Shake Shack: what do users think?

Katie d: I came two days ago and them burgers were hitting so good & the workers were so nice and patient. I just seen them other reviews like no this is a 5 star experience I had, like how can milkshake even be melted? Yes I’m throwing shade. These workers need a raise idc!! They working their a$$ off !!!!
Response: Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. It always makes us happy to hear feedback like yours!

Carson Peck: Solid little fast food joint. Burgers seem very legit and fries are solid. Fast food done properly.
Response: Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. It always makes us happy to hear feedback like yours!

Eric Cunningham: I am not typically one to write bad reviews, but I am thinking that management would want to know about this experience. We were in from out of town and I was excited to try Shake Shack for the first time. We just started getting locations in my city and I have heard it is excellent. We went to this location late in the evening on 4/16. The computers for ordering were left on all the way up until close and this was the source of the problem. Workers began closing early and became verbally frustrated with the customers still waiting on their food. An employee started mopping the floors without wringing it out, leaving large amounts of standing water on the floor without wet floor signs. Moving around was very difficult. The same employee said the bathroom was closed and another overheard and said it was fine. When we received our food, my significant other checked our bag because we overheard other customers getting frustrated they were being told various items were “out” after the receipt was paid and they had waited on the food. It was clear the employees had shut down various equipment and had no interest in turning anything back on. The same was with our order so she said something. The employee quickly snapped at her and began speaking very disrespectfully. Upon hearing this another customer who was also spoken to in appropriately stood up for my significant other and things spiraled from there. The verbal altercation turned into physical and it appeared a brawl was beginning. I saw at least one punch thrown and we quickly exited the restaurant to safety. All in all this was a very poor representation of the Shake Shack chain, and a very bad first experience for us.
Response: Thank you so much for your feedback. This is concerning and we’d like to investigate this further. Could you email us at feedback@shakeshack.com so that we can grab your details? Thanks, Jake

James Nelson: Burgers are good, chicken bites where soaked in oil, fries would have been good but not enough cheese and there was not enough bacon on them. Second fries had seasoning piled on top. Could have been done much better and it was not busy at that time
Response: James, Thank you for your feedback. It's disappointing to read that your meal wasn't up to our standards. We can do better than what you've experienced, so we'd love to invite you back to the Shack. Could you email us your review at share@shakeshack.com so we can get in touch? Thank you again, The Shake Shack Team

SkizzySami 2: I really enjoyed theses burgers ! They were freshly made and there were fast . This was the first place that had amazing customer service and actually got my order right ! I will definitely be coming back soon !
Response: We appreciate the positive vibes! Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback.

Alok Sinha: Came here a few times during my visit to Washington D.C. Had the buffalo chicken sandwich and it was really good. The service was fast and the staff was friendly. Would recommend coming here if you are in the area.
Response: Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. It always makes us happy to hear feedback like yours!

Get like me Reed: 1st time there. I got the shroom cheeseburger with the lettuce wrap, instead of bun. Very good, I'm not vegetarian but I could have eaten the shroom without the burger, because that was delicious.

Ryan Smith: I ordered cheese fries, a bacon cheeseburger, and a milkshake, and there wasn’t a single thing right with my whole order. Gave me just cheese and no fries, no bacon on the burger, and a melted milkshake with no straw. I understand one mistake, but this is ridiculous. Pay a fair wage and hire good workers.
Response: Ryan, Thanks so much for your feedback. I’m so sorry about the recent experience you had at our Shack. We work hard to make sure each order is correct, and we are sorry this wasn't the case this time for you. We can do better than what you've experienced, so we'd love to invite you back to the Shack. Could you email us your review at share@shakeshack.com so we can get in touch? Thank you again, The Shake Shack Team

Tracey Mangham: In the heart of DC its a popular place. Busy as expected so the wait was a few minutes longer than usual. Food is good and seating was plentiful.
Response: It always makes us happy to hear feedback like yours! Thanks for taking the time to leave a review.

Jade: horrible customer service. lazy workers. always on the phone. they act like they don’t wanna be there. I placed an order the girl at the front asked me my name. waited 20 mins. my food is as just sitting there. what’s the point of asking for names if you’re not going to call. won’t be coming back.
Response: Jade, Thanks so much for your feedback. We pride ourselves on our hospitality and work hard to provide a seamless pickup experience, so this is disappointing. We can do better than what you've experienced, so we'd love to invite you back to the Shack. Could you email us your review at share@shakeshack.com so we can get in touch? Shake Shack: what do users think?

Eric E: Shake Shack, in comparison to others in the same category, is a dissent fast food/ burger place. However, the difference between branches is the services. To me, this branch seems to be on a slow side of service. Anyway, my strawberry shake and Shake Stack were both good, as expected.🍔🍧
Response: It always makes us happy to hear feedback like yours! Thanks for taking the time to leave a review.

Dominic Giglio-Tos: I seem to echo other reviewers. The food was good, especially for a fast food joint, but the service left much to be desired. The cashier was mumbling, never had a smile, and seemed to hate working there. It also took longer than expected to get food, which is not much of a big deal to me, but to others I know it would be. You won't go wrong eating here, but in DC there are many better options.
Response: Dominic, Thanks for taking the time to reach out. We are disappointed to hear about your experience during this visit. It is important to us that you feel welcomed and serviced well by our team. We'd like to follow up with you. Could you email us your review at share@shakeshack.com, so our team can get in touch with you directly? Thanks again, The Shake Shack Team

mars shabazz: This was hands down the best fast food experience ever. The buns and burgers were mouth watering. The fries were cooked to perfection. The shakes were perfectly thickened. This was so good that we even changed our phone lock screens to shake shack. There was a wonderful lady i believe to be on clean up duty who’s beautiful personality really made our experience. And a big shout out to our homie in the back flipping burgers 🍔 if anyone know his instagram @ lmk💯
Response: It always makes us happy to hear feedback like yours! Thanks for taking the time to leave a review.

G LP: Thanks again Romano for providing such excellent service and high quality food…and of course the delicious shakes!!! He took the time to educate me more on the Shake Shack brand in regards to the high standards for what goes into the delicious burgers they provide. Overall great experience and pretty convenient, clean and friendly location!!! Stop by and see for yourself!!!! Most of the food and shake are already in digestion town 😊 IG: @masterpeace_beauty

Neynna Karpuzyan: I really want to give more stars however the employees are not amicable. It’s feels tense inside. I am only giving this place three stars because at the end one of the cooks was near the door and helped us get out the door with our 4 suitcases 😀. I am not sure why most of the employees look so glum. Anyway first time back in DC since 1992. Please employees cheer up! Food was good as usual.
Response: Neynna, Thanks for taking the time to reach out. We are disappointed to hear about your experience during this visit. Alans Steedman: This was my first Shake shake experience, will probably be the last one. The lady at the cash register seemed disinterested and was rude. She only barked one word to me and that was “Name” for my order. It took some time For the staff behind the counter to make up My order of 2 drinks as they seemed more interested in their phones or messing around with each other.
Response: Alans, Thank you for your feedback. I’m so sorry about your experience at our Shack. We pride ourselves on our hospitality, so this is extremely disappointing. We can do better than what you've experienced, so we'd love to invite you back to the Shack. Could you email us your review at share@shakeshack.com so we can get in touch? Jeff Breitenbuecher: Portions are small and not worth how much they charge for it. Their milk shake is almost $6 dollars. Their simplest hamburger that is the one on the picture below, it is also close to $6. It felt like a steel, but I had to try it once to say at least I have tried this fast food chain.

Abi Maghamfar: Good tasting burgers. Another positives about Shake Shack is that they serve beer and they have gluten-free buns ($1 extra). French fries are good but $3.09 for a small serving is overpriced. $35 for 2 burgers, 2 fries, a milkshake and a beer,

George Mwasumbi: Was my first time at Shake Shack, and for the most part the food was worth the excitement. The burger was juicy and beefy, and the fries were extra crispy. The only downside would be that the food is extremely expensive - even though the food was good, the price is still a little too much.

Benjamin Thomas: The food is really tasty. I ordered a BBQ burger, and it has a nice sized Patty, good thick bacon and large pickles. Bit expensive, but good nonetheless.

Southwest Soda Pop Shop: what do users think?

Kristy Kairos: Mango ice cream was incredibly good. Lemonade drink to die for. Proud to say it’s black business owned. Great for your sweet tooth needs. Will be going back again.

