Tavira Restaurant: what do users think?

Kate Kaminsky Murphy: Unique flavors. Great service. We enjoyed our meal. All of our party of three chose the prix fixe menu. There was a good selection of appetizers, mains, and desserts. The mussel appetizer was something special.Enjoy.

Jane Lyons: So delicious! Not many Portuguese restaurants around here, so this was a treat. Amazing bread, apps, entree, and the pastel de nata was INCREDIBLE. Fancy and good for a date night! Parking a little confusing.

Danusia Hubah: What a hidden gem! I visited recently for the first time, not knowing what to expect and was blown away! The dinner was amazing, elegantly prepared and so delicious, the dining room was beautiful, and the service was so fantastic. I went with a tasting menu, and every dish was more delicious than the last. Truly fantastic. Highly recommend!

Michael Webert: We traveled to Portugal before covid and fell in love with the food. Tavira is a wonderful place to find authentic Portuguese cuisine near home! The service was excellent and the food delicious. I’m incredibly happy to have a place like this nearby. I highly recommend the Medalhoes de Bife and the poached pear. The pastel de nata was also almost as good as the ones we got in Lisbon.

Kim Randolph: I had a small reunion with some friends who I went to high school with in Portugal. It was an absolutely perfect evening; the ambience, the service and of course the food. Everything was wonderful. I will definitely come back.

Stacy: The food was good but the atmosphere and off. The decor looked like an old cheesy Italian restaurant mixed with a garden party.

Joetta Bridges: First time visiting and the atmosphere from the moment we entered was phenomenal. The food was awesome, truly authentic dishes. A meal never to be forgotten.

Lisa Miller: My whole family ordered prix fixe and we were glad we did! The appetizers were great, we enjoyed the main dishes and loved the desserts. We all enjoyed our experience here in Tavira and we will definitely be back!

Nova Europa Restaurant: what do users think?

Susana Simoes: I Absolutely would recommend Nova Europa. The food was so delicious and fresh. We’ve had amazing calamari in many restaurants, however this one stood out. It was exceptionally fresh and cooked to perfection. Our steak, veal and seafood were cooked to perfectly as well! Our waiter, Manuel was so kind and professional and took his time with our table. We will definitely be visiting this restaurant again, very soon!

Nicole Cheung: Nova Europa is a hidden gem of a restaurant. This cozy restaurant has delicious food at a very affordable price. For early bird dinner, a 3 course set of an appetizer, entree, and dessert is $23 and twilight dinner set is $31. The escargot (2 ways) are fantastic appetizer options and the Steak Diane with mushroom sauce is flavorful and tender. The flan, cakes, and cheesecake are all wonderfully decadent dessert options. Overall, every item I have tried on the menu is great and the service is as well!

Doug Siglin: We were a group of four first-timers at Nova Europa to celebrate a birthday. We had a blast. The setting was pleasantly old-school and comfortable to talk. Manuel was charming and helpful with recommendations - he even shared recipe tips. The recommended food and wine were delicious, and the staff even sang Happy Birthday - first time in decades to have that happen. An altogether memorable experience. Very highly recommend.

ellen price: We celebrated tonight at Nova Europa - eleven of us. Our amazing server, Manuel took such great care of every detail of our dinner and celebration. He made excellent suggestions for entrees, but beyond that was kind, attentive, and fun! The food was fabulous and the portions ample. We all had a memorable evening and a wonderful meal. We will definitely be back!!

Ryan Vip: I genuinely love this place. European cuisine is always a good go to for me, but this place is especially good. The service, food, and environment is amazing and always has been. I’ve been coming here for years and never had a meal I didn’t love. One of the waiters, Andrew, was also incredibly friendly and hospitable as well as the rest of the staff. Highly recommend this place.

Melinda Machado: I remember coming here over 20 years ago with my parents. It brought so many wonderful memories. The food was just like I remembered as a child. I will be back again.

Nando's PERi-PERi: what do users think?

Teddy B.: Stopped in for a random early dinner with my family and I can not explain how amazing the service we got from Michael was! I don’t know if he was a manager or a server but his professionalism is probably one of the best I have experienced. Thank you Michael! Will be coming back just to get the same service from you.

Jake Juros: Solid food. Even better sauces. No complaints about the customer service. Great for affordable chicken dishes. Great with friends or a Friday night! Update: Food is still great, the customer service has gotten better. They now online ordering to the table which I think is a great addition. Highly recommend.

Dahiana Quiroga: We enjoyed A dinner with our friends. Had a really good time. Had the chicken Breast sándwich, very tasty. The lime sauce was a bit spicy for me but it was good. We also had 1/4 chicken with mashed potatoes. Very nice service, attentive staff. The room upstairs is nice. We will be back. :)

Andrew Todtenkopf: Liked the chicken and sauces, wings and fries were also good, as was the haloumi. Good drinks too, and friendly servers

Zénó Tráger: First time trying nandos. They gave us a free appetizer and free brownies at the end. Staff was very friendly, the prices are reasonable for what you get. Great place overall👍🏻

The Grill From Ipanema: what do users think?

Fangzhi Z.: When you see a restaurant that has been around for over 20 year, you know it is good. I had never tried Brazilian food before so everything was surprisingly good to the first-timer. They have a special lunch menu if you go in the right time. And for about $26 per person, you get one appetizer, one entrée, one desert, and one drink. The fish stew and pork stew were really delicious.

