Psychiatric Institute of Washington: what do users think?
Andrea
Andrea: Grateful for this place to exist. I came in as a walk in off the street because I needed help that minute. It was experience here that the vast majority of the staff went above and beyond in every way they could think of to make myself as a patient comfortable and cared for. The minute I walked into admissions I felt cared for and that I did not have to handle it alone any more. Shout out to Hazel for seeing what I needed and giving me her own water bottle when I had not had anything to eat or drink till I walked in. Margo who did my intake interview was so amazingly sympathetic to what I had been going through. It felt so good to be validated. Then I went up to unit 7 and met Gary who I would later see be a phenomenal caretaker for all my fellow patients on the unit. From keeping calm when someone displayed extreme behavior to joking and finding ways to give us a therapeutic experience. The taker for me was when my roommate had a panic attack and I asked for ice to help calm her. He could not give me the packs they had for safety reasons but he came up with a wonderful solution. Showing again that true passion and care for our wellbeing. Thank you all for the work you do everyday.
Response: Thank you for your kind words, Andrea! Shout-outs like this are so meaningful to our team and we will be sure to pass your comments along. Thank you again and take care!
Aliyah Boyce
Aliyah Boyce: I will never send my loved one to this facility ever again. Please do not send your loved ones here. Worst than prison. Staff is rude and disrespectful even management of the program. This place is terrible. Violates every protocol because they can get away with it. The state should shut this place down immediately! If I can rate 0 stars I would. This is a inhumane treatment center. PLEASE DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE!!!!
Response: Hi, Aliyah. Thank you for your feedback. We would appreciate the opportunity to speak with you further about your concerns. At your convenience, please provide us with your contact information by visiting http://www.psychinstitute.com/contact-us/. We hope to hear from you soon. Thank you again.
Kyrah Ford
Kyrah Ford: Zero stars don’t recommend, this place was very unhelpful and mad things worst. Some of the male staff was just creeps and was doing inappropriate things! I highly encourage you to never send anyone to this hospital. worst experience ever!
Sandra Jacinto
Sandra Jacinto: If your loved one is admitted here, you won’t be able to communicate with them. My brother was admitted three days ago and I’ve yet to hear anything. In the times that I’ve called I’ve experienced the following: - straight to voicemail - operator says they don’t know the unit number and won’t be able to figure it out - being transferred to a dead end - person says they’ll take my number then immediately hangs up on me - first time I called they told me that his sister already called that morning. False. I’m his only sister and I never called before. I was successful in giving my name and number once and ANOTHER PATIENT CALLED ME BACK. They gave my number to the wrong patient. This is a psychiatric institute. You’d think they’d be careful with who they give messages to for obvious reasons. Clearly they didn’t vet if that patient knows me. I know that there are some good staff members there but the majority of them don’t care and shouldn’t be in this job. There are horror stories about this place how they let patients freely walk around and get in fights. It’s scary that he’s in there and can’t be reached. I don’t trust this place at all.
Response: Hi, Sandra. Thank you for reaching out to us. We would like to take the opportunity to address your concerns with you directly. At your convenience, please provide us with your contact information by visiting http://www.psychinstitute.com/contact-us/ so that we can follow up with you. Thank you again and we hope to hear from you soon.
Mason Mailloux
Mason Mailloux: If I could rate this institution 0 stars I would. Some of the staff are genuine good people but about 80% of them don’t seem to care at all about the “patients” when it’s really just a scam for insurance and Medicaid. There is no security however there are physical fights every day. They hardly feed you and when they do it’s worse than jail food, The group therapy is a joke 45min out of the 24 sleepless hours in a day. No one in their right mind would ever want to get admitted here.
Response: Hi, Mason. Thank you for your feedback. We would appreciate the opportunity to speak with you further about your concerns. At your convenience, please provide us with your contact information by visiting http://www.psychinstitute.com/contact-us/. We hope to hear from you soon. Thank you again.
Jessica Fullington
Jessica Fullington: If you or a loved one is struggling with addiction and/or mental health, this is an EXCELLENT place to receive help. The staff is truly exceptional and very compassionate! I was in TERRIBLE condition when I was brought to the facility. The expert level care that I received made it possible for me to return to my normal life in just one week. They even made sure that I had a solid plan to continue my care once I was discharged. I would urge ANYONE who is looking for this type of assistance to go to this wonderful place. Hopefully, I will never need them again. God bless
Response: Thank you for your thoughtful comments, Jessica! We are so glad that you found our staff to be supportive and friendly. We appreciate the kind words and we hope you are doing well!
Cam N
Cam N: This place needs to be shut down immediately, no care or respect for patients. Disregard for health and sanity. Food is terrible, showers are ice cold. Employees force religious beliefs. Not profesional what so ever
Response: Hi, Cam. Thank you for your feedback. We would appreciate the opportunity to speak with you further about your concerns. At your convenience, please provide us with your contact information by visiting https://reptn.io/BwAfZ1AaQfA. We hope to hear from you soon. Thank you again.
Mary Moaney
Mary Moaney: If I could give this place zero stars I absolutely would staff does not communicate with parents of children patients. Patients are fighting no security no control no organization etc. My daughter had a panic attack and no one found her. No organization with medications etc. Absolutely worst place to send your children. If you actually care about your children do NOT send them here.
Response: Hi, Mary. Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us with your concerns. We take your comments very seriously and would like to learn more about your concerns. Due to federal patient privacy laws, we can only discuss care with a patient or guardian; however, we encourage you to reach out to us directly by visiting http://www.psychinstitute.com/contact-us/. INSTEAD OF PROTECTING THE VERY VULNERABLE, THEY BRING UP FRIVOLOUS LAW SUITS THAT VERY OFTEN HAVE NO MERIT, AND BRING GREAT HARM OR HIGH RISK OF HARM TO THE PROFOUNDLY DISABLED.

