Right Proper Brewing Company: what do users think?

Jacob Lewis: Fish and chips, if it’s on the menu I take it as a review challenge. “Oh I see you fish and chip. Challenge accepted.” I say. I lost. New favorite fish and chip. It’s here, come and get it in the nation’s capitol at Right Proper Brewing Company. And the beer? Well I’ve had so many favorites in different locales. I came here because it’s the highest rated brewery in DC proper. And I agree the three I tried were very good. Nothing weird about the flavors, no hints of awkward brew prep practices manifested into the beer. 🤙🏽 I need to speak about the QR code menu/ordering thing they have going on. I hate it. The servers were confused, I was confused. It’s not fast food. I came here to be waited on. Get rid of the thing where you make me do the work. It undercuts your employee’s gratuity. Location: just north of downtown in a thriving neighborhood with loads of brick. More brick than you’ll ever see on the west coast in any one day, it exists here in this neighborhood. It’s a bustling neighborhood, lots of pedestrians all day passing. It should feel like a quiet side street but there’s constant flow of traffic. Nice place to feel immersed if only for an hour.

catch_hug: Outstanding beers! Try the sour and the saison, finish with the porter. Food was authentic and good spiced. Waiter fulfilled compliance but not more, not very attentive but nothing to complain about either. Can recommend this place for great beers and good food. Money for value very ok.

Ben Multak: Beer here is quite good. I also enjoyed my fish tacos. I will say their outside could use some shade. That is all. Also I like that they use Toast Tab. Service was really quick and seamless.

Liberti Robinson: Vibe: Really chill and the staff is super friendly. We were checked on multiple times by our server and she made good drink recommendations. Food: Wings were great! The full dozen is the way to go. They cook their burgers exactly how you request. The chicken sandwich is a firm no. And the reason for only 4 stars. This is the second time my husband had ordered it and both times it was extremely disappointing. The sandwich isn’t seasoned at all, so it’s pretty much a chicken breast not seasoned, in unseasoned breading. Now the Brussels. You will not find better Brussels anywhere else. If you eat here make sure you order these, they will not disappoint! Overall though Right Proper gets a 7/10 from us.

Travis Nelson: Nice vibe and easy ordering system that makes this a great stop for friends. We decided to swing in on a whim after brunch. Ordering is done based on the table number and QR code so it is super easy to get what you want quickly and not be slowed down with waiting for the server to pass by. Really neat venue that allows for easy conversation and plenty of drinking.

Josh Wray: Great friendly place. Woman owned business. Quickly sat, and ordering was easy. Food and drink delivered to the table in under ten minutes. Very fast. Senate beer is a nice light lager, great for after a nice afternoon on the national mall. Burger and fries was filling and delicious.

A Z: We got food and beers before a local event. Beer selection was nice & also had the option of doing a half glass. I was really impressed by the food. Flavors and freshness was excellent. Highly recommend if you want a casual bite to eat with a few drinks. service was friendly and mobile ordering was easy to use

Capitol City Brewing Company: what do users think?

Elizabeth Long: Oh man, the food here was so great. We ate until we were absolutely stuffed. The service was excellent. I was also really impressed by how fast the food came out.

Joseph Wilson: The service was great, the food was delicious, and my partner liked the beer. The atmosphere of the bar was nice in a slightly sophisticated kind of way, and there was plenty of seating. I have one small complaint in that I wish they didn’t charge so much for a salad. I didn’t order a salad though, so maybe they’re huge?

C Yager: Nice brewpub, Excellent bar service, small taplist, bonus that they have a guest tap list as well. The Kolsch was very good, burger was fine, fries were very good , crisp and not greasy. Atmosphere was nice , limited hours during the week, closes early (9pm)

Melissa Marie: The beer was very good. I got the Turkey Club with fries. It was okay, but I probably should have chosen a different item. It was busy, but I did not have to wait. Staff was great.

Alexander Herbert: They do flights, ask them about it. The burgers were great. Apparently old bay seasoning is a big deal in this area of the country, so we were sure to get some. The wings did not disappoint.

Rahul Panchal: Very city type look with bright lights and good ambience, we tried their flight which is 5 shots of draft beer and H&11Rickey cocktail. Out of all draft IPA was good and cocktail was worth as well. Definitely worth visiting for the ambience and choice of cocktails they carry.

