Toki Underground: what do users think?

Katelyn Bodwell: Absolutely delicious and such a cool vibe inside! I had the Toki Classic and highly recommend! The place is upstairs and small, so you’re sitting close next to other people along the edge of the room and there is alway late 2000s music playing! Definitely a great date spot, might not be great for more than two people. Make a reservation ahead of time. A must visit place for Ramen in DC!!

Hannah: Such a cute little restaurant! The best ramen in DMV. Get a reservation if you plan on coming here because in the evening it usually fills up and there aren’t many seats. Drinks are good. They kick you out after a certain amount of time but it’s worth it.

Keith Muller: Since we no longer live in Washington DC, we always make eating at Toki Underground one of our top priorities. We were excited to learn they now offer reservations. Absolutely my favorite place to eat in DC. The food is delicious and super consistent. The staff is next level. My wife mentioned we had our first date ten years ago at Toki, and the staff made us feel like a million dollars. I can’t say thank you enough. We look forward to our next visit.

Caleb Newman: Wow, what a fantastic experience. The vibe of this place is extremely inclusive and upbeat. Great music and close proximity bar seating makes you feel like you’re at lunch with a bunch of friends. The servers and staff were kind and attentive; a special shout-out to Michael for his service and recommendation of the Fuyu Mizunara whisky. The classic ramen seemed like the go-to menu choice and for good reason, the pork was literally melt-in-your-mouth tender. You definitely need reservations, and now I can see why this place is always packed. We’ll be back!

Jordan Richardson: The ramen was amazing! Had the Toki classic and added the the spice bomb and it was phenomenal. Great noodle to meat ratio. This ramen would turn a vegan into a meat eater. The staff was super nice as well. Highly recommend!

Estadio: what do users think?

Hanna Ozbeki: came here for brunch and it was great! we did tapas style and it worked out for us even with the larger plates. we got the brussels sprouts, caluflower, patatas bravas , arugula salad, chorizo hash and hanger steak and eggs the star of the brunch were the steak and eggs everything else was good, but the patatas braves were not my favorite compared to everything else on the table service was great! quick, respectful, and mindful of our requests!

Da-Wang Wu: Some dishes are good (e.g., cauliflowers, shishito peppers, shrimps, cheesecake, churros), but others are just okay (e.g., steaks with blue cheese, fried potatoes, mussels). Since it’s tapas style, it’s better to order dishes by batch vs. all at once. Outdoor dining space is available. It can be a bit pricy for a casual Friday dinner.

Shalini: Perfect place for the first in person meeting with my team! The food here is fantastic. I loved the Bomba rice which is a rich but not too heavy and has umami-ness from the mushroom, truffle and manchego cheese. The corn was my next on my list of favorites followed by shishito peppers (decadent pepper aioli on the side), crispy cauliflower which was good. The churros were amazing- they were served with dark chocolate sprinkled with sea salt on the side, were perfectly crispy on the outside soft on the inside and not cloyingly sweet. Good service and recommendations as well!

Genesis Christina: First time eating here and YOU have to go, the ambiance is so welcoming and warm. The food is to die for! Great prices and you are able to try so many different plates because of the sizes! If you are looking for smaller plates snacks you have to go here. If you are a fan of butternut squash, you need to try their butternut squash soup! The customer service was also amazing, our waitress was so sweet and accommodating. 100% recommend!

Martha M. Castro: Food is on point. Food is spectacular and fresh, with plates for every taste. Service is very friendly and very helpful. Drinks exceeded expectations.

Emily Crisan: Amazing food, drinks, and atmosphere! Do yourself a favor and get the grilled octopus and the braised short rib! Wonderful dinner and will definitely be back!

Colvin Will Do It: This is such a great restaurant!! The little portions are how I think American portions should be as well. I took my wife out to eat a great dinner and we were not disappointed. It was expensive but we knew that walking in.

Kaylun Draughn: Food and service were impressive. We ordered the octopus, mussels, arugula salad, duck, and crispy pork belly. Everything was cooked to perfection and came out pretty quickly. The churros were good but crispier than I typically like. I can’t wait to go back!

Jacob Fitzpatrick: Estadio has an outstanding menu that is small enough to navigate, but large enough to find something for all tastes. The unique tapas range from vegetarian flavors to unusual meats - but all with roots to Spain (and Basque Country). The vibe is hip and fun, but not overpowering or too loud. A definite DC gem!

Brandon Richardson: Yummy Tapas place. Indoor and outdoor seating. Mask required. The crispy cauliflower and chicken tapas were great! Well seasoned and delicious!

Corduroy: what do users think?

J Taylor: We held a wonderful surprise dinner last Friday. The food was delicious and prepared nicely, compliments to the chef! The ambiance of the restaurant was perfect for our birthday celebration and the staff was phenomenal, especially Natasha!!! Everything was amazing! Thanks to Corduroy for making Friday a special night.

Morgan Fykes: Had a fabulous time back at Corduroy. The food was delicious and the service was good (poor guy was flying solo cause it was a VERY quiet night) - definitely enjoyed the meal and was glad to be back!!