Merissa Pemberton: Holy hell this place was seriously fantastic! The atmosphere was relaxing and made for a great intimate/romantic dinner. Camila made sure we had a great anniversary celebration. She recommended multiple dishes on the menu - all of which were extremely delectable. She also had assistance from another woman working at the restaurant who’s name I unfortunately do not remember but also provided incredible service. This was our first time but will not be our last. You can’t go wrong with any item and please order the passionfruit mousse with the Brazil liquor poured on top! Camila clearly deserves recognition and a raise based on our experience alone.

REL VS: Great food. Authentic Brazilian place. The Bobo de Camarao (Shrimp Stew) and the caipirinhas are the best

Nicole Farnsworth: Absolutely fantastic experience. My girlfriend is from Brazil and we both really wanted for me to try all the food she’s been telling me about for so long… this was the only restaurant whose menu she approved in the area. From the moment we arrived, the manager was super friendly and talked to us personally quite a few times, and all the service was very friendly and prompt. We both got the brunch three course meal, and every single thing we got was was FANTASTIC. My girlfriend told me it was EXTREMELY authentic and the best Brazilian food she’s had in the US. I’ve never had Brazilian food, but it was some of the tastiest food I’ve had in a while PERIOD. Cannot recommend this restaurant any more highly.

Lindsey Stiles: We had been walking by this place for years and then finally decided to try it, and we are so glad we did! Such delicious food, highly recommend!

Natasha Hansen: Delicious!! Great drinks and small plates. The spicey sausage and yuka was a must try! Friendly service and good amount of outdoor seating. Can’t wait to go back!

Ron Costigan: Delicious food and drinks. Family owned business. Friendly staff

Fogo de Chão Brazilian Steakhouse: what do users think?

Vy H.: LOVE THIS PLACE!! My work company had our holiday lunch gathering here recently! The restaurant has a nice and fancy vibe, and surprisingly was packed for a weekday lunch. Their salad bar is awesome—with a huge selection of choices. Their meats (that come around your table) is so delicious and well flavored. In addition, staff is very friendly and attentive. I was a little disappointed that they didn’t have the chocolate cake as a dessert option for our meal, but the cheesecake with strawberry sauce was really good!

JennyLovesGogi 제럽고 (제니럽스고기): Especially, the lamb was fantastic. They provide fresh salad, salmon, soup, and fruits at the self corner. And they gave us a fantastic cheesecake for our birthday! 💯💯Thank you for nice food and service!

Morgan: Fantastic service. The employees here really work well as a team. The food is always great. I took my boyfriend here when we first started dating and he loved it. Took him again along with my grandparents, who were in town visiting… I didn’t tell our server, but we were also celebrating my grandma being cancer-free. Our server went out of his way to give my grandma a free dessert that said “Welcome to DC” (see picture)… That was really nice. Thanks for many great experiences.

Steffon Greatness: Danie Magalhes & Staff are super accommodating. They understand customer service. Daniel kept a smile on his face as if he wanted to be at work. The Service, QUICK, Efficient, & Friendly. It’s as if they want you to ask question. 🤣 The Food, Fresh, Hot, Tasty❗️I’ve been to hole in the wall Brazilian spots and I’ve been to Texas de Brazil… the food tastes better thank all of those I’ve experienced. Pro Tip, They get busy quick, they have a full dining area. Tables fit 2, 4 & round tables that must fit about 8. They fill up pretty quick. (And this was a Thursday) Try the bottom steak & lamb. It’s the best. I wasn’t a fan of the beer marinated chicken however it wasn’t bad. Last thing get the soda in the picture it’s AMAZING. I want a case of them lol. *** Please mark this helpful if it helped you***

Naturally E: The food and service was top notch! I really enjoyed all of the selections & the quality of the meat. The market table was my favorite! Soooo many options to choose from. The drinks were fantastic! Surprisingly, they have Happy Hour all day! Our server, Ryan, was ahhhmazing! He was super cool! Really enjoyed our meal.

John Kurton: Great place for meat lovers. Great quality meats and good size cuts just kept on coming. The salad bar was great too. Some how even managed to find room for dessert.

Autumn Bishop: We went for the first time for my birthday, everything was amazing. Our server Denzel was overall a 10/10 super attentive even though it was crazy busy he made sure our needs were met and even offered to have specific meats brought to us if we hadn’t tried them yet. He also had great recommendations and accommodations. The food was all fantastic. We will be definitely coming back the next time we are in DC !!

Taberna del Alabardero: what do users think?

Queli: After being disappointed with DC food, we ran into this gem. Not only was food incredibly delicious, the presentation was amazing and portions were great, and the service was phenomenal. Shoutout to Edgar for bringing me a real spicy spice to accompany my delicious food. He understood what Mexicans need :) Thank you to all the Taberna team for being amazing ! PS- I recommend paella and, sausage and blood sausage tapas !

Eduardo Sevilla: Old school D.C. restaurant, classic service and ambiance serving fine Spanish cuisine that no longer overwhelms you but will satisfy your Iberian peninsula cravings. Tapas for dinner is the way to go, variety and well executed, albeit small portions. Outstanding wine list, only the very best varietals from all the growing regions in Spain. Grilled Bronzino, Chilean sea bass and grouper specials are highlights. Expensive paella options not my favorite.

Rachel U: Reservations for Saturday night, we were warmly greeted and seated. Unfortunately due to the busy night, we were only able to order 1 kind of paella for at least 2 people. So we ordered the lamb and cod. Both were yummy. The squid ink sticky rice was so fun. We ended with complimentary pastries. Live band and dancer were the cherry on top! Such a great experience, we will be back.

