This has been the best part of my experience. It makes up for what I went through to get the place ready for Sean. I ended up working on turning over the property on my own which took a long time. It was great working with Sean. I will do it again on the next opportunity.

Tim and Cindy Jacobson: I’ve been working with Sean Donahue for the last month or so after listing my house for sale, knowing we would rent our multi family units if they didn’t sell at a decent price. Sean was patient throughout the process and answered every question in a very timely fashion, including weekends. Charlie Smith: Professional, highly responsive, and a pleasure to rent from! Columbia Property Management were professional and transparent from the first tour of the apartment, providing a smooth and responsive experience through negotiating the lease, moving in, and beyond! The digital infrastructure they have set up for managing payments and work requests is easy-to-use, reliable, and fast; initial replies to work requests for our apartment always came back in 24 hours or less! When all else fails, their office team is prompt and friendly in responding to emails.

Lucy Mugford: The team at Columbia Property Management is very easy to work with and have great communication. Teasa took time to walk us through things and answer any questions, and Scott went out of his way to meet us to drop off our security deposit. We are grateful to be working with them at our new rental!

Cornelia Baciu: Profesional, responsive, good value! I rented an apartment with CPM for eleven months in Washington DC. Perfect location, in Foggy Bottom, near Potomac River Walking Path and a few bloks away from the White House. I moved to DC from Europe and I was extremely excited to be able to move in the apartment just two or three days after applying - so quick!. Everything was excellent during the entire stay in the apartment. Scott Blum and his team were very responsive. I was extremely happy that I was able to extend the rent for another month, as I was not able to move out at the date scheduled originally -- given that my return flight to Europe was cancelled at short notice due to Covid-19. This meant a lot to me. Overall, five stars, I recommend this company!

We have been tenants at one of their properties for the past 5 years and I have nothing but positive things to say. I will just give you a snippet of the good things that have happened. One week after our newborn was brought home our fridge would not close and seal; on a Sunday night they sent over a technician who fixed it immediately. Over the summer our air conditioner was leaking (this was during 100+ heat indices), again on a weekend, they sent a technician over who was professional and fixed our problem immediately. Every time we have had an issue or a question about our lease or what to do they have been responsive and professional. It has been such a pleasure to have been a tenant at the property and I would highly recommend this property management company!

Mychelle Williams: I have been utilizing this space since August. All the staff are friendly and very helpful. The free coffee and tea and waiting room really enhance my experience. The location and rate for rental literally cannot be beat and trust me I have looked. I just wish that we had our own parking garage or discounted garage.

Light Warrior 2.0: Saffold & Associates has been a long time (10+ years) and loyal customer of OSI. The virtual office model was great while we were building the business and clientele. Once we outgrew the virtual office model we decided to rent full time offices on the 1629 K Street 3rd floor suite. The offices are well-maintained and cleaned daily with a professional cleaning service. The ladies at the front desk make our client feel welcome and are excellent at receiving evidence and payments from clients. Finally, the location (Farragut Square) and amenities (high-speed printer/copier/internet) cannot be beat!

When looking for an new place of resident, Mr. Wardell, went above & beyond to make sure I found the right apartment for me. The process was very quick & easy. Dominique Gebru: DC’s housing market is tough. As a renter, it can feel like your options are overpriced luxury or old, not updated units that include terrible management service. Fred A. Smith seems to be the exception. We found a perfect-for-us unit in the heart of Columbia Heights managed by FAS, with a price tag that didn’t make me want to cry. The leasing process was simple and didn’t require tons of trips to their office. FAS has integrated a tenant portal for rent and repair requests, and our repair requests were always handled promptly. The company is pretty no-frills, but was perfect for our needs. I have an ESA dog, and they processed that paperwork quickly. I’d wholeheartedly recommend using FAS to find your new apartment.

Sabrina Brogren: Had a great experience renting from Fred A. Smith company! The unit was as advertised and reasonably priced. They were always extremely responsive to emails (we heard back within 1-2 business days), and when necessary, they sent over maintenance folks who were clearly very experienced. I even once let them know that the stove had a cracked knob that caused it to not work very well, and they quickly had a new one sent over. Move in and move out was smooth, and everyone we interacted with was kind and professional.

