Psychiatric Institute of Washington: what do users think?

Andrea: Grateful for this place to exist. I came in as a walk in off the street because I needed help that minute. It was experience here that the vast majority of the staff went above and beyond in every way they could think of to make myself as a patient comfortable and cared for. The minute I walked into admissions I felt cared for and that I did not have to handle it alone any more. Shout out to Hazel for seeing what I needed and giving me her own water bottle when I had not had anything to eat or drink till I walked in. Margo who did my intake interview was so amazingly sympathetic to what I had been going through. It felt so good to be validated. Then I went up to unit 7 and met Gary who I would later see be a phenomenal caretaker for all my fellow patients on the unit. From keeping calm when someone displayed extreme behavior to joking and finding ways to give us a therapeutic experience. The taker for me was when my roommate had a panic attack and I asked for ice to help calm her. He could not give me the packs they had for safety reasons but he came up with a wonderful solution. Showing again that true passion and care for our wellbeing. Thank you all for the work you do everyday.
Response: Thank you for your kind words, Andrea! Shout-outs like this are so meaningful to our team and we will be sure to pass your comments along. Thank you again and take care!

Aliyah Boyce: I will never send my loved one to this facility ever again. Please do not send your loved ones here. Worst than prison. Staff is rude and disrespectful even management of the program. This place is terrible. Violates every protocol because they can get away with it. The state should shut this place down immediately! If I can rate 0 stars I would. This is a inhumane treatment center. PLEASE DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE!!!!
Response: Hi, Aliyah. Thank you for your feedback. We would appreciate the opportunity to speak with you further about your concerns. At your convenience, please provide us with your contact information by visiting http://www.psychinstitute.com/contact-us/. We hope to hear from you soon. Thank you again.

We Need Answers: This is the worst hospital facility ever, with providing patients with the wrong medication and diagnosis, had no idea clothes were needed my loved one has been there for 1 week and I was told due to COVID outside persons will not be permitted, in addition a complaint was filed with the medical director both Alexus Obeck and Autumn Carlson which both failed to respond in a timely manner to address concerns of miss diagnosis and re evaluation. My loved one who suffers from mental illness called from a cell phone from the facility, begging to be picked up to be treated elsewhere while you hear the verbal abuse deflected from staff members to patients. It has been 4 days with no response. The staff is negligent and displays unconstitutional acts regarding patients and their well-being. DONT SEND YOUR FRIENDS OR FAMILY HERE. DOCUMENT EVERYTHING, they contradict every word they say. We can't even trust the people appointed to care for persons with mental illness due to a lack of compassion for our community.

Kyrah Ford: Zero stars don’t recommend, this place was very unhelpful and mad things worst. Some of the male staff was just creeps and was doing inappropriate things! I highly encourage you to never send anyone to this hospital. worst experience ever!

Sandra Jacinto: If your loved one is admitted here, you won’t be able to communicate with them. My brother was admitted three days ago and I’ve yet to hear anything. In the times that I’ve called I’ve experienced the following: - straight to voicemail - operator says they don’t know the unit number and won’t be able to figure it out - being transferred to a dead end - person says they’ll take my number then immediately hangs up on me - first time I called they told me that his sister already called that morning. False. I’m his only sister and I never called before. I was successful in giving my name and number once and ANOTHER PATIENT CALLED ME BACK. They gave my number to the wrong patient. This is a psychiatric institute. You’d think they’d be careful with who they give messages to for obvious reasons. Clearly they didn’t vet if that patient knows me. I know that there are some good staff members there but the majority of them don’t care and shouldn’t be in this job. There are horror stories about this place how they let patients freely walk around and get in fights. It’s scary that he’s in there and can’t be reached. I don’t trust this place at all.
Response: Hi, Sandra. Thank you for reaching out to us. We would like to take the opportunity to address your concerns with you directly. At your convenience, please provide us with your contact information by visiting http://www.psychinstitute.com/contact-us/ so that we can follow up with you. Thank you again and we hope to hear from you soon.

