The ONE Street Company: what do users think?

Asny Bezu: We had a very smooth buying of our dream home and selling of our old house! Thanks to the wonderful agents of One Street Company. Jessica was a big part of our decision making process. Her inputs have prepared us much better to anticipate issues with closing and her flexibility and understanding made it very easy to find the house we loved. She is very well connected with all the key personals to make our buying and selling experience.

Thor Cheston: We had a wonderful experience working with The ONE Street Company. Our realtor Max Grangien was smart, knowledgeable, patient and incredibly kind. He was and excellent guide and advocate for us. We would have been lost in the process of buying a home if it were not for his expert guidance. We hope we can work with Max again.

Pamela Kavanaugh: Ben was great to work with as we looked for a home moving from Texas to Maryland. He was very patient as I was a bit ambivalent about what I wanted. He spent time taking me around Prince George’s County to look at different types of homes and trying to elicit what criteria we wanted in a home. Ben is experienced and knowledgeable about the real estate market and has a professional manner, yet personable in a genuine way. He always responded quickly either by email, text or phone call. His expertise was evident in the way he answered our questions. I really enjoyed working with him and we found the best home for my family’s needs.

marcus6lj: Positive: ProfessionalismBen Nash is absolutely amazing! Ben is by far the best Realator we have ever had. Ben is a rare gem in the industry truly professional, courteous and genuinely a great person. Ben was flexible in his schedule not once told us he didn't have time for us. A great representative for The One Street Company.

Andres Matheu: We had an amazing experience on the purchase of our new home. Eddie Vasquez, our realtor guided us on every step of the process. He presented several solutions and advice when it came down to key questions and things we didn't even think of. His experience and professionalism delivered what we were looking for. A huge Thank You to Eddie and his colleagues - you guys are the best!

Ming A: My Agent with One Street Was Chris Chambers.. He worked really hard and got us into a new home and also listed our Townhouse. Our townhouse I know was a headache to deal with but he went all the way updating us to any progress we did have smooth closings on each end. I would recommend Chris he's a hard worker and get things done.. GREAT JOB!!!!

Margó Hufstetler Banse: I am so glad we connected with Nazereth from ONE Street! Buying our first home in this crazy market was stressful to say the least, but with her knowledge, resourcefulness, and good humor she kept us sane through the many curveballs that came our way. From the very beginning she took the time to get to know us both and worked tirelessly to not only help us find our dream home but to make sure we were well informed and comfortable throughout the process. Could not have had a better person on our side!

Lindsey Wahowiak: Working with Saurabh was incredibly easy. He made each step of the homebuying process easy to understand. He was well-connected (to inspectors, contractors, etc.) and when he didn’t have an answer, he knew the right person to get it from. He was super responsive and friendly throughout. I have recommended worki by with him and the One Street company to all my friends!

D. Wilkins: It was a pleasure working with ONE Street; more specifically Anabel. She was on point with everything and very professional. I couldn't have asked for a better realtor to work with on my house search in the District of Columbia. I highly recommend Anabel for anyone looking for a home in the DMV area.

Cody Carroll: I can't say enough about Charlie Latimer and the one street team. I never leave reviews. But felt its necessary. This team made a dream come true for my family and until i met the one street team, that is all it seemed to be only a dream. Needless to say, im a proud homeowner. A review truly cant express my thanks enough.

City Chic Real Estate: what do users think?

Jenna P Bluestein: So glad I went with City Chic for my first home buying experience!! I went to one of their info happy hours, and ended up reaching out years later to buy! Alexandra Peterson was immediately responsive to my inquiries, and understanding of what I was looking for. Most importantly, she guided me through the whole process and introduced me to a great lender. I barely knew how to even begin this process and now I’m a confident condo owner! Definitely recommend!

Ann Ramirez: My boyfriend and I were looking to buy our first home in the PG/Montgomery county area and we are so happy that we got to work with Lakeisha. We knew so little about the home buying process and she helped us through every step of the way. She is so knowledgeable about her job and so passionate about finding you the right home. Our favorite thing about her was how honest she was about little details about the house she noticed. She was definitely not just looking to make a sale, but actually finding a home you will love. She also knows the area extremely well so she knows the best spots to be to be near stores, highways, etc. She is also extremely responsive and respectful of your time - two qualities that I think are vital to the home buying process. I will definitely recommend her to anyone looking to buy in the area and if the time comes I want to buy another property here, she is the first person I will call.

Nicholas Mott: Sarah at City Chic is the absolute best agent ever. She helped us find and buy our first house and we not only love the house itself, we actually enjoyed the process! Sarah made what can be a difficult, complicated, and trying thing to do into a real treat - she explained everything we needed to know and held our hands through the entire process. Her sunny disposition and unquestionable knowledge of the housing market made the process a breeze. We could not be happier with Sarah (and our new home).

Joseph Goodman: If you are looking to buy or sell your home in the DC Metro area, Sarah Brazell is your person! Sarah helped us with the purchase of our second home and sale of our first. Having done this once before with another real estate company, we thought we knew what to expect in regards to attention and service. Woof were we wrong! City Chic, and especially Sarah, went above and beyond in helping us find our dream home. This is not an easy market and we had to see a TON of homes before we found the right one. It was such a great experience having Sarah in our corner. Her vast knowledge of the DC Metro market, extensive network of industry connections, and relentless desire to do the best by her clients made for a seamless search for our new home. But the extraordinary service did not end there. When it came time to sell our first home, Sarah knocked it out of the park! She guided us every step of the way, leaving no question unanswered and supporting us in every way possible. I just cant say enough how happy we are with our experience with City Chic! Can't wait to recommend Sarah Brazell and City Chic to all my friends and family!

India Garnett: This is one of the best experience’s I’ve had with a realtor agency. Everything is done in a efficient and professional manner but the best part of all was my realtor Chelsea Liverpool, she pays close attention to detail and goes above and beyond to the point that every house she shows you will make you want to put an offer on it! It was a joy to work with her and any future clients will not be disappointed.

Grace Newton: My roommates and I were having the hardest time finding affordable housing in a good location post-undergrad and Brittnee Sellers really saved us. Her communication and connections are top-notch and thanks to her were now living in a wonderful apartment that meets all of our needs! Brittnee should be your go to agent if you're looking for someone friendly, a quick communicator, or just great at their job overall!!

David K: Finding a home with Stefanie at City Chic was a truly wonderful experience. She was communicative, professional, patient, and really went the extra mile to make sure that everything worked out. Best agent I've ever worked with!

Calvin Liu: Bought and sold with Brittnee Sellers in 2020 and 2021 - can't say enough about how good of an experience it was. While we were searching for our new place she was always on top of new listing and opportunities (so important in this market!!) and her work on pricing, staging, and marketing our old condo was top notch. As new homeowners we still have tons of questions and Brittnee is always there for us with an answer or a referral!

Magda Gomez: I feel very grateful to have worked with Lindsay Dreyer and Stefanie Venancio from City Chic Real Estate team. I received excellent customer service, they helped me sell and buy a new home in a professional and timely manner. I could not have done this without them! I am endlessly grateful for their hard work, flexibility, and expertise. They took the time to listen to my concerns and what I was looking for, to answer questions, and showed me on point properties that matched my wants and needs. I would recommend them to friends and family members and look forward to working with them again in the future! Keep up the great work!

Amanda Lawrence: Positive: Professionalism, Quality, ResponsivenessSarah was a joy to work with. She made our first home buying experience less daunting and even enjoyable. She made us instantly feel comfortable to ask questions and she went above and beyond to answer everything. Cannot recommend Sarah highly enough!

Rutstein Group of Compass - Mark Rutstein - Realtor: what do users think?

Carl-Gustav Anderson: Joe Hudson was amazing. He walked us through the entire home buying process, connected us to resources, and was a fantastic sounding board for all our questions. He made the process understandable and less intimidating, while letting us feel in control. He knows the DC market and had lots of valuable advice for us. 100% would recommend him to anyone!
Response: Thank you Carl!

Mike Bradow: We worked with Scott through the process of selling our old home and buying our new one, and in both cases he made the experiences exceptional! In representing us as sellers, his incredible attention to detail, expansive knowledge of the area, and strategic approach to the market enabled us to not only prepare our former home for listing, but also to get it listed quickly and at just the right moment. Thanks to Scott, we received multiple offers including one that was well above what we had initially anticipated. Once we were ready to begin the house hunt as buyers, Scott made the process so much fun with his great sense of humor and amazing aesthetic eye. We never felt rushed and were wowed by his memory and intuitiveness – he read our responses to properties and masterfully tailored his approach. When we did land on a house that we loved, he made the negotiation and closing processes incredibly seamless and easy. He has a clear grasp on the competitiveness of the market and what it ultimately takes to put together a winning offer, while still protecting the interests of the buyer. In general, we were so impressed by his responsiveness, and willingness to go above and beyond. He scouted areas independently for us, looked into the new-build process before we found our home, resolved issues with utility account transfers, did research on contractors for our post-closing renovations, and even brought us packages accidentally delivered to our former address! Bottom line – Scott is amazing at his job, an absolute joy to work with, and an all-around awesome human being. We always felt very secure that he had our best interests at heart, and we would enthusiastically recommend him to any and everyone! Having worked with other relators in the past, Scott clearly stands out.

Tommy Pugliese: Mark and Stephen worked with me endlessly in order to find the perfect home that fits my needs. Even during this competitive times and being in a "sellers market", Mark and Stephen got me a great deal that included closing help from the seller. As a veteran, I used my VA loan. Their knowledge of navigating through the VA process was invaluable to my home search as a first time homebuyer. I would recommend Mark and Stephen to my family and friends for all loan types. Thank you both for making 2021 my year!
Response: Thank you Tommy!

Evan Cosgrove: Stephen was a huge help in getting us into our lovely home. He was extremely proactive, always in constant communication, and went above and beyond to help up. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
Response: Thank you Evan!

N M: Mark and Tom were fantastic every step of the way. As a first time home buyer I was nervous about the process and they made everything so easy for me. They took care of so many details which I sincerely appreciated (setting up appointments, putting me in contact with a great lender, arranging for a home inspection, etc.) I can't say enough positive things about Mark and Tom. They were amazing - patient and knowledgeable, friendly and fun, respectful and warm. I really enjoyed the whole process and wouldn't consider doing it again without them. They were always responsive and super helpful- even late the night I took possession when my keys didn't work. They were always calm and confident about the steps and decisions to be made and that in turn made me feel calm and confident. They truly were perfect.