Kris: Amazing shop! Staff is super friendly ! Not only is the ice cream options amazing the food options are good! Definitely recommend

Nick Webster: Southwest Soda Pop Shop is a cute outdoor ice cream and soda stand. Serving soft serve and scoop ice creams , floats, and sodas. A wonderful stop on the north end of the newly opened DC Wharf. Look closely for the shop since there is still a lot of construction. It is located on Maine Ave directly in front of the Seafood Market. There is ample bench seating under a shaded awning. It will be even nicer to visit once the construction is completed.

Shenita Y White: Best soft serve ice cream ever! It is so smooth and creamy with just the right amount of sweetness and vanilla! I had vanilla in a medium cup (but wish I gotten the large). There’s always tomorrow! Sorry about the photo, it was basically gone by the time I thought to take a picture.

Dondré: This is a great outdoor quick ice cream shop. The staff is cool and the smoothie I ordered was good. They offer all kinds of ice cream, banana splits, milk shakes, smoothies and more. They have ice cream sandwhiches made of real cookies and your choice of ice-cream flavor.

Udim Isang: Have to support black businesses!! I would say the customer crevice could've been a little better and I did not like waiting for an hour in the heat, but when I got to the front and recieved my ice cream, I was a happy camper. Ill just come back in the fall/winter when they ones are a little shorter lol

Ryan Connor: Cashier was rude. "I don't see why everyone thinks I need to take their credit cards..." because customers can't see the card slot in the sun glare? Get a better attitude cashier!

Roniqua Jeffries: So good! A must stop ice cream shop at the wharf on the fresh seafood side. Pictured is the cherry blossom ice cream sandwich on sugar cookies. Ask about their secret menu. This is a walk up shop with no indoor seating. There are some pub tables outside. On my last visit they were selling hotdogs and half smokes as well as ice cream.

Margie Nguyen: Waited in line for about 20 minutes around 2:00 on a Saturday. Very nice people and great treats! Can’t wait to come back and try other flavors! Wanted to come out to support a local black owned family business!

Raiana Berman: Heard some great reviews and always ready to support a B.O.B., I decided to try it out for myself a few weeks ago. My friend got a chipwich and really enjoyed it. I ordered the cake explosion and immediately saw a hair baked into the brownie sitting right on top. The line to address this was over 30 min wait so I threw it out and took a loss. Customer service could be better and possibly more seating to accommodate all the customers in their long line.

Thomas Sweet: what do users think?

Amy Workman: Tons of options and good prices. Everything we had was delicious. Some seating outside. Cute spot in Georgetown. We were visiting DC and wanted to check out Georgetown and also needed a good ice cream spot which where were staying in Foggy Bottom seamed to be lacking, so this was perfect.

Ryan Bibler: We had to wait in line outside the shop for a while but it was worth the wait. The ice cream was great. Our kids loved it. We would go back.

Matilde C Calderon: There is always a line especially when the weather is warm. Thomas has a lot of unique ice cream flavors. My personal favorite is their Coffee Oreo. They also have chocolate, milkshakes, and froyo.

K S Zanika: Last time I lived in Georgetown in 1984. Place still looks about the same and they still serve good ice cream. Great to see the place is still in business after all these years. Highly recommended.

Devin Boe: Awesome little neighborhood ice cream shop with fantastic selection of flavors. I particularly love their black raspberry ice cream, and their limeade is excellent on a hot summer day. Service is prompt and friendly, and while a little pricey, it's totally worth it. Also, open relatively late for an ice cream shop, which is nice on a summer night. I have not tried the confections but I've heard they are also good.

Derin Jose: Amazing. That’s the only way to describe this place. The ice cream was probably the best that I’ve had. They have a lot flavours to choose from and it would take a long time to try them all. If I lived in dc , I would definitely try every single item on their menu. This is my go to spot in dc for desserts. The only downside is that it closes by 10:30pm.

Mark Blanchard: Best ice cream in the DMV. Dozens of flavors to choose from. Typically I prefer gelato, and simple flavors, but this place has nailed ice cream. The staff is not very friendly, but their toppings are generous (eg they add 4 full Oreos as a topping whereas other places give you a crumble from half an Oreo).

Ellie Gabriella: This place has a lot of options! Tons of flavors of fudge and ice cream! I didn’t try the ice cream but really loved the dark chocolate salted caramel fudge! Delicious! It’s amazing that they make it in house! The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because neither of the employees working had gloves on while handling the food. I didn’t even see them wash their hands when coming out of the back room. I didn’t want to mention it at the time because the staff didn’t give off a friendly vibe. If the health department came by they wouldn’t be permitted to work that way. But again, the fudge is delicious and has great flavor!

Rachel Rachel: Awesome selection of ice cream flavors, toppings, cones, literally anything ice cream-related that you could want is here. The serving sizes are also huge. The man working at the front is such a sweet person, too. Oh, and there’s outdoor seating, in case you have a dog or bike. I would definitely recommend this place and I’d go back again.

James Leong - Realtor Associate - KW: Very long lines, and a bit on the pricey side. I understand that the location adds to the price point of the ice cream but $8 for a milk shake, seemed a bit much. Overall the ice cream was good and the many options was plenty. Didn't try any of the fudge or the chocolate pastries. (This didn't effect the star rating, buy my daughter also has allergies to walnuts and ordered the brownie fudge Sunday. It was never advertised as having nuts, but after asking the clerk he confirmed it did have walnuts. Our fault as we let our guard down thinking it was just a brownie) With other ice cream eateries in the area with much shorter lines, if not no lines at all, they might be a better and cheaper choice. You decide.

Mount Desert Island Ice Cream: what do users think?

Jacqueline Telljohann: My husband and I were looking for desert and found this spot just down the street from where we are housesitting. We split a flight with: - Blueberry Sour Cream Crumble - Real Strawberry - Butterbeer - Bay of Figs My favorite flavors were Strawberry and Blueberry Sour Cream Crumble. You could tell the strawberry ice cream was actually made with strawberries. The Butterbeer wasn't as flavorful as I was expecting. If you like unique ice cream flavors, this spot is worth checking out.

Elizabeth Dou: The best ice cream place in the area! Super clean inside with friendly staff. Lots of fun flavors including the standard chocolate and vanilla. The ice cream was creamy and flavorful. The lemon berry poppy seed was a unique flavor that tasted amazing. There is a small outdoor seating area with a benches next door.

Bradley Farster: My daughter and I love this place! They have some very creative flavors, and their recipes have natural ingredients and flavorings. Their maple walnut is amazing, and my daughter loves the gluten-free/dairy-free blueberry basil sorbet. Be sure to check it out if you are in the area!

Jessica Long: Went there last night. We got the salted caramel, which was a little too salty. We got the coffee, which was good to me, but too bitter to my girlfriend. We got the pralines and cream, which we thought was the best. We got the pretzel and toffee, which needed more toffee to pretzel ratio and not just dark chocolate. It was weird that the single allowed for 1.5 flavors, but the double couldn’t accommodate 3 flavors with 1 full scoop and two half scoops. Hence why we got some many flavors because I had to upgrade to the triple. We got one other flavor, but unsure what it was. There is a long line at night, but they didn’t cut us off, which was nice. There’s are to sit outside the shop, which was also nice.

Stephanie G: Truly fantastic. My spouse, who is obsessed with trying different flavors of ice cream, declared the Blueberry Sour Cream ice cream the best he's ever had. I had the cucumber lime sorbet which had fresh chunks of the titular flavors in it and was amazing. A gem of Mount Pleasant.

Alicia D: A balance between some staples and a rotation in of new flavors keep me coming back. The cones are fresh, but they may run out of the waffle cone in the evening. The first time I went, I was disappointed by the tiny scoop size, but since then, they have been more generous with the scoop. I forget to take a picture every time, but the pictures from the other reviews reflect what I have had and seen.

Amy Chiou: You can get two flavors in a single which is just so fun. I loved their buttermint which I paired with cookies and cream for a wonderful combination. My friend said her strawberry paired with lemon was fantastic. We may have gone two days in a row...

Megan Miller: Bay of Figs is my favorite ice cream flavor on the planet. I live in Colorado and I’ve tried to reproduce it at home with no luck. It’s smooth, creamy, sweet, bitter. So. Good.

J C: Came on a friday night and they didnt have waffle cones??? Besides that the ice cream was pretty average. I did not like the Kulf(?) flavor. The blueberry one was good. Im highly critical of Jeni’s and Jeni’s is better than this.