Mason Mailloux: If I could rate this institution 0 stars I would. Some of the staff are genuine good people but about 80% of them don’t seem to care at all about the “patients” when it’s really just a scam for insurance and Medicaid. There is no security however there are physical fights every day. They hardly feed you and when they do it’s worse than jail food, The group therapy is a joke 45min out of the 24 sleepless hours in a day. No one in their right mind would ever want to get admitted here.
Response: Hi, Mason. Thank you for your feedback. We would appreciate the opportunity to speak with you further about your concerns. At your convenience, please provide us with your contact information by visiting http://www.psychinstitute.com/contact-us/. We hope to hear from you soon. Thank you again.

Jessica Fullington: If you or a loved one is struggling with addiction and/or mental health, this is an EXCELLENT place to receive help. The staff is truly exceptional and very compassionate! I was in TERRIBLE condition when I was brought to the facility. The expert level care that I received made it possible for me to return to my normal life in just one week. They even made sure that I had a solid plan to continue my care once I was discharged. I would urge ANYONE who is looking for this type of assistance to go to this wonderful place. Hopefully, I will never need them again. God bless
Response: Thank you for your thoughtful comments, Jessica! We are so glad that you found our staff to be supportive and friendly. We appreciate the kind words and we hope you are doing well!

Kaden Burchett: if i need a psych hospitalization again, i'm specifically requesting NOT to go here. the staff either didn't notice or didn't care that i didn't eat anything for the four days i was there. another patient (who i believe to have been developmentally disabled) frequently entered other patient rooms and even went through my belongings, and the staff responded to these incidents by yelling at him; they never took any actions to prevent him from doing these things. there were bugs in my room and it was never investigated when i told the staff; i was simply labeled as psychotic. there were no groups, no therapy (or even a therapist as far as i'm aware), nothing to pass the time besides a tv that didn't work for half the time i was there. it was impossible for my fiancé to contact me while i was there. frankly, if this place is your only option, you might just be better off not going. i will likely be filing a complaint with the district against this place because of my experiences there.

Cam N: This place needs to be shut down immediately, no care or respect for patients. Disregard for health and sanity. Food is terrible, showers are ice cold. Employees force religious beliefs. Not profesional what so ever
Response: Hi, Cam. Thank you for your feedback. We would appreciate the opportunity to speak with you further about your concerns. At your convenience, please provide us with your contact information by visiting https://reptn.io/BwAfZ1AaQfA. We hope to hear from you soon. Thank you again.

Mary Moaney: If I could give this place zero stars I absolutely would staff does not communicate with parents of children patients. Patients are fighting no security no control no organization etc. My daughter had a panic attack and no one found her. No organization with medications etc. Absolutely worst place to send your children. If you actually care about your children do NOT send them here.
Response: Hi, Mary. Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us with your concerns. We take your comments very seriously and would like to learn more about your concerns. Due to federal patient privacy laws, we can only discuss care with a patient or guardian; however, we encourage you to reach out to us directly by visiting http://www.psychinstitute.com/contact-us/. Again, thank you.

National Disability Rights Network (NDRN): what do users think?

Harris: IMHO, THIS ORGANIZATION DEPRIVES THE MOST SEVERELY INTELLECTUALLY DISABLED OF THEIR RIGHTS IN FAVOR OF HIGHER FUNCTIONING PERSONS. INSTEAD OF PROTECTING THE VERY VULNERABLE, THEY BRING UP FRIVOLOUS LAW SUITS THAT VERY OFTEN HAVE NO MERIT, AND BRING GREAT HARM OR HIGH RISK OF HARM TO THE PROFOUNDLY DISABLED.

Anya PH: It's a great place! Good national and international conferences and trainings, provides services to lawyers and advocates for an often disenfranchised part of society. I've volunteered for one of their annual meetings. Hard-working and conscientious Deputy Executive Director for Legal Services and General Counsel (disclaimer: I'm related to this person and have direct experience about the 13-hour days he works, sometimes even on weekends).

Tim Guilford: Fantastic organization dedicated to enabling people with disabilities.

D.C. Department on Disability Services: what do users think?

Victor Salcedo: Overpromises I will tell you they speak a good game but help yeah they will not help you. To be honest, they will take your information like tax documents shred the paperwork to use you as a statistic to get more funding by the government. Do not waste your time and if they ask for your taxes and paperwork do not give it to them you will not see it ever again. Told them to close my case because all mouth and zero action so what's the point of having a program for people with disabilities. TBH they do not GAF about you, to them your a statistic just another number.

