Career Technical Institute: what do users think?

Canisha Russell: This is by far the WORST technical institute I've ever known of. The instructors are terrible. The staff I've come across from being in the Help Desk classes are terrible. They CLEARLY do NOT like their jobs and hate being there. Helping people is not at the top of their priority list. They seem EXTREMELY lazy. It's no way you all have attitudes by 12pm. I've graduated as of Feb. 11 but it's March 8 and if I didn't call to make sure everything on my end is done, they wouldn't have told me about a balance. Furthermore, nobody knows anything. I ask one person one thing and she's passing me off to someone else who doesn't know anything.

donna leehancock: Excellent staff, great interaction w the students. The professor and the assistant e collect instructors. Clean, organized, up to date on studies needed for 21 century, assess to and from the Metro, as well as practicing OSAHA and HIPPA. I would definitely recommend institute for a change in careers or simply learning a new occupation within this job market. Excellent!!!!!!

Morgan Paul: I graduated in 2016 and haven't received my certificate. This school made it difficult for me to work and provide for my family. Which left me in debt. Which they told me I qualified for a free grant which I didn't have to payback. Which was a lie. They even garnished my taxes to pay them off. And I still have nothing to show for my supposed to accomplishments.

Abdul Hamrah: Very bad experience I was there for 6 months 3 teacher changed and they change most of class materials I was so confused after a few month they said you are done I have not gotten any support and any certification and just wasted my time and money. Please feel free to call me if any prove for bad experiences I talk with prove
Response: Hi Abdul, we're so sorry that you've had a bad experience here at CTI. Please call us at 202-932-0630. We'd really like to speak with you about your time here.

Joselyn Alvarez: The school has motivated me to become my best self. The teachers and staff are so wonderful and helpful, the programs offer a variety of career paths, and i wouldn't go to any other school. 12/26/21 UPDATE Needed to come on the record and say that my original 5 star review is only because the teachers tell you to write a 5 star review in exchange for a good grade, credit, or extra points on an exam. Don't believe all the good reviews on here. I graduated April 2020 from the Medical Assistant program and have yet to receive a certificate of completion despite multiple attempts to contact the registrar. There should be no reason for them to withhold my diploma as they already received all my completion documentation AND i qualified for FAFSA so they already received all the money from my student loan servicer. This place is a scam and I wish I had gone somewhere else.

Jay Da Will: The staff is great. I’m a student taking part in the IT program that they offer here and the courses are worth every dime. You truly gain knowledge and receive tons of help if you put in the effort. Since I’ve been here, I been able to build a very great relationship with my financial aid advisor and my academic advisor as I contiune to excel on my way to graduation. They’ve helped me along th at keeping me in check with my grades, attendance, as well as the goals I set at the start of my enrollment. If you show you want it, the opportunity at the end is very bright for anyone who wants to enroll. Jerome Student of Career Technical Institute
Response: Thank you for the kind words, Jerome! It really is our ultimate goal to help students get started in a new career they'll love. Our staff members want to see students succeed and we're proud you have experienced this! Keep up the hard work. You'll be finished with your training and working in the IT field before you know it!

pamela byrd: Find a different school it don’t feel like I have graduated, I feel like I haven’t accomplished anything and I been done since February... and I still have not received my diploma ima contact department of education and student loans to look in this this school because I’m not about to pay student loans and I haven nothing to show for it. I still haven’t received my degree and it’s been 4 months going on 5 since I was told I was finished... find a better school this one is not it!! Just dept and more bills
Response: Pamela, we are sorry for the frustration you are experiencing. We see you are an online student and reached out to the Linda, Instructor Manager of Online Operations, you mention above. She is trying very hard to help you with everything you need and sounds like you have good communication going. She's been working on getting you the weekly forms you need and now the transcripts to get you to the next step. Keep contacting her direct. She is definitely trying to help!

Corene Bryant: I am a successful student and graduate of CTI Help Desk program from back in 2014. I have obtain a Help Desk Certificate from this school. After the program I was also placed on my first IT Contract with the job placement as guaranteed. I am now a student with the online classes for the AAS-Information Technology to obtain my very first degree. I am also still successfully placed in my career field since 2014. I do recommend this school. Always remember you are in charge of your destiny. Also, I want to thank this school for everything! Corene Bryant Successful Student
Response: Thank you for the good feedback! We are so happy that you have had a good experience at CTI. You have a bright future ahead of you. We look forward to seeing you succeed!

Vanessa Thomas: From the moment I met with Sylvia Williams my experience at CTI has been wonderful. Both of my instructors Ms. Cowley and Ms. Dixon are great teachers and are very knowledgeable about the information. It has been very fast paced but has helped me with my time management and I have acquired the skills and confidence to work in a medical setting.
Response: Hi Vanessa, thank you for the nice review! We're happy to hear that CTI has helped improve your skills!

Brande' F: I enjoyed my experience at this school so far as being in the hospitality class. I miss being guided by Mr. Aquino because as the class knew, he wanted the best for all of us. Then when Mrs. Brown came, she helped me along with others study for certifications. Idk why people not coming to enjoy the knowledge. Its way too easy!! Well if you take notes and follow along ... Its the same work, just worded differently. I already asked several times about the Associates Degree.

Flatiron School: what do users think?

Stephen Talley: Amazing experience with Flatiron School. It may have been the best investment I ever make. I did quite a bit of research before choosing a bootcamp and I definitely had cheaper options. I went with Flatiron School despite the it being more than some others but I think this is one of those instances when you get what you pay for. But also you get out what you put in. Money is half only one factor. Another factor will be in the $22k worth of time you put into doing work 10 or more hours a day for 4 months...

Nicole Bills: I had an unparalleled good time learning Data Science at Flatiron from Oct. 2019 - Jan. 2020. The quality of the instructors really blew away my expectations. I learned a lot from my colleagues in the program as well. It was a wonderful experience, and I felt very prepared when I started the Data Science job that I landed just after bootcamp ended.

A.T R.: Critical: Communication, ProfessionalismHorrible here and price is ridiculous.

Bennett Career Institute: what do users think?