J Acharya: Very fun creative flavors! Highly recommend getting the blueberry sour cream crumble!

Good Stuff Eatery: what do users think?

Abigail Morales: Good burgers in a 2 story space. Order downstairs and take your food upstairs to a sit down dining area. The fries were a bit burnt as if the oil hadn't been changed but were made from real fresh cut potatoes. The burgers themselves were tasty, nice and filling. If you enjoy a giant burger you may want to get two -my teenage brother wanted another- but we were satisfied with just one. The shakes we tried (oreo, toasted marshmallow and malt) were all tasty.

J B: My hesitation about eating here was that the portions would be insanely huge, the food would be greasy, and I'd leave bemoaning what an awful place. I was so wrong! The portions were PERFECT!!!! There wasn't a single bad food item. The onion petals, fries, burger, so darn good. Loved sitting outside to eat. You get that DC feel. Check out it.

Erick M: Burger - pretty decent, fries - pretty bad, milkshake - pretty good. The burger had a lot going for it (had the Obama Burger), it was juicy and the flavors/sauces went well together, but it was really soggy and greasy immediately after it was prepared (ate in); overall pretty decent burger. The fries unfortunately were the worst part. Got the Village fries which adds rosemary and some seasonings. They had no salt on them and were very soggy and underfried, pretty big letdown. The milkshake was actually very good (cookies and cream), nice and thick w/ a good wide straw. If the fries had not been so bad, I'd consider coming back, but the fries are half the experience for me. Wouldn't eat here again (or would ask the fries to be well done).

Elizabeth Dou: The burger is pretty good, a little heavier and greasier than expected. The bun gets kind of soggy with all the toppings. Burger is also on the smaller side. Price range for a burger is greater than $9 depending on your toppings. Fries aren’t crispy and more on the soft/soggy side despite being served hot. There is a place upstairs to eat as well as outside seating. I think Five Guys and Shack Shack are on par with this burger place.

Kn Bn: The worst service I ever had probably, the girl was really not happy to be here. No smile, no hello, no please, no thanks, she didn't even looked at me that was crazy.. Also they forgot our order , so we wait more without any apologize.. The food was good, but please do something about our staff, probably a training to explain how smile and how be cordial

Chandra Coleman: Food was delicious, staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The Toasted Marshmallow shake was AMAZING!! My only regret was that we didn't find it sooner.

Kyle Van Hecke: Things I like: Good burgers and shakes! Fries are actually really good too (despite some of the reviews suggesting otherwise) but you have to eat them fresh. They put all their fries immediately into a sealed paper bag so they will get soggy unless you eat them at the restaurant. They also have a selection of fry dipping sauces that are good! Things I dislike: the burger size could definitely be bigger. I do eat a lot but I can easily finish 2 burgers in one sitting (which is waaaay too expensive for my budget). Their beer selection is pretty underwhelming too, they only have 1 option at the moment. Finally, they charge a 5% “COVID surcharge.” I absolutely understand the time we live in but just be honest and raise your prices… don’t add on a hidden 5% fee. Fees like this feel very dishonest to me and that’s why I knocked them down from 4 to 3 stars.

Jerilyn Williams: I didn't like my burger.. for a $9 burger.. I expected more. Felt like they really just threw something together. My guest enjoyed her cheese burger but neither of us like the Village Fries.. I think they should have been fresher, they seemed soggy and too soft. The milkshakes were good.. I had the salted caramel and my guest had vanilla. This definitely wasn't a $30 meal.

TRAM HA: Came here cause it was close to the Capitol and had lots of reviews. To be honest I’m not sure why cause the food was ok. Burgers tasted alright. The fries were not good but better with the thyme and rosemary. I think it’s also the oil in fries that I didn’t like. Also ordered two shakes. Salted caramel (my mom liked that) and a cookies n cream shake that of course didn’t have enough cookies. It was pretty much a vanilla shake. Maybe it was just the workers that day cause they weren’t that friendly. You know when you don’t want to be at work and others can tell? Yeah it was like that.

Charlie Sanders: One of the best burgers I’ve ever had, and reasonably priced as well. The Prez was definitely worth the money, and the rest of my crew loved the burgers they got. The toasted marshmallow milkshake was heavenly. If I was a legislative staffer I’d be eating here everyday.

Larry's Homemade Ice Cream: what do users think?

Audrey Osburn: Larry’s is awesome! Wonderfully homemade ice cream without so many of the additional ingredients/preservatives/emulsifiers that big companies use. Not to mention Larry himself was there! He’s a gentleman and made my boyfriend I feel welcome and made us laugh. Great atmosphere and ice cream here.
Response: Thank you for coming to Larry's and for your sweet review❣️ We are so pleased you enjoyed your Homemade Ice Cream❣️

Lloyd Spencer: My vanilla chocolate chip ice cream cone with a perfect ending to a very long day. Homemade ice cream that is very creamy and actually made by the owner.👍👍
Response: Thank you for your sweet review! We're so happy you enjoyed your ice cream cone!

Nate B: This place was great. The ice cream was really good. Service was fantastic. It is a little hidden gem that has been there over 30 years. I would definitely recommend this place.
Response: Thank you for your Sweet review! We think you're a gem too!

Sophronia Vachon: This place truly is a hidden gem! The ice cream was delicious and not too sugary, prices were reasonable for the part of town (near Dupont Circle). But the best part is the owner Larry! He has a sarcastic sense of humor and had us laughing the entire time. I think some people mistake his humor for rudeness, but we loved it.
Response: Thanks for your sweet stars and sweet review!

Eamon Kostopulos: Larry is a just man who has been put on this Earth to do one thing, serve delicious ice cream. His loving but firm attitude is purely for efficiency. If you have had a bad experience at this place it is purely because you didn’t live up to Larry’s standards. The ice cream is top notch in DC and I can easily say I will be going again.
Response: Thank you, finally someone who understands Larry! We are, so please you had a great experience and will be coming back. Can't wait to see you again❣️

Lacey LeCroy: Best ice cream. It has that homemade creamy flavor. The strawberry cheesecake flavor is amazing. My son says it is the best vanilla he has ever had. And Larry is a funny guy too.
Response: Thank you for your sweet review! We're very happy your little man loved his Vanilla ice cream!

Frazier Gray: Was not impressed. Larry's was recommended, but found the older guy (presumably the owner) to be a bit crass and too familiar with foul language. Moreover, you have allllll these delicious sounding flavors, but cannot taste any of them before paying $5.91 for one scoop + 1.99 for a waffle cone + 10% tax (times 2) + milkshakes $9.10 + tax (times 2)... for $37. PLEASE Stop citing COVID as the reason that you cannot give samples (even Rita's give samples now, along with other creameries), when you are not even wearing masks and no visible COVID protocols in place...just sounds like a cost saving measure that is not being passed on to the customers.

Holly Gross: Just wrapping up our trip in DC and stopped by for ice cream. Excellent selection and so tasty! Larry kept us entertained too. Funny guy!
Response: Thank you for your sweet review and visiting Larry's during your trip into DC!

MATIAS STIPICEVIC ETCHEGARAY: The worst experience I’ve ever had in Washington DC. Larry was rude, disrespectful and denigrated my family because we are Latin. Absolutely shameful and disgusted by his attention. I don’t recommend this place at all. You can buy ice cream from CVS a block from here and its way better and overall will be a happier experience. Don’t come to this place.

David Goldstein: Been here before and prices were much higher than they should be, but ok it’s DuPont. Came in tonight and the gentleman behind the counter had such a rude tone and just came across grouchy. If you’re going to charge over $6 for a cookie bar the service better be top notch. There are other places more worth your dollars than this one.
Response: Hello Mr.Goldstein, It's a shame you feel that way Sir. The cookie you refer to is called the Incredible Cookie. It is a 5 layer brownie that has been made by us since 1984, nearly 40 yrs. We are one of the institutions whch have survived more than two resetions, roits and now covid. We are not rich enough to use cheap ingredients and sell mediocre goods. When asked if it is any good, in reference to products we've sold for so long, we usually always answer back with sarcastic humor. Lawrence J Cenkci Owner

Ben's Chili Bowl: what do users think?

