Na' Guara con Sabor Venezolano: what do users think?

Emily Markle: Bought 3 arepas at their stand at the Van Ness famers market and had to come right online to post - they were the best I'd ever had! Truly delicious.

Elvis Enrique Aponte Urbina: Thank you so very much for the fabulous job you did for our Venezuelan party. The food was fantastic and the service, set up was professional. Our guests are still raving about the wonderful evening. Thank you for all of your hard work and fantastic meal.
Response: thank you!!!! for trusting us to be present at your special celebration !!!!

Melissa Escorihuela: Best Venezuelan food in town! If you are in DMV area you must treat yourself with their delicious food! Dayana is so so kind! Their food have been twice the sensation in my son’s birthday parties, and often my son’s breakfast/lunch’s for school ;) he loves it!

Virginia-Marie Roure: This is a lovely family business, they greet everyone with a huge smile and enthusiasm. They’ve served as a great introduction to Venezuelan cuisine for my family and are always happy to educate. Get on their Instagram so you know what deliciousness to expect on their every changing offerings. And if you see cachapas, do not miss! Sweet and savory goodness.
Response: Thank you for supporting us!!! this motivates us to keep going

Naomi Kumar: Such delicious and unique toppings! Dayana is a sweetheart. Really enjoyed this fresh take on the traditional hot dog!

Brighid Coleman: This place never fails to disappoint! The flavors are unmatched and the people are always so welcoming and kind! I come here every Saturday to try what they have at the UDC farmers market and it’s the highlight of my weekend!
Response: Thank you for supporting us!!! this motivates us to keep going

Eli Starr: They’re so good! If you’ve ever been to arepazone, their cachapas are just as good as those with about similar prices but you know the money is going directly into the pockets of hard working people.
Response: Thanks you!!!

roo boo: Always something new and delicious to try. I look forward to getting food from here every weekend!
Response: Thank you for supporting us!!! this motivates us to keep going

Luis-and-Bill Macias-Townsend: Excellent arepas… it really feels like being at home in Venezuela 🇻🇪. Sweet and friendly staff.
Response: Thanks you!!!!!

Jose De Bastos: Excellent Venezuelan food. Perfect for all tastes!

Carol C: Cute place and great food! I got the patacon (12$) and a caramel macchiato (4.75$). They also had a whole bunch of Venezuelan snacks and drinks at the counter. I highly recommend this place!

Anakarenina Pérez: Amazing place! I love the food, it's like taking a quick trip to Venezuela, and all the memories come back like it was yesterday!
Response: Thanks for your kind review!

Jonathan Allen: I love them! Their food tastes authentic and is ready quickly. Staff is always very friendly. It reminds me of food I’d eat back home.

Victor Wang: Went with the mini arepa flight trio. Got to try the chicken, pork, and beef options. Quite delicious and a little more variety than one larger arepa. Also ordered the Tequeños Queso Fritos Party which was a nice appetizer with the sauce and cheesy inside.

Steph D: This is a great restaurant to try out arepas with different fillings. I ordered the meat lovers flight mini arepa trio which included Chicken & Avocado, Shredded Beef and Shredded Chicken arepas. The arepas look really small so you think it's but going to be very filling but the arepas are stuffed to the max so I was very full after having the 3 small arepas The Shredded Chicken and Shredded Beef arepas were by favourite. The Shredded Chicken & Avocado was ok but if I had a choice I wouldn't order that one again.
Response: Thanks, Steph!

Carlos Perez: ArepaZone is a great place, great authentic Venezuelan food, clean space and fairly priced. The cachapas con Queso are CRAZY GOOD

Chetan Katakia: This place is great. The portion size was good. However the flavors were top notch. I had ordered the mini arepa trios and wasn't disappointed. The desert was also fantastic. This had anise, so if you're not a favor of licorice, you might not enjoy it. All in all I had a great time and the food was so good, I'll be back.

udoy datta: Awesome food! We really enjoyed the authentic taste of South American food.
Response: Thanks so much for your review!

Patrick O'Leary: OMG just leave me here to eat, go on without me.Arepa Zone also have a food truck, I just want to live closerThe cheese, plantains, meats are to die for

Darragh Joyce: Great spot adored by locals. This spot was targeted by groups of nazis from West Virginia who left unfair 1 star reviews for asking them to wear masks. This location has been a staple in the community for years and is adored by residents of DC. Great food, great staff, and convenient location just south of Thomas Circle. Great place to go to cure your hangover too! ;)
Response: Thanks Darragh! Your review made us chuckle. We're glad we've been able to cure your hangovers - haha!

Ister Morales: Authentic Venezuelan food. The service is amazing and if you want to try Venezuelan empanadas, don't miss them every Saturday! Best little place in Fairfax!
Response: (Translated by Google) Thanks for your review, Ister! (Original) Thanks for your review, Ister!

mrang100: Delicious, typical food from Venezuela. For large orders you have to pre-order. A little difficult to find but it was worth it!
Response: Thank you very much, Mrang100!

Juan Ortiz: I just discovered this little jewel in fairfax after 2 years in VA. Great empanadas, cachapas, tequeños and arepas with authentic Venezuelan flavor. I wish they had more locations like this around DC Metro area 😪

Jennifer Moreno: Hey, I am mexican salvadorean but very open to new flavors and new experiences. I LOVED their Venezuelan food. The cachapas and patacones are superb. They sell the everything you need to make cachapas at home. I took some home and made them for my family and they loved it. I also took a pabellon for my children to have for dinner and it can't fail, simple rice, beans, fried plantain and the meat dish of your choice. You want to try something different try this Venezuelan street food.

Adriana Gonzalez: Love my venezuelan food! Food is mouth watering, service is fast and nice. Wish they had a bigger place.

Danielena Viera: This place is not only cozy in a rustic way, their owners really make you feel valued and very well served. It's a great environment, the food (Venezuelan) is super well made. You get the good service, the nice treatment, complete portions full of flavor... I wish I could come here more often but I live in DC. Butt... Bug surprise, finally around October - November they will be in DC 14th st with L st I believe.... For me that's very good news..

Nathan Dally: What a standup company in such a time of crisis👋 The Outreach to our community is the foundation of this company🤗 A taste of home from so far away. Everything here is authentically Venezuelan. There is attention to every flavor and freshness of ingredients.

David Martiniuk: Great to have authentic Venezuelan food in the DC area. The owners are great people!
Response: Thank you very much for your review David. We appreciate it!

Eimar Jesus Cardenas Torres: Good merchandise but the service is very bad, not very friendly. I feel ashamed as a Venezuelan citizen to make such a long trip to buy and to be received with little or no hospitality.

Eddy Aparicio: My wife (Brasilera) and I (Colombiano) ate here in late 2019. I had the shredded beef arepa and she had the queso fresco arepa. We really liked it. Warning they can be greasy so if worried about pimples...and do grab some napkins to dab. We dined in but only seats a few so may want to just grab take-out. We have not had a chance to eat from Arepazone but have heard good things.

