Pho Viet Restaurant: what do users think?

PJ Hamidi: This was the best Vietnamese food I’ve had in DC itself. We ordered the vegetarian pho and the tofu hot pot, as well as vegetarian summer rolls. Everything came out amazing. We were blown away by how delicious it all was. Highly highly recommend.

KB: My last experience here was very unpleasant however my partner and I decided to give it another try and this time they really turned it around. I ordered the extra spicy lemongrass pho with tofu and it was so good! I didn’t even need sriracha this time and only added the hosin sauce. Would definitely recommend this dish to the spicy lovers out there. I’m giving four stars because my partner ordered a dish with shrimp and they don’t offer whole only sliced shrimp which is really crazy based on other pho places we have been. I think offering WHOLE pieces of shrimp not slices will make this a five star place.

Nancy Cosner: One of the best pho I've had hands down. Very accommodating to honor my request (no noodles and extra spicy). Will make two meals. Tamarind drink with peanut is quite good.

janet hobson: My absolute favorite Pho spot! I literally eat here twice a week. They use fresh ingredients. The price is right. All the staff are awesome. It's like family when you dine here. The food is quick and delicious.

Love eri: I went here a couple of months ago, it was so absolutely delicious. I got a vegan pho ( make sure to read the ingredients fully some of the items sound or look like they be could vegan but they are not). Nonetheless it was really good I sat outside, they have a small patio outside of the restaurant but it was really cute and cozy. The staff were nice and the food was great. Definitely coming back some time soon.

Ema Klimaitė: That’s my to go place for Pho soup! And trust me, I tried a lot of places around the area. Everything we tried on a menu so far is incredibly delicious. Quick service, you can also select the spicy ese of your soup. They know what they are doing. Very much recommend this place.

Harsha P.: Amazing Pho! Mostly a takeout place. Portions can easily serve two. The spicy chicken lemongrass is spectacular (pictured) and far more authentic than Pho 14. Also, they know how to pack Pho for take out to maintain the ingredients. Try their veg. spring rolls - pastry is extra flaky.ig: @harshaeats

DConHeels Editor: Serving sizes were small. Even the bean sprouts & basil was skimpy. Pho q4 up the street is better, at least for the beef pho & garden rolls.

Vanessa Olson: My favorite Pho spot in the DMV! Lemongrass broth is really unbeatable. Orders are always on point, and super friendly staff.

Cindy O: Always delicious and they treat customers like family. My fav dish is the spicy lemongrass pho. Other pho restaurants have tried to replicate it but it doesn't touch PhoViet (the original creators of the dish). Oh soo good!

Pho 54 Noodle Bar: what do users think?

Feruz Tedla: Best Pho ever had-- good portion/broth very flavorful.BanhMi (chicken) sandwich-- tastes delicious with fresh ingredients.Service is always great.

David Yip: Veggie Pho but in beef broth as they were out of veggie broth. Good size portion. The beef broth was good, not too salty, not overpowering but a little too oily. I wish the fried tofu was cut up smaller as it is more of a two bite. This is in my neighborhood so I will definitely be back for the same bowl but hopefully in veggie broth.

Monica Arciga: Great spot when you are craving hot pho on a cold day! Indoor seating could have a bit of a wait if you come when it's busy. Good service, decent prices

Ben Multak: Man if you eat here you will definitely be full because frankly it’s just so hard to stop eating. Sandwiches are all super delicious and savory but also really light/fresh tasting. I’d recommend the meat combo. The rice plates are really well seasoned and the lemongrass flavor paired with grilled meat is simply chefs kiss. Portions on these are usually pretty generous and can make two meals. If you eat the whole thing in one sitting then plan on drinking alcohol you simply won’t get drunk. So yeah great hang over or pre drinking food. I look forward to trying the pho here it’s the only thing I haven’t had on the menu so far. But I’ve heard good things from friends. While the Banh Mi are affordable I ended up paying around $20 for the chicken and rice plate you see here. As a supporter of small businesses and the staff here in general I don’t have a problem with the price. But just something to note.

Sophia Greene: Decided to try a new restaurant on the way home and BOY am I glad I did. Despite the place being very busy with only one person manning everything minus the food, the service was excellent and came out very fast and hot. Not to mention it was DELICIOUS! Excellent service and food! I ordered summer rolls, Pho ga and Lemongrass Bahn Mi delicious 😋

Johnny Harris: Great potions. Solid brisket and round. Nice broth. Highly recommend. The owner was very polite. He made me a special juice that was very refreshing! Bravo

Hanna Ozbeki: P2 is the way to go!! soo goodveggie egg rolls were good but not the bestgreat service too!!

Allison Whitney: Quick, affordable and tasty phõ spot! Extremely casual so perfect for a lazy rainy day meal or really any day.

Linda Miller: The pho here was absolutely stunning. I ordered the Pho Tai and let me tell you… I have never had such an excellent portion as well as amazing of a broth. The aroma from the broth was stupendous. I do not live too close by but this place humbled every single bowl of pho that I have had before. The staff also seemed to love their job and were having a good time amongst themselves. Service was fast and amazing. I am in love with this place and I will be coming back again! Please if you are looking for pho in dc this place has every other spot beat!

Mary Gordon: Love the option for vegan pho!! The veggie broth is so flavorful and their fried tofu is some of my favorite ever, it melts in your mouth. Delicious tofu banh mi as well!!!

Pho 79: what do users think?

Aung Myo Htut: I do not remember the exact location of the restaurant but I remember it is not too far from the capitol hill. I went there for lunch with my friends during my visit to Washington DC. I had rice with grilled pork. Rice is a bit tough but grilled pork is amazing. The taste is so good. I recommend you to have that. But Pho is not on par with the one that I had in Lorton. The prices are reasonable.

Nicole M: Food was amazing!! It surprisingly wasn’t too busy and was a bit nervous after seeing some reviews say they don’t put a lot of protein. That wasn’t our situation at all! We received plenty of tofu and meat in our bowls. I felt like the serving was more than appropriate for how much you pay. The broth is DELICIOUS and I’ll most definitely come back! Best pho I’ve had in a while and the service was incredibly welcoming and friendly! :)

Ann Khong: We got the Goi Cuon, Bun Dac Biet, and Pho Bap Tai. - The Goi Cuon tasted quite bland, but the dipping sauce was pretty good. - The Bun Dac Biet was brilliant, fair amount of toppings with tasty sauce, especially the grilled pork, which was amazing! - The Pho Bap Tai was good. My mom liked it, especially the broth, the beef was also tender and flavorful; for me, it has a bit a lot of star anise for those who are sensitive to spices, but my mom is very judgmental when it comes to food and she says that it’s pretty close to the pho in South Vietnam. The restaurant has good location but was not really crowded when we arrived (around 11am), the owner told us they are still recovering from the pandemic. The atmosphere and service for dine-in were really nice. Regarding the price, I find it reasonable comparing to its convenient location and the quality of the food.

Critical Chris: My pro tip is that the table up at the front window has excellent air conditioning! I really enjoyed the beef tendon and round eye steak pho with extra jalapeño pepper slices. It was the perfect thing to help me sweat and cool off on a blazing hot summer day in DC. The service was ok. They could have come around and filled my water glass a bit more often. I’ll most definitely be back again.

Ho Nguyen Anh Minh: The restaurant has good pho and rice meal! I would recommend special rice meal (which is number 26) on the menu. The pho is good too! For now the restaurant is lacking the drinks and some of the drinks in the menu is no longer provided. Due to lack of updating the current menu I can only rate this 4 out of 5. The photo just means the food is so good that I clean pretty well the plate as you can see! Lol! The vietnamese style milk coffee is also good! The taste wise is 5 out of 5.

Toua Yang: Came here after seeing that the highest rated pho place was temporary closed. As most reviews was saying how great the Brooth was I thought I try. It wasn't anything spectacular but wasn't water down like bad places. There was hardly any meat though so I'm not sure if it's covid related with supply and demand or if this is norm since most review also seem to agree. Overall not bad since I had worst but nothing to brag about either.

