adnardo Garcia: Always excellent service and very friendly! Last year they rebuilt my pool after a tree fell into it. I still go for chemicals and water check-up’s. Never let me down!

Kenneth Black: We had a horrible start of season that allowed aggressive green algae to turn three quarters of the pool green. They sent service out in the same week and got rid of it completely and the pool looks better now than it did when it was first installed. They do a great job; they give great advice, at fair prices.

Daniel Hunter: I am not a fan of social media but felt compelled to post my experience(s) with BJ Pool and Spa because it was all positive. This last swim season was the first time I had BJ Pool and Spa do work for me and I am VERY pleased with the service, professionalism and value provided by the BJ Pool and Spa team. First, I needed help getting my hot tub back on line and Adam was dispatched for the job. Adam is the best; he was very knowledgeable about my hot tub and the issue I was experiencing and provided an honest estimate including the risks for the desired outcome. RESULT: All issues fixed, First Time Quality 100%. Second experience; the owner came out to fix an in-ground pool light I was having trouble with. RESULT: Lickity-split Pool light fixed, First Time Quality 100%. Third time service: my pool filtration pump stopped working. Adam was dispatched, and again, very knowledgeable and resourceful to provide an honest estimate. Despite supply chain issues, the service to get the electric motor replaced and the pump brought back to serviceable condition, AND the control board (which was marginal for operation) replaced and programmed were all successful. ALL fixed as explained. RESULT: Pool equipment back on line and functioning AWESOMELY! Quality 100%. In conclusion: The front office, the back office and the field service techs for BJ Pool and Spa are great to work with and I highly recommend BJ Pool and Spa for your Hot tub and Pool service needs.

Roberto Valletta: Bait and switch tactics. After leading us to believe the total cost for a "drain and clean" to get our hot tub up and running would be about $250. We were charged $350 for 2 hrs of work and was told it would require another 2 cycles which at $175/HR (yes they actually charge more to "service" your pool/spa than the president of the US makes) would cost over $700. The tech was very nice but did not conduct $350 worth of service. When I explained our issue to management, I was told it was communicated to my wife (it was not) and we "knew" what we purchased. At no time was a written estimate given so it turned into their word vs ours. I could have paid a 12yr old $35 and had the exact same result. Recommend you seek service somewhere else or get an estimate in writing before moving forward with this company.

WIll Randels: BJ Pools serviced my pool in Fairfax Station for 10 years and did a great job. I moved to Texas and recently had a total pool system failure due to the recent freeze in February. No local pool companies were able to help me so I reached out to Bob at BJ pools who not only remembered me but was able to find and ship the parts necessary to get my pool back up and running. Laura McAuley, Realtor: Excellent service. Honest diagnosis. Chelsea was so pleasant and easy to work with. The tenant said the hot tub didn’t work but BJ Pool and Spa just reset the fuse box, cleaned up a few hoses and we were good to go. They charged only for the one hour diagnostic visit and didn’t inflate their service call. I’m keeping their names for all my clients’ pool and spa needs. The office manager is also very thorough with billing and scheduling. I just received my contract for the summer. They are on the ball! I highly recommend :-)

Brent Perry: I had a potentially difficult hot tub repair job and the guys showed up on time, prepared, and with all the tools required. They shared knowledge the entire time providing advice on the critical parts to watch and all the ways to save money avoiding unnecessary costs. They communicated the repair plan and how things would proceed at every step of the way. Their prices were more than fair and they didn't charge me until I was completely satisfied and confident that the leaks had been resolved. To top it off, they even comp'd me some basic materials to save me money. I will use them again without hesitation and recommend them highly to anyone who needs their services. leroy jenkins: Was told by another pool company that I should take my above ground pool back because I had well water. I stopped in there just to get their opinion and Natalie said dont do that try this chemical metal out and get this filter thing to attach to the end of my hoses. After doing these simple solution she solved my metal issues. Dealing with her and Amy have been absolutely amazing and I will never go anywhere else. I figured they would be bothered by me coming in at first all the time to do water test but they weren't EVER. I recommend this place to everyone I know that has a pool or jacuzzi and they love it too. 2 years now I've been going there and wouldn't go anywhere else. Thank you.

Joe Brown: Wrote a bad review three years ago and it was taken down. Makes you wonder how many other bad reviews were taken down. They replaced my liner and were supposed to put aluminum backing because of some rust. They didn't. I called and called to have them come out and see where the liner was coming out from the pool and they blew me off. The pool ripped open a month later.

El K: Great company. We had a liner replaced on a pool we inherited with our new house. We aren't sure how long the pool sat so it was in pretty bad shape. They went above and beyond to help explain how everything worked, what supplies we needed and what we could use that the previous owner left behind. Priced very reasonably. Joyce Patel: Leslie’s pool in Vienna have been extremely accommodating every time I need help with my pool concerns. Randy is very knowledgeable in the chemistry aspect of how to treat our pool amd always there. Does he ever take a day off? Thank you Randy for all that you do. Caroline , a new member to the team , is a fantastic addition. She never has once failed to acknowledge me by name and is always kind and courteous, and for that I’m much appreciated of having Leslie’s team help me with the services they offer.

