Olivia R: I have used IQ cleaning multiple times, but ultimately decided to cancel due to a few incidents. The first incident was that they broke a picture frame above my bed. They did not call or leave me a note to notify me that the frame had been broken, but rather just left it for me to find. They did offer to replace the frame only after I reached out to them, but I got the frame a while ago and they were no longer being sold. The second incident was that they locked my cat in the closet for the entire day without water or his litter box. I understand that mistakes happen, but when someone not only marks that they have a pet, but also pays extra for that pet, I feel like a little more care could be helpful. I reached out to them and they did not offer to waive the pet fee for this cleaning. Their actual cleaning services are alright - not great, not terrible. There were definitely some spots that I had to touch up after they came. Their prices seem to be lower than many other cleaning companies which is why I didn’t really mind. Service: Standard cleaning

T. Tree: We have been using IQ cleaning for more than 4 years. We paused our services during COVID and picked up a few months ago. The rates increased and our cleanings were not thorough. We also experienced two mishaps. The first issue was taken care of and the second issue was not. While online booking is convenient, the cleaning consistency is an issue since you never deal with the same house cleaners. The quality of service is just not the same as prior years. Shivali Haribhakti: Hello, I used iQ cleaning a few weeks ago for a standard clean of my 2 bedroom 2 bathroom condo. I was disappointed with the service. They were not thorough, and left a lot of dirty spots on the toilet and the Bathtub. They also didn't put anything away in the kitchen or put it back to where it was originally. Morgan Scott: Cleaning was fine for my move in. The real issue is that they took my key home with them instead of returning it to the lock box. This was a major inconvenience as we did not have another key. We called within an hour of them leaving with no answer. We also texted. They returned the key the next day but we had to leave it unlocked for a long time. When we got home the door was locked but so was the outer door that we don’t have a key to. We had to call a locksmith to drill our door and waited 2 hours for over $200. This has been a major inconvenience and iq cleaning has ignored our request for a refund to rectify the issue. Baxter Yarl: Had to lower my rating and can no longer recommend this company. The service provided is generally pretty good, but please beware that they will raise prices on you unexpectedly. After having been a long term customer (9+ months) at a certain rate, we paused our service for a few months due to being high risk and the COVID-19 pandemic. Upon resuming our service last month, we were told that the same exact service/frequency, for the same exact home would be $50 more per service - an increase of more than 30%, which, for our family, is no longer feasible. Disappointing given that we had come to think of this as a trustworthy, go-to service provider and yet we were blindsided with a random price increase explained only as an adjustment made on their end. To clarify further - we had been customers for 5+ years and paid $107/cleaning when we lived in a condo. When we moved to a home that is 600 sq. ft bigger last year, our rate was increased to $141 (to further clarify, our new home is 600 sq. ft bigger but we do not include one of the bedrooms in the cleaning, so the actual increase in area is less than 600 sq. ft. but we found the rate increase to be reasonable, at the time). Upon resuming our services after pausing for Covid, we were told that our rate would be increased to $191 for the same service, as we had been "underpriced" previously. Businesses sometimes have to raise rates, that is understandable. That doesn't mean a customer's review is "retaliatory"! Response: It would seem this is a retaliatory review in response to our company asking the client to properly pay for the services requested. Admittedly, we failed to recognize and address the pricing discrepancy sooner. However, we cannot honor the incorrect rate and also sustain an effective and ethical business. When we attempted to address this discrepancy/error (one month prior to the discussion that lead to this review) directly with the client, we offered multiple options and tried our best to work with this long-term, five-year patron (the timeframe referenced in their review was for their newest address.) One proposal made was only an $18.45 increase to cover the unpaid areas and customize services to their needs... Additionally, we reached out to Baxter privately first to ask they consider revising this review to better represent what happened; this was not random, unexpected, or an inflexible 30% increase. If that was not agreeable for whatever reason, we suggested deleting this less-than-factual review. In reply, we were told everyone is entitled to an opinion. Overall, we had a very good experience with your family for many years, Baxter, which makes THIS ending all the more shameful. 😞

Melissa Sisneros: I have used iQ Cleaning for years now and I'm always impressed with how easy it is to schedule and communicate with their staff. They have an excellent website and their email communication is always prompt and neat. I've had to make changes, have dealt with issues of our Nest not allowing their code, etc - but every time, they have handled the situation completely professionally. I love coming home to a clean house and appreciate all the small touches they do to make it feel professional.

Michelle Morehead: It was my first time using iQ Cleaning today. I needed a thorough cleaning before a friend stays in our apartment next week to dog-sit. The cleaners did a great job. Two cleaners arrived about 5 minutes before the scheduled time. It took them a little over an hour to clean my 1-bedroom apartment. When they were done, it was clear that they had moved light furniture and objects to clean thoroughly. I will definitely use again in the future. I booked online on Friday evening for 1030am Saturday morning. Within an hour, I was notified the time I selected was over-booked, but they were available to come at 830am on Saturday. I was very impressed with the speediness of their email responses, and that they could book with such short notice. Very convenient.

