Library of Congress: what do users think?

Mireille G: Favorite place I visited in D.C.. Words cannot begin to describe how gorgeous this building is inside and out. Every single detail so carefully thought out from the architecture to the art. Definitely go visit if you can, there’s so much to see. Also try and get a library card if you can it’s totally free and a fun souvenir to keep. It’s a legit library card and you can use it to enter the main reading room but you usually need to make an appointment weeks in advance to get in room but the card is a nice memory to keep.

Nicole Pascotescu: Beautiful. Photos will never do it justice, you need to see it in person! It’s literally breathtaking. It’s amazing to just stand in the middle of it and look up in awe. I went on a school trip from DC and it was a great learning experience. But really I’ve never seen such beautiful architecture and design.

Sonya Williams (Wildflowers and Hooyahs): What an incredible experience! It took us about twenty mins to get library cards but it was worth it! We also felt the amount of people there on a Tuesday was weird but it’s popular for a reason. Will def return. The staff were so nice and knowledgeable.

VikinGA: Gorgeous! The national library of the United States and the largest library in the world! Its collections include more than 30 million catalogued books and other print materials in 470 languages. It holds the largest rare book collection in North America, including the rough draft of the Declaration of Independence and one of the Gutenberg Bibles!!!

Ashok Patel: Library of Congress, a national symbol of knowledge is the largest and oldest library of United States established in 1800. This is the research library for Congress and open for public for research only and the books or materials can not be checked out. The library is housed in three buildings on Capitol Hill. The research material is from all over the world in more than 450 languages. The library has more than 160 million items and everyday 10,000 new items are being added. We booked the timed tickets online to visit the library. I couldn’t get the timed tickets 5 days before but some limited tickets are released everyday morning at 9.00 am. Exactly at 9.00 AM I tried and I got the desired time slot. There is no entry fee. As a book lover, it was my dream to visit this unbelievable and incredible heritage library. Anyone can have access to the library if you have Reader Identification Card. The building architecture and the sculptures inside and outside are absolutely stunning. It is very theatrical, heavily ornamented and the decorative paintings and beautiful sculptures place this building among greatest art and architecture in America. The exhibition of photography and about Rosa Parks was very impressive. The mosaics, the frescos and the stained glass work is amazing. Thomas Jefferson’s personal library and the main reading room is great attraction. Unfortunately, we could see the main reading room from high above with limited sight through the thick glass. I wanted to see those millions of books on the shelves as I dreamed off, but what I saw was mostly exhibitions in a museum kind of setting. However, this is a must see attraction.

Richa Rashmi: What an amazing Greek architecture! This place is a jungle of Corinthian columns, a sea of books and a sky of murals. It’s absolutely stunning. Be sure to checkout Jefferson’s own donation of myriad books along with an exhibition of Rosa Park’s works. Also, entry is by appointment only. There’s a book shop that hosts souvenirs ranging from books to crockeries.

Juhi Pac: Beautiful historic building with gorgeous architecture. There are two and a half floors of museum-exhibits of some of the maps and records that the library keeps. Absolutely worth it for the free price and close proximity to South Capitol metro station

Rany SADER: By far, one of the best experiences ever if you are into culture. A fan of books, I loved the place, the heritage, the building and the whole experience. Don’t think twice if you like a Library. One of the best I ever visited.

Jon Scott: This is a must visit while in DC. The architecture and history was worth every minute. Take time to ask a Docent about specifics of the area you are in. Jim (docent) was so knowledgeable and spent ten minutes explaining the sculpture and paintings. The photographic exhibit was a bonus and Tomas Jefferson’s library exhibit was as well.

Alexandra B: A library dedicated to knowledge and education in every way possible. One of my favorite places in DC. Every inch of this building is a tribute to history, the pursuit of knowledge, and the contributions of those who came before us. Note you have to reserve a timed entry pass online in order to visit the library.

International Monetary Fund: what do users think?

Bitraven: Asked for a couple of thousand bucks to fund the nuclear project I am running in my backyard, turned down my request and said they put me on some kind of no flight list or something. Overall, 0/5, would never recommend. Better off getting those funds from Russia or Iran anyway.