Marley Myers: Randy at Leslie's is a rare gem of a human. He is so helpful, and never to the point of making you feel pressured into a purchase. What a great guy! He carried the heavy stuff to the car, and the pricing was more than reasonable. It's guys like Randy that remind you that there is still good in the world and that not every business is out to get you in a tough time. My family has been going to Leslie's for years, and I'll tell you, after the service I experienced on my own there today, my first time in my myself, I have No Questions as to why. He is courteous, cheerful, pleasant and so knowledgeable concerning things "Pool," that it's a pleasure and a relief to make the trip here and have each emergency-of-the-day reduced to doable increments. In addition to his expertise, in a society of nameless, faceless customers, Randy makes the extra effort to remember folk and he greets me by name--which is rare these days, especially since I am close to 80. He never fails to carry out my purchases and place them in the car. Really, I couldn't ask for better service and I know I'll be visiting the store many times again this summer. Thank you, Randy, for excellent customer service.

Ray Paseur: The Vienna store is great -- they know you by name, they have everything you might need in stock, and they carry heavy things out to your car. Excellent customer service.

card universe: This store is ok to run to in an emergency. Otherwise Ihey are a typical brick and mortar overpriced store and the sales people are like hawks when u walk in. Nothing makes me leave a store faster then a sales guy breathing down my neck. I purchase all my pool supplies thru Amazon. The price is always 10-20% cheaper and free delivery to my door and nobody pressuring me to buy stuff I don't need.

Wendy Giacoman: If I can give 0 I will , I got a pool with a defective filter I contacted Leslie’s about it they told me that some will contact me and nothing , after one week calling some send me an email asking for photos, I send the photos and no one reached to me , , I explained the main reason that I bought the pool is my son who has special needs , they don’t care is horrible I have the water on and I can’t clean the water for my baby I’m so stressed and frustrated I don’t recommend this pool company is the worst please don’t waist your money or time

Jenny Lamb: Today I went to Leslie's because the skimmer I bought there broke; I needed to replace the net. James W assisted me and provided me with excellent customer service! Even though I forgot to bring my receipt, James replaced the net part of my skimmer free of charge. I was thrilled. Also, I have a spider situation in my pool and I discussed possible solutions with James. He was extremely knowledgeable. Leslie's has a great brand ambassador in James W. I highly recommend that you visit Leslie's for all of your aquatic needs. It really was a great experience!

Vikram Bhatia: Purchased a $1000 Polaris pool robot cleaner in 2017 from this location and came back 5 years later to get it repaired. They told me 7-10 days and it would be a straight forward repair. 6 weeks later, over 15 phone calls (half that weren’t even answered during normal business hours), and a handful of broken promises, I gave up on this store!! I’m taking my business to a Non-Leslies. This business is understaffed and I blame management for their short comings.

Vishal Sinha: I was looking for some pool supplies for my backyard above ground pool that I had setup. During these times of social distancing, where no one was allowed inside the store, an employee came outside to assist me. He listened to my needs and suggested products that would meet the needs. He even steered me away from products that I was interested in but in his opinion would be an overkill for me. I appreciated that feedback since I am truly a novice in this field and would have ended up buying the wrong products! Also, I appreciate him walking in and out of the store multiple times to get products for me to look at and also to process the payment, etc. Good store, and a good selection available on premise :)

Rudy Garcia: Oren, He is Bad, really bad, he was drinking a coke the entire time I was at the store , didn’t even great at any customers I asked him if they had Type C filters , he has no clue what I was talking about, I asked for a bag at check out , he handed to me and he left. Helena Tyson: My son lost his job at winkler due to them not being professional enough to keep the contract they didn't tell him he wouldn't have a job until the day before sunset pools took over the contract , on January 1, 2017 could you imagine losing your job on new years due to a management issue ? Never work for winkler not even during the summer , he showed to work every day never late never took off work and all they had to say was Marcus you don't work anymore after today ( his last day ) January 1st . On top of that he worked Christmas day

Veronica Simpson: I live at one of the sites that contracts Winkler and when I went to the pool yesterday for the first time this year, it was a horrible site. Leaves in the pool, green stuff on the sides of the pool and black spots on the bottom of the pool. It even had collected dirt around the sides at the water level. The baby pool was worse. The water level was very low, dirt and leaves filled it. I can not imagine a parent wanting their child to go near it. I asked the lifeguard there, why everything was so dirty and with him being the lifeguard, wasn't it his duties to keep the pools clean? His response was, the company does not give him the tools to do his job to keep it clean. I AM FLABERGASTED BY THIS.

James Thomas: My son works there and they are unprofessional I thought pay period was on Friday but he say it’s Saturday but he got his last check on the 22 that’s not far because they know they doing them kids wrong because the banks closed early on Saturday so that means Monday and there paper check needs to do better guys

Ahmed Moneib: One of the most unprofessional contractors in the area. The managers curse at employees. The checks never go out on time and when they do they are incorrect. Most of the employees are under payed and treated poorly. Never work or hire winkler.

Lesley Paugh: Never work for Winkler they lose contracts often and will not tell you until the day the contract gets terminated , they will pay you bare minimum they don't fix problems when there are issues with a pool spa heater etc the Co owner Mr jesse will take you off the schedule and have you come to work only to find another lifeguard at your job , if you want a secured job work for sunset pools high Sierra American pools total pools but never work for Winkler only good thing about the company is the checks are on time and come to your job but even then they don't offer direct deposit and you will never see 40 hours a week

Vadym Peliak: Winkler Pool is a very bad company. I don't recommend anyone to work there. They pay poorly and treat their employees.

Jake Atchoo: The absolute BEST pool company I have ever dealt with commercially. They are incredibly responsive, respectful, knowledgeable, and FAIR! I have been using Millennium for over 2 years and will continue to give them business and referrals! Shout out to Koylo, Ivan, Janeta - all star team!