David Arrimadas: Amazing restaurant. It is a piece of Spain in Washington. The quality of the food is very high same as the professionalism of all the staff. We really felt at home. It was a great experience for our Spanish family that after five months in US is really missing our country delights. Highly recommended if you want to have a good time and food!

Joshua Russell: Classic DC restaurant that specializes in Spanish cuisine. We were able to get reservations for Sunday night to celebrate a birthday. At time of reservation I mentioned it was birthday celebration. When we arrived, we were greeted quickly and sat. They had a nice, cozy table reserved with a very nice Happy Birthday card written for our special guest! We started out with tortilla de patata, friend manchengo cheese with raspberry sauce and the cherry & mango gazpacho. Everything was superb, the favorite was the cheese with the raspberry sauce. We ordered a chicken and seafood paella to split with everyone. It was spot on with both the texture and taste one would expect from paella. The seafood that came with it were clams, mussels and shrimp. For dessert we ordered the churros with chocolate and the warm cheesecake. Not were very good and just the right size. We were surprised yet again with a very special Happy Birthday plate written in chocolate with some berries, chocolate and cookies. Very good and will look forward to coming back here again soon.

Mark Blanchard: Spain meets Dorothy Draper on the decor, pretty awesome. Food was great, serrano leg sitting in front of you getting sliced. Sadly we got a piece of bone with the serrano. The food was good, and so was the service. We enjoyed the flamenco dance and music around 830pm.

Morgan Niu: I was there for DC restaurant week. They have special menu for us. Food is good but I am a little disappointed. Service is excellent. Live music and dance are impressive. I would like to talk more about the taste of food. I had tuna guacamole tartare, tastes like poke bowl. My husband had blood sausage. Seafood paella is good. Usually it is salty in other restaurant, but not here. However it looks messy in the plate. I shared this paella with my friend. But server didn’t share it equally in out plate. I have more in my plate, it is little awkward. Dessert is caramel flan. Caramel sauce is way too strong. My husband gave it a try, he agreed with me. One drop of the caramel sauce could stay in your mouth for 5 mins. By the end of the dinner. I forget all the taste from previous dish. Only the taste of caramel in my mouth and my brain

Lynelle Nicole: The owners at DCanter Wine Boutique in Capitol Hill recommended this place. It did not disappoint. We had papas bravas, garlic shrimp, and the mixed paella with a bunch of wine. The happy hour section was lively and full of people. The section we were in was quiet and secluded; perfect for a business dinner or confidential conversation. I’d love to come back when they have live music.

Aleyda Villavicencio: We came across this place entirely by luck, but having been in Spain and loving Spanish food like we do, this place didn’t disappoint, and we felt really confident the food had to be good when we walked in and realized many tables were taken by Spanish guests. If you’re in town you have to stop here. Plus they have a lunch menu that’s very affordable!

Del Mar: what do users think?

R: This was my first time going to Del Mar and the food was phenomenal! We went as a group of 8 to celebrate a birthday. It was my first time trying octopus and it was really good. The parking in the garage was $45 since I stay for 4+ hours which was a downside for the night so it might be better to find street parking.

Genesis Marrero: I was truly impressed with this dining experience. We flew to DC for my birthday week and had my birthday dinner here. Luis served us and he was definitely one of the best servers we have ever had wait on us (and we are huge foodies so that is saying something). He was so attentive and just knew exactly how to guide the dining experience based on what the guests is wanting out of their night whether they know specifically or not. We let him take the wheel with all of the knowledgeable recommendations and we were so happy from start to finish. We came back for our last meal in DC and again, Amber served us, and again we were not disappointed. She was so sweet and also had wonderful recommendations and made sure all of our needs were met before we said goodbye and hopped on a flight. Luckily Luis was also there and he remembered us which made us happy because he was also so memorable for us. He was so nice and sent us our new favorite drink that he enlightened us to - the carajillo. I don’t think you could go wrong with a single thing on this menu. The rest of the staff was also very efficient and everything just seemed to flow so smoothly with the teamwork here. I can’t wait to go back someday!

Khalid Sam: Great places for tapas. A bit pricey but the quality and service is fantastic.

Alya's Aura: The food was SO delicious and of course the service was top notch. Our waiter (I believe his name is Michael) was so nice and helpful and made some great recommendations. I definitely suggest leaving space for dessert because their little dulce de leche dark chocolate cakes with the horchata ice cream was beyond amazing! The perfect end to a great meal 👌🏾

Theodora Lau: Love the food and the service. Def order the seafood paella 🥘 … you won’t be disappointed.

TexCat: In town with a friend. It was getting a little late and we were still trying to find somewhere for dinner - came across Del Mar and it enticed us. Waited for a table as we really wanted to sit outside on such a beautiful evening. Everyone was very friendly. Bryan our server was wonderful. Very attentive and sweet, he took great care of us. We shared some tapas - a little surprised at how small they were based on the price….admittedly they were extremely tasty, but I think what you’re really paying for is the location. A great place to return to sometime for a romantic meal

Omar Cardin: The service here is as good as a fine French restaurant with the ideology that plates need to be ready when the guest is ready for them and when they are done, the plate disappears. Great service, most meats just melt in the mouth. Highly recommended for sauce lovers.