Anushree Banerjee: Mark and Stephen were wonderful to work for as we sold our place and purchased a new one. On both transactions, they were knowledgeable, responsive, and excellent advocates. Thanks to them, our first offer was accepted in this competitive market, and we also sold our own place within days of listing. They know the DC market very well, and they also have an excellent circle of vendors. Everyone from the title company to the inspectors, to the lenders they recommended were all excellent. They made this stressful process fun and manageable!

Alina Tourkova: We really loved working with Mark Rutstein and his team (Stephen and Brittany)! We were working with them during a pandemic and crazy DC market-times, and loved their positivity, their professionalism and their honesty! Mark helped us sell our condo quickly and for a great price, while also working to find us a new home that was to our liking/neighborhood. He guided us through several competitive offers and was there for us no matter what decision we needed tp make. Very thankful for Mark's team and all of them going above and beyond for their clients!!
Response: Alina, we are so fortunate to have met your fun family. Your continued referrals are so appreciated. Until we meet again friend, enjoy Utah ❤️

Jamie Mera: As first-time home buyers, my husband I and are so grateful that we found Scott from the Rutstein Group! He was there for us every step of the way and was extremely responsive and knowledgeable about the home buying process. It made us feel at ease to know we had someone in our corner to help us with all the details. Most importantly, Scott was a huge part of helping us find a home we absolutely love! We really appreciated his patience through the search process until the right house came along - we never felt rushed and Scott made our priorities his own. We highly recommend working with Scott.
Response: Jamie, thanks for trusting Scott with such a big purchase. He’s quite the funny character, but navigates through real estate like the pro he is. Thanks a ton for your review!

Isaac Johnson: Mark helped my husband and I with both the sale of our DC condo (purchased with Mark’s help several years ago) and the purchase of our new home in VA. Both transactions were highly complex - made even more so by the ongoing pandemic and resulting economic disruption. Throughout the process Mark remained a source of calm and provided us with candid input and expertise in a way that built trust and confidence when making such big decisions. He was incredibly responsive, patient, and knew when to throw in some humor to lighten the mood over what became a 7 month process! We would highly recommend Mark and his team and would work with them again should the need arise.
Response: Thanks for your trust, Isaac. Boy did we overcome some hurdles in the buy/sell timelines, but in the end we did it!!! We can’t wait to see what you two do to the new estate!

Kamilah O. Martin-Proctor: Brittany Ryan, really helped find our forever home. She was thorough, professional and great to work with, She kept us apprised about available options and always let us know as soon as a new one came on the market. She always gave an honest opinion and helped us find a middle ground to find a home with the right space and location for our family. Oh, also within budget, we felt lucky to find her, she also has great contacts to make sure the home had a through inspection.

GreenLine Real Estate: what do users think?

Trésa: Jonathan Bartlett is an extraordinary agent. Jonathan was kind, generous, and knowledgeable. He went out of his way to get me the best house and negotiated a financial deal that got me a bit of money back at closing. Incredible. Most importantly, inventory was low but Jonathan didn’t let me give up on my dream house specs and in the end, I got what I wanted. In fact, I wasn’t even going to look at this home until Jonathan headed to it on my behalf. He listened to me and found my dream home. He went the extra mile in every way and I could not be happier with my home or with the experience.

Amy Walker: As a first time homebuyer, Jonathan Bartlett was great to work with. Jonathan's knowledge of the Washington, DC area and DC real estate market is deep, which made him an extremely helpful guide throughout the process. Jonathan was always quick to respond to my many questions about various properties and the buying process, and was able to set up viewings quickly. Jonathan also used viewings to convey helpful information about what sorts of maintenance best practices to look for while viewing a property. Once I landed on a property, the transaction was seamless due to Jonathan's fast work in pulling together an offer that beat out a number of other offers and his guidance in negotiating price and repairs by the seller. Jonathan made the stressful process of buying a home fun and informative!

Bruce Walter: Tom Spier is an exceptional realtor. He got my wife and I top $$ for our Columbia Height condo in a low traffic, soft market. He is extremely intelligent, knowledgeable and great at providing objective guidance, not just what you want to hear. We moved from DC to NOVA and he knows the entire area. Whereas a lot of agents are licensed in both but don't really know NOVA that well. Tom goes the extra mile to offer his own very specific local analysis vs just on line tools. We will use him again and have already recommended him.

Kate Brogan: Jonathan Barlett's experience, professionalism, and practical advice made buying our first home as stress free as possible. He is great to work with, and I with recommended to anyone looking for a home in the DC area.

David Ramsey: I used Tom Spier to both buy, and then 9 years later, sell my condo in DC and I cannot recommend an agent with more enthusiasm. During the buying process, Tom probably took me to see more than 100 properties and never once did I get a sense that he was fed up with me nor did he pressure me to settle for a place that wasn't what I wanted. He is very knowledgeable on all things DC. He provided valuable insight into concerns with structural/mechanical considerations when looking at properties and always had a contractor to call to ask questions if he didn't know the answer. Tom and his resources were also invaluable as I needed to prepare my condo as an out of state seller. He was able to locate, schedule, and manage all the prep work required to get the condo into shape. His services saved me SO much time and money and made the selling process super easy and convenient. I cannot say enough about how helpful Tom was in the process and what a good guy he is to work with from start to finish. Look no further for your next agent!

Michelle Friedman: Phil Di Ruggiero of GreenLine Real Estate is an exceptional real estate professional. He very quickly sold my Park View DC rowhome in August of 2020 for $100,000 over list price. Before sale, he advised on repairs to make (and, helpfully, those not necessary to make) to best position our home for sale and even tradesmen to do the work. He helped us prepare our house for marketing photos and the open house by recommending different furniture configuration and layout approaches. He is a whiz with marketing, both formally and informally through his strong network in the DC real estate community. My husband and I knew we wanted to find our new house before we listed our old one. Through a slow search and a pandemic, Phil remained patient and upbeat. When we were ready to jump, he provided strategic direction on how to successfully buy in a (very) competitive market. And then he quickly sold our house for $100,000 over list price with 9 offers in just one weekend once we had lined up our new home. A win/win all around. Phil said at the beginning he hoped we would be clients and friends and by the end of the process, our mutual respect and collegiality grew to meet that. While we had a specific situation with specific needs, I have no doubt that Phil and his colleagues at GreenLine Real Estate could handle any situation. I would recommend them to anyone looking to buy or sell real estate in the DC area.

James A-G: We often say that we would trust our lives with Tom, and that's 100% true. He knows the DC-MD-VA area front to back and always puts his clients' interests first; he is extremely dedicated, hard-working, and responsive. His years of experience and deep knowledge of the area were shown off so many times during our real estate search, when he steered us away from trouble or towards good options; he also patiently explained nuances of the process which we didn't know before and turned out to be life-savers. This is the 3rd consecutive real estate transaction that we have done with Tom - we have complete confidence in everything he does and wouldn't have looked anywhere else. Seriously, just get Tom, you will not regret it. He's the best!

Natalie Kone: Phil Di Ruggiero and GreenLine Real Estate were terrific. My partner and I met Phil at an open house when we we were still in the browsing stage and were impressed with his knowledge and with GreenLine’s commitment to diversity and the local community. We ended up taking the first time home buyers class, which was a great crash course on all the essentials of home buying. Phil walked us through every step of the process and had great insight on neighborhoods and value and helpful ideas about each home’s potential, from interior design to future renovations. When it was time to put in offers, he was thoughtful, strategic and incredibly quick to put together the documentation. To top it off, he’s a nice, genuine guy who is fun to spend time with (and also has excellent taste in classic sports cars!). We couldn’t be happier with our new home and look forward to using GreenLine again for our next move!

Phil Martin: All the stars. I worked with Phil Di Ruggiero at GreenLine Real Estate to sell my Petworth row house in summer 2020. I was a first-time seller and Phil was incredibly helpful from beginning to end. At every step he presented options and tradeoffs and offered a recommendation when I asked for one. He took time to explain things I didn't understand. I never felt like he was too busy for me. Before we listed the house, Phil connected me with a contractor who did an awesome job getting it photo-ready at a reasonable price. Phil was on site managing things and went WAY above and beyond, from trimming an overgrown tree, to picking out new house numbers, to pulling things out of the house that I'd missed the day before listing. After we reviewed multiple offers and accepted the one that seemed best, the buyer ran into a hiccup with their lender, but Phil worked expertly and transparently with the other agent to keep things moving and ensure the buyer got the house and I didn't have to cover the cost of the delay. Win-win. Strongly recommend GreenLine Real Estate.

Jared Lipman: Jonathan Bartlett was extremely great at his job, and was an absolute pleasure to work with. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone (and already have recommended him to others). I originally was referred to Jonathan by a friend who had worked with him in his search process, and Jonathan did an outstanding job of making sure all issues were solidified ahead of closing. As a first time home buyer, he helped me feel extremely comfortable throughout the entire process from start to finish. Jonathan was very communicative and responsive in a very timely manner any time I had a question for him. Any time I needed a referral or recommendation he would provide me with multiple options and helpful hints to look out for on anything relating to the home. From a negotiation and buying strategy standpoint, Jonathan has great knowledge of the market, trends, and neighborhoods. Because of his recommendations I was able to tailor my offer to out compete others for the home I loved the most throughout my search process. Overall I found Jonathan to be extremely professional, hard working, and someone who is genuinely easy to get along and communicate with.

Bediz Group, LLC: what do users think?

Kristel Mucino: The Bediz Group has helped me buy and sell my apartment. They are amazing. As a first time home-buyer I didn't understand the process of buying a home very well. David and his team did a great job at explaining everything to me and helping me through the process. Now that I'm selling my place, I've had a great experience as well. They staged it, took beautiful photographs, even took care of fixing a couple of things inside the place. I truly enjoyed working with them. Highly recommend!

