Georgetown Olive Oil Co: what do users think?

Jessica Kalup: What an amazing place! Had a great tasting and buying experience. Definitely stop by of you're in DC and love to cook!

Valentina Aleksandrova: Great shop!Everything I tasted there was delicious, ended up bringing home a great variety of extra virgin olive oils, balsamic and some flavored oils too. Their 2oz bottles made great gifts for family and friends overseas. I will definitely be back next time I am in DC.

Димитър Мерджанов: Most interesting store we saw in Georgeown. I sampled so many different flavors. You have to visit and get something if you are around!

Katherine Bryant: Love this shop! Wonderful flavors, great service.

Daniel Roy: This is the only place I will buy olive oil and balsamic now! The olive oil and balsamic are top shelf stuff, and trust me, you will notice the difference immediately. If you're local, do yourself a favor and make an in-person visit. The store itself is beautiful and the staff is very inviting and helpful. Taste a few of their offerings and find out what you like. Then ask the staff for pairing suggestions, they won't let you down! We made our first purchase during a visit to DC and have made several online orders since. The online orders all arrived quickly and were securely packaged to protect the precious cargo. We've even given their products as gifts and have heard nothing but good things from the recipients. Overall, from service to the product itself, I've had nothing but great experiences with Georgetown Olive Oil Co!

Pavela Bambekova: I ABSOLUTELY love this store! I have been to the store at least 7 times in less than 2 months because there is so much to see, taste, and take home! I even brought my family to the store, and they were able to get their favorite flavors of olive oil and vinegar. The owners are very knowledgeable and experienced - they take their time to teach you about the different variety of oils and balsamic vinegars while you sip on the favors. There is much more than oil and vinegar, also! They have beautiful plates, bowls, and dishes; healthy and savory spices; delicious pasta; even olive oil based cosmetic products! From the moment you enter the store to time you leave, you will feel the healthy benefits all of the products the store have! This store is a gem for Georgetown!

hamza ijaz: Come here every few months to re-up on olive oil. They get fresh shipments from olive oil/ olive hubs all over the world every so often. The guy that runs the store is incredibly knowledgable about olive oil. Definitely the best store ive ever been to for olive oil. A quick google search shows you the benefits of olive oil and this place has the best of the best. My favorite infused one is the tuscany herb and you HAVE to get one with a high polyphenol count for the health benefits so i always walk out with atleast 3 bottles. One for the family and 2 for me

Elicia McHale: The Georgetown Olive Oil Co. is a charming and friendly local shop with unique and high quality olive oil & balsamic vinegar products. The spacious storefront in Georgetown is warm and inviting. The shop is meticulously lined with canisters of different oils and balsamic for customers to sample freely. It offers salts, cruets, Handmade pottery and skincare products. They also have charming gift sets perfect for countless occasions. The owners Hristina and Emil are very friendly and provide a fun shopping experience while sharing their extensive product knowledge. I also utilize the website to have products shipped. It's easy to navigate and even has interesting blogs, recipes and a rewards program for return customers!

Samantha Owens: Beautiful local shop offering high quality olive oils and vinegars (they also have salts, rubs, gifts and more). One of my favorite places in Georgetown. Never felt pressured to buy and one can sample almost everything in the store. Knowledgable staff, excellent customer service.

Jaime K: Discovered this shop during a recent trip to DC. I am simply amazed.Beautiful place, extremely pleasant staff and delicious products.I learned a lot about fresh olive oil (and purchased a lot to bring home, wish I lived in the area to go back for refills). They have over 60 (if I counted right) different oils and vinegars. The staff is very knowledgeable and very kind, and the space smells really nice! You are a great experience guys! Thank you all.

Georgetown Olive Oil Co: what do users think?

Ivy Stamatova: This is by far the most interesting shop in the National Harbor. I tried so many interesting flavors of olive oil and balsamic and settled on Pesto olive oil and Truffle balsamic. They also ship. Very convenient to buy is you are traveling. I’m so excited to try them when I get home!

Peggy Vintage: Beautiful local shop with High Quality Products. The staff is Friendly and eager to help customers choose the perfect oil and vinegar pairings. The store is easy to navigate and allows you to sample the products. This allows for you to purchase whatever suits you. The store is also environmentally conscious. They reward their customers with a discount for returning the previously purchased bottles to the store.

Darran Smith: good selection of oils, great selection of vinegars, comparable prices. friendly staff that knows their products and have great ideas how to use them. I love that you can take your empty bottles in for a refill and even get a discount for doing so.

Jaime K: I have to share my amazing experience in this location too.I discovered the company during my recent trip to the US.Wandered in their DC store first and then two days later discovered them in national harbor too. I ended up signing up for their Olive Oil Class and was blown away from everything I learned about olive oil and vinegar.I thought their employees in the dc shop were very knowledgeable, that`s until I met the owners in this location and now I wonder how could one possibly know so much about olive oil.But to wrap it up: the staff is delightful and attentive, products are delicious and all natural,I counted over 50 different oils and vinegars (very impressive selection to me) and they also have extra virgin olive oil from my native Australia.I think prices are really good for such high quality products. Couldn't`t resist and ended up buying the aged limited reserve balsamic from this location.Another great experience.Thank you all.

Mikkel Frimer-Rasmussen: Great place flavored for olive oil and vinegar with a huge range of flavours. You can try most of them on the shop. Most of the oil is European. The staff is friendly and helpful, but can't tell you much more than what the label days

Ashley Dier: Customer service at this location is phenomenal! I came in 10 minutes to closing and the lady behind the counter was still able to help me out and show me the different oils. 10/10 would come back here, both for the service and the products, which are delicious.

