Praetorian Services - Washington DC Private Security Guard Company: what do users think?

Caden Schaefer: Praetorian Services helped us out with heightened security for the Brats, Brews & Bands Festival on Sept. 11, 2021. We were unable to find overnight security guards for three nights to watch our Festival equipment. Praetorian Services stepped up to add additional stops for an affordable price to help us make sure our equipment was safe and secure. They conducted the extra security checks and sent a report each morning. Praetorian Services was also very responsive and supportive of the fundraising event.

Antwan Monahan: Praetorian Servicesl is the best! They understands the challenges facing Olympia and the needs of the property owners to patrol and secure their own property. You can count on them to diligently patrol your properties and they set realistic expectations but still gets the results we need. I highly recommend Praetorian Services!

Emanuel Dare: This company is awesome love working shows and conventions for them real respectful people. I would definitely recommend this company.

Clinton Kutch: Great company also and thinking to get a part-time position again, looking forward in doing so, the lady boss is nice, respectful.

A Security Training Academy Inc: what do users think?

Mmallory35: I met Joseph in 2008 and he introduced me to the security industry which intrigued me. I began taking classes in 2008 and have taken all my new/In-service classes with Joseph. Joseph is a excellent teacher and has a true passion in all he does. I HIGHLY recommend Joseph/A Security Training Academy for all you entry-level and in-service security needs.

Emanuel Mpras: I have been training with Joseph for several years. He is extremely knowledgeable and is able to effortlessly and effectively communicate his knowledge to his students. I highly recommend A Security Training Academy, Inc.

zsnipes2009: I took multiple courses with ASTAI a few months ago, the training I received at this academy was worth every penny. My instructor Mr. Bonacci gave me detailed descriptions and knowledge from his experience of all job duties/expectations and what I was/wasn’t allowed to do per state law. He was by far the most knowledgeable individual that I have received training from. He stands behind his work and ASTAI. I have recommended him and this academy to multiple people since graduating from his facility. I would highly encourage people in the Northern VA area to take a course with with Mr. Bonacci and the ASTAI team.

Jonathan Greenstein: I renewed my annual firearms qualification with Joseph a while back and remembered why I sought him out after being away for several years- he is professional, attentive, safe, and reliable. For anyone looking to renew their LEOSA (HR-218) qualification, be sure to check out Joseph at Security Training Academy. Definitely going back when it’s time to re-qualify. Great prices, great service, and easy to schedule.

Eddie Nadal: Both my associate and I have taken our training and recertification courses here with great experiences. The courses are straightforward, reasonably priced, and Joe is always responsive and helpful.

Michelina C.: Joseph Bonacci & his Academy staff are the main reason for choosing your training in security. He is former Army & NYPD & his education of not just the law, but safety is #1 & what is instilled in his students. The courses you can take are endless & will allow you to go into the field confidently.

D & D Security Training Academy: what do users think?

Gabriel R.Calderon: excellent academy for unarmed security. Instructors go tru every detail in class and gives you more knowledge getting ready for you to follow every rule and directions of DCJS you will learn trust me.

Bettine Bowsky: This school was and is fantastic. I am so glad that I chose this school. I thought I hit a road block getting things completed but Steve was great and I was able to take care of my business. I most definitely will utilize this school again. Thank You so much!

Nikia Ritter: The instructors are outstanding. One on one training classes are. The only way to not pass for shooting or even uour unarmed test is to not pay attention. They give you the tools you need to pass and be confident on the job.

S B: I really don’t like to give bad ratings. But for this case I really need to share my opinion. Today 22th January, time 2:18 pm to 2:19 pm I called them and someone received my call and she was talking so rudely. I was a new guy for that gun license. So I just asked a question. She was yelling with me. And she was super rude. And I asked her name . She said she won’t say her name. What kind of business and customer services they are giving...!??? Whoever is in management pls take care of this case.

Bashir Naeemi: They were very helpful and trained me well, the license process was so cool, like it so far.

Starfford Owusu: Its home to me. A place where aunderstanding prevails.

bill mercado: I not recommend this place bad customer service to the students o not help and the not answer the email o phone calls

Nancy Robb: If you want to learn CORRECTLY, THIS is where you go !!

District of Columbia Security Officers Management Branch: what do users think?

Ronald Cooper: I had a great experience with this agency. I spoke with a Mr. Long who was very nice, informative and polite. He answered my question and I was off the phone in a matter of minutes.