Lakina S. Edwards: Great service overall! It’s best to have an appointment beforehand. Every employee was polite, friendly and eager to assist and provide me services. In addition to receiving the best services from my assigned Caseworker, Mrs. Trunk, I feel confident- more than ever! - with the missions and goals that she has encouraged & inspired me to accomplish. Thank you, DDS for providing me great services!

Deaf HustleBTC: They are so unprofessional in ways of supporting people with disabilities to obtain jobs. They provide very little resources no matter how many times I have tried to work with them. I can now see why this department on disability is failing so many of us to be able to lead a quality lifestyle and be part of a work force.

Elizabeth Shokunbi: I thought I was the only one experiencing issues with this department. They don't return calls then they have no plan in place as to help. Plus they keep calling us to come back to their office. I'm really frustrated with them and about to file a lawsuit against the department. Such a bunch of incompetence. They need to let the mayor know if their caseload is such that they cannot return calls/emails within 24 to 48hours also.

Chandra Metts: This is the worst government agency I have ever dealt with. The caseworkers does not answer or return your calls for weeks at a time. Very unprofessional. The absolute worss

R.Titilope Odejimi: Trainings are usually very productive but, when the training exceeds a certain hours, there should at least be some form of refreshments.... At least water.

G. Anthony Sims: Poor actuate service for person with Disability, Experience took (3) test , one conselor talk placement, she relocated, the End. Nothing therefore waste 8 months, I mean nothing.

Ronald Henderson: Stil waiting on my case worker to call me back its been week . Have. Anyone have anything ggoo to say about this place. No one is answering the phones.

Courtney Sneed: The Service be better for people with Disability need more effort and more and do more better and it’s helpful

Graciel Moya: I don’t recommend this service at all! I’ve been there and yet they don’t help at all. I rather not go there again

Hopewell House For Independent Living: what do users think?

Stephanie Goodwin: All Good Reviews are written by the management team to boost ratings!! This is a terrible place to work and the individuals that participate in the be program do not get any help.I’ve worked in Mental Health for over 25 years with Fairfax county government and the States of New York and Georgia. The program vision is good, but their is no one who really cares about the people to carry the vision out. The management team and Linda us just interested in the money. A true rip off and Virginia Medicaid should investigate this so call program!!!

Jordan S: Bad management and they allow clients to do whatever they want, including bringing illegal substances on to the premises. A poor example of a treatment care residential home. Therapeutic interventions and ethics are non-existent, they just care about money.

Stephanie Goodwin: Management does not believe in diversity. And the price is way too high for staff to be just sitting there babysitting!!

Jim Tedone: Located on a historic horse farm in Fairfax, Hopewell House provides group home housing for persons suffering from mental illness diagnoses. Employees give all of themselves on a daily basis to provide the best care possible. I have never seen a group of people more committed to the mental health community. Hopewell is a small non-profit organization that has the ability to give their residents constant attention to help guide them on their journey. Hopewell is truly a special place.

Morgan McCulley: Hopewell House is a wonderful environment for individuals living with severe mental illnesses. With a focus on person centered treatment planning in a cozy living environment, staff are able to spend quality time with the residents to achieve their goals. Hopewell House staff care about the well-being of the residents and go above and beyond to ensure they receive the best care.

Jeff Holota: This place really helped out my family member! There aren’t many places that are this person centered in their approach. Highly recommend!!

Hannah Straton: Hopwell house promises more than they can deliver. Many staff were not properly trained. Outrageously expensive for seemingly no reason. 0/10 Would not recommend to anyone.

Donnell Emerson: Great place for loved ones dealing with mental health issues.

Mylea Biggiani: Programs are highly personalized to help the individual and staff members are caring, compassionate, and supportive.

Stephanie Goodwin: Management does not have management skills

Melwood: what do users think?

Sonny Ink.: Definitely will not recommend they dont treat disable people well...very unprofessional and untrained staff members

Jaguar_44 Marsh: Do Not waste your time with this organization. I am military vet with a Bachelors degree this corporation likes to fabricate the truth and does not conduct business in a professional manner. They also cancel your interviews after being selected to be interviewed so they can hire their friends and does not contact applicants back with sufficient information explaining why they cancelled your interview. Please do not waste anytime or energy applying for this organization. I'm writing this as the current HR manager for the Treasury Department.

