Georgetown Alterations Ms.Lee LLC: what do users think?

Candice Barbara: I am so thankful for Ms. Lee and her alterations. I had two weddings back to back and the dresses were entirely too big. She fixed both dresses in a short time frame and made sure I felt comfortable. She was kind and understanding which made me feel better about the crazy double wedding weekend I had. I plan to come here from now on!Service: Alterations

Samuel Johnson: Top notch service! Great sense of humor. Got in before she closed Friday, picked up at opening next day. She also made suggestions to make my tux fit better! Highly recommended.Service: Alterations

Alana Duran: Ms. Lee had my suit for a wedding I was attending all done and perfect days before I actually needed it. The fit was nice nice, she knew exactly what areas need to be taken in and by how much. She knew how to make it look flattering on me. Most of all the pants and blazer only cost me $100 and she did a lot to make it fit. Definitely a fair price. She’s funny, lively and a real pro. Don’t forget to tip!

Riley E: Had two dresses, a pair of pants, and a sweater altered/repaired and the results are amazing. The turnaround time was also very fast. The prices were worth it and the clothes all fit perfectly now. Will definitely be coming back! Thank you!

Monique Marie: Ms. Lee altered a dress for me in 24 hours for a photo shoot I had the next day. She is the best, quick and efficient and I’ll definitely be back.Service: Alterations

HAL Deiri: Brought in a pair of Zanella dress pants and she did a great job on the length alternations! Also, she is extremely friendly so that makes it more enjoyable to stop by

Best Fit Tailoring: what do users think?

Amanda Fayer: Terrible! Disappointed is an understatement. I was shocked at how badly the alterations on this gown came out. I could have done this better intoxicated in the dark. Ended up getting some $ back (I was charged $169 for this and basic hemming) but that was after the seamstress told me she shouldn’t have told me she could alter my dress and it was my fault for bringing it in. I was sooo glad to find a nice good tailor in the neighborhood. This is NOT it.

Olivia Hinch: Selenge is an excellent seamstress whose work always impresses me. I have had multiple dresses, skirts and pants taken in by her and it has always been done to perfection, even pants that were at least 2 sizes too large. I’m glad to have her in my neighborhood.

Isabel Scher: I had such an amazing experience! Selenge went above and beyond helping me think through the best way to tailor the dress. She even brought one of her own fabrics to help adjust a detail across the top! Very grateful for her help, would highly recommend!

Ryan MacLeod: Selenge is a great tailor and such a friendly person! Highly recommend

Jamie Lee: Needed two dresses shortened and am so glad I went here! One was quite complicated due to embroidery at the bottom...I was willing to sacrifice the design, but she offered to shorten it from the waist instead. Very glad she did...it turned out beautifully. I’m so appreciative for her skills and am glad after several years I’ve finally found a reliable tailor in DC!

Scogna Custom Tailor and Formal Wear: what do users think?

Nicole Busse: This place is old-school legit. I brought in a women’s “smoking” tuxedo to have the pants hemmed, and Mr Dil noticed all kinds of fit issues that he should fix - even pointed out that one of my shoulders was slightly higher than the other (!) and redid the jacket sleeves to adjust for that. The tailored suit fits me like a glove. So happy to have found this place! Mr Dil is a true master. Don’t take your alterations anywhere else!

Christina Brown: Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness, ValueMr. Dil is a great tailor! He has done an incredible job on a number of dresses and blouses I brought to him. He is very professional, fast and meticulous in his work. He’s also done a few same day alterations. Happy to support his business. Thank you!Service: Alterations

Grant Falk: The Master Tailor, Dil, is amazing at his craft. He has made bespoke suits for numerous presidents, politicians, journalists, and TV hosts, so naturally his talent stretches far and wide. I highly recommend going to see Dil and can promise that you will not regret it.

John Conafay: What incredible service! I called five other shops and all turned me down for a same day tux rental. Mr. Dil not only said yes, but turned it around in ONE HOUR! Perfect fit! Will always come back here for my tailoring needs.

Shelby Sires: Mr. Dil is simply the best! I went in with not one, but two dresses that I needed altered in a quick turnaround. He asked me my deadline and was able to work over time to complete it before my requested timeline. Mr. Dil is a tailor fit for the President and that’s why he works on the presidents custom tailor jobs. If you’re reading this, use Mr. Dil. Service: Alterations

J C Lofton Tailors: what do users think?

Lyssa McEachern: I needed a dress tailored here within 2 weeks for a wedding and they did not let me down! Friendly people and great pricing for the beautiful work you get!

Mark Koenig: Great people and incredibly talented! Quick turn around for a well tailored suit at a reasonable price. I get compliments each time I wear it, so you know it was done right! Thank you!