Bethsabe Alvarez: Place: Very nice and clean, located inside La Cosecha market. Customer service: Good. Food: I ordered a Patacón Trío, tree tostones of fried plantain with beef, chicken and black beans. It was good. The other item was the Pepito, it could be better, the bread wasn't the expected, and beef as well. Drinks, cane sugar and lemon was good. They have other snacks and drinks. The way the food is served is very good. Price: Fair. Patacón Trío $10, Pepito $13. At the beginning I was thinking in 4 stars, but the whole place is very special. As part of the Union Market, all the efforts for improve DC deserve 5 stars, thank you!

Andrea Betances: The empanadas are freshly fried and a pretty decent size. I ordered the cheese one which was simple and delicious and a beef one. I was not that impressed with the beef one but the sauce on the side helps. I would come back again to try different menu items

Nate B: We really enjoyed this place. The empanadas are very good. Staff is friendly. I would definitely recommend this place.

Dani Delgado: The food was authentically delicious and deliciously authentic! We tried every kind of empanada and they were all great, the ajillo sauce totally transported me back to Las Mercedes in Caracas and my mom is now addicted to the golfeados! The customer service was also really great, a quality that cannot be overlooked these days. They also carry classic Venezuelan and other Latin treats (like pirulin and ovomaltina)!

Guillermo Alvarez: This arepa restaurant is awesome. I am Hispanic and I have never tasted such a flavorful shredded meat outside of my house. So I congratulated the guys working that day for such a nice job. My arepa was delicious. My wife ordered empanadas. Delicious as well. I will come back to this place and La Cosecha every time I can to give myself a feast.

dilianna bustillos: The empanadas are a must! This place is delicious z just like all the other Arepa Zone locations in DC. I miss it so much now that we moved to Colorado! You've gotta try them!

Cristela B: The food here is so good! You can never go wrong eating here. The pricing is perfect! The area seating and everything is so nice. The platano y queso arepas are worth trying:) #Withmygirls
Response: Thank you so much for your review! We're glad you enjoyed your visit to La Cosecha and we hope to see you again soon.

Yinzú Nairouz: Go and try the Venezuelan Hot Dogs or the service of patacons. Simply spectacular! I would wish they offer cachapas in this location

Sebastian: First arepa I've had and the bun was delicious, crispy, with a generous amount of meat. At $10 with tax, pretty decent price given the ambience and all, just wish they gave a little more sauce than a tiny ~0.5-1 oz plastic container.

Sheldon Munns: The empanadas were on point! The arepas were delicious as always. A must try for Venezuelan food! Update: March 3 2022, They added a pabellion bowl which is awesome!

Arepas Pues: what do users think?

MB Official: The food was TERRIBLE tonight. 🤢 The first few times I came here it was pretty okay but the food was absolutely terrible tonight & the service has CONSISTENTLY been declining. I will not recommend any longer. The food looked & tasted like they just THREW IT together. I absolutely did NOT appreciate the service tonight. Prior to coming in I wanted to place an order over the phone to pick up & pay for upon arrival & was told that I have to give my credit card number over the phone. Who trusts giving their card over the phone? Not me. That's pure madness. I told the girl that I'd be coming in & I'd wanted my order prepared before my arrival. When I entered she whispered something to the only two women cooks present who looked at me & presented me with food that I (& my family) absolutely hated. I've patronized this business several times but it looks like they're no longer worth the investment from me or my family. The food tonight was bad.

Luisa Romaña: The services has changed a lot! Today I just got a picada and honestly it was 80% arepa and yuca and no to much meat. The arepa taste old. I don’t recommend the picada for a $19.08 you can see the picture

Natasha Shokouhi: We had been wanting to try this spot since their grand opening. Arepas Pues has such great reviews and high Yelp rating, so we were surprised to see that they were so dead on a Friday evening. Especially when all the restaurants in the area were packed. The restaurant is on the smaller side. The dining room isn't very big and it isn't an open layout. There are two small areas with some tables. Not the best layout for a restaurant. It feels a little stuffy and doesn't seem very handicap accessible. We had... Fried Egg Arepa Baked Chicken, Egg & Cheese Arepa Carne Asada Entrée Arroz con Pollo Everything was decent. We weren't impressed. The best things were probably the Arepas. The main entrées weren't as good as we expected. The presentation was great. Portions were very generous. Prices were reasonable for the portion sizes. Service was good but a tad slow, especially for being not busy. Another table was seated a good 10 minutes after us but got all their food before us. We don't plan on coming back. Nothing really screamed out to us.

Miguel Pacheco: Food is good just not a fan of the sausage and ground beef a little dry. Do we tip to get service? You don't know what to do with the dirty dishes at the end and they don't bother to take them from the table or tell you what to do with them (Comfusing) and no thank you nothing so service ain't great.

Eddy Sur: I am so sad about this place to know that it's going down hill ever since it started, it was customer service with table service and the food was fresher. As you can see in the pictures the chicken is dry it was 6:44pm when I got served and I asked when was the chicken made the server told me it was made 5pm this just let's me know that they aren't making many things fresh. They don't have dressings for salads ready. I am sad to say that this might be one of those places that will close soon. Since its losing a lot of the original origin of Colombian roots. It went from a quality service to serve yourself type of scenario this could have been a great restaurant with very promising future to even franchise out like arepa zone, and let's look at aroma cafe in Virginia its improved 10 times more than this place. I am sad to say that this will be the last time I will be coming here I would rather go to any other restaurant in the area for fresh food. Maybe this place should just stick to arepas and that is it. This is my honest review. You can definitely judge for yourself.

Alexandra & Jeremy: The food here is really good. Every once in awhile you get an arepa that's dry or doesn't have much flavor, but overall the combinations are excellent, and some of their other dishes are delicious too. The chicharron is yummy and decadent, the tostada with guacamole is tasty, the sweet corn arepa with salty cheese is awesome ( I mean, honestly we ordered it for our daughter, and we ate more than half of it ourselves), the Cubano sandwich is the real deal (no cold cuts here!) However, if you're in a hurry, don't bother. The service is extremely slow. They've also gotten my order wrong a couple times for carry out. So, if we were just rating on service, we'd give it one star, but because the food is so good and it's a nice little restaurant located in the heart of downtown Silver Spring, we give it 4!

Carolyn Frank: My friend and I enjoyed lunch here, as she had recently returned from a trip to Columbia. She drank an Agua Panela con limon, explained as hardened sugar cane juice made into a lemonade-like drink. I enjoyed a glass of guava juice watered down with water. We split an order of Tajadas, fried plantain slices, which were served piping hot and perfectly tender. Arepas are related to tortillas but are made from a finely ground precooked corn dough in Coumbia and Venezuela. She enjoyed an Arepas Pabelion, an Arepas split into a pocket filled with black beans, shredded beef and fried sweet plantain. I liked all of the four options in my mini Arepas tasting basket: chicken, shredded beef, roasted pork and avocado.

