The Dabney Cellar: what do users think?

Peyton Doyle: This cozy underground bar was a delightful choice for a weekday happy hour. The decor and vibe was dimly lit, warm and comfortable. The drinks were delicious, as were the oysters and the happy hour appetizers. Everything tasted fresh and so good. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a solid drink/snack spot in Shaw.

Ariana: Excellent service, intimate space, deluxe drinks. We came here for after dinner date drinks. The bartenders were friendly and knowledgeable. They knew their stuff and were able to explain all drink ingredients and make modifications on request. The mulled wine is sooo good. When it first came out it was a bit concentrated but our bartender diluted it with a touch of additional red wine which made it perfect. Lost a star because the menu isn’t vegan friendly.

Adam Twardowski: Incredible ambiance, a very intimate and romantic space tucked away under an easily overlooked narrow set of stairs. Perfect for dates. Incredible selection of wine and delicious snacks. Can’t wait to return.

Corinne Goudreault: Fantastic waitress and very sweet atmosphere. The cheeses we had were amazing - if they have the ricotta on the snack menu GET IT!! It’s a very intimate and fun vibe, and my friend said the oysters were delicious. Great selection, helpful staff.

Shelley New: Excellently curated by-the-glass list. Bottle list is even better. Tasty small bites. Excellent place to wait out a Blagden Alley reservation or just to have a glass of wine (or two).

Tanya Lawrence: Girls' wine night done right. Gorgeous space, great music. Champagne, wine, and charcuterie all presented without flaw.

Kristin Cairns: The Dabney Cellar saved our night after a sad experience at our previous destination. The cocktails are well balanced and inventive, the wine list ‘takes you places’. The exquisite bar bites are creative riffs on familiar dishes. The atmosphere is intimate yet lively. And the bartender, servers and kitchen staff are knowledgeable, friendly and genuine.

M planetmike: This is a basement. Very noisy when crowded. Nothing special here. The service is good. Some local (Virginia) wines are also served here.

Sherman C: Pulling open the door with the Dabney leaf sign to this underground wine bar, it opens up to a cozy and warm space of deliciousness. The service style is pretty much consistent with the restaurant: non-assuming, down-to-earth but attentive, knowledgeable and welcoming. The waitresses always take the time to explain the wines to you; they listen to what you like about wine, offer to bring samples, and there are half glasses. The intriguing snacks/meat/cheese menu adds to this excellent experience.

Jamie Fuller: Chef Langhorne has done a great job with the Cellar. Wonderful wine selection, with bottles under $50, and great rotating food options. Some favorites included the buttermilk dressing with fresh carrots as well as the ham choices. Service is what you would expect upstairs at a Michelin started restaurant, with a more casual and cozy vibe! Cant wait to come back!

Shelly's Back Room: what do users think?

Rosalinda Edwards: Not a bad spot to go and enjoy a stick and or drink. The Bartender was likable, knowledgeable, and helpful. We tried two Korean whiskeys and they were both quite delicious. The ambiance is super chill and I loved that our vaccination cards were asked to get in. The thing that will have me come back is the food. My compliments to the chef! We had the crab and artichoke dip as well as the Tex Mex egg rolls and both selections were delicious. The layout is different and it was a bit hard to hear my talk. Overall I would visit again.

Lily Ayres: Delicious!! A great sized menu with so many options. I got the Thursday special which was a chicken tender cordon bleu sandwich, so good! Crispy and sooo juicy! The bun was so good and you can tell the fries are fresh cut! Was a nice dinner outside on the patio with great service!

Lincoln Ward: Best wings in DC. Stopped in for lunch. Great service, great food and appetizers. Great cocktails. Oh, and you can enjoy a cigar there too!

Klara Cheung: I love coming here. It's my 2nd time here and they have an extensive cigar and drink list for whiskey and scotch. We also ordered the Crab Artichoke Dip and Cheesy Bread that was pretty decent. The cocktail Japanese Soho was also really good. Good service, great cigars and a laid back atmosphere.

Bob Dole: I wanted to smoke a cigar and enjoy a nice drink, this place allowed me to do both. I came here with my fiance that doesn't like cigars (or alcohol) but we both had an enjoyable time. They've got a great selection of whiskey and alcohol in general, the prices are good and the staff are great. I would definitely come back again with someone that enjoys cigars and whiskey and expect to have a very good time.

Eric Starling: This was my favorite cigar spot but on multiple occasions I've found fruit flies in my drink. Normally when that's happened my drink was refilled with no complaints. Tonight for some reason Sonya decided to question whether it was cigar ash when it clearly was a fruit fly. Then to add insult to injury my drink, which was a double, was only partially refilled and then I was told it was filled to the same level it was when I found the fruit fly. This is a very popular place so I'm sure they won't miss my business but there shouldn't be fruit flies in drinks and you should accommodate for something like that because it genuinely suggests that there's a cleanliness issue with their bar. At any rate, despite how much I've enjoyed it in the past, will be my last time giving them my business.

Shaniece Stewart: Went to Shelly's for my dad and cousin's birthday. They visited from Michigan and they wanted to do an adult group activity. The cigar selection was great they said, I don't know because I don't smoke. I know my mom got the Chocolate cigar and my cousin she got the Cherry and they both liked them. Actually, being a non smoker and being inside didn't bother me, I had a great time. I really appreciate Shelly's wait staff and host accommodating our party of 9.

Jewlz: Shelly's makes an AWSOME Cobb Salad! The service was very good and it's nice that there is a place where cigar smokers can go indoors and do their thing without reservation. I am not a smoker. I just stopped for lunch and the place seemed well ventilated. Yes, I could still smell it, but it was tolerable. Will I stop in there again for lunch? Absolutely!

Alexis Faciane: Tasty cocktails made good cigars. Enjoyed our time here while in town

Gerald Piercey: Went to a cigar dinner. Food was excellent, I had a burger with cheese and bacon, friend had shrimp poorboy sandwich, both with fries. Staff was excellent, quick to refill glasses or deliver fresh drinks. Great place to smoke and enjoy quality food.

Sonoma Restaurant and Wine Bar: what do users think?

Luisa Spizzotin: The place is nice and the staff very kind! However we were a little disappointed with the food. The steak was very fatty and the duck floated in the gravy. Plus they both arrived cold. Pity. The wine list is interesting. I don't think we'll be back.

Harvest Tide Steakhouse: This restaurant is exquisite. Chef Mel is amazing, he understood my dietary needs and my meal was delicious he even gave me some of the special sauce from my meal to take home. I must say the front of the house is wonderful also, Juan, Stephen, Jose and Jordan.

Angela Kappus: The atmosphere of Sonoma was top notch. It's a relatively quiet place to meet up and talk over some great wine. The food is good but standard, focusing on pasta, pizza, and a few entrees. I wished there were more varied appetizers for a group. I would recommend Sonoma more as a place to linger and talk rather than a foodie place.

Bob Krumm: What a great dinner date experience! Very good wine list. The menu was a nice variety too. But neither were so extensive that they were without focus. We paired four courses with four wines and all were exceptional. They use a nitrogen system so that glasses are just as fresh as unopened bottles. And the food is awesome. Definitely recommend the mussels and the tuna tartare. And don’t skip the port for dessert. Strong five stars!

Jose Luis Aparicio: Excellent bar and restaurant , the Sonoma burger was great but, bartender Juan and Jose were amazing. I would like to recommend this cocktail: old fashioned🍹.

Sarah Bartholomew: Sonoma has become my go-to destination for great company, great wine, and dishes that hit the spot. There's a great variety of both wine and food, so you can come here and try something new with every visit. The diversity is key. The staff is incredibly friendly and personable and have quickly become friends. Come to Sonoma for the wine, stay for the company! Can't recommend this place enough.

Melissa Tavilla: I stopped for lunch on a weekday while waiting for my entry time to the Library of Congress. The food was perfect. Salad greens with salmon and a side of focaccia. I ate outside to enjoy the fine weather and watch the world go by. The server was efficient but not welcoming. The glass of wine with lunch made it all a little too expensive for a lunch time stop.

Ellen Tani: A sad exemplar of DC’s reputation for food mediocrity. Went here for lunch with a friend at 11:45 am on a weekday. The restaurant was nearly empty, took them 30 minutes to bring me a glass of wine. The food is uninspired and expensive, probably because it’s so close to the capital grounds. Go a couple blocks west for better options!

Amanda Persad: I’ve been before and I feel like the quality of food and ingredients were incredible. But they truly topped themselves for restaurant week. I got oyster stew, whole dorado, and creme caramel w chocolate pearls. Amazing.

Paul Krzych: Sonoma is THEE place to go for a great meal on Capitol Hill. Pastas are exquisite as is their cocktail, wine, and beer programme. Great staff, too! Went most recently to their annual crab feast. A must do event during the summer!

Cork Wine Bar and Market: what do users think?

Miguel Curiel: Super nice, tranquil, boutique (and potentially underrated) bar. Especially recommended if you’re fond of having deep conversations and drinking wine. Although the food menu is short, everything we ordered was delicious - especially the truffled fries and of course the drinks!

Tasha C: I had great time here the food and 🍷 was delicious. Most importantly our waiter (Kareem) was so helpful. He recommended a wine for me that was so good I brought 2 bottles.

Jesse: Great wine selection and food. Make sure to order the fried chicken.

Dan Hopkinson: Had such a fun time here on a Friday evening. We drank a little too much delicious wine and chatted with locals and the bartender (Kareem), who was very knowledgeable and let us try some wines before we decided on our second bottle. Would be here much more often if we lived in the neighborhood! Great Spot!