Trà Nguyễn: Great foods at reasonable price! Authentic Vietnamese foods, the cook is Vietnamese. I also really like the special lemongrass juice. It’s fresh, delicious, and pink 😆

Trinity Claycomb: The broth is delicious. That’s the only compliment that I can give. The portions are smaller than any place I’ve ever been. There were literally 3 pieces of beef in my container. Barely any noodles or anything else. Gave me 1/4 of 1 slice of lime. This stuff is cheap to produce. Why rip people off? I gave 2 stars only because the broth. Most places give you 3x as much as this place, and that is a generous observation. Might as well ordered a happy meal from McDonalds. But if I did I would have got way more to eat. Rip off.

Christopher Sullivan: Review is for take out. Got the #1, 17 and 36. Broth was just okay on the pho and the meat quantity was good enough. Kind of surprised that the only green herbs were spring onion and cilantro and that we got lemons instead of limes. High point was the tendon in 17, so soft and buttery, really delicious. Fresh rolls were also just okay. They had fried tofu rather than shrimp which was kind of disappointing. Items were packed pretty well with everything separate so the noodles and veg didn't get too soft.

Tyler Broyles: A beautiful restaurant. Hospitable service and good Pho. The experience was unforgettable. They have chopsticks and soup spoons at the table which was a nice touch. 👌

Pho Viet USA: what do users think?

Josie Luong: We ordered Beef Pho from them through Uber Eats and it was so good we had to visit the restaurant in-person to try out their food. We tried their Beef Pho again the Spicy Noodle. Highly recommend their special beef pho (10/10!!). The broth was rich in flavor and they gave us lots of meat (both dine-in and through Uber eat). My family had tried Pho in many Viet restaurants and we all agree this place had the best Pho!

Samson Williams: You ever go to write a review and have to start off with a sigh? Where you end up asking yourself, why must I relieve the trauma of a bad meal? I know. I know. If the delicate taste of wet wide rule paper is the greatest injustice I face today, what really do I have to complain about, right? So instead I'll explain the context of what made me order $30 of bland empty calories. After a long days work I ordered this meal to go. As I was feeling dangerous I didn't check the contents of the bag. Opting instead to just give it a good shake, allowing my ears to determine the culinary contents inside. Oddly, the confirmation that I had a drink in the bag turned out to be the highlight of the meal. As I would later find out once home that the drink wasn't the thai ice tea I ordered. Rather it was a watered down thai iced coffee. I do not drink nor like coffee, muchless cold coffee. However, this particular drink was the reprieve to the meal as they have concocted a way to make milk extra wet, with just a hint of water, such that this iced coffee that was palatable to my non coffee drinking tongue. If you drink actual coffee, much less good coffee, I do not recommend. But of you prefer your coffee to be extra wet milk with the viscosity of water but look of pond run off, their iced coffee is definitely for you. Now the meal...💩🙊🙈🙉. This version of vermicelli is bested expressed in emojis. So, whatever emoji represents 😟 🙁 😥 😞 best in your mind, that's how this meal made me feel. And as a fat kid I feel bad enough eating to excess as it is. And don't need my empty calories to compound the guilt. So, won't be eating here again. But do encourage you to try it out, if only to refresh your palate for when you have delicious vermicelli. That way you can savoir it all the more.

Michael Trent: My wife and I have had pho all over the world. The only thing that matters is the broth. This place is first rate with a spectacular well conceived broth base. Friendly staff. Definitely a top recommend.

Bianca S: This place is ok. The pho is not bad but I have had better the egg rolls are on the same level as the pho. Also they have a rice dish on the menu but told me they don't actually serve it. This could be because they are newly opened but I don't think I will be back.

Wayne HarRell: I originally went there to get extra mileage points on my credit card and in 2 weeks I've now been 4 times! It's a hidden gem! Authentic, great food!

Jessica Stelter: Everything I've had at this place is delicious and so flavorful! Look at this- most amount of shrimp I've ever seen in a vermicelli bowl. Great value and great people too!

양은수: The restaurant's owner didn't pay for my friend working at there. I visited the restaurant oftenly before, but since I heard the terrible truth, I decided to not go the restaurant from now on. If you don't want the reality of that employee who doesn't get paid well enough to become your family or friends, when you visit this restaurant, you have to ask the owner or manager to pay the staff correctly.

tung dang: that's is great food in Beef Pho and Spicy Lemongrass , i recommended food for here when you had been DC ..!

Xiomara Crespin: I cant see why people would say their soup is the best.. its not!! ITS GREASY! & I asked for extra cilantro & instead they gave me NO CILANTRO! The BROTH and the chicken had A LOT of black pepper! the broth is also extra light ( not usually light) WHAT TYPE OF PHO ADDS PEPPER TO THE SOUP? THE NOODLES WERE HARD !! bc I did a door dash order, I wasn't able to return it. WASTE OF MONEY! REALLY UPSET, I wouldn't want to try anything else from here.. it's probably filled with black pepper and grease! DO NOT RECOMMEND FOR REAL PHO LOVERS! the picture I uploaded is the grease from just removing it from the bowl & all the pepper that stayed in after pouring it into another bowl.

Brian Kelley: I had the pleasure of dining at Pho Viet USA last night with a friend who lives just down the street. The food was delicious, and it wasn't very busy even though it was a Friday night. Also, the meals were very reasonably priced and I was surprised at how large the portions were. I recommend eating there!

Simply Banh Mi: what do users think?

Joanna Guy: Wow, Simply Bahn Mi is outstanding. As a pescatarian, it is very hard to find an incredible Bahn Mi. This satisfied my craving! I’ll be back time and time again! I recommend the tofu Bahn mi with crispy eggplant, peppers, soy sauce, and special request for moms chili sate 🤤

Khalil SM: It was the first time I was able to eat authentic Vietnamese food because it is halal, and it is the best place in all of DC. John is one of the best people to be able to talk to and seeing him behind the register was always a pleasure. This was the only spot that I would take folks who visit DC to, and each one loved it so much. Although I do not live around there anymore, I would love to visit just for some pho and banh mi again. A 5 star review does not even do it justice, I would give 10 if possible.

Praxedes Gamez: Visited because of the great reviews on here but was disappointed in the quality of the sandwiches and drinks. The banh mi are 75% bread and pickled carrots and only 25% protein. The drinks were blended and absolutely bland. I got two different flavors - lychee and passion fruit - and neither tasted like what they should.
Response: Ooof. Sorry for such a lack luster experience. If you order again, I would love another opportunity to pay extra attention to assure we give you the best we have to offer. Bread sizes may vary due to various environmental factors, but we weigh protein portions to make sure every sandwich gets the same amount. As for the drinks, I will revisit the recipe to make sure we avoid future unsatisfied customers. Again, really sorry.

Olivia Rovin: Their fresh tofu spring rolls and lemongrass tofu bahn mi single-handedly revived me during a very bad hangover. The owner/chef was so sweet. Highly recommend - hungover or not!
Response: Olivia, please go out and have lots more fun. I will have the "Olivia hangover" order ready at a moments notice. Be safe though and know that simply banh mi is on the ready.

L M: Most amazing banh mi we have ever had! So delicious. And Johnny is the friendliest person we have met so far in the US! Johnny hit us up!
Response: We'll thank you so much! I hope that you found many more friendly people during your visit. If I knew who you were and where your from, I would definitely hit you y'all up! Thanks for supporting my little dive. Visit the country again soon!

Esfaque Ahmed: Awesome place for Pho. They said all the meats are halal. We ordered lemongrass beef and beef brisket pho. We also ordered appetizer combo. Lemongrass beef pho I think is little spicy. So be careful if you don’t eat much spicy food! Service was very good.

Krishna Bhavithavya Kidambi: We did not dine in so I can not comment on the any other aspects apart from the food. The sandwich DAMN..! It’s one of the best Banh mi sandwiches I have eaten. We got the lemon chicken, cold cuts and BBQ pork. Not even one disappointed us. The sandwich was crunchy at the same time easy to bite in. The flavors were amazing. Not too spicy, not soggy as well. I would go with their recommendations about the sauce and toppings. If you are craving or wanting to try a Banh mi, don’t even hesitate this is the place to go to. The staff were so friendly. Heads up- it’s on a busy street with not much of parking, there is a street behind where you can park and walk for five min.
Response: this is an amazing review. i mean, a little nsfw language, but i'm an adult. hehe. i'm super glad you enjoyed the recommendations. they're not the only way to have em, but they're the way i like em. since the pandemic, we are only providing takeout and delivery. that being said, i'm happy to bring the food up curbside! take care and stay safe! thanks!