DmV Og: They are a good non-profit company that helps you to get a job

Kevin Cole: I used to work for this organization and I got to see first hand how the people who works here treat individuals with differing abilities, and it's awful to say the least, working out of the temple Hills satellite site was an eye opener. The staff was unprofessional, staff would have sexual relations with one another, have the individuals buy them lunch and just basically take advantage of the individuals there, management is just as worst they don't care about individuals they only care about there salaries. If you have a family member with differing abilities that's seeking vocational and job readiness services etc., please go to another organization as Melwood have a hidden agenda that likely involves not helping a person with differing abilities succeed. Other organizations out there do in-fact do better and more resonating and meaningful work.

Hilda Jackson: This is the worst non profit in the DMV. Employees have sex with one another as well as clients daily. Management and direct workers don't collaborate at all so communication is horrible. Clients are taken advantage of daily. This place only cares about profit and not clients wellbeing, this is just an awful awful business, not to mention the temple hills md satellite site is just plan unorganized and needs to be shut down immediately.

Paige Crouch: My name is Paige Crouch I am a quadriplegic and I paint with my mouth. I am with the Mouth & Foot Painting Artists. I am writing because I have tried on three different occasions to voluntarily do a painting demonstration for the persons with disabilities at Melwood. I have transportation to achieve this. I reluctantly give them one star. I have not heard from Melwood. I was appalled at the other reviews. Why hasn't this place been shut down. Sexual abuse is illegal!!

Paulette Jackson: My home office is the most.

Ricardo Stewart: I think Mellwood is a very very nice place to work you should take your children if they have disabilities there I recommend it with most respect not because I work there but behind the work that they do to the community and how they Inspire other young people to do and to get along in life as much as possible

Malik Robinson: Human Resources Specialist Amber Pace and Matt Benjamin don't know how to work with people who have disabilities. Manipulatiors! Don't work for this company, they don't care about anybody's well-being.

Dustin Sears: Staff here is terrible. Do not work for this place. Took a month to get 2nd paycheck. Lazy individuals who have no business working with special needs adults.

James Cartee: Please know this – if you seek advocacy efforts to assist with accommodations, DO NOT waste your time with this group. They will pretend to care but then do nothing to help you! I pursued advice for a third party with no results to show for it. For those who monetarily donate to this group, consider a more worthwhile organization who focuses on real work and not just a fancy image.

Mindoula Health: what do users think?

Marissa Hart: Scam alert!!! I wish I could give negative stars. The whole process was extremely confusing as well as the over whelming amount of attempted calls they tried to make with me. Mindoula intake manager called me 10 times in a week! Once I finally met with the care manager I was told I would be connected to a therapist on their team. I then received 3 calls from a care manager who was acting as a therapist (not a LEGAL therapist). I have spoke to my doctor to inform them and hope they won’t recommend any more individuals to this program. After I was discharged another care manager called me to see if I wanted to join services again. This business is giving me MLM vibes and I am happy I was not taken advantage of. Please read the reviews and go see an actual therapist. I connected myself to one and have received more help in the original call then I ever did with Mindoula. Do not trust these people!!

Yvonne Ross: I highly recommend I am strong well. They help my daughter in Kentucky. She is totally sober and has someone to call anytime she needs it. She loves this program. She has developed meaningful relationships with good people who care about her. She tried other programs nothing worked. Thank you Stongwell, I got my daughter back.

Barbara Newton: The team of professionals at Mindoula have helped me tremendously this year. I am sleeping well and no longer feel responsible for everybody. I am trying to pay more attention to my needs and am anxious to start exercising after I have my shoulder surgery next month. Thank you so much, Autumn1

Rachel Davis: DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. They’ve been dragging me along for two months… I finally thought I was going to speak with a therapist today. She didn’t even call me, I finally called her & she said “oh yeah” & then put me on hold for a few minutes. Then I was told they don’t offer therapy assistance. They can’t do anything to help you, you’re better off finding real help somewhere else.