Stacey King: A restaurant with no changing tables in the restrooms. Koala Kare stations are $200. My table spent more than that. My kid is also going to be paying your social security, so maybe you can give a sleep deprived new mother a place to change diapers other than the bathroom floor. Just asked by the super nice server if I’d left the review. So beware if you leave a review. Do better for new parents. It’s not hard.

dipika: Cork is a gem in the neighborhood. The wines are extensive and carefully selected, the food is low key among the best on 14th St, and the overall atmosphere is light and fun. Kareem (Karim?) was our guy for the evening and made the experience for us with his knowledge and friendliness and perfect table side manners.

Cheryl Warner: Have long been a fan of the dinner menu, and tried brunch for the first time. It was great! Delicious and great service.

Jeff Kryger: Stopped in for a wine flight. Really generous pours and nice selection. Would have been nice if the bathrooms had a changing table, so I didn't have to change my child on the dirty floor.

Lisa Hamilton: Best fried chicken in DC. We had our rehearsal dinner here last year and the service was great, wine was great and food was BOMB. Fried chicken, kale and Mac and cheese were fantastic. Biscuits are perfection. Love this place!

Sinan Pismisoglu: Nice place, good quality wine choices. We have been there for a wine tasting event. It was interesting and worth the money. Service could have been better. I understand that it’s a family business. They spent good money on decorating the place and developing the menu etc. however, there is this lack of staff that kinda makes it somehow disturbing and I cannot explain how. Overall, it’s good wine food.
Response: Sinan, thanks for your comments. If you would like to elaborate more on "lack of staff," please email us at info@corkdc.com.

District Winery: what do users think?

Josh Griff: Had the dessert wine and grilled cheese. The grilled cheese had tomato jam which was sweet and tasty. The dessert wine was crisp and not too overly sweet. We sat at the bar and were served fairly quick and was a nice snack before the Nationals game. There was a wedding and a bridal shower going on at the same time while we were there too.
Response: Josh - thank you for the positive feedback! We also love the grilled cheese!! We hope to see you again soon - Cheers!!

Fatima D: This is one of our favorite spots in the Navy Yard area. We have been frequenting this restaurant since they've opened. Unfortunately they're not as good as they used to be and it seems that their menu has gotten progressively worse. Their food is not exciting. Brunch options were very limited and there was a very little variety in the menu. But otherwise most of the things we got were good and tasty (the Brussels sprout was a disappotintment as some of it were overcooked.) Also, we would have ordered more if there were healthier options for brunch. We decided to go for desserts elsewhere. The ambiance and outdoor seating is very nice though. The food came around quickly but the waiteress that served us was so slow we wished we got out of the restaurant faster. Beware that navy yard is a very congested area and parking is not easy to find. There's a parking spot behind the restaurant but its constantly full so I wouldn't bank on it especially if there is a wedding or reception in the restaurant's upper floors. Just plan your trip a bit better with ample time for parking or Uber to the location!
Response: Hi Fatima- Thank you for taking the time to write us your feedback. We value our customers and strive to get better. As you know covid has greatly effected the world and we are doing everything we can to keep our customers happy and provide top quality and service. As a valued regular, I hope that you will come back to join us again soon.

Kimberly Humphries: Excellent customer service thank you Terry and Lauren. Let me start off by saying this place is clean, classy, and has an amazing Ambience. I am a person who appreciates a good wine. Lauren was our host for the tour she explained in detail about the different wines so that you will get a clear understanding of how to pick your wine choices. This place is inexpensive and everyone is welcome. Everyone was dressed very tasteful and professional. They offer different packages that are all great. I’m so glad I got to experience a wine tasting in the city which gave me so much knowledge and education. Pay to park is available right next to the winery. They are close to the water front, you can walk and enjoy after the tasting and get a beautiful view of the city. There are so many nice shops and restaurants near by. For people who can not go to a winery far away. This place is truly a jewel.
Response: Kimberly - thank you for the lovely review!! Both Terri and Lauren are valuable members of our staff and I will be sure to pass along your kind words! We are thrilled to hear how much you enjoyed your experience yesterday and we hope to see you again soon. Cheers!

Kheyanna Suarez: The menu did not really appeal to my taste buds that day since I was hungry and wanted a hearty meal. But I enjoyed the happy hour glasses of wine which were $7 each. Our server, Steve, was wonderful and we had an amazing view of the water. They had some interesting wine flights + small plates for two deals on the happy hour menu that I would like to try. We just couldn’t decide on 3 different small plates since only 1 of them appealed to us. Maybe on another trip I’ll get a chance to experience their flights.
Response: Hi Kheyanna, thank you so much for the review and feedback. We're glad to hear that you enjoyed your visit overall and will definitely pass along your comments! Cheers!

Daniel Thomas: First off, District Winery is a showcase of modern 2010s design - steel/glass plate windows from floor to ceiling/clean design/quirky modern art on the walls. I mean this as a compliment - it is light and airy as a result with a self assured air. The service was fantastic - from the front staff to our waiter Xavier. We ordered the flights and bites: the fried Brussels sprouts, the curried cauliflower, and the grilled cheese. As you can see, the food is very well presented. It is essentially basics elevated by presentation. A buttered grilled cheese with tomato, cheese, basil (essentially a pizza in sandwich form), the Brussels sprouts were well done and tasty, although I could have appreciated some more kick/tang - little dry. The cauliflower was also a little dry and not particularly “curried” although the cornbread with chutney was a nice counterpoint. It just was a little bland. As for the wines, I found them to be fairly one-note - these are on the dry and light side. This is more a personal preference - I prefer less dry, full bodied wines. Having said that, this would be a great place to go for a happy hour - the location in the Navy Yard overlooking the water is gorgeous. This is a place I would return to to socialize, but I think the food doesn’t quite compete with the area’s other options.

Miss Powell: I'm not vegan but my partner is and there were a number of options that we both enjoyed. The vegan grazing selection, olives, Brussel sprouts, cauliflower dished were amazing and more. Ample serving size and truly delicious with the wine. Meredith our server was excellent. We will be returning...soon. Thanking the chef, manger and wait staff for a wonderful dining experience.

Noa Vermaak: Our waitress Alexandra (Alex) today was amazing! She was super kind/funny and attentive. we ordered 2 Rosé, but after we ordered it we figured a bottle would be better. She left one full glas for me to taste and just brought the bottle. No extra charges! Those are the little things a guest will remember. The food here is also amazing and so was our wine. Can’t wait to go back and enjoy a sunny afternoon at District Winery

Parker Kelley: Great food & atmosphere! We made a reservation on a Friday at 7:00. We arrived and were immediately seated. Our amazing server Morgan took great care of us & recommend great drinks. For starters we got the chicken bites (must try) and the brussel sprouts ! The surrounding area was very busy & finding parking was a challenge.
Response: Hi Parker, thank you so much for your review! We’re so glad to hear that you enjoyed your experience with us! We hope to see you again soon! Cheers!

Marie Pierce: I would totally recommend the date night for two. The entire staff was so nice. We had so much fun with our wine guide Laura and lucked out that it was only us in the tasting room. Laura was knowledgeable and friendly. She answered all of our questions and more.
Response: Marie - we are thrilled to hear how much you enjoyed your tasting experience with Lauren! We hope to see you again soon - perhaps for one of our other tasting experiences! Cheers!

Teaching Realtor: Great service. Unique food creations. Wonderful location. Will go back again soon to be able to enjoy outdoor seating-- this seating area must be booked in advance directly through the restaraunts' website.

Sonoma Cellar: what do users think?

Daniel Sweeney: We came here for an early dinner and had a great time! They gave some great happy hour deals ($2 off wine by the glass, good small plates). Service was very helpful and friendly. The back patio is a little hidden gem that you wouldn't know existed unless you went into the restaurant. We enjoyed a great wine tasting, along with some wonderful cheese and crostini. We then had shrimp tacos and the chicken pita, both very good. Finally we split the red wine brownie, which was flavorful and soft of the inside. Absolutely recommend coming in for a glass of vino and some plates right in old town.

Cory Peters: I love Sonoma Cellar. I've visited many times. I enjoy the wide variety of craft beers they have. Many are from our local Wisconsin brewing companies. They have everything you're looking for. I've always been met with a smiling employee that has always asked if I need help. They are very knowledgeable as they are very competent individuals, that know a lot about the products they cell. I can't wait to visit again. keep up the awesome work Sonoma Cellar Crew!!

Gisela R: I went here with my good friend and we enjoyed it. The wine was good and definitely left feeling great. The food was great I had the vegetarian pasta and she had a burger.

Rosalinda Edwards: Enjoyed a lively supper here on the outside patio. Our visit started with a preying mantis visitor so I knew the dining experience was going to be great. The shrimp tacos were delicious and while the wine flight wasn’t exchangeable, my companion is allergic to red wine… we throughly enjoyed ourselves. Our waiter was pleasant as was the rest of the staff. I would visit again.

Manda B: The macaroni was delicious!! So so good. The white ones that we had were good but would definitely suggest getting the reds instead.

Natalie Neal: Their garden in the back is just lovely! We got the smoked salmon Benedict and the strawberry salad with grilled chicken, and both were phenomenal. They must have been busy for a Saturday morning because the service was a little slow, but otherwise it was a nice visit.

Charlotte Epting-Schillinger: As someone whose never written an online review for a place, I feel compelled to do so after my visit this evening. The wine was incredible, and I can’t complain about the quality of the wine, but the service was less than satisfactory. The service was okay until we ordered dessert. The server forgot to put in our dessert and was less than apologetic when we asked him about it at least 15 minutes after we ordered. We decided to forgo the dessert and once we got the check we read over it before paying and he mis/overcharged us for the check, and was not apologetic whatsoever once we pointed it out to him. On top of this, the environment that the the host, server and manager all created was less than desirable and just made us generally uncomfortable during our visit. Overall, great wine and subpar service.