Humza S. Naveed: I was in the DC area for the first time due to some work and during the lunch break I decided to look up if there were any halal restaurants near me at the time. I saw the usual Kabob places and was surprised when I saw a Vietnamese restaurant come up under Halal. A little skeptical, but I decided to check it out. I'm so glad I did! It was easy to find. Lovely place. Looked great from the inside and out! It has seating for about 16-18 people all inside. Menu was simple and easy to understand. I was there with my brother and we were both excited at the fact that they had Halal Beef and Halal Chicken. Diana was the one who greeted us and helped us by explaining the type of dishes they served. Very nice person. I ordered the Rice bowl with Lemon Chicken, Peanut sauce, Peppers, and a Fried Egg. So delicious! Can't describe how amazing the food was. It looked wonderful and tasted even better! One thing though, I eat a lot of food personally and I would've liked a little more rice. While I waited for the food I talked with John. Really cool guy. We got to talking about why they chose to serve halal food in their restaurant, how they started up "Simply Banh Mi", how far they've come, and if they're going to open another one any time soon. Really nice people, location, great food, and I'll definitely be coming back again with my family and friends!

Kayo Teramoto: Love their banh mi sandwiches! Very filling and the bread is so good. A wonderful neighborhood staple.
Response: Thank you Kayo! I'm glad that you enjoyed our food. Please come back and eat lots more. My car needs expensive repairs.😁

Cynthia Shannon Burke: Chill and casual neighborhood spot. Cozy and friendly. Order at the counter. I got vegan pho with extra tofu and veg, and bf got lemongrass chuck banh mi with egg. Everything was delicious. Reasonable prices, we paid around $35 including tip for both dinners, beverages, and a bottle of water to go.

Pho 14: what do users think?

Diana Fuentes: My favorite restaurant! I had the spicy lemongrass broth which was beyond amazing I love it more than the beef broth which is what I usually get. My friend got the vegetarian broth made from fuji apples and it was also really good with a hint of sweetness. We also got the seafood rolls. The rolls were two for $8 but they were a good size and cut into 3 pieces each. Everything was fresh. Overall the environment, service and the food were great. Absolutely recommend, I come here whenever I want pho. Ps: 1st two photos have to do with the review the rest are different things ive tried. (All as great as the last)

Bernard: Update 2wk later Feb 21: Got the same package for the week - 2pho, 2banhmi, 2goigun, 2bunbohue. Still fire. And the dude inside with the mullet had such wise kindness that he’s my new spirit animal. Gonna grow a mullet in solidarity..cause zoom meetings allow for such fun asides Orig review: Phonomenal!! Ordered banh mi, pho, bun Bo hue, spring rolls for Tet. All 🔥🔥🔥. Meat quality excellent. Pho broth not oily or too salty. Balanced. Delicate. Sumptuous. Glad this is in the neighborhood!

Nancy Cosner: Delightfully good. Empty bowl proves that. Not crowded. Excellent service. Delicious meal. First visit. Will certainly return

Giovanna Dixon: I had a Pho 2 weeks ago that was delicious. Then I returned and ordered a pan fried noodle seafood dish. BIG MISTAKE! The ingredients were awful, it appears the items were all from the Giant around the corner. I left most of the $20+ meal on the plate. Stick with the soups, you can't go wrong.

Royal Le: friendly customer service and staff. they offer indoor dining with sufficient space between tables. The pho here is pretty good (that’s the best you’ll get from someone who grew up with home made pho) I get the premium ingredients for a more authentic bowl. if you buy the large bowl of pho you should also get extra noodles. the banh mi is also good and seems fairly priced to me.

Angel Galvan: I'm visiting from NorCal, I've eaten from plenty of Vietnamese restaurants, and it is safe to say that this restaurant does not live up to the hype from the other reviews. The first thing I noticed was that the portions are too small for the price. The portions back home have you worried for the servers whenever you see them handle the bowls with one hand due to the bowl’s size. I understand that this is in DC, or that some places emphasize quality over quantity but this place failed to do so. I got some vermicelli with bbq pork yet the dressing was too sweet while the pork lacked flavor and was excessively tough. I haven’t tried the pho so I can’t comment on that. Overall, I'd say it's good enough for the average person, (especially a Washingtonian) just not my first pick

Saagar Gupta: Unfortunately, disappointing for pho. Haven't tried rest of menu. Got a large beef pho with 4 standard toppings. Broth very watery, not satisfying at all. I'd recommend the Pho Viet USA on New Hampshire. The spicy lemongrass or beef are far better. Would love to give Pho 14 a second chance, but at $14 for a large pho, can't afford that.

Khushi Karia: The northern hue-style soup is sooo good! It's comforting and warm, perfect for a cold winter night. The heat levels are pretty accurate so keep that in mind. I love that the vegetarian items on the menu are so clearly marked. If you are a vegetarian who doesn't eat eggs or fish like me, please specify that to the wait staff so they can guide you about what items contain eggs/fish sauce. The portions are large, I could not finish more than half of it. Try the vegetarian vermicelli noodles and the vegetarian rolls, they're amazing!

Mr.Bantu: It hurts for me to right this review. I genuinely love eating at this place at least 4 times a week. Today has got to be the worse experiences I've received in a while. From the minute I worked in the cashier lady with glasses and green colored hair (young asian ady) didn't looked to pleased greeting me. Every question I asked was like a chore for her. Usually they would guide you to your seat and offer you water but I never got that service today even after asking several times I was ignored. I think she was more worried about being on her phone than doing her job. This was my first time seeing her too. But do you know That look a person gives you when they are disgusted? Yea surely got that from her the whole time I was there, the vibe was wayyyy off. So I'm sad to say I will not be coming back to this business again. A for a person who spends at least $150 every week for 2 years straight....I'm disappointed. Please train her or get rid of her.

Joshua Grail: First time taking out. Not great, fat on the meat wasn't rendered well and was inedible, broth leaves a lot to be desired. I don't think I will come back.

Sandrine Masseron-Tiller: I definitely would recommend this restaurant on any day! The ambiance is superb! The food is outstanding! Fantastic alcoholic options… including endless mimosas. I also ended up ordering their iced Vietnamese Coffee to go for the perfect pick me up!

Jarron Brady: I really enjoyed my experience here. Had the spring rolls as the first appetizer and they had a great crunch and the contents were tasty, even though I prefer a sweeter dipping sauce. The crispy chicken wings were fried so well, no complaints. The beef in the beef platter was so juicy, the sauce on top was flavorful and it had a chewier consistency. Person I was with loved the stir fried rice noodle as well. The $7 dragonfruit daiquiri was good as well. Would def come back

Tatyana Tanner: Yesterday my boyfriend and I went here and everything was great. For drinks we ordered the electric kiss, a little too sweet but tasty. For apps we ordered the pork steamed dumplings and fried beef jerky. 10/10. For entrees we ordered Seafood curry and Shaken Beef. Seafood curry was to die for and wasn’t not coconut based which made it better because I am not a fan of coconut curry or coconut anything. I definitely recommend this place.

JL Alston: I went here for Brunch doing Pride weekend. The atmosphere is decent 3/5, food was great 5/5, prices a bit high, but normal for a trendy place in the area. Minority Review: I saw a great mix of ethnicities, ages, and genders! All were welcome. (It was pride weekend though)

Morgan Venzant: First of all, the brunch drinks are strong in a good way! I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and our server, Mariah L., was exceptional. She got thrown onto the patio on a busy Sunday but she took it in stride. We enjoyed ourselves so much we forgot our food, which means we have to come back :) there are plenty of vegan and veggie options (the veggie steamed dumplings were hitting). Highly recommend!

Farzad Hasnat: Unbeatable ambiance for lunch. The outdoor patio is great, and the service is even better. The pho was decent, nothing spectacular, as I generally like my meat a little more rare. Thai ice tea was not as sweet as I’m use to, which was a pleasant surprise. Waiter and hostess both great. Always busy on the patio for lunch, so call ahead to make sure they have space.

Jelena Djokic: I had a drink at the bar while I was waiting for my take-out. The place was packed with young people, mostly on dates. The staff is very friendly and it's a cute place. Not fancy and reasonably priced. But the food was a winner! We took the chicken plate and two other appetizers (dumplings). First of all, this was dinner and lunch for us because the portions are big. Secondly, that might have been the best chicken I had in DC.