J S: Nice place well located at a corner close to a lot of woth visiting places of washington DC. Lenghty and spacious bar. A dozen of drafts from 7$. Not too much expensive for the location : burgers 11-15$, salads 10-15$... friendly staff

Red Bear Brewing Co: what do users think?

William Archer: Very close to a metro stop and filled with thoughtful design, delicious drinks, and a curated board game selection. Only had beer and cocktails but was very happy with the entire experience. If I lived closer I would be here all the time meeting people, playing board games, and drinking from the big drink selection. So many small cool touches in how they decorated and designed the space!

David Cho: Great food, decent beer and average service. Let’s start with the good. Food was amazing! Above par when it comes to bar food. Some of the biggest wings and chicken strips I’ve ever seen. I’m not a big fan of chicken strips. They are usually too dry and don’t have the best crunch, but these were different. Like eating really good fried chicken without the bones. Great flavors too. Wing sauces are a bit confusing and really not a lot of help based on their on line ordering. Some of the crew would stop by and ask if we needed anything, but others really didn’t do much or were down right rude. The beers were ok. Good enough to wash down the food, but none really stood out enough to recall. Definitely a place to try for the food and maybe the beer rotation will get better

Lisa McCullough: Delicious! Love the variety of beers, try ordering 2-3 5oz beers to try the different flavors (which rotate often!). For a fabulous and filling vegan meal, order the mushroom burger, sub gluten free (and vegan) bun for brioche bun, add vegan Gouda and an impossible beef patty. + comes with the side of your choice (salad, French fries). Yum!!

J Foodgeek: Nice brewery. The wings were good but they shorted Us One Wing in one of our two orders. I liked krampus on draft.

Jordan Richardson: Great experience here! The beer was great and the staff was so friendly. Stumbled upon this place on an afternoon walk and truly enjoyed my time here. Went with the Peak Bloom cheer wit

Mr O: Check this place out all out inclusive in every sense of the word. You will feel welcome no matter where you are from or identify. Great beer and bar food. Chill atmosphere and friendly staff.

Tyler Huff: The beer is Phenomenal!!! Exactly what I like when I go to a brewery. Many different flavors and they actually taste like the menu suggest. This has been one of the BEST BREWERIES I have been to. I cannot wait to come back! Food was super tasty as well!

Hellbender Brewing Company: what do users think?

Bradley Garness: Excellent food and drink. Friendly neighborhood atmosphere. Loved the beer called "Bare Bones". The guys running the BBQ were awesome. The bartenders were friendly. The majority of people drinking live in the neighborhood. This place reminds me of my time in Europe. Eat, drink, and make friends.

BREW GODZ: I liked this place a whole lot . It was in the cut , but they served great beer. I would love to live close to this brewery. Cool prices with cool atmosphere. Flights are always a plus .

Big Lou: Cinder was parked outside Hellbender Brewing, and we were lucky to feast on their bbq. Especially the brisket sandwich. Hope we’ll get to try the restaurant next time we’re back in Maryland. Tender meat from the smoker, full of flavor, and the apricot beans were awesome too. Happened to pair very well with Hellbender’s michelada made with their kolsch and in-house michelada mix.

Matthew Holly: Decent brew operation; really love how they have a few Kölsch style beers. The cucumber one is pretty notable, keeps me coming back.

John Walters: I randomly found Hellbender on Google Maps, and I was thoroughly impressed! I was especially blown away by the cucumber Kolsch. Very refreshing!

Benjamin Ferrufino: One of my favorite breweries around the DMV, Great beers, great food trucks, great customer service, and one of the few if not the only brewery to offer pitchers of beers which is great when hanging out with friends. Support black business beer is such of great beer.

Jermaine Jackson: Another great Red found. The stout Negative Space was good as well. A must try, highly recommend.

Dude Mertens: Use Metro to Eastern Market, then Circulater (EM-LP) or Bus 92 for one Stop - or walk easily. In house made prime beer. My favorite is the Pale Ale. Very friendly staff. Offered sample before asking for. Had a really good Burger there. Will come again.

Richard Woodford: Attended an alumni get together here. Good brews & tasty pub grub. Worth a visit while in the Eastern Market area.

brandon dengler: Not the best beer selection, but food and service were great. Nice that they have outdoor seating in front.

Joe S: I really enjoy this place! The bartenders are great and the food is good too. The beer selection is kind of limited and the prices of drinks are a little on the high side for what they are. The food is good. It might take a while to come to your table but it’s good. I had the tot Poutine and it was delicious. The right size to eat alone or with a friend. Delicious cheese with a good stretch and thick gravy if salty gravy cheese fries are your things .. get it

Sam Odle: Great service, bar tenders are always friendly. They usually have ~4 of their beers on tap. Not a huge draft selection and although there’s a few TVs it’s a better spot for conversing than watching the game.

