Cassaundra Young: Washington Center for Dentistry is such a fantastic organization! Everyone is courteous, professional and accommodating. Dr. Fordjour is easily the best dentist I’ve had! I came in on several occasions and not only is his work exceptional, he was patient with answering my many questions and put me at ease! It’s not every day you actually enjoy going to the dentist but if you must go, I highly recommend this practice!

From my first visit over 10 years ago until now I felt best taken care off from the front staff, to Rachel my hygienist everyone is super professional and caring. Marie-Flore JOHNSON: I cannot recommend this dental office enough. It is wonderful! Excellent dentists. Caring and experienced staff. Very gentle. They care about your teeth and are honest. No trying to rip you off. They also do everything to make sure you do not feel pain. One of the staff, Trina, worked way after hours one time when I needed some dental business paperwork. She could have waited to provide it to me later on, but wanted to make sure that I had it. They are all like Trina. Very professional, oriented towards service and excellence.
Maura O'Sullivan: Close to five years ago I had a really bad toothache for few days. I went to few dentists and no one could tell me what was wrong. Finally I called WCD and made an appointment and to find out it was a root canal. Dr. Katsaros took care of it. I was so relieved and happy. Everyone at WCD are professional and helpful. I especially love Rachel who is my new hygienist. She is outstanding. She gives me a thorough cleaning. Very gentle. Answers all my questions. The absolute best!!!
Wanda Wheeler: I have been going to WCD for a few years now and I always receive exceptional service and care. Dr. Fordjour is an excellent dentist and all of the hygienists and front desk staff are consistently professional and proactive. In particular, Katrina (front desk) went above and beyond to handle an insurance billing concern I had a few months back. While I wish that my insurance could be billed directly, WCD is prompt with sending out invoices so that insurance reimbursement is quick and painless.

Cindy McFarland: I was traveling to DC for work and part of a tooth broke off. DC Dental Spa was able to get me in same day. They were so nice and accommodating. Dr. Hoang laid out all of the options for me and made a recommendation. Then they explained what my insurance covered and what I would owe before they did the work, which I appreciated. I walked away with my tooth fixed until I could get home and have my dentist put on a crown. Great experience!
Daniel Tellez: Never had such an unprofessional experience at any doctor, dentist, optometrist, etc. I came in for a root canal and ended up getting the tooth cleaned out on the first visit, set up a payment plan that day with an $800 deposit, and penciled in my second visit to finish the root canal. Dr. Huang was not personable at all but he did the job fine - which is all I expect. On my second visit, Dori explained that there had been an error and they actually couldn’t do payment plans, even though we had set one up already signed and everything. Their prices are higher than other dentists in the area, and I could not afford the entire work and went home. Not a few days later, the area became reinfected and I ended up needing an additional cleaning that cost me over $500+ extra. I ended up paying for the entire thing - which again I really couldn’t afford and I explained that to them - just so my tooth could be saved and I could avoid the ongoing, excruciating pain. I would have fought them, as they were clearly in the wrong, but my pain was unbearable and I just needed the tooth fixed. If you are rich but don’t care about getting your money’s worth, then I guess this place might be for you. But for anyone else, go somewhere else where they will treat you like a human or at least justify their prices. I still have the payment plan documents in case they want to deny this.
Lot By: I have been coming here with my sons since I have been in DC for over 5 years. The staff is great. The service is excellent. My questions are always answered about my growing sons teeth and exams are provided each time I request. I thank DC Dental Spa for taking care of myself and my family. KT: I found DC Dental Spa when I was looking for a place to have emergency dental work done. I was have a horrible, throbbing toothache for a few days and ended up needing to have a root canal repaired, which was also done here. The dental work was pretty painless (I do have high dental anxiety) and the receptionists and dental hygeniests were very instrumental in creating a comfortable experience. They were kind and informative.

