Tea Mansion | DuPont Circle | Washington DC: what do users think?

Julia Cabral: I really liked the dragon fruit drink it was very delicious and has Avery subtle but still tasty sent.

Michael Evans: This place is amazing! Everyone is really knowledgeable and helpful, not just about tea, but the city in general. If you love a hige selection of teas and a great environment, stop by!

Chloe Robertson: Best tea and so many to choose from. We love the it!

Alexander Robinson: Awesome selection of premium teas from all over the world. No artificial ingredients are used in the beverages. All 100% real ingredients which is really the main reason I chose to come here. Plus the staff was extremely helpful and genuinely interested in tea and serving a good product that is all natural.

Joanne Wallace: Stopped by on a trip to DC for unique and delicious loose leaf tea. The young man was very knowledgeable and helpful. For the price I hoped it would be worth it. I was not disappointed!

Anu Batra: I stumbled upon the store today and Julia was extremely professional, patient, detail oriented, and sold me on a bunch of teas. I will be back both for the tea and the pleasant service.

joshua hawkins: Danny and Amanda were awesome!! ☕️ Great Teas

Lady Camellia: what do users think?

Rachel Bell: Lady Camellia is amazing. The finger sandwiches and tea are absolutely delicious. The food is presented delicately and they have a wonderful selection of pasties and scones. The cute decor and antique dishes/tea cups were so fitting for the setting. A relaxing atmosphere to enjoy tea with girlfriends.

Hannah Shachar: I really enjoyed this experience with my mother, sister and kids (8 and 9). The tea was excellent with a huge selection, the sandwiches were delicious with very interesting flavors, and the pastries were also flaky and excellent. Everyone enjoyed their food and tea and the pleasant and intimate atmosphere. I would definitely meet friends or family for tea again there. We were afraid that it was just a gimmick and the food would not be great, but everything was perfect.

Renee Ethier: I have been here several times, and love everything about it. The tea and food selection and quality is great. I never knew I loved clotted cream! I think it is reasonably priced. The ambiance and service are also lovely. The only downside is that you NEED a reservation, and they usually book out a few weeks for weekend reservations.

A. Zerwas Carter: The staff are very attentive and friendly. The food and tea is hands down the best high tea in DC. Cozy space in Georgetown with parking all around. Highly recommend!

Rajiv Dewan: Little, and little is accurate, and awesome tea joint in DC. The scones and pastries are terrific. Good ambience. But make sure you have a reservation. Good service as well.

Smita Bhattacharya: Charming little place. Though we had reservations, we still had to wait a bit, which was a bit awkward considering the small space. The ambiance is very cute and intimate and I loved the details. A bonus is that menu has options for all price points. If you’re used to a European style tea where the portions are limitless, you’ll have to note that here the cost is per serving.

Valley Brook Tea: what do users think?

Jace J: So welcoming and sweet ! Please go support this family owned business . Pistachio rose croissant 🥐???! Who would’ve known ! So angelic to bite into. Great place for business meetings, study dates, and they have items for sale ! If you’d like to see my blog coverage on this cafe follow my Instagram @Jacetravels_ . also I would love to do a in depth blog on your company for some behind the scenes and really learning about the background of your company.

Jack Goon: Great spot for good tea and working/studying! They have lots of natural light, really nice upstairs area, tons of tables, plugs, everything you need.

Matthew Henry: Such a gem! Incredible helpful with such patient explanation of all their incredible teas, tea making and serving devices. Be sure and check out the incense fountain. The tea and pastries are delicious and a wonderful experience. Food should look as good as it tastes, in my opinion. When it does, you have a full sensory experience.

胡倢瑄: Been there twice! The tea is definitely professional. There is a strong flavor for Rou Gui but I do like it. Thanks for the recommendation from the staff. The decorations inside are cute but you still can get some traditional Chinese tea vibe.

Liviane U: I entered this adorable little shop and asked the staff for recommendations. I am so happy I stopped by! The terrace was warm and sunny (on a chilly day) and I loved everything I had. I definitely recommend the taro pastry with black tea! Delicate and delicious!

Isaiah Puder: Great little tea shop. There is plenty of space to read or work either upstairs or on the patio seating. Good selection of teas and pastries as well.

Zheng Jia: Highly recommend. I know the quality of tea is very good and their way of brewing is authentic. It’s independently owned by a couple from the region most famous for high-quality oolong tea. You can also buy gifts there. The interior design is cozy and beautiful.