Daisy de Santiago: Pre-pandemic, we were regulars at Doi Moi. We recently returned to try out their new(ish) fare. First. I love the new interior and exterior design. It does have a Southeast Asian vibe. Second. The food was really good! There was nice selection to choose from and enjoy. Third. We had great service. Now that we are able to get around, we will put this on our rotation of restaurants.

Brian Chen: Poor service. Also most of the food here is not Vietnamese food. No wonder some reviews here say this is good Thai! Mango sticky rice (not Vietnamese btw) had very raw and hard mango, and we had to cut the mango ourselves. Service: Firstly there was someone vaping. Waiters either didn’t see or didn’t care. It was busy, but waiters seemed very slow at moving around and it was hard to get their attention. I raised my hands for many minutes several times. The host also barely paid attention to us when we came, it wasn’t clear to us whether we’d get a seat after asking. Pho and drunken noodles were average. Pho came with very little soup, in a separate cup (very strange) and we had to ask for more.

Dondré: Doi moi has become one of my favorite restaurants in the city. The atmosphere is great, the outside seating is also a big win. I'm a big fan of the food as well. I'm a big fan of the pork chops and the fish. Fresh ingredients, especially the vegetables are key in making the food so good.

Jarron Brady: Dining here was a really pleasant experience. The decor is cute and the food was excellent. The fried pork buns were my favorite dish. Got the fried chicken and fried rice as the main dish and it was cooked so well with a nice crisp. The drinks were good as well and the presentation is a plus as well. Can’t wait to go back and try more.

Elizabeth Cosner Decker: Fantastic experience and wonderful food. Contactless menu to pull up on your phone. (Means you can also research the menu ahead of time if you have ordering anxiety.) Must order waffle rolls. Crystal boba for people who like the texture but maybe not the sweetness of brown sugar. I ordered C2 and the waitress warned me it was sweeter. I'm glad she said something because it would have thrown me. Everything was delicious though and the staff was helpful and attentive. The environment was pretty fun too.

Robin: Wonderful experience! The Chicken Pho was good and there Signature Milk Tea was mmmmmmm good! I enjoyed the Shrimp Spring Rolls and the Fried Rice. It’s a great atmosphere with good music and even better customer service from all the staff. Everyone was so attentive and helpful. I cannot wait to return.

LP: They ARE open yall despite the construction going on on 9th right now. Cute and funky decor where the kitchen looks like it’s inside a bus, and oil drums covered with stickers. kind staff and tasty food. I got the Thai green milk tea with brown sugar boba and the fried tofu bahn mi. Their sammies are SPICY. Don’t let the jalapeños fool you.

Jason Seo: Yelp had such raving review, but it was definitely a huge let-down for us. Chicken pho (no beef option) literally tasted like chicken noodle soup with rice noodles. The fries chicken with rice was better, but the skin was a bit soggy and bland.

Anastasiya Denisova: Great little place! They are open despite the construction on the 9th and are a true delight. The place has funky and happy decor, friendly service, and delicious food. I especially love egg coffee as a great midday pick me up.

Chris Estafanous: This place is fantastic. The vibe, the food and the service are top notch. We started with the fried pork baos, and then had their bbq pork sticky rice and then split a bahn mi and their broken rice. We then finished off with their veitnamese iced coffee which was the perfect dessert and energy boost we needed after all that food. I highly recommend!

Alexis Denny: Came here for lunch with a friend and the food and experience was awesome! Cute little spot with funky decor. I had the banh mi & coffee and it was a perfect lunch. Definitely plan on coming back to try their bao buns and fried rice.

Philippa Hughes: Very tasty! I rate Vietnamese restaurants by the quality of their summer rolls and this one is excellent. I like the sticky rice with chicken. Rice with bbq pork also yummy.

Sharon: Me and bf came for the soft opening, and this place is amazing! Service is kind and attentive, wait time for food is reasonable and it tastes great ! (Solid 9/10 for all of our dishes) . There’s an upstairs and downstairs (down is the darker one), and the food menu/ordering is upstairs. Food pictured is the broken rice with chicken. If I lived closer I would regular this place. Everyone needs to stop by! (Also it isn’t a cold place so keep in mind if you sweat easy like me)

Pho 75: what do users think?

Amber Li: Authentic pho! Beef brisket and tripe is fresh, the soup is the best! Definitely recommend their drinks, I love the lemon water, it’s not just lemon in water, it’s flavored, really good. The only thing I felt inconvenient is they’re cash only, even though they have ATM in store, still very inconvenient. So please prepare cash if go.

Kevin Shim: Good pho with minimal MSG. I did not feel sleepy or tired after eating the pho. It’s decently flavorful with loads of meat. I felt that the pho was a bit too lukewarm. The Korean in me wants all my soups to be scaldingly hot. Definitely worth checking out. My friends from Vietnam have also vouched for this place and their pho. Also, the bathroom is useable, but definitely not the cleanest. I believe that the cleanliness of a restaurant’s bathroom reflects how clean the kitchen is. Take that as you will.

Ho Diem Tho: I came here with my korean friends after tired of fast food. The Pho is authentic and delicious, i tried salted lemon and it is too salted kkk. and my friend tried iced tea. The food preparation is quite fast. The small bowl is quite big to me. However, the water is not very good. It tastes like just tap water. The restaurant accepts cash only but dont worry because there is a ATM inside the restaurant for you to withdraw the money

Yimin Zhu: My second favorite pho restaurant with high quality price ratio. My friend says that an authentic pho restaurant has 2 symbols: name with number and ATM machine. LOL it is cash only. We have two people and ordered pho+iced Vietnamese coffee+dessert per person. The total is less than $40. They have rich options of pho such as thin and fat. I love the soup. For the iced coffee, it looks interesting but I would prefer a stired coffee. The coffee itself come with condensed milk at the bottom of the cup. Another plastic cup is provided with iced. You have to pour the coffee to the plastic and stir by yourself. The coffee was a bit bitter. I guess either I did not pour all the condensed milk even with the help of a spoon, or I did not stir enough as it is in a iced cup. No matter which reason caused it, I hope they have a more ready version in the future. Desserts are normal. My recommendation would be the pho + iced coffee only. You can choose number 1 to take all choices for pho.

Promiti Ghose: Super tasty pho. Haven't had a pho quite like this before. Mostly beef combinations, no pork, and one chicken soup available. Also, the place only specializes in pho and other than beverages and dessert, there isn't much more. This is good too because you know their pho is going to be good 👍 family-friendly and no alcohol served.

Albert Jonathan: I had a beef combination pho with raw beef, cooked beef, tripe, and tendon for approximately $11 a bowl (CASH only). Overall the pho tastes fine, but personally I think the brooth lacks of fragrance. The big downside of this restaurant is the service. The guy who served us was very rude and not welcoming. Not a very good overall dining experience.

Mubin Ahmed: If you are looking for a place with good service, cleanliness and overall a nice dining experience this is not your place. Very rude and pushy guys that run and serve at the place. They legit want you in and out fast. The place only serves Pho so you don’t have many options. Not a very tasty Pho broth. The meat quality is decent but absolutely nothing to rave about here, have had better Vietnamese food in the area don’t know why this chain is so popular to be honest.

Andrey Kisel: Delicious pho with multiple options for meat toppings including beef tripe, flank steak, soft tendon, brisket, etc. Large bowl for 11.95 before tax Enjoyed the Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk!

David Yuan: I like to come to this restaurant to eat pho. Before, his soup was very clear and delicious, but now their soup tastes a bit muddy and heavy, I don't like it too much. But I still like to eat often, especially when I feel tired. A good bowl of hot soup can save the soul and body of a tired person. What's more, he is very cheap, enough to accommodate all his shortcomings. thanks.

Larsa Rasho: Good local pho for a pretty good price. The only negative was the sheer volume of people inside and the cash only payment option. Felt like a giant cafeteria. Probably better to frequent for lunch instead of dinner.

Sprig and Sprout: what do users think?

Alexander O'Neill: A Glover Park staple. One of our favorite places to grab Pho and a bunch of other delicious options. Try the vegan pho made with burdock broth and black pepper tofu!