Scott Plunkett: We just dined here for the Christmas Eve and I thought the experience overall was good with some areas of improvement. The service was acceptable but for the price I would have expected a slightly higher degree of attention to detail. Our waitress couldn’t really describe any dish in detail or how it would be presented when asked, and timing of service was a little odd as well. The first course came IMMEDIATELY, and I mean immediately after ordering before we had even time to butter our bread or take a drink of our cocktail, fine- but then afterwards the second course took a very, very long time to come out after we were done with the first course- just seemed a little odd, nitpicking maybe but I felt a little more continuity in timing would have been nice. We were about half way done with our dinner when someone came and asked if we were done- clearly we weren’t- again maybe too picky of me but there were leftover butter plates and other silverware on the table which weren’t taken away at the same time, just a little odd. Overall slightly slower/less attentive/aware service than I would have expected. But that may just be me using the high bar of DC restaurant service as an unrealistically high expectation. The food I thought was quite good, the tuna tartare and red snapper bisque were delicious. The sauces for each entree were amazing and the cuts of meat were perfectly fine but nothing to write home to mom about. Dessert was also very good. Overall I would recommend this restaurant to a friend and the combination of food and service was reasonable for the price point. Waitress could have known more about food and wine options and service could have been a bit more cohesive/attentive.

Keren Daniel: An absolute pleasure! All dishes are made from scratch, using the best ingredients, including desserts.

Jeff: So here is the deal. I got a dinner for 2 valued at $120 thru Verizon up program. After making the reservation I took my wife and we went to the restaurant. The restaurant is very nice and quiet with low lighting, it has a modern look to it. The lady who greeted us was super nice and gave us our Verizon up menus. Then came the server. When she saw we had Verizon up menus she looked not so happy. She never introduced herself. She took our order. I ordered green salad that was great. Then Flat iron steak with mushrooms for main course ( she never asked what sides I wanted when the plate can it had potatoes and green beans on it). I did not want to make a scene but anyway the food was excellent. Kudos to the Chef. Then came dessert it was Pistachio bread pudding, which was delicious. Other then the server being standoffish and not coming to check on us the restaurant was beautiful and the food was great.

lynda wright: There were 8 of us All LOVED the food and service. Only down side was the cigar shop next door. The smell was coming into where we sat. Several of the group were absolutely appalled. We do not SMOKE!! Understand the restaurant is trying to work out a solution. But next time we come we will change where we sat. BUT ABSOLUTELY 1 of the best restaurants in DC.

TYG Handyman: One of the best gems in DC. Wine list is great, service is excellent and food is awesome. Never had a bad meal. Chocolate tart, tuna with rice, all the soups just eat everything.

Ambar Capitol Hill: what do users think?

Maya Bryant: I’ve been to this location for brunch twice so far. It’s a great place to go if you want to try multiple things. I went last time for my birthday brunch, which was on the rooftop floor. It was beautifully decorated and spacious for my party of 9. The food is always really good especially if you want to try new things. The crispy cheese slider really impressed me. Other great menu items include the mini burgers, beef prosciutto Benedict, and pecan and maple waffles. I would honestly skip the mac and cheese and bacon and grits, but it’s still worth a try being that you pay one price for everything. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I definitely wouldn’t mind coming back for dinner one day.

Scott Nguyen: Came in with high expectations based on recommendations from friends and certainly was not disappointed! The food was so delicious and the service was top notch. We ordered a lot of small dishes with plenty of options for meat and vegetarian eaters. Our servers constantly had food orders taken and delivered, and we walked away very stuffed. Highly recommended.

arun varughese: One of the best restaurants in DC. The price is high but you get unlimited food of premium quality. 45$ for dinner and 35$ for lunch. The food quality is of the level of a good high end restaurant with normal ingredients. All items are small plates but it’s not an issue as you can order them again. My favorites are rainbow trout, lamb lasagne and slow cooked beef. Almost all their items are good. I did not like salmon as it tasted very bland.

Leighton Smith: Our experience at Ambar was phenomenal. One of my top 5 favorite dining experiences across the world. For only $45 (plus drinks if desired), you get 2 hours at a table to sample anything on the Balkan / Eastern European menu. Everything tasted fantastic. The service we received from Tamara and others was 5-star. I cannot believe how flavorful everything was. What an awesome cultural experience. Thank you Ambar!!

Doris Becerra: I enjoy this place... I love it. All the food was great!! I would recommend! The lunch was amazing and very quite place. I went with my baby, my mother and husband and all was perfect! The waitress was phenomenal and very nice!! She explained how its works and she brings to us every plate that we want it repeat! We love it the place. Some photos of the lunch.. but I must take more photos!!

Stefan Tobler: Wow, this was my first bottomless brunch experience in DC and I’m glad it was. Ambar is a hell of a deal with some delicious food and exciting atmosphere. The photos below are from breakfast but their dinner is equally as fun! HIGHLY recommend, one of the only places I find myself at time and time again bringing all my new guests!

Gina Abrams: Me and the crew had a great time! We went for brunch. We were seating as soon as we arrived! Melissa was an excellent host! She kept the food coming. Everything was good (except for the bacon was too salty, I typically eat turkey bacon). Make your reservations today!

Brittani Spaulding: My absolute favorite brunch spot ever. All you can eat food and drink for under $50 pp. Can’t beat it. Everything on the menu is tasty and the drinks are good. Make a reservation ahead of time. Make sure you come hungry and thirsty, the service is always great and plates and drinks are refilled quickly.

Viraj Patel: Great $35 unlimited plates brunch on the weekend. Be sure to get here at least an hour before closing so you have time to order all the plates. Best items: cheese pie, salmon Benedict, veal soup, kale Caesar, Balkan salad, grilled steak, fried chicken slider, pecan and maple waffle.

The Monocle Restaurant: what do users think?

Trevor John: This Rustic gem is a great diamond in the rough. Gives off speak easy vibes reminiscent of Old financial district NYC.

Justin McKenzie: Absolutely delicious food! Historical venue! Friendly service! A must do on a visit to DC!

Xenon Booth: Lovely ambiance and great cocktails. The food was great, but not exceptional. I had the lobster linguine (which was fine) and my husband had a steak (which was good). We really enjoyed the oysters. We felt that this restaurant, overall, was great value for money.