Alex Melgar: Pretty good arepas, i liked the Postobon. I liked the little items on display. Very quiet night

Paul Meirthew Jr: The place is small but all the food is big in flavor. Don't be put off by the size of this place! Just walk up to the counter ask for a menu, order your food have a seat wherever you can find one and enjoy. All the staff was extremely friendly and willing to help with any questions. The accept Cash and Credit.

W Chen: Portion is huge. Salad in the picture comes with fish entree. Plantain chips are thick, not greasy and crispy. Super delicious! Will definitely visit again.

The Royal: what do users think?

Jennifer Trent: Absolutely beautiful covered patio, with heaters if needed, and fantastic service. Easy to order and pay through their QR code, and the food was the best we’ve had in a long time. The steak, gnocchi, and rockfish were all absolutely excellent!

Meia Harris: The highlight of The Royal is certainly the ambiance. I loved the plants and decor- even the dinnerware was nice. There is no table service- rather you place your order online. It was simple enough, and the food came out relatively fast. The guava pastry was yummy. I would suggest ordering this to share as this might be too sweet for some to eat by themselves (I at least found it too sweet to eat the whole thing). I tried the Autumn Spice Latte. I really appreciate the barista's beautiful latte art! The latte was quite sweet as well but not overly so. I would also like to mention that the latte came in what appeared to be a standard 8 oz mug and was over $7. This seems way overpriced for a drink that's 2/3 milk. For my main I had the Eggs and Potatoes. This is one of the few options on the brunch menu for my fellow vegetarians. When it came to my table I was tantalized by the appearance of the plate, but disappointment ensued. I found the whole plate to be under seasoned. I could not taste or see any salt or pepper on the eggs. The potatoes were crispy but were also lacking flavor in the salt and pepper department. There were a couple slices of toast on the plate but it was nothing special. Even though I absolutely adore the interior of this space, a restaurant's main determining factor on whether I return is the food. And based on that, the likelihood of returning for a second visit is quite low. I really wanted to love the food and give this place a higher rating but alas..

Kayla N: I ordered the seared fish and the gnocchi, which were both AMAZING. The flavors, ingredients, every bite I had was so delicious. However, the only downside was the gnocchi was oversalted in my opinion. The decor, plants and design were a nice touch to the overall vibe of this restaurant. 2 notes to keep in mind as of writing this review: 1) There is no table service - you place your order online and the food will be delivered to you. 2) You will need proof of vaccination and ID to dine in.

Tina N: We got the lox tartine, sausage egg & cheese sandwich, and egg & chorizo arepa. Good flavors all around. Will have to try their pastries next time!

Lauren G: This was my first time at The Royal. It was a nice experience. The staff was really nice, the food was delicious, and it looks like they are working hard to keep everyone safe during these covid times. The only challenge we experienced was when they tried to make it easy for people to split the bill electronically. We couldn’t really figure it out, but it all worked out. We all just paid for our own meals on our own phones. I had the Lox Tartine and we shared the Guava Pastry. Both were really good!

Aracely Hernandez: Absolutely best, authentic Colombian cuisine I’ve had in a very long time!! The customer service reflects the incredibly tasty menu - perfect combination for an amazing dining experience. It was my first visit - and a very memorable one. I’ll be coming a lot more to try the entire menu. I highly recommend Royal! I’m just so impressed and thankful to the staff who were amazingly attentive!

David Robinson: The only challenge we experienced was when they tried to make it easy for people to split the bill electronically. We couldn’t really figure it out, but it all worked out. We all just paid for our own meals on our own phones.

Fernanda Lanzagorta: Great food and great portions. I loved the casual ambiance and the kindness of the people working there. For a Michelin star restaurant the portions are perfect. I’ll definitely come back to try more of their food.

Michael Cork: Incredible ambiance and the food is delicious. Brussels sprouts are 🔥🔥🔥. Keeli makes the best cocktails in town

Hamdi Maher: Their egg arepa was a great breakfast dish! The sauce it came with was also great, perfect amount of spice.

Julia's Empanadas: what do users think?

Allan Christopher Pin Drew: Cheap and cheerful shop with tasty empanadas. A few vegetarian options (thank you!) and pork/beef/chicken as well, including chorizo and some fun mixes.

Lou Costanza: Make sure you bring cash if you want to buy anything at this place. While they state they accept credit cards for purchases over $10, today was my second visit where they claim the credit card machine was down. Highly suspect… Anyway, the Chilean empanadas are very good here. I’d consider coming more often, but who carries cash these days? Solid 3 stars.

Adam Winstanley: Service was not so great! The person behind the counter was not very attentive. Even though the empanadas were good they were way over priced. $39 for six empanadas? Seriously? And I could not get a receipt because their “printer” was not working. The person behind the counter would not even separate the empanadas so I couldn’t tell which ones were which and I had to cut them open when I got home. Very inconvenient. I probably won’t be back here for a while.

Timothy David: Empanada heaven. We may have over done it with 7 BUT each empanada, hand rolled, is stuff with such unique ingredients that each one was amazing in its own way. Another great quick stop for a snack while venturing through DC.

Rose Croshier: A portable, delicious lunch for $6! Can’t beat it! Am wishing they’d get back to making salads though- Fresh greens would round out the meal.

Bill Robertson: Wow! Amazing empanadas! Tried 4 different flavors, and all were excellent: Saltena, Chilean, Turkey and Chorizo. The Saltena had green bell peppers which was not listed in the ingredients but did not overwhelm the flavor, which was excellent. The Chilean is the favorite empanada here, was recommended by the staff, and it did not disappoint. Not very spicy, but very flavorful, with a zest that will leave you wanting more. Cash only spot, but worth the trip to the ATM.

Stephen House: Very pretty looking pastries, but mostly empty and WAY overpriced. It was about 8pm. I got a pear almond pastry. There was almost no filling. Tasted kind of like almond extract but it was mostly dried up pastry dough. For $3 + tip, I was not impressed at all. I threw most of it away because I’m already fat and I don’t need to waste my daily calories on plain dough. Sorry, Julia. Maybe it was just an off day or something but I’ve had better empanadas at Taco Bell, for $1.

Scotty Leach: I smelled the place before I got there — you can smell the delicious scent of empanadas before you arrive. Once inside, the small shop draws you toward the empanadas lined up in their warming case, enticing you to get one (or more). I decided to get two for lunch, one Chilean (beef + veggies and spices) and one Salteña (curried chicken + olives, veggies, and egg). The Salteña was phenomenal. At $6 each, it’s slightly pricey, but worth it if you’re hungry and want something hand-made, tasty, and quick. The only thing I didn’t love was the $10 minimum for credit cards. That’s a pretty high minimum, and it means you have to get at least two empanadas if you didn’t bring a debit card or cash. The colorful art on the entrance is lovely and draws your eye, once you get close. Try Julia’s! Make sure to grab napkins :)

Sisi Koleva (siscenceto): Price: taste=4 starsI got guava and pear, almond and pear and one vegan one. All were tasty, but the guava one was especially good. My meat loving friends loved the Jamaican one and the spinach one

Hanna _: Go to spot in the dmv area for empanadas!! They are SO GOOD, especially the Jamaican and Chilean ones 🤤 There's a $10 minimum for credit cards but there is an atm inside the store (which is tiny) or you can just buy multiple empanadas (as u should) and FEAST They are also open very late on Saturdays and right near the dupont bars making it a great night out snack!