Love EJ: Various selection of oolong tea.Tried for the first time - very clean and natural interior design

Dolcezza Gelato and Coffee: what do users think?

Emma Jeanie Beanie: The staff are very friendly and helpful in making a decision between all the delicious flavors. I got hazelnut crackle and Swiss chocolate, and enjoyed both immensely. Also, their chai latte is one of the best I’ve ever had! Even though it’s a small shop, there are a few cute places to sit and the atmosphere is very cozy. Will definitely return on our next dc visit!

Sassy Sauce: Nice place but the parking in this area is bad. There is a farmers market every weekend between the metro and this store. A lot of people are in the area to have lunch and shop and it’s difficult to find parking. Also, the gelato is good. There are a few different ones in the city and all of the locations are consistently good. The normal flavors you would expect. Sometimes during the cherry blossom festival there is a special flavor offered. When we went, there a small line but it moved quickly. The flavors are great and the texture is smooth. Always satisfied with my choice.

Arash Tavakoli: We ordered Latte and hot chocolate. Very nice place, welcoming barista, and much less sugar in their drinks which I absolutely loved!

Victoria Quiroga: Nice! The matcha latte was great. No vegan /dairy free sweets though :(

Iris Tan: Recommended by a friend and when we came here we realized that we have been purchased this brand for a long time .. great to get a chance to eat gelato out of fresh lol

sia shetkar: The berries and marscapone gelato makes me wish I lived in DC. Such a cute little shop, and the staff were so nice when I was deciding on flavors. Would recommend!

Timothy Chambers: The gelato was AMAZING- the best I’ve had anywhere. So tasty, smooth, and a terrific span of flavors. The dark chocolate was rich. Loved the Dulce de Leche- my new fave. We enjoyed the service with a smile, the charming atmosphere, and my wife’s cappuccino was really good, too. We’ll be back. :)

Miguel Curiel: Best gelato I’ve tasted in DC thus far. Plus, it is in a vibrant and youthful area so you can easily pass by after eating in any of the multiples nearby restaurants.

India Lindsay: I was surprised by how good their tea is. You gotta try the mango lassi with boba. Such a refreshing, slightly sweet but also tart drink for a summers day

Sylvia Sidney: Ordered two golden monkeys hot tea. Very flavorful sugar not added. Kind of pricey for tea but worth every penny. Will revisit.

james malone: The best place to buy loose tea in the city, they offer many different types from oolong to herbal, as well as tea pots and cups and extras. This is a great place to get a unique gift for those that enjoy teas.

Mary Bogdanovicz: Excellent and knowledgeable customer service. Great place for tea!

Lindsey Lichtman: The boba tea was delicious, and a reasonable price

Winnie Huston: Good food at a reasonable price. Had Japanese tea soup with salmon. 😋

Erica Hanna: Tasty herbal tea blends!

Calabash Tea & Tonic: what do users think?

Marcelle M (Traveling Miles): Unique neighborhood tea shop with so much more to offer. I had a delicious Matcha Maca and a Spinach pastry (so good, just the right amount of heat). Loved the variety of bagged teas and accessories. Can’t wait to try more. Nice seating area outside.

Rebecca Wolf: Calabash is the best! When you come to Calabash, the team will ask you how you’re feeling to help direct you to a healing drink. They also have TONS of goodies to purchase for use at home, too. Their outdoor patio is a perfect way to spend an afternoon.

Nicole Edwards: Great reprieve from the hustle and bustle. Wonderful place for small kids AND fur babies- hard feat in a small space. Delicious, affordable, healthy and staff is beyond helpful and efficient. Great experience!!!!