Shannon Small: It was a pleasure to work with David and the entire Bediz Group. David was professional, communicative, and knowledgeable. He provided strategic analysis of the market and excellent advice on renovations and upgrades that would increase the sales price of my condo. He even went above and beyond to help with a renovation mishap. David has a keen eye for design and recommended a new bathroom vanity, lighting fixtures, and paint colors that made the condo shine. The staging was extremely well-done and contemporary. The combination of the renovations, staging, and open houses resulted in an offer over sales price and a three-week closing. I couldn't be happier with the process and will work with David again.

Steph Tatham: We had a fantastic experience with the Bediz Group! We picked David and his team to help sell our condo after seeing their amazing success on a property we loved in our neighborhood, which went way over the asking price. We were nervous about selling in a cooling market but wound up in a bidding war and sold for $36k over asking! David advised us on renovations and managed all of the contractors, which was a huge relief and time saver. Best of all, this concierge service came in well under a competitor’s price!

John Cummins: Following my experiences with Tyler Smith, I am pleased to offer the highest recommendation. Tyler represented me on the sale of my Capitol Hill townhome and the purchase of my new home in Shaw. Both transactions occurred in the height of the pandemic market frenzy. I decided to sell my home very unexpectedly and wanted the process to move quickly, Tyler offered insightful guidance that helped me quickly prepare my home for market at a top dollar price and also timed the launch of my home appropriately. From the time of our first discussion, Tyler had my home on the market just two weeks later. One week later, I was under contract, over asking price with multiple offers received. I appreciated Tyler's candor and deep-set knowledge of the DC market as well as his professional background in finance and commercial real estate which contributed to a highly successful pricing strategy. Tyler also was adept at negotiating the purchase of my new home as well, which included a home sale contingency in the contract, something unheard of at that time. Tyler is a fierce and knowledgeable advocate for his clients and I highly recommend him to anyone looking to buy or sell in DC!

Mary Ruhe: Natasha Dergham was great! She was always available, prompt and professional. We could text her at any time and always had our questions or concerns immediately addressed. She spent months working with us both before being in the area and once we were in a local rental (which she also found for us). Additionally, Natasha is a lovely person, kind, thoughtful and a nice sense of humor. We will always look forward to running into Natasha as we consider her a friend.

Allison Kensiski: Tahir was amazing throughout the whole process of buying my house. He was very knowledgeable and had a supportive team behind him. He knew exactly who to go to when he didn't have the answers himself. I highly recommend both the Bediz Group and Tahir himself for any of your real estate needs.

Amber Z: Jeff was patience and very helpful in getting this deal done for us. He’s always available, even after hours and weekends. It was pleasure working with him. And I am already looking forward to work with him for my future purchases.

M. Scott Walker: Tahir is amazing! Extremely organized, thoughtful, and super nice. Also very smart and attuned to the market. He does his homework and it shows. It can be hard to find a someone, in any profession, to trust completely. I trust Tahir and will recommend him to anyone in the market. Thanks so much!

Frederick Bluestone: I couldn't be happier with Jeff and the Bediz Group. Jeff knew the comdo market in DC, solved problems I didn't even know I would have before I had them, and was patient with me throughout the decision making process. He was there for me throughout the process, returning my calls and emails in a timely manner. He helped out when I couldn't because I was out of town. 10/10 would recommend to use him.

Shawn Fitch: He was very patient, helpful, and available at all hours. The house we now purchased we went to see on a Saturday and he worked with us until late in the night to submit the offer and worked for the next week, at times late at night to get an offer we finally accepted. The rest of his office was extremely polite and nice and always made us feel welcoming. Lindsay who also supports David was extremely polite and helpful also! More over purchasing a home is no easy process and we always felt David had our best interest in mind and was always looking out for us. David provided great insight into possible renovations and also had great experience with observing possible issues with houses we looked at. David was extremely forward and fought for us and in the end we got a great deal and a great house! We highly recommend David as your realtor, especially in a city where realtor's are abundant. Having a realtor with high recommendations is a must.

Lee Murphy, Washington Fine Properties, LLC: what do users think?

Chris DeHanas: Lee is the best! We worked with Lee on the purchase of our first home, and then some years later, the sale of that property and purchase of our current home. Lee has deep knowledge of every step of the process and the DC housing market. She has the experience and emotional intelligence to keep us grounded, follow a plan, and find the right place for us at the right price. We're very happy we had her in our corner! Lee's associate Jackelyn is highly organized and engaging and they make a great team.

Margaux MacDonald: We worked with Lee for the purchase of our first home. She is a fantastic agent and we would highly recommend. She was always frank with us about what houses she thought would be a good fit (or not) and had endless patience with the many open houses and offers we had to make in the current market. She knows the DMV area exceptionally well, and her advice on location, process, and negotiation was invaluable in eventually finding our home! Her colleague Jackelyn was equally helpful, particularly in helping us with the post-offer process.

N R: I used Lee as our agent to buy property this year during the crazy DMV market. We must have seen 30+ properties before finding the right one but despite this Lee remained patient, professional and always available to answer our questions. What impressed me the most about Lee was that she did not try and push us to buy a house just so she would earn a commission. She actually recommended we not offer on a few properties because of issues that might affect resale value. Lee was careful to make sure that we only offered on properties that were right for us and we eventually found one in a great area which we were able to buy thanks to Lee. I definitely recommend Lee and would use her again for our next real estate transaction.

Adrien Vogt-Schilb: I highly recommend Lee as an agent! I worked with her to buy 2 different condos, both time as my primary residence. Both condos, I loved, and i got so many compliments for. Lee is great at telling good quality versus not so good. She is great at learning what you like and what you dont. Lee is not afraid of speaking her mind, which is exactly what you want her to do as she has commanding knowledge of the market. Lee will negotiate for you, she and her team will make all the paperwork seamless. Go with Lee!

Alicia Murphy: We were referred to Lee by friends who had been happy with her services when they purchased their home. When we were still out of town, Lee took us on several video house walk-thrus. For in-person tours, Lee & Helen were always personable & professional, offering insight into neighborhoods, advising us on any updates that we would need to make, and steering us clear of potential pitfalls. Lee knows the market and works hard for her clients. She has a keen eye and a good sense of style. She won't steer you wrong. When it came time to negotiate for our house, she worked tirelessly for us and came through with a good deal. Lee & Helen worked seamlessly as a team and were always available with answers to my questions. Lee took me to the houses I wanted to see and the ones she knew I needed to see. She listened to what we wanted in a house and in a neighborhood and she found us a wonderful home!

Lee Beck: We met Lee through our bank's home buying program and after 2.5 years of searching for a home it took us only one day and three home visits with Lee to find our dream house - and bring down the price to the level we are comfortable with and we could actually afford! We couldn't even imagine anything like this after bidding unsuccessfully on properties in DC. As such, we could not be more grateful for having worked with Lee and would definitely recommend her to anyone. You will be in great hands! She and her colleague Helen are extremely efficient, knowledgeable, and well-connected. As first time home buyers, we were impressed with their network of helpful people including lawyers, home inspectors, and others. Thanks to their attention to detail, we also saved a lot of money, not only with the home purchase but also throughout the process. We have now moved in and are very happy with our house. Thanks again to Lee and Helen for everything!
Response: It was a pleasure working with clients that are on top of everything. We need more clients like you!

Kate Druschel Griffin: Lee worked with us to sell our first home. She provided us with actionable recommendations for what updates and changes we should make to the house to increase the value. We listened - and she delivered. She knows just the right touches to make sure your home sells at a great price in a timely manner. She understands what motivates buyers and how to get the market to respond. If you want to work with an expert and get the most out of your home - work with Lee!

Ian Crosby: We were expecting this to be a difficult time to sell given it being a year with a presidential election and everything that Covid had to offer. Nevertheless, having worked with Lee to buy the apartment we had no doubts around having her help us to sell. We got excellent pragmatic advice on the pricing as well as what we needed to do to the apartment to help it sell. Even given the crazy environment we were able to move from listing to an agreed offer in less than 7 days. Lee and her excellent support staff (Helen Do) then worked with their counterpart agent to smooth the process and get to an efficient closing.

Juan Gea-Banacloche: Lee replied to my email immediately after I reached out to her. She was extremely knowledgeable about the market and the different areas of the DC Metro area where I was considering buying. She was straightforward with her advice and extremely helpful at every step of the way. She and her Operations Manager, Helen Do, were always flexible with the appointments (by phone, FaceTime or in person) and always punctual to a fault. Thanks to her I found the property I ended up buying. The process was expeditious, but I never felt rushed. Her advice regarding price negotiation was spot-on. To top it off, she obtained an extra credit from the seller, and she made sure my interests were protected from the beginning. Working with her gave me great peace of mind-- I felt sure things would turn out right and, indeed, they did.

Gavin Payne: Lee & Helen are a fantastic team who will guide you every step of the way through the home buying/selling process. We were first-time buyers, and they were incredibly patient, thoughtful, and always seemed to have our best interests in mind. Lee is incredibly honest and will tell you her opinion of houses quickly (which we very much valued). She also helped us get a great deal. Additionally, they stuck with us through a tumultuous closing process where somehow arose with the seller agent, seller, and lender! Lee and Helen knocked down walls to ensure we closed on time, despite a ton of issues being thrown our way. All-in-all, we couldn't recommend them more to anyone in the DMV.

Rob Carter Group: what do users think?

Hannah Hickman: I worked with Rob and his team to buy a condo right outside of DC. It was an absolute dream to work with Rob and his team. The process was easy, I felt like they were looking out for me and had my best interests in mind. I was expecting a long and difficult home buying process (just based on anecdotes/news stories). It could not have been easier. From start to finish, it was less than two months from my first tours to closing and moving in. I would highly recommend reaching out to Rob if you are looking for a home. Thank you!

Jess Neiterman: We worked with Rob and his team, Andrea and Mary Lynn, to purchase our first home in Northern Virginia and we have nothing but positive things to say about them. As first-time homebuyers we had no idea what we were doing, and Rob, Andrea, and Mary Lynn were excellent resources when viewing homes and meeting with builders. When we ultimately decided to select a build in a new community, Rob helped us navigate the entire process with the builder - from selecting upgrades and finishes, regularly checking in with the builder for updates on the building schedule, and using his keen attention to detail during the various walkthroughs. Rob is also super organized, which helps decrease the stress of the entire home search process. We will definitely recommend Rob to friends and family.