Iman Shabazz: One of the finest Professional Taylors in WDC. We have taken our things here for years! Expedient work.and very detailed in their efforts. Thanks Iman @ Les Fleur Studio

Nafeesah Attah: I’ve been coming here since I moved to DC in 2018 and I’ve been a loyal customer ever since. I’ve taken high end suits to dresses to them and they’ve always done an amazing job. They are high quality and can be trusted with your garments, but work really quickly! Sometimes my alternations are ready same day. To top it all off everyone in the shop is extremely friendly and helpful. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this business to anyone. Looking forward to bringing more items to them! Service: Alterations

Jared Mingo: My man has 45 years of experience as a tailor. He and his team will execute all of tailoring needs with expertise and then some, all at a very affordable price with haste to match. If you have a rush order it will completed on time.

KeKe's Kidz: No complaints here. Mr. Lofton altered a suit for my 3 year old. Lets just say my vision was executed to a tee. And my son was the talk of the ball. Proud to work with Mr. Lofton and look forward to many more suits in my sons future. #1stsuitcustomefit

Samuel Mather: Went because it’s the best-reviewed tailor shop in the area, and now I’m just confused. I tried to get a suit altered to accommodate pandemic weight. The staff was consistently rude. I was surprised they only had me try on the suit and didn’t take any measurements, but figured they’re the experts. Same rudeness when I picked it up. They did an ok job with the jacket but the pants aren’t even close to fitting. In fairness they said they’d let the pants out as much they could but it might not be enough - but isn’t that the kind of thing where measurements would be useful to have? I don’t really know what normal prices are for alterations. What they charged is about consistent with what Charles Tyrwhitt charges for in-house alterations, but, you know, less helpful, slower and less reliable. They did return the suit in good condition, except for a new, unpleasant odor.

Marshall (MRJ56): If you ever need anything altered J C Lofton Tailors is the place to go. This is the only place I go for any kind of alterations. After I purchase my suits I take them here for alterations. The service is always top notch.

Stephen the Tailor: what do users think?

Benyam Ephrem: Went in to get 3 jeans tailored for waist resizing after recent weight loss. Never had a pair of jeans fit me perfectly in my life (I have an “athletic build” in lowerbody). They came back and fit perfectly. Affordable pricing, friendly staff. Well worth it. Highly recommend.

Cat Shrier (WaterCitizen): Wonderful business! When I lost a button on my skirt, Stephen made sure I was taken care of right away and could keep my modesty intact - while also taking good care of his staff! Thank you!Service: General repairs

G Matt: There might be no one better. Absolutely professional and friendly. Precise. Ultra knowledgeable. Dedicated - you can see and will know their passion - it is obvious. Masters at their art.

Екатерина Шенгелия: Gave them pants to hem which they forgot to hem initially. But ok the time they forgot I didn’t pay for what they forgot to do so it’s ok. Gave them pants again after and paid to get them shortened. Told me they’ll call me back in a week. Didn’t contact or message me for three weeks. Finally I come and pick them up, bring the pants home, and what do you know they trimmed it UNEVENLY. Three weeks and 15 dollars to get unevenly hemmed pants and because they didn’t call me, I got these pants back last minute right before the holidays when I needed them. Won’t be using this service again.

Olivia: Positive: Professionalism, ResponsivenessI needed a bridesmaid dress altered with very short notice. Stephen was very responsive and forthright about recommended alterations. The shop is in the Western Market.Service: Alterations

Jennifer C. Hooper: UPDATE: I took the dress to a tailor in London, UK and they fixed the bust of my dress in 3 hours and changed me less than $30. I repeat, don’t bring your clothes here. Huge ripoff. If you’re thinking about altering your clothes here, I’d look elsewhere. I took a long evening dress to get altered, specifically around the bust (too big) and the length (too long). When ‘Stephen’ was done with the measurements, he informed me that it would be $110 to make the alterations, as it would be intricate work to fix the bust. I thought this was quite high, but as this is DC, I thought maybe it was normal. He told me it would take two weeks to get this done (seemed like a LONG time), and I mentioned it was cutting it close as I needed the dress in two weeks time. He said he would call when it was done. Two days before I needed the dress, I called and there was no answer. I kept calling and finally someone answered the day I needed to leave. He had me waiting on the phone for a while as he ‘couldn’t find the dress’. He finally finds it and says it’s ‘ready’. I pick up the dress (he basically pushed me out the door when I picked it up) but didn’t have time to try it on as I needed to finish packing as I was leaving that night for the UK. If I had not called, I don’t think they ever would have called me, and I know why... I try on the dress and it’s an actual disaster. I don’t think ‘Stephen’ did ANYTHING to fix the bust. It fit EXACTLY the same as when I first tried it on. He charged me $110 for absolutely nothing. He fixed the length, and that’s it. Even if I had tried the dress on in DC, it still would have been a disaster as there would have been no time to fix the dress before my trip. I now have to buy a new dress for this wedding. Do NOT bring your clothing to this establishment. They are dishonest and will take your money to basically do nothing. You’ve been warned.

Cheryl Lofton & Associates Inc.: what do users think?

