Washington Physio DC LLC: what do users think?

Brett B: I cannot stress enough how great the therapists at PhysioDC are! Dan was especially awesome and I highly recommend him and the rest of his team to anyone in need of physical therapy. They genuinely care about getting you back on your feet / in the swing of things (depending on your injury!) in a safe yet efficient manner. Do yourself a favor and go here!

Daniel Pedersen: I've been working with this practice for over 3 years, and every time I injure myself they are there to fix me up! All of them are top physical therapy professionals who know their stuff, care about you and will get you back on your game again. They take the time to listen and to explain - they each have their specialties but I would fully trust any of them. The office administration is well run, location is convenient - they are the best!

ES295: Professionals who actually care about your recovery. I was very nervous that I’d never have full capability after Achilles heel surgery. Josh Ripp worked with me and I’m back 100%. Not all therapy practices are alike- despite what my surgeon said. Some just check the boxes and you’re just another lump of meat with a co pay. PhysioDC takes the time to listen and care unlike any others. Full credit to Josh and company for my recovery.

J Rose: They get you in for your appointment within 5-10 minutes if arriving. The therapists here are very friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive to the patients. The facility has decent space. Based on my 2 visits this far, there are usually anywhere from 4-7 patients in at once, but I never feel like it's cramped or crowded.

Janaye Dzikewich: A genuinely caring group of physical therapists is hard to find in this city. Each staff member at Physiodc is professional, honest and takes your recovery to heart. I leave each treatment feeling as if I am apart of team - not just a patient with a billing code.

James Schafer: This is by far the best Physical Therapy group I have found around the city. The therapists are top notch and you receive 1st class treatment. No techs, interns, noobs; you get a great, real life PT for a full session. I have rehabbed a serious spinal injury here and have nothing but great things to say about the administration and therapists. Just let them know what type of injury you are working with and they will find the right therapist for your needs. A++

CM F.: Reception desk is friendly, my Therapist Ashley is pleasant, professional, and knowledgeable. I love her designed home practice schedule and it's easy to set continuous following appointments with her.

Sarah Mitwala: Was referred here for dry needling. Very painful process which I wasn’t prepared for initially, but it has made a pretty big difference for my lower back issues. Definitely not for everyone. I’ve also seen Daniel for regular PT and strengthening exercises and would recommend seeing him if you go with this practice.

Alan Fields: Friendly ,competent and professional and they utilize the full time. I have had PT services in the past that would cut corners on time.

Jeffrey Hauser: I have had a tremendous experience with Chris and the entire practice seems very well run. Diagnosed and attacked my weaknesses with clinical precision.

District Performance & Physio: what do users think?

Taylor Steadman: Short Version: District Performance & Physio taught me how to manage my pain without pills, connected me with a trusted new neurosurgeon in the area to get a second opinion, educated me on my options and informed me of the current research, and most importantly, helped me get my life back. If it were not for Jesse and his team, I would have had an unnecessary neck surgery and I would not be living the active, healthy, and happy lifestyle that I am now. Long Version: As a last ditch attempt to avoid neck surgery, a good friend of mine (a physical therapist in North Carolina) mentioned I should contact Jesse (the owner) and his team was before deciding on surgery. At this point in my injury, I had lost hope that I might get better. I had severely herniated a disk in my neck 12 months before seeing Jesse’s team and the current neurosurgeon I had been seeing told me it was time for a fusion or a synthetic disk replacement. As a 27 year old athlete, I was devastated to hear this. My previous physical therapy team (before District) was not helping me improve and I was sick and tired of taking pills to mask the intense breakouts of pain. Reluctantly, I made an appointment with District Performance & Physio. Dispute my reluctance to go form a new relationship and spend time and money, there is simply no replacement for the one on one time you get to spend with this team’s individual therapists. When you have an appointment, you are not seeing an assistant to the therapist, you are seeing THE therapist. At each appointment, you have the full attention of the therapist you are working with, which allows for a different physical therapy experience than you might get elsewhere. Most physical therapy businesses are more or less “farms”….they judge their success by how many patients they can fit in a day, not how their patients overall well-being increases. This is NOT how District Performance & Physio functions. There is simply no price I could put on the immense progress I have made while working with their team. I remember in my first appointment, Jesse mentioned that he will be assessing me over the next few sessions to understand more about my situation. Based on what I had told him and my recent neurosurgeon visit, he didn’t know if I would improve, but he knew in about 3 appointments that he would be able to tell if I was going to improve. He also told me that if that were not the case and I couldn’t improve, he would give me a refund for my sessions. I can’t stress enough how important it is to have a therapist you can trust - one who will set realistic expectations. The team at District Performance & Physio is engaging and truly cares about my health progress. They are interactive and always go above and beyond to make sure my needs are met. Lastly, I always leave my appointments having worked hard and having had a blast. Jesse and his team taught me how to manage my pain without pills, connected me with a trusted new neurosurgeon in the area to get a second opinion, educated me on my options and informed me of the research, and most importantly, helped me get my life back. If it were not for Jesse and his team, I would have had neck surgery and I would not be living the active, healthy, happy lifestyle that I am now.
Response: We can't even begin to thank you enough for sharing your story Taylor. We're so glad you're getting back to having that active life and were able to avoid surgery! You also couldn't have explained how we work and how we try to be different any better. Thank you so much for taking the time to leave this amazing review.

Caroline Zenkel: I have been seeing Jesse since July 2021, when I had a tear in my hip labrum and a hamstring strain. Jesse was the second PT I saw, and made me feel much more confident in my abilities. I was able to start working out pain free faster than I was originally told from the other PT. I continue to see Jesse to work on strength and conditioning. If I ever feel a tweak, he has made himself available for quick chats so I know how to adjust my fitness routine. Jesse is a master of his craft, very warm, and has helped me tremendously. While I healed from my injury, I plan to continue monthly sessions to keep in shape. Highly recommend Jesse/District Performance as the best PT in the District.
Response: Thanks so much for the kind words Caroline! So glad to hear you're back to working out and faster than you thought. We're always trying to give people confidence in their bodies so thank you so much for mentioning that.

Jim Edwards: Over the years Jesse has helped me bounce back from several injuries. He's usually quick to pinpoint the route of a problem, and the exercises he prescribes to resolve it often seem too easy to work. But trust me, they do! As a fitness professional myself and a triathlete, I often think my injuries require more sophistication and complexity, but that's not the case. Jesse reminds me that for most of us sticking to the basics is the best course. But to get there requires a great deal of skill at assessment and treatment, and for my money no one I've met does it better.
Response: Sometimes easy is the best solution! We try to find the simplest but most effective solution all at the same time. Thanks so much for taking the time to leave a review and the extremely kind words.

Nicolas Sensenbrenner: I’ve been working with Jesse for three years now. We’ve successfully addressed lower back pain, and hip and ankle issues. He’s very goal oriented. Every time I see him we work together to diagnose my problem and develop a plan to help me get back to healthy movement. He also checks in with me regularly to see how I’m doing. When I developed tendinitis he identified strength imbalances that contributed to my ankle pain. He gave me ankle, knee, and hip exercises and explained to me that I needed to strengthen muscles up the chain to stabilize my ankle. Jesse held me accountable for doing my exercises, tracked my progress, and encouraged me to push when I hit a plateau. After more than one year of recovery I am running again. Jesse is always eager to help. I’ve sent family and friends to see him. He reaches out to them personally to understand their problems and their goals. I highly recommend Jesse and the District Performance team.
Response: Thanks for your recommendation! So awesome to hear you're running again. We always believe that no matter what you're dealing with you can get back to running or any other part of exercise so great job! Thanks so much for taking the time to leave a review.

Jonathan Kirkendall: During the pandemic I developed knee problems. Having had surgery on my right knee, my surgeon informed me that it was time to do the other knee, but there was a big problem: the delta variant. This variant was just in the initial phases of it's eventual surge, and as a healthcare worker, I had zero interest in pursuing surgery and the requisite PT during a pandemic. I contacted Jesse, and he started working with me immediately via telehealth, strengthening both legs. Probably the best part was his willingness to work with my trainer, who took Jesse's input and created an exercise regime for me that aligned with the work I did with Jesse. The result? Two years later, and still no surgery. I'm stronger throughout my entire body. Just recently I returned to work with Jesse in person for a tune up. Two sessions later I felt better and more confident in my body. One more thing - as a mental health professional, I've been impressed with Jesse's knowledge base of the relationship between physical health and mental health. He gets it! I would not hesitate to recommend anyone to this practice.
Response: Love to hear you avoided surgery! Sometimes surgery is needed, but thanks for sharing your story because too often people get surgery when there might be other options. It's also really important to know that mental and physical health are related. Too many people aren't getting the help they need because that link is missed. Thanks so much for taking the time to leave a review and sharing your story!

Ilyssa Haffner: Jesse is a great physical therapist who is very knowledgeable and thoughtful in his approach. He makes you feel immediately comfortable and has never had the mindset that stopping movement is the answer to healing pain. So grateful that I found someone whose able to help alleviate pain while allowing me to remain active. I’d recommend highly recommend Jesse and team to anyone I know!
Response: Thanks Ilyssa! It always means the world to us when people trust us enough to refer their friends and family to us. Thank you!

