Tesfaye Gari: I have a 3 year old Whirlpool Refrigerator and the ice maker stopped working. I called got scheduled but the technicians who came worried about only his $60 checkup fee and said the door needs to be replaced which costs $900 or more and additional equipments which adds up over the price of the refrigerator. Doesn’t worth calling Vision Appliance. I personally don’t recommend at all and if there was a zero star I would give that. Hope some one learn from my mistake
Response: We are sorry that you feel that way, but I need to clarify the status of your fridge. When the technician came to do the diagnosis, he realized that the problem was with the harness, some wires at the bottom of the fridge door were cut and that’s why the Ice Maker stopped working, clearly this usually happen because of owners misuse, by opening the door to the maximum extend and very strongly. The damage there will not be fixed by reconnecting or extending wires because it is dangerous and not reliable, since with the opening of the door the connections will expand again and get loose, this could cause an electric surge. The only way to fix this problem is to change the door, as the wires are permanently fixed to it. We have called you and left a message to contact us and we also offered to refund you the service charge of $59.00 but you did not come back to us. At Vision Appliance Repair, we take all reviews seriously and into consideration to improve our service, but we will not accept bad reviews when it has nothing to do with our technicians or service.

kerricha cox (Kasey): Vision appliance repair is a great repair company, they came did a diagnostic on our dryer. Within a couple days they came with a new motor and clean our our dryer. Now it works great. I am really happy with it so far.

Steven Lew: Great experience. Manny is the man! Water was backing into my dishwasher forcing me to run the dishwasher every 4 hours to remove the water. It eventually flooded. I called Manny on Black Friday morning and he gave me an early PM appointment. I described the problem over the phone and he diagnosed the issue (valve problem), picked up the replacement valve, and fixed the problem within 3 hours. All the other appliance repair places were telling me Monday at the earliest. Problem solved. I am a realtor and will definitely refer Manny to my clients.

K A: I hired One Stop Appliance Repairs after a pest control company broke my dishwasher. The people at One Stop were polite and friendly, practical, and knowledgable. The man who did the repair wore foot covers and left the dishwasher area clean when he was done. He replaced both door springs, answered my questions, secured the dishwasher with the brackets that the pest control people left off, and replaced the decorative wood at the top of the unit. It's been a few weeks, and the repair seems to have done the trick. What more could I ask for? I would definitely hire them again. Service: Dishwasher repair

Erin Howard: Please please do not use this company for your own safety. First check the reviews on the Better Business Bureau and the “F” rating. You can’t write a review and file a complaint on the BBB website. It’s one of the other. Also, check Facebook. They were a problem from the beginning, no communication, showed up hours early for appointment with no call. We started to smell something in our house a few weeks after they left. They had pulled the oven out to “fix” it. We didn’t know there was a gas leak. Later, the oven made a terrible sound even when turned off!!!!!! We pulled it away from the wall to unplug it. Gas leak. I called the company with my complaint and he says “you smelled gas in your house since March?” In a condescending and evil way. What a frightening experience. I think the problem just got worse over time but we don’t go back behind our oven….he did. Watch out. No remorse and could’ve killed us. Service: Oven repair

We will use Atlantic Appliance Repair for all appliance repair and servicing, and we give them our highest recommendation. Outstanding owner and tech.

Satesh Pawaroo: My relatively new dryer stopped working and I did not know who to call so I contacted Samsung the manufacturer. The earliest they could come out was at least 2 weeks out and the estimate was $450.00. So I did a quick google search for appliance repair near me and found Atlantic Appliance Repair. I called their number and was pleasantly surprised that they could come out the following day and check the dryer to let me know what was going on. The technician Hicham called me 15 minutes prior to arrival and was very nice and explained what was going on. He replaced the thermostat and cleaned everything out, he left everything cleaner than he found it. I was also happy to see that they applied the diagnostic fee to the total bill so they saved me over $150.00 compared to the other estimate I received. I will definitely recommend them to family and friends, and I will be using them now on for my repair needs. I also want to thank Hicham for making this process so simple and painless.

Jake Grodt: I work for a property management company and we have been very fortunate to work with Atlantic Appliance for many years now. Their technician's do great work at reasonable prices. They are always honest on whether or not they think the the appliance is worth repairing or if we would be better off to replace. I highly recommend this company for any of your appliance repair needs.

