Sassy Sauce: Great discounts on Christmas items as part of the holiday sale. I picked up Christmas stockings for under $5.00. There were fire pits on clearance as well. I like this location and they generally have the items I’m in need of for repairs or decorations, etc. The staff is very helpful as well.

Stuart Miles-McLean: I don't like all the self check out lines which are killing jobs. They did have things I was looking for in the wild bird and critter section, but it appears they need more employees -- all over the store -- to keep the inventory organized and properly shelved and labeled. The employees I did encounter were very helpful and friendly; it just looked like they need more of them.

Kev- keepingitreal: This location offers a variety of affordable items for your home improvement needs. I really appreciate the staff in the aisle for assisting me with finding items on my check list. At check out the cashier was welcoming and friendly. This store was very clean and offers plenty of parking.

Jessica Fullington: Today I went to the garden center for some outside plants. Yolanda was so very helpful! She was able to answer my questions, she even went and got me a cart so that it was easier for me to get the items I purchased to my car. It is so refreshing to have people who are pleasant and helpful at their jobs I will definitely come back to this location to get all the plants I need this spring! Marla was very helpful as well along with the young man who answered some of my questions about my plans. All around a wonderful experience!

goklt: Lots of materials here. Check out was fast. However good luck asking for assistance. Lots of associates are walking around but not helping customers. I tracked an employee down for assistance in moving materials from a high shelf to store level in the door section. He called two times for assistance to my aisle but no one came and he advised going to customer service. They called and still no help. Had to track somone down in a different department altogether. Crazy.

Chase Johnson: The employees here are courteous. But the wood cutting service they claim to offer is not available when needed. The store should just be candid that wood cutting won’t be available (or at the very least won’t be available at any specific time). I am a local DIYer (not a contractor). Before I bought wood I asked about cutting and was told it was no problem—buy it and then request a cut. I did. I was then told the lumber associate wasn’t available for an hour. I couldn’t get the wood (a single sheet of plywood I needed to cut in half) into my car, so I waited. After an hour, there was still no lumber associate, so the wood was never cut.

N R: Terrible customer service. Returning an item took 3 months of repeated calls to schedule a pickup and even when Lowe's had the item back multiple calls were needed to secure the refund. Such a hassle, so worth avoiding! The third party delivery service that they use doesn't turn up in the agreed time slots so it's very easy to miss them and then get stuck in the web of calls that are required to reschedule.

Annie Signorelli: I ordered a dishwasher with professional installation and the process from start to finish was completely nontransparent and unprofessional. The installation had to be rescheduled because the dishwasher wasn’t pulled down for pick up in time, and then when it was installed it was the incorrect dishwasher — not even the right brand. After several hours on the phone with the Lowes installation line, including being told multiple times that they couldn’t advance the process because they couldn’t get in touch with anyone at their own Lowes store, I called the store directly and was able to sort it out and get the installation rescheduled. A Lowes associate later told me that they don’t have the “luxury” of waiting on hold with the store which is what I had to do in order to ensure my order was completed. Finally the correct dishwasher was installed on the third attempt and I was told I could contact the installation line again to discuss compensation for the inconvenience. Again it took multiple attempts to even get an update on where my case stood, despite being told every time that I should expect a call back “by end of business” every day I called. When I finally got offered compensation it was for less than half of the amount I requested (I requested the installation service be refunded seeing as it took 3 attempts and I was the one having to set everything up because Lowes did not follow through). While I am satisfied with the product I am in disbelief at how difficult and unprofessional the process was with Lowes. I do not recommend purchasing appliances from installation from this store or using the Lowes installation services.

Conchita Coney: Excellent but one of the employees didn't know what he was talking about whereas getting parts for a 2019 torro self-repellent lawn mower. He told my husband and I to go to store name Grainger on MD 202 they are either closed or permanently shut down.

Elizabeth Ramming: Assistance was top notch!! The gentlemen working there were very polite and helped me a lot with specific questions. HOWEVER-- However, I needed lumber, a 1X6 piece. What they had in stock was WET. But oh! I found 2 dry pieces at the bottom. But alas, don't be happy for me. Those pieces were warped in both directions - both along the length and width. That's it. So, shut up and buy it, or fight DC traffic to go someplace else. Both of those options were the absolute WORST. Why was the wood wet amd warped?? ... Duhhh. How utterly stupid.

Sassy Sauce: I missed all of the after Christmas saw items. This location had a few products left over from Christmas but nothing I really wanted. Overall the store was neat and organized. I didn’t need any additional items for this trip, just preparing for next years holiday decorations.

Chaturbhuj bhojwani: Great shops for home goods, this is very big shop i have been going that HomeDepot for many years i was there very first day when they opened, biggest problem is coustmer service is very bad here i stud for help for more than 20 minutes before someone showed up.

Kev- keepingitreal: This Home Depot is very convenient if you’re in the Rhode Island/Brentwood NE DC Area. They offer a verity of products that can help you with your Lawn, Garden, Appliances, Painting, Outdoor Patio, Home Improvement, Cleaning Products, Tools/Equipment Rentals and many many more. I really Appreciate the help from a young male staff who was working in the Garden/Mulch area, he was very Helpful and Knowledgeable with assisting me with the products along with a young female cashier on the inside of the store. Now you can never get the help you need when you’re in the store aisles. Every time you asked a staff member who’s in the same aisle as you. Can you help me with something? Their reply seems to be, I don’t work over here and they don’t know who can help you..!!! Home Depot needs better training for their staff who’s working in the store aisles..

Jeff Rueckgauer: Needed a red 10 cup Brita pitcher. App says there is 1 in stock. Not on the shelf. 4 associates said they couldn't help but would page someone for the aisle. 10 minutes is more than enough time for someone to at least arrive, even if they have to look further. This HD had been really good for many years. The pandemic is no excuse for just unhelpful people and plainly unconcerned, inept management.

Rickey Anderson: I went to the Rhode Island Avenue store it was good. What would made it excellent if their stock was current with the website. They didn't have it even though the computer said they did have it. The item was Sphagnum moss. Happy that I was able to find a few other items

Bailey Cage: Unfortunately this was the first time I’ve been to a Home Depot where the staff was completely unknowledgeable. I had spent hours online trying to research the best products / methods for tiling my second-story concrete subfloor with no definitive answers, so I decided to head to the store and find someone to help me. Normally Home Depot workers are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, but whoever they sent back to flooring to help me seemed to know nothing. He was able to show me where items were on the aisle, but he couldn’t answer a single question about how to tile my floor or what the differences and pros/cons in products were. It was incredibly frustrating and unhelpful, and I ended up leaving with a couple hundred dollars of products I later had to return. What truly upset me is that I did some more research once I got home just to find out the answer I was looking for is common knowledge in construction, but as someone doing a DIY project, I just didn’t know what terms I had to search for. For a Home Depot employee - the flooring specialist - to not know this is astounding.

jamesbowdenjr: This is the worst Home Depot is in the entire country. I am trying to get a door, but the store is unresponsive, the management is inept and provides no additional assistance, the associates are extremely slow, unknowledgeable of the products. The worst customer service experience I have ever had. I do not recommend this store. Please go to another Home Depot location.

