Radici: what do users think?

Michael Condor: Spent a Saturday at Eastern Market and was in search of a good cold brew. Came across Radici and looked like a good spot—the worst coffee I’ve ever had. One sip and tossed it out. Tasted like what I would think burnt Folgers would be. The staff wasn’t exactly very friendly either. Should have taken that as a sign to walk out the door. Maybe their other products are good but if you want an iced coffee, I HIGHLY recommend you go elsewhere.

Charlotte Meindersma (Charlotte's Law): Everything is perfect here! Very nice Italian owner, fresh food, good coffee (I had a cappuccino with perfect foam), great iced tea, super nice location, large terrace. What’s not to love?

Karina Kisselite: Italian shop/ cafe. Quite busy and chaotic on Saturday morning. Good bakery, terrible lattes (don’t think it was even a latte). Nice selection of lunch food - pastas, salads. Max 20 min to sit inside, not a lot of space. Might be nicer outside when the weather permits.

A O: All the food and drinks at this place taste wonderful and you can tell they prioritize customer service. The gentleman who runs it is Italian and just a gem. Two critiques: The pasta is slightly overpriced and…lastly but most importantly…please, please, please stop using the godforsaken paper straws. They don’t work. They immediately turn into mush. I’ll change this review to five stars if and when you convert to working straws.

Kali Smith: Popular place on Saturday morning when the farmers market is open outside. Good prices, good coffee, and wide selection of ready made sandwiches. Alternative milk is 75¢ and they have oat, almond, soy, and coconut. I had the mocha and the breakfast sandwich with capicola; the sandwich was ok, the coffee was good. All the employees were nice, outdoor and indoor seating available. Also sold vegan and vegetarian pasta meals, wines, and dry pasta.

Emma Rose Wooten: Quick+casual Italian lunch spot by the Eastern market. There’s a wide selection of desserts, coffee, food (which is pre-packaged, but they warm it up for you), and basic Italian groceries. My beef+vegetable soup was nice, but the ciabatta was just okay. I wouldn’t say anything we got was exceptional. It was also super crowded when we went so not the coziest, but it feels very local and definitely one of the best options for regrouping after walking around the neighborhood!

Brittany Janeice: My go to café in Eastern Market. Delicious apple strudel, and decent cappuccino. 4 stars because the only free milk is dairy, and I was charged $1 extra for oat milk, totaling an already expensive $4 cappuccino to now $5. Also, if you buy a bottle of wine, they charge you $5 to open it.

Gerald Guillory: Everytime I stop by "Eastern Market" [plug] I enjoy stopping into Radici for real Italian Coffee and one of the best oatmeal cookies i have had in a while. The staff and owner are a joy. Additionally, the selection of Italian wines is excellent for such a small shop. So, if you are ever in DC stop by and be transported to Italty without needing a passport.

William Rich: Great coffee, baked goods and Italian products. Very pleasant outdoor seating area with many signs kindly warning noncustomers to sit elsewhere

Ibrahim Hammouda: Italy in one place in DC. Radici brings you Italy in the café. First, let’s talk about the design and ambience. The design is basic and very clean as well as the restroom. The tables are very clean and have two designs. My favourite spots are, the big wooden table inside, where you can sit and enjoy your drinks or snacks and strike a good conversation with anyone, if possible. and any table in the outdoors area, where you can enjoy the garden and the different views since the café is on a corner. The light is mixed between daylight and warm romantic yellow candle-like light. During the sunset the sunrays get into the place and makes a beautiful romantic scene. Since it’s an Italian café, I should start by the coffee. One of the best espresso in DC. They use Illy Coffee from Italy. They know how to make genuine delicious Italian coffee, including Latte, Mocha, and many others. The pastry section has many options; my favourites are the orange cake, muffins, and ALL Italian pastries. The place has many sections, for instance, Italian wines (they bring them from Italy just for them), pasta (they make their own pasta from scratch), essentials for preparing Italian food, and Italian soft drinks like Sanpellegrino, which is my favourite, since hardly can you find it in D.C. The cafe is very close to Eastern Market Metro station and Eastern Market itself is on the opposite corner of the cafe. The owner of this place is an extremely nice gentleman from Italy and he works there himself, hence this place is always in an exquisite quality and well maintained. They need to put the place on Instagram and put more pictures on social media generally. Therefore, they can get even more customers. BTW, this place has hosted Michelle Obama once. Enjoy!

Salumeria NoMa: what do users think?

Peggy Ament: A colleague recommended Salumeria when I inquired if he had local sandwich shop recs. I knew he, an apt foodie, would know where to go. … I purchased my first sandwich today, and honestly don’t want the world to know so I can keep it to myself. But the tiny establishment deserves the word to be spread. Squeezed between a pizzeria and a coffee shop on N Street NE, the gentleman made and sold me a sandwich better than any I have had in the DC Metropolitan area. I’ve lived here and have been searching for this sammich for over 40 years. OMG. Salumeria, please don’t discount your quality or price me out! ❤️

Cas Marburger: Listen, I ate a sandwich from here about three hours ago and I’m already back to reading the menu to figure out what I want next time. It’s spectacular.

Lucas Keene: Glad they were able to add on a market similar to the 12th Street location. A little larger and spacious. Nice selection of bottled Italian beers not found elsewhere in the area.

Shantel Phillips: Been eating at this place on and off due to convenience over 6 years. As of recently since Shakita stopped working there, the service towards myself as an Black woman had not been the same. EVERY SINGLE TIME I purchase food Im left to find something to eat it with as for some reason it’s not given. I get a salad from menomale and have to ask for a fork and dressing. The food is decent at times but the service has declined.

Michael Hazeltine: They have some delicious sandwiches. The ingredients are quality. And their bread has a nice robust flavor and softness. The crudo dandwich might be my favorite and while a simple few ingredients, they take care to get the quality right. Also, they make their own Gelato with a rotation of flavors!

