Capitol Nutrition Group: what do users think?

Christi Myrup: I started private counseling with Rebecca shortly after reading Body Kindness. I had been diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes and found myself engaging in disordered eating behaviors. What I didn't realize at the time was that I had an undiagnosed eating disorder and I had had it for most of my life. As someone with a significant trauma history, getting medical help is difficult. Rebecca was the first person besides my therapist that I felt comfortable disclosing my trauma history to. Not only is she a trauma informed practitioner, she is also compassionate, kind and supportive. Rebecca helped me understand my diabetes diagnosis and taught me that losing weight is not the only treatment option. Because she is trauma informed, she has been able to help me find connections between my eating disorder and my trauma history. As an added bonus, my work with Rebecca is grounded in the Body Kindness philosophy which directly aligns with my values. With Rebecca's help, I've learned new coping skills and how to advocate for myself.

violet spring: I immediately knew this was a waste of $400. It's ironic to spend more on trying not to diet than I did when I did diet. The paperwork needs to be updated -- I wasted time by logging my food and printing lab work. We didn't talk about nutrition. When I mentioned this she said she feels most dieters know how to eat. I see the point she was trying to make but that's not what I needed. You can save a lot of money by just reading her book.

Washington Nutrition & Counseling Group: what do users think?

James Dalton: I had a great experience working with Christine at Washington Nutrition. We went over my DEXA scan information with a clear game plan for how to get started in targeting dangerous abdominal fat and a meal plan that was achievable, specific and time-based to keep me on track. In two weeks I lost four pounds! I would recommend Christine and Washington Nutrition to anyone that is looking for healthy changes to diet and body composition.

Brenda Calderon: If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I scheduled my appointment about a month in advance and confirmed the time. I showed up on time to my appointment and checked in with the receptionist. I had an early morning meeting so I can head to work right after. The nutritionist showed up to the office nearly 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment. I should have left after 20 minutes waiting but I gave them a chance. That's actually not even the reason for the poor review. Four months later, I received a letter in the mail from COLLECTIONS for a $40 co pay I never paid. First, I never even received a bill, which goes to show the poor scheduling and overall poor logistics of this office. It was certainly not worth the ding on my credit score. Save yourselves the headache and negative credit reporting and avoid this place at all costs.

Dilla Gence: My experience with my counselor Bru has been life changing in allowing me to process some things I've dealt with since my childhood. He is patient thoughtful and insightful when helping me process thoughts and subsequent behaviors.

Andrea Whitley MS, RD, LDN: what do users think?

Abenaa A: I found Andrea’s model and consult particularly expensive. The consult was 99 dollars for 10 minutes to tell me how Andrea charges which could have been An email. The model was not insurance friendly which prompted me to reach out because in network just to be told it didn’t use any of the advantages. While she says she runs tests these test can be duplicative and again costly. I would be weary of paying $100 consult moving forward.

Washington Nutrition & Counseling Group: what do users think?

Kaitlin Clark: This was the worst experience I’ve had with a psychiatrist, Dr. Campagnone. At first it seemed promising. She told me that after our appointment she would hand over my prescriptions to her assistant Pam so she could send them right over to the pharmacy. This was early on Thursday. All of Thursday went by and my pharmacy never received my prescription. I called on Friday to see if there was an update and the assistant told me that the doctor forgot to write my prescriptions but her assistant was going to reach out to resolve it. The day continues to go on and no prescriptions at my pharmacy. At my wits end, I called the assistant and told her to cancel my future appointment and to cancel my prescriptions as I was choosing to see a better provider for my issue. This was at 2 PM and she assured me she would be canceling my appointment and canceling my prescriptions, this was at 2 PM. Later I ended seeing this new provider after this and he was great and was able to write me my prescription and I was able to pick it up within the hour. Then 9 hours later, after speaking with the assistance about canceling everything, at about 11 PM I get a text from the facility to review my prescriptions that were sent to the pharmacy. Not I have 2 of the same prescription, written by two different doctors sent to the pharmacy on the same day. That is not ok especially because of the nature of the drug. Not to mention the assistant didn’t even cancel my appointment. Forgetful staff. Careless doctors. Would not recommend.

Lindsey McDermott: Ms. Zubair is a truly gifted mental health practitioner. She is completely invested in positive patient outcomes and she works collaboratively with her patients to find the best solutions for them. The front desk staff diligently works to ensure patients are able to see their providers. I am surprised to see negative reviews. I have only had fantastic experiences with this office and have recommended this practice to friends and family members. It can be hard to find good mental health providers. You are in good hands with Ms. Zubair.