Loretta Bedell: Met up with my girlfriend for a late bday celebration. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was fantastic! Customer service was wonderful. I also enjoyed the mango mimosas

Nicole Manuel: The tasting menu has shrunk so much it's extremely disappointing. The wine menu in general has shrunk. Overall prices went up, but value, portion size and selection has gone down. We miss the old days as the overall experience has completely changed! The staff can't even tell you about the wine you're tasting / ordering. We remember when the staff used to be able to talk to us about what we liked and were able to taste and order amazing wines - we miss this!! To round off the evening as we were finishing up we had 3-4 mice running around the second floor dinning space with us. We used to come here all the time pre- COVID and even when they first re-opened... but now with this decline overall - especially with the lack of wine variety paired with the experience we doubt we'll be back.

Jennifer Nolen: James was phenomenal!!!!! The food was well seasoned and filling. The wine tasting by all female wine makers was excellent!!!! Definitely recommend the Sonoma Burger and Blackened Chicken Tartine.

Flight Wine Bar: what do users think?

Nikkicole8890: My boyfriend took me here for dinner while I was visiting DC for the first time. The food was absolutely amazing! We also loved our flights of wine.. the only complaint we had was that they automatically added a 20% tip. We felt like for the service we received, he wanted to tip more but since the tip was automatically added we felt like it took away from our server in the end. But we loved the ambiance and our experience! The risotto balls (Arancini) were absolutely AMAZING 👏

Chris Taylor: I only had a flight (as the namesake suggests) and some charcuterie, but I really enjoyed both. The wine was great, the server was helpful and fun, and the food was a great addition to the taste wine. A great spot for anyone who wants a good sip of wine downtown.

Bob Spence: Outstanding Customer Service! By the Glass Wine Selection is the most diverse and unique I have found at a boutique wine bar. You must try this place. Everytime I am in DC this is on my list to enjoy.

Ankesh Madan: Kabir and Swati have created a beautiful, elegant space that is staffed by knowledgeable and engaging staff, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. We worked with Flight's team to organize a larger event (20-25 people), and they were communicative, accommodating, and overall a delight to work with. Their wine/grappa selection was especially well curated, but their French Connection was also a standout from their cocktail menu. Same goes for their burrata. Highly recommended to all looking to host an event, or just for a normal night out!

Savannah Boylan: Amazing wine bar with some of the best wine selections in DC and an amazing and knowledgeable staff. Plus, their food is absolutely outstanding! I love to come here for dinner and highly recommend their fried chicken and a side of their potatoes! If you come to Flight, come for the drinks and stay for their food. I can’t wait to be back!

Scott Besemann: Great vibe and friendly staff. Red Wine flights were fun but a little light on punch. Some even tasted like grocery store wine. Food was incredible...salmon has a great crust and cooked perfectly..however, I would have liked some kind of seasoning on it. Hummus plate was delicious with the brussel sprouts as the star. $3 bread was not really worth it. Light on portion so I'd would have rather passed on it.

Siddharth Gore: Awesome pre-selected wine flights with info cards. Wide wine selection. Will be back!

Katarina Lindberg: Perfect spot for a wine flight and ambient conversation. Stopped in only for the wine. The Cahors Malbec was the best Cahors wine I've had (better than the Prince Consort du Danemark Cahors wine). Next time we will have dinner too 🙏.

Sara Jansen: Fiona made this experience amazing, very knowledgeable about the wine and just a joy to chat with. Great personally. Im not a white wine person usually and she got me to get the Kruger-Rumpf, Estate Riesling. It was a great wine that paired lovely with out cheese platter! She’s amazing and suggest you recommend her when you come here.

Tim Smith: I truly enjoyed this place especially the wonderful staff and their outstanding service and attitude. Came in late, about 45 min before closing and had time for only a glass or two. The environment was open and comfortable and had lots of small tables. I can imagine if crowded the place may be loud but fortunately it was nearly empty so made for a quiet experience. The wine list was varied and provided enough choices to please nearly any wine drinker. The best part was the crew didn't try and hustle me out the door as it got close to closing. In fact, they said if you stay a little after to finish, it's totally fine. That is almost unheard of and so impressed me. I'll be going back for that kind of attitude alone even though the wine was great.

Slate Wine Bar: what do users think?

Daisy de Santiago: Slate is no Xiquet. Same chef but different experience for us. We loved Xiquet. Slate — not so much. The octopus was tough. The wagyu was just okay. And the cheesecake wasn’t good at all. Our server was just okay, too. The whole evening felt like a flop. Maybe it was just one of those times where they just couldn’t hit the mark; but, that they generally offer a great dining experience. It was a two-star experience. The third star is there because Xiquet does carry some weight. And I’d like to give the chef the benefit of the doubt. I’ll give Slate some time and try them again.

Viv C.: Top notch service and great dining environment. Cannot say that about the good though. Our pork shoulder was very salty… the pairing source was delicious though.

M Duncan: This place is a hidden gem serving up tasty cocktails and Michelin-quality food. The atmosphere is smart and trendy and the service is excellent.

Yovan Diaz Reyes: I would give more than 5 stars if I could. The establishment is amazing and service top notch. Gabby was our server (highly recommended as server). She is so knowledgeable and charismatic. Very professional throughout the service. Following that, we had Nicole serving us our food. She was on point with food information and description as well as the wine pairing. Sophie came by as well to check on us and provide us with more wine highlights. Overall, an it was an amazing experience. I appreciate their hard work and knowledge so please always be kind to your servers. Their time and knowledge matters. Will definitely be back, amazing sport and 100% recommend to wine lovers and people 21+ years.
Response: Thank you for your kind review! We're so glad to hear about the exceptional service you received from everyone! Looking forward to hosting you again in the future.

Miguel Garza: Service was great and I'm a big fan of their window seating. The bar itself is very small, but I bet this would be a great place to bring a date. Not too expensive, but somewhat classy. I did not order their food, but I saw a couple dishes and it looked/smelled amazing, so would definitely be interested in coming back to try.
Response: Thanks so much Miguel- we would love to have you back any time!

Akbar Yahya: Went there for the desserts but ended up having the 3 course menu. The brownie fudge was well done and served just right tho could use more textures. Tres leches was nicely done but very fruit forward
Response: Thank you for the review and the pictures!

Sha Mar: They recently opened and the place is very nice! The owner is a Portuguese guy and the food are very tasty! The only downside is the food price is very expensive in compare to portion size and quality! But if you just want to try tasty food and the price is not important here is your place.

Bayley Wivell: Horrible - refused to refund the $40 deposit associated with our reservation even though we explained on the phone, as well as via email, that both members of the party tested positive for COVID-19. Received horrible service on the phone and was dismissed quickly via email. Cannot believe this restaurant would rather contribute to the spread of COVID at the risk of its community rather than refund $40 for service that was never provided. Was excited to dine here but thoroughly disappointed by all this especially during unprecedented times.

Daniel Hashimoto: Absolutely delicious. Tried their four course tasting menu with wine pairing. The seafood paella was incredible. Huge portion with lots of shrimp, clams, and a large prawn. Bursting with flavor. My friend had the tuna poke as an appetizer and the tuna was perfectly seasoned with what I believe was a teriyaki based sauce. The wine pairings were also excellent with great selections of both white and red wine from various regions across the US and Europe.

Irene Toporovskaya: Amazing tasting menu experience! We tried the Saffron Tour and every single dish was fantastic and so well paired with the drinks. Cocktails were delicious, very attentive service and just a wonderful experience overall. Highly recommend!
Response: Thank you so much for the wonderful review. We are happy to hear you truly enjoyed the Saffron Tour experience as well as our cocktails and service. We look forward to hosting you in the near future.

Bistrot Lepic & Wine Bar: what do users think?

Lina Bazensky: Excellent ambiance and customer service! Delicious food! We received a gift to go try Bistrot Lepic and scheduled a reservation for a Wednesday night which happens to be Jazz Night! The band offered a great environment through their music. Highly recommended!

Michael X: I ate here for the first time, their bread is very crispy, and the taste of other specialties will be bitter in my personal experience, maybe I am personally surprised! Garlic snails are still good, the final soup and bread is a very good companion 🧑‍❤️‍💋‍🧑

Shaoqi Fan: We reserved a table for valentines dinner. Very nice environment and service, wide selection of dishes, taste authentic. They ask for ID and vaccine proof before you go in.

john callf: This is a rare moment when you come across a restaurant which transports you through the simple passion of a Chef. A chef who would appear to know what he is doing. We have eaten around the world and tasted street food to 3 star Michelin. So when i say this is now one of our favorite restaurants i am reflecting on an evening where everything tasted exactly like a really good French brasserie in Paris should do. Just good, well prepared flavorsome food and just the right size portions. Highly recommended

Besart Ç.: Everything was overall good. The confit de canard was delicious but felt like the price was too steep. Other local French spots of similar price range charge significantly less for the dish. I heard the Wednesday Jazz nights are fun so I intend on returning.

HAL Deiri: A hidden gem, a must visit for French soul food and great service. The Fricassée mushroom was addicting and wine was top notch. The only thing that could have better was the butter…it should have been room temp. but that’s just me nitpicking

Chanelle Green: They make one helluva Old Fashioned! Good bartender- provided water without even asking.

David Krinsky: Well-prepared classic French food in a cozy space. Everything is excellent, but the tarte à l'oignon and the veal kidneys deserve special mention.

Guillaume NICOLAS: Great authentic food, very reasonable prices for the quality. Expensive wine list but you can access very exclusive bottles for a good price.