DonDiva Davis: They've allowed me to establish a career in this Industry for the past 18 years. As a 2x Valedictorian I would highly recommend Bennett to anyone in pursuit of an awesome and amazing career jump start into the Beauty & Barbering Industry!

natalie: I always love going here. The students and staff are pleasant, I really enjoy the way they compliment one another, that can be so important to a person to hear that someone liked what they did or what they are doing. A compliment can go a long way.

R.L. D: This place apparently passes off your social and any other information that you give the to a third party. I moved from another state and had to get my id mailed to the new state that I moved to and I has a Maryland address. They said 5 different reasons that why my identification was no good and apparent it was. The “third” party service that they use without permission because I never signed any paperwork giving the Bennett career institute permission to send my sensitive information to a party of people that has nothing to do with this establishment. I pray that there is no fraud on my credit and social. I do not know who this processor is and nor will “doctor” Bonita branch, nor will the head of administrations at this office provide me with who these people are. This school is extremely fishy and if you value your personal information don’t apply or go to this school.

Deborah Simms: Excellent service and stylist are courtesy to customers concerns for satisfactory appearances .

Wendy W: I have been coming here for years; the students change and so have the instructors, BUT the level of professionalism and quality of service has not. Their work often surpasses profession beauty salons which are much pricier. You get a great deal in a real quiet and relaxing atmosphere.

Schiieyenne Parker-Bowser: Ms. Polite is rude as hell. I called a phone number that my child called me from and asked a question and she got so rude. She is a supposedly student at the Bennet Hair School/Institute on Monroe street in DC. I was disrespected and rudely treated. She is not someone to go to to get her hair done, if that’s her real name. To be polite is totally different from what this person gave, horribly disrespectful.

Tracy Cross Lucas: Always have a great experience here except after COVID. Website is NOT updated. Went after taking Friday off to be informed that I needed an appointment-not on website-other services, like eyebrow waxing are not offered-COVID and not listed on website AND they are now closed on SATURDAY. I was informed this by the woman at the service window. Please update the site. Another person walked in after me, without an appointment, and had to go through the same ordeal. That sucks.

Sandra Jenkins: Got to my appointment early. Staff was kind enough to start servicing me before my scheduled appointment. Due to shortage of students staff pitched in to service clients. Got finished in very timely manner.

A Diablo: The hair service I received was great I just didn't like how my shirt was stained in the process and the lack of action accountability around that incident. I'm unsure if I will be returning.

Annette Wiggins-Bey: I appreciate their professionalism, I was taken care of in a timely fashion. I definitely will recommend to family. I live in Baltimore and don't trust no one there to put hands in my head . It is beautiful that I can come back home and find someplace where the customer is definitely number one. Thank you!!

Center for Employment Training - CET Alexandria: what do users think?

TYsean Lawson-Bey: Horrible place Now . From 2017 to 2020 it was wonderful and one of the top training institutions around with several students completing the program and moving on to some of the leading company’s in the industry earning above average wages . The school also had some of the industry’s top craft instructors . Now the school is basically a scam. The students aren’t getting the same core values or training the the students in the past have received. I wouldn’t recommend this place to Anyone looking to get into a trader. Try Nova , pG community college , local 99 , or S.O.M.E
Response: CET has been a proud part of the community in Alexandria, VA for well over 25 years. With a job placement rate of 81% of students, both staff and instructors aim for the same goal, providing students the skills needed to land a good job with a future. Making the decision to attend training can be life-changing, and we encourage all prospective students to look for the best fit for their individual goals. We welcome anyone who would like to come in for a tour to check out our facilities.

ej bynum: Good experience and recommend to anyone who needs a career for HVAC

chris montes: such a non professional place. they dont know how to teach. i attended one week in Building Maintenance and one week HVAC class (it was a little better than BM class) to check how it is. but, it is horrible. Building Maintenance teacher is not professional and academic. he does know alot but cant teach. every one just every where and doing own stuffs. i never recommend anyone here. NON PROFESSIONAL, people dont waste your money here it is not worthy. they take $14,500 for building maintenance and after eight or nine months you just have a paper with NO KNOWLEDGE. i saw students they were cheating in test time and that was teachers fault because they dont teach well and cant train students well. i could find better place near CET Alexandria it is way better and cheaper. i also heard about BAD teacher his name was Tysean Lawson Bey, they fired him because he cheated the CET system. after i got all these information i noticed this TRAINING CENTER is done. NO WORTHY TO PAY HERE!!!!!!
Response: Mr. Montes. We are sorry that you had a single star experience at CET Alexandria. You mention that you were five days in one class and five days in another. We have a 10 day cancellation period because we know CET will not be for everyone and you tried out two in one. You mention academics in your review. CET teaches job skills and is not “academically” focused. At most academic schools, students will earn a single letter grade and have only once chance to make a grade. CET is competency based and there are no letter “grades”. Students stay focused on mastering a skill set and can take a competency test more than once, if needed. Labs allow students to work independently and in groups on hands-on projects. Success at CET is also measured in the ability to work independently, in a group, be punctual and attend class. These skills prepare students for the job they hope to achieve following completion of the program. We know CET is not for everyone and we hope you find your own fit.

malik Proctor: I’ve had a great learning experience at CET.

Dale Wright: Got my building maintenance certification. And three years later all i can get is dishwashing jobs. Tried to come back for hvac for a better chance at a job but since i couldnt pay my last tuition they didnt even want to talk to me. Complete waste of time and money. I do not reccomend.you better off going through the ace classes much cheaper and you'll have a better chance at getting a job. Dont make the same mistake i did.

homeboy casa: This school is good. Come to the class on time, ditch your cellphone and pay attention in class and try to learn from the teachers. Mr. Latif, Koby and Bruce are great teachers. Read the book when you can to get a good understanding of how things work even though the teachers will give you all what you need to know. Miss Roxana , Regba and Gelila are great help. Also Miss Twana needs to get all the credit for getting the employers to come to the school. I know Mr. Latif help in doing that too. He goes to HVAC companies to tell them about CET. The director Mr. Sal is cool and flexible to work with your work schedule. The clocking system is good but make sure you punch in and check with your teacher, otherwise stay on the top of your hours to finish the program on time and good luck.

root views: Positive: ValueI learned a a lot from Cet , good environment good teachers . After graduation 6 months later find a job
Response: Thank you for the review. We wish you continued success!

