HearthCabinet: The Hines & Co showroom in The Washington Design Center is the perfect mix of elegance and warmth. We have worked with them for a couple years now and it is always a pleasure to collaborate. Their team is very professional and a great resource for the latest and greatest in design trends and how to best utilize materials to suite your particular project. Would definitely recommend visiting their showroom in DC.

K Barnett: Unused and unopened paint had coagulated to the point of being unusable. I went to the store to find a solution to the issue. I explained the situation, but was treated poorly by the location manager. He told me that “there was nothing he could do.” He couldn’t even look up my sale, and just dug in his heels! He would not even offer to dispose of the paint. For the cost of the product I would surely expect better customer service. I later contacted the F&B customer service offices for assistance and they provided guidance, solutions, and also apologized for the location manager’s behavior. They informed me the paint should not have coagulated within the timeframe of purchase. They encouraged me to return to F&B for disposal of the paint. I also needed to purchase primer. I was greeted by a wonderful staff person, and informed him of the customer service guidance, but the location manager insisted on continuing his inappropriate behavior, so he would not allow the other staff to process my purchase and disposal. I protested him overtaking the transaction, but the manager sent the staff person off the floor! The team is new, but better training is needed for management. My previous experiences with the F&B team has been positive, but this was abysmal to say the least.
Hunter McGuire: I’ve never had a paint project go so badly. I prepped, followed their instructions along with the instructions on the can and I ended up wasting hours of my time and I still don’t have a proper paint finish. I wish I would have never set foot in their store. I’m going to have to strip three coats of paint and one coat of primer and start all over. With a different brand obviously.

bradley Wilde: My husband and I have just come home from the Sherman Williams located on Wisconsin Avenue where we were assisted by a most competent and friendly young man named Michael. He was knowledgeable, friendly, gave advice, and was not pushy in the slightest. While we had thought we would compare Sherwin Williams with other paint stores in the area we were so impressed with Michael that decided to forego comparison shopping and will be back in a week to order the paint we need to redo the interior of our apartment. Today in the afternoon, we went with my fiancé to this store to purchase the paint and tools for our new house. We were excited as this is our first home and first time painting. There was only one very rude lady in the store who was annoyed with our questions and kept pressuring us as she kept saying that she needed to close the store (half an hour before closing). We didn’t end up buying anything and decided to make our purchase somewhere else. If you’re planning on buying from this store don’t expect to get help or guidance.

Gontran Archer: The staff was extremely courteous and professional. I picked up a gallon at a store 1 hour away which was mixed wrong. I found them just a mile from my job site so they allowed me to bring the paint to their store and provided me with a freshly mixed gallon in the right color! They were great and I highly recommend them.....they are my new store from now on!

Kris Juncker: Sherwin Williams recycles paint cans. This is a great service. We use SW paints for my workplace, and I switched to SW for home because of the quality. However, contractors get a price discount so definitely work with your builder if you are getting the walls painted.

Deborah Williams: If you are planning to decorate your home or repaint your home Will’s Decorating is the place to go. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about their products. I took my daughter there the other day to purchase some paint for her room and the doors in the house. Valerie took the time to show us the different colors of paint based on what my daughter was looking for and explained to us how much we would need so that we do not have any paint left over. It is the first time we painted and didn’t have any paint leftover. Thanks to Valerie and Michael for their great service.
Andrew Sommers: Doing kitchen renovations? Doing any interior decorating? I’ve been doing all of the above for the last two years to my masonry GHI unit. And, the best surprise to come out of the entire experience was discovering Will’s Decorating. I’ve been into Will’s several dozen times in the last couple of years, but I knew nothing of the store before I walked in randomly to get some Benjamin Moore paint in 2018. Will’s is run by a brother and sister Michael and Val. They are friendly, happy, well informed, generous of spirit, and completely down to earth. I recommend that anyone in need of supplies or advice, be it curtains, window treatments, paint, tile, furniture, or upholstery repair, go see them. Believe me, their advice and kindness are well worth driving an extra 10 or 15 minutes to patronize their store. If you’ve got any interior decorating needs, go check them out. You won’t be disappointed.

Zlatica Hoke: Zero stars. Of all the area paint stores, this one is the worst and the most expensive, the service the slowest, the selection of merchandise poorest. I get a faster service at ACE or Monarch with 10 people in the store than in this SW store with one or two shoppers in the store. The staff does not show interest in your needs. I asked about the quality of the masking tape (they are not all the same) and the seller said he did not understand the question. When I tried to be more specific and wanted to know if the tape was smooth like vinyl or more like crepe paper, he said he still did not understand. The shop caters only goods wanted by contractors albeit its location in a residential street where many people have small projects and do not need huge quantities. The only reason I ever go there is because it is a block from where I live, but every time I go I get distressed. It is worth driving further to get decent service and decent and reasonably priced merchandise.

