Leanne Anderson: This is my first time renting a car from this location. The pickup process was very smooth. When I showed up to return the car there were 7 people in line on the sidewalk. On the windows were signs stating only 1 person in the building at a time as well as updates mask mandate information. I finally got in after an hour + of waiting only to be told that returns are inside the garage on the 3rs floor!! There was only 1 woman working doing it all. She was amazing and handling her part with ease. However the management was lacking on the week of Christmas with all the people traveling for the holidays why did they only schedule 1 person to work!!! There was a gentleman that went in & out of the back office a few times while I was waiting but he did NOT step in to help out. I’m really disappointed in the lack of communication! At the least hang a sign with direction beside all the other signs!!!

Daniela Abreu: If you really need a car, in certain time and day: DO NOT CHOSE THIS LOCATION. First, I want to mention that I live 3 blocks from them and - EVERY DAY - there is a big line outside and I could not understand why until this weekend. I had friends over and I decided to rent a car to drive them around the city. I booked and paid the reservation online to get the car at 9h30am. I arrived at the store at 9am and already there were 5 people - very mad - in front of me. The store had no cars available. Nothing. Zero. Nada! After me arrived another 4 groups... all of them with reservation for 9am, 9h15, 09h30 and no cars. Unfortunately, I could not leave because I had to get the car, but other people left and had problems to cancel their reservation. It took me 3h30min to get a car. I left that place at 12h30pm. Half of the day was lost. Besides this lack of respect selling more than they have and make the client to wait for hours for a car, I have never been attended for such unpolite and rude staff. Also, the car I got was dirty inside, smelled bad and was bumped on the side, besides being completely misaligned and almost jeopardizing our safety. Budget is a fine rent car. But this location I do not recommend. Believe me, if you rent with them and read this review, you will remember me when you are in the line waiting for a car that they do not have it.

Michael Martin: This was among the worst customer service experiences I have had. When I showed up at 11:15 for my 11:30 reservation, I was told there were no cars, that there *might* be other cars I. 30 minutes, and that we all had to stay out in the rain or lose our places in line. The desk guy said this was a “normal” definition of a reservation, just like a restaurant, and refused to call other locations. When I explained the situation to other customers joining the line, he accused me of causing trouble. I will not rent from any Budget location in the foreseeable future.

Saurabh Wani: Apparently, this center does not have Fastbreak setup. So, wait time in the queue is long but this center has the best operational hours compared to other budget/ Avis centers in the DMV area (except airports) but again getting your rental from airport is expensive as compared to non-airport locations. If they setup fastbreak, this will be my go-to place for rental cars every time I’m in DMV area.

C f: Staff was kind. However, I had to wait half an hour in line to get the car (because there was not enough staff given the workload), the car was dirty, and the tank almost empty.

Buck Downs: Be prepared to wait outside on the sidewalk for 70-90 minutes to get the car. It will be filthy, so be prepared to clean it before you take your trip. The people are nice enough, but completely understaffed and overwhelmed.

helloleesh: Reserved a car for 5 days (pickup 9a, drop-off 10a on 5th day). Paid $339, happy with original reservation. Day-of, there was a line that kept us waiting nearly an hour (person in front of us said “it’s always like this). Picked up 951a, forcing us to leave late. Lady at counter asked if we’d like insurance, and we opted yes, thinking this would add about $50 like other rental places. Car was good, though not clean. I still detailed the car before returning it. Upon drop-off, we were charged an ADDITIONAL $479 for the insurance we opted into. Additionally, we were done a “favor” by the staff by not charging us an extra day because we dropped off at 10a (as per my reservation) not by 951a. I made a reservation from 9a day 1 to 10a day 5. Then I’m almost penalized for having the car for less than that period? Opted into nearly $500 in coverages and Budget doesn’t think it’s prudent to tell their customers they’re being charged this much?! Make it make sense. So disappointed. Went into this expecting to pay $338-400. Left over $800 in the hole. Never again.

Albert Wu: Reviewers say the garage for car return for this location is unusual, unclear, and without clear signage. I have to return a car here and I have never been at this location. I called them several times to inquire, and every time I was put on hold for a long time and then automatically disconnected by their phone system. If they were so busy to answer calls, they should at least have good direction on where and how exactly to return a car on their website or somehow actively provided to customers. This is disappointing. I did return a car at this location, and I found out why nobody and answered the phone. Apparently the location was seriously understaffed. The office on the street corner was closed although lights were on. On every window a sign indicated customers had to go to an underground garage in an adjacent building on the back. To find that out, I had to park the car somewhere and visit the branch office. Their was no notifications of the temporary arrangement from the airport Enterprise where I had picked up the car. I drove to the entrance of the garage. There were two Enterprise signs on either side of the entrance but one sign was covered by another sign. The other sign was covered by two parking lot staff chatting at the entrance. Moreover that sign actually pointed into the alley beside the garage entrance. It’s a misdirecting sign. The lone Enterprise staff inside the cramped garage was courteous. However, the car return experience was unsatisfactory because of the bad driving directions.

maggie ahern: I had the most wonderful experience at this location. Alex was super friendly and so helpful. I came in, loaded the rental car, and left within 10 minutes. He even upgraded me to a beautiful convertible Mustang. This is now my go to spot for rentals in DC!