Miguel Curiel: Boutique beer garden, nice space and quick service. Unexpectedly walked in on a rainy Friday and was pleasantly surprised. Definitely recommend it for having a beer in a more informal setting. The place is very nice, with wide industrial interior design. It’s located in a walkable neighborhood surrounded by relatively new buildings. Finally, it offers a wide variety of local beer, tasty American cuisine, many televisions to broadcast your favorite sports and you can order through your phone.

Elaine Dorrans: We stopped in for a late lunch/early dinner just 2 of us on a Saturday at 4:30. We were lucky to have a table open upstairs and sat immediately. They have QR codes at each table - you order and pay and tip all online. Each QR is unique to each table and the servers bring out the food. We ordered the pastrami sandwich with fries and the shredded pork sub tots. The food came out quickly and hot. The pastrami was great and so was the shredded pork. The tots were “weird “. I think they were fried squares of mashed potatoes. The place was bustling and full. The bathrooms needed attention.

chparatrooper88: I love this place. I will be back and back again. Drinks are good. House beers are very good. Strawberry Sky on a hot July day is a great cure for DC muggy heat. Price is better than Georgetown. Enjoy (Look a Walgreens flag).

Elissa Gervais: Really nice place to grab a bite, share a pint (or both!). We sat outside and went online to make a reservation ahead of time to make sure that we could sit outside (covid safety). You can order online from your table. Two things that made dining out with a 12 month old easier/possible! Food was tasty and would especially recommend the pierogis!

Brooke Dexter: Easygoing, fun spot for beers with an extensive food menu. Comfortable bar with attentive service, but outdoor seating was so much more fun and cozy (ordering with QR code). I enjoyed the Escaping Youth sour, but I wish they had more cider options than the one from Anxo!

Brett Skipper: Stopped in while doing a DC area beer tour. They were pretty busy but managed to find us a spot outdoors. The brewery has really cool indoor and outdoor spaces and seating. The beer was good with a couple being really good. The Mexican stout was the best of the bunch. We hope to be back at some point.

Rust Man: Crazy good beer and food. Love it when a brewery takes the same approach to the food as they do the beer. Super nice people working and a great space to boot.

Ray Moreno: I am sure this place is a lot of fun but I was there for a late lunch and there were not a lot of people. The host was nice and seated me promptly. It had a scanned menu which isn’t my favorite but it’s the reality of today’s restaurant environment. Anyway to my lunch, I had a really nice handmade falafel on toasted potato bun With house made beet & carrot pickled slaw, fresh cucumber & serrano lemon yogurt sauce & fries. They have a vast sandwich & burger offering that all looked great. I’ll definitely go back for a burger, fried chicken sandwich & the sofrito pulled pork. The seafood bisque & baked feta dip looked awesome too!

C Yager: Great craft beer bar, knowledgeable bar staff, 50 beers on tap, wish they had less national/big craft beers on tap and more local. Extensive beer bottle list with hard to find beers, especially good Belgium beer selection. Fast friendly service, hard to notice from the street. Definitely recommend a visit if you love beer.

Jonathan Isett: Top notch selection of craft beers in DC. Also one of the most extensive whiskey/ bourbon catalogs around. Atmosphere is good, and the food comes through. The homemade tots are a must have. Great location on 14th st close to Logan circle. Stop and have a beer or two.

Rossukon Jandech: Beer Brunch Event on June 25th, 2022Great event, great employee, great service.Meet famous brewers there as well, so awesome.

City Tap House Penn Quarter: what do users think?

Mikaila L: We came in late in the night around 10:30pm after not being able to find any available or open restaurants on a Friday night and we were able to be seated right away! We are so glad we found this place. The music was great & we had fast service. I ordered the Caesar salad with added avocado. The crostini with it was such good addition and the salad was honestly perfect. It was so delicious, it was one of the best Caesar salads I’ve had. I could eat that all the time lol. The only thing I didn’t like was the added cost of the avocado was $2 and they gave us maybe 1/8th of an avocado but other than that it was great. We also shared a dessert, we had the skillet cookie with vanilla ice cream and it was amazing! The prices were great as well and very affordable. I would highly recommend it here!

