Escape the Room DC (Penn Quarter): what do users think?

Dylan Berwick: Friendly staff. Hard room. We did the jurassic theme and it was one of the best rooms we have ever played. Very well thought out and not just a bunch of locks. We escaped with 11 seconds to spare. Would definitely recommend!

alexis mcmenamin: Went with my family to play the depths. Very challenging but the game guides helped us through the room! I’ve played prison break at this location before and thought I would try out another room. The designs of these rooms are unparalleled in dc. Definitely check it out.

Emily Kwong: The Dig was amazing! Clever puzzles, and really cool room design. The game master kept us laughing and in good spirits when we got stumped; we got out with minutes to spare…

Kierra Coles: I took my family here for the Jurassic ecape Sunday after work, and hunny let me tell you we had a blast. It was an amazing experience for both us adults and the children. Sophia was our host and she did an amazing job hosting and assisting us because it was my first time so I was a little scared lol I'm definitely going back maybe without the kids though, hands down amazing experience.

TyQuan Jenkins: Sophia was our host and she did a great job as our guide through the clues, we would've been stuck without her. Amazing experience, I went for the first time with my family to the Jurassic escape and it was a bit difficult but still super fun. I'm definitely going back.

Kat VonDu: This was amazing! My friend and I finished just 1:27 before the timer ran out. The Jurasstic was very fun and bery cool and interactive! Had a great time!

Kate Miller: Can't say enough great things about the staff. My daughter's 10th birthday party was here and she loved it.Just when they group was about to give up they got clues and took off again. It was a full hour of squealy good time

Nicolas Wyse: This was the worst experience we've had in an escape room. Really..the only bad experience we've had in one. We did the Submarine escape. Components did not work correctly, and when the 'helper' sent hints there were more cryptic and only caused confused. The worst part - SHE CAME INTO THE ROOM 3x!! Because things weren't working, or she didn't bother to explain them. Completely ruined the experience.

Yonnie West: My son went with his aunt over the weekend and he wouldn't stop talking about it when he got home. He had an amazing experience and he says Sophia was really nice.

Estifanos Kidane: Amaaaazing place to go have fun as a group. The puzzles are really great. Challenging in a very fun way. If you go once you are definitely going back for the other challenges. FYI be ready to think out of the box. 💡

Escape Artist DC: what do users think?

Teonna Tunstall: The manager/staff member greeted us upon entrance. He was very nice and patient with my family members as we came in one by one. I recommend this experience for everyone! This was my first visit to an escape room and it was a 11/10. I will definitely be returning soon.

Stephanie Wright: This place at first glance looked like someone’s home, but I knew that wasn’t the case because of all the signs that said “ this is not a house that someone lives in” or something to that nature lol( there were at least 3 signs I saw). Then we walked past the kitchen to get to our room(there were things all over the counter.. Everyone knows to clean the kitchen for company). Once we got inside the room and we settled in for the guy to tell us the back story…. I knew this was definitely DIFFERENT. I have been to dozens of escape rooms and what happened next was the first. He turned on the tv and went to YouTube for our briefing… ok.. then directs or attention to a pad on wall that looks like an alarm system. The pad is where clues come up.. sound simple? Nope. Because the clues were pre-made you can’t ask specific questions. There was absolutely no flow to the room and a group of 5 we barely were able to get through anything. Overall, whoever bought this house really put a lot of work into the escape room. It didn’t flow though, just a lot of random clues. Wouldn’t return even for the price. Spend more!

Aaron Kersch: We've done literally hundreds of escape rooms and we thoroughly enjoyed the Gallery Heist! While it may not be as refined as other rooms, what with wires hanging about and the room a bit bare, the clues and puzzles more than make up for it. There were some truly unique elements in this room and we will surely be back!!

Melanie Stone: My son and I are escape room junkies and we attempted 6 rooms in one day. We saved the escape artist DC for our last 3 rooms. We were concerned because there were just 2 of us and some rooms needed more people. But the host had adjustments in the puzzles to accommodate teams of 2 if needed We had been successful with the first 3 rooms on our quest so we were pumped to see if we could actually do it and escape all of them. We got to the escape artist DC and it is in a little row house. There are no frills here but lots of adventure. We were greeted by our host and he suggested we start with the hardest room first This ended up being good advice since we were pretty mentally-spent after #5 but back to the rooms All of the rooms appear to be really basic but looks can be deceiving. They were all so well themed. The system they use to provide hints was very unique. It was also neat to see new devices and games / challenges. We did all 3 of his rooms but we would definitely do more if/ when they change them up and we are in the area. We did escape all 3 rooms with just the 2 of us. We were physically and mentally wiped out but what an awesome day.

Jennifer Romberg: I had a group of 9 adults come to do the Night at the Museum Room. The manager/statf was very friendly and helpful. We loved that there was plenty for everyone to do inside the room so no one felt like they were not needed. The variety puzzles were great for all types of people. We successfully escaped in 42 minutes with no hints, but we definitely felt challenged along the way. We had a fabulous time and can't wait until we can come back and try one of the other rooms!

Deb Miedema: We do a lot of escape rooms. A LOT. This felt as much like an escape room as a garage sale feels like a store. Yes, technically, there were puzzles to be solved. The game did not flow. You get what you pay for, I guess. Take my advice -- pay 20% more and get 100% more quality and professionalism.

Michael Lockwood: It was my first escape room experience and I really enjoyed it! The owner is super smart and also an amazing artist. His story on how he started his escape rooms is powerful and will leave you wanting to do more. While the game is usually played with three to four people, my friend and I got pretty far as a team of two. It was a great team building experience for everyone! So, if you are looking for a fun activity to do on a weekend with friends, family, or coworkers, go do an escape room at Escape Artist DC! Find the Escape Artist Within You!

Chris Mullins: My group of six adults completed the Night at the Museum room in April 2017. The experience was challenging, fun, and exciting. Without giving away any spoilers, completing the challenge and escaping the room requires a combination of logic and creativity, for an experience that works both sides of the brain. The puzzles are colorful, diverse, and fun. The owner/designer has created a consistent theme in the “story” behind the puzzle so that the participants must solve a mystery to obtain the key and escape. The premises are very well-maintained with a nice lobby and foyer for the initial briefing (hint: listen carefully) prior to being “locked” in the room and puzzles in the room ranging from simple to highly unique and complex. In the world of growing digital media and experiences, it is great to be able to complete an in-person and hands-on experience like this one. My group found this to be both a great team-building experience as well as gratifying to each of us individually. I highly recommend Escape Artist DC and would encourage groups of all ages and sizes to try it.

Bella Love: Had a blast with my husband and children (11, 7 & 6). It was our first time and although it took a few minutes to figure out exactly where to start, the owner and provided hints were SUPER helpful. I thought it was cute and very entertaining and thankfully with the help/hints were found the thief and escaped (Gallery Heist). I definitely plan to visit again!! 😊

Kirk Sigmon: Easily the best escape room I've ever visited. Escape Artist is a conveniently-located escape room in DC. It's right next to parking, amazing restaurants/bars, and easily metro accessible. It's BYOB, too - not common with escape rooms. Better yet, Escape Artist easily has the best escape rooms I've ever seen. The puzzles aren't unfair or overly convoluted - rather, they're fair and just difficult enough. No ridiculous leaps of logic, unfair math puzzles, etc. Everything feels very well thought-out, and you can tell that the puzzles were designed by Escape Artist (rather than just purchased online, like other escape rooms). My group had an absolute blast.

Escape Room Arlington: what do users think?

Kurt “Aerial” Brunken: One of the better escape rooms around in the local DC area. Highly recommend visiting. The clues are nonlinear and require more than just opening a standard combination lock. The staff was very helpful and can give you nudges or full blown hints.

Madison Lester: This escape room is so cozy and all the staff is so sweet, funny and kind. Caitlin is who I spoke to most. She was very accommodating and personable. Our game master was funny and added to the room’s experience. We have done mind trap and Poe now and will definitely be coming back. Thank you for all you do. We love you.

Tara Galloway: The Poe room was difficult but very clever! Loved the incredibly well executed theme, the storyline, and the challenging puzzles. Was also interested and excited to learn the team at ERA creates their own rooms. Would absolutely recommend this business, especially given their price point as compared to other escape rooms in the area. Well worth a visit if you need an activity for an afternoon or evening in Arlington!

Ragavan Suresh: Lots of fun, awesome production value and very friendly staff. We went as a group of 3 and solved the supervillains escape room which had Numerous puzzles that allowed the party to split up and work on their own things. The puzzle design facilitated a natural flow of splitting up and regrouping to brain storm. Can recommend for any size or expertise.

Kristie 24: This place is by far the BEST ESCAPE room ever. My partner and I have done 50 plus escape rooms across the country and this by far is the most unique, methodically designed and creative escape rooms we have ever experienced. We loved it so much that we did all 4 of their rooms in 2 days. We can’t wait till they release a new one. We will be the first ones to try it out.

Mona Abdelrazaq: My husband and I stopped in yesterday with a couple questions about a new room they’re debuting later this year. Caitlin greeted us at the door with a PHENOMENALLY positive attitude. My husband’s questions can often be…a lot… and she was the perpetual customer-focused professional throughout our visit. If she treats us this well before we are even customers, I would bet she goes even further above and further beyond for paying patrons. The rooms look cool, and yes we were interested initially because of that, but Caitlin’s care and attention really pushed it over the top for us. We can’t wait to plan a trip back, and to book a room, or three. Thank you Escape Room Arlington, and THANK YOU for your true kindness, Caitlin!

Rita Oluchi Obi: My boyfriend and I had an amazing time. Escape Room Arlington was extremely clean and had the right decor! This is our first time doing an Escape Room. We did Mind Trap and we didn’t manage to escape , but we were pretty close ! This is a great exercise for relationships as well. Definitely plan on going back .

