Sandra Biedron: Wow. Great place for vintage jewelry and everything else one needs for a home or office. Not only is everything repurposed but all proceeds go to children in the area that need help meeting their emotional needs. Found four rare Portmeirion pottery pieces as well as two pieces of vintage high-end jewelry. These were very fairly priced with the market. Excellent collection of dishes, silver, and crystal. Go there instead of doing a wedding registry! So much more green! Rock on Opportunity Shop - you made my heart happy today seeing things re-purposed! The place was packed!

Eric Rajendra: The best antique and bric-a-brac store in all of DC. Our family in Georgetown has given thousands of dollars worth in contributions of our own antiques we no longer needed and then we bought thousands of dollars more in antiques we needed!! This place is a gem for us Washingtonians!! The volunteer staff members are truly precious and really dedicated!! They love their work and make the entire experience of browsing a joy. The second floor has great stuff so GO UP!! Jewelry, silverware, Asian antiques, porcelain, etc! You won’t be disappointed. You need to return weekly as new consignments and donations come all the time!! Trust me.

A. Greenough Dodd: Huge fan of this nonprofit consignment shop (aka The "Op Shop"!) that benefits the needs of DC area children. Always great finds, but definitely allow time to peruse the many items. Well-worth the search!

Angela Van: Clean and organized decor consignment purchase structure (can see how the price drops by date). Always find something when I go in. Unfortunately, they just re-organized downstairs so the bulk is upstairs--no elevator.

Franklin Owens III: I was there for clothing… but I can never pick out clothing in a thrift store, so I left with books. The store was well organized though. I tend to be a bit uncomfortable buying items out of thrift stores. I didn’t care much for the clothes. But there were other items in the home section were really nice. Everyone was nice in the thrift store. Even when I gathered a cart full of books and then realized I couldn’t use my clothing voucher on books😬😅

Brenda took a great deal of time to educate my wife and I, who were complete novices with regards to mattress buying. Brenda even stayed well past the closing time to continue working with us on a possible purchase. Her knowledge of mattresses seems very thorough, particularly from her own experiences, and she was fair in her opinions (not trying to overtly push any product). She was at the end looking to make a sale happen but she made sure we got a very good deal. Brenda seems to us to be an extremely sincere salesperson. My wife and I are extremely glad we stopped at this Mattress Warehouse and found Brenda.

The shipping was fast and on time, also the deliver guys will call you 20 minutes ahead before they arrived to your home. However, the coworkers following my condos rules to delivered. The furniture both are great quality items, definitely recommended to you guys. 👍

Jessica Kropf: This is a good store to visit if you like solid wood furniture. They have some items available to carry away same day, and offer custom orders as well. They also have a lot of large wood slabs on hand to select and custom finish for live edge tables. The location at 2936-B Prosperity Ave. is scheduled to close and consolidate with the Alexandria location (possibly by July 2022?). They have live edge wood slabs there still, along with rustic reclaimed cabinets and furniture, tansu style chests, and tables and chairs. Items are discounted at that location currently until the move, or visit the main location in Alexandria for a wider selection of furniture and decorative items.

Arthur Lord: Great quality, family-owned business, with even better customer service. We were very happy with the dining room table and chairs that we bought. After we used the table daily for a year, we noticed the wood started to separate at one end-- we contacted the owner (Bram) and he happily fixed the table, free of charge. Even gave us a loaner for the days it was in their shop. They picked it up and dropped it off around our schedule. It looks and works great now. Talk about standing behind your products. Would definitely shop here again.

Almost two months later, I still didn’t have my items and the store wasn’t sure when they’d be able to get them to me. I canceled that order and started shopping around again when I found a sectional I liked on Bob’s website. I found a location near me in Hyattsville in the hopes that I could take a look at it in person. I’m always hesitant about furniture shopping because of the nature of it; the employees hover around you ready to pounce on any opportunity to make a sale. That was not my experience at Bob’s Furniture. The staff was attentive but laid back and respectful of my space and my need to explore before deciding. I had a great time chatting with Julissa, the salesperson who helped me. We tried out different options with what I was looking for in mind until we found something I loved and could easily afford. The best part was that delivery was schedule for less than two weeks from the date I made my purchase! He allowed me to take my time to look around at all choices and was available for any questions I had a long the way. I am looking forward to my bed arriving soon. My furniture arrived and the setup was quick and the workers were very professional. I absolutely love my storage bed and mattress . The drawers for the storage bed are very deep with lots of space. No complaints about the price money well spent for quality furniture.

I think their best section is the long sleeve shirts for women, I think they have some real gems in there! Workers are nice and it was an easy checkout. Would recommend if you need a blouse or just want to browse!

T: A medium-sized store with a pretty decent selection on used pieces. I came out with two really nice dresses both brand new with the tags still on them and a skirt that still have the tags on it so it was new as well I also found a nice straw beach bag for the summer.