Rob Wise: Once the job is assigned to a tech the company directs any communications to the tech. Our tech didn't communicate unless we contacted him first. One month and a continuously changing diagnosis on a gas dryer left us to find another firm to fix our dryer. Poor customer service at a level that doesn't deserve the one star. An appliance repair company that shows no regard for a family without a working dryer for a month.

But, the manager would not order the part required until I had called 5 times in 4 days. I just gave up. I went to Bray and Scarff a purchased a new dishwasher and had it installed by the time I received a call back from the manager... I would not recommend this firm if you want a repair done and have a time constraint... Since I was not able to have them order the necessary part or do a repair I can't tell how reliable their workmanship is.

Chuck Hall: Our dryer stopped working and with 2 teenagers , 2:dogs a wife and 80 year old father in the house, I got a bit frantic. I called these guys and they were out the very next day. A part was needed but got it overnighted and 2 days later we we're up and running. The cost was under half of what a new unit would have been. I was very happy with the service.

The scheduler had been incredibly rude when I scheduled. Not impressed and certainly would not recommend. I am now left with a non functioning dishwasher!!

Yesterday, Dave, one of their techs, solved another issue with the ice maker on our Kitchen Aid refrigerator. I watched him carefully and skillfully disassemble different parts of the refrigerator; and while doing so, he patiently answered all of my questions. We now have ice again! I like the ABV team's professionalism and skill sets to such a degree that I recommended them to my neighbors and my daughter (who recently had an issue with her washing machine -- and of course, they fixed the problem). Daniel Zamudio: I highly recommended this company for your appliance repairs.They are extremely honest and affordable. Alex the technician is amazing and really knows his stuff. Geoffrey Aronow: I called, told them the problem, which involved repairing the upper rack. Within two hours, they called back, said they could get the parts, told me the cost of the repair and scheduled an appointment in a few days. The repair person called when they were on the way, arrived during the scheduled time frame, did the repair quickly, was very nice, gave me a good lead on getting another missing part, and charged me exactly what they had quoted. Troy Barnes: The original problem was my freezer was not cooling and it needed a new motor. The person replaced the motor and the freezer started working again. However, shortly after fixing the motor, less than 30 days, the refrigerator starting leaking from the freezer. The leaking was coming from the same area that the technician replaced the motor. He said that we may have dropped something down the drain hole causing the water to freeze and causing the leak. I asked is it possible that he could have dropped something in the hole causing it to freeze and the answer was quickly no. I explained that the refrigerator is only seven years old and we have never had an issue prior to him fixing it, he then said he would fix it for 225.00 which was almost the cost of replacing the motor. I told him we would need to think about it and we would like to call the office to expression our concern. The person answered the phone, listened to what happend, and said they would call me back. They never called me back. I was surprised since they have a good rating and they have a 100% satisfaction guarantee. I can guarantee that I am 100% not satisfied and I would not recommend them because of their customer service. They will definitely fix any issue you have with your appliances, but if they cause an issue they will definitely charge you to fix that problem as well. Service: Refrigerator/freezer repair

Dan Friedman: Technician came to repair refrigerator ice maker/water valve. Water no longer leaked but ice maker didn't make ice. Technician came back 2 days later for another couple of hours, we got ice. Fridge started making a rattling sound after dispensing water a day later. I left 2 messages with no call back, finally had the phone answered on the 3rd try (from a different number, don't know if that's a coincidence). Guy who answered told me he'd check on technician availability and call me back. After a week I sent an email requesting a partial refund as I wanted to use another service and I got a nearly immediate reply that the technician was out of town and they would send someone else. No thank you, as that should have been offered a week ago. I reiterated my request for a partial refund and received no response. Would not use again or recommend. Service: Refrigerator repair

Pamela Atkinson: The services provided by Jawed was absolutely exceptional! I contacted this company Thursday night 11/10/2021 expecting to leave a message but Jawed answered the call. He was very polite and professional. He booked my apt for the next day at 5:15pm. He contacted me 30 minutes before his arrival and stated that due to traffic he’d be 10 minutes behind schedule and wanted to know if it would be ok. He pleasantly entered my home at the estimated new time and after assessing my fireplace, he assured me that it could be repaired; however, it would take 40 minutes to fix and if that would be too late, he could come back to do this work. Needless to say, I was ecstatic because my fireplace is pretty old and I feared that I would need a new unit. Within 40 minutes my fireplace was repaired and my basement is cozy and warm again. Thanks Jawed for providing professional service with a SMILE!

