Online Trading Academy Washington DC: what do users think?

Abraham Tadese: If you want to learn about trading, OTA is the right place to come. Good environment. Very welcoming.

Trevor Daniel: My experience with Online Trading Academy DC center has been incredibly positive. I just completed a 7 days core strategy class today and I was very impressed with the material, the hands-on labs and the staff and the level of effort they're putting into ensuring no student is left behind. The instructors I have I had so far have been outstanding and very helpful. These guys don’t just want you to be in class warming up in seats or see you as a dollars sign they truly want you to participate and take full advantage of the program. Also, I don’t know of anywhere you can retake a class for life to include the new curriculum and all you have to pay for the class is the cost of the new books. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend OTA or the DC-Center to friend or family member that wants to learn how to trade and be successful in it. My hats off to folks at DC-Center.

Harold Brown: OTA is proving to be the ideal financial educational answer that I’ve been looking for. The one day and three-day sessions I attended were phenomenal. The presenters were awesome, the environment was great, and the counselors and staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The course material is in depth and extremely detail, geared to prepare you to be a successful trader in today’s markets. I’m scheduled to start my official OTA training in upcoming weeks, and I’m extremely excited.

joseph nocerino: My experiences with OTA over the past 4 years over 5 courses has been excellent. The facilities are well kept and the support staff are friendly and very helpful. The training is top notch through instructors with practical experience in the topic taught, replete with practical knowledge, tips and "how to" examples in a learning environment that is caring and safe for the beginner as well as the more experience. OTA does training well and with your comfort most in mind.

Claudio Osorio: So far so good. The staff did a good job in guiding me in the choosing of the most convenient type of investment that suits me better. I would not trust other bad reviews, which are mostly from people who attended the initial sessions only. Those reviews are mostly from customers who did not join the main courses. These bad reviews are based just on the introductory presentations that don't reflect the real immense value of OTA curriculum. After joining the program, and going through the classes I had many Aha! moments. Classes are very educative, friendly for those who do not know much about economics. I would recommend OTA to anyone that posses a little bit of discipline power, who wants to make extra-money. I feel very happy and pleased with their products and services.

Michael Young: I've been a student and instructor at OTA for over 10 years and it amazes me how dedicated the counselors are and staff is, especially at the Washington, DC center. Just did a class and had a great time with the students and got to know the entire team. Great center and great location. My good friend Craig was teaching to Pro-Trader class and we got to catch up as well. Great job DC......

anna reid: The staff at OTA in Tyson's Corner are incredible. They are genuinely interested in my success. During classes, Rick is going around the room from student to student, helping us keep up with the instructor. It can be very overwhelming, but they are available to help get us through each day. Without them, I don't think I would have ever been confident enough to brave the world of trading. I am looking forward to continue learning other forms of trading.

Raymond R: OTA is THE place to go if you want to learn about trading the markets. The staff is very attentive and helpful. They have the best post-class student support I have ever experienced from any academic institution – the on-going education is invaluable and amazing. The instructors are fantastic, and so is the local staff at the Tyson’s office.

Omid Haidarpour: This review is from my own experience, after reading other reviews I was bit hesitant to write but it might help those thinking to join the OTA to have an idea prior to attend the 3 days training, Specially after their lawsuit with FTC and because I received few sales calls again from the OTA to join the classes, I didn't join after attending the 3 days market timing class which I paid couple of hundreds for it with refund policy which turned to be not valid once you attend the 3 days classes or open their booklet. One of the reason I didn't join the program was the way their sales system works and they talk about their patented methods, the 3 Day introduction/market timing is just to get you their and prepare for the endless, pushy and consistent sales sessions starting second day while you already paid some amount and had the free breakfast. The instructors just go over different topics and QAs with no hieratically in those 3 days because that is not exactly the training or the main point there but an opportunity to hard sale the main programs costing 60k to 25k where it gets tricky and you have to pick one or else you will be called every 10 minutes into another hard sale session until you either join or leave the location for good. I suggest to read their lawsuit on FTC Sep 2020 and in case you still want to join read the refund policy for the 3 days market timing classes before making the payment unless it is free now during pandemic. The amount for programs is way more than the amount of trading for some . I took other inexpensive options to train myself and not regretted.