Marlene Merriweather: Georgetown Olive Oil Co. has some of the most unique flavors of oils and vinegars. The prices are reasonable and customer service is great. I'm a long time fan of this establishment!

Petar Tanakov: The different kinds of olive oil have a great taste. The balsamic olive oil has a unique flavor. It is my favorite. I highly recommend this place.

Hristo Deyanov: I just visited this store. I got a bottle of white truffle oil and it is delicious! Definitely visit if you are in the National Harbor.

Natalie Thomas: A gem for foodies who love cooking with delicious flavors. These oil & vinegar combinations make it easy-peazy.

Olio2go: what do users think?

Barbara Wadley-Young: I visited the store and was surprised by the variety of interesting items on display. I wanted to stay longer and look at every item but didn’t have the time. The website was helpful. I ended up purchasing more than 40 items for our staff for the holidays and that really appreciated the uniqueness of the gifts. The store’s staff was very helpful to ensure that I had the bags and tissue paper that I needed for each item. I highly recommend the products.
Response: Thank you so much!

Cindy Shea: I have been buying from Olio2go for 10 years. Their products are absolutely the best but as important, customer service is exceptional. If there is a problem, the manager resolves it quickly and with absolute transparency. Everything is professionally packed and shipping is prompt. No complaints about Olio2go.

Eryka Silva: What friendly set of people here!!!! On top of all, fantastic products. I drove 70 miles and did not disappoint! Today was their first day open since Covid. Very safe policies in place too. As I am waiting outside, one of the employees gave me a bottle of water. How thoughtful!!!! May sounds nothing, but during those crises, crazy days, it's always refreshing to have people that care about one another around.
Response: Thank you so much!

Richard Lester: This is undoubtedly the premier website for high quality Italian food imports. The signature product, olive oil ,is offered with more selections than I have seen anywhere. The accurate descriptive explanations allow one to perfectly identify and fulfill one's specific flavor profile. And they are always the first to offer the amazing OLIO NOVELLO!! It is worth your time to crawl through the website and view the various esoteric selections that they offer.Awesome staff, prompt service ,personal attention!!!

iliana Angelina: The website misinforms, it is old and outdated as its manager/ boss. I had the opportunity to speak with the manager about my order and She wasn’t able to hear my concerns, or to understand me or to empathize with me. She very rude and aggressive. Rudely she informs me that while she is in the phone with me she is putting my order items in the shelves to be sold. Without asking me if I will proceed with my order or not. (SO Wrong) Very unprofessional. Dreadful customer service, the product is good but you can find it elsewhere.
Response: You ordered for store pickup, but did not come to pick up the order. We tried multiple times to reach you, but you did not return our calls, and did not read our emails. When you called the store today you asked for free shipping. I am sorry that you found our customer service unacceptable. The website is not out of date.

Anita and Roger Lowen: Excellent products and a fantastic nondairy chocolate spread which has been a perfect gift anyone and especially for some vegan friends.

John Thompson: Great selection of olive oils! Prices are competitive. Plus, super fast shipping and well packaged. What's not to love?

Karen Weinberger: Everything you could possibly want in not only Italian olive oil but in many other "alimentari " are in this fabulous store located in a nondescript small strip mall Pasta making classes are occasionally offered too Luanne 's expertise in olive oil is fantastic and she's happy to share great recipes too. I love this store.
Response: Thank you for the review!

Svetlana Lugovaya: Amazing products! Unforgettable customer service!!!

Kushal “Kush” Gupta: Fantastic customer service!

A. Litteri: what do users think?

J Z: This review is only for the deli sandwiches. Got the 12” Italian classic at a pretty good price. It tasted good and the ingredients were fresh. Not that much difference or special from lots of other good sandwich places though. I would go again when I’m in the area, but not worth a special trip.

Michael Brown: My first time in A. Litteri I didn’t recall any music playing, but I was definitely humming Che La Luna while trying to find a good bottle of Vermentino - if there was ever a place to find one, the ceiling-high racks of imported Italian, Spanish and Portuguese wines in A. Litteri is where it will be, at least on this side of the Atlantic. To the back of the store, past the walls of imported pasta, olive oils, spices, and sauces are three large deli coolers with olives and cheeses on one side and meats on the other. There are menus and pencils for people to mark their choice of sandwich, choose toppings, etc. Being right next to Gualladet University, you can also mark if you’re deaf so they will bring you your sandwich instead of calling your name. We ordered chicken Parmesan and classic Italian sandwiches on soft rolls. The chicken parm was pressed into a panini and had just the right amount of sauce and melted cheese. The classic Italian was a paean dedicated to the perfect combination of capicola, Genoa salami, mortadella, prosciuttini, lettuce, tomato, onion, hot peppers and olive oil dressing. We ordered some cannolis, of course, and walked them back to my place to have a socially distanced lunch - with Louis Prima playing on the Alexa. My only regret was not ordering more. The Italian embassy may be somewhere else in DC, but Italy’s best ambassador is a little store called A. Litteri. (Out of five) Food: 5; Ambiance: 4.5; Value: 5; Service: 3 (the person at the counter in the back had some serious difficulty grating pecorino despite being asked five times).

