Tony Ngo: These African aides need to learn how to properly care for Americans. I have so many disputes and culture differences with these aides. My advice to you all is the moment you have a grievance or any type of problem call and report it right away or get a new aide. My grandmother has been slapped! YES I SAW ONE OF THEIR AIDES SLAP MY GRANDMOTHER ACROSS THE FACE! I called the police and the aide never returned. The people they are hiring are all migrants from Africa and let me tell you; they couldn’t care less about your loved one. Lay down ground rules and of need be take a stand. Diamond C: This Agency is very stressful to work with, when an healthcare aid doesn’t show up for work they are not dependable to send someone else as a replacement and most of the time they don’t send a replacement! The home healthcare aids have also asked to leave early on multiple occasions when a patient still required their services.The point of this company is to help but all it does is stress out the patient and the patients family even more. DO BETTER IMMACULATE!!
LaRaven: Changed my mind, worst agency ever. Quick to scold a client, but let the aides get away with EVERYTHING. I have a male caregiver who constantly yells at me and fell asleep on two different occasions and he still hasn’t been replaced yet due to “low staff and they’re only replacing him because he resigned, not because I complained about him, but if I disagree with an aide for doing something I don’t like , they’re quick to call me to talk about “respecting their aides” everything’s one sided here. The client is not always right, bad agency !
Vonnie Jones: I work in an HMO, and see several home health aids coming in with clients. Normally the home health aid is not not knowledgeable about the client or the equipment that accompanies them ie 02 tank. However I was pleasantly surprised today when Ms Charnita Ross accompanied a client. I actually thought Ms Ross was the clients daughter she was so caring and knowledgeable about the clients medical conditions. Immaculate Healthcare Services will do well if all of there Aids are caring, kind and knowledgeable as Ms Ross. When your loved one is being cared for by someone other than yourself you want the best and Ms. Ross is the best.

John Willoughby: Right At Home in DC provided compassionate care for my loved one. Mohamed and the staff worked closely with me to find the best care worker. I am very impressed with the high quality service Right St Home provides even when the work is sometimes challenging.
Wanda Brooks: After my Mom’s caretaker of almost four years retired, I needed to find someone to care for her. She is 88 years old and has Alzheimer’s. Right at Home was recommended by a colleague. I contacted them and was able to find caregivers for her. The staff , specifically Karen, at Right At Home work hard to send the right person to take care of your love one. I would recommend them without hesitation!

Patricia Wright: RAH exhibits nothing less than professional services provided by their caregivers. The caregivers are very kind, caring and has taken very good care of my sibling. Even though her caregivers have changed over the timeframe, the Scheduler, Karen Leyes always made sure to assign the appropriate caregiver that could accommodate my Sister’s needs. And the caregivers while in her home always kept us abreast of anything on their watch. On top of that my Sister enjoys their presence. They really make her feel special. I highly recommend RAH to any Family who requires caregiver needs. We feel safe with them in her home and it gives us the Family, the comfort of knowing that.
Princess Face: Overall great company however, good luck with office staff!!! Staffing coordinator, and other office staff never are on same page. They double book caregivers, very low pay for work we have to do with our clients, nobody in office gets along and very clique ish when wanting to schedule certain caregivers. They are very hypocritical, two faced and discuss personal business amongst each other to office staff pertaining to clients or caregivers. Enough is enough!! Also they can never keep stable people in office which explains why so many people are leaving/resigning due to poor management. Right at home has become the bottom of the barrel in terms of healthcare. I wouldn’t recommend this company personally for my loved one. Once they can recruit a better team the company will run smoothly. Otherwise the caregivers will continue to run the office and the manager since they are not reprimanded for their behavior whether it violates HIPAA or not. Too many Chiefs & not enough Indians!!!!

Craig: Find a different care company. I chose them because of the good reviews on here. But that’s about where it ended. The care provider did show up on day one. He said he would be there the next day. Gave me a time. The next day I texted him before the time. No response. The time came and passed. No response. I reached out to the company and the only response was “he said he would be there.” No apologies. No “let me find you another provider for the rest of the days you needed someone.” The care provider never responded to texts and never had any follow up from this company. If you want something certain then you need to find another company. Update: Al did end up finding me as a customer and confirmed they do have a male care giver. He did reach out and apologized for the issues I experienced and took corrective actions. He mentioned if he knew of these issues at the time he would have taken care of it. I believe him as he seemed genuinely concerned about the issues I experienced.