Stefanie Wendell: Online Trading Academy is hands down the best company I have ever worked for. Not only do they care immensely about every last student, but also treat their employees like family. Waking up every morning knowing today I have another shot at helping someone completely transform their lives through financial education feels absolutely amazing. I look forward to many years to come with my OTA family!

U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission: what do users think?

Brian Pratt: Corrupt. The American people have lost faith in our markets and those who are supposed to help regulate. Gary Gensler is a Goldman phony. Works for the banks and Hedgefunds not Main St. Spineless, pathetic organization that is responsible for allowing trillions of dollars to be stolen from the American Public though Dark Pool and Naked Shorting.

William Lolli: When an agency of government tasked by the People and the Rule of Law to protect the investing Public violates the public trust by abandoning standards of clarity for policies of enforcement, secret meetings, and nod-winking innuendos which deliberately result in markets and technologies being manipulated to the personal benefit of current and former agency leadership, the agency has lost all public trust and itself should be in danger of collapse by the weight of its own corruption. -- Such is the case of the SEC. A failed agency, failing in its mission, boasting of its moral superiority, aiding in the establishment of market monopolies and crushing innovation.

W R: This place is rather corrupt. They told me I need $25,000 to place multiple trades in a day for my own "protection." Then also let brokers who were about to go bankrupt from a liquidity crisis to disable my ability to exchange on the stock market.

Luis G.: Is possible to give 0 stars? The American people need you and your organization is turning your back on us. When history looks back on the 2020’s they will remember how the SEC left it’s countries people stranded and suffering shortly after a pandemic wiped out many of their businesses and jobs.

Jeremy Kintz: Seems kinda worthless. Only protect Wall St while ignoring Main St. They say they work for our protection. If you can play the lottery, join the military for legal murder, and buy as much alcohol as you want, then you should be able to trade your money as you see fit.

Gustavo H. Galvanini-Boldrini: Spot etf!! 50 major countries have it, including Canada, Brazil and Germany. We want a crypto spot ETF. Why are you delaying the innevitable? Bulgaria, Japan... How long more, & why? It's 2022 Gary, and you know blockchain is the future. Thanks.

Michael Andrews: SEC should be embarrassed for not taking action to make markets fair, casinos are better regulated than wallstreet. We need same day settlements, end all dark pools they are being abused and not used for their intended purposes. How do you let a broker stop buying but not selling. Please SEC get it together.

CH K: Staff attorneys are also great law school professors!

Sonny Bara: Failed to protect the retail investor. That’s literally their #1 job!!! They help hedge funds rob money from the people they are supposed to protect.

Ad1eUK: Corruption runs rife, they offer no protection to the retail public. Gary Gensler has let everyone down and will remembered for such!

Interactive Brokers Group Inc: what do users think?

L.T. Trembling: This is a business that relies on being able to provide a reliable trading platform, tech support & efficient reporting. It miserably fails at all of these important services. The only plus is low cost commissions but they come at a high cost. I've been a client for years but not much longer if there isn't a serious shake up there soon.

robert mcgarry: Have been trying off and on for a month to open an account in Washington DC. Have repeatedly called to set up an appointment and have a few questions answered about option levels, access to account balances; etc. Have only got a recording to which I left messages asking for an appointment. They have yet to reply to any of my calls. Ultimately this is a management failure.

Aleks Pausak: Over the years I've used several trading platforms and services to manage my finances. To date I haven't found one to be nearly as efficient, fully featured and powerful as Interactive Brokers. There is a steep learning curve from other online trading services but if you're up for the challenge and really looking to take control of your finances while being able to trade in most markets then Interactive Brokers may be for you. If however you're not Ameritrade or comparable service may be the better option. One of the most attractive offerings by Interactive Brokers is their low fees they definitely put their money where their mouth is in this regard.

sasha dlg: I was assigned several times and everytime IB adds one share of the stock on the contract I get assigned. So' if you were assigned an AMZN 1 contract of Sell PUT, you actually will be assigned to buy 101 shares of Amazon but your statement will only show that you bought 100 shares. So where did the extra share of AMZN go--it has a value of about $2000. I understand that when I buy/sell puts or calls, IB already deducts their fess and commissions.

Jock Friedly: Critical: QualityA mindbogglingly idiotic user experience all the way around. Everything is much much much harder to do than it should be.

Damon Cooper: Good platform, but the customer service is rude. I don't see why their employees have so much attitude.