Larry “Big Schlim” Mcleod: So I first experience the spots tea at Queen Mothers in Arlington Virginia. I was so elated by the freshness, and outright deliciousness of their products, I took a mental note to go to this spot!! @calabashtea Located at 2701 12th St., N.E. Washington D.C., right on the corner, this spot is emitting a Divine Energy on that whole block!! I had their “Panther Par-Tea”Half-and-Half, and their “My Last Good Nerve” Lemonade (cold) when I first tried them…STAMP!! Their products are made with attention to detail, love, and your well-being in mind… Trust that!! . . . On this trip I got quite a few things… so let’s get into it. Firstly I copped their Vegan BLT (pictured with their house made coconut bacon $6.99). STAMP!! It has house made coconut bacon!! It’s the BEST faux bacon I’ve ever had!! . . Next I copped their Veggie Patty (pictured soy free with cabbage, corn, carrot, curry, onion, and garlic $3.99). DELICIOUS!! It reminds me of a pot pie. . . I also couldn’t resist getting their sweet potato pie bite & the cherry pie bite (both pictured at $3.99 each). For these to be vegan, they’re ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!! . . Their chilled tea’s, I got, were all $4.99 each (All pictured). The Triple Goddess Lemonade has Organic Jamaican ginger, Sri Lankan Tumeric, Thai Galangal, & South African Red Bush. It’s a immunity booster, & inflammation fighter. STAMP!! . The Love Potion Chai has a high grade Assam Black tea, Jamaican Ginger, Madagascar Vanilla, Ceylon cinnamon, oat milk, Love, and Chai spices in it!! It’s a feel good tea, a mental stability tea, a LOVE tea…oh and it’s ridiculously tasty!! STAMP!! . I got their Jamaican Ginger Sorrel too. This has organic hibiscus, Jamaican Ginger, Thai lemongrass, Orange Zest, Jamaican Spices, and LOVE!! It’s a detoxifier & a blood pressure regulator!! STAMP!! . Lastly I got their My Last Good Nerve tea…hot!! It has organic lavender, outstraw, Passionfruit, rosehip, LOVE, and I got oatmilk put in it. This tea eases anxiety…STAMP!! . The customer service in establishment is excellent. The store is clean. Their website is easy to navigate. Parking is decent. GO!! That’s it. #bigschlimsreviews

Sydney Browne: When I called to ask if they were open, the owner immediately replied, “Fall through, boo!” And I knew in that moment, I was headed to the right place. From pulling up, to ordering, to sitting in the healing garden, and being accommodated thoroughly, the entire experience was aligned and appreciated. I ordered the BLT (per usual because it’s bomb), the Last Good Nerve Lemonade, An Apple Pie scoop, and a Triple Goddess Lemonade. This meal was everything I needed!! I’m 8 months pregnant, and everyone between the guests and staff, went OUT OF THEIR WAY to make sure I was beyond comfortable. I will always be grateful for that. Calabash Tea and Tonic is one for the books! Don’t meet me there, beat me there because it’s that great.

Kajal Mawa: Okay so there’s a way it’s done, you walk in and you land into a different place. The place has a very trippy vibe! The tea guru asked me what kinda healing I needed and based on that improvised a tea that would cater to the kind of healing required 🤓🤩 It was a different experience and one to cherish! I was delighted to see that my cup read “love is calm” ❤️☕️ I loved the omega bite and the mix vegetables patty too 😍😇

Nils Hünerfürst: Love is free at Calabash. Tasty Vegan Pattie and a very welcoming service. See ya very soon.

Adele E: When you walk into this lovely shop, you are immediately welcomed with a burst of positivity energy. The tea gurus spent time with my friend and I to understand what type of healing we were in need of. He then suggested tea blends based on our needs. They are patient, kind and the teas & lemonades are very tasty

Blanca: I wanted to give this place four stars but I am going to give this place another try next time, because I’m sure they were having a bad day. but when I was asking some questions I felt like the barista didn’t really want to help or explain any of the tea’s into detail or maybe he wasn’t knowledgeable about any of the tea’s. But I did like the vibe and how beautiful the restaurant was. I really love their love potion it’s my most favorite drink

Soho Tea & Coffee: what do users think?

Lisa Smith: My favorite cafe in DC! I come here very often. The place has changed tremendously after the new owners took over. I love their pastries and teas. My favorite is the Green Pomegranate tea. They have happy hour as well. Wine and beer on a great price.

Debra Olson: Delicious coffee and tea, plus delicious pastries. Friendly staff and quite reasonable prices. Nice patio for eating outside or comfy chairs and tables inside. I suggest it for a relaxing weekend afternoon spot.

Michael Kellar: Comfortable cafe, nice service, awesome location. Come to DuPont, get a little off the normal path, and definitely worth a visit while you do something work or just wait for a meeting.

Jamie Gaitor: Liana was a fantastic server! We came in a little after her shift ended but she was happy to take care of us and converse with our group. The coffee was great, will be back whenever we visit DC again!

Spot of Tea - 14th St: what do users think?

Mike Stumpo: Tasty tea! It was awesome to discover this spot inside of Streets Market. I loved the Taro Latte and Blue Jasmine (the tea really is blue). Can’t wait to try the Thai Blossom next time.