Daniel K Chang: Awesome! We went for a birthday party for a 10-year old and it was tons of fun. We did the Christmas escape room and the also the superhero one. Both were great although the superhero one was a little more advanced. Definitely recommend. Five stars!!

Aimee Lagrave: This is by far my favorite escape room in the DC area. I've done a number of rooms and this room surpassed them all. I enjoyed the way they offered hints and nudges, but also the puzzles seems to be just right and interactive enough to keep the players on their toes and involved. We tried the seasonal room, and really enjoyed it. There were 3 of us and there was no point where we felt unable to complete the task or figure out the puzzles.

Roosevelt Ramage: A group of friends and I ventured off to the Escape Room Arlington. It was an epic time. We selected the horror room and had 15 mins to spare. It's a great ice break to be engaged with your friends. You can find out a lot about them. A great team builder or ice breaker. Check them out!
Response: Hi Roosevelt, Thank you so much for your review! It was a pleasure to meet you and the rest of your team this past week. We are so happy to hear that everyone had a great time! We can't wait to see you all again for your next get together! Take care! -Caitlin

The Escape Game DC (Downtown): what do users think?

Sara Lester: We went as a group of 10 and did The Heist as a team building outing for work. It was a lot of fun!! It took us the whole hour and everyone had a blast. The game was challenging, but we were still laughing the whole time. We were already planning our next escape as we left. The staff was really great from beginning to end - taking pictures of our group and even giving us a signed card at the end. Thank you for a great night!
Response: Thank you so much for coming by, Sara! We look forward to having you and your team back again soon for more adventures. 🖼 ♟ 🦑 🐪

Isabella Paulone: Amazing experience! I went there twice, and both experiences were positive. The employees were extremely friendly, helpful, and patient. My friends and I are deaf, and they were able to accommodate us. They ensured our needs, and the needs were accessible. They will help you figure out the clues if needed. Definitely coming back!
Response: Thank you, Iza! We hope you have a 5 star day! ⭐️

Yuning Liu: We did the mysterious market room and it was awesome! It’s definitely more challenging than the other escape rooms I’ve been to. I loved how the room was decorated and that their puzzles were very diverse (not just one combination lock after another). We escaped at the very last second - which was super exciting. Will come back in the future!
Response: Thanks for your review, Special Agent Yuning! We hope to see you again soon.

Austin Graff: I've done many Escape Rooms around the world and this is one of the best. Three friends and I went on a Sunday afternoon and spent an hour in the Special Ops: Mysterious Market. Without giving anything away, we ALMOST got out within an hour. It's tough and we used all three clues. Cost is $35 per person and there are four different rooms at this location. Parking can be tough so go on a Sunday when street parking is free.
Response: Thank you so much for your feedback, Austin! We'd love to hear some further feedback from you on how we could have made your 4-star experience a 5-star experience. Please feel free to reach out to us at washingtondcmanagement@theescapegame.com and we will be more than happy to assist you!

Madeline Buczkowski: Such a great experience! We did the prison break room and escaped, but barely. We do escape room a lot, and this was one of the best we’ve done. The attention to detail, the sheer amount of puzzles and things to figure out, and many rooms kept the experience interesting at all times. The staff was also great and very enthusiastic. I 100% recommend for everyone - we will definitely be returning!
Response: Congrats on your escape, Madeline! 'Barely' counts! We look forward to having you back!

Vandana Verma: I’ve done two of the rooms so far and this is by far the best escape room I’ve done in DC. Prison break is thoughtfully laid out and challenging. Heist is another great room. If you like a challenge, make sure you tell them no hints unless you ask.
Response: Thank you for joining us, Vandana! So glad you were able to do Prison Break and The Heist with us. We look forward to your next adventure.

Chandler Sinks: One of the best we’ve done! 10/10 recommend. Staff was great- Thursday was our guide and they were very kind. We did The Depths, hoping to come back tomorrow night to do another!
Response: Thank you for exploring The Depths with us, Chandler! And thanks for coming back to play Special Ops, hope to have you back soon for Prison Break and The Heist!

Kris Scorup: We just finished The Depths in Washington DC. The location is very close to Metro Center station. Our group of four (two adults, two teens, veterans of ~10 escape rooms) all had a great time. The room is very detailed, all puzzles worked, and the multimedia is high-quality. My only complaint was the number of locks (a variety of combinations and keys) which are the “low hanging fruit” of escape room roadblocks. Staff was friendly.
Response: Thank you for exploring the ocean with us, Kris! Looking forward to your next adventure, we'd love to have you play Special: Ops, not too many locks. 😊

Cory Williamson: Awesome staff, awesome games, and all around great experience. We did two in one night and won both. We have now done all the games they offer (2 here, and 2 at a different location) and each of them is above and beyond entertaining. Staff was super helpful and friendly. Call and reserve a game, you won't regret it.
Response: Thank you so much Special Agent Cory! Looking forward to your next adventure with us.

Andrea Surette: This is a brand new escape room in Chinatown and it’s really amazing. I usually don’t like these types of activities but this place is super high end with beautiful rooms, intricate details, and well hidden clues. Highly recommend this place, great for friends and parties.
Response: Thank you, Andrea! We are so glad you had an amazing time and look forward to having you back for your next adventure.

The Escape Game DC (Georgetown): what do users think?

Benjamin Flores: I brought my team here for a Team Building activity, it was great. The atmosphere in the main area was very chill and relax. The chess sets and giant Connect 4 was really cool. The Pirate Adventure was a lot of fun. The whole team had a great time solving the clues and escaping game. I would definitely recommend for team building or just going to have a good time.

Eric Hawkins: Our daughter chose to go to The Escape Game in Georgetown during her Make A Wish trip in June 2022. These guys and gals did an awesome job! We barely noticed that our little girl's favorite band, The Beatles, was playing over the PA when we started our room. It wasn't until we uncovered a clue that unlocked and interior door that we discovered just how far they had gone to make this visit special. The employees had placed a gift bag in the uncovered room behind he door. It was a Beatles bag with several goodies inside. Her favorite piece was the handmade music box that plays "Let it Be." We escaped our room with four clues with about 3:45 remaining; but, our best memory will always be how we were treated by the amazing staff. Thank you!

Diana: The Escape Game was an awesome experience. We entered with a party of 3 and awesomely had the room to ourselves. We chose the Dr Whack room and we had a ton of fun. This really an awesome experience and the staff is exceptional, especially Hyde. She really brought the experience to next level.

Jacob Jackson: We did it!! We escaped the titanic! 5th escape room. Much smaller than what I’ve done in the past but the fit a lot of FUN into a small room. Cool interactive experience, polite game leader, good hints when we needed them. Relatively straight forward, there are one or two things that I’m not sure you’d get without the hints. Nice rest rooms and lockers. Very neat waiting room. Would love to come back and try more. Not a great parking situation, but hey that’s what it’s like being a city slicker huh. Parking? Who’s she? Amirite

Ashleigh McNew: I’ve played all the games except the pirate one and they are all exceptional. Alex was my game guide today and he was top notch! This location is an excellent addition to The Escape Game!

la Au: Such fun. We are from new jersey and this wasy first escape room ans i was able to escape. The staff is great and helpful with the clues when need. Absolutely recommend and will come back on my next trip to Washington dc.👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

Sophia Guo: The rooms were fun and challenging, and the staff was great. Hyde took her time and was thorough in her explanations about each room and with all questions i had asked. It was extremely helpful because it was my friend's and I first time at an escape room so it took us a while to pick a room and she was very patient about it. From her enthusiasm to the cool/thrilling rooms, this made the whole experience fun and exciting. Also, you're not bored while waiting for your turn because the wait room have some board games like connect 4 and chess. Hopefully their bar will open up soon!

Tim K: Team members were very good and friendly. Reception area was huge and great for groups. We took on the Egyptian room with two adults and three kids. We’ve done over 50 rooms throughout the world. We finished the 60 minute room in 40 minutes and really felt let down. It was very ornate, but was really worn out and should be retired. Several key components did not trigger or were so visibly worn so you could tell what others did just by looking at the worn paint or materials. The puzzles they had were far too simple and lacked creativity. This felt like a ‘kit’ room and lacked the true love and attention mom and pop escape rooms put into much better escape rooms. One last note… the walls must be super thin. At one point we could not concentrate based on the yelling from the next room over. For this price, and considering they want you to pay for a guaranteed private room, this was a let down.

Julie F: I took two of my classes here for an end of the year field trip and it was a big hit all around. Ash and Alexis could not have been better and accommodating hosts. Most of the students had never been to a room and their audible screams of surprise were a clear sign of how much fun they had. Ash and Alexis walked everyone through the whole process and our game masters were very helpful as well. The space was perfect for us to have our pizza party and booking could not have been easier with the large group helpline. Thank you 1,000 times over for such a wonderful end to the school year. Most of the students fell asleep on the bus ride back!
Response: Thank you for joining us, Julie! We are so glad the field trip was a big hit and that everyone had so much fun! We look forward to your next adventure.

Emily Becker: My son and I stopped in on a whim and were met by the kindest people ever. They were full that night but helped us book a room for the next night. The room was a blast and our guide, Gregory, was so awesome and helpful. Highly recommend!

Insomnia Escape Room DC: what do users think?

Safiya Parker: A blast! So this is my 3rd visit in the span of 5 years. It was an impulsive activity, we were heading to DC Saturday evening & read the description of the rooms while in the car. We were able to schedule the Alchemist room for 5 people at 915p. Luckily had it all to ourselves or it would've been crowded. Note, you can very much pass the building if not careful as its in a building you have to get buzzed into. I like puzzles and we did escape! So that's always the best feeling. Would recommend and do it again.

Kev- keepingitreal: Great place for entertainment, but this location is hidden away on a side street with a small outdoor sign that is hard to identify. This location has some limited free street parking and a limited paid meter street parking.