BRWND Butter: Can never go wrong with some good tasty pho with a side of crab meat rolls. This weather lately definitely calls for some nice traditional pho. Follow us on IG for more food pics: @BrwndButter

zarin bhuiyan: Can only speak to the Too Good to Go bag I grabbed on a Tuesday night after closing - it was amazing experience. Great value and variety of items! They packed me a whole rice entree, two orders of summer rolls, and even a passionfruit tea drink. And the staff was more than friendly, the young black guy who helped me went above and beyond. 💕💕💕 couldn't recommend enough.

Anne Becker: We ordered take out today but were able to dine in with a group of 7 people, some of them visually impaired. Food was delicious. Staff is super friendly and ready to assist in any way they can. Highly recommend the place!

Ronjon Ray: I've been coming to Sprig for at least 10 years. I have no idea why anyone who knows anything about pho would rate this place less than 5 stars. The broth is second to none. The appetizers are fire. My only feedback is they don't offer a larger size option on the bowls, because it is that good. Hands down best pho and Vietnamese restaurant in the city. Will be back!!!

Elaf Al: The best pho and banhi mi in the city. Great quality food. My go-tos are the crispy chicken banhi mi and build your own beef bone broth pho bowl with eye of round x2, mushrooms, and salt and pepper tofu. I’m obsessed with the broth and sometimes just order a cup as well :)

Joe Nicol: eat here at least once a week, the banh mi is unmatched, so many options for vegans/vegetarian without compromising taste or quality in the slightest — my favorite quick dinner spot in the neighborhood

Vidhi K M: I love this place. By far one of the best banh mi sandwiches I’ve had. They have other Vietnamese food. The place is nice and the food is reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend going here.

Charles Jones: Disappointing meal. The Pho I was served had little flavor. The veggies were raw. It did not have the depth of real Vietnamese Pho, but rather seemed like something I would defrost in the microwave.

Brittany K: Editing my original positive rating because the past SEVERAL times I got pho, they put only two small pieces of tofu in the whole bowl! I don't know why they cut back so much but tofu is cheap. I should be getting at least half a block with my order. Are they also giving only two pieces of protein in meat bowls? They also have drastically cut back on their portions overall less noodles, veggies, woodear mushrooms, etc. Thus, I don't feel it is a good value for money anymore. Sprig and Sprout, why are you guys cutting back your portions so much? I'm getting half the amount I used to get. Veggie pho is not expensive to make.

Phở 14: what do users think?

Micah Cohen: Very, very lucky to live near this place. I walk outside and it smells amazing. If I’m particularly hungry at lunch time I’ll usually dash over here. The pho is the best in dc, I think. It’s cheap and delicious, the service is good. Definitely recommend.

Leo Reyes: I brought my family to Pho 14 on Connecticut Ave. Hoping to eat something good we had ordered 4 bowls of pho soup. This was honestly such a disappointment because while eating we found a roach inside of the soup. After speaking with one of the waiters he said he couldn’t do anything about it. I asked to speak to the manager, she was really rude, didn’t help make the situation any better while still making me have to pay for this DISGUSTING FOOD. This is obviously contaminated and not healthy nor safe. I’m 100% calling the health department to come check this dirty place out.

Ashley Rogers: I heard that these guys have wine Best Pho every year since 2013, so I thought "They just be doing something right." and I had to try it. I'm so glad I did! The food is awesome, service is great. The staff is very polite. I will definitely be returning.

Rajeev Agrawal: Great place to have authentic, tasty and healthy Vietnamese food. The vegetarian noodle soup and jack fruit smoothie are awesome!

Nihal Mirpuri: TLDR: Do not order the lemonade! Came to this place on a sleepy 2pm weekday, ordered a pork sandwich platter with beef broth and spring rolls, and a homemade lemonade. The service was excellent (for what it is), lady was nice and helpful and the food arrived quickly and efficiently. First the lemonade arrived, and oh my god it was SO SWEET. I thought maybe the syrup hadn't been stirred yet, but nope it was literally the sweetest drink I've ever had. Then the spring rolls came, they were average, it was a bit odd having a cherry on top. The beef broth and banh mi were also average, not super amazing, but it did the job on a cold winter afternoon. The floor is hard so acoustics can get bad, on the day that I was there the restaurant was at 53dB, which is quiet and easy to maintain a conversation without raising your voice though. Overall I would have enjoyed a meal here if I'm looking for somewhere quick in the neighborhood, but I wouldn't bring friends here or expect too much!

Pahel Brunis: Authentic Vietnamese food, as far as i can be a judge of that. Tasted good, good customer service, fast, professional, friendly.10/10👍🏿👍🏿

Cody Parker: I only ever get takeout. The food is very good. I especially love the crispy shredded tofu vermicelli but the veggie and flank steak pho are delicious too.

Gustav Lo: Delicious phoI ordered the number 1 with 3 meats and it was amazing. Good quality meats with rich smoky flavor. Got it on a rainy day and it just hit the spot, if you are looking for a great pho place. This is it

Sofia Martinez: Pho was delicious with great taste. Food was warm and didn’t take long to receive. The service was not the best. Food came out and we were never checked on. We never got asked what we wanted to drink besides the water initially provided and we never got a refill. Food was price accurately.

Andrew Harper: The pho #10 house special was delicious!

Banana Blossom Bistro: what do users think?

dwight onley: I am a long time, loyal customer. What I saw today may cause me to rethink that. One of your cooks was preparing food without wearing a mask. It gets worse. He then sneezes around the food he’s preparing. None of the other workers told this man to put on his mask. When I complained, one of the workers pretended to be unaware that the co-worker wasn’t following Covid guidelines. I love your food. I love your prices. This issue needs to be addressed.

Marianna Oykhman: Excellent pork Banh mi. Great cabbage salad, but I love cabbage all around. Very happy we have a decent Vietnamese spot at Union market!

Cami Rose: The bún was okay; the shrimp WAS cooked but it was a weird soft texture and the peanuts tasted expired. My card information also got stolen after paying here and someone went on a spending bender. :(

Sean Troxell: Great new addition to the small town feel of Riverdale Park's Town Center. This Vietnamese restaurant is set up similarly to Chipotle with counter service and open seating. The food is all prepared on site and the staff is very friendly, patient, and helpful. They were out of Bahn Mi when we were the Saturday evening, but that just means I have to go back. Shucks 😉 The Pho was delicious and the fresh ingredients blended together perfectly. They even have a kids menu. Highly recommend!

Jonathan Kirkendall: We've gone twice this week to the Banana Blossom Bistro - first, lunch on Friday, and it was so good that we returned for brunch on Sunday! I had the banh mi sandwich with lemongrass beef for lunch, and the porkchop with fried egg for brunch. Both were excellent. We've also enjoyed the Vietnamese iced coffee, the peach iced tea, and the limeade. The place is 100% heart. It's a fun atmosphere, the staff is cheerful and eager to help, and the food delicious. It's not at all your typical pho restaurant. It's a huge addition to the Riverdale neighborhood!

Joel Richardson: Great little Vietnamese spot. The Beef Pho is excellent. There is plenty of parking in the nearby area. The staff is friendly and helpful. Rapid service.

Xanh Tran: I love BBB. It's a taste of home. The broth is so flavorful and rich, without being too oily or salty. The eye round beef steak is always still rare when delivered to the table to be cooked in the soup as you dig in. Noodles are never soggy. Chic spot, homey atmosphere. If I ever come not in the mood for pho, I'll try the rice, but that's not likely.

Barbra Bearden: Fantastic, fresh food delivered neatly and without too much plastic cutlery. Loved every bite. Will definitely order again. Pork Bah Mai and crunchy fresh cabbage slaw was awesome. Spring rolls were the best I've ever had (literally). My husband got the Hanoi pho, enjoyed it too.

Dianne O: Delicious and authentic Vietnamese food that caters to various dietary needs. Flavorful and plant-based friendly too! Photos never lie
Response: Dianne, thanks for visiting! We’re so happy you enjoyed your meal! 😁

James Baldassano: Food is great but extremely skimpy on portions. I ordered extra beef for my banh mi and I swear there was like 4 pieces of meat that barely would have justified a normal order, let alone paying extra (~18 dollars!)

Sean Dougherty: The bahn mi with lemongrass chicken is tremendous, and it comes with a delicious veggie soup to catch all of the bread bits. Have also had the pho and is very good. They make a star anise tea here that might be the greatest chaser in all of DC.

