Shake Shack: what do users think?
Katie d
Katie d: I came two days ago and them burgers were hitting so good & the workers were so nice and patient. I just seen them other reviews like no this is a 5 star experience I had, like how can milkshake even be melted? Yes I’m throwing shade. These workers need a raise idc!! They working their a$$ off !!!!
Response: Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. It always makes us happy to hear feedback like yours!
Carson Peck
Carson Peck: Solid little fast food joint. Burgers seem very legit and fries are solid. Fast food done properly.
Response: Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. It always makes us happy to hear feedback like yours!
Eric Cunningham
Eric Cunningham: I am not typically one to write bad reviews, but I am thinking that management would want to know about this experience. We were in from out of town and I was excited to try Shake Shack for the first time. We just started getting locations in my city and I have heard it is excellent. We went to this location late in the evening on 4/16. The computers for ordering were left on all the way up until close and this was the source of the problem. Workers began closing early and became verbally frustrated with the customers still waiting on their food. An employee started mopping the floors without wringing it out, leaving large amounts of standing water on the floor without wet floor signs. Moving around was very difficult. The same employee said the bathroom was closed and another overheard and said it was fine. When we received our food, my significant other checked our bag because we overheard other customers getting frustrated they were being told various items were “out” after the receipt was paid and they had waited on the food. It was clear the employees had shut down various equipment and had no interest in turning anything back on. The same was with our order so she said something. The employee quickly snapped at her and began speaking very disrespectfully. Upon hearing this another customer who was also spoken to in appropriately stood up for my significant other and things spiraled from there. The verbal altercation turned into physical and it appeared a brawl was beginning. I saw at least one punch thrown and we quickly exited the restaurant to safety. All in all this was a very poor representation of the Shake Shack chain, and a very bad first experience for us.
Response: Thank you so much for your feedback. This is concerning and we’d like to investigate this further. Could you email us at feedback@shakeshack.com so that we can grab your details? Thanks, Jake
James Nelson
James Nelson: Burgers are good, chicken bites where soaked in oil, fries would have been good but not enough cheese and there was not enough bacon on them. Second fries had seasoning piled on top. Could have been done much better and it was not busy at that time
Response: James, Thank you for your feedback. It's disappointing to read that your meal wasn't up to our standards. We can do better than what you've experienced, so we'd love to invite you back to the Shack. Could you email us your review at share@shakeshack.com so we can get in touch? Thank you again, The Shake Shack Team
SkizzySami 2
SkizzySami 2: I really enjoyed theses burgers ! They were freshly made and there were fast . This was the first place that had amazing customer service and actually got my order right ! I will definitely be coming back soon !
Response: We appreciate the positive vibes! Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback.
Alok Sinha
Alok Sinha: Came here a few times during my visit to Washington D.C. Had the buffalo chicken sandwich and it was really good. The service was fast and the staff was friendly. Would recommend coming here if you are in the area.
Response: Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. It always makes us happy to hear feedback like yours!
Ryan Smith
Ryan Smith: I ordered cheese fries, a bacon cheeseburger, and a milkshake, and there wasn’t a single thing right with my whole order. Gave me just cheese and no fries, no bacon on the burger, and a melted milkshake with no straw. I understand one mistake, but this is ridiculous. Pay a fair wage and hire good workers.
Response: Ryan, Thanks so much for your feedback. I’m so sorry about the recent experience you had at our Shack. We work hard to make sure each order is correct, and we are sorry this wasn't the case this time for you. We can do better than what you've experienced, so we'd love to invite you back to the Shack. Could you email us your review at share@shakeshack.com so we can get in touch? Thank you again, The Shake Shack Team
Tracey Mangham
Tracey Mangham: In the heart of DC its a popular place. Busy as expected so the wait was a few minutes longer than usual. Food is good and seating was plentiful.
Response: It always makes us happy to hear feedback like yours! Thanks for taking the time to leave a review.
Jade
Jade: horrible customer service. lazy workers. always on the phone. they act like they don’t wanna be there. I placed an order the girl at the front asked me my name. waited 20 mins. my food is as just sitting there. what’s the point of asking for names if you’re not going to call. won’t be coming back.
Response: Jade, Thanks so much for your feedback. We pride ourselves on our hospitality and work hard to provide a seamless pickup experience, so this is disappointing. We can do better than what you've experienced, so we'd love to invite you back to the Shack. Could you email us your review at share@shakeshack.com so we can get in touch? Shake Shack: what do users think?
Eric E
Eric E: Shake Shack, in comparison to others in the same category, is a dissent fast food/ burger place. However, the difference between branches is the services. To me, this branch seems to be on a slow side of service. Anyway, my strawberry shake and Shake Stack were both good, as expected.🍔🍧
Response: It always makes us happy to hear feedback like yours! Thanks for taking the time to leave a review.
mars shabazz
mars shabazz: This was hands down the best fast food experience ever. The buns and burgers were mouth watering. The fries were cooked to perfection. The shakes were perfectly thickened. This was so good that we even changed our phone lock screens to shake shack. There was a wonderful lady i believe to be on clean up duty who’s beautiful personality really made our experience. And a big shout out to our homie in the back flipping burgers 🍔 if anyone know his instagram @ lmk💯