Pauly Kerins: I’ll tell you what, the customer service in this store is TOP NOTCH!! My 1st visit I was a bit lost but Jay the manager walked me through what I needed for the size of the room I was painting. All I had to do was pick out the color, my man even gave me some pointers on how to prep properly. Legit!! My 2nd visit was even smoother. Jack one of the other managers recognized me and was able to look up my color that chose last time and got me out the door in less than 5 min. TOP NOTCH!! Here’s the kicker last visit they gave me a voucher for the food truck that they had parked outback!! Whaaaat!! Taco Taco Thanks Guys, That’s What Customer Service Is All About.

Sassy Sauce: Great discounts on Christmas items as part of the holiday sale. I picked up Christmas stockings for under $5.00. There were fire pits on clearance as well. I like this location and they generally have the items I’m in need of for repairs or decorations, etc. The staff is very helpful as well.
Kev- keepingitreal: This location offers a variety of affordable items for your home improvement needs. I really appreciate the staff in the aisle for assisting me with finding items on my check list. At check out the cashier was welcoming and friendly. This store was very clean and offers plenty of parking.
Jessica Fullington: Today I went to the garden center for some outside plants. Yolanda was so very helpful! She was able to answer my questions, she even went and got me a cart so that it was easier for me to get the items I purchased to my car. It is so refreshing to have people who are pleasant and helpful at their jobs I will definitely come back to this location to get all the plants I need this spring! Marla was very helpful as well along with the young man who answered some of my questions about my plans. All around a wonderful experience!
goklt: Lots of materials here. Check out was fast. However good luck asking for assistance. Lots of associates are walking around but not helping customers. I tracked an employee down for assistance in moving materials from a high shelf to store level in the door section. He called two times for assistance to my aisle but no one came and he advised going to customer service. They called and still no help. Had to track somone down in a different department altogether. Crazy.
Chase Johnson: The employees here are courteous. But the wood cutting service they claim to offer is not available when needed. The store should just be candid that wood cutting won’t be available (or at the very least won’t be available at any specific time). I am a local DIYer (not a contractor). Before I bought wood I asked about cutting and was told it was no problem—buy it and then request a cut. I did. I was then told the lumber associate wasn’t available for an hour. I couldn’t get the wood (a single sheet of plywood I needed to cut in half) into my car, so I waited. After an hour, there was still no lumber associate, so the wood was never cut.
Annie Signorelli: I ordered a dishwasher with professional installation and the process from start to finish was completely nontransparent and unprofessional. The installation had to be rescheduled because the dishwasher wasn’t pulled down for pick up in time, and then when it was installed it was the incorrect dishwasher — not even the right brand. After several hours on the phone with the Lowes installation line, including being told multiple times that they couldn’t advance the process because they couldn’t get in touch with anyone at their own Lowes store, I called the store directly and was able to sort it out and get the installation rescheduled. A Lowes associate later told me that they don’t have the “luxury” of waiting on hold with the store which is what I had to do in order to ensure my order was completed. Finally the correct dishwasher was installed on the third attempt and I was told I could contact the installation line again to discuss compensation for the inconvenience. Again it took multiple attempts to even get an update on where my case stood, despite being told every time that I should expect a call back “by end of business” every day I called. When I finally got offered compensation it was for less than half of the amount I requested (I requested the installation service be refunded seeing as it took 3 attempts and I was the one having to set everything up because Lowes did not follow through). While I am satisfied with the product I am in disbelief at how difficult and unprofessional the process was with Lowes. I do not recommend purchasing appliances from installation from this store or using the Lowes installation services.

