Allison Lau: Usually find everything and anything I need that is kitchen related. Some great set of knives here. An assortment of glassware available for wholesale or individual purchase. Found some tools I needed to make ginger beer as well (cheesecloth, funnel, no homebrew jars though). One of my favorite places in DC

Dominion Electric Supply: what do users think?

Manuel Caballero: Excellent service 👍My special thanks to Mr.Steve An.

DC Voyeur: I went in to get bolts for electrical circuit breaker box for an inspection. The guy behind the counter figured I was not a professional so he charged me the price of a whole package per bolt for 8 bolts. He was showing off how well he could screw someone to prove to a friend how smart he was. This happened years ago and I have never been able to forget this disgusting behavior. Never go there unless you have an account cause they will charge by how much they like you that day. I have NEVER returned no matter how convenient they were to me.

David Roberts: Awesome. They had exactly what I needed even though i did not know what that was and the price was cheaper than online and HD. Sir was very knowledgeable and helpful. I will definitely check with dominion first

Fred Nichols: Everyone is great and friendly, always have what ya need in a timely fashion!!

David Dallaire: Quick service and good prices.

David Cohen: Got exactly what I have ordered and even a drink. Dominion electric supply my go to supply house in DC.

TEk2385: Staff is very helpful and fast

Juan Valladares: Good attention..😀

Best Buy: what do users think?

Kiffa Shirley: Excellent service, clean store, full of big screen TVs ready for Christmas shoppers. If you’ve not been to the Columbia Heights Best Buy, is so convenient to the metro, and other shopping, and it put me in the Christmas Spirit.

Ricardo Matheus: So I walk in to shop for some apple products and I’m not sure if it is because of covid or what but there’s only like 2 people working there. I’m mostly disappointed in how no one tries to help. Not even to tell me to wait a sec because they are busy and they’ll be with me shortly. Just nothing. Not even sure they noticed I was there. Waited and walked around trying to get someone to get me the products I wanted to purchase but I mean, its 2022 I should have known better that service in the US is awful and should have just bought them online. I love Best Buy but definitely never buying anything in person again there. Shout out to the guy at the door, he was very friendly

Lady Elexia: I love best buy as a rule, no matter where I find them. The columbia heights location is nice, but it is a bit on the small side. While I could find the basics, their selection of new items was a bit lack lusture. Customer service is always perfect, at least in my experiences.

Alexis Smith: horrible customer service. I wandered around looking for an employee to ask for help and they all ignored me. Finally someone answered and she said she’d send someone to the home theater section to help me but of course, no one was there. The Best Buy in Tysons is so much accommodating and friendly. If you want a good experience, just avoid this place

Dawn Develin: Mack was amazing. He sat with me patiently and help me with my phone purchase. I very confused and not very savvy with technology and he treated me with respect and help me through every step without getting frustrated. Overall everybody at Best buy has been phenomenal but he went above and beyond.

John Newman: Nobody asked if I needed help. I finally left and ordered what I needed from Amazon. Horrible location. Thugs and hoodlums everywhere. The whole place reeks of pot smoke. Frightening place. There was a "security guard" (I use that term lightly) sitting on level 2 eating potato chips staring at his phone. I was afraid I would be mugged or shot at any time. Avoid at all costs.

Hill's Kitchen: what do users think?

Felicia Adkins: What a great little store. It may look small from the outside but they have a lot of very good quality items in there. And surprisingly fun kitchen finds like state shaped epicurean cutting boards and capital shaped cookie cutters knowledgeable and friendly staff to help you with suggestions. Everything from spices and seasonings to pans and quality knives. What a fantastic local business!

Sam Odle: Excellent selection of kitchen related goods for how small it is. Definitely worth stopping in if you’re looking for something or need a gift.

J Haus: I love this store!! They have pretty much anything you could need as a home cook. They have a great selection of cookbooks, too. The staff are super helpful and friendly.

Barbara Bonessa: Leah Daniels is very helpful and knowledgeable, and has a wonderful shop filled with all things kitchen.

Gabriel Charles Tyler: I’m still relatively new to the DMV area, so I’m always excited to explore new neighborhoods and shops. My friend raves about Hill’s Kitchen, and now I know why! It’s a small space, but it’s quaint and is filled with so many kitchen and household items that you probably wouldn’t find anywhere else. On top of that, the staff members at Hill’s Kitchen exude positivity. And they’re always willing to help you find just the item you’re looking for. For example, all I knew was that I needed a cutting board that I saw at a friend’s house with a “m” on it. The team member who jumped in to assist me immediately knew what I was talking about and she made the cutting board appear like magic. She even went as far to explain to me the price differences. I’m so impressed with the selection and the quality of service! This shop will definitely be at the top of my list from now on.