Jarret Kuhfahl: Millennium Pools did a great job installing a new liner and salt water chlorinator. Milo and team were very professional, was able to answer every question, and took the time to make sure we knew exactly how to use the system. He even provided care tips. If you need work done on your pool, I highly recommend them!

Cori Watson: I have never posted a review before this is how bad they were!! Scheduled my annual opening (we have used them before.) They came out and all they did was remove the top, drop chemicals and skim the top. (For $500) I called to ask if they would be coming back to clean the bottom which was covered in leaves and dirt and they did not return my call. I called back again and they said I would have to pay for an additional cleaning and that they had already cleaned my pool.

JJ: Whoever is driving their truck down Braddock Road today in Annandale should have their license taken! He was speeding and swerving all over the road, completely endangering those around him. Disgusting behavior.

S. Dickens: Best team to get your pool up and running smoothly and talking you through any equipment repairs, replacement or upgrades. Responsive, fair, thorough and they seem to genuinely care about getting and keeping your pool swimmable! Jermaine was a pleasure to work with for the opening this year! Great staff all around. Thanks for the great service.

Gregory Enos: I cannot say enough about the staff. We have been w/Millennium now for 7 seasons. We use their opening/closing services, repair services, and have purchased a gas heater, a Loop-loc cover, and most recently had them re-plaster our pool and add new LED lighting. Rarely does any job go perfect. And, with the plaster job, there were a few kinks that were easily ironed out w/quick response and communication by the GM, Kirk and his support staff. Kirk was extremely knowledgeable and very accessible. At one point he said we could contact him any time, even by smoke signals! Thanks Kirk and Team...looking forward to another great season! travelswithadiplomat: Just when you think you've seen every toy they've got you find a tiny crevice or shelf with something else. It's like a Toys R Us but crammed into a space a tenth of the size. Which makes it cool. The only thing I'd ask them to improve is their birthday card selection. After all, toys are usually gifts and you want the whole package in one visit...

Julia Adams: This place has a great variety of toys, games, activities for children, young adults and dare I say Adults too! Some of the inventory is get old so occasionally you get a set where most of the markers don't work. They could really use a sale to get rid of the old inventory but I've never seen a sale there like that. Sometimes they have so much inventory boxes are stacked up in the aisles.My kids beg to go to this store even just to look it's pretty fun. They have Hard to find brands in kids toys. The customer service via email and in person was very friendly despite a probably challenging time with covid stressors and also the busy factor of last minute holiday shopping. The shopping center itself might be leveled so I hear but I hope this location survives and can move to another if need be. Happy to support local businesses rather than the big box stores. Judy Wright: Thanks Capital Hot Tubs Fairfax... Recently replaced my beloved hot tub with a new Hotspring's Flair model. New experience with a saltwater system, but John was great about explaining what needed to be done both before I bought it and then it was delivered. Delivery during COVID took longer than normal, but they were upfront with the delivery times and inventory situation. Delivery Team was Awesome!! They removed the old hottub, cleaned up the area (leaves) and brought the new one in--- they were very careful of the yard and walked me through all the items in the startup package. SOOO yes I recommend Capital Hot tubs and recommend you work with your electrician well ahead of your delivery date, so you can be soaking in your tub soon after delivery and hook up.

Mike Jones: Capital Hot Tubs really went all out for us and our new tub. The installation crew came out and stayed late on a Friday until the job was completely finished. Our salesman, John Homan spent the time to explain everything to us and made sure we got exactly what we wanted with the Hot Springs SX. Capital even recommended an electrician that was always on time, courteous and affordable. The whole experience was outstanding and if you're looking to get a hot tub, Capital is the place to go!

Marlon Pop: I'm writing this review because of the great support I've had with this company. After much much research I bought a hot tub from Capital Hot Tubs a few years ago. The purchase costed more than Costco or an online retailer, but It's well worth it. There are a lot of logistics when purchasing a hot tub such as delivery, installation, electrical, setup and so many other factors. And also warranty. These folks did an amazing job from electrical to set up and so many other items that's needed when setting up a hot tub. The best part is they provide amazing service afterwards. I've had to call for maintenance a few times and capital hot tubs takes care of it. Recently my control display died and Jay came over and took care of everything and was courteous, professional, and he knew his stuff. On top of that Jay also fixed another item under warranty that I wasn't even aware of. If you're looking for a real hot tub please don't buy online. Instead go to these folks and they will make it great and also after.

Jeffery Holley: As year-round swimmers from SoCal, we tend to get picky about our pools. Our Great Falls pool is old and needs new plaster in the spring. In the meantime we are replacing a defunct heater and a pump, as well as moving all the equipment and plumbing to a more discreet location in the yard. Franks quote was detailed and price-friendly compared to others. Also, his positive can-do demeanor is calming to the nits of our site and, well, us LOL. Lynda, in the office, is terrific! She is the invoice and billing guru. Don't hesitate to pick up the phone and call either of them. Emailing is less speedy.

Charles Simmons: First time having a pool and it's been hectic getting it opened up and running smoothly on my own. Luckily Frank the owner of Mclean Pool and Spa understands how to organize his team and tailor solutions to his clients. It's been great to have someone as responsive as him as a resource. The customer service has gone above and beyond the biweekly cleaning and chem checks we signed up for.