Anna Lloyd: Desmond in the home and garden went out of his way to help us find something that 4 different employees had just shrugged their shoulders and said that even though it was available online they were probably out. Desmond knew exactly where it was and showed us himself, even though it was on the complete other side of the store. He really took customer service to the next level.

DAVID GILL: paint dept vert slow. When paint was done I was not told it was done. I came up to the counter and stood there waiting while emotes helped others. After 10 minutes he pointed at can. I said is that mine he looked at me like Duh.

Chanpen Tee: I came here for the kitchen cabinets project. The lady is so helpful and friendly. She takes her time explaining all the questions we have.

Morning Beers: Thompson Creek was an absolute delight to work with. They really have a passion for helping their clients solve their problems. I know I could have found cheaper windows, but the quality of the product, the professionalism of everyone I have dealt with and with their warranties are unmatched. I scheduled 4 companies to come out to give me estimates; one never showed, I’m still waiting on one to get me my estimate, and the other spent about 20 min in my home and then gave me a price. The rep from Thompson Creek took the time to really listen to what we wanted and where our problem areas were, tried to save us money by offering solutions to downsize the number of windows we were getting installed. I can’t say enough great things about the company, or my beautiful new windows. Services: Custom windows , Custom doors , Window design

Find Scl: Bethany, project Coordinator, was very responsive and patient during our communications. I thank her for her professionalism and kindness. However the lack of customer service and no follow up from the sales rep and project manager prior to and during the installation was very frustrating and disconcerting. I opted to work with the company because I wanted to support local businesses and Thompson Creek can deliver products faster than the competition nowadays. I am going back with Pella for the reminding windows and doors. The wait is longer but Pella actually delivers what you ask for and above. It is more expensive as well but I am willing to pay extra for professional services and quality installation. I paid extra $200 for casing around the window. The scratches were not repaired because I was told "Thompson Creek is not a painting company"! There is much more I was disappointed with, especially not receiving cookies after installation was completed. Instead I was recently sent a $500 credit card to use for my next project with Thompson Creek. Not going to happen! Of course, you have to disclose it before negotiating your next project. Gustavo Rodriguez: Tony arrived at the house on time and was incredibly respectful. He went through the value proposition and showed me the options for replacing my door. We were able to come up with a great price and we actually ordered additional windows for the dining room. I would happily use Thompson Creek again and recommend them to all of my friends looking to replace their old windows. Edited after the installation: Kim Williamson and the entire Thompson Creek team were equally amazing as Tony. They showed up in the time window we agreed on. They were super careful to cover furniture and made sure to clean up everything after they were done. Damien Frierson: I was initially very please with the install. However, there was a rip in one of the new screens. Thompson Creek sent someone out to make the repair. We were initially pleased that the person noticed that not one but two of the screens were damaged from the initial install. After he checked the screens we were told that we did not have to worry about anything else. It was only after he had left and I checked the screens that I realized both replacement screens had gaps in the side and the netting was bunched in certain places. The new screens looked worse than the previously damaged screens. I am scheduled to have them replaced once again in two weeks. While I appreciated the overall job, details like this brings down the quality of the work. I would recommend them but pay attention to details! Services: Custom doors , Window installation

Howard Wrightson: I purchased a new floor to ceiling bay style windows for the living room of my home. The organization was professional with the exception of one hiccup. It should be said that nothing in the world is perfect and how a company deals with these hiccups shows their true colors. That being said they felt with that hiccup in an excellent and professional manner . I was contacted early in the job by Tyechia Walton, who was my project coordinator . She was very professional and helpful at all times. On the day of install a team of three people led by a woman named Yani arrived and swiftly went to work . They were kind and professional at every moment. In the end the work done i could not be happier with. Very excellent quality and the overall look is fantastic . Kevin Troyano: Over 5 months since the initial installation of 11 windows and 2 sliding glass doors. All windows except two were defective from the factory and needed to be replaced. To this day I still have one defective window that is halfway installed. Installers have been out 4 times and have yet to complete the replacement of the window and repairs of poor craftsmanship. I WOULD NOT recommend TC to anyone. They provide top quality lip service and equally poor customer service. For what I paid for these windows and doors I expected far better product quality and installation quality. The only part of this experience that went off without a hitch was the start of the payments on the loan. TC promised me a credit to my loan due to having so many issues and for me having to take so many days off of work for them to be at my house. I HIGHLY doubt that I will ever see a credit or even a completed window. I purchased top of the line double hung, double pane windows. The insulating value is negligible compared to my 25 year old previous windows. At least I don't hear wind blowing through the new windows. Thompson Creek - Finish the job that I paid you for. Update-5/3/2022 Made a dispute with the loan company. 3 months elapsed without resolution. Loan company credited me 10% of the loan. I worked out a deal with Thompson Creek to also credit the loan instead of fixing the window. 10'ish months total and I will just fix the issues myself.

Mary Sharkey: Im pretty disappointed. This company's customer service is terrible. We used Thompson Creek to replace 16 windows in our house and financed the deal through them. This was in October. When the install date came in the beginning of December- 2 of our 3 -same sized windows came in incorrectly. They couldn't be installed until February! Then February comes around, the windows are installed but the screen is loose. I'm still waiting for them to fix them. Oh and I asked for compensation for all the trouble of having mismatched windows for the entire holiday season and I was offered a laughable $75 on a sixteen thousand dollar project. I talked them up to $150 comp. How pathetic. And they have cancelled appoints on me due to rain and processing delays every time I see their number I know they are telling me about some other delay. But guess what?! they sent us cookies after the project and reminded us to give a review ... how nice. Here is my honest review I'm not thrilled the product is nice but when you order in October and are still dealing with issues March, you wonder how reliable they will be if we need to make a warranty claim or responsive of problems in the future. Below is a photo of the mismatched windows that was left for months because of a measuring and/or data entry mistake during the entire holiday season. Service: Window installation