Larry “Big Schlim” Mcleod: I stumbled on this spot after searching for another spot. Once I took a look at their menu & prices…immediately I thought, BIG SCHLIM LITE POCKET MEALS!! Abraham Tall: I'm not one to normally write a review, but I feel particularly compelled to do so with regards to A. Litteri. I first want to start off by commending the staff. I have never met a group of individuals that are so dedicated to their jobs, while completing their work with a smile and a laugh. There are great people here, who understand their customers needs and are always willing to provide assistance. They are professional, hard working, kind hearted, and just all around good people. I always leave with a smile on my face. Secondly, the A. Litteri's subs are incredible! It is my go to place for lunch on a daily basis during the work week. The quality of the meats and produce is top tier and very fresh, they put your order together in an efficient manner, and not to mention that they offer the cheapest sandwich in all of the Union Market area (also the best quality sandwich). I'll continue to get my lunch from A. Litteri for the foreseeable future and encourage all to check them out. You won't regret it :)

Henggao Cai: I highly recommend this place and definitely order online. A lot of the stuff here is imported from Italy.

Mel Jones: Unfortunately nothing seems the same regarding brick and mortar business these days. However, this place is still a pretty cool spot, a hidden secret when it comes to an authentic Italian deli. Authentic anything is hard to find in DC. Fresh meats, great subs, a variety of Italian delicacies and wines, a real throw back to days gone by.

Fernanda Lanzagorta: Big Italian market with wine, Italian products, homemade pasta dishes and tasteful Italian subs. Their selection of ingredients is fresh and diverse. Definitely a must if you are in the area.

Jorge Zurita-Coronado: Great selection of wine and even better sandwiches. Go here for lunch often and it always hits the spot. One of my favorite items is the meatball sub. Sauce is great and bread is perfectly toasted. Definitely a must try.

Basel K: The best Italian sandwiches in town. A.Litteri has great customer service and variety of goods to choose from. A must try if you're near the area.

bob millett: When I worked in DC - A Litteri was part of the office lunch rotation. From hot pasta and lasagna dishes in the colder months or delicious sandwiches year round. 5 stars is not enough for A Alitteri

The Mediterranean Way Gourmet Market: what do users think?

Gabriel Tavares: I couldn’t find what I was looking for, but the service was deserved at 5 stars, if they get there they will certainly be well attended...

dipika: There's a wide selection of oils, sauces, cheeses, and pastas here to help you host or gift a refined Mediterranean meal. They carry regional snacks that seem authentic too, plus a unique selection of wines from the region, which is a treat because DC doesn't typically embrace Greek wines for example. One thing that bugged me is when I asked if their bakery items had gelatin, and after a long pause the guy working there said "Yes, I decided not to lie to you about it" as if lying to me about something I don't eat was a valid option. So, basically I won't be back for anything that wasn't factory packaged.

Maximilian Bachmann: From gourmet chocolates to special pastas. Large wine selection featuring wines not found elsewhere. Sonor Wines America collection and Grapes & Vibes sparkling’s

J Foodgeek: It's a little pricey but they have a lot of interesting Mediterranean products. They also have a bunch of chocolate truffle-like products in the front of the store which I have not tried.

Jasmin Hollywood: This place has fabulous imported gourmet goods from various nations. I was able to find Tetramythos Greek wine for a reasonable price and sparkling Italian water.

Leona Stewart: They have everything you need to act like you cooked it.

Hannah Shabenas: The gentleman tending the shop was very nice! He gave my sister and I samples of two different jelly candies and some Italian crackers. The shop had a lot of interesting stuff, it reminded me of the shops we visited in Greece. Very neat!

Nash Stamson: Very cute store, good selection of Mediterranean food. Awesome oil and vinegar section. They were out of the exact cheese I wanted, but the friendly staff helped me find a good substitute. And for a specialty store, pretty affordable.

Evan Manuel: Great spot for Greek and Mediterranean food, wine and beer. Their Greek cheese selection is outstanding, and the Turkish and Greek spices are also stand outs. Of course, I mainly go for Greek Nescafé (to make frappes at home) and Greek chocolate. In addition to those Greek staples my wife also found a great prosecco there, too. A great store with equally friendly staff. Καταπληκτικώ!

Kathy L. Fortner: The Mediterranean Way did a fantastic job creating a most wonderful gift basket for professionals attending a National Conference this week in Washington, DC. Their interest, promptness in completing the request, and timeliness of delivering the gift was perfect! The recipients were so, so pleased!!!

Secolari Artisan Oils & Vinegars: what do users think?

Franklin Shearard: I cannot say how happy I was to find Secolari at Mary’s Land Farm in Ellicott City! I found so much more. The staff was awesome! Everyone was so helpful and kind! and Not only is Secolari there but farm raised meats, eggs (and DUCK EGGS) , veggies and even Ice Cream! ( yes Ice cream!) we’ve been there twice and now when we are in Clarksville going To Mary’s Land Farm and Secolari is a must. The olive oils and balsamic vinegars are AMAZING! My favorite of all is the Champagne Mimosa vinegar, it is a must! I tried the Dark Cherry Balsamic and made a dressing for my salad greens ( pictured below) also from Mary’s Land Farm was outrageously good! Another hidden gem 😀😍
Response: Thanks, Franklin!

Kat U: I received a gift card for Secolari from my in-laws. The pandemic happened and I did not use the card but it had no expiration date on it. When I drove out to the store yesterday, I was told it was an old card that they had no way of tracking therefore it was useless or "expired". The woman said she was one of the owners. It was for $100 and I will check with my in-laws about that and let them know what happened. Anyway, she obviously did not care about how this looks to a customer. Maybe she sized me and my daughter up as not the usual wealthy customer of these oils- can't say that isn't accurate as I don't buy overpriced oils. I would have gifted them and maybe they would have had more customers if my friends enjoyed them. As is they have this bad review and my telling people what a bad business model they have and to boycott the place.

