Dr. Nicole V. Lang, MD: what do users think?

berri berri: I have the greatest of confidence in Dr. Lang. My daughter just turned 21 years old. Dr. Lang has been her pediatrician all of her life. Dr. Lang gives one on one care. You may have to wait awhile. But in today's health profession, the wait is standard across the board, here in the DC area. It is clearly evident, that the people that complain are not DC natives. They must be from some remote farm area where the population is 1000. For others to post such negative comments on a medical professional of her excellent caliber, clearly need to be evaluated themselves for their mental heath.

miriam sewell: Dr. Lang is a great, small practice pediatrician in DC. She is very knowledgeable, accommodating and understanding and Beth, her PA is equally so. Definitely would recommend if you live in DC and are looking for a pediatrician for your child.

Oli Savi: Dr. Lang has an unacceptable attitude to her little clientele. She might keep you waiting up to 2 hours, and it does not matter how sick your child is. It's faster and more efficient to go to ER. She never returns your calls - it's impossible to personally talk to her over the phone - she is obviously above such trivia. She does not seem to bother about possible allergies her use of an air freshener spray in hall and exam rooms may cause. Her treatment is mainly limited to a prescription of antibiotics. For a simple advice on the child's sleep routine, she directs you to a pediatric psychologist without any hesitation. We've had other pediatricians prior her, and know what a dedicated doctor is. Dr. Lang is not the one.

LaJuan Campbell: My son has been going to Dr. Lang for 15 years. In fact, she has been his doctor from the second he left the womb. He was 2 months premature and developed a blood infection. Dr. Lang stayed in the hospital all night the first few nights to make sure the hospital doctors were doing their jobs. And she has been great ever since. She is knowledge in her profession and Dom loves her! He told her on his last visit that when he aged out of pediatrics that she needed to move into regular general medicine because he couldn't imagine having any other doctor. He is at an age now where I do not go in the room with him during his examine and you can't imagine how good it feels to have a doctor that I TRUST in the room alone with my child during a very critical and vulnerable time like a check up.

Nicole Erikson: Parents beware. I visited dr Lang before my son was born because I needed a new pediatrician as my previous pediatrician was no longer in practice. I asked her a number of questions and she seemed pleasant enough. Do not be fooled! Her practice is a mess. After a less than a year of bringing two children under 3 to her I have had more bad experiences than I care to remember. Most of them were minor annoyances so I let them go as a bad day or a just a hiccup, but over the year I'd consistent poor performance I am changing doctors again. The only saving grace of the practice is the nurse practitioner Beth. She is wonderful and my daughter loves her. I believe there has been 3 different office managers since we've started going there last June. Whenever I call I get an answering service and often have to call back multiple times in order to connect with a person in the office. Dr Lang herself has terrible manner with me and with my children. I often schedule my appointments in the morning due to nap schedules. On three occasions I arrived about 5-10 minutes prior to my appointment time and the office was locked and no one was there. The last visit I waited 35 minutes past my appointment time before dr Lang showed up and when she arrived and I told her that I was about to leave because I didn't know if she was coming she actually yelled at me... you read it right, she yelled at me. In front of my two young children she was slamming her bags around and yelling about things that were going on in her personal life. I was shocked and a bit shaken. I would have left immediately but since she does not carry vaccinations in her office and I had just paid over $400 out of pocket for my children's vaccines from the pharmacy, I was stuck there. It was a terrible experience. I hoped she was just having a bad day and I tried again. Today was the final straw. She was late again - and we were stuck outside her office with $300 worth of vaccines. When she did arrive she did not even apologize, but rather she reprimanded my daughter for eating Cheerios in the exam room (my daughter is 3 and we had been waiting for almost 30 minutes). I am a pretty flexible person and I can completely understand that we all have good and bad days. An apology goes a long way to making things better. All this being said - I wish Dr Lang no ill will and I hope that whatever is going on in her personal life that is effecting her ability be a good doctor is resolved, however, I would warn any parent thinking of going to her to be aware that the experience and well being of you and your children are not currently her first priority.

E TRACEY WILLIS: Dr. Lang has been my daughter's pediatrician for 16 years. I would not trade her for nothing in the world. She is caring and amazing!!!

Chevy Chase Pediatrics Center: what do users think?

Melinda Carlson-Scott: I cannot say enough about Howard Bennett, M.D. He is an incredible pediatrician with knowledge beyond any medical professional I've dealt with over the past few decades. He has recommended excellent specialists for my children and is never hesitant to admit when something is beyond his scope of knowledge. He handles difficult situations with professionalism, grace and (appropriate) humor. Our family is very fortunate to have his care.

Adreka Archie: This practice is awesome! When I had my daughter I had only been in the area for a short time, and didn’t know many people who could refer me to a good pediatrician. Thanks to google and reviews I chose this office with no regrets! Dr Ahlstrom is my regular pediatrician, but I’ve seen some of the other doctors if she was out on the day I needed to come in. All of them have different styles and personalities but they are all wonderful. I’ve never felt rushed and always feel that they are attentive to my baby girl’s needs. I love that I can call Dr. Ahlstrom personally and she knows me, my husband, and my daughter by name. Everyone from the front desk clerks to the nurses are very nice.

Peter H.: Dr. Bennett is frank, efficient, and honest, without being unsympathetic, short, or high-handed. Worth driving across town for!

Ahmed Ali: Best pediatric doctor you will ever go to

Washington International Pediatrics, LLC: what do users think?