Lakina S. Edwards
Lakina S. Edwards: Great service overall! It’s best to have an appointment beforehand. Every employee was polite, friendly and eager to assist and provide me services. In addition to receiving the best services from my assigned Caseworker, Mrs. Trunk, I feel confident- more than ever! - with the missions and goals that she has encouraged & inspired me to accomplish. Thank you, DDS for providing me great services!
Deaf HustleBTC
Deaf HustleBTC: They are so unprofessional in ways of supporting people with disabilities to obtain jobs. They provide very little resources no matter how many times I have tried to work with them. I can now see why this department on disability is failing so many of us to be able to lead a quality lifestyle and be part of a work force.
Chandra Metts
Chandra Metts: This is the worst government agency I have ever dealt with. The caseworkers does not answer or return your calls for weeks at a time. Very unprofessional. The absolute worss

Hopewell House For Independent Living: what do users think?
Stephanie Goodwin
Stephanie Goodwin: All Good Reviews are written by the management team to boost ratings!! This is a terrible place to work and the individuals that participate in the be program do not get any help.I’ve worked in Mental Health for over 25 years with Fairfax county government and the States of New York and Georgia. The program vision is good, but their is no one who really cares about the people to carry the vision out. The management team and Linda us just interested in the money. A true rip off and Virginia Medicaid should investigate this so call program!!!
Jordan S
Jordan S: Bad management and they allow clients to do whatever they want, including bringing illegal substances on to the premises. A poor example of a treatment care residential home. Therapeutic interventions and ethics are non-existent, they just care about money.
Stephanie Goodwin
Stephanie Goodwin: Management does not believe in diversity. And the price is way too high for staff to be just sitting there babysitting!!
Jim Tedone
Jim Tedone: Located on a historic horse farm in Fairfax, Hopewell House provides group home housing for persons suffering from mental illness diagnoses. Employees give all of themselves on a daily basis to provide the best care possible. I have never seen a group of people more committed to the mental health community. Hopewell is a small non-profit organization that has the ability to give their residents constant attention to help guide them on their journey. Hopewell is truly a special place.
Morgan McCulley
Morgan McCulley: Hopewell House is a wonderful environment for individuals living with severe mental illnesses. With a focus on person centered treatment planning in a cozy living environment, staff are able to spend quality time with the residents to achieve their goals. Hopewell House staff care about the well-being of the residents and go above and beyond to ensure they receive the best care.
Jeff Holota
Jeff Holota: This place really helped out my family member! There aren’t many places that are this person centered in their approach. Highly recommend!!
Hannah Straton
Hannah Straton: Hopwell house promises more than they can deliver. Many staff were not properly trained. Outrageously expensive for seemingly no reason. 0/10 Would not recommend to anyone.
Donnell Emerson
Donnell Emerson: Great place for loved ones dealing with mental health issues.
Mylea Biggiani
Mylea Biggiani: Programs are highly personalized to help the individual and staff members are caring, compassionate, and supportive.

