Georgetown Olive Oil Co: what do users think?

Valentina Aleksandrova: Great shop!Everything I tasted there was delicious, ended up bringing home a great variety of extra virgin olive oils, balsamic and some flavored oils too. Their 2oz bottles made great gifts for family and friends overseas. I will definitely be back next time I am in DC.

Димитър Мерджанов: Most interesting store we saw in Georgeown. I sampled so many different flavors. You have to visit and get something if you are around!

Katherine Bryant: Love this shop! Wonderful flavors, great service.

Pavela Bambekova: I ABSOLUTELY love this store! I have been to the store at least 7 times in less than 2 months because there is so much to see, taste, and take home! I even brought my family to the store, and they were able to get their favorite flavors of olive oil and vinegar. The owners are very knowledgeable and experienced - they take their time to teach you about the different variety of oils and balsamic vinegars while you sip on the favors. There is much more than oil and vinegar, also! They have beautiful plates, bowls, and dishes; healthy and savory spices; delicious pasta; even olive oil based cosmetic products! From the moment you enter the store to time you leave, you will feel the healthy benefits all of the products the store have! This store is a gem for Georgetown!

hamza ijaz: Come here every few months to re-up on olive oil. They get fresh shipments from olive oil/ olive hubs all over the world every so often. The guy that runs the store is incredibly knowledgable about olive oil. Definitely the best store ive ever been to for olive oil. A quick google search shows you the benefits of olive oil and this place has the best of the best. My favorite infused one is the tuscany herb and you HAVE to get one with a high polyphenol count for the health benefits so i always walk out with atleast 3 bottles. One for the family and 2 for me

Samantha Owens: Beautiful local shop offering high quality olive oils and vinegars (they also have salts, rubs, gifts and more). One of my favorite places in Georgetown. Never felt pressured to buy and one can sample almost everything in the store. Knowledgable staff, excellent customer service.

Jaime K: Discovered this shop during a recent trip to DC. I am simply amazed.Beautiful place, extremely pleasant staff and delicious products.I learned a lot about fresh olive oil (and purchased a lot to bring home, wish I lived in the area to go back for refills). They have over 60 (if I counted right) different oils and vinegars. The staff is very knowledgeable and very kind, and the space smells really nice! You are a great experience guys! Thank you all.

Ivy Stamatova: This is by far the most interesting shop in the National Harbor. I tried so many interesting flavors of olive oil and balsamic and settled on Pesto olive oil and Truffle balsamic. They also ship. Very convenient to buy is you are traveling. I’m so excited to try them when I get home!

Peggy Vintage: Beautiful local shop with High Quality Products. The staff is Friendly and eager to help customers choose the perfect oil and vinegar pairings. The store is easy to navigate and allows you to sample the products. This allows for you to purchase whatever suits you. The store is also environmentally conscious. They reward their customers with a discount for returning the previously purchased bottles to the store.

Darran Smith: good selection of oils, great selection of vinegars, comparable prices. friendly staff that knows their products and have great ideas how to use them. I love that you can take your empty bottles in for a refill and even get a discount for doing so.

Ashley Dier: Customer service at this location is phenomenal! I came in 10 minutes to closing and the lady behind the counter was still able to help me out and show me the different oils. 10/10 would come back here, both for the service and the products, which are delicious.

Petar Tanakov: The different kinds of olive oil have a great taste. The balsamic olive oil has a unique flavor. It is my favorite. I highly recommend this place.

Hristo Deyanov: I just visited this store. I got a bottle of white truffle oil and it is delicious! Definitely visit if you are in the National Harbor.

Natalie Thomas: A gem for foodies who love cooking with delicious flavors. These oil & vinegar combinations make it easy-peazy.

Olio2go: what do users think?

Barbara Wadley-Young: I visited the store and was surprised by the variety of interesting items on display. I wanted to stay longer and look at every item but didn’t have the time. The website was helpful. I ended up purchasing more than 40 items for our staff for the holidays and that really appreciated the uniqueness of the gifts. The store’s staff was very helpful to ensure that I had the bags and tissue paper that I needed for each item. I highly recommend the products.

Cindy Shea: I have been buying from Olio2go for 10 years. Their products are absolutely the best but as important, customer service is exceptional. If there is a problem, the manager resolves it quickly and with absolute transparency. Everything is professionally packed and shipping is prompt. No complaints about Olio2go.