Meredith Purser: Great store! Leah is always friendly and helpful, and she keeps her store stocked with all the basic (and many not-so-basic) kitchen needs and seasonal desires.

Sarah Snoots: Awesome, awesome, awesome experience from start to finish. Leah is so knowledgeable about every single item in her store and was exceptionally patient while I figured out what type of knives I was looking for. Her expertise and clear explanations helped me really narrow down my options. I look forward to purchasing more cookware in the future because I know —without a doubt— that I can ask Leah and get straight answers. She had all of them! Additionally, she took numerous COVID precautions, including requiring masks covering the nose and mouth of all customers, limiting the number of customers to four (not four “groups” ie households, but four people— full stop.), maintaining an appropriate distance, and ensuring each customer used hand sanitizer upon entering. Highly recommend a trip Hill’s Kitchen for anyone who spends time in a kitchen or home. So. Anyone reading this! Check it out.

Lowe's Home Improvement: what do users think?

Sassy Sauce: Great discounts on Christmas items as part of the holiday sale. I picked up Christmas stockings for under $5.00. There were fire pits on clearance as well. I like this location and they generally have the items I’m in need of for repairs or decorations, etc. The staff is very helpful as well.

Kev- keepingitreal: This location offers a variety of affordable items for your home improvement needs. I really appreciate the staff in the aisle for assisting me with finding items on my check list. At check out the cashier was welcoming and friendly. This store was very clean and offers plenty of parking.

Jessica Fullington: Today I went to the garden center for some outside plants. Yolanda was so very helpful! She was able to answer my questions, she even went and got me a cart so that it was easier for me to get the items I purchased to my car. It is so refreshing to have people who are pleasant and helpful at their jobs I will definitely come back to this location to get all the plants I need this spring! Marla was very helpful as well along with the young man who answered some of my questions about my plans. All around a wonderful experience!

goklt: Lots of materials here. Check out was fast. However good luck asking for assistance. Lots of associates are walking around but not helping customers. I tracked an employee down for assistance in moving materials from a high shelf to store level in the door section. He called two times for assistance to my aisle but no one came and he advised going to customer service. They called and still no help. Had to track somone down in a different department altogether. Crazy.

Chase Johnson: The employees here are courteous. But the wood cutting service they claim to offer is not available when needed. The store should just be candid that wood cutting won’t be available (or at the very least won’t be available at any specific time). I am a local DIYer (not a contractor). Before I bought wood I asked about cutting and was told it was no problem—buy it and then request a cut. I did. I was then told the lumber associate wasn’t available for an hour. I couldn’t get the wood (a single sheet of plywood I needed to cut in half) into my car, so I waited. After an hour, there was still no lumber associate, so the wood was never cut.

Annie Signorelli: I ordered a dishwasher with professional installation and the process from start to finish was completely nontransparent and unprofessional. The installation had to be rescheduled because the dishwasher wasn’t pulled down for pick up in time, and then when it was installed it was the incorrect dishwasher — not even the right brand. After several hours on the phone with the Lowes installation line, including being told multiple times that they couldn’t advance the process because they couldn’t get in touch with anyone at their own Lowes store, I called the store directly and was able to sort it out and get the installation rescheduled. A Lowes associate later told me that they don’t have the “luxury” of waiting on hold with the store which is what I had to do in order to ensure my order was completed. Finally the correct dishwasher was installed on the third attempt and I was told I could contact the installation line again to discuss compensation for the inconvenience. Again it took multiple attempts to even get an update on where my case stood, despite being told every time that I should expect a call back “by end of business” every day I called. When I finally got offered compensation it was for less than half of the amount I requested (I requested the installation service be refunded seeing as it took 3 attempts and I was the one having to set everything up because Lowes did not follow through). While I am satisfied with the product I am in disbelief at how difficult and unprofessional the process was with Lowes. I do not recommend purchasing appliances from installation from this store or using the Lowes installation services.

The Home Depot: what do users think?

Sassy Sauce: I missed all of the after Christmas saw items. This location had a few products left over from Christmas but nothing I really wanted. Overall the store was neat and organized. I didn’t need any additional items for this trip, just preparing for next years holiday decorations.

Chaturbhuj bhojwani: Great shops for home goods, this is very big shop i have been going that HomeDepot for many years i was there very first day when they opened, biggest problem is coustmer service is very bad here i stud for help for more than 20 minutes before someone showed up.