Jon Kotecki: After renovating our entire pool in 2014 I have endured over 9 different pool companies in the NoVA area. Out of all of those companies I have used, MS Pool has been far and wide the best service I have found in the area. I opted for the open/close package. They opened my pool this year and were able to work me into the schedule at a reasonable time. Being a new customer, many others I have reached out to couldn't get me on the schedule until mid June (that doesn't do me any good). They communicated well up until the schedule date (others left me in the dark), showed up on time and their support staff was friendly and helpful, willing to answer any questions I had. After they completed the service, I received a full report with pics of my set up and grading on how everything looked and aged over the past 7 years. Very thorough. I was also having some issues with my main pump. Yani was extremely helpful over the phone attempting to troubleshoot my issues before we embarked down the road of a technician coming out. Once we decided on a course of action Momchil showed up with a replacement motor and 2 brand new pumps (2.6 and 3 HP). After a review, it was deemed that the cheapest option was the best option, just replace the existing motor. The technician also took the time to check the pool chemistry (again, shortly after opening) and assisted with suggestion on how to fix the imbalance. MS Pools was friendly (unlike all the other companies I worked with) helpful, (again, not like any other company I worked with) and went above and beyond what you would expect a company to do these days. Jon lackey: Long story short, the local pool store water testing messed my pool up big time. Your pool guy came out and suggested using flocculant to clear the cloudy pool. I did'nt have 48 hours to wait to clear etc. and have used that before and it work but takes time and vacuuming pool etc. Being labor day weekend and company coming over I did'nt have that kind of time. So he looked at my numbers, filtration system and gave me some great suggestions. He was spot on, I over shocked the pool and ran the pump over night. Re-tested chem in the morning and numbers are within range and pool is clearing, I can see the bottom of the pool now! clear enough to swim for sure and getting clearer by the hour. Thank you for your expertise and great customer service.

Lexus SC: Called this company though American home shield to fix the pool pumps last year , they did a great job,That is why I decided to give them my busness so this year I called them to do pool opening . Their performance is very primitive and when you complain about the service they tell you that you were Rood to them , their worker disposed all the trash in the pool filter and through it in our mint garden , when we brought this to their attention they said we are rood to them . Unfortunately their performance is not like last year . In addition they left our pool after opening with the water not circulating and they did not want to come back to see the problem although I called them immediately the next day . Steve Thormahlen: I’ve used ASP for several years now and they provide the best service, bar none. They come out to our pool on a regular schedule, are always on time and provide some of the friendliest service I’ve ever experienced. When we have had mechanical issues they are quick to respond and diagnose the problem. I’ve used two other pool services and ASP is the best.

Frank Cooch: This summer (2021) will be the fourth year that we have employed ASP of Springfield (James & Ellen King, owners) to open, close and perform weekly maintenance for our pool. We have been extremely pleased with their efforts and the resulting service. Early in our first year with ASP, Mr. King showed up at our house with the weekly maintenance crew. He explained that he likes to visit each client at least once not only to meet the client but to check out the pool for which his company is now responsible. We have a saltwater pool. Two years ago our very expensive salt chlorine generator died. Mr. King was instrumental in persuading the manufacturer that the warranty was still in effect and to provide a replacement at no cost. When a couple of employees left the company we learned that hiring replacements was going slowly because “Mr. King was very particular about who he hired.” It shows in the excellent service that we receive. ASP of Springfield employees know what they are doing and frequently go beyond what is required. Just one example: the crew had finished the weekly maintenance including blowing the leaves and debris off the pool cover and patio and were getting ready to leave when they decided to take another pass with the leaf blower just to get the few newly fallen leaves off the pool cover before they left. They always email a thorough maintenance report after each visit. ASP of Springfield’s excellence continued in 2020 with the opening of our pool on April 1st. Within a day the water was absolutely clear. If you are looking for a new pool company to take care of your pool, we recommend this company without reservation. Rani K: This is my second review about this- the owner has called me two times cussing at me and verbally harassing me to pay a bill for a job they did NOT do. He’s trying to charge me $450 for “opening the pool” and all they did was show up for 15 mins, open the cover and toss it next to the pool throw chemicals and never came back to finish the job. I called multiple times to have them come back to finish but there was never any response. Had to go with Dog Days to finish the opening. His company has called me twice since then, we had negotiated a price that worked for both of us. They were supposed to send me an updated bill which they never did. And now over the last month the owner has been calling and cussing me out to pay the full amount. Stay away from these people! They’re awful humans forget business owners!

Jamie Randolph: I wish I could give zero stars. I have used lots of pool companies and this is by far the worst!!!! The manager kept cutting me off and saying my pool was trash. I paid to have it opened months ago and when they came, they said it was to green to open. They wanted me to take a sample to the store to have it tested because they can’t do that when they come. They didn’t start my pump correctly and left stoppers in.If you have a sand filter it needs to be backwashed to get it flowing properly and they didn’t do that. So basically they came and took my cover off and will only refund half my money. I would never recommend anyone to use this pool company. I don’t even know how they are still open.

jill Novesal: I called twiced to ask if they had a certain pump and they said yes.....then when I picked it up I asked again and was assured it was correct. Got it home and of course if was not correct. Called the store and not ONCE did the employees say she was sorry. Also, when I walked in the employee was sitting eating her lunch at the register. Did not acknowlege me in front of her, and continued to eat and talk to her co worker. Will not step foot in that store again. Bewarned!!

Tyler Dose: I had ordered and pre-payed for a bucket of chlorine tablets, went in to pick up and they couldn't find my order. Come to find out they had sold my order and now don't have that product till June. Will never be using them again.