Black Star Dust: Absolutely stunning place. Great service. Top tier experience. Everything was a ten. The Seafood Paella is delicious. Highly recommend that dish. It comes in different sizes for sharing. It was my bday so they brought out gratis champagne and this cheesecake that was literally the one of the most delicious desserts to grace the planet. Don’t even get me started on the churros! Amazing! I also did come in with a VIP who goes there regularly so that surely may have enhanced the experience to 10 stars!!

Nando's PERi-PERi: what do users think?

Mica Ann: I have been wanting to try Nando’s for a very very long time. Finally! We ordered the whole chicken and the wings. We also tried the custard tarts for dessert. I am not really a fan of the custard. They are ordinary for me. But the chicken and the sauces… those are a different story. I can understand the craze and hype about Nando’s and how they franchised so quickly. I cannot even find the right words to describe it. The chicken is halal, I believe, which is why it’s also a hit for our Muslim brothers. The chicken is very tender and has the right amount of flavor that will complement any sauce you choose. From mild to extremely hot, you can dip or drown the chicken in any sauces and finish it to the bones. Ordering and paying is through their website or app. Make sure you put your table number if you are dining in and they will serve your order in 10-20 minutes. You do not need to buzz your table after eating. The staff will do that for you. Hence, you need to tip. You have to get your own sauces, utensils, and fountain drink/water though. I have tried their juice as well. I think I ordered something with a pineapple orange and it is very refreshing. Sweet but refreshing. Credit cards accepted. For this location, and most establishments nearby (that I have noticed), there is security present.

Nancy Wadie: Portuguese is on of my favorite cuisines, I was so happy to be in Washington D.C. and see a great chain of a Portuguese restaurant every where in D.C. we ordered chicken, dessert and garlic bread. The chicken and the garlic bread were SO delicious. I hope they can open in NJ or in NY. Also the place was pleasant and they have a big area of different seating.

Diana Nunes: The chicken was so delicious with a variety of spice options; we chose lime and hot options. They have much indoor seating. For drinks option they have Portuguese beer and wine! As well as other non alcoholic beverages. They have pasteis de Nata. The staff is friendly. Also they are very clean and keep covid precaution practices. After each person leaves, I noticed they cleaned the table right away. They also have contactless food ordering by scanning the barcode and ordering online with payment. I really loved coming here and hope to return again in the future.

Tarek Ghaly: Very tasty chicken, garlic bread and grilled cheese sandwiches are delicious.. we had rice and mashed potatoes as side items and they were very nice too.. staff are friendly and helpful. The restaurant is clean too.

Kathie Olson: In DC for a conference and searched for nearby restaurants. Saw this and decided to try because it sounded interesting. Everything was delish and if i lived here I’d eat here twice a week. Bringing some sauce home to share!

Brian (BriGuy71): I’ve been waiting for this day! Nando’s is reopen and all is right with the world. The chicken at this place is awesome. One of my all time favorite places to eat. When I walked in the cashier was right there to help. She was nice and friendly giving her suggestions on the food. My food came out nice and hot and someone stopped by a few minutes later to see if everything was good. Definitely a place to go when in DC!

Nando's PERi-PERi: what do users think?

Jason Persaud: Great food and great service as I’ve come to expect from most Nando’s. The place was practically empty at around 2 pm on a nice Sunday. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The space was very neat and well kept. Condiment/utensil/fountain drink area was very neat and organized. Food was ordered via scanning a QR code and through the app/website. You pay (and tip) through the app/site as well. The servers brought our food over in about 10-15 minutes. Food (wings, fries, rice and skewers) were all very good. Overall a good experience, my only issue/recommendation was more bathrooms. They currently have two (2) gender neutral bathrooms. When I was about ready to leave, I had to wait about 10-15 minutes for a bathroom to become available (both were seemingly occupied by employees). This was when the restaurant was empty….I can’t imagine how long that wait would be if the restaurant was busier. The area is nice with a lot of eating options. Parking can be tough, but there is a reasonably-priced outdoor lot at Water Street and 4th Street. ($2-$3 per hour)

Yumna Thariani: Good was amazing , unfortunately ate it all before I took some pictures. Staff is friendly, manager Giovanni was amazing !! Came and made sure everything was okay. Great service and food. This location at Navy yard is great !!

Francesca Henderson: Such a great meal! I got the chicken thighs hot with brussels sprouts and red mashed potatoes. And the ultimate blessing of this meal was the garlic bread, the best combination of moist, crispy, buttery, and warm. You have to get the garlic bread! When you get there you order from your phone so if you have questions about the menu you will have to get up to ask. Also I had terrible reception so someone had to order for me lol but it was an excellent dining experience. You can eat outdoors or indoors as well. There isn’t much free parking around but there is a parking lot that is a short walk which is $1 hour. So very affordable.

t mac: The naughty natas are to dead for so delicious. I just couldn’t get one. The chicken is always cook on the grill. Peri-Peri sauce is so good.

lokesh: Awesome food. Loved how the the chicken is grilled and their sauces are amazing

Alabama OUTSIDErs: Excellent South African chicken place with choices of different levels of spiciness. We got one hot and one mild, and neither one was any hotter than you would expect. The kids ate the mild with no problems. The sides were one of the highlights! The roasted sweet potatoes were on point. The fries (chips) and Brussels sprouts were great, too. The neighborhood was pretty shiny and new looking.

Nando's PERi-PERi: what do users think?