DALJIT SINGH: Agent was very slow and too carefree - took his time answering questions

ting jiang: very bad trading software, everytime takes long long long long time to loading up.

    Fundrise: what do users think?

Steven Kennan: Fundraiser is a great way to invest. Check it out. I'm up nearly 20% that's great returns. Please read all the fine print and check out reviews online before investing and don't just blindly dive into it. It's been good for me, though, absolutely

Ken Xavier: Fundrise is the very best Crowdfunding platform that I have found. I love the broad diversification of properties in each fund which minimizes risk IMO. They have been in business for nearly 10 years with a stellar performance track record. They are totally transparent with all their transactions which I love and as so many of my family and friends that have invested with Fundrise. They share each and every move they make with you through their investor portal through notification's. I have been invested with Fundrise for over 2 years now and I have entrusted in them with a very large position and the returns have been astounding. Investing with Fundrise is a much safer bet with all the diversification rather than investing in say a single property with other crowdfunding platforms and many times you are in the dark with their past performance IMO. I always recommend Fundrise to anyone that wants to be invested in real estate without the day to day aggravation. I would never own local real estate ever again with all the maintenance and aggravation that goes with it. I find Fundrise very professional, smart, and hard working people. I trust Fundrise!

Bob: Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness, ValueI'm about 5 months in and love my investments, support, and ease of portfolio mgmt. Really happy I found them and love the concept and their management of the money, projects, portfolio. Fees aren't substantial and to me, it's worth every penny. Great concept for diversification. Just got my IRA started so now have both sides covered.

Mitchell Repp: Wow, what an amazing experience with FundRise so far. I started my account in 2020. The dividends and appreciation have been 15%-18% steadily. Investor fees on almost $4k have been satisfactory as well. Two of my coworkers now have accounts set up and they are satisfied. I also set up another account in my wifes name, since we liked the platform so much. I highly recommend FundRise! A+

Adam Thompson: In summary - great platform, but make sure you understand what your after-tax returns will look like. I have been a Fundrise customer since 2018. Customer service has been responsive and helpful, although I have not tried to withdraw (which seems to be a sticking point for other reviewers). The communication/investor updates are enjoyable to read and on-point. I really like what they're doing with the platform. However, depending on your tax situation, Fundrise may not be the right investment for you. They state very clearly in the FAQs that the dividends are not qualified. This means that they are taxed at an unfavorable rate (unlike other REITS, which are tend to be taxed more favorably). While the fund returns they quote are quite reasonable, the after-tax return is significantly lower than my alternatives and candidly sub-par. But again, this might not be the case for you depending on your tax situation. Additionally, if you invest in their higher tier, you have to receive a K-1, which makes tax prep more complicated and expensive. This is a double whammy for me when combined with the unqualified dividends. If given the option to only have the K-1 income I would take it and invest more in the platform, but unfortunately you don't have an option to allocate that way.

Matthew Barnett: Fundrise has been a great investment opportunity for me. A great opportunity to diversify your investments and be very hands off with real estate. My initial investment has grown just under three percent in less than a 4 month investing period. I have emailed the Fundrise team with questions more than once and they respond quickly with helpful information. The emails they send out updating you on what kind of projects you're invested in are insightful and interesting. I am not an experienced investor and have so far been very pleased with the experience that Fundrise offers.

Craig Buchanan: Fundrise is a great company. They are up front with their investment style and share everything with you through via email. It is a safe investment and increases slowly each day which you can track! It's a simple investment that's great for people who want to dip their toes in real estate investment. I would highly recommend everyone invest.

Kyle Smith: I have been an investor on the Fundrise platform for nearly 3 years. I have really enjoyed this alternative investment and have achieved returns that are definitely worth it. As with any alternative investment, liquidity is difficult (I have no yet tried it). The platform for investing is fantastic and easy to use...investor updates on properties are fund to read and feel like you're staying involved with the company.

Daniel Mohammadi: Let me start off by saying, real estate is a long term investment. I invested 5k and in a little under 3 years I got 6k back. My relatives got much better returns than I did, a few years ago tho. Took 3 months to get my money back, which is stated in their agreement but I didn't read. I think if you put your money in and try to get it back in less than 2 years it can be an issue. This is a reputable company but I would diversify a small portion to fundrise as it's not liquid enough for my liking. The site can be difficult to navigate, especially when you want your money back.. not rocket science but it could be simpler. Also i never was able to find a phone number to get a hold of anybody..Like the saying goes, it's my money and I want it now fundrise!! Make it easier.