Nicole Jamila: My boyfriend and I are very picky as he is a chef and I just love food in general. We’re visiting DC and the bar tender at our hotel suggested the Monocle. And boy are we glad we listened!!! We had 4 entrees; Crab cakes, made with JUMBO lump crab with a delicious sauce; Salmon, cooked perfectly and served with perfectly cooked veggies and a beautiful sauce; clams with linguini. We ordered two sides of onion rings (which they are known for). I’ve never had onion rings like that and I’m glad we ordered two because one wouldn’t have been enough. EVERYTHING was superb!!! Our server Joel was attentive and polite. He took such good care of us. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience! When we’re back in DC, this is where we’ll be!

Carl Pruschowsky: I wish I took photos! Our experience was 11/10. Our server was fantastic and the food was wonderful. I got the Special which was a NY Strip cooked perfectly. The other people in my party got the crab cake, Ribeye and a Pasta dish and they were all ranting on how good everything was. Definitely order the soup!

LISA HANEY: I didn’t eat at the restaurant. We had a gathering upstairs. The staff was awesome. The bartender was extremely nice and funny. I’ll be back.

JOSE EMILIANO SOTO VILLANUEVA: . Unique menu, fresh food and the ambiance is incredible. Beautifully renovated and designed. Every time I come to DC I will be sure to pay this amazing restaurant a visit!!

District Daily Eats: I’ve worked on Capitol Hill for ten years and heard so much about The Monocle, but I’ve never had the chance to experience this steakhouse until this week. The Monocle is family owned and operated. You can find it steps away from the Senate Buildings. You never know who you might be sitting next to here whether its an ambassador or your very own elected official from the House of Representatives or The Senate. The menu is fairly standard as far as steakhouses go. I got the Ginger Manhattan to drink to start, followed by The tuna tartare. Next, I got the jumbo crab cake and a bowl of the jambalaya. For dessert I got the chocolate triomph cake. Everything was incredibly good! I can’t stress that enough!! I had the chance to talk with the owner and some of the staff. Everyone could not of been anymore friendly and hospitable. My orders were brought out to me quickly and correctly. As for the restaurant itself. It’s kept impeccably clean. Definitely check out The Monocle!

Nala Sloane: Coming to the taste of the food, I felt it was worth and the value for money according to me was amazing. Overall I would say the restaurant was great. Wonderful experience!

The Dabney: what do users think?

Jiaren Li: Well deserving of the accolades! The meal was extraordinarily enjoyable and our waitress was both insightful of the food and friendly. I was surprisingly mind blown by the roasted vegetables - superb ingredients and good techniques make something appear so simple but feels like beyond my ability to replicate at home.

Jessica C: The Dabney is my go-to for special occasions. It’s pricey but whenever my friend from the west coast comes for a visit, it’s our fancy/celebratory reunion dinner. The wait staff is always friendly and they pay you great attention. There are lots of little touches that make this place great (i.e., my friend and I remembered how much we loved the bread and butter last time we came, and the staff gave us tiny jars of the butter to take home with us. The butter is so good you could eat it with a spoon). The snacks/first course were delicious. Even something as boring as a radish turned into a highlight of the meal (I avoid seafood but they made great substations with the pre-fixe menu to accommodate me). The meat is cooked beautifully (though I admit the lamb was fattier than I typically enjoy — see photo) and the egg tart was my favorite dish. The drink was aromatic and lovely. If you can save up for a fancy dinner, go.

Logan Kenney: Amazing farm to table meal, definitely worthy of the star! The food was perfectly prepared and the dishes were extremely well thought out. One of my favorite D.C. spots, it’s a must every time I go.

Beth H: A warm and relaxed place where culinary artists skillfully transform foraged and locally sourced ingredients into edible masterpieces. The finished product unfolds course upon course like symphonic movements, building on a theme, revisiting subtle refrains, interposing cleaver variations, and culminating in a memorable, once-in-a-lifetime edible aesthetic experience!

Nicholas Stephens: Absolutely loved it! Wait staff was super friendly, everyone said hello coming in and thank you, have a good night heading out. Our server, Christian, was very knowledgeable about the menu, offered great suggestions and was patient with our questions. Had a 5-course meal, including snacks, appetizers, entree, dessert and parting sweet treats for the road. A Michelin star restaurant tucked into Blagden Alley, worth the trip and the experience! Enjoy some of the artwork in the Alley, as well, right at the DC Alley Museum a few steps away. To the entire staff, thank you and I hope to see you again soon. Have a great night!

Julia Gooding: We walked in and we’re thankful to be able to have the choice of the fixed or a la carte. We opted to order from the menu. Warning: portions are really small, so be prepared to order a lot or don’t come super hungry. We joked you get but a dab of food (a La carte at least) at The Dabney, but it’s a tasty dab! Some highlights were hen of the woods, scallops, and the wild meringue desert. But I think the dark chocolate gelato could be darker and richer. Cocktails were interesting but I didn’t find them that interesting in terms of depth/layers of flavor. Really nice staff and positive experience, but a star off because my expectations (with the star) were quite high!

Matt Monarch: Great tasting menu, but probably not worth splurging on given the other options you have in DC. The catfish sliders are worth adding. All the other food pictured was very good but unspectacular.