Jenn C: Came here a couple times while visiting DC. Grocery shopping AND boba too? Amazing. The staff are all so nice and helpful. I liked that I could customize the sweetness and light sweetness actually is light. Taro flavor is bomb, the draft tea latte was my fav!! So good I want another one now.

Morgan Hah: Not to be dramatic but I do think that Spot of Tea is competing at the highest tier of maslow’s hierarchy of boba!? By that, I mean one need not worry about any of the blocking and tackling because it’s all there - sustainable packaging, freshly brewed ingredients, adjustable sweetness levels, super chewy boba. But even past that, every drink on the menu is super inventive, a little bit whimsical, and refreshing to the last sip. I also adore this tea shop’s mission, which is focused on building local community and taking care of their employees 😌. Most recently, I got the blood orange creamsicle, which I was expecting to be pretty good in a flintstones push popsicle kind of way and kind of blew me away because it hit that nostalgia factor, but also was a lil more tart than one may expect. I think the extra zing made it super balanced. My non seasonal rotation includes the butterfly jasmine tea (pictured below) which is great on its own, also great w milk.🦋 Don’t sleep on spot of tea!

Lindsay Brubaker: I was really wanting to try this place cause the drinks looked so pretty, but as it was out of my way, I hadn’t been until today! Got the blue jasmine with oat milk (at no extra cost!!) and it was delicious. I was also really impressed with the eco straws AND the reusable cup options - if you buy one and bring it back to reuse, you get 10% off. Love to see this!! 👏👏👏also looking on the website, the cups are compostable!!

Courtney Magill: Lavender Earl Grey with boba is just chefs kiss! So refreshing and nice, chewy boba. Everyone who works there is so nice too - highly recommend!

Lindsey Stiles: Located just inside the Streets market (convenient to order and then shop around) We got the Candy Cane Matcha Boba and it was delicious! Also they had the nicest barista working there today - all around great experience 🤗

Tamanna joshi: If you love boba and shopping, this is your place! This neighborhood is lovely and vibrant. Boba service is great! I had tried their red valvet one loved it !

Jessica W: Tea quality and the service are excellent!! The staff is so friendly! I can customize my drink the way I want! I love the matcha flavor. The trip to the tea shop is the best part of my day.

Tynan Coffee & Tea: what do users think?

Jessica C: This place has my favorite lattes/mochas. I think it’s because of the textured milk. Their seasonal honey lavender latte was fantastic — sweet but not sickeningly so. Their ancho chili mocha has the exact right amount of spice. Unfortunately though, these don’t translate to their iced coffee counterparts. If you want a flavored drink, order it hot, as the flavoring separates and you can taste powdered cinnamon (or whatever it is) when served cold. Great selection of pastries including bullfrog bagels. This is always where I go for a treat.

Margot Igland Skarpeteig: Perfect espresso - so sweet! And patient and super friendly staff.

Shey Wilkin: Made a quick stop into Tynan during our trip to DC pre-pandemic. Nothing too memorable, but I do recall it being really close to the bus stop, which made it super convenient, since we were strictly traveling by free public transport at the time. Husband had that delicious looking waffle, egg, and cheese sandwich sitting in a pool of syrup. I think I got a turkey avocado sandwich. I would go here again.

Real Live Blue: The everything bagel, blueberry waffle and turkey sandwich are amazing🔥🔥🔥🔥

Nancy Cosner: Amazing. Chilli ancho mocha. My new fave. I like spicy. This has got just a touch at the end. Barista super helpful and friendly. My first visit. Will definitely return.

Ching Ching Cha: what do users think?

Caty Koehl: Had a wonderful, relaxing time here enjoying chicken rolls, dumplings and tea. The chicken roll was perfection and the tea was enjoyable. The server explained how to brew our teas and they refilled the kettle regularly so we were able to make multiple cups. The atmosphere is relaxing and we never felt rushed. The tea shop section is also great and has a varied selection of tea mugs and pots as well as a small group or tea pets. Highly recommend Ching Ching Cha for a afternoon slowdown.

Andrew Grassette: Cute little place in old Georgetown. They serve a variety of teas. We tried the lunch boxes as well as some of their dumpling and the food was a amazing. This place does get busy and they have a sign in sheet to keep track of who is waiting on a table but worth the wait.

James Wang: Quaint and authentic teahouse and shop that offers relief from the busy DC life. The servers are all very nice and the expansive menu of tea options is divine. I would highly recommend coming in and spending an hour drinking tea and eating the small appetizers they have.