Anthony Goodell: These doctors/therapist left me hanging for 2 weeks after being set up with them, just to be told my issues where just out of their expertise, and I should look into hospitalization. If these doctors can’t help somebody with a simple mood disorder then they aren’t much help. This experience with Mindoula was a complete waste of my time. Thank you Mindoula for absolutely nothing

Elder Ellis: 3 different case managers before first appointment was set. They stated they were contracted by the State. Not! The first appointment after 3 verifications they did not even keep. Not a word since... JUNK! AVOID!

Claudia Thompson: I was referred to use Mindoula from my PCP. My Behavioral Health Manager was Raquel Wilson, and I can't thank her enough for guiding me to change my way of thinking and coping skills. In true honesty, I wasn't easy to deal with for the first few weeks. 🤣 But she remained patient and consistent. And I appreciate her for that, because we slowly broke down some walls and I was able to receive great tools to move forward. I have completed the program, and have a new understanding of what it means to put my myself first. Thank you Mindoula!

Marcus King: Such a joke. This place does not provide anything of value. My doctor referred me to them only to find out that care managers which they said are “therapists” are not licensed counselors or social workers. Providing fake services to those who really need help. Just want to bill your insurance. Disgusting. Stay far away
Response: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are very disappointed to learn that your experience was not a positive one as we value our interactions with each and every patient and strive to deliver the best possible care. Based on your feedback, we will ensure our team better explains that the services delivered in the Collaborative Care Program are care management services including brief therapeutic interventions. Our team consists of Masters level behavioral health professionals trained in the Collaborative Care Model (a model developed out of the AIMS Center at the University of Washington). Our approach contributes to better access to behavioral health services and is one of the most evidenced based approaches available with more than 90 randomized trials demonstrating its effectiveness. Again, we truly appreciate your feedback, and will use it to continue to improve our service.

Da Schnitz: I have been a client of Mindoula for over a year. I was at my lowest and most stressed when my PCP doc introduced me to the program. I had been in therapy and self help programs before and the process was not foreign to me. I started with managed expectations but it was covered by insurance and they communicated with my doc at every stage. My counselor, Yasmin Stevens, was just the perfect understanding and helpful voice on the other end of the phone that I needed. Her help with evaluating my options, her patient and compassionate persona in tandem with the medication recommendations made by the supervising psychiatrist to my doctor turned out to really help tweak my perspective and approach to challenges. My wife is permanently disabled and faces many of her own daily challenges. As her husband and caregiver, I need to stay emotionally and physically strong so I can help her. My work with MINDOULA has helped me regain my emotional health. It worked! Thank you Yasmin….and MINDOULA.

Tudy Bowman: I just got scammed by Mindoula. When I started asking questions, got more lies. Tell the Dr. or whoever reccomeded this program to you about this acam and call yoir insurance company notify me
Response: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are very disappointed to learn that your experience was not a positive one. We strive to be transparent in discussing how our program works and are always open to hearing feedback as we are committed to continuing to provide high quality care to our patients. Please call us directly to continue to work through your specific concerns. Thank you again for your feedback.

Elder & Disability Law Center: what do users think?

Joseph Howard: Consulted with Mr. Bullock regarding mental health issues for a family member, including guardianship. He did some research on my particular circumstances. Since he knew I was anxious, he called me back in the evening from his home. Very knowledgeable, very helpful. Seemed like he really cared about the situation I was going through. I would recommend Mr. Bullock and his firm to anyone.

Quanita Pokolo-Hassell: My consultation with Mr. Bullock was extremely helpful. He has a genuine desire to help and our initial meeting was not rush. He spent a considerable amount of time with me answering my many, many questions. Navigating benefits for my elderly father is a nightmare and it is so comforting to speak with someone who is very knowledgeable and knows exactly what my concerns are and is able to provide me with expert advice. I've already made headway with my fathers benefits only a week after meeting with Mr. Bullock. He's so awesome!

Katrina Johnson: I highly recommend Mr. Bullock because he is very knowledgeable with a great personality. During our meeting regarding care for my mother, I took three pages of notes full of the most helpful information received to date. He put me at ease and helped me create a plan. My sister and I are on our way to ensuring our mother is well cared for and has the best quality of life. I will definitely reach out to him again!