Becky Giallella: Cheryl and her team did an amazing job on my wedding dress! I had my mom’s wedding dress from the 80s that I wanted to incorporate into my dress. They came up with an amazing design, and created a flawless and sentimental piece. They were so friendly and accommodating, highly recommend! They also did an amazing job altering my husbands suit. He was so happy with it! Services: Design , Alterations

La Voyageuse B: As the mother of the bride, I needed a beaded gown shortened by the next day. It was ready by 10 am the next day. It was perfect and surpassed expectations. Thanks to Ms Lofton and her highly skilled staff I was the Belle of the Ball with the exception of my beautiful daughter the Bride

Daniel Becker: The service here is amazing! Cheryl tailored my wedding tuxedo and did a great job. However, on my wedding day, as I was putting on the pants, one of the seams ripped (not their fault, but at the same time it wasn’t good since my wedding was starting about 3 hours later). I called the store thinking there’s no chance they’d be able to fix my pants on such short notice. Sure enough, Cheryl had two of her tailors hop in an Uber to the hotel where I was getting ready! They showed up about 15 minutes later and fixed my pants, and I was good to go for the wedding. They really went above and beyond what I would expect a business to do, and pretty much saved the day! Service: Alterations

Armetria Misha': The absolute best tailoring shop EVER. From my gala dress as a teen, my wedding dress as an adult, my wardrobe, to repurposes my clothing when I lost weight, and now my robe as an ordained minister. Hands down my closet isn’t a closet without Cheryl Lofton & Associates!!!!

Emily Dodson: I came here in dire need of hemming and bringing in a bridesmaid dress that was 1-2 sizes too big for me, Cheryl and her team did an amazing job and were open to my questions and were rapid in their work. Couldn’t recommend more!

Shawnna Mullenax: My experience with Cheryl Lofton & Associates could not have been better. High quality and fair pricing. Ali did a wonderful job tailoring my maid of honor dress. Although it was ordered to size, it was too big when it arrived. Ali tailored the top and took several inches off of the bottom. He did such a great job that I also had him tailor my own dress for my upcoming wedding.

Joe Krisch: I purchased a suit from an online retailer for my wedding and, despite my best efforts to take accurate measurements, it arrived fairly ill-fitting. Cheryl A Lofton & Associates did a fantastic job making the necessary adjustments and were extremely communicative with me every step of the way. The turn-around time was very fast and the suit looks absolutely fantastic. To anyone out there needing adjustments on their suits, even for very special occasions, I would highly recommend Cheryl A Lofton & Associates. Service: Alterations

Best Tailoring & Dry Cleaning: what do users think?

Jess Morales Rocketto: Have been going to Sue for over a decade, and she is excellent at her craft and a neighborhood institution. INCREDIBLE at tailoring, often take my suits, dresses, and more for her work. Absolutely impeccable and quick, she even accommodates my special rush requests. Same day dry cleaning from my very forgetful husband is no problem for her. She even, on literally 12 hours notice, saved the day by tailoring a rehearsal dinner outfit for my sister that came handmade from abroad but did not fit. She is also a true character, so personable and lovely. Sue is active in her church and community, and she never forgets anything you tell her about your life or what’s going on. Truly a special person, the best sort of auntie, and will be loyal to her as long as she’s in business. Service: Alterations

Kelli Ford: I love Sue & her tailoring jobs! She is VERY good at what she does. I’ve taken numerous bridesmaids dresses to her - for both length and trimming down intricate straps. She does a wonderful job every time - and for a very reasonable price. She is very kind & patient. Also has a good dry cleaning business, which I have taken many dresses and work clothes to her for quarterly or annual dry cleaning and they always come back looking great. My boyfriend also has taken his dressy military attire to her for an emergency alteration and she did a very nice job. Highly recommend seeing Sue if you work on or near the hill! Services: General repairs , Alterations

Abigail Conrad: They’ve gonna incredibly downhill here. Hemming things turn out absolutely awful. I could have done a better job myself. Really annoyed with this place.

Nick Killian: Owners very kindly spent 3 hours after closing to fix their mistake and made sure that I was satisfied.

Reni B: I love miss sue! Good quality work, timely, kind. She tailored a bridesmaid dress for me. Made good recommendations. Will return.

Do's Custom Tailors & Formal Wear: what do users think?

Zinisaurus: Positive: ProfessionalismWhat a fantastic experience! Everyone I interacted with at Do’s tailors was kind & professional, not to mention their quality of craftsmanship was impeccable.

Cassady Wallish: Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness, ValueDo is amazing!! He has been so helpful - we don’t live in DC and Do has been so responsive with my fiancé’s suit for our wedding. I highly recommend this business for any alterations or wedding tux’s.Service: Alterations

Arya Harsono: Mr. Do does a fantastic job! I ordered a custom suit at a reasonable price and it was ready in 4 weeks. Mr. Do is knowledgeable and accommodating - he is clearly passionate about his craft!

Paul Drumond: Price is extremely high for quality of work. I had one pant leg drop it’s hem in the middle of the work day. When I looked inside, it looked like it has been glued down! Looks they forgot to go back and sew the hem together. For these prices, I would have expected far better. A bit disappointed to say the least.