Pelumi Ajayi: It was a really decent Chinese tea house experience. They had a whole booklet of tea options. Oolong, black, green and some fruity teas I believe. Their food collection is very limited and rightfully so given that the tea is supposed to be the star of the show.

Sam M: A very unique and cozy teahouse and shop in Georgetown. This place is pretty quiet and has a great ambiance, a perfect place to relax from busy DC. I was greeted by the waitress and seated immediately. They have an extensive menu of traditional teas and also some unique teas. They had so many good teas, but I ordered Jasmine blossom and peach blossom teas. I also had pineapple cakes, which was recommended by the waitress. Both teas were very flavorful and delicious, but the pineapple cakes were just out of this world! So good! I believe they make them in house too. They also have a lunch box and dumplings, which looked really good. After enjoying those teas, I was looking around the shop. They have a lot of beautiful tea sets and decors. I was thinking about getting some of them, but they were very expensive. Whenever I visit Filomena Italian restaurant, I always try to visit this place afterwards. They are right next door to each other, which is very convenient. After eating a heavy and greasy food, this place is complementary to filomena. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to take a break from the busy city.

Chiara: GET. THE. BEEF. ROLLS! Might be my new favorite food. This place is unassuming but has the best food ever and the tea is great. Very calming experience and the staff are very friendly. I can’t wait to go back!

Bridget McGovern: This is the best tea salon I’ve been to in the DMV area. The atmosphere is calming and welcoming. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable about tea and explain the process of each of the different brewing methods for the different tea types. I couldn’t recommend this place higher.

Angus Bennion: Love this place! There are so many different teas that you can try here. The food is also very good. Not only are the food and drinks good, but they also have lots of tea paraphernalia and books that you can purchase.

Alan C.: Great quiet place to chill and get away from M Street in Georgetown. Relaxing and comfortable vibes. Nice assortment of teas. We ordered a Milk Oolong and a Da Hong Pao both served gongfu style in pretty yixing pottery. The lady gave us a quick lesson on how to make tea in this style. The hot water was left at our table for us to make multiple infusions. The food was also nice and light. Which was very comforting after eating so much highly seasoned food in DC. They also sold yixing pots as well as nice tea ware in their restaurant if you wanted to buy it.

Paul Mc: Excellent. Top tier. Must try. This spot is an absolute gem. It has a cozy tea house vibe, and a great tea variety. The green and oolong teas we tried were outstanding, and you’re given the whole tea set to brew your own tea with. This is a very fun experience, not to mention the deserts are fantastic and pair excellently with the tea. I think the food is less interesting than the tea and deserts, so I’d prioritize those. Staff was attentive and nice as well. Amazing, will come again.

Teaism Dupont Circle: what do users think?

Min Li Fu: What a cute place to go for a meal before/after sight seeing at the White House. They have many unique and common tea selections. The food are Asian inspired and not like what you commonly see in other restaurants. Their cookies also look quite scrumptious.

Jessica Martin: A utterly delightful tea, small plate, and sweets place that never disappoints. A comfortable selection of indoor and outdoor seating perfect for working on your computer or catching up with friends. I got the jasmine crème brûlée which is rich and fresh and the jasmine tea with is perfectly brewed, not bitter at all. Prices are very fair and the servers are kind too. And they have all the information for allergies like gluten on hand if you need it. I’m glad this location stays open until 8.

Bolo 'Ye: This place is great!! I highly recommend it. The food is very delicious, great location very convenient, friendly staff, it’s very quiet inside you can literally come here do your work and no disturbances. You can either sit on the first floor or 2nd to enjoy delicious food. If your looking for a parking garage, LAZ parking garage is 2 minutes driving $10 all day.

Gaby Karakcheyeva: I go here very often and always get great quality food. I usually get the salmon bento box and the star of Africa tea and it never misses. I haven’t been disappointed by any of their food and the service is usually pretty quick depending on what you get, I’ve never waited more than 10-15 minutes

Ido Simyoni: Went for lunch. Counter service only. Even though we set upstairs, we had to come down to get our food. They messed up my order but fixed it within couple of minutes . Food was good After all.

Ronak Patel: Come here!! Not only is there a wide selection of teas and beverages, they have really great food. While we only came for some tea and an appetizer, it was all made exactly how we wanted it and one of the employees suggested these broccoli tots after I had ordered another broccoli appetizer (so I followed her suggestion) and I was not disappointed!