Melissa McGrath: Positive: Professionalism, Quality, ResponsivenessWe have used Rob Carter Group twice now to buy and sell a home. We had very positive experiences both times. Rob and his team are experienced, straightforward and very responsive. They provide incredible guidance as you are working through difficult decisions, and ensure the entire process is as easy and smooth as possible.

Heather Kitay: Mar 2022 (Selling): Years ago, Rob helped me buy my house. Working with Rob then was amazing! So, when I decided to sell my house, I knew I was going with Rob again. Because of the recommendations Rob made throughout the process about the state of the market, what to do and what not to do, I was able to sell my house crazy fast for considerably over asking under a super clean (simple and easy) contract. Rob made what could have been a very stressful process an incredibly smooth, easy, no stress and financially beneficial one. Absolutely recommend him!!!! June 2017 (Buying): Rob was incredibly responsive, knowledgeable, patient and understanding! He expertly helped us research our options, navigate the market, and eventually purchase our first home together!! He was so awesome that we referred him to two other families, who also purchased their new homes from him. If we ever decide to move again, Rob will definitely be our go to realtor for selling our current place and buying our next one! He's AWESOME!!!!!!

Remington Barrett: Rob is extremely knowledgable, friendly, and responsive. He helped me through my first home purchase, and patiently explained key concepts in determining value, negotiating for a great price, and understanding the seller’s mindset. He spotted important issues in properties well before inspection, and was always quick to respond to my questions. I hope to work again with Rob when I purchase my next property.

Emily Florio: This is my second time using Rob to purchase a condo and my first time for selling a condo. The purchasing process was fairly straight forward, though Rob helped me work through a couple of important decisions and processes. He was always responsive and careful to describe what we were doing and why, which gave me comfort during a stressful process. Ultimately our approach was successful, and I have a wonderful new condo for a great price! Upon the purchase of my new condo, Rob assisted in selling my first condo, which had some major hiccups towards the end of the process. He helped the buyer find new financing when the original option fell through and ensured that the sale would proceed with little delay. His calm demeanor and approach always kept me on track and it all worked out in the end. Without a doubt, I would work with Rob again, and wholeheartedly recommend him as a realtor.

Erica Miles: Rob is very responsive and he assisted us with all aspects of getting our house ready for sale. The referrals he provided for moving, painting, and spruce up/repair work were prompt and professional. And Rob was spot on with marketing, pricing, and negotiating through to final sale. He made the process as easy as possible, and he's pleasure to chat with to boot!

Denise Heuchert: Worked with Rob Carter on a home purchase in the competitive DC market. PROS: Rob is professional, organized and detail oriented, always provided sound advice, put our best interest first, provided accurate data to answer market conditions and pricing, solid reputation and relationships with peers, access to comprehensive service providers needed for buy/sell real estate transactions, timely and accurate communication skills, including his team, and overall knowledge of real estate in the DC Metro market. Rob is one of the best and we are grateful to have worked with him. We will recommend Rob to family and friends! CONS: none

Jennifer Pappas: I was a first-time homebuyer and was so fortunate to have had Rob Carter as my realtor. Rob was amazing! He answered my endless questions, helped me critically evaluate different homes for sale, and was incredibly responsive to my "wish list" for a new home. In the end, when multiple offers were placed on the home I wanted, Rob negotiated with the seller's agent (until late at night, I will add) to help me get the house that was perfect for me. I cannot recommend Rob highly enough! If you want a true partner in the home-buying process - someone who is always on your side - please give Rob a call. He is not only great at what he does, he's also a genuinely wonderful person.

Joey Rafidi: It was an absolute pleasure to work with Rob in purchasing our first home in the DC area. From the beginning, he was professional, responsive, and knowledgeable. Due to COVID-19, there were fewer homes on the market than usual and no open houses, so he set us up with email alerts for homes that matched our criteria and arranged private showings of each one we wanted to see. When visiting each home, Rob always came with a mask and glove (following CDC guidelines) and it was clear he had years of experience in assessing the property. He walked us through each floor and made sure we knew how long the boilers, water heaters, and other home systems and appliances would last. Best of all, he never shied away from giving us the hard facts about the homes. Without his honesty, it would have been much harder to make a decision, and we really appreciated it. Once we were ready to offer, Rob deftly guided us through the process, making sure that we got the most we could out of the negotiations. For every question we had, he was easy to reach via email and phone. Thanks to Rob, at no point during our home buying process were we confused or concerned. We have only positive things to say regarding Rob and we will be referring him to anyone we know who’s entering the market.
Response: Thanks, Joey! It was a pleasure to help you and Kayo with your search during these trying times. I remember you saying "we may not actually see each others face during this entire process." Thank you for the trust you placed in me to guide you home!

Washington Fine Properties, LLC: what do users think?

Corbin Dallas: This place 1000% Discriminates on Applicants who aren’t white. Inquired on two separate occasions about a listing in which they refused to submit my application for one. Asked again a month later with constant emails and calls with no regard to even reply back with information. Friend emailed and reached out got through with no issue and of course she’s white. Despite having the credentials to apply for units, I was given the cold shoulder because of my name. If you’re of any color- please stray clear.

Sean Vann - Compass Real Estate: what do users think?

Ebonie: My husband and I were in search of our first home. Sean was recommended by a friend and he did not disappoint! My husband and I didn’t have a clue where to start, or even what part of NoVA we wanted to settle down into. Sean was patient with us and he took the time to learn about our goals and plans for the future. We viewed at least 15 properties, in various locations. Sean worked closely with our mortgage broker and helped us secure a lovely townhouse. He was an expert negotiator and we secured our home, even though our offer was below asking price! We have been in our townhouse for 3 months now and we are so happy with our purchase. I am so grateful for Sean’s professionalism, guidance and expertise. I would highly recommend that any buyer work with him, especially first time buyers.
Response: Thank you, Ebonie!

Joe Willis: We're so glad we chose Sean as our selling agent. He knew just the right upgrades / maintenance items we needed to do; he acted as a GC for us which was really helpful given how busy our family is. He also knew when to list the property and at what price; we had five offers two days after the listing went live and ended up selling for $10k over asking!! I would absolutely recommend Sean; I know we'll be using him for all of our future real estate needs.
Response: Thank you Joe!

Cat Wu: Sean made our home searching experience so pleasant and easy! He was knowledgeable, responsive, enthusiastic, and patient during the process,. What we appreciated most about working with him as first time home buyers was that he always made us feel like a priority and gave us honest advice during the searching and closing process. We found Sean via recommendation from a friend and have since recommended him to our other friends!

Sara Maskornick: We called Sean on a friend’s recommendation and were not disappointed. In a competitive housing market, Sean demonstrated an exceptional understanding of local dynamics, combined with excellent contacts with related professionals (mortgage broker, various service people once we closed), that made purchasing our house as seamless and easy as possible. He quickly helped us figure out what we were looking for, then worked hard to find us homes to tour that fit the bill. I really appreciated that he was sensitive to our needs and didn’t push us into a house above our budget, and also that he was able to give candid assessments about the strengths and weaknesses of different houses and neighborhoods that we toured.

Sarah Cigna: Sean has guided us through the purchase and selling of two homes. One in DC, the current one in Virginia. He is responsive, flexible and professional. He always seems to be “in the know” regarding the vibe of different neighborhoods and consistently brings a variety of perspectives to the table when considering where we wanted to live next. So much of what we have loved about our homes has been the location and we wouldn’t have found these amazing communities without Sean’s help! Sean has also helped us renovate our new home - a bonus!!! The potential he saw in what was a totally unusable kitchen inspired us to purchase our current home and we are so happy with how it all turned out. It felt as though he was genuinely invested in helping us find a home we would be really happy with. If you are looking for someone who can help you find a place to live that fits your lifestyle, Sean is absolutely the one.

Alexandra Townsend: Sean made looking for, finding, making an offer, and purchasing a home fun and painless. I was concerned that the experience was going to be stressful and hectic, but with Sean it was like hanging out with a friend and looking at cool homes. Sean is a fantastic listener who was able to quickly distill what I was looking for and had prioritized and knew exactly what to show me and what suggestions to make. I wouldn’t dream of entering the DMV real estate market without Sean and would recommend to absolutely everyone. Sean is a fantastic agent and good friend.

Aysegul Gignac: Sean is the best! He was very thorough and professional and the best real estate professional to work with in the DMV area. We are first time home buyers so we had lots of questions and very nervous to buy before we met him. He kept us apprised about available appointments and always let us know as soon as a new one came on the market. He was very honest and forthright- no games. After dealing with several agents and being disappointed, we felt lucky to find Sean.!

Golsa Yazdy: Sean was referred to me from a friend - and I couldn't be more thankful!! I was able to find the perfect home and felt confident about my purchase thanks to how helpful Sean was throughout the process. He paid close attention to all the details we were hoping for in a home, and was super knowledgable and honest about every place we saw. If I were to buy another home, I'd definitely have Sean as my realtor.

patrick hawn: Having both bought and sold with Sean Vann I would recommend his services without hesitation. In both cases I am confident he got us the best value we could have achieved. Sean is extremely knowledgeable in all areas of the DMV region. Willing to go the extra mile and even help with home improvement knowledge and experience to get the most out of your sale.
Response: Thanks for the recommendation Pat! Happy for you and your family. Congrats!

Lety G: We have used Sean Vann and Ross Vann to buy our first home and then sell our home for great money. Then upon returning back to the Stateside we again reached out to Sean to buy a place but I was still overseas. It was handled with no issues houses were lined up for the week I was able to fly in. We found a place in 5 days and all paperwork was handled on-line. It was stress free and handled very professional. We could not have asked for a better and smooth transition back to the States.

Keller Williams Capital Properties: what do users think?