Aamiyah Peters: Blake was the best! Very patient, kind and helpful. I had a lot of fun. We played the patient, and it almost got us but we got out with about 20 minutes left. I would recommend for first timers, people who are experienced, and family and friends. Great experience and I would come again. :)

Isaac Moscoso: The mafia room is very high quality and fun! Cleverly put together but extremely linear meaning there are no concurrent puzzles or things that others can focus on while one task is being accomplished which can be counted as a pro or con depending on your preference. We had a good time

Dorothea French: Overall nice. We had to reschedule to The Patient room. The room was good, and fun to do with friends, but not the most immersive I've been in -- a few props were tattered, and it had a feeling of a bunch of things in a room rather than an entire world. However, the inclusion of tech was interesting! It's worth a visit.

Clara Ferrari: Blake was incredible and we had an amazing time! I did a room here 5 years ago and am so happy to have returned, love how they’ve expanded/grown. Would definitely return! Great air conditioning and clean facilities too!

Mason Roberts: Honestly one of the most well thought out and enjoyable rooms my fiance and I have done to date. The customer service was phenomenal as well. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because the website stated $28 per person but we were charged $57. Our fault for not asking why, but that's a really high price for a room

Darius D: It was a good room. But giving 4 stars instead of 5 because some of the items in the room were not working. We lost about 10 min because we were looking for something that didn’t work. Other than the the staff was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating.

Robert Warrington: Did the Mafia Room for a second date, went really well and we escaped which is of course a very important part of wooing someone. Would love to return and try more of the rooms and some of the VR experiences as well. Off street parking was very available and there is quite a bit of food in the area too.

cory carter: This was the worst escape room experience I've ever had (and I've completed several). Poor room monitoring, faulty props, no clock, no 5-10 minute warning....Whoever was on staff 5/21/22 around 6PM is a major liability to this establishment. While expressing our frustration to the game monitor (a different monitor than the one we started with), we found out that there was a shift change while we were playing so the room was basically left unattended. They knew what they did (or didn't do) and we also pointed out the defects within the room. They honestly didn't care. Seriously...go anywhere else but here. To start, our room (the mafia) was not properly reset between our group and the last group. As is the case with any room, finishing requires the room is properly arranged and that the instruments in the room actually work ...they did not (i.e. cash register was out of ink and the lock next to it was stuck). Fair enough...things break down; I get that. But when things aren't working as required, the staff is supposed to be on hand to help....they weren't.... We waived our hands to asked for help and it took well over 15 minutes for someone to respond. When they finally did respond, we discovered that our math was spot on but the lock was stuck. They literally asked us (midgame) to confirm our math with our cell phones since the adding machine they provided (as a major prop within the room) was broken...Resolving that issue alone wasted 25% of our time. No cool....

The Great Escape Room DC: what do users think?

Christina Harris: We had a lot of fun here. We came in a group of 5 and joined 8 other people. We signed a waiver and got started. Keith explained the game well and was very helpful during the game. We aren't able to solve the clues and escape--it was pretty difficult and we did the medium level, Sherlock's library. We definitely needed to start with a strategy but everyone ran around randomly looking for clues and waited too long to use the hints. Hints were hidden very well here and deduction is needed to solve them once they are found. Go with people who think logically

C Jacob: Awesome activity. Went with a group of 12 people and it was a blast. In the basement of stores and apartments in D.C., it set the tone right from the beginning. The employees were polite and welcoming. After getting our room, we were told only about 30% of groups pass this room. The Red room is harder. I managed to sneak some pictures despite cell phones are not being allowed. I didn't reveal anything in the pictures so no spoiler alerts needed. We struggle and was two clues away from solving it but needless to say we gave it our all and had fun doing it.

Dharanidharan Subramaniam: It was a last minute plane to go to escape room and have some fun as a family. We did the “Game Room” option and even though we couldn’t finish we loved it. It was fun solving puzzles and hunting clues. The folks who run the place are friendly and very helpful. Would love to go back here and solve other rooms. If you are looking for some fun as a family or friends this is a great place to try.

Sumedh Raina: Went for a bachelor party. The Sherlock room was so bad/boring. Waste of money. Don’t recommend.

CB DCDiva: Fabulous fun and entertaining! Great for work or friends! Very different! Loads of fun for all.

Andrea Conway: This place was very fun. The building was a little difficult to see from my vehicle in normal traffic. It was also a bit confusing to figure out how to get inside once we arrived. They share a building with multiple other businesses. Luckily, an employee arrived as I did and politely welcomed me in. Otherwise, expect to ring the doorbell and have someone buzz you in and direct you downstairs to sign waivers. The staff was welcoming and accommodating. There is a small sitting area to gather while you wait for the members of your party. Being prompt is key, and by that be a few minutes early. The building has lots of stairs, so be prepared to walk if you choose an upstairs adventure. Knowing what I know now, if you get winded easily, I would ask what floor the room is on prior to booking. The challenge levels are accurate so choose your room wisely. I will definitely go back, and take more friends!

Krista Hull: Full disclosure: I’m an escape room enthusiast, designer, & owner from another state. I love to play all sorts of rooms and I’m cool with variety among venues. I don’t think everything has to be high tech or glossy to be awesome. The venue itself is somewhat of a maze. We were frazzled getting started because we ended up at the top of a bunch of flights of stairs instead of in the basement with the lobby is. It’s not very well marked. This escape room is very heavily weighted toward finding stuff, more than solving puzzles. (Which by the way they do make clear on the website.) There is very little to actually unlock. One of the puzzles requires 21 pieces to be found, all in separate locations. Some people love a search, but I found it to be frustrating eventually. (On the other side of the coin, we played another room in town this week and there was hardly anything in the room. That was frustrating in the opposite way. I guess if I had to choose, I do prefer having more stuff to look at and touch! So this place gets points for that!) When it was time to actually do the solving, there were a lot of puns and math. We never would’ve solved the puns without the “lifelines” provided. I happen to be fond of math but I know from experience that 99% of people would’ve never have been able to solve the math problem of one particular path, which required outside knowledge of several science and math concepts at once! The game master sat in the room with us, which was sort of awkward. That was a first for me. Another review I read said that it was like playing an escape room which your friend designed in his basement & watches you play from a corner in the room ... and that is spot on! Our guy seemed sort of smug, apparently just browsing his phone while we scurried around the room. He wasn’t rude, he just wasn’t exactly friendly. They sell this room for up to 15 people but I’m begging you not to play with that many. I’ve never had a good escape room experience for more than 10 people at once. For our game we just had two players, which is really too few for the amount of work to be done. We knew that going into the game so that was fine. I would think 4 to 6 players would be ideal. There were a few interesting puzzles in the room. We did enjoy the thrill of finding things (for awhile). The design and theme are pretty cute and a couple of puzzles are clever. At times it was really fun, and other times just frustrating. It looks as though this game has been played a while. As others have noted, it might be time for a refresh.

Faith McNeill: The Great Escape Room was an awesome experience. Took a group of ~20 young adults ages 17-24, and they absolutely loved it. It was great that the rooms were large enough to accommodate our entire group plus 5 staff. Everyone was able to engage with the ultimate task of escaping the room making this a great team building experience for our program. We will definitely visit again!
Response: Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review. We're thrilled that you and your students had such a fun and rewarding experience, and we hope to see you back in the future! -Tessa (General Manager, The Great Escape Room DC)

Craig Thackray: We went as a very small group, and we had a blast. They went out of their way to change the skill levels. The puzzles were varied, and fun. Will definitely go back. If post photos if I weren't in all of them

Michele Barone: SO MUCH FUN!! We did the Sherlock Holmes Room. It was pretty challenging but a lot of fun. When needed you can ask for clues. You definitely need to work together to solve. We escaped with 43 seconds left. We went for an adult birthday celebration. There were three of us and we had the whole room to ourselves.. Nice that they do it for small groups even as small as ours.

Escape the Room DC (Midtown / Golden Triangle): what do users think?

Bridget Hamilton: Thank you to Jalou (I’m so sorry if that isn’t your name or I’ve spelled it wrong!) and our other game guide for our wonderful trip! This was an absolute blast and the fact that my friends and I solved it with 9 minutes to spare really made us feel like we’re smart lol the props and sets look amazing and I’m so glad we chose this place!

TheReal Deonna: Definitely fun with friends, the staff was so kind, very friendly and kept us informed the whole time! The Bank heist was so fun.

Madison Littlepage: We did the Submarine and really enjoyed it. Combined classic escape room puzzles with virtual reality technology. The VR technology is very cool but slightly slow and can be frustrating with the time crunch. Overall fun room!

G C: We did the Bank Heist and enjoyed the room. However, the game master did a poor job. There was a certain item that required an explanation on how to use that was completely independent of the clues. That should have been covered by the gamemaster in the beginning. Secondly, the game master provided hints when not needed, but was unresponsive when we actually asked for a hint. Finally, there was an item the needed to be reset between use attempts, but that was not explained until multiple attempts failed. I've done multiple escape rooms...I give the room 5 stars on design, but 2 stars for the gamemaster participation. I'm not sure if that is based on rules the gamemaster was under, training/lack of training, etc... Regardless, it caused frustration and degraded the experience.

Cole Bienes: Lots of fun with friends, and the curator was fantastic! A true 5/5

Marshawn Kalfus: Had a wonderful time. For my first time at an escape room.

Monique Edwards: Great fun for the whole family!

Lance Counts: One of the most fun times of my life

Daniel Mark: Very fun, staff is incredibly friendly!

Craig S: Great Place! We had a blast!

Escape Room Live Alexandria: what do users think?

Hannah Perovich: Joey (Manager) was absolutely amazing. We had only one day and we wanted to try all 4 rooms. He helped make that happen. All the rooms were very well done. We've done over 60 rooms and these are some of the best for immersion. All the staff we encountered were super friendly. We will definitely be back! Thanks for a great day!

