Sensational Kids Therapy: what do users think?

Daniela and Marcelo Zapata Ochoa: We cannot be happier with the PT services our daughter is receiving at Sensational Kids Therapy. After one year of PT with Dr. Terryl Rosenberg, our daughter has improved her motor skills and developed a self confidence in her body beyond what we thought was possible. Terryl has not only helped our daughter with her gross motor skills, but she has also provided us with numerous strategies to help our daughter, which has made us better parents. Terryl is very knowledgable about the latest research and treatments, which has helped us reach out to the right specialists and allowed us to have informed conversations about diagnosis and treatment options with doctors. With her guidance, we were able to be effective advocates for our daughter. If you are looking for an experienced and very knowledgable PT who is is also compassionate and kind with the whole family, then we recommend you to ask for Dr. Terryl Rosenberg at Sensational Kids. You will not be disappointed.

syed nawaz: Needs to improve a lot..!!!

RootedinDC: what do users think?

Elizabeth Berg: Rooted has had such a positive impact on my daughter. I can’t recommend Mya enough. Her nature therapy platform is dynamic and unique. She has helped my daughter with chronic stress (tummy aches and headaches), with core strength, gross and fine motor skills, and so much more. She is also incredibly attentive and makes an effort to personalize the experience depending on the child’s needs. She’s responsive, informative, and supportive. I’m so grateful I found this amazing program.

Triumph Therapeutics: what do users think?

Jill Brafford: We had a great experience at Triumph with our son who made great improvements over the 3 months we were engaged in occupational therapy. His grasp pattern, his ability to cut, and his sitting posture all improved since the initial evaluation. We especially loved the owner (Dr. Omololu) and his therapist, Jasmine. Thanks for all of the help and encouragement you gave us through this process!

Lillian Hardy: I would recommend Triumph to anyone! Lu and his team are fantastic from intake through therapeutic services and are just the sort of people you want to run into if you are sorting through a sensitive issue like a challenge with your child. I called Triumph alongside several options in the community and it was a very easy choice. Ivan, the intake professional, was kind and supportive and the owner, Lu, was equally so. He took the time to call me and determine our needs and he really went the extra mile to create a plan that worked for our family including in-home services. This was extremely critical for us in the context of the pandemic. Finally and probably most importantly, our kid looooves working with the team. They know how to use play-based methods to make everything so fun, that he has no clue he is in therapy or doing hard exercise. He gets excited about doing it and never shows that same level of cooperation for us. I look forward to continuing our work with Triumph.

Deb F: Very happy with my experience at Alliance PT and I would definitely recommend them. I worked with Bianca, Autumn, Avisha & Andrew who all helped get rid of my pain! They all knew what they were doing! Everyone was professional, nice and friendly, including all the assistants and office staff. They are obviously all happy to work there which is always a good sign.

District Speech and Language Therapy: what do users think?

Sarah Parker: My 3 year old son started at District Speech about 18 months ago to address his language delay. Both of the therapists he worked with, first Anna Carr and then Lee Morra, were excellent. Once he started catching up on language, Lee began addressing his speech delay. He was extremely knowledgeable and gave me great tips and tools to practice with my son at home. My son absolutely loved going to every biweekly session he had with both Anna and Lee, and they both made it a very play-based approach. I was so proud and grateful when his latest assessment showed that he is now hitting all his age appropriate milestones for both speech and language! I also want to call out Katie Nelson, the Operations Manager, who does an amazing job managing all the billing and scheduling. She was always extremely helpful and responsive to all my billing questions and was very responsive and detail-oriented. Thank you District Speech!

A. L.: I had the pleasure working on my expressive disorder in a virtual setting with Lee. He is very personable and knowledgeable and has helped me with organizing my thoughts to overcome this problem. Also, Katie was super helpful in scheduling me for an immediate appointment with a therapist. I highly recommend anyone looking for professional and prompt service to this center!

NRH Rehabilitation Network at Chevy Chase - North: what do users think?

Gurushri Swamy: What I really liked about the NRH at aChevy Chase was the way Cody dealt with my special problem — cervical dystonia. After listening carefully to my description of how the dystonia was affecting my life, he quie honestly said he was not trained to deal with Dystonia, he was an orthopedic therapist and what he could offer me was strengthening exercises, and we started with those. Further, and this is what I truly appreciate is that he looked into the NRH directory and identified a RPT who deals with movement disorders, talked to her and put me in touch with her. As a result, I have found the right kind of therapist for my problem. Thank you Cody

Warren Poland: I have had the regrettable need to have physical therapy a few times in my now elderly life. My experience with NRH Rehab at Chevy Chase - North and with the therapist, Todd Wheeler, has been outstandingly thoughtful in individualizing the specific exercises I needed, in making clear by demonstration, paper description, and email video the precise ways the exercises are to be done. Very individualized and very helpful.

Concentra Urgent Care: what do users think?