Boogaloo.Justice. A: My son settled on a home and "Dr. Walter Bowman" was the seller's agent. This is my son's first home but because he loved the outlay of this house I supported his wishes. The property was painted as if a bunch of five year olds did the work. The loft bannister was lose and the crown molding did not match as it met in the corner of the wall, the outlets did not work in the kitchen, and rotten wood was found up around the roof area. Further someone purchased a door, cut it in half to make a small door for the crawl space under the steps. All my son saw was the set up and wanted to continue with the deal. Now he gets to closing and the keys to his now new home was not there. We had to retrieve the keys from the lock box. Then we realized its the ONLY key to the main door. He has no storm door key. He has no mailbox key and he did not know which parking space was his. Ms. Colbert, my son's agent tried contacting Dr. Bowman and he merely forwarded an email from the woman who once owned the home who is now residing in Carolina, " Parking space: 77 It is directly in front of the townhome and second from the end. The mailbox number should be on the key but Octavia will be better able to answer this question for it's been a while since I lived there. FYI, I just reached out to her as well requesting that she contacts you regarding this matter." First, who is Octavia? Well I assume she was the renter. How is this my son's problem? Those keys should have been at the settlement table. It's bad that he has to make all these repairs but know he has to chase down keys that should have been at that table. Mr. Bowman displays the most unprofessional demeanor I've ever witnessed. He will not return the call my son's agent regarding this matter and I am simply disgusted by his actions.

Viviana de Jesús: Mona Abourjeily is incredibly unprofessional, unreliable and inconsiderate. After spending valuable hours scouring through listing she sent me, I chose specific ones to view. I set aside an entire afternoon (and even kept my daughter out of school so we could view the properties together) but to my shock this individual sent me a CURT LAST MINUTE TEXT stating "This is too much. I have to stop." Without any provocation, she simply backed out leaving us high and dry. I called another agency and provided the listing to them but this selfish individual clearly refused to allow them to show the properties even though as she stated "it was too much work for her to accomplish ". I feel very sorry for the owners who have placed their trust in this woman. She clearly has no intention of helping neither the seller nor the buyer/renter. Her behavior is unacceptable and unprofessional.

Jamila McCoy: We had a very bad experience with Russell Carter of KWCP. He repeatedly told us that he was representing us as our buyer agent and did not inform us that he was actually working as a subagent for the seller until very late in the process. I do not know whether this was intentional or an oversight, but I feel that it severely disadvantaged us in every aspect of our sale. I noticed another person say in a review that it seemed like Russ was practically working for the seller. Buyer beware, he might be! Ask for the legally required disclosures about agency at your first meeting with Russ and do not accept any excuses about not entering into an agency agreement.

Lessett Lewis-birch: I worked with Gal Mesika and he was awesome, reliable, patient, intelligent and very knowledgeable. I am a first time home owner and he provided me with all the information I needed, he hook me up with the right persons to help me. He was with us in every step of the way. I was so nervous on the day of closing but Gal made me comfortable. Thank you soooo much Gal appreciate everything you did for us.

John Szymczak: Karen McGavin in my opinion is the most unethical and morally bankrupt realtor. Do not use this organization or person. They will used sales tactics from the 70’s- bait & switch, scare tactics & then when you don’t do what they want they become nasty. It has become unethical in every step. Even childish petty games! You can’t even get a straight answer & will double talked endlessly. I am sure she will dispute this review because is is an ego manic.

McEnearney Associates, Inc. REALTORS: what do users think?

Leena Vaez-Zadeh: Adrianna went above and beyond to help us find our perfect home. She was available 24/7 and was always very responsive to any and all questions we had during the process. During the home search process, Adrianna always pointed out the types of things we should be looking at in a home and it became very apparent early on that she was knowledgeable on every little component of a home. She always had our best interest in mind and we never felt pressured or forced to make an offer on any homes.
Response: Dear Leena, thank you so much for your amazing review of Adrianna. We sincerely appreciate these kind words and are delighted that your transaction went so smoothly. All the best from McEnearney!

Joseph Kocher: Our Realtor, Ann Duff, was AMAZING from the get go. After our previous transaction using another buyers agent did not pan out, we were referred to Ann via my best friend and we wish that we met her sooner. She was empathetic, professional, has the best sense of humor and immediately felt like a long-time friend. She took the time to listen to our needs and immediately put our minds at ease knowing that we had a consummate professional and advocate on our side. As first time homebuyers, she had our best interest at heart and gave us sage advice when we needed it. After working together for only 5 days, we submitted a winning offer on the perfect home and we closed less than 3 weeks later. We couldn’t recommend working with Ann enough and look forward to working with her again in the future!
Response: Thank you for this great review and recommendation, Joseph! We strive for this kind of feedback, and we are very happy to hear that Ann quickly got the job done. All the best and congrats on becoming a homeowner!

Mariette Heavey: Kristy Crombie and Erica Olsen did an outstanding job from start to finish. They are both so positive and supportive. They made excellent recommendations both for preparing the condo for sale and for vendors to do the work. They kept me informed every step of the way. Due to their professionalism and expertise, the condo sold in a matter of hours at well over the asking price.
Response: Mariette, we are thrilled to hear about your recent successful sale with Kristy and Erika, and we sincerely appreciate you taking the time to leave this review and recommendation. All the best from McEnearney!

Elizabeth Cantrell: We worked with Sue Kovalsky to sell our home in the Del Ray neighborhood of Alexandria, and it was a fantastic process. Sue handled everything flawlessly and answered all of our questions along the way. This was our second time working with Sue and the Jen Walker team, and we could not be happier with the professionalism, expert knowledge, and guidance they provided. I highly recommend their team, whether you are a buyer or a seller.
Response: Hi Elizabeth, thanks so much for this great review on your sale! We so appreciate your time in letting us know about your experience. We think Sue and the Jen Walker Team are pretty amazing (and hysterical). All the best!

Garrett Ressing: Simply stated, Chris Hayes, is a fantastic real estate agent. He understands the Alexandria market and provided great advice to us on what we needed to do to get the townhouse ready to sell. He responded quickly to all of our inquiries and went above and beyond the services other agents provide including helping us higher and oversee contractors. I highly recommend Chris to anyone buying or selling a house. You can find him at HayesWood Homes' or at McEnearney websites.
Response: Thank you for this great review and recommendation, Garrett! We strive for this kind of feedback, and we are very happy to hear that Chris and HayesWood Homes provided fantastic service. All the best.

Dave Ruben: Julian Burke was the reason my experience was all positive. His patience, experience and professionalism guided my elderly mother and me through the entire process of getting our home ready to sell to a wide range of potential buyers. The result was 14 contracts were written all above the asking price! Julian’s responsiveness in all our communications meant there were no surprises all the way through to our settlement. I would recommend Julian to all my family and friends if they are looking for a top agent in real estate.
Response: Thank you, Dave, for these kind words about the support you received from Julian. We love hearing about these successful journeys. Wishing you all the best!

Jim Fishel: From day one, our McEnearney experience was five-star. Alexandria-based agent Rebecca "Becky" McCullough was over-the-top helpful and knowledgeable. She was extremely professional and honest with an added – and much welcomed – sense of humor. Becky was also extremely creative, looking beyond the existing walls to visualize what could be done to make the house more appealing. And better yet, she never failed to communicate her enthusiasm to colleagues and prospective buyers. From the first day we met and through to the closing, Becky was available whenever we needed any input, clarification, or more detailed explanation. She worked tirelessly for us. Trying to sell your home can be a bumpy ride – especially after 28 years -- but we never doubted that Becky was steering us in the right direction. The legacy of the company's late founder John McEnearney certainly lives on with current agents like Becky, who embody the honesty and integrity that he espoused from the early days. This “old school” approach in today's mostly-impersonal world of grab, sell, and move-on, is much appreciated. If you are looking to sell your house and want to be represented by someone who always has your best interests at heart, I highly recommend that you contact Becky McCullough at McEnearney.
Response: Dear Jim, thank you for this great and thorough review! We are so happy to hear that Becky went above and beyond and fulfilled all the many duties to you as your Realtor. We so appreciate your words about her and the company's integrity. We take great pride in that. Kindest regards from McEnearney.

Julia DiTillio: Sallie Seiy helped us find our rental when we moved to the area in June 2020. We weren’t able to tour in person because of the pandemic, but she found the perfect place for us. When we started house hunting this year, we knew we wanted to work with her again. Sallie was readily available to answer all of our questions, day or night. She worked tirelessly to scout out answers from listing agents and assuaged our fears about buying in this market by providing us with facts that helped ground our emotions! Everything worked seamlessly from ratification to closing. We would definitely recommend Sallie to anyone buying a home in the DMV!
Response: Hi Julia, we are delighted that Sallie was able to assist you with real estate again. Thank you for these very kind words and for recommending her to others! All the best.

Nima Vaez: It was a pleasure working with Adrianna and McEnearney Associates! They made the home buying process so seamless and stress-free. They are experts in their field and will go leaps and bounds over what is required to find you your dream home. I would highly recommend as they made our dream home a reality and could not have done this with out them!
Response: Hi Nima, we are thrilled that you’ve had such a wonderful experience working with Adrianna! We are so happy you were able to find your dream home together! And thank you for this wonderful review. Kind regards, McEnearney 💙💚

James Searing: We just completed the sale of our house in Old Town Alexandria - the 18th such buy or sell transaction we've had the pleasure of working with Charlene Schaper over the last 30+ years. It couldn't have gone more smoothly or well! Charlene is the consumate professional agent. She's totally knowledgeable about buying and selling from the legal, financial, structural and emotional aspects of the process and is a joy to work with. We'll never use another agent!
Response: Hi James, 18 transactions with Charlene in 30 years - WOW! That's an incredible testimonial to her work and we so appreciate you taking the time to leave this for her and us. All the best from McEnearney!!

Nomadic Real Estate: what do users think?

Lindsay miranda: If I could give this a company 0 stars, I would. They are the most unresponsive, unaccountable management property I’ve ever dealt with. They would take months to address maintenance issues and send at least 2 or 3 contractors who would be wrongfully advised by Nomadic and unequipped to resolve the issue. For emergency maintenance issues, it would take them days and sometimes weeks to address. My ac stopped working during a heatwave in 2019 and it took them 5 days to get it fixed. My apartment was over 100 degrees and I had to stay in a hotel until someone showed up. This happened again in 2020 and 2021 for other emergencies as well. Moving out and closing my account with them was a nightmare as well, they never showed to do my inspection even though someone left a voicemail that they were on their way. They lost my Closeout document and then took them months to figure out what was going on with my security deposit. They did nothing for 4 months until I started emailing and calling weekly. I would not recommend any person lease through them or use them to manage your property.