Kev- keepingitreal: This Home Depot is very convenient if you’re in the Rhode Island/Brentwood NE DC Area. They offer a verity of products that can help you with your Lawn, Garden, Appliances, Painting, Outdoor Patio, Home Improvement, Cleaning Products, Tools/Equipment Rentals and many many more. I really Appreciate the help from a young male staff who was working in the Garden/Mulch area, he was very Helpful and Knowledgeable with assisting me with the products along with a young female cashier on the inside of the store. Now you can never get the help you need when you’re in the store aisles. Every time you asked a staff member who’s in the same aisle as you. Can you help me with something? Their reply seems to be, I don’t work over here and they don’t know who can help you..!!! Home Depot needs better training for their staff who’s working in the store aisles..

Bailey Cage: Unfortunately this was the first time I’ve been to a Home Depot where the staff was completely unknowledgeable. I had spent hours online trying to research the best products / methods for tiling my second-story concrete subfloor with no definitive answers, so I decided to head to the store and find someone to help me. Normally Home Depot workers are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, but whoever they sent back to flooring to help me seemed to know nothing. He was able to show me where items were on the aisle, but he couldn’t answer a single question about how to tile my floor or what the differences and pros/cons in products were. It was incredibly frustrating and unhelpful, and I ended up leaving with a couple hundred dollars of products I later had to return. What truly upset me is that I did some more research once I got home just to find out the answer I was looking for is common knowledge in construction, but as someone doing a DIY project, I just didn’t know what terms I had to search for. For a Home Depot employee - the flooring specialist - to not know this is astounding.

jamesbowdenjr: This is the worst Home Depot is in the entire country. I am trying to get a door, but the store is unresponsive, the management is inept and provides no additional assistance, the associates are extremely slow, unknowledgeable of the products. The worst customer service experience I have ever had. I do not recommend this store. Please go to another Home Depot location.

Anna Lloyd: Desmond in the home and garden went out of his way to help us find something that 4 different employees had just shrugged their shoulders and said that even though it was available online they were probably out. Desmond knew exactly where it was and showed us himself, even though it was on the complete other side of the store. He really took customer service to the next level.

DAVID GILL: paint dept vert slow. When paint was done I was not told it was done. I came up to the counter and stood there waiting while emotes helped others. After 10 minutes he pointed at can. I said is that mine he looked at me like Duh.

Chanpen Tee: I came here for the kitchen cabinets project. The lady is so helpful and friendly. She takes her time explaining all the questions we have.

Target: what do users think?

Chaturbhuj bhojwani: Very nice and clean store parking available in the basement, Only problem always low on the food inventor and produce and grocery.

Cliodhna MacFadden: We purchased the Element 65” TV, and after 3 days the backlight broke. We tried everything to fix it. Without a box or receipt in hand, we brought it back to see what may be possible to do. Associates TK, Nicole S, and Anton were able to use the debit card used to purchase to look up my receipt to get our return sorted. We so appreciate them going truly above and beyond to show us their compassion and excellent customer service.

Jasmine Thomas: Mobile Tech Has A Rude Raspy Voice Lady Working There. Ms.Kathy Is Extremely Unprofessional & Doesn’t Know What She Is Talking About. She Lied & Told Me That An AT&T Phone Was Unlocked. The Phone Wasn’t Unlocked & I Was Trapped In A Contract. I Explained To Her That I Wanted A Unlocked Phone & She Insisted On Telling Me The Phone I Bought Full Price Was Unlocked, Yet I’m Getting Stuff In My Email Saying I Have A Contract That I Have To Pay Off My Phone. Her Attitude Is Stank & She Never Has Her Mask Up On Her Face. Columbia Heights Target Do Better, Her and Her Unprofessional Ways Are Bringing Your Company Down Tremendously. I Will Be Reaching Out To Corporate!

Shayna Deverman: Dirty, unorganized, extremely low stock on everything. Items thrown everywhere, picked over. Shoe isle was a disgrace. Nice they have an “Ulta”, but very limited items. Took me several minutes to figure out where body wash was. Haircare, travel, makeup is all grouped together in the front/middle-like typical but body wash/deodorant was clear on the end of the store. Terrible flow. All that looking and they had very limited washes! Men’s selection had more to choose from. Went in there with a very basic list and got one thing on it… my nearest Walgreens was more helpful…disappointing since I love me a Target trip. I won’t be back to this one.

Adah Deveaux: This review is for the starbucks within target. My drinks were great but a little of a wait. The actual target was customary.

