Hellbender Brewing Company: what do users think?

Bradley Garness: Excellent food and drink. Friendly neighborhood atmosphere. Loved the beer called "Bare Bones". The guys running the BBQ were awesome. The bartenders were friendly. The majority of people drinking live in the neighborhood. This place reminds me of my time in Europe. Eat, drink, and make friends.

BREW GODZ: I liked this place a whole lot . It was in the cut , but they served great beer. I would love to live close to this brewery. Cool prices with cool atmosphere. Flights are always a plus .

Big Lou: Cinder was parked outside Hellbender Brewing, and we were lucky to feast on their bbq. Especially the brisket sandwich. Hope we’ll get to try the restaurant next time we’re back in Maryland. Tender meat from the smoker, full of flavor, and the apricot beans were awesome too. Happened to pair very well with Hellbender’s michelada made with their kolsch and in-house michelada mix.

Eric Noriega: It's a great local Brewery, with lots of well-crafted beers. I think they've got a great kolsch, which is definitely one of the harder styles. They're also very customer focused, and have a nice space.

Matthew Holly: Decent brew operation; really love how they have a few Kölsch style beers. The cucumber one is pretty notable, keeps me coming back.

Jason Scott: Fun, local, great beer. Seriously, what more do you want in a place? Tucked back in a neighborhood that gives it a laid back and easy atmosphere. Owners are friendly and staff is knowledgeable. If you haven't been here, why not?

John Walters: I randomly found Hellbender on Google Maps, and I was thoroughly impressed! I was especially blown away by the cucumber Kolsch. Very refreshing!
Response: Thanks for visiting, John! We really appreciate the feedback, and hope you can make it out here again soon. Cheers!

Benjamin Ferrufino: One of my favorite breweries around the DMV, Great beers, great food trucks, great customer service, and one of the few if not the only brewery to offer pitchers of beers which is great when hanging out with friends. Support black business beer is such of great beer.

Jermaine Jackson: Another great Red found. The stout Negative Space was good as well. A must try, highly recommend.

Emily Schneider: A hidden gem with great beers. They have outdoor seating and you can bring your dog. Hellbender doesn't serve food but they usually have food trucks on the weekends - check their instagram for the food truck lineup. Otherwise bring your own snacks.

Right Proper Brewing Company: what do users think?

Jacob Lewis: Fish and chips, if it’s on the menu I take it as a review challenge. “Oh I see you fish and chip. Challenge accepted.” I say. I lost. New favorite fish and chip. It’s here, come and get it in the nation’s capitol at Right Proper Brewing Company. And the beer? Well I’ve had so many favorites in different locales. I came here because it’s the highest rated brewery in DC proper. And I agree the three I tried were very good. Nothing weird about the flavors, no hints of awkward brew prep practices manifested into the beer. 🤙🏽 I need to speak about the QR code menu/ordering thing they have going on. I hate it. The servers were confused, I was confused. It’s not fast food. I came here to be waited on. Get rid of the thing where you make me do the work. It undercuts your employee’s gratuity. Location: just north of downtown in a thriving neighborhood with loads of brick. More brick than you’ll ever see on the west coast in any one day, it exists here in this neighborhood. It’s a bustling neighborhood, lots of pedestrians all day passing. It should feel like a quiet side street but there’s constant flow of traffic. Nice place to feel immersed if only for an hour.

catch_hug: Outstanding beers! Try the sour and the saison, finish with the porter. Food was authentic and good spiced. Waiter fulfilled compliance but not more, not very attentive but nothing to complain about either. Can recommend this place for great beers and good food. Money for value very ok.

Ben Multak: Beer here is quite good. I also enjoyed my fish tacos. I will say their outside could use some shade. That is all. Also I like that they use Toast Tab. Service was really quick and seamless.

Liberti Robinson: Vibe: Really chill and the staff is super friendly. We were checked on multiple times by our server and she made good drink recommendations. Food: Wings were great! The full dozen is the way to go. They cook their burgers exactly how you request. The chicken sandwich is a firm no. And the reason for only 4 stars. This is the second time my husband had ordered it and both times it was extremely disappointing. The sandwich isn’t seasoned at all, so it’s pretty much a chicken breast not seasoned, in unseasoned breading. Now the Brussels. You will not find better Brussels anywhere else. If you eat here make sure you order these, they will not disappoint! Overall though Right Proper gets a 7/10 from us.

Jonathan Fisher: If you want to be served with the assistance of a robot (phone and such) this might be a little easier. May e they don't have much staffing for the lunch crowd and we had an unlucky day. It is a second visit and perhaps the beer-infused experience would be more fun. Cleaning of tables and smells of the place could use a little work. But we will be back. As a group, it is an alright place to get together, and their food is decent for the price.

Travis Nelson: Nice vibe and easy ordering system that makes this a great stop for friends. We decided to swing in on a whim after brunch. Ordering is done based on the table number and QR code so it is super easy to get what you want quickly and not be slowed down with waiting for the server to pass by. Really neat venue that allows for easy conversation and plenty of drinking.

Josh Wray: Great friendly place. Woman owned business. Quickly sat, and ordering was easy. Food and drink delivered to the table in under ten minutes. Very fast. Senate beer is a nice light lager, great for after a nice afternoon on the national mall. Burger and fries was filling and delicious.

A Z: We got food and beers before a local event. Beer selection was nice & also had the option of doing a half glass. I was really impressed by the food. Flavors and freshness was excellent. Highly recommend if you want a casual bite to eat with a few drinks. service was friendly and mobile ordering was easy to use

McKenzie Westbrook: The best fish tacos I have ever had! The staff was helpful, funny, kind, and very professional. I can't express how happy I am that I found this place at random! The lunch special was more than enough and it included a glass of beer! I am already planning my next trip and bringing friends!

Joel Napol: Pretty decent beer, friendly bar service. Was sitting at a table off to the side with my wife (on a slow Saturday evening) and took my feet out of my shoes (out of view from the other bar patrons) for literally 2 minutes to relieve my recently surgically repaired fractured foot, when a rude, short employee approached me and curtly exclaimed: "can we keep our shoes on?" She immediately spun on her heels and retreated to the bar, not even giving me the courtesy of a response/explanation. F that. Good beer, nice ambiance, rude employee(s?)

Bluejacket: what do users think?

Miguel Curiel: Boutique beer garden, nice space and quick service. Unexpectedly walked in on a rainy Friday and was pleasantly surprised. Definitely recommend it for having a beer in a more informal setting. The place is very nice, with wide industrial interior design. It’s located in a walkable neighborhood surrounded by relatively new buildings. Finally, it offers a wide variety of local beer, tasty American cuisine, many televisions to broadcast your favorite sports and you can order through your phone.

Elaine Dorrans: We stopped in for a late lunch/early dinner just 2 of us on a Saturday at 4:30. We were lucky to have a table open upstairs and sat immediately. They have QR codes at each table - you order and pay and tip all online. Each QR is unique to each table and the servers bring out the food. We ordered the pastrami sandwich with fries and the shredded pork sub tots. The food came out quickly and hot. The pastrami was great and so was the shredded pork. The tots were “weird “. I think they were fried squares of mashed potatoes. The place was bustling and full. The bathrooms needed attention.

chparatrooper88: I love this place. I will be back and back again. Drinks are good. House beers are very good. Strawberry Sky on a hot July day is a great cure for DC muggy heat. Price is better than Georgetown. Enjoy (Look a Walgreens flag).