Adam Clay: Do not stop here for any of your pool needs. The employees are less than helpful, summer fill in’s with little experience in the pool industry, and sell overpriced products. My last experience there involved me buying over $600 worth of pool supplies for the season, as I got home realized I had forgot to use my 20% coupon, MY BAD! I Immediately called thinking I could return to take advantage of some saving. I was told first hand by the owner Jay that he could not help me because he didn’t trust his “rental” employees to perform that type of customer service with reserves that they would pocket the cash, which confirms my statement about these “fill in employees”. Jay also went out of his way to “hope that I never shop there again”. Not a problem I will never shop at flamingo pool supplies again.

Lori Herringa: We have literally had the worst customer experience with this company. The picture is a fiberglass pool - the water should only be 1 inch below the skimmer per the manufacture for closing. This is the second time this has been done, and this time was AFTER WE CANCELLED THEM. The first time they came out to close our pool, they dropped a screw driver in, it sat through the winter and left a rust spot. Last year they sawed off the end of a pipe, and over drained our fiberglass pool so that we had to add water just to close it. The owner is incredibly unprofessional, rude, and feels he doesn't need our business and told us on the phone. Let me say again - the owner is RUDE, unprofessional and their techs have zero idea what they are doing. Don't worry Jay (the owner) we will happily look elsewhere to spend our money.

rex warnert: ***BEWARE*** Unless you are buying chemicals from them stay away.****** The Staff was very friendly and helped me when I needed a replacement motor for my inground pool. $389. Hayward Warranty is 1 Yr. Long story short. Purchase pump, install pump, runs fine. 35 days later hear intermittent buzzing. Contact Hayward they say bring to local authorized service center. PP&P their competitor. They look at pump and say Defective return to merchant where you bought it. Service Guy at Flamingo is an total A-hole, first without even seeing the pump he is blaming me for the pump failing. says that he will not take the pump back since it is past 30 days. I tell him that the warranty is 1 yr he says he will talk to the regional hayward rep that he sees frequently (weekly). Call 3-5x times every time the person answering phone says he not there. Stops returning emails and is never at store. They had no reason not to take the pump back. They wouldn't have lost a dime. Hayward would have replaced the pump for them and fixed it properly. Instead I had to place a Credit Card dispute on them. The Credit card company couldn't believe the way they were acting either. They gave me my money back and I still have the pump. Crazy!! Never buy any piece of pool equipment from this place, doesn't matter what the warranty states of the product. After 30 days this place treats you like your trying to rob them and you will get 0 assistance. Stick with Pools Porches and Patios. This would have never happened had I purchased it from them but they were out of stock and I needed it immediately.

Natalia Farley: Where do I start, WORST POOL COMPANY EVER!!!!!!!! it has taken these fools over two months now to attempt to open our pool!! And it’s still not even safe to swim in! They refuse to answer their phones and two different occasions, they were a no call no show for the appointments I made!! They’re extremely unprofessional. They clearly have a bunch of kids working there since they can’t seem to get ANYTHING right. I also received a bill from them for over $200 when they did absolutely NOTHING!!! I will not be paying for that either. I am shocked they haven’t gotten shut down!!! So please be cautious about how terrible this company is before even thinking about using them to open your pool!!!!

Peter Labrie: I called Flamingo Pools to ask if they could troubleshoot an electrical issue with my pool's heat pump. The woman on the phone said they could. I scheduled a service call. The tech that came to my home was personable and polite, BUT he was not qualified to troubleshoot my heat pump. He spent a few minutes looking for a visual sign of a problem, found none and I was charged for a service call. Based on my experience, they are not qualified to service a heat pump.

Sarabeth Rice: Horrible. Horrible. Horrible. As someone that works in sales- I should’ve read the reviews on this place prior to using them. All the 1 star reviews are accurate. A bunch of kids working, who are very rude. The owner- very rude- does not “need” the business apparently. I am shocked they haven’t tried to do better. Oh well, won’t be using their services any longer. Lessons learned.