W Monahan: Since 2003, Dien Do has been the only tailor I use, even when I moved several states away for a few years. If for you, tailoring is simply a commodity service, then anyone will do. For the more discerning, there is no better tailor or value South of NYC than Mr. Do.

Madeline Jetzer: Needed a wool coat drastically taken in and he did a wonderful job, and cheaper than other places I got quoted at. Very happy with the service

Scott Cooper: THE best tailor in DC- yes pricey, but worth the high quality of service. I’ve been a customer for over ten years, and highly satisfied.

Parkway Custom Drycleaning: what do users think?

Nil Karabulut: Parkway does good dry cleaning, but it is incredibly expensive and the customer service is horrible! They don’t treat you with respect. They are very arrogant and the way they talk to you is not acceptable. I would not recommend this business at all!

Jenniffer Gundayao: Parkway Cleaners took 10 pieces of my upholstered slipcovers, cushions, and pillows from my 24 year old ABC Home & Carpet furniture to professionally clean decades worth of dirt, stains, body oils, dog hairs/ scent from my sofa and chair. Friends told me to chuck the furniture and buy new ones, but I thought I’d give them a try and donate them if they couldn’t get them cleaned properly. All I can say is the hype is real! Parkway gave new life to my sofa and chairs and saved me from having to buy a new set. I initially had price shock at the cost to wet clean and steam the upholstery, but the owner was kind enough to give me a huge discount as it was my first time using them. The dog scent was still noticeable, but they couldn’t guarantee it would be completely gone. However, 24 years of grunginess and stains were fully removed and the free pick-up/drop-off service directly to my house, professionalism and responsive to my questions made me one highly satisfied customer for life! I now understand why Parkway Custom Dry Cleaning is voted Best in the NoVA area. Services: Delivery , Couches/sofas , Upholstery cleaning

N Dickerson: The customer service here is the worst. Women told me I had to prepay for garments because she didn’t trust that I would come back to pay. What?!?!? Who owns this company. They wanted to charge $700 for gown cleaning without insurance or guarantee of satisfaction. And and additional $42 to press a collarless shirt with no sleeves. Then said it would take 8 weeks to get back! Crazily, I was going to pay until she said I must pay all up front b/c of lack of trust. Never discussed any options about a deposit or options to prepay. Additionally, the woman who helped me saw that I was clearly upset. She watched me struggle to place my big wedding gown into my bag without even trying to help, then walked off into the back. Had to kneel on the ground to put it back into my bag.

Eastern Market Shoe Repair: what do users think?

Carolyn Docherty: Eton at Eastern Market Shoe Repair shop is a king! I was sitting at a coffee shop working remotely across the street when my shoe broke; I looked out the window, saw his shop and gave him a call. He said walk right in and he would fix it. I literally walked in and sat on my computer while he stitched up my shoe in less than 10 minutes. This was my first time at a shoe repair shop and will definitely be coming back soon with other shoes that need some good ole TLC.

Sakiyah TaQee: Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness, ValueAlways a pleasant experience when I come. He has repaired hand bags and shoes for me.

David Centofante: Great guy, had an emergency repair that the owner helped out with. Very nice gentleman and had it done on time!

Lewis Dennison: He really does a good job he is priced right and his repairs did not take that long I was really satisfied with the quality of my shoes when he was done... Almost like new

Heather Gwaltney: Eastern Market Shoe Repair is not a professional establishment; I recommend going somewhere else. I went there because of the two positive reviews posted before mine. I went in on a Tues., over a week ago, to get boots fixed (one of them was cracked in two places). He told me it was $30 to address the two cracks (1/4 the cost of the boots themselves), and said that he’d shine the boot. I asked him how much it would cost to shine the other boot and he said an additional $20. After telling him that I wouldn’t do it because I was struggling financially, he agreed to shine the other boot (part of the one set) as part of the $30 charge. I showed him another pair of boots and asked if he could do anything to the soles to make them anti-slip (since I work where sometimes the floor is wet). He said there was nothing he could do, but sold me anti-slip stickers for an additional $5. I asked him if I could have the boots by Friday (3 days+ later), and he said “no, that he was too busy…and to come back the following Wed…” (one week and one day later). After requiring payment up front, I tried using the anti-slip stickers on the other pair of boots at work, and they came off hours later because of the wet floor. This is something he should have also told me (that they wouldn’t stay). Now, it’s Wed., and I went back in to pick up the boots he could fix – with my receipt saying that I had prepaid. He said, “oh, those aren’t done yet…they can be ready by next Wed.” (in another week!) I reminded him that it had already been a week and a day and his response was that “everyone wants it in a rush.” He then said that they were closed Thurs., Fri., Sat. and Sun., but that he could have them done by Mon. (Thurs. is Thanksgiving, but taking two additional days off seems excessive to me.) Did I mention that the 1st time I went in in the middle of the day (after lunch time), he was walking behind me; just getting back (from somewhere), and when I went there today at 1:30P, there was a line of people waiting for him outside? I had to kill 15 minutes and come back. The hours posted on here say he’s open from 10A-6P Mon-Sat., but that’s not necessarily true. Now, I just don’t trust the guy. If I go back on Mon. and the boots are not done, I’m just going to ask for them back with a refund, and will report him to the better business bureau.