Gabrielle Brown: If you’re looking for counseling services please find somewhere else to go because while you’re receiving therapy they will add a new stressor to your life regarding your bill. Their accounting department is horrible. They charge your card whenever they feel like and their receipts do not reflect the date they charged your card. I stopped going to them for this sole reason. I have not been a patient at this facility since July 2021 yet they recently charged my FSA card on March 14, 2022. I called and spoke with accounting and Pam informed me that I was charged for two sessions that I was never charged for in March 2021. What in the world are they doing in their accounting department that they are charging me for sessions that took place a year ago??? Unprofessional, dishonest, and thieves. You would think they’d tried to contact me about the payment or inform me of the balance before charging my card without my consent. Especially since I am no longer a patient and discontinued my therapy sessions with them in July 2021. You can’t even receive therapy there without being taken advantage of financially. I would never recommend this location. They are horrible!!!

Alex Sickles: They would not refill my best friend's prescription until a $50 balance was paid (she needed to wait 2 days until payday). They were just going to let her run out of medication over $50! She had a card on file and just needed an extra 48 hours! How is that legal? I called and paid the balance so she wouldn't harm herself or someone else and could get her meds. This practice is dangerous and doesn't care about their patients. DO NOT GO HERE, I CANNOT STRESS THAT ENOUGH!

Diana P.: I was able to speak with a nurse practitioner the day I called which was nice. However, the nurse said she would consult with their doctor to get my medications prescribed, but I'm guessing she never did. I called today to see what was happening with that and was told that nurse no longer works there...so now I'm almost out of my meds and they said they could maybe text the doctor but I would need to set up another appointment. Won't be returning, total waste of time.

SLasch: Dreadful, Dreadful office staff, I have been trying to call for a mental health follow-up appointment for over a week. The stress that this has added on me is the exact opposite of what I need. Even before I had an appointment no one contacted me to provide the links for the tele health appt. They called like 15 or more mins after my appt time, and only because I called to complain. HOWEVER, Bukola Zubair seemed like a lovely, attentive Nurse Practitioner, and I wish her well.
Response: Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. I am so sorry to hear that you had this experience with us. We have been growing very quickly and have recently have added more front desk staff to our team. We really appreciate your feed back and are always striving to be better!

Rita Gaskins: Zero stars is what they deserve. If you come across this during your search keep searching/scrolling trust me.

Garrett Jaso: After scheduling an appointment with one of Washington N & C Group's clinicians, the front office calls to tell me the clinician is not taking new clients. Unfortunately, this is is a common problem in therapy and counseling but it is disappointing and unprofessional to come across an organization/clinician that seems like to good fit to only find out they are not taking new clients. It is a simple step to update one's website to inform a potential patient that the clinician isn't available. If Washington N & C Group is too lazy to update their website, its worrisome thinking about the quality of care they provide.

Sonola S Onasanya: I had Bru Prasad as a therapist for about 6 months between October 2020 and April 2021. When I started, I was dealing with a lot of anxiety and stress. Bru worked a lot with me on my personal relationships, loss of loved ones, and managing my health and performance at work. Working with Bru, I was able to develop my own internal accountability tools as well as learn to better manage my emotions. It was not an easy road. We met weekly in the first few months for a one-hour sessions each time and slowly transitioned the sessions to once every two weeks. Bru was always extremely professional and organized. He offered several different hacks to help me deal with both my personal and professional issues. He talked with me about my relationships and offered his council. He was a great listener and had an intuitive understanding of others’ emotions. He was always on time for our sessions and was flexible in rescheduling whenever a conflict arose in either of our calendars. Bru challenged me when he needed to while always remaining reassuring. Our sessions were all via telecommunication online as it was during the pandemic period. The online system he used to have the sessions and take payments was extremely easy to work with, and we had minimal technical issues. As a first-time therapy patient and client of Bru, I felt the sessions were akin to a discussion with a trusted friend. He has a strong personal interest in leadership and is an avid reader of books focusing on the topic. He is humorous and witty, and definitely enjoys a good joke. I sincerely appreciated all the guidance, challenge, and company that Bru offered me during our sessions. I of course still have a lot to work on, but I would one hundred percent recommend this gentleman as a therapist for anyone looking for assistance with their mental health, personal anxieties, time management, or professional/leadership development. Your time will be well spent.