Guy Ben-Zeev: Hi peoples, i would not recommended this place. I’ve been here a couple of time and each time I have been disappointed by the service. They charge wayyyyy too much—6 million dollar interest?? And for what?? I could get that money so much easier money laundering. These stingy, Eurocentric IMF-ERS are trying to scam me. do not go here, hit me up if you need help with any future plans or nuclear weapons. If you have spare organs, I can help you make the most of them. -5/10

Abdallah: [An-Nisāʼ - 161] And their taking of Riba (usury) though they were forbidden from taking it and their devouring of people's substance wrongfully (bribery, etc.). And We have prepared for the disbelievers among them a painful torment.

Nomis Chernobyl: Uhh tried to borrow what, 400 quadrillion dollars? Apparently “I can’t loan that”, and “That’s both an overwhelming large loan and a impossible loan”. Really dont like service here. 1/100,000,000

Napk: Peoples, Don't go here. When I went here I was expecting monetary gain but they only insisted on pain; they fed me rusty ahh pizza while they severed my leg and sold it on the black market whilst I watched they had these dimly lit rooms which they called the "backrooms" and told me to go inside I did and this goofy lookin' creature came up to me and drank the blood dripping out my leg. Horrible.

Krish Patel: Amazing service, great financial decisions, love the interest (please release my family)

Sitly feniase: privately own company who controls the whole nation while act like the villian from Jamesbond movie? i don't see nothing wrong here

Hari Lalwani: Why doesn’t imf check the money taken by the Rajapeksa regime n bring it back to country where we all are suffering before restitution of funds

Mahmoud Selim: Helping world economy always to recover using best practices in surveillance and capacity development for meme er countries

Jacob: Any group that helps Francis Underwood get funds for Victor Petrov and Russia, alongside returning a traitor, Igor Milkin, back to the Russian homeland, well, hell... they're a-okay in my book. 👌 *Ppppfffftttt* 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣💀

George Washington's Mount Vernon: what do users think?

JoJo Q: We visited George Washington's Mansion last weekend at Mount Vernon, VA. We had a great time. It's a must see and good for all ages. The mansion and location itself is well preserved and maintained. I love how the tour guides are knowledgeable about the historic place, they are friendly too and answers your questions well. Don't forget to stop by the museum too, they have a lot of interesting historic items that they use back in the days. And good information about The Washington. If ever you got hungry, they have a restaurant right before the entrance that you can also try, or the food court upon exiting the museum. They also have a souvenir shop upon exiting the museum. Overall, We had a great experience.

Mark Wells: Incredible! If you can go, Go! Great for all ages. We took a family of 4, ages 10-40 and everyone enjoyed it. History and information galore that you didn't know you wanted to know, but you absolutely do! We went on George Washington's Birthday celebration which provided so much entertainment. The museum and 4D movie is a must! The mansion tour is worth the time. I'm not sure if Washington himself is there all the time, but meeting him on the estate was a fun surprise.

David Cardone: If you’re a history buff then this is a must. Great little tour of the interior of the mansion with other available tours to add on. They do offer a National Treasure tour that provides some interesting facts about the mansion and grounds in relation to the movie. This tour takes you into the basement of the mansion whereas the $2 mansion tour does not. Beautiful gift shops and there is food available. Good for kids. Check out the Inn next door to entrance for brunch, lunch, and dinner.

Rodricka Elliott: Great for a nature walk. I did some birdwatching while there and enjoyed the scenery while there. A lot of open space to have a picnic after seeing the house and grounds. Overall, it’s a great day all day activity for the family. I did go during the day on a weekday so it was not too crowded.

Green Angel: Great services, very helpful staff, good for all ages. I learned that Washington real body was transferred to the new tomb. The tomb of George Washington on the right along with his wife Martha on the left and 25 other families members are entombed there. The gift shop is huge, they are two sides for shopping. One for decoration stuffs cost up to $2k+, another one for souvenirs gift. Spending about 3hours to walk around and learning history about Father of our country.

Darwin Parker: What a great place to visit! George Washington worked hard to serve and improve life. It was amazing to see where he lived, his tomb, and his legacy. Side note- my son passed out in front of the entrance and the staff was incredibly helpful and prompt to take care of him and get an ambulance to come check him out. The staff checked on him throughout the day multiple times to make sure he was okay.

