Big Planet Comics: what do users think?

Ian Grossberg: Wonderful comic shop with such a wide selection in such a small space. And apparently Big Planet does their own publishing!

Frank Chatterton: Nice, small, actually smaller than I expected but nice selection particularly for indy and local books. Not really worth the trip out there if you are an out of towner... like myself but the walk there from metro service is nice and the store is well kept, clean, organized and well stocked with a nicely curated selection of books. (I do not mean nice in a mean way its more like a cute hipster version of a classic comic shop)

Marissa: Great place to get comics, they have some good manga too!

Leo Lancaster: great selection atmosphere! The woman running the shop was very kind and knowledgeable.

Howard Smith: Big Planet Comics on U Street is amazing. They have a large selection of comics, trade paperbacks, and more to choose from. They also have variant covers of various comics that might interest you. This establishment is also for both new and regular comic fans alike.

Kristian Kapler: If you're looking for trades, you may find what you need. Recent issues are fine as well, but there are NO back issues or any kind of memorabilia. So if you live in the DC area and wanna keep up with the latest Alien comics by Marvel I think you'll be ok.

Nicholas Moy: Best spot in the city hands-down. Love the local zine rack, their community focused events and helpful staff. This is NOT the straight-white-man hellscape of comic shop cliche - its apparent they work hard to find content for all audiences. The spot is small but they can order whatever you need!

Terri A: Great selection. I found a number of graphic novels that I have been looking around for, as well as being introduced to several new titles. The comics are shelved by genre, which is really helpful. I was particularly impressed by their Graphic Medecine selection, as those can be hard to find. You can also flip through a rack of comic zines. The store is up a steep flight of stairs and definitely not wheelchair accessible.

Kevin Duy: i bought two comic books for 8 bucks! one was crisis on infinite earths and the other was avengers reunited. good energy for comic book fans.

Jonathan Brier (wolfgang8741): A very small comic shop, but contains a fantastic variety in the available space. It is purely a comic and graphic novel shop, if you're looking for a selection of collectables, board games, an other entertainment gifts found at larger comic book shops this is not the location for you. The shop is a mere two rooms in what appears to be a converted row house that contains other businesses as well. There are fairly steep stairs for entry into the building.

Fantom Comics: what do users think?

James Bacon: Nice shop with a great selection of current comics and graphic novels. Some nice displays and thoughtful art on the walls. Not a back issue store, per se, they had recent issues, and a solar box, but ample to enjoy and find, excellent selection for kids. Friendly staff for sure.

Andy Benavente: Awesome shop! Great selection of graphic novels and current comics! The young woman behind the counter was very helpful and provided some great recommendations from the writer of the book I picked up. Would highly recommend to stop in and check out!

Paul Scarborough: Polite and quiet staff offered help that much I can say. 1st and last visit I shall do however, no stock of anything. Find it amazing a comic shop has only 3 issues of something so common and popular a character as Spider-Man. I’d describe this more as an indie comic book shop carrying more less popular characters. Hardly any backstock and the stuff they did have was shoved in a box and damaged without bags and borders

Luis Pantoja: Great comic book store with friendly and knowledgeable staff. I have always had a positive experience when visiting this shop. I highly recommend it!

Kevin Xu: Great selection of mainstream and emerging comic artists, with a wide variety of genres. I personally got a copy of Djelia by Juni Ba, something you can't get from a Barnes and Noble or Books a million, atleast in the NOVA area Staff are super helpful in trying to find what you're looking for, and the hallway always smells like fresh bread thanks the Subway nearby

Michael Kellar: Awesome little comic shop. Friendly staff, comfortable environment to look around, read a comic, and explore. If you’re in the area and looking for a space to check out some of the more recent interesting comics, definitely a good spot to check out.

J Foodgeek: Good selection, but mainly I'm rating it well because the two kids working there today were super nice and willing to talk about anime. Today was the first time I went there. They even have a few board games. Also, there are sometimes some freebies on the left when you walk in, like I saw a movie poster once, a marvel calendar once, and they usually have den of geek magazines out.
Response: Thanks for stopping by and we hope to see you again soon! And thanks for the great review!

Kamal C: @Fantomcomics in #washingtondc #dupontcircle is most definitely a place you would want to visit bo matter if you are a DC native or just visiting. Fantom Comics is among my favorites of all places to spend a little time, some things that makes this place cool is the chill layout, the little knickknacks, collectables, pins, snacks and more... even if you dont collect comics this place has something for everyone.😎👍🏻 "" Hey everyone this is kamal and I like to do reviews in my spare time from work and if you enjoy any of my post please like with a thumbs up and follow me on here on Google Maps or Instagram @chefkamalc Thanks and stay safe 🙏 mask up 😷
Response: Hi, Kamal. Thanks for the kind review! We appreciate your support. Hope you can visit us again soon. Cheers!

R KM: Great spot. Nice selection and “subscription” service. Check the bargain boxes for scores (some at only $1)

Jonathan Mckay: Lovely little comic book store with a fun rating system for new releases, staff picks, events and custom grab bags

Victory Comics: what do users think?

Steve Carle: Friendly helpful staff. Huge selection of Magic and pretty good selection of Pokemon. Tons of singles as well. They do Magic drafts Friday at 630 and Sat & Sun at 12. There was also a big table and boxes of discount stuff.