GIULIX 1990: I never had a problem the guys are always nice the snacks are very good

Rebecca Wolf: Two great vegan gelato flavors: caramel and coffee!!

Crema Guru: A beautiful gourmet Italian market with fresh made cheeses, pasta, take home meals, and fresh baked bread. Also an amazing selection of the finest Italian groceries to cook at home.

Anthony Panichelli: The only place I could find Mozz di Bufala anywhere around here. Also carry the best brand of anchovies, Agostino Recca. Good prices and owner Ettore is a great source of knowledge. Some of their best stuff is hiding, so if you can’t find something you think they may have, be sure to ask. Will continue going here for speciality pizza items, especially those that are perishable.

Tony Cohn: Best bread I’ve had in DC. I dream about the sandwiches I have from this place for lunch. Can’t recommend enough!

martina fornace: After supporting this place and Menomale for years, I will not be coming back. They don’t even bother to post their correct business hours, I’ve come now 3 times during their opening hours and they are closed. That’s having zero respect for your clients.

The Italian Store at Westover: what do users think?

Tatiana Russell: This has been an Arlington staple for years, and for a good reason! Excellent selection of gourmet food and wine, as well as prepared foods in the refrigerator. Good coffee and amazing deserts. I am a fan of their thin crust pizzas - one slice will definitely fill you up. Some parking and outdoor seating are super convenient.

John Mattingly: Truly wonderful place! My Italian wife was in heaven. They have everything from prepared foods (pizza, subs, coffee, desserts) to a full range of Italian groceries and a nice wine area. Outdoor seating a plus as well. So shop there, dine there, or both!

Manda B: The sandwich did not feel greasy at all. It was so refreshing actually. Definitely a revisit store! And they have outside seating!

Hannah Wiegard: Tastier $10 imported wines than you find at chain stores. Discount when you get 6. Incredible deli sandwiches (get the Capri) and our kid (age 2) has just fallen in love with the cheese pizza, whole and by the slice. Leave extra time for whole pizzas they get busy. By the slice is always good. We’ve had their party trays of cut sandwiches too which is genius for birthdays. Get a combo, pizzas too. Feed everyone!

Bethany Robinson: First time here and I was super impressed! I have driven past so many times wanting to stop before but never had the time. I’ll be back for sure and will be bringing my family to check it out. Chatted with the one of the owners and managers and they were very nice. They took some time to tell me a bit about their history and even gave me a cannoli as a welcome gift! Thank you for a wonderful first experience!

Timothy Lennon: This place is so good. My family is mostly Italian with my grandfather being the monarch of the family. We took him here for sandwiches, coffee and dessert. Did not disappoint at all. It was so good. Cannot say enough about it

Julie B.: This is a great place to get good quick Italian meal ready to eat. Their pizza is fantastic note if you want a lasgnas you need to order the day before. They have a great wine selection.

Dawn B: I had a slice of pizza with fresh tomatoes, black olives, onion and pepperoni. It was delicious. Best pizza I’ve ever eaten. I had a wonderful glass of red wine and we bought a couple bags of sweets-a sugar cookie that looks like a wagon wheel. This was my first time here. We just moved to Virginia and we will be coming back soon!

A. Litteri: what do users think?

J Z: This review is only for the deli sandwiches. Got the 12” Italian classic at a pretty good price. It tasted good and the ingredients were fresh. Not that much difference or special from lots of other good sandwich places though. I would go again when I’m in the area, but not worth a special trip.

Michael Brown: My first time in A. Litteri I didn’t recall any music playing, but I was definitely humming Che La Luna while trying to find a good bottle of Vermentino - if there was ever a place to find one, the ceiling-high racks of imported Italian, Spanish and Portuguese wines in A. Litteri is where it will be, at least on this side of the Atlantic. To the back of the store, past the walls of imported pasta, olive oils, spices, and sauces are three large deli coolers with olives and cheeses on one side and meats on the other. There are menus and pencils for people to mark their choice of sandwich, choose toppings, etc. Being right next to Gualladet University, you can also mark if you’re deaf so they will bring you your sandwich instead of calling your name. We ordered chicken Parmesan and classic Italian sandwiches on soft rolls. The chicken parm was pressed into a panini and had just the right amount of sauce and melted cheese. The classic Italian was a paean dedicated to the perfect combination of capicola, Genoa salami, mortadella, prosciuttini, lettuce, tomato, onion, hot peppers and olive oil dressing. We ordered some cannolis, of course, and walked them back to my place to have a socially distanced lunch - with Louis Prima playing on the Alexa. My only regret was not ordering more. The Italian embassy may be somewhere else in DC, but Italy’s best ambassador is a little store called A. Litteri. (Out of five) Food: 5; Ambiance: 4.5; Value: 5; Service: 3 (the person at the counter in the back had some serious difficulty grating pecorino despite being asked five times).

Larry “Big Schlim” Mcleod: I stumbled on this spot after searching for another spot. Once I took a look at their menu & prices…immediately I thought, BIG SCHLIM LITE POCKET MEALS!! This place is a storefront has a full service Deli, & has been said to be Italy in one tiny store. . Where I am: @a.litteri . Location Reviewed: 517 Morse St., N.E. Washington D.C. . Henggao Cai: I highly recommend this place and definitely order online. A lot of the stuff here is imported from Italy.

Mel Jones: Unfortunately nothing seems the same regarding brick and mortar business these days. However, this place is still a pretty cool spot, a hidden secret when it comes to an authentic Italian deli. Authentic anything is hard to find in DC. Fresh meats, great subs, a variety of Italian delicacies and wines, a real throw back to days gone by.

Fernanda Lanzagorta: Big Italian market with wine, Italian products, homemade pasta dishes and tasteful Italian subs. Their selection of ingredients is fresh and diverse. Definitely a must if you are in the area.