Todd B: Everything about working with Fundrise has been great! Their website is easy to work with and very clean and crisp. Their communication about my investments are informative and clear. It is great to see where my money is being invested and what the plan and progress is on different investments. Most importantly my investment has been great so far. Glad I found them.

Bitraven: Asked for a couple of thousand bucks to fund the nuclear project I am running in my backyard, turned down my request and said they put me on some kind of no flight list or something. Overall, 0/5, would never recommend. Better off getting those funds from Russia or Iran anyway.

Guy Ben-Zeev: Hi peoples, i would not recommended this place. I’ve been here a couple of time and each time I have been disappointed by the service. The George Washington University: what do users think?

Quinn Peters: This university is ruled out as a possible location for my children to attend. As long as that fraud of a justice Clarence Thomas has a professorship here, I’ll never give this place a red cent and I’ll pray every day for it’s ultimate failure.

Dominick Withanachchi: Love the way its situated. If you like a university in a big city, this is one of the best.

SusanTerry Beverly: A lovely city campus. However there are signs of vandalism showing. Let's be cognizant of our surroundings at all times and put an end to this type of behavior immediately.

Ittipat Prapaprasert: Known as 'G-dub' or 'GW', this university has been a bedrock of Washington identity since its founding in 1821. Besides shaping much of the American political landscape, GW has shaped the capital itself, buying up town houses on such a scale that it is now the city's second-biggest landowner after the federal government.

bayazid ahamed: George Washington, the first President of the United States, advocated for the establishment of a national university in the U.S. capital in his first State of the Union address in 1790 and continued to promote this idea throughout his career and until his death.[8][9] In his will, Washington left shares in the Potomac Company to endow the university. However, due to the company's financial difficulties, funds were raised independently. On February 9, 1821, the university was established by an Act of Congress first as Columbian College and then as Columbian University, making it one of only five universities in the United States with a Congressional charter. The university's undergraduate and graduate schools includes the Columbian College of Arts and Sciences, the Elliott School of International Affairs, the GWU School of Business, the School of Media and Public Affairs, the Trachtenberg School of Public Policy and Public Administration, the GWU Law School and the Corcoran School of the Arts and Design. GWU's main Foggy Bottom campus is located in the heart of Washington, D.C., with the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank located on campus and the White House and the U.S. Department of State within blocks of campus. GWU hosts numerous research centers and institutes, including the National Security Archive and the Institute for International Economic Policy. GWU also has two satellite campuses: the Mount Vernon campus, located in D.C.'s Foxhall neighborhood, and the Virginia Science and Technology Campus in Loudoun County, Virginia. GWU is classified among "R1: Doctoral Universities – Very High Research Activity".The university offers degree programs in seventy-one disciplines, enrolling around 11,000 undergraduate and 15,500 graduate students. GWU is home to extensive student life programs, a strong Greek culture, and over 450 other student organizations. The school's athletic teams, the George Washington Colonials, play in the NCAA Division I Atlantic 10 Conference. GWU also annually hosts numerous political events, including the World Bank and International Monetary Fund's Annual Meetings.[14] The university's alumni, faculty, and affiliates include 16 foreign heads of state or government, 28 United States senators, 27 United States governors, 18 U.S. Cabinet members, five Nobel laureates, two Olympic medalists, two Academy Award winners, and a Golden Globe winner.GWU has over 1,100 active alumni in the U.S. Foreign Service and is one of the largest feeder schools for the diplomatic corps.

Garth Hedley: Amazing complex, beautiful buildings and friendly atmosphere.

Steven Zimmerman: an outstanding University for our son to obtain his Masters in Public Health

Anthony Scott: While the food was descent, the service was so so. Once the cashier finally paid attention to us and we were able to order, she was very friendly. But prior to taking our order, she continued to talk to another employee and chat about non work stuff and ignore customers. The sweet potato fries and grasshopper shake were very good.

frfrpr: Can't believe the University has not addressed the rat infestation problem. Scary

Taylor Fain: Very disappointed in their response to covid. Forcing students who have children to go back into classes of 150 people. Very irresponsible and not taking safety seriously.

Georgetown University: what do users think?

