Management Concepts Training Center: what do users think?

Julian Gonzalez: Hit or miss here. Some professors will just read the training manual and add not valuable content. Others, are excellent and don't read the manuals and provide awesome valuable concepts and have good control of classes. One problem, I see if that having so many different agencies the classes are not tailor to your jobs but to the general concept. And if you are in construction forget it, the only talk about construction contract as a side note. We do not all buy tanks, airplanes, or dog food. I wish there was more competition for these classes so the quality, variety, schedule could increased.

Harish Ramroop: Great place for training but the classroom is a bit small but what can you expect in dc. I love that they provide coffee and beverages for free along with pastries, fruits and granola bars every morning! Will take couple of other courses here for sure!

K B: I’ve had to take a number of classes given by Management Concepts for my job with a federal agency and they are ALL horrible. The teachers are terrible; they have no idea what our agency does - we spend the entire time explaining our job, which they never seem to understand; and all the classes are geared towards idiots. I cannot believe the government PAYS these people (and from my understanding, a lot) to teach these. What a waste of resources and time. Someone must be getting a kickback. They’re absolutely useless.

ABCD ABCD: Training class cancelled and I did not receive the cancelation email. I showed up for class, missing one work day, I had to pay $15 for the PMI valet parking and the parking attendant damaged my car. So, overall, a very bad experience.

C B: Critical: Communication, Professionalism, Quality, ValueDO NOT TAKE THIER ONLINE COURSES. Trainer just reads text. Little to no interaction with students. If you have technical issues their help desk says "I don't know".

Nicole R: I love free things so the free pastries and beverages were a great addition to the long class days. It's close to restaurants and the food court. I'll be back soon I'm sure.

Tucker Patterson: Great place to learn difficult subjects. The CGFM was very difficult and the classes helped a lot.Mitch is a great teacher.

HowardU Grad: been here 3x..this is where you take Govt courses....it's a great location, close to starbucks and food court...probably be back for another 20 times before my career is over.

Aaron Ramsey: Nice training facility. Good courses. Hotels and good quick eats close by too!

edward daniel: Great experience.

Career Technical Institute: what do users think?

Canisha Russell: This is by far the WORST technical institute I've ever known of. The instructors are terrible. The staff I've come across from being in the Help Desk classes are terrible. They CLEARLY do NOT like their jobs and hate being there. Helping people is not at the top of their priority list. They seem EXTREMELY lazy. It's no way you all have attitudes by 12pm. I've graduated as of Feb. 11 but it's March 8 and if I didn't call to make sure everything on my end is done, they wouldn't have told me about a balance. Furthermore, nobody knows anything. I ask one person one thing and she's passing me off to someone else who doesn't know anything.

donna leehancock: Excellent staff, great interaction w the students. The professor and the assistant e collect instructors. Clean, organized, up to date on studies needed for 21 century, assess to and from the Metro, as well as practicing OSAHA and HIPPA. I would definitely recommend institute for a change in careers or simply learning a new occupation within this job market. Excellent!!!!!!

Morgan Paul: I graduated in 2016 and haven't received my certificate. This school made it difficult for me to work and provide for my family. Which left me in debt. Which they told me I qualified for a free grant which I didn't have to payback. Which was a lie. They even garnished my taxes to pay them off. And I still have nothing to show for my supposed to accomplishments.

Abdul Hamrah: Very bad experience I was there for 6 months 3 teacher changed and they change most of class materials I was so confused after a few month they said you are done I have not gotten any support and any certification and just wasted my time and money. Please feel free to call me if any prove for bad experiences I talk with prove
Response: Hi Abdul, we're so sorry that you've had a bad experience here at CTI. Please call us at 202-932-0630. We'd really like to speak with you about your time here.

Joselyn Alvarez: The school has motivated me to become my best self. The teachers and staff are so wonderful and helpful, the programs offer a variety of career paths, and i wouldn't go to any other school. 12/26/21 UPDATE Needed to come on the record and say that my original 5 star review is only because the teachers tell you to write a 5 star review in exchange for a good grade, credit, or extra points on an exam. Don't believe all the good reviews on here. I graduated April 2020 from the Medical Assistant program and have yet to receive a certificate of completion despite multiple attempts to contact the registrar. There should be no reason for them to withhold my diploma as they already received all my completion documentation AND i qualified for FAFSA so they already received all the money from my student loan servicer. This place is a scam and I wish I had gone somewhere else.

Jay Da Will: The staff is great. I’m a student taking part in the IT program that they offer here and the courses are worth every dime. You truly gain knowledge and receive tons of help if you put in the effort. Since I’ve been here, I been able to build a very great relationship with my financial aid advisor and my academic advisor as I contiune to excel on my way to graduation. They’ve helped me along th at keeping me in check with my grades, attendance, as well as the goals I set at the start of my enrollment. If you show you want it, the opportunity at the end is very bright for anyone who wants to enroll. Jerome Student of Career Technical Institute
Response: Thank you for the kind words, Jerome! It really is our ultimate goal to help students get started in a new career they'll love. Our staff members want to see students succeed and we're proud you have experienced this! Keep up the hard work. You'll be finished with your training and working in the IT field before you know it!

pamela byrd: Find a different school it don’t feel like I have graduated, I feel like I haven’t accomplished anything and I been done since February... and I still have not received my diploma ima contact department of education and student loans to look in this this school because I’m not about to pay student loans and I haven nothing to show for it. I still haven’t received my degree and it’s been 4 months going on 5 since I was told I was finished... find a better school this one is not it!! Just dept and more bills
Response: Pamela, we are sorry for the frustration you are experiencing. We see you are an online student and reached out to the Linda, Instructor Manager of Online Operations, you mention above. She is trying very hard to help you with everything you need and sounds like you have good communication going. She's been working on getting you the weekly forms you need and now the transcripts to get you to the next step. Keep contacting her direct. She is definitely trying to help!