Stacy Patterson - Northrop: Great room with fun puzzles and good details. Only request is that the room have some sort of introduction or story. Our group actually solved the room but didn't realize it because we weren't told what the end goal was! We were waiting for the door to open but really we just needed to find the name of a suspect. Still a good time.

Heewon Choi: This place was so much fun! Our team literally screamed cause when we figured out some of the hints. The owner/staff was so friendly and nice. Would definitely come again!

Erica Ariel: Autumn was an amazing facilitator for the Sherlock Holmes room. It was a bit more challenging than we expected, but we ended up with great other participants and we escaped with one minute and 28 seconds left! We will definitely be back!

Tina Coleman: Quinton was absolutely amazing, he was extremely thorough explaining then room and would check in on us when we were stumped. I would totally go back to go in all of the other rooms. He is awesome and makes the experience so much fun!!

Emma Augustine: My friend and I did the Poe room together and it was incredible. It was my first escape room and I was blown away by the experience! It was atmospheric and challenging and incredibly fun - we will absolutely be back.

Greg Mestre: The staff was great, made us feel welcome and got us pumped to try an escape room for the first time. The Titanic room is harder than it's rated! Definitely good times!
Response: Hi, G, thank you for this review! The Titanic room is at The Escape Game Georgetown, but we're so glad you had a great experience with them!

Shane McKibben: First time doing an escape room and had a great time! Autumn was super helpful and had a great sense of humor. Definitely recommended!

Ömer’in Maceraları: Very authentic. Nice staff.

Daisy Anderson: Omg! Took my husband here for Father's Day and we had a blast!!! Everyone was so awesome especially JP who checked us in and explained the game to us!!! Thank you Escape Room we can't wait to come again!!!

Bond's Escape Room - Fairfax: what do users think?

Carolyn F. Hillyard: Well done, Mollys Haunted room was intense but thanks to Taylor we were able to escape. I got to practice my jokes and he was an awesome storyteller. Really helped navigate the experience and time! We all feel super sophisticated after the challenge! 100% pulls your mind away from any drama or work stress you might have!!! Thanks Taylor and Team!!!

Dawn Conrad: The whole vibe at Bond's is colorful, fun, and so cool! Our family had a blast in the Joker's Trap room! It was gratifying to solve all the puzzles & "escape," even though we didn't do so in the hour allotted. We appreciated the extra time we were given to finish since we were so close! Everyone was able to contribute & we had so much fun together! We intend to return to do a different room.

Kelly Mine: What a great time! I took my graduating students to Bond's in Fairfax to celebrate the end of the school year. We did the 1960's History of the Future puzzle, and had great fun working together and actually made it out. It was challenging and fun! Thanks so much to Alex S. for being an awesome host.

Gail Suwarna: Ethan was a fun game manger and the voice Zack made for our game (sleepover slaughterhouse) fit the scene and created a creepy feeling. Loved the puzzles and thought the room was super fun!!! Sleepover slaughterhouse is super recommended and a must try! Not recommended for people who are easily frightened though

R Lin: We love a good escape room! Bond’s is a really fun place, and if you wonder if it’s a haunted house upon first seeing the outside then you’ve find the right spot. Seriously, especially at night this place is all lit up and spooky. But inside there’s also a lot going on. They have a lot of rooms to pick from and are by far the most affordable without paying super high prices in the city (DC). We did a presidential themed room and it was so fun! It also felt considerably appropriate with being so close to the nations capital. I will say it seemed the room was a little beaten up and there was a lot of unneeded space. We were in the biggest room apparently but I don’t feel like they took advantage of the space. But either way we really enjoyed it! All of the clues made sense and our game master Alex S. was a hoot! Would definitely come back again!

Stacey Turner (Voice Over): We hosted our child's birthday at the Escape Room in Fairfax. It was a unique and enjoyable experience. As recommended by the staff, we selected the Joker experience for the kids. They had a fantastic time -- they talked about the experience all during lunch and my son went on about it all the way home. None of the kids had ever done an escape room experience before, so the novelty was a plus. They said the clues were challenging but not so tough that they got frustrated and wanted to give up. The party room was immaculately clean. They had some decorations in the room, but we brought a few more items to personalize it. The pizza, cups, plates and utensils were included in the package. We just had to bring a cake. The location was very convenient for us - only about 15 minutes from our house. It was great not having to schlep 30 minutes or more to a sports complex or a bouncy house/trampoline facility that I'd been to numerous times through the years. My son asked to do it again and my husband was to try it as well.

Angela R Vela: Are you thinking of visiting Bond’s Escape Room? I was there today for a birthday party and had a blast. I give them 5/5 stars. Let me explain why. The rooms are beautifully crafted and reflect the themes perfectly. It was reasonably priced for a birthday party. The host took good quality photos and the attendants for each room were helpful, giving us hints. The space is nice and clean and the rooms are reset each time. The atmosphere is relaxed and the introduction videos explain the directions very well. There are wall signs that describe some of the different escape rooms, such as Molly’s Horror Room, Jail Bus, Joker’s Trap, Save the White House. The lobby is comfortable with lounge chairs and bathrooms. Everything is functional and the rooms are very engaging. An Escape Room is a fun thing to do with your friends and a great way to strengthen relationships because you have to work together to get out. This activity is good for all ages and all different groups. Parents can pick out the level for kids, kids can pick out a level or adults can choose for themselves. Bond’s is an amazing experience all around and if you’re looking for an Escape Room, this is the place to go.

Rachel Thee: Been here multiple times. The staff are great, the rooms are fun. We've done 3 of their rooms, and absolutely will come back to do more. They do more than the standard "Lock and Key" puzzles, there are cool mechanisms in many of the rooms where if you put in the correct code on one side of the room, a door or lock will open up on the other side of the room. They really try to bring the rooms to life. The staff are super friendly and helpful. I've been to a couple other escape rooms in the area, and this is by far our favorite.

Benswing Rich (Ben Rich - Electric Biker): Had a great time escaping from the AI 2233 room! Interesting clues, good hints from the game master (Sara-awesome!), and nice variety of actions to solve the room(s). Will be back for more!

Lena Shepard: We went here for my sisters birthday and we had a blast. We did the Jokers Trap. We had so much fun and the room was set up very nicely. Andrew was “the bomb” (pun intended). We will definitely be back to escape more rooms. Would highly recommend.

Cyber Raccoon Escape Room Fairfax DC: what do users think?

Alexander Martin: What a fantastic escape room! My family and I have done a number of escape rooms (we're in the double digits at this point:), both in the DC/NOVA area and elsewhere along the east coast. This experience was one of the best ones we've had!!! The room was extremely well done and immersive (including attention to small details) -- we really felt like we were in an old west saloon! The puzzles were well crafted and incorporated into the room without being overtly obvious, the storyline was interesting, the facility was clean, and even the training video was entertaining!!! What more could you ask for! I just can't wait until they open up their newest room, since we'll definitely be back to try that one out as well. Don't miss out on this one!
Response: Thank you so much for taking time and posting your recommendation!

Drew Owen, Magic and Music: If you are looking for a fun way to spend an hour with a small group of family or friends, I highly recommend Cyber Raccoon Escape Room! I went there a few days ago with my wife and 20 year old daughter and had a blast. My daughter had done a few escape rooms but this was the first one for my wife and me. We found it easy to schedule and pay online and we got very clear and helpful instructions before starting the game. A huge amount of skill and care went into designing the room. As we solved each puzzle, we were rewarded with a secret door or drawer that would spring open, revealing clues we needed for the next puzzle. We thoroughly enjoyed it!
Response: Hi Drew! Thank you for all the good words! We're happy to hear that you loved doing business with us.

Sara Wengrowski: Cyber Raccoon provided, by far, the best escape room I've ever experienced. Every detail, from the waiting area (equipped with coffee, tea, water), the intro video, and the escape room itself, were thought-out. The location is immaculately clean and the staff member (Kat) was super friendly. I couldn't recommend this place more.
Response: Thank you, Sara! Thank you for choosing us!

Мирослава Павлюк: Our group had a great time playing one of the games. Loved the stellar reveals which we didn't see coming. The room had a lot of details and props, which combined with non-linear play make it ideal for a large group. Don't hesitate to book it, you'll have a blast!
Response: Thank you!

Sachin Mohan: Amazing fun and adventure at the “train robbery” escape room. We were group of 9 with children (and newbies to escape room concept), everyone had a absolute blast. Game Master “Kate” was wonderful, we all completed the mission and everyone had memorable evening!
Response: Thank you, Sachin! Hope to see you back soon!

A Man: We had a great time! Our proctor was "Kat" who checked us in and was great. She helped us get set up and we were off trying to solve the series of mysteries/problems in order to escape. I don't want to spoil the actual experience but let me say it was truly fun! Our group consisted of me, my wife, our two kids (7 and 13), and my brother. The riddles/puzzles were challenging but not too challenging. The room is very well done and looks great. Everyone in our group contributed to solving the challenges, so its fun for all. With that said, I would say if you bring a child with you under 7 or 8 make sure that they enjoy reading and solving problems. You have one hour to complete the challenges and "escape", we ran a little over to complete the challenges and escape. Since we were close to completing at the end of the hour, Kat was nice to let us stay a couple of minutes over to complete it because we were the last group for the night. I wouldn't expect to be allowed to take extra time if there is another group waiting behind you. Overall, a great experience for our family and I highly recommend it! If your looking for a fun way to spend an hour with your family, friends, and/or team, then do it! Cyber Raccoon Escape Room does not disappoint!
Response: Hi Al, thank you for taking the time to leave us such a fantastic review!