Alex Kolkena: For the record, I didn't go to school here, but I've only heard good things. From a tourist's perspective, there's plenty of neat architecture on campus. It's in one of the older sections of Washington DC, so definitely worth checking out.

Da-Wang Wu: I have several talented colleagues who graduated from Georgetown University, so I always want to visit this school. The campus is very beautiful, especially with the fall foliage. It’s a nice half-day trip to visit the university, the shopping area (mainly on M Street), the canal and the waterfront park.

Danny L: Must place to visit if you are visiting DC. Lots of things to do around the university. Great place for photography and sightseeing. Plenty of Restaurants around that area. You would love it.

David Gilbank: I fulfilled a lifelong ambition when I came to Georgetown to see where The Exorcist was filmed. I particularly wanted to throw my self down the stairs that featured in the finale. Obviously that could cause terrible damage, so I through a soft toy down instead. See photos. Its a brilliant beautiful neighbourhood. Well worth a visit.

Mj Dillenburg: Great graduation ceremonies! Except for the 95 degree heat and humidity....it was beautiful.

Adnana K: I've had my last two kids here. They met all my needs in that time. Both C-sections were done perfectly. Two and a half days hospital stay. Recovery was very successfull. Staff was very friendly and professional. I highly recommend this hospital.

Russ Watts: Excellent university, superb perspective on the political realm, mindful about the Jesuit values.

Enric Piferrer Torres: We stopped for a quick walk around the university buildings, and it was worth it! It reminded me of Harry Potter somehow. Beautiful main building. We parked outside for free in a 2 hour parking (no meter). The neighborhood is beautiful too

Justin Ahearn: So charming and beautiful. Feel like I’m going to get culture of Washington DC and the people that I meet are great

lilian gonzalez: I do not come to school here but it's a must place to visit and see in person!!! The buildings are so beautiful and massive. It's breathtaking. The surrending place to grab food is amazing and you can bring it back and either sit in the rocking chairs or picnic tables they have or bring a blanket and lay under a tree and relax!! It's so nice!!

JBAB Main Exchange: what do users think?

Diane Evans: I have been searching for a reasonably priced ironing board. When did the price of a ironing board reach $50.00. I said not today! However, when I went to this Exchange I founded a very reasonably priced ironing board and I ran to the check out counter to make sure the price was right; guess what, it was! 😀 All I can say, the Exchange have it going on. Btw, the staff was friendly and the Exchange was clean and not too busy. They may not have a very large selection of merchandise, but I'm sure you can find something you like, something you need, or even something you want. Check them out for yourself!

Alisha Lynch: Your typical military exchange. Clean store, friendly staff and decent selection. They don’t carry Apple products though so that was a disappointment since we went in there looking for an Apple TV. Food court right outside the entrance to shopping as well as a jewelry store, barber, and restrooms.

Michelle Durham: PX is nice - food court is ok but not very convient in hours. They actually close at 5 pm.

    T. Gafford: Relatively small exchange when compared to other base exchanges.

Drew Rausch 27: Really inconvenient hours, not properly reflected on Google. Closed all day on Sunday.

kj17: Great people that understands customer service, great price but the place is too small and not a lot of variety (i.e., size, color, etc…)

Jeannetta Evans: Found some very comfortable pajamas for my Mom, Sister and daughter 😊

terraingirl: It’s Here. Not much to it. It has a good shopping selection, but the lines tend to be a little long. It was a good pick up spot for online orders. Unfortunately this base now require you to remove your mask for identification. The guards mask are thin and you can see everything. I’m good on this place.

Walgreens LLC INC CORP: They didn't have items for Army dress blue uniforms. 😔😶 😟☹️🙁😕

bhc1973: Not a great PX unfortunately. It's old, worn, has limited selection, and not a lot of employees. Sad. The PX at Ft. Myer is better, and if you can manage to make it out to Ft. Belvoir, that one is mind blowing. The JBAB PX is fine in a pinch, but not compared to other stores in the NCR.

Cozymeal Cooking Classes: what do users think?

Valerie Damond: Last night twelve members of my family experienced a truly remarkable Spanish dinner. Chef Greg presented us with a very relaxing and utterly delicious meal. Every course was beautifully displayed and clearly constructed with the best ingredients. He and his helper served us and left the kitchen immaculate. If you would like to experience an expertly crafted Spanish cuisine, I highly recommend Chef Greg.