Conor Mulvey: Simply great French food. Considering it's close to Georgetown, the prices are reasonable. For several glasses of wine, appetizer, entree and a shared dessert is was about $100 per person. I went for my anniversary and I would definitely go back. Several of the tables there where conversing in French which I always take as a good sign.

City Winery DC: what do users think?

LaShunda G: We went last night to see Lyfe Jennings and it was great, food too but short staffed but our waiter DJ was very patient even though the chef was super backed up he kept coming to see if we needed anything. But the venue was nice. There is one thing I didn't like though 😕 we got to our table at 6:45pm and we couldn't order food at all, so we had to go downstairs to eat after Lyfe finished singing.
Response: Shun - We really appreciate you visiting us at City Winery DC and taking time to share this feedback. I apologize for the delay as we never want to keep our guests waiting. I will speak with my team about your review, and if there is anything that I can do to assist you, please let me know. Thank you, Michael Ware - General Manager - mware@citywinery.com

Cherill R. Ashton: Loved seeing and listening to the Chuck Brown Band at City Winery, Washington, DC! The ambiance was amazing. They did get our orders mixed up and never brought out half of the food but the music and vibe was so good that I won't take off but one star. We'll give them another shot to get it right as we want to go back for other artists. But they do really need to get the food orders straight. The show ended and some people in our party was never served.
Response: Hi Cherill - Thank you for reviewing City Winery DC and leaving us your feedback. We are glad that you enjoyed the music, but we do apologize for the mix-up with your food. We will be sure to improve for you next time and earn those five stars. See you then!

Angela Melito: First time here and really liked it. Think The Birchmere if it was really nice. They did screw up my friend's food order (her food never came but her wine did) but when we said something they apologized and refunded her whole order, including the wine. We paid for "Zone A" and I would definitely do that again, it was really nice to be so close.

Elizabeth xyz: Nice David Hollister concert. Waistrees came to our table after we ordered to explain how to order. Not a great place for a concert especially since we were packed together with no elbow room. My friend thought we paid for a specific table but we were later moved somewhere else. I think if a person is expecting to sit somewhere specific it should be honored and not moved at company's discretion. Wings were ok. Mushrooms were spectacular. Had a daiquiri listed on online ordering but doesn't make anymore. The spritz with the titos vodka was really good. The ketel drink was good too.
Response: Elizabeth - Thank you for reaching out. We want our guests to enjoy their concert in a comfortable atmosphere and I apologize that your table was changed. I will bring these issues to my team so that we can take steps to improve. If there is anything further that I can do to assist you, please don't hesitate to get in touch. Hope Calhoun - Training Manager - hcalhoun@citywinery.com

Nisha Thomas: We visited this venue to see a live band. The band was amazing. We arrived early to make sure we had good seats in front with a clear view of the stage. To sell more tickets, the manager brought more chairs and tables out later during the show so our view of the band was blocked during the second half of the show. The kitchen offered a very limited menu and it was almost impossible to get our waiter to come back to our table. We waited almost 20 minutes just for water. When he did take our order, he’d leave items off or write down the order wrong. 5 stars for the entertainment and 0 for the service.
Response: Nisha, I am sorry to hear that we did not earn your five stars. We strive to deliver a seamless experience for our guests, and it is never our intention to inconvenience them. I assure you that we will use this feedback to improve our practices moving forward. If there is anything more we can do to assist you or better your visit, please feel free to reach out to me directly. Thank you, Michael Ware - General Manager - mware@citywinery.com

Rocky: Very cool place. We went for a candlelight Christmas Jazz concert and it was so good. The jazz band was amazing. The singer had such a smooth voice and sang the Christmas songs immaculately. Tip: If we were to go back, I would sit at the high top tables closer to the bar. It would be more intimate and nobody right next to you. Thesr seats would be good since there really isn't a bad spot to sit in the place. Finally, my only complaint would be how close the tables and chairs are and how uncomfortable the seats are. Besides that it was a great evening.

Shanon L.: Shockingly bad service. I felt bad for recommending the venue. According to friends, service was excellent prior to the shut down. That’s not the case now. We arrived a little after 6 pm (tix said doors open at 6 pm). We were told “they” were running behind and we could have a seat until they notified us the doors were open. We were sitting in the bar area downstairs but there was no bartender. We were ushered upstairs about 6:25 pm and told we were the first to arrive but could order our drinks and food through the app. Every staff member we spoke to made it seem like we were inconveniencing them. We scanned the qr code and there was no option to order food. We sat there another 15 minutes before we were finally able to flag someone over. We’d seen about 6 staff members upstairs just talking amongst themselves across the room. One walked by and said he’d find a server to help us and we never saw him again. Gary walked over and introduced himself. He was mumbling and we could barely understand a word he was saying. He kept telling us we should be able to order using the app, and I pulled it up on my phone to show him it wasn’t working. Then, he leaned over and grabbed my phone from me. He smelled absolutely putrid and I guessed he was either high or intoxicated. It was so gross - and I was wearing a face shield the whole time. My partner had on a mask. We both smelled him. Gary kept saying he’d take care of us, but we had to request everything like 3x. He told us we should know which wine we preordered for the table. But, what was the point of reserving a bottle if they don’t keep track of it? Another staff member approached to tell us she just “turned it on” and we could order food now. We were confused as to why everything was so unorganized and slow. A party of 4 older women walked in and sat at the table behind us. I was surprised to hear Gary make a lewd joke, which I found gross - but that party didn’t seem offended. It definitely wasn’t professional. Later, we heard the same party yelling at Gary over the bill. They asked to bypass the app and use physical menu’s for him to take their order. Big mistake. Apparently, the bill was incorrect. They wound up leaving early. The food was good and we enjoyed the performance, but we were ready to get out of there asap. Terrible service, and not worth the price for a subpar experience.
Response: Shanon, thank you for taking the time to share. I am really sorry that you didn't have a better visit here. We strive to make the food and drink ordering process seamless, but clearly, we're still working out some kinks in the system. I apologize that our team wasn't more professional--we always want the most for our guests, and we let you down. We'll discuss your feedback with our team, and if we can do anything else for you, please let us know. Best, Hope Calhoun - Training Manager - hcalhoun@citywinery.com

Yolanda Fraction: The Pros: Many thanks to our waiter, Gary. He made sure we had drinks as soon as we sat down and he provided awesome service. I almost didn’t book tickets because of many of the poor, recent reviews. But, I’m glad that I did. The performance by Tony was phenomenal. The service and food was not at all bad, perhaps, significant improvements had been recently made? The Con: The one thing that I did not like was how crammed in everyone is. I’d pay “double” to have more room. It’d be nice if they had an option where you could have a half a table to yourself as the high top tables were all taken. That will be my main reason for not returning soon is that with COVID, even though everyone is required to show their full proof of vaccination it still makes me uncomfortable to be that close to someone that I don’t know, especially given breakthrough cases are more possible now than ever. The venue is pretty awesome, I remember it from when it was “Love” many moons ago. They did a great job with completely redoing the building in that sense. It’s very classy.
Response: Yolanda - Thank you so much for visiting us at City Winery DC and taking time to share this feedback. I'm so glad that you enjoyed the show and the service you received from Gary. I do apologize if you were at all uncomfortable. We will keep your review in mind moving forward, and I hope you consider coming back in the future. Mark Pearson - General Manager - mpearson@citywinery.com

Tiffany “NewlyNatural” J: The Almost Ladies Night was ok. The preshow was fun. The DJ and her co-host were funny and very entertaining. The massages by Hands in Motion were amazing! Thanks to Darrel and Gabby for that. The food was hit or miss. We order the duck tacos, crab cakes, brussel sprouts, mushroom goat cheese risotto balls, and cauliflower. For dessert we had the dark chocolate mousse and the s'mores lava cake. Drinks we had the two of a kind and something else. There were a few things that I really liked....the Crab cakes were awesome with no filler but they could have kept the corn salsa that comes with it . The cauliflower was spicy and crispy. They were very good. The risotto balls were really good as well. My best friend said the duck tacos were flavorful but the brussel sprouts were lacking flavor.
Response: Tiffany, While I am happy to hear you enjoyed your night with us, I apologize some aspects of your dining experience left you wanting more. I assure you we will use this as an opportunity to improve as we are always appreciative of our customer's feedback. I hope we get another chance to impress you again, and in the meantime, if there is anything else you'd like to discuss, I welcome you to reach out to me when you have a moment. Best, Hope Calhoun - Training Manager - hcalhoun@citywinery.com

S. Seitz: Great venue! Very intimate. Not a bad seat in the house. Very friendly staff. The reason I did not give five stars is b/c their food/drink service left much to be desired. The food was good. The drinks were good, but receiving your order was a mess. The table numbers are on wine bottles in the middle of the table. I get it looks nice, but it's not functional. The table number gets covered since the bottle is in the way, the servers can't see the number, so items are just being delivered randomly. It has to be costing this establishment money to have to remake orders that are delivered incorrectly. It seems every table around me had the same issue. Maybe they can find something to affix on the table to help the staff and make the experience better.
Response: Thank you for reaching out. While I'm glad that you enjoyed the show, I apologize for the issues with our service. We want our guests to receive the food and drinks they ordered in a timely manner. This feedback will help us improve, and I hope you consider coming back in the future. The Pursuit Wine Bar & Kitchen: what do users think?

Sidd O.: Met my friend for dinner here. We had the bruschetta trio for an appetizer. Had a yummy mocktail and the lamb chops. It was seasoned well and really succulent. For dessert I had the lemon tart and that was delicious also. I would give it 5 stars but my friend asked for well done steak and it was still red and bleeding. Also they charged her $10 for a glass of lemonade. Just FYI 23% gratuity is added to every bill.