Corene Bryant: I am a successful student and graduate of CTI Help Desk program from back in 2014. I have obtain a Help Desk Certificate from this school. After the program I was also placed on my first IT Contract with the job placement as guaranteed. I am now a student with the online classes for the AAS-Information Technology to obtain my very first degree. I am also still successfully placed in my career field since 2014. I do recommend this school. Always remember you are in charge of your destiny. Also, I want to thank this school for everything! Corene Bryant Successful Student
Response: Thank you for the good feedback! We are so happy that you have had a good experience at CTI. You have a bright future ahead of you. We look forward to seeing you succeed!

Vanessa Thomas: From the moment I met with Sylvia Williams my experience at CTI has been wonderful. Both of my instructors Ms. Cowley and Ms. Dixon are great teachers and are very knowledgeable about the information. It has been very fast paced but has helped me with my time management and I have acquired the skills and confidence to work in a medical setting.
Response: Hi Vanessa, thank you for the nice review! We're happy to hear that CTI has helped improve your skills!

Brande' F: I enjoyed my experience at this school so far as being in the hospitality class. I miss being guided by Mr. Aquino because as the class knew, he wanted the best for all of us. Then when Mrs. Brown came, she helped me along with others study for certifications. Idk why people not coming to enjoy the knowledge. Its way too easy!! Well if you take notes and follow along ... Its the same work, just worded differently. I already asked several times about the Associates Degree.

School of Professional & Extended Studies: what do users think?

Melissa Kaiser: I've taken a couple of courses here. It's a really nice location, friendly people and awesome exposure to big national events and public broadcasting. You get to know what's happening in DC very quickly. I lived off campus but I had a great time here. Faculty are very friendly and knowledgeable. A great school!

Danyal Sheikh: AU is not only beautiful, but its amazing. The campus, the people, the professors, the facilities - everything is great! I love AU a lot and my college experience has been great in America just because of AU! Once an eagle, always an eagle! :D

Rick B: A parent's view: I've attended two major private universities and toured many others. American University, simply put, has its act together. The faculty and administrators have figured out how to accommodate and orient the incoming students really well. Parents relax, your incoming student will be safe, educated and entertained here. The only area of improvement is the quantity of student housing - which they are working on increasing.

Lex Wraith: Sorry. I know there's a lot of naive and economically illiterate 18 year olds who are extremely easy to mislead, so allow me to provide the counterpoint(s). American University is not worth your time or money, unless you study IR. Seriously. The utility to price ratio is absolutely absurd in any other field, and if you come here not expecting to be saddled with a lot of debt when your job prospects peak out at $40K a year, you're going to have a really, really bad time post-graduation. Even the IR kids will have to deal with that, but at least they get to do what they love. Go to a state school. Stop chasing "prestige". There is no "prestige" at American University. It's also not that diverse; 80% of its population is white. And the employment numbers are nice - what, 70% within SIX months of graduation? That means some of them are underemployed, but more importantly, what's the average salary, and what's the average debt? Yeah, exactly. Don't come to this school unless you're absolutely sure. Seriously, it's not worth it. Go find your "college experience" and "growing up" somewhere else, preferably cheaper so you don't dig your parents an early grave.

Dezso Simon: I am absolutely outraged at the decision made by American University to ban white students from the student lounge! This is downright racial discrimination, and it is against the law! May the Lord Jesus Christ have mercy on the administrators of this so-called "tolerant" institution.

Art Lover: Wonderful campus, great teachers, good school! I earned an MA at AU and had a great time meeting people, learning and getting to know the DX area!

Joe Sawicki: Campus is small, but maintained well. Free shuttle will take you to the Tenleytown AU Metro station if you commute by train

Richard Mikesell: This "university" laugh, is a bunch of no nothing liberal idiots. They couldn't run a child's toy....Hum maybe that's what they should teach. They are the clowns in the circus know as DC.

Joshua Hill: Great experience. No better place to study and immerse oneself in Public Affairs. Josh Hill - Kansas City

Rebecca Rowan: Excellent education, fantastic location, and memories to last a lifetime. I'm looking forward to the rest of my time here.

Graduate School USA: what do users think?

Francesca Baldanzi: I called and write multiple times to get some information about a Grant Management certificate but nobody ever call me back or wrote me back. There is not enough information on the website and it is not clear. I ended up clicking on the enroll button to try to get some information about costs and it came a message saying that I’m enrolled in the program. I was nervous that I had to pay or required to do something. I wrote to ask that they remove me from their lists but nobody answered. Poor support service and orientation. I won’t bother waist if my time here.

Jennifer Champlin: My company chose this institution because I needed a course that relates to my job and they offered it sooner than my organization. They spend money to send me there but only authorize me to stay until the last day of the course as my company does not want to pay an additional night for the hotel to leave the following day. I leave the class early on the last day, as I told the instructor, and they refuse to issue the certificate even though the instructor agreed that my leaving early would be fine and they would mail the certificate. I emailed several people explaining this situation and no one has responded back and one person told me to refer to the rules and regulations page on their website. The certificate refusal needs to be on the registration page!!! Duh people! They do not honor agreements, nor are they customer oriented.