Tiara Vadiee: We’ve had excellent experiences with Dr Kubir, Dr Sabine and the other staff. They can generally see us within a day, give thorough exams and develop agreeable plans. Everyone I’ve interacted with has been friendly, warm and helpful.

Nima Vadiee: The most thorough, caring and wonderful doctor I’ve ever met. Front staff, nurses and everyone else in the office.. all of them are gems.

marilu bustamante: Dr. Sabine is a very nice and thorough doctor. Her staff of the other hand are awful and incompetent. My kids were part of Dr. Sabine's practice for over a year. This summer my child had a medical emergency for which the urgent care doctors adviced me to schedule a follow-up with our pediatrician. I called on a Tuesday to schedule a follow-up sometime at the end of the week, and the administrative staff refused to give me an appointment stating that the doctor "was just so busy". That experience was the straw that broke the camel's back, and we decided to switch doctor's office. After we switched, I received a call from Dr. Sabine's staff stating that they had my child's medical records and I could come pick them up, of else they would "throw them in the trash" the following week. As I said, Dr. Sabine is very nice, thorough and caring doctor. Her staff, however, is extremely rude and unprofessional.

Anna Vice: Dr. Sabine and her staff are incredible. There has never been a long wait or any difficulty scheduling appointments. They are efficient, welcoming, and helpful. Can’t imagine dealing with any other group of people throughout the stressful first week of our first child’s life. They are absolutely amazing.

Christina Young: Dr. Sabine is the best pediatrician any parent could ask for their child and we highly recommend her. She has been our son's pediatrician nearly five years now starting from the time he was born. Every shot, every wellness visit, every question and milestone along the way, she's been patient, kind, knowledgeable, and understanding. If you're looking for a pediatrician, look no further!

Andi H: Our children are so happy with her and so are we. I highly recommend her and would never consider switching. Dr. Sabine isn't our first pediatrician since we've moved a few times, but hopefully we can stay until our kids grow up.

Melanie Nefzger: Dr. Sabine and her staff always show immediate attention to any of our children’s needs. She is responsive and genuinely cares as she even follows up “off hours”. She’s answered every neurotic question I have ever had patiently. The office is clean and lovely while safely maintaining covid protocols.

Lena Joehnk: We are very happy with Washington International Pediatrics. Dr. Sabine is a very experienced and thoughtful pediatrician who treats our children always with a lot of attention to details, explaining very well everything. When our daughter was very ill, she kept track of everything and even came to visit at the hospital twice. She is very responsive and we were always able to get an appointment the same day if needed. Her office is brand new and very clean with great toys for kids. We could not think of a better pediatrician.

Ramona Pauna: Great place to take your kids if you need a caring, competent, attentive and wonderful doctor! As a parent, I'm always relieved to be listened to and advised properly by dr Sabine! My three kids love her and when we take a trip to see her, there is always excitement and never an ounce of stress! I highly recommend Dr Sabine de la Croix-Vaubois and her practice ! Cherry on the cake, her practice is in the heart of Bethesda and highly accessible! Enjoy!

Jose Luis Marin Franco: Excellent medical team, we feel well cared for during our daughter's consultation, we are really satisfied.

Spring Valley Pediatrics: what do users think?

Sarah Gross: Review related to WORKING at Spring Valley Pediatrics: I can’t say enough good things about working as a nurse at Spring Valley Pediatrics! I started there within one year of graduating nursing school, and parted ways with the practice seven years later only because I had graduated as a nurse practitioner. The way the office is set up, each nurse works mainly with one or two physicians, and most patients have a specific doctor that is “their” doctor (though they can see others if needed or desired). As a result, I got to really know my doctor’s patients and families by seeing them at each visit and answering their triage calls. The close relationships with the patients and their families were so rewarding and one of my favorite parts of the job. I think this set-up is a key factor in why Spring Valley Pediatrics has such a great reputation and high quality of care...they really know their patients! I also enjoyed the many learning opportunities while working there, from asking questions to the doctors or the in-office lab technicians, to the wonderful head nurse Jennifer who has truly seen it all and helped me feel comfortable in a variety of pediatric primary care nursing skills, to the various lunch presentations on the newest medical advances and treatment, there was never a dull moment! The workplace culture is amazing, everyone is so supportive and helpful, and birthday and holiday celebrations abound. It’s not every day you find a job you love so much that you look forward to going to work each day, but that’s what Spring Valley Pediatrics gave me. I hope it can be this place for you too.

Brian Graf: We spoke on the phone to a number of different pediatricians before our son was born (COVID-19 prevented us from going in person). Spring Valley was by far the best. We had a lot of questions about billing because they don't take insurance, but they returned emails quickly and even followed up with a phone call to make sure we understood everything. Despite this we initially decided to go with a different pediatrician due to the cost. After our baby was born he spent one night in the NICU and upon bringing him home we needed to see a doctor within 24 hours. We called our chosen pediatrician and told them the situation, but they couldn't see us within that initial 24 hour period, and didn't seem to make much of an effort to help out. We called Spring Valley and they saw us within 2 hours. There was no dealing with automated system when we called, either. A real person answered and the whole process was very fast and easy. That experience alone convinced us that the extra cost was worth it. Since then everyone has been very understanding, accommodating, and extremely nice. They remember us when we walk in the door and we feel like everyone from the front desk staff to the doctors genuinely care about us and our baby. I don't think that we would receive the same kind of personalized care if we had gone with a different doctor, which for us only reinforces our decision to go with Spring Valley. We feel like part of a community, and Dr. Warfield is very reassuring and encouraging. We highly recommend them!

