University of the District of Columbia Community College (UDC-CC): what do users think?

Henok D: The most terrible school I have ever been to. Both the main campus and the Community college are the same. A lot of slow, unprofessional, and rude staff who keep yelling at students when they are not even doing their jobs properly. I submitted a certain paper to the Financial Aid office and they told me they lost the paper after weeks that I had to pay about $1700 out of pocket. During the 2020 Pandemic, I tried to contact them as I was having difficulty to waive the Student Insurance that is provided through the school because I already had an insurance coverage; no one answered my call until it was due. And now Miss Gaskon told me that I have to pay about $1300 for the coverage I never needed. Mis Gascon was there in 2018/19 when I had the same issue; she helped me waive it then. I could not go to her office in 2020 be a of Covid restrictions. I tried to solve the issue communicating with them but nothing got better yet. I would not recommend anyone to go the UDC unless one needs a headache. I cannot deny that there are some great Professors such as Prof. Sonnie Abebaku. However, individuals are very helpful to us, it’s overall experience at the university that makes a difference in our academic lives. So far, my overall experience is just TERRIBLE!

Yesly Turcios: GLEN DOMINA rudest person ever if you are working under a facility and a Student is inquiring on information/assistance you should be able to provide that at your upmost ability but unfortunately that was not the case here..

Danny Hirschfield: I graduated UDC-CC with an AA degree in Liberal Studies Fall Class of 2015 Alumnus. This college really helped me develop my learning skills as I am an older non-traditional student that started as a freshman with very little prior knowledge and discipline in academia. I have transitioned to the UDC flagship campus pursuing my BA degree in Political Science as a pre-law student. This university is the most affordable place to get a good quality education being the only public higher learning institution in Washington, D.C.

Jamilya Allen: Okay So I applied about 3weeks to a month ago and I’ve yet to receive any papers informing me if I was missing any documents or etc. I’ve called at least 5 times a day for about two weeks straight leaving voicemail after voicemail and no one has yet to return my call not only did I call multiple times I have also emailed them multiple and no response. It’s ridiculous what’s the point of having an admissions office if they not even going to pick up the phone, guide you in the process of being admitted or anything else like you guys get paid to do nothing it’s sad.

h T: This University has only good professors! But getting a Bachelor from the UDC will not get you a job!! Their jobs faire is just to get a website from the companies and brochures lol!

Jordan Stewart: The financial aid lady with gray hair and dreads is disrespectful af. Most of the staff here are disorganized and rude. I disenrolled 2 months ago. When I went to disenroll the lady was eating crab legs in front of me. Come to find out she never really disenrolled me, and I had to go back up there today. Smh. I really wanted this to work bc I’m a Dc Resident but I’m enrolling at PGCC.

MICHAEL HILL: No comment

Washington Adventist University: what do users think?

Jason Beharry: Got pointed in the right direction when I needed a copy of some medical records.

Kate Jefferson: This school is one of the worst school I have seen, the administrative staffs are nonchalant about one’s future and keep running the business to the ground, they neglect their responsibilities and the school gives no career assistance. Good employees with excellent communication skills had their contract terminated since the school downsized. Also, foreign students are neither offered relief, grant or scholarship funds. In addition, one can never get in touch with a contact person either through calls or emails as they will never respond. I will advise one invests in a better school especially if you are an international student as you will benefit from the outcome. Attending this school is a big regret, since they’ve continuously proved me right, they waste time in preparing immigration documents, never respond to emails or calls and you might end up losing a good job offer.Lastly, the administrative staffs have no God-like characters and forget they were once immigrants. This is my experience therefore, I won’t advise international students to attend this school since we are seen to be non-existent. Nevertheless, the academic staffs are really nice. This is my awful experience, can you guys try and improve especially during this COVID season.

Lashawn H: This school is REQUIRING ALL STUDENTS AND ALL STAFFS TO BE VACCINATED with NO WAIVER that’s terrible people have medical issues that they cannot get the vaccine because it will causes serious reaction and what happen to my body my choice I would not go to a school that does not premier choice! ‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️

Sofia Requena: Vaccines should not be mandatory, especially in an adventist university!!!