Thomas Nali: NO PARKING VALIDATION Poor inventory. This is on a regular old Monday. I asked for the product I was looking for, they checked in the back, and said it was too hard to get to and another employee would work on it, but they don’t know how long it will be. This was at almost noon. Look at how few dairy products are on the shelf. Staff continued to prove unhelpful. I asked four different employees where a type of product was and they each told me to find someone who worked in that dept. OR they just told me they “probably don’t have it” WITHOUT even looking or bothering to find where it should be!! They tried to walk off but I said I am not satisfied until we find the shelf where it should be, and I’ve been looking for fifteen minutes. Took all of that to get some help finding one little thing.

Sade Wilson: I was shopping today at the Washington D.C target store and was purchasing gift for my family I found some nice things and for a really good price. I went to check out and the items were ringing up different from what the price was upstairs I explained to the cashier he called for a manager. The manager name tiffany came and refuse to change the price the for two of the items but change it for the other too items. I continue checking out because I didn’t want to wait to long after I was done checking out I went upstairs to take pictures to show the manger she still refuse and walk away.

Donna Walker: Buyers we aware the prices in Target are going up every week and its terrible and make sure you know the prices of your items because the shelf price and the register price can be different at times. Security was following me for no reason so I had t let him know you are following the wrong person. I catch more people stealing at Target and I do not work there. Also, some of the employees are so rude. I will be recording my conversations with the employees when I need to ask for help as proof of how rude some of them can be.

Glover Park Ace Hardware: what do users think?

Sam C: This is a great hardware store. Staff is helpful, selection quite decent, and right in my neighborhood. Could I save a little bit of cash by driving out to the deep burbs for the Home Despot or similar? Sure, but would I? Absolutely not. Icing on this cake: they always accept my Ace coupons, even if past their expiration date. Now that is ace in my book.
Response: We are so glad to have loyal customers like you who understand the value of shopping and supporting local businesses in our community. Looking forward to seeing you in store again soon! Thanks for shopping with us.

MAC Cover: I am rating Glover Park Ace location a 4 because the gentleman who assisted me was very nice in spite of this mean nasty new world we live in. The only issue I have was I placed my order for curbside but the store was unable to locate the order which caused me to go inside the store which I loathe. Love my Ace Hardware!
Response: Dear MAC, thanks so much for taking the time to share your positive experience! We're thrilled that we can be of service at Glover Park Ace Hardware. We look forward to seeing you again soon! Thanks for shopping local and supporting our employee-owned store.

Campbell F: I love this place! The staff is usually super knowledgeable and helpful and you start to feel so collaborative that you want to come back and show them the results!
Response: Thank you Campbell! We are glad to have customers like you who shop and support our store and staff. We look forward to helping you with your next project!

Matthew Berning: Good use of a small space, reliable place to pick up supplies for small home projects and interesting plants -though sometimes a bit disorganized
Response: Thanks for taking the time to leave a review! Glad we're your reliable neighborhood place for your home improvement and maintenance needs.

Rozan Cater: Although I requested curbside pickup, I had to go in the store. I was the only customer, tired of waiting I got the item from the shelf, showed the cashier and left. I seem to have interrupted break time. Not worth it!
Response: We're sorry to hear you had a negative experience Rozan - this is not a common occurrence at our stores and unfortunately we were a little short staffed over the holidays due to health concerns. Since we're in basement level, it can be challenging to step off the floor during certain times of the day when staffing is limited. We do have free validated parking in the lot behind our store if you find you need to pop in for a minute. Your comment was passed along to our manager who will review with his team. We value you as a customer, thanks for shopping and supporting our employee owned business.

John Thompson: The store staff was very helpful in locating some small clips that I needed to create a display
Response: Glad to hear our staff could help! Thanks for shopping local at our store.

Jennifer B: I was surprised to see what a huge store was hiding here! Super helpful employees, too.
Response: So glad you found us Jennifer! We have a Greta team. Thanks for shopping with us- we’re always for you anytime you need help!

Hugo Toledo: Not gonna lie: one of the best places to go when I was in DC helping loved ones move in to a new place. Look: big box stores have their place but the number of folks available to answer questions and the depth of attention and knowledgeable service we consistently received on our 3…4 trips there make it a favorite. Check them out!
Response: We are so glad to hear from you Hugo, we appreciate your business and kind comments. We look forward to helping you with your home improvement needs again soon!

Logan Hardware: what do users think?

Paul Durbin: If you want service and quick check out go to True Value on 17th. Completely different experience with knowledgeable staff ready for you at the door who will help you and then check you out right away. 100% of the true value staff knows their stuff. Here it’s mainly people who will just check you out and don’t know hardware. This place has equally good inventory and later hours, but it’s not a hardware store experience. And for what it’s worth this is an Ace Hardware, which advertises on Fox News, should you want to avoid supporting Fox.