Each process was explained thoroughly by the technicians and dentist. The technology here is advanced and painless (yay!). The dentist made me feel comfortable as he worked on my teeth. LJ Ferebee: Very friendly staff. Took care of me quickly and promptly. Indigo made the X-rays and picture session so fun because it never is. Thanks to Emily for squeezing me into her busy schedule. She and Dr. Jones took the time to explain everything going on as well as answering any questions I had. The front counter staff, Stephanie and Evelin were so nice and friendly, taking the time to welcome me into their office for my first time! Maya Drummond: Dr. JJ, Olga (the hygienist), and Pedro (the dental tech) were fantastic and all the front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The paperwork was sent in advance, so I could complete it ahead of time. They verified my insurance in advance and explained my benefits. They told me how long my appointment would take and were on time. The location is also right at the Waterfront metro making it easy to travel to. They did a fantastic job cleaning thoroughly and flossing with minimal pain. They explained the results of the x-rays and images and addressed all of my concerns including cleaning and adjusting a mouthguard made by a different dentist at a different practice. I am so relieved to have found my new dentists after a few years of searching! Looking forward to coming back for my next cleaning!

Deliliah Johnson (LaLa): Honestly one of my Better experiences at the dentist. I was an emergency new patient who needed a wisdom tooth extraction. The office was absolutely beautiful and clean, all the staff was nice and welcoming. His assistant was well knowledgeable and super nice as well . Dr.Bronner seems to have a passion for what he does and did not treat me like a number. The extraction itself took less than 5 minutes and minimal pain. I was so scared and they exceeded my expectations. I will absolutely be back for all my dental needs

Metzlal Ocbazghi: Much-deserved 5- star rating from me! I had a true dental emergency - severe tooth pain with less than a day before my flight out of town. Dr. Brown and the entire staff at Presidental Dental Group went above and beyond to schedule two visits within hours of calling and even pulled strings to get me in to see a specialist first thing in the morning. I was talked through every step of the process and everyone I spoke with was thoughtful and caring. They also worked with me to ensure that my insurance covered as much of the cost possible. Sam Mengistu: Dr. S. Is a great clinician. Not only was she knowledgeable, her bedside manner is impeccable. I felt comfortable and at ease with her. She is very skilled and I am very happy with the work she has done. I had some crowns and fillings done by her and I am beyond happy with her work. I was anxious about the procedures and she walked me through everything from start to finish. I definitely would recommend her to anyone and have even brought my whole family and friends to be her patients. She is great! The rest of the staff is great too, over all I am very satisfied with this dental office and plan on being a lifelong patient here.
Rachel Schmidt: I really wanted to love DC Pearls. I have gotten so many recommendations from here so I decided to give it a try. The staff was phenomenal, and I felt very welcomed. However, after a very quick look at my teeth I was told I had four cavities. I have never had a cavity before and my teeth are in great shape. I was so shocked but unfortunately I trusted them. They convinced me to get one filling during my cleaning appointment, and then make a follow up appointment (with a $50 deposit) for the other 3. After I left the appointment, I began to second guess DC Pearls. I made an appointment to get a second opinion from my lifelong dentist. After reviewing my x-rays, they unfortunately told me that there was no evidence of a single cavity. As if an unnecessary filling wasn’t frustrating enough, it is still extremely sensitive nearly 3 months later. If you consider DC Pearls as your dentist, please please please consider getting a second opinion before allowing them to do work on your teeth.