Paul Phan: The food was delicious, but my service was awful. I didn’t get checked on once and didn’t have utensils or napkins. I was just handed the check at the end after I asked someone else to get our waiter. I won’t let one bad experience ruin the rating since the food was excellent.

Drew: I agree with other reviewers- BEST wings I’ve ever had in my entire life. We also got the greens and grains salad and the tandoori chicken and all 3 were absolutely fantastic. Beer selection is phenomenal. If I could rate this place higher I would. Could not recommend it more.

Chalsie Baker: We had a great time at City Tap House tonight. From the chill vibe, awesome food, and the best service from Isaac, we have nothing but great things to say about this place. If you are out and about in DC, it needs to be on your list!

Robin Mehera: 3 stars is a great brewery in DC. Their flights are great sizes. Also recommend their food. Outdoor seating is cozy as well.

Christian Mai: Great brewery with an amazing selection of beers! Atmosphere and Ambiance is very authentic. The bar appears super clean. Servers are pleasant, communicative and knowledgeable. And most importantly the beer was tasty to a good price point.

Matthew Holly: Excellent beers, excellent people. Playlist: Talus and Shuriken are memorable beers, try them if you can!

Jeff Welch: Great selections! They have one of the best Belgian triplels in the DC metro area.

Shankar Kulumani: Great local owned brewery in DC. Their space is great with lots of room and a large variety of beers

Udit Minocha: Their beer selection in huge -- light lagers, sours, Saison, and darker beers having high ABV. Beers to me are consistent.

Settle Down Easy Brewing Co.: what do users think?

Chandler Wilson: Visiting from AZ- had a great time and would definitely come back. Really nice vibe and some great beers on tap- the Sweet Scoville Sting was definitely a highlight! I was pleasantly surprised by how fantastic the seltzer was- packed with flavor with less effervescence than I expected, I’d definitely recommend it even if you’re not a seltzer fan.

Preston Burns: Great visit today! This brewery is very laid back with a relaxed take it easy atmosphere. They have a Tex-Mex grill inside and we were there at lunch time. We ordered the loaded Settle Down Easy nachos with ground beef. It was a meal! I had one of their flagship brews, 2Cloud9 NEIPA, and I left with some to go. We enjoyed being there and I recommend a stop there any time you’re passing through. 6/12/22- Round two. Raspberry Ramble and Three Wired. Both excellent. More nachos and a game of Jenga with the family.

Raj S: First timer .. was visiting VA and searching some local breweries and found this one .. parking was a little crazy . Difficult to get a spot.. Once in , we looked at all local brews … there were a couple of them which we loved . Tried it and got the best ones. Loved the yooper dew and 2 cloud 9 ! Absolutely awesome . I ordered 4 pack cans but was stunned with the price . They costed about 25$!! Ufff that’s expensive. Have been to many many brews but never paid 25$ for a 4 pack. If not for the price, I think this brewery is great . If the price was less , I would have given them a 5 ⭐️

BREW GODZ: Nice spot . Drove from Maryland just to try it out . Enjoyed the flights and felt at home while enjoying my beer . This brewery has the space you need with outside seating as well. Beer was amazing btw. Would come back for sure

Conor Terry: Came here to see Mike Jones from DC101 and had a blast. The beer was really good (especially the 2 Cloud 9 ipa) and the brewery staff were friendly. It was great being able to order tacos right there on site too.

Sarah Stubbs: I reached out to Settle Down Easy to see if we could hold a birthday party there. Frank answered my email right away and made everything incredibly easy, including reserving a table for us and allowing us to come in early to decorate. The space is fantastic, the beer is delicious, and the service is superb. Highly recommend this brewery, whether for a party or for casual drinks!

Rachel Murphy: We had a phenomenal experience at Settle Down Easy. A huge thank you to Frank, Hannah & the entire staff for making planning an engagement party such a smooth task. The staff is friendly, welcoming, consistent, and extremely responsive. They provided us with all the information needed to plan our event. Additionally, El Tio provided amazing catering service to our party. Our server consistently checked in on us and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the party. If you’re looking to plan any sort of event, I highly recommend reaching out to their owner, Frank. He welcomed us prior to the event, gave us a tour, and let us sample their beers. Even if you’re not looking to plan an event, I highly encourage you to make a visit to SDE. Their beers, customer service & entire atmosphere are hard to beat. Everyone left happy & excited to return. We will definitely be coming back soon! :)

Atlas Brew Works Ivy City Brewery & Taproom: what do users think?