Rebecca Schussler: This was my first time using this location. It wasn’t confusing at all, Enterprise also sent me a helpful email a few days prior to my rental, explaining where to go upon arrival. The team was super helpful (huge shoutout to the Auburn alum - War Eagle!) and I was on the road in no time. Drop off was equally easy, again the staff was super helpful and had me on my way quickly. 10/10 would use this location again.

Artistik Artistik: When booking a train trip into town, the branch near Union Station had previously told me there was no availability at their location for the date in question, so I chose this branch instead. I reserved a car, and was told one would be available when I arrived. However, when I arrived, the office was closed (at 3:05 PM, and I was never notified that my pickup time was AFTER their normal hours of operation) and there was a note attached to the door stating that renters should walk to a parking garage a block away. When I got to the parking garage, it was sealed up with no one in sight. I called the number on the garage wall, and spoke to a VERY unhelpful staff member of the Residence Inn under which the garage was located who refused to open the door or provide any information other than to give me the number for the office, which they didn’t seem to care when I told them it was closed. I was left stranded in Downtown Washington DC on a hot day with my elderly disabled mother having to walk several blocks with me while I tried to contact this office. Eventually, I had to resort to an Uber (which cost me nearly the amount of the rental itself) to get my mother and I to the hotel just in time to make her only granddaughter’s wedding. I was even told by a helpful local that this Enterprise Rent-A-Car has a reputation as being “the bad one,” and that the one in Georgetown was far superior. Despite the fact that I left them two messages, they never contacted me back today to apologize or even explain why they left me without a car. It is so sad that this company, which I have found to usually be reliable and professional, has a branch like this one that sucks so bad at customer service that the locals know about it and spread the word to avoid it. If this is how they treat their renters, I would not be surprised to see them shuttered very soon. Utter garbage fire of a shop.

Jessica Barrow (US): There is a man called Chambers who works at this location. I vote Chambers as CEO. The best experience I have EVER had with a rental company. I wasn’t even renting from Chamber’s location. Chamber’s is extremely knowledgeable, patient and helped me problem solve an unusual booking. 30 minutes of answering difficult questions and was just lovely!! He even said to call back if I have any issues at all (and he meant it!!!).

Manatees Moo: Rented and purchased online only to arrive and get told they were all out of vehicles. Hour and a half later a vehicle became available. This vehicle had a slow leak/flat tire from a nail in it but they were closed by the time we figured out why the tire pressure was slowly decreasing. Business seems to lack organization and the interior of the building is messy.

Jeff Kryger: I had made a reservation in advance on the 18th. When I showed up on the 25th to pick up my car, the location had zero inventory. I had to wait 90 minutes while a car was brought up from Reagan Airport and cleaned before I could check out. This 1. Made me late for the event I was going to and 2. I had to pay more to fill the car up to cover the gas used to bring the car from Reagan to the Blair Road location. No notice was given about the inventory or delay so I could plan accordingly, and no compensation was offered for my wait and overall inconvenience. The staff at the location were friendly enough, but that only goes so far. The rental car itself was great, I just wish it had been far easier to pick it up. EDIT: The territory manager reached out to me today to gather more feedback and address my concerns. That was very much appreciated.

svt4001: The most important thing that guides my willingness to recommend Budget to a friend or colleague is the level of customer service I was given. The car was great and the price was reasonable, but the staff went above and beyond my expectations to ensure that my experience was positive! Another rental, another great experience! Highly recommend!

Olivia Dougherty: So unbelievably kind and helpful! I rented a moving truck from Budget at this location. Had it for the day with a 3 PM return. They told me before I left the lot that they wanted me to be safe so if I would be any longer after 4 PM when they close on Saturdays, I could call them to return the keys. Ended up making it just before 4, and they couldn’t have been nicer. Good people who understand and are looking out for you.

Ben Shih: My wife rented a car in October, no issues. Then in December we get a letter saying that there was damage to a tire and that they had charged our credit card over $600. After calling up the chain we were able to get the charged refunded. The prices here are too good compared to Enterprise so I find myself going back but beware you may have issues. Perhaps pay the $20-30 for full coverage just to be safe.

Dr. Sharad Nair: Excellent service although I was a walk in however I was given car without front tag and with expired registration 🤦‍♂️was pulled over by police but was let of with warning when they saw the rental contract. Called reservations was passed onto emergency. While emergency was polite and explained next steps he could not block a replacement car for us at he next destination. Its seriously unprofessional of Avis to give is a car with expired registration & no front number tag

David Grillo: As it has already been mentioned a complete disaster. I prepaid for the car and after waiting 20 minutes to bring the car up they tell me they do not have the size car I paid for and they would offer me a smaller car or pay for a upgrade. Those were my choices. Take it or leave it. When I get the car it is dirty and 1/4 tank of gas. Stay away from this location. The manager was in and out of her personal car and did not care. I had to go to a gas station after leaving so I could make my trip. Unbelievable!!!!