Angelique Turner: Very traditional, elegant British tea. Great for special occasions but a little pricy. The sweets and biscuits were great. Very tasty. Strawberry and apple butter very good. The sandwiches were tiny and not enough substance. One bite per one. A great selection of teas for everyone to choose from. Nice service. Very good live harpist.

Sabina Buendia: The best high tea in town. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, live music and amazing vibe.

Maggie Howell: Went with a group of girlfriends, and overall had a nice experience. The tea bites and tea/champagne are the best part, the bites are carefully curated and were delicious and fresh. Only 4 stars because the service wasn’t 5 star quality and a little rude. Overall had a fun time however, and would definitely come back in the future sometime. Thanks!

Temperance Black: Our afternoon tea at the Willard was magnificent. The food was exceptional the service professional and friendly. It was everything one would expect from an Intercontinental establishment. Thank you for checking an item off my bucket list. Special thank you to Deemak and Chef Luca.T. Black

Robert Austin: Had tea for two here, with a vegan menu. The food was complex, lovely, and filling. The tea was beautiful. Perfect ambiance, with a harpist playing and all of the guests well dressed.

Meghan Kahn: We had a truly lovely time, the harpist was wonderful and the fare was thoughtfully done. Special thanks to Janet in marketing at the Willard, we had a birthday and she made sure the details of our experience were extra special. Felt safe for COVID. Reading other reviews those factors mentioned are accurate and also in my opinion part of the elements of choosing a tea that’s not part of normal operations however, you also get the Willard magic that just has a special quality to it.

Vann R.: The staff who work here really take their time and put their heart and effort into each drink, I can tell. They are very polite, especially the gentleman who wears a graphic beanie in the mornings to early afternoon. Each drink was delicious, we went back twice in our one weekend trip. Definitely take a stop here if you get the chance. Drinks are both aesthetic AND delicious.

Lora Brown: AMAZINGGGGGG! They have such unique flavors and is fun to watch the process done right in front of you. They use natural tea leaves and no artificial syrups which is totally awesome and their drinks are perfect for pictures. Definitely recommend if you like out of the box types of flavors and I definitely will be coming back for more.

Dondré: Located inside an awesome market, spot of tea is an excellent tea spot. Some great refreshing tea options. The customer service is great and the staff of very friendly. Grab some tea and then some pizza from the nearby shop!

Mira Michels-Gualtieri: Exquisite bubble tea and fresh teas! As someone whose been to about 10 different bubble tea places throughout the DMV area, I can honestly say that Spot of Tea is some of the best bubble tea in the area and all around delicious. Each cup of tea they make is freshly brewed (many bubble tea places make tea from powder or bags—not fresh leaves), which also means their tea is healthier and less sugary. The staff is super kind and knowledgeable about tea and the location is great. I highly recommend the classic milk tea with oatmilk, tapioca bubbles, and half sweetness. Check them out for some great bubs in DC 😍! (It’s also super easy to pick up from them safely for those who are validly concerned about social distancing)

Jazmin Hackett (Jaz): I poorly rated this restaurant by accident. Thank you so much for your reply. I removed my previous review, and I found the Spot Of Tea I was looking for. Thanks to whomever is responsible for monitoring reviews, as my message was delivered to the right business because of this. Great management. Thank you!

Keeli Mallory: Friendly tea place inside Streets. Got the strawberry matcha and was so good! Just the right amount of sweetness with their recommended level and with oatmilk. Got to come back to try all the flavors!

Millicent Wong: This place is SO GOOD. Having grown up in Southern California and Asia, I’ve had plenty of Taiwanese chain stores and second-wave second-gen boba shops, so I can say that Spot of Tea is truly excellent 👌High quality tea, real strawberries... but the proof is in the boba, it was perfect and I didn’t expect to find that down here in DC!

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf: what do users think?

Thomas Fackler: Classic hyperlocal coffee space. I believe that everything sold in, as well as all of the equipment used in the coffee bean & tea leaf is hand-made from materials grown on the grounds.

JB Davis: Located inside the Washington DC Hilton, this location is prime real estate! Coffee and tea selections are on par with Starbucks or any other coffee house. It was great to see that they offered and generous selection of spirit and wine. What was disappointing was learning that their policy is spirits have to OPENED before leaving premises. I wanted to taken some tequila home with me but did not purchase after learning of this policy. They also offer a generous selection of snacks, sandwiches and soft drinks.

A Smith: The drinks are amazing. I wish they had other locations. The staff was very friendly as well.