Robert Alter: Overcome low back pain. Jesse helped me understand the underlying causes of my low back pain and patiently address them step by step. My back feels stronger, more flexible, and more resilient than it has in a decade. I am an active person approaching 50 -- with walking, jogging, yoga, strength training, and martial arts all part of my regular activities. I had suffered periodic episodes of low back pain for more than 25 years, becoming more frequent and more intense in my 40s. A spasm during my most recent episode left me wincing for more than 10 days and searching for a new approach. With his rare combination of art, science, empathy, patience, and communication, Jesse helped me reframe mentally and physically everything I had been doing for years to "protect" my back. Working with Jesse has been the single best investment I have made in my health. I am so grateful for his help.
Response: Thanks so much for sharing your story Rob! That's amazing to hear how much better your back is doing after so long. Far too many people think they just have to live with chronic back pain and there's nothing to do about it. Have fun enjoying martial arts and all of your other exercise!

Joe Spofford: I've gone to District Performance & Physio here and there over the years for various shoulder injuries. Having gone to other physical therapists in the past, I can say that the quality of care and expertise at District Physio is best in class. I am an athlete and they've consistently helped me get back to workouts and to the courts/fields in minimal time. Fully endorse Jesse and his team!
Response: Thanks for the amazingly kind words Joe! So awesome to hear you're back to your workouts and back on the field.

Corinne Acosta: I felt welcome at District Performance from my first phone call. After years of being in and out of physical therapy, I quickly sensed that I was being heard. This held true for my in-person appointments with Ariella. I came to Ariella with a range of issues, but she worked with me to set some clear goals that worked well with my existing strength training routine. For the first time, I had a PT who understood the importance of my training, and I love that their team often does workouts together. We got to the root of some of my main nerve tension and neck/back pain quickly. And I’ll never forget how after 32 years on this planet, someone finally taught me how to breathe properly! Thank you, Ariella, for creating such a safe space to take care of my body. I’m stronger than I’ve ever been, and I really look forward to our monthly check-ins.
Response: We're SO happy you had such a great experience. Thank you so much for leaving a review and sharing a perfect summary of the environment and culture we try to provide. Looking forward to continuing to help you get stronger and take care of your body!

Rose Leonard: Ariella has been so helpful in addressing tailbone pain that I noticed after beginning weight lifting. After just a few sessions I have been able to do exercises that I couldn’t dream of doing a few months ago. Ariella is incredibly knowledgeable and caring in every meeting we have and sets out a very clear treatment plan for me to follow. The results have been amazing. I cannot recommend her enough!
Response: We absolutely love hearing that you're able to do exercise now that you couldn't dream of doing before! Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review and we're just as excited about the results as you are!

Washington Wellness Physical Therapy and SportsCare, LLC: what do users think?

Stephanie Sneary: Always excellent care! Washington Wellness therapists have assisted me with recovery from surgeries multiple times since 2012 and they are always my preference for PT care.

Eric Clopper: As someone who has seen many physical therapists for injuries/surgeries in the past, I can say with absolute confidence that Kelly is one of the best!! Dr. Kelly Leininger (the owner) helped me make a full recovery from two major shoulder surgeries over the past year. She understands where her patients are, where they're looking to go, and she couples that with an unparalleled understanding of the human body and how it recovers. Highly recommend Washington Wellness, Kelly, her team, and the facility -- always clean, safe, and on time as well (as a bonus!).

Dana swendsen: There great I called as a new patient and they were able to get me in the same day. My Physical Therapist Kristi is great she is very caring and I trust her with my knee. The whole staff is always pleasant.

Peter Sexton: Washington Wellness has been great for my rehabilitation! Kristi has been great, and makes sure to put together a plan with your specific goals in mind. I would first recommend not getting injured, but if that fails I would definitely recommend Washington Wellness

James Peranteau: Great physical therapy, I have been very happy with the quality, structure, and service of the physical therapists. On the administrative side, however, I have been disappointed. Washington Wellness directly charged me for my physical therapy sessions, rather than charging my insurance provider. In the process, Washington Wellness overcharged me a couple of hundred dollars. The staff have acknowledged this, but it has been nearly four months since my last physical therapy, and I still have not received a refund. My emails often go unanswered, and the staff typically deflect my calls. This is unfortunate, because the actual physical therapy is quite good.

Stoyan Dimitrov: The whole team is engaged from the minute you walk in the door. Front desk is polite, helpful and extremely nice. Appointments are scheduled easily, reminders are set and send, so you have one less thing to worry about. Everything is well explained and communicated from the beginning. Best place for physical therapy ever. Here, you can find professional therapists and friendly staff. And what is also important - team members fit your needs and accommodate your situation. Keep up the good work!

Vishal Batra: Jennifer, Kelly and their team are very knowledgeable, and have been great in getting me on the right track for my acl recovery. They've been really attentive towards my therapy. She's my second therapist as I'm 8 months post op, and wish I'd gone to them first. The whole team their is cool.

Charles and Suzanne Carrigan: Kelly Leninger at Washington Wellness knows her business when it comes to helping people with musculoskeletal issues. Charles's knee pain on stairs has been significantly reduced as a result of the care she has provided. She also identified and is working on other issues that affect normal, every-day mobility. We recommend her highly.

Catherine Roth: I thought my physical therapist was friendly and knowledgable. The structure for care at this office did not resonate well with me. After the first intake evaluation, you work with a PT for about 20 - 30 minutes each session, and then do exercises on your own or with the instruction of an aide. However, during my time with the PT, she was often slightly distracted with the client she had seen before me that was now on to doing exercises. The PT has to tell the aide very quickly what exercises to do with you that day, while her next client is already waiting. The aide often needed more guidance, so the PT would pipe in sometimes to tell the aide what to do next or how to do something. The PT aide also didn't really give much feedback while I was doing exercises - like whether I was doing it right or wrong, what I should be feeling etc. The effect being that it seemed like no one was able to fully concentrate on one client at a time. This structure might work for lots of people, but it didn't work for me.

Amal Disparte: Second time I've gone-first time for broken femur after car accident-this time for nerve damage in my hand. Can't recommend them enough-especially owner, Kelly. Staff is thoughtful and empathetic and come with a plan that really works! Highly recommend.!

Elite Physical Therapy & Wellness Center: what do users think?

Jamie Kaplan: Terry is a fantastic physical therapist and one of the best in the area. She works closely with their patients and knows the DC medical community well. The one down side to being one of her patients is that wait times can be long when transitioning from working with a tech on exercises to seeing Terry in a room. Hopefully the practice can address this so that things are a bit more efficient, but again Terry is a great PT.

Jenna Pekofsky: Terry and the whole team at Elite Physical Therapy and Wellness give therapy and healthcare a good name. They all pay attention to each patient thoroughly, are incredibly knowledgeable, and committed to using many tools, methods, and modalities to give you the care you need. They take the time with manual therapy and develop excellent home exercise programs to speed up recovery and find balance in the body. For something as disheartening as having chronic hip pain form an injury, being there makes me feel better every time- it’s just good place to be. I have been to other PT clinics, and they just aren’t as invested and hands-on as they are at Elite. I’m grateful to have found them for my care and recovery!

Dynamic Physiotherapy: what do users think?

Morgan Powell: Johan is the best physical therapist in Washington DC. My husband had previously received care with Johan previously and I knew that I wanted to go to him to help rehab my knee. He provided a personalized care plan and modalities EVERY session. I will go see Johan every time I need physical therapist.

Tasha Pulvermacher: Great experience. Had major back pain which is now dramatically better/gone. I highly recommend Johan Arango for all your physical therapy needs. His exercises are very practical and helpful for long term relief.
Response: Tasha, thank you so much. We are glad we were able to help you keep doing all the activities you love.

german quintana: I visited Johan after strong pain in my back and neck. After a detailed screening, he performed an excellent therapy that worked very fast. Excelente professional, fully recommended.

Alan Helig: Johan is excellent! I was in a terrible accident with damage to my spine and shoulder. I had significant nerve issues, muscle ,and skeletal issues all of which are gone. No pain! Thank you!

Winston Kelly: Johan and Luis are incredibly detailed and skilled in their respective fields. Both the physical therapy and personal training services have immensely helped me as I recover from injury and as I regain my strength. They offer an incredibly large suite of services, care, and treatment for all kinds of needs. I cannot recommend their business and services enough!
Response: Winston, we appreciate you kind words. For us is a privilege to be able to help you.

D K: Johan is extremely professional, knowledgeable and considerate. He takes time to understand your concerns and design your exercise program to meet your needs. He is specialized in dry needling. I was a patient to him for long lasting muscle pain and received dry needling. It’s been 2 months since I received it and have no pain now. I have seen him working with his client with enthusiasm and compassion. I would highly recommend him if you’re looking for high quality care.
Response: DK, we appreciate your comments. To see people moving and enjoying what they love is our priority.

Carolina Marin: I was truly impressed with the work of this PT professional. Johan is a master of his skill. He goes beyond designing your routine and guiding you through the exercises. He really cares about you as a human being. He demonstrates genuine interest in your current and future needs, depending on your lifestyle and goals. I had multiple back problems for years and now my life has changed thanks to Johan's personalized plan. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!!! You have a customer for life.
Response: Carolina, the only thing we can say is thank you for allowing us to work with you to reach your personals goals.