Bill Holler: This was a really horrible experience. Although I had a firm reservation for a luxury car, there was no car available and no service either. The counter at the station was not occupied and it took me 2 hours and endless phone calls with their "service hotline" to get a car in the other part of the city. All the time I was standing in the open in the child and surrounded by incredible noise in that station. It was an experience that I do not want to repeat. AVIS can certainly do better than this.

Dennis de la Roy: Overall it was one of the better rental experiences I have had. There was no wait and it did not take long to get me checked-in. Every step of the process was clearly explained. I think that I was upgraded so that was nice too. Even when things do not go the way they should, the team knows how to deal with them. Due to a small technical error I was not able to return the car with the same amount of fuel. The colleague that took the car back in solved this hassle-free. In short, MJ and her team provide excellent customer service and are there for you when you need them! I definitely recommend them for your rides around DC.

Pia Bacolod: One star because they did give me a car when I needed one. Took out a star because of the bad quality of car. In 12 years of driving rental cars (I’m a fleet driver), this is by far the ickiest car I’ve driven. Took out another star for the staff making promises they couldn’t keep (I blame the manager and the lackluster training). Took out another star for the manager MJ who never acknowledged my complaint. Took out another star for the manager MJ who promised to call me when a better car would be available but didn’t. Supposed to have a rental from May 9th till end of July. No thanks. Not from this branch. Returned.

Riley Pagett: After waiting for several hours with other rental car companies only to be told their cars were now out of stock or unavailable, or they wouldn’t accept my form of payment, or that I couldn’t pick up a car on the same day as making a reservation, MJ at Enterprise came to the rescue. She helped me make a reservation and get a desired vehicle all within minutes. I’m loyal to Enterprise and this location now.

Kai Kaiser: Booked on Expedia, and arrived with no car availability. Told simply that the two systems don’t talk to each other in real time? In this day and age, really? Then was told that I would need to check other location myself to find vehicle.

Michaela Wiggins: Enterprise (Southwest DC location) are definitely underrated. The customer service I received was exceptional. They did everything in their power to make sure I was able to rent for my children’s birthday as well as making sure the vehicle was the best size and quality. The inside was extremely clean and with a 7 passenger vehicle , it only took about $35-45 to fill up. I would definitely come back here again. Thanks for the amazing customer service .

Andres Norena: False advertising!!! Made reservations on same day and this store and agent Will had the practice of forcing a paid upgrade with such under false advertising, which is completely wrong and unethical. I have rented dozens of times with other companies and I this is the only time instead of doing the right thing for not having the correct car and upgrading at no cost, the agent played games and forced me to pay extra when I could hear on the radio he had the same level I reserved. Made me go outside to look at the car he wanted me to take and if I didn’t, he was going to make me wait 40 minutes once I confronted him that heard that he had the car level I reserved. On top of that, when I call to report, they had no interest about the issue or the practice, so I guess it’s their way to make extra money, so had no interest about this or in listening about the poor condition this car was, I attach just a few pictures. Clearly this car wasn’t disinfected or cleaned, which is terrible during Covid times.

Milen Dinkov: The most unbelievable experience at this place... I arrived at the scene of 5 different Avis Preferred members who all had apparently made reservations days (some weeks) ahead, waiting in line outside the office in the cold rain, none of them with umbrellas… for hours!! “We don’t have cars, please step outside and wait until called” would be all they say. I asked to speak to the manager - “not available”. I asked them to let the people without umbrellas in - “not possible, they can go in the garage” was the answer. How is this place allowed to exist?!?! Appalling! Avis - at a min please fire that manager asap, or better - close this office down. Forgot to mention - I never ended up getting a car from this place that day. I have two 5-month-old babies and had reserved a full size car. After waiting for an hour in the cold rain, my turn finally came. The rep begrudgingly offered to help me after my earlier expressed frustration at the silent idiocy that was taking place there… just to tell me I am getting a Compact car! At this point, after I overcame my disbelief I just said “F it” and left for a Hertz office..

James Lee: Great experience overall! I stopped by on a drizzly Monday afternoon to pick up my car, and I got helped right away. Agent Will was very helpful, and the car was ready right away just outside the office. The car was very clean inside and outside. Thanks!