Mary O'Donnell: We are so grateful for Jawed who traveled a long way to our shop to look at our commercial freezer when not one but TWO were not functioning properly. After a great deal of investigation, it was determined that the unit was under warranty so we did not need his services. Jorge Padro: Fast, responsive and stands by their work. My refrigerator started making noise again after they replaced my evaporator fan a couple of months prior. They came out and honored the warranty on their work. Luckily, the fan wasn't going bad after all; they just adjusted the plastic panels in the back of the freezer that were a little loose and the noise went away... no charge! Give this business a chance.

I came very close to throwing the oven out because it's at least 20 years old but the Rep from Expert Appliance said it was an easy fix and I would probably have the oven now for another 7 to 10 years!! Khlil Mejdoub: I have an Edgestar washer dryer combo and I called every appliance repair company in the area but no luck finding a local company that works on this brand , I felt helpless until I called this company whom I was referred to by my colleague . I spoke to Franco and told me that they don't work on this brand but he will have Sam call me in few minutes . 10 minutes later I got a call from Sam, he said that they don't on the brand but he will be happy to take a look at it with no charge , we set up an appointment for the next day . He came out the next morning and looked at it , it turned out to be a failed drain pump , he ordered and few days later came out and fixed it . I'm very pleased with the experience from the minute they answered the phone until the repair was done .

Alex Payne: Called outside of operating hours and they were quick to respond. Needed immediate (within 24 hours) servicing of my dishwasher. They came, assessed the issue, ordered the part, and fixed it the following day. They told me what I could and couldn't do while waiting and answered all my questions. The service person took off their shoes when coming into my place, which was much appreciated and offered to clean up the dust/wood shavings that were the result of the repair. Cost seemed reasonable though don't have anything to compare it against.

Wade Sisler: We had a good experience yesterday repairing an 8 year old dishwasher that seemed on the bubble - a little too young to replace, but a little too old to sink much money into. DAR arrived on time, and took it apart, cleaned out the stuff I have no idea got there including tons of old soap and for less than 200 buck made it seem like new. They also looked at a freezer problem while they were here that requires some additional parts. Might bump this to five starts if they fix that too.

chris jones: Completely disappointed. I do not recommend this company for washing machine repair. I called with my problem and the code shown on the washer. Technician came the next day and suggested the same things I had already done. Did not run the washer to evaluate or even turn it on. Charged $69.95 for the visit and told me to call the manufacturer (all in about 15 minutes). We have used this company for fixing oven ignition and to repair refrigerator. It seems that washing machines are out of their expertise.

Sean Griffin: The guy showed up at my house, looked at the washing machine, and told us that he couldn't fix it because it was broken. We explained that we knew it was broken, which is why we called a washing machine repair service. He told us he couldn't fix it then left. When I called the company to complain, they told me that they can't fix washing machines that are "messed up." I wish Google let me give this place zero stars.