Luis Humberto Benitez Gonzalez: The service and attention were impeccable. I came to the clinic with pain in my lower back and in the sciatic nerve, from the first session with Johan I noticed the improvement. Being disciplined with the exercises and recommendations that he indicated to me, the pain has almost completely disappeared. He continually sent me follow up messages to find out how I was doing and make adjustments to exercises or reschedule more sessions. Highly recommended!
Response: Luis, we are glad that our recomendaciones and work help you to stay active. As you said discipline and consistency always pays off.

Tania Esquivel: Excellent service and personal attention which is hard to find in the DMV area. Johan is an outstanding bilingual physiotherapist very people oriented, therefore, I highly recommend his services. Within two sessions my backpack was gone.
Response: Tania, Thank you, we are here whenever you need us. We are happy we were able to help you.

Pure Sports Physical Therapy: what do users think?

JP A: Purvi managed my rehab following rotator cuff surgery. I chose her for the rehab after I learned that my shoulder surgeon went to her for his own physical therapy. Selecting Purvi turned out to be a great choice. When we started, I could not lift my arm 90 degrees. Now, after months of rehab with Purvi, I have full range of motion and am able to play golf again—which was one my objectives. Aside from her very capable technical skills, Purvi is personable and has an excellent bedside manner. It was a joy to work with her. I heartily recommend her to anyone needing physical therapy.
Response: Thank you for your kind words, Jerry. I’m so happy that I’ve been able to help you get back to all your goals and you are all healthy again!

Ahmet Tokpinar: I have been seeing Purvi over a year for shoulder rotator cuff recovery. She is probably the best PT i have ever worked with. Very attentive and responsive and she is very experienced in dry-needle therapy which is a life saver. Highly recommend her!
Response: Thank you for your kind words, Ahmet. I’m so happy to be able to help you!

Marina Hayrapetyan: Physical therapy is one of those areas where you have to kiss a lot of frogs until you find the prince. Pure Sports is that prince. Purvi is a masterclass when it comes to putting you back together and moving after whatever setback you've had. It also helps that she has a great sense of humor and puts you at ease, while she works her magic. She will leave you off with homework, and if you stick to it, her magic multiplies.
Response: Thank you so much for the kind words, Marina! I am so happy that I can help you!

Una Song: i started going to purvi at pure sports three years ago after i didn't see myself improving after going to two other physical therapists. she correctly diagnosed my condition and worked with me to regain strength and range of motion. physical therapy takes time, patience and discipline. when i would get discouraged, purvi would remind me of these things and help me stay positive during my recovery. i have recommended her to my husband and anyone i know that needs physical therapy. she's the best.
Response: So happy to be able to help you recover, Una!

Mc Bobby: I would recommend Purvi @ Pure Sports Physical Therapy without reservations. For better or worse, I’ve had a lot of experience with physical therapy due to a number of sports related injuries. The results of that therapy have been mostly a mixed bag given that some of the practitioners that I worked with were often overwhelmed with their workload, and/or not always that attentive or diligent. So when my physician recommended some additional therapy, I went to Pure Sports with some pretty low expectations (despite some really good word of mouth I heard about the practice before heading in). I am sure glad that my expectations were found to be wrong. Purvi is incredibly dedicated to her patient’s long-term wellbeing. She listens, she comes up with a practical recovery plan, and she also keeps up with the latest in clinical trends. She’s a consummate problem solver, and at least for my part, I am far better off due to her treatment. If you must go through physical therapy, Purvi’s professionalism and demeanor makes the whole process entirely worth it.
Response: Bobby, thank you for the kind words. I’m so happy to hear that I was able to help you!

Alison Marriott: Purvi is an outstanding physical therapist! She has helped me recover from various injuries over the years. Her technique, knowledge, personality and professionalism are all great. Would highly recommend.
Response: Thank you for your kind words, Alison. I’m so happy I can help you through it all!

Vidal Sadaka: Purvi is the best! Her combination of dry needling and strengthening exercises has really helped alleviate my pain. She is very knowledgeable and always upbeat!
Response: Thank so much for the kind words, Vidal. I’m always so happy that I can help you!

Cim Weiss: When I was limping in pain, when I was unable to twist my head, and when I broke my shoulder, Purvi gave me back my life. Even though the exercises are sort of boring, do them faithfully - they work. I plan to see Purvi once a year for a general check-up.
Response: Hi Cim! I’m so glad that I’ve been able to help you recover from all your injuries!

Vital Physical Therapy, Washington, DC: what do users think?

K. Aquino: I was seeing Chili for the better part of a year, fairly consistently over a period of 9 months. I have been having chronic and quite severe back pain for about 6 months before I started going to her and she was instrumental to my recovery. Some of the best things about going to Chili: Chili takes the time to assess and monitor progress over the necessary period of time. Chili doesn't rush appointments. I was going to a PT "chain" prior and always felt like I was in a rush in and out the door, and had therapists who were very detached for the most part. Chili has a magic touch. It's hard to explain, but all I can say is that she has a true gift, apart from her experience, her pedigree and her dedication! Best of all, Chili knows and doesn't hesitate to refer out to alternative pain management places (as a complement to my protocol) or to a different specialist when she knows that it's the best thing for my recovery. Her primary concern was getting me to a good baseline and I'm happy to say almost three months after my last appointment with her, I am predominantly pain-free, and when I do get pain, it's a fraction of what it was before.

Ashley Spillane: I had never been to physical therapy before dislocating my shoulder this year. After a few sessions with other therapists (who made it worse, not better), I can confidently say you shouldn't go anywhere else. Vital Physical Therapy is a hidden gem - a small practice tucked inside a small local gym. Chili rehabilitated my shoulder quickly and as painlessly as possible. She's incredibly kind and I really looked forward to my sessions every week. I have sent several friends to Chili and seen her work her magic on a range of issues. She's the best!

Sherry Burke: Chili is AMAZING! I have had my share of physical therapists due to injuries from working out and a bike accident. NOONE was providing any long term relief. Luckily when working out with one of my trainers, I met Chili. I only wish I had met Chili a long time ago. She has some how fixed my shoulder problem, my pain the a$$ Sciatica and regualar maintenance. HIGHLY RECOMMEND Chili
Response: Thank you Sherry for the kind review!! I enjoy working with you. Got to help you stay active and well!!

Martin Lowe: Chili has help heal a partial Left rotator cuff tear and I am currently working with her on right rotator cuff full tear post surgery. 6 months post surgery and 90 % better. She is amazing and I recommend her for all my clients when they need a PT. She knows how to push and recommends the proper exercise for the best results. She is great!
Response: You have worked hard Martin!! It's great to see the improvements you have made and how far you've come. Soon enough you will be back to the gym lifting without worrying about your shoulder.

Brett Bivans: I had issues in both my hip and shoulder/neck. The muscles were contracting and not releasing - both tension and pain. Chili was able to isolate the muscles, massage them to release, and show me how to stretch and relax in my day to day. In one case, dry needling was the trigger to help the muscle to "let go". Chili is great: not stressed about time, gives me a few exercises I can do on my own, communicates with both my doctor and my trainer to give me a 360 plan. PLUS takes insurance.

Tammy C: I started PT skeptically as a last resort over a year after a hip stress fracture and planned to only attend a few sessions. I ended up going back to see Chili for 3 months. Chili started by talking me through and helping me understand my previous MRI reports, as well as some bloodwork results to help monitor my vitamin levels, which was unexpected but very appreciated! Chili created a tailored strengthening plan for me that was continually modified as I progressed and she managed to address both my eagerness to become active again and concern about reinjury. As I started easing back into light exercises, I realized the manual PT work was really needed in addition to the prescribed strengthening exercises. Aside from her expertise, I also valued her patience and flexibility-- she was always willing to answer the endless questions I had and even went above and beyond with advice on general health. Chili was able to coordinate with my schedule as a full time professional finishing graduate school and scheduling sessions was never a concern. Even though I've "graduated" from PT, I won't hesitate to reach out to Chili if I have any concerns as I continue to progress.

Maggie Schilling: I worked with both Chili and Vikki after dislocating my shoulder while roller skating. I had pain and limited range of motion when I started therapy and left 10 weeks later with almost all range of motion recovered. This was my first experience working with a physical therapist. Both Chili and Vikki are great. It is a small practice that is truly a one-on-one experience. All appointments started on time and the office location is convenient.

Ya Ll: I came to Chili Lati, Physical Therapy (CLPT) through a recommendation because I was still having major pain and mobility issues stemming from back to back car accidents. The location of CLPT is in a small private training gym. It is a nice clean space in an accessible Dupont location. When you have an appointment it is one on one and not a huge waiting room of clients. When I first met Chili at her practice, she took the time to truly listen and understand the issues that I was having from my accident. In addressing a plan, one of the concerns that I had, especially with back pain, is being over prescribed or overly aggressive treatment. Chili is open to integrating a holistic approach in treating pain. She is also very good at adjusting your plan as needed as your circumstance improves. In the time that I was being treated, other huge positives are that Chili continues her education and training as a physical therapist for the benefit of her patients; she has a warm bedside manner; and also is very accessible when needing an appointment or schedule adjustment. I did appreciate the individualized attention. I really felt that my well being and progress were genuinely cared about. Going from a half-marathoner (pre-injury) to being unable to walk across the street from the garage to the office without curling up in extreme pain, to now being able to walk for more than a mile without great pain is a huge gain from treatment. Chili is great about providing exercises during therapy, and modifications for everyday movement and exercise that I plan to use as I work on regaining my fitness. After working with CLPT more physical activity seems plausible and once again enjoyable in the near future. If you are in need of PT from an injury I highly recommend giving Chili a try.