Alex Chupryna: We had a great time playing the western room which had such an atmospheric setting that I wished we could throw a party in there. The game has a higher level of difficulty but if you pay attention to the clues it all comes together nicely. Great place to go with friends and close to Mosaic District, a good area to hang out afterwards.
Response: Thank you, Alex!

Brian Reinoehl: Had a great experience at the Cyber Raccoon Escape Room in Falls Church. The place is professionally run and a lot of thought and talent went o to the design of the room. Our party of 5 hope they open the second escape room soon because we are looking forward to going back!
Response: Thank you Brian! We are also looking forward to hosting your team again!

Caroline Scheck: I have been to several escape rooms and I have to say this was one of the best. So immersive and well designed! The room was crazy with the layout and it really felt like you walked into a saloon. My favorite part was that all the clues didn't scream "THIS IS A CLUE" like so many other escape rooms. You really had to look and go through the storyline to figure everything out. 10/10 would recommend.
Response: Thank you, Caroline!

B C: Kat was an excellent game master. By far the best escape room our group has done to date. Great theming and puzzles, and no padlocks! The puzzles were well designed and lots of mechanical interactions. Can't wait for the next one.
Response: Thank you, B C!

Escape Quest: what do users think?

Chris Pelczar: I experienced 3 rooms here: Lost Temple, is the funnest room, but for someone with a lot of escape room experience, It was a little too easy. It would be perfect for first timers and definitely great for younger kids (birthday party). Kings Ransom was OK, nothing extra special, a few fun puzzles. The Black Widow, is the best room, with fun unique puzzles and good difficulty level. Definitely not good for young kids, my 11 and 9 year old found it scary. I was told there was ample parking available… there is zero designated parking for this place, I ended up driving around on 1-way streets looking for street parking, which took 30 minutes. Overall it was a fun experience, I did do some pretty amazing escape rooms in Seoul, Korea…so my standards might be a little high.

Jeremy Manning: So much fun. We did the Black Widow room with one hint and had quite a bit of time left. It was well put together and the clues were reasonably difficult without being unrelated to the quests or unintuitive. Employees were very kind and fun. Highly recommend.

Mike Bradt: Escape Quest was a blast. We definitely liked how it was private. Every room they offer is a private booking! The lobby area is super cool and already gets you into the mindset of the game. Staff was friendly and welcoming, even at 10pm on a Saturday. Rooms were clean and organized and easy to get comfortable in. Also felt very safe with full monitoring the entire 60 minutes, they were quick to offer us hints when we asked. I was surprised they kept up with our antics the entire way. The game itself was a BLAST. We did The Black Widow and it was so much fun and such a cool story. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be coming back with more friends!

Lyla Burnor: This was my first time participating in an escape room. I went with family, which included 3 kids (tweens and 1 teen). We had an absolute blast! The room was challenging without feeling defeating. And the support team was fantastic, right there if we needed something (a hint please!). Can't wait to do another one!

Mike Linegang: Great family activity! This was our first experience with an escape room and we had a blast. We did The Lost Temple. It was perfect for our 12 and 14 year olds and my wife and I. Challenging but not too challenging. Our 7 year old gets scared easily, and he found it to be a little spooky, but he still had fun and there were plenty of puzzles that he was able to help with. But it was definitely above his level to be able to solve the puzzles on his own. The room has a TV monitor with a 60 minute timer. If you get stuck on a puzzle, they do a good job feeding you hints and clues through the TV to keep you moving through the challenges. We managed to escape with just a few minutes left on the clock!

Scott Frauenknecht: Fun experience, very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms were well themed and had some entertaining puzzles. It was a bit on the easier side and maybe not worth the price listed, but still a good time

Amber Benitez: Loss temple was fun! A lot of locks to find codes for. It was actually more challenging than I was expecting and that made it better. Everyone was nice and I’ll definitely go back and try another room for sure!

Maya Bryant: Amazing staff!Very fun and challenging escape room. Great to do for couples and friends.

Maria Victoria: So much fun! The set up was awesome. The employee was great and very helpful. With just the two of us in King's Ransom it was tough getting done in 60 minutes. We needed some hints. Ideally four ppl would have been better.

Daniel Sullivan: My wife and I had a phenomenal time at Escape Quest after receiving a gift card from family. The staff was very nice. The problem we solved was challenging but fun and the staff kept the game from stalling out with appropriate hints. All in all, would go again.

Big Escape Rooms: what do users think?

Treva Smith: This was a great experience!! I took my daughter, a few of her friends and my family for her birthday. We did soooo poorly🤣🤣🤣 I picked too hard of a escape room. Maurice our clue assistant was fabulous. He saw us struggling. He was a awesome help to us. We were lost.🤣🤣🤣 But Maurice came to the rescue!! Thanks Maurice for your professionalism, grace and help!! We will be back!!

Ryan Geldermann: By far the worst experience I’ve ever had at an escape room, and I’ve done at least 20. From the get go it was terrible. The guy we spoke to on the phone to book the room sounded like he was from a call center in India and hated his life. We booked two rooms and both of them had multiple broken or malfunctioning components that made it impossible to escape or solve some of the puzzles. The kid who greeted us also seemed like he hated his job and didn’t want to be there. He did not keep track of our progress like ever other escape room ever does (they watch on the cameras so they can help if you get stuck). Every other escape room I’ve been to the host has put an emphasis on creating excitement. This guy barely said anything to us, clicked play on a video, then let us in the rooms and went back to his phone. The rooms were also in terrible shape. If I could rate zero stars I would. Pretty sure the good reviews are fake. Do yourself a favor and look at all the one star reviews and how similar the negative feedback is… those reviews are the truth.

Derrick Snowden: We had a blast. We took a group of ten year old girls for our daughters birthday. They really impressed us with their creativity in trying to figure out the clues. The staff was great especially Maurice, and the girls loved the experience. We’ll be back.
Response: Thanks for your kind words, Derrick!

Michael Appiah: 10/10 Very engaging and fun experience. Go with your family or your friends, it’ll be fun regardless. We didn’t manage to complete the clown room but I’ll definitely come back to try this room and all of the other ones.

Maedot Kiros: My 2 cousins, brother, my mom and I went for my birthday. We chose the Pharaoh one, it was difficult at first but we managed to escape right before the 1 minute left mark. With great help from me of course. We were given a lot of help and although we couldn’t hear some directions clearly, Maurice repeated them every time. So big thanks to him!! A lot of screaming and serotonin, but I would 100% recommend.

Chardonnay Crawley: I had a great time!!! Can’t wait to come back but that room was hard af! 😂😂😂😂. Probably will be back like next week!

Haotian Wang: Be careful people! This place steal money and they have the worst phone-service ever. I made an appointment on the phone the other day, it rang 2min before someone picked up. The person sounds very aggressive, and to make an appointment, she asked me for name, credit card info, and even billing address. I felt very uncomfortable and refused to give my billing address, she made the appointment for me anyway. 15min later, something came up, my friends and I decided to change the time of the appointment, and I quickly found out that they charge $30 for doing that. I thought that was ridiculous, and I asked if there's fee for cancellation, the phone service person said no, so I cancelled. A few days later, the Bigescape Room refused to give me refund and they said that's their stupid policy. I said someone from Big Escape Room told me that there's no fee for cancellation, but from that point on, they stopped replying me. So, if anyone is going to this place, please be extra extra careful, DON'T MAKE APPOINTMENT ON THE PHONE! Because the person answering your call can't represent this stupid escape room company!

Sherdina Fletcher: I went with friends for her birthday weekend. We did the outbreak room. It was very challenging but fun. We didn’t make it out to part 2. But we are coming back to book that room to try it again.

Tzvi Atkin: We had a great time in the basketball escape room! Miles was wonderful and gave us great clues to get out. Clues were smart but not too hard to figure out like some escape rooms!

Sydney West: I’ve had a very unfortunate and disappointing experience with Big Escape Rooms. They are extremely unaccommodating and seem to only care about money instead of positive relationships with those who want to support their business. I bought tickets for a room as a gift to my mother for Mother’s Day. The evening before our scheduled room one in my party tested positive for Covid. I called as soon as they opened the morning of our booking and explained The situation. I didn’t have time to give them 24th notice. Whoever I spoke with on the phone was extremely rude and dismissive and demanded that I pay $30 to reschedule or just lose all of the money I spent… to which I asked if there was any way they could help us out and let us reschedule without paying so much money since it was under the unforgiving circumstances of Covid. I was then directed me to email the manager, which I did, and she has been extremely unhelpful and very rude via email. I will eat the $65 that I spent because I will not spend $30 to reschedule a room that they claim could have been filled, but when I checked that day there were multiple openings. I will not be using this business in the future there are plenty other businesses that will be more patient, understanding, helpful and willing to help people out in order to create positive relationships for the future.

Bond's Escape Room - Arlington: what do users think?

Xuanyu chen: This is the best escape room I have ever been! I will give the sleepover slaughterhouse 10 out of 5!! It is way beyond my expectation. The staffs there were super friendly and patient! Especially the butcher Zachary, he is the best staff ever from so many escape rooms I have been. He love his job and make us feel super fun to play. My other friends are first time here and they also love the room and Zachary!

Trang Nguyen: My son and I did the new escape room experience Art Attack where escape room meets spatter paint. We did ask for a clue once and had a functional issue but thanks to Molly, the overall experience was seamless creative and super fun. We did expect more things to solve once you got into the third room so there is definitely much more room for improvement and expansions in this escape room. I loved how creative the puzzles were. My son loved loved loved the splatter painting and getting to bring home our works of art. Molly helped us get the canvases packed up and even offered to take photos of us and our artwork. This is an absolute perfect experience for kids and if there was more were built into the room, it could be even more exciting for adults. I’d say the difficulty level is a solid 2. Overall experience a 4, but could easily be a 5 if there were more built into it or the puzzles were just a wee bit more difficult.