Elissa Gervais: Really nice place to grab a bite, share a pint (or both!). We sat outside and went online to make a reservation ahead of time to make sure that we could sit outside (covid safety). You can order online from your table. Two things that made dining out with a 12 month old easier/possible! Food was tasty and would especially recommend the pierogis!

Brooke Dexter: Easygoing, fun spot for beers with an extensive food menu. Comfortable bar with attentive service, but outdoor seating was so much more fun and cozy (ordering with QR code). I enjoyed the Escaping Youth sour, but I wish they had more cider options than the one from Anxo!

P Park: Great beer and snacks in the shadow of Nats' stadium. The service is excellent and the vibe is excellent. Very dog friendly.Definitely recommend the feta dip - the pita and dip were fantastic!

Brett Skipper: Stopped in while doing a DC area beer tour. They were pretty busy but managed to find us a spot outdoors. The brewery has really cool indoor and outdoor spaces and seating. The beer was good with a couple being really good. The Mexican stout was the best of the bunch. We hope to be back at some point.

Samson Williams: Where shall we begin? I'm tempted to meander down the road where gentrification takes a perfectly good, culinary icon of a city (the half smoke) and turns it into a refined mass of luke warm, just out the can processed goop. But how does one render a sausage so bland that it being birth from a can and not a grill even becomes a possibility? But lets talk about the mayonnaise instead. It's actually quite pleasant. It's got a nice, sweet Aioli flavor to it. Don't mind the sweet potato fries, they're half cooked and about as warm as Putin on a Sunday afternoon. The real ringer on the half smoke is the cheese. In retrospect, fresh from a carbonated can, whiz cheese is technically the perfect pairing for what passes as a $15 half smoke. It was so bad I had my friend taste it to confirm, as I'd just had a covid exposure and one can never be too careful with the fidelity of one's own taste buds. Suffice to say, a second bite by myself confirmed my initial urge to spit out my first bite. In conclusion, Emmy's Pizza is across the street so lunch shall be saved. But if you come here, do order the half smoke. It's so bad, it's worth the experience. ⚠️ Update ⚠️ So it's a solid 8 hours later and it finally clicked what was wrong with the chili. Zoom in on it and it looks like Fancy Feast cat food smells. True story.

Rust Man: Crazy good beer and food. Love it when a brewery takes the same approach to the food as they do the beer. Super nice people working and a great space to boot.

Ray Moreno: I am sure this place is a lot of fun but I was there for a late lunch and there were not a lot of people. The host was nice and seated me promptly. It had a scanned menu which isn’t my favorite but it’s the reality of today’s restaurant environment. Anyway to my lunch, I had a really nice handmade falafel on toasted potato bun With house made beet & carrot pickled slaw, fresh cucumber & serrano lemon yogurt sauce & fries. They have a vast sandwich & burger offering that all looked great. I’ll definitely go back for a burger, fried chicken sandwich & the sofrito pulled pork. The seafood bisque & baked feta dip looked awesome too!

Robin Mehera: 3 stars is a great brewery in DC. Their flights are great sizes. Also recommend their food. Outdoor seating is cozy as well.
Response: Thank you Robin. What an awesome review. We appreciate you.

Leticia Castro: 3 Star Brewing is one of the best hidden gems of Washington, DC. I came from Connecticut with the expectation of having the best beer. The curated flights are perfect! There is something for everyone. I would recommend the experimental flight. It's the best way to get a taste of something outside of the normal route. I would give 5 stars, but the parking situation left much to be desired. It was easy to get there from our hotel. However, once we arrived we were unable to find parking. It seems like there is a chance for more parking in the near future. We left our car far enough that it was a mild concern. The walk was not an issue, but the location is not in the safest of areas. I want to say thank you to the staff for giving us the best service. I went home with my first ever brewery t-shirt. I just had to support Nigel, the brewery cat! The logo is probably one of the best I have personally seen. There is love in everything they do. We went home with a 6 pack of Pick-Up Limes. If I lived closer, I would've taken another 12. We already ran out. 3 Star Brewing is the kind of place you go to have the best beers, the biggest laughs, and a wonderful time. Make sure you pick up some of the snacks they have to pair with your flight! Cheers!

Jessica Rodriguez: The best place for beer tasting in Washington, DC! Love the beer selection, the tasting room space and cool music that they play. The best costumer service! Also, it is really kind that they support local small shops with the pop-ups. Can't wait to go back!

Christian Mai: Great brewery with an amazing selection of beers! Atmosphere and Ambiance is very authentic. The bar appears super clean. Servers are pleasant, communicative and knowledgeable. And most importantly the beer was tasty to a good price point.

Peter Grillot: Tucked away in a small industrial strip at the edge of NW, a unique location for sure, but don't be fooled, the inside is stunning. It's very well kept in the inside, smells like beer and the equipment is right there. The bar is cool with a indoor barn structure. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The beers are really good, lots of sour, unique profiles and a damn good red ale. A must if you love beer and are in the area.

Matthew Holly: Excellent beers, excellent people. Playlist: Talus and Shuriken are memorable beers, try them if you can!
Response: Hi Matthew! We appreciate your love and support for 3 Stars!!

Jeff Welch: Great selections! They have one of the best Belgian triplels in the DC metro area.
Response: Thank you for the kind words and review!

Shankar Kulumani: Great local owned brewery in DC. Their space is great with lots of room and a large variety of beers

Udit Minocha: Their beer selection in huge -- light lagers, sours, Saison, and darker beers having high ABV. Beers to me are consistent.

Capitol City Brewing Company: what do users think?

Elizabeth Long: Oh man, the food here was so great. We ate until we were absolutely stuffed. The service was excellent. I was also really impressed by how fast the food came out.

Joseph Wilson: The service was great, the food was delicious, and my partner liked the beer. The atmosphere of the bar was nice in a slightly sophisticated kind of way, and there was plenty of seating. I have one small complaint in that I wish they didn’t charge so much for a salad. I didn’t order a salad though, so maybe they’re huge?

Hilda Kroll: Most restaurants greet their customers with a few words of welcome and a smile. Not here. The Walnut and Apple salad was good, with chicken hot off the grill, although I had to hunt to find some Bleu cheese. Stephanie was my server and was very nice, but I just felt uncomfortable here and won't be going back.

C Yager: Nice brewpub, Excellent bar service, small taplist, bonus that they have a guest tap list as well. The Kolsch was very good, burger was fine, fries were very good , crisp and not greasy. Atmosphere was nice , limited hours during the week, closes early (9pm)

Melissa Marie: The beer was very good. I got the Turkey Club with fries. It was okay, but I probably should have chosen a different item. It was busy, but I did not have to wait. Staff was great.

Corey: Stopped here for lunch after visiting fords theater. The restaurant was clean and staff friendly. That said the food was lack luster and prices high additionally for a brewery they had almost none of their own on tap and a very limited tap list. An ok spot but far from a favorite.

Alexander Herbert: They do flights, ask them about it. The burgers were great. Apparently old bay seasoning is a big deal in this area of the country, so we were sure to get some. The wings did not disappoint.

T J: This place has gone completely downhill since the pandemic. The food is overpriced and absolutely disgusting! I ordered a "fish" taco and have NO clue what I've eaten - other than perhaps plastic/cardboard. See for yourself. Service is slow - even on a slow day in DC with most still working from home...unbelievable.

Rahul Panchal: Very city type look with bright lights and good ambience, we tried their flight which is 5 shots of draft beer and H&11Rickey cocktail. Out of all draft IPA was good and cocktail was worth as well. Definitely worth visiting for the ambience and choice of cocktails they carry.