Victoria Lanteigne: I highly recommend Vital Physical Therapy. I've seen both Chili and Vikki for PT issues related to a yoga injury. Both are very skilled and knowledgeable, and just lovely people! Their space is clean and comfortable, and also private -- unlike other clinics that have open rehab areas. I am now pain free, but will keep Chili and Vikki as my go-to PTs if needed.
Response: So glad to be of help. Keep up the yoga and stay well!!

Marc Irving: Chili is a great PT. I came to her for lower back pain. I have a bulged disc that bothers me. I saw an orthopedic dr. And they suggested I get surgery. I got a second opinion from chili and she suggested dry needling and structural manipulation. I opted out of surgery and worked with chili. I started to get pain relief while on chili’s table and haven’t had any since. Chili knows what she’s doing and is a great PT. I highly recommend.
Response: So glad we were able to help. It’s always best to try PT before considering back surgery. Stay well!!

Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation: what do users think?

Meredith McGoings: I came to Lucia at Star Rehabitation and Spirts in January with excruciating left knee pain. She messaged and gave me exercises to do daily. My ability to walk without pain improved quite a bit. Now I am pain free and walking without a cane. I highly recommend Lucia Lee as a very knowledgeable physical therapist.Meredith M.
Response: We really appreciate your vocal support in so many ways. Thank you!

Nick Rajpara: Dr. Lucia Lee is extremely welcoming and a great explainer of what is happening with your ailments. She is friendly and focused on helping her patients. The best physical therapist I have had so far.
Response: Thank you for taking time out of your day to leave feedback. We appreciate your business!

Mariam Mehter: Lucia does such a great job working with me on my various issues and takes the time to patiently answer my questions. Unfortunately I'm always reinjuring myself but hoping she doesn't get too fed up with me!
Response: It’s great to hear you had a five-star experience. All of us at STAR appreciate your business and positive feedback!

Mike Wheeler: Everyone I spoke with was incredibly kind and helpful. Dr. Lee is such an expert and helped me comfortably and thoroughly navigate the issue I was having. Couldn't recommend more highly!
Response: We are glad you had a good experience! Thank you for the review!!!

Jura: This place is fabulous. As a customer of Sports Therapy and Rehab before the pandemic, I was skeptical about switching to online Physical Therapy for my shoulder. Kathy Braun is amazing and she is so skilled at therapy that she can immediately give you feedback as you are doing the exercises she demonstrates for you. I get huge rewards from my weekly online sessions with her. Kathy has a staff of amazing therapists and a very thorough and dedicated staff that keep everything operating smoothly. Everyone you encounter is upbeat and focused on getting you better safely. I highly recommend them.
Response: Yes, TeleRehab has been a fabulous new treatment option! Patients get visual feedback of themselves and we are able to solve movement problems right in people's homes!

Joseph Bracewell: I had shoulder replacement surgery in mid-January and started physical therapy with Allison Evron around the end of February. I have been seeing her 1-2 times a week for 14 weeks now, including two months when we had "virtual" sessions during the COVID-19 shutdown. I have been extremely happy with the progress we've made. My strength and range of motion are steadily improving, and I have been able to get back to my sports-love (rowing) both indoors and out on the water. Allison is very knowledgeable, and I would recommend her highly. The entire staff at STAR are friendly and efficient, appointments run on time, etc.
Response: Glad the transition to TeleRehab worked well for you! It is an amazing format. Allison is great at getting people back to sports. Congratulations on your return to rowing!

Douglas Lister: Kathy Braun was wonderfully perceptive and through beyond my expectations in evaluating my condition and providing initial direction.
Response: Thanks so much for sharing your experience with Kathy, it truly means a lot!

Pouneh Dadmanesh: Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation (STAR) offers and delivers great personalized physical therapy services. STAR has truly amazing staff members and excellent physical therapists. I would like to thank Katherine Braun, Jesse Fuller, Allison Evron, Lucia Lee, Natasha Harper, and Hope! In my view, STAR is the best physical therapy center in the Washington D.C. area. Kathy is truly exceptional; she is the best and most compassionate physical therapist I have ever worked with. I have been at STAR many times in the past three years. More specifically, I have been there for torn rotator cuff, chronic neck pain, sciatica, and pelvis injuries. Tissue massage, stretching, strengthening, joint mobilization/stabilization, and athletic taping have been among the treatments I have received at STAR. The physical therapy sessions have been very effective. Kathy has helped me recover from sciatic problems and strengthen the muscles and ligaments in my shoulder and improve my range of motion significantly. Kathy has also taught me proper techniques that I can use regularly at home to manage and alleviate the pain associated with my injuries, words are not enough to express my gratitude. I have also been working with Jesse on core strengthening and mobility. He has created a good and unique workout routine for me. Jesse is a very knowledgeable personal trainer; I highly recommend him.
Response: It has been a pleasure working with such a motivated person that conqueors her challenges!

Malachy OConnor: I am very impressed by the service Natasha Harper provided me. She was helpful, resourceful, and courteous while working through the resolution of a refund I was seeking. I could not have solved this without her. I appreciate her "stick to" in getting the job done. Thank you, Natasha Sincerely, Rose OConnor
Response: I agree that she is super skilled at insurance problems. We are here to help you make this rehab and recovery process easier from all sides!

Andrew Bird: STAR’s commitment to quality of care, attention to detail, and the depth of knowledge and experience from similar procedures/patients is a critical part to my great rehab from shoulder surgery. Did my homework and toured several PT offices prior to surgery back in March. Allison Evron at STAR was my top choice and I am so pleased with her contribution to my progress. What impresses me most about Allison is her keen awareness, intuition, and active participation in my rehabilitation process. She always takes time to listen to my immediate concerns and I think she grasped my long-term recovery and skiing related performance goals before even I did. She knows when to push in exercises, does not hesitate to correct poor form, and recognizes pain thresholds just from my facial expressions. This level of care alone is worth a 5-star rating, but I’d also note our seamless transition to telehealth appointments during DC “stay at home” without losing momentum was awesome. Very motivating experience. I highly recommend STAR, and particularly Allison for all physical therapy care. They have restored my faith in dedicated physical therapists. That is a monumental achievement after an awful experience elsewhere where I felt like a meat pile on a Chicken McNuggets assembly line.
Response: Andrew, Thanks for sharing your positive experience with others! Allison is awesome and I know she didn’t want you to lose your recovery momentum! She is great at TeleRehab too.

Core Physical Therapy: what do users think?

Spencer Kelley: I had a wonderful experience with Core Physical Therapy. I highly recommend receiving treatment and guidance from Caitlin Ratino. She was exceptional in the care and time she took with my hamstring injury and recovery. She is extremely knowledgeable and thoughtful in the exercises and programs to get me back playing soccer and running. If you want to heal properly and get back to your routine, reach out to Caitlin!
Response: Thank you so much for this recommendation! We really appreciate it! We are so happy that you have you have returned to soccer and running!

Chase Nussbaum: Caitlin Ratino was my PT and she is phenomenal. I had terrible back pain and she designed a rehab plan that completely healed my symptoms, as well as my maintenance plan to continue to strengthen my body and prevent future back issues. I'd recommend her to anyone and everyone!
Response: We love hearing this! We also think Caitlin is wonderful 😊. Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review. We greatly appreciate it!

Julie: A Top Notch Team!! I cannot say enough great things about CORE. I’ve been working with Hilary and Lauren for the last few months, after a serious ankle injury and surgery. They’ve been attentive every step of the way, reaching out after hours by email as well. They’re focused, dedicated and highly skilled at what they do. They’ve been able to diagnose my issues and help me work through them. Highly recommend Hilary for any athletes that need rehab but she can work wonders with any PT scenario. The front desk team is wonderful and they go above and beyond to work with my schedule. The facilities are new, clean and have the latest equipment.
Response: Thank you so much, Julie! We really appreciate the review. It's been a pleasure working with you and helping you recover!

Megan Ullrich: I had a great experience at Core Physical Therapy! The positive experience began with Henna at the front desk. She was always welcoming and cheerful. I worked with Hillary, who was amazing. I had worked with a PT at a different facility for weeks without any success. I immediately had results (resolving issues with my hips and low back) after working with Hillary. She is knowledgeable and easy to work with. I will definitely go back in the future if needed.
Response: Thank you so much, Megan! It gives us great pleasure knowing that you had a positive experience and that we were able to help you!

Louis Wolf: As an above-knee amputee since 2005, I have received the truly singular personal therapy by Kendall Black for several years before the COVID-19 pandemic. When I had significant pain in the patella bone of my good leg, Kendall went the extra mile by carefully applying her magic medical tape which gave me needed relief. Not only is she an extremely competent physical therapist, but she is also a very caring person. And she has a wonderful sense of humor. Likewise the reception staff are always extremely friendly, courteous and engaging. Finally, I find it very kind that there is water available for hydrating after my exercise routine and the Hershey kisses as a bonus medicine.