Alan Curtis: I’ve been managing my own property in Silver Spring, MD for a few years now, but recently decided to have Nomadic Real Estate manage it due to lack of time, especially since I’m about to purchase another investment property. While I just began working with them, I’m happy with how it’s begun. I introduced them to my current tenants, and my tenants enjoyed meeting them. It’s hard to find great people-people, but Nomadic has found the right people. Looking forward to continuing to work with them!

Jessica Meier: When I was looking for a new place to call home, I came across Nomadic Real Estate online. Their website made it easy to get a feel for the different properties they had available, and I decided to give their virtual walkthrough service a try. I have to say that the virtual tour was spot on - everything looked exactly as it did in person. But even better was my actual visit to one of their apartments - it matched my expectations perfectly. The apartment was in great shape and had all the features I needed, from an updated kitchen to spacious closets. And the best part? It was wonderfully affordable. Overall, I can't recommend Nomadic Real Estate enough - whether you're looking online or in person. Basically, if you're looking for a new place to call home, check them out!

Nico Esguerra: Erin was so helpful and personable in giving me a tour, including accommodating me with a remote tour since I’m moving from another city. She was also patient and helpful with all my questions.

Janeen Mayfield: When I first contacted Nomadic Real Estate about managing my properties, I was a little hesitant. I wasn't sure if their team had the knowledge and experience to handle all of the legal details involved in property management, from drafting and executing lease agreements to handling tenant concerns. But Nomadic totally blew me away with their professionalism and attention to detail. They worked tirelessly on every aspect of my properties, from researching rental rates to making sure that all of my leases were air-tight. And throughout it all, they kept me updated on everything that was going on so that I never felt out of the loop. In short, Nomadic delivered everything they promised, and more. If you need help managing your properties, I highly recommend giving Nomadic a shot! You won't be disappointed.

Jordan Green: I rented a property from Nomadic at the start of 2020 and just moved out last month. The whole process was super easy, from applying online to submitting maintenance requests. The team is also very responsive, which I really appreciate. Matt in particular was always so helpful and took care of everything we needed. I'm really happy with my experience with Nomadic and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a hassle-free rental experience.

Elias Welsh: I've been a landlord for almost a decade now, and in that time I've worked with a lot of different property management companies. I can say without a doubt that Nomadic Real Estate is the best of the bunch. Working with Ray has been a pleasure, but the team in general is always quick to respond to any issues that arise, and they go above and beyond to make sure the tenants are happy. They even helped me find new tenants when my last ones moved out unexpectedly. I would highly recommend them to any landlord looking for a great property management company in the DC area.

Amanda Chavers: Just moved in to the property December 1st the pipe under the kitchen sink is leaking water washing machine does not work and has yet to be fixed tub faucet fell off when we tried to use it and the tub is backed up as well do not rent properties under there management and if you do make sure to thoroughly inspect everything!!!!!! Even if the appliances are new!! Also unit was not cleaned before we moved in, and I was told that it would be. I have reported all these issues and I have yet to get a response as to when it will be fixed. I wish I could rate them with a zero!!!!!! 12/20/21 Since this first review was posted I was reached out to by one of the owners of this company regarding my unit I wish that it would not have taken a unpleasant review to get this response but I still appreciated it. Overall I still would not recommend renting from this company, take your time and read the reviews from the tenants if I had done that I would not be in this situation now there responsiveness is subpar overall. I still need the light in my bedroom fixed and the sink and tub drain very slowly and I was told that’s as good as it will get on the plumbing situation because the pipes are old and corroded. I honestly can say that the maintenance men that came to my house after my review were great, but that’s about it…This is late but I ended up cleaning the unit myself and the owner thanked me for doing it…that was so offensive
Response: Hi Amanda, I'm really sorry to hear about your experience. We take all feedback very seriously and will be reaching out to you privately so we ensure that the maintenance team that came out was able to fix everything.

Shawn Evans: It's been a pleasure to work with the Nomadic team this past month. I’ve always lived in apartments until now, so this new landlord experience is amazing. They're professional and personable, always available when needed but never overbearing or in your way - just generous spirits that make me feel at ease knowing they have my back as a new renter. The property managers Julie & Connor showed up to our on-site meeting on-time, which is something I really appreciated. I can't say enough good things regarding these amazing people...If you're looking for someone reliable who'll maintain clean, healthy spaces while building strong connections within the community, look no further than Nomadic Real Estate.
Response: Thanks for the kind words Shawn, we're happy to hear you enjoyed your experience with Nomadic. We are always looking for ways to improve our service and make it even better - feedback like yours is invaluable in helping us do that. We'll be sure to pass on your comments about Julie & Connor's professionalism and punctuality to them as well as their manager so they can continue delivering a great customer experience!

Shelley Thornton: We’ve been working with Jenna for 2 years now, and can’t say enough about how happy we are as landlords. Not a single payment has come in late, and no issues have gone unsolved. Great customer service deserves a great recommendation.

EJF Real Estate Services: what do users think?

Susan Gravatt: I live in a property that EJF "manages." However, they do so poorly. I've reported multiple packages stolen from within the lobby of the building, and EJF hasn't bothered taking any action to prevent future repeat occurrences. They haven't alerted any residents, posted signage within the building, or even bothered to answer emails from my landlord or me when we've requested their help. EJF did obtain and share with me security footage from the building's camera, which shows someone within the building taking one of my packages. The individual is all suited and hooded up before 6am one day. The person appears to live in the building, given that he or she did not enter from the door in this screenshot. Sending this footage was helpful, but at the same time, it's creepy to think this person is likely a fellow resident. The worst part is that EJF doesn't care to address this in any way and let other tenants know to be on the lookout. So I guess I'll just wait for my next package to be stolen by a neighbor again since there's no form of recourse here with this negligent property management company.

Ahmad Parwiz Shiwa: EJF Real Estate Services has helped me with getting my new apartment in only 4 days despite the two days weekend and one-day holiday in sequence after submitting my application. They made the impossible possible. Everyone in EJF's team has been perfect and very supportive. I got great support from Ms. Nicole Rivera and Mr. James Rice! They provided me with the best service considering both quality and quantity and time management. Thank you, EJF Team! 🙂🙂

Samantha Zeno: I have had the worst experience with EJF. I appreciate the speed in which they were able to get my lease signed. However, after taking my full deposit. I had to find out from the building that I’m renting from that they have a separate application process and that I wasn’t actually approved yet. That was only the first of my headaches with EJF. I was told that the unit passed inspection and that it received two cleanings prior to moving in, but upon arrival I found that the unit was disgusting and physically covered in layers of dirt and grime. I was told there were no pest issues but I found pest traps. Countless things were broken including electricity, Internet cables, stove top, bathtub. That’s only the beginning of the maintenance requests I have had to submit. And through this company you have to pay hourly for maintenance however such issue should’ve been resolved prior to having a tenant move in . If a unit is not ready do not advertise it for rent. The company will not holding up its side of the lease. I have had challenges getting into contact with EJF when there are dire maintenance issues. I understand their customer support representatives are doing their best but if you can, save yourself the headache and do not rent through EJF.

Megan Quinn: I am beyond frustrated with EJF Real Estate. I would love to leave a better review, but my experience over the past month with them has been a joke. At the beginning of January, I discovered they had been double charging me for my HOA fees since August. Upon calling them, we were able to easily arrange for them to give me a refund. You would think that a company who had such ease taking double my money out of my account each month, would have no problem putting that money back in. It took about a week for them to finally tell me they mailed my check on January 14th, and that's only with incessant calls on my part. It is now February 1st and my check is nowhere in sight. The last time I called, I was directed to someone in accounts. I emailed them and have yet to hear back, even after a follow up email, and while I can't be upset with the customer service reps, it's incredibly frustrating to continuously get non-answers with no solution to my problem. I've been incredibly patient up until this point. I receive full packages from out of state faster than I'm receiving this standard sized envelope within the same few square miles, so at this point I'm convinced someone is slacking and just never actually sent my check. I will happily amend my review if someone with EJF could actually contact me with a solution to this issue.

Patrick Martell: We had a particularly time sensitive issue relating to move out. Marco Francisco from EJF handled this effectively, expeditiously and in a highly professional manner. We appreciate his good work, his understanding of the urgency of our issue, and his effectiveness in getting the necessary paperwork done.

Maria Ferrara: Esdras from EJF was very helpful walking me through the Portal, which I needed to attend to changes in my situation. I was very grateful to get a real person on the phone and for him to be patient with me. He answered all my questions and was helpful every step of the way. I am not computer savvy. So Esdras at EJF really helped me. Thank you, Esdras at EJF! Gold stars for you.

Nicholas Marcopoli: I've been meaning to write this review for a while now -- I lived in an EJF managed condo for a year and it was an absolute pleasure to work with EJF on everything from the lease agreement to maintenance requests to the final inspection and return of the security deposit. I've recommended EJF to several of my friends and colleagues who have all had similarly positive experiences.

Trevor Guthrie: This has got to be one of the worst management companies you can find. Constant building repairs that leave us without water, AC/Heat, sinks, etc. The people rarely answer phones and then when you're put on hold they make you listen to how "great" they think they are. I have a leaky bathroom, a toilet that wont flush, and a kitchen sink that has so little water pressure it is useless. I have reached out for a week (phone calls, emails, etc) to no avail. I cannot recommend this play any less. It should not even be in business.

Robert Mcbride: Our property has many complex systems that require a diligent Property Manager, Sarinda Ly knows our property and it’s complexities and has been responsive to my request for years. If it’s a complaint she follows through, if it’s a request for access for a utility between certain hours or even Weekends She has been there on time every time and I appreciate that, I have taken it for granted. A good property Manager is very hard to find in the DC area, we’re lucky to have one of the best.