Traveling Terrezzas: Its a small place inside but they do have a lot of outside options with views of the stadium. I feel like this is one of the places to be before or after a ball game to have some pizza that is reasonable prices and beer rather than spending all your money at the ballpark. The pizza was good and really hit the spot for us late at night. Also tried the flight and we really enjoyed the beer! It was just really loud that my husband and I were screaming at each other but good times!

Ryan Rieboldt: Haven’t had a bad beer from Atlas yet and liked the vibe inside. However I have to give a 4 star for two reasons. The first being location as it is unfortunately in a “sketchier” and not as developed part of Ivy City. The second being that I called ahead to confirm there were stickers, then got there and the staff could only seem to find a dingy old one yet still charged me for it.. idk imho brewery stickers should always be free. I’m always willing to pay for them too, just a bit irritated the one I did pay for wasn’t pristine.

Nate B: We enjoyed this place. We had the lager and pilsner. Both were good. We also had the straight bourbon. It was also good. They do not distill it there but partner with a local distillery close by for it. Staff was great. Head brewer was very knowledgeable and came over to our table to talk about the beers. Decor was nice. I would definitely recommend this place.

M B (M B): Great place and great beer! They have a large outdoor seating area which is amazing in the time of COVID and when the weather is nice :) always a great experience here!

Alejandro H: I have mostly good things to say about Atlas Brew Works. We appreciated their diverse list of brews. Ordered a few flights, so I think we tasted most of their beers on tap. The taproom was clean, and the staff was super friendly. We were able to have food delivered the brewery, which was great since we hadn’t had a chance to eat dinner yet when we arrived. There was stand-up that night, and let’s say it was rough, haha. But that wasn’t any fault of Atlas. I guess this is more of a warning in case you come during stand-up night.

Corinne Goudreault: Really fun spot to try a wide range of unique beer. They also do tours of the brewery. Recommend getting the tasting flight- there are so many wonderful beers to try. Seating is pretty limited so go early, especially if the weather isn’t good and folks aren’t able to sit on the patio. Dog friendly.

Emily Harrison: alana was the best!!! i took my sister there for her 21st and she was the best service!!! service was quick and she was the best!!! ask her her when you get to the front:))

Lake Anne Brew House: what do users think?

Matthew Jackman: Delicious brews, awesome pretzels, and super friendly staff. Frequent rotation of drafts so there is always somrthing to try. If you really like one, you can get cans to go. Perfect view of Lake Anne when relaxing with friends or a brew.

Alejandro H: Second brewery stop yesterday. We both loved the place. Great staff, good brew, delicious pretezel! Plus you have a wonderful view of the water!

nathan riech: Nice little setup of a brewery. Good variety of beers on tap. Good quality. The wheat beer was actually cloudy as it should be so that was a nice surprise. Flavors were on point. Good practices for social distancing. Reasonable prices. Nice views of the water and friendly people.

vinnykster: Lake Anne Brew House is the best thing at Lake Anne :-) Great brews and great friendly vibe! I very much enjoyed the " Live, Work and Play IPA " shown in the pics. :-)

Hillary Severson: Great local brewery that is perfect for nice weather. Beers were delicious (especially loved the sour), and they have a few food options which is nice, too. Staff was pleasant and very friendly. They have expanded their outdoor seating which is awesome but unfortunately when it is is nice out, the outdoor section gets full really quick.

Anthony Sciuto: Cool little hole in the wall overlooking Lake Anne. A decent selection of beers. Limited seating

Jordan P: Love it here! Small brewery, but the staff, beer, and ambience far more than make up for it! So thankful to have this 5 minutes away from me!

Claire Sutter: Great brewery that offers a variety of different styles, beautiful location and very friendly staff. I visited on a recent Saturday, and even though it was my first time there, I was assisted and treated like long time friends right away. It was a pleasant surprise. They also offer Nordic not style big pretzels from a local shop, which were amazing. Thank you for providing such great atmosphere with equally amazing beer.

City-State Brewing: what do users think?

Ryan Rieboldt: Absolutely loved the beers and atmosphere, currently tied as my favorite brewery in DC. Stopped by on a slower weekday night but still enjoyed my time and will definitely be heading back once it gets warmer. It’s located conveniently right off the Metropolitan Branch Trial a bit north of NoMa. The metro going past intermittently in the distance is a nice little city touch with a decent backdrop of lights behind the track. Both the 8 Wards IPA and Edgewood Extra were stellar!