Joseph McAndrews: A classic lunch counter in the heart of DC! Right across the street from the U street metro station on the yellow/green line. Fast, friendly service. Counter order and then seat yourself. The meal combo deal is an extra $5 for a fountain drink and fries. I recommend skipping it because it's not quite worth it. Spend the money on a milkshake instead! The walls are filled with pictures famous people who have eaten there. This place is great! Definitely check it out.

Oi Lin “Chinagirl568” Wong: Walk in and order, they will bring you your food. There are a few tables up front, in the middle and in the back. Pictures of famous people all over the walls. Even have a TV playing with more pictures. This is a DC landmark. The place is fun to check out. But the chili was just ok... Service was good.

Evan S: A must try when coming to DC! I loved eating here.. everyone wears masks and are nice and friendly.. the hot dog was okay.. the burger and chili bowl with rice is what shined.. check it out

Trent Hinek: I don’t know what else can be said of this diner. The half smoke is one of the best Chile dogs you can have and their milkshakes just compliment the spiciness of the chili. You really should seek it out if you’re anywhere near U Street in DC. Just make sure you go to the original one. Their new one in the convention center is only open during events.

Sam M: One of the more famous restaurants in DC and rightfully so! I visited this place several times after the venues in U street. From Obama to Bourdain, a lot of famous people have been to place and it is been tourist’s attraction for DC. As soon as you walk into the restaurant, you can tell this place has been around for a long time. I ordered their famous half smoke chili dog, chili cheese fries and milkshake. Probably one of the best chili I ever had and beef dog was cooked really well. Even the milkshake was pretty good too. It is a perfect late night food after the venue or a few drinks. I was there pretty late during the weekend and there were plenty of drunk people there. I highly recommend this place for some good chili and half smoke dog!

Chad H (xlr231): Mediocre food at hugely inflated price. Service wasn't good either. It was $27 for a cheeseburger, chili cheese fries, and a bottle of (warm) Dr Pepper. They don't have prices posted on the menu, if they did I probably would've left. Ordered the cheeseburger and even though I explained to the guy three times no lettuce but I want everything else on it (tomato, onion, ketchup, mayo- they still managed to screw it up. When I got the burger (with only lettuce and tomato) it was dry and not very good. Definitely worth nowhere near the $11 it cost. I could have gone to Five Fuys for that and gotten something that was infinitely better. For $8 their portion size on the chili cheese fries was pretty pathetic. The fries were kind of cold and stale the chili was okay- maybe one step better than something you'd get out of a can. And the bottle of Dr pepper they pulled out of the fridge was room temperature. I asked for a cup of ice because of it and they gave me a shot glass size cup. I had to refill it about five times, but all the ice and melted after about the second time filling it.

Michelle Clogan: The restaurant appeared clean and the employees were... Not friendly, but tolerable. The food was mediocre at best. The actual dog in the chili smoke was really delicious and smokey. The chili was mostly tomato sauce, which wasn't super satisfying, was hard to eat, and made the bun so soggy. I also got chili cheese fries, but the fries were barely cooked. Again, edible, but not worth $8 and certainly not worth going out of your way to visit.

Jean Ng: Milkshake ☑️ Chili Bowl ☑️ Hot Dog ☑️ Onion Rings ☑️ What else are you waiting for !? Get your bum here already at this most soulful diner in town. Its definitely a DC institution with wonderful food. Many famous people have frequent this joint over the years and you can sit where Obama sat. It was a weekday lunch hour and thank god its not filled with tourist and the line moves quickly at the counter. By the way the white outdoor tents doesnt belong to Ben’s Last but not least, it was the google ad about BEN’s that brought us here from NYC. So thank you google !!

Lucy Leon: Can not come to DC and not stop here. Im so happy it didn't disappoint! The food and service is amazing. I cant indulge like I used to so I had a salad before I had my chili fries. Everything was fresh and delicious. My friends had half smokes but per usual I was too busy eating to take pictures.

John David Suayan: So my older millennial self visitor's our nation's capital for the first time ever. I succumbed to the siren song of the half-smoke. And that's how I ended up at Ben's. Ben's has been around since the time of the fight for Civil Rights. Located in the neighborhood that was once known as "Black Broadway", the eatery had a front row seat to history, as well as hosted those made it. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. ate here. Stokely Carmichael ate here. Pres. Barack Obama ate here. You get the picture. And yes, I had myself the famous half-smoke with onion rings. It met many of my expectations. I just wished it were bigger for more enjoyment, but other than that, the capital's tube steak answer to the dogs of Chicago and New York deserves the old college try from first-timers to the area. Oh, and another thing. I was fortunate to have met the legendary Virginia Ali, the co-owner of Ben's. She and her late husband, the namesake, got this place off the ground eons and eons ago. Mrs. Ali is still grinding at nearly the century mark.

Z Burger Tenleytown: what do users think?

Stephen Knotts: This is the ABSOLUTE Best Chicken sandwich my wife and I have ever tried! The employees are extremely nice and friendly. The owner came out and greeted us to make sure we enjoyed our visit. I was overwhelmed by his hospitality. This is a MUST HAVE location here in Washington DC!

Adam Getliff: Excellent food and Service. The food was very hot when I took my first bite…so maybe wait a few minutes after you get your food to dig in! The older gentleman who helped us at the front was very kind and brought us ketchup to our table for our fries without even asking him. The amount of fries you get is unbelievable, more than enough for everyone to have some! Very tasty too! They have a sign out front saying “Covid free zone”..made me laugh, but they actually have some air cleaners hanging throughout the establishment to clean the air. Overall I was very pleased with my visit here.

Kev- keepingitreal: Our burgers was juicy, hot and flavorful. They will load you up with plenty of nice warm flavor French fries in a cup inside a bag, the french fries flavor remind me, when I used to get boardwalk french fries back in the day. The milkshake was flavorful as well. Great staff and friendly atmosphere.

Victor: I pass Z Burger at least once a day, parking here is intimidating but I got the courage to illegal park and risk it. I ordered a double cheese burger fully loaded. The burger tasted great no complains the burger and toppings fit in this bun they use allot of fountain drinks were out of order and had a funny taste.

Tony Vega: This place has excellent french fries, kind of boardwalk style. One large portion was enough for the three of us. Also So glad they have chicken sandwich here now.

Moises F. Koodsi-Sotelo: The staff was very attentive and the clientele seemed to be regulars from the neighborhood giving off a dive-bar kinda of vibe. The single burger is more than enough for my appetite. And if you are an onion ring lover! I do recommend you get some.

Sophie: (I've only knocked it down to 4 stars because of the recent price increases. It's now more expensive to eat here than at the local sushi place (depending on what you get)) This is our go-to burger place. The burgers are flavorful, the seasoned fries are delicious, the shakes are thick, and the staff are friendly. They have messed up our order a few times but they are always really apologetic and good about fixing it.

Isabel de Oliveira: delicious milkshakes with an incredible assortment of flavors!!! also, the employees are all super nice. they’re open until 4 am on friday and saturday which really helps me with my late night sugar cravings. great for a summer night out with college friends :)

Bereket Belay: Was a great first time for me and my girlfriend. Eli took care of us in the front and gave us the rundown of what to expect. Great time and great food for a great price as well. Definitely recommend!!!

Chido Enweze: Fries were good. Went there for milkshakes but they did not have any. Was able to get a float tho. That was good. Overall good experience no issues

Shake Shack: what do users think?

JORGE SUAREZ HURTADO: I tried the new Buffalo chicken sandwich and the buffalo fries with sauce. It was very tasty despite the fact that the fillet's breadcrumb cover came off a bit from the chicken, the taste was good. It's not very spicy but the sandwich in general and the fries were good. I also tried the new wake & shake and yes, it was delicious, I recommend it, it has a coffee flavor with a touch of orange flavor 😍. By the way I'm not sure if it's only in this location but if you don't bring your vaccination card they can't sell you anything.
Response: Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. It always makes us happy to hear feedback like yours!