Arepas Capitol: what do users think?

Emilie K: Love this spot! I find the food very unique. It’s not common to find such a great restaurant with a great interesting menu! I recommend trying an empanada. I’ve had beef and chicken/avocado arepas a couple times now and they are always delicious.

Elleka Yost: So I just had a divine foodie experience here. Got the chicken empanada and some pabellon fried sandwich(?) platter with beef, black beans, fried plantains, and cheese... Omg it was so good. Their sauces and salsa are delicious. Staff was very friendly and recommended items to try, I am soooo coming back here again. Please give it a try!

Brian Bowen: Everything was so good. The empanadas were the best I have had. We got the chef’s special and had plenty of food to split between two people. The rice was the only thing that wasn’t great. I mean it wasn’t bad by any means, just not amazing. If your trying to decide if you want to give them a try, do it. Its worth it.

Henry Reyes: Food was good, customer service was not. Super rude waiter, refused to substitute one side for another to the table next to us with a simple “NO I CAN’T”. Replayed in Spanish to another table that evidently did not understand a word he was saying. Probably the owner who was in the kitchen had no idea how her customers were being treated. It’s sad that most of Venezuelan restaurants have this attitude.

Figueroa Esq: Love the owners response....Please see it... 2.5 judges....On the fence with this restaurant. I am used to a friend from Venezuela, Larry, who makes the most amazing Arepas so when i found this on Google I was very excited. But flavors were not close to Larry's. We had Arepas of: 1. Tuna 2. Reina Pepiada (chicken with Avocado) 3. Carne Mechada (shredded meat) The Reina and Mechada were salty (class action lawsuit for promoting hypertension...lol) The fried plantains were on the spot. The garlic sauce was also very different from other Venezuelan Restaurants. It was chunky pieces of garlic. So, why I'm on the fence? Only one server, she seemed stressed out so we felt not welcomed. It was a sensation of "why are you here?" feeling.. or "Come on order quickly...lets get this done." comment. She did do her job, but not once a smile, or a hope to see you back. To be fair, we observed into the kitchen and no one was smiling. So, I don't know if that is their business culture. The dessert, Flan Quesillo was right on. Would I go back? Hummm, I have to. Maybe we went when everyone was having a bad day... Well, we will keep you posted when we go back...
Response: Seriously racist customers like you should keep going to your BBQ places lol, do. Come we don’t need customers like you you criticize and you don’t know Venezuelan food, your comments has no place in our business.

James Taysom: This place is awesome. I had the chef special and it was delicious and so much food. It ended up being 3 meals and a great value with great taste.

ameera samman: First the cafe con leche is the best coffee I've ever had. Not too sweet not too bitter perfect amount of milk basically perfection and that goes to describe literally everything on the menu. I've come here multiple times and every time I discover something better than before. Must taste the tostones!! My new favorite, so many flavors in one bite 😋😋😋

Leeann Martin: I have to be honest, the black bean and cheese arepa I ate was very unremarkable. It was dry and didn't have much flavor. It definitely was not worth the 10 bucks I paid for it. I've made better arepas at home.

Jayda Brown: Very delicious food!! The chicken was seasoned perfectly , the mini arepas were so crispy and soft ! I loved everything about it.... the only downside was the tres leches. It tasted kinda old maybe it was frozen?? It was also very dry and small not worth it for 6.00 dollars .

Alexandra Orellana: Update: Hernan! The area is very relevant. You are not paying DC rents, you are in a deadbeat shopping center. Wink wink. The service is great, the food is okay, but the prices are very high for this area. I can get a pabellón arepa in DC — much more loaded than the ones here — for $10. It’s $5 more here. For 3 arepas takeout, it was like $50. Almost $6 for a juice.
Response: Thank you for your comment unfortunately the area has nothing to do with prices me Hernan the owner also a customer and other restaurant that I visit I can totally understand as a business owner how prices are going up you can notice that in gas prices and groceries stores, we pay rent, taxes employees ect ect hope if you ever plan to have a business the best of the best with sheep prices. 😉

Arepa Zone: what do users think?

Robert Stirrup: I got the Sifrina Arepa and the Original Tequeños, which came to a total of $19.47 after tax. In the arepa, the chicken-avocado mixture made up no more than 30% of the total filling, which stopped after the first layer of bites, the rest being shredded cheddar cheese that no doubt came out of a bulk produce bag (and was also cold). As for the tequeños, the queso blanco was still cold in the middle, and the only redeeming factor was the garlic butter that came with them. While I understand their marketing is primarily as 'street food,' if I'm paying restaurant prices I would expect it to at least be edible. Overpriced, Poor-Quality, will not be returning

Linden Yee: The mini arepas sampler was a win, especially the carne arepa and the cilantro crema.

Tim McDonald: Never having been here before, I tried the mini trio meat arepas. The carne, pollo and pernil. All very good. The carne was my favorite. The mango drink was delicious as well.

Alberto Lucini: Really slow. Poorly managed. They have a full grill but they only cook one order at a time. Like if you had one burger going on a full grill. Mind boggling. Pricy.

Josh Fallentine: Unique food with an astonishingly new taste. Loved every bite

Yinzú Nairouz: I love all their food. Their Salsa verde is delicious

Aditya Banerjee: Great Arepas!

Roberto A Silva Sanchez: Great Arepas!

Jomayra Soto: (Translated by Google) It's okay. It tastes good, although not all the selection was equally good. They treated us well. (Original) Está bien. Tiene buen sabor, aunque no toda la selección fue igual de buena. Nos atendieron bien.

Tortilla Café: what do users think?

Chris East: True hole in the wall. I can see why Guy F enjoyed this place. Ordered the empanana player and was not disappointed. My wife and two kids enjoyed the visit as well. The food came out hot and fresh even though it was near closing time. The setting inside was quaint and was great for my family. Easy to locate and was conveniently located next the marketplace. The service was also top notch. The staff were very friendly and clearly shows they enjoy what they do. My only opportunity is the need for a better selection of drinks, specifically tea. But that does not affect my 5 star rating!!!!

Critical Chris: A real DEAL on the Hill: one of the last of the affordable and satiating places to eat still left on the hill. One of the LAST still left in DC. Before the Hill gets even more bougie than it is now, make time to try this place, now, to get a taste of a blue collar meal that will fill you up for the rest of the day! Try the Salvadoran breakfast, or a side of the delicious sweet sautéed plantains, depicted in my photo, or the Mexican breakfast, a breakfast burrito with egg and crumbled chorizo, a seasoned sausage. As of April, 2022, this wonderful hidden treasure IS OPEN for dining inside, or on their patio seating out front, across from Eastern Market.