Jorge Zurita-Coronado: Great selection of wine and even better sandwiches. Go here for lunch often and it always hits the spot. One of my favorite items is the meatball sub. Sauce is great and bread is perfectly toasted. Definitely a must try.

bob millett: When I worked in DC - A Litteri was part of the office lunch rotation. From hot pasta and lasagna dishes in the colder months or delicious sandwiches year round. 5 stars is not enough for A Alitteri

A.J. Carlson: Fantastic gelato, especially the sorbet. Had a mind-opening, out-of-body experience with the passion fruit sorbet. Highly recommend.
Response: Thank you for the visit and the feedback. We are preparing new amazing flavors. Please stop by again. Dolci Gelati

Heidi Liou: The lady working was so kind and let me sample a lot of flavors! I ended up going with one scoop fig marscapone and another scoop of birthday cake. Loved the vibe of the store even, but you have to get lucky to snag the indoor seating (fits 2 people). They did bring out outdoor seating as well (two tables, two chairs for each table).
Response: Please visit us again. Now that we can accommodate more customers inside, we added more tables and chairs. 🙏🏻

Saint Eloise: I have been here before. Today I got the blueberry mint, almond coconut, and strawberry something. It was great per usual.
Response: So glad you think so! Thank you for taking the time to review 😃

Adesh Saxena: Great locally crafted Gelato to Die for. Not to be missed if you are in the area. Croissants are baked fresh. Now they also sell dry pasta, olive oils and balsamic 00 pizza flour Imported from Italy..
Response: Thank you.🙏🏻

Christina Redden: The dark chocolate was hella dark and delicious! I also had the honey/marscapone/fig and it was unique and amazingly good too! The staff was happy, helpful, and patient as we made the incredibly difficult choice between flavors. They also had these adorable mini-cones and frozen dog treats!!!
Response: Thank you 🙏🏻

Raymond Jordan: We visited Dolci Gelati at DC Zoo in early April. The ice cream topped funnel cakes were a must have for us adults as the zoo was closing. The baby girl wanted the Italian Ice. Great way to end our day trip ! Thank You
Response: Thank you for the feedback. We appreciate it very much. Please come back to visit us in the near future. Dolci Gelati Team.

Yer Yang: Great flavors and variety. The espresso was potent, which I loved! The chocolate was rich and creamy. The white chocolate raspberry was delicious too. We got the macaroons and the lemon was not fresh. Unlike the other two, it was very chewy and tough. For that reason, I rate this place a 4-star.
Response: 🙏🏻

Victoria Goncalves: Best pizza slice north of U st. Their slices are perfectly crunchy and only a couple of bucks. Best lunch in the neighborhood.

Rob Walden: Ordered an Italian sub and it was the bomb. Huge sub, and reasonably priced too. The sub and a slice of pizza was just $9.50 total.

Lani: First time visiting and I got a sub... but I didn’t know it didn’t come eith lettuce, tomato etc on it until I left. Toppings are an extra charge. It’s just meat and bread for $6.50 + tax. Also it’s cheaper on postmates vs in store and that’s weird. I gave it two stars bc the focaccia bread was tasty. Just wish the sandwich wasn’t so dry.

Martha Wilson: This is where yo find my favorite, individually-sliced pizza in DC, hands-down. I’ve been going here for 20 years. The frozen Italian pasta and lasagna is crazy good, too. (It’s basically a small Italian grocery store.) When friends come in from out of town I swing by Vace and buy one of the frozen lasagnas to have on hand, just in case. The quality is consistently good. You will not be disappointed. Yay, Vace!

V. Michael Romanov: My family discovered Vace in 1994 ( when we moved to Cleveland Park). Right away we fell in love with it. The onion pizza is truly the best in DC! We moved to Boston 15 years ago. Every time we visit DC area we visit Vace . What is truly amazing - everything tastes exactly the same! On our recent trip ( that was just a few weeks ago) we followed the tradition. We also bought 4 frozen lasagnas and brought it with us to Boston. My wife cooked it tonight - we had an amazing meal that brougt some many wonderful memories . Until next time, dear Vace!

Héctor Arduz: Between medical appointments I took my wife to have breakfast. My wife ordered eggs Benedict w/avocado. The avocado wasn’t ripe. In fact it was hard and tough. Inedible. Sorry to report this. I do love the pastries, but will never again order something more complex, like Eggs Benedict chez Paul, Again… pity. Feeling disappointed

J Acharya: I got 3 pastries and a coffee. Everything was fresh and delicious. Can’t wait to go back and try their sandwiches and salads.

Celine Aka-Koffi: The mille-feuilles (napoleon) is fresh and tasty. We enjoyed chamomile and mint tea on a cold spring afternoon. Service was excellent.

Alok Sinha: Want to give a shout out to this place. I came in a few minutes before they were about to close and the staff were so helpful in getting me some last second pastries. I ordered a cheese danish and a few other pastries. They were all delicious. The prices were fair. Would recommend stopping by here for a pleasant dessert.

Nitzan Ainemer: Great french boulangerie! The service was great, we’ve ordered two special breakfast, including bread, butter, jam, eggs benedict, coffee and orange juice for 50$ total, with taxes. The food was great! Would recommend!

Jamie K: I thought PAUL was a European only place til I moved to dc and it still gives me those vibes, except with american efficiency. Plus, I think PAUL has the best black coffee in the city. And the pasties are all ::chefs kiss:: but don’t miss the Gourmandise or if you like citrus, the citrus tart.

Kaiser Baam: Honestly the seating outside with a good cup of coffee and a three layer moose and relaxing great place to relax and converse with friends. The staff are wonderful. Coffees good.

mustafa Suwaylih: Amazing bakery. I had the chocolate croissant. It was perfect. Paul always surprise us with they amazing decorations. It was the first time I try the macaron and the taste wasn’t as I expected. It was bigger than the normal size. My friend who knows the taste of the macaron said it was great.