Eric Stander: Absolutely the best Chicken restaurant. Clean, tidy modern and welcoming. The best tasting chicken of any franchise. Perfect and tasty Flame grilled peri peri chicken. Nice menu. Drinks. Friendly and efficient staff. Easy ordering process. Delicious peri peri sauces available to purchase. Highly recommended You will be back for more

ThaLuckyOne7: My time in DC was in part shaped by the food scene. Nando’s was one of my goto restos. Didn’t think I would be able to make it one this trip, let alone the DuPont location but the Euro embassies had an open house that fateful Saturday, and I took the opportunity to walk through Foggy and around downtown. Looks like the pandemic hit this location hard as the upstairs dining room areas were closed and was rather dimly lit. The food still tasted like Nando’s but the sauces were covered in plastic wrap, silverware was sparse and the workers seemed overwhelmed. I may hit up the Arlington location on the next visit (whenever that may be…); food still pretty good!

Nikhil Nelson: Great food. I think this is by far one of the best fast/to-go food options in DC. It is far healthier than most places, and the flavors and ingredients are sit-down restaurant quality.

The Elevator and Airplane Finder: My very first time dining in at a Nando’s. Here’s my overall thoughts about the experience I had: Pros: I can’t remember what kind of chicken I got but whatever kind it was, it was delish! It certainly was cooked to perfection. Additionally, I had a side of corn and mashed potatoes. Both of which were also good. Cons: My main issue is that the night we went, the fountain drink machine was out of half of the selections available… Hopefully this issue has been resolved already. Still overall, I give ‘‘em a good 4 out of 5.

Nando's PERi-PERi: what do users think?

Justinus Adriaanse: As the world’s biggest Nando’s fan I was super excited to find this location only 100 meters from our Hotel. The store was beautiful inside and the service was fast and friendly. The food tasted fantastic, it was the perfect end to a wonderful day in DC.

SONNIE: We could smell this place from outside and had to stop in while visiting. We have several of these back in Chicago but never tried back home. Everything was amazing. Quite filling and jam packed with flavor. Nice amount of heat *spice* and good portions. Clean establishment. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Syerra Carigo: I visited this location with my sisters and friends a few weeks ago, and per usual, we loved it! Aside from the food being bomb as usual, the staff here are awesome!!! They were super friendly, welcoming, and helpful! It started to pour, and instead of watching us struggle in the rain, one person cleaned a table off inside for us, and another helped us grab our things. They were really kind, and we really appreciated it! I’m definitely looking forward to returning soon!

Laurah Githinji: I would give this place a 10 if possible. We have been visiting National harbor for several year now and each time we are satisfied. This time was even better. Warm African ambience, great music, good and friendly customer service and delicious Chicken. On 6/8/22 we self ordered but we needed the receipt. We forgot to ask for it, we went back for it and the manager on duty ( forgot to check his name, but tall slender in locks) gladly took time to search and print it for us. Great restaurant! Keep it up!

casey mutzabaugh: The employees working the evening we were there were wonderful, approachable, and hospitable. The food was great and I loved how they provided options for your preferred level of spice with the chicken entrees. You choose your seating and order your food and pay for the bill through your phone with the QR code provided at the tables. Great atmosphere and I liked the outdoor seating arrangement as well.

Old Europe: what do users think?

Vasyl Zhepikov: Hands down the best german food in US. 🇩🇪 It is not cheap imitation , but really good authentic food. Hand made sauercraft. 🤤 On pics: Sausage combo with authentic mustard. Baked brie with jam and fruits. And of course German beer. The interior is the most pleasing to say the least.

Landis Rojas: My first time here! I felt very comfortable. Also I forgot to take food pictures because the german food it was super tasty! The service is super good and attentive. Yo need a reservation in this restaurant and you really feel in s German restaurant! I really Recommend it!

Devin Nguyen: I enjoy Old Europe restaurant for its service, antique atmosphere, and certified-authentic German food! As someone who has visited Germany and Austria, I can confirm that the food is cooked according to traditional German flavors and preparation. The images I have included illustrate the restaurant’s quality and art of German culture and cuisine. My experience at this family-owned business makes me feel as if I entered a time capsule into history.

Mohan Sun: This is one of the best German restaurants in town - excellent food, great beers, and friendly owner and staff. Back before Covid, there was this old gentlemen in suspenders that would always play piano on weekends. That’s always one of my fondest memories. I had my birthday celebrations there a couple of times and they were always a blast. This restaurant veteran opened its doors in 1948 serving local customers, so please come and support them! Plus, you really can’t go wrong with a schnitzel and boot of beer!

Sam Chin: A long time local business with good authentic food and warm atmosphere. Amazing steins, cuckoo clock, and crests. They actually speak German and are good people. Support local!!

Darren H: I have been going to this place for about 18 years and love it. The desserts have recently gotten better. I always complained that the Sacher Torte was a tad dry, but this no longer seems to be the case. The appetizers, beer, and dinner are all so good that I have a hard time ordering sometimes.

Rinat Hadashi: We ate dinner: April treat, potato pancakes and schnitzel. Beverage and wine. Paid 92$.The food was tasty and very beautifully placed on the plate. The service was super nice and helpful.Recommended!

Joselito Casa de Comidas: what do users think?