It’s always a warm greeting from the time I walk through the door until I wave goodbye at the end of my cleaning. The dental team is thorough in ensuring that you understand everything about your dental health and if there is a problem they will discuss and provide all the options available. I’m so glad I listened to my mother and joined the DC Pearls family and my beautiful smile shows it.
A FreeSoul: What an experience. I had thought I had been taking care of my teeth throughout the pandemic but luckily enough I decided to come in and see Dr. S 😬 It didn’t take long for her to sit me down and start the examination, as she went over my x-rays she made sure I understood what she was seeing and any questions I had she answered thoroughly. Once we got to the actual cleaning she made sure I was comfortable and stopped anytime I needed to to take a break. Afterwards she continued to check in on me and see how I was feeling, giving me aftercare tips and tricks because of how sensitive my gums were. Her skills are out of this world and I can’t wait to go back again next month to see her! Dr. S for spectacular!
Ornela R: I did not have a good experience with this establishment. The dental assistant was more than 45 min late to see me. Previous to my appointment they wanted to charge me $220 even before I consented to have anything done. The dentist was very rude, brief and abrasive over a topic that should be taken with sensitivity and kindness only to go back to his desk and start using his cellphone. I do not feel like Could patronize an establishment that made me feel very uncomfortable, nor could I establish a long term professional relationship with a dentist that I felt could care less about me. My partner goes here for his dental care and so recommended them to me but neither he nor I will continue do so.
Zac Wall: I cannot say enough about DC Pearls Dental! Went in for a cleaning and dental check up. It’s so bright, clean and fresh. It’s a small office but instead of being cramped it felt cosy. Everyone from the Dentist to the front desk staff is so welcoming and friendly. Punita cleaned my teeth and was gentle and thorough. The visit was both quick and made with complete ease. I know most people don’t like going to the dentist but if every dental experience was like DC Pearls, people would actually enjoy going to the dentist.
Abeba Teklu: Dr. S provided an excellent experience. After having had a previous experience that was not ideal, I was reluctant to find a new dentist that I could trust. Dr.S is thorough and informative, and lets you know every step of the way what’s going on so there are no surprises. Very calming, as well. I’m glad I’m in good hands with Dr. S , highly recommend

He has also hired excellent dental assistants and the office is well run. After my last (particularly grueling) visit for a new crown, he texted me after hours to make sure I was doing ok. He has set the bar pretty high for me on what oral heath care should be.

Each member of their staff is always professional, friendly, and super helpful. They always submit the invoices to my insurance company, so I don’t have to. Ashley has been wonderful (and gentle), working on bringing my mouth back to good health, after I let things slide a little bit. I highly recommend this practice, if you’re new to town or just looking for a change.

M: I can’t recommend this office more! Absolutely love Dr. Sahrai and team. I’ve been having problems with cracked fillings due to severe bruxism. Dr. Sahrai walked me through solutions and explained Botox for this issue. I was hesitant with the procedure as I’m very uncomfortable with needles. However, she and her team were wonderful throughout the entire process. I appreciate their expertise, skill and compassion. With Dr. Sahrai and her team you have absolutely nothing to worry about. I fully recommend going here. You will not regret it.

Craig Kaminski: Dr. Sahrai is by far the most competent and kind medical professional I have ever been been treated by, doctor or dentist. Her office is very clean and modern, she has a very easy pre exam paperwork process so you can complete the documentation easily on your phone prior to your appointment. The staff is also very amicable and welcoming. I will absolutely be using her as my dentist from now on.

Matthew Kilboy: It’s a shame that I have to write a less than stellar review because I really like my dentist. I opted to do the Invisalign treatment after speaking with my dentist. The cost was steep but my insurance covered enough to make it worth while. I am quite happy with the treatment and outcomes. BUT The office manager has been an absolute nightmare to work with. Had to pay for the entirety of my treatment out of pocket because the manager could not seem to file the right paperwork with my insurance company. I was finally able to get everything to my insurance company and they authorized payment, which went to the dentist’s office. I am now fighting to get my money from the dentist’s office. The same money I had to fight to get from my insurance company.
Jaclyn O'Day: Dr. Tsaknis genuinely cares about his patients. He takes time to educate, explain basics, investigate and address the root cause of issues, and empower his patients to improve their overall dental and oral health. At the first visit to City Dental DC the staff took behind the teeth images with this cool little camera device and also X-rays. Dr. Tsaknis pulled up the images/X-rays on a large screen to ask questions, review my oral/dental health history, point things out to me, and spend time educating and sharing ways to improve my dental care regiment. On subsequent visits, he has continued to take time for patient education on things like reviewing the dos and don’t of proper flossing, electronic toothbrush use, and more. In short, Dr. John Tsaknis is by far the best and most thorough dentist I’ve ever seen and I highly recommended him. If you’re looking for a dentist in the DC area, don’t look any further and go see him for thorough, friendly, and customer-focused dental care. Bonus- if you’re driving to their office, there’s free parking behind the building.