MO WASEEM: I live at the Wharf and never eat here.. why?? Because ate from this location a long time ago and food was terrible. Came back today thinking maybe first time was a fluke… haaaa, was I wrong.. I ordered a plain burger… I don’t even know what that is in my pic. I mean it’s meat but looks like a loaf of brown bread.. I think they just don’t care because mostly tourist eat here and they don’t have to worry about repeat customers. Wonder if corporate know about these things..
Response: Mo, Thank you for your feedback. It's disappointing to read that your burger wasn't up to our standards. We can do better than what you've experienced, so we'd love to invite you back to the Shack. Could you email us your review at share@shakeshack.com so we can get in touch? Thank you again, The Shake Shack Team

Mike Morton: Would have been better off going to McDonald’s. Staff was rude from the start. Was told that the ice cream machine was broken, so no shakes… at the shake shop… okay. Lady at the counter (Zaya) then said, “They have a Ben & Jerry’s down the way. Our ice cream isn’t very good anyway.” We drove all the way from Hershey, PA to eat here. Very disappointed. Food was okay. My daughter liked her burger. Would definitely not return. We did enjoy Hank’s Oyster Bar. They were GREAT!
Response: Mike, Thank you for your feedback. I’m so sorry about your experience at our Shack. We pride ourselves on our hospitality, so this is extremely disappointing. We can do better than what you've experienced, so we'd love to invite you back to the Shack. Could you email us your review at share@shakeshack.com so we can get in touch? Thank you again, The Shake Shack Team

Jennifer Schelly: Standard shake shack experience. Burgers and fries were good, shakes were extremely rich. Bathrooms were clean. Outdoor seating right along the waterfront is extremely pleasant. Reducing rating for being out of chocolate shakes, staff who was easy confused and got our order wrong, and an extremely long wait times (~30 minutes for three people's worth of food). Note that this was during Covid related staff and supply chain issues, so that might be better if those issues resolve.
Response: Jennifer, Thank you for your feedback. It's disappointing to read that your experience at the Shack wasn't up to our standards. It sounds like we dropped the ball at several points during your visit. We can do better than what you've experienced, so we'd love to invite you back to the Shack. LaurieAnn White: I love chicken bacon avocado sandwiches so I tried Shake Shacks. It was ok. Bacon was crispy. Could use a tomato and onions.
Response: It always makes us happy to hear feedback like yours! Thanks for taking the time to leave a review.

Sibel B: Burger was flavorful but a little dry and the bun was sub par. The ambiance is really nothing too speak about, it looks like a Chipotle inside. It's order at the counter and seat yourself, so although there are some nice views outside on the wharf, it's not exactly a lunch experience. In terms of burgers I think All About Burger and Good Stuff Eatery are both better.
Response: Sibel, Thank you so much for the feedback! Sounds like we have some room for improvement, so it means a lot that you took the time to share your experience. We can do better than what you've experienced, so we'd love to invite you back to the Shack. Could you email us your review at share@shakeshack.com so we can get in touch? Tiffany Brandell: Very, very good food. I had a hot dog with cheese, and it was better than I thought it was going to be. The shakes are, of course, perfection! Service here was pretty fast, especially considering how busy they were. My only negative part of the experience was how dirty the bathrooms were.

Andrew Conor: We stood there in line for over ten minutes while the world's slowest cashier (who I assume was hired an hour before we got there or something) made multiple mistakes and needed a managers help to put in coupons. Okay. That's understandable. But I counted literally five different employees just standing there staring, or in their phone, while a second register was unattended. There was an obvious solution but I guess they'd rather just give 1 star service rather than put down their phones and shuffle over and take someone's order.
Response: Andrew, Thank you for your feedback. I’m so sorry about your experience at our Shack. We pride ourselves on our hospitality, so this is extremely disappointing. Italia Capone: Not an extensive menu but if you're in the mood for a good burger then you can certainly get that here.Outdoor seating and picture windows for you to look out on the water.
Response: It always makes us happy to hear feedback like yours! Thanks for taking the time to leave a review.

Nicole Kathryn: New Years Eve visit was expectedly crowded. Was surprised to see they were out of milk - advertising shakes outside, with a long line, only to get to the counter and hear for the first time that they are out of milk so not serving any ice cream, custard, or shakes. Only one person working the register most of the time we were there, and we waited 20 minutes for our food to be prepared. Burgers were very good, fries were fine but I'll never understand frozen crinkle cut fries for over $3 a serving. The manager on duty seemed very patient in dealing with other (disgruntled) customers. Tables at this location are available inside and outside overlooking the water and the wharf ice rink.
Response: Nicole, Thank you so much for the feedback! Sounds like we have some room for improvement, so it means a lot that you took the time to share your experience. Shake Shack: what do users think?

Tyler Davis: First time at a Shake Shack and wanted to see if the hype/debate over which burger shop was the best. (Between this and In-N-Out) The shakes we ordered were fantastic. The burgers, while good, weren't anything beyond what I expected. Juicy, cooked well, and imo better flavors across the board than In-N-Out. Very expensive, even compared to the Five Guys - Johnny Rockets kf the world, both of which I prefer, so I deducted 1 star. Staff was quick and friendly. Can't complain!
Response: We appreciate the positive vibes! Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback.

Drew Kenyon: Great restaurant with great staff near the national archives. My wife and I ordered a hotdog, shack chicken, French fry, and a chocolate shake and it cost around $23 plus tip. I’ve never liked crinkle cut French fries until now! They were delicious! The hot dog was super good and my wife loved the shack chicken sandwich!! The star of the show was definitely the chocolate shake! Super rich, thiccc, and creamy chocolate ice cream Hand spun into a shake???? You bet. Good lunch spot if you’re touring the notional mall! I took away one star because the bathroom didn’t have seat protectors, paper towels, and the toilet seat was…. Not attached correctly. It was also kinda dirty. Fix the bathroom and I’ll make it 5/5!
Response: We appreciate the positive vibes! Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback.

Micah Trostle: Ultimately, at the end of the day you have to respect the food that comes out of this place. I brought my friends here that we’re visiting from Papua New Guinea and it was their first time trying Shake shack and they were ecstatic about it! You’ll spend a pretty penny here but it’s definitely worth it I would suggest the outdoor seating as you can see the hustle and bustle of DC go by while you eat! Pro tip if you don’t like spicy food do not order the peppers on top of the burger! (:
Response: We appreciate the positive vibes! Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback.

Rene Alvarenga: I try the SmokeShack and I love it. Even when they forgot to put meat in one of our burgers, they are good and the staff super nice people.
Response: It always makes us happy to hear feedback like yours! Thanks for taking the time to leave a review.

Jon Doyle: 1St time here, 3rd time @ a ShakeShack and will never return to the chain. This location had RUDE employees... the cashier seemed to get a tude when I didnt opt to tip her (you get paid a full wage to take my order, punching buttons... your not even cooking so no, Im not giving you $5 tip!). We waited a long time and got the food. The girl handing the food out was nasty and rude! I asked for bbq sauce nicely and she eye rolled me and said something rude at me under her breath, grabbed other food, n walked away... another girl apologized and got for me! I saw staff touching their faces during food prep and just not having any care... All our burgers were a soggy, greasy, slophole of a mess. Meat tasted like it was bland n BOILED. Fries BLAND and unsalted and not crunch not warm even. Milkshakes were nasty... half melty. Pretty disgusting $60 lunch for 3 people! Bathrooms STUNK of sewage and were unkept. Urine all over the seat and trash can over flowing. Putrid thst my son and fiance had to go in there. Usually rude and unfriendly staff. INSANLEY over priced and not sure why.......... never again.
Response: Jon, we're disappointed to hear about your experience. This really isn't close to the standards we set for ourselves at Shake Shack. We'd love to invite you back, and make it right. Could you email us your review at share@shakeshack.com, so we can get in touch? Thank you again, The Shake Shack Team

Sir Hiltons: This is a fairly busy Shake Shack offering a swift service from friendly polite staff. As it is close to the tourist areas of the city they are used to customers who don't seem to know what they want or what the Shake Shack itself offers. I had bacon and cheese topped fries plus a milkshake. We ate outside in the the seating provided by space. Worth a visit when you are in the city and want something quick.
Response: We appreciate the positive vibes! Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback.

Stacy DeWolf: Great place to grab a quick bite in the city! I liked that I could get a Hard Cider while there too. Friendly staff, delicious food and clean restaurant. There is some on street parking, if you're lucky enough to grab a spot!
Response: We appreciate the positive vibes! Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback.

Rebecca Bagley: First time visiting a shake shack. I got a simple shake burger and fries and a cookies and cream milkshake . They were all delicious . I will definitely visit again!
Response: It always makes us happy to hear feedback like yours! Thanks for taking the time to leave a review.