Ted Kidwell: Went to the shop on Tuesday for the first time picked up a couple nice items and we already gone through the make an appointment to meet with her appraisers to sell some items and we did pretty good there too they are very knowledgeable staff and they are fair on their prices and they're good on what they offer you as well they have toys and games and surprisingly some items that you wouldn't think they would have had if you're in the collecting Market to comics and toys for games and that a little trinkets give them a try here we like them they're very conveniently located easy to get to and easy to find you'll be very pleased we highly recommend

Robert: The folks at this comic shop are the BEST! My daughter and I came in because she wanted “a nature comic about sloths” and I was looking for some of the new Magic the Gathering cards. After we completely befuddled the friendly person working the front desk, my daughter took a seat to rest and I went card shopping, figuring such a task would not be fulfilled on this day. Well, as the equally lovely person at the rear desk answered all my questions and showcased various products, the valiant front desk attendant tracked us down with A NATURE COMIC WITH A SLOTH IN IT!!! Quest fulfilled! Not only did my daughter get her comic, but I pulled some truly exceptional cards from the bundle I had purchased. Five stars are not enough for this crack squad. Kudos all around.

David Collier: A very well organized store with a great deal of selection. Only issue i had was when I dropped off some MTG cards for possible sale and was quoted $300. Sold the same cards to Card Kingdom for over $800. Either that final sale was far too generous or Victory low balled their "offer" in an attempt to pull a fast one. If you're looking to sell a collection, always get a second appraisal and offer. Lesson learned.

Daniel Hernandez: The staff here are the worst. They treat you like trash even when you're a paying customer. They roll their eyes and get mad when you ask if they have a product. I walked in for the first today and I was so excited and amazed. Gots a few packs and the staff was rude to me and my brother. The owner needs to know his staff treats his paying customer like trash. I'm never going there again. The place is nice but do not expect anything for the employees.

Vinny Sivaraman: Big store. Very good selection. I bought quite a few Pokemon cards for my Son and some other items I haven't really been able to find online.

Tom Luna: I’ve played a this location several times before however last night was my last one. I don’t like writing negative reviews unless people really deserve it. First of all the prices on single cards are very high at this location compare to other stores and on TCG but that’s not why I’m writing this review the main reason I gave this location 1 star is because of Steve the guy who runs the magic events. He is arrogant, condescending, rude and disrespectful I guess he forgot the people that play at this store pay his salary! His demeanor and attitude is awful he acts like he is doing us a favor by him being there! Unfriendly and unapproachable. Next time I’m Norther VA I’ll go to the store in old town Fairfax. I’ve been playing magic since I was in the Army and I had the opportunity to play in different stores in different states but this guys attitude is by far the worst and like I said IT IS NOT THE FIRST TIME THIS HAPPENED.

Jake Davison: Very nice comic and hobby shop in Falls Church. They have a great supply of new and back issues of popular Marvel/DC and more. I would say that their prices for back issues are a decent bit higher than surrounding shops however. But a counterpoint is they seem to have a larger collection due to it. Lots of various collectibles, statues, and action figures ranging from GI Joe to Star Wars and more. They also have a nice gaming section, with lots of D&D, and also one of the few stores to carry Star Wars Armada. Only other negative is that there is very limited parking. Staff was very nice, but didn't have much interaction due to it being quite busy on a Saturday.

Brenna Miaira Kutch: Fantastic local comic shop, very LGBT friendly and selections for all ages, plus a ton of board games, figurines, and other fun collectables. Staff are super nice and if you're looking for something, you can call ahead and ask or they'll order stuff for you. Support local businesses!!

Natasha Trock: I love this place. Excellent books and staff. Very LGBTQ positive. Got to get over there more

Alliance Comics: what do users think?

Surinporn Bridge: I want to start off by saying that I really appreciate having a local comic book store in the neighborhood, I've been coming here for years on and off to buy independent graphic novels. For the most part the staff is friendly or leaves you to your own, however last Saturday I had a rather frustrating experience that left me feeling deeply uncomfortable as a woman and lover of comics. A super friendly and helpful clerk there was trying to assist me in finding graphic horror novels since they didn't have any of the titles I came in looking for. He brought up some half priced comics from the basement and out of the handful of options provided I only wanted one of them. I also picked up two full price comics from upstairs. However, when I went to go downstairs to return the half price novels I didn't want to buy (in an attempt to also not offend the clerk who had recommended them to me) I was immediately met with accusatory hostility by a person I am assuming is the manager or owner. He immediately accused me of trying to take merchandise downstairs for criminal purposes and then continued to give me the third degree while I was at the register just trying to pay for my books. He asked why I was going to the basement with upstairs books, I had gotten the downstairs books upstairs without going down there since he had clearly been watching me. As a woman in a space that was entirely populated by men, it was HIGHLY uncomfortable. He made sure everyone in the store heard his interrogation of me and I felt like I had been being watched by this person since I stepped foot in the door. He questioned every action I had taken within the ten minutes I had been in the store. When his own clerk tried to explain that he had brought the books up for me, the owner/manager still continued to question me as if I had done something wrong. I was so stressed out and overwhelmed by the experience that I didn't even notice him charge me full price for Harrow County, a comic that came from the half off section. After looking at my receipt I realized the error but was too uncomfortable with everything that had just happened to go back in and get my money back. I don't know if I'll be coming back in after this experience, which is a shame because I've bought some of my favorite books from here in the past.