Christopher Meier: Expected far greater from a “Christian” institution. Perhaps it may be an administrative issue but I was disappointed with my experience.

DeAndre Barnwell: The computer science department is good it just needs more full time professors.

Mikki Talley (mikkitphd): Classes are overpriced and they handle student debtors like loan sharks do gamblers.

Sheryl Lan: I’ve been working with Wendroff & Associates for over three years. Brian and his team were able to help me figure out how to address the income I received for rental units. The team at Wendroff are responsive and the process for filing is so easy with the paperless resources they have. I have recommended Wendroff & Associates to many people I know for their tax planning needs.

Bobby Bermudez: Wendroff & Associates is one of the very best CPA firms I have worked with. I use them for my personal tax returns as well as accounting services for my business. All of their associates are friendly, communicative experts and are thorough in their service delivery. I recommend them whole-heartedly!

Jason Lautenbacher: Hi Brian and team. Thank you again for all your help. I wanted to take this opportunity to especially acknowledge Julia. This time last year we had just started Lee’s business and she prepared us perfectly for how to manage and account for our expenses and income, so much so our tax owed estimate matched what came out to be reality. It is such a privilege to work with such great professionals. Thank you again for partnering with us on this very important task.

Wassim Subie: The pros at W&A know their stuff and are a pleasure to work with! The team is thorough and walk you through each phase of tax filing or bookkeeping services. Highly recommend and I look forward to continue working with them.

Satish Kauta: Brian Wendroff and his team have provided bookkeeping, accounting, and tax services to our growing business for almost two years. The team is extremely detail-oriented, ethical, strategic, and practical when specific needs arise. Our team works regularly with Sarah Sun and Iris Wang. In addition to Brian and the broader team, Sarah and Iris in particular are a pleasure to work with. Their fundamental drive to identify and solve issues . . . both small and large . . . sets them apart from almost everyone that Viscadia has worked with in the last ten plus years. My team and I look forward to our ongoing partnership with Wendroff & Associates.

Andrew Schwartz Crane: I have relied on Wendroff & Associates for personal and business tax services for over a decade. Not only have they handled my returns, they provided tax advisory services for complex business transactions, including both the formation and sale of my company and international sales. I highly recommend them.

Adam Sasso: Brian Wendroff and his team are excellent! They helped navigate the complexities of corporate and personal taxes when starting a corporation, and were extremely thorough. They were always available for any questions and I highly recommend them.

National Christian Academy: what do users think?

Bruce Jones: Very good school.

Rachy Rach: NCA is the best! I can honestly say the teachers genuinely cares about each child. The best part is that they keep you updated with your child daily activities via an app. The principal, vice principal, and professional staff is really nice as well! They keep you in the loop of everything, regarding your child and/or school activities/closings. My child was here for 2 years, would have been longer, but we moved out of the DMV area. Only issues I faced, on a few occasions, was with the accounting department. They are not located in the school but manages all billing accounts. They’re totally an opposite of the school staff, and an area they really need to work on. However, if you communicate with the school professional staff/Vice principal, they usually assist you with dealing with the account department.

Crystal Torrence: I love this school and the teachers as well. All three of my kids, ages 26 and 19 went to NCA. My youngest is 10 and he is entering 5th grade. The teachers do care. The classrooms are smaller then public school and they start at Pre K3 thru 12th grade. 12 grade.

Rahel Tesfaye: My two sons have been attending at National. Now they both in college. I like to say thank you for being a good base to my children. God Bless you all!

MEME PLUG: Some teachers are good others aren’t you have better options and they only bring in reclassed basketball players and the team still loses.

jacquie mcclure: My granddaughter attends the school. She has been there for4years.

Nadirah M: You own children?