CB: NEARLY GOT INTO A CAR ACCIDENT, GIVEN THE WRONG CAR! Budget assured my girlfriend and I that we could secure a 4WD car if we called several days in advance. Our trip required a 4WD car rental, as there was off-road driving involved. We were given a Front wheel drive (FWD) car and assured it was 4WD. We got to the off-roading part of the drive and found the car could not make it up the hill- we ended up rolling back into a rut on the side of the road. Upon checking the car manual to see if it could help us, I found that the manual we were given did Not match the car we were driving! The car did not have any 4WD setting and we later found out that it was indeed only FWD. A local helped us out of the situation and we then needed to drive two hours out of our way to trade for an actual 4WD car. We lost 4-6 hours with this whole ordeal, plus about $60 of gas. I attached a picture of the console and what it was listed as in the manual. Had we indeed needed emergency features, we would have not had proper instructions available. This is a walking lawsuit and management simply blames the customer for the company’s mistakes, rather than actually rectify the issue. We have tried contacting customer service for this location. Though they lied about the car model and we were very nearly injured, we were only offered $50 off the $180 rental based on a fraudulent reservation. I will be following up with the National Transportation Safety Board, but what terrible customer service and management. Unresponsive managers when we tried to resolve the issue, I waited several hours for them to call me back and was then yelled at by a representative for asking what the delay was about. Just go elsewhere- maybe Zipcar or Enterprise. Apparently Budget values customers’ lives and safety at $50.00.

ANYA RANDALL NEBEL: Horrible experience. Don’t bother early check in because they won’t have your car. If you paid in advance just know that they still won’t have anything that you asked for ready. Also, if they tell you they will Give you an upgrade for the same price for your trouble you won’t get that either. Not even any sympathy especially if you have somewhere else to be Also if you have someone drop you off make sure they stay cause you could be stuck

All the while, the car felt very unsafe to drive.

Sebastian Gomez: This location is closed. God knows since when. The customer service told me it closed, but they didn’t know since when. Then only option is to return it in the airport, which means $35 of an uber back to downtown. Worst experience. Nobody seems to know anything. One representative tells you to look for it, the other one that is closed out, other one that they’re gonna send a truck to pick it up. Finally, they demand to return it in the airport. And the worst is that they treated me as it was my fault. Horrible customer service. Never booking with this company again.

Jennifer Newhall: We had and excellent experience renting with this budget location. The 2 women working there were kind, pleasant and very easy to work with from the start. I realized I left my wallet in the car after they had just closed, they stayed late after their shift ended to get the keys out of the safe and help us out. I am forever grateful!!

Miskir: Very satisfied with my recent rental car experience from this location. The employee who handled my rental was informative and polite, and the car i received was brand new with best rental prices I could find for a 7 passenger vehicle for my trip, thanks for the best services & I will definitely rent from here again!

Richard Santiago: After taking an Uber to get to this location, they told me that there was no car available. It’s like getting into an airport with a confirmation number but then the airline will tell you that there’s no seat available. Is that acceptable? They just said sorry but didn’t even compensate me for my Uber ride from my hotel to their location. What a waste of time, effort and money!

Joshua Allen: Added a bunch of insurances to my rental after I said I only wanted collision. Ended up charging me $300 over my rental fee. Was hard to dispute since my signature was next to it all. Also, returns here are awful. No instruction in the parking deck and no one to guide you or pick up the car.

Katie Owens: For the person(s) who said they’ve rented from this location for 5 years: that’s not possible! It only opened late in 2021. Perhaps you’re thinking of the location on Calvert? That closed during Covid and this new location (inside the Glover Park Hotel) opened sometime in late summer / early Fall 2021. The customer service is great. I like the Wisconsin Ave NW location except for the hours and inability to drop off after hours. Since the Calvert location used the hotel garage you could drop off a vehicle after the office was closed. It was fantastic. Since this location is closed Saturday and Sunday and only open M-F from 8-5 (minus lunch break) it greatly reduces accessibility and usefulness for all dc drivers who rent cars for weekend travels and errands. It’s too expensive for me to extend a Friday reservation to return on Monday so maybe consider giving us a free weekend… OR allow us to return off hours with a drop box!

Dwayne Clayburn: I have never given anyone a 5 star ratings before because I never knew or have ever gotten a 5 star treatment before. What is given to make it 5 stars is the what I get when I go pick up my ride . I called to let them know things were running slow and behind they offered to pick me up they even called me because they found my baby "Tahoe" told me to go pick it up awesome I made the swap and I was in heaven. The service is quick the team is friendly go check them out at the Calvert St. Enterprise Washington DC

Alex Navarro: Good location in Glover Park at the hotel. However, I reserved a mid-sized car and they “upgraded” me to a sports car. I had car seats to put in so that was not going to work. Thankfully, they were able to get another car over from a different location, but it did take some time I didn’t really have to spare. The person working was very kind though, so I would use them again. Be aware they are pricier than other locations only a few miles away in VA due to the city address I assume.

Oliver Wilcox: Tried to rent from here to drive out of town for family funeral. Waited over 30 minutes for car. Car smelled. Drove it home. Found food litter on backseat floor. Made multiple calls and sent multiple emails to resolve situation. Some branch responsiveness on vehicle retrieval and refund, but took a lot of prompting/checking in on customer’s part. Four days later, still waiting for confirmation of complete refund. Area Manager and Regional Office calls were promised but didn’t happen. No acknowledgment of family situation offered. Tiffany Gaskins: The car was unclean in the interior and exterior. Halfway through my reservation, I found a used mask behind the seat. Customer service only gave me a $50 certificate for my next rental. As if I would rent with Hertz again! I returned the car and reserved another car with Enterprise. Their cars are clean and safe. And they have better customer service.