G LP
G LP: Thanks again Romano for providing such excellent service and high quality food…and of course the delicious shakes!!! He took the time to educate me more on the Shake Shack brand in regards to the high standards for what goes into the delicious burgers they provide. Overall great experience and pretty convenient, clean and friendly location!!! Stop by and see for yourself!!!! Most of the food and shake are already in digestion town 😊 IG: @masterpeace_beauty
Neynna Karpuzyan
Neynna Karpuzyan: I really want to give more stars however the employees are not amicable. It’s feels tense inside. I am only giving this place three stars because at the end one of the cooks was near the door and helped us get out the door with our 4 suitcases 😀. I am not sure why most of the employees look so glum. Anyway first time back in DC since 1992. Please employees cheer up! Food was good as usual.
Response: Neynna, Thanks for taking the time to reach out. We are disappointed to hear about your experience during this visit. It is important to us that you feel welcomed and serviced well by our team. We'd like to follow up with you. Alans Steedman
Alans Steedman: This was my first Shake shake experience, will probably be the last one. The lady at the cash register seemed disinterested and was rude. She only barked one word to me and that was “Name” for my order. It took some time For the staff behind the counter to make up My order of 2 drinks as they seemed more interested in their phones or messing around with each other.
Response: Alans, Thank you for your feedback. I’m so sorry about your experience at our Shack. We pride ourselves on our hospitality, so this is extremely disappointing. We can do better than what you've experienced, so we'd love to invite you back to the Shack. Could you email us your review at share@shakeshack.com so we can get in touch? Thank you again, The Shake Shack Team
Jeff Breitenbuecher
Jeff Breitenbuecher: Portions are small and not worth how much they charge for it. Their milk shake is almost $6 dollars. Their simplest hamburger that is the one on the picture below, it is also close to $6. It felt like a steel, but I had to try it once to say at least I have tried this fast food chain.
Abi Maghamfar
Abi Maghamfar: Good tasting burgers. Another positives about Shake Shack is that they serve beer and they have gluten-free buns ($1 extra). French fries are good but $3.09 for a small serving is overpriced. $35 for 2 burgers, 2 fries, a milkshake and a beer,
George Mwasumbi
George Mwasumbi: Was my first time at Shake Shack, and for the most part the food was worth the excitement. The burger was juicy and beefy, and the fries were extra crispy. The only downside would be that the food is extremely expensive - even though the food was good, the price is still a little too much.
Benjamin Thomas
Benjamin Thomas: The food is really tasty. I ordered a BBQ burger, and it has a nice sized Patty, good thick bacon and large pickles. Bit expensive, but good nonetheless.

Southwest Soda Pop Shop: what do users think?
Kristy Kairos
Kristy Kairos: Mango ice cream was incredibly good. Lemonade drink to die for. Proud to say it’s black business owned. Great for your sweet tooth needs. Will be going back again.
Kris
Kris: Amazing shop! Staff is super friendly ! Not only is the ice cream options amazing the food options are good! Definitely recommend
Nick Webster
Nick Webster: Southwest Soda Pop Shop is a cute outdoor ice cream and soda stand. Serving soft serve and scoop ice creams , floats, and sodas. A wonderful stop on the north end of the newly opened DC Wharf. Look closely for the shop since there is still a lot of construction. It is located on Maine Ave directly in front of the Seafood Market. There is ample bench seating under a shaded awning. It will be even nicer to visit once the construction is completed.
Shenita Y White
Shenita Y White: Best soft serve ice cream ever! It is so smooth and creamy with just the right amount of sweetness and vanilla! I had vanilla in a medium cup (but wish I gotten the large). There’s always tomorrow! Sorry about the photo, it was basically gone by the time I thought to take a picture.
Dondré
Dondré: This is a great outdoor quick ice cream shop. The staff is cool and the smoothie I ordered was good. They offer all kinds of ice cream, banana splits, milk shakes, smoothies and more. They have ice cream sandwhiches made of real cookies and your choice of ice-cream flavor.
Roniqua Jeffries
Roniqua Jeffries: So good! A must stop ice cream shop at the wharf on the fresh seafood side. Pictured is the cherry blossom ice cream sandwich on sugar cookies. Ask about their secret menu. This is a walk up shop with no indoor seating. There are some pub tables outside. On my last visit they were selling hotdogs and half smokes as well as ice cream.
Margie Nguyen
Margie Nguyen: Waited in line for about 20 minutes around 2:00 on a Saturday. Very nice people and great treats! Can’t wait to come back and try other flavors! Wanted to come out to support a local black owned family business!
Raiana Berman
Raiana Berman: Heard some great reviews and always ready to support a B.O.B., I decided to try it out for myself a few weeks ago. My friend got a chipwich and really enjoyed it. I ordered the cake explosion and immediately saw a hair baked into the brownie sitting right on top. The line to address this was over 30 min wait so I threw it out and took a loss. Customer service could be better and possibly more seating to accommodate all the customers in their long line.