Napoliya Pal: Our server Lola was amazing! She made our experience a great one and kept our child entertained. Thank you! Pasta was delicious and fresh. We definitely will be back again.

Brianne Fischer: We popped in for a cocktail. Loved the atmosphere, bartenders were friendly and knowledgeable, and the drinks tasted great. We got the margarita and the Elizabeth Taylor. We will come back again. They do indicate gluten free items on their menu, and there were a few that looked good. Best to check the menu online before going.
Response: Thanks for sharing your experience and the generous review. We look forward to seeing you again soon! We'll have some fresh new Margaritas coming up for Cinco de Mayo!

J C: Our Waitress was very friendly, had good conversation, and the food was good. Some stuff was a little salty but the water helped. The waitress was one of the best part of the experience. There was good music, great vibe, and a nice atmosphere. There is a very good smelling spray hand sanitizer on each table. They have metal straws! There is some space in the front that would be great for a live band to play that would make it real nice and chill on a Friday night or Sunday afternoon.

Latisha Corbin: By far my favorite wine bar. They just accommodated me and they definitely didn’t have to. Very grateful. The garlic shrimp, pesto pasta and bubbles bubbles bubbles are my favorite things to get. My bf and I meet up here at least 3-5 times a month. You won’t be disappointed.

Rasmus Munksgaard: Went here yesterday with my girlfriend, and we we had a mixed experience. We had reserved a table for 8:30, but were put temporarily in the bar until a table would open. It did, an hour later. In the bar we had to wait twenty minutes for someone to take our first order. Finally, when seated our food arrived separately. The pasta started getting cold while we waited 15 minutes for the paella. Apart from the disorganization the food and wine was good, and service was pleasant. The 170$ tab just didn't feel right in light of the disorganization, however.

Mayra Rivera: Robby provided amazing service at the bar. HeRecommended the carbonera, which was delicious! The cocktails were unique and catered to your palette! Overall it was an amazing experience, can’t wait to return!!!

Carlos Duany: I took my mom here for mother's day and it was a fantastic experience. The food was amazing. We had the chorizo in wine and the blue crabbed stuffed shrimp for appetizers. The bechemel sauce the shrimp came in was absolutely delicious. I had a pasta entree which was very well done. The pasta was freshly made in house and the pesto sauce with pretty damn good. Finished it off the lemon tart which was the perfect end to a great meal.. Everything on the menu looked very appetizing. I wish I had room to try everything on it.

Megan Ullo: This is a great localspot for wine tasking and homemade pasta. The inside is trendy and comfortable and opens up to the out patio in nice weather.
Response: Thank you for the lovely feedback!

Kevin Haffey: The Pursuit was great! The food and drinks were spectacular as was the service. The bartenders had several recommendations that we would not have picked out ourselves and they were great. We will definitely be back!

Barcelona Wine Bar: what do users think?

Eva Milstein-Touesnard: This food was SO good and the bread is house made fresh and complimentary! 😉 so you know we got LOTS of bread. Also, the price wasn’t too bad for dine in! The wine was also really good. And such an amazing vibe inside and outside. Overall loved it!

Nik Rama: Barcelona is always an amazing chain of restaurants to get high quality drinks and tapas. The four of us were quickly seated and ordered several tapas and drinks. The tapas were incredible (I forgot to take photos and only got one…). Empanadas were super tender and savory on the outside while encased in a crispy exterior. The other crispy fried appetizers with with cheese and meats were unique and delicious in their own ways. The view of the street from this restaurant is also great. You can watch the bustle of the city go by while enjoying the cool and shaded seating of this restaurant. The only reason for the 4 stars is because it’s a zoo here. So many people trying to come eat here leads to long lines and people loitering outside. Make sure to come during a non-peak hour to enjoy this experience itself!

Анжела Четина (Сексолог и психолог): Visited Washington from DC for two days and I am happy o could come to this cozy restaurant. In December I could eat outside thanks to heaters which is amazing, food is good quality, big variety of choices. Amazing ambiance, small piece of Spain 🇪🇸 tasty, stuff is friendly and smiling, wine is also high quality with an incredible smell. Highly recommend that place !

Erick Vivas: The food is very good! The place is beautiful but too loud! I was very happy with the tapas. All of them simply delicious.

Jay Law: Although we got seated immediately, on a Saturday nonetheless, service was slow. Now, that doesn’t take away from quality of the food but it’s definitely hinders your experience some. Which the said, the tapas style menu items are perfect for someone who like to taste and try different foods. The drinks were great and vibe was on point.. plus, it’s patio is great for afternoon eating and people watching in DC.

Alex Gonzalez: Amazing atmosphere and the Sangria is by far the best we have had. For food we had the charcuterie and the meats and cheese we had were absolutely amazing. It seems to us that they have very fresh ingredients. The staff was very friendly and service was top notch. It’s worth checking out if you live here or are from out of town and want an enjoyable dining experience. We highly recommend it. Edit 1. I forgot to talk about the bread. The freshest bread I have had at any restaurant.

Mica Ann: I’ve tried Barcelona Wine Bar when vacationing in Denver and our experience was rather intimate. It was definitely a shock for me to not only have an extremely crowded bar but also too loud of a music you cannot even hear yourself giving the order. Server recommended two to three tapas per person which is about right. We ordered ten tapas and the only ones I remembered are: patatas bravas, shishito peppers, boquerones (sardines), mussels, ham croquettes, shrimp in garlic, and half paella seafood. We just came back from Spain two weeks ago and all of the tapas we ordered are very much comparable in taste, quality, serving size, and price. So I am very happy about that. The place is extremely packed when we came in at 10:15pm with a reservation. The service is rather slow. I think our waiter has way too many tables for him to handle. The manager actually served our first round of tapas and got our order drinks. I was very impressed that he remembered our drinks without writing them. Got me a little bit worried that he got them right because it took a very looong time before our drinks came. But hey, he got them 100% right! Five stars for the really great tapas and good but not great paella. Five stars also for the cocktails and wines we ordered. I’m normally empathetic coz the world is short-staffed. But I think since this is a franchise, they had a choice not too accept too many customers or to hire more help and whatever their choice was, it was not displayed right the night we visited. Less one star for the awful service. This is a wine bar, not a nightclub. Less another star for the too loud music. Make sure you make a reservation especially on weekends and holidays.
Response: Hello, my name is Emily and I am the general manager at the Barcelona wine bar on 14th st. Thank you for taking the time to give us feedback on your dining experience. I would love to chat with you more, at your convenience. My email is ekunda@barcelonawinebar.com- please let me know when you are available to connect. Thanks again- Emily

Rebecca Kert: Virtually everything was a 10/10. The server had super helpful recommendations. The drinks were creative and delicious— especially the guns and rose and bourbon spice. All the tapas we ordered was delicious and the bread was wonderful. Fun atmosphere but still family friendly.

Ivy Chan: You’re paying for the environment. Pricey dishes. I went for brunch and their tapas dishes are small and overpriced. Taste was good but not worth the price. The braised pork was barely 2 pieces and cost $9. Lots of alcoholic drinks to choose from.
Response: Hi Ivy, My name is Danielle Miranda and I am the Assistant General Manager at Barcelona Wine Bar. I am so sorry that you did not enjoy your dining experience. I would like the chance to talk to you and hear more of your feedback. My email is dmiranda@barcelonawinebar.com and I hope to hear from you soon. Regards, Danielle

Miguel Curiel: Popular place with delicious food and drinks. This may not be the best place to have a deep and intimate conversation, but it is a great pick if you’re searching for a youthful ambiance, party-like vibes and some good Spanish meals + wine! Due to its popularity, it is strongly advised to reserve beforehand (tried to walk in once, estimated waiting period was 45 minutes which actually ended up being 2 hours i.e. it is VERY popular and entails lengthy stays).

ChopHouse & Brewery: what do users think?

Syerra Carigo: My husband and I came here for our Valentine’s Day dinner and we were pleasantly surprised! The food here is so delicious! I can’t believe I never stopped in this restaurant before! The spinach dip was amazing! Like we were (shamefully) scraping the plate 😂😂🤦🏾‍♀️ The steaks, equally delicious and cooked perfectly! It was extremely busy, but our waiter remained attentive and served us pretty quickly considering how crazy it was. I’m definitely coming back to this restaurant for dinner again. Very, very good!

Edward Parsons: This was my first time visiting the CH&B and it was worth it. I sat at the bar and the service was better that sitting at a table. The bartender was knowledgeable and made excellent recommendations. Do not let the prices scare you away. My meal was worth every penny.

Safiya Parker: Went here for a birthday celebration. It served about 20 people at one time. Service was as good as it could be serving a number like this. The cornbread skillet was delicious. Everyone reaved about the lamb. I got the burger which was filling. I would return to try this place again.

Adrian Alonso: Very good steaks particularly the bone-in rib eye. Loved the corn bread. The cheesecake was a bit too sweet to my liking. The staff was professional and friendly. Definitely a place I'd come back to for dinner when in Washington.

Mischa: Very nice place with very nice and classic vintage decor, as well as nice food and a few nice house-made beers, but the hamburger was much too expensive in my opinion. Otherwise, all else was great!

Mary Martinez: New from LA and attended a lunch here. Holy moly how can I snag April for my company’s customer service role?! What a server! Great personality, recommendations and a little holiday humor to compliment the meal. The citrus salmon was yummy. I will be back! Check out the holiday decor pic ❤️

Danny Mike: One of the best steakhouses in town. The food: Me and my wife had a New York and a Sirloin stakes with baked potato and mashed potatoes as sides. The meat was medium done and it was very very very succulent and tender and delicious 😋 I highly recommend this place. Bonus: We've received an on-the-house special cornbread kinda pie, which was interestingly delicious The place: Atmosphere was also intimate and not at all crowded (Monday evening) The staff: Our server, Francesca, was spot on with the recommendations, and helping us with what we needed throughout our dinner.