Bashir Naeemi: This school gave many people jobs certification to work legally on the field, but so far if this is not ur passion and ur not intrested don't take it like I did, for the who is familiar with tools a nd refregration this is exactly the place to grow up, best of luck my friends
Response: Thank you Bashir for the review. Selecting the right program for your future career is a big decision.

Will Burruss: WORST SCHOOL EVER.Waste of time. Teachers don't care. The director always has an attitude and is always on vacation. Don't waste your money.
Response: We strive to create an atmosphere of learning, giving our students the skills they need for the workforce. Our qualified instructors are in sync with the needs of industry. You can look up our placement rates and other information about programs at https://cetweb.edu/student-consumer/.

Adil DC: Positive: Communication, Professionalism, Quality, ValueI learned a a lot from Cet , good environment good teachers . After graduation 6 months later find a job .I like it ...!

University of the District of Columbia Community College (UDC-CC): what do users think?

Henok D: The most terrible school I have ever been to. Both the main campus and the Community college are the same. A lot of slow, unprofessional, and rude staff who keep yelling at students when they are not even doing their jobs properly. I submitted a certain paper to the Financial Aid office and they told me they lost the paper after weeks that I had to pay about $1700 out of pocket. During the 2020 Pandemic, I tried to contact them as I was having difficulty to waive the Student Insurance that is provided through the school because I already had an insurance coverage; no one answered my call until it was due. And now Miss Gaskon told me that I have to pay about $1300 for the coverage I never needed. Mis Gascon was there in 2018/19 when I had the same issue; she helped me waive it then. I could not go to her office in 2020 be a of Covid restrictions. I tried to solve the issue communicating with them but nothing got better yet. I would not recommend anyone to go the UDC unless one needs a headache. I cannot deny that there are some great Professors such as Prof. Sonnie Abebaku. However, individuals are very helpful to us, it’s overall experience at the university that makes a difference in our academic lives. So far, my overall experience is just TERRIBLE!

Danielle Carroll: I went to school here for my AA and it was a breeze. Yes the admissions needs some work (never fixed it) but the education, the teachers and the school itself is fine. It's so affordable and you can always learn something new. I got a paid internship through UDC and even though with it's slight hiccups, this school is still great. I'm at the main campus now working on my Bachelors and I'm 16 classes shy of finishing. Don't pay the haters any mind.

Edgar E: Worst administration I have ever had to deal with. Not only do they never respond to email or phone calls, they can't even keep track of ELECTRONIC applications, that required my daughter to submit 3 times and be forced enrolled late into classes due to their incompetence. But they also can't even have the literacy to read the applications correctly to charge the correct rate to students. They went ahead to charge not only my daughter but several other students out-of-state resident rates when all their applications illustrated DC residents. Like how can you not even read what's on the applications! How many other students were charged nearly 3 times when they should have been charged as a DC residents scares me on the level of corruption and neglect this body demonstrates to it's it's attendees.0 Then to not even have the decency and competence to even respond to emails and calls to try to correct this is just completely absurd, no wonder UDC is a laughing stock of a school to attend they can't even serve as a place to get extra credits for actual schools. How neglectful can you be to students and applicants, like seriously!

Lucien Graves: I was interested in nursing but the department leads never answer even with me contacting them daily for the last 3 months. Not to mention the admissions department takes 2 weeks to email back and never answers a single call. Just go in person, it's faster but still highly unprofessional since they eat and have conversations with others in front of you. You can see why they never answer.

Yesly Turcios: GLEN DOMINA rudest person ever if you are working under a facility and a Student is inquiring on information/assistance you should be able to provide that at your upmost ability but unfortunately that was not the case here..

Danny Hirschfield: I graduated UDC-CC with an AA degree in Liberal Studies Fall Class of 2015 Alumnus. This college really helped me develop my learning skills as I am an older non-traditional student that started as a freshman with very little prior knowledge and discipline in academia. I have transitioned to the UDC flagship campus pursuing my BA degree in Political Science as a pre-law student. This university is the most affordable place to get a good quality education being the only public higher learning institution in Washington, D.C.

Jamilya Allen: Okay So I applied about 3weeks to a month ago and I’ve yet to receive any papers informing me if I was missing any documents or etc. I’ve called at least 5 times a day for about two weeks straight leaving voicemail after voicemail and no one has yet to return my call not only did I call multiple times I have also emailed them multiple and no response. It’s ridiculous what’s the point of having an admissions office if they not even going to pick up the phone, guide you in the process of being admitted or anything else like you guys get paid to do nothing it’s sad.

h T: This University has only good professors! But getting a Bachelor from the UDC will not get you a job!! Their jobs faire is just to get a website from the companies and brochures lol!

Jordan Stewart: The financial aid lady with gray hair and dreads is disrespectful af. Most of the staff here are disorganized and rude. I disenrolled 2 months ago. When I went to disenroll the lady was eating crab legs in front of me. Come to find out she never really disenrolled me, and I had to go back up there today. Smh. I really wanted this to work bc I’m a Dc Resident but I’m enrolling at PGCC.

Duke Ellington School of the Arts: what do users think?

Gina Lee Thomas: My daughter is a freshman at Duke Ellington. She has wanted to attend the school since she was six years old. She LOVES it. Duke Ellington School is such a wonderful experience for these children. Kids who are driven by the arts are special. These kids find it difficult to navigate in some school environments. Ellington is a place where they not only survive…they thrive!

jayesh lakkad: Verry good school. Im from Indian state Gujarat

Maddie Grant: Awesome music school, taught by actual practitioners of the various arts.

Zion Callaham: This is my second year at Duke Ellington School of the Arts and I am in love!!!!! No school is perfect, but as far as I'm concerned, this comes close.

William Young: What a School!!! If My school was like this I think I would spend more time there than At home Amazing

Jamed Sutton: A very good school,Many of the students performed well in college.

Krys J: The office staff are rude and they are very unprofessional . I cant wait until my daughter graduates next year!!

Nexford University: what do users think?