J S: Nice place well located at a corner close to a lot of woth visiting places of washington DC. Lenghty and spacious bar. A dozen of drafts from 7$. Not too much expensive for the location : burgers 11-15$, salads 10-15$... friendly staff

ChurchKey: what do users think?

C Yager: Great craft beer bar, knowledgeable bar staff, 50 beers on tap, wish they had less national/big craft beers on tap and more local. Extensive beer bottle list with hard to find beers, especially good Belgium beer selection. Fast friendly service, hard to notice from the street. Definitely recommend a visit if you love beer.

Jonathan Isett: Top notch selection of craft beers in DC. Also one of the most extensive whiskey/ bourbon catalogs around. Atmosphere is good, and the food comes through. The homemade tots are a must have. Great location on 14th st close to Logan circle. Stop and have a beer or two.

Rossukon Jandech: Beer Brunch Event on June 25th, 2022Great event, great employee, great service.Meet famous brewers there as well, so awesome.

Jeremy Krantz: During a week-long trip in DC, I spent most, if not all of my evenings at ChurchKey. As a craft beer aficionado, this is pretty much a mecca when it comes to beer and their selection is hard to match. You may wonder what's so special about this place and let me tell you straight up that it is their beer. There's little point is coming for wine, or cocktails (although they're not bad at all!) but really what sticks out is their craft beer. They have 50 taps and 500+ of bottles available as well as 5 rotating casks. It's hard to beat. My wife and I got to know the staff really well after a few trips there and they were all super friendly, knowledgeable and they made our experiences there very memorable. I cannot wait to return for many more trips when in town. One pro tip I recommend to everyone is to ask for their master beer list known as "The Bible" which is frequently updated and will allow you to figure out what's available since their selection is so extensive.

Taylor Friedman: I love churchkey but the service here needs improvement. I’ve been twice since they reopened with the latest being a Saturday night around 11:30. Busy but not crazy. Was able to find a seat at the bar. After I sat down it took at least 5 minutes just to get a bartender to acknowledge me. Was handed food and drink menus. After that probably another 5 minutes to get my order in. I thought it was weird that the bartender didn’t provide water when I sat down. I feel that it’s customary to do so at a bar as so not to make people drunk quickly. After I ordered my second drink I placed an order for food as well and was told the kitchen closed at midnight. That would have been helpful to know as I got there at almost quarter til so that was annoying. Shortly before I left there was also a guy at the bar who was passed out and one of the bartenders slammed a bottle really hard on the counter to wake him up and I thought that was kind of unnecessary. All in all, definitely a craft beer Mecca but just keep in mind service can be kinda spotty. (P.S.- they made the place brighter after they reopened so you can actually see going up that long flight of stairs and the menu once you’re inside!)

Levi Wasmundt: It's easy to get overwhelmed by the vast selection of beers on tap, but their menu organizes them well and the bartenders are very helpful in pointing you in the right direction. Ours also offered us samples before we ordered full pours. Good job ChurchKey. Cheers!

Tom W: Great list of beers. Nothing I was too interested in and I love me some craft beers. But that’s not their fault, that’s my palate. The issue was the service being absolute trash when the bar wasn’t even busy and they had ample staff. Drinks took about a half hour to come out so we ended it early and just left.
Response: Hello Tom, I am very sorry to hear about your experience. Thank you for your feed back. We appreciate any kind of feed back that can help us improve. I would love to hear more about your time here. If you would be able to email me at dpitcher@neighborhoodrestaurantgroup.com. Best regards, Dylan

Joe Perretta: Unfortunately, churchkey is the best beer bar for 100 miles. The beer is exceptional and it has reopened without missing a beat in terms of selection. The service is some of the worst for 1000 miles. And let's not blame a worker shortage, it's bad training. Nobody really knows the bottle list, most servers don't know an ale from a lager. I'm glad I had my wine key on me after my own bartending shift elsewhere because my server, who was very kind and affable, couldn't open the bottle I ordered. One of the worst staff training programs in town. I also had to convince another server that I didn't want a taster or full pour, because I had ordered a bottle. Fortunately, the clientele is, mostly, as ambivalent as management so there's no real impact to any of this. But it's just the most amateurish beer institution on the east coast. I'll continue to begrudgingly give NRG my money, but man oh man does it make you hateful to have to open your own bottles after a long shift. I really so hate churchkey.

A small cat (cat): We sat upstairs and it had a better vibe. It does have the same menu as downstairs. There were regular booths, high booths, and bar, tables. Good water. Nice decor. Great atmosphere. We ordered the tator tots - good flavor, wish more crispy on the outside like a thicker layer of it, more like mashed potato inside, salty but not too salty. The chicken and waffles were good but not my favorite. They probably just weren't my flavor profile I like. My husband loved them. The music was loud but not too loud. There were TV's at the bar. A great place to go hang out and have some grub.

Robert Last: Loved this place. Lot's of good beers. Great bartenders and service. I didn't get to try the food this trip.

Craft Beer Cellar DC: what do users think?

Thomas Nash: This isn't your average Icehouse. Great selection and the "the beer geeks are in" sign is the coolest marketing tool I've seen. The owner was super helpful and suggested some great beers. I will be back as close to weekly as possible.
Response: Thank you Thomas! We appreciate your kind words and support!

Christopher Weiss: Craft beer cellar DC is by far the best craft beer seller in the city. They have an amazing selection of craft beers and accessories. The proprietor is about the most learned beer master I’ve met. The store is impressive and easy to find with plenty of street parking nearby. I highly recommend visiting craft beer cellar DC anytime you’re near union station.
Response: Thank you Chris! Happy Holidays!

Richard Sassoon: When all hope to find single beers to buy was lost I found this beer paradise with a helpful staff that was patient enough to let me choose a few beers around their closing time. Now I know for the next time I'm in DC. Too bad I just found it on my last night here.

Lyric Obscura: Never a complaint about the beer. But I get the weirdest vibe from one of the staff, like she's watching me thinking I'm going to steal something, or that I'm homeless just because I carry bags (yall are located near a train station, you know) She always has this really unfriendly vibe to her, sometimes I don't want to come in.
Response: Hi Lyric, Thank you for your feedback! And we’re sorry we’ve given you any weird and unfriendly vibes; that is not our intention. We do try to roam the store, making ourselves available in case anyone needs help. I personally try to anticipate the need by watching for quizzical looks or someone juggling lots of beers so I can offer assistance/have them set the beers on the counter, etc, before being asked. Additionally, in an effort to keep everyone safe, we’ve had to be mask police for the last 1.5 years as people will pull their masks down while shopping. Our intention is to be the right amount of attentive and I’m sorry that we crossed into overbearing/suspicion. The next time you’re in, please introduce yourself and we can chat further. Happy Holidays! Erika

Rob Long: I come here to satisfy my need for beers that are typically not well stocked elsewhere, or are only available elsewhere seasonably. To my surprise, for a specialty and bottle shop, prices are competitive. When stocking up on my favorites, I like to support a locally owned franchise, rather than a grocery store, so it's nice that they reciprocate with hanging prices the same or close to same as big competitors. Give this a shot if you're a beer drinker!
Response: Thank you Rob! We appreciate the review and kind words.

Rick Parent: Great selection and service. Staff personally helped me maximize the quality of my choices within 8.5L pre-duty allotment to take back home across the border. Only place in DC that sells singles as well supposedly...Super convenient.
Response: We appreciate you visiting us during your stay in DC, Rick! And thank you for the review!

Jeffrey Dickson: Fantastic beer shop with a huge selection. Really can't recommend CBC DC enough to friends and family.
Response: Thanks Jeff! Hope to see you again soon!