Drew Hill: We purchased a 20 year old house and the front door needed to be replaced. Unfortunately, it was a non-standard width with side-lite windows. While it took a few months to have the door built, when it came time to install the door they noticed that the wood under the door frame had rotted out. They replaced that for us with no extra hassle and installed our RING doorbell, even though that wasn't part of the package. I would HIGHLY recommend Thompson Creek to anybody looking to get work done (doors/windows/gutters). Patricia Walters: From beginning to end the service from Thompson Creek was impeccable! I had eight windows replaced. 7 double hung with screens and one slider. Brian came to talk to me and find out what my needs were, and was able to show me the actual product and explain how the windows were made, I was blown away by the quality. Kimberly Sweitzer: I choose Pella to replace some windows in my home. The whole process was very easy and affordable. Their representative Troy Owens was extremely friendly and knowledgeable of the windows. He took his time to listen to what I wanted and explained which windows he thought was the best for my home. Then to my surprise he even stopped by during the install to make sure that everything was to my satisfaction. Jennifer Shown: Hello! We just ordered three new doors, a set of French doors, and two large venting windows with screens. We are so excited and can hardly wait for them to be installed. Dwight Flynn was our Pella sales rep. He came to our house, twice so far, in fact- two nights in a row. The second time he came back was to suggest an even better option for the two venting windows, which were originally going to be stationary windows. We were so pleased with the service he provided. I am going to recommend Pella to anyone needing windows or doors. Landon Rordam: Long story short: Bad communication, botched delivery, months-long delays, and so many change orders the finished product is completely different from what we were sold. Working with this Pella office has been a terrible experience from start to "finish." We ordered a door and a window. As soon as we signed the contract and issued payment they submitted four change requests for our door via email, but never sent new mockups. After six months of waiting and two measuring appointments, a door arrived that didn't fit. Yet they still wanted payment, and we couldn't get hold of anyone to help resolve. Another four months went by, and then they called to tell us they lost our custom paint we provided them and asked us to buy them more. Finally the new door arrived. It looked substantially different (and much worse) than what we had picked out with our salesperson, and to top it off, after it was installed we realized that the factory installed the brass hardware crooked! At each issue we have faced a game of "not my problem/fault/job" and trying to get anyone to help us and follow through on what they said was impossible. Typically I try and find a saving grace to upgrade a one-star review to a two-star review if I can. Our second installation team, led by Sergio, was incredibly fantastic and professional. But our experience working with any of the business office personnel at Pella has been truly abysmal. We chose Pella and paid top dollar because we wanted the best. Dana Grosser-Clarkson: We bought a house with newly installed Pella windows but on 4 of the narrow windows they seemed to be lacking a weather seal. We noticed a significant air flow during the winter. We emailed Pella in late January and sent pictures. They scheduled us for a tech to visit in early April. Tech (Armando) arrived during scheduled window and quickly assessed issue and ordered new seals to be installed in May. Armando was super friendly and showed me how the various windows worked (two different models in our house for some reason). I'll update review when issue is fully resolved. Service: Window repair

E J Moscatelli II: Typically not one to leave reviews, however... My wife and I thought it appropriate given the multiple estimates and sales folks we had seen for our Spring remodeling projects. Our sales representative Jasper of Pella Doors and Windows, in Vienna, was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and above all listened to our goals/requirements. We felt many of the other companies tried to "over sell" products or push high-end/dream home product lines. Jasper has communicated expectations, time lines, and has been super responsive to questions/requests. Craven Moorehead: We are early on in the process and really just needed some pricing so we could figure out how many we could do and what kind of budget we needed to prepare for. We contacted a few companies and although the products were different, their sales pitch was nearly identical with having to sign right now for a certain price and we're just not there yet. My brother told me he worked with someone who had his windows replaced and was very happy with the process. Ended up talking to him and found out that he used Pella and did it in two phases. Back of his house first and then the front last year. I can tell you he is an effective spokesman for Pella and during our call, he actually conferenced in and introduced his sales rep, Bill Reames. Dealing with Bill was and is a completely different experience. Super professional and easy to communicate with. He understood our situation and laid out a plan that makes sense both logically and financially and right now, that's what we needed. We're not quite ready yet but expect to pull the trigger in the December - January time frame. We're excited about getting Pella windows and extremely comfortable dealing with Bill. Todd C.: Have given the window man many chances to resolve an issue that they caused when they installed our 14 windows for around $1,000 a piece. No small cost for something that they say is guaranteed. However, I've had two people now come to the house and have called the business multiple times in the last year to try to get an insulation/caulking issue resolved where they installed the window and didn't actually insulate around the window will enough. I can't seem to get someone to actually call me back even though they already know the SU and know exactly what to do to resolve the issue. It is causing drafts inside of our master bedroom bathroom that is purely related to the window itself. In addition, it took months just to get weather stripping on a separate window that we knew and reported that the moment we saw it installed while workers were here. The windows themselves, even though stated to be very well insulated and protected actually seem to let in more air than our previous really old wood windows. I'm not totally bought into the fact that these are the second best material on the market behind composite. And maybe not worth the additional 30 to 40% over vinyl. It's amazing how this wouldn't have gone to a two star rating if window man actually followed up on issues reported on "guaranteed" windows. Service: Window installation

The sales process was straightforward and easy, and we like the product they installed. The issue is more with how the installation has aged. The caulk they used around the inside of the windows and doors has turned yellow on every single fixture. Another contractor let us know this is likely a symptom of using an outdoor caulk inside. The original team that came out did an outstanding job providing an installation on a large replacement door. I was very happy with the installation. While the quality of work was outstanding, the door had a minor drag on the threshold a couple of years after the installation. WindowMan was an outstanding team and they arranged to have the door adjusted under their installation warranty. Their lead installer came out and did an invisible job of rehanging the door with no marring of the finishes around the door. Harry is an outstanding true master craftsman. It was my pleasure to see his work in action. Anyone would be lucky to see him work or to apprentice with him to learn how to do a job right. Louis Peasley: I contracted with the Window Man to replace our front door and sidelights. Cost was $11,400 of which I paid $6000 upfront, balance after installation. Door installed July 24, 2020. That afternoon I received a bill for the balance, which I paid July 28, and which was a terrible mistake. The same day I paid the balance, and just 4 days after installation, the door developed a terrible groan, so loud and unpleasant the door was unusable. I contacted Window Man via email- no response. A week later I emailed again. This time I received a response, and finally a team examined the door August 31, and yes, you have a problem. I offered to pay for the new hinges at my own expense. My only recourse now is litigation, naming both the Window Man and ProVia as defendants. We will install new windows in our home next spring, but we won't hire the Window Man. I recommend that hire another firm for work to your home. Service: General door installation

I am a real estate agent, when any of my clients and friends are in need of new windows or doors, without a doubt I will give the Window Man a big shout out.

Kimberly S: I cannot begin to recommend this window company high enough! So many companies say that they offer great customer service and stand behind their products, but if a problem occurs down the line, it’s like pulling teeth trying to get their assistance. Not with the Windowman! I bought my house 14 months ago, knowing that the windows were original and would need to be replaced. Half of them didn’t close properly, were rotted wood and super drafty. Soon after I moved into the house, I realized that I had water leaking in from the sliding glass door, something that the home inspector missed. I interviewed about 10 different companies and ended up going with the Windowman based on my neighbor’s experience with them and how impressed I was by how much time they took to educate me on the difference between vinyl and fiberglass windows. I have to be honest that the fiberglass windows are more expensive, but they look much better than vinyl and have a lifetime warranty. You get what you pay for. I set a start date for the project in early fall, with the Windowman replacing not only the windows but the rotted sills. Once the project got underway and the siding removed, we realized that the whole back of my house was basically rotted away! The scope of the project was much bigger than just windows, and the Windowman helped me find a contractor who could fix the back of the house so we could install the windows. Long story short, the project took months longer than anticipated and the Windowman was fabulous about working with my schedule and coordinating with the contractor. Due to weather delays and other unforeseen issues, the Windowman made several trips. On the day some of the windows were installed, it started to rain halfway through the installation which could affect the spray foam they used. They came back another day to fix the insulation to make sure my house wasn’t drafty. Unfortunately, stopping the water coming into the house through the sliding door wasn’t an easy fix. After trying different caulking materials ect I still had water seeping in. Both the Windowman installers and the other contractor came out multiple times over the course of 7 months to try and fix the issue. Finally, Tom the owner of the Windowman came to my house and realized that the concrete slab which the sliding glass door sits on is unlevel and slightly slanted downward towards the house instead of away from the house. A level barely showed this and you can’t tell by just looking at the door. At their own expense, the Windowman worked with a metal company to have a custom made “pan” that the entire 8 ft sliding door sits on, removed the door and reinstalled it. And it solved my water issue proven after a week straight of rain! The Windowman promised to solve the issue and they stood by their word and I am very grateful! Because I replaced 14 windows, a huge sliding glass door, an entry and storm door plus rebuilding the back of my house, I couldn’t afford to do the front door (which is framed by 15 small windows – thus expensive!) this year but plan to do so next year. And I won’t hesitate to use the Windowman once again! All my neighbors have said my windows look fabulous and I have recommended the Windowman to everyone. It’s a rarity these days to find such excellent customer service and they truly care about their customers.