Andrew Maranhão: After throughout inspection I can tell you this: They are nowhere near as accredited as they lead you to believe. If you seek a degree with them, you are putting yourself in a risky situation and they put effort into not making this clear. I highly recommend that you check Degree info forum for an even more throughout view. The accreditations they mention are limited at best and misleading at worst: Locally accredited in Washington DC means any company outside of it might reject you as candidate. The other accreditation, by ASIC, was created to prevent fraudulent visas in UK and in their own words is not an endorsement to the given degrees nor a guarantee of their validity. In the past, ASIC has accredited many fraudulent universities that turned out to be scams, such as Axact schools. The most important accreditation from the Department of Education of the USA is missing as of time of writing. The teaching staff is mostly made of visiting professors, which is not a problem per se, however - in the degree info forum, a Nexford representative added links to the CV of their teachers and after 1.5 years all except for the representative have left the company. Glassdoor reviews also point to messy administrative practices. Nexford is not an university either, the term university requires more than one college, and this is not the case at all. Every social platform has been rigged, from maps to quora and facebook. Every review reads like marketing testimonial and rarely are there shy reviews like you would expect. You'll also notice that most reviews are from Nigeria and some from India, as an international student myself I can tell you we are especially vulnerable as international educational legislation is a very cumbersome knowledge to acquire - and we also often lack comparable US standards to factor our recommendations. In my personal experience, their support is horrendous: they will reply to you with a generic marketing email without addressing your question whatsoever. And when probed, just asked me to redirect the email to another address - that's no support at all, it shouldn't take 3 emails to have a yes or no answer. What they have going for them is low cost and a high degree of flexibility, but in the face of everything I presented I can easily tell you that it is not worth the risk. Even if the cost is low for you, the price of time is far less worth it. Affordable and highly flexible education are great concepts, but without accreditation it boils down to good intentions. Nexford consistently puts a lot of effort into marketing, but lacks the credentials to sustain their claims. You can pursue a degree with them, but be very aware that your degree does not hold accreditation weight, therefore you might not get a job or raise if this is what you are looking for. Also, the company behind it tries its best to not give you this information.

Paul Adedeji: Nexford University is a considerate institution that offers excellent academic service at a very affordable price. Learners also enjoy the flexibility and freedom to complete their program at their desired timeline. At Nexford University, it is possible to complete a Bachelor's Degree program in 14 months. Isn't that fantastic?!
Response: Thanks, Paul, for the great review! 😎

Enobong Eta: I searched for a totally online university and I found it in Nexford University. Nexford cares about the student. Working with you even before you are enrolled, assigning a dedicated success advisor, enabling payments and course duration to fit each individual. The course content is rich, tasking, learning, with teachers and assistants who work and guide you to achieve your academic goals. This has been a remarkable journey. I am grateful that Nexford University enabled me fulfill a life time ambition.
Response: Wow! Thanks for this lovely review, Enobong 🙏🏽 This means a lot to us at Nexford!

Ogbonda Godson WOBO: Joining Nexford University for the MBA program is one of the best decisions I took in 2020. The courses are structured to facilitate learning, improve creativity, critical thinking, and problem solving skills. This program will surely help me to be more productive at work and in the world of business generally.
Response: That's incredible, Ogbonda! 👏 Thanks for the great review & we can't wait to see you conquering the business world! 😉

Kunle Niniola: Nexford University is a citadel of learning. The structure of their programme and courses is unequal. I had initially thought my MBA Programme will affect my other activities but surprisingly, I am still able to attend to my other priorities. Above all, so far, the program has broaden my horizon and has added value to my career. The support from the Success Advisors is also unalloyed. Their speed of response whenever I need their advisory is impressive. Nexford University is a place to be.
Response: Thank you, Kunle! We're so glad that you not only feel our team's support, but also the flexibility of studying at NXU. 💪😉

Olumide Olowoyeye: Nexford University MBA program is one with a class. The in-depth knowledge of the course professors and the professionalism of the learner success advising team is indeed spectacular. I am currently getting high value for the time and resources invested in learning at NXU.
Response: Thanks Olumide for this great review! We appreciate it 👍🏽

Chelsea Chan: Nexford University is new and has not yet gained an international reputation as a worldwide well-recognized university. What has motivated me to study at Nexford? I have not seen any university that is so committed to delivering quality education at an affordable price for people, who aspire to seek career and knowledge advancement but may have been intimidated by insufficient capital in hands. Like Nexford, I believe education is not merely for elite groups in the world. Not only has Nexford extended a scholarship for me to pursue my MBA, but Nexford has been building up my knowledge and skills throughout my studies. It has been half a year already, what I have learnt at Nexford helps me work better. The logical thinking; result-oriented programme planning; knowledge in effective planning and management, and abundant learning opportunities among fellow classmates from different parts of the world further enhance my confidence and efficiency at my multicultural and multilateral workplace. Going forward, I am committed to graduating from Nexford as a dignified MBA holder and utilize what I have learnt for pursuing a senior management level career.
Response: Thank you Chelsea for your vote of confidence in us! 👏🏽 We're continuously breaking new grounds in ensuring quality and affordable education is accessible to everyone.

Destiny Young: In the course of my quest to acquire further academic qualification, specifically an MBA, after my MTECH in Information Technology, I wanted an accredited university whose study programs are conducted entirely online. This was because I did not want any program that will conflict with my other engagements. Because of my lean financial resources, I wanted an MBA program that is very affordable. So, after days of scouting the web, one of the universities I stumbled upon was Nexford University. One striking thing that drew my attention to Nexford University was its strategic marketing campaign. This is a university that has invested heavily in digital marketing. Across all digital platforms, I kept seeing Nexford University ads. From Facebook to Instagram, to YouTube, to LinkedIn, to Twitter. It was at this point, that I decided to research more about the school. I eventually discovered that Nexford University is a newly established accredited American online university based in Washington DC and founded by Fadl Al Tarzi. According to Fadl, he founded Nexford University with a vision to enable greater social and economic mobility through high-quality, affordable education. Believe me, Nexford University is a next-generation university with a difference. Not only has it disrupted the learning system where learners were encouraged to memorize books for exams, it has also leveraged IT to transform how students learn. Once you practically pass the academic rigor of NXU, the knowledge acquired in the process is ingrained in your DNA and sticks like adhesive. Besides being very affordable, at $160 per month, learners have the opportunity of an accelerated learning option. This means, depending on your competence level, you can actually finish the usual 18 months program in 6 months, thereby reducing your overall tuition cost. The faculties are highly qualified academicians and professionals who have distinguished themselves in their chosen fields. Nexford University takes the originality of assignments submitted by its learners very serious. To maintain its standards of academic quality across all strata of the learning process, Nexford University mandatorily requires learner to do a live presentation of certain assignment to the course faculty, to prove that the learner is actually the person doing the assignment. This is one way NXU prides itself about the quality of its graduates. I must say, it has been a rewarding experience studying with NXU, and I am glad I did. If this is what a 2-year old university can achieve, I see a future where NXU will rank among other global universities. Destiny Young Nigeria
Response: Wow, Destiny! Thanks for the stellar and thorough review. We couldn't be prouder having you as part of the NXU family. 🙌