After several disappointing attempts to connect with other recommended property managers, BJ and his team blew me away! Not only did they meet my criteria, but they were personable and helped me get a client into their system and a lease issued to a tenant in record time. We pulled it off, only because they knew what they were doing and they did it impressively well. I will be recommending them to future clients and my wider brokerage. They are the real deal!

Lori Pitts: My partner and I enjoyed looking for apartments through this company. They were responsive, courteous, and very communicative throughout the application process. We looked at one apartment and then the woman who showed us the place was able to recommend another place we might like. She even drove over and showed us immediately. It ended up being one of our top choices! She was never pushy though and let us really get a feel for the place without rushing us. Once we applied, they were in constant communication with us about next steps and were able to get back to us quickly when we wanted to negotiate with the owner. We ended up choosing another apartment for unrelated reasons, but this was by far a MUCH smoother experience. I will say it’s quite a process to sign up to go see an apartment with them (they need a picture of your drivers license and you fill out a mini application basically), but overall, we had a great experience with RPM and would definitely look through them again!

Out back also had something like a bird house but for me can be used as my go to to get a little piece of mind out doors away from others. The master bedroom was spacious but i didn’t understand why it had a half bathroom instead of a full bathroom. An what i least liked about the property was that there wasn’t a bathroom at all in the basement which could’ve been that half bathroom that was in the master bedroom. The guy that showed the house very nice an also helped answered a few of my questions. But overall I loved it an I’m not a big fan in SE period but that part was clean & quiet.

Allen Rav: Trever at Atlas Lane have been amazing at managing my property and taking great care of my tenant. The communication is quick and professional, the monthly statements are accurate and the team is very responsive in taking care of repairs. As an out of state landlord, managing my own property from afar has been a challenge for the past 5 years and I only wish I had decided to use their services sooner.

Steve Leinwand: In the 19 years that our condo building has been downtown DC, we have had 4 different management firms. It is easy to assert that, for the past 3 years, Roost has been by far the most helpful, responsive and competent. Our property liaison, Jason Lewis, knows our building, knows our Board, and consistently meets our needs and supports our work.

Paul Feser: As a board member for our condo, I’ve had a very positive experience working with Jason Lewis, Director of Client Success, and Nancy Salgado, Client Experience Assistant. We chose Roost in the fall of 2021; during this time, they worked with the board in transitioning from our prior property management company. Jason has been quite helpful: guiding the board through the budget process, helping us better understand the governing documents and board processes, providing the board with advice, and working with vendors to get bids. Being on any board can be a challenge. And Jason brings the experience – and the knowledge base – that I find both helpful and heartening. I’m very happy with Nancy’s prompt responses on my requests. Her communications are always professional and cordial. For instance, just recently we were experiencing an issue with our laundry room. In her response, she offered a solution to help guide the direction we should take. Nancy also updated the board on an issue with garbage/recycling pickup, and the steps Roost took to have them provide better service. Additionally, Nancy has been responsive on requests that I’ve made for my own unit. As an added benefit of being with Roost, I just had the opportunity to participate in one of their trainings. They have both online and live sessions. What I learned will be useful in my role as a board member. And I plan to attend other sessions. In summary, with Roost, I’ve found a level of professionalism and responsiveness that is impressive. Importantly, I know that they will take good care of us. Kim: Based on my experience with Roost , DC. as a condo owner I can honestly say I am very pleased.after all these years. Like a security blanket or guardian angel, it is great to know this management company responsibly handles the finances, paying bills and even keep a data base of companies to perform any work on your property-please note this data base is not just based on their experience as a management company, but also reommedations from actual people like me whose condos have had a positive experience as well. It is important to note, Roost D.C. really has your back if you have come to any issues with a company your condo or building is doing business with (i.e. deck repair, grass cutting), they ensure the “proper paperwork” is “in place” prior to service ((i.e payment method) and is extremely responsive to assist you with any negative issue from a company servicing your condouilding even reaching out to them on behalf of “the tenantsowners. Most of all, it is beyond awesome that Roost D.C. is familiar and update to date with knowledgeable about the rules an regulations governing condos in D.C.-this makes a big difference. Nathan Castine: My girlfriend and I worked with Lou and could not be happier. He was incredibly helpful from the start, helping us identify factors we did/ didn’t want in our future home as well as utilizing our future goals for the property in his searches.