Seymour Cava: I too had a peculiar incident with the owner of the business. A simple Resole took more than three weeks: I had to call after week two to find out what was going on! I was still charged full price even though the repair took longer than estimated. I was also surprised at how dirty messy and dilapidated the interior of the space was! I will not be coming back

The Press Dry Cleaning & Laundry: what do users think?

Christina Adam: Positive: Professionalism, QualityThe Press was able to remove some crazy stains off my suit. They let me know to not to try and pretreat it with any over the counter products. As soon as I brought it in they were able to put a sticker on it and I got it back just like new.Service: Alterations

Kaylee Boyce: The prices are normal DC pricing and reasonable with the neighboring cleaners. I had a few dresses and blazers cleaned that were very clean. They took care of a few stains I pointed out as well.

Keith Conquest: Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness, ValueI have lived in many states and have used many different dry cleaners. I can honestly say that The Press dry cleaners is by far the best that I have ever used. All the services from alterations to delivery are absolute perfection!!!Services: Alterations, Delivery, Couches/sofas

Alex Ortega: I have been using them for almost two years and at the beginning they were good. Started having issues of items missing but nobody seemed to care, about two months ago they sent my 17 items to the wrong customer. Luckily, he was honest and contacted me directly and returned them. When I brought it up to the people at the dry cleaners they did not care at all. Last order they stole or lost four items. Very expensive bespoke jacket and brand name shirts. I have been calling but no answer. Will stop by and talk to them but based on my previous experience I doubt they will care. I will NOT use this place anymore.

Jax: Positive: Quality, ResponsivenessI spilled bleach on a coat and they told me they couldn’t guarantee anything but would give it a try. It was a beige coat and when I got it back it was almost all a uniform color! I can’t believe they fix discoloration with bleach!

aroma regmi: I had a ball gown from an event last December that needed to be cleaned and sewn back on the strap. They stitched up the straps together very well. It was barely visible!

Eunsun Jee: Had some pants that needed to be altered and was in and out in a few minutes. I tried them on in the store after they were completed and was very happy with the results.

Bonnie Hong: Dropped in some comforters and winter coats during our home cleaning and came back clean and nicely packaged. Great turn around time and on time during the pandemic. Was the only dry cleaner I found open and offering free home delivery. I actually dropped everything off at their store and they offered to deliver it back to my house for free. Really convenient and they offered free masks for me and my family. The store also had the employees wearing masks and had a shield at the counter with hand sanitizer for me to use. Will definitely use their services again.

Donzell Jackson: Positive: Professionalism, Quality, ValueI only trust The Press with my custom dress shirts and have been happy with the customer service they provide.Service: Alterations

Dan Miller: I visited William T Clothiers for a tuxedo rental. From the first call to my appointment, it was a wonderful experience. What a great group of people. Friendly, fun, knowledgeable, and very thorough. It was such a great experience that I may have found an excuse to invest in a custom suit. Great job to William T Clothiers.

E G: I worked with Todd at W.T. Clothiers over Spring 2018 to have a women’s custom blazer and three-piece suit made (jacket, pants, vest). From start to finish my experience was superb. After sending my inquiry via the website, Todd swiftly returned my call to get a feel for what I was looking for, the timing I was looking to have items completed by, and the basics of pricing among different fabrics. I visited his store in Fairfax about a week later (two doors down from a great coffee shop, which was a plus) for my initial fitting and appointment. I’ll confess the fitting took longer than I’d planned – so budget extra, it’s extremely thorough– but it was more than worthwhile since I could be confident throughout the process that the end-result would fit me very well. While I had a generic idea of what I was looking for, it was also at that appointment that Todd sat with me to discuss different fabric options and colors. In terms of choices, there are simply tons. My three-piece suit ended up a dark grey (almost pewter) in a fabric that has some stretch to it; for someone moving around a lot that was a must for me. That said, there were probably roughly a dozen colors that I could have chosen from, from light grey to navy blue to bolder primary colors. While the stretch suit fabric is a bit more limited in color options, for everything else there are literally binders full of things to choose from – suit color, inner lining, details, buttons. You name it, Todd has a wide selection for it. I opted for the more conventional suit fabrics for my blazer. I didn’t have a clear idea in mind of what I was looking for in terms of color, so I commend Todd for gauging my personality, and throwing out some wide options in discussion to get a bit more feel of my style, things out of my comfort zone that I would try, etc. In the end, the blazer I ended up with was *way* out of my original color comfort zone -- and I’m so glad. I opted for a plaid purple and really orate inner lining . The end product is simply stunning; to say I get compliments when I wear either suit is ridiculous understatement. After the initial fitting and selection, the rest was straightforward. I came back twice; once for an initial fitting when things first came in, to make the usual minor adjustments, and the second for the pick up. Todd was easy to schedule with by email, and for pick-ups it was straightforward to drop by and work with his colleague to finalize payment if he was out with another client. Again, it was a great experience from first to last. The prices are a commitment, but it’s an investment, and you’ll get something unique that you’re thrilled with out of the process. I look forward to working with Todd again.