Chinedu Onwukwe: Great School! I am currently an MBA learner. The fee is affordable, course contents are solid. You are motivated to learn. Despite the fact that it is online, be prepared to study and submit your assignments on time. Choosing Nexford was a great decision for me.
Response: Thank you for this cool review, Chinedu! 🙏 Your feedback is highly appreciated. We’re glad to have you onboard here in Nexford. 🙌

AbdulWahab Oyediran (KayOyes): Nexford University has continued to deliver quality and affordable education in recent times with great technology, dedicated staff, access to top-notch contents in the library, diverse learners, and the ever-ready Students Advisors and Professors. With access to affordable but standard and top-quality education, a great place to learn is to join this institution today to have a great learning experience. It promises to be exciting interactive sessions with co-learners and those useful group discussions and support from the course lecturer and the university- A. A KayOyes.
Response: Thank you so much for the awesome review, AbdulWahab! 🤩

Washington Adventist University: what do users think?

Jason Beharry: Got pointed in the right direction when I needed a copy of some medical records.

Kate Jefferson: This school is one of the worst school I have seen, the administrative staffs are nonchalant about one’s future and keep running the business to the ground, they neglect their responsibilities and the school gives no career assistance. Good employees with excellent communication skills had their contract terminated since the school downsized. Also, foreign students are neither offered relief, grant or scholarship funds. In addition, one can never get in touch with a contact person either through calls or emails as they will never respond. I will advise one invests in a better school especially if you are an international student as you will benefit from the outcome. Attending this school is a big regret, since they’ve continuously proved me right, they waste time in preparing immigration documents, never respond to emails or calls and you might end up losing a good job offer.Lastly, the administrative staffs have no God-like characters and forget they were once immigrants. This is my experience therefore, I won’t advise international students to attend this school since we are seen to be non-existent. Nevertheless, the academic staffs are really nice. This is my awful experience, can you guys try and improve especially during this COVID season.

Lashawn H: This school is REQUIRING ALL STUDENTS AND ALL STAFFS TO BE VACCINATED with NO WAIVER that’s terrible people have medical issues that they cannot get the vaccine because it will causes serious reaction and what happen to my body my choice I would not go to a school that does not premier choice! ‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️
Response: Hi Lashawn, In fact we are mandating the vaccine for the health and safety of all of our students and employees. Also, we do offer waivers for health or religious reasons. We are, however not allowing waivers for residence hall students, as they will be living in close proximity, with roommates.

Ashley McMullen: I'm writing this review on behalf of my husband and everything he's gone through. WAU has not handled my husband's issues professionally since the time he started there in 2010. He graduated in December 2014, after his professors cleared him to graduate. It was only four years later, when he went to renew his teaching contract and was receiving an "intern" pay salary that we discovered WAU was not releasing his transcripts because they had him in their records as not graduated. He was missing a 100-level BIO class. This was the first time we had heard of it, and his advisors as well. After trying multiple times over the course of a school year to contact people and resolve the issue, we still aren't in the clear, even after he passed a CLEP exam. WAU has been extremely difficult to work with. He has not received timely responses to his phone calls or emails, he's often left in the dark over the paperwork he needs to complete or have completed by other departments, and this whole situation should have been avoided in the beginning by the registrar's office not clearing him to graduate if a 100-level BIO class was the issue. Unfortunately, this is not unique. We both have had friends who have "graduated" from WAU to find out, when their transcripts are needed, that they have not graduated because they were missing basic level courses not relevant to their careers. WAU will not pardon this, even though it is clearly an institutional issue, so past students are left without diplomas until they finish the courses YEARS later. I do not recommend WAU, and have been so highly disappointed in their lack of professionalism, timeliness, and attention to detail every time I or my husband has worked with them.

milli McDaniel: I am here now but not feeling good.constantly in pain can't get nothing to eat. Starving to death. 3rd day no food. Wanna go home oh and they keep asking have I been smoking.....really?? I don't smoke hardly ever. Point blank. And I'm not stupid I wouldn't smoke in a Damn hospital when I can clearly walk.Duh

Virgin Tama: A former student had to leave Washington Adventist University because they were being discriminated against their race. They went to a different Adventist University. I am glad that Washington Adventist University did not receive the rest of money since they went to different Adventist University. They are pretending to be Christian while doing the work for the devil. They are all about money. They are liar, selfish, wicked, ungrateful, and jealous. They refused to help the students. I am looking forward for them to be punished on Judgement's Day.

Sofia Requena: Vaccines should not be mandatory, especially in an adventist university!!!

Christopher Meier: Expected far greater from a “Christian” institution. Perhaps it may be an administrative issue but I was disappointed with my experience.

DeAndre Barnwell: The computer science department is good it just needs more full time professors.

Mikki Talley (mikkitphd): Classes are overpriced and they handle student debtors like loan sharks do gamblers.

David Lewis: I used to be a Clifton but this school is pretty big but its has Great Teachers & City year very helpful as well.

Charlie 4300: I dislike cardozo high school because of the way teachers teach and they dont provide help for students who are struggling in their classes and most of all i dislike the lunch and the way the principle set up the no cell phone rules for an example: WHAT IF THERE WAS A SHOOTING IN THE SCHOOL AND OR MAYBE A FIRE WE AS STUDENT CANT CALL OUR FAMILIES OR ANYONE ELSE TO LET THEM KNOW WE WONT MAKE IT OUT OF THE FIRE. ME AND OTHER STUDENTS HERE HATE CARDOZO HIGH SCHOOL...

Alex: It’s a good school but it’s dirty. There has been plentyyyy of bugs there this year.

Fortis College: what do users think?