Julius Goros: Hands down had a wonderful experience dining in. We had Lauren as our waiter she was absolutely fantastic.. thank you for such a nice evening making it special for me and my lady. We had the calamari, porterhouse steak and the ribeye.. all were amazing 👏 dinner was really so nice definitely enjoyed it and will be back next time visiting DC.

Edgar Jones: Worth every cent. The steak, the brews, and the ambiance! Had the 18oz BONE-IN RIBEYE black angus, steak butter.

Lincoln Ward: Great food and pretty good service. Great atmosphere.Wife found a piece of glass in her chicken parm sandwich. Manager on duty didn’t seem too concerned. Probably won’t be back.

Reveler's Hour: what do users think?

Harry Cardillo: This place is so amazing I want to keep it to myself. However, I will reluctantly (but enthusiastically) recommend it! I've been gluten free for about 10 years and over that time, have eaten a lot of gf pasta. This was by far the best I've had. And the sauce (pork based) was incredible. I actually had a dream about this food. Thank you for existing, Reveler's Hour!

Ana Fowler: I went in to purchase a bottle of wine the other day. I was immediately helped by an extremely knowledgeable staff member, who provided me 3 options within my price range that fit what I was looking for. Really impressed with the service I received, can’t wait to come back for dinner in the near future! And I came back for dinner finally! The service was impeccable - not only did my server provide excellent meal recommendations and wine pairings, the chef himself brought out every dish personally. Each dish had subtle, yet complex flavors and textures - this unique attention to detail is noticeable. An intimate experience for a special occasion or just a night to yourself, Revelers Hours goes the extra mile in every aspect to make your evening perfect. Can’t wait to come back!

Dan Hopkinson: Reveler’s Hour is a dimly lit Italian spot nestled on Columbia Road in Adams Morgan. If you’re googling the name you probably have heard DC food pundits talking about this place, but let me tell you it crushed my expectations. We had Evan as our waiter who expertly guided us through the menu and even had some fun facts about the wine we picked. Started with the meatballs and the pickle plate (the bread was out of this world and perfect to sop up the remaining ricotta and tomato from the meatballs). Then Evan suggested the Lumache and the special Beef Rib. How could we say no? It is easy for one to forget just how important a perfectly Al dente pasta is, and this place knows how to remind you. The Beef rib was exquisite, and the horseradish salsa verde was to die for. After all that how could we have room for dessert? How could We not? We devoured the Pecorino cake! It was a Revelation (see what I did there). TL;DR: Amazing food, atmosphere, service, and wine selection. A must eat in DC.

Emily Mills: Delicious meal and excellent service enjoyed with friends. The cocktail list is impressive and complex and there is a wine for everyone. Don’t miss the grilled squid and the salt cod agnolotti—delicious! Cozy and fun ambiance that makes you feel at home and relaxed.

Corin Pilo: Wow! Phenomenal meal, wine pairings and excellent, personable service by Miles. (We had the eggplant arancini, Bolognese and a chocolate granache dessert with amaretto cookies.) Everything was amazing, wonderful experience. Don't skip this restaurant and sit in their section if you are in DC!!!

Adam Blackington: We had a phenomenal dinner at Reveler's hour. The craft cocktails are made beautifully and I encourage you to try them all! We started with a tomato basil salad. This salad tossed in olive oil, salt, basil, and pesto sauce was very good. We followed that with an octopus appetizer. While the octopus was very good, it was served lukewarm. It was described as being grilled octopus. It should not have been lukewarm. Nonetheless the flavor was wonderful. We were then served our entrées. We enjoyed a rabbit marsala dish served over arugula pasta. This was a good dish. However did lack some flavor. The sausage Ragu pasta was phenomenal. It was a little salty, but had phenomenal flavoring. I would not have the dessert here again, but that is subjective and my personal preference.

Nikolas G: Wow, what a pleasant meal with incredibly friendly and attentive staff. Service: Upon being seated we were greeted by James who shared some wine recommendations and later sent us a glass of a delicious skin contact wine (pic of label attached). Charlotte, our server arrived shortly thereafter, throughout the meal she made excellent and thoughtful recommendations and displayed the perfect balance of attentiveness and absence when appropriate. Later Bill another sommelier came, by and after a few truly user friendly questions to gauge our preferences brought us three options of "briney" white wines to consider. We ultimately picked the Zwickl Natutrub 2018 which was stunning and went perfectly with the rich flavorful mains. Food: The food matched the service for excellence. Of special note was the stracciatella for appetizers and the salt cod agnoiotti as a main. The preserved lemon in the pork Milanese was a truly special addition to that dish which is also worthy of mention here This was a standout dining experience where the food, wine, and service all ranked solid 5 stars across the board (decor was also very pleasant). This was our first experience at Reveler's Hour but it certainly will not be out last.

George Junca: I don’t often give 5 stars but everything from the food, the drinks and the service are just top notch. Fun ambiance and relaxed atmosphere.

Khalid Brown: Came here for a NYE dinner and will never go back. I got the hot honey chicken (5/10) wife got mushroom pasta (5/10) and we got garlic knots (4/10) and some moose dessert (4/10). On top of that they are adding an automatic 22% surcharge which you only give for exceptional service. Which this was not (again average). Besides the fact that the food was average they implement the vaccine segregation, which DC does not require at this writing. My wife booked this place and if I would have saw that they are ushering in the new segregation then I would not have gone here and given this place our money. If I am going to show I am not one of the unclean I at least want Great food. I would avoid this place. Read history people. Always starts with something small and get more and more totalitarian.

Gina Rivas: I meant to write a review right after our meal - and as usual I forgot. We popped in on a date night a few weeks ago and sat at the bar. The vibe is both upscale and laid back, the bartender was friendly, and incredibly knowledgable on their menu and wines (the wines she recommended to me and my husband were absolute perfection) the food was simple and lovely, and all around the entire experience was just really great. 10/10 one of our new favorite spots in Adams Morgan.

Corduroy: what do users think?

J Taylor: We held a wonderful surprise dinner last Friday. The food was delicious and prepared nicely, compliments to the chef! The ambiance of the restaurant was perfect for our birthday celebration and the staff was phenomenal, especially Natasha!!! Everything was amazing! Thanks to Corduroy for making Friday a special night.

Tatianna Barrett: My family and I ate here for Christmas Eve dinner, and I have to say we were disappointed. While I appreciated the fact that the chef was able to have vegan options (called ahead, of course), in NO WAY did I think it was worth the same price as the regular prix fixe menu items. It was good, but definitely not for the price; should have paid half. The sorbets, unfortunately, tasted like freezer burn. The rest of my family enjoyed their food, so that's good. The big reason why the 2 stars was the service and quality of service. It took an incredible amount of time in between meals to get our next meal. Literally took almost 25 MINUTES to just get our drinks. Additionally, you couldn't really tell who was a server and who wasn't. You could completely tell that the restaurant was really understaffed that evening, and it just showed across the board, and seemed a little chaotic and unorganized. And unfortunately, our "main" server kept blaming other people, circumstances, etc. for the wait time, and ended up having a little bit of an attitude and quite defensive when we brought this up nicely. Listen, we completely understand we're dining in a pandemic and that people call off sick, don't show up, or don't want to work; however, if you're a HIGH END restaurant, despite the circumstances, you must deliver the same quality. And if not, then changes have to be made, such as limit the amount of reservations. And then, when we went to get our coats, the hostess was nowhere to be found; and when found, she was in the kitchen doing dishes. We spent well over 3 hours here, and it wasn't us just enjoying long conversation and the ambience. Unfortunately, it's an "enter at your own risk" type of review.

Morgan Fykes: Had a fabulous time back at Corduroy. The food was delicious and the service was good (poor guy was flying solo cause it was a VERY quiet night) - definitely enjoyed the meal and was glad to be back!!

Scott Plunkett: We just dined here for the Christmas Eve and I thought the experience overall was good with some areas of improvement. The service was acceptable but for the price I would have expected a slightly higher degree of attention to detail. Our waitress couldn’t really describe any dish in detail or how it would be presented when asked, and timing of service was a little odd as well. The first course came IMMEDIATELY, and I mean immediately after ordering before we had even time to butter our bread or take a drink of our cocktail, fine- but then afterwards the second course took a very, very long time to come out after we were done with the first course- just seemed a little odd, nitpicking maybe but I felt a little more continuity in timing would have been nice. We were about half way done with our dinner when someone came and asked if we were done- clearly we weren’t- again maybe too picky of me but there were leftover butter plates and other silverware on the table which weren’t taken away at the same time, just a little odd. Overall slightly slower/less attentive/aware service than I would have expected. But that may just be me using the high bar of DC restaurant service as an unrealistically high expectation. The food I thought was quite good, the tuna tartare and red snapper bisque were delicious. The sauces for each entree were amazing and the cuts of meat were perfectly fine but nothing to write home to mom about. Dessert was also very good. Overall I would recommend this restaurant to a friend and the combination of food and service was reasonable for the price point. Waitress could have known more about food and wine options and service could have been a bit more cohesive/attentive.

Zoe Burger: Best meal I've had in a LONG time. I already want to go back. We had the tuna. I also had the red snapper bisque- amazing. My friend had the beet salad and she enjoyed it. Oh, but that tuna! Perfection! Waitress was helpful and nice but she let us sit a bit too long once we finished. I noticed a faint cigar scent from the shop next door.