Anthony Johnson: I took an auditing course and I was extremely disappointed. The content of the course was dated and poorly organized. The instructor was never prepared and could not answer students’ questions. The instructor was supposedly a retired professional, however, that seemed far from the truth. The instructor was constantly confused by the content and would skip content that the instructor didn’t understand. Don’t waste your own or your agency’s money here.

Quenby Wilcox: Recently had training at this facility and lets just say everything is and was unorganized. Lets just start with calling into to register. I specifically spoke with a juanita who I later found never registered me for a Dc course but registered me for a san diego course. I showed up for a class just to later find out it was not offered in the dc location. Upset is an understatement . Never will attend this facility again .

Kevin T: Highly recommend institution and work-related programming.

Kevin Brackney: Good source for professional development for the federal employee.

B. W.: Tremendous school for instruction in government training.

Daygo Blasian: Horrible customer service, a product of their environment

Aletta Catoe: Great training and instructors!!

Charles Boozell: Nothing is five stars

University of the District of Columbia Community College (UDC-CC): what do users think?

Henok D: The most terrible school I have ever been to. Both the main campus and the Community college are the same. A lot of slow, unprofessional, and rude staff who keep yelling at students when they are not even doing their jobs properly. I submitted a certain paper to the Financial Aid office and they told me they lost the paper after weeks that I had to pay about $1700 out of pocket. During the 2020 Pandemic, I tried to contact them as I was having difficulty to waive the Student Insurance that is provided through the school because I already had an insurance coverage; no one answered my call until it was due. And now Miss Gaskon told me that I have to pay about $1300 for the coverage I never needed. Mis Gascon was there in 2018/19 when I had the same issue; she helped me waive it then. I could not go to her office in 2020 be a of Covid restrictions. I tried to solve the issue communicating with them but nothing got better yet. I would not recommend anyone to go the UDC unless one needs a headache. I cannot deny that there are some great Professors such as Prof. Sonnie Abebaku. However, individuals are very helpful to us, it’s overall experience at the university that makes a difference in our academic lives. So far, my overall experience is just TERRIBLE!

Danielle Carroll: I went to school here for my AA and it was a breeze. Yes the admissions needs some work (never fixed it) but the education, the teachers and the school itself is fine. It's so affordable and you can always learn something new. I got a paid internship through UDC and even though with it's slight hiccups, this school is still great. I'm at the main campus now working on my Bachelors and I'm 16 classes shy of finishing. Don't pay the haters any mind.

Edgar E: Worst administration I have ever had to deal with. Not only do they never respond to email or phone calls, they can't even keep track of ELECTRONIC applications, that required my daughter to submit 3 times and be forced enrolled late into classes due to their incompetence. But they also can't even have the literacy to read the applications correctly to charge the correct rate to students. They went ahead to charge not only my daughter but several other students out-of-state resident rates when all their applications illustrated DC residents. Like how can you not even read what's on the applications! How many other students were charged nearly 3 times when they should have been charged as a DC residents scares me on the level of corruption and neglect this body demonstrates to it's it's attendees.0 Then to not even have the decency and competence to even respond to emails and calls to try to correct this is just completely absurd, no wonder UDC is a laughing stock of a school to attend they can't even serve as a place to get extra credits for actual schools. How neglectful can you be to students and applicants, like seriously!

Lucien Graves: I was interested in nursing but the department leads never answer even with me contacting them daily for the last 3 months. Not to mention the admissions department takes 2 weeks to email back and never answers a single call. Just go in person, it's faster but still highly unprofessional since they eat and have conversations with others in front of you. You can see why they never answer.

Yesly Turcios: GLEN DOMINA rudest person ever if you are working under a facility and a Student is inquiring on information/assistance you should be able to provide that at your upmost ability but unfortunately that was not the case here..

Danny Hirschfield: I graduated UDC-CC with an AA degree in Liberal Studies Fall Class of 2015 Alumnus. This college really helped me develop my learning skills as I am an older non-traditional student that started as a freshman with very little prior knowledge and discipline in academia. I have transitioned to the UDC flagship campus pursuing my BA degree in Political Science as a pre-law student. This university is the most affordable place to get a good quality education being the only public higher learning institution in Washington, D.C.

Jamilya Allen: Okay So I applied about 3weeks to a month ago and I’ve yet to receive any papers informing me if I was missing any documents or etc. I’ve called at least 5 times a day for about two weeks straight leaving voicemail after voicemail and no one has yet to return my call not only did I call multiple times I have also emailed them multiple and no response. It’s ridiculous what’s the point of having an admissions office if they not even going to pick up the phone, guide you in the process of being admitted or anything else like you guys get paid to do nothing it’s sad.

h T: This University has only good professors! But getting a Bachelor from the UDC will not get you a job!! Their jobs faire is just to get a website from the companies and brochures lol!

Jordan Stewart: The financial aid lady with gray hair and dreads is disrespectful af. Most of the staff here are disorganized and rude. I disenrolled 2 months ago. When I went to disenroll the lady was eating crab legs in front of me. Come to find out she never really disenrolled me, and I had to go back up there today. Smh. I really wanted this to work bc I’m a Dc Resident but I’m enrolling at PGCC.

MICHAEL HILL: No comment

Project Management Academy | PMP Certification Training | Washington DC: what do users think?