Lauren Firestone: We came to Bonds Escape Room for Mother’s Day and we did the Art Attack room. It was so much fun. It’s a two part room. First you do the escape and then you can paint on a canvas or each other. We left completely covered in paint. We’ve done a lot of Bond’s Escape rooms but this was by far our favorite. Our assistant was Andrew and he was great too. He gave us clues that helped us get to the answer without giving it all away. Thank you for making this a Mother’s Day I will never forget!

Debbie: Me, my brother, and my two friends did the Sleepover Slaughterhouse. It was a horror escape room and it was awesome! Our helper was named Andrew, and he was so nice and funny. He was very helpful and gave up good clues. The escape room was scary, I was literally shaking! 😅 Although, I do get scared VERY easily. Overall, it was a great experience. Thank you once again Andrew. 😃

T. Corbett: Me and my group played the dual rooms Elven Forest and Enchanted Castle. We really enjoyed them and with those, we’ve now played every room they’ve had besides Art Attack. Andrew was kind enough to give us some suggestions and even talked to us about how some of the puzzles are planned and created for rooms. Definitely the best experience so far!

Steven Tang: This is a fantastic place to do escape rooms! We did 3 different rooms (Death by Chocolate, Sleepover Slaughterhouse, and Elven forest) and we enjoyed all of them! I will say, even though Elven Forest and Death by Chocolate are the same difficulty, Death By Chocolate is by far more difficult. I want to give a shout out to Nora and Andrew who were great for our first two experiences here. They showed us that the staff is extremely friendly! But I definitely want to give a very specific shout out to "The Butcher" for Sleepover Slaughterhouse. He was committed to the role and really adds to the experience!!

Mel: Zachary was amazing, we had a great experience and found extremely helpful advice when we needed it! We found the escape room itself to be extremely engaging and difficult enough to get us really thinking! Would recommend to anyone looking for a fun and challenging experience for friends and for family! However Zachary really made the experience much more enjoyable!

Ailsa Hernande: Such a great place and so many options! I had my birthday party here with a few friends back in November and we had such a great time. It was our first time so the staff and Andrew were very helpful and patient with us. I definitely like all the different themes and options. I will surely come back and maybe not pick the hardest level for our first time.

Jenai: Molly and Zachary were really great help throught the entire room. My group definitely needed a lot of help 🤦🏽‍♀️. We did the slaughterhouse and it was a very fun spooky filled hour. As we desperately tried to solve the multiple room puzzles. Definitely can't wait to go back and try again!

Jonathan Durbin: Visiting DC seeing family & we played the Saddlewood Saloon game with 4 people. Molly was great explaining everything and giving hints when needed. I'd definitely recommend this place. Good location, within walking distance of many restaurants. Games are harder than they're ranked, I'd recommend the staff re-rank and update website. Other than that, no complaints. Molly is the GOAT give her a raise!

Escape Room Herndon: what do users think?

S Gomez: Each room has a different theme and puzzles that you will need to solve. The rooms are based on a difficulty level where 10 is the most difficult. You will need to make a reservation online. Tip: make it for just 2 people because you can add more once you get to the place. If you need to cancel your reservation you will loose whatever money you reserved with, 2 being the minimum. This was a lot of fun and anyone who enjoys "mind" puzzles will enjoy the escape rooms. This particular business has wonderfully decorated setups and puzzles. Each very unique. The doors are never locked so you can leave if you need to and everything is monitored with microphones and cameras. The whole business is very clean and organized. The workers are wonderful. It might be a little tight in some spots but it's handicap accessible. Have fun Escaping!
Response: Thank you so much for the great review. You nailed it on all fronts! We're happy to hear you had a great time and look forward to hosting you again in the future!

Rachael Dutko: I had an amazing time on a date with my husband here! It was the first time just the two of us did an escape room together and we had a blast. The staff was incredibly friendly, the decorations in the lounge were great, and the room design was exceptionally done. As an employee at another escape room, I'm usually aware of most of the tricks and what to expect; however the 8-bit escape room kept throwing fun surprise after surprise that we never expected and made us giggle with joy. I would highly recommend this place; totally worth every penny!
Response: Rachel, we are happy to hear you and your husband had such a fun date with us. We love that your a part of the escape room family, we are all a big community! We hope you will join us again soon for more games!

Heather Weaver: Absolutely amazing!! Highly recommend. My son and I went just the two of us for the 8Bit room and we had an incredible time! So. Much. Fun! We can’t wait to go back with the whole family!! The staff was so friendly and we felt very comfortable. The decor, the vibes of the whole place, just awesome!! I literally can’t say enough good things!
Response: That's awesome to hear Heather. We are so happy you and your son had a fun time together in 8-Bit Escape! We look forward to hosting you and your family again soon for another adventure!

Jared M: Absolutely a great escape room experience for the family. There were 5 of us that did the 8-Bit Escape and we successfully got out with a bit of time to spare. The room was fully decorated in 80s memorabilia and kept reminding me of my childhood the entire time playing. The majority of the locks in the room were letters or number combinations, but there were several "trapdoor" style things that made it very exciting and surprising. The staff was very friendly and helpful throughout the entire experience. This was one of my favorite escape rooms I have done, and I will definitely be returning to try one of the other rooms. Highly recommend!
Response: We're happy to hear you and your family had a great time in 8-BIT Escape. We wanted to give players a chance to relive the 80s the way they may remember it and share it with those who've only heard about those days. We're happy the 80s vibe resonated with you and look forward to hosting you and your family again soon!

Patti Rapier: This is a really fun escape room venue! We have been to several locations and really liked this place. The lobby decorations and overall vibe are really great. The staff was very friendly. You don't have to do the room with strangers you can book it for your number of participants. The game rooms were well staged. We enjoyed our visit and we be back to try another room.
Response: Thank you Patti! We're happy to hear you had a great time. All of our games are private now, even if it's just two players. We look forward to hosting you again soon!

Morgan Napier: This was such an amazing experience! The staff was wonderful and got us all situated, helped us to pick a room, and were engaged in the back story before we entered our room. The detail that they put into the rooms is incredible! I have no idea how they do it and still manage to come up with new rooms that are just as detail oriented. I also love that you get the pin for the room you completed if you escape. I have done several escape rooms throughout the DMV, and this is the first one that actually gives you something to show off that you made it out. This was a great team building experience and I will definitely return any time I am in the area
Response: Morgan, we are so happy to hear that you and the team had a great time! It means a lot to us coming from a group that also specializes in great experiences. It takes us some time to plan each new room so we make sure to fill it with as much fun tiny detail as we can. Our next room (Opening Summer 2023) is already in planning. Also, make sure to keep your pins! Once you have collected 4 pins you get our coveted Golden Escapee McEscapeface Pin! We look forward to hosting your team again soon!

Byron Delmonico: A masterpiece. Everything you want in an escape room. Played all four rooms and we were literally jumping in an aerial high five! 8-bit was our favorite, but every room has magical moments, great puzzles, logical stories and flow. Five stars all around. Fantastic staff and a great location with parking and lots of food options.
Response: Byron, it was our pleasure to have you and the team play our games. Your crew was fantastic and a fun to watch as they worked together through all the rooms. Thank you for the kind words, it really means alot coming from a team like yours!

Hadrian Hernandez: Wow! What a great experience! I honestly thought this might be a lame idea, but my son wanted to try it out. Boy am I glad I listened to him. We had so much fun and the time flew by. Our time together solving puzzles and collaborating on tasks was priceless. We did the Pirate themed room and will do all the rooms in the near future. What a blast! Our host Arwa was great and she seemed to enjoy it as much as we did! What a great time.
Response: Sounds like someone might be hooked ;) Tell your son we're greatful! We're happy to hear you enjoyed your first escape room. We hope you and your son will join us again soon for another adventure!

Tyler Chartier: 8-Bit Escape was my favorite theming of any escape room I've been in. So many nostalgic references! Lots of variety in puzzle elements resulted in enough nonlinear steps to keep our group of four busy. The puzzles themselves were somewhat on the easier side, we had to ask for one hint, but the way one element led to another was mind-blowing.
Response: Tyler, we're so happy to hear you had a great time! Love hearing how you enjoyed the puzzles and game flow. We hope you'll join us again soon for another game!

Sar Mo: We have tried only one of the rooms so far as a family (along with a friend). It was supposedly the easiest one, but man...it was HARD! Impossible to crack for several smart people. I'd say it's definitely not for kids. We had fun though.
Response: Thank you Sar for visiting us for a game! I'm happy to hear you and your family had a good time. I wouldn't say the rooms are impossible ;) Everyone does see things differently though and that’s part of the fun because everyone gets involved in the games. The most important thing is to enjoy the journey and we are happy to hear you and your crew had a fun time playing together. I would encourage you to give escape rooms another try. The first game is always the hardest because you are learning how to play. Now that you know what to expect, your next adventure will be even more fun! We hope to see you again soon.

Mission Escape Rooms: what do users think?

Finn Sophter: We did the speakeasy room and it was pretty fun. My only complaint is that I wish there was more light in the room, it was pretty dim. The hint system is good and you get an unlimited amount, our host grace gave good hints, we needed a lot of help on the first step. I would come back in the future

Angela Reider: Great time at Mad Dog’s Speakeasy! Our group of 1 adult & a bunch of 5th graders were able to escape with a few seconds to spare. Our game host Theo was the best! She was patient with the kids and provided helpful hints without giving too much away. Can’t wait to return!

Shawn Brumfield: I took my wife here for a date night. I wasn't sure what to expect; I just wanted to try something new and it sounded kind of fun. We both had a blast trying to piece clues together and figure stuff out. We will definitely be returning.

Alisha: Had a wonderful time with my husband and friends here. The entire time the staff was extremely welcoming . One staff member particularly stood out to me, and that was a sweet girl named Grace. She had the brightest smile and made the entire group laugh.