Kevin Miranda: I bought a custom suit from Todd. I will say the experience was amazing. He’s incredibly personable, charismatic but most importantly incredibly professional. He takes you step by step in the process of choosing every detail of your suit. The finished product? Unreal. Absolute perfection. I recommend Todd to absolutely anyone and everyone and will absolutely continue going to him.

Luke Argleben: Todd, you are an artist and I want to be a collector. If you are looking for a masterpiece, look no further. Todd and team will create just that for you. Highly recommended.

Andy arnold: I recently had a great shopping experience! Todd helped me with three pairs of pants. They fit perfectly and are a great addition to my professional business wardrobe. Todd made me feel at ease with the entire process, from custom fitting to purchase. I will definitely plan on returning when I am again in the market to add to my business attire.

Tom Foster: What an amazing experience! I had no idea what a difference custom-to-fit tailored clothes would make. I have had several jackets, shirts and pants created for me by Todd Baldwin over the years, the owner of WT Clothiers. He is really good at his craft and I 100% recommend anyone, man or woman, looking for high quality, well crafted cloths to go make an appointment with Todd. He is also very entertaining and fun to hang out with. He really cares about making you look good!

Sargent Cleaners: what do users think?

Veronica Kim: Sargent is by far the best dry cleaner in DC! I live in Bethesda and come into DC just to go to them-I have been going to them for over 8 years! I get all of my pieces tailored here for they listen to exactly what I want and I end up with the best results (trust me I am extremely picky with alterations). I have also never had an issue with any clothes I get cleaned for they go over any spots and make sure I am happy with everything when I pick up. I have tried other places for convenience and always end up back at Sargent Cleaners!

Andy Moon: Sargent cleaners is an awesome cleaners! I have done several alterations and sophisticated cleaning here and they have always done a great job! If you are in the area I suggest you choose to dry clean here. I recommend Sargent Cleaners to everyone.

Kevin Wadowski: First they completely ruined a suit of mine after charging me $25 to put a simple lapel button-hole on the jacket (a job they completely butchered), and then they removed my original review. I actually recommended them in certain cases in my last review but this is just ridiculous.

REI Co-op: what do users think?

Michael Brown: As a company, REI should not inflict their political beliefs onto customers. That said, they carry good gear and this particular location is fantastic. Every time I have come here they have exactly what I need. The staff are friendly and helpful and generally knowledgeable. I don’t know who makes REI branded clothes and gear, but they do a good job.

Mike R: I like this store for so many reasons. First: they have excellent customer service. Today I walked in with my bike to get my flat tire fixed. A woman approached me and signed me in. Then a man walked up to me and asked if I would like to him to park my bike. I was appalled by this gesture. Second: This establishment has everything here. I mean like… leave that bike area if you want to. You will be buying anything from energy gel to underwear. Third: conveniently located right beside the metro.

Anne Probst: Thank you Jeremy in cycling for taking care of my bike I commute on. Haley assisted and was down to earth and happy. High five to Micah in footwear who helped me find a size in a scarpa I haven’t been able to find in stores in 4 years. He’s super knowledgeable and was connecting with all the customers. Thank you REI DC!

H Gill: Great store! love REI… but checking out here is always a 15 min wait. The checkout line moves at a snail’s pace, and the managers/supervisors don’t seem to care. I’ve seen customers put items down and leave out of frustration.

Rebecca Tolbert: Generally a good store, but the parking situation is currently very weird. You park in the parking deck and then have to walk all the way around a whole city block because they have blocked off the elevator and stairs. So, you drive into the parking deck and then have this surprise journey ahead of you, through a sketchy alley and everything. Just wanted to give other customers a heads up!

R: Oddly enough they aren’t dog friendly yet I saw a pitbull walking around without a service vest. The area around is horrendous, good luck finding a parking spot. Really disappointed that REIs aren’t dog friendly yet their competitors REI and Bass Pro is.

Bogi Yohannes: Many thanks to Tim in the bike repair department for excellent work fixing my brake line and coming up with an alternate way to fix my broken basket being held by zip ties.Tim took the time to really give great customer service and make it an amazing experience.Thank you Tim and REI for the best bike department. You guys rock to keep us rolling.

Goodwill of Greater Washington Retail Store: what do users think?

Reanna Rousseau: I have to say very disrespectful management at this location. The staff was lovely and helpful but the short light skin women manager with the face piercings, with her mask underneath her nose gave me the worst experience I have ever had at goodwill. Her regional needs to have her replaced ASAP. You can’t make your own rules at your store that’s not in policy. You can get fired for things like that and she must be reported. This is a store where they take free items and mark them up for “Goodwill” to sell to the people in the community who can’t afford the regular priced items. If you are over pricing the item you are basically doing a disservice to the community.