Christine S: I’ve been here on several occasions, and the Dabney has always been consistently great. Quality of the ingredients really shine here, and the service is stellar. I still remember my first visit when I bit into a carrot and thought “this is what a carrot should taste like.” (LOL…I’m serious though). If you’re someone who appreciates quality ingredients from great suppliers, don’t miss out! From their latest menu (as of September 2021), I tried their chilled corn soup with Maryland crab, tomato tartine, lamb, and nectarine sorbet. I highly recommend the chilled corn soup! Cozy ambiance and great drink menu

Old Ebbitt Grill: what do users think?

Natalia Mednikov: There are straightforward American-style food. This restaurant is best known for its huge old-school oyster bar—think lots of dark wood, brass fixtures, and big mirrors. That oysters was fantastic and fresh. We’ve enjoyed also cheese sampler, fried calamari and baked oysters. Everything they do is absolutely delicious. The service was very fast and friendly. We were happy to choose this great restaurant to end our busy day in Washington, D.C.

Aditya Karandikar: Had an awesome time here as a late night/ early next day stop. The food was quite nice and fairly refined, especially at such a late hour! The atmosphere was popping as well which made it more enjoyable. Service was very friendly and they had great oysters. Fresh complimentary bread never hurts either…

Sam M: This place is one of the more famous restaurants in DC. I visited this spot during brunch and it was packed. I would definitely recommend making a reservation for both weekend dinner and brunch services. I started with New England clam chowder and some salad dish. For entrees, I got eggs benedict and catfish. All the dishes I ordered were pretty good. But, I definitely enjoyed their desserts more even though I was pretty full before it. Their key lime pie and salted caramel bread pudding were both amazing! Staffs were very accommodating and attentive during the whole service. I’m planning to visit this restaurant and will get some oysters and burgers next time. I heard they are pretty good. I definitely recommend this place to celebrate any special occasions.

Suzi Figueroa: Wow, wow and wow! A friend recommended this establishment to me when I asked for dining recommendations for my upcoming DC trip. I am so glad I listened. The warm and inviting ambiance matched the service. And the food? Oh my goodness. Delicious. My SO ordered meatloaf. Who knew meatloaf could take on a such an extraordinary presentation.

Elaine Viegas: AMAZING! There is no other word to describe it. Since we arrived until we paid the service was perfect. I couldn’t be more happy for their food, service and kindness on my birthdays lunch. We didn’t mention that it was my birthday but they saw on my profile and as soon as I arrived they asked to confirm and no only brought my desert with a candle and a cute chocolate happy birthday place on the top. Our server was amazing, she arrived singing happy birthday, was very classy and really surprised me. Thank you for the excellence in your service. BTW the food it’s top quality, my oysters and shrimps were fresh abs really tasteful.

Jelena M: Great food, great price, great service! The waiter we had was so nice, knowledgeable, and friendly! The calamari was very good, but watch out for the spicy peppers in it . My salad was yummy! I usually never order salads, but I am glad I did as the dressing was citrusy and refreshing! They also give warm bread and butter while you wait 😍

Métier: what do users think?

Brittany H: By far our favorite restaurant in D.C. that we tried during our trip! We decided to celebrate our anniversary here and we are so glad we did. Each dish was so perfectly crafted and exceptional. The chef does an excellent job in making sure you taste all the elements of his dishes. We enjoyed every single single dish & wouldn’t change a thing. They do have the option to upgrade your first dish to Caviar and I have to say it’s a must! The chef and his wife were even so kind to give us an anniversary candle as a gift and we can come back and refill it on our next visit. So thoughtful! They truly made our experience unforgettable. I highly recommend Métier to any and all! You will not be disappointed. We can’t wait to return next year!

Raja Haider Hussain: Just like a state within a state. This restaurant is hidden under basement of another Michelin star kinship. Formal, quiet, serene, classy place to dine out. We were there this year for the Valentines dinner. You can expect good things there.. A Michelin star experience at par with what is expected of them. However, I can’t rate it as 5 star once I compare the food and menu with Michelin star restaurants of Europe. Specially France and Netherlands.

Jeff Schwamb: A true dining experience. Not only is every plate a truly delicious encounter, but the journey is an absolute joyous trip. The wine pairing is unique and exposed me to a unique wine (late harvest sovereign blanc tasting like a dessert ice wine). Top 3 in the city for me.

Kyle Davis: Simply an outstanding meal. Service was great, food was exceptional, dining room was very comfortable. Special shout out to the wine pairings — all incredibly and expertly matched to the course. Highest recommendation.

Matt Glasser: The food was good. My wife, who made the reservation for Valentine’s Day, had written to ask if they could accommodate a pescatarian diner, and they agreed. When we got there, they were nevertheless surprised. It worked out, but was a bit uncomfortable.

Supra: what do users think?

Lesia Zintchouk: Very nicely designed restaurant offering traditional Georgian (country Georgia) cuisine and special selection of qvevri wines. Yummy dishes, crafted with love and homemade family feel. Many choices on the menu for vegetarians and gluten-free or a bit of everything for omnivores like myself. Big fancy glasses for the wines full of big flavor. Love, love, love Georgian wines and welcoming customs. Well maintained and well staffed, beautiful restaurant.

Sam M: I never had Georgian cuisine, but it was very delicious. I walked into this restaurant and notice that the place is really clean and roomy. They also have outdoor seating available. I enjoyed pretty much all the dishes that I ordered from here. I started my brunch with salad and yogurt dishes which were light and delightful. Khinkali, which is huge Georgian dumpling with either meat or potato and cheese, was really good and very filling. But the star of the show was Ajaruli! It is a boat shaped bread with cheese, egg, and butter on top. The waiter mixed those ingredients right in front of me and it was quiet entertaining. This was definitely my favorite dish! The bread was soft and the cheese and egg mix was phenomenal. Also, if you were planning to order soft drinks, I would recommend ordering one of their pear flavored soda! Really refreshing. Overall, I had a great experience from here and definitely plan to come back sometime soon.