Michael Glumac: The Window Man truly is the educational window company. They taught me more about windows than I even knew to consider! At no point do they use high-pressure to sell something. I recommend The Window Man to anyone looking for good products (forget vinyl) and GREAT value.

Amy Naoum: We recently had all of the windows in our house replaced by Supreme Window. Our house was built in 1920 and still had the original, beautiful windows installed over 100 years ago. The original windows were drafty and had begun to really wear, so it was time to replace them. Bryan at Supreme helped us pick the perfect wood windows to replace the originals. In fact, you can hardly tell they are not the originals, aside from the functionality and how clean they are! The windows facing the side and back of the house were replaced with high quality, more economical vinyl windows that match the esthetic and also work great. After another company botched the sliding glass door installation at my son's apartment in Hyattsville, we made a call to The WindoCo. We began our conversation with Josh from customer service who answered my questions and explained the process thoughtfully. Then, he booked us an appointment with their salesman. When Shane met with us, he took measurements and gave us an estimate for the project. He also showed us products that would be the most feasible for my son's apartment. We waited a couple of weeks for the doors to be made and delivered, but we're so happy with the quality and durability of the materials. The installer also did his job very well. They offered us the lowest quote, and they were consistently professional and courteous throughout the entire process. No high-pressure sales tactics. They explained our options to us so that we could make choices that best suited our needs. Their team, which consisted of five people, completed the job in one day, and the end result reflected solid workmanship and an attention to details. When we noticed a small issue the next day with the storm door, Connor (Operations Manager) came over right away to see if he could fix it. Several members of the team also showed up and, and they resolved the problem. We could not be happier with the quality of their work or with their professionalism. We recommend them without hesitation.

Thomas Moreno: We needed to replace our patio and deck french doors. We could have went with a previous large vendor we engaged who installed our ProVia front door, but we are SO Happy to have found AWS, and specifically Mike Rogers. We called AWS to schedule an estimate to replace booth doors. I was not quite comfortable with the delayed schedule. Mike Rogers immediately called us back and informed us he could be right out to our house literally the next day. He showed up!! Professional, listening, understanding, informative, responsive. He provided us with our estimate - the pricing was the best we have seen. We engaged on a contract, the doors were manufactured, delivered and installed in a time frame I did not think was possible. The installers were Very Very good and handled all concerns with the highest standards I have seen to date. This whole experience - hands down - put our last experience with the front door vendor in the rear view mirror and has absolutely raised the bar. We will go with AWS again in the future and highly recommend them to all who want exceptional service, great pricing, and high quality products.

William Edwards: I spoke with the GM named Phil of American Windows and siding. I called to see about having a new French door installed. He told me to take a picture of the doors and to email him. I asked if he could email or text me his contact information. He never did and by his tone I knew he wouldn't . I used them once before on windows. Which had to be replaced within a short time because of the poor quality product. I thought this time I would use a high end product. Before I could even get a word in he became very condescending and wouldn't let me speak on what I wanted. This was same attitude I got years ago from his other business partneri Ed when I had to show him that my windows leaked with a garden hose because he didn't believe me. Stay away from these arrogant men.

Some gentleman answered the phone and I explained how the window was leaking and before I could get any further he was adamant about how it wasn’t necessarily the window leaking etc. etc. so I never got to ask the question because he kept cutting me off. I don’t think I would want to deal with a company like this. I’m so floored right now that I just don’t even know what else to say. I never wanted anyone to search for a leak I simply wanted to know what my options were to replace the window and what I had been looking into was glass block so I have no clue if this company does that. But I know I cannot deal with people who cannot listen! Wow!!!

Kwanho Roh: I absolutely love the whole processes. Unlike other big names, Mr. Scott didn’t push at all. No sale pitch and other hidden fees. Everything was transparent. When I requested a estimate, he contacted me that evening and stopped by in two days. He spent less than 20 min to measure windows sizes roughly. That was it! He sent me a quote next day and the price was really competitive. We communicated via emails for several questions and he answered them all quickly. He gave me enough time to make the final decision. Like I mentioned earlier, no pressure. Once I made the decision and signed contract, the actual contractor came by to measure everything accurately. After waiting several months (it took longer than I expected because of the pandemic), windows and sliding door finally arrived and set up the installation date. The installation contractor, Mr. Park’s team, is absolutely great. They were professional and their workmanship is beyond expectation. Several occasions, his team confronted some issues and they explained them clearly and found ways to get jobs done. His team cleaned all debris both inside and outside. I noticed that my front and backyards were cleaner than before. In less than two days, 11 windows and 1 sliding door were finally installed. They all look beautiful and I am more than satisfied, I will absolutely hire them again for any future projects! Update... Since I was so satisfied with the new windows from Zen Windows, I decided to replace the front door and the storm door. Again the process to get a quote was quick transparent and Scott never urged or pushed me. After confirming what I needed, it was all set. On the day of installation (waiting time was much shorter than windows), a son and father team arrived on time. They started removing doors and frames quickly. Their workmanship was exceptional and meticulously detail-oriented. They cut door frame moulding precisely so it looked seamless. They also removed damaged panels and replaced it perfectly. They also installed a new door bell button and house numbers (I got them while they were working on doors). Every time I go out and come back home, I feel like I live in a new house. Again I'm so happy with the result and will recommend Zen Windows to anyone planning for windows and door replacement.

Brent Barone: When we bought our home back in 2018, one of our many to do's was to replace the aged and worn windows throughout the house. Fast forward a couple years to recently and the time had come. Trying to find a good window company can be daunting - there are more than a few, most of which seemed to feature gimmicky sales tactics. Thankfully I came across Zen Windows and I am glad I did. After reading the reviews I contacted the company sett up an appointment for an estimate / consultation. Scott (the owner) was very professional and listened closely to our needs and what we were looking for in our new windows. He was extremely knowledgeable and customer focused making sure we understood all the benefits and costs associated with all the window products they offered. Additionally, he was completely honest and transparent with what was needed and what wasn't - he advised our kitchen bay window and ground floor bathroom window were more recent than the others and not necessarily in need of a replacement at this time. When the time for installation came the team arrived exactly when they said they would and were incredibly courteous, professional, and skilled. The team followed all safety protocols and kept me informed as the project went along. Scott came by both days during the installation to ensure everything was going well and to answer any questions as the project wrapped up. The team cleaned up everything outside and inside once they had finished and left our home exactly the way it was before the installation started. The results are absolutely amazing, my wife and I couldn't be happier with our new windows! In addition to replacing most of the windows in the home, we wanted to modify the living room window set up - changing it from 6 small panel windows into 3 large windows - Zen Windows performed this modification exactly the way we had wanted, which has really enhanced the curb appeal of the house as well as the lighting inside. Hun Kim: The whole process from start to finish was easy and painless. Scott was very responsive and answered all of our questions and concerns. We sat through two other windows consultation, and they were both hard sales pitches. I like Zen Windows' business model. We went with Zen Windows because of their warranty, price, and their great reviews. His crew did a great job during installation as well. We had old metal frame windows along with storm windows on the outside, so the job took a bit longer, but it was well worth it. We replaced it with their Lotus windows by Soft-Lite. We love our new windows. I would definitely recommend them and use them again in the future!