Anita and Roger Lowen: Excellent products and a fantastic nondairy chocolate spread which has been a perfect gift anyone and especially for some vegan friends.

Svetlana Lugovaya: Amazing products! Unforgettable customer service!!!

Kushal “Kush” Gupta: Fantastic customer service!

A. Litteri: what do users think?

J Z: This review is only for the deli sandwiches. Got the 12” Italian classic at a pretty good price. It tasted good and the ingredients were fresh. Not that much difference or special from lots of other good sandwich places though. I would go again when I’m in the area, but not worth a special trip.

Michael Brown: My first time in A. Litteri I didn’t recall any music playing, but I was definitely humming Che La Luna while trying to find a good bottle of Vermentino - if there was ever a place to find one, the ceiling-high racks of imported Italian, Spanish and Portuguese wines in A. Litteri is where it will be, at least on this side of the Atlantic. To the back of the store, past the walls of imported pasta, olive oils, spices, and sauces are three large deli coolers with olives and cheeses on one side and meats on the other. There are menus and pencils for people to mark their choice of sandwich, choose toppings, etc. Being right next to Gualladet University, you can also mark if you’re deaf so they will bring you your sandwich instead of calling your name. We ordered chicken Parmesan and classic Italian sandwiches on soft rolls. The chicken parm was pressed into a panini and had just the right amount of sauce and melted cheese. The classic Italian was a paean dedicated to the perfect combination of capicola, Genoa salami, mortadella, prosciuttini, lettuce, tomato, onion, hot peppers and olive oil dressing. We ordered some cannolis, of course, and walked them back to my place to have a socially distanced lunch - with Louis Prima playing on the Alexa. My only regret was not ordering more. The Italian embassy may be somewhere else in DC, but Italy’s best ambassador is a little store called A. Litteri. (Out of five) Food: 5; Ambiance: 4.5; Value: 5; Service: 3 (the person at the counter in the back had some serious difficulty grating pecorino despite being asked five times).

Larry “Big Schlim” Mcleod: I stumbled on this spot after searching for another spot. Once I took a look at their menu & prices…immediately I thought, BIG SCHLIM LITE POCKET MEALS!! This place is a storefront has a full service Deli, & has been said to be Italy in one tiny store. . Where I am: @a.litteri . Location Reviewed: 517 Morse St., N.E. Washington D.C. . Menu Includes: Cold Subs like the Italian, Tuna, Chicken Salad, & a build your own option. Hot Subs like their Rueben, Chicken Parmesan, Gyro, Eggplant Parmesan, Caesar-Greek-Chef & Garden Salads, Baked Lasagna, Maryland Crab soup,Chili, Baked goods, Wine, Grocery, & Deli items. . Henggao Cai: I highly recommend this place and definitely order online. A lot of the stuff here is imported from Italy.

Mel Jones: Unfortunately nothing seems the same regarding brick and mortar business these days. However, this place is still a pretty cool spot, a hidden secret when it comes to an authentic Italian deli. Authentic anything is hard to find in DC. Fresh meats, great subs, a variety of Italian delicacies and wines, a real throw back to days gone by.

Fernanda Lanzagorta: Big Italian market with wine, Italian products, homemade pasta dishes and tasteful Italian subs. Their selection of ingredients is fresh and diverse. Definitely a must if you are in the area.

Jorge Zurita-Coronado: Great selection of wine and even better sandwiches. Go here for lunch often and it always hits the spot. One of my favorite items is the meatball sub. Sauce is great and bread is perfectly toasted. Definitely a must try.

bob millett: When I worked in DC - A Litteri was part of the office lunch rotation. From hot pasta and lasagna dishes in the colder months or delicious sandwiches year round. 5 stars is not enough for A Alitteri

The Mediterranean Way Gourmet Market: what do users think?

Gabriel Tavares: I couldn’t find what I was looking for, but the service was deserved at 5 stars, if they get there they will certainly be well attended...

Maximilian Bachmann: From gourmet chocolates to special pastas. Large wine selection featuring wines not found elsewhere. Sonor Wines America collection and Grapes & Vibes sparkling’s

Jasmin Hollywood: This place has fabulous imported gourmet goods from various nations. I was able to find Tetramythos Greek wine for a reasonable price and sparkling Italian water.

Leona Stewart: They have everything you need to act like you cooked it.

Hannah Shabenas: The gentleman tending the shop was very nice! He gave my sister and I samples of two different jelly candies and some Italian crackers. The shop had a lot of interesting stuff, it reminded me of the shops we visited in Greece. Very neat!