D H: I had my Cozymeal event today. I have never participated in an online cooking class before, and I must say it was great! My daughter and I took the class making the Chinese dumplings with Chef Li. Chef Li was great and while making the recipes really gave good information on the Chinese culture and the different types of substitutions to use in the event you are not able to get a specific ingredient. She made suggestions regarding kitchen utensils and made sure that all of us were on track with her during her instruction. My only difficulty was with the recipes being in grams and not in US measurements. It would be nice to have both listed. I live in a very rural area and this option of online cooking classes is such a welcome experience. I would definitely take another class!!

Benjamin Bowden: Really enjoyed having Chef Tiffany cook for my girlfriend and me. Great food, great conversation, and a generally excellent evening. One note: she arrived 45 minutes prior to the scheduled arrival time, when nobody was home. Her early arrival was a positive, as the meal took a few hours to prepare, but Cozymeal should communicate better with the clients about true arrival time. Bottom line: Tiffany provided an excellent French meal, all cooked from scratch, with fresh ingredients. Moreover, there were leftovers! Really looking forward to my next Cozymeal experience.

Alison Ponzi: We had an evening full of freshly made pasta, bruschetta, and bread pudding with Chef Tiffany. I bought a KitchenAid mixer last year with the pasta attachment, and she was open to teaching me how to use it. She also worked with us on our likes/dislikes allowing us to choose a different appetizer. All in all it was a successful night with great food, company, and conversation.

Grace Morrissey: I loved the class. Chef Li's technique was easy to understand. I just need to practice more. I am making the dumplings again this week. They were delicious. The cabbage salad won a big spot in my heart..., I will make it often. Looking forward to do another class with Chef Li

Steven Sacks: Positive: Communication, Professionalism, Quality, ValueMy girlfriend and I took the Festival of Indian Flavor with Chef Manjiri. It was such a wonderful experience - she clearly explained the agenda for the class, told us about herself, explained all the ingredients, and then helped us through all four recipes with both laughter and fun. What a great time!

Theano Kampani: Really enjoyed having Chef Greg cook for my husband and me. Great food, and great conversation! We highly recommend Chef Greg and his Spanish dishes. The star of the menu was the dessert for us :)

Kathleen Norwood: This was a wonderful experience. Chef Gustavo was a delightful host and instructor He shared knife and preparation tips as well as the history of the food. The food was muy rico and we came away with many tips to make prep easier and food tastier for making a yummy paella as well as other dishes. Chef Gustavo created a welcoming, warm and relaxed evening. Thank you, Chef Gutavo!

Jeanne Liu: We took the Festival of Indian Flavors class with Chef Manjiri and it was wonderful! She explained everything and her recipe was fast and not intimidating. What we made was so delicious and I can't wait to try out one of her other classes. Do not hesitate to book one of Chef Manjiri's classes!

Niki Holmes: We had an amazing experience with Chef Judith. Her recipes were easy; we had great company; and the Chef taught us some very useful techniques. --Plus--The food tasted so delicious!

Navy Exchange Main: what do users think?

Cheyanne Hoggan: Visited this NEX location earlier this week to purchase uniforms, had an amazing experience with the workers at the uniform section and had schedule to come back to pick up the tailored uniform. We tried calling the phone system, it still states the store is open during normal operating hours… There is NO information update on the store being closed as there is no person answering the phone calls. The uniform department has written down our contact information on the tailor ticket and has failed to contact us about this issue. We drove an hour to come to this store to pick up the uniform to be poorly welcomed by a closed sign along with lack of information on when store will reopen. Good workers. Failure of management.

rodger smith: Only place to park on this base. The parking structure seems sketchy though. It rained and the place flooded. There are only two restaurants in the "food court" both Asian. The design of this next is strange and the layout not super helpful. There are loose stairs in the exterior stairwell. Surprisingly did not find much children's stuff in stock.

Steve Hood: Admiral Bianchi and the NEX say they care about the Sailors and families. However, I have never been so disappointed in a place and leadership. Every year it is an excuse and I’m more than willing to stand up for other and the staff. Every year the Air Conditioning never works. Every year it’s an excuse. I’ve seen older people pass out because of the heat and staff members sweating trying to help us. I went In yesterday and once again the A/C was broken. I went to Uniforms and the one staff member who I have worked with for years and Is one of the best I’ve dealt with was just sweating and looking miserable. This is unacceptable and I hold Admiral Bianchi and the higher ups at headquarters responsible. I have lost all faith in this leadership. You do not have this problem every year if leadership is good. This is unacceptable and this place should be closed until it is fixed. Not a way to treat your customers or your staff. I will be talking with the base about this today.