Bexx Hill: Stoners' be warned! I mean "DAMN" I have eaten a lot of papusas in my lifetime, but the papusa I just got from Tortilla Cafe is, by far, the best I've had. Not only is the food reasonably priced, it is overflowing with cheese and maxed out on flavor. It is definately a best kept secret. Many thanks to Rodrigo.

Christian Moon: They make their Pupusa platters very well in my opinion! Highly recommend this dish from there. My coworkers like their steak and cheese sub sandwiches too. If you're ever in the area, try them out! Just keep in mind they take 15-20 minutes to cook and prep your food

Marinne Hardy: This was the worst food I’ve ever tried to eat!!!! I was offered a replacement. I pass I never want to go there again!!!!!!!

Leavy Peretto: The food is so good. Authentic. It has all sorts of great foods to chose from and everything is done right. That's why they were on the food channel. This is a small spot but theres always room for dessert. The deserts are awesome too. The fresh made juice drinks are to die for and the service can be compared to being treated like family. This place is love.

A. Kobrina: We were starving when we stumbled into this little joint! They had vegetarian and dairy intolerant friendly options. The prices are super low for the area and the food was so darn good!!! I d highly recommend Mexican food deliciousness to any of my friends!!!

Todd Bissey THE BISSEY RE TEAM: Tortilla Cafe is one of the best kept secrets on Capitol Hill. The food, service & overall experience is always top notch. Mr. Canales and his daughter Catalina are always so friendly & welcoming. Such a great family & Capitol Hill staple. And the prices at Tortilla Cafe are extremely reasonable to boot! My favorite is the Cuban Sandwich with a side of their plantains. Delicious!

Blair Wriston: I really liked this place, but the last few times have been super disappointing. I used to always get their Salvadoran chicken sandwich, but lately the chicken and the sides have been absurdly over cooked - to the point of inedible. The plantains were really dry, and the chicken was very rubbery. Just feels like the quality is slipping a lot.

Bessie Ayala: Listen I am very picky about pupusas since I’m Salvadorian and it’s our National dish. I have tried many spots in the dmv and I have to say this is top tier when it comes to pupusas. It’s made just right and I’m obsessed. I’m so happy I found this spot so close to home. Friendly staff and speedy service. We only ordered pupusas but deff will be checking out the rest of the menu.

Seven Reasons: what do users think?

Meia Harris: I was overjoyed to find out they offer a vegetarian tasting menu option. Each course was delicious and beautifully presented. Dessert happened to be my favorite- it was refreshing, light, and not too sweet. The customer service was exceptional as well. I looked forward to dining here again!
Response: Thank you for visiting us! We are glad that you enjoyed it!

Jackie Ellis: This restaurant is definitely all about the experience. Each dish that arrives at your table is broken down and explained. Our waiter gave us a little history on the range of Latin countries that inspired each dish. The decor was very nice as well. It was also explained how the serving sizes ranged from small to large. They recommend 2-4 dishes per person, so beware and come prepared because this place is a little pricey.
Response: Thank you for visiting us!

Carmen R: Great food and awesome service! I opted for a la carte and felt satisfied after a drink, two courses and dessert. My table of four all ordered drinks, two or three courses, and dessert, and sampled each other's dishes. I scraped each dish, especially the pork belly, clean. We all had great things to say about their meal, but special shout out to the staff who were all pleasant and attentive. I'd love to come back and celebrate during another special occasion.
Response: Thank you for visiting us!

Lauran: We reserved the chef’s table to host clients and the entire experience was exceptional. The tasting menu consisted of 6 courses that were beautifully presented and we opted to add on the wine pairing for each course. The food was absolutely impeccable, and the level of service that we received was simply unmatched. The 7 Reason’s team were warm, attentive and pulled out every stop to make sure we had a top-notch experience. The Chef-Owner came out ahead of service to greet and thank us for dining with his team for the evening. They went above and beyond to accommodate food allergies and preferences, and even made sure to include different mocktails for me with each course since I don’t drink. Our clients kept asking how we found this place, and were blown away with the experience. 10 out 10 will return and would recommend. Thank you to the entire 7 Reasons team for making it easy for us to impress and entertain our clients!
Response: Thank you for such detailed review! We will be waiting for you!

Christine Whited: Amazing experience - great food, cocktails, and service! We tried the a la carte items and loved the arepas, scallops, halibut and short rib! Our favorite cocktails were the Bourbon Street and the Mule. Next time we are in DC, we plan on trying the chef’s tasting menu! Shout out to Miguel and Darwin for providing great recommendations & wonderful service! 😊
Response: We will be waiting for you at the Chef’s Table!

Zeyu Hu: Dining at seven reasons is an event. The menu is listed out in 4 different sections. The first two sections are more appetizer style, while the last two were your entree dishes. Every dish is served family style. We had 5 people dine together and thus was able to get 3 thing from each section which allowed us to try a wide variety of different dishes. Each section stood out in its own way, and all the flavors were different but worked so well as a whole. Some of my favorites included the crispy pork belly, the duck, the octopus, and the lobster black rice dish. The staff was super attentive to our every need and the food came out at a relaxing but steady pace. The restaurant also constantly changes their menu so would love to come back and try another menu!
Response: Thank you for visiting us! We hope to see you back soon for more Seven Reasons experiences

Christine S: I’ve been here a couple times, and the food is always spectacular. Service, however, is inconsistent. During my most recent visit, I sat around for nearly 20 minutes before someone asked about water. Past experiences are usually not like this - service is typically a well oiled machine. My 5-star rating is mainly about the food, since Seven Reasons remains as one of my most highly recommended restaurants in DC. The signature dish is the tartare de lomito! It’s available a la carte and on the tasting menu I’ve tried. The soy cured yolk with the tartare, caramelized sesame seeds, and plantain is nothing short of amazing! During the most recent visit, I tried items from the Carlos Garcia takeover. The soft shell crab mini arepas was a popular dish - it was alright. I loved the Chilean sea bass with bomba rice and the dessert of Dulce de leche foam, pink guava and passion fruit jelly, toasted milk. Before the pandemic, it was difficult to score reservations to this place. Come here soon and support great restaurants like these!
Response: Thank you for your feedback. We’ll keep improving to provide the best service.

byron subero: Birthday dinner complete. This is a very nice restaurant that serve contemporary Latin American plates. The drinks was delicious, refreshing and presentation was amazing. The food, the presentation and the service was amazing. They describe the food you're about to eat in such detail it makes the food for some odd reason taste better. FYI they can switch up the menu at any time.