M M: The service here is absolutely the worst. First, they added charges on my contract that I had explicitly told them not to charge. Second, they claimed that the vehicle was not returned when it had been returned two days ago (see photo). Nor can the correct location be found on their website and no one here picks up the phone number. Indeed, it is impossible to contact the center and they simply do not care. I’m taking my business elsewhere after this extremely unpleasant and ongoing experience. People really have better things to do than asking a corporation to return them their rightful money.

--: I give them three stars. The service agents were okay. Corporate made a tereible decision creating this location. They have a small desk with only two employees handling over a dozen customers at once. So, I don’t blame them for not being able to get to a lot of customers on time. What I do not like is having to wait for over three hours for a car that I already had a reservation for, and getting a car with McDonalds fries under the seat. And worst of all—them not finding the keys I dropped off and charging me two days worth of late fees. I had to call them dozens (that’s not an exaggeration) of times for them to close out my reservation and void the costs. The first time I called them, the man said he’d handle it, and he didn’t. The second time they answered my call, they put me on hold for twenty minutes, then hung up on me. When they finally answered the phone again, it took about a half hour for them to finally get to me and resolve thebissue. I’m hoping my “late fees” get voided…

L L: The employee was helpful, but the company thinks very little little of their customers. Waited about two hours to get the car because there was only one person working. Go elsewhere and save your time and your sanity.

Tricia Babinski: Do not rent from here! I made a reservation days in advance. It took 1 1/2 hours waiting in line to pick up a car, then was given a vehicle that had exterior damage, the volume did not work on the sound system and the car was not clean. Basically they gave us a beater. I called to let them know I was having issues with the car and that was a pain too. Waiting on hold forever when I had more important things to do is ridiculous. Returned the car a day early and 3 weeks later I get a $250 bill for a “soiled car” This is a joke. My daughter and I did not make this car any dirtier than it was when we picked it up, if anything it was cleaner after us. We threw away someone else’s garbage that was left in it. I have never been charged for a dirty car. They are not cleaning the cars before renting them and then charging customers as if they are cleaning them!! Avis and budget are the same so avoid both!!

I am hard of hearing and with masks struggled to hear the lady at the counter. their entire attitude was that by being a customer you are automatically by your existence annoying them. I understand customer service is hard, but I try really really hard to be as nice as possible and when in return I get an employee who makes it very clear that even my presence annoys them it’s just extremely disappointing 2) who the hell packs their cars like this??

Robert Dekker: Told us we had to wait 1 hour for our car… even though we made our reservation months ago and were on time (not early). We were upset, and so was our jet lagged fussy toddler. Explained that any other rental car company would offer us ANY available car, but told us “only the luxury cars are available and you have to pay extra for those”. Too late to cancel now even if we wanted. Budget: why offer us this reservation time in the first place if a car wouldn’t be ready??? You have terrible customer service. Avoid avoid avoid!!!!

Naomi Garvin: What a disappointing experience. I paid an additional fee for a Jeep Wrangler, wish I hadn’t. The car arrived with extensive damage to the exterior and a filthy interior. I’ve never been so disappointed in service & overall professionalism.

Mary R.: I wish I could give this place and this company a 0. A family member of mine rented a car from this place. 15 days after returning the car this person got charged $250. No receipt or email. I called Budget from VA airport, their number doesn’t work. Called costumer service and they told me that it was the down payment and the money will be returned back. This makes no sense because it was 15 days after my family member has returned the car. A couple days later I call again to see what they would tell me and said that it was a cleaning fee. WHAT?!?! This family member is a clean freak and has integrity, would never leave a trash/dirt on a car rental. Costumer service told me they were sending pictures via email. THE MOST SKETCHY AND BLURRY pictures I’ve ever seen in my life. My family member said they never left it like that and they are trying to charge them for NOTHING. We called again one more time and explained in a respectful manner that the “dirty car” never happened. They said they’ll refund us so we shall see. NEVER AGAIN BUDGET!!!!!!!!

Bobby Ross: The Budget staff and team were super friendly, accommodating, and understanding. I typically and exclusively (and formerly) rent with Enterprise. When my flight got canceled, the manager at enterprise had no interest in helping me out with a one way rental even though I had just rented from them and returned my car a few hours earlier. The price of my Budget rental was similar to what I would expect to pay at enterprise. Very thankful for this team and their flexibility.