Azza T: Ordered omelette and chocolate deluxe croissant. Their latte was very good! Not a busy place and friendly employees.

Jason Yeung: Phenomenal subs. I got the Capri, which I found was a great combination of salty, sweet and sour. Their bread is nice and soft, but doesn’t fall apart when you bite into it. My wife got a the Nino pizza - one slice. Great pizza as well. Make sure you like cheese if you order this. Aside from the food, there’s a great selection of Italian snack, pasta, wine and cheese. Make sure you check out the frozen section for frozen ravioli.

Daniel H: This is my favorite Italian sub deli in NOVA for last 40 yrs. But first time since the pandemic and subs are “grab & go” now. 🙁 For customized subs you have to call ahead. I picked up pre-made Capri and Milano and they are not as good as fresh made; no oil & vinegar, can’t mix sweet & hot peppers. I likes its Italians subs with all the trimming and I was a bit disappointed. I’ll definitely call ahead next time.

Lena Molina: It’s an authentic Italian grocery shop with deli. I had a cheese slice. it was okay. Definitely not NY style pizza.

Chesha Hale: I used to love this place especially for the pizza. Now the pizza is still good I love the cheese pizza. The customer service is cold and rude. This place used to be so nice. The staff was warm and friendly, the guys that made the sandwiches & pizza were so cool! But now it’s like this coldness with the staff I miss the old lady that used to be at the register this was before COVID way before. I have not tried the other location yet maybe I will go there since other reviewers are saying that the people are nicer there. I don’t know what change is it the atmosphere or what? Honestly the atmosphere in the area has changed.

Lester Gutierrez: I love the large Palermo with sweet peppers on a hard roll. Best sandwich they’ve got without a doubt. The white pizza is amazing too. Order ahead by phone if you want anything customized. Highly recommended!

Eric Lee: Pizzas are fantastic. Ingredients taste high quality, from the cheese to the toppings to the bread. Already been back to try more pizza- have had the suprema, mushroom, Nico’s. All were good and really depends on what mood you’re in. Sandwiches were underwhelming, though they’ve cut down selections since the pandemic. Will give those a try when they bring back the good stuff. Deli is convenient for anything else you might need. Potato and egg salad were decent but won’t get again. Tiramisu is fantastic!

Leslie Williston: this place is so cool! fun to be able to watch people make fresh bread. The pastries we fabulous. i would love to see a lemon scone. overall wonderful inside and out. cool market vibe inside too

Sedona Reilly: Stopped here on my way home from American University and it was hands down the best breakfast place I have been to in the city thus far. The store is so cute, there’s everything you could imagine in stock. The employees were so warm and welcoming, and the food was delicious. My mom and I left with 2 gourmet bagel sandwiches and a few pastries for the road. I will be making this a regular spot when I move to the city!

Sticks Forks & Others: Stopped by today for the first time - a 30+ minute drive. Well worth the trip. Very impressed overall. Main goal was to get some canele, which is very hard to come by, especially the good ones. Wasn’t disappointed. Picked up a bag full and a chocolate croissant. All very, very good. The canele was firm and crispy on the outside and moist on the inside - just the way it should be. The same goes for the chocolate croissant - perfectly done with the perfect amount of chocolate. There is so much to see at the store. From pasta to peanut butter, you could spend hours eye shopping. There is parking behind the back and few outdoor seats in front and back of the store. Definitely worth the trip and worth revisiting.

Y B: Do you like the taste of burned toast? This is what the crust tasted like as I discovered the condition of the bread in the paper bag. Additional worth noting that not posting prices is a basic form of economic discrimination.

Dondré: Bread furst is a different type of bakery. Not only do they have fresh bread but they also offer a plethora of local pastas, sauces, dried fruits plus more. The staff is friendly and the options are plenty. There are options for outdoor dining as well which is always nice when the weather is great.

dwayne gulley: Late review but it was a must. Breakfast here is amazing. Very busy but worth the wait as everybody in here is visibly working hard. Manager or owner was walking the floor and stocking and recommended the mixed jars to mix alcohol with. That was a solid recommendation and a hit with my holiday crew.

Krystal Perez: Cute little coffee shop I found on my lunch break this evening , the baristas are so sweet and creative I felt at home here ... they allow inside seating and presented me with a fancy latte, with art included! Keep it up ladies, your the best !!!
Response: Thanks for the feedback Krystal! Next time you visit trying one of our cold brew options, I recommend the Flower Power.

Saray Fischer: Stopped by this afternoon for a quick pick me up, I was surprised that this cafe was open but it feels like home , great music, soft lighting, tons of plants, and the male barista served me at my table, I loved it. I felt special and will be returning when I need to get out of the office more often . I will be recommending this chain to my coworkers , family , and friends !

Monika Raj: The staff are among the nicest folks I’ve ever met and make visiting this place worth it. However, the store consistently has issues with their online ordering system…often times it’s down or underestimates how long it will take to be ready. This in no way is the fault of the staff and they do their best to work with what they have…but this is not reliant if you are hoping to grab coffee before a meeting
Response: Monika, thank you so much for the feedback and for bring this issue to our attention. We will address this right away.

Elizabeth Hung: Loved my experience and drink here! The indoor decor is so hip and cute. The menu choices all sounded amazing but I went with the matcha latte with oat milk. It was perfectly matcha-y and unsweetened (my favorite). One of the best matcha drinks I have gotten in the dc area. My friend got the chai and he said it was great as well.
Response: Awesome news Elizabeth, thanks for the feedback! Glad you enjoyed the Matcha! See you soon!

