International Center For Language Studies: what do users think?

Teacher Jessie Foreign Language Instructor.: As a student and also as a former teacher I can say that ICLS exceed your expectations. Great resources, well trained and experienced teachers from different backgrounds. ICLS cares about their teachers and students. It was a wonderful experience not only to work there but also take some French lessons.

Tatyana Ariyevich: Positive: Communication, Professionalism, QualityI took 2 tests with ICLS. The staff was professional yet friendly, and the testing process was well-organized. The instructions for both tests were clear and sent ahead of time. I received my test results in an hour. I would highly recommend ICLS for language testing.

Veronika Jerdetski: Positive: Communication, Professionalism, Quality, ValueI really enjoyed my French evening group class w Philippe! I gained a lot of knowledge about grammar & the class was heavily focused on improving students’ speaking ability. The value I got from my studies is certainly worth the (very reasonable) tuition. Thank you!

Brigid O'Donnell: I took an evening foreign language here. Classes are engaging and teachers are knowledgeable. The curriculum is rigorous but manageable for busy people. 5/5 experience, would recommend.

Driss Bernoussi: I took the Spanish evening group class for beginners and it was an amazing experience. This is much different than learning a language in high school or college, which was much more boring for me. At ICLS, they get you speaking Spanish from the beginning, and its highly interactive style helps you become comfortable with your classmates. My teacher, Astrid, was fantastic. Our class became so close that by the end we went out for a dinner on our last class and practiced ordering in Spanish. I highly recommend to any language learner in the DC area that is looking to take a class after work. It meets twice a week so it is perfectly manageable for my busy schedule.

keith o'connor: We went though Caribou for our refinancing and our experience was great thanks to Daniel Schoonmaker! He was very helpful and kept us updated on our status through email, text, and phone calls. If we had any questions he would get back to us fast with answers. He was awesome!

Monir Salim: I like the school very much. All of the teachers are very knowledgeable, friendly and cooperative. The educational environment for the international student is very positive. I miss my teachers. Jim & Jena are very good instructor for TOEFL preparation class. Bethany, Bonnie, Jennifer and Cloudia are also so good in the school management.

Leslie Shah: I really liked the International Language Institute (ILI). ILI has clear rules and expectations of teachers, staff, and students. There is a high degree of client customer service, respect and trust. ILI wants and works for student success. They offer and do as they so they do. Testing and Assessment are routine and part of progression.

International School of Languages: what do users think?

John Wood: As a current student I can say I am a huge fan of ISL for many reasons. I have been taking Portuguese there online with a fantastic professor and support staff and am having a lot of fun learning the language. When I visited Brazil my inlaws / family / friends all were asking me how I had improved so much recently and I told them about my classes at ISL. They told me I must have a good teacher and I said I definitely do. Other benefits include the flexibility of online classes and the the very affordable cost. Overall I am extremely happy with ISL and am excited I am finally on my way to becoming bilingual.

Tatijana Pesic: I had the excellent experience with the International School oh languages. They came to my assistance when I needed them and were most prompt and expedient when I needed them. I am most happy with everything with them. I recommend them completely. The language teacher was most nice and helpful. I had the good experience with them. Thank you International School of Languages. I will use you again.

Ana Toribio: I had english conversational private lessons for 12 hours. The teacher was great, she had lots of patience, very good manners and a big constantly smile. I can say my english really improved. I would highly recommend International School of Languages to anyone who wants to improve in english speaking language.

Matthew Wilson: THE place to sign up for intensive personalized training at the right level for you!

Nancy Shalett: Positive: Communication, Professionalism, Quality, ValueMy professor is fabulous - and the staff is attentive and pleasant I can highly recommend them!

Fluent City: what do users think?

Mark Johnston: I had an excellent first experience with Fluent City. My teacher was incredible! He really brought the class to life and had us practicing Spanish constantly throughout class. Our teacher used a number of engaging activities to make the class social. Besides feeling like I really made progress in learning Spanish, I felt like I got to know my classmates and my teacher. Highly recommend!