Karen Corso: Five stars says it all! Two very discriminating friends recommended Secolari--many thanks, gentlemen! I owe you! My first order was massive--holiday gifts and some for me, too, and because I live within driving distance of the Secolari headquarters, the goods were personally delivered to my home, along with a variety of gift boxes. Shockingly good service. I've already reordered my favorites; also, some products I haven't yet tried. Hoping my experience will encourage others to try Secolari products, because they are pretty darn fabulous!
Response: Thanks Karen for the amazing feedback!

Opera Critic: I gave my order and credit card to the co-owner Maria on Saturday and she said she would email me a confirmation of my order and a copy of my charge receipt, and a tracking number of my shipment. It is now 5 days later, Thursday. I have received nothing.. I have called numerous times and sent numerous emails and no one has returned my calls and no one has answered my emails yet Secolari had not problem charging my credit card $104. I have to question the reliability and honesty of such a company and would never do any business with them again, as well as dispute the charge for non-receipt of merchandise paid for. You have been warned. This could happen to you also.

Sammy Stalter: I have had many issues with this company. Giving two stars ONLY because I like the oils enough. My most recent experience involved ordering 2 oils and one rub over 2 weeks ago. I sent emails inquiring about the status of the order and received no response. Finally arrived, one item short with a note saying they will not be restocking the item. Just terrible customer service, I should have been contacted right after placing the order to have this discussed. The order came way after Father’s Day which was the intention of ordering it back in May. So not only was it late for the occasion but it was an item short. Had i been contacted right away i could have made other gift plans for my father. Then they charged my card and did not reimburse me for the cost of the item, even though the note in the box additionally stated that they did. I have ordered from here at least 5 times and this will absolutely be my last. Customer service is so important and if they can’t get that down then I will happily support another small company who actually is looking to be a successful business. There are so many oil companies out there, this one does nothing to set themselves apart. In another bad circumstance... Last year I had ordered some oils as a Christmas gift for my brother and his wife, they sent it to the wrong address. I double checked and Secolari also confirmed that they had sent it to the wrong address by their mistake. It didn’t make it there for Christmas even though I had made the order in very early December. It’s just too many HUGE mistakes for me to even consider depending on a purchase from them. They have lost my business.
Response: Dear Ms. Stalter: We received your review and apologize for your inconvenience. It is our policy always to reach out to our online clients as soon as we know there is or could be a delay in shipping the order for any reason, and to timely respond to any and all inquiries -- evidently this was not done in this instance. As the owner, I am investigating this complete failure. By the same token, in fairness to our E commerce team, we did encounter a delay in receiving our Mantequilla Olive Oil, which I know contributed to the delay, and it just came to our attention that the manufacturer of our rubs ceased operations without fulfilling outstanding orders at the end of May. As to being charged for the rub, this item was deleted from the order, so we are surprised that you were in fact charged for the item. We have processed a refund check which you should receive within 7 days. Again, our apologies. Your expression of frustration is well deserved due to these failures and we certainly would like to go the extra mile to earn back your trust and patronage. Please let me know what we can do. Very truly yours, Barth X. deRosa, CEO SECOLARI

T. N Thomas: Great quality product! I have tried some of the oils; my favorite is the Blood Orange Olive Oil. I also enjoy the Peach Bourbon Jam. These make wonderful gifts for family and friends for the upcoming holidays or even birthdays.
Response: Thank you for your posting. We are so happy you are enjoying our products. Let us suggest that you try our Champagne Mimosa Vinegar with the Blood Orange Olive Oil, or our Basil Olive Oil with our Blackberry Balsamic. You will not be disappointed! Best, Barth X. deRosa, CEO SECOLARI

Marie Thrailkill: I buy Mantequilla Olive Oil regularly. I use it instead of butter on my popcorn. My go to olive oil for chicken is the Tandoori. I pair it with vindaloo spices, and it’s fabulous. For tuna or salmon, I like the lime olive oil. I highly recommend all of the Secolari products.
Response: Thanks, Marie!

Aimee Kathleen S.: Two years using these oils and vinegars, and it might sound nuts, but it was life changing! Best food-related change we've made in a decade for sure. Lemon oil in pancakes, Orange oil in brownies, lime oil on popcorn, endless combos of oil and vinegar for salad dressings, marinated in poultry and fish, mixed in with rice or quinoa - all of them are totally delicious and there's nothing like them!
Response: Thanks, Aimee for the feedback! Secolari never learned to compromise with the quality and never will. That's our promise to our faithful customers. Keep coming back!

Kelly G: The staff are amazingly helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. The vinegars and oils are high quality with a variety of delicious flavors. Allow extra time to explore and taste your way through the store.
Response: Thanks for the kind words, Kelly! Glad you enjoyed tasting your way through the store!

Sean Parker: If you want the best steak in the state come to this place. Their meats are amazing and fresh local produce as well.
Response: Thanks Sean for your feedback. Appreciate it.

Manassas Olive Oil Company: what do users think?