After a few misstarts, Maki was able to get the house on the schedule and get the house back to it almost original condition. Certainly, the job was done spectacularly enough that the folks coming through had no idea my tenant had stopped up the main line to the street. I will use eMaids again. Absolutely.

Anna Porteus: A recent unfortunate plumbing mishap left me in dire need of a thorough deep clean throughout my entire house. Let me just say, if you’ve never lived through having portions of your concrete foundation jack-hammered up to reach pipes underneath, you have definitely missed a once in a lifetime adventure – and NOT of the good kind! There was dust and dirt everywhere. Cleaning it all up was not a task I cared to take on by myself. After doing some online research, I reached out to eMaids of DC. I explained exactly what I needed and why to Jasmine. She assured me eMaids could handle job, and they did! The team arrived right on time and went straight to work. It took a while because every surface had to be dealt with. But, when they were done, my house once again looked tidy and clean. Cara Peters: Very disappointed. While the cleaner was nice and respectful, we are not happy with the service provided. It was very expensive and they did not make the beds, did not wipe down the cabinets in the kitchen, did not wipe down our coffee tables, did not move anything out of the way for vacuuming (only vacuumed the easy to reach places), did not dust thoroughly, and did not wipe down several surfaces. The house smelled overwhelmingly like lemon pine sol but I don’t understand why as it doesn’t seem like much cleaning was done. They did do a good job on the master bathroom and cleaning the kitchen range, but we are otherwise disappointed for having paid over $400. Will not be using this service again. Gretta Martinez: I have used Think Maids for their cleaning services about 5 times now. While each cleaning has not been absolutely perfect, their personnel has done a good job of making me feel like I'm coming to a clean house. HOWEVER, recently I had quite possibly the worst cleaning experience ever. The cleaner came without a vacuum (each previous time the cleaners have had a vacuum), a swiffer, broom, and some other miscellaneous items. When I asked why he didn't have a vacuum he said "we don't need one if there is no carpet"...........I took out my own vacuum but he didn't use it. I came back when the cleaning was done to find my apartment feeling like, well, it wasn't cleaned at all. There was lint and dirt under the bed, and it wasn't just a small area, it was a good half of the space. The same under the couch. There were SHOE MARKS all over the floor. (Who doesn't take their shoes off or bring shoe covers?!) There was also some kind of yellowish gel on the floor (see photo) that honestly looked like snot. I passed a quick swiffer in the living room area and it came out dirty (see photo). The bathtub had also not been cleaned. I basically ended up having to clean up after the cleaning service. When I texted the person that coordinated with me, she was unhelpful and unwilling to give me a full refund and offered to send the same cleaner back out (????). They ended up giving me a 30% discount - as if that makes things better after having to CLEAN UP after the cleaners. After my experience today with a poor service and poor customer service, I will not be using this service again.

Kim R: I’ve used them a few times before but this time was awful. The recent cleaner was completely worthless. The first cleaner texted me to reschedule and it was inconvenient but I said okay. Then she canceled, allegedly sick but obviously had a conflict since she tried to push back my appointment. They arranged another cleaner to come who barely did anything. No dusting, mopping, sink was still dirty. He liked stacked a few things in the storage room which I didn’t even expect to get cleaned which is why I blocked it off. There wasn’t even a clean smell like I’ve had from every other cleaner and from cleaning myself. Then I ask for a partial refund and they say they want to send him out again. The cleaner sent was new with us, and occasionally new cleaners do need additional training if performance is poor at first, as in this case. Tara Boggaram: RUN DO NOT WALK AWAY FROM THINK MAIDS. They rescheduled with me four or five times, which resulted in them giving me a free clean, which was appreciated. Yet, during my free clean, they didn’t clean my basement because I didn’t select it as an extra. In addition the most egregious thing is that they RUINED MY BRAND NEW HARDWOOD FLOORS. I’m not sure what rose and her team did, but there are scratches upon scratches on my NEW hardwood floors. WHEN I RAISED THIS TO THEM THEY OFFERED ME COMPENSATION OF A FREE CLEAN. Are you kidding?! You ruined thousands of dollars of hardwood floors, won’t take responsibility and are offering me a free clean?!?? Try spekless or another company that has an easy interface to use, but is better quality, reliable and actually honest. Service: Standard cleaning