Ben Rylander: Was excited to come. I love burgers, and places like this. Was excited to see they had a couple things on draft. They were out of their own Shake Shack beer, I understand it happens but was excited to try. Food was good, not great. Would go back if I lived near here. Very busy place. Good place to eat. No negatives besides the beer being out but they can’t help that to a certain extent.
Response: Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. It always makes us happy to hear feedback like yours!

Xavier: The burger I got was top tier. I usually don't rate most burger places I go to this well but this one was different then the rest. Would definitely recommend going to this location. Edit: forgot to say that they have amazing and friendly service!

Five Guys: what do users think?

Ukvayat Hanak: It's Five Guys! The only way you get a burger that competes is to find a hole-in-the-wall bar. Cajun fries every time. Even the shakes are top notch with fixings added for free - in your face Dairy Queen. Stop in and satisfy that burger craving today.

Omar Oropesa: Oh man, I just these burgers. Simply made with an amazing taste. Staff is courteous and helpful. Place is well lit up and clean. Good for the whole family. I strongly recommend. 👍🏻

Abdallah Kabbani: Rude rude RUDE staff! I come here all the time but my last experience was horrible. The cashier lady (who seemed like it was her 1st day on the job) made several mistakes to my order. Charging me for 3 fries when I asked for 2, and putting in the wrong kind of burger. When I noticed I kindly informed her and she just rudely grunted at me, and called the supervisor. Supervisor (lady with blue hair) came over and didn't even want to listen to me, acknowledge I was standing there, nor looked my way. She started the refund. I tried asking her to correct the burger as well and she just rolled her eyes at me. I told her "I asked for a little bacon cheeseburger, but the receipt says without bacon" and her response "she put in the order you asked for", and walked away after looking me from up to down. Basically telling me I'm the one at wrong. Obviously if your cashier lady makes 2 mistakes in the order and looks new, she has a problem with getting the job right, and then a person with more authority saying I'm the one at wrong. She did the refund and ofcourse didn't bother adding Bacon to my burger. Mistakes made to the order, RUDE staff, and no apology.

Dennis E Wiessner Jr: Five Guys fresh ground beef, buns, and fries -the way a burger should be. This location doesn't disappoint. Convenient location.

Steven Pakasathanan: Perfect Fries and Bruger. Location is clean and need. Staff is friendly. Taste it ;)

Nils Hünerfürst: Milkshake was heavy and unhealthy as I want it.

zist410: Extremely slow service waited 25 minutes for a burger in a empty store plus employees weren't wearing face mask food was good though

Villain Vision ENT: Burger was amazing glade I stopped by for lunch

Razelle Collins: Miss Brenda gave me quick and amazing service, I will be coming back to this location!

Jasmin Hollywood: A bit pricey for a burger but they sure are darn good. Their employees are really hard working and sweet. This location is cool.

Five Guys: what do users think?

Nitzan Ainemer: First time in Five Guys, we are non American. We came to try the burgers and fries. The staff were nice but some were impatient. The normal cheeseburger has two patties, and it’s massive. Too big for us. The taste was ok.

Evan Zimmern: Food might be fine but management is terrible. both my friends had their masks on. Everyone in the place had no masks since they were eating. Was denied a mask when I asked for one and instead of being able to sit down and my friends ordered for me, I was told to try the restaurant down the street for a mask. It has been a long time since I left a 1 star. Nice management. Workers wasn’t the problem.
Response: Hi Evan. This is far from a Five Guys experience. We're sorry to hear this. If you choose, could you contact us so we can escalate this to our local management team? You can call us at 866-345-GUYS or 24/7 at: www.fiveguys.com/contact-us

Roxianna C: The food was delicious I had a double bacon cheeseburger and I wish I would've ordered a second. I would've loved some more seasoning on my fries I wish it was an option to choose as well.

Apostolos Kyprios: Love the food, hate the service. They forgot my burgers bacon. I didn’t realize until I got home because it was takeout. This isn’t the first issue I’ve had here. Very disappointed but the food is good overall if it’s correct.

Nathan Viehland: Love their salted caramel shakes. Their hamburgers are good but very greasy.

Josh Pence: Ate here while out touring Washington DC. Masks are required and you must show a vaccination card in order to eat inside. The staff was friendly, the service was fast and the food was delicious as it always is. For more of my reviews on restaurants and other places of interest, follow me on Google reviews

WB L: Very clean, staff clears tables fast. However, fries woefully salty and the burger patty was bland.

Keri Robinson: Always a great burger. The fries, while plentiful, were a little undercooked. Fast friendly service, but they Don’t start cooking your burger until you order, so be prepared to wait a few minutes for that great tasting hamburger. Like most locations this five guys has the select the choice Coke machines offering a great variety of Coke products at the press of a button. This location offers plenty of inside dining and it is kept very clean. I was pleased to see an employee walking through the dining area with a small bucket and cleaning towel taking care of the many tables. Conveniently located a block from the McPherson Square metro station on I Street, a great location for a quick and tasty meal. Don’t forget the all you can eat peanuts.

Karolina Laska: It's a five guys so you know you'll be getting incredibly delicious food even if the price is more than other fast food places. The staff at this location was very friendly and reached out to make sure we were happy with our food. The place itself was also really clean and well maintained.

Carlos Gumataotao: First time eating here. I think I prefer it over In-N-Out, which is one of my favorites. Same type of freshly made burgers with fresh ingredients.

Ice Cream Jubilee: what do users think?

Vikram Seshadri: Interesting flavors I have never had before. Some of the flavors I tried were too strong for an ice-cream (Smoked ones..). Definitely had some interesting flavors that you gotta try.

chandrima deuri: Loved this place that I accidently discovered on our visit. I tried two of the flavors from their special cherry blossom festival menu and loved them both. The smoked vanilla cherry sakura had a strong smoked flavor which was a unique experience for me since I have never tasted smoked flavor ice cream before. The orange blossom tea cake

Nik Rama: WOW. Incredible ice cream flavors all around. They had so many wild flavors that all sounded delicious! We were able to sample a few and then order a giant 2-scoop cup at a very reasonable price. I got the passionfruit and guava sorbet as well as the cookies & cookie dough ice cream. The passionfruit and guava sorbet was incredible. Tart, sweet, fruity, and silky smooth as a sorbet. It was incredible, and those two fruits pair really well! It was so refreshing on a hot day. The cookies & cookie dough was surprisingly better than I thought it would be. I expected a decent and familiar ice cream, but this was another level. The pieces of Oreo’s were big and chunk and a little soft to allow for a more pleasant and homogeneous bite. The cookie dough was also chunk and such a high quality cookie dough. Overall this is an incredible ice cream spot if you’re looking for a non-chain location that serves high quality and unique ice cream.

pradyuman mehta: I absolutely love their ice-cream but every single time I have gone the lady who serves the ice-cream has the WORST attitude. The only thing that keeps me going back is the mango and marshmallow ice cream. They should realize that if they keep treating customers like this, they will lose all of them. This particular lady is even rude to their own staff. Jeni’s ice cream which is walking distance from here has great ice-cream and AMAZING SERVICE. No wonder they have a bigger wait and are more popular…

Bobbi DeAnda: The cookies and cookie dough is so good! Gotten it twice now and it's so tasty! Great service.

A: Best ice cream in DC hands down!! The banana bourbon caramel flavor is to die for!! I buy the pint sometimes. Always delicious 👍

Adam Kapp: The best ice cream in DC! (So much better than Jeni's.) Love the unique flavors and supporting a local business.

Michael Ciurea: The Thai tea ice cream flavor is on my top three best ice cream flavors ever. It legit tastes like a good cup of Thai tea. They also have great seasonal and occasional flavors that you should check out. This place has won many local and regional awards for their ice cream, and they’re all well earned. Great service and wonderful ice cream.

Danny Kim: Ice Cream Jubilee is a nice small ice cream shop with plenty of delicious flavors to choose! I went with the chocolate waffle cone with 3 flavors of ice cream, Thai Iced Tea, Marionberry, and Honey Lemon Lavender. The good: Each ice cream flavor was exceptionally delicious! The taste was sweet and the flavor was strong so you can actually taste the flavor ordered! My favorite is probably the Thai Iced Tea, so I will be happy to return to order more of this! Overall, definitely will be making a return trip! Love the flavors, and want to try them all.

Madeline Guth: I'm a huge ice cream lover and Ice Cream Jubilee is one of my favorites! Really creative and delicious flavors. The staff is always super friendly too. Love it here!!
Response: Thanks so much! We really appreciate your love for our staff, too!

