Karen Hampton: Just got my new Roman shades installed from the Shade Store in my ktichen and they are truly fabulous (follow up in six months)! My sales associate, Jordanna, assisted me and stayed in communication with me from day one (appreciate that). She also was helpful in selecting an accomodating fabric (shade novice I am). And lastly, my installer, Nicholas, was great. On time, considerate of my home (mask and booties) and went beyond the call of duty to make sure I was pleased. Saving up for maybe another room.

To be honest I did find a couple quotes less than the shade store but the ease of going in a convenient location in dc and their customer service was totally worth paying a little more. But it’s Casey C that makes shopping at the shade store THE BEST! Her delightful energy through the entire process of selection, measuring and ordering always made me smile. When there was an issue with my initial selection after the measurement appointment, she didn’t hesitate to call me to work through some alternate options that wouldn’t get caught on my doorknob. Her attention to detail and patience quoting a few different combinations led to an even better result in the end. When the solar shade and xl blinds came in, it was clear that The Shade Store takes pride in what they do- the materials and construction are nicer and the installation was easier than any other window treatment I’ve installed. They may cost more than the competition, but you definitely get what you pay for in this case. Top notch customer service from Casey and beautiful, well made products both mean that I’ll be back for more!

Jeannine Alter: This company is fantastic. We had our H&D roller blinds installed five years ago, and they are beautiful and have made our apartment lovely. This week, I needed to have two of the blinds removed because we were having new windows installed. I called Mike, the owner of Window Wears, for advice as to how to uninstall the blinds. He was great over the phone and took me through a step-by-step process on how to do it. I had one glitch, however, with a stubborn blind that would not pop out, so he came over to my apartment and did it himself! Margo S: Prompt. Easy. Not intimidating or pressuring. Roslyn is friendly, but all business. She carries a HUGE selection of materials and brands and styles. She is knowledge, but doesn’t tell you what would look good, rather she provides suggestions based on the needs and preferences you give her, and then modifies the suggestions based on your reactions to her initial suggestions, and she tells you if something might not work as well and why, all of which worked well for me. Timely appointments. Installation was quick, and clean. Prices are average.
Margo Warren: The Salesperson Roslyn Ashford was very efficient and very clear on our options. She brought some demos to show how they would look. She was fast and thorough. I got my estimate quickly and better yet the blinds were installed in a little over two weeks. So refreshing after having to wait for nearly every other home improvement.

Luckily, the Budget Blinds team was very responsive to my inquiry to install new blinds in my DC home. The appointment was confirmed and a calendar invite with all the details was kindly sent to me for the scheduled evaluation with Roslyn. I received a reminder the day before our meeting as well, and Roslyn was a joy to work with. She expertly measured all spaces and provided me with a detailed list of materials and finishes. Roslyn made quick work of the job, and we were both on our way less than 30 minutes later. The company sent me a formal written quote the next day, and we immediately knew the prices were very reasonable. We contracted them a day later and manufacturing took exactly three weeks to complete. Eric came to install the new blinds, and I was happily surprised by the quality of materials and magnetic fasteners. He also made quick work of the installs and completed each in just a few minutes. Before I knew it, he was done and I was admiring the craftsmanship and install. I couldn’t be happier! Thanks, Budget Blinds. We’ll certainly use you again.

SARAH LADITKA: We love our new window treatments from the Shade Store in Georgetown! Emily was wonderful to work with from start to finish – she discussed all of the options and helped us find window treatments that work well and look fabulous. Stacy Lemery: Having a West Elm accessible to bus and metro lines is great for residents of the DC area. There is always lots more online, but being able to see the quality of bedding, furniture, etc in person makes a big difference. I have purchased a bed, bedding, hallway shelving, a shoe rack, curtains, candle holders, and other decor from West Elm.
Eric Overton: Staff at this store were basically useless and didn’t seem to know much about the products for sale. Fortunately, I was only there to test a floor model before buying online. Shipping was fast with only two weeks between purchase and delivery. Delivery dudes were both prompt and chill.
Geneva: I was wary of buying from this store based on some of the reviews here; however, after a year of searching for the right sectional, I found the perfect one for me at West Elm. I received good service from the store. The sales person was very clear that my sectional - which I bought in November for a nice discount - would not arrive until early January. As promised, I got calls and emails from the delivery department the second week of January and was able to schedule a date that worked for me. The two delivery guys were amazing - they had to maneuver their big truck down a narrow alley to get to the loading dock. They were professional and efficient and out of my apartment in less than 15 minutes. The sectional is exactly what I wanted and so comfortable.

Yesterday, Kevin and his partner came to do the installation. Wow. I really regretted being so opposed to the project in the beginning. The shutters were installed quickly and with an impressive level of craftsmanship. They’re solid, the joints are perfect and they feel very well made. More importantly they make our house look great, both inside and out. They definitely increase the appeal of the house and no doubt the value as well. I would recommend this team to my friends and family without hesitation.

Carlos Angel-Luciano-Harris: The staff is incredibly helpful and they get you through the checkout pretty quickly. Great sales and great smells. Check them out.