Abe Garcia: I just moved to Md and was looking for a comic book store and this happened to be down the street from me, i was actually happy to see the amount of selections they had and i didnt have time to explore their downstairs although i was intrigued and hoping to be back. The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly.

Jason Strachman Miller: The whole family enjoys visiting Alliance. The staff is more friendly than most comic shops and they have a nice-sized kids section. The basement has great deals if you've got time to look through the different sections.

A Google User: Their downstairs area kept me coming back. Of course they have all the new stuff upstairs, loads of stuff, but downstairs was a huge collection of $1 comics and other great deals. I found a TON of old classics and obscure comics i could never get my hands on in the wild, there! I had a blast going every now and then and loading up a bags worth of comics i wouldnt normally be interested in, but for $1, and the fun of searching what seemed like thousands of comics to build my collection, it was always fun! Unfortunately I have moved out of state years ago. Thanks to Alliance Comics, I be sure to check out my local comic books stores whenever i move or travel. Sadly for me, Alliance was the best and ive yet to find another store that offers older or obscure products - everyone just has stock of whats new, which 99% of that stuff doesnt interest me, or the expensive, highly sought out classics like #1 issues. Alliance has that too, but being able to find mostly 'forgotten' comics was always fun. If i recall correctly one of the employees mentioned they buy bulk collections, which is why sometimes thered be a ton of batman, or a ton of spiderman, or a ton of warhammer even. Great collections. As far as the rest of the store - great selection of everything. I'd go for myself, to see what random goodies i could find downstairs, and usually end up able to find a thing or two for myself upstairs, and/or gifts for friends too. Best comic store ive been to.

TJD: Glad that the store is there for Silver Spring. The staff wasn’t the friendliest either time I came in to ask questions though. First about a she-ra comic and then a second time about the surrounding board gaming community (sometimes comic and fantasy board game communities intersect).

J R: They have an upstairs and downstairs, posters and a lot of comics. You gotta check this place out. If you see Deadpool with the alien face hugger, then you're in the right place. Want My Hero Academia figures an books also, they have it. Pleasant readings!!!

Marcela: I absolutely love this comic store! They have so many selections and they also have a good selection of manga. The staff is so friendly! If I want to get a comic book that they don’t have in the store they end up ordering it for me without me having to buy it first and they call me once the book arrives at the store. The books are also in perfect condition, the pages are super crisp and the layout of the store is amazing cause I get so excited when I turn my head and find more books I didn’t think to grab. The downstairs is all discounted comic books and they have so many to choose from. Highly recommend this store! Support your local comic book store

LP: A smaller but Cool spot, friendly staff that will chat with you about their stock and your purchase.

tomato sauce: Really nice staff and a great environment!! One of my favorite places to stop by on my way to downtown

Aaliyah Brandon: Great comic shop, friendly and helpful staff and has a huge selection of comics

Barbarian Comics: what do users think?

James Pitt: Today was my first visit to this shop and I am looking forward to visiting again soon. The gentleman working was friendly and extremely helpful. He explained where we might locate what we were looking for and was super cool about pricing. He also recommended a nearby food joint (Filipinos Italian Specialties) that was amazing.

Jay Howard: Great selection and nice friendly staff love the cozy spot nestled in a awesome location.

Will Berkovitz: This is a great store with a great selection of comics and old and new. Back issue prices are reasonable. Store has a great selection of trades too. The guy who waited on me, I'm assuming was the owner, was nice, friendly, and helpful.

Gedalia Walls: Good old fashioned comic book store with quality service. Dig around for classics, get all of the story with a graphic novel, or buy some novelty toys. Super helpful and knowledgeable staff/owner

Jason Robertson: Cool old comic store!! I guessing he's the man that owns store, older gentleman, he was very knowledgeable and cool to talk to about comics! Really knows his stuff. Awesome selection of old back issues! Had what I was looking for and came right out to help. I'll go back to this store again when in the area since I'm from out of town. Definitely one of the best stores I've ever been to. All these newer comic stores mainly just carry new issues. This was one of the first I'd been in up and down east coast that carried a great selection of back issues!! Highly recommended!!

Johnathan Comer: Great shop! Nice selection of the "standard" new books you'd expect to see in at a shop. A ton of back issues, although not that many dollar books. Nice selection of wall books.

Bob Bretall: Good shop for back issues, but the really old silver age comics are mostly low condition: VG- and lower. Lots of G and VG that were a bit over graded for my own personal taste, but grading is pretty subjective.

Tony Malgapo: Nice "Old School" Comic store. Wall to wall back issues to fill any collectors missing list. Everything is priced current though so you won't find a "steal" - No Matter this place deserves every penny as it reminds me of the stores I used to go to in NYC. I highly recommend a visit. And if you cannot find what you are looking for - just ask. More than likely they will have it. Everything past reviewers said it true, display skills are lacking but it adds to the stores aura of being an "old school" comic store!