Sharon Angela Naidoo: This place ticks all the boxes, good service, GREAT COFFEE and wonderful atmosphere. I have visited this coffee place everyday I stayed here. The coffee always had a personal touch. The picture below is a cortado with skim milk.

Fred Kingman: My wife and I agree that this cafe has good drip coffee, and great customer service. There is indoor and outdoor seating, we chose outdoors. She had the breakfast burrito. I tried the skinny and it was wholesome. Definitely worth a second visit next time were in town.
Response: Fred, thank you so much for your feedback. Next time your in town, your coffee and breakfast sandwich will be on us./

Adam Rutkowski: There needs to be some customer service training. Business opens at 7am. I showed up at 7:03. It was raining outside. The door was unlocked. I entered and was told I had to leave because you weren’t open, yet. Instead of inviting me to sit in the foyer area in a chair, out of the rain, I was escorted out of the space and the door was locked behind me… in the rain.
Response: Hi Adam - I'm so sorry to hear about your experience this morning. It is definitely not how we should have welcomed you in out of the rain and served you right away even as we were setting. I've addressed this with the team and I want to invite you back in for coffee and a treat on us to make up for this. DeeDee ,the manager on site will be there and will take care of you! So sorry again and looking forward to seeing you again. -Greg

La Tomate: what do users think?

A Ponce: Just okay. The presentation was nice, flavor was "okay" . Certainly other options with more wow factor for the same or likely less cost. Bring some bread with you, the generously salted scone left much to be desired. The hostess on the other hand was a delight

Susanna Mostaghim: Presentation was good. The food was above average. You can find better. Service was patient and fast. A popular spot for many people with indoor and outdoor seating in DuPont. Decent portion sizes for the price.

Jennifer McMorrow: We went all out here with appetizers and dessert and had a really lovely meal. The prosciutto and cheese selections were exceptional and the homemade pastas are really good. I had cacio e pepe and my sister had the ravioli- both full of flavor and well prepared. I would definitely recommend this place!

Ya Xin Lin: I went with friends after passing by it so many times and seeing all the super cute decor. I got the Pasta al Nero which was good, though I would advise others that the food in general is on the expensive side. I would bump my rating to a 5 but our waiter was passive aggressive at times. They got one of my friends order wrong and she ended up having to pay for a $30 dish when she wanted a $14 one.

Daffy Taffy: Truly, what a beautiful experience from the beginning to the check... I cannot say anything negative about this place as a Californian and living in DC for the last decade I have to say this Italian spot is elegant with the service and the food is good. High quality and over my expectations from seeing this restaurant in the past from the outside. Thank you. 💌

Sara Ramirez: Service was terrible. The waiter waited until after we had placed our order to tell us the special of the day. I have gluten intolerance and was inquiring about options, He told me that any pasta could be done gluten free. I ordered the Pasta al Nero hoping to get the squid sauce and instead got red sauce instead (see images). The sauce was super salty. One of us also had lactose intolerant and when we asked whether an item had lactose, the waiters answer was, the ingredients are on the menu. Overall, the experience was unpleasant and I had chosen the restaurant because I had family in town. I was going to leave one star, but the decor is nice and my guest said they enjoyed the bread. We will NOT be returning to La 🍅

Giovanni F.: Christmas’s Lunch with the Italian in DC, nice place, good food and fancy music. Domenico has great ideas to grow the business. Good luck.

John Toth: Pretty good! Breakfast sandwiches were tasty. The quiche was very good. Crusty and cheesy. Coffee was as to be expected.
Response: Thanks for your review! Appreciate your support of our business and mission.

Rebecca Opiela: I loved it! The staff was super nice and efficient. The space well clean and had a nice bathroom. Everything was wheelchair accessible including the front door and bathroom. The croissant was delicious too! I sat there and read a while and had a nice time.
Response: Thank you for your 5-star rating! So glad you enjoyed your visit, and hope to see you back again! We appreciate your support of our small business and our mission.

Alisha T: 🔥 Matcha cherry muffin with cherries inside 🔥 and their chocolate zucchini mini bread is very chocolate rich! Great loose leaf tea selection. Nice and cozy spot.
Response: Thank you for your review! So glad you enjoyed your visit, and hope to see you back again! We appreciate your support of our small business and our mission.

Karen Laska: Love this place!! Everything is delicious, but my favorites are the chocolate zucchini bread, the egg & cheese on a honey thyme biscuit, and the chocolate chip cookies. It’s a great spot for reading or studying, and the staff members are always so nice. Highly recommend it!
Response: Thank you for your review, Karen! We really appreciate your support of our business & mission.

Austin: OVERHYPED. The bakery is certainly tasty, however it is more of a cafe. I arrived on a Sunday morning when they were not busy and purchased both a breakfast sandwich and matcha cherry muffin. The muffin was not noticeable burnt, but it was slightly over cooked as the wrapping was sticking to the muffin and was burnt. The breakfast sandwich with the honey thyme biscuit is AMAZING which earned the three stars. The lady at the register was friendly and prompt to assist me, she spoke loud and clearly; something that is rare nowadays with the masks on. It was also $19 for an egg and cheese sandwich, muffin and a small latte… with oat milk which is like 50¢… I don’t mind paying that if it’s tasty, but it wasn’t.
Response: Hello Austin! We are sorry to hear your visit didn't go as well as we would hope. We hope you'll give us another chance, and appreciate your feedback.

Charlotte Rhea: it’s delicious! such a cool bakery and i highly recommend the cinnamon bun. it was perfect!
Response: Thank you for your review! We are glad you enjoyed your visit, thank you for supporting our business and our mission!

greg nyhus: Lovely, patriotic themed, and inviting bakery. The coffee is outstanding and the baked goods are awesome. Cranberry-apple muffins are generous and the cinnamon rolls are a full meal. Friendly and cheerful staff make the coffee stop or breakfast a great experience. Well done!
Response: Thank you for your review and your support of our mission!