Denise Vourlos: 2020 was the year to build a pool! We did lots and lots of research on pool builders before deciding on Browning Pools. What sold us on choosing Browning was that they really seemed to want to educate the consumer on exactly what buying and owning a pool was all about before the process was started. Not only that, but the owners of the company are very hands on with the process as well. Chuck and Aaron Browning took time to meet with our family, answer our questions and discuss all of our options for building the pool of our dreams. We had heard from friends (who did not use Browning) that it was common practice to have subcontractors approach the homeowner for separate payment due to significant "cost overruns" during the build. This was never an issue during our build as Browning was very upfront and transparent about the costs and timeline for when payments were due. Once construction started we loved the fact that our Construction Foreman, Greg, kept us constantly updated and was always available to answer questions that may have arisen during the build. The process was made even easier by their wonderful support staff in the office, Leticia. She calmed frayed nerves and was always willing to find answers to any questions we had. Did we have any problems during the build? Of course! No construction project of that size will be seamless... but it is how Browning responded and corrected the problems that made the process feel so much easier! Any time there was the hint of a problem, they were right back out there to troubleshoot and fix it! This company stood by our side from start to finish...and even after it was all done. We are thrilled with how our pool turned out and have had countless hours of enjoyment already. Mark: We needed a new heat pump this spring and it was a challenge finding someone who could deliver one in a timely fashion. I contacted a number of pool companies and several of the them didn't even reply to voicemail or emails. I don't fault the companies that didn't respond, Spring is their busy season and managing their customer base that subscribe to annual service is important. This is an industry that is very busy 6 months a year and quiet the remainder, they have to run lean to stay afloat. I filled out Browning's online contact form and the next morning a gentleman named Kodjo called me to discuss what I needed. I provided him with the size and amperage that I needed and he stated he probably could have a the heat pump installed within the next two weeks. Within 30 minutes he sent me a thorough quote and it included date that was a little over a week out. Chris and Diego showed on the schedule date and did an excellent job installing the unit. They re-leveled the pad, the plumbing job was excellent, , they cleaned up everything and took old one away. They were very nice polite, professional and you could tell they were proud of their work. S. Stroud: The Greatest “Show” on Earth! Marquis Spas, Ryan Saunders and Browning Pools are simply the best! In December I received my second new Marquis Spa and have to question why anyone would ever settle for less. My first tub lasted 15 years. Through this long experience, my wife and I came to realize and totally appreciate the therapeutic benefit the Marquis spa brings to our health. Our new tub “the Show model” is top of the line and incredible to experience. We are completely happy with this selection. Then there’s Browning Pools and our salesman Ryan Saunders. Professional, well versed and organized. From the initial selection and purchase, through the special order process and ultimately our precision (crane) delivery, just a phenomenal, seamless job well done by everyone. Thank you Ryan for helping us (now for the second time) to realize how so much joy can be realized for just pennies a day over the lifetime of the spa. Adrienne Biddings: Browning built our pool and I contacted them about a repair and renovation. After two weeks of back and forth and voicemails I finally got ahold of Greg the head of the renovations department. He said they could do the job but not for another 6 weeks. I told them the timing and estimated cost was fine and to put me on the schedule, he said okay and would follow up by email. After that I never heard from them again. After numerous calls and voicemails, Greg and Browning proceeded to ghost me and never return any of my calls for months. It's September and I still haven't heard from them since we the last spoke in May when he told me he would put me on the schedule. Contact PoolTek or Watercrafters if you want someone it actually return your call and treat you professionally, even if they can't do the job.

David Cooper: If you are looking for a place to buy your pool or spa, look no further! My wife and I have been completely satisfied with Browning Pools and Spas. When we had questions about about our order or maintenance issues, they were very responsive and friendly. Today, our technician Jake did an incredible job explaining what happened to one of our speakers as he replaced it and also answered all of our questions regarding spa chemistry. Incredible service! Dan Shea: We love our new Marquis Epic Hot Tub! Our old Marquis, which was about 18 years old, started to have leakage issues and we were not going to invest money on it, so it was time for a new hot tub. We 'almost' purchased a hot from another manufacturer/dealer for quite a bit less. But based on our prior experience from Marquis, I think we made the right choice. You get what you pay for.... We had previously used Browning Pools nearly 19 years ago for our above ground pool and had a good experience with them, so we decided to use them again. Ryan, the salesman knows his hot tubs and was a major factor in which hot tub to purchase for our needs. Earlier this week, May 8th, 2019, I called Browning about a warranty issue on the hot tub digital display. TWO HOURS later, the service techs were at my house and replaced the faulty display. The service guy (can't remember the name) schooled me in detail on the water chemistry essentials to keep the water in top notch health. He knows his stuff as well. Yes, I recommend Browning Pools and Spas!

email guy: The staff at Browning pools are very knowledgeable, professional, and offer prompt service. I called them up for a quote for a full pool system upgrade, within 24hrs I was contacted by a service rep, I believe his name is Kojo, he in turn got me in contact with their parts manager David, who walked me through the entire process, and was very kind and patient. When it was time for the technicians to come out for the job, they arrived well within the scheduled time window and went about their business in an extremely professional manner. Long story short, my experience with Browning Pools was stellar, absolutely one of the best service providers within the Pool & Spas industry in the area.

Tim Tousey: Quality of the furniture is great, but the product availability and hassle of actually getting what we paid for was quite the opposite. After getting half of what was purchased a couple weeks after it was promised, we cancelled the remaining items save for an umbrella. When we heard the umbrella was ready for pickup (couple of months and a different fabric later) we called to confirm that we could come get it, only to learn that it hadn’t made it to the store from the warehouse after all. So we wait another week…. Just really unimpressed and inconvenienced with the delivery aspects of the operation.

Rich Wilhelm: We bought a wonderful 6-seat table, chairs and Treasure Garden umbrella that have given us great pleasure on our very sunny back deck. I arrived near closing time, but Terrance and Roderick were very helpful getting us exactly what we wanted, no matter the time. Pleasant and personable, they made sure I got an affordable price too!

Clifford Crittenden: Two stars — one star for being open and one for selling outdoor furniture. Other than nailing their basic business function, we found Offenbachers in Rockville to be a suboptimal experience. We arrived on a busy Saturday and waited for 30 minutes before an associate looked our way. We understood the constraints of being short staffed and patiently waited our time. Once helped, our sales associate seemed less than interested in us as customers, and as I was asking for pricing information he expressed an interests in talking to other customers. We had spent less then five minutes with him. My wife and I left and 90 minutes later spent a great deal of money at another outdoor furniture store, and feel great about our purchase and never having to consider Offenbachers again.

Lisa Sarnovsky: Great experience overall. We visited the Rockville store a few weeks ago and had Steve as our salesperson. Steve was patient and knowledgable, explaining the differences in patio furniture options (construction, fabrics, anticipated customer order waiting periods, etc.). After about an hour of asking questions and testing things out, we decided to order a mix of items in stock and floor models. We received a phone call a few days ahead of delivery and again that same day with the confirmed delivery time. Everything showed up in good condition and the delivery service was highly professional. We are going to be enjoying our high quality patio furniture for years to come.