Kagnew Ban: I don't have enough words to praise Scott Halle and his team. We got a total of five quotes (two smaller companies, two larger regional/national names, and Zen), three of the companies made the process absolute hell with high pressure sales tactics: lengthy sales pitches, inaccurate information, gimmicks, shady discounts (if you sign right away, if you post a lawn ad, if you write a review, etc). The sales tactics were the same as used car lots and timeshares. Then came Mr. Scott with Zen Windows. He arrived at the appointment on time, measured our windows, handed us brochures, answered our questions, and left without us having to push him out the door like we did the other sales people. He followed up with additional information via email, answered more of our questions, and made the process painless. We went with the Zen Nirvana (Soft-Lite Classic Plus Series) Double Hung. Out of the five quotes, although not the cheapest, Zen was on the affordable side. Now, three months after the install having had them through winter, we can say the value is unbeatable. We would be remiss if we didn't praise the install crew who went above and beyond on a difficult job. The project manager (Mr. James Bond...yes, how cool is that name) visited our home twice on the day of the install to ensure everything was perfect and debris was cleaned up. Rosalyn Greeley: We loved working Scott and the team at Zen Windows. They were fast to respond and easy to work with. Getting an original quote was quick and easy and Scott made sure to send me some information on the types of windows they would install so I had all the information I needed and knew more about the quality of their products. We ended up waiting about a year between getting the quote and moving forward with installing our windows but as soon as I reached back out Scott was on it. He was upfront about some materials taking longer to arrive due to the pandemic and kept us updated every step of the way. His team also worked with our schedule to get the windows installed as soon as they could. They went in yesterday and we couldn't be more thrilled with the end result. And his product has a lifetime warranty. Having worked with another window company we were not thrilled with it made ALL the difference when we found Zen Windows. They are a great company to work with and did a fabulous job with the installation! I highly recommend them to anyone looking for window and door work!

Katie Mugg: After much thought and research, my husband and I decided our house needed new windows. In the 6 years we've owned our home, at least a dozen window salesmen have solicited our business. None of them gained it however as we felt they were sales methods weren't top rate. It was refreshing to have the ball in our court from the beginning. My husband contacted Pella directly and set up an in home consultation. Bill arrived on time, happily engaged with us, did a through job measuring all the windows to be replaced and explained the difference between the types of windows Pella makes as well as how they compare to other brands. My husband and I felt like our time was respected and that our money is being used on a quality product that will add life and energy efficiency to our home. Our installation date is not till the fall so I cannot speak to the quality of installation but given our experience with Bill and the 10 warranty on labor Pella offers, I suspect we will be in good hands and not disappointed. Kay: I have used Pella twice and will be going back a 3rd time to finish out my basement windows and door and it's due to my fantastic sales rep, Chris Kayser, along with the quality of the products. Chris has always been super responsive and tried to move projects along even when global supply chain issues were causing delays. He helped create historically accurate looking windows when I had to replace the 100 -year old steel casements on the front of the house. I'm very happy with the service and the product. Joshua Cruse: Overall; Lowe’s as a company/brand has declined in recent years. In my recent experience, though, this location in particular seems to be the least reliable of all the stores in the metro DC area. Across departments, their inventory is grossly misrepresented in the app (by dozens), and the associates are generally not helpful in determining whether or not they actually have the items in the store. They are quick to blame “the system”. However, I’m not patronizing their system. I [was formerly] patronizing them. So, if it’s an issue with just this location; avoid this location. If it’s company-wide, avoid the company. That’s how consumers should react to their blame-game logic. At this point, it just simply appears Lowe’s is artificially inflating their inventory counts online to get customers in the door. That’s misleading and dishonest. Alternatively; the big-orange-box competitor’s site/app will direct you to contact the specific store if the quantity is low or out of stock. Still not as honest as a flat “we’re out”, but better than inflated counts. YMMV. Buyer beware.

Kwadwo Tuffour: Took this painting to figure out how to get it up on my wall, and to get the right kind of nails to do it. Sales associate was able to take me right to what I needed and shower me how to hang it. Mission accomplished. Bonus: Had a nice, brief conversation with the cashier, Radha about the different women in the picture. She recognized a couple and asked about a few, which i told her.

John Kean: A home improvement store that's worth a longer drive. It has well-organized and labeled stock that is free of the grimy dust in competitor's stores. The staff has been exceptionally pleasant and helpful. Smaller than other home stores, so I have some items delivered to the store, usually in a day, and then I am sure the item will be available. I have used the store's contractors for air conditioning installation and gutter replacement. Both were excellent and cost was the lowest or close to lowest.

Kari Podhajsky: It was a perfectly fine and clean store. It had what we were looking for. The women's bathroom needed a little bit of love, but it certainly got the job done. The employees were friendly and helpful. The signage was accurate and easy enough to find everything that we needed. Plus there was ice cream nearby!

Jessica Osorio Jimenez: Go to the Chantilly store, it is not that far away, it is bigger with a larger selection, better organized and doesn't have a Norma. I absolutely abhor having no choice but to listen to someone in "management" belittling and berating an employee from the corner front of appliance to to past the appliance desk in front of customers or other employees, there is absolutely no need for it. If that would've happened before I purchased my appliances, I would've have left and purchased them elsewhere. The other employees are helpful but they look harassed and stressed. I even went back a couple of times to see if the atmosphere had changed, but 🤷‍♀️ it may get better once the reorganization is complete but until then, just go to the Chantilly store.

Tracey Greene: Went and got spare keys for mom. I'm so happy they had a great variety of different colors to choose from so that you can use certain keys to identify certain doors for your house. And the guy who helped me do the keys he was so nice. Thank you for the great experience

Dawn Wunderle: After more than 7 phone calls to 3 different numbers trying to schedule appliance installation, I was lucky this morning to have been assisted by Joshua Lewis in the Floral and Garden Department. Even though it is not his department or responsibility, he patiently worked through getting the dishwasher I ordered on January 13th scheduled for installation. If there were 10 stars - I would select all 10 for Joshua! Patient, courteous and helpful and he went above and beyond to assist me!

Yumiko Cook: I had outstanding customer service from Gretchen. All the time she was polite, friendly, and tried to find what I was looking for. Unfortunately, the store didn’t carry the fluorescent light bulbs. But she gave me more information of it about me to order it easier.

Blake Gregory: I had the Best experience I've ever had at this Lowe's Store. The young lady in the Appliance area was helpful, knowledgeable and got our Refrigerator delivered the next day. A 10 star experience in satisfaction.