Kathrine Thoen: Wonderful doctors, nurses and staff! Great, clean and inviting space for the kids. We called in when our newborn daughter was ill and the paed on call that night took a listen and adviced us to go directly to the NICU at Childrens. A super impressive, quick and proactive decision as she was diagnosed with RSV, needed urgent care and was in the NICU for 2,5 weeks. We are allways seen quickly if there is an immediate illness and couldnt be happier with the Spring Valley team. Our kids are in the safest hands! Thank you!

Kathleen Flynn Millard: All the providers @ SVP are exceptional! Dr Long helped us when my son fell and needed stitches. She replied on her day off & provided excellent care. My friends see Dr VanVleck and Moss they rave about them all

Washington Pediatric Associates, P.C.: what do users think?

Danielle Byrd Thompson: I have been extremely happy with Dr. Lang and the entire staff. There is a class offered for new parents which is very helpful to know what to expect in the many pediatrics visits that follow the baby's birth. The office works with an amazing lactation consultant that helped me immensely. Dr. Lang is compassionate and genuinely cares about her patients. I'm so happy with the amazing care and service that my children have received under her. Even when call about a question after hours she gets back with us so promptly. I wish I could give Washington Pediatric Associates 10 stars.

Karen Feret: We love Dr. Lang, she has been wonderful for our family: two year old and newborn. We have been seeing her for two years. Highly recommended!!

Sheila Chandler: Dr. Lang came highly recommended by my primary Dr. at GWH 17 years ago and our experience has been a loving and caring journey. The total holistic approach is one that we appreciate and looked for. Time and care what you will receive when you visit the office. We so cherish the books our son received upon his first early years as part of the literacy program promoted through Washington Pediatric Associates. Our good fortune is that we still have 4 more wonderful years ahead of us.

Hibba Shakir: Dr. Lang and Dr. Beth are very attentive, caring and knowledgeable. They take the time to listen to your concerns/questions and explain everything thoroughly. Hannah at the front desk is also very helpful and kind with the kids. I would highly recommend the practice to other parents.

Brad Henson: I have been so impressed and happy with Dr. Lang and the whole team at Washington Pediatric Associates from the first time I called them. They really care about the work they are doing and it shows.

noemy urquilla: This People have false information on their website. I called trying to schedule an appt, and the receptionist said their not accepting new patients with state insurance. why the hell you guys don't update your stupid website. YOU GUYS ARE NOT PROFFECIONAL.

Addison Day: This facility refused service to my baby daughter because “she was not well.” Apparently the child must not be sick in order to be accepted as a new patient.

Dr. Nathaniel B. Beers, MD: what do users think?

Greg Masucci: Dr. Beers, in his role as Chief of Special Education for DC Public Schools, refused to meet with our 5 year old autistic son Max and my wife and I. This is despite the fact that the policies and course of action prescribed for our son by both his office and DCPS have repeatedly, not only failed to educate our son, but even keep him safe (they've already physically LOST him THREE times in two years). One must ask themselves if they want to use a pediatrician who offers/approves a "diagnosis" without ever seeing the patient and, despite it's obvious and abundant failings, sticks to said prescribed course of action. In our opinion, and most anyone that hears our story concurs, it is simply inexcusable! Send Dr. Beers and DCPS a message - Don't use him! For more info go to wwwDOTfacebookDOTcom/SetMaxFreeDCPS

Foxhall Pediatrics: what do users think?

Tara Cuevas: Dr. Daniel and Dr. Sweeney are amazing. They have been super supportive to us as new parents and very helpful as we navigate food allergies with our newborn. This practice goes above and beyond to provide excellent care - including weekend appointments when needed.

Eleanor Christensen: Went here as a child, probably one of the best choices my parents made. I was sick often as a kid and the doctors here figured out what was wrong quicker than any other doctors I've seen as an adult. I trusted them with my health wholeheartedly while I was there and my life growing up would have been much worse without the team there. Only issue is I now go into every appointment with a new doctor thinking they're on the same level and am disappointed when they aren't. Highly recommend

Stacey Heyman: We have been bringing our son to see Dr. Daniel since he was born and absolutely love her and the entire Foxhall Pediatrics team! Dr. Daniel is always thorough, kind, and engaging with our infant son and us. They are taking every COVID-19 precaution and we have felt very safe taking him for his regular well visits and immunizations. We have also utilized e-visits for consultations about concerns in between his regular check-ups and they have been just as thorough but even more convenient. The nurses and office staff are always so kind and friendly, they put us all at ease and make scheduling a breeze. Thank you for all of your care, Dr. Daniel and the Foxhall Pediatrics team!

Kaelynn Koch: Dr. Sweeney and Dr. Daniel have been amazing with our newborn. They and their staff have been incredibly helpful and compassionate in this challenging time.

Claudia Gibbs Howard: Absolutely LOVE Foxhall Pediatrics. We moved here recently and have tried other pediatricians and weren’t very happy. Our child needed a sick visit and I got him in immediately and Dr. Daniel was amazing!

carolyn nordberg: Doctors Sweeney and Daniel are talented and kind. My children are in wonderful care at Foxhall Pediatric.