James Alford: Mr. Bullock is a compassionate and knowledgeable attorney. His expertise in the area of elder law is truly unrivaled. I worked with Mr. Bullock on a complex estate litigation which comprised three separate lawsuits in as many jurisdictions. Mr. Bullock and his team were able to respond swiftly to the needs of each case and consistently demonstrated extensive knowledge about the details of my case. I highly recommend him and would certainly work with him again.

Horacio Chacon: Attorney Bullock is the type of lawyer every client wants. His skill and hard work is outstanding and his customer service is outstanding. Mr. Bullock assisted my wife and brother in law to settle their parent's estate. He did a great job. I highly recommend Mr. Bullock.

Laura G: I called Mr. Bullock for advice for my mother and he was very personable and helpful in guiding me to my next steps in the planning process for my mother. He assisted me with ensuring that I had all the proper legal documents that she would need. And he referred me to a fabulous elder care consultant who was able to work with me regarding my mother's care. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing guidance regarding the care for their elderly loved one.

Debbie Wallach: Mr. Robert Bullock provided me with excellent legal and financial counseling and solutions to resolve my challenges related to estate planning, disability and financial negotiations. Mr. Bullock has extensive knowledge on both public and private resources to assist in overcoming challenges in these areas and developed an easy to follow step- by-step strategy for solutions. Mr. Bullock's legal and financial strategies for solutions reduced my concerns in light of difficult circumstances. I highly recommend Mr. Bullock’s legal and financial counseling to anyone needing help in financial estate planning and disability issues.

Adam Gleason: Mr. Bullock has been a great resource for my family and I. We recently experienced both medical malpractice and insurance issues. It helped our peace of mind knowing we had Mr. Bullock and his practice in our corner.

James Harvey: Speaking with Mr. Bullock was refreshing, honest and to the point, I was impressed with his knowledge and willingness to speak with me even thought he was running a little late for the all important dinner with the wife. Mr Bullock explained things so clearly and I honestly appreciate him and look forward to working with him in the near future.

peter K: Robert Bullock Esq. came highly recommended and over time, I appreciate his professionalism and his wit.

Amen Clinics: what do users think?

Leslie Strowbridge: Was probably too confident that the Amen Clinic would be able to help us with my son’s extremely challenging mental health but we were at our breaking point as parents watch our son deteriorate into his own world. Though the financial part would be difficult for us to manage we felt it would be worth anything to get him better. Whatever it takes. We made the trip. Spent two sleepless nights while monitoring & helping our son manage the testing. They were kind & professional. Can’t describe the disappointment & heartbreak we felt when clinic told us they could not help with our son. Imagine the disbelief, anger & frustration when refused any reimbursement. That’s right. Thousands of dollars flushed down the toilet. I feel the services are valid & make sense in theory. Just know that it’s like a roulette table with your money. A TOTAL GAMBLE!
Response: Hello Leslie, thank you for sharing your thoughts about your experience at Amen Clinics. For patients who travel from out of state and see a doctor not licensed in the state where they live, we typically act as a consultant, offering treatment plans, and recommendations. We don’t guarantee that we can oversee treatment, including prescribing medicines. We discuss this with our patients before scheduling. We are sorry to hear of your son's continued struggles. Our doctors are available to consult with any provider you bring into your treatment team. We would be happy to set up a meeting with a new doctor from your area and our physicians to explain our findings and recommendations.

Cathylynn Lynch: My experience went really well until I went to Hawaii my credit card was compromised five hours difference in time the week before I came home Hawaii and Delaware which I do not do well with the time change did not realize that my credit card was associated with the amen clinic they canceled my appointment and still charge me the $200; if u do not pay them w/ in a hour before your appointment they cancel u ; now I’m on the phone upset @9 in the morning which I’m not good w/ early in morning ; to find out ready for my appointment; & can’t talk to my Dr.; because I was not prepaid, so now I’m so upset because morally $200. For a 1/2 hour appointment, & suppose I really needed to talk to Dr.; & then had to wait almost 3 months for another appointment
Response: Hello Cathylynn, thank you for your thoughts about your experience at Amen Clinics. We certainly don't mean for our process to cause any inconvenience and we appreciate your patience. Please contact us with any further questions.