Boulder Skywatcher: We were a party of 5 who came to DC for a once in a lifetime celebration. I very much regret having chosen this restaurant for our family celebration. The food was good, but the service was beyond terrible. We waited to be seated (NOBODY at the door to greet guests), we waited 20 minutes for water and menus, our wine glasses stayed empty, our meal service took forever, and we skipped dessert because there was nobody who could be bothered to attend us. Yes, the food was good, but not so good to tolerate such bad service. I am sick of being told restaurants can't get help. Then don't open your doors. You very nearly took the special out of our special occasion, and there is no excuse whatsoever for taking so much of a customer's money and delivering such a terrible experience.

Keren Daniel: An absolute pleasure! All dishes are made from scratch, using the best ingredients, including desserts.

Jeff: So here is the deal. I got a dinner for 2 valued at $120 thru Verizon up program. After making the reservation I took my wife and we went to the restaurant. The restaurant is very nice and quiet with low lighting, it has a modern look to it. The lady who greeted us was super nice and gave us our Verizon up menus. Then came the server. When she saw we had Verizon up menus she looked not so happy. She never introduced herself. She took our order. I ordered green salad that was great. Then Flat iron steak with mushrooms for main course ( she never asked what sides I wanted when the plate can it had potatoes and green beans on it). I did not want to make a scene but anyway the food was excellent. Kudos to the Chef. Then came dessert it was Pistachio bread pudding, which was delicious. Other then the server being standoffish and not coming to check on us the restaurant was beautiful and the food was great.

lynda wright: There were 8 of us All LOVED the food and service. Only down side was the cigar shop next door. The smell was coming into where we sat. Several of the group were absolutely appalled. We do not SMOKE!! Understand the restaurant is trying to work out a solution. But next time we come we will change where we sat. BUT ABSOLUTELY 1 of the best restaurants in DC.

TYG Handyman: One of the best gems in DC. Wine list is great, service is excellent and food is awesome. Never had a bad meal. Chocolate tart, tuna with rice, all the soups just eat everything.

minibar by José Andrés: what do users think?

Cynthia M: Absolutely phenomenal experience!! Husband took me to celebrate my birthday here and not only did we have amazingly delicious food, but the service was impeccable. I also appreciated the fun atmosphere they created for everyone and thought it was really nice being able to sit all around the kitchen and being able to observe the chefs create the dishes. We didn’t do the wine pairing but did order some cocktails, which were also spectacular (they do give you a few for free too!). For my birthday, they served me a cheesecake at the end and were very kind to help us take a Polaroid photo for us to keep! We were also sent home with a delicious milk bread. Absolutely enjoyed this experience and adored this Japanese inspired menu. Thank you for a memorable night, minibar!!

Ashley Evans: The cocktail experience was phenomenal! Such a fun experience for two people. We got the black truffle grilled cheese as a snack - delicious!

By Night We Can Be More: It was awesome! I had no idea that I can taste so much flavors! I am sure we will come back in there. Atmosphere is great, you feel like part of the kitchen, having fun, enjoying the food... It's wonderful experience!

Yolanda Zhou: Everything was beautiful at minibar, even the bathroom. The service, presentation, and overall experience was amazing. The pacing was a little slow but was made up by the chefs plating the dishes right in front of you. My favorites were the corn and caviar, soy chicharron, nori senbei, and strawberry milk. We tried the gin and juice cocktail from barmini, which was wonderful as well.

Jesse: Japanese-inspired chef counter experience. Very elegent and minimal; inventive preparation; and unique and surprising.

Douglas Anderson: Best dining experience in the US. From the staff, to the facility to the food. OUTSTANDING

Angelique Garcia: Such an awesome experience! By far one of the best restaurants in D.C... The only thing is I wouldn’t gave gotten the wine pairing if I had known what I’d be served. Only one red, fairly sweet whites for my palate, and the pours were more of a tasting than a pairing. The food and service were impeccable though. Thank you Minibar chefs and José Andrés!

George Junca: Amazing food and totally fantastic experience, service is totally on point and elevates the dining experience overall. The wine pairings were perfect and really liked some if the playful elements like the bahn mi that looks like is served on roll but is actually made of apple, the chicharron that has no pork, etc.

Matt Watier: Second time here and it was a treat. The real standouts was the lobster and duck egg, and the forest floor mushroom dish. A great example of how modern gastronomy can bring together flavors texture and temperatures that traditionally cooked food can not.

Victor Wang: An out of this world experience with some of the most whimsical and delicious food. Service was very attentive and watching the chefs create art in front of your eyes was magical. Be sure to make reservations as soon as they release them online. The wine pairings all worked perfectly and everyone was extremely knowledgeable.

The Palm - Washington, D.C.: what do users think?

Janice L: Things started put rocky initially because we weren't greeted by anyone on the front, we went around looking for an employee. But after that, our waitress was amazing! I forgot her name, but she was a very tall female with blondish brown hair, loved her! It was our first time there and she was amazingly helpful with the menu. The oysters, steak and salad tasted amazing. It was the first steak I've ever had at a high end restaurant that WASN'T chewy!! We ordered the NY style cheesecake and chocolate cake for dessert. The cheese cake was a bit too sweet for me, but my fiance loved the chocolate cake. Really glad we decided to stop by here during our weekend stay in DC.

Cindee Sheeler: First time visiting for a friends birthday..Was absolutely amazing. Reggie and the staff were attentive, knowledgeable and very personable. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection. Upscale dining with an old world vibe, but not stuffy and pretentious. Reggie and a staff member sang to my friend for her birthday and they were wonderful..

Ryan Arnt: Great food, eclectic atmosphere a Steakhouse that sets the bar high. If you get a chance make sure you eat here.
Response: Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback with us. It means so much when our customers share their experiences. We are glad we were able to meet your expectations! We hope to see you again soon!

rob santiago: It’s a great experience. The ambiance is very welcoming and charming. Amazing wines, food and service. Kylie was extremely knowledgeable and made great recommendations. She understood exactly how I wanted a monkey shoulder rusty nail and that nailed the night for me. I will be back.

Marie A Smith Robinson: The atmosphere of the restaurant is pleasant. The walls are filled with cartoon sketches of notable people. I would not recommend the seafood dishes, we had the calamari and lobster bisque, they were subpar. We sent back the calamari and the lobster bisque was barely warm. Raisin bread was phonmenal. The steak was excellent mashed potato and asparagus accompanied it well.

Jessica Kelley: Requested a high top, and mentioned a true dairy allergy.. aka anaphylactic shocked and they didn’t Acknowledge either.. even though I made a reservation & made sure to mention this. Also was told to bad we are busy for my high top. My drinks took 20 minutes to get as well! Not a good place for date night unless you want disappointment

Nicole Deloney: The chicken parmeson is probably the best I've ever had. My friend had the steak medallions and they were a little spicey but good to me because I love spicey food. Service was good and prompt.

André Hentz: The service, food, and ambiance is fantastic. We recently celebrated our anniversary at The Palm, and will dine there again for sure.

Andre Monette: Zero stars, very disappointed with my experience here. Called at 8:30 to get a reservation and arrived at 8:45 to be told they close at 9:00 and they could not seat 4 people because they are closing. Really not what I would expect out of a place that bills itself as a go to steak house. Food is mediocre at best, will not return. Bummer because I used to enjoy it pre-Covid. This is the worst review I have ever given.

Gentle John: Good food as you would expect. Our waiter seemed a bit distracted
Response: Thank you for your review. We’re glad you had a good experience and hope to see you again soon!

Chez Billy Sud: what do users think?

Alexander O'Neill: Whether for an anniversary, birthday, or date night, Chez Billy Sud is the perfect place to celebrate. A small French bistro in Georgetown, this restaurant has an intimate atmosphere well reflected in its dishes. Every dish on their menu is a winner and you simply cannot go wrong. The poultry dishes are excellent, and I’d recommend pairing with a bottle of wine. The sommelier is hilarious and went above and beyond to help us decide on a pairing.
Response: Thank you so much Alexander!

Besart Ç.: Took my parents here for graduation dinner. Arguably one of the best restaurants in all of DC – and definitely #1 in Georgetown. Everything was so delicious that we had to order a three course meal. Must try: appetizer- Foie de Volaille; main- Confit de Canard (one of the best ever); dessert- can't go wrong with any but we got the Rote au Fromage Basquaise. Drinks: their espresso martini is the most unique, and of the tastiest, I've ever tried. I believe the secret is the coco liquor they use.
Response: Merci beaucoup Besart!

The Soup: Salt Bombs and Burnt Dessert. Onion Soup: Salt Bomb Pork Rillettes: Salt Bomb Fries on the Steak Frites: Salt Bombs Salt is suppose to be a flavor enhancer, not a tongue desiccant. All of that would have been tolerable, if not for dessert. A lot of water helped balance out the rest. My guest (whose birthday we were celebrating) wanted to try a slice of cheesecake. When we asked our wait-person "what kind of cheesecake?" They responded, "Chef's secret". The secret happened to be char. I don't care how much powdered sugar or orange zest you put on a piece of charcoal, it will still taste like ash. When we were asked, "How was your dessert? I stated, "Well, it was burnt". Their response was a giggling, "Yeah, I'm sorry." Look at the picture, we scooped out the dry cheesecake and left the char. It is a disgusting amount of burnt surface. Trash. Do better.
Response: Hi if you would be so kind to reach out to our management about your experience, we would love to speak with you for more details. He can be reached at nicholas@h2-collective.com. Thank you.

Diana Milena Lopez Avila: Amazing good & service. We ordered the leeks vinaigrette for appetizer and the poulet rôti for main course. For dessert we ordered the tarte au fromage. Everything was absolutely amazing.