Adam Zajac: I took the PMA course with Mark Francesco back in June 2021. Wonderful instructor...kept it interesting with humor and very knowledgable in everything to do with getting your PMP. I had planned on doing everything that he told us to do right after the course like take the PMA practice exam, watch the review videos, etc. However, life (as it sometimes does) got in the way and I was finally able to take the course yesterday. "Above Target" on all three categories!! Thank you Mark and PMA for your awesome instruction and for extending my access to the PMA website for an extra two months.
Response: Adam, congrats on passing! It's great to hear you scored "Above Target" on all three categories. I'm also glad we could extend your access for two more months. We'll make sure to pass your kind words along to Mr. Francesco. If there's anything else we can do for you, please let us know. Thanks and take care!

Georgetown University School of Continuing Studies: what do users think?

Hemant Gaule: Great institution, excellent faculty and resources available to students. A lot of impressive events and conferences are hosted at the institute.

Amy Friedlander: Like many others have said, the support staff, to include the Deans Office, is absolutely awful. Unhelpful, discourteous, unprofessional. I expected so much more from this institution, but the SCS is a disappointment and can only be described as a mediocre school at best.

Larry Poe: The classes and the professors are superlative. However, I concur with many comments here....THE SUPPORT STAFF SUCKS!!! You expect a lot more from the admissions office, registrar and folks that answer the phones (oh, by the way, if you call the SCS you usually receive the voice mail) when you pay 60K for a Master's degree. Georgetown is truly "resting on its laurels" and academic reputation in the customer service department. Every time I needed assistance from someone, it was as if I was asking for a favor and not paying for a service (lots of attitude and unhelpful comments). CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TRULY NOT A PRIORITY AT THIS INSTITUTION....
Response: Dear Larry, Thank you for sharing your thoughts regarding Georgetown SCS’s Emergency & Disaster Management program in the Middle East. We’re sorry to hear that the student support services have not met your expectations thus far. We’d very much appreciate the opportunity to speak with you further about your experience and do what we can to help with any outstanding issues. A member of your program support team will be reaching out to you as soon as possible to arrange a time to discuss. Sincerely, Office of the Dean, SCS

Karina Valverde: I love being a student on campus again. In pursuit of my masters in Public Relations and Corporate Communications. This campus is for the grad school and certificate programs. The culture is professional, high caliber students.

Patrick Revord: Convenient location, beautiful building, great instruction and great classmates. Georgetown runs a class act, even away from its main campus.

Monica Puerto: I enrolled into the Data Science Certificate Program at Georgetown. It is a waste of money and your time unless you have a robust background in Python. Most students did not because this certificate program appears to help you turn into one. I have background in SQL and data analytics and was hoping to gather some skills to make me a data scientist. Although I understand that a certificate program can’t turn you into one (although the marketing and messaging of this makes it appear so with the “robust” curriculum). This was purely taught on slides and wish it was more hands on. It is very expensive and you don’t start learning till the 3rd class. The first class was an introduction on what is data science (around $900) for some powerpoint you could have read at home. Second class was to get into groups to create a data product on a process that you barely know about. I recommend General Assembly they are more hands on. Although they don’t have the prestigious name (which I think Georgetown takes advantage of to teach this way), you will learn more and actually do projects AFTER you learn the material. I thankfully dropped out and sadly was only refunded the classes I did not take although intro to data science and getting into groups does not feel like real classes..
Response: Dear Monica—Thank you for sharing your thoughts regarding Georgetown SCS’s Data Science Certificate program. We’re sorry to hear that the program did not meet your expectations. We've received your feedback on the course and have worked to integrate improvements, including communicating the Python expectation and resources available to students. We invite you to speak further about your experience by contacting a staff member of the Center for Continuing and Professional Education by email at ccpeprograms@georgetown.edu or by calling 202-687-8128. Sincerely, Andrew (Office of the Dean, SCS Georgetown University)

Don Johnson: Thought Google users might enjoy seeing what this building looked like in 1919.(credit: Library of Congress)

Rose T.J. Perna: Georgetown SCS staff are unorganized, unresponsive and unprofessional. My son had a horrible experience with the administration. They do not return phone calls or emails. It may be an "elite school" but the SCS program has less than stellar staff and administration. I hope that they clean up quick, his actual program was very well and the insturctors were very qualified. But if you need a document or any type of administration assistance- you'd be better off going to another school.
Response: Hi Rose! Thank you for your message. We're sorry to hear about your experience. Thanks for being in touch so we were able to resolve your issue.

Gouled Hosh: I would like to study here for my EHLS program next year.

SouthEast Welding Academy: what do users think?

Benjamin Camm: Thanks to SouthEast Welding Academy I was able to obtain my 6G Pipe Welding Certification. Which afforded me the opportunity to enhance one of my teenage goals while working at the age of (18) for the Newport News VA Shipyard. At that time I was responsible for grinding out beads, miscellaneous, firewatch and cleaning up for safety purposes. Now I'm a member at Ironworker Local Union #5 helping build up The Nations Capital of The United States of America.

Dallas Woodruff: Positive: Communication, Professionalism, Quality, ValueI finished this school a year ago. There staff is very very helpful in whatever assistance you need and the instructors are excellent in teaching the weilding skills needed to gain employment in that field 👍. I strongly suggest those in the DMV area to give the academy a try before coming out your pocket for a class

J Burton: The staff are all awesome, and my welding has really improved. I'm set to qualify for 6G pipe welding. It's great.

Alex Parra: Critical: CommunicationWould like to see what this school is about but they never answer phone, even during the hours of operation posted on there website

Marika Crawford: Recently started this class. Definitely a diamond in the rough. Worth every penny and opportunity.