Lily Elisabeth: They are great all around- conscientious and helpful and reasonable with great explanations of recommendations and concerns

Pullman & Associates Pediatrics: what do users think?

Ben Snow: Dr. Pullman and nurse Asha have been a blessing. My children have always received excellent care. Dr. Pullman is extremely knowledgeable and applies very practical recommendations to help with development.
Response: Thank you, Mr Snow for your kind words. It is my pleasure caring for your kids.

Ann Roddy: This is an outstanding practice led by Dr. Amy Pullman. Our 3 kids, ages 19 and 16 (twins) have been going to see Dr Pullman and her caring and talented staff since 2002. Dr. Pullman is warm and personable and professional. She also has a good ability to explain medical things in lay person's terms so that the parent or child can have a clear understanding of whatever the health issue is. Dr Pullman and her staff are always responsive to calls after hours and to attending to paperwork for school and camp. If you are looking for a pediatric practice for your child, look no further.

Elizabeth Loeb Henry Docter: Dr. Pullman has been our pediatrician since our children were born. We've always received fabulous care and attention, particularly in challenging situations. For example, we took one of our kids to a very prominent ENT for a diagnosis and then reported it back to Dr. Pullman. She immediately said the diagnosis was wrong and insisted on an MRI. The MRI confirmed that Dr. Pullman was right and the ENT was dead wrong. We cannot imagine better or more thorough care from her or her competent and caring staff. Even now that our kids are 19 and 21 Dr. Pullman still responds quickly when needed. When we talk with her we can tell she really has gotten to know our kids, their personalities, likes and dislikes. Our kids really like and trust her. We will all be very sad when they age out and have to find a doctor for adults.

bonnie roskes: Dr Pullman has been taking care of my 5 kids since they were all babies. Our visits are thorough, and her advice is always sound and well thought out. We've never had long waits, either in the waiting room before a checkup or for a call-back at home. Requests for forms are always executed quickly. We usually see Asha as well, who has a great bedside manner. We'll continue here until our youngest age out.

O.K RabRos: Dr. Pullman is excellent! She is extremely knowledgeable and takes the time to fully answer parents' questions. She is experienced and knows the best specialists to recommend if your little one needs one. She has cared for my children for 6 years so far. My kids also really like her nurse Asha and the NP Erin. I recommend Dr. Pullman completely.

NG Margie: Dr Pullman has been our doctor since my oldest was born more than 16 yrs ago. I interviewed multiple pediatricians and chose Dr Pullman because of her calm and reasoned approach and thoughtful and thorough answers to my questions as a first-time, pregnant mom, and I continue to appreciate her knowledgeable, personable, and thoughtful care of my family, and her support through some significant health issues. I also love Erin and Asha! They are also knowledgeable, calm, and caring. No one wants to have to go to the doctor, but the staff at Pullman and Associates makes the experience as good as it could possibly be. I also appreciate the practice’s responsiveness, with same-day calls back to answer questions and emergency appointments when needed. While at times over the past 16 years there have been instances when we experienced long wait times for appointments, in the past few years I’ve been really impressed with the efficiency of the office and the lack of significant wait times. I also appreciate how they now automatically ask me if we need forms filled out for school.

Tamar Khachaturian: Dr. Pullman is the best pediatrician. She has taken care excellent care of both of our children since birth - as has her fantastic team, including Asha and Erin. She is always extremely thorough and her knowledge and experience are unsurpassed. She and the rest of the team take time to address our concerns and to get to know our family - we feel extremely fortunate to receive the level of care we do from Dr. Pullman and her team.

Franklin Weiss: Dr. Pullman has our highest praise. She is smart, thoughtful and thorough. Anyone looking for a pediatrician would be extremely fortunate to end up in her hands. Really the best.

britt macko: Dr Pullman is fantastic. She has taken care of our son since birth. She is extremely thorough and responsive. We’ve received a high quality of timely care and appreciate the early morning walk-in hours for when our son is sick.

J Watanabe: We have had an an excellent experience with Dr. Pullman, Asha, and Erin. Dr. Pullman has given both my baby and toddler the best of care. She is extremely attentive, takes the time to answer questions, and remembers all the details about our children from visit to visit despite having many other patients. My first child had some health issues that several pediatricians and specialists misdiagnosed. Many of our friends who are doctors told us to see Dr. Pullman for another opinion. Dr. Pullman quickly identified the correct issue and got him into the top specialist within about a week and he was quickly treated and is fine now. Erin and Asha are also great and my children love them. In my experience it's rare that a child wants to go to the doctor but my son has had such a great experience with the practice that he often asks about Dr. Pullman and he gets into the car with a smile when I tell him we're going to an appointment there. I feel extremely lucky to have found Dr. Pullman.
Response: Dear Watanabe Family Thank you for your kind words I am so happy I was able to help

Capitol Medical Group: what do users think?

Yolanda Peay: Excellent practice we have been with for the past 6.5 years. We have always had prompt resolution of concerns and easy scheduling. We have liked all the providers that we have seen, and like that you can schedule with provider of choice for most appointments made in advance. Sick clinic in the morning is so helpful with small school aged children. Also, during COVID they were great in adapting the practice to keep everyone safe. They are just a great group of providers and staff that have little turn over in staff. We see the same faces we saw from our new born visits.

Kyle Torgrimson: Our family has been using CMG Pediatrics for about three years. They have good doctors, a patient portal, flexible options like virtual, before school walk-in, drive-through flu shots, and drive-up covid tests. They have a great weekly Covid newsletter too. The front desk has always been polite and professional too. We have been very pleased.