Dr. Tsaknis is great, straightforward dentist, and the staff is always pleasant and on point--I have never had any serious complications with billing/insurance and I have always been seen on time. Paul Armstrong: This is the best place for a dentist that I have ever been the orthodontist the dentist the assistants and staff are so knowledgeable. They go above and beyond not to mention with the Covid they are making sure that everyone is safe as can be. They are checking vaccine cards and if you have not been vaccinated they issue a test on the spot to be seen. Abigail Workmeister: THIS PLACE IS A SCAM!!!!! 1 star is generous here. I decided to give Beautiful Smiles DC a chance because the rating wasn’t horrible. But after doing more digging with yelp after my experience, I realized the Google reviews are probably fake and they post them often to keep their rating higher. My initial impression was okay, but a little weirded out that there were so few people being seen. I had x rays and a cleaning which were fine. Until I was asked questions over and over about how much red wine/coffee/tea I drink. I don’t drink any of these on more than a weekly-monthly basis. They acted shocked about the staining on my teeth but complimented how beautiful my teeth were? Anyways they concluded that I needed 5 cavity fillings and 4 sealants. I have only ever had 1 cavity in my life so that seemed weird. Then they offered to do them on the spot (which is where I became extremely suspicious). No dentist that I have ever seen has time to immediately do treatments. They were pushy with explaining payments and having me commit to the treatments. I denied all the services and left that day, saying I would call them back. I never called back after seeing all the horror stories on yelp. Flash forward to now, I just went to my previous dentist about a year and a half after that visit, and my dentist said everything looked good and that I didn’t need any treatments. That place is just looking to make money and will lie to you to give you poorly-done treatments that are completely unnecessary. Complete scam. If you go get a cleaning, fine but please do not accept treatments from this money-hungry scam of a place!!!

Yelena Reznikova: Great experience from start to finish. Everyone I interacted with from the receptionist to the hygienist to the specialist was professional, warm, and competent. I was encouraged to get a deep clean, which I expected given I hadn’t been to the dentist in 2+ years. The results were incredible - it was as if I had my teeth professionally whitened! I also needed to get 3 fillings done. The dentist was able to do all three in <45 min the day of my cleaning. I received an itemized receipt via email, as requested. All in all, very positive experience.

The Ariel Series: Even though I have a dental practice less than a mile from my home, I make the drive to DC - 1 hour each way because I love Beautiful Smiles. As a person with a disability, I am well taken care of at this location. From Day 1, the staff has been accommodating, helping me understand my insurance bills, asking me about my family, and taking good care of my teeth. I had an appointment the day after my child was born early. They accepted my last minute cancellation without a moment’s hesitation. When I call to ask if I can move up my appointment, they grant my request. I plan to continue going to this practice until I cannot fit the drive in my schedule anymore. It’ll be worth your time to consider this practice for dental care! (:

Nadya Ally: This is only the second time I’ve come to Dr. Terry’s (once for a cleaning and once to get a retainer made) and both times have been wonderful. Today, Ila (sp?) was the name of the dental hygienist who prepped the retainer molds before Dr. Terry came in. She was very professional and friendly. Like many people, I get nervous about going to the dentist, but she made me feel very comfortable. She even took me to the alley to show me a mural while we were waiting for Dr. Terry because I told her I love murals. daughter of the MOST HIGH: This office is really something else!!!! I have never looked especially forward to going to the dentist… but! For starters, this place serves wine. Yup. Right when you walk in and admire the pleasant decor, a glance to your left reveals a cooler stocked with (actually very good) wine!! I knew right away that this was a different kind of office! The staff is courteous, accommodating and professional. The dentist is super nice and quite disarming. I had to have two pretty involved procedures, but they were both a breeze because I was fully inclined watching a ceiling TV the entire time. Everybody works efficiently but also quickly so it doesn’t take up your whole day. I totally recommend this office and am very grateful to have found them!

Rachael Smith: Excellent care from start to finish! New Columbia Dentistry has state of the art equipment and a gorgeous facility. Dr. Brewster and his hygienists were all very kind and did everything to make sure I was comfortable. Dr. Brewster found that I needed a few cavities filled. Before scheduling the appointment, I was given an estimate of cost for the procedure with my insurance. It was so nice to know what I would be looking at financially before the appointment. Dr. Brewster did an excellent job with my fillings -it was virtually painless. Highly recommend Dr. Brewster and NCD! Oh and did I mention they have a wine dispenser in the lobby?! : )

drew xeron: Like many of us I am very scared to go to the dentists office. Last year I had an extremely horrible experience with another dental practice in Washington DC. Call my teeth were in really bad shape so I needed to do something and find a good dentist. On the chance and counter I bumped into Dr. Brewster Who happens to live in my neighborhood. I told him my dilemma about the failed and unhappy experience I had with another dentist. He told me to come and see him he will take great care of me. Well after about three months of avoiding the inevitable, my teeth started hurting really bad. My wife made my appointment with Dr. Brewster and he saw me the same day. When I first entered the office they had Covid safety precautions in place. I did most of my check-in before I went to the office online so I only had to fill out a couple more quick questionnaires. The dental assistant who helped me when I walked in (named Vish.) She was super friendly, very efficient and made me feel very welcome right away. In my mind I assumed that he would do some x-rays determine what needed to be done and then have to schedule an appointment to come back at another time to handle the actual procedures. And trust me when I tell you my teeth were a hot mess. Dr. Brewster explained everything to me very clearly broke it down and gave me a plan on the spot. And then to my surprise offered to do all the work on the spot we are talking about a wisdom tooth extraction two root canals and some other stuff. A lot of times dentist will send you somewhere else to get route canals. Dr. Brewster does it all in-house himself. He was sure handed , confident and very efficient. As a matter fact I got to watch a feature length movie while they were doing the procedure. He literally has TVs mounted up in the ceiling so while you were laying back to getting your dental procedure you can look up to the ceiling and watch your favorite Netflix movie. It definitely put me at ease and kept my mind off of the procedures that were taking place His office even works on toddlers and I will be bringing back my wife and son to get their dental needs handled. I’m normally not one to take the time out to give a review New Columbia dental is an amazing dental office. If I could give them more than five stars I would I highly recommend checking them out.

I got some x-rays, and a temporary crown put in on my visit. The air quality was superb and the office was tidied up and cleaned. You will not go wrong with this dental office. Emma Silver: Absolutely loved my visit!! I signed up online the night before as a new patient, for a 7:00am slot the next morning for some tooth pain and I was freaked that I might have a cavity. Everything went smoothly and quickly (they had to fill in some sealant holes, no cavities phew!) and they even were able to squeeze in my cleaning while I was there because someone else had cancelled. We couldn’t be happier with the entire experience. Between the four of us, we’ve been to Dr. Hines 9 times in under four months to take care of all sorts of dental needs. I have experienced anxiety around dental visits for years, but Dr. Hines’ approach makes me so relaxed I nearly fall asleep!