Mindoula Health: what do users think?
Marissa Hart
Marissa Hart: Scam alert!!! I wish I could give negative stars. The whole process was extremely confusing as well as the over whelming amount of attempted calls they tried to make with me. Mindoula intake manager called me 10 times in a week! Once I finally met with the care manager I was told I would be connected to a therapist on their team. I then received 3 calls from a care manager who was acting as a therapist (not a LEGAL therapist). I have spoke to my doctor to inform them and hope they won’t recommend any more individuals to this program. After I was discharged another care manager called me to see if I wanted to join services again. This business is giving me MLM vibes and I am happy I was not taken advantage of. Please read the reviews and go see an actual therapist. I connected myself to one and have received more help in the original call then I ever did with Mindoula. Do not trust these people!!
Yvonne Ross
Yvonne Ross: I highly recommend I am strong well. They help my daughter in Kentucky. She is totally sober and has someone to call anytime she needs it. She loves this program. She has developed meaningful relationships with good people who care about her. She tried other programs nothing worked. Thank you Stongwell, I got my daughter back.
Barbara Newton
Barbara Newton: The team of professionals at Mindoula have helped me tremendously this year. I am sleeping well and no longer feel responsible for everybody. I am trying to pay more attention to my needs and am anxious to start exercising after I have my shoulder surgery next month. Thank you so much, Autumn1
Rachel Davis
Rachel Davis: DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. They’ve been dragging me along for two months… I finally thought I was going to speak with a therapist today. She didn’t even call me, I finally called her & she said “oh yeah” & then put me on hold for a few minutes. Then I was told they don’t offer therapy assistance. They can’t do anything to help you, you’re better off finding real help somewhere else.
Anthony Goodell
Anthony Goodell: These doctors/therapist left me hanging for 2 weeks after being set up with them, just to be told my issues where just out of their expertise, and I should look into hospitalization. If these doctors can’t help somebody with a simple mood disorder then they aren’t much help. This experience with Mindoula was a complete waste of my time. Thank you Mindoula for absolutely nothing
Elder Ellis
Elder Ellis: 3 different case managers before first appointment was set. They stated they were contracted by the State. Not! The first appointment after 3 verifications they did not even keep. Not a word since... JUNK! AVOID!
Marcus King
Marcus King: Such a joke. This place does not provide anything of value. My doctor referred me to them only to find out that care managers which they said are “therapists” are not licensed counselors or social workers. Providing fake services to those who really need help. Just want to bill your insurance. Disgusting. Stay far away
Response: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are very disappointed to learn that your experience was not a positive one as we value our interactions with each and every patient and strive to deliver the best possible care. Based on your feedback, we will ensure our team better explains that the services delivered in the Collaborative Care Program are care management services including brief therapeutic interventions. Our team consists of Masters level behavioral health professionals trained in the Collaborative Care Model (a model developed out of the AIMS Center at the University of Washington). Our approach contributes to better access to behavioral health services and is one of the most evidenced based approaches available with more than 90 randomized trials demonstrating its effectiveness. Again, we truly appreciate your feedback, and will use it to continue to improve our service.
Da Schnitz
Da Schnitz: I have been a client of Mindoula for over a year. I was at my lowest and most stressed when my PCP doc introduced me to the program. I had been in therapy and self help programs before and the process was not foreign to me. I started with managed expectations but it was covered by insurance and they communicated with my doc at every stage. My counselor, Yasmin Stevens, was just the perfect understanding and helpful voice on the other end of the phone that I needed. Her help with evaluating my options, her patient and compassionate persona in tandem with the medication recommendations made by the supervising psychiatrist to my doctor turned out to really help tweak my perspective and approach to challenges. My wife is permanently disabled and faces many of her own daily challenges. As her husband and caregiver, I need to stay emotionally and physically strong so I can help her. My work with MINDOULA has helped me regain my emotional health. It worked! Thank you Yasmin….and MINDOULA.
Tudy Bowman
Tudy Bowman: I just got scammed by Mindoula. When I started asking questions, got more lies. Tell the Dr. or whoever reccomeded this program to you about this acam and call yoir insurance company notify me
Response: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are very disappointed to learn that your experience was not a positive one. We strive to be transparent in discussing how our program works and are always open to hearing feedback as we are committed to continuing to provide high quality care to our patients. Please call us directly to continue to work through your specific concerns. Thank you again for your feedback.

Joseph Howard: Consulted with Mr. Bullock regarding mental health issues for a family member, including guardianship. He did some research on my particular circumstances. Since he knew I was anxious, he called me back in the evening from his home. Very knowledgeable, very helpful. Seemed like he really cared about the situation I was going through. I would recommend Mr. Bullock and his firm to anyone.
Katrina Johnson
Katrina Johnson: I highly recommend Mr. Bullock because he is very knowledgeable with a great personality. During our meeting regarding care for my mother, I took three pages of notes full of the most helpful information received to date. He put me at ease and helped me create a plan. My sister and I are on our way to ensuring our mother is well cared for and has the best quality of life. I will definitely reach out to him again!
James Alford
James Alford: Mr. Bullock is a compassionate and knowledgeable attorney. His expertise in the area of elder law is truly unrivaled. I worked with Mr. Bullock on a complex estate litigation which comprised three separate lawsuits in as many jurisdictions. Mr. Bullock and his team were able to respond swiftly to the needs of each case and consistently demonstrated extensive knowledge about the details of my case. I highly recommend him and would certainly work with him again.