Nash Stamson: Very cute store, good selection of Mediterranean food. Awesome oil and vinegar section. They were out of the exact cheese I wanted, but the friendly staff helped me find a good substitute. And for a specialty store, pretty affordable.

Evan Manuel: Great spot for Greek and Mediterranean food, wine and beer. Their Greek cheese selection is outstanding, and the Turkish and Greek spices are also stand outs. Of course, I mainly go for Greek Nescafé (to make frappes at home) and Greek chocolate. In addition to those Greek staples my wife also found a great prosecco there, too. A great store with equally friendly staff. Καταπληκτικώ!

Kathy L. Fortner: The Mediterranean Way did a fantastic job creating a most wonderful gift basket for professionals attending a National Conference this week in Washington, DC. Their interest, promptness in completing the request, and timeliness of delivering the gift was perfect! The recipients were so, so pleased!!!

Secolari Artisan Oils & Vinegars: what do users think?

Franklin Shearard: I cannot say how happy I was to find Secolari at Mary’s Land Farm in Ellicott City! I found so much more. The staff was awesome! Everyone was so helpful and kind! and Not only is Secolari there but farm raised meats, eggs (and DUCK EGGS) , veggies and even Ice Cream! ( yes Ice cream!) we’ve been there twice and now when we are in Clarksville going To Mary’s Land Farm and Secolari is a must. The olive oils and balsamic vinegars are AMAZING! My favorite of all is the Champagne Mimosa vinegar, it is a must! I tried the Dark Cherry Balsamic and made a dressing for my salad greens ( pictured below) also from Mary’s Land Farm was outrageously good! Another hidden gem 😀😍

T. N Thomas: Great quality product! I have tried some of the oils; my favorite is the Blood Orange Olive Oil. I also enjoy the Peach Bourbon Jam. These make wonderful gifts for family and friends for the upcoming holidays or even birthdays.

Marie Thrailkill: I buy Mantequilla Olive Oil regularly. I use it instead of butter on my popcorn. My go to olive oil for chicken is the Tandoori. I pair it with vindaloo spices, and it’s fabulous. For tuna or salmon, I like the lime olive oil. I highly recommend all of the Secolari products.

Kelly G: The staff are amazingly helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. The vinegars and oils are high quality with a variety of delicious flavors. Allow extra time to explore and taste your way through the store.

Sean Parker: If you want the best steak in the state come to this place. Their meats are amazing and fresh local produce as well.

Manassas Olive Oil Company: what do users think?

Jessica Wendt: Had a great experience today. My husband and I were in for the first time and felt welcomed right away from the beginning. Mrs Thomson is very knowledgeable and super nice. The selection on oils and vinegar they have is great. We will definitely be back and recommend this store to everyone in the area.

Kira Does Life: Have been getting oil from here for a few years, and willing to travel an hour to do it since I moved! Always have great help when we go, and love that we can bring the bottles back for refilling. Our most-loved oil is the rosemary olive oil. We cook with it more than anything else!

Jeff Wilson: This is a great place! Taste to your heart’s content, but be warned — there is a lot to like here, and you might end up buying half of the store. We first were exposed to Manassas Olive Oil Company at a farmers market and then looked them up on line. We were so happy that they have a brick and mortar location right in Old Town Manassas!!! There is also an extensive vinegar selection here that is not to be overlooked. I love the butter flavored and the rosemary flavored olive oil. The pomegranate infused vinegar is to die for!!! The owner is delightful. The store atmosphere is clean, fresh and inviting. There is home made pottery made by Mom which is also of pretty good quality — good prices. I thought that some of the mugs were particularly good with appealing glazes and well designed handles. Not to miss!!!

Samantha Morse: Aside from the amazing products in the store, Julie was absolutely amazing. She gave us recipe examples and was so warm and kind to us. We will 100% be back and we’ll order online. I wish I could give more than 5 stars!!

Christie Campbell (A Kitchen Hoor): They have THE BEST olive oils and vinegars. They also have a great selection of flavors of both along with locally sourced products like honey, spices, cheese, and salamis. LOVE them!

Sarah Y: Always helpful staff, very patient in letting us sample as much as we want and take our time deciding. Delicious and interesting infusions!

Alli Raymer: Emily is always so kind and helpful when I stop by! Such a great selection of top quality olive oils!