Mischa: This is a great beer spot with great local beers (since this is a local brewpub after all), although I do find it a bit too pricey at 4 dollars for a 7 ounce pour. Nice and creative place overall, in a former industrial space (which makes it even cooler). There are some board games and a few arcade games for people who like them.

Rebecca Wolf: We’re so excited to have a new spot in Edgewood. Great community gathering place with awesome local brews. Redbud is my favorite! Bike, kid and dog friendly!

Jenny Jacobs: Really enjoyed our time there. They have arcade games and skee ball! Appreciated that they have the option of small pours. Wish there were more food options.

Jason Broughton: Great place to relax and have a choice of beer Arcade games, skeet ball and bring your own game night. Does not have food inside but access to food trucks

Caboose Brewing Company & Tavern: what do users think?

Tracy: Great Service, wonderful atmosphere, good beers, ciders and wines, plus the food was more than delicious, but also beautifully presented and a lovely blend of flavors. Visiting on a vacation from Texas and if I return to Vienna, Virginia- I will come back to this restaurant. Thanks for a great first day of vacation! Update 3 days later- returned for brunch and enjoyed a great breakfast with good coffee, mimosas and food. Use the menu QR code and place orders on your phone. It works great! My first and last place visited during my trip. Appreciate the comfort and care!

William Pate: Stopped by to check out the beer selection and was impressed with the selection and quality. Many folks were also eating and the food looked good but we had just had dinner. We had flights and enjoyed all of the varieties we tried. We plan to return.

Jacob Blandford: Come for the delicious beer and stay for the amazing food! I come pretty regularly and always have great food. The biscuits and gravy are some of the best I’ve eaten so think about coming on a Sunday if you want a casual brunch. Beer speaks for itself but I especially like the IPAs and the Pilsner.

John Lin: Among the best breweries that I’ve tried both the atmosphere and food. I loved all the beers that were in our flight. None of them were too overpowering, yet they were all very distinct/unique with their flavors. I got the burger, fries and mac&cheese. My S/O got the Fried Chicken sandwich. Both were excellent in my eyes. The burger was topped with fried onions, cheese, and even gave the option of a pretzel bun. It was cooked medium as requested and was a tad salty, although it complemented the fried onions, cheese, and bun. I loved the variety of texture. The fried chicken sandwich was crispy, yet flavorful. I had little expectations when I saw the image, but it was quite flavorful and complex. I loved the outdoor seating area as well. Very welcoming with the heaters, lights, and location next to a biking trail. Ordering food was streamlined; you can order off your phone using a QR code and have it brought to your table. Edit 3/26/22. I have added some pictures from my second visit. Still great food, service, & atmosphere.

Preston Burns: For a brewery!?, the food is amazing! Completely unexpected. As a foodie I was more than impressed. Locally sourced and from scratch offerings. I had artesian pork bellies from a Maryland farm and Mountain Valley cheddar cheese with fig jam, honey, and cornichon pickles. And paired with delicious beer! I arrived early, 5:00, and parking was not an issue. Friendly staff and patrons. I love that it is located along the W&OD bike path. It will be a stop for a future adventure! 4/8/22- I returned for lunch and had a delicious venison burger (medium rare, added bacon, duh) with fries and a nitro porter. I love the vibe here and the staff are great! I was told that breakfast and weekend brunch is terrific too.

Nadiia Fernandez: What a gem!!! Honestly one of the best breweries in town. The menu is 100% online, you place your order, pay, add more items… EVERYTHING on your phone. Staff 10/10. Location; AWESOME. Food; ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. Beer; AMAZING VARIETY!Will be back!

Nate B: We really enjoyed this place. We had a charcuterie board with 3 different cheeses. It cames with crackers and pickles. All were good. The beer selection was good. Service was good. I would definitely recommend this place.

Kamyar Khozeimeh: Great location and a hidden gems.. For sure a great brewery cozy interior with fresh beer the food is also great

Dave Beebe: Food was very good. Burger was cooked exactly as requested. Beer selection was good also. Fun atmosphere. Was not crowded at all, but was a Thursday afternoon. Staff were helpful and courteous. We ordered using the online app and the food and drinks were delivered promptly. Was a great experience, highly recommended.

Astro Beer Hall: what do users think?