Ashley Rodriguez: Excellent tapas - highly recommend!!! We had the tuba rudo, grilled octopus, Cod bueñuelos, & anchovies. Plus their white cranberry mimosa, & espresso with condensed milk 😍

Kel Millionie: This place is really quite special. Fantastic Spanish Tapas prepared with love and an upscale attention to detail, presentation, authenticity, and flavor profile. Cocktails are well-balanced, fun, and diverse. The service in this quaint cafe-like restaurant is top-notch. This place is a gem in the Eastern Market area.

Rhianna Green: Such a wonderful experience from customer service to food and drinks. Came for brunch with a group of four and stayed until dinner without feeling rushed out. The servers were extremely attentive and the food was made to perfection. We will definitely be back soon.

Marianna Du Bosq: This restaurant is a total gem! By far my favorite restaurant in DC. The food is so delicious, every single dish I have tried blows my mind! The atmosphere is relaxing and the place has great ambiance. My favorite dishes (hard to choose) are the cod fritters, pork shoulder, and anything with octopus! Also the sangria ice cubes are so fun.

Dylan Prévost: We did a multi-day food tour of DC and this restaurant was my absolute favorite. The beef took a transcendent quality in a way that mystifies me; I have no idea how they did it. Their tuna carpaccio was delightfully balanced with a house guacamole and a combination of citrus. Not a single dish fell short of excellence. This food scored better that our Michelin star venues this weekend. Though I have only been to about a dozen places, I have personally acclaimed this food as the best in DC. Their menu is rotating so you may not find some of the dishes in the photos below, but based on my experience, you really can’t go wrong with anything they prepare.

Lisa Bruce: What a lovely spot to enjoy drinks and tapas! We are big fans of Ser, their sister restaurant in Arlington. Joselito has a more European bistro vibe. Really excellent cocktails and wine, quieter setting, and don’t miss the chocolate pudding for dessert.

Boqueria Dupont: what do users think?

Stefan Tobler: Delicious food, comes out fast, great service. The waitress did a great job recommending items to us and the sangria was delicious! Get out there, go for it, try something new. You won’t regret it at Boqueria!

Ayman Mobin: Came here for the brunch experience and was overall satisfied. The portions for brunch were rather small. The lamb dish that I got was on a small plate as shown in the photo so I had to order another dish because that was not enough. The lamb dish though was delicious as well as my second order of the French toast. The mimosas and sangria as part of the brunch experience were delightful.

Desiree: What an excellent night we spent here. Found this tapas restaurant by chance over a weekend in D.C. The place was crowded with good vibes and service, try and make an appointment to avoid disappointment. Top notch quality food, the tapas were too small a plate like most tapas places. The paella made our night! We brought a bottle of wine, paid $25 corkage fee which was rather reasonable. Will come back for sure! Small down side was waiter put someone else’s items on our check, so go through that before paying!

Chris Ferrari: This is a difficult review to write, and I had a tough time figuring out how many stars to give it factoring in everything going on with Covid. Food: so exquisite, delicious, and fairly priced. Atmosphere: fun, loud, and hip. We were seated quickly and water came fast. This is where it gets tricky. It took about 25 minutes before we were able to order food. This is completely understandable considering it seemed they were short staffed which seems to be the nature of the times we live in. The noise level is quite loud so understand you won’t be having any intimate conversations here. All in all, Boqueria was a wonderful time and I would definitely come back again, I do just hope that wait staff gets more support in the future.

J C: Food was good. Safe bet to take people who are visiting. Not sure if I would go back again soon. Service was good.

Hong Hanh Dinh: Great place for Spanish tapas! The octopus was great, succulent and soft to eat. The croquettes were delicious! I love the fresh olives. The shrimp was so flavorful and amazing with the bread. I love the sangria. Since they gave us the wrong bill, they have us churros as a freebie as a nice gesture. Overall the quality of food was amazing!

Barcelona Wine Bar: what do users think?

Ling Qin: Our experience last night was exceptional. The food was delicious and the service and staff were excellent. We liked the informal but and very friendly atmosphere. Noticing that I left my phone at the table after we walked out the restaurant, the general manager Mario Pena immediately ran to us to hand me the phone for which I am very grateful. This is rare gem among the restaurants in the DC area.

Sheryl Winarick: Outside patio last night was perfect for celebrating our best friend’s birthday. The food, as always, was amazing… and it’s been a long time since I felt compelled to compliment a restaurant’s service! Our waitress Mary was like a breath of fresh air. She was kind, helpful and attentive, but she never made us feel rushed… and she gave the best wine recommendations. Thanks Barcelona and Mary for making the night so special!

David Coy: This is the second location I have been to and I am happy to say that both locations do not at all disappoint and set a high bar for a dining experience. Always excellent wine selection and incredible tapas! The chorizo and fig in balsamic vinaigrette is my favorite out of dozens of things I have tried

Ieshia E. Butler: The tapas at Barcelona were all very tasty! The wait staff were also extremely friendly and engaging. Definitely will visit again!

Mehmet Esen: Good tapas & wine bar with a warm atmosphere. The place was packed and the service was quite good. The jamon and the cheese were delicious but not so much the chorizo. The mussels, steak with mini fries, and flan were tasty while we were not thrilled with the mushroom dish. Patatos were a little dry and the eggplant dish was ok. The water smelt chlorine. Overall, we had a 4.5 star experience.

Tan Sav: I think i prefer this location. All the same trappings but more low-key. It definitely has a more welcoming neighborhood feel.

Annya Rangel: I had heard of this place and I can say that it is a great place to eat tapas and have a good time. The service is good, the drinks too, and the tapas are exquisite. The cost seems acceptable to me.