Stephens Basement: I have always wanted to visit My. Vernon but for some reason never did till yesterday. I am so glad I did. It was a very well maintained national landmark. I did think the entrance fee was a little high but they provide a free audio self tour and the tour of the house is included in the price. The staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I have a habit of asking lots of questions and they had an answer every time. George Washington was an outstanding man and leader.

Diana Hidalgo Díaz: The location looks very well preserved and taken care of. The tour guide we had during the house tour was knowledgeable and friendly. The museum was remarkable too. The souvenir shop is big and has a wide variety of items to purchase. I had a very good experience overall!

Brian Cummings: Large and well kept. You can easily spend an entire day. There are a number of far flung attractions. The distillery requires riding the shuttle or driving. The mansion tour costs extra. On busy days, it's wise to book in advance. It is very nice, but calling it guided is a slight exaggeration. You move from room to room with experts who may offer a thirty second introduction and then are available to answer questions.

Virginia VanKeulen: Went on a Tuesday in May. Several school groups but they were easy to avoid. Otherwise not very busy. Learned a lot about George Washington. Really enjoyed the enslaved people tour, the house tour, Martha Washington, the fifer and the beautiful flowers. Rangers were plentiful, helpful and informative. Definitely worth a visit.

Woodrow Wilson House: what do users think?

Hussain: Highly recommend paying the $10 Tour, $5 for students. They give you all the details that you wouldn’t know without the tour. Tours are self-guided. Garden open, weather permitting. The President Woodrow Wilson House offers an intimate look at one of America’s greatest Presidents, statesman and Nobel Prize winner. View authentic objects from the White House and elaborate gifts of state. This Embassy Row house is a living textbook of “modern” American life in the 1920s from silent films to flapper dresses and zinc sinks.

David Morrison: Interesting museum. I attended for a private event, and this place is perfect for a low-key yet upscale event. Museum staff are friendly, helpful, and knowledgable.

Mary Petras: The tour last one hour, but arrive about 20 min early to view a short video summarizing Wilson’s life and presidency. A knowledgeable docent leads you through the sitting room, dining room, bedrooms, and kitchen. Artifacts, furniture, and portraits are explained in each room. Be sure to check out the interactive room at the end where you can sit at a desk or couch and try on spectacles and hats while posing with a phonograph and old telephone from Wilson’s era.

MaryJane Burgess: The house is only open to tour with a staff member. Tour is an hour. It was very interesting and the docent was knowledgeable. Made history come alive with little known facts and stories. Well worth a visit.

Catherine Davis: Wonderful museum!. A must see. It's an easy 10 minute walk from the metro. It's a slice of American & personal history in quiet and affluent neighborhood. Enjoy the walk. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and welcoming. Highly recommended.

Rusty Wilson: Could not wait for the next tour. Every hour on the hour had the opportunity to look inside very good assortment of his furniture and the story behind it. Next time I will stay longer.

Ferdinand Macatangay: The tours run every hour on the hour. You get a genuine look at Woodrow Wilson's house, almost everything is still there from the 1920's. Tour guides are very helpful and knowledgeable.

delovi canales: Excellent place to bring your wife and kids to learn more about historical events, the staff was very pleasant and knowledgeable. Recommend!! Check Group pon and get discounts

Ted Kidwell: We visited here last summer it was a great place to see if you like history and historical places this a must place for you to visit. The staff great the tour was very good ,a great place for people of all ages.

Bid Penny: Woodrow Wilson home is such a beautiful hidden jewel in Washington D.C. I live in N. VA and have done almost everything in DC. I wanted to try something different and chose the Woodrow Wilson home. Their website is not the best, but WOW the home and tour is spectacular! The home is 11,000 square feet and 90% of the furniture and artifacts are original. Beautiful paintings, art and decor. The tour is an hour long and includes a short introduction video about Woodrow Wilson. The home takes you back to the 1920s and is just amazing. I would even go again. I will definitely take my next out of town guests here. Parking was great too. I went on a Sunday and parked literally right in front of his home.

Statuesque Events: As event designers we LOVE this space! We designed the Spirit of Barbados gala in 2017 for the Embassy of Barbados and the ballroom gives an amazing canvas to build on! We love the columns and the overall style. We would love to return to plan and design another event very soon! Photos by Softclick Studios

Janet Hubbard: I’ve been going to my stylist now for 2 1/2 years .. She totally changed my look with a new haircut and color the first visit and I was so happy and satisfied with the new me! She is very talented . Holly is at this salon . It is a beautiful and peaceful environment . Holly definitely gets a 10+++++!