Luis Landau: I have been working with Lauren for several months. My issues are: generalized osteoarthritis, affecting mostly the right leg (torn or missing cartilege) and the left hip. Lauren has been diligent in making a good diagnosis and in designing creative ways to improve my ability to walk and my general flexibility..She has recommended focused exercises and, most important, has manipulated my joints in ways that resulted in noticeable improvement. I feel lucky to be working with her. Henna is a most competent administrator. She helps me with last-minute scheduling changes, always in a friendly and constructive manner. The physical facilities are ample and never crowded, always kept very clean. Social distancing is strictly observed. I feel safe coming here.
Response: Thank you! We really appreciate the review and we love hearing how happy you are with C.O.R.E. PT.

Jan Feldman: I have been seeing Kendall at C.O.R.E. for several years and there are not enough positive words for the care I have received. She is constantly looking for new ways to keep my therapy engaging and is infinitely patient with my question. The front desk staff is helpful and after one visit, call me by name when they see me.
Response: Thank you, Jan! We really appreciate you taking the time to write the review. We are really happy that you are happy with CORE!

Barney Silver: I have been seeing Hilary since the beginning of the pandemic for spinal stenosis and then various other issues as the result of golf, age, etc. While I was unable to avoid surgery, through Hilary's guidance, I am able to play golf again and live relatively pain free. Additionally, she has put me on the right track for a better lifestyle and physical fitness. The five (5) stars do not begin to emphasize how much I recommend Hilary and C.O.R.E. Physical Therapy.
Response: Thank you so much, Barney!! This recommendation means the world to me. It has been my pleasure working with you, getting to know you, and helping you get back to doing the things you love (golf!)! Watching you succeed is the best part of my job! 😊

jacques cikurel: I have never worked with a PT like Jeff. It's an amazing experience. Jeff has helped me with my running, and has taken me to the next level, cured a number of injuries and most important of all, trained me as an athlete. I have never stopped going to CORE. I would recommend CORE to anyone, no matter their age, physical fitness or injury. Thank you so much to all the wonderful staff at CORE.

Jessica Long: C.O.R.E. is outstanding. Everyone is professional, kind, and incredible at their job. I've worked with Kendall twice - once for abdominal weakness after having a baby and once for hip/pelvic pain during my subsequent pregnancy - and she was so knowledgable. After only one session my hip/pelvic pain resolved and did not recur the rest of the pregnancy with the exercises and stretches she taught me. I highly recommend the entire practice.

MedStar Health: Physical Therapy at Lafayette Centre: what do users think?

diaa noureldin: The PT team at Lafayette Centre is simply great. They are professional, well-organized and quite experienced with sports-related injuries. In 3-4 weeks (6-8 sessions) coupled with simple home exercises, I was already seeing an improvement. The team is also quite pleasant to work with and the facility is well-equipped and super clean. I worked mostly with Yvonne and Ryan, and they are really amazing.
Response: Thank you so much, Diaa. We appreciate your kind words and will surely share them with the team, including Yvonne and Ryan. Thank you for choosing MedStar Health!

Sara Bonner: Highly recommend! I've been seeing Brian Colella on and off for a year now and he has been tremendously helpful with my knee pain. He has put together a program of exercises that are challenging and totally tailored to my needs. And he always finds a way to transition each exercise into something I can do at home, too. He's extremely responsive and flexible with appointment times, and moreover, he's super fun to work with. I always look forward to our sessions, it's a great workout and we always have a lot of laughs as we go. Thanks for everything, Brian!
Response: Sara, we are delighted to hear that your pain has improved and that you look forward to your sessions with Brian. It's our pleasure to all we can to set you up for success in achieving your physical therapy goals. Keep up the amazing work!

Collin Church: Highly recommend the physical therapy team. I saw Gregory Lloyd after having injured my groin which prevented me from being able to workout. After 1 month of doing the recommended exercises, I made progress much quicker than I had anticipated and am already back to working out again. Great experience and Greg was very helpful and pleasant to work with.

Monica Coleman: Greg Lloyd PT, OPT, SCS is awesome! When I first started in the program, I wasn't sure anything could be done. I have serious osteoporosis in my hip and lumber spin, as well as spinal stenosis. It was very debilitating. Yet, within the first lesson, I could feel the difference. It was amazing. As I continue with the treatments and exercises, I grow stronger every day. He even helped me with a dizziness problem that I've had for a long time. Greg is extremely knowledgeable and finds solutions that help the healing process for his clients. More importantly, he is a compassionate and caring coach. He has a knack for encouraging his clients in a way that motivates us to excel in the therapy sessions. I am so grateful for his efforts. It has certainly made my life a lot better. I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for an outstanding physical therapist. Monica Coleman, JD

Release Physical Therapy Washington DC: what do users think?

Phillip E: During a trip of mine in August 2021 I came to release physical therapy from NY. The majority of my therapy was dry needling and some post needling muscle re-education. I received dry needling mainly from Bettie Kruger. Mrs Kruger is a very efficient dry needler. Ive been to quite a few places and she definitely knows what she is doing. The function and effectiveness of dry needling is heavily dependent on the skill of the clinician. There are physical therapists in the D.C. area that I've been to first hand, who although they are certified in dry needling they haven't a clue what they're doing. Similar to some people who have a barbers license and still don't know how to cut hair. Aside from her skill in anatomy and needling Bettie is energetic, she doesn't cut corners or try to cheat you out of your time. She's not lazy. You'll get about 53 to 55 minutes for the hour. She is not against patient oriented care, meaning she is open and responsive to patient input and requests. Patient centered care is an extremely useful approach that helps relieve and calm down some of the psychologically induced brain and pain connections one may be dealing with. She doesn't just dictate to you what is going to happen because she is the therapist and youre the patient. I had a few sessions with Mrs.Simon, not as many as with Bettie. I'm pretty sure id have a very similar review and experience of her. Oh yeah they have a little blue tooth speaker playing music, they'll even let you change the music, turn it down or even turn it off if you want. The bathroom was very clean, had a cool automatic light as well as faucet water. The hand soap smelled good too. The office manager Mrs Gonzalez was competent in scheduling appointments and responding to emails. Shes nice, polite, soft spoken. Their Instagram is pretty cool and visually gives you some insight on what to expect. Oh yeah they do cupping, graston and from what I saw was ultra sound guided dry needling. Bettie's pretty good at feeling for the knots but it will be cool to see it in real time, meh. Alot of places in the d.c. region will give you a bunch of silly pictures or have some motionless photos that don't leave much to interpret. When you get to those places you ask yourself "what the".... Whether you're in need of a "touch up" from acute pain or in a slightly worse case of chronic or persistent pain. I wouldn't even waste my time looking around. I would just go to release PT especially compared to any other clinics/pts in the Maryland D.C area. I have some pretty not so nice things to say about other clinics.

Ashley DeGennaro Wiley: Release Physical Therapy has been amazing for getting me back to normal after having a herniated disc. You can’t beat having a full hour of one-on-one time with the PT. Bettie is incredibly kind, attentive and thorough with her care, and I went from having horrible pain without the ability to walk longer than a couple blocks to having almost no pain in just a few weeks of therapy. She takes the time to explain every new technique and exercise, and every new appointment targets the area that needs attention the most. I’ve avoided needing injections and/or surgery because of coming here. It’s a great practice with wonderful people who really care about getting you back to your best.

Lanisha White: I have been going to Release Physical Therapy for various injuries since 2013. Cari and Danielle are amazing physical therapists who are very knowledgeable and attentive. I have been to other physical therapists and orthopedic doctors who minimized my pain and concern, but Cari and Danielle have always been attentive and invested in my recovery. Through the use of dry kneeedling, K-Laser, manual therapy, I have been able to return to an active lifestyle.

Andjela Sarenac: I don't know where to start and how to express my obsession with this place and how they brought me back to life! I had scoliosis surgery and have suffered from so much back pain and spasm to the point that I could not walk one time but they have literally put me back up!! I have been going to Release Physical Therapy for the past 3 years and first have started off at their Equinox Location and now they have opened up a new office on L street that is beyond cute and clean, they do a great job with following Covid-19 sanitizing protocols so I feel super safe too. Cari Simon who is the owner was originally the only one to work on my back and I trust her with everything she does, she literally is the queen of dry needling ( and every other technique out there)! Trusting Cari and her recommendations I have eventually tried everyone at the office - Bettie, Danielle and Stephanie and you can't go wrong with any of them! They are the only people that I would ever trust with anything on my back especially dry needling! I am now on with my maintenance ''preventive' therapies every few weeks with Bettie and that is really helpful. They are so knowledgable and the best in their field !!!
Response: Hi, Andjela. We appreciate the kind words and are glad we could provide you with a positive experience!