Jessica Wendt: Had a great experience today. My husband and I were in for the first time and felt welcomed right away from the beginning. Mrs Thomson is very knowledgeable and super nice. The selection on oils and vinegar they have is great. We will definitely be back and recommend this store to everyone in the area.
Response: Thank you Jessica for the review! I am happy you and your husband stopped by today! It was nice to meet you both and help you find what you were looking for! I hope you enjoy your Tuscan Herb olive oil and Espresso balsamic! Thanks again! :)

Kira Does Life: Have been getting oil from here for a few years, and willing to travel an hour to do it since I moved! Always have great help when we go, and love that we can bring the bottles back for refilling. Our most-loved oil is the rosemary olive oil. We cook with it more than anything else!
Response: Amazing oil is always worth a trip, and we're always happy to bring some your way! Whether you need some more rosemary olive oil or something new, we'll be here to help you out. Can't wait to see you back in! -Emily Thomson, Store Manager

Jeff Wilson: This is a great place! Taste to your heart’s content, but be warned — there is a lot to like here, and you might end up buying half of the store. We first were exposed to Manassas Olive Oil Company at a farmers market and then looked them up on line. We were so happy that they have a brick and mortar location right in Old Town Manassas!!! There is also an extensive vinegar selection here that is not to be overlooked. I love the butter flavored and the rosemary flavored olive oil. The pomegranate infused vinegar is to die for!!! The owner is delightful. The store atmosphere is clean, fresh and inviting. There is home made pottery made by Mom which is also of pretty good quality — good prices. I thought that some of the mugs were particularly good with appealing glazes and well designed handles. Not to miss!!!

Olive oil, vinegars, hot sauces, spices, olives, coffee, pickles, cheese, soap, and the list goes on! They have a very rewarding rewards program and the staff are the friendliest people you will ever meet. I will recommend this store to anyone who will listen, that's how great it is.

I built my own variety pack and I will definitely be back to replenish when my supply runs low.
Response: We are so glad you enjoyed your time with us. Thank you so much for your kind words - we appreciate it!

Trader Joe's: what do users think?

Khoi Nguyen: One of my favorite locations. Really busy but clean store, friendly staff and everything’s full stocked. Wide variety of frozen items, wine, produce and flowers. Very quick and efficient check out process. Even with a +20 person check out line it moved really quickly

Chaturbhuj bhojwani: Very clean excellent location, Great customer service, full of all kinds of merchandise.Good thing this location is not very busy.Fresh bread lots of variety of vegetables and other items.

River: Most pleasant grocery shopping experience. Very clean, personable, helpful and respectful staff and a great value! If you want to know professionalism, just make one visit. The only place to shop around this area! A sincere thank you to management and staff. AAA+++

Taahira Thompson: Everyone who works here is super nice. The service is great and the food selection is solid. The down side is that it’s hella crowded and the cart drop off situation sucks. If you get sensory overload maybe skip this location or go right at opening.

Amanda Dennis: Love the flowers; love that there are always helpful folks around to help if we need anything; love their produce! The lettuces I get here always last so much better than the stuff I get at Giant or Safeway! They've done a big rearrange lately and they seem to no longer carry a couple of my fav wines though! 😭

Shaushage G: Fast check out. Decent prices, good collection. Overall, TJ is my favorite grocery store

J Foodgeek: It can be busy after work, but it is a good trader Joe's. They do tend to run out of a lot of stuff though, but that may be partly how busy it is, and partly supply chain related.

David Finkelstein: Aside from free parking under the store they took care of an excessively long line very quickly by opening as many registers as possible. It explains why they have such a great reputation. Will definitely be going again soon.

Ruihai Youngblood: This trader joe's handles so much foot traffic in an incredibly small space-really impressive they manage to keep lines reasonable, shelves stock, and be super kind the whole time. I've, shopped here for four years instead of whole foods, harris teeter or safeway because TJ staff are super kind. They'll tell you when something will be back in stock instead of shrugging. They're super friendly at checkout instead of uncomfortable silence. They'll give you tips on the stuff you're buying. If you're a TJs employee at 14th & U reading this: you're awesome. If you're TJs management reading this: pay your people to take time off when they have COVID or have been exposed to it! I only shop here because your staff is healthy, kind, and seem to like their jobs.

Taylor V: This location has very decent prices and a steady stock of essentials. There are some staples missing from their usual repertoire, but with the proximity to other stores, this is easily addressed. I highly recommend shopping early in the day if you're able, or wait until after 6pm. 5pm is ridiculously busy.

Seasons Olive Oil & Vinegar Taproom Annapolis: what do users think?

Andrew Barzal: I used to come here and drink a lot of olive oil and vinegar. Never knew there could be all these different flavors, I thought they were surprisingly good. But if you're into that sort of thing or maybe live on a chateau or something, this would probably be right up your alley. Also, these bottles of olive oil and balsamic vinegar make great gifts for those friends who have like a "sophisticated taste", or a cosmopolitan air to them. Trust me, they'll love it. Probably a good gift for Europeans too.
Response: Thank you, Andrew! We are so happy you enjoyed our products 😊

ms. J: We had a great experience and a privilege to meet Chef Charlie he showed lots of flavor and combinations of olive oils and balsamic vinegar. Highly recommended place to visit in Annapolis MD.
Response: Thank you very much for shopping with us!

Lori Idol: The people in the store were very helpful. We had never been to an olive oil store before. This made our experience a good one. We like the olive oil we purchased and will be purchasing more in the future.
Response: Thank you! We are glad you enjoyed your visit 💚

Kevin Xu: Wide variety of vinegars and olive oils and spices. Vinegars and olive oils can be sampled to find the perfect combination for your meals, and the owner is extremely attentive and thoughtful on making suggestions for your needs. A really nice shopping experience, like having sommelier helping guide you through the variety to the stuff you're excited to try at home
Response: Thank you for shopping with us!