L J: If it is a requirement to renew your license at this specific place during a certain time period, your doors should not be closing early and the lines should not be getting cut off. Today you guys cut the line off at 10am. Y’all open at 8:30. How can you make a cut off after only an hour and a half of being open. Mind you there were like 30 people in line. You can’t tell me the employees inside can’t get through 30 people before close of business which is at 2. Mind you this is basically the last day to renew and for the past two weeks I have been here 4 times during business hours to get turned away. I guess I’ll just get a license in Virginia and steer clear of DC’s SPO outdated system. Renewals should be done online by now it’s 2019.

Lyndon Johnson: Very unprofessional & rude staff members. I was treated poorly on the phone. I went into the office & they act like they are being bothered to DO THEIR JOB!

David Schinasi (Falcon): Thank you for your patience and the phone assistance you provide us several times while we were preparing our applications.

Andre “Dreyne” Whyne: Very unprofessional staff members. They are rude on the phone and when you go to the office.

Raymond Kelly: Excellent service but you have to arrive early to get a good spot in line.

Yas: Such a great school to take your unarmed course! When I decide whether I want to become an Armed Officer, I will definitely be back here. My instructor Mr. Ali was awesome. He knows his stuff and makes the class enjoyable considering it’s a 9 hour course for 2 days. They have a clean break room where they offer coffee and water. Clean restrooms. Nice and cool AC. The prices are pretty reasonable as well, they go through the whole DCJS process in detail. They make sure you know the material for the exam at the end. Overall, pretty great school, definitely worth your time and money! Highly recommend.

nate2skate 2: Its been great starting my career getting certified here. Awesome team of instructors.

SMART Security Pros: what do users think?

Rissa Wang: We had Michael and Richard work security for our wedding. They were both so so kind, from the moment we started working with them to the end of the wedding.

Angela Meyer: Excellent experience! We contracted SMART Security Pros for armed security services for a large event we were holding. Shawn and his team quickly responded to our needs. Not only were they courteous and professional, they treated us like family and made everyone feel safe. It was a pleasure working with them and we will surely call them again if ever the need should arise. Highly recommend them to anyone in need of security services. THANK YOU SO MUCH SMART SECURITY PROS!!!

April Morrison: I reached out to SMART Security Pro for a security guard for our construction site. Shawn is AWESOME! He took care of everything and made me feel very comfortable leaving my site in his hands. Very professional, respectful and knowledgeable person. If you need first class services at reasonable prices, you should definitely contact Shawn and his team. These guys know what to do!

Aleeson Phalichanh: What a wonderful experience! We flew in to the area on short notice and Shawn and his team were able to accommodate a last minute private security service (2-3 hour notice). The process was easy and straight to the point. I originally reached out via Yelp and contacted 7 other agencies. Others responded hours later or after the event time. The gentleman was at the destination early and was prompt. The event flowed smoothly and our team felt safe. All around a great company! Highly recommend.

Betty Hemingway: SMART Security Pros have the most professional, well-mannered security guards in the industry. These guys actually care about you and protecting your event. Our charity event was a smashing success and that’s all thanks to SMART Security Pros making everyone feel comfortable and safe at the event. Hire SMART Security Pros if you need friendly, trustworthy security guards!

Brian Grady: Shawn and his team set up mobile video guard for a construction project my firm was managing. Everything provided has been on time and on budget, and the coverage has been great peace of mind while potentially sensitive data and equipment would have otherwise been vulnerable. I would suggest working with Shawn in a heartbeat.

Security Training Academy: what do users think?

Jack Schroeder: Awesome " For Real" training and education. The Trainer is obviously skilled and experienced. The Trainer and staff are friendly and teach with humbleness and there are no stupid questions to them. You will come away knowing how to handle a firearm safely and be on your way to becoming competent in the use of firearms.

Wayne Phillips: Went to get my HQL license. Chris was very knowledgeable about State laws when purchasing a handgun. The class was actually fun as well as informative. I would definately recommend anyone who is looking to get their HQL or any other handgun related product to contact Chris at STA.

Maxdoggendorf Doggendorf: The class was extremely valuable. Both Chris and Georgianna were very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly I highly recommend STA for your secuity needs

Ashley Moccia: Being a novice gun user I was nervous for the class. As soon as I walked in I felt comfortable. The instructor Chris was knowledgeable in all aspects of gun safety, licensing and was able to answer any questions. The entire process was smooth and very relaxed which made me as the student relaxed. Will definitely be going back for further training here!

Gerard Johnston: Went for CPR and firearms training and Chris and his team are awesome!! They have everything needed for an exceptional training experience including the facility, the equipment, the knowledge and, most of all, the practical experience to help you get what you need. We will definitely train here again and enjoyed it so much that we are getting our adult kids to attend the training too. You can’t go wrong with this training.