Shawn Cook: This guy does UberEats/DoorDash , he is very rude and impatient with the workers . Very unlikeable person , sir need to learn some respect for workers , your are picking up food not ordering and if u come and your order not ready then WAIT PATIENTLY, the workers do get busy jus be patient

Nils Hünerfürst: So at first: I did not eat here by myself but I picked up some burgers for my parents and they loved it so much that they asked me to pick them some 5 guys burgers at the next day again.

Rita Moore: Friendly and fast customer service. The food was hot and my burger was cooked well done asked requested. Thank you.

Peter Spies: Fresh tasty food., Well prepared. Great friendly service when ordering. Portions and good value for money. Love the "all the free toppings" option so you customise your burger to perfection

Douglas Figueroa: Delicious burgers, quick service and really friendly staff.

Freshman Jeff: best five guys i have been to, idk his name but the one cook always has a great attitude

jaime garcia pelayo bribiesca: I am at the store right now and 2 of their 3 cooks are wearing the mask down. Mentioned to who seems to be manager since he is wearing a black shirt. He apologized saying sorry and mentioned to the staf who also heard me out loud asking them to wear their masks properly. They still wearing their masks down.

mr wright: This location has great food and I didn't wait no time for my lunch order. 2 👍🏾up!

Vincent White: Clearly I consider them in the top 3 of quality Burger Restaurants

Sheldon Munns: Burger was ok as far as Five Guys is concerned, prices way too high for what you get!

Good Stuff Eatery: what do users think?

Laurie Zabala: Delicious!! Can't say enough of how scrumptious & fresh the milkshake is. I liked that it wasn't overly sweet like other places' milkshakes. And their fries & burgers are top notch. All fresh ingredients. I tried the fried green tomato burger out of curiosity & it was great. I'd definitely come back here. Afterwards, I definitely had a food coma though from eating way too much. Reasonably priced for gourmet level burgers.

Josiah Dahlstrom: Good burger and fries from my home state - good to see spuds from Idaho. The burgers and shakes were great and came pretty quick. There’s not a a lot of sitting but the people watching and traffic was fun to watch.

Josiah Koo: Burgers were insane. Had the Prez Obama and the Melt. Both were phenomenal. Staff was friendly, environment clean, and the side sauces were bomb. For the price, it's hard to find a burger this good in the DMV for me. Definitely would recommend.

rodrigo calderon: Second time visiting this place and I guess the quality and craft of making awesome burgers has come down. Good burgers and fries…but just not what it used to be.

J Z: I had the farmhouse burger and fries. Meh. Burger size is pretty small for the price. The burger patty isn’t that much different in taste than a Five Guys burger. Fries were underseasoned.

Victoria Provenzano: Delicious juicy burger with a FAT patty and the rosemary fries are unique and absolutely delicious. Wish I had better pics

Sarah Kwak: The burger was delicious! And their chicken Caesar salad was so good! Also definitely try their coffee shake! So yummy!

Robert Alvarez: Think of 5 guys and that compares to this style of eatery. Food was good, hot and flavorful. Portion to price seems a bit low as burgers could be bigger. Fries are amazing but value to price seems a bit high. Family of 5 eating hamburgers, fries and drink ended up at $90 bucks. Better places to eat for that money.

Archbishop Dr Smith Abrams Almasi MDiv DD THD PhD: Great time at good stuff eater. Special thanks to Maura and omar for their help.Excellent shake. Good job. Kudos to the staff. Thumbs up and five stars.

Esan F.: I'm legitimately addicted to the Prez Obama Burger!!! These perfectly seasoned burgers paired with caramelized onions, yummy bacon and a mild horseradish sauce are like literal magic for my soul. The fries are just right and a welcome addition to round out this meal. All is well with the world when I'm savoring this heaven-sent concoction. Absolutely delightful!

Five Guys: what do users think?

Tracy McClain (TW Wedding Officiant): Good customer service. Great food. Fast service. Expensive, one complete meal burger, Fry & drink is $14 & up. If it's your first visit make sure to read the menu for different size burgers and items. There are no combos, everything is paid for separately. Staff wears mask for safety! You can dine in!

Daniel Wagner: Very good burger place, generous with fries and toppings, just be careful not to order too much and swamp your burger

John Palmer: Convenient location and friendly staff. One of the better fast food burgers around. Fries are made from fresh potatoes but beware; the portions are huge.

V. Jones: GiGi at 5 Guys was the best. Helped me correct an error In delivery address. And Active Menus was great! Professional & timely driver even though I made a mistake with delivery address.

art GOGGINS: Everything is over priced. Burgers are very good but 🚫 not healthy. This is a place to eat only every now and then. A $10 will not get you much here.

Allen Hayes: Come with an appetite because they overload you with fries. Got a regular size fry and it came with a cup that it filled half the bag. It was so much, that u poured some out the bag and took the rest home. The burger was very tasty and full of flavor. You can build your own burger and it’s unlimited toppings. Free refills for the fountain drink, and you can dine in. There’s also free peanuts that you can request. I took that home with my remaining fries. The only reason I didn’t give this at five is because the fries were overloaded with salt. When I picked up a fry, my fingers were covered and salt was falling from the fries. Overall though, I recommend this place and their burgers. The service was good and made all my request happened. I’d come here again. 🤗

Neely Terrell: Service is always amazing. Grateful for GG always being so sweet and welcoming. Lunch is always fresh. Great cooks and overall service. I will be back!

Haneefah Mitchell: Great customer service. Your order is presented to you exactly how you order it ,they take pride in making tasty burgers and I love the fresh fries.

James Daily: Ordered takeout and they waited to drop the fries until I got there, so they were fresh. Now that's what I call quality service.

silvanus slade: A nice location conveniently located near the Fort Totten Station. Same great quality of food and service you get at any other Five Guys. Not as busy as the downtown locations or the one on Florida Ave.

Ted's Bulletin: what do users think?

Arash Tavakoli: I had one of my best dining experiences in this place. The breakfast is easily enough for two people. The staff are super welcoming. Try their tarts and that tastes like heaven. Been very happy with the pancakes and hey they bring you a whole container of coffee. I also really liked that when we ordered one breakfast for two, they put it in two different plates. Thoughtful! So enjoy!

Calvin Thumma: My wife and I went here after a recommendation from a co-worker of mine. The area we are from has a number very good bistro and brunch locations but this meal blew them out of the water. My French toast was by far the best I’ve ever had, the bacon was crisp, potatoes were perfect and the eggs yummy. My wife’s meal was equally delicious, she order eggs, potatoes, toast and sausage. Nicole was our server and made sure every was perfect and never left our drinks get close to empty

Paul LaVigne: Enjoyed the bakery treats we had the other day so much we came back for brunch. Be sure to call ahead for reservations as this is a very busy place with longer wait times. The food was excellent. I do recommend you come and enjoy this place when you’re in town

Angelica Norman-Beltran: Walked past this restaurant on my way home and decided to stop and have dinner. I'm so glad I did. My waitress was very nice and sociable. I ordered their Lavender Mule from the cocktail menu, Loaded Tater tots to start and decided to go with Avocado toast for my dinner, and finished everything off with their seasonal Cherry Blossom Churros. Every thing tasted amazing, I'd caution on using too much of the ranch sauce on the tater tots. It added an extra salt flavor that my mouth didn't like, use it sparingly. The Avocado toast was worth it the price. The poached eggs were made perfectly and there was a lot more avocado than I expected so that was a pleasant surprise. (Note it can be spicy with they peppers they use). All in all I'm happy I found this place while on a walk. I'll need to stop by again and try out a nother dish!

Jessica Zheng: Pretty good brunch location! For drinks, we just got a caramel iced coffee and a vanilla milkshake. Coffee was okay, didn’t really taste the caramel flavor at all. For our meals- I got the Big Mark Breakfast. The sausage was very tasty but the eggs and hash brown were pretty bland, I ended up using dipping them in ketchup. Boyfriend got the salmon toast, that was surprisingly tasty! I was just weirded about eating raw salmon as my first meal of the day but it caught me by surprise!

Tilak Kalaria: Absolutely spectacular dining experience at Tex’s Bulletin for brunch. Service was awesome in this spot with a great ambience and location in DC. The food was excellent too so much to choose from. Their avacado toast has such great attention to detail. The S’mores tart was special! To better enhance our awesome experience someone kind patron paid for my party of 5’s brunch!! Highly recommend Ted’s!!