A E Culver: It was our first visit. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We got to sample a bunch of olive oils and vinegars. We ended up taking advantage of their deal to buy four large bottles of vinegar for a free smaller bottle of olive oil. We're looking forward to using them in our future meals/salads!!
Response: We are so glad you enjoyed your time in our shop, and we look forward to your next visit!

Berel Dubov: Just picked up some classic balsamic vinegar from there, this place is absolute best!
Response: Thank you! We are so glad you enjoyed your visit!

Travis Zeeler: Awesome place! Tarren(sp) is very knowledgeable and eager to help. Even with everything going on, she has made it easy to sample and shop. The 18 year balsamic is amazing for all kinds of recipes as well as my favorite, Tuscan infused olive oil.

Elizabeth Masoud: Wonderful customer service, the staff was very knowledgeable. You can taste everything they sell in store.
Response: Thank you for shopping with us!

Mike O'Neill: We were so pleased to stumble across this shop. Lot's of places now have oil and vinegar tastings, but absolutely everything here was available to try. In fact, when a pinot grigio vinegar ran out, one of the friendly staff quickly opened up another bottle for us. We ended up going with a red vinegar instead and I've really enjoyed using it in my cooking. You could honestly spend all day in this place and feel good about it. Keep up the great work!

A Androh: Wasn't really shopping but I found both an oil and jelly that truly interested me. The staff is great very helpful at pointing towards flavors. They are friendly. They also have sampling which allows you to know what you are purchasing. The prices are very reasonable.

Potomac Gourmet Market: what do users think?

kathy brosnan: Stay away!!!!! I ordered a buttered roll…..was asked if I would like a Kaiser roll…..and toasted, said no thank you just buttered please Got an eye roll from the older male clerk……maybe that isn’t something that is ordered in Maryland Had to pay extra for the butter that was supposed to be included. Got a dry hamburger bun……doesn’t look like Kaiser roll to me!!!! Stay away!!!!! Terrible
Response: Kathy, sorry to hear that your experience with us did not quite live up to expectations. We always want to make sure that our customers are receiving exactly what they ordered, and we apologize that we missed the mark for you. We're hoping that you'll give us another chance in the future to make it up to you. -Potomac Gourmet Market

Joey Benoit: Prices were better than most other places downtown. 1/2-1/3 the prices of the Gaylord commissary. Decent alcohol selection and desserts. Service offered quarter and double extra meat for my sandwich and recommended napkins. I wasn't sure where to order or pay at first. There is zero signage. It's nice to find a local market in the harbor though. Would eat here again.

Jonathan Walker: What wonderful, outstanding, and excellent customer service from Mr. Jackson and his quick and stellar team at the market. I was welcomed and provided with amazing customer care and knowledge for my order. I was very impressed and I felt so well taken care of, especially his attention to each and every customer
Response: Jonathan, personalized attention and care is something that you can always expect when you visit us! It was truly a pleasure to have you. Our friendly team will always make sure you're taken care of. Hoping to see you again sometime soon! -Potomac Gourmet Market

Nakia Coleman: Prices are astronomical, food is mediocre and the African American gentlemen who works there is obnoxious and annoying, you can't just come in and get your food without dealing with this guys annoyance. Went in for breakfast and asked a question if they take phone orders and this guys continued annoyance again, he can never just answer a question and keep moving, he created an issue. My staff no longer patronizes there because of multiple instances with him. Do yourself a favor and drive 10 more minutes for better customer service , prices and food!
Response: Nakia, we apologize that your experience with us did not quite meet expectations. Our customer service is something that we hang our hats on, so we're sorry that we missed the mark for you. We hope that you'll give us another shot in the future to make it up to you. -Potomac Gourmet Market

Bree M.: Great place to get breakfast!
Response: Thank you for all your support, Ikari! Hoping we'll see you back our way again soon. -Potomac Gourmet Market

Michael Bielski: Quirky little market that has most of the stuff that the CVS across the street doesn't, including a very large selection of adult beverages. That section probably takes up 3/8 of the store. Whatevs, the bananas looked way better than what CVS had, and they actually had cuts of meat. Yep, we'll be back there again.

Garner Overton: Potomac Gourmet Market was an adorable bodega. It has a wide variety in the market including wine, beer, snacks, cheese, deli meats, ice cream, and some fresh produce. Their hot breakfast sandwiches until noon which were delicious! They also have lunch and dinner options. The staff was very kind and helpful. The staff said the market was much more crowded on the weekend mornings than it was on weekdays. Would 100% visit here again!
Response: We're so pleased you enjoyed our helpful team and delicious breakfast sandwiches, Garner! Thank you for taking a moment to leave this great review! We'd love to welcome you back again whenever you're around. -Potomac Gourmet Market

Howard Smith: The French toast platter (French toast, turkey bacon and scrambled eggs) and sausage cheese croissant were excellent! The cook behind the counter took our order and then called the number of our order when it was ready, he was also nice and friendly.
Response: We're glad you enjoyed your breakfast with us, Howard -- thank you for stopping by! We really appreciate the kind words about our food and friendly staff. Hope to see you again soon! -Potomac Gourmet Market

F Simp: Not your typical grocery store or market, but very convenient for visitors and residents living in the National Harbor community. The food at the Deli is always prepared fresh and delicious and the store manager, Curtis, is very pleasant and courteous to all of his customers. Don't be disappointed if there isn't something in the market that you need, just notify the store manager and he will work diligently to ensure that for your next visit/stop, the market will have what you need.
Response: When it comes to foods you love, we all know fresh is the best. You can always expect delicious food at our market. Our team can't wait to see you again soon. Take care. -Potomac Gourmet Market

Matt: Cool little spot for grocery's or a bite to eat. Serving size was a little small compared to some other places but the food was all good.
Response: Matt, whether you're here for groceries or a meal, you'll always be welcomed with a smile! Happy to hear that all the food was so tasty. We hope we'll be seeing you again sometime soon! -Potomac Gourmet Market

Trader Joe's: what do users think?