Marilyn White: I can’t blame them. They have hundreds of cars in/out daily at this location, but please don’t leave me hanging on a car seat. Oddly enough, I thought about bringing my car seat from home but it really was an inconvenience to do so. I think I foolishly assumed that by prepaying the odds of not getting a car seat were significantly lowered. I was inconvenienced either way. I would have appreciated the courtesy of not having my sale completed (cc swiped) before telling me there was no seat available. But that wasn’t the end of the bad experience. I was given a car without seatbelts in the backseat. I’m not making this up. I had 2 Budget agents check it out because I did not think it was possible. But anything is possible. The nice lady helping me in the car lot quickly switched me out and had me on my way to find a car seat of course. Good luck!

Lindsey Piper: My flight from DC to Portland Maine was canceled and I was not going to be able to get home for two days. I was able to rent a very nice car from Budget for under $200 and get home far earlier. At a time when flights are insanely priced, it was very much appreciated. The staff at the counter was kind, understanding and swift. It was a very good experience overall.

Robert Rossi: The car we reserved was ready and waiting when we arrived, despite our flight being delayed. The agent was quick and efficient and respected our coverage preferences without browbeating us about them. The car was safe and ready to go (I always check fluids before pulling out, and one of the car prep team members even stopped to ask if anything was wrong, like a dead battery: that was a first!) and in good condition. The rental fee was fair. We waited for the shuttle bus to get to the rental counter, but on our return leg realized that from Terminal A it is an easy (indoor) walk, and even from B it might be faster if the buses are backed up. Would certainly rent from this location again.

I appreciated the effort.

Alasdair Shinner: Alexis today was most efficient and courteous. Car was ready and on time. You can have a good experience here! Only 4*s as car was a liitle tired, particularly the front passenger seat which was extensively stained.

sankofa7: The staff and service at this location are EXCEPTIONAL. Taliay, the manager, and her staff Jordan and Jeffrey go out of their way to ensure quality service. Because of their professionalism, timely responsiveness, and flexibility, I have rented cars from the Washington Hilton (Dupont Circle) location each week for the past two months. I am not sure why ratings at this location are low. It is worth your efforts renting a vehicle at this location in DC. -- friendly, timely, courteous, accommodating, and professional.

Stephanie Corte: The service provided by the two people who I encountered at the office was good. They were very helpful. My only issue is with the location. It was hard directing myself to get there for a drop-off, because it wasn’t clear that I had to drive into the hotel parking lot to park the car and then make my way up to the lobby to find the office. Once I called their office number though, they clarified where I needed to enter and how to find the office.

Gregory Mitchell: Great customer service. Received a call from Marty several days before my pickup confirming the vehicle and availability. Rental was ready and clean when I showed up. We recommend this location for convenience if in the city.

Julien Bolard: I booked a car two weeks before. When I came to pick it up, they told me that they had no car left. They offered me to put my name on a waiting list, after what maybe I could have a car by the end of the day. No need to say more. Avoid.

DC Explorer: Great experience here. Service was great and so was the car. Much more convenient than going to the airport to pick up a car. Well done.

Sunset Group: Worst customer service! Do not reserve or rent from this location unless you want to be left with out a car in a last minute situation. The staff at this location are extremely rude and unhelpful.

Lubos Runcak: Helpful staff, quick process to get car and hit the road. 10 min from arriving to getting the keys. Cleaned, nicely smelling car waiting along with child safety seat as preordered.

Mary N: Can i give zero stars? Counter help not friendly or assisting, car over 2 hrs past scheduled pick up time. No customer status updates or support for the delay in car delivery.

S: While the line looked long, it actually moved fairly quickly processed via the Hertz counter. Friendly employee. Received an upgrade to a clean and nice SUV. SUV was ready to go right in the front of the lot.

Lola Isaiah: I was booked with thrifty rental by a third party service. No part of the agreement states that a security deposit of $500 would be required, neither was it clearly stated that I would be needing a matching credit card for payment. I travelled from Dallas to Washington with the aim of getting a rental car to my destination; unfortunately I was stranded for three(3) good hours at thrifty rental. I was told $500 security deposit was required, which I never questioned. I tendered my credit card, but the personnel refused to accept it stating that the name on my credit card must match the name on my driver license. I explained to her, that I am the card bearer, and the name on my credit card is my maiden name, while my driver license bears my marital name. This representative refused me blindly. I even called thrifty customer service, after being on hold for so long, the representative said there was nothing she could do about it. I went ahead to present my travel itinerary, yet it made no difference to this people. I have never felt so hopeless in my life. Stranded for hours for a service I already paid for. After about 3hrs of no positive outcome, I tried Enterprise, and all this was resolved in a jiffy. I received better customer service with them. Thrifty hasn’t made a refund for the 2days rental service I paid for, nor rendered any apologies for the inconveniences they caused me. Thrifty is a total waste of time and resources, i would never use this rental service again.

Nils Hünerfürst: Rented a car more than twice from the DCA Airport. They often have the shortest line and are always super fast. I would recommend to Plan your Route before your rent your car and maybe the EZ Pass is a value option for your trip. After the rent is complete your have to take the upper floor to get your car. Very easy and customer friendly.

kemuel murray: The worse experience ever. I tried to rent a car through Priceline two weeks before when I get there they tell me they don’t have any cars. This is after waiting in line for an hour with only two people in front of me. I understand staff shortages but that does not inhibit customer service.

