Library of Congress: what do users think?
Mireille G
Mireille G: Favorite place I visited in D.C.. Words cannot begin to describe how gorgeous this building is inside and out. Every single detail so carefully thought out from the architecture to the art. Definitely go visit if you can, there’s so much to see. Also try and get a library card if you can it’s totally free and a fun souvenir to keep. It’s a legit library card and you can use it to enter the main reading room but you usually need to make an appointment weeks in advance to get in room but the card is a nice memory to keep.
Nicole Pascotescu
Nicole Pascotescu: Beautiful. Photos will never do it justice, you need to see it in person! It’s literally breathtaking. It’s amazing to just stand in the middle of it and look up in awe. I went on a school trip from DC and it was a great learning experience. But really I’ve never seen such beautiful architecture and design.
Sonya Williams (Wildflowers and Hooyahs)
Sonya Williams (Wildflowers and Hooyahs): What an incredible experience! It took us about twenty mins to get library cards but it was worth it! We also felt the amount of people there on a Tuesday was weird but it’s popular for a reason. Will def return. The staff were so nice and knowledgeable.
VikinGA
VikinGA: Gorgeous! The national library of the United States and the largest library in the world! Its collections include more than 30 million catalogued books and other print materials in 470 languages. It holds the largest rare book collection in North America, including the rough draft of the Declaration of Independence and one of the Gutenberg Bibles!!!
Ashok Patel
Ashok Patel: Library of Congress, a national symbol of knowledge is the largest and oldest library of United States established in 1800. This is the research library for Congress and open for public for research only and the books or materials can not be checked out. The library is housed in three buildings on Capitol Hill. The research material is from all over the world in more than 450 languages. The library has more than 160 million items and everyday 10,000 new items are being added. We booked the timed tickets online to visit the library. I couldn’t get the timed tickets 5 days before but some limited tickets are released everyday morning at 9.00 am. Exactly at 9.00 AM I tried and I got the desired time slot. There is no entry fee. As a book lover, it was my dream to visit this unbelievable and incredible heritage library. Anyone can have access to the library if you have Reader Identification Card. The building architecture and the sculptures inside and outside are absolutely stunning. It is very theatrical, heavily ornamented and the decorative paintings and beautiful sculptures place this building among greatest art and architecture in America. The exhibition of photography and about Rosa Parks was very impressive. The mosaics, the frescos and the stained glass work is amazing. Thomas Jefferson’s personal library and the main reading room is great attraction. Unfortunately, we could see the main reading room from high above with limited sight through the thick glass. I wanted to see those millions of books on the shelves as I dreamed off, but what I saw was mostly exhibitions in a museum kind of setting. However, this is a must see attraction.
Richa Rashmi
Richa Rashmi: What an amazing Greek architecture! This place is a jungle of Corinthian columns, a sea of books and a sky of murals. It’s absolutely stunning. Be sure to checkout Jefferson’s own donation of myriad books along with an exhibition of Rosa Park’s works. Also, entry is by appointment only. There’s a book shop that hosts souvenirs ranging from books to crockeries.
Juhi Pac
Juhi Pac: Beautiful historic building with gorgeous architecture. There are two and a half floors of museum-exhibits of some of the maps and records that the library keeps. Absolutely worth it for the free price and close proximity to South Capitol metro station
Rany SADER
Rany SADER: By far, one of the best experiences ever if you are into culture. A fan of books, I loved the place, the heritage, the building and the whole experience. Don’t think twice if you like a Library. One of the best I ever visited.
Jon Scott
Jon Scott: This is a must visit while in DC. The architecture and history was worth every minute. Take time to ask a Docent about specifics of the area you are in. Jim (docent) was so knowledgeable and spent ten minutes explaining the sculpture and paintings. The photographic exhibit was a bonus and Tomas Jefferson’s library exhibit was as well.
Alexandra B
Alexandra B: A library dedicated to knowledge and education in every way possible. One of my favorite places in DC. Every inch of this building is a tribute to history, the pursuit of knowledge, and the contributions of those who came before us. Note you have to reserve a timed entry pass online in order to visit the library.