Erik Gayoso: Really the last of dying breed....this is a great old style comic book shop with tons of hidden treasures. It has limited space so there are lots of things jammed into every nook & cranny. If you want to be surprised by finding a rare "i didn't even know this existed' treasure. Check the place out. Prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

marshal bass: The store has a pretty good selection of new comics, and long boxes of back issues. The reason I give it 3 stars is because of the condition of the store. It appears to be decaying. It's like it hasn't changed in 20 years, which in this case, is not exactly a good thing. The back issue boxes are all stacked up and haggard looking, and not marked very well. The final blow was the spinning racks that held quite a few of their comics. The comics are held in with wire racks which dilapidate and warp them. And the racks look like they are about to fall over. I was afraid to spin them. I went to grab a new issue and the owner said "thats not for sale, until tomorrow," "were not even supposed to be open today". Well today was tuesday, and they are closed on mondays, so they need to update their hours if they are going to be closed on Tuesday as well. I drove almost an hour to get there, so I would have been pretty upset if they were closed. Another customer picked up a clear plastic comic case and tried to buy it, the owner also told him it was for sale. All in all, if you live close by and they carry your comics, and you don't care about keeping them mint, then I would recommend going there. Otherwise, check out Victory comics or EG comics. If you do go to this store, be sure to check out the phenomenal toy store across the street!

The Amazing Comic Shop: what do users think?

SHINE Tumblers: Staff wasn't as personable and friendly as expected. We were not greeted upon arrival. We are comic book enthusiasts and the sales rep could care less. We had a few questions about books, and the questions were blown off with no extra conversation. We wanted to buy, but customer service is key. The store focused on Cards rather than books. Beautiful store... aestetically pleasing.
Response: Hi, I am sorry that your experience with us was not engaging and you did not get the customer service you deserved. I am confused as we have very little cards in our store and we are almost 90% reading material. I would love to hear from you personally and discuss your experience, this would help us improve the quality of our customer interactions. Ask for Thomas 703-250-6479, Thank you!

Teague Ricks: A pretty quiet little shop, but with polite and kind staff. They don't have any vintage comics, but they have almost any new DC and Marvel title you could ask for, as well as some Indie and Image stuff. They have a huge selection of Graphic Novels, and while their Manga supply was somewhat limited, there was still a wide variety of series. Totally worth the visit!
Response: Glad we made your day! Thank you for letting us know!!

Doug Marcks: Cool store. They have material for a wide range of ages here. The knowledgeable and helpful staff took the time to help me navigate the Manga section (which I know nothing about) when I needed to purchase a gift. Check it out.
Response: Glad we were able to help, especially with the Manga section, it can be a challenge. Thank you for stopping by!

Spencer “Spe” Martin: Neat inventory. Surprised me when they had just what I needed: the complete collection of Great Lakes Avengers.
Response: Thank you! We try hard keeping up with all the titles that are still in print.

Justin Alexander: you're looking for a very particular item not only did the staff member on duty at the time help us find it but he also helped us find volume two... Great selection of pop's, and statue figurines. Knowledgeable staff, and still running regular hours thanks amazing comic shop you're the best Around

Brandi Anderson: I always enjoy myself here! They have a wonderful selection of comics and collectables. They host game nights for the RPGs. And have sample games to play before you buy. They even have a snack bar for those longer game times when you don't want to leave a game. A favorite is they also have a kid section, very cute and a starter for the next generation. Parking is difficult. I park across the street in a park parking lot.

d 11: Great shop, helpful staff, and an excellent selection. Very clean and organized interior that made for a very pleasant experience. Came here on free comic book day 2018 and found an orderly crowd! While it is more expensive than Amazon, you can't beat the personalized, tactile feeling of picking up a comic book or graphic novel and turning the pages. Much better than any review posted online.

Yeeyee: I really enjoy coming here, the staff is always friendly, I go to gmu and it's nice to have a comic store right by campus, I went on Monday and the guy at the cashier was wearing a Michael Myers shirt and was really chill
Response: Thank you! I believe you ran into our general manager and yes, he is super chill. Feel free to drop by anytime!

Jessica Pittington: Person working at the register today 9/30/21 was so welcoming and nice. Whoever gave a bad review. Must not have been for this guy. He was very welcoming and said if we needed any help to let him know. He sounded genuine too. Not like he was forced to say it. Lots of really nice stuff here. If you're a comic fan you'll love it.
Response: Thank you for the kind words. I we strive to make people happy. I/we look forward to serving you in the future!

Dinh Pham: Nice little comic store. Good variety of comics to read through. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Response: Thank you! We appreciate you taking the time to give us a review and we hope to see you soon!

Big Planet Comics: what do users think?

Steven Weisel: Great comics shop. No in-store shopping, browsing or pick-up. Curbside pick-up only; call ahead to place your order. Very friendly helpful staff.

deogenerate: Some sort of heads up on here that this place is somehow STILL closed would’ve been nice before I wasted the time to come out here. Come on people, it’s time to open up again… EDIT: So apparently it does show up as no in-person in a very small box that’s hard to overlook. Still does not excuse being closed, so unless youre a frequent costumer don’t bother. There’s plenty of other stores in the area.

Nouvel Homme: The Bethesda location appears to be closed. Doors locked tight; phone number goes to some belligerent individual.

Bill Bridges: Fantastic comic store! I've gone to Big Planet for years and always loved it. The owner is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable and provides excellent recommendations. Definitely worth a visit if you're at all interested in comics or graphic novels.