David 480: I have been wanting to try this place for a while since I drive past it frequently. I signed up for one of the "tastings" and wow! If you havent ever had real olive oil you are missing out. You can sample everything and find your favorites. I built my own variety pack and I will definitely be back to replenish when my supply runs low.

Trader Joe's: what do users think?

Khoi Nguyen: One of my favorite locations. Really busy but clean store, friendly staff and everything’s full stocked. Wide variety of frozen items, wine, produce and flowers. Very quick and efficient check out process. Even with a +20 person check out line it moved really quickly

Chaturbhuj bhojwani: Very clean excellent location, Great customer service, full of all kinds of merchandise.Good thing this location is not very busy.Fresh bread lots of variety of vegetables and other items.

River: Most pleasant grocery shopping experience. Very clean, personable, helpful and respectful staff and a great value! If you want to know professionalism, just make one visit. The only place to shop around this area! A sincere thank you to management and staff. AAA+++

Taahira Thompson: Everyone who works here is super nice. The service is great and the food selection is solid. The down side is that it’s hella crowded and the cart drop off situation sucks. If you get sensory overload maybe skip this location or go right at opening.

Shaushage G: Fast check out. Decent prices, good collection. Overall, TJ is my favorite grocery store

David Finkelstein: Aside from free parking under the store they took care of an excessively long line very quickly by opening as many registers as possible. It explains why they have such a great reputation. Will definitely be going again soon.

ms. J: We had a great experience and a privilege to meet Chef Charlie he showed lots of flavor and combinations of olive oils and balsamic vinegar. Highly recommended place to visit in Annapolis MD.

Lori Idol: The people in the store were very helpful. We had never been to an olive oil store before. This made our experience a good one. We like the olive oil we purchased and will be purchasing more in the future.

Berel Dubov: Just picked up some classic balsamic vinegar from there, this place is absolute best!

Travis Zeeler: Awesome place! Tarren(sp) is very knowledgeable and eager to help. Even with everything going on, she has made it easy to sample and shop. The 18 year balsamic is amazing for all kinds of recipes as well as my favorite, Tuscan infused olive oil.

I was welcomed and provided with amazing customer care and knowledge for my order. I was very impressed and I felt so well taken care of, especially his attention to each and every customer

Bree M.: Great place to get breakfast!

Garner Overton: Potomac Gourmet Market was an adorable bodega. It has a wide variety in the market including wine, beer, snacks, cheese, deli meats, ice cream, and some fresh produce. Their hot breakfast sandwiches until noon which were delicious! They also have lunch and dinner options. The staff was very kind and helpful. The staff said the market was much more crowded on the weekend mornings than it was on weekdays. Would 100% visit here again!

Howard Smith: The French toast platter (French toast, turkey bacon and scrambled eggs) and sausage cheese croissant were excellent! The cook behind the counter took our order and then called the number of our order when it was ready, he was also nice and friendly.

Natalia Suska: Best grocery store in the area! It has the cheapest prices in Georgetown because they do not price surge based on location, like Safeway does. The staff are all really nice and helpful too.

Alex Navarro: Great store. Not enough variety for me to shop there exclusively, but I do love many of their items enough to make a special trip. The service from the staff is always excellent. As with all Trader Joe’s, the parking can be a nightmare. Too many spots jammed in.

Lillian Bauer: I visited Monday 03/21/22 around 4:30 pm! Got all my groceries, but unfortunately the woman packed my bags too heavy. I figured my car’s around the corner - I’ll be ok. Well, I was wrong all my items broke through the bag on the sidewalk. Of course all the eggs broke:( I set them aside, picked up my groceries and went to my car before another bag broke. A young brunette woman saw me, ran to my car and offered to run inside and get the items that broke! She was on parking duty. I wish I got her name but let me just say - what a wonderful person!!! This store is beyond lucky to have her!

Maribel Jimeno: The bestTrader Joes in DC. they are increasingly adding more and more fresh unpacked produced which is nice. If only they had more variety of fish and meats, this store would be perfect.

YOUNG-i The GOD: Great customer service goes a long way. Always clean, lines get long but move fast, and they of course have some of the best produce and vegan products on the market. And I don’t think anyone beats their wine prices!