M planetmike: Delicious and lively. Service at the bar is preferred. Wonderful to have a Spanish centered restaurant in this neighborhood. We arrived on an late afternoon, around 5:30PM. There were plenty of tables at the time. Most everything was delicious from the spicy clams, broccolini, and zucchini. Must try is the squid pasta cooked in a paella style.

Eric Reid: This was our first night in DC after just moving, and WOW! The location is fantastic, with the interior dimly lit for a good date. The service was excellent, top class, especially Mario the manager of the night. The food was fantastic including the charcuterie board and the wine from the adios vino list (half price). Tapas were well prices and delicious. Now living near the cathedral, you can expect us back!

Nando's PERi-PERi: what do users think?

Grace Martinez: Good price, good service. The flavor of this food is good! A bit just a bit spicy. I liked! The mango and red orange juice and pineapple and lemon also was great!

Dam Daryl: The restaurant is clean and comfy. The workers are friendly. The food was delicious. The chicken was juicy. I chose the mild sauce and it gave a slight kick in flavor which my palette enjoyed. The salad as pictured is colorful and my taste buds were satisfied. I will be back.

Trevor Bingham: Good chicken. I ordered the bowl. Very nice service. Nice atmosphere inside and outside seating.

DJ G: What a fascinating (and delicious) concept this place is! I am a shameless sweet potato stan, and this place is an orange Nirvana for someone like me. Additionally, I visited on a Friday. For religious reasons, I do not eat meat on Fridays, and the options for people like me (as well as those who are regularly pescetarian/vegetarian/vegan) were greatly appreciated. I also must note the extremely customisable menu choices on their online ordering system, as well as the incredibly fair prices, given the high quality of the food. I would definitely recommend this place, whether you enjoy chicken, sweet potato or just a bit (or a bunch!) of spice generally.

Kevin Markman: The person who greeted us was the friendliest person on the trip. Sauces from Africa and Portugal fused are delectable and chicken is savory. Great variety of dishes in the menu.

Robert Williams: Staff was friendly and inviting. Not from DC and will likely never eat here again, but that is entirely my loss. The food was fantastic. The chicken was moist and flavorful and the sauce combo suggested by the staff of Mango Lime/Hot was completely on point. Hot enough to get your attention with just a little after burn. If anybody is in the Woodley Park area of DC, I would highly recommend stopping in for some Amazing chicken.

Barcelona Wine Bar: what do users think?

Eva Milstein-Touesnard: This food was SO good and the bread is house made fresh and complimentary! 😉 so you know we got LOTS of bread. Also, the price wasn’t too bad for dine in! The wine was also really good. And such an amazing vibe inside and outside. Overall loved it!

Nik Rama: Barcelona is always an amazing chain of restaurants to get high quality drinks and tapas. The four of us were quickly seated and ordered several tapas and drinks. The tapas were incredible (I forgot to take photos and only got one…). Empanadas were super tender and savory on the outside while encased in a crispy exterior. The other crispy fried appetizers with with cheese and meats were unique and delicious in their own ways. The view of the street from this restaurant is also great. You can watch the bustle of the city go by while enjoying the cool and shaded seating of this restaurant. The only reason for the 4 stars is because it’s a zoo here. So many people trying to come eat here leads to long lines and people loitering outside. Make sure to come during a non-peak hour to enjoy this experience itself!

Анжела Четина (Сексолог и психолог): Visited Washington from DC for two days and I am happy o could come to this cozy restaurant. In December I could eat outside thanks to heaters which is amazing, food is good quality, big variety of choices. Amazing ambiance, small piece of Spain 🇪🇸 tasty, stuff is friendly and smiling, wine is also high quality with an incredible smell. Highly recommend that place !

Erick Vivas: The food is very good! The place is beautiful but too loud! I was very happy with the tapas. All of them simply delicious.

Jay Law: Although we got seated immediately, on a Saturday nonetheless, service was slow. Now, that doesn’t take away from quality of the food but it’s definitely hinders your experience some. Which the said, the tapas style menu items are perfect for someone who like to taste and try different foods. The drinks were great and vibe was on point.. plus, it’s patio is great for afternoon eating and people watching in DC.

Alex Gonzalez: Amazing atmosphere and the Sangria is by far the best we have had. For food we had the charcuterie and the meats and cheese we had were absolutely amazing. It seems to us that they have very fresh ingredients. The staff was very friendly and service was top notch. It’s worth checking out if you live here or are from out of town and want an enjoyable dining experience. We highly recommend it. Edit 1. I forgot to talk about the bread. The freshest bread I have had at any restaurant.

Rebecca Kert: Virtually everything was a 10/10. The server had super helpful recommendations. The drinks were creative and delicious— especially the guns and rose and bourbon spice. All the tapas we ordered was delicious and the bread was wonderful. Fun atmosphere but still family friendly.

Miguel Curiel: Popular place with delicious food and drinks. This may not be the best place to have a deep and intimate conversation, but it is a great pick if you’re searching for a youthful ambiance, party-like vibes and some good Spanish meals + wine! Due to its popularity, it is strongly advised to reserve beforehand (tried to walk in once, estimated waiting period was 45 minutes which actually ended up being 2 hours i.e. it is VERY popular and entails lengthy stays).

Nando's PERi-PERi: what do users think?