Larry Gillick: Update: The shop spears to be closed, permanently. Apologies to the former owners, but I'm changing this to a one-star review, to flag readers. It was an excellent store. Update 2: I've heard that the store is moving to a new location, but that the new location hasn't opened yet. I hope that's true. Good luck! --- A warm, well-lit shop -- with a knowledgeable gentleman behind the counter. What more could I ask? How about a stocked section of kid-friendly comics? It's there. An alcove of comics for older folks? It's there, too. What's not to like? Bethesda parking. It's crowded around here. And don't forget to feed the meters even on Saturday, or you'll eat a $45 fine. Ouch.

Alan Taboada: This place rocks! I haven't even been inside yet but the pickup has been great and the dude is really nice for the half a second I see him. Would definitely recommend. Can't wait until it opens up.

Jess !: This place is always so nice! It's a small storefront that ONLY does comics, I'm always surprised they do enough business to stick around. The selection of comics is out of this world, and they even had some manga. The gentleman at the front counter was super nice and helped me find things and chatted with me about what restaurants were in the area since I was looking for lunch. Prices were pretty good, and the store was tidy, well organized, and clean. The neon sign was really neat! I really like Big Planet and I always stop by when I'm in Bethesda, which sadly isn't often anymore.

RUSSELL GREENBERG: I love this store. Out of the 4 comic stores within 20 miles of me, this is the third farthest, but easily my favorite. They put the focus on customer service, comics and trade paperbacks as opposed to limitless action figures, collectible card games and toys. If they don't have it they'll order it for you. Many shops that have trades are very random about what's in stock. If I want to start a new series I probably don't want to start with #3 and then have to skip to #5. There's no problems of that nature here. They have entire runs available and as I said they will order what you want if it's not on the shelves. Knowledgable and friendly. Only negative is that the shop is relatively small.

Garth Renn: Good selection, good place to learn to play Magic: the Gathering (and buy supplies ) as well as D&D ( and buy supplies). Oh yeah, unlike a lot of comic shops, they have a lot of Gundam models! Plus, the staff enjoy talking Comics. Take that, C@#^cology!

MJ M: Love geeking out at this place with the owner about old school comics. I'm a fan but to listen to him talk about them is mesmerising. His knowledge is awesome and I love supporting the small local businesses. Their support of my kids interest in comic books will also keep me as a customer.

Big Planet Comics: what do users think?

Larry Gillick: My son and I have only visited once, so I have only first impressions to offer. Our usual haunt is in Wheaton, but the new semester at UMD is about to start -- and it was Free Comic Book Day -- so, checking out College Park's comic shop seemed like a good idea. First, it's clean and modern, with none of that old-school dinge. I'll say the quiet part out loud -- that this is clearly a welcoming, non-gatekeeping shop. Then again, I'd like to think that they're all welcoming by now... The shop seems to focus on new pubs, but there is a small set of classic comic boxes for the older stuff. They do know how to display a classic comic. I should mention the Dungeons & Dragons corner (and separate dice display). A person could happily set more than a few campaigns with what's available. I didn't get to chat much with the staff. FCBD means customers! But everyone seemed nice, authentic, and as professional as could be.

Clyde has Pressing Issues: Great store. Nice stock of new comics and trades. Not a huge selection of back issues. Employees, especially John, are super helpful and knowledgeable.

Late Runner: Stopped by this store only a couple of times. I Have only met two employees but they were very friendly and made good small talk. I'm not a big Superhero genre fan so I only visit this particular location from time to time. Greatly appreciated the help.

Brave Hardy: Customer service is not always personable. You may get treated like you are invisible. Sometimes I notice "other" customers get acknowledged as soon as they walk through the door. What is that about

Josue Lemus: My favorite local comic/manga shop. I really appreciate the selection, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and location. I haven’t once had a bad experience coming here and for as long as I am living in the area, I’ll keep returning.

Carl Mitchell: I think they are good at keeping stock of what people are looking for, and not just random stuff.

Matthew Nguyen: Super friendly person behind the counter, super up front about their inventory, and a large variety of stuff for a small store! If you're in the area, even if you're not an avid comic reader stop by!

Paul Herbert: This place still is great. I took my son to see where dad used to buy his comics.

ShyDoll Pinky: They had a lot of mangas / comics as well as figures. It was really clean as well and the prices are pretty fair.

Rais Djampa: They have a reward system, where if you make one purchase of $10 or more, on the 10th purchase you get $10 off. Really nice if you frequently buy comic books or Manga.

Blessing Olaniyi: Service is great but the lawyers are better ;)

Tahani Jaber: These comics are very good. I suggest that you guys should make the price for your comics, based on how much your supplies were. Like for example, when it’s colored Or illustrated, etc. make them like $2-$3 or something.

Esther Binigbolo: ok service, but have hard time retaining customers

Alijah Hillman: Best comic books. Better than Dc's and Marvel's.And please give us feedback so we can do better. We know we're not perfect and need room for improvement so please give us more feedback.Thankyou 😉🤑😛🙂

Amelia Taylor: hi. my name is review. I think their comics are. very. very. comicey. if that makes any since. Blah. Owner cant keep his pants up though.

Commentator DUH: So, I came across their Instagram, and I think these kids put a lot of work in their comics, I wish I was this productive 😂😂, so here's 4 stars.