Lauren Christian: I used this company on Friday 11/5. I decided last minute I wanted to book a sprinter to take my friends and I to dinner for my birthday and I am SO happy I found and used this company. I had a question after reading the info on the website and the man who answered the phone answered everything for me and was so kind. I reserved it beginning at 8:30pm and the driver called and said he was up the street waiting for us at 8pm but since he was early didn’t mind waiting and just to text him when we were ready for him to pull up. From start to finish (4 hour) the driver was so accommodating and allowed us the ultimate turn up experience during each location we went to which added to everyone’s great night. The sprinter was also extremely clean and the sound system was everything. I will absolutely use again in the future! Also one of the best priced transportation services I found in the area! Thank you thank you thank you!!!

Kelly: Pricing good. Length of time standing in line to pick up a prepaid and pre-registered rental at DCA was at least 45 mins. Preferred line in garage was just as long. If I hadnt already prepaid for the car I would have gone to another rental counter. No inspection of car before I left although I did mine own because I wasnt about to leave if dents or scratches were on vehicle. Drop off was extremely easy. You just pull in, leave keys in car and leave. Had the pickup been easier I would have given a 5 star.

M D: Only one Avis worker who moves so slow with no motivation. Long line Avis commingled with Budget people. A total mess with people coughing etc. Avis sucks. To put people who have reservations into this zoo is the ultimate screw your customer experience.

Tia Washington: My return experience with Avis until I left the property was terrible. First, the agent I was working with to pick up the vehicle tried to add additional charges on my rental without my knowledge, she just told me to sign the screen. If it wasn’t for me reading through the document, I would have been charge for additional things I didn’t not agree to. Second, when I found my vehicle, it was filthy! It had not been vacuumed, there were gatorade bottles in the back seat, and the vehicle had not been washed. I spoke with an Avis attendant and they apologized. They found me another available vehicle. However, this vehicle was not as visibly filthy. When I opened the door, little bugs started climbing up the door and window. Due to the those two vehicles being the only ones available, I had to settle for one. I called and spoke with a representative who informed that I couldn’t make a complaint or request compensation until after I returned the call. The only reason Avis is receiving a two is because the attendant was trying to be accommodating with what they had available.

Steve M: Unhappy with surprise bill. Wasn’t aware of limited miles. I’ve rented for years and it’s always been unlimited miles. When did this change happen? Make it painfully obvious when I’m selecting the car. Not at the end. Watch out for Avis. I was hit with an extra $65 on my bill. Customer service had no sympathy or help.

Kevin McNear: Beware false gas charges at BWI AVIS. I had just filled up car prior to dropping off. The attendant told me I was good to go and said I would get my receipt via Email. When I saw the receipt 2 days later I was surprised to see $64 gas charge. If drop off attendant did not think the car was full this should have been mentioned on the spot. We could have corrected it.

Paleopppwo Hshhje: The line was long. I waited over 45 minutes. When I got to the counter I was told the rental car size I paid for was sold out and I would have to wait until a car comes available or take a car that did not accommodate my family size and luggage. I asked the agent how long the wait would be and she said she wasn’t sure. I then asked can I speak to a manger please. She then told me he was busy upstairs washing cars and he was too busy to come talk to me. She told me he would just tell me the same thing she did though. I was baffled at her response. She then told me about 10-15 minutes later here’s the letter and number of where the car is located. Go to the 2nd floor the key is in the car. No receipt no invoice and no inspection of the vehicle before I left the premises that was very strange!! There were bumps scratches and dings on the vehicle before I left Avis. I hope I don’t see an extra charge on my credit card statement. Upon return I was told the printer was down and they would email me-my receipt. I then insisted to speak to a manager because that sounded fishy to me. He then told me I could go to the preferred Avis booth and they could print one out for me. I’m thinking why didn’t the lady that scanned the vehicle back in the return system tell me that?? I would have canceled my reservation and booked with another rental car company had they not all been sold out. This was a very exhausting experience especially just getting off a flight with young children.

Michael Garcia: No better service around. Staff is exceptional. Corporate they need more cars. When my car went in for servicing they hooked me up .Mike the manager is awesome.

Jason Paravano: I’ve been sending my customers to this location for over a year and the service and rates have been great. Now they bring in new staff and I’m a stranger and they are trying to charge us $189 a day for a small SUV.

Marti Harris-Clark: The staff at Fort Washington my favorite. Unfortunately they could not pick me up from my home but offered to pay for my Lyft ( not sure they did). The car had a very bad smell like a animal was in it ( talk to the staff about it) they told me they would reimburse me. Not sure they did. I sprayed that car everyday, when I returned it, the staff said the car smelled great!! But overall thank you Fort Washington Enterprize for your services

Cinnamon Tucker: Very helpful staff and incredibly friendly. I recieved exactly the car that I needed while my car was in the shop... and when I needed extra time past the expected timeframes, they were able to easily accommodate on a daily basis by allowing me to keep the same vehicle. They were also incredibly helpful with the dropoff of the vehicle. They also truly do pick up and drop off!