Maricela Chavez Ruiz: Great place to visit. Limited parking, food trucks around the block. Restaurant within walking distance

Gwendolyn Robertson: President Biden was returning home from all his activities that day. So traffic was halted for 30mins. Right in from of this memorial. I watched the presidential helicopter and caravan to end the delay on Constitution Avenue.

Youssef Elkei: Gorgeous location and excellent ball rooms. Highly recommended for large diplomatic receptions and larger formal events.

Brian Bristol: Attended the graduation ceremony of Class 61.

Bob Johnson: I'd give this place 0 stars if I could. Horrible atmosphere. Directly responsible for the ousting of Evo Morales from his democratically elected position. No snacks either. Would not go back.

Marcelo Pereira: One of the most beautiful places in Washington DC!

El Negro Matapacos: They have nice mood lighting, but they also created false claims of election fraud to destabilize the democratically elected president of Bolivia. It's a toss up.

James Lytle: Finally got to see inside the building, and it didn't disappoint. Beautiful lobby/atrium, and amazing great hall. If one gets a chance to visit the OAS on 17th St., one should take advantage of that chance.

Georgetown University: what do users think?

Alex Kolkena: For the record, I didn't go to school here, but I've only heard good things. From a tourist's perspective, there's plenty of neat architecture on campus. It's in one of the older sections of Washington DC, so definitely worth checking out.

Da-Wang Wu: I have several talented colleagues who graduated from Georgetown University, so I always want to visit this school. The campus is very beautiful, especially with the fall foliage. It’s a nice half-day trip to visit the university, the shopping area (mainly on M Street), the canal and the waterfront park.

Danny L: Must place to visit if you are visiting DC. Lots of things to do around the university. Great place for photography and sightseeing. Plenty of Restaurants around that area. You would love it.

David Gilbank: I fulfilled a lifelong ambition when I came to Georgetown to see where The Exorcist was filmed. I particularly wanted to throw my self down the stairs that featured in the finale. Obviously that could cause terrible damage, so I through a soft toy down instead. See photos. Its a brilliant beautiful neighbourhood. Well worth a visit.

Mj Dillenburg: Great graduation ceremonies! Except for the 95 degree heat and humidity....it was beautiful.

Adnana K: I've had my last two kids here. They met all my needs in that time. Both C-sections were done perfectly. Two and a half days hospital stay. Recovery was very successfull. Staff was very friendly and professional. I highly recommend this hospital.

Russ Watts: Excellent university, superb perspective on the political realm, mindful about the Jesuit values.

Enric Piferrer Torres: We stopped for a quick walk around the university buildings, and it was worth it! It reminded me of Harry Potter somehow. Beautiful main building. We parked outside for free in a 2 hour parking (no meter). The neighborhood is beautiful too

Justin Ahearn: So charming and beautiful. Feel like I’m going to get culture of Washington DC and the people that I meet are great

lilian gonzalez: I do not come to school here but it's a must place to visit and see in person!!! The buildings are so beautiful and massive. It's breathtaking. The surrending place to grab food is amazing and you can bring it back and either sit in the rocking chairs or picnic tables they have or bring a blanket and lay under a tree and relax!! It's so nice!!

JC Elizondo: I have 1130+ days downrange- registered in the system for service connected etc. Yet if 2yrs goes by; you have to present a dd214 n ss card 6 6 forms but its on the VA card you show when you walk in💀🙉 if you make $1 more per hour than minimum wage from mcdonalds: you make tooo much for Va healthcare; to the actors that get paid 6 figures yearly with your 4 day weekends twice a month; getting paid $600prediem a day Going on stages and online and patting your civilian backs' selling snake oil to America on camera about improving the Comical and Malpractice infested system. There are wonderful!! People in the system. Except the Top

cookie Pirolli: They take care of my husband but always being told how many other patients she’s taking care of. Got denied 2 times for Caregivers pay.You come to my house and dress your veteran.

Lance: Veterans affairs would rather save money by veteran suicide than expand research into the benefits of medical cannabis in relation to ptsd. Cannabis saved this veterans life, while the VA ignored our cries for help.