Rachel B: Amazing Vietnamese restaurant with delicious food! This restaurant is super cozy and cute, with kind efficient service. We were SUPER satisfied with our meals - pho and a chicken fried rice for entrees and egg roll for appetizer. The egg roll was the biggest surprise - WOW that was good! The flavor was rich and complex. I love that they add the wood ear mushrooms, and topped with the sauce was phenomenal! We will definitely be back! Our only complaint was the kitchen is a bit dirty, and unfortunately we could see from our seat! Check out my IG @dcfoodlife for more food recs in the DC area!

Mel A. P.: The vegetarian Pho is really good! The root veggies added a nice touch to the soup. Only thing I wished is if it were hotter. But after 3 days of travel from Houston on Amtrak this was such a welcome meal. Service was nice and quick.

Andrew Kratochvil: I grew up in a place with a large Vietnamese community and the Bun Bo Hue here really hit home. The price and the quantity of food you get is beyond generous, and the service was fantastic. Have a hot bowl of noodles with a cold glass of beer and enjoy! :)

Nadja E. Solis: Ordered a pork chop with rice. Rice tasted like nothing and the pork was okay. My friends ordered the soup and said it tasted like perfume. Servers were not wearing masks. It might be my unsophisticated palette though.

Nghiep Khoan Duong: The lemongrass chicken bánh mì is a must-try! The phở was authentic and had a touch of the good old Northern style. Service was great and I enjoyed my time here. Would love to come back the next time I visit DC!

Chi Nguyen: The Lemongrass beef PHO was amazing, paired with the combo PHO for my friend was great. Eating dine in was quite the experience, it felt comfortable and welcoming. Last time delivery was good but not as great like today.

Marie Kirksey: Got the Pho Tai Nam (12) and my bf got the pho ga (11.50) along with a dalgona coffee (6) and everything was delicious! The female waitress was so kind and courteous. It had a cozy and intimate atmosphere and it was nice inside. Would recommend.

Juan Reynoso: Food is incredibly good! I’ve never tried Vietnamese before but I’m glad I chose Pho Viet for my first time. Highly recommended. This is going to be my new favorite place now!

Kris Otto (Kris Ngo): YOU MUST READ Old rice from the fridge, so hard. This place is going down. I tried to give it many chances by ordering different foods. But they always give me the old stuffs. Really bad. From Rice, to Bun they are always old. They always reheat foods from the fridge . Never again for this place. I will tell all my friends and people about this. I would give less than 1 star if I could.

Aramis Penland: Bun Bo Hue is one of my favorite soups. Though the portion size was quite large (see my pic), and the price point wasn't awful, the broth was overly watered down, the noodles were too thin (I like thick noodles with Bun Bo Hue), and the cha lua was too soft. Still, the soup wasn't awful, just average, and nowhere near the taste/quality of the lemongrass beef pho (the closest comparison I can find in DC) at Simply Banh Mi. Based on the soup alone, as well as the service (which was great, as the server was very friendly and attentive), I would have given Viet Chopsticks between a 3 and 4 rating. Unfortunately, the banh mi sandwich I got to-go was truly awful, bringing this rating down to a 2. The sandwich bread was barely cut in half, which meant the filling only occupied about 1/3 of the bread space. The bread also was dry and nothing about the filling was interesting and seemed sloppily put together. Growing up in a half Vietnamese family, I'm pretty particular about my Vietnamese food, and I can undoubtedly say this was one of the worst banh mi sandwiches I have ever had.

Allo Cagps: Located in the corner of Connecticut and windom street in DC. It is one of new Vietnamese cuisine in DC. The place is quiet and good place to take your date. The menu is quite extensive if Vietnamese cuisine. Prices are affordable around $15- $20 ish range. The food serving is quite big and good presentation. Every dish come with rice. The place is clean and so is the bathroom. Overall is good place to eat and the decor is very enjoyable.

Coral Colón: Fast service. They had an extensive menu (not jus Pho). No complaints on food at all, everything was delicious. Prices were very reasonable.

lolive lolive: We tried several time the food there because we really like Vietnamese food, but the prices are too high for the quantity and/or quality of the food. It's $5.95 (before tax and tip) for two fried spring rolls, and $5.95 for two teeny-tiny spring rolls. Last but not least, $13.95 for the chicken fried rice, but the rice is not fried and they use frozen vegetables (they still had the spongy texture, kind of watery inside).

k g: My Wife and I live in the area and have been trying new restaurants! We love the different options to choose from so we’ve set to visit a new eatery each week! Unfortunately we’ve been experiencing harsh responses from quite a few. But we are optimistic and keep trying! I was surprised to be denied the ability to dine in last week considering the place didn’t close for at least another hour! I called the next day to inquire about the dining in closing time and to my surprise they started take out at 9:45pm! We got there at 9:00pm! We decided to order take out and spent $45 on an order of fried rice and two orders of fried shrimp. The food was terrible and I was so upset because I’ve eaten here before so the comparison of the two meals were totally different and it’s despicable!! This place needs to be evaluated immediately. And to the staff of this place, You have no idea who’s visted your restaurant!

H D: Excellent food and service. Loved the iced coffee and Mi Bo Kho (Vietnamese beef stew).

Edward H: I thought the food was very good. The goi cuon was tasty and fresh, wrapped perfectly. The ca kho to was amazing to my tastebuds. The flavors were great and the fish was cooked just right. We also had the sour fish soup amd it was great too.

YOUNG-i The GOD: Great food and pretty good service. I had the curry vegetable but I asked for no cauliflower. Cauliflower doesn’t have many nutrients and I don’t like the taste either. I also had the shrimp roll and the peanut sauce was pretty good. At first I didn’t think that combo would work but surprisingly it did. Really authentic food, I did enjoy.

Lesley Shneier: I'm sad to say that this restaurant wasn't worth going to. It has a huge menu so perhaps are overstretched.

Phở 88 Noodles & Grill: what do users think?

Josh Roberts: I ate here recently when I was between two gigs in the area and needed to grab lunch. I ordered a lot since I was hungry, but wound up taking most of the Thai fried rice home. Overall, the food is very good quality, but I found the service to be lackluster. The waiter seemed disinterested in being there. The other negative were the prices. It's in DC, so you have to take that into consideration, but I still think that the prices are a little high for what you're actually getting. Having said that, my meal was great. The dumplings were fresh and moist, with a soft and chewy interior. The boba tea had just the right amount of sweetness and the taro flavor was on point. One slight criticism is that I wish they hadn't served it with ice cubes, since they prevented me from eating some of the tapioca bubbles. Moving on, the Thai fried rice was delicious, and a more than ample portion size.

Ethan Cox: We got the grilled beef vermicelli bowl, beef fried rice, ginger pork buns and summer rolls. Luke warm water, didn’t give us knives and the flavor is alright however, Definitely not the best. Fried rice was greasier than it needed to be. Wait staff not accommodating.

pelumi olaleye: First time visiting. Went on a Saturday afternoon. It was not busy at all and we were immediately seated. Customer service was good and the food came out fast. The shrimp wrap and pho were mediocre at best. I will not return.

Tien Pham: Ordered the spicy noodle soup and it tasted extremely bland. Asked for a little bit more fish sauce and chili oil to make it taste better. They gave me the receipt and I found out they charge me extra. I’ve never been to any Asian place that charge me extra for sauce so I told the waiter that they didn’t even tell me ahead that they charge extra for sauce. And if they actually flavor the soup right I wouldn’t need to put sauce. And he said in a rude tone that they flavored it so I didn’t need to. Terrible food and service for its price. This place is catered to Americans so the flavor of the food is extremely off.

From Ashes to Flowers: Holy cow. Delicious. Very fragrant broth. I mean, so delicious. If I had a complaint to give, it would be that the crab rangoon we ordered was mostly cream cheese. I think I found like one tiny nugget of crab inside, but I would hardly call that an issue, the main dish was absolutely fantastic.

Myleah Lofland: The broth here was rich and flavorful. Though it came at a higher than average price for the dish, I enjoyed it thoroughly. This is definitely one of the best bowls of pho I've had in the DMV area. The atmosphere was quiet and the space was quite small, but I enjoyed the lunch I had there.

Eva Milstein-Touesnard: This was SO SO SO YUMMYYYYYYY. I would totally recommend. Couldn’t stop thinking about it after I ate it. I was craving what I had for like a week after (vermicelli)😂

Hilda Kroll: I've been coming here for years and always order my favorite, the Grilled Pork Vermicelli Bowl and Thai iced tea. Everyone else in the restaurant was enjoying their Pho.