Per Scholas: what do users think?

Sam J: Asking where are you from or what is your first language during an admission interview after passing 2 assessments is questionable???!! ..i felt discriminated and not given a chance at all ,i had a high hopes for this program in order to change my life i guess i was wrong (NOTHING IS FREE)!

Samantha Trimmings: Positive: Communication, Quality, ValueI loved my experience at Per Scholas in Silver Spring, if I could get the opportunity to work with them again I definitely would! I was able to get my. I.T certification while also obtaining hands on training!! They are awesome 🤩

tony p: just a awful program!!! after they get you enrolled it will be all down hill. RONALD & MONDARRYL are rude, condescending, & flat out DISRESPECTFUL to adults. The addmission people are a joke and do NOT know the full scope of there job! Admission will say anything to get you in and then once your in KENYA director of student experience will not care about your experience. DO NOT ENROLL its a waste of time and PER SCHOLAS has a large number of students THAT DO NOT PASS THERE COURSE, the website is broken and they will blame you as the student and they are FULLY AWARE of the bugs. Most of the work you will be doing DOESNT APPLY OR HELP FOR TESTING! PER SCHOLAS IS A GIANT WASTE OF TIME. FLAT OUT THEY DONT CARE

Hasan Gunduz: Critical: Communication, Professionalism, Quality, ValuePoor quality, value and almost zero communication. Not professional at all. Total waste of time. Site director is the worst. They don't care.

Jwootheartist: I am dissapointed in Per Scholas technique to weed througg potential students. Standardized exams do not prove the ability of a student to complete and pass a training program. I honestly will never be great at Math and I am wise enough to stick to my craft, which is Listening, improvising, creating, concentration, percision, innovation, and the ability to think outside the box. I actually excelled in reading and application which is how one passes the Comptia Exams. Its about gaining knowledge that is at first abstract and applying it. Computing numbers is a small part of Network and Security, however listening and understanding and application is the core. If I already posses an A+ exam it proves I am more than capable. I feel standardizing is a way of filtering due to funds. I understand it is just business, but just know I am dissapointed that your funding is given to help people but it also discriminates against people like me who are an abatract learner. Sure I can pass next year, but attending a school that wants to standardize me to get in, but then wants me to excell and be great after is very contradicting and confusing. Btw I already passed a training program for my A+ and have been certified since 2012 2013. And i graduated with a 4.0.smh.
Response: Hi Jwootheartist. We're sorry that you didn't have a positive experience with Per Scholas. We work hard to make our admissions process as fair as we can, but we understand that we can always do better. We appreciate your feedback and we wish you all the best!

Degefa Lambebo: Disrespect for the students during interviews to admissions process who working national capital regional (silver spring MD)1400 spring st.They email to me “we are unable to move forward with you for the up coming course”without any clarification...
Response: Hi Degefa. We're sorry to learn that you didn't have a positive experience with Per Scholas during your application process. Although we don't have capacity to admit every applicant, we try to treat everyone with respect. We're grateful for your honest feedback and we will do our best to ensure that other applicants don't have the same experience.

Charles Y: The school does a great job of helping with standardized info needed to pass the Comp Tia exam. I have had a great experience.
Response: Thanks for the review, Charles!

sami souabni: Positive: Communication, ProfessionalismThis is a great place with Great staff.

International Center For Language Studies: what do users think?

Teacher Jessie Foreign Language Instructor.: As a student and also as a former teacher I can say that ICLS exceed your expectations. Great resources, well trained and experienced teachers from different backgrounds. ICLS cares about their teachers and students. It was a wonderful experience not only to work there but also take some French lessons.

Olivia Hoffmann: Positive: ProfessionalismI loved my Spanish class at ICLS this fall. My instructor communicated well with our class. I learned conversational and professional skills. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking to further their language education!

Tatyana Ariyevich: Positive: Communication, Professionalism, QualityI took 2 tests with ICLS. The staff was professional yet friendly, and the testing process was well-organized. The instructions for both tests were clear and sent ahead of time. I received my test results in an hour. I would highly recommend ICLS for language testing.

Veronika Jerdetski: Positive: Communication, Professionalism, Quality, ValueI really enjoyed my French evening group class w Philippe! I gained a lot of knowledge about grammar & the class was heavily focused on improving students’ speaking ability. The value I got from my studies is certainly worth the (very reasonable) tuition. Thank you!

Hongying Jia: Don't take test through this company. I should read this review before I picked this company as my tester. I'm a native Mandarin speaker who was born in China and had schools from elementary through post graduate school. I have been teaching Mandarin in US for 10 years. I just took other two Mandarin tests from other organizations and get superior level in Mandarin. But the testers of this company, ICLS, gave me a randomly low score. Same thing, they won't review my test until I pay another $200.

Brigid O'Donnell: I took an evening foreign language here. Classes are engaging and teachers are knowledgeable. The curriculum is rigorous but manageable for busy people. 5/5 experience, would recommend.

Driss Bernoussi: I took the Spanish evening group class for beginners and it was an amazing experience. This is much different than learning a language in high school or college, which was much more boring for me. At ICLS, they get you speaking Spanish from the beginning, and its highly interactive style helps you become comfortable with your classmates. My teacher, Astrid, was fantastic. Our class became so close that by the end we went out for a dinner on our last class and practiced ordering in Spanish. I highly recommend to any language learner in the DC area that is looking to take a class after work. It meets twice a week so it is perfectly manageable for my busy schedule.
Response: Thank you, Driss! We are glad that you found our teaching methodology to be helpful to your learning process.