Zh Ie: Purchased online from this location. The staff was amazing on checking the condition of the item after purchase, and as an added service on their end, they sent a few extra close-ups even after I had purchased, which was not necessary, but so appreciated that they thought to do that. Above and beyond service, and extremely customer-service oriented.

Kim Barr: I found some lovely things there the staff was very helpful and definitely check out the colors of the week sales. I was able to get a 15.99 suit for 3.99 because of the colors of the week sale.

Franklin Owens III: I was there for clothing… but I can never pick out clothing in a thrift store, so I left with books. The store was well organized though. I tend to be a bit uncomfortable buying items out of thrift stores. I didn’t care much for the clothes. But there were other items in the home section were really nice. Everyone was nice in the thrift store. Even when I gathered a cart full of books and then realized I couldn’t use my clothing voucher on books😬😅

bluslushii: Been to multiple Goodwills, the staff was by far the most helpful and I honestly received the best customer service I did at any business. Definitely will be returning! Thank you so much ladies for being so kind and helpful!

BicycleSPACE- Ivy City: what do users think?

Alex Martin: Leave it up to the wonderful people of Washington DC to complain about “rude” behavior. Maybe like one dude in the back was a douche but at least he was an honest douche. If you appreciate radical honesty then this place is worth a visit. Also Justin new kid training had great insight to give when it came to my curiosity about fixed bikes. Last but not least the owner made absolute sure my bike fit my body size, far more than the competition ever did. Will send people to this location for sure.

Louise Pocock: I’ll preface by saying I’m not a bike head but went to this shop in my neighborhood after moving to DC because I wanted to make biking my primary mode of transport. These guys spent hours listening to what kind of bike I wanted and how I planned to used it and explained all my options and answered all my questions patiently and thoroughly. I not only bought a bike but learned a lot about bikes and how to take care of them. They got me set up with all the practical locks/lights/fenders etc for a very reasonable price. When I wrecked they fixed it right away and for free (no replacement part needed, just my fenders reattached). I have been back several times for other little things and they always help me right away and keep me riding. I love my bike shop!

Mike Carr: Many bike shops are plagued with pretentious staff. This is NOT the case at Bicycle Space. The employees are all super friendly and helpful. As an added bonus their location in Ivy City is easy to get to from most parts of DC and there is almost always easy parking right out front. This shop also sponsors many fun bicycle events in the area, such as the Saturday Cupcake Ramble lead by Lionel!

Jessica Long: I was in the market for a new bike for commuting and racing as I start to get into triathlon training. The staff there was very engaging, kind, and knowledgeable. Definitely recommend it!

Julia Lo: As others have mentioned, slow service and poor communication. I came in for a quick/on-the-spot repair but halfway through the repair the bolt on my front derailleur broke off. I was told that the mechanic would take a look at it the following week to see if he could get the bolt off, or if we had to order a replacement. I checked in periodically and was often told that they would get to my bike and provide an update "later today" and "tomorrow". Long story short, my bike was at the shop a little over 3 weeks. I would have appreciated an honest and realistic time estimate from the beginning. My brakes, which were replaced during the visit, were also squeaky when It came back to me. I would return to the shop only to have the squeaking return after after a day or so. The mechanic often talked trash about REI, but in my opinion they have not proven to be any better.

Nick Webster: BicyleSPACE is a wonderful, friendly, downtown bike shop. I stopped in to look around and a knowledgeable staff member took the time to show me around in a no pressure manner. When I am in the market for a new set of wheels, I will be in.

Marc Pulliam: Not sure how they have 4 stars. These guys are very unprofessional. No type of customer service I call and ask if they sold bike pedals the response was were a. Bike shop how rude. Ordered a bike and had it shipped to be assembled which should had only taken a minimum of two days. My bike has been there over a week and all they can tell me is that they are backed up because there mechanic was tboned. They said they would follow up but I have not received any follow ups. At this point it will be faster to cancel my purchase and have a bike shipped to a different shop. No focus on customer service here don’t say you wasn’t warned

DICK'S Sporting Goods: what do users think?

Aaron Contic: Came into this location to purchase a set of irons, found a set of Taylormade M2 irons that I initially thought were correctly priced at $499. I asked the team member working in the golf department that I was interested and ask where the rest of the set was. He replied that the rest of the set was missing. I asked what was the current price with 3 clubs of the 7 iron set missing? His response was “that’s the price, my manger won’t change it for some reason, but you can ask him” So I asked to speak to the manger which He initially said was available. I was then told that the manager currently on duty was conveniently on a conference call and was now unavailable and the answer was “NO” on a new price for the remaining clubs. To start the team member was friendly and helpful. That being said. I’m also a manager in retail and if a customer asked to talk to a manager about a reasonable question. Im not going to have my employee have to tell the customer “NO” That’s terrible customer service and it’s also a bad business practice to try to sell customers a product that’s missing pieces for the same price as if it’s not!