James Harvey
James Harvey: Speaking with Mr. Bullock was refreshing, honest and to the point, I was impressed with his knowledge and willingness to speak with me even thought he was running a little late for the all important dinner with the wife. Mr Bullock explained things so clearly and I honestly appreciate him and look forward to working with him in the near future.

Amen Clinics: what do users think?
Leslie Strowbridge
Leslie Strowbridge: Was probably too confident that the Amen Clinic would be able to help us with my son’s extremely challenging mental health but we were at our breaking point as parents watch our son deteriorate into his own world. Though the financial part would be difficult for us to manage we felt it would be worth anything to get him better. Whatever it takes. We made the trip. Spent two sleepless nights while monitoring & helping our son manage the testing. They were kind & professional. Can’t describe the disappointment & heartbreak we felt when clinic told us they could not help with our son. Imagine the disbelief, anger & frustration when refused any reimbursement. That’s right. Thousands of dollars flushed down the toilet. I feel the services are valid & make sense in theory. Just know that it’s like a roulette table with your money. A TOTAL GAMBLE!
Response: Hello Leslie, thank you for sharing your thoughts about your experience at Amen Clinics. For patients who travel from out of state and see a doctor not licensed in the state where they live, we typically act as a consultant, offering treatment plans, and recommendations. We don’t guarantee that we can oversee treatment, including prescribing medicines. We discuss this with our patients before scheduling. We are sorry to hear of your son's continued struggles. Our doctors are available to consult with any provider you bring into your treatment team. We would be happy to set up a meeting with a new doctor from your area and our physicians to explain our findings and recommendations.

mary couch
mary couch: I have been referred to this clinic from one in Atlanta because of the Interactive Metronome therapist, Mary Schlesinger. This treatment is so beneficial for my Adult ADHD and trauma symptoms. Without Dr. Amen’s understanding of the cerebellum and without the use of the brain scan I wouldn’t have the newly found balance in walking and on the stairs, better posture, and much better control of what I say and my movements. I can’t recommend Mary highly Enough! She is an incredibly patient and thorough therapist. This treatment is far better than talk therapy or even EMDR for my specific issues with talking too much, impulsivity and overall lack of coordination and balance. It is to my understanding that Interactive Metronome therapy is also helpful for autism and also for folks that have had a stroke or have Parkinson’s disease..I am so grateful to the Amen clinic and to their IM therapist. This is very important and ground backing work for my trauma symptoms and again impulsivity. I hope this review can help somebody else get the help they need with: focus ,coordination, and control! 🙏
Response: Hello Mary, we can’t thank you enough for the kind words about Mary Schlesinger and our Interactive Metronome Training services. Your review means a lot to us and lets us know we’re on the right track!

judy trenta: Every person with whom I have interacted has been professional and most pleasant which makes for lasting positive first impressions. The structure and organization of each appointment, in home testing, purchasing of supplements and reading materials are well planned and the follow through is amazing. All telephone questions and issues are resolved immediately. I have just begun my interaction with the Amen Clinic in Reston, VA and already have begun an unbelievable journey filled with hope for my future well-being. I am fortunate to have found them and look forward to the amazing results which I will achieve with their help.
Eugene Peter Wittkoff
Eugene Peter Wittkoff: Well worth the investment. I received a holistic treatment plan some years ago which I still use today. (I had exposure to a blast while in the Service which compounded previous head injuries). Their scans were illuminating (especially the second scan a year later showing improvement), and their treatment recommendation work well for me to this day.
Stef Keen
Stef Keen: The cost is completely ridiculous it is a rip off period. I would not recommend this at all. The amount of money for what you get is beyond sad.
Response: Hello Stef Keen, thank you for sharing your thoughts about your experience at Amen Clinics. We are eager to hear more from you. Please contact our Clinic Director at 703-880-4022 so that we can discuss things further.
Ross Lugasi
Ross Lugasi: Everything from the intake to the actual scans was seamless and stress free. The office is very relaxed with incredibly friendly staff. The Doctors have some of the best patient care I have ever experienced in the Mental Health field. You will not regret going if you have the means, especially considering this is one of the only psychiatric clinics that looks at the organ they are diagnosing. Thank you for everything you guys have done for me.