Lauren P: I loved taking classes through fluent city!! They are conveniently located near the metro in downtown DC. My teacher was great! (Thanks Ramiro!) Class size was small so it was a more personal feel. Would (and have) recommend this course to my friends!

Chris Pabon: Fluent City is the way to go to learn a new language. Modern classrooms, small class size, located across from Metro Center. Very reasonable class times. I have taken classes at USDA and Goethe, and feel that Fluent City has provided me with the best overall learning experience.

Amenaua Foy: Class was excellent. Instructor made the material relevant and fun while getting into the nuances of French. The location was not desirable as downtown D.C. at 1830 is a challenge to navigate/park.

LuAnne Patrick: A wonderful learning experience. I think the materials are the best of any program that I looked at. The teachers are wonderful and friendly do a great job of teaching adults.

Global Language Network: what do users think?

Hubert Pierre: The affordable language lessons offered by the GLN uplift both students and teachers while making both learning and teaching fun. Moreover, the confidence that the used approach builds in students whether to improve at work, in their relationships, or to carry out missions overseas using learned foreign language is priceless. Such a wonderful network started within the classroom with observable major impact.

Michael Katz: I heard about this organization from a friend, saw the incredible reviews, and immediately fell in love with the mission and the work of GLN. Hats off to founder Andrew Brown and the team. I reached out and Andrew was very responsive and helpful. I love the diversity at GLN too!

Mark Maier: Great place for college students to gain work experience. Kind and professional staff, great location, many valuable skills to learn, and so much more. The bonds you build here will last a long time.

Emily Koenig: I really enjoyed my Arabic class at GLN. While the course was online because of COVID, I still managed to learn a lot and keep up my arabic skills! My teacher Sinan was great! and the whole class really came together to make the experience even more enjoyable. Looking forward to taking a class in person as soon as possible!

Communikids: what do users think?

Reem T: We have had our child enrolled Communikids since the day he turned 2.5 (as per the enrollment requirements) otherwise he would have been there sooner! We were so thrilled of how his transition from an at home caregiver to a school environment was so easy and smooth due to the amazing staff and environment at Communikids DC! The teachers are kind, patient and very skilled at how to teach young children. They communicate with parents on a regular basis and are always available by email or in person. We receive weekly schedules for what students will be learning about which allows us to ask questions at home based on the theme, or book or activity. We also get daily reports which gives a window into the day (meals, sleep, toilet, play etc.) The staff is also responsive and very accommodating and accessible to parents. At any time I can email or call the school and will get a quick response. I am a longtime educator and know what quality looks like. In addition to the amazing Spanish immersion program, the play based focus was very appealing and aligned to my beliefs about teaching and learning. I have only positive things to say about the program and my only stress is where to enroll my child for Kindergarten when this program ends!

Katie Benton-Cohen: We had a wonderful experience at Communikids and were incredibly lucky to get a public PK3 spot. Our son learned a LOT of Spanish, had warm and caring teachers, and enjoyed school. Both he and we wished there was a better facility with windows and more play space. I hope those things can be improved in the future, but the curriculum and teachers and admin were first-rate.

Sarah Brooke: The love, support, and education our daughter received was beyond our expectations. She loved going to school and is taking her love of language, culture, and learning to kindergarten.

Jeff Zelaya: My son is learning Spanish and loves coming to classes. Highly recommended. Great teachers and program.

Berlitz Tysons Corner Language Center at Regus: what do users think?

Julie Harvey: I took private Spanish lessons to help with professional development. With my ever-changing work schedule, they were very accommodating in adjusting my schedule and even offered lessons online when I was not able to make it to the learning center. The instructors adapted the lessons to my language needs and I am now more confident in using Spanish to improve working relationships. Thank you Berlitz!

Julia Bergan: I came with zero experience and had a wonderful teacher who encouraged me and was patient and fun.The admin staff was always friendly and helpful. The center was clean and I liked the overall atmosphere. Can definitely recommend this language center!