CM F.: This is a very new store. It's clean, spacious, easy parking without time limit, so I enjoyed taking my time explore this store. It has all the stocks that I am familiar and desired. Including the best ice cream! I have visited countless TJ stores in LA, NY, DC, and used to live next door of a TJ as my preferred choice. This one is one of the very best. I highly recommend. It's been a while before my last visit due to Covid sheltered at home. This is still my favorite, and food stocks are even better!

Natalia Suska: Best grocery store in the area! It has the cheapest prices in Georgetown because they do not price surge based on location, like Safeway does. The staff are all really nice and helpful too.

Alex Navarro: Great store. Not enough variety for me to shop there exclusively, but I do love many of their items enough to make a special trip. The service from the staff is always excellent. As with all Trader Joe’s, the parking can be a nightmare. Too many spots jammed in.

Duncan Bishop: Typical TJ's grocery store. Not too much to say. The checkout lines can be a bit long sometime since they're not fully staffed but that's okay. Good selection of wine as usual and the beer options are pretty good.

Lillian Bauer: I visited Monday 03/21/22 around 4:30 pm! Got all my groceries, but unfortunately the woman packed my bags too heavy. I figured my car’s around the corner - I’ll be ok. Well, I was wrong all my items broke through the bag on the sidewalk. Of course all the eggs broke:( I set them aside, picked up my groceries and went to my car before another bag broke. A young brunette woman saw me, ran to my car and offered to run inside and get the items that broke! She was on parking duty. I wish I got her name but let me just say - what a wonderful person!!! This store is beyond lucky to have her!

Maribel Jimeno: The bestTrader Joes in DC. they are increasingly adding more and more fresh unpacked produced which is nice. If only they had more variety of fish and meats, this store would be perfect.

paula douglas seidel: This is my favorite Trader Joe's in the area. Great parking. The store is bigger than others and always efficient!!!! Great selections of flowers too!

Peyton Doyle: Favorite Trader Joe's in the DC area, hands down. 14th Street and Bethesda are chaos compared to this. There is dedicated parking underneath (which you can actually navigate). It is also brand new and exceptionally spacious. There is also a larger selection of items available here than other Trader Joe's. I will certainly return.

YOUNG-i The GOD: Great customer service goes a long way. Always clean, lines get long but move fast, and they of course have some of the best produce and vegan products on the market. And I don’t think anyone beats their wine prices!

DC Explorer: I know I'm in the minority, but I never understood the enthusiasm about Trader Joe's. So I asked some friends. One likes the variety and price of produce. The other likes the wines and ready-made items. I'm drawn to the international foods but they aren't the healthiest. So I see lots of things that look delicious but I have to pass on most of them. So, for me, it's a great place for an occassional, unique treat. To each his/her/their own. I also have to praise the cashiers---excellent service.

Olive & Basket: what do users think?

Linda Flowers: Hi. Have been meaning to write to you guys to let you know how how pleased I was with you back in December when I ordered the basket for my daughter and son in law. You were so helpful and went out of your way to make sure they would be happy with the products, and to make sure their Christmas gift was on time.. and delivered by your hudband!! Thank him for me! They were happy and pleased with what was in the gift box. And beautifully done. They love your place! Once again.. thank you for putting a smile on my face and theirs..P .S my daughter loves the small wisks! Happy New Years to you and your staff! Till next time! Linda.. from Cleveland Ohio
Response: Hello! Thank you for your kind words—and most importantly I am so happy your family loved everything! I hope you can visit us in the future. Thank you again for sharing our products with your family!

Allison J: Went in this afternoon and was the only customer, which turned out to be a blessing in disguise! The women working were so warm and helpful, going through each section of the store and letting me sample the vinegars/oils so I knew when I was getting. They left me alone to browse and shop which was really refreshing but then were so attentive when I had questions! I will absolutely be going back to pick up more gifts in the future!
Response: Allison, thank you so much for your 5 star review! All of us here at Olive & Basket appreciate it very much. We hope to see you soon!

Rob Coulter: Perfect place for all of your culinary complements - wide array of oils & vinegars
Response: Thank you for your kind words and we hope to see you soon!

Marie Mayhew: The owner is awesome! She gives so many tips on using the products. Such care and attention is so refreshing. Support this business!
Response: ❤️Thank you so much! Your kind words make us so happy! I hope to see soon 😊

Kevin Buckley: This is a wonderful store and has hands down the best customer service you will ever experience. Having never stepped foot inside of a store like this, my fiance and I were greeted in a very friendly manner, and were immediately asked what we might be seeking. After informing them that we were looking for party favors for our wedding, the friendly staff helped walk us through the world of oils and vinegars ( there are so many that it can be overwhelming without a guide). After coming to a decision and choosing the favors we wanted, the service at this store just continued to grow, they offered to wrap the favors together for our guests and even tied them all together with a wonderful bow. To top it all off, they offered recipe cards that could be added to the gifts, so that our guests could make amazing foods out of it. Words cannot express how amazing, helpful and friendly everyone was that we interacted with. We will be eternally grateful for their help in making our wedding day one for our guests and us, to remember!
Response: Thank you so much for your kind comments! We so appreciate your business and spreading the word about our little shop. Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!