Maretta Batchelor: Julia, Julia, Julia our bartender was awesome. She was very knowledge of all their options and willingly took the time to assist with choices desired and uncertain of. She explained, in detail, the differences between various items on the menu so that we coukd make the best choice for us overall. May I say that the wings were delicious and still burning the corners of my mouth, lol. The fries were heavy and truly filled you up after a few. The Creme Brule was an awesome choice in doughnut that I appreciate her advising me of it and last but not least that chedder biscuit blew me out of this world. I did not have enough space in me to ingest it all but at least I can rock twice tomorrow. Thankibg Julia for her service. It was awesome and appre oates. A must go while here in DC.

Kevin: Great beer hall. Came at the wrong time because of the work crowd. Nevertheless I sat at the bar and proceeded to get great service. Beer selection was good and the Astro Greek Salad was amazing. Cheers to the chef. Will return!

Brian Downey: Great spot with lots of beer options and tasty food. We went on a Saturday afternoon… place was a little understaffed, but bartender Andrea handled the crowd with poise and a positive attitude. She deserves a ton of kudos.

Samantha Horn: I love the beer selection and their special brews (like cherry blossom) are always something fun to try. The staff is great and the downstairs is just the place I want to pull up a seat at. I attended a standup comedy night there recently and had a blast. Definitely try their Mac and cheese bites and a donut if you go!

A small cat (cat): We stopped in here for breakfast in December. We loved the vibe. They had super friendly staff. The hall was old and modern at the same time. Great menu. They had a to go menu or you could sit and it was a bigger dine in menu. We ordered the tator tots, cheddar biscuit, fried chicken honey breakfast sandwich, maple bacon donut and vanilla donut. Everything was awesome. Great flavors. The water was great with no after taste. The only thing negative about this place was the bathrooms did smell bad. I would go here again when I am up in DC next time.

Archie Pollock: Nice friendly service Stopped by for a few beers and the waitress/barmaid was very pleasant. Beers were good. Next time will try their chicken

Gabriel: This place is really fun. Great downtown spot to drink, eat and play games with friends. Chris H. is the best bartender, so kind and helpful. He blew my mind. All of the food items that we tried were fantastic. Fried chicken is definitely the specialty, but the fried pickles, sliders, burgers and everything else was great too. The beer list is diverse and creative. Pool, arcade games, and plenty of table space. Would definitely come back. Exciting menu!

The Midlands Beer Garden: what do users think?

Karen Elise: Our plane arrived early and the Airbnb wasn’t quite ready so we brought our stuff and chilled here. The smell of the food was amazing! We enjoyed the beer, the atmosphere, the food! A wonderful experience

Casey McAllister: We had a great time at the beer garden here. A lot of great beers on on tap and just a fun environment overall definitely will be back.

India Lindsay: Fun casual beer garden with a lively environment and solid drinks. Great beer selection with gluten free options. Lots of tables with both indoor and outdoor seating. Perfect for a Saturday

Jessica Corley: The courtyard is a great place to hang out in the afternoon. There are plenty of beers on the list, and it seems like there are new ones added every once in a while. My only complaint was a table nearby was blowing cigarette smoke in our direction, pretty unusual for DC bars.

Chad Robinson: Great selection of local beers, imports and ciders. Good food, fast service, friendly staff and excellent outdoor seating when the weather is being cooperative. Solid place to grab some brews with friends.

DC Brau: what do users think?

Renee von Behren: Superior service with knowledgeable staff. Hard place to get to with barbed wire around the tanks at the entrance. Kind of a strange place as everything is served in a plastic cup and the interior could use a coat of paint. Beer is still good and the bartenders couldn’t have been nicer.

Jovan Milakovic: Had so much fun at DC Brau parking lot concerts. Great time, great people...

Dane Fergusson: DC Brau “The Public” Pale is one of the best Pale ales I’ve ever had. The hops are balanced to a near non-bitter perfection. As soon, as one thinks about the finish it fades and leaves the drinker wanting another sip.

Jason Gilmore: Pretty good beers but it’s a little difficult to get too. Located in the back of a strip mall in the border of DC and Maryland with few public transportation options around. No dogs allowed inside.

Anthony Oakes Comedian: A cornucopia of beer on tap, kegged, or canned. Grilled food was amazing. Beer was crisp and delish. They had a show there that was awesome.

Michael G: Very helpful and pleasant tour of facilities. One of the best things is at a cup of microbrew is only $5 and a tasting is only $2. I thought the Nitro Porter was the best

Benjamin Ferrufino: Thank you DC Brau for one of the best double IPA out there, the Imperial double IPA. No before or after taste, it is just perfect smooth. Love it, keep up the great job DC Brau.