Ann Yetter: My husband and came to Offenbachers to checkout new outdoor furniture after a family member broke through the seat of our outdoor chairs. The outdoor furniture we were using was purchased from Offenbachers well over 15 years ago. It has sat out on our deck, uncovered, through every imaginable weather and held up exceptionally. It was time to get new, so we traveled to the Offenbachers store, just to look around. Brenda greeted us and told us to feel free to look around and asked if we had questions. We explained what we wanted, and she worked with me and my indecision for over an hour. She gave us suggestions, and then gave us time to contemplate. When we decided to buy, she sat with us, and helped us with size, shape, and color of the deck furniture. It was delivered before the estimated date, placed on my deck, and the trash removed. It is beautiful! The service, delivery (we didn’t have to be home) and follow up have been exceptional. Although the furniture is pricey, we know it will last years and will still be beautiful.

Michelle De Jong: Brenda gave me exceptional customer service! I arrived without an appointment but she welcomed me into the store since no other customers were there. She was very knowledgeable about the products, very personable, and engaging. The table and chairs I ordered were in stock. A few days later she called to say only four chairs were in stock. I was having family in town so she took it upon herself to find two other chairs. She did a fantastic job!!

Jay Hertz: I had an awful experience with Linda and the Pool table store. The contractor they sent spent almost his whole time talking on the phone while working and his helper was constantly taking cigarette breaks; consequently, the outcome was terrible. After they set the table at my new residence I checked it with a level after they had left and found that it was way off level. After numerous phone calls with Linda trying to get someone back and many promises over a month that she would send the contractor back I gave up and hired another company to set the table up properly at my expense.

A Z: We worked with Linda from The Pool Table store that helped us pick out a color for our pool table. They also repaired our pool table that got damaged. The crew that came was great and payed attention to detail. Overall a great experience !

Tiffany Proctor: I inquired about pool table repair with Linda the owner (who gave herself the only positive review for her own business) I explained that the table was for a community of older adults. After kindly explaining to Linda that based on not being able to visit her store to review fabrics (she wanted me to view fabrics via text message) we were going in a different direction, she chain called my phone 4 times and then left me a text message saying "are you one of the patients? you didn't give me a chance to offer you another OPTION! This is clearly inappropriate and unprofessional. Beware of Linda and her temper.

Silvana Hill: We bought a house with a pool this year and we had no clue on how to care for it. After some research I came across Dolphin Pool Services online and I'm so glad we hired them. I have to say these guys are pretty awesome! Everyone in the company is friendly, responsive, professional and knowledgeable - So far they have opened our pool, replaced our old noisy pump, provided us with incredible weekly maintenance visits over the summer and now are working on replacing our old anchors for the pool cover placement. Marsha Golding: I love Dolphin Pool Services! I had been with my prior pool company for circa 16 years. Over the past several years the weekly maintenance and managerial/owner's professionalism was sorely lacking. I had started to consider other companies; but the decision was made for me when I had a major weekend emergency and I could not reach them - again. Panicked, I did several searches and browsed numerous reviews before calling Dolphin. Dolphin pools (with no guarantee of future work) came to the rescue and had my pool back in working order within several days. Roman and his team's quick response and rapid repair along with their knowledge and professionalism made it easy to discontinue using the company I had used for many years. 2020 has been my first full year with Dolphin as a weekly customer and I continue to be impressed. When COVID happened and I consulted them with regard to possibly opening the pool early, they did not hesitate to fill my request. In fact, they have never hesitated. Dolphin Pool Services is professional, reliable, and reasonable in every sense - to include parts and labor. Finally, I want to give a special shout out to Andres. Roxanne: If you don't have a pool, buy and build one just so that you have the opportunity to work with Dolphin Pool! My experience with them has been wonderful. Roman and his team are best in class professionals. Every person who has come out has been courteous, knowledgeable, patient, and very willing to help educate. They take the time to make sure you are completely taken care of before leaving. Roman even took his own time to come give me a crash course to make sure that as a pool owner I understood the mechanics and maintenance of my pool. That level of support is a rarity! I feel enormously better about handling pool ownership and I'm relieved there is a service I can trust and rely on. I will only be working with Dolphin Pool. Happy swimming! Davileet T: I hired these guys to do a pool renovation, and the job fell through due to lack of trust and Dolphin breaching their contractual obligations. They use Mazariegos Brothers General Construction as their sub-contractor, save yourself a few thousand dollars and a headache by not choosing either. The contract between parties was to include thorough plaster prep. This was to chip out around fittings, acid washing the old plaster surface (etching), chip out under tile line, and lastly apply bonding agent on the old plaster surface prior to re-plastering. This was a $2,000 itemized cost for $1500 for prep and $500 for bond coating. None of the wording in the agreement was debatable as to what would be done. Day one of prep I am told that no chipping or grinding out under tile would be done because of risk to tile being damaged, which was the first I am told about this. Every other company I received a quote from disagreed with this, and there was some material that needed to be removed. For the cost involved to prep, this should have been brought to my attention before the day of. Also, sub-contractor informs me that he was instructed from Marko (construction guy at Dolphin) to not do an acid wash. Marko said no acid washing needed to be completed because the surface was "clean enough and wasn't green from algae," and only pressure washing was necessary. I would challenge anyone to find a reputable pool repair company who would admit that skipping this step of acid washing is acceptable. By not having a solid bond between new and old plaster creates risk of delamination, and not something to be risked for such little labor involved. To remedy my objections, Marko went out and got a jug of acid to save face, and did a superficial job of acid washing. Less than a single jug of acid was used for an entire 20x40' pool. Picture of the bond kote I received versus what manufacturer suggests it should be, below. The product applied to my pool was very watered down and essentially does nothing to bond new plaster. This company seems to be two amateur guys who opened up business on the backs of sub-contractors doing renovations. And then, telling said sub-contractors to cut corners in order to increase profits. The ending of this relationship was due to Dolphin breaking ties because of an accusation that his sub-contractor damaged a hydrostat in the pool. I personally had stripped the threads removing one of the caps, since removing the caps isn't included in the drain out with Dolphin apparently. However, I believe that the side of the hydrostat was broken off when the plaster surrounding it was chipped out by their sub. The situation became a he said/she said ordeal and Dolphin quickly ended up backing out. Which is totally fine as there had been tension from work being sub par up til that point, and the lack of contractual obligations being met on their end. It's ironic that Dolphin didn't like the idea I was lying about a damaged hydrostat, but they attempted to lie their way through prep work. As of today, Dolphin is refusing to give a respectable refund for their 6 hours of work and wanting me to pay them profit because their feelings got hurt from an accusation. A mere accusation is not grounds for backing out after a mediocre job was attempted to be done, and then having the audacity to try and walk away with profits. Lets see that invoice from the sub-contractor.