Thomas Sweet: what do users think?
Amy Workman
Amy Workman: Tons of options and good prices. Everything we had was delicious. Some seating outside. Cute spot in Georgetown. We were visiting DC and wanted to check out Georgetown and also needed a good ice cream spot which where were staying in Foggy Bottom seamed to be lacking, so this was perfect.
Ryan Bibler
Ryan Bibler: We had to wait in line outside the shop for a while but it was worth the wait. The ice cream was great. Our kids loved it. We would go back.
Matilde C Calderon
Matilde C Calderon: There is always a line especially when the weather is warm. Thomas has a lot of unique ice cream flavors. My personal favorite is their Coffee Oreo. They also have chocolate, milkshakes, and froyo.
K S Zanika
K S Zanika: Last time I lived in Georgetown in 1984. Place still looks about the same and they still serve good ice cream. Great to see the place is still in business after all these years. Highly recommended.
Derin Jose
Derin Jose: Amazing. That’s the only way to describe this place. The ice cream was probably the best that I’ve had. They have a lot flavours to choose from and it would take a long time to try them all. If I lived in dc , I would definitely try every single item on their menu. This is my go to spot in dc for desserts. The only downside is that it closes by 10:30pm.
Mark Blanchard
Mark Blanchard: Best ice cream in the DMV. Dozens of flavors to choose from. Typically I prefer gelato, and simple flavors, but this place has nailed ice cream. The staff is not very friendly, but their toppings are generous (eg they add 4 full Oreos as a topping whereas other places give you a crumble from half an Oreo).
Ellie Gabriella
Ellie Gabriella: This place has a lot of options! Tons of flavors of fudge and ice cream! I didn’t try the ice cream but really loved the dark chocolate salted caramel fudge! Delicious! It’s amazing that they make it in house! The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because neither of the employees working had gloves on while handling the food. I didn’t even see them wash their hands when coming out of the back room. I didn’t want to mention it at the time because the staff didn’t give off a friendly vibe. If the health department came by they wouldn’t be permitted to work that way. But again, the fudge is delicious and has great flavor!
Rachel Rachel
Rachel Rachel: Awesome selection of ice cream flavors, toppings, cones, literally anything ice cream-related that you could want is here. The serving sizes are also huge. The man working at the front is such a sweet person, too. Oh, and there’s outdoor seating, in case you have a dog or bike. I would definitely recommend this place and I’d go back again.

Mount Desert Island Ice Cream: what do users think?
Elizabeth Dou
Elizabeth Dou: The best ice cream place in the area! Super clean inside with friendly staff. Lots of fun flavors including the standard chocolate and vanilla. The ice cream was creamy and flavorful. The lemon berry poppy seed was a unique flavor that tasted amazing. There is a small outdoor seating area with a benches next door.
Bradley Farster
Bradley Farster: My daughter and I love this place! They have some very creative flavors, and their recipes have natural ingredients and flavorings. Their maple walnut is amazing, and my daughter loves the gluten-free/dairy-free blueberry basil sorbet. Be sure to check it out if you are in the area!
Jessica Long
Jessica Long: Went there last night. We got the salted caramel, which was a little too salty. We got the coffee, which was good to me, but too bitter to my girlfriend. We got the pralines and cream, which we thought was the best. We got the pretzel and toffee, which needed more toffee to pretzel ratio and not just dark chocolate. It was weird that the single allowed for 1.5 flavors, but the double couldn’t accommodate 3 flavors with 1 full scoop and two half scoops. Hence why we got some many flavors because I had to upgrade to the triple. We got one other flavor, but unsure what it was. There is a long line at night, but they didn’t cut us off, which was nice. There’s are to sit outside the shop, which was also nice.
Alicia D
Alicia D: A balance between some staples and a rotation in of new flavors keep me coming back. The cones are fresh, but they may run out of the waffle cone in the evening. The first time I went, I was disappointed by the tiny scoop size, but since then, they have been more generous with the scoop. I forget to take a picture every time, but the pictures from the other reviews reflect what I have had and seen.
Amy Chiou
Amy Chiou: You can get two flavors in a single which is just so fun. I loved their buttermint which I paired with cookies and cream for a wonderful combination. My friend said her strawberry paired with lemon was fantastic. We may have gone two days in a row...
Megan Miller
Megan Miller: Bay of Figs is my favorite ice cream flavor on the planet. I live in Colorado and I’ve tried to reproduce it at home with no luck. It’s smooth, creamy, sweet, bitter. So. Good.
J C
J C: Came on a friday night and they didnt have waffle cones??? Besides that the ice cream was pretty average. I did not like the Kulf(?) flavor. The blueberry one was good. Im highly critical of Jeni’s and Jeni’s is better than this.
J Acharya
J Acharya: Very fun creative flavors! Highly recommend getting the blueberry sour cream crumble!

Good Stuff Eatery: what do users think?
Elizabeth Dou
Elizabeth Dou: The burger is pretty good, a little heavier and greasier than expected. The bun gets kind of soggy with all the toppings. Burger is also on the smaller side. Price range for a burger is greater than $9 depending on your toppings. Fries aren’t crispy and more on the soft/soggy side despite being served hot. There is a place upstairs to eat as well as outside seating. I think Five Guys and Shack Shack are on par with this burger place.
Kyle Van Hecke
Kyle Van Hecke: Things I like: Good burgers and shakes! Fries are actually really good too (despite some of the reviews suggesting otherwise) but you have to eat them fresh. They put all their fries immediately into a sealed paper bag so they will get soggy unless you eat them at the restaurant. They also have a selection of fry dipping sauces that are good! Things I dislike: the burger size could definitely be bigger. I do eat a lot but I can easily finish 2 burgers in one sitting (which is waaaay too expensive for my budget). Their beer selection is pretty underwhelming too, they only have 1 option at the moment. Finally, they charge a 5% “COVID surcharge.” I absolutely understand the time we live in but just be honest and raise your prices… don’t add on a hidden 5% fee. Fees like this feel very dishonest to me and that’s why I knocked them down from 4 to 3 stars.
TRAM HA
TRAM HA: Came here cause it was close to the Capitol and had lots of reviews. To be honest I’m not sure why cause the food was ok. Burgers tasted alright. The fries were not good but better with the thyme and rosemary. I think it’s also the oil in fries that I didn’t like. Also ordered two shakes. Salted caramel (my mom liked that) and a cookies n cream shake that of course didn’t have enough cookies. It was pretty much a vanilla shake. Maybe it was just the workers that day cause they weren’t that friendly. You know when you don’t want to be at work and others can tell? Yeah it was like that.
Charlie Sanders
Charlie Sanders: One of the best burgers I’ve ever had, and reasonably priced as well. The Prez was definitely worth the money, and the rest of my crew loved the burgers they got. The toasted marshmallow milkshake was heavenly. If I was a legislative staffer I’d be eating here everyday.