Karen Walton: I checked into the hotel across the street and the idea of pho appealed to me. I saw the restaurant and decided to check it out. I ordered the Vietnamese barbecue pork and shrimp pho and it was absolutely delicious! The service was professional and friendly. This place was just added to my must visit restaurants when I come for a Caps game.

Mischa: Nice place to have a Banh mi sandwich and Vietnamese iced coffee. I had the steamed pork Banh mi myself. The carrots in the Banh mi sandwich were too sweet in my opinion, or one of the other toppings (not sure what they used to make it sweet), but it was good overall…

Noodles On 11: what do users think?

Abi Maghamfar: Stopped by for late lunch. Ordered Edamame, Green Curry Chicken with rice, Roasted Pork Rice Noodle soup and Sticky Rice with Mango. The green curry sauce was one of the best I've ever had and the chicken was tender. The roasted pork soup and the sticky rice mango were delicious as well. Service was friendly and proficient. The reason for 4 star vs 5 is because of the interior atmosphere, which is in need of of some tlc such as repair & paint the water damaged window sill.

Joshua C: Ordered soy sauce chicken with rice, red curry, pho chin and HK duck noodles, and spring roll for $70. The not-so-good: the chicken is dry, the sauce is a far cry from what you’d find in Hong Kong or a Southeast Asian place; the duck noodles were stuck together in a giant unappetizing blob; the pho had very dry beef and mild flavor. The good: the red curry was decent, and the duck noodle soup was quite good.

April Hammet: Staying around the corner at the Hyatt. Dishes were tasty, weren't quite as abundant as pictured. Menu was easy to follow. Wine and beer were more reasonable than the neighboring restaurants.

Jennifer C: Had lunch here and it was amazing! We ordered shrimp spring rolls, green chicken curry, and pho tai. It all had great flavor and the portions were big! We also ordered hot tea - so good! If we were residents of DC we would be here at least once a week. Yum!!

chris mason: I rarely feel compelled to leave a review, but after having lunch at Noodles on 11 on a Saturday, I did feel the need to share my experience. The service was fantastic and the food was even better. We were so pleased with our experience that we came back the same weekend and the server even recognized us. My biggest regret is that we aren’t local to DC so we can’t become regulars for this location.

Jinji Pang: Definitely a good restaurant! Had Suki twice and all tasted good! I will come more!

Kelly Tu: Perfect. Meat size is a little bit small. pho tastes mild. But overall it’s good.

Shu Wen: I ordered wonton and there are literally only six wontons inside. For 15.95 bucks this is by far the most expensive wonton I have ever had in my life. And the waitress confirmed this is what they provide. And the wontons are small as well. Look at the picture yourself.

Bao Tran (Bao): The place was nice and clean. The service was great. I ordered a bowl of chicken pho and Thai tea. The soup was well seasoned but the pho flavor was not quite there yet. The Thai tea was a bit light but tasted good, not too sweet. Overall, I enjoyed it.

Amber B.: The restaurant was clean and pretty busy. The Pho Ga (Chicken Pho) was a smaller portion but pretty good. We would have liked more add-ins (bean sprouts, Thai basil, lime wedges and jalapeños) but the waitress didn’t come back until we we’re almost finished eating. I would go back next time I’m in town.

Bar and Lounge 54: what do users think?

Pete P: The first great Pho we have had in about two years! We haven't found any near us so on a visit to DC for our corporate holiday party we found this place on Google with good ratings. I have to agree with other customers, this reamstaurant is an unassuming gem! Great food with a very friendly and efficient service, will definitely be back next time in town.

Hilda Kroll: The lunch special is a real bargain. The Pho or Vermicelli Bowls are $15 and the Banh Mi only $13, including Spring Roll (chicken or veggie) and non-alcoholic beverage. The Pork Vermicelli Bowl was delicious, with lots of grilled pork. It's busy at lunchtime, but I didn't have to wait for a table. I want to try everything on the menu.

Yujia Sun: Very friendly staff! The lychee martini was excellent - I would highly recommend. The new happy hour drink prices are $6.50, but it's still a great deal. The pho 54 was incredible - the slices of meat was delicious and the broth taste.

Tony Tran: menu is strong good authentic options / fun cute atmosphere/ good wine menu Duckhorn chardonnay is a big hit to see on menu - will return on next business visit - pho 54 special broth is very tasty authentic! love it / returned and pho 54 dish hit the spot authentic taste and summer spring rolls too love it! Staff, manager or owner need to be more attentive of customers already there - was waiting for another glass of wine - no one looked at my table or see if a refill is necessary - service is a restaurants key along with good food. 6.18.22 back for more in town and calamari salt paper garlic flavor is excellent! must try great taste dishes i have eaten and will be back for more

Adriana Rakshana: The pho (pho 54) is always great. Tried out the Bahn mi this time and it was pretty good too. If it's your first time here, definitely try out the pho!

Stevie Clemens: This place has the best pho in DC! The beef broth is unbelievably good. It’s so flavorful and comforting. I tend to gravitate towards vegetarian dishes, but the broth is so good I always ask for the beef broth with veggies instead of meat. The staff is always kind which is a bonus. Can’t recommend it enough!

James Clyde: Top Rated!!!My Iron Lotus, it is!?! (Blades of Glory) I mean it’s not bad, Not bad at all. But uninspired. So far anyway. I’ll have to come back and try another Chefs Specialty to see if I missed something. I didn’t get too exotic and ordered chicken. Might have been better to go further and seek something more profound. And the service is okay, friendly and pleasant, but I feel like either I’m too old to be here or maybe it’s something else… anyway I digress. Prices aren’t obscured or great value. This is D.C., where everything’s for sale, not on sale.
Response: Hi James! Thank you for your review. Not sure what “iron lotus” is but “good” food and “friendly and pleasant” service sounds great to me. Glad you enjoyed your time, come visit us again soon!

Wil Snodgrass: Outstanding Vietnamese! My go to vermicelli has pork, chicken, beef... the freshness of vegetables and flavors are mouth watering. And you get a fried homemade spring roll on top to boot!
Response: Hi Wil, good choice with the 54 Vermicelli Bowl. Now you gotta come back and give everything else a try!

Michael Q: Absolutely one of the best restaurants to get your pho! Price is reasonable and foot quality is beyond expectations!

Shoeb Shaikh: Great place. Amazing food. I tried the pho ga and vermicelli bowl. Both were unique and extremely flavorful. The drinks are next level.. must try in DC!

Kenji Nagayoshi: I got Garden Rolls and Pho with beef. The roll was delicious. The pho was good, too. The flavor of the soup was superb. However, the noodles were disappointing, as they were too soft and bunched together. When I picked them up with chopsticks, they broke apart into short pieces, which was disappointing as noodles are one of the main parts of the dish. Nevertheless, overall it was good, and I would love to come back and try again. Very reasonably priced, too!

Valerie Laub: I’ve gotten pho to go here a few times and every time it is delicious! The broth has a great flavor and they give a lot of noodles and shredded chicken. The crispy spring rolls are delicious and the staff is very friendly. It’s a little pricy but definitely one of my new favorite pho spots in the area.

Ryan Leong: For the most part the taste of the food and quality is always good. It's the quantity I have a quarry with. The meat and noodle content with the pho orders are always a sufficient amount. But I've gotten the papaya grilled beef salad, and the amount of beef was definitely not worth the 12 dollars I paid. It was mostly all just vegetables. I ordered from there today with some co-workers and he got the penang beef lunch box. My coworker said he legit got 5 small pieces of beef. Has anyone else has problems with their portions of certain items?
Response: Thank you for your support

Michael: Great Pho! Love the extra noodles option. Great atmosphere. Very clean! Take out is easy and fast. Highly recommend trying this place out.

Patti Dybdahl: Great food & awesome service. Ate lunch here the other day. Great selection on the menu. I love vermicelli bowls and have been looking for a favorite place to have one. This is my top place for now. The rice noodles are a little thicker than I like but it was still really good. I had the lemon grass beef (pictured with no nuts). The meat was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. Two people had the bento box lunch. They were both pleased. We also had the fried tofu which was pretty good. i would eat here again if in the mood for Thai.