James Smith: I’m presently using Specialty Care Services to provide twenty-four hour nursing care for my mom. They have been taking care of her for the past three years. There have been lots of changes in her health lately, but Specialty Care Services has been very proactive, adapting to the necessary patient care as changes in her health occur. Any issues that we have, they address it immediately. The assigned caregivers are hardworking, dedicated, and compassionate. The office staff is very professional, courteous and genuinely care about the wellbeing of their clients. I would certainly recommend this company to anyone seeking care for their loved ones.

Janine Castorina: While still active, my mother is older and has had a variety of injuries, where she has needed some help to get back to a place where she can be more independent. Specialty Care and Sally, specifically, have been wonderful. She has been caring and reliable, in addition to being thorough in sticking to a physical therapy schedule. We have had a few assistants over the years, and by far, Sally has been the best.

Jean Kirksey: They are unconsidered about the patient well being. They come to work one day and the next day they dont show up and dont notify the person they not coming. They leave you without any consideration of what going on. They neglect their patient. I am a risk for falling. Say I fall and get hurt, no one would be here to help me. No call or no respect to let you know they not coming. This is so unprofessional. I dont see how they has the rating that they have. The rating is all lies. The aides need to be more professional than what they are. You do not leave a handicap person without letting her or him know that you not going to show up for work.

Harvey Miller: I have used this agency since June 2019, Helena was excellent, efficient, and extremely nice to my Dad. She was always on time, she did grocery shopping, provided all activities of daily living for him and she kept me informed of his health status almost daily. The office staff was always helpful in every way. I was always able to reach them, and they immediately address any question or concerns. I would recommend this agency to anyone.

Tracy Morgan: We were very lucky to have the team from Comfort Home care taking care of our mother. They were able to get a skilled caring nurse’s aid team together round the clock in short notice when we found out my mother shouldn’t be in independent living any more. The whole team was very kind and caring and very accommodating. They’d take mom to appointments too if we needed but mostly we needed them to be with mom and make sure she safely got from one room to another carefully. They also picked up her mail and meals and helped with day to day activities as well as helping her do therapy every day. Thank you Comfort home care so much for your flexibility and understanding.

Dana Aronovich: Comfort Home Care has been taking care of my father for the past 2 years (he has muscular dystrophy), allowing him to stay in his home. Marjorie Greenberg: Comfort Home Care found the ideal companion for my mother Muriel Berkowitz who we moved to the Washington area in 2010 to Ring House on the Campus of the Jewish Community Center. Very soon after, she needed help taking her medications. And then her care needs grew heavier until 2015 when she needed someone with her from the time she got up in the morning until after dinner, about 14 hours a day. Five days a week Ida Bass was my mother’s companion. The weekends were covered by a different aide. They were made for each other and shared stories and experiences. Ida called my mother after she got home to make sure she was alright. She made her noon time meal and criticized the other aides at Ring House who were often talking with each other in the lobbies instead or taking care of their charges. Comfort Home Care made sure my mother’s apartment was a safe environment for her, going through the cupboards to remove all hazardous materials and turning off her stove as she became increasingly unable to prepare her own food. The Director of Nursing came several times to change my mother’s bandages when she cut herself or had had a fall. I highly recommend Comfort Home Care for anyone who needs help caring for an elderly family member. They are experienced and their aides are caring. They helped my mother enjoy the last years of her life.

William Gandler: I had a superb experience with SmithLife Homecare. They instantly accommodated 2 doctor mandated schedule changes without raising a fuss. The driver Florence came into the recovery room and introduced herself to me and to the relevant hospital staff. She drove me back to my condo very efficiently. Davis Hasty: I had an excellent experience with Smithlife Homecare - my mother broke both her elbows in a fall and given our inability to be with her in person during her inpatient rehab due to COVID, we wanted extra care. Kathleen and her team responded immediately to my request, were very responsive and supportive as I tried to navigate the healthcare system, and even worked over the weekend to ensure my mother would have coverage as soon as possible. The caregiver, Dana, was kind and attentive. Would absolutely recommend this team to anybody.