Brent Peabody: Great school. I can say for what they lack in number of courses offered they make up for with the quality of the instruction itself. I took 30 hours of intensive Portuguese, and the instructor (Nilzelaine) made personal Powerpoints tailored to me before each session. The only downside is that during summer they don't have enough students to host group classes for less-studied languages, so be sure to confirm with them if they're actually teaching a class even if it's listed on their website. The thing that mosts distinguishes ICLS is the quality of their instructors. Mine spoke English flawlessly (so understood some of the difficulties in learning Portuguese from an English perspective) and had a background in pedagogy. Also nice is the fact ICLS classrooms have amenities like computers and projectors... this may sound basic, but I when I took classes at the International Language Institute, there was nothing but a whiteboard in each classroom. This may sound nice but for the fact it's so much easier to convey information through a prepared Powerpoint than, say, writing each conjugation over and over again on a whiteboard.
Response: Thank you Brent! We are glad that you enjoyed your class with Nilzelaine!

Berkay DEMIRKAN: I have studied English (ESL) Program in ICLS for a year and half. It was a great experience. The instructors were really friendly and they cared about our learning progress a lot. It wasn't just a language school, it was a cultural experience.
Response: Thank you, Berkay! You are a great student. We are glad that you are using your English to achieve your professional goals.

Nataliya Alekseyenko: Do not use them for language testing. I was tested in Russian<>English and neither one of the two testers were native speakers unlike me. They gave me random scores indicating I do not have competence in my native language and when I asked to explain their grading criteria they said they wouldn't but I could pay them even more money for their graders to review my scores. I have been teaching foreign language at several universities for over 10 years and I am very disappointed in their assessment and lack of accountability.

Management Concepts Inc.: what do users think?

Amber Adams: The instructors and producers are very helpful and engaging. The course materials are up to date and class activities are meaningful and collaborative. I have taken a few courses and plan to complete a certification by completing the suggested track outlined. The skills I have learned will definitely improve my job performance and create standard operating procedures to ensure compliance with federal standards and requirements. The student portal is a bit challenging to navigate, but a few improvements could make it very user friendly. Overall, I am a satisfied customer and hope that my feedback on course evaluations will be considered and implemented.

Touraj Behmand: Michele was awesome. The class is great in the sense of preparing you and making you have an idea about PMP test and expectations. I specially concentrated on the activities to improve the learning process. Overall the course is beneficial and will prepare you for the test. Michele also made this learning experience more fun. She is a professional, respectful, prompt and fun at the same time. LOVED the course.

Luz Rosario: Just completed the SOW course online with Management Concepts. The instructor was super enthusiastic throughout the course. Aleta made it very interesting and easy to understand. Was communicating with a representative from MC and they were able to add me into the class late due to a mixup with my agency. Nonetheless, I enjoy learning from MC and will continue taking their courses.

Terence Jackson: This is my second class with Management Concepts. I have never attended classes in person, only online and the instructor was very attentive. The training materials are relevant, and I plan to use for reference in my work place. I would recommend Management Concepts Inc. to others.

Jamila Gray: This course increased my knowledge tremendously! I was intimated by the exercises and test but to my surprise we were provided all the information we needed and more. The training feels like your sitting and chatting with industry experts and they pick your brain to get you to think outside the box. I enjoy the classroom setting, with the open vibe of facilitating learning through engagement so it doesn't feel stressful or overwhelming.

Jasmine Tounni: I just completed CON 244 Construction Contracting. Our virtual instructor Barb, was superb! I've taken courses from Management Concepts in the past, and this has been my best experience yet!

Rudolph Mason: Just completed Contracting Officer Representative (COR) class with Management Concepts and I enjoyed it very much. very informative but a lot of information to absorb in one week. A very good course that I highly recommend for anyone involved with govt contracting. The instructor, Michael Pagett, was great.

Janet Miller: Just completed the Agile Project Management for the Federal Environment course. The instructor, Jefffrey Neilsen and the training was phenomenal. I have no doubt this training and the knowledge acquired will be useful in my day-to-day operations. I would recommend this course to anyone needing training in the Agile Project Management field of work.

Mayson Al Kinani: I just completed the CON 091, Contract Fundamentals with Management Concepts. The instructor was amazing and very knowledgeable in this field and gave us a lot of from her experience. Very easy to registered in the training with Management concepts.

Larry Yarbrough: I've taken 2 classes and they were both great. I had different instructors for each but Dr. Brooks and Mr. Oliva were masterful in providing us with the knowledge to continue to excel in our fields.

Ultimate Performance Personal Trainers DC: what do users think?

Dian Stevens: I started working at the DC location of Ultimate Performance in November 2021. I was in drastic need of a reset. I gained weight during the pandemic, thanks to many poor choices on my part, and I knew that I needed to take some action. Ultimate Performance exceeded my expectations. I worked with the amazing Owen Browne. Owen is a dedicated fitness professional. Owen is patient, calm, and invested in helping each of his clients achieve their fitness goals. I felt safe with Owen and enjoyed how he consistently challenged me. Please do, however, watch out for Owen with his rep counts. He always seemed to add a few extra reps just when I thought I was done. Ultimate Performance has a unique atmosphere. The gym is immaculate and everyone knows your name. All of the trainers take the time to motivate every client in the gym. Another bonus is watching the trainers work on their own fitness. The trainers all look amazing, of course, but there is no resting on laurels at Ultimate Performance. The trainers challenge each other just as they challenge the clients. It is a great motivator. I am grateful to Owen for helping me shed 28 pounds. In addition, my cardio endurance has improved, my clothes fit again, and I feel great both physically and mentally. So, if you are tired of watching the numbers on the scale climb ever higher, tired of the mental fog, tired of making excuses, and positively fed up with purchasing compression garments to fit in your clothes, then you should definitely consider Ultimate Performance. Working with Ultimate Performance has been one of my best decisions. I recommend Ultimate Performance without hesitation.
Response: Hey Dian, thank you so much for sharing your positive experience on our personal training at our D.C gym. We're so thrilled that your training helped you so much. We're proud of our team who provide valuable efforts to amazing clients like you. All the best with further training. We're rooting for you!