Amanda Pokrzywa: Friendly service, great atmosphere, insanely delicious food! Highly recommend the BBQ & Bacon Bloody Mary! There's something special about their homemade tarts. The Huevos Rancheros hit all the flavor profiles I was looking for.

Fiorella Hidalgo: Went to get the special cherry blossom dessert during the Cherry Blossom Festival! Smoked Salmon Benedict is one of the best I ever had before! (I like it better than Kramer’s!). It took a while to get seated on a Sunday morning, so try to make a reservation in advance!

Hannah: Okay. I’m excited to review this place as an avid brunch food lover. To begin: we were told that the wait time was 40mjn and given a buzzer. Great. No problem, totally understand. To be fair, we hadn’t made reservations that morning. We wait 50min. They then tell us to wait another 30 minutes. My pregnant and hungry friend got it changed to 20min. Still. Once inside, the vibes were great. Our server was fast and attentive. Huge food portions and cute decor. Definitely not worth the weird waiting times, but will definitely make reservations next time!

Jacob Grice: Breakfast was awesome!!! Staff was super nice, restaurant was clean and the atmosphere was uplifting and calming at the same time. Food was very good and filling , you must try the cheese cake!! Defiantly will be back again!!

Shake Shack: what do users think?

Victor: I order the shack stack which is a shooming burger with a burger patty this is my favorite sandwich from here. This is one of my favorite locations.

Michael Andrews: Do yourself a favor and don't order from this location. Every few months I forget how terrible it is and give it a try, hoping things have changed because I do like Shake Shack. Food is always put together in a sloppy fashion, often cold, and the much of the staff is rude and unhelpful. I went in for an online pickup waiting for my meal to be placed at the shelf. Standing there for 15 minutes, no other customers around. Person behind counter just staring at me. Finally I approached and asked what was going on any my food was sitting behind the counter the whole time. Finally learned my lesson.
Response: Michael, Thank you for your feedback. It's disappointing to read that your experience at the Shack wasn't up to our standards. It sounds like we dropped the ball at several points during your visit. We can do better than what you've experienced, so we'd love to invite you back to the Shack. Could you email us your review at share@shakeshack.com so we can get in touch? Thank you again, The Shake Shack Team

Steve McDaniel: My god - I still don't know what they put in these things but it is soooo good. These burgers are absolutely addicting and delicious to the max. Every component down to the sauce accentuates the flavor of the burger to bring out its peak. Fries are OK but it's all about the burger here. The staff was great as well and as I was traveling with a handicapped person they were very gracious in helping us. Every location I have visited always has the same consistency. Something I truly appreciate in today's tough staffing and stressful world. #stevensleavin

Shannon Settles: Usually the food (i.e. a burger and fries) here is quickly delivered and of quality taste. My recent visit was average. The burger and fries were were ok as well as the service and wait. I can’t say it was poor just average. I will give the place another try in the future hoping my experience was an anomaly.
Response: Thank you for your feedback, Shannon Settles. We're sorry about your experience at our Shack. We can do better than what you’ve experienced, so we’d love to invite you back to the Shack. Could you email us your review at share@shakeshack.com so we can grab your details? Thank you again, The Shake Shack Team

Corey Williams: Awesome burgers! Photo is the Smoke Shack Burger and Buffalo fries.
Response: It always makes us happy to hear feedback like yours! Thanks for taking the time to leave a review.

Mischa: My first experience here was okay. I got the chicken bites and a craft beer. Although the chicken bites were very tasty, they were also overpriced. Almost fifteen dollars for ten not-so-big chicken bites and one drink. The craft beer selection could be better as well. On top of that, at least in this location, there were no electrical outlets that I could find near any of the seats. Other than that, my meal was good and I would probably try something else if I come back.
Response: Mischa, Thank you so much for the feedback! Sounds like we have some room for improvement, so it means a lot that you took the time to share your experience. We can do better than what you've experienced, so we'd love to invite you back to the Shack. Could you email us your review at share@shakeshack.com so we can get in touch? Thank you again, The Shake Shack Team

Kristina Walker: Stood in line only to find out they stop doing shakes at a certain time. The people in front of me had to get refunded because the cashier was even unaware. Would’ve been nice to have a heads up before I spent my time waiting in line.
Response: Kristina Walker, thanks for taking the time to reach out. We are disappointed to hear about your experience during this visit. We'd like to follow up with you. Could you email us your review at share@shakeshack.com, so our team can get in touch with you directly? Thanks again, The Shake Shack Team

Ac Mitchell: The chicken bites were cooked to my perfection- batter was lightly coated and crispy! Sooo good I forgot to take a pix! On the other hand the dipping sauces were weak and the prices are too damn high! It cost us $30+--- 2 6pc, 2 fries, 1milkshake
Response: AC, Thank you so much for the feedback! Sounds like we have some room for improvement, so it means a lot that you took the time to share your experience. We can do better than what you've experienced, so we'd love to invite you back to the Shack. Could you email us your review at share@shakeshack.com so we can get in touch? Thank you again, The Shake Shack Team

Imani: Saw a customer give one of the employees a cash tip. I’m all for tipping but the employee grabbed the money and did not change her gloves. I watched her continue to prepare food. Y’all need to be a little more cognizant of things like that. Money is very dirty considering it’s passed around an infinite number of times
Response: Imani, Thank you so much for your feedback. We take food safety and sanitation very seriously and would like to investigate this further. Could you email us your review at share@shakeshack.com so we can grab your details? Thanks again, The Shake Shack Team

Kodi Wieland: My kids are officially obsessed with Shake Shack. They kept asking to go back. It was super busy, but affordable and delicious!
Response: We appreciate the positive vibes! Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback.

Hovermale's Tastes Best: what do users think?

Beatriz Jarvis: Always consistently 10 out of 10. Best ice cream in Maryland. So creamy and unlike any other soft serve!!

Romie Bawar: Love this spot! My “go to” for 30+ years- even when I have to drive 100+miles too get some :) Keep doing what you do: bringing smiles and satisfying taste buds! Hovermale’s truly Tastes Best

SUNNYDAYS 4EVA: The rude customer service ruined the experience. They are some RUDE young adults working this ice cream stand. Also, when ordering an ice cream cup option, they give you more whipped cream in the cup than ice cream. I came here for ice cream, not a cup full of whipped cream ...smh. I've patronized Hovermales for years. This by far was the worst experience. A Customer Service skills refresher is absoultely needed at this establishment. So very disappointing.

Janet Taylor: The product is still delicious! A pandemic side note: the person handling all of the cash shouldn't be the person handling the cones too. Two stars were deducted because I witnessed this.

Megan: Hands down, the best soft serve I've ever had. I may be biased since I've been coming here since I was about two, but it is seriously good! Hovermale's offers chocolate, vanilla, or a swirl option for ice cream flavors, and the flavor is like none other. I recently had the opportunity to bring my toddler, which was an incredibly special experience. I've never been disappointed and love that the place has never changed for as long as I can remember.

Shirley Mitchell: Love ❣️❣️ this place everything is so good especially the ice cream

Lyssa McEachern: I don’t know if it’s because I’m not nostalgic about Hovermales but I don’t feel the same way as most of these reviews. Don’t get me wrong the ice cream is great (hence the 4 stars), I usually get the swirl, but I hate that I can’t use my card to pay and they only take cash - it prevents me from coming as much as I’d like to and I’m sure I’m not the only one. I also with they had sprinkles or other toppings too. I know they’re going for the mom and pop place but adding some new upgrades would be a good thing in my opinion. I’ll still come back, just a bit frustrating and inconvenient.

Russell Swenton: Love stopping in for an occasional barbecue and an ice cream cone,or milkshake !

Peter Chevere: Locally this place is well known. The fact that they open only seasonally probably adds to the demand. If you're looking for soft serve, with nothing fancy, you'll be ok here. You could definitely do worse. But you could also do better. Limited toppings, a very inflexible menu, and a cash only policy make it hard for me to justify this as way better than mcdonald's. Only a little better. Honestly, if you want soft serve with better options, more toppings, a flexible menu, and the ability to pay with something other than cash, do yourself a favor and find a dairy queen. But if you want a no frills but decent soft serve and enjoy supporting local businesses then give it a try.

Coffey Smith: The icecream is delicious! They should have a credit card scanner. This place is cash only. Its 2021 people. But it was worth the trip back!