Ciera Reid: Customer service is everything and this branch has exemplary service. The assistant manager, Rashad, is very knowledgeable, respectful, and helpful! I will continue referring customers here.

K Jay: My experience today: When you are not a “core customer”, and the car is not guaranteed to return to their location, the treatment is that you are given the least-of-the-fleet. I was in need of exchanging a rental and the only open location was at the airport. The reservation line was great and happy to arrange the exchange. When I conveyed to the representative at the airport location that the reservation exchange was for a standard sized vehicle, she made sure to let me know I could not be accommodated because that would be taking away from their core customers and especially when the vehicle is not guaranteed to return to the location. WOW! Everything ended with her saying “take care” as she was walking away. Unbelievable. One star is really too much.

Sasha Vliet: I rent vehicles all over the world and interact with staff in these locations on a regular basis. This gives me a unique and precise sense of what staff contend with on a day to day basis, especially in during these pandemic days. Jennifer, and the rest of the staff at Enterprise Exotics at Reagan International were accommodating, kind and attentive. It was a seamless process from booking through delivery at return and I would be happy to book with Jen any time I am in that neck of the woods. Well done, Team!

Cara Pitchford: The car was in perfect condition! We were invited to the new express delivery which made pick up of the car seamless. The return was just as easy. I do recommend documenting all dings on a rental car before driving off with it. Our vehicle was inspected upon our return. I showed the attendant my photos of the car when we picked it up and everything was smooth. Thanks to Enterprise for a non-stressful and affordable rental!

Nicholas Lazurka: I have never had an easier experience with a car rental! The check in was fast and they didn’t push the extra add ons. Jim helped us and he was top notch. He asked us where we were traveling too and gave us some great recommendations! He even gave us a nice upgrade! I would highly recommend enterprise!

Jeremy Gregg: This was by far the quickest, easiest, and most efficient transaction with Enterprise I’ve ever had. The staff was at the Ronald Regan Airport was very courteous, friendly, and helpful. The pick up was quick and the return was so easy. In a time where customer service has seemed to fall by the wayside, this team was too notch. Hertz Car Rental - Falls Church - North Washington Street HLE: what do users think?

Sarah Smith: Beware of this Hertz location. There is a significant lack of quality control and customer service. They gave me a car with a tire pressure of 25 psi, which I noticed after 10 minutes of driving. The “check oil soon” warning was also displaying. After I went to a service center to get air in the tires, I went back to get a new car and the guy behind the counter started an argument with me and told me it was the weather that caused the tire pressure to be low and I would have been fine. No concern for my safety or the other people on the road. He then gave me another car and on the last day I drove it the tire pressure warning also came on that car and one of the tires did not even have a cap on it.

H. J.: Got there in time and found a very friendly and polite employee (Clemens) in the office. Everything was set. He took us through the backdoor right into the driveway of the garage and went to get the car. Even helped us with our luggage (up the stairs and to get it into the trunk). The car, a 2021 Hyundai Elantra, had just about 17000 mi, was very clean and just like you expect a good rental car. 3 1/2 weeks and about 3000 mi later (avg. of 53 (!!!!!) MPG) we returned the car and Clemens - as friendly as the first time - even took us to the METRO Station. If we visit the D.C. area next time (for Germany is not just around the corner) we will rent there again !

Mahlet Megra: I had the worst experience at this Hertz shop. They sent me a confirmation that they had a car available. I took an Uber ride more than 30 minutes to get there. When I got to the location, they didn’t have a car available. What made the experience so much worse is that the customer service agent didn’t apologize or explain or anything. He just said we don’t have a car available even though you got a confirmation. The most horrible experience. I had to take another Uber ride back home which was more than $30. Stay away!

Paul Forest: "Confirmed" a reservation and charged only to be told they were sold out a few hours later. Paid money and did not receive a service. Awful😡😡

Lone Miki: Don’t even try to go to this store.. i’ve made a reservation at 5pm and i called the store to follow up the status the person who answered the call ask for my name and time of the reservation. i gave it to him and he told me that there no car available. I mean why would you ask someone your name and pick up time if there were no cars available? The apps says there was available to be rent! Don’t go to this store! I repeat don’t go!

Andrea Kasey: Aliyah was amazing! She worked with me to find the vehicle that I needed. She was very accommodating with my pick up/drop off needs and made sure to get me in and out quickly because I was in a hurry. This location is farther from my house than other Hertz locations but I’ll definitely rent here again because of Aliyah’s great service. She really made me feel valued as a customer.

Ahmed Alqaysi: Poor customer service. You make an online reservation and when you show up they tell you that they don’t have cars.