Linda Flowers: Hi. Have been meaning to write to you guys to let you know how how pleased I was with you back in December when I ordered the basket for my daughter and son in law. You were so helpful and went out of your way to make sure they would be happy with the products, and to make sure their Christmas gift was on time.. and delivered by your hudband!! Thank him for me! They were happy and pleased with what was in the gift box. And beautifully done. They love your place! Once again.. thank you for putting a smile on my face and theirs..P .S my daughter loves the small wisks! Happy New Years to you and your staff! Till next time! Linda.. from Cleveland Ohio

Allison J: Went in this afternoon and was the only customer, which turned out to be a blessing in disguise! The women working were so warm and helpful, going through each section of the store and letting me sample the vinegars/oils so I knew when I was getting. They left me alone to browse and shop which was really refreshing but then were so attentive when I had questions! I will absolutely be going back to pick up more gifts in the future!

Rob Coulter: Perfect place for all of your culinary complements - wide array of oils & vinegars

Marie Mayhew: The owner is awesome! She gives so many tips on using the products. Such care and attention is so refreshing. Support this business!

Kevin Buckley: This is a wonderful store and has hands down the best customer service you will ever experience. Having never stepped foot inside of a store like this, my fiance and I were greeted in a very friendly manner, and were immediately asked what we might be seeking. After informing them that we were looking for party favors for our wedding, the friendly staff helped walk us through the world of oils and vinegars ( there are so many that it can be overwhelming without a guide). After coming to a decision and choosing the favors we wanted, the service at this store just continued to grow, they offered to wrap the favors together for our guests and even tied them all together with a wonderful bow. To top it all off, they offered recipe cards that could be added to the gifts, so that our guests could make amazing foods out of it. Words cannot express how amazing, helpful and friendly everyone was that we interacted with. We will be eternally grateful for their help in making our wedding day one for our guests and us, to remember!

Luz Fitts: Been passing by this place for a few months now. So glad we finally popped in! They have a great variety of Oils and vinegars, but my favorite is the selection on the different salts and seasonings! We bought their Everything Bagel Seasoning and the Ghost Pepper sea salt. Both are delicious. Not to mention the customer service was excellent! We can’t wait to go back!

Kimberly Dollinger: I buy all my vinegar here. The selection is unbelievable. You can sample all oil and vinegar and you get a discount if you bring back your clean bottles to refill. There are always some samples of other products as well. The staff is very knowledgeable about all the products and provide recipes as well. There is also a military discount.

Kayla Lyn Carter: I’ve come across so many delicious items, great place to buy a nice gift as well!

Craig Carlson: Olive and Basket is the go to store not just for the wide variety of high quality oils and vinegars but many unique spices, rubs and sauces-not to mention the many gift items for the serious foodie.

Mediterranean Bakery Inc: what do users think?

Michael Zarnegar: Delicious Mediterranean / Lebanese food. Been visiting since I was a teen back in the day. The quality and the taste has always been why visit. One stop shop with groceries amd fresh daily made pastries. A mist try if you are in the area...

beyondTabu: Lots of choices in the grocery. They seem to be constantly busy. The take away kebab was ok’ish. The baklava was actually pretty good (which is what I initially wanted). I’ll try other food options next time.

Riskittles: The pastries are delicious! We tried the tomato and labne, spanokopita, and beef and labne options as well as some baklava. The pastries are served cold, but there were warm sandwich/pizza options that also looked delicious if you wanted a warm meal. While we were eating, they magically gave us free hummus and pita on the house! The hummus is very tahini-forward, which I love (we ended up buying a hub to take home as well).

Charlie Souvannavong: This is the only place I know of where I can get authentic Greek cheeses like Kefalotyri and other Greek ingredients. Most other Mediterranean shops will have Turkish and Persian products. If you are in need of authentic Greek products, this is the place to come to. Also, there is a kitchen counter for to go foods. The menu looks pretty good. I will have to give it a try another time. The selection of imports from the Mediterranean is great, and the staff is very friendly.

Dani Elle: Great little Mediterranean bakery located in the West End Village shopping center. I love their fresh pita, baked goods, and prepackaged, refrigerated foods. The cashier also wiped down the checkout conveyor belt between orders. Happy to have this West End neighborhood gem!

Paul Haire: This place is a classic and a much loved and apprecitated foodie mecca. It has every Middle Eastern delicacy, dessert and spice you could want. Authentic fresh pita. The sandwiches are delicious.

Hansei Kai: I would say the best middle east food I have ever tasted. The hummus is exceptional, along with the grape leaves, the bread. I even found baked kibbe delicious. You can eat there or pick up to go. Also the sweets are amazing. Big parking and also it is a supermarket. Fantastic worth the visit.