Maritza Cooper: Always a pleasure to visit this location. The store is always clean and organized. You usually get greeted as you walk in the door. The associates are always helpful and pretty knowledgeable. They will go out of their way to help! Well stocked too! Bought a fitness trampoline to keep a 7 yr old from going stir crazy in an apartment during these NO School days! Hope it works! It was Waaay up high. Had 3 different associates make sure I got what needed. All while helping other customers.

Ara Koh: Ok location compared to other ones. Nicely organized but their shoes selection is not so great.

The Next King: Shallun was amazing!!!! Great help. First time coming to Dick’s Sporting Goods and I was impressed I will be back thank you.

david fegan: good experience shopping here today. multiple staff members were helpful.

Angie Owens: oh my goodness I was on the phone with my cousin, while she was shopping for football cleats for her son. When I tell you that the amount of "OUTSTANDING" customer service that the professional young lady "Ryan" gave to her while she was shopping was absolutely amazing!! I had to tell my cousin through the phone to please tell Ms. Ryan that the level of coatomer service she gave was "THE BEST" that I have seen in a very long time. Ryan if your reading this please keep up the good work!! I am extremely proud of you young lady.

Liliana Gonzalez: Zach did a great job helping me find the the gym equipment I needed. He even helped me load these items into my car after I doubted if the gym equiptment I bough would fit. Thank you so much to him and Horse for the exellent service!

Bella Adoni: Varieties of sports goods. Place was clean and staffs very attentive. They acknowledged us at the time of entry. I and my friend were the only customers in the store. I could have given the store five stars if the price for most of the items were reasonable.

Walmart Supercenter: what do users think?

Arielle M. (Mermaid): This is the best Walmart in DC. I actually drive out the way to go to this walmart. They even have a better food selection than Giant. For Easter I found 48 count of empty eggs for 1.98!! Which is amazing because I would of spent way more if I went anywhere else!

Sarah West: A large mixed selection of items you can get any 3 for TEN DOLLARS. Selected high end new items are priced accordingly. Kids, mens, and womans apparel and shoes. If you have the knack for treasure hunting in thrift stores.....THIS PLACE IS FOR YOU. thrifty and unique pieces all year round

Jennifer Bowling: No shopping carts. Waited a long time and eventually just went back down to the parking garage to get one myself. The shelves were very disorganized in some areas and a lot of out of stock products. And the lines were very long. The cart escalator was broken and both elevators had orange signs indicating they were not safe for use, but were still being used.

Walmart Supercenter: what do users think?

Kev- keepingitreal: This Walmart offers Capital City Mambo Sauce, Fruits, Vegetables, Seafood, Poultry, Dairy and all sorts of Household Items. This Walmart needs to improve its Elevator services, only two out three of the elevators are working, it would be nice if they removed one of the elevator and replace it with stairs that lead customers from the parking garage to the street level and to Walmart store level for easy access. The current stairs only give customer access from the street level to Walmart store and no access to the parking garage. This Walmart includes a Pharmacy and free two hours of parking in the parking garage. This store has shopping carts available in the store and in the garage areas.

Aminah Imani: Its conveniently located but not the best Walmart to be in. The customers were loud and the security with large bullet proof vests doesn’t make it a welcoming vibe. Grab your products and head out quick. They do validate parking and leave patience for the slow running elevators. The employees were helpful and efficient. This location isn’t my preference but it gets the job done when in dire need.

Sassy Sauce: Mixed experience with this store. It’s a good location and there is parking available in the underground garage. First 2 hours are free. The store has items locked in a case that I couldn’t understand. For example, women’s underwear and some personal hygiene items. Also, the store wasn’t too crowded while I was there and the associate I asked to help me gave me clear directions as to what aisle the product I needed would on. The parts of the store I visited were clean and the overall shopping experience was ok. No major complaints. Just strange observations about profits being locked behind glass.

C. Zed: Well it exists, that I appreciate. I’ll continue to shop here. The cashiers scan items more than once, has already happened twice for me. The store is small and often too messy. The aisles are narrow, and the carts are way too big for the store. Many items are locked behind cases. Could be a better experience, especially for the closest location to the US Capitol.

Henok Garedew (Henny breezy): There is always problems in this specific Walmart all the timeI don’t recommend it

Van D Peluche: Terrible terrible. Twice I have ordered online groceries and the first time I did not get it until an hour later and the second time I didn’t get it until a day later than the scheduled period. Absolutely awful. Plus no one in any department answers phone calls. And their produce is very poor quality. May as well not even have the grocery delivery service. Will not even notify about orders being held for the next day.

Harriet Saulsbury: Love shopping at Walmart, some of the eorker are rude ask them a question they always say its not my department and walk away. Another thing as many seniors and disable people shopping there on a daily basis you only have maybe 10 electric scooters for the entire store which is a super store but you have maybe only 2 scooters working. You also took away your seating you have in the lobby of the stores where are we supposed to sit and wait on rides and family members to finish shopping?