Crimson Castles: The food was phenomenal, I had the Breakfast Burrito and some home fries. I highly suggest trying the peanut butter chocolate frappuccino. The server was enjoyable and helpful with menu recommendations. My only comment was that our server seemed a little disorganized, and our side orders were plated for one person instead of multiple people. This did not detract from our experience as he was a very good server otherwise. The environment was eclectic and well worth the visit!

Naman Jain: I really wish there were more outlets of The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf in DC. Honestly, they have amazing coffees and are very under-rated. Their NSA (no-sugar added) options distinguish them from others in the country. Have been here on multiple occasions when I was living in DC, and this coffee chain is one of the things I miss the most about being in the US! Have always had a good experience at this outlet, staff has been amazing, they have nice seating arrangements (and TVs). This is in a hotel so you have a good mix of business-touristy crowd.

Foxy Cello: Just had here today one of the best cappuccino I had lately. Strong, double shot of Espresso but you do not taste the bitter side of double shot. I am impressed.

E-Tea: what do users think?

Saniya Han: First time visiting E-Tea at the Wharf, loved it! The cute interior art caught our eye as we were walking around the square so we decided to go in. We ordered their spring special: Cherry Blossom Milk Tea and a Japanese Cheesecake for dessert. The milk tea had a sweet floral scent and was deliciously creamy but light. The staff was so kind and even gave us three cookies on the house! We’ll definitely be back to try more of their drinks and their selection of onigiri :)

t mac: First going to this place. They just open. Love the back in day decor of the movie ET. I love the fact they ask level of sugar you want in you drink. Definitely will be returning . While supplies last they are doing a buy 2 get one free.

Isabella DeSpirito: EDIT 7/1/22 The owner graciously honored their comment on my review and we got our tea and tuna bowl on the house. I got the tuna bowl with salad, and it was one of the best tuna poke bowls I have seriously ever had. We also got the sea salt coffee and the dragonfruit rose tea with boba, both which were excellent. We had a lovely time and the cashier was a delight and super helpful. We will for sure be back now! —————————————————————— We went on the second or third open day- it was very busy and it seemed they were short-staffed. We got two nigiri, one with pulled pork and one with spam. Tasty but impossible to eat because the wrapping paper stuck to the rice, making them fall apart. The taro and peach tea were okay but the tiramisu was terrible- tasted like a candle.

Zhang Kiwi: Love this place! New opening, huge Jupiter size cup with economic choice. Buy 2 get 1 free now. Already falling in love with it. Asian owners, very friendly and offer multi language support. Will stop by next time.

Alex Mosely: The brown sugar bubble tea was AMAZING! The best I’ve had…and I’ve had a lot. The staff was warm and friendly too! 5/5

Teaism Penn Quarter: what do users think?

Jon and Amanda Lewis: Stopped in for a quick snack after visiting the National Gallery of Art. Ordered a traditional bubble tea and a Salty Oat cookie (like an oatmeal raisin). Both were excellent. The rest of the menu looked fun. There are some sandwiches and bento boxes. Want to come back!

Karina Kisselite: There was a lot of sitting - the place has two floors. Their menu is kind of fun - an Asian fusion. The taste was just ok though. Not bad, but not smth to come back for. We had noodles with veggies and chicken okonomiyaki. Chocolate salted oatmeal cookie for dessert - that one was good. The place has a great selection of tees. A bit on a dirtier side when it gets busy. You order upstairs and have to wait for them to call your order.

Trev: I was walking to my car when I stumbled across this Tea shop. Atmosphere was great soon as I walked in. I tried The lavender lemon mint and the Korean beef brisket sandwich . It was amazing no complaints from me! I love the vibes in the shop for sure I really recommend giving this a try ! 5/5 from me for my 1st time 👍🏼

Proficient Potato: Not your traditional bubble tea offering, but they have so many other flavors I haven’t tried before! They also have warm food options, and have a binder with all of the Allergens for each dish and if contains meat right by the order counter! The food I got was great, warm, filling, and well spiced. First place I’ve had a paper boba straw!

Elias Chelala: A huge selection of teas complimented with an Asian fusion menu. I ordered the Okonomiyaki and my friend ordered the Korean Brisket sandwich. I also ordered the sweet matcha tea and added boba. My friend ordered regular black tea with boba. The tea was very refreshing on a hot DC day and we both left satisfied.

Zachary Tyler: Amazing blend of tasty, reasonably priced food with high quality and traditional varieties of tea. The silver needle white tea was amazing.