Stephanie Adams: Great service. The nice lady who always takes my order takes her time to make sure I know exactly what I’m getting and what else might be good to try. They always have little samples which are pulling me towards a whole cake 😇
Response: Thank you for your review, we're so glad to hear that you enjoy stopping by the bakery regularly! We appreciate your support of our bakery and our mission. Hope to see you again soon.

Zee MW: Great spot to grab a quick bite. Nice environment.. the folks that work there are amazing. The food is pretty good. Definitely recommended if your in the area!
Response: Thank you for stopping by! We appreciate your support of our small business and mission. We hope to see you again!

Maritza Cooper: What a wonderful place to grab a cup of coffee and enjoy with a delicious desert or sandwich. Their decor is lovely. We went for a special Comedy night held by the Armed Services ARTS Partnership! The barista on duty did an amazing job of not only cleaning up for the nite, but set up the food and refreshments flawlessly. She made sure my 7 year old granddaughter was comfortable and well fed. I will be back. Love the idea of empowering Vets! And teaching them business skills to succeed after their service ! Great job Dog Tag Bakery!
Response: Thank you for your review and for supporting our mission! So glad you were able to attend one of ASAP's events as well - what a great organization!

Trader Joe's: what do users think?

Natalia Suska: Best grocery store in the area! It has the cheapest prices in Georgetown because they do not price surge based on location, like Safeway does. The staff are all really nice and helpful too.

Alex Navarro: Great store. Not enough variety for me to shop there exclusively, but I do love many of their items enough to make a special trip. The service from the staff is always excellent. As with all Trader Joe’s, the parking can be a nightmare. Too many spots jammed in.

Lillian Bauer: I visited Monday 03/21/22 around 4:30 pm! Got all my groceries, but unfortunately the woman packed my bags too heavy. I figured my car’s around the corner - I’ll be ok. Well, I was wrong all my items broke through the bag on the sidewalk. Of course all the eggs broke:( I set them aside, picked up my groceries and went to my car before another bag broke. A young brunette woman saw me, ran to my car and offered to run inside and get the items that broke! She was on parking duty. I wish I got her name but let me just say - what a wonderful person!!! This store is beyond lucky to have her!

Maribel Jimeno: The bestTrader Joes in DC. they are increasingly adding more and more fresh unpacked produced which is nice. If only they had more variety of fish and meats, this store would be perfect.

YOUNG-i The GOD: Great customer service goes a long way. Always clean, lines get long but move fast, and they of course have some of the best produce and vegan products on the market. And I don’t think anyone beats their wine prices!

Tynan Coffee & Tea: what do users think?

Jessica C: This place has my favorite lattes/mochas. I think it’s because of the textured milk. Their seasonal honey lavender latte was fantastic — sweet but not sickeningly so. Their ancho chili mocha has the exact right amount of spice. Unfortunately though, these don’t translate to their iced coffee counterparts. If you want a flavored drink, order it hot, as the flavoring separates and you can taste powdered cinnamon (or whatever it is) when served cold. Great selection of pastries including bullfrog bagels. This is always where I go for a treat.

Audrey Jane: Ordered a delicious cafe con leche. Their ginger flavor was great. But I came here specifically to work on homework the register worker informed me that the manager turns off the Wi-Fi on the weekend?? The description for this place advertises wifi, I was disappointed when there wasn’t any. Had to go to another place, wish I didn’t spend my money here

Margot Igland Skarpeteig: Perfect espresso - so sweet! And patient and super friendly staff.

Shey Wilkin: Made a quick stop into Tynan during our trip to DC pre-pandemic. Nothing too memorable, but I do recall it being really close to the bus stop, which made it super convenient, since we were strictly traveling by free public transport at the time. Husband had that delicious looking waffle, egg, and cheese sandwich sitting in a pool of syrup. I think I got a turkey avocado sandwich. I would go here again.

Real Live Blue: The everything bagel, blueberry waffle and turkey sandwich are amazing🔥🔥🔥🔥

Haim Haviv: Laptop-friendly neighborhood cafe. However, the bagel my breakfast sandwich was served on was dry and internet is limited so you need a code every hour. Otherwise friendly staff and a spacious place.

Nancy Cosner: Amazing. Chilli ancho mocha. My new fave. I like spicy. This has got just a touch at the end. Barista super helpful and friendly. My first visit. Will definitely return.

Whole Foods Market: what do users think?

José FERREIRO (ホセ フェレイロ): You may find anything here. Amazon fresh delivery here. Easy parking🅿️ you may find even warm food ready to eat. It is interesting to note that you will not find alcool due to local regulations. From meat, fish 🐠🐟 to pastry everything you need. Vegetables very fresh. Everything well. My favorite > the olives that were amazingly good.

Henok Garedew (Henny breezy): This Whole Foods conveniently located in downtown DC. The hot bar has amazing food (I have to eat in my car) The only thing I don’t like is after Amazon bought the store they no longer have dining area. Have lots of parking. Validation is required upon exit.

Joseph Althouse: I love WF. Every location. Cheese selection is fantastic. Seafood is fresh. Not all locations have the sourdough baguette but if you can find it I highly recommend it. I wish there was better line management at checkout. The lines always force customers to block areas needed by other shoppers.
Response: Thanks for your support, Joseph! We look forward to welcoming you back again soon.

JAMES HYDE: I only go to While Foods for the prepared foods bar. Based on that, this is the worst Whole Foods I’ve been to. I visited three times, and all three times there were a lot of items empty, the food looked old, once the only protein was dried out meatloaf, fried dried chicken, or three pieces of grilled chicken breast that looked like it was from last week. I don’t think I was the only one, there was lots of disappointment walking around looking for something to eat. One visit there was NO lettuce. A salad bar without lettuce! 😐

Mike J.: Ok store but one police officer and one manager by name LYNN. accuses people of shoplifting. Racially profiled people and along with one security guard. On two occasions he followed me and checked into my bag , I been shopping there for five month. New here from Texas. Only when he started working there things became different and difficult. This just has happened a month so far. He also has done same with my friends and other People who carry re usable bags. He should not be a manager. Horrible experience when ever he is working there. He should be fired.