Jim Parrett: Went there to get glass cut and paint matched. l was pleasantly surprised how helpful and courteous the whole staff were. They were able to take care of what I needed so I could finish my project. Thank you!!!
Response: We’re so glad to hear this Jim- thank you for trusting our team with your DIY needs. And thank you for shopping and supporting our employee owned store!

Aja Navat: Friendly staff and large selection of things. It is two floors.
Response: Aja, thanks for the great review! We love that your Logan Ace Hardware experience is a good one! Thanks for sharing, shopping local, and spreading the word about all that our employee-owned store has to offer. We look forward to seeing you again soon!

Jacob Goo: So this is super weird but they sell the best cream soda at the counter. I love ace for being small hardware with a little bit of everything. Thx!
Response: Dear Jacob, we're delighted to hear about your experience at Logan Hardware and so glad you love our cream soda! Thanks for shopping local and we look forward to seeing you soon!

John Trissel: Good hardware store! parking may be challenging. They have a good selection for most small projects and gardening needs
Response: Dear John, thanks for the kind words! We are glad that you find what you need at Logan Ace Hardware. We know you have choices when you shop, and we truly value your business. Thanks for shopping local at our employee-owned store! We look forward to seeing you again soon.

Robert Bolen: This store is full of caring people and fantastic tools. On two separate occasions, Jorje has gone above and beyond to help me find the perfect solution. It is wonderful to have a local place where experts provide guidance in a kind, nonjudgmental manner.
Response: This is the best review we can hope for - it means a lot when our customers reach out about our staff and store. Thank you for shopping and supporting local at our store, have a wonderful holiday season!

Williams-Sonoma: what do users think?

Yx C: I usually shop at Tyson location and love them a lot. This holiday season I shop at both Clarendon and Tyson locations, and will not go back to Clarendon location again because the staff there was not friendly and did not ask if you need the receipt or gift receipt, when I ask for one, the staff looked impatient. Before I came in, I called for checking an item, got hold by a lady who worked there for 10 minutes and finally hung up on me without telling me if they have that item in store. Not a pleasant shopping experience at this location.

Ebanisha Pegues: Very poor customer service, I went in around 7:35 pm, I just that’s near closing time, anyway I walk in the store, there where 2 ladies behind the registers , they never once greeted me as I browsed around the store . They look but never once spoke.which made me feel extremely unwelcome and to put the icing on the cake I walked out at 7:48pm , one of the associates walked behind me with a Stern look and lock the doors. I guess she was ready to go home. Which fine I will not spend a dime we’re I’m Obviously not wanted.

Greg Allen: The customer service at this store is horrific. They made an even exchange extremely difficult (same brand, size, price, etc., just a different style/pattern). I would highly suggest shopping elsewhere. If there are any issues with your purchase, they’ll likely tell you to call the 800 number, which is time consuming and frustrating. After reading some of the other reviews, I agree completely with the ones that indicate that the Manager is extremely rude. Maybe that’s the root cause of all of these complaints.

Joshua Llodrat: Just visited this store to pick up a gift item I ordered. Quickly prepared my item in one day with gift wrapping which was done nicely. I needed a rolling pin but couldn’t find online so the associate Anh allowed me to come in and browse for a rolling pin. He was very friendly and provided perfect professional customer service. I would definitely come back to this location when in the area again. Thank you for your help! I recommend this location!

Kelsey E: Drinks were not good, glasses smelled like they were cleaned with a dirty rag.

Anthony Salinas: As a huge fan of William and Sonoma, I was not impressed with the professionalism of the General Manager. After visiting multiple times and making purchases, I had the opportunity meeting her when asking about a product. Her off putting demeanor and lack of time to offer assistance was extremely unprofessional. I’ve worked with many associates in the past and did not experience a “ I don’t have time for your because I am the General Manager experience.” After addressing my concerns with other associates they indirectly told me “she is always busy.” What a sad experience. I give three stars because the associates are very helpful and friendly.

Natalia Gallo: Extremely poor customer service. I brought back an electronic salt shaker ( I did not wanted money back, nor exchange, just may be the courtesy of an small credit towards it, because it worked only for a few weeks) I was also buying another $250 of small appliances. The staff only told me that the policy is 30 days return, and that was nothing they could do. I politely told them thank you and I left all my purchases behind. Went across the street to Crate and Barrel and bought all the same stuff and more (spent over $ 300 ). Shame, when you spend thousands of dollars regularly in one brand, is dissappointing to receive such poor treatment for a $15/20 thing. Needless to say I won’t ever shop there again!