Amanda Hu: Beautiful restaurant and amazingly creative dishes! My personal favorites that I always order are the scallops, pork belly, and octopus. The crudo was amazing as well. I love their creative drinks and their desserts are to Die for. Not too sweet and a perfect harmony of flavors. For an eclectic, beautifully presented dinner, come to seven reasons! My only advice is to go with the Ala Carter instead of chefs tasting menu. Also, the waiters always tend to push you to order a lot, but their portion sizes are generous. For 6 people, we ordered four appetizers (cauliflower, crudo, scallops, and pork bellu) two main dishes (duck and octopus), the paella, 2 rounds of drinks, and 3 desserts. We were extremely full despite the waiter telling us we should order another 4-5 dishes or we would leave "hungry". While I recommend you try many different dishes, don't go too crazy with the ordering or you'll be left with a hefty bill and lots of leftovers!
Response: Thank you!

Brian Copes: My date took me here for his birthday dinner and it was excellent in terms of food and service! Food - loved the scallop curry dish and the cauliflower soup shot dish. My third favorite dish was the hamachi tiradito dish. It was buttery and just plain good. I don’t drink so I enjoyed the mocktails as well. My favorite was the limonada personally with the ginger beer. Service- excellent service with food descriptions, silverware changes, checking in on you, offering best ways to eat the food, and just professional, warm and friendly. Fine dining without the stiffness. Vibe - nice music and great to sit at the chefs table watching the kitchen in action. Bathroom- clean and nice soap as well. Overall, this is a true foodie restaurant experience to enjoy. I would recommend this place!
Response: Thank you for your feedback! We are happy that you’ve enjoyed. You’re welcome anytime soon.

La Fonda Paisa: what do users think?

Suradee Thongkiattikul: If you want a simple breakfast fare at a local bodega, then this is it. This is a very unassuming place where the breakfast staple is the humble egg with some rice and beans and maybe chorizo on the side. We tried the cheese arepa and it was a bit dry, but their empanadas were pretty good (chicken and beef). You can browse the rest of the market while you wait for your food to be prepared, they have a fairly decent selection of snackage. The place is clean and the staff were friendly. We tried one of the dessert pastry and it was a bit stale, yet still surprisingly delicious.

Laura Alexandra: This place is the best! Great service, delicious food and it has a very large variety of products! I ordered buñuelos, Colombian tamales, hot chocolate, Mojarra Frita and one Picada. And everything tasted like home back in Colombia. They have potato chips chicken flavor, choclitos, Colombian coffee, corn flour and so many other Colombian products. They also have Colombian candies like frunas, barriletes, many kinds of bocadillo etc. I would return to this place for sure!

Stella Nino: This place has somehow good aceptable soups but the rest of the food is very low quality. I just want to let people know that this is not real Colombian food. Empanadas are re- heated, arepas are dried and hard to swallow, the chicharrón is also dry and tasteless. Very negative experience. The only redeeming quality of this place is the market inside whee you can find some different Colombian goodies.

iz the truth: Delicious authentic Colombian breakfast

Leslie Garcia: Please label your pastry so people can know which pastry to order. I waited in line and the pastry lady ignored me and continued to take the next customer because apparently I didn’t know what I wanted. How can I though? I’m not familiar with Colombian foods or pastry.

DAN D.: Nice Colombian market with great Colombian food and freshly made pastries. The aritopi, taco rolls, and empanadas are our personal favorites. The folks that work here are great!

Yinzú Nairouz: Good place to find Colombian food and products, and some general latinos products. Check the expiration date in the products before buying.

William Escalona: I love this store because I can find many products from my country, but have a variaetty of them...

Brandon Restrepo: I hadn’t had ‘bandeja paisa’ since my last trip to Medellín. Was craving it big time and I must say La Fonda Paisa exceeded my expectations! Their BP is pretty authentic, so obviously very delish. Do try it and make sure you’re hungry - they’re very generous with their portions!

Jose Guerrero: Nice little store with bread and Colombian products. Service is nice and food is good.

Toro Toro: what do users think?

Gina S: Stopped in for Happy Hour and was impressed with the quality, freshness, taste and presentation of the menu items ordered. Don't expect larger portions, but expect a good experience. Annnnnd, the mojitos were amazing.

Wisteria McNeil: Really great music. However, they said it was Colombian night, but I heard more bad bunny than I did Joe Arroyo. Not much cumbia either. Still great music and a fun time. Drinks are expensive, but it's downtown DC

Dondré: Solid brunch spot. They do offer a bottomless brunch special. The food was really good. Our waiter was nice, this place gets packed for brunch, they do have lots of seating though. It's well decorated and gives off very chill vibes.

Pascal Johnstone: We went to Toro Toro after our plans for dinner at another restaurant fell through, and we could not have been more impressed! Our starter, the guacamole served with tuna tartare, was unexpectedly satisfying and proved a good prelude to the main meal consisting of salmon and the signature burger. Both were excellent, and the burger in particular was reasonably priced for a sizeable portion. The salmon was also delicious. After our meal, the manager offered us free dessert as well as coupons for two free drinks and an appetiser at our next visit. We will definitely be back the next time we visit DC!

Zerena Volcy: Service was a little slow at first but we came at a busy time however the food (unlimited brunch service) was very good. I would recommend it to my friends. The host Pandu provided excellent service to guest and ourselves he was taking responsibilities that were not in his host job description. He is great every restaurant needs his energy and attitude.

The Social Diplomat: Toro Toro is a good spot for Latin Night on a Friday night. The crowd is balanced, the drinks are good, the DJ's are on point. Get here early, because the dance floor get's packed. For guys not used to dancing Latin music, take a class or you will suffer rejection by not knowing how to dance. Go to Bachata Brunch at Public Bar live for 3 weeks of Sunday lessons to build up confidence. The girl to guy ratio is decent except from Dec.-Feb, the crowd slows down. For my reviews follow on IG: _The.Social.Diplomat

Chela Williams: I visited this establishment for winter restaurant week in 2016. When we arrived business was kind of slow. Our waiter was nice and accommodating. Very informative with explaining the dishes to me and my mother. I'm used to tapa style restaurants.....She isn't. The food was different but very good! She usually doesn't be venture out so if she likes it you know it was good. She even brought it up about two weeks ago asking about the name. I believe I was full when I left. It's expensive but the food it worth it.

Hilda Kroll: A good place for a reasonably priced lunch. The first time I ate here there was a fabulous buffet. The last time, the special was unlimited tapas. Now the $20 lunch special includes one antojito and one salad or sandwich. I chose the braised short rib arepa and the Cubano sandwich. Located a couple of blocks from the National Museum for Women in the Arts and close to Metro Center, it's worth a visit.