Jess H: It's DOPE. There's so much to try and so many different beer! The associate was incredibly helpful in picking out a variety to give as a gift. Definitely coming back for myself soon
Response: Thank you Jess! We hope to see you soon!

Will Stallworth: Amazing place, and always a joy to visit. Very knowledgeable staff that is always willing to help you find new beers based off of your tastes. You can buy single cans to try things out, or get a 4/6-pack for those you love. They have a great selection of local DMV beers, as well as other large and small craft breweries from across the US and the world. They also have a fantastic selection of ciders and seltzers.
Response: Thank you Will!

Chris Garcia (ColdHeart): Best place to buy craft beer in DC. They have a wide selection of local brews, craft beers from across the US, and international beers as well as cider, wines, and craft liquors. The staff are super helpful and are always happy to answer any questions or help you find something as well as give recommendations.
Response: Thank you Chris! We appreciate you shopping with us, and for these kind words!

Red Bear Brewing Co: what do users think?

William Archer: Very close to a metro stop and filled with thoughtful design, delicious drinks, and a curated board game selection. Only had beer and cocktails but was very happy with the entire experience. If I lived closer I would be here all the time meeting people, playing board games, and drinking from the big drink selection. So many small cool touches in how they decorated and designed the space!

Dude Mertens: Easy to reach (about 5 Minutes walk) by Bus (90, 92) or Metro (Red line) is a point to enjoy this Brewpub. You'll not have the one and only favorite beer. Each visit is good for a different one. They offer a great selection of food, for me the Ceasars Salat was the best.

David Cho: Great food, decent beer and average service. Let’s start with the good. Food was amazing! Above par when it comes to bar food. Some of the biggest wings and chicken strips I’ve ever seen. I’m not a big fan of chicken strips. They are usually too dry and don’t have the best crunch, but these were different. Like eating really good fried chicken without the bones. Great flavors too. Wing sauces are a bit confusing and really not a lot of help based on their on line ordering. Some of the crew would stop by and ask if we needed anything, but others really didn’t do much or were down right rude. The beers were ok. Good enough to wash down the food, but none really stood out enough to recall. Definitely a place to try for the food and maybe the beer rotation will get better

Lisa McCullough: Delicious! Love the variety of beers, try ordering 2-3 5oz beers to try the different flavors (which rotate often!). For a fabulous and filling vegan meal, order the mushroom burger, sub gluten free (and vegan) bun for brioche bun, add vegan Gouda and an impossible beef patty. + comes with the side of your choice (salad, French fries). Yum!!

Jaclyn Barrientes: Came here for the first time it was really nice. Beers were good, as was the food. It definitely had a friendly vibe and I'm looking forward to coming here again. It had lots of open space, and communal tables. You can also buy merchandise to take home if you really liked the beers.

J Foodgeek: Nice brewery. The wings were good but they shorted Us One Wing in one of our two orders. I liked krampus on draft.

Jordan Richardson: Great experience here! The beer was great and the staff was so friendly. Stumbled upon this place on an afternoon walk and truly enjoyed my time here. Went with the Peak Bloom cheer wit

Nicole Malphrus: The cheese curds and pretzels were definitely the best ones I've ever had. The pretzels were incredibly soft, and the batter on the cheese curds was amazing! Loved having the option of getting a flight of beers, though none we tried stood out very much.

Mr O: Check this place out all out inclusive in every sense of the word. You will feel welcome no matter where you are from or identify. Great beer and bar food. Chill atmosphere and friendly staff.

Tyler Huff: The beer is Phenomenal!!! Exactly what I like when I go to a brewery. Many different flavors and they actually taste like the menu suggest. This has been one of the BEST BREWERIES I have been to. I cannot wait to come back! Food was super tasty as well!

Other Half Brewing: what do users think?

Sasha J: Amazing, first time here! This is a great place, very large variety. Amazing outdoor seating. For someone who isn’t a big beer buff they really know there stuff an are super helpful with novice beer drinkers. I will mention it’s very pet & kid friendly.

Rick Schwartz: This is one of the top 5 breweries on the entire East Coast and a must-stop if you are an IPA fan. Great facility with indoor and outdoor seating. Tasters were too small and overpriced, but the $20 4-packs are a great value.

Eric Finkelstein: It's great to see that Other Half, considered among the best breweries in the world, has expanded beyond Brooklyn. They focus on IPAs but also do stouts, sours, and lagers. They allow you to bring outside food. There's WiFi. Entrance located down an alley between two buildings.

Tayler Engel: Really cool space for a brewery, loved the outdoor section. Beer is just as good as all the other locations. Only downside was the staff, not very friendly and low energy which is different from their other locations.

Alejandro H: The D.C. brewery scene has always felt a bit sleepy. That's not to say that there isn't great beer already coming out of our nation's capital. But Other Half added a much needed flair. Awesome space that plenty of natural lighting. I'd come here all the time if I lived closer.

Ryan Rieboldt: Just discovered last night and wow am I a big fan! Only recently started my DC brewery tour but definitely a front runner. Menu had quite a few IPA’s which really suited my taste. Really enjoyed the atmosphere and aesthetic, great gem in Ivy City. Surely gonna be back soon to pick up some beers to go as well.

Dee L.: Beautiful lot! I dig the set-up, lots of ops for different gatherings. Friendly staff, clean.....BUT! Their many, many IPAs are hazy and low IBU. (they totally know who's writing this 😂) Still, wouldn't kick Green City out of bed for making crumbs.

Tanya Lawrence: Beautiful, open space [interior and exterior] with a phenomenal patio; would love to revisit in the autumn to enjoy the space alone. Friendly staff, extensive OH beer list; food can be ordered and brought on-site; dog-friendly and offers up plenty of merch and beer-to-go. Their facility also provides online ordering/curbside pickup, and plenty of garage parking. Impressed.

Jacqueline Cheng: Chill atmosphere, plenty of seating both inside and out. Heaters on the patio side with covering. Amazing and extensive beer selection, and bartenders know what to recommend. Highly enjoyed the juice collector and tipping the scales. Came here because I love the Brooklyn location. Worth a trip if you’re in the area for sure!

Ross Beebe: Awesome atmosphere and environment. Great location. 5 stars on the atmosphere and staff and all that..... But this is a Beer brewery. All these ipas are almost the same. Tons of different hops, most of them fruity infused and all hazy. Nothing special here. Sorry.

Atlas Brew Works Ivy City Brewery & Taproom: what do users think?

Traveling Terrezzas: Its a small place inside but they do have a lot of outside options with views of the stadium. I feel like this is one of the places to be before or after a ball game to have some pizza that is reasonable prices and beer rather than spending all your money at the ballpark. The pizza was good and really hit the spot for us late at night. Also tried the flight and we really enjoyed the beer! It was just really loud that my husband and I were screaming at each other but good times!
Response: Thanks, we hope to serve you again soon!

Ryan Rieboldt: Haven’t had a bad beer from Atlas yet and liked the vibe inside. However I have to give a 4 star for two reasons. The first being location as it is unfortunately in a “sketchier” and not as developed part of Ivy City. The second being that I called ahead to confirm there were stickers, then got there and the staff could only seem to find a dingy old one yet still charged me for it.. idk imho brewery stickers should always be free. I’m always willing to pay for them too, just a bit irritated the one I did pay for wasn’t pristine.

Sam G: This place is great and DOG FRIENDLY. You can bring yours right inside as long as it's well behaved. The beers are wildly varied, and usually great (there's the occasional miss). We always have a fun time. There is no kitchen, but sometimes there's a good truck, or this pizza guy that sets up a kiosk inside.