Ines Rosen: I have been going to Release Phisical Therapy for almost a year. When I started my lower back hurt so much! I could hardly move. Carrie has performed a miracle on me! Through therapeutic massages, exercise and stretches I feel like a different person. She also does needling which works really well! I trust them and they are very helpful too

Patrick Cullen: The Release PT team of Cari, Bettie and Danielle has helped me in so many ways with their detailed approach to past injuries. I was experiencing issues with my hands as they would go numb from time to time. After consulting with the team, Bettie found the issue and performed class A needling. It was a true game changer and now my issues have cleared up. I trust in this team so much that I recently had a running injury and knew exactly who I needed to see to get back in proper shape. Within the past 3 weeks, my symptoms have subdued and I’m feeling better and better each week. I would suggest this group to everyone as they really show extreme focus In their craft and put the patient first. A++

Barney Guacheta: I have been coming to Release for the better part of 2 years. I am a triathlete and suffered a high groin injury. While not enjoyable the needling on my groin(s) resulted in so much relief I felt like a new man. Danielle is an expert PT and I’ve enjoyed my experience thus far. I’ve continued coming to Release even after my groin was healed solely bc I believe in the recuperative properties of dry needling in general as I’ve subsequently competed in two half Ironman races since my injury. I use them now more for maintenance of tight areas as I train as a weekend warrior and 50 hr per week desk jockey. I highly recommend Danielle and her team for any and all sports related injuries and recovery.

Nikki Pisha: Release PT is fabulous! I’ve been seeing Stephanie Lam for several years. I initially went to this practice because of their use of the k laser technology l, but I found the most talented physical therapist in the city! Steph’s treatment and strengthening guidance has helped me maintain a level of strength beyond what I thought possible. She literally keeps me running. She’s methodical in her approach, and her attention to detail is unmatched. I am always amazed how she can remember exactly “what worked last time” for me when she has so many patients. I’ve seen all the therapists at Release over the years, and they are all incredible to be honest. If I can’t get in when Steph, I know I’ll get wonderful treatment from any of the other PT’s! I can’t recommend this practice enough!

Greg Porter: Release provides great service. All the therapists are highly skilled. I’ve seen Danielle for knee and back issues several times and have had great results. They use lots of different methods and techniques to formulate a treatment program that works for you.

Elyssa: I cannot recommend Release Physical Therapy enough. This practice goes above and beyond patient care. Cari literally saved me when I was in a horrible place physically with 2 severely herniated discs/sciatica and was told surgery was the best option. From the first session I felt immediate relief and I went from barely moving to complete range of motion after regular treatments and avoided surgery. Cari is extremely knowledgeable about the body and all current techniques to enhance healing. She even offered to accompany me to an mri appointment that I was terrified for. I don’t know any other practitioner that would offer up their time like that. she is dedicated to her patients and I am forever greatful. I wouldn’t be in top physical shape today if it weren’t for her amazing staff . There is no one else i trust more when it comes to muscular injuries now!

Capitol Physical Therapy: what do users think?

Katrina Zook: I couldn't recommend Capitol Physical Therapy more! Everyone from the administrative staff to my physical therapist was friendly and professional. Making and adjusting appointments was easy. I met with Valerie Rucker for six weeks and was in awe of her knowledgeable and clear guidance throughout my treatment. Beyond that she's a great listener and our time together was a delight. Finding a medical office that is brimming with such an amazing team is a rare find!

Kaliyamoorthy Arunachalam: This capital Physical Therapy clinic is absolutely astonishing! Suba is very knowledgeable and detailed when it comes to educating and helping with pain relief . She is very knowledgeable and fun, decreasing my daily pain has become easier and recommendations. Front desk staff is very welcoming and organized she makes schedules and appointments very easy to follow. The overall clinic is very clean and the covid protocols are top tier I highly recommend this clinic to anyone looking for different ways to manage pain and gain knowledge physical health. Thanks Suba 🙏

Nicolas Pena Brown: First, the office staff was incredibly warm and communicative; they were very prompt in getting back to me, and it was easy to set up and move appointments as necessary. Second, Dr. Drummond was incredibly helpful. Beyond being kind and thoughtful, she has amazing tact. I came in with lower back pain, and her attention and help has really helped. I highly recommend the practice.

Jaclyn Palmer: Subha Nagasubramanian has been amazing helping me heal from two major orthopedic surgeries. Every time I come for a session, she is able to make even the smallest adjustment that makes the biggest difference in my gait and getting my independence back. She listens to all my concerns and gives me helpful solutions. I have gone to physical therapy many times throughout my life and have never had someone as knowledgeable and precise as Subha. After a lifetime of pain, it can me hard to not get discouraged, but Subha always lends an ear and gives really beneficial encouragement and perspective. I am really grateful I chose Capitol PT for physical therapy and I highly recommend them to anyone!

Jonathan Magin: I saw Dr. Subha for help with my upper back. She was a fantastic therapist, listening to my concerns, determining what the problem was, outlining a clear plan for treatment, and explaining exactly how to perform each exercise. It didn't take long before I could see signs of improvement; with every visit, I felt better and better. After finishing treatment, I feel like myself again. 5 stars isn't high enough of a rating. I would wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Subha and Capitol Physical Therapy.

Kailash Pant: Maya Drummond is one of the great physiotherapist I met recently for my lower back pain. She is knowledgeable, experienced, honest, and kind. She restored my lower back from all pain and restricted movements in just few sittings. She taught me how to work while getting on bed, coming out of bed, and some exercises. Honestly, she is a miracle worker. I would return to her whenever I might need physical therapy. I recommend her highly.

Talla Davis: Dr. Maya Drummond is an amazing physician. She taught me many exercises that has helped with my recovery. Her persona is always professional and caring. The staff at Capitol Physical Therapy is always helpful and friendly. I recommend this facility to everyone in need of PT services.

Amina Ait-Bella: Valerie helped me get through a marathon training cycle and prevented/mitigated a recurring hip injury. She introduced new exercises in a way that made it manageable to add to my routine, and that i would actually be motivated to do the work without getting overwhelmed. there is a noticeable improvement in my form from just 4 months of work, and i can't wait to see more improvements going forward with the tools she gave me.

Kirsten S: Subbha is amazing! For the second time after a fall, I couldn't kneel without tears and had patellar instability from a partial tear that was painful/swollen to the touch. Went to see Subbha in Feb 2022 b/c not being able to kneel was upending my life, especially mat Pilates practice. Saw Subbha twice a week and by early April, I was cautiously kneeling and my knee was no longer painful to the touch. By the end of April I "graduated" and am spending five hours gardening with knee pads and no pain. Subbha is a master physical therapist and a kind/understanding practitioner.

Bill Cahill: Wonderful, positive, supportive team that really listens and helped me meet my goals. Valerie is fantastic and did an excellent job diagnosing the root causes of my pain and helping me get better. Absolutely recommended!

Rose Physical Therapy Group: what do users think?

Kate Jaffee: Janvi is amazing! I had a baby 3 months ago and I have been seeing her for pelvic floor physical therapy. She has helped guide me through exercises to help me regain strength and confidence, while reducing lingering pain. She's great at helping set goals and most importantly, she's fun to be around! Absolutely recommend Rose's.
Response: Thanks, Kate!

Alex Lintz: Thomas was really great! I've been to physiotherapists before and had mixed results over long periods. After going to Thomas and doing the exercises he recommended for a few weeks I'm ~90% back to normal! Highly recommended

Aysha Suzuki: I went to Rose PT as I had a lot of TMJ problems and I was looking to try dry needling as a possible solution. Claire is such an expert and it was extremely enlightening all that I learnt about the jaw and how it moves. She gave me really helpful exercises to do at home and she is able to dry needle very complex areas in the jaw that provided tremendous relief. It was really life-changing, I live in London but I plan to visit every time I am in DC!

Joe Shields: Thomas Rados was amazing! I had a bike accident resulting in a severe AC joint separation. I decided to go without surgery and Thomas did an amazing job to help get me back swimming again in 6 weeks. He was thoughtful about the sessions, willing to push me to recover faster, and gave a lot of good instruction to keep up PT out the office. 5 out of 5 would 100% recommend!
Response: Really appreciate it, Joe! Glad you are on the mend.

Heewon Kim: I had five sessions with Thomas for a tweaky shoulder, with pain during everyday activities like reaching up and driving. Within a couple of sessions Thomas was able to resolve the everyday pain. After the fifth session I'm pretty much back to normal, with full range of motion without pain. He focused a lot on massage that loosened up the muscles to help with pain, and gave me at-home exercises that were easy to do at the gym. The best thing about this practice is that you get a therapist who focuses on you for the entire hour, unlike some other practices where the therapist is bouncing around between three or four patients the entire time. The facilities are nicely updated and clean as well.

Elena Primes: Rose PT is great, I can't say enough good things! Claire is an expert therapist with extensive knowledge in TMJ problems.

Lucy Hoagland: My experience with Rose Physical Therapy Group was great. It was easy to get in for an appointment right away and I appreciated that they booked out several sessions for me so that I had a consistent day and time for therapy. Thomas was an excellent physical therapist to work with. The exercises he provided were really tailored to my injury and strengthening goals. He also held me accountable for doing my at-home exercises which is what I needed!

James Perea: I can't say enough good things about Rose PT. I started coming here in February 2020 following a meniscus surgery. I dropped off during the pandemic and returned in December after a running injury. Working with Thomas, I've had six weeks of massage, dry needling, and strengthening. I am now stronger than before and starting to run again. More importantly, Thomas has been encouraging from the start. I have been excited for each visit and always left feeling encouraged by the progress. I would recommend Rose PT and Thomas to anyone seeking rehabilitation or even just seeking improvement on problem areas.