Larry's Homemade Ice Cream: what do users think?
Audrey Osburn
Audrey Osburn: Larry’s is awesome! Wonderfully homemade ice cream without so many of the additional ingredients/preservatives/emulsifiers that big companies use. Not to mention Larry himself was there! He’s a gentleman and made my boyfriend I feel welcome and made us laugh. Great atmosphere and ice cream here.
Response: Thank you for coming to Larry's and for your sweet review❣️ We are so pleased you enjoyed your Homemade Ice Cream❣️
Lloyd Spencer
Lloyd Spencer: My vanilla chocolate chip ice cream cone with a perfect ending to a very long day. Homemade ice cream that is very creamy and actually made by the owner.👍👍
Response: Thank you for your sweet review! We're so happy you enjoyed your ice cream cone!
Nate B
Nate B: This place was great. The ice cream was really good. Service was fantastic. It is a little hidden gem that has been there over 30 years. I would definitely recommend this place.
Response: Thank you for your Sweet review! We think you're a gem too!
Sophronia Vachon
Sophronia Vachon: This place truly is a hidden gem! The ice cream was delicious and not too sugary, prices were reasonable for the part of town (near Dupont Circle). But the best part is the owner Larry! He has a sarcastic sense of humor and had us laughing the entire time. I think some people mistake his humor for rudeness, but we loved it.
Response: Thanks for your sweet stars and sweet review!
Eamon Kostopulos
Eamon Kostopulos: Larry is a just man who has been put on this Earth to do one thing, serve delicious ice cream. His loving but firm attitude is purely for efficiency. If you have had a bad experience at this place it is purely because you didn’t live up to Larry’s standards. The ice cream is top notch in DC and I can easily say I will be going again.
Response: Thank you, finally someone who understands Larry! We are, so please you had a great experience and will be coming back. Can't wait to see you again❣️
Lacey LeCroy
Lacey LeCroy: Best ice cream. It has that homemade creamy flavor. The strawberry cheesecake flavor is amazing. My son says it is the best vanilla he has ever had. And Larry is a funny guy too.
Response: Thank you for your sweet review! We're very happy your little man loved his Vanilla ice cream!
Holly Gross
Holly Gross: Just wrapping up our trip in DC and stopped by for ice cream. Excellent selection and so tasty! Larry kept us entertained too. Funny guy!
Response: Thank you for your sweet review and visiting Larry's during your trip into DC!
MATIAS STIPICEVIC ETCHEGARAY
MATIAS STIPICEVIC ETCHEGARAY: The worst experience I’ve ever had in Washington DC. Larry was rude, disrespectful and denigrated my family because we are Latin. Absolutely shameful and disgusted by his attention. I don’t recommend this place at all. You can buy ice cream from CVS a block from here and its way better and overall will be a happier experience. Don’t come to this place.
David Goldstein
David Goldstein: Been here before and prices were much higher than they should be, but ok it’s DuPont. Came in tonight and the gentleman behind the counter had such a rude tone and just came across grouchy. If you’re going to charge over $6 for a cookie bar the service better be top notch. There are other places more worth your dollars than this one.
Response: Hello Mr.Goldstein, It's a shame you feel that way Sir. The cookie you refer to is called the Incredible Cookie. It is a 5 layer brownie that has been made by us since 1984, nearly 40 yrs. We are one of the institutions whch have survived more than two resetions, roits and now covid. We are not rich enough to use cheap ingredients and sell mediocre goods. When asked if it is any good, in reference to products we've sold for so long, we usually always answer back with sarcastic humor. Lawrence J Cenkci Owner

Ben's Chili Bowl: what do users think?
Oi Lin “Chinagirl568” Wong
Oi Lin “Chinagirl568” Wong: Walk in and order, they will bring you your food. There are a few tables up front, in the middle and in the back. Pictures of famous people all over the walls. Even have a TV playing with more pictures. This is a DC landmark. The place is fun to check out. But the chili was just ok... Service was good.
Evan S
Evan S: A must try when coming to DC! I loved eating here.. everyone wears masks and are nice and friendly.. the hot dog was okay.. the burger and chili bowl with rice is what shined.. check it out
Trent Hinek
Trent Hinek: I don’t know what else can be said of this diner. The half smoke is one of the best Chile dogs you can have and their milkshakes just compliment the spiciness of the chili. You really should seek it out if you’re anywhere near U Street in DC. Just make sure you go to the original one. Their new one in the convention center is only open during events.
Sam M
Sam M: One of the more famous restaurants in DC and rightfully so! I visited this place several times after the venues in U street. From Obama to Bourdain, a lot of famous people have been to place and it is been tourist’s attraction for DC. As soon as you walk into the restaurant, you can tell this place has been around for a long time. I ordered their famous half smoke chili dog, chili cheese fries and milkshake. Probably one of the best chili I ever had and beef dog was cooked really well. Even the milkshake was pretty good too. It is a perfect late night food after the venue or a few drinks. I was there pretty late during the weekend and there were plenty of drunk people there. I highly recommend this place for some good chili and half smoke dog!
Jean Ng
Jean Ng: Milkshake ☑️ Chili Bowl ☑️ Hot Dog ☑️ Onion Rings ☑️ What else are you waiting for !? Get your bum here already at this most soulful diner in town. Its definitely a DC institution with wonderful food. Many famous people have frequent this joint over the years and you can sit where Obama sat. It was a weekday lunch hour and thank god its not filled with tourist and the line moves quickly at the counter. By the way the white outdoor tents doesnt belong to Ben’s Last but not least, it was the google ad about BEN’s that brought us here from NYC. So thank you google !!