Nate B: We enjoyed this place. We had the lager and pilsner. Both were good. We also had the straight bourbon. It was also good. They do not distill it there but partner with a local distillery close by for it. Staff was great. Head brewer was very knowledgeable and came over to our table to talk about the beers. Decor was nice. I would definitely recommend this place.
Response: Thank you so much for allowing us to serve you, Nate. Till next time!

M B (M B): Great place and great beer! They have a large outdoor seating area which is amazing in the time of COVID and when the weather is nice :) always a great experience here!

Alejandro H: I have mostly good things to say about Atlas Brew Works. We appreciated their diverse list of brews. Ordered a few flights, so I think we tasted most of their beers on tap. The taproom was clean, and the staff was super friendly. We were able to have food delivered the brewery, which was great since we hadn’t had a chance to eat dinner yet when we arrived. There was stand-up that night, and let’s say it was rough, haha. But that wasn’t any fault of Atlas. I guess this is more of a warning in case you come during stand-up night.
Response: Thank you for your review! We really appreciate it!

John Thompson: The beer was okay. Not bad. Not mind blowing. But pretty good I guess. I am guessing they had just done a brewery clean when we got there. Smelled like I just wanted into an indoor pool. Not the best when you are actually trying to taste the beer produced in the brewery. I’d go again but I’m not in any rush.
Response: We're sorry that your experience wasn't amazing. We hope you'll give us another shot soon.

Corinne Goudreault: Really fun spot to try a wide range of unique beer. They also do tours of the brewery. Recommend getting the tasting flight- there are so many wonderful beers to try. Seating is pretty limited so go early, especially if the weather isn’t good and folks aren’t able to sit on the patio. Dog friendly.
Response: Thank you! We look forward to serving you again soon.

Emily Harrison: alana was the best!!! i took my sister there for her 21st and she was the best service!!! service was quick and she was the best!!! ask her her when you get to the front:))

Rob Long: This is a genuine brewery taproom experience. Think back to brewery taprooms in the early 2000s, when it was gritty and kind of warehousey... Now make that clean, huge and ambiance plus. That's Atlas on West Virginia Avenue. If you support craft beer, support Atlas. Best place in DC to get a real craft brewery experience. Also, solar powered beer. Not just a tagline. Put your money towards people doing good things while making great beer. About their brews: great variety, and decently experiential. I'm a sour guy, and while they only generally have 2-4 on tap that are brett, kettled or tart, it's enough to scratch that itch for me. They'll generally have some cross overs, that get into my taste range; ones not my typical jam, like IPAs and farmhouses, that makes me happy. If you are a pale / IPA / lager person, you'll dig here.
Response: 🍻🍻🤘🙏

The Public Option: what do users think?

David Singh: Nice relaxed vibe. The people are friendly. They serve local brews, as well as mixed drinks. They have board games, an upstairs with a dartboard (and sometimes a DJ), and a little area by the kitchen for a more quiet time. This place is worth a visit if you're looking for an unpretentious, friendly environment.

Caille Rose: I didn't end up grabbing a drink so I can't vouch for those but otherwise great chill venue. A little small upstairs and kind of house shaped? But it's a nice place. Very comfy chairs too

Pablo Destefanis: Unpretentious local brewery with good beer and a few things to eat. A bit of a dive vibe, with friendly staff. Prices have the tips included, which is fantastic. Wish it were open earlier!

DeJuae: They have a nice event space upstairs! Very artsy and chic. Gives apartment concert vibes. Not that big. Drinks are great.

Christian Panas: Last night was my first night living in the neighborhood, and I happened to walk by and walk into this place. I'm so grateful that I did. This is the kind of place that makes me hesitate to give it the great rating it deserves, because I'm afraid of it getting too busy and changing. But man, does it deserve it. You cannot find new places this genuine. Bill (the brewer and DC born-and-raised) and his wife Kathy run an amazing little place that is as genuine as it gets, with spectacular beer (loved the Cream Ale best of what I had, but the Porter and the Rye IPA were both delicious as well), locally-distilled liquor and delicious veggie dogs (I tried the jerk plantain and the spicy eggplant/mushroom and I want more, but there's a Buffalo cauliflower still to try). Upstairs there was exceptional live music, but I didn't have the time to commit to it. It's only open Fridays and Saturdays, but it's so worth it if you like value, excellence and authenticity. It's even better if you're in the neighborhood, because the clientele is mostly local and very friendly.

Joshua: Great beers! Nice quiet neighborhood bar feel. Family friendly and great service! Will definitely go back!

Emily Ru: The people are great and kind! The drinks are quality, both cocktails and beer. We just stopped in since we were visiting for a conference and it was a great surprise to meet the Public Option staff

Jorge Parrado: At first I wasn't really impressed with the female bartender. Later we talked and seemed genuine. I will try it again. They need a busboy.

Jeff K: Great funky bar with a really cool vibe. No frills, great home brews, super friendly feel.

James Marshall: A cozy, unpretentious bar with excellent beer. From the outside the place looks abandoned. Inside, the decor reminded me of my grandmother's breakfast nook. Not exactly what one looks for in a bar... but the staff and clientele where relaxed and the beer was tasty. We tried them all (they offer flights), and while some were better than others, all where good.

DC Brau: what do users think?

sameer shantaram: Stopped by when we had a few minutes to kill before meeting people in the area. Had the Public, which I've had before, but I "feel" it tasted better at the source. Two young ladies at the counter were very polite. There was a guy selling BBQ inside the doors (it was cold and windy out). Been a vegetarian for about 25 years so we didn't buy anything but he probably could've charged for the smells. Would like to come back again when it's warmer and to try out more of the selection.

Renee von Behren: Superior service with knowledgeable staff. Hard place to get to with barbed wire around the tanks at the entrance. Kind of a strange place as everything is served in a plastic cup and the interior could use a coat of paint. Beer is still good and the bartenders couldn’t have been nicer.

Jovan Milakovic: Had so much fun at DC Brau parking lot concerts. Great time, great people...

Austin S. Lin: So you will pull up to a nondescript strip mall and wonder if you're in the right place. Good news: you are! If you park in the strip mall, just look for the Homecoming Gate, a large white I-beam arch that a tractor trailer could drive under. You will see the "DC Brau" sign and you will know that you are almost home. Head down the asphalt hill and you'll second guess yourself again: "Wait, is this right?" you'll ask to the air. Almost there, almost there, young Padawan. You will be convinced you're approaching a loading dock (you kinda will be) but by halfway down the slope the smell of mash hops and warm fermentation will confirm you're in the right place. Walk through the awning and BAM! you are now in the living room of those cool roommates you had in college who were into beer making and thrashed to metalcore, making microbrews as well as they shredded electric guitars. But there is no ego or pretense here, just a chill, try-something-new ambiance of rad. Hang out with friends you never knew you had. Growlers, merch, stickers, laughs, all in the bottle. Congratulations. You have been Brau'd.

Dane Fergusson: DC Brau “The Public” Pale is one of the best Pale ales I’ve ever had. The hops are balanced to a near non-bitter perfection. As soon, as one thinks about the finish it fades and leaves the drinker wanting another sip.

Jason Gilmore: Pretty good beers but it’s a little difficult to get too. Located in the back of a strip mall in the border of DC and Maryland with few public transportation options around. No dogs allowed inside.

Anthony Oakes Comedian: A cornucopia of beer on tap, kegged, or canned. Grilled food was amazing. Beer was crisp and delish. They had a show there that was awesome.