Jennifer Vega Garcia: I'm a first time mom and finding a good pediatric office for my son was so important and I'm glad I chose capital medical group staff is very friendly scheduling is so easy and the doctors are amazing dr.Sandhu was amazing so sad he left but every doctor is great here they really care about their patients multiple calls to see how my son was after surgery. Thank you for what you do

S Z: I only have a recommendation for the manager. Please do your business a favour and hold a few etiquette training classes for your staff! In some incidents I noticed that some of the staffs are very unprofessional (not all). They have not been trained how to treat the patients or behave professionally. I have never seen a medical staff slams the door on patients face until I visited Capitol Medical Group!

P I: I adore the doctors here, but we'll be leaving the practice for one simple reason - it's extremely difficult to get through on the phone.

Jeff Relyea: Too large and too impersonal rotation of pediatricians. My wife and I decided to leave Capital Medical Group due to: - Appointment being bumped - Then added difficulty contacting receptionists for 2 hours to schedule urgent appt recommended by doctor - Not being seen until two days later - Not being able to see the same doctor but rather seeing a rotation of doctors - Urgency and alarmism in routine health checks that aren't met with the same urgency in their follow-ups - Insensitive and impersonal approach overemphasizing low likelihood risks that made my wife cry on the way home from our first appointment This practice appears overbooked and cannot provide adequate attention and care to our daughter with a rotation of doctors. The health of our daughter was at increased risk because we could not be seen for what we were told was an important 7 day checkup. Issues were reported two days later that could have been avoided more proactively if we had been seen two days prior. With newborns one or two days can make all the difference.

R Comolli: I have tried for three weeks now to contact this place for a well visit for my son and I they are not answering the phones. I have spent between 10 to 25 minutes on hold waiting. I also sent an email to the only address I found and no luck. I did get to talk to someone the first attempt and they said they would call me back but no luck. O guess I will have to find a new pediatric office. Unfortunate really.

Rizwan Kirmani: This practice has some stellar pediatricians, however the management has gone run this practice in to the ground. Maki d a annual appointment for my 7 year old was a nightmare. I called 4 times at various times same day and gave up after being on hold for 25 minutes every time. The front desk staff doesn’t seem to know what they are doing. Impossible to make online appointments on the website or their mobile app. The entire practice management is severely broken. I have been going to this practice since 2012 when Dr. Jones was the practice leader. It is heartbreaking to see such a great practice run in to the ground due management and front desk staff’s incompetence. Dr. Jones must be turning in his grave to see his practice destroyed ninkapoots.

Elisabeth Layton: I couldn't be happier with the care my children have received at Capitol Medical Group over the course of more than 16 years. Although it is a large practice, it is extremely well-managed and well-run and these doctors and staff provide not only excellent care but also outstanding caring and have seen us through everything from teething and colic to the pandemic and the various health issues -- both emergency and longer-term -- that have arisen over the years. Dr. Nancy Kadowitz has been our go-to pediatrician throughout our time at CMG and we couldn't be happier with the care and guidance she has provided. The other doctors in the practice that we have seen have also been excellent but it is also great that within a large practice we have been able to have one main doctor who knows our children well.

Xaxa Ivanovna: We have been going to CMG for 5 years now. I am usually not a big fan of big practices because there is no personal touch, but CMG is an exception to that. We usually see Suzannah, she is awesome, we love her, but we have seen other doctors for emergency visits as well and everyone is great. They also have been doing a good job right when pandemic started, it was really impressive. They reacted quickly and changed the process of making appointments, virtual and in-office visits, everything is streamlined. Of course, hiccups happened throughout 5 years (like they forgot to mark us in the computer once after we checked-in at the reception and we had to wait for like 30-35 minutes till they realized - stuff like that happened, we all are humans), i don't believe they are that big of a deal. I also love the fact that there have been no surprise bills or tests sent to out-of-network lab - these things happen all the time at other doctors' offices. If something is not usually paid by insurance they let you know ahead of time.

Dr. Reva E. Snow, MD: what do users think?

Rebeca Rojas: The waiting time to get to see Dr Marcovick is ridiculous— what’s the point of having appointments if there is no respect of others times? My child and i have been waiting for 53 min — when we asked the nurse about the doctor, they kept saying “doctor will be with you in a min” ...it’s been 53 mins and we have no sings of the doctor 😠

Lynn Amano: We have seen two doctors, both very good. Primary is Dr. Snow.

Claire Sanders Swift: Every doctor is good. Visits are efficient, on-time with helpful results.

Pediatric Specialists of Virginia: what do users think?

Susan Varghese: The doctor was good, though we had to wait close to half an hour. Be careful of the parking here!! Most just park in the 3020 parking in a hurry to get to the appointment, but three cars-including mine, were towed in the span of 20-30 minutes. You then pay $150 to get the car back. Sad thing for patients coming from far, to see after their appointment their car is missing!!

Girgis Rezk: They are horrid in trying to get anyone to speak with you or contact you. I’ve had to leave several vms and messages just to finally hear back from someone. When I wanted to put my daughter with a neurologist instead of a Nurse Practitioner they said I’d have to wait several weeks and be assessed a new patient fee when my daughter has been a patient since 2014! I’m going to find better quality of care for my child. I’m greatly disappointed in the poor treatment, lack of responsiveness, and apathy of this clinic. I wish I could give negative stars.