Nnedinma Mbachu: Went here for dental hygiene cleaning visit it took 3 and a half hours and I didn’t even get the cleaning it was just a bunch of uncomfortable exams. The student told me it would only be a 2 hour exam with the cleaning and they didn’t even care that they took this long. The front desk administrator assistant Reina was rude too and no help everyone was acting dumb founded when I complained about how long the exam was. Their instructors Dr. smith and a black lady I think her name was Dr. Harris are rude and not professional they care more about the students getting their assignments signed off then the actual patient in the chair ! I do not recommend this place try and go to a real dental office it’s more convenient.
Response: Fortis College-Landover would like to provide additional information for your review of the dental hygiene program. As an institute of higher learning, the dental hygiene clinic is not a private practice. Typically, students inform patients that appointments are 3 hours in length, and depending on the patient’s oral health status these appointments may take more than one visit. We regret that this was not done. Patients who come to the Fortis College dental hygiene clinic are treated by students who are learning the important steps necessary to becoming a dental hygienist. The faculty provides guidance to students as they navigate the learning process. In addition, the costs for dental care at the dental hygiene clinic, compared to the cost in private practice are much more affordable. Yes, students take more time, but for the care received, it is a value for keeping your teeth healthy. It is our sincere hope that you will return and allow the student to complete your care. Thank you for your feedback!

Chrystal Goodman: I enjoyed several students in the dental clinic. They are learning what was taught in class. I like how the dentists came back and verify with the student. Have patience but overall worth $40. Dentist charges $400 for services. Appointment coming next week and need a cleaning.

Ameena Aaer: Please do not waste your time here. Fortis is a big waste of money and time, especially for certain studies that don’t need for you to go to school. I spent more then half the time here not learning one thing until I got to the two last months of school. This is a nine month program.... there’s no reason why I have to waste so much time and money for little study. Accredited or not there are cheaper to no cost options that you can do. There are so many reviews on how awful this school is and please don’t ignore them. Of course it’s not all bad there are teachers that care .... I’ve been with a few teachers and outta all of them only one can actually teach. Not everyone is suitable to teach but I suppose the “president” doesn’t care just as long as they have a degree. For one class everyday for hours we would just sit and not do anything for 12 weeks .... they are going to try to respond to this so I can talk to someone but if you are not going to compensate me of something don’t bother to reach out this has been an unsatisfactory waste of my time.
Response: Dear Ms. Aaer: While we appreciate your concerns, at Fortis College we are committed to providing a quality education for every student. Our primary goal is to enhance career opportunities through a practically focused course of study. This has been a time-proven path to success for our graduates. Please do not hesitate to contact the campus so that we can respond to your issues directly. We wish you well in your future plans.

John Valentine: My daughter went there for their DA program and it seems like all they cared about was how to get her to pay the most money. The staff there in the business office and financial aid department DID NOT do there job well regarding Graduation

lachay dixon: Do not go here! I was in the pharmacy technician program. Complete waste of time, majority of the time was spent learning the basics of a computer. You do not need to go to school to become a pharmacy technician, if you feel as though you do, please go to a community college.
Response: Dear Ms. Dixon: We appreciate your writing to us about the problems you encountered as a student in the Fortis College pharmacy technician program. We know that over time our curriculum has paid off for many students who’ve gone onto rewarding careers in the field. However, the best way to address your concerns is to contact the program director to discuss your situation.

TAMARA HOLLEMAN: Great place. I sent both my kids there and now my niece...who will move from Texas and stay with us while she attends Fortis. I tell all young kids who come my way. I have them sit at my desk and fill out an application. I just can't say enough about the College. I'm so thankful and grateful to those who've mentored and supported my kids. I give a shout out to Ms. K. Moore, Mr B. Solomon, Mr. Robinson and Ms. Renata. Thanks for making a Difference!!!!
Response: Dear Ms. Holleman: Thank you for your kind words and your support! Knowing that you’ve sent both your children to Fortis as well as encouraged your niece and others to attend our college is gratifying. The strongest endorsement for an educator is earning the trust of a parent who wants nothing more than to secure a bright future for her children. We take that responsibility very seriously and will try to live up to your expectations every day. Be assured that we will certainly pass on your good wishes to our faculty so they can celebrate your success!

Crystal T: I cant tell you how many times I called and requested a call back from the website and have yet to receive a call back or zoom meeting … Absolutely unprofessional… I have attended many schools and one thing I know is if the administration of the school has poor service then it’s best you look for another school. If you are considering attending I highly recommend you look at some other institutions trust me don’t do it !!!
Response: We apologize for the lack of communication. Please email your Program Chair or Lead Instructor so that they can follow up appropriately. We wish you the best in your academic career!

Yazmin: In Md there are 3 community colleges offering dh program ccbc bccc and fortis if you are reading this its most likely for dh program all of these schools are run the same very unprofessional, they treat the students with no respect and are unorganized just take students money. This is sad and gives me no hope as a dental hygiene programs its the people who are running these programs that are letting the faculty do what they want, be unorganized and when students speak up they just ignored!! These professors are rude do not care to properly teach even administration this is a joke :/
Response: Dear Yazmin: We appreciate your concerns about our Dental Hygiene Program and encourage you to reach out to the Program Chair directly so that we can address each issue individually. Our goals at Fortis College are to build student skills and confidence so they can serve their community as dedicated health care providers. To that end, we’re proud to say that all of our dental hygiene students achieved scores of 100-percent on both of their latest national board exams!

Mina Evans-Alston: The educational experience students are having at this institution is unacceptable. I would also suspect that due to the demographic they serve there is explicit bias that is occurring. As a another student has stated I would recommend every student that is experiencing difficulties with the leadership to contact your state representative. The school is receiving federal and state funding and have to meet very specific requirements to maintain accreditation and certification. With the consistency of these complaints, I’m confident they are not. The director can ensure that her staff treats all students with respect and are committed to what they are being compensated for. She must remember it’s a business arrangement. The students and state pay you to deliver value and if you are unwilling to adjust then you leave no other choice but resolution through escalation at the legislative level. Extremely disappointed.

Maria Campos: What happened to graduation? I haven’t heard nothing about it and I finished school in February it’s now may I feel like y’all had 9 months to plan graduation so what’s the hold up ?