Michael G: Very helpful and pleasant tour of facilities. One of the best things is at a cup of microbrew is only $5 and a tasting is only $2. I thought the Nitro Porter was the best

Benjamin Ferrufino: Thank you DC Brau for one of the best double IPA out there, the Imperial double IPA. No before or after taste, it is just perfect smooth. Love it, keep up the great job DC Brau.

Zachary Taye: Beer was great. I liked the turbo ipa so much I wanted to take a growler home. Only then to be disappointed. My growler was not sealed properly leading to almost all of the beer spilling in my car. Very disappointed, contacted brewery with no response.
Response: Hi Zachary, sorry to hear this would you please email me. Sophie@dcbrau.com. Let’s make this right.

City-State Brewing: what do users think?

Ryan Rieboldt: Absolutely loved the beers and atmosphere, currently tied as my favorite brewery in DC. Stopped by on a slower weekday night but still enjoyed my time and will definitely be heading back once it gets warmer. It’s located conveniently right off the Metropolitan Branch Trial a bit north of NoMa. The metro going past intermittently in the distance is a nice little city touch with a decent backdrop of lights behind the track. Both the 8 Wards IPA and Edgewood Extra were stellar!
Response: Thank you Ryan! We are happy You enjoyed!

Mischa: This is a great beer spot with great local beers (since this is a local brewpub after all), although I do find it a bit too pricey at 4 dollars for a 7 ounce pour. Nice and creative place overall, in a former industrial space (which makes it even cooler). There are some board games and a few arcade games for people who like them.

Zay McCullough, MSW, LCSW-A: I came here on 12/31/21 around 11pm via Lyft. I was visiting DC on vacation. I saw on a website that this was a family friendly place to bring in the new year. Upon arrival, it’s like a dead end. I saw a sign on the closet door that said to go to main entrance. I told the driver, who was unsure. We went around but it was to the wrong place. We ultimately ended back at same spot. When I got out, I noticed a sign pointing left. When I looked, I saw another sign in the distance that said go up the stairs and to the right, which is what I did to find the place. When walking it, it was DEAD! There was a small group people but that was it. They did have 3-4 game machine too. Honestly, I was really disappointed. I was hoping to see a decent sized crowd and to have a good time for an hour. Since I had already gotten a Lyft here, I just decided to stay. They had free goldfish for kids, which was nice. They had juice boxes for $1. They had regular potato chips for $0.50. I’m not a beer drinker. One of the staff recommended Blossom, Redbud, and a 3rd that I do not remember. Blossom was the best of the 3. I decided to get a glass and a bag of chips. My kid got a bag of chips too. They did have a water dispenser and cups that appeared to be free. They didn’t have BBQ like I thought. The ad was somewhat misleading. It make it seem like the food and would be there all night. Staff told me the BBQ was earlier and that they just had sandwiches now. While drinking my beer, I noticed that they had the countdown playing but was playing other music. This was also a disappointment because I wanted to hear the songs that artist were singing. My beer came up to about $7. I asked a staff person if she was here last year and she told me that they just opened in June of this year. I guess this partially explains why no one was here for New Years. Around 11:40pm, I decided to call a Lyft and head back to the hotel. My kid was sleepy and frankly, I was bored. My Lyft got there pretty quickly too.. it was about a minute after I ordered. My kid actually fell asleep there and on the fairly short (about 8 minutes) car ride back to the hotel. For the reason that I came here, it was a complete waste of time, unfortunately. Maybe I had too high expectations. It looked a little cluttered outside of the main areas. The menu seemed limited as well. Would I return? Probably not unfortunately. I will say that staff was friendly and definitely had a lot of potential.
Response: Hi there. We're very sorry we couldn't provide a perfect experience for you on a rainy night at the height of a pandemic surge. Our food provider canceled at the last minute because of COVID. Our staff stayed on to be there for whoever wanted to spend the New Year. Thank you for rewarding them with this review. If you had used this medium to ask us whether we were busy before heading over, we would have answered right away. Our industry is hurting badly right now. You should calibrate your expectations, and be grateful that anywhere is open to host you at all. Have a great new year.

Marisa Sterling-Abram: TL;DR: Love the space, and the beer. Don't love the food, wish the staff was friendlier, and wish the bathrooms were cleaner. Great space but I wish they had a more ADA accessible entrance (lots of stairs). The feather duster beer was delicious and I would return solely for that. Place was not that busy and it was a good spot to watch Sunday night football except for the fact that they were blasting afrobeats way too loud. We tried the food vendor of the night called native plants and ordered a crab cake (no fries because they ran out) and a shrimp stir fry ( which didn't come with rice) both were honestly not edible and I would not try that food vendor again. Hoping next time we come there is different food option.
Response: Hi Marisa, we do have an ADA entrance but we need to do a better job of making it easy to use. Thank you for the note about the bathrooms, we will work on that. We're sorry you didn't have a great experience with Native Plate. City-State is a venue for new food talent, and there are rough edges sometimes. If the music is uncomfortably loud, please ask staff to turn it down a bit. My mother has been doing this my whole life. Please come back soon and give us a chance to do better. The afrobeat stays. City-State

Ruben Stemple: Brrwery has a cool vibe. They are very proud of being part of DC. Lots of room for tables. The app based payment system didn't work for me but I accept that may have been my issue. Board games for family entertainment.

Rebecca Wolf: We’re so excited to have a new spot in Edgewood. Great community gathering place with awesome local brews. Redbud is my favorite! Bike, kid and dog friendly!

Jenny Jacobs: Really enjoyed our time there. They have arcade games and skee ball! Appreciated that they have the option of small pours. Wish there were more food options.
Response: Hi Jenny, thank you so much for coming and for leaving a review. We have a rotating cast of food trucks and vendors, and there are lots of options available for pickup at Mess Hall just one block away!

John Swain: Cool, open set up. So many different types of people there. Fantastic customer service. Lux Lager was all that. The Golden Ale was also 🔥. Food truck (Petite Afrik) had really good sandwiches. The bread was next level. Family friendly with arcade games along with my favorite... Skee-ball. A few books and toys for the very young crowd. Also noticed a number of board games in a cabinet. The building is set along the MBT path so it's convenient to ride a bike, scooter or any other small, wheeled vehicle. Can't wait to get back to try everything else!

Matthew Holly: Hard to recommend this brewery. Beers are pretty unremarkable (except for the excellent Blossom Kölsch, which they rarely seem to have in rotation), and some (NEDC) look and taste straight up revolting. They never have their solid beers for sale in cans either - might be 13 beers on the menu, but only 4 of them are canned? Don't think they do growler fills. On top of that, we've been sent home or refused service because of random ticketed events - couldn't even get beers to go or from a separate window outside. A real turn-off. Tried this place a few times and wanted to like it, think it's time to give up. A shame because it's a great location and a cool space. EDIT: Changed it from 2 to 1 stars only because of the passive aggressive cringetopia-worthy essay the owner felt the need to post in response to my review. They claim City-State does 'crowler' fills, and I actually got one there - they had a basil saison that was pretty good and I wanted a pack to go (of course they didn't have it for sale in cans). However, 'crowlers' here are not the 32 oz. cans you can expect pretty much anywhere else that does it; the server proudly presented me with their 16 oz. 'crowler' (one beer, lol) and charged me 8 or 9 dollars for it! Equal parts funny and tragic. Beyond that, the owner narcissistically claims to brew 'the best beer in DC'. They don't even brew the best beers in a half-mile radius, because Right Proper is that close and their efforts are worlds beyond City-State. Go there instead, place is awesome :)
Response: Sorry to hear this. We've only had one ticketed event where a cover was required--our first anniversary party a few weeks ago. We don't have ability to staff a separate to-go window, but we would have sold to-go beer at the anniversary but no one asked. No one asked for beer to go at the anniversary. If you had, we would have sold it to you. Like many breweries these days, we have crowlers but do not fill growlers. We take great care in packaging our beers, and growlers are difficult to clean and control oxygen in. We want to serve an optimal product and growlers make that impossible. We have 4 or 5 to-go beers at any time, and they are our flagships--solid to say the least. We can't can all our beers, and few breweries do. Some are small batches intended only for the taproom, at least for now. We've only been open for a year and we're still learning what people want. Deciding what to can is both a consideration of batch size (we brew in 5BBL and 20BBL batches, and it is not economical to can the smaller batches), demand, and timing. We put a lot of care into our labels, for example. We make the best beer in DC, sorry you don't agree. We've served almost 40,000 very happy people since last year, sorry you aren't one of them. We hope there are other aspects of your life which bring you joy. Love, City-State