Judith Bayliss: Saw both a doctor and medical student for my daughter, they were excellent. HOWEVER, I have been unable to actually receive the prescription my daughter needs despite days of calling. No return calls, no one is taking the action that is required by my insurance company so I can ACTUALLY GIVE MY DAUGHER HER MEDICINE. It's been a week. Don't go here.

Amanda Gandolfo: The Drs could be fine for all i know but good luck getting through the front office staff. Several calls made to make inital appt, get hung up on several times, each call on hold for at least 20-30 mins. Finally get an appt, show up and after spending 20 mins in waiting room with 2 children am told the Dr isnt there and I need to reschedule. I come to find out they do not have the right contact info, we update it (still not correct for both children), and somehow they still bill me for appts that did not happen. They then try to make it a virtual appt (how is that helpful for a 1st time visit for pediatric asthma?), when i refuse I am given another appt time the following week. Now in the following week I am receiving confirmations for only 1 child at a different time then the appt I made. The number I was given has no-one picking up, and when i call the general # (after being on hold for another 20mins) am told a 3rd appt time and then am hung up on when I try to resolve. I am now looking forward to another bunch of calls to try to cancel my appt. Ridiculous.

Precila Porrata: Waited over a month for my appointment. Got there 10 mins late, I live pretty far and VA traffic is unpredictable, planned trip via a driving app to make sure we would get there on time. Got there and waited 15 minutes to be called up only to be told go home they won't see me, I need to reschedule. The waiting room was full so I figured they were just punting me because they were overbooked. Don't really have vacation days where I can take off of work so when I finally managed to get some time off to take kid to see specialist and they just turn you away really hurts as a single mom. I'll let you decide if it's worth it because it's not for me. Now that I'm back to square one and no help I'll go somewhere else.

Stephanie Liller: Three weeks for a new appointment. Called the night before after I completed all the paperwork, that they called and reminder me to do, they told me she was almost 18 and I needed to see an adult allergist. Really didn't I give you her birthday when I set up the appointment. Then only referred me to a corporate number allergist.

Carolyn Albert: If there was an option for negative stars I would give it. After trying for two weeks to get through to the Infectious Disease clinic, we finally got an appointment. They cancelled three days later and told us to go to another clinic - who didn't have an appointment open and told us to call back in a month. Total waste of time. Took care of getting this in 10 minutes with another provider within a week.

pep7890: First of all, the Doctors and nurses there are GREAT. The telephone/call back system is really bad. It is impossible to get a live person to talk to. Every time I call them, they are busy so I get put on a "call back list". 57 calls ahead of me and no one calls me back. I tried again the next day, again a ton of calls ahead of me and this time they called back a couple of hours later, but I was unable to answer the phone. They left no messages and didn't even try to call a second time. They just skipped me and went to next person. I lost my place and had to call them all over again and got put on the "call back list" again. I finally had to email them to get what I wanted. The response to the email took one business day. They tried to get me to the patient portal, but every time I enter the requested info, it doesn't match up. I am fed up with the telephone/call back system. I can never get a hold of anyone. Please fix this.

Maggie Smith: The Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine team at the Pediatric Specialists of Virginia location in Merrifield is excellent. Our 19 month old son had a splint put in place by urgent care staff and as part of our routine follow-up as parents we reached out to the PSV Orthopedists team a few days later. They encouraged us to come in immediately because, in their experience, urgent care staff often place splints incorrectly. They made us an appointment for later that same day and thank God they did because when they removed his splint they revealed two deep tissue wounds caused by the splint being incorrectly placed. If not for their knowledge and expertise related to the risks of putting splints on toddlers our son would have almost certainly have lost his foot due to prolonged pressure and denial of oxygen to his heal and anterior ankle. In addition to their expertise this team is responsive and caring. The nurses, physicians assistants, doctors and surgeons all treated us with exceptional care and kindness. In the days following our sons wounds being revealed we reached out frequently for support and guidance and were always able to speak with a nurse either immediately when we called or they called back shortly thereafter. When we wanted help changing his bandages the nursing and PA staff scheduled us to come in later that day during their lunch break to make sure we felt prepared to care for our son over the weekend when they were closed. Unfortunately I can't remember the names of the excellent nurses we met and who cared for my son but they were all wonderful. Samantha Leahy PA-C and Kelly Crown PA-C are the reason our son was able to get an appointment the day we called for a follow-up on his splint, so I want to particularly highlight their expertise in their field and thank them from the bottom of my heart for saving our sons foot. I would also like to thank George Gantsoudes MD, the surgeon Ms. Leahy called in to immediately assess our son's wounds and who provided us with the assurance that while his wounds appeared horrific, he would be ok and would not lose his foot. I can't thank this team enough or recommend them enough. After being so horribly let down by the urgent care medical staff who attended to our son it was so wonderful to be reassured by these individuals who are clearly experts in their field. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
Response: Dear Valued PSV Patient/Family, Thank you for providing your valuable feedback. We strive to deliver the best pediatric specialty care possible to every child and family we serve. We're glad to hear we were able to provide exceptional care and excellent service. Sincerely, PSV

David Halstead: You have to wait a VERY long time to get appointments but when you have an appointment the wait in the waiting room is much better than other places. Some doctors are fantastic (Dr Leon Moores and Dr Brian Reilly are both amazing) and other doctors are awful (Dr Amisha Patel - nonresponsive, doesn't accurately remember the patient).