Luz Fitts: Been passing by this place for a few months now. So glad we finally popped in! They have a great variety of Oils and vinegars, but my favorite is the selection on the different salts and seasonings! We bought their Everything Bagel Seasoning and the Ghost Pepper sea salt. Both are delicious. Not to mention the customer service was excellent! We can’t wait to go back!
Response: Thank you so much! We are so glad you did stop in and hope to see you soon! Again thank you for your kind words!

Kimberly Dollinger: I buy all my vinegar here. The selection is unbelievable. You can sample all oil and vinegar and you get a discount if you bring back your clean bottles to refill. There are always some samples of other products as well. The staff is very knowledgeable about all the products and provide recipes as well. There is also a military discount.
Response: Kimberly thank you so much for your kind words! We hope to see you soon!

Kayla Lyn Carter: I’ve come across so many delicious items, great place to buy a nice gift as well!
Response: I appreciate your kind words! It's true, we're a great place for gifts!

I Am Me: I have been wandering in for years... They are friendly and super helpful with flavour suggestions. I use the vinegar in tea and honey infusions and it helps to pick someone else's brain about taste combinations. Sometimes I buy like 5 bottles of vinegar, sometimes none but the service remains the same. Even if they KNOW you aren't buying [because you are just there to look] they STILL give you 5 star attention.... I've been to other places in the DMV but few rival their attentiveness.
Response: Oh my gosh! Thank you 🙏 so much for your kind words! We work very hard to make everyone feel welcome and comfortable. We know it can be a little overwhelming in our shop because of the number of items we have but we are there to help you! Again thank you for taking the time to write such a wonderful review!

Craig Carlson: Olive and Basket is the go to store not just for the wide variety of high quality oils and vinegars but many unique spices, rubs and sauces-not to mention the many gift items for the serious foodie.
Response: Thank you 😊

Mediterranean Bakery Inc: what do users think?

Michael Zarnegar: Delicious Mediterranean / Lebanese food. Been visiting since I was a teen back in the day. The quality and the taste has always been why visit. One stop shop with groceries amd fresh daily made pastries. A mist try if you are in the area...

beyondTabu: Lots of choices in the grocery. They seem to be constantly busy. The take away kebab was ok’ish. The baklava was actually pretty good (which is what I initially wanted). I’ll try other food options next time.
Response: Thank you for the review! I'm glad you enjoyed our baklava, but our apologies that the kebob wasn't as good. If you're looking for a recommendations -- I think the Zaatar & Lebne pizza (manaeesh) is excellent, and if you add olives as a topping, it's amazing :-)

Riskittles: The pastries are delicious! We tried the tomato and labne, spanokopita, and beef and labne options as well as some baklava. The pastries are served cold, but there were warm sandwich/pizza options that also looked delicious if you wanted a warm meal. While we were eating, they magically gave us free hummus and pita on the house! The hummus is very tahini-forward, which I love (we ended up buying a hub to take home as well).

Clarence A Ratliff Jr. (METALFNGRZ88): The Falafel sandwiches and the pastries are incredibly delicious. Like a best kept secret on the west end, if I wasn't living so close to it I might never stopped in to try it. I've had their Turkish coffee as well, but I'm not sure what good coffee taste like so I'm not gonna front. I did feel like a ten year old sipping a tea cup but I'm thinking that's part of the Experience. I dunno, lemme go run this by no one and get back to you. Food A++ though.

Charlie Souvannavong: This is the only place I know of where I can get authentic Greek cheeses like Kefalotyri and other Greek ingredients. Most other Mediterranean shops will have Turkish and Persian products. If you are in need of authentic Greek products, this is the place to come to. Also, there is a kitchen counter for to go foods. The menu looks pretty good. I will have to give it a try another time. The selection of imports from the Mediterranean is great, and the staff is very friendly.

Joan DeCoste: Wonderful place. The tabouli is the best I've had. The stuffed cabbage is delicious. The Syrian bread is authentic. The staff is friendly and helpful. I've been coming here for 30 years and the food is always reliably great!

Dani Elle: Great little Mediterranean bakery located in the West End Village shopping center. I love their fresh pita, baked goods, and prepackaged, refrigerated foods. The cashier also wiped down the checkout conveyor belt between orders. Happy to have this West End neighborhood gem!

Paul Haire: This place is a classic and a much loved and apprecitated foodie mecca. It has every Middle Eastern delicacy, dessert and spice you could want. Authentic fresh pita. The sandwiches are delicious.

Jen Castro: I ordered the Chicken Gyro and Falafel Platter. It was okay.
Response: Hi, Jen. Thank you for the review. I'm sorry that your food was just okay. From the picture you posted, I know we should have given you more veggies on the platter. I'll talk to the cooks about that. Is there anything else we could do to improve?

Hansei Kai: I would say the best middle east food I have ever tasted. The hummus is exceptional, along with the grape leaves, the bread. I even found baked kibbe delicious. You can eat there or pick up to go. Also the sweets are amazing. Big parking and also it is a supermarket. Fantastic worth the visit.