Kev- keepingitreal: This Giant Food Store is pretty big and they offer a variety of different items. The prices are somewhat reasonable. The staff was welcoming, helpful and friendly. This location was clean and offers a convenient parking garage across the street with a 2 hours validated parking stamped from Giant Food Store.

Sassy Sauce: The stores produce is always fresh and it’s so stimulating for the eye. I love the vibrant colors and the selection is pretty good. I like the selection of organic products too. They have an entire aisle devoted to organic foods. They have a large selection of beers and wines. It’s always something new to try. The pharmacy is good too. They pharmacists are always friendly and willing to help. The self check out lines can get a little long on the weekends but they move quickly.

Whole Foods Market: what do users think?

Win Anderson: This great review is solely because of the wonderful barista at the coffee shop. I was in town for a conference and went to whole foods three days in a row for coffee in the morning. Each day Tom provided wonderful coffee and friendly service. He is polite and personable and efficient. (This was in stark contrast to some of the register checkout clerks, who were downright rude.). The police officers were very friendly!

Cyndy Nguyen: I came here for the coffee bar and had a wonderful experience. The barista, Tom, was friendly and helpful. He gave me some information about the decaf coffee (doesn’t contain any chemicals). He gave me a sample of one of their green smoothies and made me a delicious brown butter cookie latte. I’ll come back for the great customer service.
Response: We truly appreciate you sharing your feedback with us, Cyndy. We are thrilled to hear of the amazing experience you received at the Foggy Bottom store, and will gladly share your feedback with the appropriate leadership so Tom can get the kudos they deserve!

Barry Bub: I am usually willing to pay more at a Whole Foods market because I generally enjoy the shopping experience there. This particular store not, for a number of reasons. Here’s one. When I asked the checkout person, politely, to tape the lid of the soup container to prevent it coming off - I had a long walk home - she yelled at me and stormed off. She was replaced by male who told me they no no longer tape or rubber band lids. I guess the few seconds it takes to do so eats into their profits. And what has happened to customer service? I agree with the previous reviewer, it’s a management or corporate problem.
Response: We're so sorry you were disappointed on your recent visit, Barry. Please visit http://wfm.com/help to send us further details and our team would be happy to review your feedback.

Melissa Colón: I love stopping by the coffee bar for my daily fix. My drink is always perfectly made and the conversation is great! I’m hoping that eventually the hot bar breakfast will work its way back up to how great it was pre-pandemic.
Response: We're pleased to hear you enjoy our coffee bar, Melissa. Thank you for shopping with us!

Natalia Delgado: Had a really had experience at this location. We were accused of stealing by the manager just because we had our own cart with groceries from trader joes. The grocery store is 15 minutes from where we live and we go walking so we have no other option than to go to both stores in one trip. He made us feel very uncomfortable the whole time and followed us throughout the store. Another person had their own cart and was putting groceries in there but it didn’t seem like he said anything to them while we had our whole foods items in a separate basket. He approached again at checkout (after making it very obvious that he was talking about us with another employee) and said we couldn’t bring our own cart because “it confuses the employees”. I explained that we had a receipt for the groceries we had in our cart but he didn’t seen to care. We don’t have the luxury of a car or leaving nearby the store and we had never had any problems with going to two stores in one trip with our cart.
Response: We're so sorry you were disappointed with your recent visit, Natalia. Please visit http://wfm.com/help to send us further details and our team would be happy to review your feedback.

Caroline McGuire: Tom makes the best smoothies at the coffee & smoothie bar! The whole staff is amazing and the store is always so well organized. Cannot recommend this spot enough!
Response: We appreciate your support, Caroline. We are delighted to hear how great your experience was and we hope you enjoy the rest of your day!

Elena Christinne: Affordable prices. Lots of options on the deli section. For a visitor is a great location to grab and go some breakfast or lunch.

Dave Schubert: Nice upscale store. Nicer than their other stores. Be sure parking stub gets validated correctly if you are in the basement garage. Scanner issues for me ... I had to go back to avoid $15 requested at the gate.

Khalil Abrams: The second lady at the deli was getting so agitated by me questioning that the .25 lb of grilled vegetables was not equal to the 2lb label other lady put on my container. Weird right? Then she tried to justify it by looking at the unit price of 1.77 per lb and stating that’s how much it weighs. Mind you there is only a quarter pound of vegetables in the container. Again, it just goes to how people can be untrained and be on the verge of a mental breakdown instead of listening to a customer. I called the store beforehand and got a dial tone the first go round and the second time around, I explained to customer service person that the situation and she takes my container over to the deli and I guess she was confused as to what the issue because the label on the small container clearly shows 2 lbs. Thus, the deli person becomes startled and wanted to basically yell at me for coming to them with a correctable issue. Food bar looked dilapidated with chicken fingers looking that sat for over 5+ hours. The best part is I overhead them say that two other deli employees called out that day. I wonder why?
Response: We appreciate your feedback, please accept our apologies for the unsatisfactory customer service you received. Your concerns have been directed to our Deli Leadership Team for review. Thank you for your time.