Sam Askenas: Georgian food is delicious. Everything was coooked perfectly with the appropriate amount of cheesiness. We opted for the more traditional dishes with less of the fanfare, and we were very pleased. The drinks were lovely. Big bramble guys

AJ Martinez: The service was excellent. The soup dumplings tasted amazing, I just wish someone would have told us how to eat them. The veggie platter had good variety but the flavor was nothing special. The sausage tasted very good.

Naomi: Came in for restaurant week. Definitely the best introduction to Georgian cuisine one could ask for! Great service and delicious food. Make sure to sneak around the corner and see the murals at the bar!

Fiorella Hidalgo: Went during Restaurant Week to celebrate with my boyfriend. The food was so outstanding, the flavors were so rich and felt somewhat homey (which is weird because I’m from South America hahah, maybe was the cornmeal bread-mchadi that tastes exactly like Ecuadorian tortilla de maíz!!!). Service 10/10 our server was so nice and funny, great recommendation for drinks. Cocktail not pictured and if you are not a fan of beer, their Ukrainian beer was really good (coming from a non beer drinker lol). Coming back soon to celebrate my birthday! Hahah

cassandra bierworth: Wonderful place! The wait staff is amazing and so attentive. They will help answer any questions you have. The food was great! It was exciting trying different dishes and the cocktails were nice as well.

Cobun Zweifel-Keegan: Friendly atmosphere, wonderful food. Great for a satisfying warm brunch on a cold day. The soup dumplings are made with thick homemade dough. Tasty!

The Fourth Estate Restaurant: what do users think?

Spumante Merrick: The dining room was nice, the company fantastic. The food was a pleasant surprise and filling. I started off with lentil soup followed by a nicely spiced vegetarian dish. The bummer was the waiter who leaned over my food and nearly flipped over my drink.

Dan Vogel: I had the express lunch soup and sandwich $10. It was very good I love cold canteloupe and ginger soup. The staff where very attentive and the restaurant ambience was worth the price aline

Justin Russell: BEST KEPT SECRET IN DC! Chef Susan Delbert is a culinary genius. Try the lobster grilled cheese sandwich for lunch!

Mary Knox: A hidden treasure. It is open to the public. Well prepared and served food. Chef Susan is great, and so is the rest of the staff.

Keith Nagel: Excellent food and service. Nervous when we were the only patrons at 730 pm, but I now realize people are just missing out on this DC gem!

Cindy Bulau: The food was delicious and service was excellent! I thought prices were fair. A nice quiet place.

The Tombs: what do users think?

Mia Sarraille: The food was fantastic and the service was outstanding. Will go back often. Highly recommend.

Paul Gurtler: The Tombs is a legendary hangout of the Georgetown University students and crowd. It is in a basement cellar setting that is a bit dark and intriguing. Old bartender names with year(s) of service are etched into small, individual brass plates that are affixed to the large wooden bar top. Slightly erie, old WWI and WWII recruitment posters adorn the bar area walls. Georgetown U symbols abound. Yes, you are at the famous Georgetown Tombs. Tasty appetizers and unlimited drink selections await thee along with a number of Georgetown U alum and fan favorites. The Tombs is the perfect place to meet your pals for cocktails prior to dinner elsewhere.

Alex Masu: Georgetown bar, lots of tradition. They have a new interesting old fashion, with peanut butter whiskey, try it!

D Whalen: Our waiter was sincerely nice, friendly, and happy to be serving us. Excellent food. Intriguing history on the walls. Great place. Hope to return.

Café Riggs: what do users think?

R. Michael Burns: The pancakes I had here were perhaps the best I have ever eaten, due in large part to the lavender honey butter, a truly unique flavor that I absolutely loved. The pancakes themselves were large and lovely -- fluffy inside, nicely caramelized on the outside. A bit pricey, but worth every penny and then some. I was less in love with the Italian chicken sausage, which was a bit dense and ever-so-slightly gamey somehow. Not bad, really, but based on the pancakes I expected better. I also wish they had a greater variety of non-alcoholic drinks. The atmosphere has a sort of old-school elegance with some really nice art deco accents and high, molded ceilings with large windows, giving the place a nice openness and making it a very nice spot for a fancy-but-not-too-fancy breakfast.

Muniba Khan: My friend and I came to Cafe Riggs on a Monday night while we were in from out of town. We were able to book a same day reservation, which was really convenient. The place is really elegant and beautiful, and the service was also stellar. I got the salmon and my friend got the halibut and both were incredibly delicious! We also got the cherry blossom sundae from the seasonal dessert menu and it was really great! I only wish that it had more cherry blossom and less vanilla. My friend tried some of their drinks- they had a special on Martinis for Monday, so she tried the three minis and said her favorite by far was the Vesper. Also, there was a cherry blossom vermouth cocktail off the dessert specials menu that she really liked.

Food Enthusiast: Gorgeous place! I tried the happy hour menu, the drinks were very good and the bartender was a very kind and thoughtful man. If you want to bring a friend to a beautiful place with great ambiance and good food/drinks, look no further! I will definitely come back to try their breakfast menu.

Bethany: Beautiful and delicious experience. This place was amazing. I had the Cafe Royale? It was eggs benedict with smoked salmon and it was absolutely perfect. It was more expensive than I would normally go for for breakfast but it was so good I would do it again. The room was beautiful, the tables were very modern and chic and the food was delicious.

harrisonaslami: Honestly the atmosphere alone is to die for. Went for an early lunch/late brunch on a Thursday. Was seated immediately - lots of seating. Ordered drinks and food and all of it arrived to the table within 5 minutes, presented well with fresh ingredients. Not exactly cheap but not outlandishly priced. Great service. Will come here at least once every time I visit.