Z Burger Tenleytown: what do users think?
Stephen Knotts
Stephen Knotts: This is the ABSOLUTE Best Chicken sandwich my wife and I have ever tried! The employees are extremely nice and friendly. The owner came out and greeted us to make sure we enjoyed our visit. I was overwhelmed by his hospitality. This is a MUST HAVE location here in Washington DC!
Adam Getliff
Adam Getliff: Excellent food and Service. The food was very hot when I took my first bite…so maybe wait a few minutes after you get your food to dig in! The older gentleman who helped us at the front was very kind and brought us ketchup to our table for our fries without even asking him. The amount of fries you get is unbelievable, more than enough for everyone to have some! Very tasty too! They have a sign out front saying “Covid free zone”..made me laugh, but they actually have some air cleaners hanging throughout the establishment to clean the air. Overall I was very pleased with my visit here.
Kev- keepingitreal
Kev- keepingitreal: Our burgers was juicy, hot and flavorful. They will load you up with plenty of nice warm flavor French fries in a cup inside a bag, the french fries flavor remind me, when I used to get boardwalk french fries back in the day. The milkshake was flavorful as well. Great staff and friendly atmosphere.
Victor
Victor: I pass Z Burger at least once a day, parking here is intimidating but I got the courage to illegal park and risk it. I ordered a double cheese burger fully loaded. The burger tasted great no complains the burger and toppings fit in this bun they use allot of fountain drinks were out of order and had a funny taste.
Tony Vega
Tony Vega: This place has excellent french fries, kind of boardwalk style. One large portion was enough for the three of us. Also So glad they have chicken sandwich here now.
Moises F. Koodsi-Sotelo
Moises F. Koodsi-Sotelo: The staff was very attentive and the clientele seemed to be regulars from the neighborhood giving off a dive-bar kinda of vibe. The single burger is more than enough for my appetite. And if you are an onion ring lover! I do recommend you get some.

Isabel de Oliveira: delicious milkshakes with an incredible assortment of flavors!!! also, the employees are all super nice. they’re open until 4 am on friday and saturday which really helps me with my late night sugar cravings. great for a summer night out with college friends :)
Bereket Belay
Bereket Belay: Was a great first time for me and my girlfriend. Eli took care of us in the front and gave us the rundown of what to expect. Great time and great food for a great price as well. Definitely recommend!!!
Chido Enweze
Chido Enweze: Fries were good. Went there for milkshakes but they did not have any. Was able to get a float tho. That was good. Overall good experience no issues

Shake Shack: what do users think?
MO WASEEM
MO WASEEM: I live at the Wharf and never eat here.. why?? Because ate from this location a long time ago and food was terrible. Came back today thinking maybe first time was a fluke… haaaa, was I wrong.. I ordered a plain burger… I don’t even know what that is in my pic. I mean it’s meat but looks like a loaf of brown bread.. I think they just don’t care because mostly tourist eat here and they don’t have to worry about repeat customers. Wonder if corporate know about these things..
Response: Mo, Thank you for your feedback. It's disappointing to read that your burger wasn't up to our standards. We can do better than what you've experienced, so we'd love to invite you back to the Shack. Could you email us your review at share@shakeshack.com so we can get in touch? Thank you again, The Shake Shack Team
Mike Morton
Mike Morton: Would have been better off going to McDonald’s. Staff was rude from the start. Was told that the ice cream machine was broken, so no shakes… at the shake shop… okay. Lady at the counter (Zaya) then said, “They have a Ben & Jerry’s down the way. Our ice cream isn’t very good anyway.” We drove all the way from Hershey, PA to eat here. Very disappointed. Food was okay. My daughter liked her burger. Would definitely not return. We did enjoy Hank’s Oyster Bar. They were GREAT!
Response: Mike, Thank you for your feedback.
LaurieAnn White
LaurieAnn White: I love chicken bacon avocado sandwiches so I tried Shake Shacks. It was ok. Bacon was crispy. Could use a tomato and onions.
Response: It always makes us happy to hear feedback like yours! Thanks for taking the time to leave a review.
Tiffany Brandell
Tiffany Brandell: Very, very good food. I had a hot dog with cheese, and it was better than I thought it was going to be. The shakes are, of course, perfection! Service here was pretty fast, especially considering how busy they were. My only negative part of the experience was how dirty the bathrooms were.

Shake Shack: what do users think?
Drew Kenyon
Drew Kenyon: Great restaurant with great staff near the national archives. My wife and I ordered a hotdog, shack chicken, French fry, and a chocolate shake and it cost around $23 plus tip. I’ve never liked crinkle cut French fries until now! They were delicious! The hot dog was super good and my wife loved the shack chicken sandwich!! The star of the show was definitely the chocolate shake! Super rich, thiccc, and creamy chocolate ice cream Hand spun into a shake???? You bet. Good lunch spot if you’re touring the notional mall! I took away one star because the bathroom didn’t have seat protectors, paper towels, and the toilet seat was…. Not attached correctly. It was also kinda dirty. Fix the bathroom and I’ll make it 5/5!
Response: We appreciate the positive vibes! Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback.
Micah Trostle
Micah Trostle: Ultimately, at the end of the day you have to respect the food that comes out of this place. I brought my friends here that we’re visiting from Papua New Guinea and it was their first time trying Shake shack and they were ecstatic about it! You’ll spend a pretty penny here but it’s definitely worth it I would suggest the outdoor seating as you can see the hustle and bustle of DC go by while you eat! Pro tip if you don’t like spicy food do not order the peppers on top of the burger! (:
Response: We appreciate the positive vibes! Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback.
Rene Alvarenga
Rene Alvarenga: I try the SmokeShack and I love it. Even when they forgot to put meat in one of our burgers, they are good and the staff super nice people.