Children's National Medical Nphlgy: what do users think?

Crystal Mullens: I try to call every year to speak with and thank the nurses who actually got us through the guilt, anguish and helped me stay sane during my stint at Children's. They were the best ever. They kept me sane while my son was so very ill. They went above and beyond and took excellent care of my son, Dawson. Jenn, Heather and Sarah. You all are the best ever. Our son has grown into a terror from hell and we love every moment of it.

Leah Thompson: I was nervous while driving in after seeing the low rating but I noticed most complaints were due to the time spent waiting. Well today I spent 11 hours in the ER and while that’s a crazy amount of time my son was so well taken care of that I don’t care. Every option was explored and there was no being referred to other places because all specialist are under one roof. 100% recommend making the trip into DC for child emergencies if you’re able. The staff was wonderful❤️

LeAnne Wheeler: I've visited this hospital several time and I have experienced several doctors and specialists and each and everytime has been excellent. ER wait times are long but they are long at every hospital but when it comes to children waiting 3 hrs+ is devastatingly long for any parent. My family and I have gotten quality care each time. I'm leaving off 1 star because they NEED more locations in Southern MD. Most of their specialists are located further North and driving from Southern MD to Silver Spring is a chore. It's a great hospital.

Chaturbhuj bhojwani: Very good hospital for children my daughter had a eye surgery here. She was the patient of Dr. Jaffar.

Patricia Carter: My 6 month old daughter got stuck with a needle 7 times because other places “couldn’t get a good stick” when we went here, she got it on the first stick, no problem. We were in and out, with hardly any fuss from the baby. Kathy Hawkins, specifically, was absolutely amazing. Extremely attentive to not only baby, but myself and her dad as well. If we ever need blood work done for our daughter, we will absolutely make the 2hr trip to come here again!

blahblahblah mememe: The waiting times are horrible. As other bad reviews said yeah, you are going to be waiting anywhere from 1-6hrs. One time I was literally only coming to get my son the flu vaccine. Nothing else nothing more. Just get the flu shot and go home.We were waiting after being put in the patient room, for 3hrs. It was a nightmare. I was so disappointed because...hello!! ppl have lives and things to do. But my regular visits for my new baby have been an hour and a half. Today we had appt at 2:50pm left out 4:30pm so bout an hour and a half. Emergency room hours man when my son was a baby I remember being in the hospital for hours like 5+hrs. This was years ago before covid. So yeah you're always going to be disappointed with the waiting time. Other than that staff are friendly, polite, apologetic so they understand the wait is crazy. Idk I think it's just severely understaffed. You can't make more ppl become doctors. That's something most ppl can't afford and don't have the patience or even the real mindset to do so we kind of just gotta roll with the punches. I try to keep a patient attitude cus if I don't I'd be very aggressive and irritable. And that doesn't speed anything up or make the situation any less negative. So go in with a positive attitude and deep amount of patience.

Kristina Tipps: My 3 year old had a T&A last week and majority of the experience, particularly the recovery period, was not handled well. First, signage inside and outside the hospital is terrible. I drove around 3 times before calling to have someone guide me to the parking garage (she obviously had done that many times before). Once you get inside, you are told to go to the second floor surgical check in center, no one tells you that you must check in first on the first floor. There are no signs for the surgical center whatsoever. You'll need to flag down a staff member in the hall to lead you there. How can a hospital not have clear signs? All the parents are walking around aimlessly looking for where they need to go. I was told ahead of time that I'd have to stay overnight for my daughter to be monitored. This was fine. However, it was never explained that this overnight stay was as an outpatient in a recovery center. That is TOTALLY DIFFERENT than being admitted to a hospital room. The recovery center has curtain doors on one side of each room (fine for a staying a few hours). The nurse said she would try to find a room with a door for us, since we would be there overnight. A room with a door meant that one side of the room was a clear sliding glass door with a very thin curtain over it so all the light shines in the room. The bed that my 3 year old had to sleep in constantly vibrated, filled with air and then released the air. She was absolutely terrified of the bed and wouldn't sleep in it. I asked for another and was told I wasn't allowed to have a regular bed that didn't move because this one stimulated the muscles. What does that even mean for my daughter who had tonsil surgery??? So she slept on me the entire night...same thing as sleeping in a regular bed so it made no sense. Not to mention there was a loudspeaker on the wall so any announcement in the recovery center went booming through our room! How do you expect a 3 year old, or anyone, to rest and recover like that? Someone really needs to explain to parents that an overnight stay is not a hospital stay and there is nowhere to sleep, your child's bed will move the whole night, and you'll constantly be awakened to beeping machines and loudspeaker announcements. The nurse also accused me of removing the wires on her blood pressure cuff, which I did not do! Everytime she moved the wire would snap off the cuff and cause the machine to send a blaring beep throughout the room. Half of the time no one came to check on us, which is the whole point of the loud beeping alert! I would need to put my kid down on the bed she was terrified of to find someone, hoping she didn't freak out while I was gone. The ECT wires also kept falling off when she moved, so we had the same problem with that. After a few times, I watched how the nurses stopped the machine from beeping and started doing that myself. When they said discharge was 5am, I could not have been happier. I sat in the chair the entire night counting down the minutes and pausing the monitor alerts. There were other small things that I won't get into, but hopefully what I did say will help another parent plan better for their surgical experience.