Erica Ortiz: This transformed bank space wows with decor, satisfies with food, and stuns with service. The menu could benefit from more raw bar selections, or light fare for after work and happy hour crowds (dinner starts at 5:30), and some additional entree selections. That said, everything I have had here has been delicious and straightforward. A great place for a business lunch, or cocktail hour.

Adam Riemer: Ok TL:DR top ten French fries in the country. They’re right up there with the potato pillows at Arnauds in New Orleans. That’s why five stars instead of three and a half. The fries are crispy on the outside, salted perfectly and melt in your mouth. The server and hostess are incredibly fun and friendly. They’re also professional. Once small issue we had is that we wanted to use our coupon from open table, but it didn’t work because I messed up the date. I asked the hostess if I could rebook but she said it would be fine and was more in a hurry to listen, she just wanted to seat us. To be fair she genuinely didn’t understand why I wanted to rebook, but it’s no big deal. She did her job and when I requested a different table she was very professional and made it happen. She was fantastic, friendly and wonderful. It would have been nice to use the coupon though. I fully enjoyed the Cabernet Merlot blend from Markham and my friend thought the Rose was good. He likes sweet wines and they don’t have any, including in the sparkling section so this was a great alternative. The mussels were delicious, but the fries are the show stopper. My burger came out dry and overcooked to the point where I shoveled it all down as quick as possible so I could just get through it. The lobster ravioli was over cooked and tough. But it is what it is. I would absolutely recommend this place based on the atmosphere, fries and cocktails for a business happy hour or networking event. The atmosphere is perfect for date night, but the food wasn’t prepared right so I would not go here for an actual date. It was likely just an off day. If you’re looking for a bachelorette party, brunch spot or drinks with the girls, this is a definite yes!!!

Le Diplomate: what do users think?

Thang Phu: Highly recommended! We stopped by for a late afternoon food one day and was amazed at how fantastic the food is. It was all so good, especially their desserts. I have travelled to multiple regions in France and I can attest the food here tastes the closest to food in France. They even have a wine carafe on the menu, just like France. I wished I lived near here so I could go treat myself now and then.

mike wittenburg: Five Stars for the food and the atmosphere. Visited on a busy Saturday evening and got a table without a reservation, amazing. So much seating available. Indoor and outdoor seating. Went with a couple of friends and the drinks and food were fabulous. Tuna dish is a small serving. Trout was great and the muscles were awesome. Apple dessert and vanilla creme brulee delicious. Definitely a popular spot. And the bread... So much bread... Good variety of bread to choose from. Enjoy!

Daae Katsicoyannis: The meal was incredible. I recommend going with friends and sharing everything. The service was also impeccable. You can tell that all ingredients at this restaurant are fresh and of excellent quality. It’s rare to find such an approachable restaurant of this league. I would recommend to anyone.

brian perkins: Loved this place for a few reasons. Let’s start with the bread. Why can’t all restaurants serve great, fresh, delicious bread? Because it’s not easy. I pictured the empty escargot plate because after dipping the bread in the garlic sauce it was game over. Add onion soup, superb steak frites, profiteroles to die for and you have a neighborhood gem. Not to mention the wait staff gives treats to dogs being walked by the restaurants. How great is that?!

Rob: The food and ambiance are always great. However, on multiple occasions, I’ve felt that the service is not what you’d expect from a restaurant of this caliber. Last time I felt a bit rushed and the service, while attentive, was curt. When our entrees arrived, a waiter couldn’t fully reach to place my friend’s plate in front of him. Rather then walk around the table (there was space), the waiter placed it on the table and gave the plate a quick flick of the wrist to push it over. It’s a small example but I think captures a similar sentiment seen in other reviews about the service.

Karissa Warren: Had an awesome food experience on New Years! Was a little disappointed they didn’t have their usual pastry assortment but every single item we got was delicious!! We really came for the pastries and croissants but were blown away by the food! If you want an authentic French croissant, they’ve got you covered! We will definitely be back!

Dee Ketterman: We’ve eaten here twice and love the food and decor. The feel of the restaurant more resembles an upscale bar with delicious food, as most people are standing and drinking rather than eating. I’d like to try sitting at the bar because I think it’d be a better experience to fit the atmosphere over a low table with people standing all around. The mushroom tart is fantastic and the French onion soup is the best I’ve ever had! The service was dressed appropriately but less attentive than expected, most likely because of how busy it seems to get. Regardless, I really like the food and hope to visit again soon.

Bibiana Oe: Very cute upscale dining experience! The waiter had many recommendations that were appealing. The bread with the butter is amazing! Ordered assorted oysters, mushroom tart, beef bourguignon, mussels and frites, and the profiteroles. Loved everything and it was good portions! Recommend for a lovely cozy dining in experience since the bar and inside of the restaurant is super unique!

SUCCOTASH: what do users think?

Bryan Mroz: Went on a Friday evening. It was full but we had reservations and we were seated quickly. Service was a bit slow but our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable. Food was perfect. We had Shrimp and Grits and Catfish. Great ambiance. There was love music mostly soul and jazz.

Vin D Sr.: Amazing menu and a fine meal. Staff was great and we enjoyed the atmosphere! Chicken and waffles outstanding as was the smoked steak! Sides were awesome too! So good we had to take a few orders to go! Highly recommend. Make a rez to secure a table at this hot spot.

Chris Taylor: Amazing space with comfy booths. They had live music which was a nice touch. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was good, I enjoyed some food came as starters. Loved the milk punch cocktail and the honey old fashioned. A good spot.