Jon Doyle
Jon Doyle: 1St time here, 3rd time @ a ShakeShack and will never return to the chain. This location had RUDE employees... the cashier seemed to get a tude when I didnt opt to tip her (you get paid a full wage to take my order, punching buttons... your not even cooking so no, Im not giving you $5 tip!). We waited a long time and got the food. The girl handing the food out was nasty and rude! I asked for bbq sauce nicely and she eye rolled me and said something rude at me under her breath, grabbed other food, n walked away... another girl apologized and got for me! I saw staff touching their faces during food prep and just not having any care... All our burgers were a soggy, greasy, slophole of a mess. Meat tasted like it was bland n BOILED. Fries BLAND and unsalted and not crunch not warm even. Milkshakes were nasty... half melty. Pretty disgusting $60 lunch for 3 people! Bathrooms STUNK of sewage and were unkept. Urine all over the seat and trash can over flowing. Putrid thst my son and fiance had to go in there. Usually rude and unfriendly staff. INSANLEY over priced and not sure why.......... never again.
Response: Jon, we're disappointed to hear about your experience. This really isn't close to the standards we set for ourselves at Shake Shack. We'd love to invite you back, and make it right. Could you email us your review at share@shakeshack.com, so we can get in touch? Thank you again, The Shake Shack Team
Rebecca Bagley
Rebecca Bagley: First time visiting a shake shack. I got a simple shake burger and fries and a cookies and cream milkshake . They were all delicious . I will definitely visit again!
Response: It always makes us happy to hear feedback like yours! Thanks for taking the time to leave a review.
Ben Rylander
Ben Rylander: Was excited to come. I love burgers, and places like this. Was excited to see they had a couple things on draft. They were out of their own Shake Shack beer, I understand it happens but was excited to try. Food was good, not great. Would go back if I lived near here. Very busy place. Good place to eat. No negatives besides the beer being out but they can’t help that to a certain extent.
Response: Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. It always makes us happy to hear feedback like yours!

Five Guys: what do users think?
Nitzan Ainemer
Nitzan Ainemer: First time in Five Guys, we are non American. We came to try the burgers and fries. The staff were nice but some were impatient. The normal cheeseburger has two patties, and it’s massive. Too big for us. The taste was ok.
Evan Zimmern
Evan Zimmern: Food might be fine but management is terrible. both my friends had their masks on. Everyone in the place had no masks since they were eating. Was denied a mask when I asked for one and instead of being able to sit down and my friends ordered for me, I was told to try the restaurant down the street for a mask. It has been a long time since I left a 1 star. Nice management. Workers wasn’t the problem.
Response: Hi Evan. This is far from a Five Guys experience. We're sorry to hear this. If you choose, could you contact us so we can escalate this to our local management team? You can call us at 866-345-GUYS or 24/7 at: www.fiveguys.com/contact-us
Apostolos Kyprios
Apostolos Kyprios: Love the food, hate the service. They forgot my burgers bacon. I didn’t realize until I got home because it was takeout. This isn’t the first issue I’ve had here. Very disappointed but the food is good overall if it’s correct.
Nathan Viehland
Nathan Viehland: Love their salted caramel shakes. Their hamburgers are good but very greasy.
Josh Pence
Josh Pence: Ate here while out touring Washington DC. Masks are required and you must show a vaccination card in order to eat inside. The staff was friendly, the service was fast and the food was delicious as it always is. For more of my reviews on restaurants and other places of interest, follow me on Google reviews
WB L
WB L: Very clean, staff clears tables fast. However, fries woefully salty and the burger patty was bland.
Keri Robinson
Keri Robinson: Always a great burger. The fries, while plentiful, were a little undercooked. Fast friendly service, but they Don’t start cooking your burger until you order, so be prepared to wait a few minutes for that great tasting hamburger. Like most locations this five guys has the select the choice Coke machines offering a great variety of Coke products at the press of a button. This location offers plenty of inside dining and it is kept very clean. I was pleased to see an employee walking through the dining area with a small bucket and cleaning towel taking care of the many tables. Conveniently located a block from the McPherson Square metro station on I Street, a great location for a quick and tasty meal. Don’t forget the all you can eat peanuts.
Carlos Gumataotao
Carlos Gumataotao: First time eating here. I think I prefer it over In-N-Out, which is one of my favorites. Same type of freshly made burgers with fresh ingredients.