Jason Broughton: Great place to relax and have a choice of beer Arcade games, skeet ball and bring your own game night. Does not have food inside but access to food trucks

ChopHouse & Brewery: what do users think?

Syerra Carigo: My husband and I came here for our Valentine’s Day dinner and we were pleasantly surprised! The food here is so delicious! I can’t believe I never stopped in this restaurant before! The spinach dip was amazing! Like we were (shamefully) scraping the plate 😂😂🤦🏾‍♀️ The steaks, equally delicious and cooked perfectly! It was extremely busy, but our waiter remained attentive and served us pretty quickly considering how crazy it was. I’m definitely coming back to this restaurant for dinner again. Very, very good!

Edward Parsons: This was my first time visiting the CH&B and it was worth it. I sat at the bar and the service was better that sitting at a table. The bartender was knowledgeable and made excellent recommendations. Do not let the prices scare you away. My meal was worth every penny.

Safiya Parker: Went here for a birthday celebration. It served about 20 people at one time. Service was as good as it could be serving a number like this. The cornbread skillet was delicious. Everyone reaved about the lamb. I got the burger which was filling. I would return to try this place again.

Adrian Alonso: Very good steaks particularly the bone-in rib eye. Loved the corn bread. The cheesecake was a bit too sweet to my liking. The staff was professional and friendly. Definitely a place I'd come back to for dinner when in Washington.

Mischa: Very nice place with very nice and classic vintage decor, as well as nice food and a few nice house-made beers, but the hamburger was much too expensive in my opinion. Otherwise, all else was great!

Mary Martinez: New from LA and attended a lunch here. Holy moly how can I snag April for my company’s customer service role?! What a server! Great personality, recommendations and a little holiday humor to compliment the meal. The citrus salmon was yummy. I will be back! Check out the holiday decor pic ❤️

Danny Mike: One of the best steakhouses in town. The food: Me and my wife had a New York and a Sirloin stakes with baked potato and mashed potatoes as sides. The meat was medium done and it was very very very succulent and tender and delicious 😋 I highly recommend this place. Bonus: We've received an on-the-house special cornbread kinda pie, which was interestingly delicious The place: Atmosphere was also intimate and not at all crowded (Monday evening) The staff: Our server, Francesca, was spot on with the recommendations, and helping us with what we needed throughout our dinner.

Julius Goros: Hands down had a wonderful experience dining in. We had Lauren as our waiter she was absolutely fantastic.. thank you for such a nice evening making it special for me and my lady. We had the calamari, porterhouse steak and the ribeye.. all were amazing 👏 dinner was really so nice definitely enjoyed it and will be back next time visiting DC.

Edgar Jones: Worth every cent. The steak, the brews, and the ambiance! Had the 18oz BONE-IN RIBEYE black angus, steak butter.

Lincoln Ward: Great food and pretty good service. Great atmosphere.Wife found a piece of glass in her chicken parm sandwich. Manager on duty didn’t seem too concerned. Probably won’t be back.

City Tap House Penn Quarter: what do users think?

Juice: Went for lunch after being told it was a great place to eat... I was very disappointed! While the food as you can see presents well the taste on the other hand is nothing special. The Ahi I felt was cut a bit thick and the sauce tasted like jar buffalo sauce, the mussels smelled when brought to the table, I tried a few but they tasted dirty, and the margarita I ordered had the most tart(est) mix I've ever had, I needed to add pineapple juice to cut the tartness. A plus is the atmosphere and our waitress was cool, and the location is close to shopping, however I do not think I will be returning at least no time soon.
Response: Sorry to hear things weren't up to your expectations Juice! Pineapple juice in a margarita? Hmmmmm.

Stephen R Roderick (Thae): I was disappointed after reading good review on this place. Next time, I would go to Yard House over here. The beers were great! The pretzel app was really good, but the Brussels sprouts were actually good and the fried cauliflower Buffalo overpowered the overall dish and it wasn’t good. The margherita pizza was the worst- it was like someone who never made it before made it. Like I said the beer was great and the service was good. The food was just ok.

Mikaila L: We came in late in the night around 10:30pm after not being able to find any available or open restaurants on a Friday night and we were able to be seated right away! We are so glad we found this place. The music was great & we had fast service. I ordered the Caesar salad with added avocado. The crostini with it was such good addition and the salad was honestly perfect. It was so delicious, it was one of the best Caesar salads I’ve had. I could eat that all the time lol. The only thing I didn’t like was the added cost of the avocado was $2 and they gave us maybe 1/8th of an avocado but other than that it was great. We also shared a dessert, we had the skillet cookie with vanilla ice cream and it was amazing! The prices were great as well and very affordable. I would highly recommend it here!

Steven Hernandez: The server was nice and we didn't have to wait too long for our orders. These are pictures of the Cuban. It was pretty bad... The pork tasted and looked like it had been in the fridge for a week. But we were starving and didn't want to wait 45 mins for the yardhouse. I would wait and save your money. Sad though, because this place could be AMAZING! such a great spot in the corner and it's huge inside...

Winnie Winnie: Really cool vibe inside and friendly staff. We went at 8 on a Saturday night and it wasn't crowded at all. I had a flight of beer and the veggie burger, I loved it. Husband had the Nashville chicken sandwich and said it was great (he's very picky about eating out). Brother had the fried chicken sandwich and gave it a thumbs up. We all agreed that the fries were awesome. Presentation was nice too. The negative reviews here seem to be for the more "fancy" dinner entrees so I might suggest going for the more casual options (sandwiches, burgers, etc.). After eating we went outside to have more drinks. The prices were reasonable, especially for the location and the service. I would go again.
Response: Thanks for the feedback Winnie! Glad to hear that we were able to please some picky palates! We do try to keep our prices reasonable, even during this time of inflated costs, so thanks for recognizing that!

A Z: I’m giving a low rating because there was a fly in my drink. Either the liquor is not properly stored or the ice is dirty. The server immediately corrected the mistake & her service was great that’s why I’m giving a couple of stars. I didn’t like how we were seated though. We we’re placed very closely in between 2 parties. We realized there were plenty of open tables in the restaurant & yes maybe we should of said something but at this point we ordered a couple of drinks and didn’t want to be a pain. It was super uncomfortable though & the whole time the party next to us didn’t talk and just listened into our conversation & starred. The bathrooms were atrocious. Lastly, before we were seated at the table we had a couple of drinks at the bar. The guy cleaning off the table behind us reached over the seat next to me with dirty glasses to hand to the bartender & whatever was on the glass dropped onto my bag. This guy should not be reaching over the bar top while people are trying to enjoy their space & drinks. Why couldn’t he go to the end of the bar or go around. It just seemed like an odd thing to do in the middle of the bar where people are trying to enjoy their time there.