Hoori Hafizi: Dr. Joh is very patient and caring. She is very meticulous about her job that make me trust her more than other dentists. I had a great experience there. I did my crown replacement and it was done without any pain or discomfort. She explained everything very simply that was very understandable to me. I highly recommend DC Dental Care!

Brent Troy David: It is not often you can have a great experience at a dentist office, but I am here to tell you if it’s going to happen, it will happen at District Dental Solutions. Drs. Arroyo & Arroyo (along with their amazing staff), are exceptionally caring and compassionate! They are non-judgmental and have definitely gone out their way to help me with my extensive dental issues, most especially caused by months of chemotherapy to overcome Stage 4 Lymphoma, which almost killed me. After years of not being able to afford proper care, they are doing everything possible for me to address my dental woes. I am truly grateful for their amazing service, compassion, professionalism, and integrity.
Greg Cooke: This is a terrific dental practice. Excellent care, friendly staff. Drs John and Jeremy are thoughtful and skilled as are the hygienists. The administrators are super helpful with insurance paperwork. I can’t imagine going anywhere else for my dental care.
Yelena Skalinskaya: Dr. Jeremy - what an amazing dentist … I transferred here from another practice and have been very happy with my choice! I came in with butchered veneers which Dr. Jeremy fixed up as much as he could, but they were still meh… I kept nagging and nagging about new veneers, but Dr. Jeremy wouldn’t budge - we had to move my teeth first or it wouldn’t look the way I wanted, which we did (thanks Invisalign). I did have major PTSD from my first experience with veneers, but the temp veneers looked so great - I was willing to do whatever. I didn’t stop torturing Dr. Jeremy though, one of the veneers didn’t fit quite right and we had to redo it - but that was quick and easy (for me at least 😅). Also, full disclosure, I take naps at my cleaning sessions - so relaxing! The hygienist literally has to hook my cheek and move my head as I doze off 😂 There’s a parking garage right next to the building - get in before 8:30am and you get a discounted rate 🙌 Finally, they’re in the process of designing a whole new office - I’m sure the space will be hot - can’t wait to see it!

Jamison Moore: Great practice, lovely people, and easy to work with. No run around with billing, no surprises, and everyone is smart and nice. I have no dental drama, but my wife, who absolutely hates all things dental loves this practice. There is a parking lot under the office, was $17 for over an hour, so pretty normal for the neighborhood.

If you struggle with that problem, please switch your regular dentist office to come here for your routine visits. I promise you narrative about dentist visits will change once you step foot into beautiful facility. Actually you don’t even have to step foot in the building to feel the hospitality and professionalism, Ami took my info over the phone and was clear and concise with booking me an appointment same day! Let’s get into how amazing Dr. Bassily and Khina are. They were more than helpful, informative and did not make me feel uncomfortable in any way. Victoria Ouellette: Aesthetic & Family Dentistry on Wisconsin Ave is the most incredible dentist I’ve ever been to! Every staff member is friendly and helpful. From booking to insurance to the services themselves, I am extremely satisfied! I was able to get a desirable appointment time (4:45 pm) that works with my schedule. While there, I found out I needed 2 fillings. During the appointment, Amie checked with my insurance so when I checked out I would know the exact cost to pay when I returned. She also helped me find an appointment just 5 days later to get the fillings! Khina was an amazing hygienist in my cleaning and was very friendly. Lamika was incredible as the hygienist during my fillings. Both Khina and Lamika made me feel so welcomed and talked with me as a person, not just a patient. Dr. Obholz is without a doubt a phenomenal dentist. She talked through every step of both appointments. She helped explain every step that she took and even showed me the pictures of the teeth that required fillings. Dr. O also provided above necessary care in offering numbing gel when she knew it would be a painful area. She talked through what the process would be like at my initial appointment and the day of. She completed both fillings with no numbing and I was in and out of the office within 15 minutes. I felt very comfortable the entire time and I am extremely happy to have found such an incredible office right in my neighborhood. If you are considering booking here, I highly recommend!