Amy Cormack: This is a second time that i have been asking to replace my windows. It's the same issue that happened, between the glass look like their have mold in it! I asking them from last year 2021 around September, after that they sent someone came to measure the windows and said about 1-2 months, but they will send an email to confirm. We didn't their email until around October we call back to them they said will check for us. November we call back again they said they forgot to order the windows. And now February 2022 no one call or contact about my replacement windows. I kept call them back every 2 business days as they said in about 48 hrs someone will contact me!!! I have been calling them the whole month and I also call their corporate. The corporate said they will contact the owener of DC area and now still no one call me back. They treat me like I installed their windows for free!! To the company if you think you can't make a good after service please tell the client first and don't give the life warranty. !!!! Corneilus Stephens: Window World of Washington DC (WWDC) installed all of the windows at my home in July 2021. On the same day, I emailed WWDC about their mistakes and Greg P. ensured me that the company would fix the issues. The issues are the following: windows installed improperly, uneven borders/frames, lack of caulking, cold air entering through window frames during the winter, and more. Please see the pictures for proof. On September 20, 2021, Greg P. stated, "I will get with my team and make sure this is handled properly and as soon as possible" and "We will all help to ensure we get these issues resolved." As of June 8, 2022, the company has yet to fulfill its obligations. I emailed WWDC several times but received no response. One of my favorite quotes from Greg P. is, "I can assure you nobody is avoiding anything." Update: As of 6/24/2022, WWDC sent a reliable person to fix the outstanding issues on the spot. I'm very content. Service: Window installation

Lisa Grimm: Signed contract for siding, facia and replacement boards as needed to make outside maintainance free in January 2021. Finally installed August 4th with many months of no contact. First photo February 7, 2022, second photo March 7, 2022. As of April 16th I have no resolution just a text saying they would contact maintenance. Reached out to corporate office in NC and I still can't get a date for repairs or a phone call. Obviously, no wood was replaced and they just covered it so I wouldn't have known if it didn't start coming off house.

Tom Dressler: Long lead time..6-8 weeks for manufacture since they are built to the house sizes. Installers were good, friendly, prompt...seemed to know what they were doing...conscientious about cleaning up. One window was installed with a crack in it and I was told a new one would be ordered. I paid in full. Almost 2 months later, I'm still waiting and I have to keep reaching to them for any update. After installation, most of the windows leak air at the sash. I was told they need to be adjusted but that would be done when new one arrives. Winter here in Northern Virginia and leaky windows is not ideal. I will update as the situation progresses, but right now,I'm not a satisfied customer, except the windows look nice and fresh. Service: Installation

Doda Johnson: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE PROFESSIONAL LOOKING WEBSITE. 10/22/2021 Update: I was hoping that I could update this with good news. However, that is not the case. Window World still has not completed the work. They came again, took a look and left. They showed up at our house, no appointment and then left. We are now at the end of our patience and the next step is through the courts. 9/7/2021 Update: Window World finally came and fixed the incorrect installation of the gutter on August 21. However, the gutter covers are still not installed. The facia wood still has not been replaced as agreed upon on the contract. I have called multiple times for the gutter cover to be installed but have so far been ignored. This issue is now several months. 7/31/2021 Update: Immediately after I posted this review, I received a call from Window World and a promise that they will fix the problem. I did receive a visit from the Regional Sales Manager and he took a look at the problem and promised that a crew will come back and a promise "to make it right" with us. That has been about two weeks and several follow up phone calls and still waiting. In the meantime, water continues to gush out of the gutter and is eroding the soil around it. If the water ever goes into my basement, they will have more problems than just the incorrect installation of the gutter. I will continue to update this review until the problem is made right. I sent the below email to Window World after they installed soffits, facia and gutters at my home. I have not heard anything from them and when I called, I was told that they will be at my home to repair the incorrect installation on Friday 7/13. I was not surprised when they again did not show up. I was told that the manager will call me, no phone calls. I regret using this company. I am contacting BBB to find out what my options are in getting a resolution to this problem. Dear Window World, It took me more than a week to write this email because of my frustration with how your people installed the facia, soffit and new gutters at my home. Other than the no show of your installers, you also changed the installation schedule with no regard for your clients. Your customer service was rude and uncaring and hang up the phone because they did not want to deal with a frustrated client. The worst part is that I have lost faith in your company due to several reasons: 1. We paid for the facia boards to be replaced and your installers did not replace the facia boards. All they did was cover the old boards. When we asked, they did not know anything about it. So now, the old facia boards are still there only covered by the siding that was installed. 2. The installation of the gutters were incorrect. See attached pictures. The gutter at the back of the house and the front of the house were installed incorrectly so that water was gushing out. The installers also did not use any type of adaptor to the gutters to make it fit into the current drainage. My husband was able to fix the gutter at the front of the house that was also installed incorrectly. 3. There is a gap between the gutter and the wall at the back of the house that also need to be fixed. 4 Installation of the gutter guard was incorrect whereby one of the covers broke and flew during the storm. This cover as shown in the picture need to be re-installed. The installation performed by your installers was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. Please have someone come back and fix the job as soon as possible. I will appreciate hearing from someone with a schedule when the gutters will be fixed.

Ramez Ghazzaoui: It took a few consecutive delays for the installation to actually happen, but when it actually did, I was blown away by the professionalism and effectiveness of the crew. The windows are very high quality, yes, but what really amazed me is the absolute meticulousness and love for perfection that the installers exhibited while performing the job. The finished product is flawless, they repaired prior damage to the house structure at their own time and expense, and at the end they cleaned up every spec of dust that they had caused, going as far as removing the dead leaves from my back yard's floor because small bits and pieces of the old windows and old insulation were intermixed with those leaves. The few items that were imperfect (e.g. window pane broken during transportation), they offered to replace them before I even asked. And I didn't have to pay the post-deposit balance until everything was finished to my full satisfaction. Because of the initial delays, I also got to know the company's president and owner; He is a perfect gentleman willing to go the extra mile to make things right.

Mary Poston: In 2019 I had my siding and windows replaced by this company. Initially the job appeared adequate until a piece of siding fell off less than a year after the work. They sent out someone to fix it, and the contractor informed me the work was done poorly. In December 2021 another piece of siding fell off and I called to have it fixed. After multiple phone calls of nobody getting back to me, they sent someone out on 12/28/21. However, the office told him he was there to fix a patio door (which I have never had done with WW) and therefore did not have the right equipment. After more calls with staff pushing my problem aside a person was supposed to show up on 1/26/22 but no showed. Then again a person was supposed to come on 1/28/22 and again another no show. All around this company appears to be incompetent on every level. I should not have to call dozens of times to have simple work done. Use another company for your siding needs. The product quality and installation is/was outstanding even though supply chain issues delayed delivery by 5 months. However, the sliding glass doors did not come with the ordered screen doors - again “supply chain issues.” When we call to inquire about the status of those screen doors we are met with rude customer service - they seem annoyed that we ask about the status. Then a couple of weeks ago (6 months after the installation) they called to schedule delivery and installation of the screens. Great! But the service technician shows up with only one screen door out of the three we require. We call the store manager and he tells us it’s not his fault - supply chain! christopher gabler: As a truck driver delivering goods there it was, and always is a bad experience. One alley access for tractor trailers with truck traffic from another business, no place to park except for an odd shaped small lot with ABC trucks in the way. Very challenging to try to back in the lot with impatient triaxle drivers and a train that comes every 5 minutes. If you do manage to get parked count on a three to four hour wait. Oh, and there's also customers in four wheels that just park anywhere. Once you manage to make it to the unloading area you can count on another hour or more wait because the forklift drivers will take a piece off of your truck then disappear for 15 minutes or help a customer and leave you sitting. Today I sat for an extra half hour with one piece left to unload. Once it was taken off the one with my paperwork would ignore me and disappear in the back or continue to other things. Total lack of respect for the truck drivers who are supplying them and keeping them working. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS UNLESS YOU'VE GOT NOTHING BETTER TO DO THAN SIT AROUND ALL DAY!!!