Chris Roseberry: So I have recently retired and received my VA rating so yesterday I called so I could set appointments and start being seen. The individual I spoke with when using then number above was great, helped me change a few things, ensured I was in the system correctly and then explained which clinic I would go to. Then once I was transferred to the Belvoir VA clinic I get a voice mail and asked to leave a message every time I called. Not the way I wanted to start my VA experience!!!!

Michaela Rehm: The VA is the worst agency I have ever come across. I had to fight with the VA for over two years to receive an apportionment for my 2 children. Once that was finally in place and they turned 18 the funds went to them. They are to receive as long as they are in school. Well here we are again, 1 child changed from a community college to a 4 year school so we submitted a request for school attendance on an existing claim. So according to the records they received it July 12, 2016 and have been trying to get a status update since then. I was just told today that they should complete the claim by August 2017. Are you kidding me? She turns 23 next month so the benefit stops anyways. How hare is it to change the name of a school in the computer system? Over a year? What exactly are they doing? Oh the claim was also upgraded to financial hardship so it moves through the system quicker, really 13 months is quicker? When you call the "customer service" line all you get is what they read off of a script. This place is a joke. I truly believe because we have been calling and checking on status and keeping up on things that the file has been flagged not to move along. This is not the first time we had to change schools and it took less than a month. I have contacted my Senator and just might have to go to the media next to expose how bad the VA really is. Shameful!!!!

Brian Dunlap: When I moved to North Carolina for 30 days I tried to call to transfer health my health care from Philadelphia Pennsylvania to North Carolina. I physically had to drive 350 miles round trip to physically in roll a my health care. I waited 3 months to get a primary care Doctor. My primary care physician put in we farolles for a cardiologist a vascular doctor a dermatologist and a ENT Doctor. I m still waiting that has been 5 months now and 2 weeks ago I ended up in the hospital from a HEART ATTACK. Do not rely on VA Health Care cause I believe there job is to KILL US OFF INSTEAD OF HELPING US.

Alice bu: The VA functions as a large insurance company that wants to deny its clients support. Its not disorganization, its structured funds being held from the vets and given to the top. The best of us treated like insurance claims. My theory was that it was an agency that was just too big to be organized. That's not why it's not helping vets. It's a ponzi scheme on the inside, the systems they poured copious funds into are sensitive not disorganized. This is a design. The higher ups in this agency have the best insurance money can buy and golden parachutes, they make over 6 figures, disgusting place. I'm ashamed of them.

John Gray: The VA is among the most incompetent agencies in the entire federal government. I tried using VA Choice so I wouldn't have to travel ninety miles to the nearest VA hospital. Well, the first provider I tried to see kept me waiting for a half hour beyond my scheduled appointment. I walked out in disgust. I called VA Choice and informed them of the problem and told them to find me another provider. Received a call back that day, saying that the next nearest provider was thirty miles away. I agreed to see that provider, the appointment was set for today. I went to the Doctor's office and was told they had no copy of my authorization and I had never received one(should have known something was fishy). The Doctor's receptionist tried calling VA Choice. After fifteen minutes of waiting, they couldn't get through. I tried myself for another 20 minutes, couldn't get through. Went home and tried calling again, this time I got through fairly quickly and was told the had no record of my appointment. Typical bureaucratic nonsense and incompetence! Would give them negative one stars if I was allowed to.

Reta Bates: My son Richard Dean Fowler is a disabled Veteran and he has not been assigned a new primary care Doctor for the last 5 months because the offices in Monett Missouri have been closed and he has been waiting all this time for someone to assign him a Doctor. He had to travel all the way to Arkansas to get help for an infected ear. The Doctor there that treated him couldn't speak English and almost gave him medication that would have killed him because he is allergic to it. The Doctor couldn't be bothered to read his medical history. My son takes all kinds of medication and needs to see a Doctor regularly. He should not be treated this way for serving his country.

shirley mayes: My husband has bladder cancer and has a followup appointment on Monday April 23. 2018 and thanks to the Veterans Administration his veterans choice program was not approved on time because the veterans in Huntsville Alabama cancelled his appointment to see his regular physician so he could get approved for the VC program again. So, now, guess what, he is out in the cold. He served 22 years to get treated like some animal. His cancer has to be checked every 6 months to see if he has to start chemo again to keep it confined to his bladder so it doesn't spread through his body. So-if they keep on all the news channels all across the U.S. will hear about it.