Initially we were given the inaccurate impression, that care services could be arranged 24/7 . By Brittney another care coordinator. However Discovered that was far from the truth . We decided to move on to another agency , encouraged our friends, ministry members to avoid SmithLife Homecare services

AJo Johnson: The PT I had was good, but their billing and authorizations dept is lacking. They do not respond to emails or voicemails and their phone is almost always set to voicemail so you don’t have the ability to speak with someone if there is an urgent need. My son has been without therapy for a week now and he needs it for the recovery from his surgery. I have even offered to pay out of pocket for services if insurance delayed authorization to ensure continuous care so I honestly don’t understand what they are doing. The last bill they sent to insurance they listed me as the patient (my son was the patient) and it was of course denied because the demographics were wrong. However, they have never bothered to resubmit or even send something to me to fix it as the insurance agency said they can process it right away if I get corrected paperwork. I guess I need to find another provider, but it would have been nice to have a better transition than this to do so.
Mary O'Melveny: Potomac Home Health Care has terrific staff. Anne Marie Fiola has worked with me and my family several times. She is an OUTSTANDING and skilled therapist -- supportive, excellent, experienced, compassionate and attentive. I scheduled my latest knee replacement surgery based on her availability to help me strengthen and heal. Five stars are simply not enough!!!

Trish Nelson: How can a nurse who takes an oath to do no harm turn a blind eye to an elderly man who is incapable of properly taking care of himself? A man going through radiation, losing weight rapidly, 84 years old a getting weaker by the day...please explain this to me. The patient is your responsibility while under your care. I guess money for a job you are NOT doing well is your reason. This situation is going to be reported to the proper authorities and the insurance company. When you are getting paid to look after a certain person you are supposed to do that NOT do what his manipulative, controlling mouthy daughters wants.

Linda Baker: 2 years ago I had to have my hip replaced. When I returned home 2 days later I was all set up with Adventist Home Health services out of the Southern MD Office. The nurses were very good, explained everything well. The therapists were great, and had me up and walking in no time. After 8 years of pain and discomfort, it was a relief to be so well taken care of and people who understood my pain and nervousness. Definitely give them 5 stars and will use them again if necessary i hope not:-(

CG MAN: Very disappointed with the staffs. The staffs lied to me about submitting Medicaid insurance for my father for home care services and wasted our time during the most critical times of our family. Upon asking the reference number for Medicaid application, the staffs disappeared and ignored all my calls and emails. So we had to find another reliable company to help us out who walked the talk and provided us with a reference number immediately after submitting the application. Thank God that we did not have to deal with these dishonest nutcases.
Joe Lane: Capital Home Care has provided a wonderful aide for my brother for the last couple of years. She understands him, as well as his condition, and she is consistently reliable in meeting his needs. She has earned his trust - and ours. The managers have also been sensitive to his needs, and responsive when we have called.
Long Pants: Have used several other agencies--all have been unreliable. Capital has shown to be reliable - the aides responsive on time and fulfill instructions on behalf of the client. Especially impressive is Suriya, who arranges and schedules the aides. She goes the extra mile for the client/patient and is a great asset to her employer, Capital Home Care.
Fir St: This company has two branches: one in Maryland and one in Virginia. I am writing a review for the Virginia branch. This company is known to intimidate its caregivers and withhold their pay. They use extremely disrespecting tactics and try to scare their caregivers to prevent the loss of clients. Frequently services are not provided and caregivers are not sent due to various excuses leaving the family without anyone to take care of parents.

Alan Dappen: As a community family physician who makes house calls and works with the elderly, I’m often listening to complicated family stories. These normal issues of the aging process include: sorting out safety, finances, care giving, support, living arrangements, family dynamics, legal and health considerations, to name just a few of the factors that need to be worked-out and coordinated. This is when I pull-out my, “You need a geriatric care manager,” speech. “It’s the easiest and fastest way to fix this problem.” Then I hand them a list of geriatric care managers to consider.