Paul Phan: The food was delicious, but my service was awful. I didn’t get checked on once and didn’t have utensils or napkins. I was just handed the check at the end after I asked someone else to get our waiter. I won’t let one bad experience ruin the rating since the food was excellent.

Drew: I agree with other reviewers- BEST wings I’ve ever had in my entire life. We also got the greens and grains salad and the tandoori chicken and all 3 were absolutely fantastic. Beer selection is phenomenal. If I could rate this place higher I would. Could not recommend it more.

Chalsie Baker: We had a great time at City Tap House tonight. From the chill vibe, awesome food, and the best service from Isaac, we have nothing but great things to say about this place. If you are out and about in DC, it needs to be on your list!
Response: Thanks for the five star Chalsie! We are working hard to get back to the old days!

Pierre Gomez: This place has an excellent selection of beer and cocktails but generally bad food and service. On a recent visit I got the meatloaf sandwich -- the fries were cold, the meatloaf was dry and bland, and the portion was smaller than expected. The chicken and waffles was fine. We also waited a long time to order, to get our beers, and then to pay. The place wasn't all that full. The back of the restaurant is also very cold.
Response: Sorry to hear about this experience Pierre. Can you contact me at fherrmann@table95.com? Thanks!

The Bruery Store: what do users think?

AJ Hendricks: Member of The Bruery Reserve Beer Club. The staff at the store are very friendly, and The Bruery makes some of the best stouts and sours you'll ever find. Also, they carry great IPAs from their sister brewery, Offshoot Beer Co.

Derek Rebuck: I went to the Bruery Store in October after receiving a nift coupon. I obviously enjoyed it because I've been there at least 3 times since. I really enjoy their selection and interesting flavors. They have a huge sours section. The staff are very friendly and happy to provide suggestions. They have always complimented my selections, and while they may very well do it for everyone, it still makes me feel good. They make a lot of different flavors that you won't find elsewhere. It's definitely worth a trip. And with the holiday season around us, what better way to show appreciation for a family member or friend with a unique beer from the Bruery story.

Ed A: Great spot to pickup orders from preservation, reserve and hoarders society membership online orders or as a member of the public shopping for great beer and merchandise. There is now a custom draft system for crowler fills (never seen anything like it). Still no drinking on premises but that may change in the future. The people working there are helpful and efficient so go check it out. Cheers!

Matthew Maisano: The beer is amazing, but the staff is awesome as well. Won’t specify what, but they did me a solid when they didn’t have to and I appreciate that greatly.

Tommy Kromer: Fantastic people and fantastic beer! Been a member for a few years and that’s not going to stop!

Jacob Murphy: Love the tasting menu that they have here and the variety of quality brews!

Coral Dirks: Super cool store in a hot spot. I first heard about this store from a friend whose son lives in CA. He loves it so much that he has the Invite Only membership. Naturally, I was excited to see that they have a store front in DC and was not disappointed. The Bruery offers a nice variety of beer including my favorite -- sours! Shop has a homey vibe. It looks like an industrial barn with lots of natural lighting, as opposed to a gas station or no-name liquor store. These days, the experience is everything. The two members on staff were the perfect sellers; they gave me my space and didn't make me feel like I was being watched. However, they were quick to answer any questions I had and with some good humor. :) Very knowledgeable about their products and had recommendations ready for anything I threw at them. Considering a membership myself!

Ryan Linehan: These guys know their beer! Just got the Starling Ovation and it is delicious. Get it before it's gone and if it's gone get a 4 pack of Relax. Yum!

James R: Among the best breweries in the country. The shop is a little out of the way and the people there can be a little surly or snobby (depending on the night) but overall, always a great experience.
Response: Hey James, thanks for the five star review! Sorry to hear your experience with the staff was less than stellar. We definitely try to emphasize customer service and its clear theres room for improvement. A thousand apologies!

Anne Johnson: They have an eclectic selection of beers. Their stouts are extremely smooth and tasty. I was a little disappointed that we pre-ordered, but when we got there we were told they were sold out. I believe if you pre-order they should hold for you until you pick it up.

Lost & Found DC: what do users think?

Fred Acheampong: Good selection of beer and liquor, reasonable prices, and fast bartenders. There are several tables with high chairs and a decent bit of standing room. There's also an outdoor area in the back if you prefer the fresh air. They have a few TV's mounted behind the bar and were showing a mix of sports and news.

seanjohn Thomas: Nice Venue ... Boring atmosphere .... Boring beer ... Bartender does not even know what they are serving from craft beer menu ... COVID Claimed.anothe business ... Sad

Omar S: Stopped in on a recent Sunday... Got zero acknowledgement from bartender, nothing. Left after 10 mins. Went across the street to Tallboy's where the staff were more functional. Wasn't particularly busy nor closing time, and it's a small service area at night. Whether bartender was exhausted, bigoted, or on too many substances, they need to try harder (at all). Two stars only because it's a lovely space and convenient to metro.

Siran Skill: As Belgian road tripping through the USA, I've got to admit that the Lost and Found is (for now at least) the place I've the most enjoyed with the best beers for a good price! So thank to them to be there!

Robert Jacoby: Underwhelming bar...even though the drink list looks pretty good. Loud bar, somewhat divey. I was definitely served the wrong beer, although didn’t have time to question it because the bartenders are very inattentive. Had high hopes for this one because it looked cool from the outside, but they fell short. (Not going for lower than 3 stars because if you like the divey, loud scene, you may have a different opinion.)

Edward Grandi: I was there for professional reasons, but looks like the perfect place for an after work drink or a break from the convention center. Can't wait to go there in the future.

Denis Blondeel: Good bar, friendly people. Only bar we returned twice during our stay in DC

Dan Glish: Hey I don't see my review anymore but just want to remind everyone to go to a different business other than this one. THIS ONE REQUIRES VAXX CARDS, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE, DO NOT SUPPORT THIS UNCONSTITUTIONAL BUSINESS!!

Manuel Valverde: Great place to hang out, spacious with an outdoor area.

B Josie: My boyfriend went to Lost and Found on Saturday afternoon before I went back with him the next day. He sat out front. He was smoking a cigar while they served him a drink. If it was not allowed, he would’ve understood but clearly this was okay. So, I tagged along with him the next day. We sat out front smoking cigars as we watched several other people sit at tables smoking cigarettes. They were not patrons. Someone from the bar walked over to us 30 minutes later, letting us know we can’t smoke here. It’s not allowed. It was clearly allowed for the OTHER people that had been smoking but we were told something different I guess. I explained to him we wouldn’t even be here if my boyfriend was told the day before that it wasn’t allowed. He never did give me a response when I asked why it wasn’t a bother for the waiter the day before -_-. I wasn’t trying to step on anyone’s toes but I had to explain how there had been several people smoking here before us that have an affiliation with the art gallery next door. The security guard who works at the art gallery even told us it has NEVER been an issue. And he’s been working there long enough to know that. Clearly it just wasn’t okay for US since we weren’t white. I would never come here again and I’ll let everyone else know not too as well.
Response: Thank you for your review. We do have a non-smoking policy on our patios, but as owners we take responsibility for not communicating this effectively enough to our staff. We apologize for the inconvenience and that you had a negative experience at our bar. We hope you'll give us another chance in the future.