David Kanstoroom: Claire Bowe is amazing!! I came to her suffering from years of lower back pain. She arranged a program for me that included dry needling, stretches and strengthing that was adjusted weekly, and within 10 weeks I was pain free. Highly reccomend Rose PT!

Andrew Rygiel: Rose Physical Therapy Group is an amazing place. To start, the administrative staff was friendly and quick to respond. The facility was very clean and has implemented many COVID-19 procedures to make you feel safe. I would highly recommend Thomas Rados as your physical therapist. He helped me overcome muscle issues with my hands. Not only was he able to help during our sessions with stretches, exercises, massages, and dry needling but also provided clear instructions for at home exercises. Thomas was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable.

Total Health Physical Therapy: what do users think?

Buki P: I came to Total Health Physical Therapy feeling broken physically and emotionally drained. I had met with many specialists with few results and mounting questions. My symptoms were worsening and I felt hopeless. Through Integrated Physical Therapy, Lisa felt my body’s trauma and helped me understand the reason behind my symptoms. Unlike the 8 Specialist I had seen previously, Lisa did not simply push mediations to me but listened and took time to understand all the signs my body was giving. Lisa has helped me recover from a torn ACL without needing surgery and helped me discover that I had seasonal allergies by feeling my diaphragm’s spasms. Each time I leave Lisa and Kate feeling healthy and hopeful for continued wellness. Lisa and Kate have used their gifted hands and decades of experience to heal my body and coach me on how to maintain my well state. I trust them more that I do my General Practitioner because they have given me more answers and I have always left feeling better. I would 100% recommend going to see them for unanswered health issues that are impacting your physical well-being. They will be honest and let you know whether or not they can help you.
Response: Thank you Buki! It's been our pleasure to be part of your healing journey. We're so glad you are doing so well. Thank you so much for the great review. Lisa

Elissa Carney: I tried every modality to address my health issues and this method (integrative manual therapy) was the only thing that worked in both correctly diagnosing me as well as treatment. The practitioners are all excellent. I highly recommend.

Jeri VanReenan: They have changed my life. I feel better after every visit.

Spinal Balance Physical Therapy: what do users think?

Zainab Mirza: I cannot recommend Spinal Balance enough. I originally chose them based on location (an easy commute for me) but now, if I ever require PT again in my life I will make sure I come here. Vincent is incredibly personable, caring, and simply put - excellent at his job. I came to him for a herniated disc and now after 6 weeks, I am feeling excellent and confident in my abilities to walk and exercise again. He provided at-home exercises as well that complimented my appointments. Please please please do yourself a favor and see Vincent!
Response: Thank you so much for this kind review, Zainab! So glad to hear you're feeling excellent after 6 weeks of PT. 5-star patient!

Kevin McMillen: I came to Spinal Balance with sciatic nerve pain and Vincent helped me get back to being pain-free. I chose Spinal Balance because it was on a short list of recommended places in DC that my doctor provided me. I was able to get an appointment without much trouble. The results were better than I was expecting. Between the care I received at my appointments, and the advice he gave (some of which wasn't intuitive to me), I definitely saw the results. He said at the first appointment that if I followed his advice, I'd get better, and I did, so I can't argue with that. I hope I won't need more physical therapy in the future, but if I do, I will definitely go back to him.

Hannah Kyle: Vincent Romviel (Google has his named spelled wrong) is the best physical therapist I've ever had. He can absolutely help you, and if he can't, he'll be honest enough to tell you. I came to him with a shoulder 5 years post surgery that had very limited range of motion and strength, and he's been honest about the prognosis since my first appointment. He cares about your issue and how it impacts your life, and he is very realistic about treatment (and how to avoid the bad kind of pain!). He is located in a very central place (which is what first got me in the door) and is incredibly flexible about scheduling. He has been very helpful with my insurance so that they will cover my appointments. I have improved so much with him, and I have never once walked away from an appointment thinking that I injured myself (as can happen with overzealous physical therapists). Vincent Romviel respects your limits, explains what he's doing, and balances knowledge of general wellness with technical physical therapy so that you actually do get better. Also, word around town is that he has the best heat (for your injuries) in the business!

Sian Imber: I experienced superb care. Vincent Romviel is the best Physical Therapist that I have encountered. Knowledgeable, compassionate and kind he has patiently guided me through therapy for an damaged and painful knee. He takes time to educate his patients about their injuries, and his expertise helps them to return to their regular lives pain free. He deserves 10 stars!

stroblas laurie: I am lucky enough to have found the same PT person I had many years ago for a neck problem. Now, summer/fall 2016, V Romviel treating me for broken shoulder rehab. He is the consummate professional. He really knows what he's doing. The staff is friendly enough, he's quite prompt, and he has a good sense of humor behind a façade of professional restraint. I have utmost confidence in him and am making rapid improvement. I would recommend him without reservation for all types of orthopaedic rehab even tho it's called Spinal Balance. If he can't do it, he'll be honest enough to tell you. As far as I'm concerned, he's the only PT specialist I want to be treated by. ##

Eva Adler: Go here if you're struggling with sciatica pain or recovering from a herniated disc. YOU WON'T REGRET IT. Vincent Romvile is by far the best PT I've seen for this specific issue in DC. I came to him in 2015 after the MRI came back with a L5/S1 herniated disc and left his office 3 months with ZERO sciatica pain and strong enough to engage in strenuous sports again including rock climbing, hiking, and running. However, after moving a sofa in the summer of 2017, my sciatica came back and another PT (closer to my office location) messed up my back even more (boo!) and didn't even think twice about my symptoms. I came back to Vincet Romvile at Spinal Balance months after the incident and felt dumb to have considered going anywhere else. I will NEVER make that mistake again. He's my go to PT and recommend him to my closest friends and family. LUMBAR HERNIATED DISC TREATMENT PLAN Note, recovery time varies but here is a sample of my recovery timeframe to give you a better idea of what to expect. First, he sets up a private consultation to identify main pain points then treatment begins. Each session for me included 30 minutes of electrotherapy and an amazingly relaxing electronic back massage then followed by 30 minutes of tailored PT exercises. I started coming in 3x/week the first two weeks then went down to 2x/week after a month and then 1x/week after two months. By the third month, I was sciatica pain free and able to engage in more strenuous sports.

Philip Walgreen: He is brilliant! I move so much better with his help.

Therapydia DC Physical Therapy: what do users think?

Gary Ng: Love my experience at Therapydia! Dr. Josh Ripp is thoughtful, personable, and wonderful to work with. I really appreciate the undivided attention I got from our one-on-one sessions, which is a welcome change from my experience at other clinics where a therapist might be juggling 2-3 patients at once. The office staff is also friendly and welcoming!

Christian Mai: Amazing treatment and highly motivated team! I had to go there after surgery on a broken ankle and they got me back to walking and into the normal routine with my foot. Super with changing appointments if you really had to and available all the time. Highly recommend for physical therapy in DC!

roman toepler: Great familial facility and patient care-- Had a bad case of bursitis that wouldn't go away but Josh at Therapydia explained the rehab very well and was able to help me so that I can play sports again.
Response: Hi Roman, thank you for sharing your experience with us at Therapydia DC. We're glad to hear that you felt supported during your sessions!

Lauren Fraser: Dr. Pittman is so knowledgable and really takes the time to explain things. She cares so much for her patients and I feel really grateful that she's my physical therapist! She is also so personable and has a wonderful bedside manner and always makes me feel right at home.

Ray Ban: I’ve had two major back fusion surgeries, the first was in 2015, and after that one I went to another physical therapy place. Which was okay but I really didn’t feel much benefit from it, and ly was essentially the same exercises over and over. My second surgery was this past July, and I chose Therapydia, partly due to their proximity to work, and also I wanted to try somewhere different. I’ve only been coming to Therapydia since October, but I’m already feeling more benefits than I did back in 2015, the exercises actually seem like they’re targeting the areas which need work. My therapist is knowledgeable, friendly and experienced. The staff are all excellent, and have been extremely flexible with scheduling my appointments. Amazingly, I actually look forward to PT as opposed to dreading it, which was the case a few years ago. I’d highly recommend Therapydia to anyone who needs physical therapy.

Naidia Douglas: Therapydia was amazing! I had pains in me knee and within a matter of weeks Dr Rogacki helped me heal. He asked questions and stayed engaged with my situation. He also tried different techniques to resolve pains including dry needling, exercises etc. I was very impressed when I found myself being able to work out pain free. I would definitely recommend them!

Brittany Peterson: Im a very active person, and Therapydia is my trusted source for getting healthy again and back to activity as soon as it’s safe. From a ski-induced knee injury to a shoulder injury from a bike crash, they’ve got me covered. Joanne and her team are incredibly professional, talented and care deeply about their patients. This is the only place I’ll go.

Sheila McMahon: Therapydia DC is the best! I am amazed by the friendliness and competence of the entire staff. I have been treated by Dr. Marylyn Presutti and she teaches me something new and helpful each time I visit. It is a relief to experience such high-quality, evidence-based treatment for my plantar fasciitis. The office is also extremely clean and everyone follows COVID safety protocols. Thank you, Therapydia, for being a bright spot in a challenging year!