Sassy Sauce: I missed all of the after Christmas saw items. This location had a few products left over from Christmas but nothing I really wanted. Overall the store was neat and organized. I didn’t need any additional items for this trip, just preparing for next years holiday decorations.
Chaturbhuj bhojwani: Great shops for home goods, this is very big shop i have been going that HomeDepot for many years i was there very first day when they opened, biggest problem is coustmer service is very bad here i stud for help for more than 20 minutes before someone showed up.
Kev- keepingitreal: This Home Depot is very convenient if you’re in the Rhode Island/Brentwood NE DC Area. They offer a verity of products that can help you with your Lawn, Garden, Appliances, Painting, Outdoor Patio, Home Improvement, Cleaning Products, Tools/Equipment Rentals and many many more. I really Appreciate the help from a young male staff who was working in the Garden/Mulch area, he was very Helpful and Knowledgeable with assisting me with the products along with a young female cashier on the inside of the store. Now you can never get the help you need when you’re in the store aisles. Every time you asked a staff member who’s in the same aisle as you. Can you help me with something? Their reply seems to be, I don’t work over here and they don’t know who can help you..!!! Home Depot needs better training for their staff who’s working in the store aisles..
Bailey Cage: Unfortunately this was the first time I’ve been to a Home Depot where the staff was completely unknowledgeable. I had spent hours online trying to research the best products / methods for tiling my second-story concrete subfloor with no definitive answers, so I decided to head to the store and find someone to help me. Normally Home Depot workers are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, but whoever they sent back to flooring to help me seemed to know nothing. He was able to show me where items were on the aisle, but he couldn’t answer a single question about how to tile my floor or what the differences and pros/cons in products were. It was incredibly frustrating and unhelpful, and I ended up leaving with a couple hundred dollars of products I later had to return. What truly upset me is that I did some more research once I got home just to find out the answer I was looking for is common knowledge in construction, but as someone doing a DIY project, I just didn’t know what terms I had to search for. For a Home Depot employee - the flooring specialist - to not know this is astounding.
jamesbowdenjr: This is the worst Home Depot is in the entire country. I am trying to get a door, but the store is unresponsive, the management is inept and provides no additional assistance, the associates are extremely slow, unknowledgeable of the products. The worst customer service experience I have ever had. I do not recommend this store. Please go to another Home Depot location.
Anna Lloyd: Desmond in the home and garden went out of his way to help us find something that 4 different employees had just shrugged their shoulders and said that even though it was available online they were probably out. Desmond knew exactly where it was and showed us himself, even though it was on the complete other side of the store. He really took customer service to the next level.
DAVID GILL: paint dept vert slow. When paint was done I was not told it was done. I came up to the counter and stood there waiting while emotes helped others. After 10 minutes he pointed at can. I said is that mine he looked at me like Duh.
Chanpen Tee: I came here for the kitchen cabinets project. The lady is so helpful and friendly. She takes her time explaining all the questions we have.

I came in on a Sunday and it was a bit short staffed with just him working, and he still went above and beyond for all those who came into the store. Claudia Bennett: I never usually give reviews, but we just had a horrible experience at this store. We ordered $600 worth of paint and the the guy who helped us was not so happy we were buying that much paint at 4:45pm. He was rude, when I told him sorry for making making you work late 15min passed 5pm. He ignored my apology and made us feel worse. He dumped the paint next to the car in a rude way and walked away leaving us with 12 gallons of paint to load by myself. Is that how Shermin Williams instructs its employees to treat customers?

Stacy Lemery: Having a West Elm accessible to bus and metro lines is great for residents of the DC area. There is always lots more online, but being able to see the quality of bedding, furniture, etc in person makes a big difference. I have purchased a bed, bedding, hallway shelving, a shoe rack, curtains, candle holders, and other decor from West Elm.
Eric Overton: Staff at this store were basically useless and didn’t seem to know much about the products for sale. Fortunately, I was only there to test a floor model before buying online. Shipping was fast with only two weeks between purchase and delivery. Delivery dudes were both prompt and chill.
Geneva: I was wary of buying from this store based on some of the reviews here; however, after a year of searching for the right sectional, I found the perfect one for me at West Elm. I received good service from the store. The sales person was very clear that my sectional - which I bought in November for a nice discount - would not arrive until early January. As promised, I got calls and emails from the delivery department the second week of January and was able to schedule a date that worked for me. The two delivery guys were amazing - they had to maneuver their big truck down a narrow alley to get to the loading dock. They were professional and efficient and out of my apartment in less than 15 minutes. The sectional is exactly what I wanted and so comfortable.
Jonathan Mullen: Some nice stuff. Seems overpriced for what it is. Similar to Crate and Barrel.Joybird is just down the street and offers higher quality furniture at a better price.
Annapurna Mitra: The worst delivery experience I have encountered. I ordered a dining table and four chairs, with in-home delivery. The chairs were sent via UPS, not assembled, and with no explanation despite paying $250 for in-home delivery. I live alone, and there are 7 pages of assembly instructions requiring two people. I have no way of doing this, and am left with a living room like a furniture warehouse. On the other hand, the dining table, which was ready 10 days ago, and I had asked the customer service to wait and schedule an appointment for all items together is yet to arrive. I cannot find a way to schedule anything on the website, and on the phone I can not find a way to talk to a human being. I have received no response to my email. If I could give zero stars I would.