Silmahb: Booked a room at the Waugh Chapel location for Mad Dog Speakeasy. The kids had a wonderful time. Our host was patient and kind. They had a great time.

Marlene D: Had a great escape room experience here with Grace as our game host! She was so helpful and kind to my group. Highly recommend checking this place out!

Thomas E: Went last Sunday to do Lost Temple with a group of friends. We escaped with 15 seconds left, our clue giver, Brayden, gave us good clues to help us narrowly escape. Cant wait to come back and do Mad Dog or maybe even go to another location!

Jillian: Did mad dogs speakeasy a few months ago with some friends and had a great time. Grace was wonderful with hints and guidance when we got stuck! In the end we escaped!

Kenneth Flynn: Super fun. Had my son's birthday party there, and everyone really enjoyed it. Puzzles can be difficult to complete with a small party, and require everyone to organize to solve in time, but a nice place to have a group outing.

Justine Owens: Our visit was good, my friends and I did temple and Grace was very gracious😄 and let us see the ending even though we had surpassed our time. I’d like to see some new rooms in the future so I’ll be back

Laurel’s House of Horror: what do users think?

ActiveMommy: Laurel's House of Horror has become a Halloween tradition in our house! Every season is an entirely new set up with all of the years most trending themes and even some classic throwbacks. The haunt itself takes about 15 minutes to walk through, maybe 20. There are hands on things and surprises literally around every corner. It's always a great experience.
Response: So glad it's part of your Halloween tradition, too, very grateful to you!

Ramonda Pearl: If I could offer zero stars I would. First off I called at 7:30pm to ask why the slots were from 7pm to the 11pm. I did not get a straight answer. The reason why you ask is because you will likely be in line anywhere from an hour and a half to two hours depending on when you arrive. I got here at 8:30pm and did not get inside until 10:30pm. & guess what once inside there is another line. SMH. It took exactly 25 minutes to walk through the whole thing. A few good scares but definitely not worth the wait in line. The number of tickets they sale per night is ridiculous and made this a painful experience. Second they don’t offer refunds. So think twice before coming. Your feet will be blistering and you will have a bad mood before you even get in the door. The speed pass is just as bad. They send actors through the line about every 45 minutes but it’s hard to enjoy when your feet are hurting from standing in a ridiculously long line and I had on tennis shoes. And why do you need a mini paper ticket if you bought an electronic ticket. It’s way too easy to lose it after waiting in line that long. & if you lose it you are out of luck as they won’t let you in the door. Just don’t come it’s not worth the ordeal to get in the door.
Response: Hi Ramonda: thanks for letting us know. That should not have happened with the tickets. If you did not get to speak with the manager while you were here, please get in touch. You can message us through the website ("Contact us" under "Tickets" in the main menu) and let us know how you prefer to be reached. Hope to hear from you.

devan Beegle: One of our favorites came last October and attended the halfway to Halloween event and loved it. Definitely recommend

Sonna Thomas: This was actually a ton of fun. We did the “Escape the Movies: Cult Classic” escape room followed by the haunted house. The room was actually hard but so much fun and creepy. We managed to use our last life line to escape with only 1 minute left on the clock! They really put a lot of energy and effort into making the escape rooms scary and full of surprises. Afterwards we headed to the haunted house. The set-up/design was awesome. They really made the creepy movie theater even creepier. I generally don’t get scared at haunted houses (and I really wasn’t scared at this one). My friends were petrified though lol. I love how they separated the groups to make it as scary as possible. My group went in alone (4 people only). I saw some reviews saying the line was extremely long. We didn’t experience any line because we went on Nov 5th to beat the crowd thankfully. Overall, I had a really great time though I personally was not scared. There are a few surprises in the haunted house and escape room that I really enjoyed. Kudos to the staff for going all out for this local attraction. Ignore the grumpy reviews. If you need a heart stopping scare then head on over to the local prison in Jessup. That’ll scare ya lol. Tip: try not to bring a bunch of items. The escape room and haunted house can get uncomfortable if you’re carrying a big purse and a heavy coat.
Response: Hi Sonna, thank you so much for this review! So glad your group had a good time. Take care!

Kimberly Henry: I recommend this Escape room over any other in the DMV! The customer service was exceptional! Ask for Brittany, she went above and beyond to make sure they were able to accommodate my party to have the best experience. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

Indigo Halo: I'm sure I would have had a nice time if they ever bothered to open the doors. We were in line at 6:59PM. It's 7:30PM and we're still standing out front waiting to get in. Oh, and it's 47 degrees and it's raining.

Jacy Calhoun: I recommend getting that speed pass because I got there at 8:45 and waited and hour in line with General admission however it was not that bad because they had the scare actors out messing with people in line and even had a guy on the roof throwing goodies to the crowd. The haunt itself was a good 30-40 min walkthrough depending on if you speed walk it or take a more casual stroll through the attraction. It was worth the ticket price for all that was inside there were a lot of different scenes! Great job to the entire cast!
Response: Thanks for taking the time to write a review and give suggestions. It's been a long break with the pandemic, and we're working hard on the new season for September. Apologies for the delay, and thanks for the 5-stars!

V Patel: Had a great time. Always wanted to go to a haunted walkthrough and was not disappointed in the slightest. Worth doing it again. The ghosts were very informative and very helpful during the lights out night when you can see clearly. Don't get me wrong you will get scared or at least find it very enjoyable if your a horror fan. I highly recommend going to anyone who likes this type of attraction.
Response: Very appreciated, thank you for the recommendation and 5 stars!

Lissette Cohen: My friends and I LOVED this experience! We are avid haunted house goers (Halloween Horror Nights, Busch Gardens, etc), and this is our favorite by far. The actors were spectacular and the attention to detail was phenomenal. 10/10 would do the drive from Arlington again.
Response: Likewise, we loved getting this review! 10 out of 10 means a ton. If you come to see us again, please stop in and say hello! Thank you for making the drive, and have a great Halloween.

Shanequa Greene: I’m just trying to figure out if I went to the same haunted house as everyone else leaving reviews. This was literally the WORST haunted house I’ve been to. All of the good spots for characters to pop out at no one was there. We would walk a long period of time before someone even popped out. My group was really appalled and disappointed throughout the entire thing. It was not scary at all. Most times we walked past the characters they just stood there. Didn’t even say “boo” or anything. There’s really only two positive things I can say about this haunted house. One being the speed line. If you do so happen to attend, I would advise doing the speed pass line. It’s $45, but it beats standing in the outrageously long general admission line for $30. The second positive thing I can say about this one is that the props and decorations are of decent quality. Everything else about this one was trash. A waste of $45!
Response: Hello Shanequa, thank you for letting us know, sorry to hear about your experience. If you'd like to tell us more about your visit, we want to hear it -- please contact us through the website (click on "Contact us" under "Tickets" in the main menu). Hope we hear from you!

Escape Room Woodbridge: what do users think?

André Thibodeaux: Overall - quite a fun little spot for a group activity ! Pros: Our game guide was upbeat, fun, and gave a good storyline before going into the Atlantis room. The room was clean and had some decent puzzles - nothing too difficult but still fun. An hour challenge took us 30 minutes, and we were taking our time having fun. Cons: The props did seem a little old and cheap, and as some other reviews stated, the price is a little on the higher end for what you’re getting (for 5 people it was $130 for an hour room). *edit typo

Brad McPherson: This is our second time coming here and we love it. It's the perfect date spot. Very professionally ran and great for us.

r p: This place is filthy! Everything we touched was sticky and they need to invest in a vacuum. Several items in the room were broken to include the door to escape. It kept opening on its own. Don't get me started on the bathroom The scenario was weak too. Only positive was the friendly staff. Won't be back.

Jayda Brown: Not really sure how to feel about this place. The room I was in was kinda dirty and props were old looking . Also smelled weird in the players lounge. I’ve been to Atlantis also a couple months ago and that was okay. I’m not sure what we’re paying 30 dollars for if everything is so old. I will say the girl with the short curly hair who told us the storyline was very kind and pleasant.

Antonia Jackson: Had an excellent time! I can see what people are saying about the rooms but the goal is to complete the task. We will return in the future.

Andrew Cummins: The story for Atlantis was told verbally very quickly in a monotone voice, so we missed a lot of it. Something about Poseidon and Atlas. The room itself was small, and had no background music. The room was somewhat dirty and had decor falling off in multiple places, and or hanging on pushpins in others. Some of the decor was damaged with pieces of it in a few places. Some of the clues were ok, but most felt very cheap (flimsy plastic stuff from a Halloween store). Many of the clues need a repainting job. All that said, we did have fun, but came away thinking it was very "ok"

Vanessa Moore: The host was awesome.. we went in a lil buzzed, even tho we only was granted 4 clues, she got us through....

Bao: Did high rollers room Clue were given without being asked Found a key to suitcase that was already unlocked The last puzzle/objective was already out at the start Out of the many rooms we've done we've never seen a room with so many puzzles not set up properly. We finished sub 30 mins for a 8/10 difficulty room due to bland puzzles and most of them being not set up right.