Michail Charissis: Gavin at UP has (safely, smartly) pushed me to work harder than I ever thought I could. His expertise has been key in helping me get closer to my fitness goals. And the results speak for themselves-- I am in the best shape of my life and still making progress! At the start, I was a bit resistant to follow recommendations for dietary modifications, but I think that was me just not wanting to disrupt my pandemic routines and habits (many of them not great). I'm glad I decided to give it a try-- it really did jump-start my progress. Over time I've been able to get to a place where I feel like (as a VERY food-oriented person) I'm definitely NOT on a 'diet', but just being mindful about what I eat and enjoying what I eat. The workouts are HARD. And that's what I wanted-- I didn't want to just be kept busy for an hour. Over the course of my time at UP, I've gotten stronger and been able to gain lean muscle mass. I am still occasionally surprised, and very happy, when I look in the mirror and see the changes that I've been able to make. I've never seen such a change in my physique before and it is very encouraging!
Response: Hey Michail, that's really kind of you to appreciate us in the most honest way. We're honoured to have dedicated clients like you who make sure with their efforts to smash the goals set for them! Thank you, we wish you all the best for further personal training at our D.C. gym.

Gino Vaccari: My expierence has been nothing short of amazing! I came in wanting to change after a decline in both diet and working out. My trainer Jonathan has held me accountable and took the time to understand my wants and goals and came up with a plan to get me there and I'm beyond grateful for his help and guidance throughout the last few months. UP does fully address both nutrition and workout plans to reach those goals that are personalized to you, which is initially why I was so interested in joining. As of today, I've been both the leanest and strongest I've ever been in the shortest amount of time possible, I was partially stunned at how quickly I made progress and I feel great. If you do your part and put in the effort to do what the trainers at UP show you, you will see results and fast! This is truly a step above prior personal training and fitness programs I have done in the past. It comes full circle to ensure that both in the gym and outside the gym you are meeting whatever fitness goals you may have. I have seen it for myself and am excited for what's to come next! I highly recommend UP to anyone looking to invest in themselves and are driven to see results!
Response: Hey Gino, thank you so much for your kind review. We appreciate you for putting in hard-work and getting results that you're proud of. We're so proud of our team at our Washington D.C. gym to provide such dedicated personal training. We wish you all the best for further personal training at our Washington D.C. gym.

James Wilson: After adding pandemic lbs I needed a reset. I was considering joining a local gym and getting a personal trainer once a week, but a friend pointed me to UP. Absolutely, without doubt, this was the better decision. The holistic approach of combining diet with workouts is key to reaching your goals. In 10 weeks I have lost 25lbs and halved my body fat %. Make no mistake, the workouts are HARD. After my first session I needed a 20-minute sit down in the changing room to recover my senses, and many times I have left feeling absolutely spent. But they have become much easier to recover from, and the feeling of achievement is insane. There's a great sense of camaraderie amongst both the trainers and the clients that keeps things enjoyable, and the strength gains come quickly so you feel the progress you are making. My trainer, Ali Woodward, has encouraged and challenged me in equal measure. He seems to have an instinctive ability to know when I need to be pushed, and when I can use a laugh. He, like all of the trainers, practices what he preaches - it's clear that they have all been through some pretty tough workouts... If, like me, you want to make a change in your life but are worried about motivating yourself, look no further than UP. Don't be put off by the cost - it's one of the best investments I ever made.
Response: Hey James, thank you so much for your kind review. We appreciate you for putting in hard-work and getting results that you're proud of. We're so proud of our team at our Washington D.C. gym to provide such dedicated personal training. We wish you all the best for further personal training at our Washington D.C. gym.

Henry Defriez: Fully recommended to anyone seeking to achieve big weight loss or other fitness goals. I have been working with UP for just over two months, and am halfway to my weight loss goal (30 pounds so far). My trainer, Evelyn, has been a fantastic guide and motivator in our sessions, but also outside the gym in monitoring my nutrition plan and helping me stay on track while travelling (picking restaurant menus, preparing hotel gym sessions etc.) While the focus is naturally on hard work, the atmosphere in the gym is friendly, supportive and relaxed. It’s not cheap, but it’s definitely worth it for the physical and mental health benefits, especially if like me you have been struggling to make those gains by yourself.
Response: Hey Henry, thank you so much for sharing your positive experience on our personal training at our Washington D.C. gym. We're so thrilled that your training helped you so much. We're proud of our team who provide valuable efforts to amazing clients like you. All the best with further training. We're rooting for you!