I came into the HomeDepot wanting to purchase a tool but noticed that no one was around to help with removing the tool and also the orange apron associates were busy with customers. I decided to go to “CUSTOMER SERVICE” to see if anyone can help me with taking the tool out of the cage. Once I walked over to customer service I politely asked an associate if there was anyone that can help with taking a tool out? She then asked me in what aisle was the tool in? While I was going to look and see what isle, there was another associate named TIFFANY who was next to the associate who I spoke with TIFFANY SAID THAT I PASSED 5 ORANGE APRONS BEFORE COMING TO CUSTOMER SERVICE WHY COULDN’T I ASK ONE OF THE OTHER PEOPLE WITH APRONS. I mentioned that I came to customer service because that is the purpose of customer service, to service the customer. I left and serviced myself in trying to find someone who can actually help me. TIFFANY SHOULD NOT BE IN CUSTOMER SERVICE IF SHE IS NOT WILLING TO SERVICE CUSTOMERS HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

Tony Johnson: The check out lines are a tad perplexing. No designated demarcation only an arbitrary queue forming on the right so potential confusion is created but relatively easily resolved. Aka. They use a lot of self checkout.

Helena Daras: I cannot recommend Window and Door Showplace. We had a wonderful experience having our Marvin french doors installed. They came back to move our security camera after the Phantom Screens were installed and had to move camera. Overall great service!

Stephanie Magloire: Hired them to install sliding bypass closet doors and they were unclear about the fact that the doors would not be finished. The quality of the install seems fine. We were just shocked that the contractor said he was “done”. The sales person (Scott) and communication stated that the doors would be "factory primed for finish by others". By others is not a clear statement that the doors would not be painted which is disappointing especially since I sent them a photo of a white door to demonstrate what I wanted. They charged me $1,800 to install 2 sets of sliding doors. I have record of the cost of the doors and they were no more than $500 for all 4 doors. There was probably another $100 in other materials. Which means they charged me $1,200 in labor for a 2 person 2.5 hour job. Does this even sound reasonable?

Alan R: I highly recommend Window & Door Showplace. We remodeled our home in 2020, including installing all new windows and exterior doors. Our general contractor spoke highly of Marvin Windows and said that he worked with this business and thought they’d be our best choice. Our timeline was very short for submitting our building permit. We met with Sean McClellan at the McLean showroom (Sean now works in the Alexandria showroom). Sean helped us quickly narrow our options and optimize the window layout for our home. He took lots of time with us in a short period and was a pleasure to work with throughout the process. His recommendations were perfect. He also helped us decide on Provia doors and order them and they’ve been a great choice as well. The Marvin windows are beautiful. There are so many choices offered by this manufacturer and we like that the new construction windows (we replaced our siding) and replacement windows (for the masonry) essentially look identical inside and outside. The Provia doors are very high quality and look great. They also both are working very well and are helping us to conserve energy. I mention Sean specifically because he was our first contact and helped us meet our design and ordering deadlines and he also was available during the installation process. I will add that every employee we worked with has been top-notch. From office to delivery to ownership to after-installation technical service, the professionalism, follow-through, product knowledge, and integrity have been at the highest level. If we had to do the project all over again, this is the business we would choose.

I had 3 different jobs with Window Plus and all have been impeccable. They installed windows on the front of my Townhouse over three years ago, rear windows 2 years ago and a set of storm doors last year. During a recent storm, I had water coming in around one of the windows and called Paul Jones. He came out early the next day and identified the problem as dried caulking around the flash panels on all of the windows and garage door. I had it repaired and no more leaks. His quick response was above my expectations. Strongly recommend Widows Plus for top quality, excellent customer service and very reasonable costs.

M Durb: These guys did a great job with my window replacement job! From the initial quote to the detailed measurements to the installation and the post-installation inspection, I could not have been happier with the professionalism displayed. In the summer of 2016 I had HD replace 1/3 of my windows. This time (winter of 2017) I went with the smaller, local team. I saved significant $$ over Home Depot, (I had a quote from both) and both the service and the installation was much better with Windows Plus. For example, the Windows Plus installer spray foamed around each window, while HD stuffed some fiberglass insulation around the windows (when I reminded them that they needed to insulate). Plus, Windows Plus actually showed up on the day that they said they would, for the installation unlike HD. I would not only recommend WIndows Plus to others, I will be calling them again when I need my roof re-shingled.

Eric Curtis: I’ve been trying for months to get in touch with them about a storm door installed just over 3 years ago that doesn’t shut. And now the door handle broke. Salesman left sometime ago so my main point of contact is gone. The office wont call back, doesn’t seem to take or pass on messages, or even remember that I called. Buy somewhere else.

Only issue is that they don't have over night parking so you have to find parking around the neighborhood. Also, shingles are to be delivered down the street in another warehouse. The second thing is they need a delivery appointment, and even if you go on your appointment time, you will spend at least 3 hours there. Zak K: The folks at Windows on Washington were nothing but professional from the get go. They had someone out to provide an estimate to work with my schedule and I received my quote fairly quickly and it was all explained to me clearly before I decided to purchase. Another gentleman came to do the measurements once that was all set. And again, very polite, very professional. Manufacturing of the windows took a little while, but that's not on them. I received periodic updates to keep me in the loop. Once the windows were in, I was able to schedule a date for the install. When a much earlier date opened up, I immediately received an email to reschedule if I wanted. Day of the install, the crew was there for maybe 2-3 hours, but they removed and installed 6 new windows without bother. Honestly surprised how quickly it was done, but even more surprised with the lack of cleanup needed on my part. To summarize, I couldn't be happier with my choice in the company. Eric Hagopian: I could not say a single negative thing about WoW. They have one of the best products for windows around, professional throughout the entire lifecycle of the project (sales, estimations, measurements, pre-installation communications, and post-install follow up), and thoughtful doing work during the pandemic. Mia Mini: In 2017 WoW installed vinyl windows in my condo. The work was done timely and professionally once a delivery glitch was corrected. The windows have performed well and are easy to clean. Owner Eric Novotny honored all contract terms, even for services that were no longer offered. He's continued to demonstrate superior customer service by showing me how to remove/reinstall the screens and sashes years later. I can't recommend WoW highly enough.

milo matute: this is incredible, at 5 in the afternoon and the gate of the garden area was closed I had to buy 12 bags of mulch and 5 bags of stones, and the area according to two employees who I asked told me that this area It was already closed if I wanted to pay I had to take all that to the front gate, they didn't even offer me help on this. If that is true, please, they should update the schedule and specify that the gate closes at 5 so as not to waste time, if not, too bad for those employees who do not recognize that this type of business is due to customers.