Ap Queen: 4-11-19 My Best Friend and I Met up for Lunch and checked out Toro Toro. We ordered the Appetizers of both Empanadas De choclo & De Lomo Saltado, and the Tempura Mahi Mahi Tacos. As The Main Dishes we ordered the Pan Seared Grilled Atlantic Salmon with Arroz Chaufa (Fried rice with steak, chicken, chorizo) and Chili-Lime & Cotija French Fries. Everything was so Pretty displayed while being sat carefully on the table definitely ate with our eyes and amazed even from far away you noticed the colors. The Flavors were all in a flavor haven of their own no seasoning at all was needed. Not too salty or under salted, listen honeyyyy!!! restaurants can definitely take cue from Toro Toro with having the just right amount of seasonings it was so balanced to perfection. The Salmon was so tender my best friend even questioned what she was doing wrong when she makes salmon at home because it was so moist but still crisp and flakey. While everything was great !! Those Mahi Mahi Tacos with the Chipotle-Paprika Aoli was to Die for you listening Foodie ppl. The fish was meaty, the crisp from the tempura was still crisp even after sitting for a little bit. The Chipotle-Paprika Aoli was EVERYTHING!!! just enough kick =) such a excellent choice. If I was dying and I had to choose a last meal just give me a huge plate of those!! And a cherry coke extra cherries and I'd die Happy as hell lol. My Waitress was awesome she made me a sprite mixed with lemonade then we joked about adding Vodka tho since she seen my card beforehand. She kept my glass refilled, constantly checking the table to make sure we were Good. Lastly for dessert we had the La Bomba experience SoOo cool to watch!! Churros with chocolate soOo super soft and tres le ches everything split up. It was my Best friends first time at Toro Toro and she really enjoyed it and the Food Options fit her no meat palette so I was glad she was able to experience The Toro Toro way!! Lol ... We even set a plan to get together 2 times a month so we definitely will be back!!! Especially Meeee for those Mahi Mahi Tacos!! on the way out I told the manager don't ever get rid of those tacos no matter what. So THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE BEST EXPERIENCE.

Janay W: Cute place! Shout out to our server Edgar and bartender bae Matt at the bar! It was super busy as we went for Saturday brunch but the service and food was great! The drinks were amazing!! Bathrooms were cute and clean. The only meh experience was a very tall employee who dismissed me when I asked him to take a picture... MITA: what do users think?

Tael'r Eason: Enjoyed the brunch menu at MITA and craft cocktails. The portions are on the smaller side but the ingredients are high quality and create amazing memorable dishes. The menu changes often (in our case unexpectedly) but the atmosphere is very classy and intimate.

Dondré: MITA had an excellent tasting menu. Excellent flavors and textures throughout the different dishes. A great plant based menu. I'm pretty sure this is just a Pop up, but I like that it's very small and intimate. It's pretty cool that it's all glass in the middle of the market. The kitchen is open and right there which gives an inclusive feeling. The staff is very friendly and I had a good time.

dipika: Run, don't walk, to dine at Mita! Despite flirting with veganism I was skeptical about dinner here because they have a true plant-based focus rather than trying to serve up meat substitute and look alikes. But - this is a Top 5 meal in DC for me. The prix fixe with wine pairing is a great deal that lets you try most of their menu. Each dish brings its unique flavor and texture to the entire meal. I thought the watermelon crudo was one of the most inventive and delicious things I've ever eaten anywhere. Along with the wine pairings, the way they honor Latin cuisines and flavors is unlike anything else. I'm going to have to come back for the coconut ceviche which was not on that menu and looked delicious!
Response: thanks for coming in, we are so glad you had a great experience

Brittany K: I loved Mita's elevated, classy vegan tasting menu. The portions were excellent, flavors we're balanced, and I enjoyed the uniqueness in each dish. For the price point, it is definitely a date night spot or special occasion. As someone who eats whole foods plant based and vegan, I really enjoyed the meal!
Response: Thanks for the review Brittany

Douglas Forman: Been a vegan for 8 years and this is one of the best vegan restaurants we have been to, not only in the DC region but anywhere in the US. Every plate on the prix fixe was different from the others and the flavors blended is superb fashion. Bravo to Miguel and Tatiana for creating such a wonderful culinary experience. Looking forward to when they find their true home in our area .-VeganDoc

Dan Pye: Had the mother's day tasting menu and it was divine. Every single bite from every course was delicious, light, well balanced, and beautifully presented. This is a special occasion type of place and they made it truly special.

Lydia Neher: Wonderful experience and fantastic food! Each dish was more unique and delicious than the last. I look forward to seeing future menus. The location is also really well appointed and simple. We will be back!

Erik E: Tonight, I tried their tasting menu. I’ve now eaten at Mita twice. If you haven’t been yet, your life is incomplete and lacking fulfillment. You might think you’re happy, but Mita will bring your soul to the next level of enlightenment. I used to think that wizards were just in fairy tales and Harry Potter. I stand corrected. Whoever made this food is a wizard. Stop doing whatever it is you’re doing right now and get to Mita right away.

Chupacabra Latin Kitchen & Taqueria: what do users think?

Jmelle Harris: This place is under new management! Unfortunately, I had a generally unpleasant experience! I stopped past with about 6 months lapse between last visit and now. To start, the cashier seemed generally bored. She displayed irritation as I placed my order - I chucked it up to it being 4:40 PM and it not being the coolest day. The fish on the fish tacos is no longer baked but instead fried; an unhealthy alternative to what used to be a healthy quick choice. When I mentioned the difference, the chef/manager argues with me saying the fish couldn't have been grilled since the last owners didn't have a grill. I expressed that it may have been baked but certainly not fried. (He scoffs) The prices are noticably different with an additional $4 give or take added to each menu item compared to before. I'll pass 🤷🏽‍♀️ *Edit after meal and after review of previous response*: Your response is an testament to the services rendered. The community can decide. I changed my order because of the unexpected change in pricing. The interaction was definitely strained. :) As for the fried food that I accepted out of hunger, frustration, lack of additional energy to put into this, then(and generally still wanting to give my PREVIOUSLY favorite H ST taco place a chance), I enjoyed the tacos. They were quite delicious although not the healthier options that used to be presented under previous management. I am hopeful that you are able to consistently greet and entertain customers of future patronage as we undergo this obvious change in our neighborhood. It's only natural to mention the changes. Let's face it, even the tone in this response doesn't reflect the previous owners'. I'll continue to pass 🤷🏽‍♀️
Response: Jmelle, I'm sorry to see this review, but this review is completely inaccurate and unfair. You were greated nicely, given a menu to read, and then ordered. You then changed your mind 2 times on what you wanted and the bartender adjusted the order. You were the one that got irrated when I brought out your fish Tacos, and asked if you wanted salsa. I explained that they are fried and come with Chipotle Aoili, and some people like salsa as well. You then proceeded to tell me how things have changed and that "Normally you don't accept fried food, but you'll make an exception this time", and then left. I never scoffed at that comment but I did explain that the fish has always been friend becuase there is no over or grille to cook them on. You're comment was rude and demeaning to myself and my staff. The only person that scoffed or was irrated was you. My staff giving great customer service is important, but being a good customer is just as important. I'm sorry you didn't pay attention to the menu when you ordered. I would have been happy to make you something else but the manner in which you left didnt allow me or the bartneder to offer any help. Enjoy the fish tacos

Amanda Juncaj: Best birria tacos we’ve ever had! Great music playing and patio atmosphere was very chill. Service was excellent even though they were clearly short-staffed with only two people. Will definitely be back soon