The Arsenal: what do users think?

Sydney Hackley: The onion ring burger was delicious as well as the homemade tater tots. The ordering system was quite strange though. I wish you could customize things with a special instructions box or have an option to ask for sauce.

Keith Boyea: I miss living near this place. Beer is great and it rotates a lot so you can try new stuff. Food is solid and the vibe is great.

Joshua Yearout: Good beer, average service, big and busy place. Too big for us. One and done.

Michael James: Open modern layout, three casks in addition to a dozen+ taps, I really wanted to like this place but the beer quality was disappointing. Lots of basic onion-y hop-forward beers, and the cask conditioning was in a bad state for both the Mild and Session IPA (flabby and flat in the mouth rather than silky and fine). Service was less than stellar, the bartender seemed disinterested in her job as if serving customers was a burden.

Jeff Saale: Exceptional beer offerings. The list of Bluejacket beers is fantastic. The 4oz tasters allow you to sample so many of their great beers. There are several unique IPAs to try, but do not miss the Tripel, Shaking Through. That might be the best beer on the menu. Twist, was also great, for a sour. Visit during the day for a laid back experience.

tamar mintz: Holy chickpeas, I love this restaurant. Things that you must try: Fried Chickpeas, Kale Caesar Salad (without chicken), Veggie burger. I was not impressed by the Charcuterie (sp?) plate, so I would skip this if you can. I tried the bloody mary, which was good. However, you come here to try the beer. Great selection and I love that you get to choose between a taste and a full pour. Will be back...after baseball season.

New District Brewing Company: what do users think?

Rosie HK: We live so close to this place and had never been! We went on a chill Saturday right before the afternoon crowds came in. Loved seeing all the dogs that are welcome inside and outside. We had the most amazing seltzer which was a cherry limeade blue raspberry (purple drink in the photo). I wish they had it to go but they explained why they couldn’t so we enjoyed what we could have there. My only reason for 4 stars is one of the bartenders was not friendly at all. He had a scowl the whole time and anytime we came up to get a drink and said thank you, he would just walk away. He looked like he rather be anywhere else but there. Maybe he was having a bad day but it soured part of the experience. There was another bartender who was really nice and played some really great music from his playlist and even stopped to chat with us for a bit. Overall, still recommend! Just hope maybe the next time, we’ll get two friendly bartenders.

Nate B: We enjoyed this place. The beers tasted great. It is a small place with a warehouse feel. We had the Irish Red, Kolsch, and Porter. All were good. I would definitely recommend this place.

Samantha Battersby: Great beer and location! Right next to the park! They also open up the brewery (garage door) on nice days. It does get very crowded, especially on weekends and nice days. There is limited seating and parking can be a pain on nice days/weekends. Dogs are allowed in the brewery but they need to be reviewed by the staff before entering! So if you like dogs, beer, and good talks this is the place for you!

Sandi Gohn: Solid experience today at New District. Great vibe, tasty beer, but room for improvement (some of the tables/chairs were kinda wonky and the beer isn’t on the same level as some of its DC rivals but way way way way better than most of Fairfax CO’s beer!). Solid time though! Can’t wait to see how this newbie in the beer scene grows in the coming years. I will definitely be back.

Mike Moyer: Bartenders were super friendly and very knowledgeable about the beer. It is alittle overpriced but that’s what you get for the area.

The Crown & Crow: what do users think?

Christopher Yuen: I was in town for a business meeting and I took a few friends out to this bar on a whim and we had a blast! The bartenders were friendly and the drinks were unique and delicious! I had so much fun I ended up leaving my blazer at the bar. I called the manager Graham a few days later and he mailed it back to me all the way to Connecticut. He’s awesome and this place is too!!!!!

Annie: Cool bar with a chill vibe. Came here on a Monday night at 630 and there were only 2 other groups. Not the typical DC bar. There are a few tables and the bar to sit at. The cucumber mule was really good!

Corey Nolan: Always have a great time in this nostalgic Bar. Brian "Bar Man" has done an outstanding job building his dream. Staff is super friendly and they have stepped up their cocktail game since I last visited. Glad I was able to ring in 2022 in such good company! Thanks C&C team! Stay safe!

Adriana Cortés-Buelvas: I absolutely love the Crown and Crow. Great cocktails and a huge offer on drinks. Great indie rock music, feels like an Irish experience.Graham is the nicest!