In particular, I wish to thank Carl Dunking who went out of his way to help us. We carried several bags and asked him if it was hard to get a taxi from there. He put all our our bags in a shopping cart, brought it out in the street and stopped a taxi for us. All with a friendly smile. Thank you so much, Mr. Carl Dunkin! (I hope I got your name right.) Sonia Yomari Torres Pagán: We love our roller shades. We got automatic shades for our bedrooms and they are beautiful, material, installation is excellent quality. Since the moment we stepped into the Shade Store, the attention was phenomenal. I would recommend to everyone. Stacey Knight was our designer and she made sure we were happy with the design and the final product. She answer all our questions, made changes and gave us different options for the design.

Elizabeth Davis: This was my first custom curtain experience. We needed functional drapes for a sliding glass door. The Shade Store in-store experts made the process easy, changed quotes quickly and advised me on fabric durability and liners. I went back several times for different fabrics and they worked with me at my own pace. The installer came on time to measure and later install the curtains. He had them up - perfectly installed - in less than 30 minutes! Will use again.

Sassy Sauce: Great discounts on Christmas items as part of the holiday sale. I picked up Christmas stockings for under $5.00. There were fire pits on clearance as well. I like this location and they generally have the items I’m in need of for repairs or decorations, etc. The staff is very helpful as well.
Kev- keepingitreal: This location offers a variety of affordable items for your home improvement needs. I really appreciate the staff in the aisle for assisting me with finding items on my check list. At check out the cashier was welcoming and friendly. This store was very clean and offers plenty of parking.
Jessica Fullington: Today I went to the garden center for some outside plants. Yolanda was so very helpful! She was able to answer my questions, she even went and got me a cart so that it was easier for me to get the items I purchased to my car. It is so refreshing to have people who are pleasant and helpful at their jobs I will definitely come back to this location to get all the plants I need this spring! Marla was very helpful as well along with the young man who answered some of my questions about my plans. All around a wonderful experience!

Muniba Khan: Stopped by from out of town since the weather ended up being a lot colder than expected. We were able to find some winter wear for a reasonable price, although I wish they had a wider selection of warm coats and some gloves for these cold fronts. Everyone that helped us was super great and friendly!
Jacqueline Francis: I went with my daughter to return a sport jacket and to look around for any new items. My daughter met her former coworker who was kind enough to assist with her return. The experience painless and without incident. After the return, we made our to the children department. My daughter wanted to see if there anything new out for babies 18-24 months. There were some times, but nothing much that caught her. My grandson did grab a footsie pajama and my daughter saw a cute pair of sneakers and a tee shirt. Very cute 😍! The checkout rep was very friendly, and he was the manager. Overall, a great experince🙏🙏🙏

Thrifty Fly DIY with Denise Joy: Superb craftsmanship! Excellent customer service and marvelous experience. From start to finish Dao and her team provided a wonderful experience for me and my client. We ordered 3 custom window seat cushions and 3 custom roman shades and they are all amazing. I will definitely be using her services over and over again!

She guided us in how to create the look we were aiming for, helping us to translate our vision to a finished product that works perfectly for the window and the space as a whole. We had older curtains in the library which she expertly adjusted to render more updated. She has made new curtains for my living room and stairway landing. With the landing, she recommended a shear and it has been a great choice as the beauty of the light filtering in has made my days brighter. In the larger bathroom, she has made curtains that remind me of clouds and when the light shines through, the effect is stunning. The design work, the sewing and the installation were impeccable. I really recommend Dao and her team.

Cliodhna MacFadden: We purchased the Element 65” TV, and after 3 days the backlight broke. We tried everything to fix it. Without a box or receipt in hand, we brought it back to see what may be possible to do. Associates TK, Nicole S, and Anton were able to use the debit card used to purchase to look up my receipt to get our return sorted. We so appreciate them going truly above and beyond to show us their compassion and excellent customer service.

Sassy Sauce: I missed all of the after Christmas saw items. This location had a few products left over from Christmas but nothing I really wanted. Overall the store was neat and organized. I didn’t need any additional items for this trip, just preparing for next years holiday decorations.
Chaturbhuj bhojwani: Great shops for home goods, this is very big shop i have been going that HomeDepot for many years i was there very first day when they opened, biggest problem is coustmer service is very bad here i stud for help for more than 20 minutes before someone showed up.
Kev- keepingitreal: This Home Depot is very convenient if you’re in the Rhode Island/Brentwood NE DC Area. They offer a verity of products that can help you with your Lawn, Garden, Appliances, Painting, Outdoor Patio, Home Improvement, Cleaning Products, Tools/Equipment Rentals and many many more. I really Appreciate the help from a young male staff who was working in the Garden/Mulch area, he was very Helpful and Knowledgeable with assisting me with the products along with a young female cashier on the inside of the store. Now you can never get the help you need when you’re in the store aisles. Every time you asked a staff member who’s in the same aisle as you. Can you help me with something? Their reply seems to be, I don’t work over here and they don’t know who can help you..!!! Home Depot needs better training for their staff who’s working in the store aisles..
Anna Lloyd: Desmond in the home and garden went out of his way to help us find something that 4 different employees had just shrugged their shoulders and said that even though it was available online they were probably out. Desmond knew exactly where it was and showed us himself, even though it was on the complete other side of the store. He really took customer service to the next level.
Chanpen Tee: I came here for the kitchen cabinets project. The lady is so helpful and friendly. She takes her time explaining all the questions we have.