Allan Gadia: This is a great place for Vietnamese food. My lunch spot for asian food. The Pho portions are good and big. A small bowl of pho is more than enough for an average person. The vermicelli noodle bowls are also great. My favorite is the grilled pork. They are open for dine in and carryout. Service is great and fast.

Kamal C: So many things to mention, dumplings, beef and chicken Pho with tofu and vegetables, oh don't forget the CRISPY delicious spring rolls 😋 damn I sound fat lol 😆 If you enjoyed this review then please click The Follow or The LIKE 👍 button and keep a look out for upcoming photos.
Response: Thank you for your support. We appreciate it.

Rebecca Clement: We came here for pho and left very happy with our food. I really like the icy smoothies. And the spring rolls were very nice. I ordered the vegetarian option with a meat broth and it was very good. I especially loved that they gave me lots of veggies. The service was great here and the decorations were cute. I will likely come back here.
    Response: Thank you!

Khurram Hassan: Very nice Vietnamese restaurant in Pentagon City. I needed some Pho so I walked over from the Sheraton and enjoyed a delicious fresh Pho. All the ingredients were really fresh. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Lots of staff are there so there is no delay in getting served. There are lots of shops nearby so you can go shopping and then drop in for a nice meal. I do think they tried to add too many other types of dishes such as Korean or Chinese to the menu. Those were not as good as the Vietnamese dishes.
    Response: Thank you!

Tom Xiao: We had Vietnamese hot pot and Vietnam Grill. Very cool and unique experience! The grill comes with rice paper to use as a roll. Awesome!
    Response: Thank you!

Moon Rabbit DC: what do users think?

Monica R S: I love the warm and elegant ambiance of this restaurant. The food is great. The fried chicken is tasty (although it is on the sweeter side). The crawfish noodles are excellent. The egg rolls were okay, nothing special about them. We were a group of 4 and shared 2 mains and 1 app as we were not too hungry and walked away pretty satisfied! I had the tequila cocktail and it was delicious! Not too strong and pretty fruity. I will come again!

Dondré: The venue is top notch. The sky lights, the views and all the glass is amazing. They have the ability to open the glass doors all the way so that you're essentially outside. The service was great and the food was great. Next time I go back I'm going to try the pork for sure. The red snapper dish is fantastic. Definitely a good place to try out.

Kira: This is a super late review, but this restaurant is amazing so I had to show support. I came here to celebrate my birthday with several friends. They put us in a more private section to accommodate our party, the ambiance of the area was very nice. Our server was kind, funny, and knew the menu well. We even got the bartender and head chef to stop by and say hello. Most of the dishes were designed for sharing and were perfect, the drink options were very good especially for my friends that don't drink. The restaurant was kind enough to send out complimentary desserts. I will definitely go back. Thank you for making my birthday dinner memorable.

Arnold: One of the few upscale Asian restaurants at the wharf. Great views of the river with indoor and outdoor seating. The food was delicious!! Unique dishes and everything tasted fresh. We had the mixed grill platter which had a variety of meats, shrimp and some veggies. Definitely a great date night spot right by the water. Outdoor seating available

Abby Fasehun: I was here for my Birthday dinner and couldn’t be more thankful for a perfect place to celebrate my birthday. Had a little problem locating the restaurant; had no idea the restaurant is inside the hotel. But… The ambiance was great, the food was inexpensive. And oh the shrimp is (photo attached) is a must!!! Waiter was very helpful and patient with helping us navigate the menu. Overall loved my experience and can’t wait to come back!

Steve Perry: So I got to try this place as somewhat of a surprise visit. And what a great surprise it was. This place in my opinion rates a Michelin star! I would drive a long distance to eat here. And I am not kidding! Service a 10! Food a 10 plus! Drinks were amazing’ Just everything I tried was amazing! And we tried almost the entire menu! It was just one wow after another wow! If you like your food a little Spivey you will love it. If you like bland this is not your place! If you want a great night with your palette tickled over and over you need to eat here!

Rob: The shrimp and fried chicken are a must! Everyone on the team enjoyed the food and cocktails. Service was 10/10 and it was easy to make a large group reservation (thanks to Emily and Satoko). Echoing some other reviews, it seems like the decor hasn’t changed significantly from the previous restaurant. Would have loved to see more SE Asian inspired decor.

Onyinyechi A: valentine's day reservations were surprisingly quite difficult to get however we made it. this restaurant is a-la-card and also more family-style shareable plates. had the half chicken, shrimp appetizer and pork. everything was delicious. didn't touch the pre picked meal for Valentine's day although those options also looked good.

Hanna Ozbeki: i really enjoyed the ambiance and food from moon rabbit! i have been meaning to try this place out for so long!! the service, drinks and food were all amazing! shrimp apps were great - they don’t lie when they say it’s one of the best items on the menu the fried chicken - it was good but not amazing, it wasn’t that spicy sadly!! noodles - top notch!! the only thing that’s as upsetting was that all our food came out at once and very quickly so it caused our chicken and noodles to be cold by the time we started eating them but i still highly recommend this place and go again!!

Lia Burrell: The food and service was excellent, the wine list was great and featured old school and new school style wines.. however it doesn’t seem like the interior has changed since kith n kin. It’s probably the hotel group that limits them from changing it. Corporate needs to loosen the grip! It’s the wharf! Let them have some personality!

Oceanie De Silva: Found this Vietnamese place by random when we were visiting the Wheaton Costco and got hungry! Love the food and amazing taste! Everything we had was very good

Ray Moreno: I enjoy the Pho, Vietnamese iced Coffee & pork bun. Staff are friendly and fast. I order carry out often. All the food is authentic and tasty.

Yingxi Rona Shi: This is the second time I ordered from here. All drawn by the high rating. First time was many years ago, I don't have very strong impression of this place from first visit and near by there are many vietnamese restaurant. But I decided to try again. This time I ordered pho P2 and fried wide rice noodle with beef. Pho is ok, portion is not too big. Fired rice noodle with beef is a fail. Beef is too tough to chew and it is way too much sauce. But the problem is after the dinner we all get very thirsty, dictating too much MSG added. Will not order pho here again. But the good surprise is the meat buns that sales at front desk. The outside of bun is fluffy and sweet ( probably added sugar to the dough, but it taste good) the inside is minced pork with a little vege, half hard boiled egg and a chunk of sausage. Pretty good for people who does not like meat buns with soy sauce.

Lu C: I have been eating at this restaurant for almost 7 years. The food has been consistently good and reasonably priced. The grilled pork, grilled beef, lemongrass chicken, and fried Maryland chicken dishes are all top notch foods that has never failed me. My only minor complaints are one of their soups is far too sweet, and their desserts seem to always be out (fried ice cream was never in stock and they eventually got rid of it, and the tribean dessert is always gone).

Frank Hong: Been here a few times. Not many Viet restaurants in the area so I can confidently say this one is the best in the area. I typically get the pork chops over rice but got the R1 which was the red fried chicken. It was good. Food came out fast and the kids loved the pho (meat ball in the image). They even drank the soup without anything added into it. The other soup noodle has a lot of flavor and different meat in the soup (also slightly spicy)

Seth Troy: Solid food at reasonable prices. We've always enjoyed the food and never had any problems. The reason we go is because it's the most convenient place for Pho, not because the food, service or ambiance is something to get excited about.

Eric Kim: Got a pho p1, banh mi, and summer roll and man this is one of the best Vietnamese restaurants I’ve ever been to. Broth is clean and so savory. Not overtly seasoned, just perfect. Banh mi was really good, just wish it was a little more competitive in pricing, but I can’t complain since it was also one of the best I’ve had. Will definitely be back again!

Kadian Baxter: This has to be my favorite restaurant in the area. I always get either the Crispy Maryland Chicken or the Pho La Cay. The sauce that comes with the Maryland Chicken is sooo good. They make it themselves and I wish they sold it by the bottle. The way that they pack the Pho for a to go order is perfect and the ingredients are always so fresh. I’ll be moving from this area in a couple of weeks and I know it’ll be hard to find a replacement for this restaurant. 10/10 would highly recommend.

Wai Man: Good dining experience overall. Service was good, food was good.

Kar En: Oh wow! This place is sooooo good!!! The Maryland chicken rice dish was a WOW! The skin on the chicken is so crispy, it's almost unbelievable. We also had their bahn mi was reasonably priced and very good as well. The only thing is I wished the chicken pho was hotter. But ya, overall, super delicious 👍👍