Bri S: the garlic bread is amazing. the rice, hummus and pita bread, and sauce choices are also great. the food overall is good but the chicken is okay. it’s well seasoned on the top but below that, it doesn’t even seem like you can taste basic spices. it needs a lot of sauce for that part, which is the majority of the chicken. also I’ve seen blood on it several times. never gotten sick from it and the chicken has always tasted cooked so it could just be normal. either way the chicken isn’t the best but i still love the food.

Suradee Thongkiattikul: Great option for fast casual and it’s located at Ellsworth which serves as a nice spot for a simple dinner and movie. The restaurant was clean and the staff were friendly/helpful. The food was also quite tasty and we definitely recommend ordering the hot or extra hot for the chicken (you can handle it, trust me).

Alan Dennis, Baron of Cowie: Excellent chicken. Nice atmosphere and very fast take out food.

Yessenia C: Absolutely delicious. Chicken that is actually seasoned is hard to find! The lemon and herb sauce is my favorite. I love the Butterflied chicken breast with Portuguese rice. The mashed potatoes are great. Sometimes they have little charred pieces of cheese in them SO GOOD! They used to have a halumi cheese and portobello mushroom which was my go-to.

Syerra Carigo: I love Nando’s so much! I eat here all the time, literally everything on the menu is delicious! The skewers are my favorite, but I also really like their bowls and chicken thighs. The side are also delicious (if anyone from management is reading this, I miss the brussel sprouts), I love their corn (not pictured), mashed potatoes and garlic bread. And clearly, their sangria is also amazing, as I get it every time lol! This is definitely one of my favorite places to eat!

Iyshia Kirkland: I was visiting a friend, and she suggested this spot. The flavors were amazing! We placed online orders, walked over for pickup, and the service was outstanding! I even got a free app, with my 1st online order.

Old Ebbitt Grill: what do users think?

Natalia Mednikov: There are straightforward American-style food. This restaurant is best known for its huge old-school oyster bar—think lots of dark wood, brass fixtures, and big mirrors. That oysters was fantastic and fresh. We’ve enjoyed also cheese sampler, fried calamari and baked oysters. Everything they do is absolutely delicious. The service was very fast and friendly. We were happy to choose this great restaurant to end our busy day in Washington, D.C.

Aditya Karandikar: Had an awesome time here as a late night/ early next day stop. The food was quite nice and fairly refined, especially at such a late hour! The atmosphere was popping as well which made it more enjoyable. Service was very friendly and they had great oysters. Fresh complimentary bread never hurts either…

Sam M: This place is one of the more famous restaurants in DC. I visited this spot during brunch and it was packed. I would definitely recommend making a reservation for both weekend dinner and brunch services. I started with New England clam chowder and some salad dish. For entrees, I got eggs benedict and catfish. All the dishes I ordered were pretty good. But, I definitely enjoyed their desserts more even though I was pretty full before it. Their key lime pie and salted caramel bread pudding were both amazing! Staffs were very accommodating and attentive during the whole service. I’m planning to visit this restaurant and will get some oysters and burgers next time. I heard they are pretty good. I definitely recommend this place to celebrate any special occasions.

Suzi Figueroa: Wow, wow and wow! A friend recommended this establishment to me when I asked for dining recommendations for my upcoming DC trip. I am so glad I listened. The warm and inviting ambiance matched the service. And the food? Oh my goodness. Delicious. My SO ordered meatloaf. Who knew meatloaf could take on a such an extraordinary presentation.

Elaine Viegas: AMAZING! There is no other word to describe it. Since we arrived until we paid the service was perfect. I couldn’t be more happy for their food, service and kindness on my birthdays lunch. We didn’t mention that it was my birthday but they saw on my profile and as soon as I arrived they asked to confirm and no only brought my desert with a candle and a cute chocolate happy birthday place on the top. Our server was amazing, she arrived singing happy birthday, was very classy and really surprised me. Thank you for the excellence in your service. BTW the food it’s top quality, my oysters and shrimps were fresh abs really tasteful.

Jelena M: Great food, great price, great service! The waiter we had was so nice, knowledgeable, and friendly! The calamari was very good, but watch out for the spicy peppers in it . My salad was yummy! I usually never order salads, but I am glad I did as the dressing was citrusy and refreshing! They also give warm bread and butter while you wait 😍

Nando's PERi-PERi: what do users think?

Angel PT: Nando’s Peri Peri is awesome! Really good chicken and sides! The perry perry chicken sandwich is amazing! The chicken wings are phenomenal! My friend loves their chicken breast. They have so many sauces which is one of my favorite parts. Some of my favorite sides are the Peri Peri chips with the perinnaise sauce, the coleslaw, and the macho peas. All the sauces are good. Prices can be a little high but you get a good meal. This is the place I love to eat when I go outside.

Brian Copes: Actually went on a first date here one chilly night. Good amount of food and sides for the money. Love the variety of sauces customers get to add to their chicken and even clean bathrooms too. Good food, but bad date that night. If you are looking for a tasty chicken restaurant give them a chance.

Jack Freeman: Great atmosphere with large windows facing the street. We bought the Red Sangria, Chicken Sandwich, and Quinoa salad. They allow you to choose your side and give appropriate portions. Staff is very helpful. It’s fast casual, so they sit you down but you go to the counter to order, then they bring you the food. For all the chicken you can choose your level of spice (I recommend medium). Love the ambiance, I’d definitely recommend (especially the sangria pitcher!)

D Le: This is probably the smallest location we have been to but the quality doesn’t disappoint. The staff is also friendly.