Audrey Lester: Blind Customer: I increased shopping here during pandemic, as it’s in my community. On nearly all visits, I’m greeted at front door by a very knowledgeable staff member. I love how they know where every item is specifically located - like really! Upon entry, you’re on main isle. To your left are short isles leading to registers. Staff always escort me through store or to elevator where I’m met by another team member on lower level. Ayesha, General Manager, allows items to be opened for me when possible so I can feel item. I especially love their text message lime where consumers can ask questions before visiting store. Great Team!

koura Gibson: Disappointed to be rudely treated for “walking into store” before opening. The door was wide opened and I entered only to be charged aggressively by the 3 attending employees, shouting for me to exit. I had to calm them down of their excitement to reprimand me for entering the store. There was no indication that the store was not opened. No hours were posted ether. Then the older guy rudely and aggressively closed the door as I exited. He then snarkly stated “I guess!” When informing him that 8:00 was in 14 minutes. It was really disappointing to have to endure such rudeness in the morning.
Kristin Roesch: William was so helpful in matching a specific furniture screw I needed for a Murphy bed. He answered all of my novice questions and was so funny and kind. He also helped with copying a house key.

Once I walked over to customer service I politely asked an associate if there was anyone that can help with taking a tool out? She then asked me in what aisle was the tool in? While I was going to look and see what isle, there was another associate named TIFFANY who was next to the associate who I spoke with TIFFANY SAID THAT I PASSED 5 ORANGE APRONS BEFORE COMING TO CUSTOMER SERVICE WHY COULDN’T I ASK ONE OF THE OTHER PEOPLE WITH APRONS. I mentioned that I came to customer service because that is the purpose of customer service, to service the customer. I left and serviced myself in trying to find someone who can actually help me. TIFFANY SHOULD NOT BE IN CUSTOMER SERVICE IF SHE IS NOT WILLING TO SERVICE CUSTOMERS HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.
Tony Johnson: The check out lines are a tad perplexing. No designated demarcation only an arbitrary queue forming on the right so potential confusion is created but relatively easily resolved. Aka. They use a lot of self checkout.

Cliodhna MacFadden: We purchased the Element 65” TV, and after 3 days the backlight broke. We tried everything to fix it. Without a box or receipt in hand, we brought it back to see what may be possible to do. Associates TK, Nicole S, and Anton were able to use the debit card used to purchase to look up my receipt to get our return sorted. We so appreciate them going truly above and beyond to show us their compassion and excellent customer service.
Jasmine Thomas: Mobile Tech Has A Rude Raspy Voice Lady Working There. Ms.Kathy Is Extremely Unprofessional & Doesn’t Know What She Is Talking About. She Lied & Told Me That An AT&T Phone Was Unlocked. The Phone Wasn’t Unlocked & I Was Trapped In A Contract. I Explained To Her That I Wanted A Unlocked Phone & She Insisted On Telling Me The Phone I Bought Full Price Was Unlocked, Yet I’m Getting Stuff In My Email Saying I Have A Contract That I Have To Pay Off My Phone. Her Attitude Is Stank & She Never Has Her Mask Up On Her Face. Columbia Heights Target Do Better, Her and Her Unprofessional Ways Are Bringing Your Company Down Tremendously. I Will Be Reaching Out To Corporate!
Shayna Deverman: Dirty, unorganized, extremely low stock on everything. Items thrown everywhere, picked over. Shoe isle was a disgrace. Nice they have an “Ulta”, but very limited items. Took me several minutes to figure out where body wash was. Haircare, travel, makeup is all grouped together in the front/middle-like typical but body wash/deodorant was clear on the end of the store. Terrible flow. All that looking and they had very limited washes! Men’s selection had more to choose from. Went in there with a very basic list and got one thing on it… my nearest Walgreens was more helpful…disappointing since I love me a Target trip. I won’t be back to this one.

Thomas Nali: NO PARKING VALIDATION Poor inventory. This is on a regular old Monday. I asked for the product I was looking for, they checked in the back, and said it was too hard to get to and another employee would work on it, but they don’t know how long it will be. This was at almost noon. Look at how few dairy products are on the shelf. Staff continued to prove unhelpful. I asked four different employees where a type of product was and they each told me to find someone who worked in that dept. OR they just told me they “probably don’t have it” WITHOUT even looking or bothering to find where it should be!! They tried to walk off but I said I am not satisfied until we find the shelf where it should be, and I’ve been looking for fifteen minutes. Took all of that to get some help finding one little thing.
Sade Wilson: I was shopping today at the Washington D.C target store and was purchasing gift for my family I found some nice things and for a really good price. I went to check out and the items were ringing up different from what the price was upstairs I explained to the cashier he called for a manager. Donna Walker: Buyers we aware the prices in Target are going up every week and its terrible and make sure you know the prices of your items because the shelf price and the register price can be different at times. Security was following me for no reason so I had t let him know you are following the wrong person. I catch more people stealing at Target and I do not work there. Also, some of the employees are so rude. I will be recording my conversations with the employees when I need to ask for help as proof of how rude some of them can be.