Stephen Marcisak: Positive: Communication, Professionalism, Quality, ValueGreat experience! My wife and I did our HQL here. Chris and Georgie were knowledgeable, thorough, and answered all of our questions. Highly recommend Security Training Academy!

Drew Bissally: First time visiting the training center. The staff and the owner was very friendly and professional. The classes was very hands on and knowledgeable. I like that they have this simulation room where it teaches you what you may encounter in the real world. Also teaches you gun control when you should use it and not. It’s like being on a real traffic stop. Or crowd control. I like that everything I need is right there in one place. And it’s convenient for me to get to. Located in Pasadena MD. It is much easier. At first I was traveling to Springfield VA every weekend. Or DC. All I know if you are new to the private sector or been in it for a while this is the palace to go and get what you need for training or your credentials. Check the website out you will not be disappointed.

NA: Positive: Communication, Professionalism, Quality, ValueThanks Chris for an awesome experience! He was a knowledgeable instructor who spoke to the law, but broke things down to where it was easily understood. Although it was a 4 hour class, he kept it interesting with his instruction and video choices. He answered all questions with facts and integrity. I will return for additional courses!

Jocelyn Garcia: Such a great experience in thier simulation room! I recommend this for everyone! If your new to handguns they will help you with learning how to hold a gun and aiming. The simulation room puts you in real life situations to experience where you might have to use your weapon. All the instructors are very helpful and make it so comfortable for beginners.

Eagle Protection Services Inc: what do users think?

Brittany Smith: This company was very unprofessional when handling Situations. They are very far and if you don’t have a car I don’t recommend you to work for this company. It’s easy to get hired if you have your security license but the professionalism isn’t there.

Maranatha SOS: I was recently employed by them and already I’ve spent at least $25 in gasoline running around doing things without being paid.

Tony Roulhac: This company is a complete joke!!!! First off they make you pay for the uniforms they provide you that smell of old mildew and funk…the supervisors are completely unprofessional, lack communication skills, and rude I quit the first day I started…I recommend you run for the hills before you think about applying here because you going to regret it…. if i could give them a zero I would

Danny Christian: I worked for this company for 8 years and have nothing but good feedback to say. The management was responsive and helped me in areas I needed it in, and my supervisors were always on call. I did my training through them in the beginning and was helped guided through the process. I was satisfied with my paychecks as the rates of other companies matched. I moved across the country so I had to resign, but this job was one that I would recommend.

Tail Gunner: As a Armed Security this is the best company that I have ever worked for. Management truly cares about their employees and wants everyone to succeed within the work place. I love being a part of the team Eagle Protection Services. The most enjoyable part of my job is my supervisor that is Jason, Maxwell and Kevin. I always go to them if I needed advice or when I needed help in something that I did not understand. Over all I loved this company.

Angela George- Edwards: Not professional, I was not respected by several male employees, manager and human resources did not correct and do not correct employees for racially movatied actions against me. Human Resources fails to protect the employee.

Gerald “G_Wiz” Palmer: Worst security service at Mason Van Dorn ever. No concern for safety of residents says they only secure the leasing office the tennis courts and dumbsters.

Deputy Allen: EAGLE PROTECTIVE GROUP has many possibilities throughout the company. Everyone is very friendly and treats you like family. If you have any issues the supervisors will try and work with you as long as you let them know what you need. I am been working for this company many years because of the opportunities that have come my way. The company is very dependable and it shows because they have been in business for 20 years.

Ray Mack: I really did not expected that so many people in Washington were interested in Central Asia culture. And so many people, businesses and funds are connected with live life of Central asian folks. Elliott School of international Affairs did great.

bonnie the bunny: Nice place. Rooftop with balcony. Lovely view. Lots of information.

Bill Schauman: Liked the new exhibit, "Waging Peace in Vietnam" about military personnel resistance to the war during the war. Building ok, enhanced by fresh-faced young people studying to be world leaders.

Robert Ulrey: View from the conference room on the top floor here is amazing. Overlooks the Washington monument, department of interior, and a bunch of other memorials. Wish I could have watched the fireworks from here.

Diego Blanco: Ranked the 8th best International Relations school in the world, most of the professors and speakers used to be ambassadors.

Emma Sutter: Awesome educational building with modern technology. The stairs are a great butt workout, too.

Tino Stephens: One of the greatest school of international affairs not only in the nation but, the world!

Israeli Tactical School: what do users think?