Janae Cameron: They have good comics. I literally laughed so hard I bet Australia could hear me.

Mike O: Serum Supers is great, there comics connect with the reader so well, their books are just the same.

Michael Oloye: I really like the comics here. They put of thought into the comics.

Nathan Spence: This is the best comic company ever

Mai W: Great store that we have always loved visiting but now iits in a new and much bigger space! So fun to look around at tons of comic books, sports cards n memorabilia, pokemon etc. We love the new space and the employees are great.
Response: Thank you for your kind words! The team is working hard to keep this a great place to visit!

Denys Emmert: They did an amazing job framing a jersey for me. Also the staff is great and they have a good selection of sports cards and memorabilia.
Response: Thank you for your review and business! Hope to see you again soon!

Brian Carter: Talk about everything you want from a card shop. The two owners have been a staple in the community for many years. The staff is welcoming and knowledgeable and the shop is set up beautifully. Products from sports cards to comics! Would recommend for anyone in the area.

Lettuce &Friends: Terrible pricing, came in recently to get my cards traded in and they offered my 50 dollars for a 200 dollar collection. The prices were also outrageous as a simple vivid voltage booster box was 100 dollars and an astral radiance booster pack was 7 dollars. Don't waste your time.

Michael DeMarco: Not quite sure I’d visit here for anything TCG. Prices weren’t just overpriced, they were 2-300% higher than anywhere else. Example: darkness ablaze currently goes for 34.99 everywhere in the US, this shop was firm at $70. Cards considered bulk to most players, for example modern V’s which go for .50 to .75 cents were $5 minimums. It’s a very unique place that operates on value that doesn’t stem from this planet. Might want to ask AntMan if he ran into the owner of collectors world in the quantum realm.

J. C.: Came in looking to purchase my nephew’s love with $25 worth of Topps baseball cards. The gentleman working really spent some time and energy picking the right card for him. I appreciate that level of attention and expertise in serving a helpless fool.

Emad Shawish: Decided to visit Collector’s World’s new location and I was not impressed. For starters, I was not greeted when walking in, nor asked if I needed assistance during my 30 minute visit. However, they did greet and offer assistance to other patrons who entered after me. Selective customer service is bad for business. Next, their prices are rediculously overpriced. I am always in the market for PSA 9 or 10 rookies of great players and have no problem spending $1k - $2k for great finds, however their selection of cards are nowhere near current market value. Don’t even bother buyers.. your best bet is to catch an eBay auction.
Response: Emad I’m very sorry to hear this and would like to discuss your experience with you personally, can you call me at 703-679-7568? Thank you -Steve (Co-Owner)

Guinea Pig Plays: Terrible! I went in there recently and their prices were insane. I could buy their items down the street for half the price. Only thing worth your time is meeting the staff as they weren't too rude. If you are coming to sell or buy anything, don't waste your time. I would say the best things to buy are the raw vintage cards.
Response: "Guinea Pig" We price match as prices fluctuate all the time. If you actually want to discuss, feel free to call and ask for the owner. 703-256-8408.

YRY: Huge collection with anything you can think of, great selection to pick from. Owner was really nice and gave us a discount on our purchase, definitely will come back for another visit!

Joon Kum: Damon and the crew are awesome people. Fair and honest. One of the best baseball card shops around, along with a plethora of other collectibles. Happy rips, and one touch fills! Congrats on your new upcoming space!!! Can’t wait to get there!

Valeria Contreras: Small locale but has all the comic and graphic novels you may need. They also sell a lot of collectibles and mystery collectibles. Love the vibe and the variety they offer. The employees are super nice as well. They just opened this store today, so be nice when you visit. Loved it honestly. I will be back with a list of comics and GNs that I want.

Enfys Book: I'm always impressed by this store. It's huge and has a very friendly and helpful staff. Since my last visit they expanded their queer book section and curated a very nice witch book section, too!

Kyra Cundiff: Visited for the first time today and picked up a few comics. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Most people you see there are wearing masks which is great. There is tons to look at! You could spend hours in here if you had the time. There’s also a sister store that sells games in the same building with a restroom to accommodate guests. Great visit and well worth the trip

Jessica Linkins: Love love love this place. It's got everything... So if you're interested in art, Marvel, SciFi, collectables, stuffed characters, T-shirts, posters, buttons, pins, models, puzzles, and many games and activities this is definitely going to blow your mind.

The Glorious Raponator: This place is definitely the bee's knees of comic book shops! They have everything you could want in two separate buildings.

Na'ilah Dawkins: I love Third Eye Comics - Annapolis to the core! I have been a customer since 2016 and anytime I am there I feel like valued family. I usually buy a boatload of merchandise annually (several hundred dollars worth.) The staff Trish, Torma, Sulley, and many more do the utmost to provide excellent customer service, answering all comic questions, providing background info on enamel pins (as I've asked a few times 😅), have amazing deals/events, cultivate an super active healthy helpful Facebook presence, accept online/in-person/phone orders, and have free parking in the front and back of the store! I have over 350+ photos in an online my album of all my adventures and shopping sprees there, since 2016. Attached are a few recent photos from my visit late October 2021.