Alexis Smith: This place used to be good but I guess they’re under new management/owners and it’s awful! The owner guy is extremely rude with a condescending attitude. I walked in and instead of the owner saying “hey sorry I can’t take your order right now, our internet is down” he points to the door and says leave. You can’t talk to your customers any type of way especially when they’re paying YOUR BILLS. The lady who I think is the manager has a wanna-be bully style of talking to her employees and customers. I’ve been here twice since they reopened and both times have been horrible. Some of the prices have doubled since reopening but went down in flavor. This place used to be a gem but now it’s a mediocre excuse for a restaurant. Might as well order Taco Bell with the way the food and service is here now.

thank you: So disappointed with this restaurant today I've been going to them for yrs !!! And the staff today was rude the older guy with the grey curls to be exact. He had a attitude each time I asked about items on the menu or something for our table. And I loved going to them because of there different spicy sauces and today the guy act as if he didn't know what I was talking about. Also I see they added cheese in my bowl which they usually don't put. You would think they would ask and see if you would like it inside not everyone eats dairy. And our drinks were weakkkk.

Jim Platner: Chupacabra has consistently great burritos and tacos, as well as excellent hot sauces. We frequently get their food for takeout and enjoy it thoroughly. While they were closed for a while recently we have seen they have opened back up!

Tiana E: We have been riding past this place for some time now saying that we would try it and we finally did. We were pleasantly greeted by Amber the bartender and our server and they don’t have indoor seating but glad the weather was perfect for the patio! She was energetic and enthusiastic about helping us the entire time and it was plus that her vibe was great and she was an Eagles fan! We ordered a frozen margarita (don’t waste your time on it) two margaritas (good) and the taco special 4 tacos and 2 beers for $20 we wanted the birria tacos but they were out. We settled for the barbacoa with some of the consume on the side - it was just MEHHH!!! The tacos were sitting in broth, which made them soggy, and kind of falling apart. They were packed with a good amount of meat - which was a plus and the consume wasn’t that flavorful but wasn’t horrible either. OVERALL: 4/5 Food: 7/10 Drinks: 8/10 Service: 10/10

Marisa Iannelli: In town for the weekend and came across this great spot for dinner! Food was delicious and was a great VIBE. Super friendly and hospitable staff. You can't leave without a margarita made by Jessica!

Alyssa Louise McCall: I cannot say enough about this place!! The food, the drinks, and the customer service are amazing! Thank you for showing our friend so much love for his birthday!

Joe Ryan: Nice outside area, great food. Everything so fresh and very tasty. If you like hot sauces, they got you.

Vinny C.: Anyone can do tacos, but not like this! If you want flavorful food served up by a friendly staff the Chupacabra delivers. While there I overheard a co-owner talking with patrons about the menu and what they liked. Come to find out they've been in business for 8 years with customers driving in from outside the Beltway. So have a seat, enjoy the sounds of the city, and make some memories over some great food!

Brazza Steaks on Stakes - Carne en Vara: what do users think?

Elliot Marfer: If you're a meat eater like myself then you're gonna love thus place!! Grilled meat, it was cooked thoroughly but juicy, really good taste not loaded with spices or condiments just right! I had the special which is 1/2 lbs of meat (either pork or beef) with 2 sides. I also had the cachafa (pic) per staff suggestion and it's my favorite 😍. Place is clean, not crowded and food was served super fast!! Staff is very friendly. I am telling everyone I know about this place!!!
Response: Thanks for your support…❤️❤️❤️

alexa martines: Had Venezuelan food for the first time today and it was an incredible experience. The Arepas de carne really blew my mind due to the smokiness of the steak pieces and how tender it was. I love sweet and savory dishes so I really enjoyed the cachapas con chicharrón. The chicharrón was perfectly crispy on the outside while tender on the inside. Met Carlos while I was there and he was super warm and welcoming. I will definitely be coming back to try more from their menu 🤤

Hansei Kai: A tipical Venezuelan restaurant, they offer meat cooked on stakes, this way to cook, gives the meat a characteristic flavor. Quality of the food is standard but fatty, flavorwise is good. A little pricey. It is located in a shopping mall with enough parking. The area is safe. You have to order your food at the counter and you can sit wherever you want but nobody tell you and there is no sign to guide you either as other restaurants have so, some work need to be done in Customer Service.

CCor Jr: Excellent food and even better hosts and hostess. Visited with my family and sampled several items from the menu including: beef, cheese, chicken empanadas, steak, cheese and mixed arepa, rice and black beans and blood sausage. Everything was fresh and warm and tasted great. Will certainly visit again and will recommend to any of my friends. Unfortunately, thought about taking the pictures when half of the food was already gone!

Yoicy Karina Quintero Olivares: Here I revived the flavors with which I grew up in my beloved Venezuela. The meat was exquisite, crazy tasty pork, the “chicha” transferred me to my school. The warm and honest attention, as we are the majority of Venezuelans. Tienen que visitarlos! 100% recommended!

Edgar Castro: I came today and had such a great experience. I ordered a blood sausage which are a hit or miss at restaurants. It was definitely a hit at Brazza! Will be back for sure to try the rest of the menu. My girlfriend had the hot dog and it was fully loaded and delicious.

Juan Dager: Chorizo, Morcilla, Churrasco, Polar, Pavlova... Amazing steak house! Prices are by the pound so it's better than Korean/Brazilian BBQ. At Brazza you are in control: Combine meats, sausages, and sides however you want. And there's more: Cachapas, Pork Sandwich, Chicharrón, Asado Ne.gro... The Pavlova Pie is delicious! I must go again to try all the menu. The owner is always so friendly. Excellent service! Tell him Juan Dager sent you. ¡Buen provecho!

Luis Gabriel Cortes Silva: It is necessary to say that each flavor and texture of each vocado was a treat for the senses. Simply delicious. Attended by its own owners, a wonderful place to visit. 100% recommended.

vasantos2171: The 4.9 stars are well deserved. These guys easily compete with the bigger steak places. BTW...put the house sauce on everything. It's delicious.

Hilda Kroll: Maybe I don't understand the concept of a food truck. I thought you pay, get your food and go and enjoy it. After forty-five minutes and four trips back and forth to the truck I finally got my full order of a pabellon bowl, three empanadas and a drink. The truck was parked in our condo lot and it was an opportunity for them to get some new customers. The food was really good but too much hassle to get it.

Good Knight: Incredible food. Just be mindful not everything gels with American taste buds, but for the adventurous it's a great menu of rare flavors I've not seen around NoVA before. The patacon, with their mashed plantain "buns" are so tasty and work with most any filling they offer really well. The chicken empanadas w/ dipping sauce are packed with meaty flavor and the shell well fried, lightly sweet and mouth watering.

Isadora Woodberry: I finally caught up to the food truck on Monday and I must say I am a huge fan. I got the beef patacon and i'm still salivating today. I can't until the truck is in my area.

CarBar Barza: I don't see anything!!!!

LouJuan Murray: Excellent