Yessenia C: The food is so delicious! Their chicken bento box is a must have, it comes with cold sweet potatoes and cold broccoli!. The onion sauce is dynamite! Their Korean brisket sandwich is really good. The sweet Japanese green tea (matcha) is refreshing. The teas are really good as well. 2 doors down they have a tea shop. UPDATE as of 5/18/22 They have brought back the panko fried chicken! I was told the menu will be changing soon.

Sidamo Coffee & Tea: what do users think?

Kodi Wieland: Wow! The best cup of coffee my husband and I have ever had, hands down - not an exaggeration. Way to ruin all other coffee for us. There was only one person working and the service was great, friendly and efficient. I wish we lived closer, this would be our daily coffee.

Black Star Dust: Wonderful place. The chai is the best in DC and Baltimore areas. It’s the best I’ve ever had by far. Rich natural flavors.

McLain Saba: My go-to coffee shop in DC 😊 The people are wonderful, the ambiance cozy, and the drinks are DELICIOUS! Their iced chai tea latte is my favorite, tried their hot chocolate for the first time and love it. Quality drinks, quality wifi, quality space. All around wonderful

Noah Ifergan: Beautiful Ethiopian coffee shop with authentic ambience and delicious coffee. Workspace and wifi too. Highly recommend!

Rachel B: Really wonderful coffee shop, and I absolutely love the Ethiopian influence. It’s something so unique to a coffee shop. Nice to have a place highlighting Ethiopian coffees! I got a very delicious everything bagel here as well (see picture below 😜). The shop itself has cozy, quiet vibes (at least when I was there), and great service! The other cool thing is they serve some Ethiopian food - also see the picture below! Didn’t get to try that since it was breakfast time, but would love to try it someday. Look forward to returning. #sidamo #coffee #tea #Ethiopian #cozy #everythingbagel

Erin DiGiuseppe: Went here for breakfast after staying at an air bnb nearby. They have several vegan options, including a vegan breakfast (hummus, tomato, lettuce, avocado on a bagel) that was DELICIOUS, and some vegan cookies as well. We also got the Ethiopian coffee service which was really special and comes with burning incense that really adds to the olfactory experience. I’m sad we’ll be leaving today but I’m so glad we came. The wait was a bit long, but worth it.

Teaism Lafayette Park: what do users think?

Vy H.: My new favorite lunch spot!! Don’t be fooled by the name of the restaurant—it’s not just teas here—there’s a good variety of food options to eat! I’ve been here three times this past month just to try a variety of their dishes and so far have not been let down. Highly recommend the “bento boxes” for lunch—it’s a huge portion with your meat option and three sides. My favorites are the Korean Beef Brisket and Panko Fried Chicken Bento Boxes! If you’re not feeling the bento box style, you can order these as “side dishes” which is a huge portion too. The Thai Chicken Curry is also delicious—tons of chicken meat and well flavored. It’s a cafe style—you order at the register, wait for your food and then bring it to your table. Food comes out fairly quick!

Alicia Parsons: We had a really great experience at Teaism. The food was delicious, there was a lot of it, and the customer service was awesome. I personally recommend the Thai Chicken Curry. The sauce was exquisite, and the chicken was juicy. I also recommend the cabbage butts. The sauce used for this dish provides the perfect taste. And of course the tea, Kuding Tiasne, and ginger limeade very good.

Rachel Ramoni: Love the ambiance, the quick and healthy food, and the nice people. The veggie curry just did not have enough flavor, and much of it was made up of a vegetable that was quite tough. Either it was undercooked or should be cut into much smaller pieces. But it was very pretty, and I will return here!

Mark Wiatrowski: Fresh. Fresh. Fresh. Best breakfast and tea in DC. Views of The White House. Paris on the Potomac! Japanese inspired dishes for breakfast or lunch. Go!

Christian Mai: Great breakfast place. Super nice service and ambience inside and outside. The outside seating is great. I can highly recommend the scrambled eggs with jalapeños and salmon on the side.

A Verma: Great place to enjoy an Asian inspired meal and yummy deserts. We enjoyed a quiet spot by the window looking out at the fountain. Highly recommend it.

Sara R.: Another great experience at Teaism. I usually visit the Dupont circle location, but deviated from the norm and tried this location instead. The oatmeal had a great consistentcy neither too runny nor too thick) Only downside was that it took surprisingly long for a simple order of oatmeal to be prepared.