mary couch: I have been referred to this clinic from one in Atlanta because of the Interactive Metronome therapist, Mary Schlesinger. This treatment is so beneficial for my Adult ADHD and trauma symptoms. Without Dr. Amen’s understanding of the cerebellum and without the use of the brain scan I wouldn’t have the newly found balance in walking and on the stairs, better posture, and much better control of what I say and my movements. I can’t recommend Mary highly Enough! She is an incredibly patient and thorough therapist. This treatment is far better than talk therapy or even EMDR for my specific issues with talking too much, impulsivity and overall lack of coordination and balance. It is to my understanding that Interactive Metronome therapy is also helpful for autism and also for folks that have had a stroke or have Parkinson’s disease..I am so grateful to the Amen clinic and to their IM therapist. This is very important and ground backing work for my trauma symptoms and again impulsivity. I hope this review can help somebody else get the help they need with: focus ,coordination, and control! 🙏
Response: Hello Mary, we can’t thank you enough for the kind words about Mary Schlesinger and our Interactive Metronome Training services. Your review means a lot to us and lets us know we’re on the right track!

Jon S: I was very unhappy with my treatment, They didn't really do anything. They said I need to be on some supplements and that's really it,too expensive had to stay in a hotel for 2 days and it's not worth it at all. They followed up a couple times and didn't have any suggestions except go to the hospital.
Response: Hello Jon S, thank you for sharing your thoughts about your experience at Amen Clinics. We’d like to discuss the recommendations and treatments you received at Amen Clinics San Francisco. We value the feedback of our patients and we'd be happy to connect with you. Please contact the Clinic Director at 650-416-7830.

Patricia Janitz: Our experience with Amen Clinics was very positive. Dr. Jordanby is kind, caring and respectful. She did a wonderful job explaining the scans and going over our family's brain scans and individual treatment plans. I also appreciate the educational material about the brain regions in our folders. It is a helpful resource that enables us to learn more about healing and preserving our brain health. It's not enough to be willing to work hard to improve your health. We must also know we are working in the right direction. I feel confident that Amen Clinic has helped us find the right path to wellness. I would highly recommend Amen Clinic to everyone.

Sarah F.: I paid a lot of money for there services with high hopes Amen clinic would be able to help my husband with depression and anxiety. Unfortunately This was a complete waste of money and time! All they did was recommend expensive supplements which they sold and only gave my husband headaches not relief from depression and anxiety! Extremely disappointed as I have loved Dr. Amen's books and thought his clinics would help! Sadly, I would not recommend Amen Clinics!
Response: We are sorry to hear that your experience with Amen Clinics didn’t meet your expectations. We are eager to hear more from you. Please contact us at amenpatientcare@amenclinic.com so that we can discuss things further and hopefully get your care on track.

judy trenta: Every person with whom I have interacted has been professional and most pleasant which makes for lasting positive first impressions. The structure and organization of each appointment, in home testing, purchasing of supplements and reading materials are well planned and the follow through is amazing. All telephone questions and issues are resolved immediately. I have just begun my interaction with the Amen Clinic in Reston, VA and already have begun an unbelievable journey filled with hope for my future well-being. I am fortunate to have found them and look forward to the amazing results which I will achieve with their help.

Eugene Peter Wittkoff: Well worth the investment. I received a holistic treatment plan some years ago which I still use today. (I had exposure to a blast while in the Service which compounded previous head injuries). Their scans were illuminating (especially the second scan a year later showing improvement), and their treatment recommendation work well for me to this day.

Stef Keen: The cost is completely ridiculous it is a rip off period. I would not recommend this at all. The amount of money for what you get is beyond sad.
Response: Hello Stef Keen, thank you for sharing your thoughts about your experience at Amen Clinics. We are eager to hear more from you. Please contact our Clinic Director at 703-880-4022 so that we can discuss things further.

Ross Lugasi: Everything from the intake to the actual scans was seamless and stress free. The office is very relaxed with incredibly friendly staff. The Doctors have some of the best patient care I have ever experienced in the Mental Health field. You will not regret going if you have the means, especially considering this is one of the only psychiatric clinics that looks at the organ they are diagnosing. Thank you for everything you guys have done for me.