Bitraven
Bitraven: Asked for a couple of thousand bucks to fund the nuclear project I am running in my backyard, turned down my request and said they put me on some kind of no flight list or something. Overall, 0/5, would never recommend. Better off getting those funds from Russia or Iran anyway.
Guy Ben-Zeev
Guy Ben-Zeev: Hi peoples, i would not recommended this place. I’ve been here a couple of time and each time I have been disappointed by the service. They charge wayyyyy too much—6 million dollar interest?? And for what?? I could get that money so much easier money laundering. These stingy, Eurocentric IMF-ERS are trying to scam me. do not go here, hit me up if you need help with any future plans or nuclear weapons. George Washington's Mount Vernon: what do users think?
David Cardone
David Cardone: If you’re a history buff then this is a must. Great little tour of the interior of the mansion with other available tours to add on. They do offer a National Treasure tour that provides some interesting facts about the mansion and grounds in relation to the movie. This tour takes you into the basement of the mansion whereas the $2 mansion tour does not. Beautiful gift shops and there is food available. Good for kids. Check out the Inn next door to entrance for brunch, lunch, and dinner.
Rodricka Elliott
Rodricka Elliott: Great for a nature walk. I did some birdwatching while there and enjoyed the scenery while there. A lot of open space to have a picnic after seeing the house and grounds. Overall, it’s a great day all day activity for the family. I did go during the day on a weekday so it was not too crowded.
Green Angel
Green Angel: Great services, very helpful staff, good for all ages. I learned that Washington real body was transferred to the new tomb. The tomb of George Washington on the right along with his wife Martha on the left and 25 other families members are entombed there. The gift shop is huge, they are two sides for shopping. One for decoration stuffs cost up to $2k+, another one for souvenirs gift. Spending about 3hours to walk around and learning history about Father of our country.
Darwin Parker
Darwin Parker: What a great place to visit! George Washington worked hard to serve and improve life. It was amazing to see where he lived, his tomb, and his legacy. Side note- my son passed out in front of the entrance and the staff was incredibly helpful and prompt to take care of him and get an ambulance to come check him out. The staff checked on him throughout the day multiple times to make sure he was okay.
Stephens Basement
Stephens Basement: I have always wanted to visit My. Vernon but for some reason never did till yesterday. I am so glad I did. It was a very well maintained national landmark. I did think the entrance fee was a little high but they provide a free audio self tour and the tour of the house is included in the price. The staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I have a habit of asking lots of questions and they had an answer every time. George Washington was an outstanding man and leader.
Diana Hidalgo Díaz
Diana Hidalgo Díaz: The location looks very well preserved and taken care of. The tour guide we had during the house tour was knowledgeable and friendly. The museum was remarkable too. The souvenir shop is big and has a wide variety of items to purchase. I had a very good experience overall!
Virginia VanKeulen
Virginia VanKeulen: Went on a Tuesday in May. Several school groups but they were easy to avoid. Otherwise not very busy. Learned a lot about George Washington. Really enjoyed the enslaved people tour, the house tour, Martha Washington, the fifer and the beautiful flowers. Rangers were plentiful, helpful and informative. Definitely worth a visit.

Woodrow Wilson House: what do users think?
Hussain
Hussain: Highly recommend paying the $10 Tour, $5 for students. They give you all the details that you wouldn’t know without the tour. Tours are self-guided. Garden open, weather permitting. The President Woodrow Wilson House offers an intimate look at one of America’s greatest Presidents, statesman and Nobel Prize winner. View authentic objects from the White House and elaborate gifts of state. This Embassy Row house is a living textbook of “modern” American life in the 1920s from silent films to flapper dresses and zinc sinks.
David Morrison
David Morrison: Interesting museum. I attended for a private event, and this place is perfect for a low-key yet upscale event. Museum staff are friendly, helpful, and knowledgable.