Cyprus: The store is kept very neat, organized, and clean. The employees are extremely knowledgeable of comics and graphic novels, are kind, and excited to help you find what you need. They didn't have the comic I wanted in store so one of the employees ordered it to be delivered to the store for pick up. Honestly, I have an amazing experience every time I visit. Would highly recommend.

Sam Chin: Great place for comics, Manga and collectibles. Also has a Board game store with vinyl records and Gundam models next door. Stay is friendly and knowledgeable.

Allison Becker: Love this place! They have a great selection of comics, books, vinyl, skateboards, toys, stickers, t-shirts... The people are awesome and the soundtrack is a great mix of punk and new wave. Make sure to sign up for the loyalty program!

Y2K The Real: Definitely worth the trip. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. They have a very large selection of reading material, games, models, and paraphernalia.

John Beck (BeekrJR): The most awesome comic book store that I've seen. The staff were so great with helping with our requests. A must see for true comic buffs!

Ginger J: Awesome place great layout definitely will returned I love the comics that were like cook books. My husband loves comics didn't buy any definitely will be back. I loved that if you brought a drink in you have to put it on the the tray so you aren't ruining there books. Definitely about check it out. Very nice guy working there awesome was in business for 15 years.

Elizabeth Darby: We love this place. Great selection. The only drawback for the location is parking at times. Just bring your mask and don't berate the employees if you don't have one. Let's all be kind and protect each other. Besides, they have masks if you need one for a dollar and it goes toward your purchase.

D.A.: Recently visited here and they have a bonanza of everything that you might be looking for! I found hard to find editions and a lot of what I was looking for at the time I went there. Even though it was a smaller type of store space- they had quite a bit to offer and the staff was very helpful and the atmosphere was positive like you were at a Comic Con Convention!

Ches Spencer: Gotta stop by CC while walking Annapolis. Tons of content for all ages. Support your local shops.

Raul Torres: Great comic shop with tons of independents & old school comics! Tons of graphic novels & the Manager Coff is friendly & knowledgeable! Support your small businesses because they really care about their customers.

Che Wayne: I like the store, a very extended variety in Dc and Marvel comics books and many more. The manga selection is pretty limited, but everything else is really good quality and in excellent shape. Onve you here, you should come a visit.

Jac: Great shop, owner was helpful, solid selections.

Camera Otter: Great little comic store! Found an awesome issue of Battle Chasers and they helped me search for Crimson (another Image Cliffhanger Comic). I am from out of town, but they made my visit to Annapolis enjoyable!

Anthony Perry: Fantastic experience. My kids (5, 7, and 9) dragged me in here. They love graphic novels and this store had a ton of them. The young man working there was super helpful and guided all 3 kids to some recommendations (boys and girls) which they loved . No need to try to make them read - they can't wait to read the next edition . Will definitely be a regular going forward.
Response: Thanks for letting em drag you in! Also thank you for the kind words and high score. We look forward to seeing you guys around the shop!

Robby Tyson: Not the safe space for me. An overweight man very aggressively reprimanded me about public health. This resulted in me getting what I wanted online and cheaper anyways. Easy reminder of why the comics industry in America is currently a failure.
Response: Don’t worry, we have plenty of customers who appreciate the fact that we are working to keep our community safe. Thank you for helping us to keep our space safer for other customers and our staff by taking your aggressive attitude, mask-less face and unkind words elsewhere.

Kramers: what do users think?

Jon and Amanda Lewis: Great little bookshop near Dupont Circle. They have a wide selection of titles & subjects and an attached cafe and restaurant. I found some wonderful vintage looking postcards such as a DC cherry blossom one and tried the Kramer’s Goober Pie. So incredible. I would highly recommend this place!

Arun Vishwanathan: Cute little bookstore in DC and you should stop by if in the area. Eclectic collection of titles and journals/calendars They do have a restaurant/diner inside, so you can grab a bite as well if you’re hungry. Wish I had more time to spend there..

Juhi Pac: Great bookstore-bar-restaurant combo right at DuPont circle. Very easily accessible by DuPont circle metro and good selection of books and atmosphere

Cara Forte: I'm really happy this awesome bookstore came recommended by a friend for me to check out while staying in Dupont Circle for a long weekend. The books and gifts are well curated and there is a restaurant in the store with delicious food, drinks, and dessert. The coffee is great, too.

Karen cohen: Helpful staff and a ton of books from every genre! Browsing is part of the fun or going there and see all the books you want to read. Have lunch in the dining area and spend the whole afternoon there. Huge children section, too.

C Luna: Food was fantastic! Especially the cherry blossom cheesecake :) Service was amazing- our waitress was sweet and funny. Definitely a great date spot ❤

John Weber: What a lovely place to look for books and grab a bite to eat! I only walked around the bookstore but from what I could tell, the food both looked and smelled amazing!! On the restaurant side, there are a couple lounge chairs/couches to relax in as well. Definitely stop by and drop in if you are nearby. I was able to park just a block away on a Friday night.

bruce hutson: Kramers. Since 1976, so it’s not new to many, unless you visit from outa town, like we did. Our friends, Bob and Lynn, came here on dates years ago, as many did and still do. Lots of stories within these walls, ups and downs, and today we sat in fleeting sunshine to taste the excellent Kramers Breakfast(tasty potatoes), and the full mouth, comforting Ham Benedict(such creamy Hollandaise). Oh, and the books fairly pulsed into our hands within the well laid out spaces. Feed your body, nourish your soul

M Boone: Good brunch menu with solid pairings. Visit it after strolling through the nearby Farmer's Market. Space inside is a little tight particularly with the kitchen in-the-middle, but cozy nonetheless. I enjoyed the chicken and waffles. Presentation is good. Prices are on par for D.C.