Cristian Santos: This place is so unorganized, starting from the Front Desk. Andrea Garcia is so incompetent, careless, and no sympathy for anyone whatsoever. Steer clear from her, or request to speak to someone else. This place is god awful and I only went because my job sent me here and my mothers job sent her here for a test. The medical staff in the back were drawing blood and even forgot to label my sample…. We had to remind them. Be aware when you go here, stay alert and don’t go here unless you really have to. These people are in healthcare, but do not care about you and you are just another patient walking through. They act like its a bother that you walk in, avoid at all costs.

Andrea Boudreaux: The staff here lacks all compassion. We are all short staffed. Taking that out on patients is unacceptable. I waited for almost 6 hours to be seen after being told it was a 2 hour wait. They “marked” me in 90 minutes after my arrival, thus pushing me back even longer. They did not enforce mask wearing in the waiting room. The physician was EXTREMELY rude and made my experience worse. As a fellow doctor, I was appalled by his behavior. Then to make matters worse, the front desk staff started talking in Spanish when I was seeking assistance. I speak Spanish, but that was completely inappropriate. They spoke negatively about me, and dismissed my needs! I will never return here and have made my organization aware of this to ensure that we no longer use this facility for our staff.

Concentra Urgent Care: what do users think?

Dibe Djonret: Sarina was really professional and great with drawing blood. Thank you all for everything you do!

Jenelle Westerlund: I came to this location expecting an EKG for some suspicious chest pains. I spoke to the Dr. Who said they do EKG’s but do not evaluate the results in relation to a cold (I was getting over a cold). I really had no idea how that made sense, but they gave me my information and told me to find somewhere else. I asked the front desk if the had a referral and the woman said “referral?! I don’t know- you can go to an urgent care”. I resisted from asking ‘why do you have a large sign out front saying this is an urgent care when if it’s not”. Maybe this place is fine for very basic things, but this is the first and last time I will come here.

Kaiser Permanente Lanham Rehabilitation Center: what do users think?

Pam E: I am very impressed with Kaiser vaccination clinic in Lanham. I have been a member since 1983 and have witnessed a lot of improvements over the years. This was a well organized process that flowed beautifully. It did not take long to register or get the shot. Kudos to my KP family in Lanham.

Faith Hunter: I just received my first vaccine here at the Kaiser Permanente COVID-19 vaccination clinic in Lanham. The experience was excellent. There was no wait time. I was escorted from one place to the next by kind, courteous staff members. I never wondered where next to go. The area is extremely clean and set up to be physically distant. The vaccination nurse was very friendly. And my second appointment was made even before I received the vaccine. I would strongly recommend this facility.

LifeBridge Health Physical Therapy: what do users think?

Glen Hadden: This is an outstanding group of caring professionals. They care about your progress and well being . Marie is welcoming as you enter and she keeps all the paperwork on point . Keri takes her time to evaluate your physical needs and helps you define your treatment goals. She doesn’t sugar coat anything but she’s encouraging, supporting and coaching you be in charge of your care . Alicia is very kind and she follows your care plan to the letter and it’s that consistency of treatment that makes this a very special group . You can feel positive energy in the room and we become a group and you laugh and when I have to go to my happy place to endure the very painful parts of treatment … I hear the gentle tones of their voice and i know I can get through it .

Pete Bayles: I have been working on getting my wrists back to normal after falling off a ladder and breaking both wrists. I really thought it was going to be impossible to get back to somewhat normal after 9 screws and 1 plate in each wrist. Barbara has been great and I am getting my strength back. They have been great with my schedule and very accommodating.

Frank Mastoris: It was busy. The staff was very friendly. The staff was pleasant and I was able to get through everything fairly quickly even though it was walk in and not an appointment.

Vicki Lewis: I would like to give it 0 stars. It should have not taken four hours. I got thier at 1245 and did not leave until 4pm. So basically I waited 31/2 hours. Once I got to the back it only took a half hour to do what needed to be done. They really need a better system. No consideration for people time.

Children's National Hospital: what do users think?

Andrew Kamischke: The Emergency room wait was approximately 4 hours before our name was called to go to a bed. The nurse who called our name said that we were waiting for the room to be cleaned so we were taken to another waiting room. Shortly after that a doctor came to the waiting room and conducted a patient assessment while on the hallway. No effort was made to discuss health information in private going against HIPAA. All of the test done and samples collected were in the waiting room. We seemed to be an after thought to the staff. After about another 4 hours never seeing the inside of a room we were sent home to wait for the results of the test. If a staffing shortage is a problem I’ll gladly clean my own room for free to have that privacy and a bed for my child to lay down instead of the waiting room floor.

Dannielle White: This hospital has literally saved my son’s life 3 times. He has 2 breathing disorders and has spent most his life in this hospital. His surgeon (Dr. Pamela Mudd) and her team are amazing! All the nurses and doctors we’ve had with the exception of one have been awesome! The one doctor that was an issue has been blocked from ever handling my sons care. The nurses and other doctors were very helpful and handling the situation.