Dirty Habit: what do users think?

Olivia M. Wilson: Went to Dirty Habit for brunch and it was good! The fruit was really fresh and the potatoes were crisp. However, the service was decent and they only have bar seats available. Maybe that’s because we arrived an hour before they closed for the afternoon. Either way, the food made up for it. I would definitely like to try their dinner menu.

Blvknative: Going to dirty habit for Valentines Day was top tier! The ambience was everything I was expecting! The deal as far as food and drinks were top of the line! Truly a captivating experience for my company and I.

Katlin B.: Best French onion soup I ever had! The vibe is trendy and the crowd is very eclectic. The food and drinks were amazing! Will return for soup. Thanks to the awesome host and staff! There is also a nice outdoor area as well.

The Dabney Cellar: what do users think?

Peyton Doyle: This cozy underground bar was a delightful choice for a weekday happy hour. The decor and vibe was dimly lit, warm and comfortable. The drinks were delicious, as were the oysters and the happy hour appetizers. Everything tasted fresh and so good. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a solid drink/snack spot in Shaw.

Ariana: Excellent service, intimate space, deluxe drinks. We came here for after dinner date drinks. The bartenders were friendly and knowledgeable. They knew their stuff and were able to explain all drink ingredients and make modifications on request. The mulled wine is sooo good. When it first came out it was a bit concentrated but our bartender diluted it with a touch of additional red wine which made it perfect. Lost a star because the menu isn’t vegan friendly.

Adam Twardowski: Incredible ambiance, a very intimate and romantic space tucked away under an easily overlooked narrow set of stairs. Perfect for dates. Incredible selection of wine and delicious snacks. Can’t wait to return.

Corinne Goudreault: Fantastic waitress and very sweet atmosphere. The cheeses we had were amazing - if they have the ricotta on the snack menu GET IT!! It’s a very intimate and fun vibe, and my friend said the oysters were delicious. Great selection, helpful staff.

Shelley New: Excellently curated by-the-glass list. Bottle list is even better. Tasty small bites. Excellent place to wait out a Blagden Alley reservation or just to have a glass of wine (or two).

Kristin Cairns: The Dabney Cellar saved our night after a sad experience at our previous destination. The cocktails are well balanced and inventive, the wine list ‘takes you places’. The exquisite bar bites are creative riffs on familiar dishes. The atmosphere is intimate yet lively. And the bartender, servers and kitchen staff are knowledgeable, friendly and genuine.

Sherman C: Pulling open the door with the Dabney leaf sign to this underground wine bar, it opens up to a cozy and warm space of deliciousness. The service style is pretty much consistent with the restaurant: non-assuming, down-to-earth but attentive, knowledgeable and welcoming. The waitresses always take the time to explain the wines to you; they listen to what you like about wine, offer to bring samples, and there are half glasses. The intriguing snacks/meat/cheese menu adds to this excellent experience.

Jamie Fuller: Chef Langhorne has done a great job with the Cellar. Wonderful wine selection, with bottles under $50, and great rotating food options. Some favorites included the buttermilk dressing with fresh carrots as well as the ham choices. Service is what you would expect upstairs at a Michelin started restaurant, with a more casual and cozy vibe! Cant wait to come back!

Del Mar: what do users think?

Genesis Marrero: I was truly impressed with this dining experience. We flew to DC for my birthday week and had my birthday dinner here. Luis served us and he was definitely one of the best servers we have ever had wait on us (and we are huge foodies so that is saying something). He was so attentive and just knew exactly how to guide the dining experience based on what the guests is wanting out of their night whether they know specifically or not. We let him take the wheel with all of the knowledgeable recommendations and we were so happy from start to finish. We came back for our last meal in DC and again, Amber served us, and again we were not disappointed. She was so sweet and also had wonderful recommendations and made sure all of our needs were met before we said goodbye and hopped on a flight. Luckily Luis was also there and he remembered us which made us happy because he was also so memorable for us. He was so nice and sent us our new favorite drink that he enlightened us to - the carajillo. I don’t think you could go wrong with a single thing on this menu. The rest of the staff was also very efficient and everything just seemed to flow so smoothly with the teamwork here. I can’t wait to go back someday!

R: This was my first time going to Del Mar and the food was phenomenal! We went as a group of 8 to celebrate a birthday. It was my first time trying octopus and it was really good. The parking in the garage was $45 since I stay for 4+ hours which was a downside for the night so it might be better to find street parking.

J. Ivy Smith: Food was AMAZING! This should get. Michelin Star. There paella is the best I have had. I want to say there paella and cheesecake is similar to José Andre. Service was excellent and our waiter reminded us of actor John Mulaney. I def recommend this place and def Michelin Star worthy.

Black Star Dust: Absolutely stunning place. Great service. Top tier experience. Everything was a ten. The Seafood Paella is delicious. Highly recommend that dish. It comes in different sizes for sharing. It was my bday so they brought out gratis champagne and this cheesecake that was literally the one of the most delicious desserts to grace the planet. Don’t even get me started on the churros! Amazing! I also did come in with a VIP who goes there regularly so that surely may have enhanced the experience to 10 stars!!

Alya's Aura: The food was SO delicious and of course the service was top notch. Our waiter (I believe his name is Michael) was so nice and helpful and made some great recommendations. I definitely suggest leaving space for dessert because their little dulce de leche dark chocolate cakes with the horchata ice cream was beyond amazing! The perfect end to a great meal 👌🏾

Daisy Gutierrez: Food was good. Not great but good. The service was great! This wine was my fave. A little overpriced only because I feel at those prices the food should taste better. They have a great selection though! I had the seafood paella it lacked flavor. My friend had some green rice thing, neither of us raved about our main courses. The patatas bravas are good but could use more of the brava sauce.