Aviation Institute of Maintenance: what do users think?

Leilani Iona: Personally I love being an aviation mechanic so attending this school is a nice refresher for certain topics and goes more in depth with things I only held basic knowledge on previously. If you have the time and wanna spend the money investing in a career I'd recommend attending. If you're prior service, get with a FISDO and rap about credentials and previous experience to see if there's a way toward taking certain tests sooner. When it comes to the avionics program, do what the Lord leads you to do ;)
Response: Hey there Leilani, it's nice to hear that you share the same passion as we do for aviation maintenance. Thanks for the review, fly high! ✈️

REDZ OPS: Allright time to settle things once in for all, this isnt ur top notch mechanics school. Yes, the staff is sometimes slacking but thats expected everrywhere else. Teachers are actually really good and All mechanics have more than 10 years of experience. Heres the catch: IN my 6 month experience, They are mechanics not teachers so, they actually are amazing a ripping and fixing engines but, they are not good at teaching it to students due to the fact that they are not trained to teach but trained to fix. You must put in the upmost hard work to pass, its hard i wont lie to you.

Scott Estes: They did their best rep dirty... it was and is Personal... I can say so much, but, no need. They are losing more students then they can recruit. The writing is on the wall, sad they had to fabricate rather than exercise "At Will" option. I know people... Wonder how quickly I can reach out to Congressman B Scott, he needs to hear directly from one of the horses' mouths. Good luck!

Derek Schiter: First off all of the good reviews here are lies. This review is for the "Washington DC" campus which is not in DC but in Manassas VA The tuition when I started was around 50k I don't know if it has gone up or not but I do know that the tuition isn't on the website and the probably wont tell you on the phone. The "recruiters" for lack of a better word, will just try and get you to come and do a tour. I'm pretty sure that none of them know anything or very little about aviation but they will give you a pair of safety glasses and walk you around the building showing you all of the "state of the art" equipment and talking about the how great the program is and the great future you'll have as an aircraft mechanic. These guys are equivalent to car salesmen with the ways they try and get you into the program. The guy that got me into the school stopped working here after 2-3 months after I started. The day classes are 7:30AM to 2:00PM Monday through Thursday, you get a 10 minute break every hour and a 50 minute lunch break. when you start they will give you 4 school shirts, the shirts are the uniform and you are required by the dress code to be worn every school day. The dress code requires other things such as no hats, no hoodies (unless it is the 20 dollar one that they sell) and some other things but the only one that they enforce and is the shirts. There are 16 different classes or "blocks" they don't send you through in numerical order. Depending on the class and the instructor some class time is spent in the shop, in the shop you are required to wear safety glasses at all times( the DOE will be sure to come by and remind you to put some on if you aren't wearing any but most of the time he wont be wearing any while he's out there). All of the Tools and equipment (planes included) are a bit worse for wear and there will be times when a specific tool is needed but its either broken or missing. The instructors are a mixed bag some are really good and give you an opportunity to learn a lot others spend majority off class time off topic and some don't teach at all and you spend a few weeks doing nothing. attendance is mandated by the FAA and you have 24 hours of class time each block that you can miss however you have to make up the hours you miss by doing assignments which are either essays or assignments where you use your book to make up questions then answer them. The amount of questions you need to make up or words you need to write varies on the instructor some give more assignments for less time than others. If you miss more than 24 hours or fail to complete the assignments you fail the block and will have to retake it ( and pay again). One Instructor; Steve Clarke is so strict with the time that he wont even let you leave to go to the bathroom. The rules for the deficiencys are a unclear and Mr.Clarke will take advantage of that being strict for every minute you miss of class time but will spend most of the class time having off topic discussions rather than doing actual work. you are also required to make up time missed due to weather delays. holidays that fall on Monday through Thursday are made up on a Friday. With the 24 hour limit things like getting sick could determine if you have to pay 2k to take the class again. Due to the location of the school many students have a long commute to and from school. This puts us in a position where its difficult to work a sustainable amount of hours and still get enough sleep to wake up on time to get to class on time. Me personally I have to be out of the house by 5:30 AM at the earliest and usually don't get home until 10:30 PM at the earliest. so take all of this into account before making your 50k decision. If you come to learn you will be able to learn still however I think for the price it should be better. If I had the chance to make the decision again I would still choose AIM because sadly this is the only place in the reasonable area were I can get my license. I would recommend any prospects to research other schools.

Honest Reviews: I urge you as a reader to disregard and discredit all the reviews about the staff being great as many of them were written by staff that work at the school. I can tell you from personal experience that this school is sub-par and overpriced compared to other schools qualified to prepare you for taking the A&P written and oral exam. Staff is poor, atmosphere is poor, and the selling point that recruiters give you about getting a high paying job is just not true. Don't get swindled into coming to the Aviation Institute of Manassas. Trust.. the recruiters will call you over and over to dissect what what your career goals are so they can give a untrue image of what your getting in to. And yet I emphasize again that all the reviews about the staff are false. I you agree with this review give this a thumbs up

Janet Ransell: As far as my experience goes this school is very good. The instructors are top notch. They will go the extra mile for you. It is challenging, but if you study you will do well. The good thing about this school is the Career Services and Student Services department. They help with resumes, interviews and other stuff. I never had that in community college. I am glad I choice this school and would refer my friends.

Darian Ryder: If you have any other option take it, especially if you're military. My spouse has been at this school and they have been improperly putting his enrollment information in to the VA causing completely missed housing allowance or having it be cut in half. Trying to pay rent is terrifying even with other income because we're never even sure if its coming. It's a shame that this school(as a whole or just its financial department) is so inconsiderate of its students and their living conditions that they don't even put their paperwork in on time. Don't go here. Dont give your GI bill to a school that cares more about your money than they do about educating you.

jasmin coleman: This is a wonderful school that will provide you with the knowledge and training to succeed in the world of aviation. The instructors and management team provide an educational environment for students to excel and transform their lives. I encourage anyone who is considering taking their career to the next level to visit this campus and learn more about their program as you will not be disappointed.

djemy raha: Block 2 will be clueless with a guy name James. Don't give up but he'll make you question everything. Today Mr.James asked me what world I was from because I asked him to specify on an assignment. The lack of respect he has for himself is surprising, he will keep on getting worst every class. I highly suggest the teacher gets a teaching degree. So when his behaving like a lazy child he can not pronounce or explain subjects clearly, I could not understand him. For a person with speech difficulty he has a lot of guts to insult students, when asked to clarify he belittle the student then makes a mockery of you. The 30 years experience in His career of mechanic experience is only good for his ego. I have only restrained myself not to leave the school because of Debt I'll have to pay. I don't give in to anyone, This man should not be teaching a class and getting paid for it. He sits all class even when presenting a presentation. and we read and do quizzes and projects with no class lessons. June 8, is the second last day. It almost over being in this hell of a class with this poor instructor. Aviation Maintence really waisted our Money on providing us with this unprofessional insulting idiot.