Karl Sakas: As a landlord, I can't decide whether EJF is extremely dishonest or incredibly incompetent. Take your pick. - Turnover - Took 3 - 4 months to prep a vacant unit when original estimate was 2 weeks. Nothing major -- almost all was superficial work, like painting walls and reglazing bath tiles. However, the electrical breaker work was not done correctly initially and could've lead to serious injury or death of the tenant. Despite sign off on each individual item by EJF's "quality assurance" team, **thousands of dollars** of invoiced work was not completed until the landlord flagged on their own. - Fees - Questionable double-dipping between tenants and landlords. EJF employee claimed in writing the $35 month tenant fee made it so rental insurance was not needed by tenant... but then in lease, EJF required tenants to get separate renter's insurance. Is EJF lying or incompetent? Landlord pays a monthly mgmt fee to EJF, so why is EJF taking money out of the pockets out of the tenant, too? EJF explained a pet fee is pocketed by mgmt group, not landlord. The "pet insurance" scheme they described is questionable at best. - Accounting - Incorrectly issued 1099-MISC and more erroneous charges on the monthly statements than I can count. EJF sent first payment as a paper check to who knows where, despite previously setup and transfer of funds thru automatic transfer. Process to remedy was painful. - Communication - Often weeks between responses, despite multiple follow up by email and phone. - Marketing - Awful, sloppy copy to market the unit with numerous inaccuracies and contradictory statements. In the same paragraph Pets are Allowed and Not Allowed. Unit has window A/C and central HVAC. Touts stores that have been closed earlier for the neighborhood. Even factoring in the challenges of the world, R\rental took much longer to lease out than compared units in the building during the same time period at a lower rent value.

Compass Real Estate: Shaun Murphy REALTOR: what do users think?

Chris Mays: I would highly recommend Shaun to anyone who is interested in purchasing a home. Shaun helped me and my wife through every step of the home buying process to find us the perfect place. He was available to tour and meet at times and of course locations convenient to us. He was able to help us find great listings, tour and inspect and submit a competitive offer. He helped us pass on places that were quick flips. He is very knowledgeable about house maintenance and construction so he will help you know what to look for and avoid in properties. As first time home buyers we didn’t know what to look for but with Shaun we were totally comfortable with living in our house. After all, you want a good place, not to over pay for someone you won’t love! We didn’t over bid and we didn’t even have to waive contingencies. In fact, we only placed one offer and were done. I know friends who placed 5 or more and that’s just rough! The night of our closing he gave us tickets to his suite at the Nationals game. Juan Soto had a walk off hit and fireworks went off as the wining run crossed the plate. It was the perfect end to the home buying process, which is of course just the first step of home ownership. I am confident in saying that if Shaun was not our agent then we would not be living here. I would definitely work with him again

Rainbow Lloyd: Shaun is the simply best. He helped us sell one home and buy two others in the last seven years. We are happy repeat customers. We can’t recommend him enough for anyone who has real estate needs in the DC area. Shaun puts you at ease during the buying and selling process. He patiently answers all questions, and he has excellent resources for his clients, including great contractors, home inspectors, and mortgage brokers. Shaun was able to sell our house over asking price in 12 hours! He was also able to negotiate both of the houses we bought under asking price - which was no easy task with our current purchase in the hot 2020 COVID market. Both homes we purchased with him have been great for our family and really good investments. While buying or selling a house can be a stressful situation, Shaun cares for his clients as family and makes the process enjoyable. You will not go wrong if you work with Shaun. We highly recommend him.

Martin: We would happily recommend Shaun to anyone looking to purchase a home in the area. He made our first-time buying process very easy and we felt he was a big reason why we were able to get our perfect home. Besides guiding us through the ins and outs of real estate and being highly responsive to our questions, his knowledge of home construction was extremely helpful as we toured homes. He was honest with his evaluations and did not push us towards specific decisions. We were able to quickly get an offer accepted and closed within a few weeks thanks to Shaun's advice on making a competitive offer, his negotiating on our behalf, and his working closely with our mortgage broker to make the process seamless. Even after the home purchase, he has been responsive, continuing to help us communicate questions to the sellers and recommending contractors for all of our needs. We really appreciate everything Shaun did for us, and would not hesitate to work with him again!

Betty Balistreri: Shaun really made selling my house easy, at the price I wanted and even faster than I thought possible. I found him honest, to-the-point, always available to answer questions and emails. It was my first home sale and he was great explaining things to me, each step of the way. In addition, he really went out of his way to deal with the challenges I brought due to living outside of the United States.

Becky Boutwell Kobberod: Shaun was great to work with and we can't recommend him enough. He took the time early on to educate us on the neighborhoods that fit our budget and the style of house we wanted. He was also very knowledgeable on the area and gave us great advice on how other homes compared. Most importantly, he was an expert on the market and knew what it would take to get an offer accepted - an incredible asset in this seller's market. We were at closing only a few months after we started working together. Great experience all around!

Jonathan Kaupanger: Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness, ValueStop looking for another realtor! You want Shaun. We had three houses hit the market at the same time in our neighborhood. Ours sold first, and it's all because of Shaun! He helped us through every step of the process and was available to "talk us off the ledge" when we became over-stressed. Oh and we got full asking price, too!

Laura: Hands down, Shaun was amazing to work with and an absolute expert in his field. As first-time homebuyers using the VA loan, searching across northern Virginia for a single-family home, we are incredibly grateful that we got to work with Shaun. In this very competitive environment, Shaun was always responsive to our questions, arranging tours at short notice, and providing invaluable (really, absolutely invaluable) perspective on homes we were looking at. Shaun was always very honest with us in his evaluations of a property: whether it was repairs that would have to be made, whether he thought a house was listed too high or low, how many offers he thought the house would get, and how often certain neighborhoods had homes coming on the market. Shaun noticed things we certainly would have missed. As I mentioned, the market right now is competitive. Our winning bid was one of eight on the home we just closed on and we absolutely relied on Shaun as he helped us craft the offer. He was very responsive in talking us through a variety of scenarios, and in the end, I have no doubt that working with Shaun is what gave us the edge and winning bid. Thank you, again, Shaun! I cannot recommend you highly enough, it was a pleasure working with you!!

Meghan Noury: Shaun was absolutely amazing working with my husband and I on buying and closing on our very first home. The market in Northern Virginia is very competitive and we felt very confident and comfortable that Shaun had the expertise and knowledge for us to get the first house we put an offer on! His connections with other colleagues in the real estate business assisted us with our fast (3 weeks fast..!!) closing, and we felt like everything was streamlined and smooth right up until we got the keys to the house! Thank you Shaun for making this process so fun and smooth for us and we can't wait for all the memories we will make in our amazing new house!

Alex Sproveri: Shaun goes above and beyond. As first-time home buyers, we were intimidated by the competitive northern VA real estate market and complex process of buying a home. Shaun met with us months in advance to lay out the steps to buy a home and to develop a timeline that worked for us. Shaun works with local lendors, inspectors, and settlement company, which streamlines the process and makes it easier on the purchaser. Shaun shared his honest assessments throughout the process, including telling us when we should not place a bid on a home. I can't imagine buying or selling a home in the future without Shaun.

Matthew Webb: My wife and I had a great experience working with Shaun to purchase our first home. He worked with us through long-distance showings and COVID-19 protocols to help us find the perfect house. Shaun's experience was able to provide us insight into the local market and helped us shape our winning bid despite multiple competing offers. Shaun is a great agent who I would definitely recommend and would work with again.

The Laura Steuart Team of Compass: what do users think?

Zachary Rudick: The Laura Steuart Team of Compass is top notch and they are truly the best. They combine expert local real estate knowledge, excellent customer service, and a caring, customized approach to working with you as a client. I always felt in very good hands with them and they guided me through every step of a process that seemed complex and new to me. I was able to find the perfect house (I was very picky!) in a competitive market and they also went the extra mile to ensure that my previous place sold quickly. I couldn't say enough to recommend!!!

Gussie Reilly: We had the pleasure of working Kyrsten Green to find and buy our first home in DC. We were so lucky to have her help us navigate such a crazy market and all of our first-time home buyer questions and concerns. In an incredibly fast paced and competitive market Kyrsten's expertise, guidance, and recommendations were spot on and got us our dream home. She was transparent, helpful, patient, and it was such a joy to work with her and Compass!

Katharine Kindick: Working with Kyrsten Green on the sale of our home was an absolute pleasure. She was hands on and walked us through the whole process from advising us on possible repairs months prior to even to listing to helping us curate our furniture to best show the house and through the whole settlement process. Her team was excellent - we still can’t believe how great the photos and video turned out! She absolutely helped us get the best price for our home. We recommend her to anyone and everyone!

Alyssa Adcock: The Laura Steuart and Kyrsten Green team at Compass is hands down the best. Kyrsten was responsive, attentive, and knowledgeable throughout the home buying process. She made the experience as stress-free as possible and was always quick and thorough with answers to our multitude of home buying questions. They truly care about their clients, going above and beyond. Highly, highly recommend.

Clay Ellis: I had an amazing experience working with Susie Patrick on Laura Steuart’s team. She was extremely professional, responsive, educated on the market, and helpful throughout the home buying process. She was on time with comps in hand for every tour and followed up about new details for units we had seen. Additionally, she went above and beyond to track down new opportunities for us with our best interests in mind. I would recommend reaching out to Susie for all of your home buying and selling needs. I will definitely be using her when it comes time to sell my home!

Martha Bourtsos Orzechowski: Laura and Kyrsten helped our family find a rental property and ultimately purchase a home during an incredibly difficult personal time. They were caring, thoughtful, patient and clear experts in everything related to home buying and moving. They spent time understanding our needs and made sure every home we saw met our criteria, resulting in settling in our desired neighborhood and in a beautiful property. Working with this team could not have been any easier, fun or more successful! Thank you!

Anna Wood: Kyrsten and Laura guided us through the purchase of our very first home. We needed a lot of guidance and really felt that we had a true partnership in finding our family the best home. It was a challenging time to look during a pandemic, with a lot of factors in our home search changing in real time. Kyrsten was patient, responsive, and helpful with both the "big picture" as well as the details needed to close. We would warmly recommend working with Kyrsten and Laura!

Richard Thiel: Kathryn Diguette is an outstanding professional. She listened to the details that were important to us and then work diligently to find us places to view that meet our requirements. After finally finding the place that was that perfect match, she worked tirelessly to get a very reasonable price for the property. The professional advice from Kathryn and the Laura Steuart Team of Compass was invaluable during the negotiations. Thank you for your guidance throughout the entire process to get a place we truly love.

Jackie Gottshall: Kyrsten Green is fantastic to work with! We recently bought our first home during the pandemic, relocating across states in a highly competitive seller's market. Kyrsten was extremely responsive, thorough, and patient with all of our questions. She worked quickly, conducted virtual tours for us, and ultimately guided us to the winning bid on a house that we love. I can't recommend Kyrsten enough!