Positive notes: I was able to schedule online with no difficulty; an email was sent to me on an update on a more narrow time when the technician would arrive; a link sent to track the technician; the office called to tell me the technician was finished early with the previous job and asked if he could come earlier (@12:30) than the estimated time (1:00-4:00); technician was extremely polite, knowledgeable, considerate, organized, cleaned up the mess, explained things to me, and answered all my questions; and there is no doubt that I will use this company on future needs. Matt Johnson: EDIT 2: Called this morning after weather cancelled yesterdays appointment. Note, I had to reach out to reschedule, nobody called me. Rep told me someone would call w/in 15-20minutes to schedule a follow-up. 4hours later, no call. I called again. Dissatisfied with the answers I was given, I asked to speak to a supervisor. Was told there was none I could talk to, an email would be sent on my behalf. Asked for an email address I could write, was not given one. EDIT: First visit was over a month ago (see below). Repair did not last and 5 visits later, unit is still not working. Parts availability has not been a factor, they're simply not getting it resolved. To VIA's credit, they have not charged me anything additional. Have an 18m.o. KitchenAid refrigerator that stopped cooling at all. I was unable to fix the unit myself and other local service companies were not taking appointments or (unbelievably) would not service modern appliances. VIA set an appointment, communicated clearly what to expect and when to expect it. After having been told by KitchenAid that the warranty had expired, the service tech was able to get the repair covered after all. Took a couple days to get the compressor in stock, but the tech was back out ASAP to finish the install. Super professional, clean and neat with his work. George Grabow: Contacted Michael and Son for general plumbing and pipe repair in a location that had very difficult access. One of their highly experienced plumbers, Eric Blackmon, called and asked to see if he could come early. I was overjoyed as our water supply had to be turned off. Erick immediately assessed the situation and briefed me on some of the complexities and how he planned to proceed with the repairs. He kept me completely informed of his progress and asked me to inspect the project when completed. He was very knowledgeable and shared some of that with me. He then asked if I needed any other repairs work and then made some expert suggestions of other potential problems that I should keep my eye on. This was a very friendly approach with no pressure applied - information only, and I appreciate that. I will certainly ask for him for any future plumbing needs. Brittany Booker: Our service person was very nice and knowledgeable and completed the work in a timely manner. However, the work (electrical panel replaced) that was done to me is "incomplete" but according to M&S it is complete and we would have to get a "handyman crew" to fix the dry wall that the Michael & Son employee cut out and drilled back in a sloppy manner. I emailed Michael and Son's customer service and was told it's an additional cost for the dry wall to be fixed..usually costing $350 extra. Also, originally we were going to use their "leasing program" in order for this unexpected job to be completed. We asked every question we could think of to our service person and the bank they use for this program. It was not explained that if we paid it off early that there would be a "buyout" to complete the 120 month contract they wanted us to sign. ($10k total) This whole process to me was not very smooth and to honest "incomplete" due to the extra dry wall that had to be cut below the paneling. UPDATE 4/7/22 We were told the job was "complete" about a month ago, however when the Dominion person came out today to inspect the final project, there was a copper wire that wasn't grounded. M&S had to come back out and complete the job a 2nd time. Service: Electrical panel replacement or upgrading

Carol Willis: It is unfortunate that this company sends standard responses to complaints and does not reach out directly to the customer. If the person responding to my posting had taken the time to review my account they would see that I called and asked to be contacted by customer relations several times. I am stuck with this heating/hot water heating system that I paid $15,000 for and only worked for 3 months. I am very disappointed. This company installed a furnace and hot water heater system in November. Three months later I discovered water leaking from the system, there was water all over the floor. A tech came out on a Wednesday but was able to make the repair. The tech shut off the valve and had me turn off the system. He returned the next day and stopped the leak. Due to warmer than normal temps I didn’t realize the heat was not working and on Saturday morning the temperature in my house was in the 40s. A tech came out for the third time on Saturday but wasn’t able to fix it. I would have to wait until Monday. The tech returned for the forth time, was here for about an hour. He left saying that he thinks he knows what the issue is but it is 1100 on Monday and I am still without heat and hot water and waiting for the tech to return. I don’t have any confidence that even if this system is fixed that it won’t break down again. I began calling customer service on Saturday when it was clear that the system couldn’t be fixed. I asked for a replacement of my system. Unfortunately the people who could help were not available on the weekend. I waited until 8 on Monday and still had not received a called. At this point I was quite angry. I finally received a call back and I vehemently expressed that I wanted a replacement system. I was told it didn’t work that way and he wasn’t in the mood to be yelled at and hung up. I have been without heat and hot water since Friday and I am unsure when my system will be repaired.

Christine: Michael & Sons has done my furnace installation and electrical panel upgrade as well as regular maintenance on my A/C and heating. They are always professional and are mostly on time. They could be a little better about cleaning up after themselves but it’s not a huge complaint since they do a good job on the actual project at hand. There are small things I wish they would be more clear about such as they won’t be patching the square they cut out of my wall to work on the electrical panel so I have to find someone to do that as I’m not handy myself. They’re not the cheapest service but they’re not the most expensive and most of their services have a pretty good warranty that’s included. R and D: Michael & Son - Plumbing – Shower Repair - 2/23/2022 The technician respected my property by putting on foot covers at the door (each time) and not parking in my driveway without asking. I appreciated that the technician followed health protocols for wearing a face mask. The technician asked about the problem and listened to my concern (“The shower will not stop dripping”). The technician explained his assessment of the problem based on his inspection and he offered a solution. He offered assurance that Michael and Son could fix the problem and the price (up scale) for the service. The technician completed the repairs promptly and professionally. After he completed the repair he showed and explained what he had done. While I am very satisfied with the completed repair, my confidence in Michael & Son could have been boosted higher if the specifics of the written warranty for the services and parts I received today was highlighted on the invoice. Tiffany Gilbert: My experience with this company was absolutely amazing. GP's customer service was second to none. My husband and I were having a difficult time finding the appliances we needed for our home. Even though Allstate didn't have the appliances we needed either, GP not only explained what we needed, he sent pictures, measurements, and a list of stores that would have the appliances for the best prices we were looking to purchase. I would highly recommend.