Ice Cream Jubilee: what do users think?
Vikram Seshadri
Vikram Seshadri: Interesting flavors I have never had before. Some of the flavors I tried were too strong for an ice-cream (Smoked ones..). Definitely had some interesting flavors that you gotta try.
chandrima deuri
chandrima deuri: Loved this place that I accidently discovered on our visit. I tried two of the flavors from their special cherry blossom festival menu and loved them both. The smoked vanilla cherry sakura had a strong smoked flavor which was a unique experience for me since I have never tasted smoked flavor ice cream before. The orange blossom tea cake
Nik Rama
Nik Rama: WOW. Incredible ice cream flavors all around. They had so many wild flavors that all sounded delicious! We were able to sample a few and then order a giant 2-scoop cup at a very reasonable price. I got the passionfruit and guava sorbet as well as the cookies & cookie dough ice cream. The passionfruit and guava sorbet was incredible. Tart, sweet, fruity, and silky smooth as a sorbet. It was incredible, and those two fruits pair really well! It was so refreshing on a hot day. The cookies & cookie dough was surprisingly better than I thought it would be. I expected a decent and familiar ice cream, but this was another level. The pieces of Oreo’s were big and chunk and a little soft to allow for a more pleasant and homogeneous bite. The cookie dough was also chunk and such a high quality cookie dough. Overall this is an incredible ice cream spot if you’re looking for a non-chain location that serves high quality and unique ice cream.
pradyuman mehta
pradyuman mehta: I absolutely love their ice-cream but every single time I have gone the lady who serves the ice-cream has the WORST attitude. The only thing that keeps me going back is the mango and marshmallow ice cream. They should realize that if they keep treating customers like this, they will lose all of them. This particular lady is even rude to their own staff. Jeni’s ice cream which is walking distance from here has great ice-cream and AMAZING SERVICE. No wonder they have a bigger wait and are more popular…
A
A: Best ice cream in DC hands down!! The banana bourbon caramel flavor is to die for!! I buy the pint sometimes. Always delicious 👍
Michael Ciurea
Michael Ciurea: The Thai tea ice cream flavor is on my top three best ice cream flavors ever. It legit tastes like a good cup of Thai tea. They also have great seasonal and occasional flavors that you should check out. This place has won many local and regional awards for their ice cream, and they’re all well earned. Great service and wonderful ice cream.
Danny Kim
Danny Kim: Ice Cream Jubilee is a nice small ice cream shop with plenty of delicious flavors to choose! I went with the chocolate waffle cone with 3 flavors of ice cream, Thai Iced Tea, Marionberry, and Honey Lemon Lavender. The good: Each ice cream flavor was exceptionally delicious! The taste was sweet and the flavor was strong so you can actually taste the flavor ordered! My favorite is probably the Thai Iced Tea, so I will be happy to return to order more of this! Overall, definitely will be making a return trip! Love the flavors, and want to try them all.

Rita Moore
Rita Moore: Friendly and fast customer service. The food was hot and my burger was cooked well done asked requested. Thank you.
Peter Spies

jaime garcia pelayo bribiesca
jaime garcia pelayo bribiesca: I am at the store right now and 2 of their 3 cooks are wearing the mask down. Mentioned to who seems to be manager since he is wearing a black shirt. Josiah Dahlstrom
Josiah Dahlstrom: Good burger and fries from my home state - good to see spuds from Idaho. The burgers and shakes were great and came pretty quick. There’s not a a lot of sitting but the people watching and traffic was fun to watch.
rodrigo calderon
rodrigo calderon: Second time visiting this place and I guess the quality and craft of making awesome burgers has come down. Good burgers and fries…but just not what it used to be.
J Z
J Z: I had the farmhouse burger and fries. Meh. Burger size is pretty small for the price. The burger patty isn’t that much different in taste than a Five Guys burger. Fries were underseasoned.
Victoria Provenzano
Victoria Provenzano: Delicious juicy burger with a FAT patty and the rosemary fries are unique and absolutely delicious. Wish I had better pics
Sarah Kwak
Sarah Kwak: The burger was delicious! And their chicken Caesar salad was so good! Also definitely try their coffee shake! So yummy!
Robert Alvarez
Robert Alvarez: Think of 5 guys and that compares to this style of eatery. Food was good, hot and flavorful. Portion to price seems a bit low as burgers could be bigger. Fries are amazing but value to price seems a bit high. Family of 5 eating hamburgers, fries and drink ended up at $90 bucks. Better places to eat for that money.

Daniel Wagner
Daniel Wagner: Very good burger place, generous with fries and toppings, just be careful not to order too much and swamp your burger
John Palmer
John Palmer: Convenient location and friendly staff. One of the better fast food burgers around. Fries are made from fresh potatoes but beware; the portions are huge.
V. Jones
V. Jones: GiGi at 5 Guys was the best. Helped me correct an error In delivery address. And Active Menus was great! Professional & timely driver even though I made a mistake with delivery address.
art GOGGINS
art GOGGINS: Everything is over priced. Burgers are very good but 🚫 not healthy. This is a place to eat only every now and then. A $10 will not get you much here.
Allen Hayes
Allen Hayes: Come with an appetite because they overload you with fries. Got a regular size fry and it came with a cup that it filled half the bag. It was so much, that u poured some out the bag and took the rest home. The burger was very tasty and full of flavor. You can build your own burger and it’s unlimited toppings. Free refills for the fountain drink, and you can dine in. There’s also free peanuts that you can request. I took that home with my remaining fries. The only reason I didn’t give this at five is because the fries were overloaded with salt. When I picked up a fry, my fingers were covered and salt was falling from the fries. Overall though, I recommend this place and their burgers. The service was good and made all my request happened. I’d come here again. 🤗
Neely Terrell
Neely Terrell: Service is always amazing. Grateful for GG always being so sweet and welcoming. Lunch is always fresh. Great cooks and overall service. I will be back!
Haneefah Mitchell
Haneefah Mitchell: Great customer service. Your order is presented to you exactly how you order it ,they take pride in making tasty burgers and I love the fresh fries.
silvanus slade
silvanus slade: A nice location conveniently located near the Fort Totten Station. Same great quality of food and service you get at any other Five Guys. Not as busy as the downtown locations or the one on Florida Ave.