Ferris B: Wonderful. This was a great little french restaurant in Georgetown. I'd call it a bit of a hidden gem. Very good food & cocktails to match. If you're looking for a great date spot in DC, this should be on the top of your list

Jannat Nain: Just left chez billy and I feel compelled to write this review. We stopped by without a reservation and were accommodated by the staff. The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Torrence (hope I got the name right!) was an excellent server and made sure we were comfortable the entire time. The food was absolutely delicious and exceeded our expectations. We ordered the gnocchi special, the duck, the chicken and the buccatini. The dessert was good too. The ambience was really nice as well. We will be back here again!

Hope Greenleaf: Really cool place! You’ll find a great happy hour, yummy food and drinks, and a fun and knowledgeable staff. The restaurant itself is really cute. There is a little courtyard between two buildings. I prefer to sit at the beautiful wooden bar in the right hand side building. I don’t remember the bartender’s name but he was witty and kind. I definitely recommend Chez Billy Sud!

lucia hostrup: Beautiful French Restaurant in Georgetown . My recommendation is: MOULES-FRITES and LOUP DE MER -Delicious Sea bass. try to get a spot on the courtyard out back.
Response: (Translated by Google) Merci Lucia! (Original) Merci Lucia!

Jamie: so lovely! went here to celebrate with my friends and everyone was very friendly. really enjoyed the diverse crowd and our dinner and drinks were wonderful 10/10

Areen SH*: This place is so cute and cozy and Alamo feels private. The food is always amazing, the staff is very friendly. I would recommend this restaurant for couples or maybe a group of 4 , but not more.
Response: Thanks for joining us Areen! We’re so happy you had such a lovely time.

Barcelona Wine Bar: what do users think?

Ling Qin: Our experience last night was exceptional. The food was delicious and the service and staff were excellent. We liked the informal but and very friendly atmosphere. Noticing that I left my phone at the table after we walked out the restaurant, the general manager Mario Pena immediately ran to us to hand me the phone for which I am very grateful. This is rare gem among the restaurants in the DC area.

Sheryl Winarick: Outside patio last night was perfect for celebrating our best friend’s birthday. The food, as always, was amazing… and it’s been a long time since I felt compelled to compliment a restaurant’s service! Our waitress Mary was like a breath of fresh air. She was kind, helpful and attentive, but she never made us feel rushed… and she gave the best wine recommendations. Thanks Barcelona and Mary for making the night so special!

David Coy: This is the second location I have been to and I am happy to say that both locations do not at all disappoint and set a high bar for a dining experience. Always excellent wine selection and incredible tapas! The chorizo and fig in balsamic vinaigrette is my favorite out of dozens of things I have tried

Ieshia E. Butler: The tapas at Barcelona were all very tasty! The wait staff were also extremely friendly and engaging. Definitely will visit again!

Mehmet Esen: Good tapas & wine bar with a warm atmosphere. The place was packed and the service was quite good. The jamon and the cheese were delicious but not so much the chorizo. The mussels, steak with mini fries, and flan were tasty while we were not thrilled with the mushroom dish. Patatos were a little dry and the eggplant dish was ok. The water smelt chlorine. Overall, we had a 4.5 star experience.

Tan Sav: I think i prefer this location. All the same trappings but more low-key. It definitely has a more welcoming neighborhood feel.

Annya Rangel: I had heard of this place and I can say that it is a great place to eat tapas and have a good time. The service is good, the drinks too, and the tapas are exquisite. The cost seems acceptable to me.

M planetmike: Delicious and lively. Service at the bar is preferred. Wonderful to have a Spanish centered restaurant in this neighborhood. We arrived on an late afternoon, around 5:30PM. There were plenty of tables at the time. Most everything was delicious from the spicy clams, broccolini, and zucchini. Must try is the squid pasta cooked in a paella style.

Katherine Figueroa-Silva: As always, pleasant dining experience. Our server, Lady, was very efficient at meeting our expectations. She was knowledgeable enough of new menu items to explain them to us. Always on cue for whatever we needed on the spot. We were celebrating my daughter's birthday and she had stored our cake until dessert time and took the trouble of bringing it out and sing happy birthday with another server. Only complaint/recommendation would be on the tight spacing between tables and servers layover space. They need some extra space in order to work more efficiently.

Eric Reid: This was our first night in DC after just moving, and WOW! The location is fantastic, with the interior dimly lit for a good date. The service was excellent, top class, especially Mario the manager of the night. The food was fantastic including the charcuterie board and the wine from the adios vino list (half price). Tapas were well prices and delicious. Now living near the cathedral, you can expect us back!

Alexis Wade: We took our kids and it was awesome. The staff was absolutely the best. The food was nothing short of amazing!! Make sure you go on Thursday night, the chef there is amazing!

Jonathan Guez: Seriously some of the best pasta I've ever had. My family has been going here since I was a kid and we have to come back every-time we're in DC. The staff is awesome, the appetizers are on point and I just love everything about this place. They always seem to be trying new things and changing up the menu over the years as well, but in a good way. Couldn't recommend it enough.

LMR: Very Best! Food, Service/Hospitality, Location/Atmosphere. Beauty surrounds in every way... Delicious food, expertly prepared & presented with gracious care, pride, and a wonderful spirit and vibe throughout. It's great to feel special in our favorite place to dine and gather with good friends. 🤗👍🏼🥇🏆

Traviss Green: One of the best Italian fine dining experiences in the city!!! The owner is so personable and gracious. She took my daughters on a private tour of the kitchen!!! We didn't even have to ask! The wine room is a great way to spend an evening with someone special!

Nadine Soga: I love this restaurant. The staff is amazing and I cannot say enough about Christianne- the owner. Had my moms birthday party there and it was spectacular. She made a special cake that was to die for. Thank you for a very remarkable evening!

Ellen Yates: The classiest and best Italian restaurant that I have ever been to. The staff is so accommodating. The owner, Christianne, is on a first name basis with her customers and is on top of everything from the quality of the food to the entire experience. I had fish the last time and it melted in my mouth!

Marisa S: Abominable service!! I love to dine out. I generally only take the time to right positive reviews, but this was so bad that I felt compelled to write. In fact, our experience at I Ricchi was the worst restaurant experience I've had in my 56 years of dining out. My husband and I went for our anniversary. We made reservations 6 weeks in advance and explained the occasion to them. When we arrived, we were told that our table was not ready and we would have to wait. Shortly after that, another couple arrived and were greeted. When asked if they had reservations, they responded with no and were told it was no problem. They were immediately whisked to a wonderful table. We waited 15 minutes before finally being squeezed into a table so tight that I doubt the fire marshall would approve. Passing waiters and bus boys literally KNOCKED me in the HEAD three times before my husband changed spots with me. No one once took notice or apologied. It was appalling. The food is at best alright. I am Italian and understand Italian cuisine, dining, and service customs. This was nothing short of shameful. Shameful for them - and shameful for us. I'm ashamed that we didn't walk out in the middle of dinner.

Vlad Tomsa: Overall it was a disappointing experience, for several reasons. The food itself is average to good depending on the dish (octopus salad was good, the one with Mozarella ok, and the cod and milanese are ok to good), though if you're looking for an authentic Italian restaurant this is not it. We had a Groupon that specified everything was included, no mention of any extra charges, and the menu there actually had extra charges for several items. When we talked to the waiter about it, he said that per the owner they can add additional 8$ charges even if not included in the Groupon itself, which was very disappointing. Also, the bill had a DC Groupon sales tax that I never heard of, and we used other coupons in DC, we felt like they were trying to nickel and dime us. We did like the setting and the service was prompt and friendly, but it doesn't justify the food quality and the issues they gave us with the Groupon.

thomas braden: Absolutely delicious food - and that comes from two foodies who lived in Naples, Italy for half a dozen years! "Molto buono" as they say! We had dined here the other night, as my wife had purchased a groupon for our up-coming anniversary, but then we learned that DC was making drastic changes to dining in, due to covid, so we rushed in. The inside was warm and inviting - tables were set apart and wait staff stayed well away, while wearing masks and gloves the entire time. The focaccia was served in individually wrapped portions, and was tasty, full of texture and a perfect accompaniment to our meal! We both had the scallops and mushroom appetizer, which I thought was delightful, especially as I had never before seen such a pairing. Coupled with just a few pieces of gnocchi to give it some substance, I thought it was perfect. I had the rigatoni for my main dish and it was perfect - if I closed my eye, I could have been in Tuscany! My wife had the veal milanese (a more northern italian dish - akin to german weiner schnitzel) and really enjoyed it, complaining that they had given her too much food! For dessert, I had the house specialty, cheesecake, which was crusted with nuts and very tasty, yet unlike any other cheesecake I've ever had. My wife had the semifreddo and raved about the wonderfully delicate layers of strawberry goodness the entire ride home. I almost forgot to mention, our waiter has worked at THIS SAME restaurant for 14 years. Suffice it to say, he knew the menu and his recommendations were spot-on! ALSO, this was the best (maybe the only?) place that we have been and not treated like second class citizens for using a groupon!! If you like great Italian food - this is your place! We'll certainly be back!!

Mary Miller: My sisters, neices, daughter and granddaughter gathered in DC for the Women's half marathon and 8K on Sunday May 1st. We dined at I Ricchi the night before. They not only accommodated the 12 of us in a semi private seating, but the food was outstanding! From the caprese salads, calamari, tortellini (get the sage butter sauce....to die for!), rigatoni, fresh fish, lobster risotto, tomato bread to the spectacular wine pairings to the delicious desserts (try the semifredo...yum!), we enjoyed every moment. Our wait staff was knowledgeable and attentive to our every need (not easy to do with 12!). It felt like Italy, a dining experience that was unrushed and every mouthful a pure delight. Make it your next dining adventure when in DC; you won't regret it!