Grace Hernandez: Everyone from staff to students are amazing. Staff works hard to keep standards high and students commit full time for a better future. Aviation is an amazing growing industry and AIM commits to continue growing for the future generation.❤

SouthEast Welding Academy: what do users think?

Benjamin Camm: Thanks to SouthEast Welding Academy I was able to obtain my 6G Pipe Welding Certification. Which afforded me the opportunity to enhance one of my teenage goals while working at the age of (18) for the Newport News VA Shipyard. At that time I was responsible for grinding out beads, miscellaneous, firewatch and cleaning up for safety purposes. Now I'm a member at Ironworker Local Union #5 helping build up The Nations Capital of The United States of America.

Dallas Woodruff: Positive: Communication, Professionalism, Quality, ValueI finished this school a year ago. There staff is very very helpful in whatever assistance you need and the instructors are excellent in teaching the weilding skills needed to gain employment in that field 👍. I strongly suggest those in the DMV area to give the academy a try before coming out your pocket for a class

J Burton: The staff are all awesome, and my welding has really improved. I'm set to qualify for 6G pipe welding. It's great.

Alex Parra: Critical: CommunicationWould like to see what this school is about but they never answer phone, even during the hours of operation posted on there website

Marika Crawford: Recently started this class. Definitely a diamond in the rough. Worth every penny and opportunity.

The George Washington University: what do users think?

Quinn Peters: This university is ruled out as a possible location for my children to attend. As long as that fraud of a justice Clarence Thomas has a professorship here, I’ll never give this place a red cent and I’ll pray every day for it’s ultimate failure.

Dominick Withanachchi: Love the way its situated. If you like a university in a big city, this is one of the best.

SusanTerry Beverly: A lovely city campus. However there are signs of vandalism showing. Let's be cognizant of our surroundings at all times and put an end to this type of behavior immediately.

Ittipat Prapaprasert: Known as 'G-dub' or 'GW', this university has been a bedrock of Washington identity since its founding in 1821. Besides shaping much of the American political landscape, GW has shaped the capital itself, buying up town houses on such a scale that it is now the city's second-biggest landowner after the federal government.

bayazid ahamed: George Washington, the first President of the United States, advocated for the establishment of a national university in the U.S. capital in his first State of the Union address in 1790 and continued to promote this idea throughout his career and until his death.[8][9] In his will, Washington left shares in the Potomac Company to endow the university. However, due to the company's financial difficulties, funds were raised independently. On February 9, 1821, the university was established by an Act of Congress first as Columbian College and then as Columbian University, making it one of only five universities in the United States with a Congressional charter. The university's undergraduate and graduate schools includes the Columbian College of Arts and Sciences, the Elliott School of International Affairs, the GWU School of Business, the School of Media and Public Affairs, the Trachtenberg School of Public Policy and Public Administration, the GWU Law School and the Corcoran School of the Arts and Design. GWU's main Foggy Bottom campus is located in the heart of Washington, D.C., with the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank located on campus and the White House and the U.S. Department of State within blocks of campus. GWU hosts numerous research centers and institutes, including the National Security Archive and the Institute for International Economic Policy. GWU also has two satellite campuses: the Mount Vernon campus, located in D.C.'s Foxhall neighborhood, and the Virginia Science and Technology Campus in Loudoun County, Virginia. GWU is classified among "R1: Doctoral Universities – Very High Research Activity".The university offers degree programs in seventy-one disciplines, enrolling around 11,000 undergraduate and 15,500 graduate students. GWU is home to extensive student life programs, a strong Greek culture, and over 450 other student organizations. The school's athletic teams, the George Washington Colonials, play in the NCAA Division I Atlantic 10 Conference. GWU also annually hosts numerous political events, including the World Bank and International Monetary Fund's Annual Meetings.[14] The university's alumni, faculty, and affiliates include 16 foreign heads of state or government, 28 United States senators, 27 United States governors, 18 U.S. Cabinet members, five Nobel laureates, two Olympic medalists, two Academy Award winners, and a Golden Globe winner.GWU has over 1,100 active alumni in the U.S. Foreign Service and is one of the largest feeder schools for the diplomatic corps.

Garth Hedley: Amazing complex, beautiful buildings and friendly atmosphere.

Steven Zimmerman: an outstanding University for our son to obtain his Masters in Public Health

Anthony Scott: While the food was descent, the service was so so. Once the cashier finally paid attention to us and we were able to order, she was very friendly. But prior to taking our order, she continued to talk to another employee and chat about non work stuff and ignore customers. The sweet potato fries and grasshopper shake were very good.

frfrpr: Can't believe the University has not addressed the rat infestation problem. Scary

Taylor Fain: Very disappointed in their response to covid. Forcing students who have children to go back into classes of 150 people. Very irresponsible and not taking safety seriously.

School Without Walls: what do users think?

Nicole Pendergast: Such a picky school

Elton Levingston: A vast majority of the students are ready and eager to learn at the next level. Their arrogance may get in the way of them learning more but they do work hard. This was a four month sub assignment so there was a lot to experience. Having taught in other countries these students seemed ready to compete at the upper managment/lower executive levels with a few outliers to the top and one or two to the bottom. The lead administrator needs to be (and probably will be) replaced soon, but the faculty and staff are very capable. The teachers were very strong educators and the focus on outcomes filters down. The teacher's lesson plans demonstrated an exact expectation of outcome and the students' behavior reflected that intensity of purpose.

Ryan Nock: One of the best high schools in all of existence 10/10

Rick D: Best high school experience in the DMV.

Lloyd Fickes: Lived just block away in 1958.