Paula Hyden: I was really disappointed by the quality of our “deep clean.” They sent a single person to do our one bedroom condo and it is clear that she wasn’t really interested. She brought very few cleaning supplies and no tools—she used our vacuum (which was fine, except that she didn’t empty the canister when she was done)—and spent well under 2 hours working. She left streaks on the mirrors and the stainless steel appliances, dirt on the living room rug, dust on the ceiling fan and the wood floors in the living room, cat barf on the kitchen floor (it was dry and vacuumed up easily), and she failed to wipe down the cabinets in the kitchen (the one service I specifically requested). She didn’t vacuum the sofa or chair in the living room, either, certainly something I consider part of a deep clean. To make things worse, no one from the company has responded to my concerns . However, this is not a charge and is simply a pre-authorization. Sometimes, that shows up as a temporary charge on your bank statement but it is not actually charged until it is put through separately at the end of the day after your cleaning has taken place. When the hold was released you should have seen it drop off. That said, I apologize for any trouble you have had contacting us and would like to make that right. But as discussed, the cleaning team did not discard your items. We had a lengthy discussion about your cleaning and how we would proceed because the home an extreme cleaning. As discussed, all trash was bagged and placed on your back porch and front porch as directed and you indicated that you checked the bags to see if your items wer in the bag. They were not. In regards to the cleaning, our teams arrive within a 2 hour arrival window, which you were provided. The team arrived at 3pm. Your window was from 2-5pm. Your confirmation email notified you of the window. We used an hourly rate because of the condition of your home. The team cleaned for 8 hours, you were only billed for 6 hours because we discussed an estimate of 6 hours over the phone before cleaning and we wanted to honor that. The team left nothing unfinished and transformed your home- cleaning stained carpet, washing laundry, and scrubbing all areas. In fact, you sent an email stating that you were pleased with the cleaning. Additionally you inquired about future services right after the cleaning was complete. Our teams are well trained professionals who WOULD NEVER discard medications. I am a bit disheartened by your review because we have before and after pictures that we will share in the photo section. Our team went above and beyond and do not normally accept these extreme cleaning jobs. We thank you for your business and are so happy that we were able to provide you with a clean living space.

Elizabeth Mbenoh: I am completed frustrated the way the cleaned my apartment. To begin unpaid for deep cleaning and they sent me over men who were literally tired! I ask them to clean only my bathroom and living room and to forget about the rooms. After inspecting their job my floor was still sticky and dirty, no cleaning of surfaces talk less of taking out cobwebs. My husband had to come back from work that evening and still do the moping. The techs that cleaned your home were professional, well trained and have the highest ratings in the company. On 2/20/22 when your cleaning was completed, the technician completed a walk through with you before leaving. This is standard policy for all cleanings. He asked if you were happy with the cleaning that you received, and you told him yes, you were very happy. The team spent several hours cleaning your home and cleaned the areas that you specified. We have before and after photos of your home showing that the floors were mopped and other areas were cleaned thoroughly. Maidwell has a happiness policy and sends teams to re-clean areas when the customer is not 100% satisfied. Unfortunately, you never communicated this to us, and told us that you were happy. We just called you today as soon as we saw your review to resolve any issues, but when asked about specifically about what you weren't happy with after telling the tech you were very happy, you hung up the phone mid conversation. We attempted to call you back, but the call went to voicemail. We would love to discuss further to make sure that you are happy. We appreciate your business and value you as a customer. Unlike other janitorial providers I have worked with in the past, Sentral leadership and their direct reports are responsive and engaged. Their service level employees are dedicated to doing a good job and have pride in their work. I could not be more pleased in the decision to work with a local service provider. An example of their outstanding level of service would include their ability to adapt and modify their service upon the onset of COVID. They were a partner in creating updated procedures and were fully engaged in training their employees on all new processes.

Terri Gavin: I want to share that as a Director of Property Management for many years there are several divisions that are difficult to make changes in. One of them is hiring a new janitorial service. Especially for a campus of six buildings and a staff that has been onsite for many years. We made the decision to hire Sentral Services, effective January 1, 2021 and they are unbelievable. I have been in property management for almost 30 years and I have never experienced the transition like this one. The Director of Operations, Regional Manager, Area Manager, existing day staff, existing night staff have all pulled together to create this incredible team. Seven Henriqeus: I contacted Unique cleaning solutions, they gave me the run-around for 3 days straight. I was ready to schedule a cleaning and every time I called I was transferred and shuffled between the 2 offices. I spoke with Angel 3 different times and each time he told me he would speak with the scheduling manager and send me an email with all the details needed to confirm my booking. I never received any correspondences. Each time I spoke with Angel he promised to give me a call back with 15 minutes and failed to do so each time. I didn’t even have the opportunity to schedule a cleaning with them and I wouldn’t recommend them based on the inadequacy, lack of follow-up and horrible communication. My only assumption is that the service would have been just as disappointing as the customer service. I wish there was an option to give 0 stars, please don’t waste your time with this establishment.

Isaiah Griff: Worked for this company years ago. They were horrible years ago and i thought they improved but no, they are worse now. Don't expect to be treated well if you work for this company. Don't expect communication period! Recruitment, and management have the worst communication, its non existent. If you leave the company even on good terms don't try to come back, this company is very petty and will not hire you back. I will be filing a complaint with EEO for hiring discrimination. I've tried to speak with management several times, so ill let management speak to EEO.

A.D. Steiner: I worked for Mister Kleen for 4 years, and they were a great company to work for. The company is the best of a small, family owned business and a larger corporation. The owners and management are passionate about the business, their customers and employees. They have the agility of a small business and everyone pitches in to get the work done. They also have processes and procedures in place like a large business so there is no guessing about the rules everyone has to follow. They were fair and communicated well. And, if there was an issue, they did their best to make it right. I recommend it as a place to work and would work there again.
