Janine Fiasconaro: They use good tech like LED light therapy but this is NOT a spa experience. They won’t explain products as they apply them, they don’t get applied to your neck, it’s an open area so you’ll have other customers swarming around you. If you’re in a room the door will stay open. I also didn’t really get a skin consultation either. I just don’t feel it’s worth that price when the service is so bare bones. It really feels like a get in get out type of place.

Sara Norton: I have been to Silver Mirror twice now and have not been impressed. My esthetician’s were great, however, half of the time of my facial was spent just sitting there with either a chemical peel on my face or red light therapy, a waste of time. My second experience also ended 10 minutes early. I have done many facials and this felt like an express facial. They also do not apply any product to the neck and only the face. At the end of both services they were very pushy about selling products and I was given a suggestion for a product that I already use. Definitely will not be returning.

I’ve seen Olga and Alex and they are both exceptional. Facials are tailored to the season and to you. No two facials have been the same yet! Also, I love that they suggest a few products at the end but they don’t try to up sell/ pressure you in to buying. The only downside is the website is not super user friendly and you can’t really see scheduled appointments or any account details. Not enough to deduct any stars cause you can just call and they will sort you right out!

Then after paying $250 for a 60 minute facial they did in 40 minutes. When I mentioned this at checkout I got a snooty response back and dismissed. The most impressive aspect is that three days before I booked my custom facial, she took the time to text with me regarding which facial I should get. Bri Acors: My boyfriend and I visited Tu Suva for a couples massage for Valentine’s Day. The set up and complimentary wine and chocolate was amazing however, the quality of our massages was not worth $250. Not to mention one of our masseuses was late. Upon return home my back was sore to the touch. Today, I have what looks to be burns from the hot stones that were placed on my skin. We were both very disappointed in the quality of the service that we were provided.

I’ve been going to CSI for about a year now and I keep coming back because of Judy Silvero’s great work. She is kind, professional, and best of all, knowledgeable at what she does. She’ll answer all 500 of your questions & still somehow manage to finish you up in time enough for you to make your lunch date! Not to mention the results she gives you are absolutely flawless. The facility is clean and never crowded. They schedule out appointments perfectly so there is never a long wait. Like I’ve said I’ve been going for a year and I’ve only ever sat in the lobby for 2 minutes max during a visit. The ladies who work the front desk are wonderful as well. Specifically Sonia, who also preps you for your procedure. She is so sweet and accommodating & I can tell she plays a big part in making sure everything runs smoothly at this location. Update: Parking is available behind the building and just found out that street parking is free for two hours. 5 stars!

She listened to what I wanted and made suggestions on what products would get me the results I was looking for. She was honest regarding the maintenance required and time-lasting/life of the products. Upon entering the office I didn’t even make it up to the front desk to check in because the Medical Assistant was ready and waiting there to greet and take me back as soon as I walked in. I highly recommend the Cosmetic Skin Institute. They are a top-notch medical skin care services facility. My experience from start to finish was seamless, pleasant, easy, and time-efficient. Sab Rina: I chose Mi Skin Dermatology Center because I saw online that the doctor was a board certified dermatologist. The consultation was free and I met with a nurse, who told me she would also be doing the procedure. The nurse was great during the consultation and the procedure. I decided on traditional micro needling for face and neck that they charge $850 (thats for ONE individual session, I originally thought that included my first 3 sessions, it does not). I also had to buy a $200 serum. I’m disappointed after the procedure for a few reasons. I never even met the board certified dermatologist, which is the entire reason I went there. I would have loved if she would’ve at least looked at my skin and provided her input. I never received a call from the center to follow up on my healing or to even schedule my next appointment. I called myself multiple times and never received a call back. I’m disappointed in the lack of customer service. I paid $1050 for a 30 minute procedure and no follow up. I might as well have went somewhere else for the same procedure and paid less.

Shade Lanz: I had a very horrible experience here and wish I never made the trip! I went in to treat sunburns that I got from vacationing. Dr. Alster took a quick look at me and said I was "INNATELY DARK" and she could not help me until I was "no longer exposing myself to sunlight"... in what world does that happen?! She then recommended a face serum, eye cream, and sunscreen powder, which were completely ineffective after using it for over 2 months (I bought the serum and eye cream). This is besides the fact that I was treated like a lab rat with student doctors perusing my face. I am still traumatized by the VERY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE I had here. It was a total waste of my time and money.

Pricing is competitive and transparent (they have their price list on a handout), treatments are wonderful and I like all the estheticians. I’ve purchased a few of their products and liked them. The price was the same as I could find online and they aren’t pushy about selling them. I moved 45 miles away last year and tried to find a new place in Loudoun — but no one else compares! Update: About two months ago, I came in for a follow-up consultation due to concerns over my VI peel. We worked out a solution where I would receive a discount on my next treatment. When I returned next, I was treated differently. When I went to the desk to settle up and schedule my next appointment, I was told they were “completely booked” for all 3 dates I suggested around 6 weeks out. They seem to no longer want my business.