Constance313: Great place to explore and purchase great beers, wines and spirits from all over the globe. The staff is very knowledgeable and the selection is pretty good. Every Saturday The Wine Chick is there from 12:00pm to 3:00pm for wine tastings in the NEX package store. Every week she sample some of the best wines from all around the world. They also host meet the wine maker or vineyard owner events too!

Jimmie Robinson: The store is awesome. The one and only cashier with an attitude was not. She was so inconvenienced by our wanting to check out. Gave us attitude the whole time. Ended up not buying our stuff and left. Not ever coming back. Better to go to belvoir.

Mar Ortiz: I have been coming here for years but today was the time that I have to speak. I was buying a set of pots and pans, there was an additional discount on house things. I asked for the discount and the cashier was very very rude. The worst part is that she called her manager and the manager was worst, very rude, inconsiderate and disrespectful. I would say that It is so sad that you treat your customers that way. I am very disappointed of the customer service here. This is not the first time that this has happened but today, seriously, was the worst. Treating people with respect is the least you should give to your customers. Very disappointed, very sad to see people, specially in this season so but so in considerate. The manager should be just fired. I felt like he was scolding me, all customers there were looking, I felt really bad.

Janelle Gaughan: I have shopped at this NEX for 40 years. Yesterday, I was denied the purchase of items. It seems the cashier was unaware that my military i.d., which was sufficient to get me onto the base to begin with, was had not yet expired. Originally set to January 31,2021, she was unaware that retirees dependents had until January 31, 2022 to renew. When I further advised her that I have an appt. next week, she barked at me "you had two years to renew this!" and stomped off in a huff to consult someone else. In a few minutes, she came back and stonily informed me I could not make purchases with an expired i.d. I was so shocked and dismayed by her disrespect and lack of customer service, that I simply walked away and left without pursuing this further. I found one of the items I had planned to purchase on line, on sale, and paid $15.00 less than I would have at NEX. I regret that I was so stunned I failed to ask her name in order to register a formal complaint. I do not intend to ever shop there again.

G D: The NEX barbershop’s beauty salon hours indicates closing at 7:00 pm. I arrive at 4:00 pm for a walk-in and the one person in the salon says she’s closing in 15 minutes. What?????? I wasted time and gas to just be told they’re closing.

Terry Schooler: Slowest cashiers in the world. The package store does great, but regular checkout - pack a lunch because you aren’t leaving anytime soon.

Frank Mikolajczak: Great PX, much better than Quantico, Ft. Belvoir. Lots of great deals to be found and they Cary some nice premium merchandise like Henderson Hall.

American University: what do users think?

Praveen Sriram: Stayed here in the summer of 2005 for my internship in Washington DC and the experience was absolutely fabulous with the dining halls and the gym being my favorites. No complaints at all and excellent customer service from the residence hall staff. I sometimes wish I studied Accounting at this university than at the one I studied at. Great school and great residence halls. Highly recommend! A+

cat wu: It's an average college, no particular major that's really standout around the country or the world. Courses are not that challenged compare to some other higher ranking schools and that probably explains why graduates don't get the best careers, you get what you work for. One thing should be mentioned is that dorms have a lot of rats.

洪銘勳: I have received my master of law degree (international legal studies) from the Washington College of Law of this school. It’s a very internationalized and excellent university. I really miss it.

Santiago Tovar: My friend is away at a summer camp and given the precarious infrastructure of your so called "university" has no wifi. He is unable to communicate with friends and family. This is outrageous, its unfair. Please fix this ASAP.

Adam Cox: Graduated school here in 2005. Students are very engaged and staff friendly. Great place to study.

Gabrielle Thompson: Jacksfilms is a notable alum, and yet, I do not see his name. Therefore, I will not spend my valuable time or money on this university!

Sarah Ashworth: Loved my years at American!! Great diversity and learning community!

Igor Dorokhine: Priced at the level of Ivy League University but return is not at that level at all. BEWARE!

t Whittington: Great university. Amazing area. Amazing people.

TechCarsAnd EverythingElse: Mediocre University in DC. Georgetown is a better university.