Ted's Bulletin: what do users think?
Arash Tavakoli
Arash Tavakoli: I had one of my best dining experiences in this place. The breakfast is easily enough for two people. The staff are super welcoming. Try their tarts and that tastes like heaven. Been very happy with the pancakes and hey they bring you a whole container of coffee. I also really liked that when we ordered one breakfast for two, they put it in two different plates. Thoughtful! So enjoy!
Calvin Thumma
Calvin Thumma: My wife and I went here after a recommendation from a co-worker of mine. The area we are from has a number very good bistro and brunch locations but this meal blew them out of the water. My French toast was by far the best I’ve ever had, the bacon was crisp, potatoes were perfect and the eggs yummy. My wife’s meal was equally delicious, she order eggs, potatoes, toast and sausage. Nicole was our server and made sure every was perfect and never left our drinks get close to empty
Paul LaVigne
Paul LaVigne: Enjoyed the bakery treats we had the other day so much we came back for brunch. Be sure to call ahead for reservations as this is a very busy place with longer wait times. The food was excellent. I do recommend you come and enjoy this place when you’re in town
Jessica Zheng
Jessica Zheng: Pretty good brunch location! For drinks, we just got a caramel iced coffee and a vanilla milkshake. Coffee was okay, didn’t really taste the caramel flavor at all. For our meals- I got the Big Mark Breakfast. The sausage was very tasty but the eggs and hash brown were pretty bland, I ended up using dipping them in ketchup. Boyfriend got the salmon toast, that was surprisingly tasty! I was just weirded about eating raw salmon as my first meal of the day but it caught me by surprise!
Tilak Kalaria
Tilak Kalaria: Absolutely spectacular dining experience at Tex’s Bulletin for brunch. Service was awesome in this spot with a great ambience and location in DC. The food was excellent too so much to choose from. Their avacado toast has such great attention to detail. The S’mores tart was special! To better enhance our awesome experience someone kind patron paid for my party of 5’s brunch!! Highly recommend Ted’s!!
Fiorella Hidalgo
Fiorella Hidalgo: Went to get the special cherry blossom dessert during the Cherry Blossom Festival! Smoked Salmon Benedict is one of the best I ever had before! (I like it better than Kramer’s!). It took a while to get seated on a Sunday morning, so try to make a reservation in advance!
Hannah
Hannah: Okay. I’m excited to review this place as an avid brunch food lover. To begin: we were told that the wait time was 40mjn and given a buzzer. Great. No problem, totally understand. To be fair, we hadn’t made reservations that morning. We wait 50min. They then tell us to wait another 30 minutes. My pregnant and hungry friend got it changed to 20min. Still. Once inside, the vibes were great. Our server was fast and attentive. Huge food portions and cute decor. Definitely not worth the weird waiting times, but will definitely make reservations next time!
Jacob Grice
Jacob Grice: Breakfast was awesome!!! Staff was super nice, restaurant was clean and the atmosphere was uplifting and calming at the same time. Food was very good and filling , you must try the cheese cake!! Defiantly will be back again!!

Victor
Victor: I order the shack stack which is a shooming burger with a burger patty this is my favorite sandwich from here. This is one of my favorite locations.
Shannon Settles
Shannon Settles: Usually the food (i.e. a burger and fries) here is quickly delivered and of quality taste. My recent visit was average. The burger and fries were were ok as well as the service and wait. I can’t say it was poor just average. I will give the place another try in the future hoping my experience was an anomaly.
Response: Thank you for your feedback, Shannon Settles. We're sorry about your experience at our Shack. We can do better than what you’ve experienced, so we’d love to invite you back to the Shack. Corey Williams: Awesome burgers! Photo is the Smoke Shack Burger and Buffalo fries.
Response: It always makes us happy to hear feedback like yours! Thanks for taking the time to leave a review.
Mischa
Mischa: My first experience here was okay. I got the chicken bites and a craft beer. Although the chicken bites were very tasty, they were also overpriced. Almost fifteen dollars for ten not-so-big chicken bites and one drink. The craft beer selection could be better as well. On top of that, at least in this location, there were no electrical outlets that I could find near any of the seats. Other than that, my meal was good and I would probably try something else if I come back.

Ac Mitchell
Ac Mitchell: The chicken bites were cooked to my perfection- batter was lightly coated and crispy! Sooo good I forgot to take a pix! On the other hand the dipping sauces were weak and the prices are too damn high! It cost us $30+--- 2 6pc, 2 fries, 1milkshake
Response: AC, Thank you so much for the feedback! Sounds like we have some room for improvement, so it means a lot that you took the time to share your experience. Y’all need to be a little more cognizant of things like that. Money is very dirty considering it’s passed around an infinite number of times

Lyssa McEachern
Lyssa McEachern: I don’t know if it’s because I’m not nostalgic about Hovermales but I don’t feel the same way as most of these reviews. Don’t get me wrong the ice cream is great (hence the 4 stars), I usually get the swirl, but I hate that I can’t use my card to pay and they only take cash - it prevents me from coming as much as I’d like to and I’m sure I’m not the only one. I also with they had sprinkles or other toppings too. I know they’re going for the mom and pop place but adding some new upgrades would be a good thing in my opinion. I’ll still come back, just a bit frustrating and inconvenient.
Russell Swenton
Russell Swenton: Love stopping in for an occasional barbecue and an ice cream cone,or milkshake !
Coffey Smith
Coffey Smith: The icecream is delicious! They should have a credit card scanner. This place is cash only. Its 2021 people. But it was worth the trip back!