Lauren Kardos: GP and the team were THE BEST to work with. From exploring options to replace our broken oven to all the communication and scheduling delivery, to the delivery itself, everything was so seamless and personable. Our kitchen is an awkwardly shaped galley, and All-State took the time to explore all installation options for minimal invasiveness (i.e. not having to move our refrigerator). We will definitely be back when we’re in the market for new appliances.

They had everything I needed in stock and for a very fair price. They were extremely helpful and efficient and I was able to order and pay for everything within a few minutes. Bronwyn B: I was charged over $300 for a dishwasher "repair" that was totally ineffective. When I called to complain, was told that I would be charged $150 for a return visit. It took six phone calls to even get a call back from the tech. And my attempts to contact an owner/manager have been totally fruitless. This firm is incompetent and has no customer service ethic whatsoever. I would never use them again.

Rashad Rivera: Where do I begging? First, this contractor missed an appointment in where they asked for a 5 hour window on a Saturday, but did not have the certify to call and cancel or explain why they did not show. Then after confronting them about it, they said they are sorry, then called back and said the repair-man will be there in 30 minutes; 30 minutes after the initial 5 hour window. Contractor shows up reeking of armpits and says "Oh, so sorry. The part the manufacturer sent was a 3 valve in stead of the 4 valve you need..." So after he left I decided I was not interested in his services anymore and cancels the follow up appointment. Needless to say, I'm still waiting for my $150 down payment for the part. My 2 cents: Don't pay in advance. And don't expect your money back if you do.

Tanya Ant: My subzero refrigerator stopped cooling. I contacted smart step and got a quick response. After a brief talk I made an appointment. Technician Alex arrived exactly on time. He was in mask, gloves and shoe covers. In about 20 minutes found problem. He said something about starter relay for compressor. And he had it in stock! M. Nuñez: I contacted Smart Repairs after my refrigerator was having issues with the freezer forming ice, the freezer door gasket leaking, and thus the temperature of the refrigerator was above 40 F. They responded very quickly through the Yelp texting feature, and informed me of their pricing structure. We set up an appointment for Tuesday from 9am-5pm. The young repair person was in my apt around 9:20am (he called me to let me know he was on his way, which was a really nice detail). After adjusting the freezer door gasket and cleaning the freezer fan of accumulated ice, he told me that there, was no need for further repairs, and that I only owed their visit fee ($85.00) which was amazing! Loved the punctuality, speed of repair (he was out by 10:00am), transparency (he explained everything to me) and honesty (only the basic visit fee, which they had shared before I agreed to the visit)? I would use them again!

Walter Gulino: Over the years, i've had many many appliances repaired.This was by far the best experience I've had. Alex (the owner) and his crew were prompt and honest. My Samsung oven (which I would never buy again) kind of had an internal explosion and they were very patient with diagnosing the problem and quickly ordering the parts needed and coming back to install them. They were reasonable with costs. Alex came out again to test the oven and make sure everything was working well, and took the time to answer my questions on appliances he would recommend for future purchases. Then, on the way out he even gave me tips on how to maintain my specific models of washer and dryer. I will always call Smart Step in the future!

WittBox: Alex fixed my samsung dryer today. I was impressed with his knowledge of dryers. Alex came out 2 days ago to diagnose the problem, he ordered the part, and when the part came in he was back out to fix my dryer. I appreciate the honest communication and fair price. I think Smart Step is a great locally owned business, and I would definitely recommend them. Thank you.

César Alexis Figueroa: I've been dealing with issues with my Sub Zero freezer since we moved to our house 4 years ago. I've tried several other repairs and all of them provided a temporary fix that never really lasted more than a year. Alex came out and diagnosed the issue the same day, replaced the drain heater, and the problem seemed solved... until 24 hours later when circuit breaker kept tripping. Alex came out 2 more times on short notice, diagnosed an issue with the control board and replaced it quickly. He stopped by again to make sure it was working, checked in by phone, offered to come back by to help me move the freezer back in place, and wouldn't accept payment until he was sure the issue was solved several days later. Outstanding customer service and follow through. Happy I've finally got a go-to Sub Zero repair guy.