Kafe Leopold: what do users think?

Bernardo Mar: Kafe Leopold is a quality restaurant. It’s modern interior is clean and reminded me of a High end furniture store. The food is made with quality ingredients and one can tell that each dish was made with a lot of attention and thought. The plum pancakes were delicious but took 20 minutes to arrive since they are made fresh to order. The ravioli was very tasty but a bit too oily for my liking.

Patrick Young: The food is delicious, but quite pricy. It’s a lovely cafe down an alley in Georgetown that really does just feel pleasant to eat at. The schnitzel in particular is great. The Austrian coffee is tasty. The pistachio dessert is somewhat disappointing because the pistachio section tastes amazing, but the dessert is ruined by giant strawberries in it that don’t seem to blend well with it texture or flavor wise.

Armida (Justmida): We had breakfast there and this is far from American. The breakfast I had was their French toast which was good, but wasn’t sweet at all. My husbands poached eggs where good however bland and the avocado toast they must like zest! It was over powering and sadly no avocado taste. They did just scrambled eggs for our gd and definitely cooked in butter, but the kid didn’t complain.

A: Went three times. Better for brunch than dinner, and better for sweets than for salty foods. The strüdel is amazing and the pastries are delicious. Dinner wise, the main entrées are a little average, especially for the price. The branzino in particular is a disappointment. but the salmon and the spinach dumplings were enjoyable Brunch wise, the mediterranean breakfast and avocado toast were pretty good. Their location is amazing - lovely patio with a fountain, just off the bustle of Georgetown.

Shaniece Degazon: I highly recommend making a reservation for this place for brunch because i didnt and had to wait 30 minutes as a walk in for a party of 2. So the good thing is that the food is prepared quickly and it is very flavorful. I highly recommend the meditterrean brunch special and the emperor pancakes and lemosas. Street parking available. Total bill with dessert main entrees and drinks was $93. And our server and front of house were very professional. Definitely ill be back for more austrian food.

ReCreate Artworks: This has been by far one of my favorite places to eat around the DC area. Situated perfectly in Georgetown, Kafe Leopold gives you all the best vibes with the greatest quality of food to match it. We started with drinks (Hugo and Mojito). The mojito was one of the best I’ve had. Then ordered the Pulled Pork and Leopold’s Poached Egg and Avocado Toast, and finished it off with a shot of espresso and a Marillentorte. I cannot recommend this place enough. The staff was excellent. The manager was super kind and checked on us. The atmosphere was stress-free and beautiful. Then you have all of Georgetown to explore!

Hank's Oyster Bar: what do users think?

Kim Walker: Came to DC for the memorial weekend. One stop on my many adventures between DC and MD was this restaurant. And I am glad I did. Me and my guest did not have a reservation so we opted to sit at the bar until a table was available. We came on a Saturday during brunch. The hostess was pleasant but Chad stole the show. His drinks were amazing. Mine was one he made up and it was sooooo good. Food was fresh and served quickly. Flavors were also on point. Our server was friendly and had excellent oyster recommendations. Very good. I definitely recommend and would come back.

Cayna Sharp: Hank’s is a perfect spot for a celebration, but if you have a large group, you will have to sit in their covered outdoor area because they have very limited indoor seating. Everything our group had was great. We shared a selection of oysters, which were all very fresh, hush puppies, and crab dip for appetizers and everything was so good. I had the rockfish for my dinner and it was cooked perfectly. They are gluten free-friendly and accommodated our group and they even brought out a little bowl of chocolate with a candle for my birthday even though they don’t offer dessert. They had a great selection of cocktails, but they were out of a few of the listed options. Our waitress was great and super kind! 10/10 would go back

Adam Heiss: Best oyster bar in DC! The oyster selection is excellent and always super fresh. My top favorite is the lobster roll with a beautiful buttery perfectly toasted brioche bun which is the ideal vessel for a generous helping of perfectly seasoned creamy lobster filling.

Hsing-Yu Chang: We like the ambiance, staff is funny and friendly. We went during happy hour so we could only sit inside. The oysters are delicious; so is the crab dip

Sarah Ouellette: Best fish and chips in DC. All the food was delicious. Especially loved the fried oysters and shrimp and calamari appetizer.

Tina A: This is absolutely a must eat. The restaurant is a hidden jewel and easy to miss for tourist based on its location off the tourist path. It is part of a DC neighborhood. It possess a nice quaint appeal, relaxing vibes and soothing atmosphere. The staff are friendly and attentive and the food is good excellent. Everything we ate was well seasoned. The portion sizes in comparison to the price is a steal. We ate the popcorn shrimp/calamari “small” plate and a bowl of lobster bisque (which contains large chunks of lobster yay) and was too full to order anything else. The “adult” beverages didn’t skimp on the alcohol either!!! Search for this hidden gem and I promise you find a treasure.

Carla Ferguson (Your Bon Viveur): The food was great, really fresh, and the service was excellent. The drinks could have been better, but overall I was very satisfied.

J M: Loved the food, and most of the staff! Except the one female bartender with the backwards hat and rainbow logo on her shirt the night of 6/16. She was rude to us directly, and then I watched her fight with two other couples while they were trying to order. We asked her a simple question about the menu, and she responded with disgust as if we should’ve known that menu back-to-front. Would definitely recommend this place to others as our waitress and the other bartenders were wonderful, but I would also make sure they know to avoid the B* behind the bar. She does not fit in with the rest of this magnificent restaurant.