Jennifer Alvarado: Best hospital for childrens. My daughter has had 56 surgeries during her 4 years of life, and everyone has been wonderful! I love Childrens hospital. From specialty doctors to pediatricians, nurses, radiology, clerks, social workers and other workers have been great! I love this hospital and will always be grateful! Parking is a little tough at times so it’s better to always leave an hour before your appointment. Thank you Childrens hospital.

Lisa Taylor: The “1” review is only because of our wonderful nurses. Poor attending gastroenterologist and resident problem-solving and diagnostics. They didn’t verbally communicate critical MRE results. Infection control issues with C-Diff after testing and “see it all the time there”…sanitize your equipment! Significant financial hardship with med school level care!

Marbel Panameno: I took my son there because he’s had a bad cought and the place was so dirty and there was even vomit on the floor and it took them over 10 mins to come clean it up. You would think the attention towards children would be good after all it’s called children’s but its bad and it took for ever to be seen, We waited over an hour in the emergency room before they brough us in…. Overall if I would have known about the attention in this hospital I would have taken my son elsewhere, not going there again.

PandA Pediatrics: what do users think?

Federica Marchesi: Dr. Pullman is amazing. She's been my son's doctor since he was born 2 years ago, and, even though we moved 45 minutes away from DC, we still take him there for his well visits. She is very qualified and competent, but also possesses the gift of being sensitive to patients and their parents, and she is very straightforward /common sense. Nurses Erin and Asha are excellent too, very professional and kind. I highly recommend Dr. Pullman!

Colleen Morton: Since 2003 Dr. Pullman has provided sound and compassionate medical care for my children. Over the last 17 years Dr. Pullman has always made herself available for questions and concerns. Dr. Pullman's years of experience have benefited my family on multiple occasions where she spotted or determined a health concern that was worthy of follow up/investigation (from my newborn infants to my teens!). On such occasions, Dr. Pullman has referred us to other top notch physicians -- pediatric cardiologists, physical therapists, psychologists, infectious disease specialists, pediatric eye surgeons, etc. Her early morning office hours are a godsend. Her staff Asha and Erin in particular, are almost like family members - my kids feel so comfortable with them. I have two healthy kids -- and i could not have done it without Dr. Pullman in my corner. I highly recommend this practice.

Lindsay Ruffner: Dr. Pullman and her staff have been taking excellent care of our children since the birth of our first child in 2013! She is an amazing pediatrician and has helped us navigate endless questions and concerns, from the very serious to the minuscule, as our family has grown. This fall we had to come in almost weekly with sick kids and she provided us with excellent care and practical advice to help us survive the chaos. The staff is top notch and there is no better nurse than Asha at making the kids comfortable and making even shots as painless as possible. We cannot recommend this practice enough and are so thankful our kids are in such capable hands!

The HSC Pediatric Center: what do users think?

Stephanie Vaziri: Incompetent staff. Scheduled him for 3 appointments and they would cancel an hour before saying it wasn’t approved by insurance even though they had to approve it prior to making the appointment. Since the staff doesn’t know how to input insurance information correctly or follow up my babies development is being delayed further. They have his apparatus and he can’t get it because the staff can’t do their job correctly and they don’t care about their patients. Also, I am the one that has to keep calling and following up because they don’t have the respect to do that either. It’s been over 3 months and still no progress. Go with another company that actually care about their patients and getting them the care they need as fast as possible.
Response: Thank you so much for reaching out to us with your concerns, Stephanie. Please call our ombudsman team directly at 202-476-2064 so we can address your experience as soon as possible. – Noelle @Children's National Hospital

Dd D: Courtney is the worst for speech. Very rude and unclean. She doesn’t wash her hands and the table is so unsanitary. You will also get surprising bills in the mail from her sessions. It’s shocking people treat others this way when there’s the internet.
Response: “Thank you so much for reaching out to us with your concerns, Dd D. Please contact our team directly at connect@hschealth.org so we can address your experience as soon as possible. – The HSC Health Care System”

shakeela farid: My daughter was admitted there and she had a skin issue I request the doctors to let her stay but they did not help me. I will not recommend this place for babies
Response: Thank you so much for reaching out to us with your concerns, shakeela. Please call our ombudsman team directly at 202-476-2064 so we can address your experience as soon as possible. – Noelle

rahil hussain: Avoid this place they will do anything for money. They kept me in the rehab (A brain injury patient) which they don't treat and know nothing about causing me more injury including disability now i have to live with it. They did the complete opposite of what a rehab is known for had to get out of there and get shifted to Children Hospital causing another brain surgery.
Response: “Thank you so much for reaching out to us with your concerns, Rahil Hussain. Please contact our team directly at connect@hschealth.org so we can address your experience as soon as possible. – The HSC Health Care System”

Marci Creech: My nephew was born very prematurely and was at HSC for over a month recovering. The staff were very knowledgeable and took great care of him.

Cynthia Smith: It was a great experience for my Grandson and all of the family and friends. They provided us all with a full sense of comfort and peace of mind. Everything was covered.

Sharon Bowie: It's a great place for long term therapy n staff is great very welcoming lots of new equipment

Charles Thorne: Avoid this place at all cost. Didnt properly ventilate my daughter few years ago causing further brain injury then had staff cover it up.

Tay Wilson: Great therapy but the Equipment clinic sucks . True definition of nickle and dime!

Jessica White: We only do outpatient care. Everyone we have seen has been extraordinary.