Brycen Jeric B: This was the first escape room I've been to in VA, third escape room I've done overall. My brother was down here visiting and he loves escape rooms so I figured we'd give this one a try. The staff here was friendly and welcoming. We got there a little earlier than our scheduled time but they let us proceed without having to wait another 15-20 minutes. The available game/escape room was really interesting and was well put together - at first impression, it seemed pretty "cheap" (props and decor) compared to the other 2 escape rooms I've done in other states. This escape room was also the most expensive compared to the other 2 I've done. The main reason why I'm giving this place 2 stars, is that they did not set up the room properly. This resulted in me and my brother finishing the room in 35 minutes - they give you 1 hour to attempt to complete it. Whichever individual that had reset the room prior to us going in had it in a way that had us skip over more than half of the obstacles we needed to overcome, resulting in our "record" time of completing it in 35 minutes. Personally, I was pretty upset over this. Mainly because I was trying to show my brother a good time and because he paid a little over $50 for the both of us, only for the experience to be ruined because it was not set up properly. The individual working that night (seemed to be one of the managers) didn't offer us a refund or anything of the sort, and we were only given the excuse of "That part of the room does that sometimes". I didn't want to ask for one in front of my brother so it would not seem like I wasn't enjoying it, which I was not after this had happened. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt by thinking that it must have been because they had just relocated recently, although the rest of the room was pretty intricate. We won't be coming back to this escape room in the future.
Response: We're really sorry to hear you did not fully enjoy your experience with us. It is important for our guests to have a memorable, positive experience at EscapeRoom Woodbridge. After seeing this review, we have reached out to make things right and are awaiting your reply. Our staff did not realize there was an issue since the group was permitted to continue working through the unsolved puzzles, even after solving the final puzzle. Again, we do apologize for not providing the most positive experience. We pride ourselves on offering a more intimate experience than some of the larger companies and have photos of the room on our website, to keep from misleading anyone about the rooms. Our pricing is in line with similar businesses in the region and unfortunately, as with most small businesses suffering during this unprecedented time, we are not able to lower pricing. We do offer promotions through our social media channels periodically.

Sally Hamilton-White: After speaking with the owner, very pleasant, she explained that the cleaning products used caused a film on surfaces. I really appreciated her calling me directly! Not much service like that anymore. This was my first escape room. Took my bf for his birthday. The young lady Desiree was extremely pleasant!
Response: We're very sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy your experience. We are very thorough in our cleaning and sanitizing process. The residue you mentioned during our phone call is from the staff spraying Lysol and sanitizing spray before and after every single game for everyone's safety. Escape Room Ashburn: what do users think?

Rachel Kassaie: I took my daughter and a few of her friends here for her twelfth birthday. The girls had so much fun! The challenges were at or slightly above their level, so they needed some hints along the way. They escaped with only one minute left and were very proud of themselves. James was a great room master and helped the girls in great ways. We will definitely do this again!

Ashley Tromba: I'm a little disappointed in my first experience with Escape Room Ashburn. We did the Sherlock escape room. It was going well until we got to the part where we needed to use the type writer. To preface this, they said not to touch the typewriter until it makes sense to do so due to the keys sometime getting stuck. Got it. No problem. But when it came time to do so, it just simply didn't function correctly. It was supposed to type out a word and only one letter actually typed onto the paper despite typing the correct letters. I would have expected them to check the ink ribbon on the typewriter as part of making sure the room was set. As a result we just basically were stuck there wasting the last 15 minutes because the typewriter didn't work. The room was super immersive and looked cool but the clues lacked some basic functionality and some number clues required hints to be used because there weren't enough clues to know how to solve them. It was also really hot so recommend short sleeves.
Response: Hi Ashley, my name is Philip and I am the owner at Escape Room a Ashburn. First of all, I truly appreciate the detail you provided in your review as it helps to understand where we can improve. Next, I wanted to offer you my personal email so that you can reach out to me. I would need to know they date and time of your booking so we can get to the heart of this concern. My email is: philip@escaperoomashburn.com. Please know these concerns will be reviewed and addressed immediately. I do hope you will consider joining us again. Kind Regards, -Philip

Isaiah Lamb: Me and some friends did the Elevator, since it was listed as 10/10 difficulty. I really appreciated the idea, and a lot of things were done well, but it overall was not as challenging as we had hoped. The group I was with managed to finish with more than 22 minutes left to spare. We are by no means experts either. In addition, the very last part of the game did not work, so the staff member had to assist us, even though we had done everything correctly and used the right code. It was hard not to feel disappointed about the experience. A lot of good things going, but misses the follow-through a bit.
Response: Hi Isaiah, we do appreciate you taking a few moments to leave a review. We strive to make sure things work correctly so I do apologize for any issue at the ending, we are working to identify the cause and resolve this ASAP. In terms of the difficulty, the room has been a challenge for 99% of players who come through! However, on a very rare occasion, we have a team come through like your team who do AMAZING and while we want it to be a challenge, we end up being super impressed with how well they do (your team included)...so great job!! - Philip, Owner

Aidan Chadha: James was a great escape room master, he gave us good hints and was very funny! Definitely recommend and I look forward to coming back again, jail break was super fun!

Amanda Williams: Had a lot of fun. Got stuck a few times on spots where we wdid everything correctly but it was a mistake on their part (e.g., typewriter gave the wrong answer). Once we said something, they got us fixed up and they were willing to give us time back since it wasn't our fault. Overall very pleased with the experience, however, and will be planning another go.
Response: Thank you Amanda for the 5-star, it means a lot to us!

Aparna Inguva: Celebrated my daughter's birthday with a bunch of her friends. Lauren was very helpful and jail break was the right level of challenge for the group

Irfan Syed: We visited for the first time at this place and we select the difficulty Candy Shop which is 7/10. We had 60 minutes to escape the Candy Shop and we Escaped with 17 minutes on the clock. It was very exciting and the puzzles were for a beginner level. As this was our first time playing an escape room this was an amazing experience. They even gave us a surprise gift after we escaped. This was really fun, it wasn’t too hard and not too easy. The staff was very friendly and explained everything very nicely. 5/5 for this place!
Response: Hi Irfan! We are so glad that you had a great experience not only with our games but the staff! Thank you for the great review. - Escape Room Ashburn Team

Coupon Code: Very fun times will be had! This was my first experience doing an escape room and definitely won't be my last. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, the rooms are challenging but still able to be solved. The game masters can help you out with hints if you get stuck. My friends and I ended up doing bank heist and we finished with 16 seconds left on the clock.
Response: 16 seconds! Stressful indeed! We hope to see you soon in our new elevator room!

Jerry Harding: I had the whole family in town from out of state this weekend (5 adults, 3 children 7-11yrs old) and we went to the Escape Room Ashburn, VA. We did the “Jail Break” room and only made it out with a few minutes left on the clock. What a blast!!!!!! Kids loved it. Great employees and owners. Well worth it by far. “I’ll be back”.

Juliye Wood - Realtor: Took my daughter and some of her friends here for her birthday and they had a blast!

Clue IQ: An Escape Room Experience: what do users think?

Joey Bellafiore: My group and I had never been to an Escape Room before. We picked the Excalibur themed room without any idea of what we were getting into. It turned out to be a great time and we’d be happy to come back again. The room itself was really cool and the puzzles were both challenging and intuitive. Also, Kyle was a great Game Master. Overall highly recommended.

Amanda Kilby: Excalibur was the first escape room experience for everyone in our group of 4. We had a great time! The staff were friendly and helpful and the hints given were just enough to get us going in the right direction again. The room was decorated well and made us feel immersed in the experience and the puzzles were a nice mix of difficulty levels. I'll definitely be back!

Terri NONE: Whole experience was great. Lisa, our "Game Master" was so much fun. She really made the entire experience such a joy. She started out by explaining things and answering our questions. When you entered the room it was like stepping into the fantasy (We had 4 people and did the Excalibur). There was so much to do, each task was challenging and our group throughly enjoyed ourselves. Lisa gave us a few helpful clues that pointed us in the right direction and she did so in a way that was helpful without being too direct. She also stayed in the character of the room. We can't wait to go back and try another room. If you are looking for a fun, entertaining, and challenging time, Clue IQ has everything you are looking for. Come prepared to have a great time!!

Raist Brink-Forrest: Wow. Ive been to a few escape rooms but none as cool and interactive as this one. My cousin and I did Crane Manor for the horror aesthetic and had a blast, although did not know it was multiple rooms and designed more for a larger group. Still, we managed to get only 2 puzzles away from completion so not bad. Awesome experience!

Karen Kunz: Second Clue IQ adventure under our belts. Both were difficult, but not so hard that we felt like banging our heads against a wall. The themes and rooms are very well done, puzzles took some serious though, and had fun all the way to the end. Would definitely recommend Clue IQ for anybody looking for a great adventure! (Would recommend at least 4 people as all are needed, but not more than 8 or the rooms will be too crowded.)

Diane Ellis: We were visiting from Texas to babysit our grandkids. They didn’t have school so we decided to take them to the Clue IQ Escape Room. We needed something that would be fun for a 14 & 6 year old, so we tried the Operation Jingle Bells. We had never done an escape room before. Steve was awesome in explaining it to us and when our 60 minutes were up we all wanted to keep on playing the escape game. We all had a great time, even the 6 year old! The Clue IQ Escape Rooms has hooked us in wanting to keep coming back. This venue is awesome and I’d recommend it for all ages!

Jesse P: I am in a group of four that has attempted every single room in all three Frederick area escape rooms. This company has some of my favorites. We just did Crane Manor, which is a 75 minute game. This is longer than the traditional 60 minute allotted game. This game in particular was awesome. It was huge and lots of puzzles. I definitely recommend a seasoned team doing this room. Excalibur is also a great room. The room is very nicely constructed and the detail to the room is impressive. The staff is always friendly here and I would highly recommend you go here.

Tiberius Jones: My wife and I finished their crane manor room. First time doing an over hour long escape room and was looking forward to it...did not disappoint! Lots of variety with puzzles, awesome set design/ambience, and GM even pulled out a British accent when giving clues or time. Loved it! 10/10 and recommending to all the friends!!

Michelle Johansen: I took my adult kids for some fun and it was a blast. We didn't know where to start but the staff was amazing and you can ask for help all you want. It was all built as realistic as they could ,so at least the Excalibur didn't look cheezy. I can't wait to try again!!! So worth it.

Kurt Wetzel: Lots of challenge and lots of fun! Excellent for a couples/friends group trip. Several different rooms to choose from. We did the Crane Manor. Could have been a little more scary. But, it was a blast!