Dean S.: The Therapydia team took care of me quickly. They make sure everyone's following CDC guidelines for safety and cleanliness. JoAnne is a miracle worker with my hip and the dry needle work made all the difference in the world. I am back to a 100% in a short time and back to doing what I used to do. Thanks again for making it easy to get back to being me again. You are my front line first responders.

Josh Christianson: Strong organization coordination and customer service. Felt confident in therapist and could feel the sessions benefitting my injury. Highly recommend!

Pivot PT - Washington, DC (Foxhall Square): what do users think?

Erik Fonseca: I highly recommend Ian Cahil - PT. He was a pleasure to work with during the entire treatment. 1. Ian is very empathic and patient: he is very personable, listens and observes your body language attentively. He understands and respects the patient’s limitations, while at the same time recommends alternative exercises and different approaches to the treatment. 2. Ian is very knowledgeable: he immediately assessed my situation, provided me with a diagnostic, and set up a successful realistic treatment plan. I noticed some improvement and pain alleviation right after the very first session. 3. Ian was very flexible and attentive – he was able to accommodate my busy schedule and set up a routine treatment that was beneficial to both of us. He is extremely professional and was ALWAYS on time. 4. Ian has a fantastic attitude. He is very positive, listens, motivates, and is always ready to improvise when the situation calls for it. He constantly observed my performance, corrected my posture, and changed my exercises – I was never bored.

Betsy Cavendish: When having a persistent back spasm it was frustrating that many locations could not get me a first appointment for weeks. Not Foxhall Pivot and thanks to Julie i am on the mend. She's knowledgeable and i am on the mend! Back ti biking!
Response: Betsy, thanks for the great feedback for our Foxhall clinic! We're so glad to hear that you're back to biking.

Alexandra Blakelock: I worked with Micah and his student Victoria and can't speak highly enough about them. I started with intense back pain, sometimes leaving me unable to move, and after only a month I'm now completely pain free. They were kind, professional, knowledgeable, and made the work fun. I'm immensely grateful and would recommend Pivot, Micah, and Victoria to anyone seeking physical therapy.
Response: Alexandra, thank you so much for sharing your review and recommendation! We're very happy to hear that you achieved great results with Micah and Victoria and that you're now pain free.

Andrew EK: The best PT I've seen in DC (out of 3 others). Came here for a few months back in 2019 and was amazed by what they were able to do. Have been to other Pivots but none have been as good as this one. The place is also extremely clean, have had them do dry needling and that's not something I'd trust everyone to do (at my PT's recommendation), and they have good equipment/exercises on offer
Response: Andrew, we're so happy to hear that our Foxhall team has been your best PT experience and that you achieved a great outcome. Thanks for taking the time to post your feedback and review!

Matthew Boulton: While only here a short while, I thoroughly enjoyed my time here. My physical therapist, Josh, was a pleasure to work with and my course of recovery was productive and direct. Julie and Tim, despite not being my physical therapists, took the time to get to know me and instilled a friendly environment about the office. Dorothea and Tierra were more than helpful with scheduling to work around my busy schedule. Thanks all!
Response: Matthew, thank you very much for the wonderful review and feedback for our Foxhall team! We're so happy to hear that you had a thoroughly enjoyable experience at Pivot.

Zaidun Jawdat: Highly recommended for a professional and focused experience. I needed help regaining strength in my legs, which were weakened by the effects of sciatica, which in turn caused back pain. Tim zoomed in on the area and worked with me on a series of well-considered remedial exercises. Calm, pleasant, no nonsense, and with truly helpful results.
Response: Thank you for the high recommendation and positive feedback! We're so glad to hear that you achieved great results with Tim.

Linda Lucatorto: Jenna was recommended to me by my brother and sister-in-law as a miracle worker. They were right! She is an excellent diagnostician, can and does use a full range of treatments, and she is interactive in a way that makes me want to keep working. I am heading back to my workouts at the gym, thanks to her.
Response: Linda, we are thrilled to hear that you have achieved great success with Jenna and are heading back to the gym. Thanks for taking the time to share!

Deborah Mesce: The Foxhall Square location is great! It’s small, and you get personal attention from an experienced therapist, not just a handoff to an intern as happens in so many PT clinics. Rachel Bracken heads the Foxhall location, and she’s the best PT I’ve ever worked with (and there have been many).
Response: Thanks for the great feedback and review! We are so glad to hear that you enjoyed your experience with our Foxhall Square team.

n a: Pivot is a small, calm and very professional environment, a nice change from hectic ones I've been to in the past. Rachel is very hands-on and able to pinpoint problem areas and treat them efficiently. I highly recommend Pivot.
Response: Thank you for the positive feedback and high recommendation! We are happy to hear that you had a great experience at Pivot.

Sylvia Margolin: Tim demonstrated exercises to decease shoulder tightness and increase shoulder strength. These helped enormously. Tim was friendly and professional and very helpful.
Response: Sylvia, thank you for the five star rating and positive feedback!

Alliance Physical Therapy: what do users think?

Nathaly: Avisha was amazing in guiding and helping my recovery after a torn ACL. She's very professional and knowledgeable and I cannot attribute my progress without her assistance. The rest of the staff were also very friendly and courteous.

Ramona Crippen: I saw Avisha at Alliance Physical Therapy for six months after a fall that resulted in a bad tibia plateau fracture, and I was extremely pleased with their service and expertise. The front desk staff were easy to work with for insurance billing and appointment scheduling. The office is conveniently located in NW DC. The therapists and technicians made a very difficult time for me much more enjoyable. I was confident in their abilities and trusted their treatment. They did their best to make me comfortable while challenging me three days a week to improve. When I started with them, I was unable to walk and in a wheelchair; as I complete my therapy with them, I am walking again. I'd highly recommend them!

Deb F: Very happy with my experience at Alliance PT and I would definitely recommend them. I worked with Bianca, Autumn, Avisha & Andrew who all helped get rid of my pain! They all knew what they were doing! Everyone was professional, nice and friendly, including all the assistants and office staff. They are obviously all happy to work there which is always a good sign.

Kathy Kretman: Bianca is the best physical therapist that I've had, and I have been to many over the years. She is smarter than the podiatrists and orthopedists that I've had. She has worked with me on balance, core strengthening and most recently, a variety of feet problems. Her assessment of my issues is spot on. She takes great care to ensure the treatments work. And, they do. I am also impressed by the professionalism and warmth of all the staff, from the receptionists to the therapists and assistants. Simply put, I wish I could give Bianca ten stars -- she deserves it.

Todd Johnson: I've been working with Avisha who's been outstanding. She's very professional, knowledgeable, and has helped my issue with left foot drop etc. improve some already. I would also like to note that Roxana who works at the reception desk has also been great. If you're in need of PT Alliance is the place! Greg Johnson

Matthew LaBorde: I've been working with Alliance Physical Therapy for about 2 months now. They were flexible with scheduling. I was able to get a weekly appointment at 7am, which was perfect for work conflicts. The staff are kind, knowledgeable, and good humored. I worked closely with Autumn, who was the DPT who originally assessed me, and I found that she is one of the friendliest healthcare professionals I've encountered. I also truly enjoyed my time with Bianca, Avisha, Andrew, and Gino. Gino is really good at making you feel comfortable while doing the exercises, and he is curious about your life and will remember your conversation from week to week (another rare occurrence among healthcare professionals) Each person I named adds awesome knowledge and strength to the team at Alliance, I always feel well taken care of and really enjoy catching up with the team. Overall, I always left Alliance with a smile on my face and feeling stronger week to week with my sprained AC joint. Thank you, Alliance!

Susan Walker: From the front desk welcome to the therapists who worked as a team to help me meet my goal of pain free movement, I have only positive things to say about the Alliance staff at the Washington Circle office. I am inspired by their commitment to quality care and personable service to all patients. I highly recommend this PT practice.

George Lewis: Bianca and team worked with me for many months to rehabilitate my shoulder after a broken collar bone injury. The team was excellent and provided many tools and exercises to help me return my shoulder to a normal level of activity. I really appreciate their patience and perseverance.

Sean Brosnan: If you are ever in need of physical therapy, I would strongly urge you to consider going to Alliance Physical Therapy at Washington Circle. I attended this location for over a year and a half due to a severe accident that required a lengthy and painful healing process. The staff were upfront and honest with me from the first days and incredibly knowledgeable and friendly throughout the healing process. The therapists and aides are all caring, attentive, and, in my opinion, quite funny (though I wouldn't recommend encouraging Andrew or Marc). Though I was happy to have been rehabilitated, I can honestly say that I was more than a little disappointed that I wasn't going to be able to see the wonderful staff at Alliance anymore. If you should need Physical Therapy for whatever reason, I cannot recommend Alliance Physical Therapy enough.

Jameson: The whole team at Alliance PT is very friendly and that helps make rehabbing a thing to look forward to during the week. My personal experience is mostly with Bianca Bass, who has done a tremendous job helping me work on two sports injuries that remained unsolved by a handful of other people I had seen during college. Bianca's determination and knowledge is truly impressive, and I couldn't imagine seeing anyone else for a sports injury.