Mary Petras
Mary Petras: The tour last one hour, but arrive about 20 min early to view a short video summarizing Wilson’s life and presidency. A knowledgeable docent leads you through the sitting room, dining room, bedrooms, and kitchen. Artifacts, furniture, and portraits are explained in each room. Be sure to check out the interactive room at the end where you can sit at a desk or couch and try on spectacles and hats while posing with a phonograph and old telephone from Wilson’s era.
MaryJane Burgess
MaryJane Burgess: The house is only open to tour with a staff member. Tour is an hour. It was very interesting and the docent was knowledgeable. Made history come alive with little known facts and stories. Well worth a visit.
Rusty Wilson
Rusty Wilson: Could not wait for the next tour. Every hour on the hour had the opportunity to look inside very good assortment of his furniture and the story behind it. Next time I will stay longer.
delovi canales
delovi canales: Excellent place to bring your wife and kids to learn more about historical events, the staff was very pleasant and knowledgeable. Recommend!! Check Group pon and get discounts
Ted Kidwell
Ted Kidwell: We visited here last summer it was a great place to see if you like history and historical places this a must place for you to visit. The staff great the tour was very good ,a great place for people of all ages.
Bid Penny
Bid Penny: Woodrow Wilson home is such a beautiful hidden jewel in Washington D.C. I live in N. VA and have done almost everything in DC. I wanted to try something different and chose the Woodrow Wilson home. Their website is not the best, but WOW the home and tour is spectacular! The home is 11,000 square feet and 90% of the furniture and artifacts are original. Beautiful paintings, art and decor. The tour is an hour long and includes a short introduction video about Woodrow Wilson. The home takes you back to the 1920s and is just amazing. I would even go again. I will definitely take my next out of town guests here. Parking was great too. I went on a Sunday and parked literally right in front of his home.

cookie Pirolli: They take care of my husband but always being told how many other patients she’s taking care of. Got denied 2 times for Caregivers pay.You come to my house and dress your veteran.
Lance
Lance: Veterans affairs would rather save money by veteran suicide than expand research into the benefits of medical cannabis in relation to ptsd. Cannabis saved this veterans life, while the VA ignored our cries for help.
Chris Roseberry
Chris Roseberry: So I have recently retired and received my VA rating so yesterday I called so I could set appointments and start being seen. The individual I spoke with when using then number above was great, helped me change a few things, ensured I was in the system correctly and then explained which clinic I would go to. Then once I was transferred to the Belvoir VA clinic I get a voice mail and asked to leave a message every time I called. Not the way I wanted to start my VA experience!!!!
Michaela Rehm
Michaela Rehm: The VA is the worst agency I have ever come across. I had to fight with the VA for over two years to receive an apportionment for my 2 children. Once that was finally in place and they turned 18 the funds went to them. They are to receive as long as they are in school. Well here we are again, 1 child changed from a community college to a 4 year school so we submitted a request for school attendance on an existing claim. So according to the records they received it July 12, 2016 and have been trying to get a status update since then. I was just told today that they should complete the claim by August 2017. Are you kidding me? She turns 23 next month so the benefit stops anyways. How hare is it to change the name of a school in the computer system? Over a year? What exactly are they doing? Oh the claim was also upgraded to financial hardship so it moves through the system quicker, really 13 months is quicker? When you call the "customer service" line all you get is what they read off of a script. This place is a joke. I truly believe because we have been calling and checking on status and keeping up on things that the file has been flagged not to move along. This is not the first time we had to change schools and it took less than a month. I have contacted my Senator and just might have to go to the media next to expose how bad the VA really is. Shameful!!!!
Brian Dunlap
Brian Dunlap: When I moved to North Carolina for 30 days I tried to call to transfer health my health care from Philadelphia Pennsylvania to North Carolina. I physically had to drive 350 miles round trip to physically in roll a my health care. I waited 3 months to get a primary care Doctor. My primary care physician put in we farolles for a cardiologist a vascular doctor a dermatologist and a ENT Doctor. I m still waiting that has been 5 months now and 2 weeks ago I ended up in the hospital from a HEART ATTACK. Do not rely on VA Health Care cause I believe there job is to KILL US OFF INSTEAD OF HELPING US.