Miguel Barajas: First and foremost, went to Isreali Tactical School with no LE or Military background and very minimal firearm experience. I went through Tomer’s Executive Protection Program because it was highly recommended. To say the least, the program completely exceeded my expectations. Tomer was an excellent instructor and went beyond the tactical training even to the mental level. The training I received was very thorough and detailed orientated and very practical and effective. He is very knowledgeable in his field and it shows in his training. The progress I made in such a short time was unreal to me. Tomer really knows what he is doing. I will definitely be back there again. For anyone looking to kick off a career in EP or any related field or for anyone who just wants advanced firearms training, I highly reccomend Isreali Tactical School.

Keith Lawson: The Best Instructors in the Industry and subject matter experts on how to survive and win at all costs. The price is very reasonable and the information on key matters and subjects is priceless....

Oliver Garbers: The Israeli Doctrine is a flexible system for the individual warrior to survive the dark hours of our times, as an agent alone or in a team, civilian or governmental. The difference to other schools is, it is not a shooting course, it is a way been taught how to fight with a firearm or even bare hands, how to prevail an attack, with surprise, aggression, speed. The SAS principle on which the Delta Forces around the world are base on. While you being taught you learn how to shoot with excellency. In comparison to other schools, who heavily rely on position work, like prone, supine etc. which are valuable and have there place but much more on the war battlefield and long lasting battles/fire exchanges but less in urban 360/3D warfare, daily street fights, active shooter incidents and terrorist attacks, you do not want to pin yourself to the ground having three guys open fire on you, you want to be fast, aggressive and mobile and here you find another valuable of the Israeli Doctrine, it builds on the Infantry Style, move, stop, attack, move on, use cover till you are over the threat and eliminate it. This style fits almost anyone. The curriculum is performance based, do what you can, with what you have, so each student proceeds on his own pace to fulfil the task and enhance his capabilities step by step and so beginners can train with professionals, no one is left behind. As many others teach either only sighted shooting or only point shooting, you learn here the full spectrum and how to apply accordingly under pressure. The curriculum is scientifically and logically constructed with the most safety in mind, to get the most out of it in the shortest amount of time. The concept relies on repetition to built the necessary neural pathways ( muscle memory ) and to store the context in the right brain area, so it can be easily applied subconsciously under pressure and having free memory for making the right decision being under attack, gun fighting is problem solving and solution finding and to get the quotation right, you need to have the necessary skills, within a split of a second, at hand. The major advantage is, each student will be taught individually in comparison to ten standing guys at the firing line and fire on "UP". At ITS everyone gets the necessary attention while the others watch, listen to the critics, can ask questions and discuss and learn on the mistake and actions shown and watching while the current individual trained gets immediately corrected, so few mistakes to ingrain. From basic to advanced step by step, easy to hard, from slow to fast, from quite to under pressure. The repertoire is held as simple as possible to be easily retained and being applied when necessary. The interleaved training idea and chaos implementation gives you a much faster approach, success and longer lasting skills. But with any art or skill, you have to train the methods you learned to keep them alive, any F-16 fighter pilot has to fly to stay sharp, ITS delivers you the doctrine of how and what to do. The expertise of Tomer Israeli is hard to double, his educational and teaching skills are far ahead and outstanding. And he is a very humble personality. My personal conclusion if you want to learn to fight with the gun, do not look any further, come train with Israel Tactical School, a bit expensive, yes but you get what you pay for, becoming an individual warrior to save your and others life. The course applies to law enforcement officers, military units as to civilians. The idea behind is the close protection doctrine, Shin Bet. It is no wonder that graduands win in competition shooting and in international SWAT contests.

Marco Garcia: The best Tactical course with mr Tomer Israeli ... i highly recommend this course, by far the best !!!! If you want to take this courses for the first time or you are aún expert this si for you!!!!

Brett Shehadey: Tomer is an exceptionally talented professional and gifted teacher in the CT field. He really makes you feel like you are actually in the Israeli counter terror environment wherever you are training in the world and using their tried and trusted methods. He is safe, patient and practical. The lessons advance becoming more demanding as you become more proficient with Israeli methods. I have not finished his program yet beyond TAC 1-4 but plan to do so. This is one of those rare opportunities in life you don’t want to miss out on, whether it’s for just learning how to use a gun beginner to the most specialized units. Could not be happier with the program.

Alliance Française: what do users think?

roberta weinman: I recently took three courses through this Alliance and finished the last one at B2.1. I have had many classes through other Alliances and was very disappointed with the quality and pace of the instruction. It seemed as though we were rushing through the book and exercises without the time to truly absorb what we were supposed to learn. We were often cut off when asking questions or making comments, so that the instructor could quickly go to the next section of the book. Learning should be enjoyable, as well as informative. This particular class was neither, especially compared with my other experiences. (Note: The Everyday French class was very good and completely different in tone and pace, with this instructor attuned to the needs of his students.) I am also appalled at the way I was treated by the administration when I made an attempt to talk about my experience with the instructor of the B-level classes. Sarah Diligenti, especially, is arrogant and dismissive and really does not want to hear about any negative experiences. The administration simply does not care. I would encourage potential students to stay away from this Alliance.