Sebastian Bernal: Overall, training at UP has been an extremely positive experience. I was able to increase my strength, reduce my body fat percentage, and lose more than 20 lb over a period of 16 weeks. At UP you'll find a group of professionals who are willing to provide you with a detailed diet, and guide and push you through intense hour-long sessions. Special shout-out to Clay for helping me reach my fitness goals. A great motivator even during the 6:00am sessions, he had a wealth of knowledge on dietary needs, safety techniques for all types of lifts, developed a unique training plan that focused on my fitness goals and needs, and kept me accountable. At UP you will reach your goals. However, it does require commitment. If you follow the diet plan and show up at every sessions, you'll like reach a level of fitness you did not have before. Otherwise, you'll be wasting your money - which is quite a bit.
Response: Hey Sebastian, thank you for your kind review. We are so glad we could motivate you for your transformation. The well-being of our clients hold maximum importance to us. Thanks for trusting us and all the best with further personal training at our Washington D.C. gym.

Alexander Ragonese: I’ve been working out with Robert at UP for a little over 6 weeks now. While I’m excited I’ve lost over 13 lbs, I am more excited how dramatically the UP program has improved my quality of life. I have more energy, think more clearly and am happier overall. I initially signed up thinking I would give this a try for a month and likely quit but I now struggle to imagine my life without the UP program. While it is expensive, you absolutely get what you pay for. The program is personalized and Robert is constantly available for my questions to ensure I stay on track in and out of the gym. I can’t wait to see what they next 6 weeks bring.
Response: Hey Alexander, for you to say "I’m excited I’ve lost over 13 lbs, I am more excited how dramatically the UP program has improved my quality of life." makes our day! Thank you so much for your kind words. We are so proud and honoured that you achieved that with the personal training at our D.C. gym. We wish you all the best with further training. We're rooting for you!

Brian Weiss: DO IT! It’s not just that Ultimate Performance and the program gets results (it does... I’m down 50+ pounds!), but it’s also a complete mind and body change that sets you up for long-term success. It really is training in the broadest sense, because yes, it includes strength and lifting, but it also teaches good habits on nutrition, hydration, sleep and overall wellness. The program emphasizes the interconnectedness of these elements with a cool app and a trainer who is always there for you (whether you’re in the gym or not). As for the gym in DC… a totally supportive community where the team knows your name, and everyone roots for one another. Special shout out to Gavin – a first-rate trainer who built a custom program for me (that drew on his deep knowledge about the science of fitness) and pushed me through every obstacle to get the results he said were possible on the day we met. He was right. Like I said, DO IT!
Response: Hey Brian, thank you so much for your kind review. We appreciate you for putting in hard-work and getting results. We're so proud of our team at our Washington D.C. gym to provide such dedicated personal training. We wish you all the best for further personal training at our Washington D.C. gym.

Alvin Saha: I HIGHLY recommend Ultimate Performance DC! My trainer, Malik Carter, has kept me motivated and stays on top of my nutrition every day. Without him, I would have not been able to achieve the progress that I’ve made so far. In 3 months, I have lost 15 pounds and have significantly reduced my body fat%. I went back and forth with myself for weeks before I joined UP, and I am very glad that I finally decided to make the leap. In fact, I’m so satisfied that I just signed up for another 3 month package so that I can continue my progress towards my body goals.
Response: Hey Alvin, thank you for your kind review. We are so glad we could motivate you. The well-being of our clients hold maximum importance to us. Thanks for trusting us and all the best with further personal training at our Washington D.C. gym.

Lee Ann C.: No matter what age you are (I’m 64!) or what shape you’re in, you will feel welcome at UP, and you will have the best gym experience of your life. My personal trainer, Jonathan Cardenas, is world class. He’s laser-focused on my workout, making sure that I’m doing each exercise in the safest, most effective way possible. He creates meal plans tailored to my nutritional needs, and he provides guidance on what to order when I’m eating out. Best of all, Jonathan is tuned in to what motivates me. At UP, you will not get a “cookie-cutter” gym experience. This is a gym that is focused on you, the individual. The results you get will astound you.
Response: Hey Lee, thank you for your kind review. We are so glad we could motivate you. The well-being of our clients hold maximum importance to us. Thanks for trusting us and all the best with further personal training at our Washington D.C. gym.

Elliott School of International Affairs: what do users think?

Ray Mack: I really did not expected that so many people in Washington were interested in Central Asia culture. And so many people, businesses and funds are connected with live life of Central asian folks. Elliott School of international Affairs did great.

bonnie the bunny: Nice place. Rooftop with balcony. Lovely view. Lots of information.

Bill Schauman: Liked the new exhibit, "Waging Peace in Vietnam" about military personnel resistance to the war during the war. Building ok, enhanced by fresh-faced young people studying to be world leaders.

PRM: Looking to have an international affair? This is the place to learn how. No matter your sub-specialty, be it a sutric sachet with a sumptuous South Asian or a promenade to the polar palace of a Nordic Elsa, this is the place to learn how to do it right. Emphasis is on fostering students' understanding of how to get in quickly, make the most of the affair, and leave without creating an international scene. Exit strategies are gamed out in detail and students are encouraged to think holistically - staying friends afterward - and outside the box.

Robert Ulrey: View from the conference room on the top floor here is amazing. Overlooks the Washington monument, department of interior, and a bunch of other memorials. Wish I could have watched the fireworks from here.

Diego Blanco: Ranked the 8th best International Relations school in the world, most of the professors and speakers used to be ambassadors.

Emma Sutter: Awesome educational building with modern technology. The stairs are a great butt workout, too.

Tino Stephens: One of the greatest school of international affairs not only in the nation but, the world!

Rozey Chan: Professors from all over the world and of all professions! You always learn something new from lectures given in Elliott :)

Veronica Red: Beautiful building, bathrooms are behind in the renovation cycle.