Chris Macola: If I could give this place zero stars I would. Whatever you do, do not order any furniture from this place. Not only will they screw it up if it's a delivery, but if you try to get a hold of someone to correct the situation, you'll be transferred from this person to that person and back to the original person again (if they actually answer the phone at all) and you may be on hold for 15 minutes to a half hour and you may very well get disconnected. The only way I got anything done with my messed up delivery was I had to drive there every time and physically talk to someone. The one manager I did talk to over the phone that said he was going to take care of everything was there but no one could ever get a hold of him in the store. I got three different sections of the store that he was supposedly the manager of but no one could ever find him. The furniture itself that I ordered was not assembled very well because the bolts were loose and when it originally came it was not assembled even though we paid to have it assembled. We sent the driver's back and then we had to fight tooth and nail to get them to come out again. Ultimately I had to call their customer service phone number and speak to someone above them to get anything completed. Very bad experience and I will not be going back to this particular Lowe's ever again. It's hard for me to say this but the local Home Depot closest to me was better just about every area than this particular Lowe's. And in my opinion Home Depot is not as good as Lowe's overall. Extremely disappointed.

Denise Anderson: Great place to shop, POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I had to return a lock, I waited on a line for30min, which did not move. The only movement was more people added to the line. Absolutely frustration! I still need to take back the lock, but do not want to spend my entire day waiting in a return line. The need to hire better staff and pay them. Give so e incentives fir coming to work and doing a awesome job. Easy to take money, but trying to return is a beast

Jonas Kibet: Cool home improvement store. I can rate them better than Home depot. I love their app. So cool you can scan for prices of items on the shelf before you check out. The staff and wonderful. The only thing I didnt like was that I checked out an item online and says I can pick it up from the store but is nolonger available in the shelves.

Tyra: Lowes has most of those house hold things you need. To repair or restore. My last experience at this location was very good. Young lady tried to help me but she got someone who had more experience in plumbing who also tried to help me and explain the piece I was looking for. Unfortunately I had to get a refund. The lady who helped me with refund was friendly and nice as well.

Jerome Harper: Set out to fine me a ridding mower this morning , stop by Lowe’s on 301 in bowie. Was able to purchase one in about 15 minutes. And the service was great!! Thanks! Want to say thanks to Ms.Carolyn cashier 10 for her help this morning.

Ssgt Allen: This Lowes - in Largo - is "average". While the location is great - They never have enough staff on the registers..during peak hours. And overall customer service is "not so great". > the customer really has to know this store has exactly what they want in stock -before- you arrive. Otherwise - you're stuck.

Howard Batiste: I went here to get some grade 8 hardware for a project I have at home. It was significantly easier to find what I needed versus shopping at Home Depot and there seem to be a lot more available in terms of volume. Would definitely recommend here if you are shopping around for screws and bolts.

Sharon Harper: Eric and Johnathan was very helpful. 1 helped with the light bulbs/light fixture and the other with dimmer switches and face cover. You all need to have more than 1 register open on a Friday evening. Same on you all plus you need more associates working. People needs job.

beyondTabu: The customer service here is horrendous! The staff would rather watch paint dry than help you. I’ve been here on several occasions and their customer service is consistently non existent.

D Prince: Home Depot in Alexandria you have the BEST employees! I’ve been back and forth to this store for the past few weeks gathering supplies for my remodel. Lillian in the paint department was very helpful in assisting me with my paint colors. She made sure I bought the CORRECT base paint to mix with the colors I picked out for my home. Lawrence (gentleman in the pictures) assisted me EVERY time (and I mean EVERY TIME) I purchased items that needed to be put in my vehicle. And EVERY TIME he serviced with a smile (just look at the pictures). Lawrence is so attentive, respectful and helpful. He made sure the items I purchased were put safely in my vehicle to be transported! THANK YOU LAWRENCE!! And thank you Home Depot Alexandria for hiring such great employees who know the meaning of customer service!

Brian Copes: This is my main Home Depot I go to the Northern Virginia area. It usually has any home improvement or household item that I need for my place. My only issue is sometimes the staff is busy handling other customers questions to answer my personal question. Definitely one of top stores in the area in my opinion. I would recommend you come experience this store yourself.

It took way to long and too much work to finally get connected with someone in customer service who was empowered to resolve my issue, but it finally happened, thank you!! Original Post: Bought a shower door last fall, Home Depot lost it before I picked it up… now I’m out $575 dollars. Managers won’t work with me. Told me I’d have better luck disputing with my credit card company than with Home Depot…then they fought me again there. And this is all after I reordered a second new door of the exact same model. Too bad no one is empowered to help their customers. I wish I’d never taken my business here!!

David Lawrence: I paid $160 for dishwasher installation, cleared my morning to wait for them to come, then the installers refused to do the plumbing. Nothing fancy, just straightforward install. I’ve heard of this happening to others. This is a racket! Stay away from appliance purchases at Home Depot!!

Amre Kebaish: Tread carefully when asking an idle associate about in item that is supposedly in stock according to the website/app, but isn’t available in the stated location. They will angrily glare at you for daring to interrupt their phone scrolling. If you persist, they will eventually sigh and put the phone down. However, they will say whatever it takes to get you out of the store without being helpful.

Russ Colbourne: How do you have half the isles closed on a Saturday morning???? All I needed was a adjustable wrench and they refused to allow me to get it. Totally would understand if there was heavy equipment or something like that in motion. I asked when the isle would be open again and the employee just shrugged her shoulders. I absolutely hate this location but unfortunately it the most convenient. I will be going out of my way to lowes from this point on.

Katherine Matsuo: Came in about 45 minutes before closing looking to buy a power drill. They were all locked up and spent about 20 minutes trying to find someone to help me. They then made the announcement that the store was closing and to bring your items up to the register. Again, no one to help me get the drill I needed. There were about 4 other people in the aisle with me. Decided to just buy one off Amazon as I left the store.

Nathan Winborne: I had a very disappointing experience at this Home Depo location today. I went there to return something and decided to walk around the gardening section afterwards. I walked in and saw a beautiful 6' tall money tree that had no price tag, so I stood in line at the cashier and asked him for a price check. The barcode that was on the planter was not reading when he scanned it so he then sent me to customer service where 2 employees tried to look on the computer at homedepo.com for the price but still couldn't find it. The girl that was helping me at customer service had to go find someone else who also didn't know how to find the price and suggested I talk to a manager. I was about to walk out but decide to find one more person to help so I walked a random cashier that informed me that the managers were all on a meeting on Mondays bit pointed out another employee who she said was more knowledgeable. I went to over to the 5th employee at this point and explained that I was interested in purchasing something in the garden center, but it had no price or barcode. So, we walked back over to the garden center where she confirmed that there was no price or barcode and went and found someone else that worked in the garden center (the 7th employee now). The lady that she found came over and looked at the barcode sticker, peeled it off and was able to type in the sku# where the price finally came up and finally, I was able to purchase the tree. I think that it is highly inexcusable and embarrassing that I had to go through several employees to buy this tree when in reality the first cashier that I spoke to (as a matter of fact every employee that I spoke to) should if been able to solve the problem in a fraction of the time that it took. The manager at this location really needs to train his employees on basic function such as typing in the sku# when the barcode doesn't scan.