Unfortunately there are always going to be two sides of the story and I would not like to go into details for what I have proofs for in regards to your pool project we were working on. You making damages prior our start and then later blaming us. However, we have lots of loyal customers that know and appreciate the value of our work and will always hire us. We are honest company that will always make it right and go above and beyond for its customers. Even if mistake happens(it’s normal) we will always make it right, period. This one star review doesn’t bother me for those reasons and I wish you all the best in the future!

Isabel Tuz: I highly recommend Dolphin Pool Services! When my pool cover suddenly ripped over a weekend, I was able to get in touch with Dolphin that day. Within two days, the Dolphin team had come to my house to measure the pool and provided estimates for a new cover. While here, they really took the time to answer my questions about the different options, which was much appreciated. Just a few weeks later, the new cover is in and looks great! I’ve been impressed with the Dolphin team’s professionalism and willingness to go the extra mile throughout this entire process. Evan Regan-Levine: When I bought a house with a pool I was clueless as to its care and maintenance. Roman and his team have been fantastic in helping me quickly get up to speed and enjoy a great pool season. When my pump failed just before July 4th weekend, Roman worked incredibly hard to get me a replacement from the good quality brand I wanted and get a team out to my house very quickly to do the install so I could enjoy the pool for the long weekend. He’s responsive and reliable which is a rarity. Couldn’t recommend him and his team enough.

Pedro Frias: Nice pool. You will need a DC id or but a pass if you aren't from DC

Jiya Sohal: It’s a beautiful poop and it’s not too crowded and if it is it’s mostly people sun bathing so the pool is very open and it’s separated in three parts so if your child is playing in water it won’t go to the deep end. I mostly loved how deep it goes and so you can challenge your self if you are trying to dive down to touch bottom and it goes down to 12feet and 5 inches. I was also surprised how clean it was even though there’s many tree near it and you definitely go there except on Tuesday there closed that day and this is my go to pool

Mara Nelson: Love this pool! My boyfriend and I go here during the summer in DC and have the best time. The pool is huge and split into three sections - one for kids, one for swimming laps, and one with a deep end. Best part, if you're a resident of DC, it's free! On the weekends, it can get a little crowded. We go after work sometimes and there is barely anybody there. Definitely go if you live in DC.

Mark Enoch: A great pool, but get there early if you want a chair. Many are plastic and broke many summers ago, but overall it's a great pool. It's size let's families with young children enjoy swimming in a shallow end, lap lanes for swimmers, a standing area for adults, and a deep end for enjoyment.

Bossi: PRO - Generally not crowded, though around 6pm it can get competitive as the sun starts setting behind the trees & it gets competitive over remaining sunlit seating. Pools are split into three parts: deep, lap, and wading. Water always a great temp. CON - Every year more and more lounge chairs are broken; never seeming to be repaired. Locker rooms are basic and not too clean. Showers are exceptionally hot. The deep pool is closed more than it's open.

Laura Labedz: I love this pool. It has six lap lanes that are open at all times, plus an area to the side of the lap lanes for kids and families to play. there's a kiddie pool for the really little ones and the deep end is separated from the lanes by a wall and is good for just hanging out.. (Deep is only about 7 or 8 feet, so no diving.)

Dennis Bours: Very nice pool and kind life guards. Always done unclarity about opening times, but check the most recent pictures of the opening times and you should be okay. Life guards go into a discussion of the type of life vest you.put on your little ones. All well meant. DC will have its standard, and so do other states, or Europe. One not necessarily better than the next. Most important, stay close to your kids if they did not complete swimming lessons; a life vest does not mean they can't drown.

beth peralta-reed: Great pool. Lap swimming available. Kid pool with a beach entrance. Maditory rest time for kids so that adults get some time in the pool without kids. The deep end opens around midday during the week. My only complaint is that the restrooms are kinda gross. One of the stalls in the women’s locker room has been locked for a couple weeks, two of the stalls don’t lock at all and none of the stalls have working toilet paper holders so the roll of toilet paper always ends up on the floor.