May RC: I had a terrible experience as a first time customer, which is strange since I wanted to try out this place because it had such good reviews. I finally decided to write this review because I realized the experience is still bothering me. I went for a first time appointment in December 2021 for laser treatment and botox. When I arrived, the staff let me know I couldn’t do both at the same time due to overlapping skin damage of the two treatments. I told them this was fine with me, and I preferred doing the laser that day and I would come back later for botox. Then they proceeded to tell me they will charge a $50 cancellation fee since I could not do botox that day, as the two treatments were from different providers. I obviously thought this was ridiculous since I did not cancel my appointment - I was literally sitting in the office - and I was not made aware that I had to reschedule the treatments separately. The staff claimed they called and left a voicemail, which I did not receive (possibly due to me being out of the country for vacation), and I had received no communication otherwise. I continued having to argue with the staff about the unfairness and ridiculousness of the situation - if you were a first time customer like I was, what do you think your impression of this place would’ve been? I was ready to walk out and leave because the person I was talking to was so rude - saying things like “I’m not going to repeat myself again to you.” - but they said they were going to then charge $100 cancellation fee if I did. Finally I convinced them to give me a $50 credit - as in, I will pay the additional $50 but it can be used towards a treatment in the future. I thought it was still ridiculous but better than paying a $50 “cancellation fee” despite actually showing up for the appointment. I actually ended up not even receiving the laser treatment that day, which I had prepaid for, because I had to purchase and use some additional products to prep my skin. The owner, Marissa, did come in later to say “don’t worry about the $50”, but I was still pretty shook from the earlier experience. The products they said I had to buy for prepping for the laser treatment were high quality but quite expensive (~$400) and I did not see a noticeable positive difference between using those and the current products I were using (the same types of products, such as vitamin C, hyaluronic acid, etc). In fact, the vitamin C that I got from Honey caused me to break out and I developed a possible allergic reaction (sensitive, itchy skin) so I had to stop using it.

Kayla Bajak: When I moved to Virginia, I was recommended Honey Skincare Studio by a friend and have been a returning customer ever since. I personally go to Master Aesthetician Brittany Brown who is incredible. As a blonde I am always concerned about my eyebrow tint and very specific to ensure a natural look. Brittany listened to my concerns and made sure my tint was flawless every time. The studio offers so much which made it a no brainer to try new services. I have had my lashes lifted and tinted, brows shaped and tinted as well as facials. Every service has been amazing with great results. I highly recommend Honey Skincare Studio and would give Brittany more than 5 starts if possible!

Sarah Blum: Obsessed with this studio - Lauren was so great for my first hydra facial, she educated me on the process and skincare in general. She also was super transparent on products to try and products to avoid. Highly recommend!

Amanda Sloper: Le-Nhu just did my moxie a few weeks back and I am so happy with the results. She is very knowledgeable, patient, and walks you through all the steps and after care thoroughly. He talents are obvious! I also so enjoyed my time with her— she kept me laughing. She also gives great recommendations on skincare but is not pushy. I will be back to see her in the fall for BBL and I am already looking forward to it.

Al W: I had my second visit with Dr. Peters, and I will not be returning. Although my first visit with her was satisfactory and she gave me great skincare recommendations, her demeanor was rushed and slightly patronizing. When I scheduled a follow-up appointment, I tried to schedule with Dr. Tanzi, but she is not seeing any new patients. So I decided to give Dr. Peters another shot-- same issue. Even though she answered all of my questions, I felt as though she was racing through my exam, as though she had somewhere else to be. Not the feeling I am going for when I see a dermatologist or any doctor. While I have no doubt she is highly skilled and an excellent practitioner, if you are looking for someone with a more relaxed and measured approach, you may want to look elsewhere.

Rachel Eggleston: I have only had fantastic experiences at Capital Skin & Laser! Dr. Shah and Nurse Erin provide excellent services, answer my questions, and make me feel like my skin is in good hands. The office is beautiful, and everyone is friendly and welcoming. I’ve gone in for Dysport and Clear and Brilliant laser treatments, and I’m very happy with the results. Dr. Shah also helped me develop a skincare routine personalized to my needs. They never try to over-sell you extra products or services. I’m so happy that I found an outstanding dermatologist whom I trust in DC.

Erica: I absolutely LOVE Capital Laser & Skin Care. I have been here five separate occasions and in each instance staff made me feel welcomed, always professional, and never made me feel uncomfortable by forcing certain products or procedures like other places may do. Additionally, the office is beautiful, comfortable, and well-kept. They run such a great practice! I worked primarily with Nurse Erin and Dr. Peters, who were wonderful. I also appreciate how everything was always explained thoroughly. I learned so much from the staff. Five stars and highly recommend!

Habitually Hilari: I always get a great outcome from Cultura. I continue to go here because they are results oriented and intentional about the treatments and methods. If I could change one thing, it would definitely be the demeanor of the office staff. They have recently hired more personable people since the early days but there are a few people who work in this office that must lead a miserable daily life. I wish them well, but I truly hate encountering people with toxic dispositions in the service industry. It’s very disruptive to my energy and unprofessional at best.

I felt really comfortable with her. My case was recently transferred to Monica; Really nice and professional. I only had two treatments left with her. During my last treatment, it was founded that I needed to take a break after undergoing 8 treatments, my skin was very sensitive to this last treatment.