Melanie La Force: Positive: ProfessionalismThe staff are always willing to help. The teachers are awesome. I succeeded at getting my DALF C1. This was a tough exam and the prep was great.

Bonnie Beavers: Bassima was my teacher for my class (level 104.A.2), which for me was the first French classroom experience since university days 40 years ago. I enjoyed it enormously and will sign up again. We spoke French the entire time, and the materials were very helpful & well-organized. French immersion schools abroad know about Alliance and respect their teaching.

JC Kollmorgen: Membership and the cost of classes are pretty steep altogether. However, the quality of teaching is good. Much better than taking a class at USA Graduate School, for examples. Their library is also fantastic. You can borrow books, DVDs, and audio. I only wish they had more higher level class offerings at their Penn Quarter location as it would be more convenient for me.

Brittany Roth: I took the A101 course at Alliance Francaise this last October and the professor spoke in English more than half of the time and the class moved very slowly, which is all fine given we are all complete beginners. She was very nice and made sure the students were understanding all the topics. I then signed up for this A102 class and the teacher spoke nearly 100% of the time in French and moved through new material very quickly. He explained all new concepts in French and did not always make sure that what he was explaining was understood. The A101 class that I took absolutely did not prepare me for the A102 class. The professor used words and phrases that were never previously covered. Also, if you did not understand right away he would become very impatient. One time I said I did not understand something and he said scoffed and asked why? He did similar things with other students. His behavior was very upsetting and often times caused me to get frustrated and want to give up. I finished this course very unhappy. On top of my frustrations with the teacher, I never received my results for the end of the session test. This past week I moved to France and want to enroll in the Alliance Francaise program in Toulouse and having my test results would have been great in order to help place me in a course here.

Charlotte Dadzie: I think the class I took helped me improve my language skills a little, I did not like the fact that the teacher I had did not say anything when students were laughed at when they made a mistake. I mean We learn together, we shouldn’t laugh at people when they make a mistake, we should instead help them.

joseph Thompson: Wissam is a great French teacher. I took several classes with him and would highly recommend.

The George Washington University: what do users think?

Quinn Peters: This university is ruled out as a possible location for my children to attend. As long as that fraud of a justice Clarence Thomas has a professorship here, I’ll never give this place a red cent and I’ll pray every day for it’s ultimate failure.

Dominick Withanachchi: Love the way its situated. If you like a university in a big city, this is one of the best.

Garth Hedley: Amazing complex, beautiful buildings and friendly atmosphere.

Steven Zimmerman: an outstanding University for our son to obtain his Masters in Public Health

Anthony Scott: While the food was descent, the service was so so. Once the cashier finally paid attention to us and we were able to order, she was very friendly. But prior to taking our order, she continued to talk to another employee and chat about non work stuff and ignore customers. The sweet potato fries and grasshopper shake were very good.

Taylor Fain: Very disappointed in their response to covid. Forcing students who have children to go back into classes of 150 people. Very irresponsible and not taking safety seriously.

American University: what do users think?

Praveen Sriram: Stayed here in the summer of 2005 for my internship in Washington DC and the experience was absolutely fabulous with the dining halls and the gym being my favorites. No complaints at all and excellent customer service from the residence hall staff. I sometimes wish I studied Accounting at this university than at the one I studied at. Great school and great residence halls. Highly recommend! A+

洪銘勳: I have received my master of law degree (international legal studies) from the Washington College of Law of this school. It’s a very internationalized and excellent university. I really miss it.

Santiago Tovar: My friend is away at a summer camp and given the precarious infrastructure of your so called "university" has no wifi. He is unable to communicate with friends and family. This is outrageous, its unfair. Please fix this ASAP.

Adam Cox: Graduated school here in 2005. Students are very engaged and staff friendly. Great place to study.

Gabrielle Thompson: Jacksfilms is a notable alum, and yet, I do not see his name. Therefore, I will not spend my valuable time or money on this university!

Sarah Ashworth: Loved my years at American!! Great diversity and learning community!

Igor Dorokhine: Priced at the level of Ivy League University but return is not at that level at all. BEWARE!

t Whittington: Great university. Amazing area. Amazing people.

TechCarsAnd EverythingElse: Mediocre University in DC. Georgetown is a better university.