Bed Bath & Beyond: what do users think?

Jack Scott: First visit to this location got what I was looking for plus purchased a few more items staff was very helpful on the phone and in the store inside was clean and well stock 👍 really enjoyed my visit

Carlos Angel-Luciano-Harris: The staff is incredibly helpful and they get you through the checkout pretty quickly. Great sales and great smells. Check them out.

Matthias Galan: Customer care at this location is super unhelpful. Brought in a broken item got yelled at and was refused to replace the item today.

Margot Igland Skarpeteig: Nice selection, decent prices and - last but not least - superb service from all staff we encountered. In particular, I wish to thank Carl Dunking who went out of his way to help us. We carried several bags and asked him if it was hard to get a taxi from there. He put all our our bags in a shopping cart, brought it out in the street and stopped a taxi for us. All with a friendly smile. Thank you so much, Mr. Carl Dunkin! (I hope I got your name right.) You made our shopping experience a breeze!

Martin Gross: Love Beyond the Bed and Bath. Great products, that foes with any mood or feelings that is felt for the day and night.

Patrick: The people working do not wear the masks appropriately - mouth covered, nose not. One employee was kind enough to put more disinfectant wipes for the carts after asked him to. Cool products and great place to get small sized items for travel.

Petworth Ace Hardware: what do users think?

danceswithcars w: While the renamed store still hosts TheBikeHouse on the edge of the parking lot and tools inside, not much else has changed, afaict, still kind of unpaid day laborers in relation to a for profit store. When at Qualia it was coffee/light foods and taking over the back yard. This tools, supplies and learning some basic mechanics. How to change a flat. How a ratchet works. On up through what can be done with bikes... At times I wish TBH would takeover a foreclosed property and have a home... Until then I guess buy cold sweet liquids while baking to death in the heat without bathroom nor filtered cold water access. FWIW I was at the (original) opening with council member(s), food truck, etc. District HW (w 🚲), old Capital Hill Fragers that burned, saw deceased mayor there, etc.

Mark Pry: Excellent hardware store in the Petworth area that typically has everything I need. The staff are friendly and helpful. Chris was especially helpful when I needed to grab a few bags of mulch!
Response: It’s so kind of you to leave this review Mary, thank you for shopping and supporting our store! We will make sure our manager knows Chris provided exceptional service. Have a wonderful day, we look forward to helping you in store on your next visit!

Kerry Keys: Staff have been friendly and helpful to me on several occasions. Chris was a great help recently when I needed to find the right size screw for my bike rack.
Response: Thank you Kerry! We are glad to have customers like you who shop and support our store and staff.

Denise W: Same nice store but they got rid of my favorite guy, Steve, who had been at that location for years. No one there has the knowledge he had.
Response: Thanks so much for the kind words about the store and for one of our knowledgeable Petworth Ace Hardware staff! We pride ourselves on being the helpful hardware folks and are always training new staff to try and fill the shoes of those who go on to pursue other opportunities. Thank you for the feedback!

mat t: Great having a shop close to home, open on Sundays, have what I want, friendly staff and not expensive. Done and back to the game! Thanks Ace and jneely!
Response: Thanks Mat! Love to hear we can get you the products you need with the convenience of being in the neighborhood. We hope you'll stop by and see us again soon.

James Rayford: The service was horrible. After standing in the isle for 8 to ten minutes I had go get someone and his response was go get it bring it here. Then finally coming to help with one item only he disappeared. So I walked out.
Response: HI James, thank you for taking the time to leave this feedback. We rely on customers like you to ensure our store continues to be a neighborhood resource for our community. I am passing your comments along to our store manager, who will address this with his team. Fridays are our truck days and our staff is often tasked with multiple projects to ensure the products make their way to the shelves, but that does not excuse the kind of service you described. We expect the best from our team and we're disappointed to hear you received anything less than what's promised. Please feel free to send any additional comments or information to our manager directly at toby@acehardwaredc.com. We want to make this up to you and hope you'll stop by and give us another chance.

Ian C: Great selection and friendly staff. Chris helped me find the weird bolt I was looking for very quickly!
Response: Hi Ian We’re happy to hear you had a great experience and are pleased with the workmanship. Thanks for taking the time give us the wonderful review. We appreciate your trust and look forward to serving you again soon.

James Knupp: Everyone is always friendly when I go, Chris in particular has helped me out quite a bit.
Response: Thank you James, for shopping and supporting local (and for the staff shoutout)!