Loren Stanford: This place is disgusting and apathetic. While in line checking out, with jazz music playing on a speaker, I observed a woman walk past me with a dog on a leash and proceed around open food to go to Starbucks. The problem is the dog was NOT designated as a service animal. To be designated as a service animal, there is training and licensing and the dog is to wear it as a part of them. To leash a dog and “call” it an service animal is rude and disgusting. When I alerted the security guard from Wolf security that he allowed her to enter with a dog around food he looked at me and shook his head. When I went to the front desk to alert the front end manager, her response was we have a sign and once we tell them it has be a service animal and they reply it is one, there’s nothing we can do by law. Umm. No the fact that it does not have appropriate gear deems it not a service dog and it and the person carrying the leash should not be allowed in the store. The fact that they scoffed at me as why do I care shows that they lack any integrity in food safety. This was the deli and salad bar!!! Disgusting, they should be reprimanded and no do without PROPER SERVICE DOG ATTIRE SHOULD ENTER. I’m calling Dcra next to report to them too!
Response: We are sorry to hear about your experience with another customer's dog in our store, Loren. We have shared your comments with our store's Management Team for review. If you would like to be personally contacted about your experience, please chat with us via the Contact Us page on our site.

Jonathan Taylor: Meh. Not a bad shop, but never buy vegetables or meat without checking the Sellby date. Bonus tip: check the wine shelves for hidden gems. A 6 bottle purchase with membership unlocks an extra discount.
Response: Hi Jonathan! — We are delighted to hear you are enjoying our wine prices! However, we are disappointed to learn we are missing the mark on sell-by dates. We have shared your feedback with our team for further review. If you require further assistance, please reach out to us on our Contact US page or on our site using the questions bubble on the lower right-hand side. Thanks so very much.

gaetan spurgin: Close to the wharf, its a safeway.... so real in your expectations.... Artea seems like it would be better served with a whole foods, but this thrifty store is an easy walk from the wharf and a good place to pick up essentials if your staying in town

Whole Foods Market: what do users think?

nick GERARDO: Whole Foods is by far my top grocery stores but could not give this one five stars. Hard to find products and my biggest complaint is the customer service. I really try/ hardly ask for help. I could not find the water for the life of me, so I decided to ask for help. Man the employee acted like I was asking him some random questions that doesn’t have to do with Whole Foods. Then when I went to check out I got a whole pizza and the price sticker fell off. The employee made get out of line and go get the sticker. Mind blowing. These Whole Foods needs a lot of work.
Response: Thanks for bringing this to our attention, Nick. We're sorry to hear about your experience you had during your recent trip, and we would like to look into this issue further. Please feel free to contact us directly at wfm.com/help with any additional details.

Eye Heru: The customer service here is hit or miss, most days though, it’s a miss. Most employees are not knowledgeable of the products. And some employees do not handle products with the proper sanitary care ie - seafood and deli (please change your gloves after touching meat products and moving on to dairy. Also please wrap the seafood products properly to avoid leakage. And do not use the same gloves to wrap the food that you used to cut the fish. The raw fish is on your gloves that you touch and spread to the outside of the wrapper that a customer now places in their cart. On the flip side, every experience I’ve had with the cheese and wine department has been very good. Now the quality of most products and food here is great. Though the standards aren’t what they use to be it’s still Whole Foods. The store also is a little compact compared to most Whole Foods. If there were more space I think this would be a ideal spot for a PLNT burger.

Khurram Sheharyar: Lots of fresh veggies, poultry, dairy, seafood and meat varieties available. Plus a cute little nursery near the exit offering a wide variety of plants to purchase. Highly recommended!
Response: We're happy to hear you enjoy shopping with us! We appreciate the awesome review, Khurram.

Matt R: There are a few reasons I tend to shop here. First, the parking structure isn’t ridiculously tight like a lot of them are (tip, enter from the back, it’s much less crowded). Second, they have a great beer and wine selection. The staff is helpful, too.

princess peach: This place is prettttty over priced. Average price for a TV dinner was 6$. Um no. Very crowded but my God why are the aisles so tiny ? Shopping here is hell and will leave you broke. Back to Wegmans I go.

Ali Ibrahim: Great place! Friendly staff! Little pricier than giant but high quality organic products!! I have been using the salad bar for lunch and I am loving it! The selection is huge and great quality! I get a great salad within my budget of $10 ! There is also a nice seating area where you can get coffee or a beer if you like! I didn’t like the bathrooms in the cafeteria area! I have pictures but I won’t post them here! But i hope they will give the bathrooms some TLC! It’s a shame such a beautiful and clean store have such a nasty bathroom! can you imagine an employee going to the bathroom that has leaking water all over the floor dragging all those germs on his shoes near your food in the kitchen and everywhere? Hence the 4 stars! Please fix the bathroom!

Hanna Foreman: Convenient location right next to the metro. However, there never seem to be enough people staffing the check out lines and there’s always a 10+ minute wait to check out even when you have one item in the express lane. Depending on the day some customers aren’t wearing masks properly.

Abigail Slagle: Made the mistake of coming here to pick up less than 10 items at 1pm on a Sunday. What should have been a quick 10 minute grocery run took an hour. I waited in line for 40 minutes here. There were 2 registers open, although there were numerous store employees around, just no cashiers apparently. I will not be back to this horribly mis-managed location. Don’t waste your time here like I did.
Response: Hi Abigail, we apologize about your experience at your local store. We have shared your feedback with store leadership. Thank you for taking the time to share with us.

Stephen Griffin: This is our neighborhood Whole Foods, about a 5 min walk from our house. I like the size and the staff is very helpful - especially the meat and fish counter staff. In general the produce is ok with one *very big* exception. Inevitably, the pre-packaged lettuce mixes (spring mix, etc) have at least one variety that is slimy and ruins the rest. In other Whole Food stores the mixes are ok. The problem likely comes from poor drying, overly dense packing or storing at too low a temperature before putting them out on the shelf.
Response: Thank you for taking the time to leave us this review, Stephen. We're glad to have you shop with us!

Dana Savage: My favorite grocery store in the area for most things. Their butcher and fish monger are both very knowledgeable and generally have a great selection.