Quarib Chowdhury: This is a Washington DC institution. Everyone should visit, buy a book, and eat at the cafe. I’ve browsed through this place many many times and even bought books and ate at the cafe. I ate at the cafe years ago but remember everything being delicious. As someone with a big sweet tooth, the apple pie crust desert was amazing. The expansion to bring the cafe into the bookstore actually works really well. I’ll have to revisit the cafe next time.

East City Bookshop: what do users think?

Justine Sacco: Visited this bookstore for the first time today, and so glad I did! Spacious, bright, and staffed by some lovely, helpful people. I stopped by to pick up a special order (very easily done online) but I'll absolutely be back to browse and buy more. Also, in an optimal location to pick up a book and then enjoy reading it at over a meal at one of several fantastic restaurants nearby.
Response: Thank you for this wonderful review and for posting pictures! We look forward to you coming back to browse and hang out. Happy reading!

Declan Glueck: I always love exploring a new bookstore, and this was well worth the time. It is extremely cute inside, and has a great selection for the size. I appreciated all the hand-written recommendation notes, and ended up buying two books I've been looking for. Give them a visit if you're in the area!
Response: Thanks for shopping with us, and thank you for the lovely review! I hope you can come again soon.

Michael Lawrence: I interacted with at least 4 booksellers at East City and each one was so welcoming & thoughtful. I would say this is the best "customer service" I've experienced in a bookstore, but I don't love that phrase. I was treated as a person by other wonderful people, and I encourage others to experience this store's selection and curation. Thank you East City!!
Response: Thank you so much for your review, Michael! I can’t tell you how much this means to me and the whole staff. This is what we love about our jobs—all the wonderful people we get to meet and talk books (and other things) with. We love our community of customers and we hope to see you again soon!

Ashleigh N. DeLuca: This is my favorite bookstore in DC! I go out of my way to stop by this bookstore whenever I’m in town. They have a smart layout which utilizes their small space well. It makes the bookstore look much bigger and doesn’t feel crowded or cramped. They have a great selection of books and their staff are all so knowledgeable and friendly. Throughout the bookstore you’ll see little green cards on the bookshelves which include the staff’s thoughts on specific books. I think this is such a fun idea and I love to spend half my browsing time just reading what the cards say. There is a certain charm that this bookstore has that none of the other DC bookstores have.
Response: Thank you so much for this wonderful review! Thanks for shopping with us, and we look forward to seeing you again soon.

Laura Delgado: Cute & calming bookshop with a good selection, and lots of recommendations which is helpful, as well as reasonable prices. I found English/Spanish children books, and plenty of fiction & cookbooks that were very interesting.
Response: Thank you so much, Laura! We hope to see you again soon.

Bilal Rahmani: For such a socially conscious bookstore this place is oddly hyper focused on white women's guilt towards black women.. then no books at all about any of the incredibly problematic military objectives abroad. I'm sorry, this place felt like a shallow attempt to be woke. At least Toni Morrison made it to the bottom shelf.

Ren Jax: A fantastic find filled with a diverse collection of local writers and national favorites. The staff is very attentive to customers needs willing to suggest finds if needed, or seek out authors. The downstairs space has more choices including graphic novels and other comic books. There is also room for small gatherings to hear readings of works.

Andreana Morris: Have been following one of the book sellers on their tik-tok for a while. Went in and enjoyed ever moment. Got to meet the book seller and they helped my girlfriend and get a bunch of books to read for our after OFMD pirate brain rot. Met other queer folk. Had the best time. Will be back soon.
Response: Thanks for coming in and thanks for this wonderful review--we hope to see you again soon!

Hayley Trezzo: This was one of the most chaotic book stores I've been in. My visit included two dogs barking at each other (blocking the entrance) and a baby crying/screaming for a good five minutes straight (from a massive stroller that taking up a lot of the already cramped space by the registers/stairs). So I guess this place is great for families with young children and dog lovers! But it definitely is not for me. With so many other independent book stores in DC, I wouldn't go out of my way to visit or support this one.
Response: I'm so sorry that you had an unpleasant visit! We do welcome everyone, including people with their leashed dogs and families with strollers. And it can get crowded quickly near the registers. Most of the time it all works and things are calm, but clearly not at that moment. The week before Christmas can turn into momentary chaos very quickly; again my apologies. Enjoy your holidays!

Belle Ellrich: The staff here are super nice and extremely helpful. I live out of state and pre-ordered a book. Due to having ADHD, I forgot to change my address on my pre-order after I moved. They were able to catch my order before it shipped and helped me change the address without extra cost to me, even though I offered to pay for the mistake. They even called to confirm that they had the correct address before it was sent out. Because of this, I highly suggest supporting them and shopping from their bookshop. I will be shopping here again in the future and look forward to my next purchases from their store.
Response: Thanks so much for your lovely review and thank you for shopping with us. We really appreciate it and look forward to helping you again in the future!