Praveen Sriram: Stayed here in the summer of 2005 for my internship in Washington DC and the experience was absolutely fabulous with the dining halls and the gym being my favorites. No complaints at all and excellent customer service from the residence hall staff. I sometimes wish I studied Accounting at this university than at the one I studied at. Great school and great residence halls. Highly recommend! A+

Santiago Tovar: My friend is away at a summer camp and given the precarious infrastructure of your so called "university" has no wifi. He is unable to communicate with friends and family. This is outrageous, its unfair. Please fix this ASAP.

Adam Cox: Graduated school here in 2005. Students are very engaged and staff friendly. Great place to study.

Gabrielle Thompson: Jacksfilms is a notable alum, and yet, I do not see his name. Therefore, I will not spend my valuable time or money on this university!

University of Management and Technology: what do users think?

laine sumner: Seems to be a for profit diploma mill. The “admissions” staff consists of one person “Kacey Sipes”. Your documentation such as transcripts, diplomas, and professional licenses, will go straight to her junk folder. Never heard of this happening at other colleges. “Calleela” will send you to Sipes’ voicemail, weeks will go by until you hear from Sipes, who admits “your docs were in my spam folder”. By then you’ll be wondering if this is even a legit school. I did some checking—it’s a for profit just like strip mall Everest and Kaiser Universities were so there’s that. Also the owner/founders have strong ties to China, so be mindful going forward if you have a TS-SCI clearance.

J Potomac: UMT is a great school and very adult learner friendly, especially for those are not only serious about higher education but life is busy or mobile also. Its online learning mode allows students to balance their busy life and degree study.

John H: I am so glad I found UMT to study my degrees. They created a personalized learning plan for me and the staffs are very friendly and helpful. I also enjoyed the freedom to study whenever and wherever I want. It is not easy to find the time to study with 2 kids but UMT made it possible.

Ryan Williams: First, the school is nationally accredited. That means if you ever want to get a graduate degree from a better know school you are SOL. Second, try calling their 1800 number.... You get a Caribbean cruise survey... This school is a scam.

Chris Howard: The courses were simple. Most of the instructors were pretty good but the other half were very arrogant and condescending. I had a lot of assigments where the instructors were looking for 1 particular answer and did not want to accept other views. They lack creativity and openness. My biggest complaint was with one teacher in particular. Robert McGrath.... I would turn in an 5 page assignment and would recieve about a 65 page graded assingment back. From what I see he would cut and paste the same response to each student. Which was a bunch up crap. I learned nothing from his courses. Because his response had nothing to do what was right or wrong with my assingments. I was told by the school that no one has ever complained about his style of grading assingments. I explained to them that I learned nothing about what I did right or wrong in my assingment. I provided them with an emails back and forth with this instructor and his condescending attitude to me and they just reassigned a new intructor to me and did nothing else. In my personal opinion they dont care about students gaining knoweledge. They just want the money. If you are using your GI Bill its a great place to go to finish your degree and use it up.

American Spirit Paranormal Society: Great University and very Military friendly! I enjoy the flexibility of completing my degree online.

Krid Elah: Some tough courses/professors but an over-all excellent experience.

Cheng To: (Translated by Google) UMT is an institution with excellent teachers. Its independent learning model inspires students to think differently, and enables graduates to advance to a higher level in the workplace. (Original) UMT 是一所師資優良的學府,自主的學習模式,令學生有不同思維的啟發,更可以令畢業生在職場上更上一層樓。

Da-Wang Wu: I have several talented colleagues who graduated from Georgetown University, so I always want to visit this school. The campus is very beautiful, especially with the fall foliage. It’s a nice half-day trip to visit the university, the shopping area (mainly on M Street), the canal and the waterfront park.

Danny L: Must place to visit if you are visiting DC. Lots of things to do around the university. Great place for photography and sightseeing. Plenty of Restaurants around that area. You would love it.

David Gilbank: I fulfilled a lifelong ambition when I came to Georgetown to see where The Exorcist was filmed. I particularly wanted to throw my self down the stairs that featured in the finale. Obviously that could cause terrible damage, so I through a soft toy down instead. See photos. Its a brilliant beautiful neighbourhood. Well worth a visit.