Rinaldo Pressley (Rinny): Nice Hardware store in the neighbourhood prices as low as the Big competitors.
Response: Rinaldo, thank you for taking the time to share your kind words about Petworth Ace Hardware. We value your business and look forward to seeing you again soon!

Williams-Sonoma: what do users think?

Michelle: friendly staff :) helped me get the best cleaning supplies for my machine

Robyn Porter: Wow! A+ service. Back story: I’m not a “gadget girl” but one of my BFFs sang the praises of Williams~Sonoma’s Beville pizza maker. This afternoon I popped into WS a snapped up the pizza maker and a couple jars of sauce, then stopped by Harris Teeter for some pizza toppings. Dinner was going to be delicious! When I got home I immediately opened the pizza maker box only to discover complete horror! The pizza maker had been used...and by used I mean food crusted in the corners, a burnt pizza stone and an interior top that was black as soot. Yikes! Of course I immediately called WS and told them the situation. The store clerks were profusely apologetic, so much so one of them left the store to bring me another pizza maker! That’s first rate service! Not only did the clerk show up with another apology and the pizza maker, she gave me a book of delicious pizza recipes. They made a bad situation better without the blink of an eye. A class act and superior customer service!

Javier Gonzalez: I just wanted to give a shout-out on an awesome time I had in the store. I came into the store to buy some seasoning. There was a lovely lady who greeted me and gave me recommendations on which were the best to use for the chicken dinner I was planning to surprise my girlfriend with. She also took the time to answer questions about kitchen knife maintenance I had. Thank you Jennifer for your help.

Jordan Toellner: This was an excellent experience! We went to get a new set of all-clad cookware and had the pleasure of working with Jill to find exactly what we needed. Her honesty and recommendations were greatly appreciated and spot on! If you need to buy anything from W-S, go to this location and ask for Jill :)

Marie Zurie: Rude employee. Take your money elsewhere.

Vishal Sinha: This is a good location for Williams-Sonoma - right in the heart of Bethesda shopping district. Ample county parking available nearby. The street gets busy and the store is busy too. Tight spaces around the store - but that is expected at a location like this. The staff is friendly and helpful when needed. They do provide good recommendations and opinions on products - very educative! They have the regular products and also quite a few of the Williams-Sonoma only products (much before other stores). Overall good location for Williams-Sonoma :)

Will Prinn: Very rude staff. I approached the counter for some help, and all three associates were talking among themselves. I was unacknowledged. Unsure if they saw me, I moved closer to them. All three made eye contact with me and then went back to what they were doing. I waved at them, and again all three looked at me and then went back to what they were doing. I understand being busy at work, but why not say hello? Very unprofessional. I was helped eventually, but I will certainly not be returning to this store.

Sur La Table: what do users think?

Fonsetta Badger Brown: The cooking class was loads of fun. Pressure cooked short ribs, mushr!ooms risotto and cheesecake with caramel sauce.. The instructor was awesome!

Tatiana Padilla: Finally got to do a class in person after joining several virtual ones, we LOVED the experience! It was my Christmas gift to my mom and best friend, it was fun— delicious— and they couldn’t wait to try the recipes at home. Lots of hands on practice, PLENTY of food, and the chef+assistant we’re very engaged and kind. Excited to be back in two weeks for Italian steak night 😋 A few ways the class could be improved: —I ’ve grown up in the US since I was 5yoa, and even I had a bit of hard time understanding the prof. He spoke a tad bit fast/muffled. — offer BYOdrinks, we were sad to be drinking water with such a nice meal. — groups of 2-3 max per station so everyone has a chance to help with the prep. Our group of 3 had 2 stations and we felt that was PERFECT! Wouldn’t want to be 4 people to one station.

Rasha Sharif: Zero for customer service! The lady named Donna was terrible! She did not ask me for my email to add the amount I purchased toward my perks program. She was cold and did not hide her racism from the beginning! I love Sur la table but this was annoying. I want my perks added!! Edit: I love sure la table and I shop online ! This was my first time to stop at the store next door and I was disappointed :(

Alexis McCoy: I loved the cooking class (steak frites, 01May22) the instructor was very knowledgeable and provided tips for other meals with similar ingredients. Would love to do it again.

L. Charisse Davis: I was looking for some upscale corn holders. They did not have any like that. I started looking around at other things, like cloth napkins. They had some nice ones. But others appeared a bit shopworn (dirty) and were not marked down. I had a hard time swallowing the prices of the "new" ones, much less the shopworn ones that were the same prices. I guess made of linen in India costs more than made in China. 🤭 It is a beautiful store, both inside and out (loved the beautiful potted plants outside), and it does have some nice things--baking pans, appliances, kitchen tools, etc.--just not what I was looking for. Oh, and the staff was very pleasant and tried to be helpful.