Henry Slauson: Laura Steuart and Kyrsten Green worked diligently to help our growing family find its first home in Washington DC. They made sure we saw the right houses at the right times and set realistic expectations for buying in the competitive DC market. Without their market expertise and relationships our home search would have lasted much longer.

Thos. D. Walsh, Inc.: what do users think?

Tim Kessler: I recently sold my condo, which This D. Walsh managed for about 15 years, and I wanted to comment on my experience with the company. Walsh did a great job year after year. They always notified me of pending issues (before they became issues), provided timely and accurate documentation, did excellent and accurate accounting, and made sure that my tax info was in good order. They were always accessible by phone or email when I had questions and responded quickly. The staff is friendly and solves problems. I was very happy with Walsh´s service and I give them my highest recommendation for anyone who needs to rent out their property but doesn´t the time or expertise to do it themselves.

Daisha: SCAM. I applied weeks almost a month ago and have yet to hear back from their office. I’ve been calling everyday NOBODY picks up the phone. No status of my application or anything has been sent to my email. They basically just took my $50 application fee and ran. This is why I stay away from private leasing companies. UNPROFESSIONAL.

lilly o: I’m a contractor, they hired my services for a duct cleaning at one property manage by Keith Carr back in October, it is now April 2022 and we still have not received payment m. Keep calling and emailing office staff including Keith and no one has had the decency of paying for the over due invoice.

Will F: Second time this month our apt doesn't have hot water. Last time it was for federal days. This is the 4th (I think) since we've moved in less then a year ago.

Alexandra Cantalupo: My partner and I rented with Thos D Walsh for 5 and half years in DC and I can say with certainty that they will be one of the best landlords you've ever had. When we moved from an apartment to a row house we specifically sought out properties rented from them. The apartment that we rented was rent controled at an extremely affordable rate for DC. But even so - whenever we had any problem with the unit Thos D Walsh was always extremely prompt and got the issue solved for us. I'll never forget when the oven stopped working, we sent in a report and maybe 2 days later they installed a brand new oven in our place. The rent control on that apartment was a huge factor in helping us save to buy our first home. Good people, great properties!

Melissa Aronson: I truly cannot say enough terrible things about my rental experience with Thos D. Walsh... In the unit I rented on the corner of 15th & U Street in DC I dealt with cockroaches, mold, leaks, an ac unit that broke 7 or 8 times, and tenant on the first floor who turned the building into a glorified homeless shelter. The only positive thing I have to say is that they do respond to maintenance requests, but each is completed with spotty patch work that never resolves the problem, but covers it up long enough for them to get their next rent payment. I had maintenance providers tell me "Oh we told the management they needed to replace X or this problem will persist" and loe and behold, the problems always persisted. I have too many horrible experiences to recount, but one of the most concerning was when we caught a homeless person living in a small closet under our stairwell inside the building - mind you, he didn't break in, he was let into the building by another tenant. When we reported it to Thos they said "Oh yeah we've had this issue before...." Why a lock wasn't installed the first time around is the most textbook example of their negligence that I can provide. This incident combined with a log of dozens of other troubling and sometimes terrifying events at our building, I demanded that security cameras be installed. After harassing them for weeks and threatening legal action, they reluctantly installed cameras, but, surprise to no one, the cameras were simply a prop that didn't work. Packages were stolen repeatedly, one time a fire extinguisher was set off inside the building releasing toxic fumes, and every time we requested footage from those cameras so we could deal with the aftermath of said issues we were met with silence. No one at this management company actually works aside from Katrina who deals with the maintenance requests. Unless you're interested in renting, there is no one at the office to speak to and no one will respond to your messages. I moved out two months ago and I still haven't been able to reclaim all the money I am owed. I've called/emailed Keith (the Vice President) once or twice every week for past 8 weeks and every time he is conveniently on vacation or has "just stepped out" - oh and his cell phone? It goes straight to voicemail and the mailbox is full :) The "President", Dan Walsh? I'm not sure he even exists. Other than Katrina, this team could not be any less professional. Thos D. Walsh has no right to call themselves a management company because all their competent in is violating tenant rights. Save yourself the headache I've endured and stay as far away from Thos as you can.

Angelia Tran: I applied for a unit on NYE after talking to the agent, Ryan, about the lease (term and rent). I was told I was the first applicant since no others had applied to the unit so far. I got a follow up the following week (1/4), and after some back and forth, agreed to Thos D Walsh's terms on 1/4. From there the responsiveness and professionalism completely disappeared. The YELP reviews from 2015 mentioned similar incidents, and I COMPLETELY agree. It is not a one time occurrence. I constantly followed up regarding whether or not my application was officially accepted and if they would send me a lease. Ryan started ignoring my calls, the leasing office would not return my voicemails - which was particularly concerning since I had mentioned I wanted a move-in date of 1/24. They were dragging their feet so they could get other offers , which they ended up accepting instead. I had to call today (1/13) to get an answer. The lack of professionalism comes from the following: A) The lack of communication and responsiveness with 1) my application and 2) the results of my application. Other YELP reviews mentioned that it looks like Thos D Walsh wants to generate a little extra $$ through collecting application fees. B) Lack of transparency that a lease was not first come/first serve I would not recommend applying to any of their properties. If this is the behavior and professionalism at the beginning, I have concerns about later when a tenant is locked in a lease.

K John: I had rented an apartment from Thos D. Walsh some years ago and it was a nice experience. Never had any major issues with repairs, and even though the building was old it was a pleasant and affordable place to live. My only issues is now, because I've been trying to contact them regarding a couple of their current rentals and have been given the run-around. You leave a message at the office and sometimes there is no reply, or the mailboxes are full. This is not good business and now I can understand how a few of their vacant rentals are still vacant after 3-4 months. They've just lost a potential tenant.
Response: John, I'm sorry we missed you, you caught us at a bad time. March of 2015 we moved our offices from Connecticut Ave in Cleveland Park to 12th Street in Brookland. During the move phone service was interrupted and several messages were lost. I am sorry we lost the opportunity to reconnect, but please keep us in mind for the future. Thanks, Thomas

Ally Bearber: I have to say That I am VERY HAPPY with my experience renting from Thomas D Walsh. I have been renting a Glover Park 1 Bedroom from them for over a year now and have found them to be very professional and responsive. Just the other night, a Saturday, my heat was low and I called the emergency number. I was extremely upset about my heat and screamed when he picked up the phone. Within 30 min Keith from the office was at my apartment helping me get the heat back. It is hard to get service like that from a big company. I do, however, wish they would take Credit Cards, please guys.
Response: We now take credit cards!

Amie Pendleton-Knoll: The management company is quick to respond to maintenance requests but that's about it. When it comes to money they're shifty and evasive. They throw unknown fees onto residents' payment portals without warning or justification, then refuse to remove the charges once cleared. No one ever answers the phone and their accountant line does not work. I was hoping to avoid writing a negative review, but it has now been two weeks since I first reached out to the management company asking about $600 they charged our house, with no response. We are looking to move out asap but they are ignoring our attempts to get in contact. I wish I had known what we were getting into signing on with Thos D Walsh.

Winston Real Estate: what do users think?

Jean Waterman: We relied on Gigi and her team not only to purchase our Watergate South home but also to sell our 200-year-old townhouse in Old Town Alexandria. So much has been said about the unique advantages of working with Gigi when buying at Watergate - I'll just say "ditto." Less well known is how good a job she can do in marketing other properties. Her team produced great marketing materials, provided excellent and timely resources that we needed, and gave us good advice. And because she was in a position to coordinate our townhouse sale as well as our Watergate purchase, both transactions concluded successfully.

Tom Corcoran: My family and I are very pleased with the real estate services of the Winston Real Estate Company. First, Gigi Winston helped us develop the asking price for our Watergate townhouse. The asking price was what we wanted and realistic. Second, she and her associates used modern technology to assist in showing it well. Third, they were very forthright in helping us deal with the challenges we faced during the process of selling our townhouse. Finally, Gigi provided us with excellent, professional advice during the final negotiations which helped to get us a fair price for our property at Watergate. We highly recommend Winston Real Estate Company! - Tom Corcoran
Response: thank you!!

Lynnette Asselin: I found Winston Real Estate, Gigi as well as her staff, to be extremely knowledgeable about the properties at the Watergate that I was interested in looking at. Everyone was always on time for all of the appointments and ready with the necessary information. The final selected apartment is perfect and matched my needs exactly. Although Winston represented both the seller and the buyer, I felt Gigi Winston communicated between the two parties in a very professional and positive way; she cared that each party got what they were looking for.

Gregor Bailar: In 40 years of buying and selling homes, Gigi turned out to be the worst realtor I have ever had. There are many other great choices that will serve you better. As the other RECENT reviews confirm: overcommits, underdelivers - and this is being gracious. I would highly recommend only reading recent reviews!!
Response: You were wonderful to work with! Thank you so much for the kind words.

Joanne Asbill: My husband and I looked at apartments in all three Watergate buildings for four years before we sold our home in upper northwest DC and bought an apartment in Watergate East. Gigi Winston was incredibly patient with us during this time and never pressured us. She also introduced us to a contractor who had worked in the Watergate previously and, after we saw their work, we hired them to renovate our apartment. It turned out beautifully. We couldn't be happier. We highly recommend Gigi to anyone interested in purchasing a Watergate apartment.

marcy dolan: Gigi Winston and her staff deserve five stars! Professional, patient, experienced, compassionate, smart, Gigi Winston and Winston Real Estate shine with a steady light, without so much as a flicker. This is a company to count on all the way through the buying and selling process. We found two new homes over the years with Winston Real Estate due to the hard and perceptive work of its team, led by Gigi Winston. We also sold a home through her diligence, caring, and smarts. If you want the best, you'll find it at Winston Real Estate! Peter & Marcy Dolan

Dawn Li: Gigi, I want to thank you for a great job with selling my home. You were very responsive, attentive and informative throughout the whole process. Your team also rocks!

Mandy Whistler: Hired her. She Over Promises Under Delivers. I don't think she sells a lot, just lists a lot. Rides on multiple lies.
Response: i have never talked to you - is this an error