Mj Dillenburg: Great graduation ceremonies! Except for the 95 degree heat and humidity....it was beautiful.

Russ Watts: Excellent university, superb perspective on the political realm, mindful about the Jesuit values.

Enric Piferrer Torres: We stopped for a quick walk around the university buildings, and it was worth it! It reminded me of Harry Potter somehow. Beautiful main building. We parked outside for free in a 2 hour parking (no meter). The neighborhood is beautiful too

Justin Ahearn: So charming and beautiful. Feel like I’m going to get culture of Washington DC and the people that I meet are great

Madame Dabo: Today I went to drop off my niece who’s continuing her second year of pre-med. the experience was amazing. I love how supportive the staff is. They have smooth transition process during moving in season. They were very well organized and had keys, moving carts, parking permits and guidance everywhere. I noticed that minorities are the majority at Howard. Diversity is embraced and everyone is welcomed and respected. I loved how they have sanitation stations everywhere fondue to Covid-19. The application process is easy and they financial aid staff is very helpful. Howard university os affordable and well known school. The dorms are spacious and private. Kitchen is well organized and the bathroom is huge. Campus was a little crowded because it was moving in day, but it was so organized that by 2pm everyone was situated and the streets were cleaned. I recommend this university.

Elizabeth Bobo: Howard University is in the process of changing, improving and increasing their level of services they offer their community. Good

Evens Dure: Took a snow day with my daughter she had a fantastic time. She enjoyed making improvements to some of the snowman the were constructed. Thank you HU!

So thankful to say I’m from Washington, DC and have access to one of the greatest institutions on the planet for resources!🙏🏿🤷🏿‍♂️🌺🍃

Ashley Marlow: Gallaudet University is a beautiful, outstanding, cultured giant of innovation. I cannot say enough good things about it. It is located on FL avenue in DC. It is 144miles from central va. There is on campus housing, and off campus options. The school has a vast history and a bright future. Absolutely amazing.

Jessica Harper: Awesome visit! My daughter wanted to visit while we were in DC. She took a sign language class and learned about this University. There was a nice museum on campus that we visited as well as the bookstore where she picked up a sweat shirt.

Robert Joshua: A clean shiny and bright option for those who want the best for the least!

Jane Tomczak: It excellent for international deaf students. They are of course deaf friendly. They got high security and police, that make me feel safer. Staff very friendly , must to have permit to park there. Do have visitor park for short term and you must stop by office to ask where to park visitor spot or get permit or you will get cited pretty expensive so be beware. They have dorms for student to sleep and of course have caferina for students to eat. Galladuent are exllecent choices for deaf students. They got good educations. Required use American sign language to commutation at Gallaudet.

Prince George's Community College - Main Campus: what do users think?

Betty Entzminger: I was at the concert with Renowned Opera Diva Angela Brown "Opera From A Sista Point of View" at the Center For Performing Arts and the Concert was Amazing, the Arts Building is Phenomenal and Andre, Sheryl their teams Superior Customer Superior let CAAPA know that we chose the right venue for this successful event.

Renee Woodley: I use their free tax services. The service was professional, the area was clean, and there were more than enough restrooms and vending machines for the use of the people.

Michael Lawrence: Need to fix track field. Always enjoy my time there though.

Patience Dupigny: There is a new building construction site going on so, most of the parking lots have fenced around which makes it difficult to get into the building to registered for class and is no direction

superafricanguy: Clean buildings. They respect your privacy and are COVID-19 restricted. Good place to continue learning.

oluseyi babayemi: Full of energetic Profs who always ready to assist students to attain greatness.

Bludva5939: It’s kind of hard to get in contact with almost any of the personnel here through email and phone or both. And of course when you need help with one thing everything seems to malfunction simultaneously and you have to contact more than one person so it becomes frustrating. I’m literally contemplating withdrawing and asking for a refund on a class that i really want/need to take because im having it/account issues and cant get proper help. other than that everyone that you are able to speak with is really nice and patient.