Cynthia Davis: My friend and I came here for the pasta cooking class with Chef Scott. It was absolutely incredible we couldn’t stop talking about it all the way home. The instructor was incredibly knowledgeable and fun and all the food was delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our girls night out and we will definitely be back for more classes!

Kyle D: The staff is friendly, helpful, but will let you shop if you want to alone. You can get really high end knives and cookware ($1600+) here!

Jay Empty: So much fun learning to make sushi tonight with Chef Cacchiitti and my table partner Adele.

Target: what do users think?

Sassy Sauce: This store opened a couple years ago and it’s always nice and clean. The day I went after work the store must have just received a truck because there were boxes of product on most of the aisles. But this store is generally very clean and organized. This isn’t a normal sized target though, it’s definitely smaller and has more of a convenient store type feel. But all of the normal Target staples are still there. There is parking under the store and it’s accessible using the escalators or elevator. There is a Starbucks as well. It’s a great store to visit!

Amreen Shafiuddin: poorly managed target.. no one knew answers for anything. customer service was poor. stocking issues in all the aisles. boxes everywhere.. the food items especially bread section don’t have best before stickers on them. when questioned, they just saw each other faces. poorly managed.

Mysiki X Valentine: Whoa! Let me begin on a positive. There is a cashier (older Black woman) Joan, who is the most pleasant staff worker. However, the younger staff can often be found tucked away on phones, having side conversation and etc..so finding help is always difficult. In addition, the customer service could never be described as friendly. But it does not end there, this is one of the worst Target’s I’ve ever went shopping. The store shelves stay empty. I recently order Beats headphones online for pick-up, I was emailed saying my order was ready—but when I got to the store the manager cancelled my order, stating the item was not in the store. Long behold, I walked to the back and there sat 3) pairs of the same item I came to pick-up. Her attitude was out of this world, I couldn’t believe she worked in customer service. No matter what time of the day, the aisles have carts full of products yet to be put away. Makes the store seem chaotic and disorganized. If it’s a quick stop, I’d advise going elsewhere. Looking to do serious shopping, never stop here. To end on a positive the food section is normally well stocked and presented nicely.

Kareem Carter: Lets start by saying I am appreciative of having a Target in this area of DC. The parking facility is safe and well lit, the store was reasonably stocked and clean. My gripe is with the professionalism of the management and the completely ineffective way they run the checkout line. they funneled everyone through one line and when several customers skipped the single line and went straight to the register, they were allowed to do so.....causing frustration to the other customers in the line. This was brought to the lead employees attention and she sarcastically dismissed my frustration. They should really signage up on how the checkout line works!

Erin Truax: I have been to this Target a few times because it is the most convenient for me (and parking is easy) but I always leave feeling very frustrated. There are constantly boxes of inventory waiting to be unpacked that are blocking the aisles and many shelves are often missing product. I have shopped at different times and on different days, but this seems to be on ongoing issue for this location. If you’re able, I recommend a different location.

J Por: Went in for some quick toys for my nieces and nephew. Turned in to their Loss Prevention racially profiling my partner, and followed us around the store the entire time for 60 dollars worth of merchandise, part of which, we had to find an employee to get. We initially went in to make a return, and unfortunately had the idea to shop the last bit of our list. Workers letting people (guy in a blue hoodie was wearing a red shirt so possible employee?) walk around without a mask even though DC has a mandate, and the stores inventory is always in the way. Should have been more concerned following him to give him a mask instead of two people who were in your store less than 25 minutes. Overheard an employee talking about managers asking the team to get tested because of a potential positive employee. Overall, the worst experience I’ve had by far. I’ve been a consistent customer for three years, but no more. This location is best avoided. Trust me.

livingmytruth 2: Joan has the best customer service ever. I came in this location with my 98 year old grandma and she made my grandma feel sooo good and proud and she really has a positive attitude. Thank you for making my grandmother’s shopping experience so pleasant . I will actually make this my home store now because of her pleasant demeanor

Aaron Blackmon: Have you ever wondered what it would be like to go to a Walmart that is all red and has Target signs? Well wait no longer! This will fit the bill. The validated parking is a mess. The store is never stocked but simultaneously stocking everything at once and the lines are NEVER open. I only went there after learning my initial lesson months ago because it’s so close and I wanted to get a few things but even still it wasn’t worth it.