Jendra Teuscher: Unfortunately zero is not an option and I am forced to select one star. I attempted to be seen by a mental health therapist and was clear about this when I scheduled my appointment. While scheduling my appt, I received confirmation from the scheduler that they accepted my insurance. During the scheduling conversation, she instructed me to call if I was unable to make my appointment for any reason due to there being a $15 charge for missing appointments without cancelling ahead of time. The day of my appointment I was running late and wanted them to know that I would be 3-5 minutes tardy and to not cancel my appointment. I had to leave a voicemail due to no one answering the phone. After arriving 4 minutes after the start of my appointment time, I was taken back to the woman's office for what I thought to be MH counseling session. She asked for my licence and insurance card, took pictures of them for billing, and then asked the reason for my visit. She then explained to me that there had been a mistake with the scheduling, as she only does nutrition counseling. She was sincerely apologetic and said that this mistake never happens. Also at that time she received a text message saying that I would be late, now it had been 40 minutes after I had left the voicemail. She also mentioned that she had reached out to the scheduling team earlier that day and pointed out that I was on her schedule by mistake. Unfortunately, there was not much to be done as it was the end of the business day but she did attempt to see if I could possibly be seen by one of the MH counselors. Of course nothing could be changed and she told me that the owner of the company, Christine, would be calling me very soon. She did call within 10 or so minutes. Christine immediately jumped in the conversation explaining that they had new hires on their scheduling team and they accidentally placed me on the wrong schedule. After explaining, she THEN apologized about the situation. She did inform me that she would be in the scheduling office the next day to prevent this error from happening again. I didn't feel that she was being sincere in her tone, timing of the apology in the conversation and the fact that she was chewing loudly on gum during our entire phone conversation...I wanted to give up on working with this group but I was sympathetic for the new hire, Christine had a plan to correct the error, and I had already waited a couple weeks for this appointment. Christine was looking at the schedule to fit me in the next day, instead of asking what worked best for me. I had already re-arranged leaving work early for my initial appointment and was not able to come during THEIR next open slot times. I told her Wednesday would be best for me in the morning and she was able to find me a slot. I thought it was sorted at the end of the conversation. Fast forward to one hour before my appointment, Christine called to let me know my session would not be covered by my insurance. I told her I had specifically asked the scheduler about my coverage before scheduling my appointment. Then I asked her what my options were and she told me that I could self-pay the $200 out of pocket fee......She wasn't sincere the second time (same tone and attitude) but at least she wasn't chewing gum in my ear. I told her that was absurd and to cancel my appointment.

Luke Huber: CRN is the leading dietary supplement trade organization, dedicated to ensuring high quality natural products are available to consumers.

JAMES B.: This organisation is a lobby group, nothing more than that. It uses coercion and intimidation and threats to force nutrition industry members to join their organisation, and takes a percentage of their members' revenues. Those companies who decline their invitation to join face retribution and sanctions.

Vegan Linked: The most beneficial organization for the advancement and benefit of human health and safety. PCRM pushes progress in Healthcare forward. They have been successfully working the most diligently to ensure our food Pyramid evolves based on facts. As a result they protect us from predatory industry influence that works to manipulate our dietary decisions toward profit over health. Thank you for all your years of hard work and dedication to truth!

BernaDette Session: Excellent informational, inspiring facility with hard-working, compassionate, caring team doing great research in educating everyone on the benefits of vegan living for health, animals & the environment. Co-located with the Barnard Medical Center.

Natalie P: Ditto the 5-star comments. So thankful for Dr. Barnard and all of his amazing associates and supporters, working to make a better world for everyone!

Genay Stevens: Wasn't sure how to rate them. I work in the building and finally went to check them out. The doctors were friendly but some of the staff were very dismissive. I tried to start a conversation with them, but they completely ignored me not realizing that I see them every day.

Restorative Health: what do users think?

Allison Strodel Mueller: I have appreciated Dr. Safayan's thorough approach to practicing medicine for several years. I value his perspective and appreciate his wisdom. He is a doctor that listens and is not dismissive of concerns. He values labs, numbers and data points but also understands the role that emotional and mental health play in overall wellness. His emphasis on holistic health is refreshing and encouraging.

Jada Thomas: Dr. Safiyan is an excellent Physician. I am always pleased with his knowledge base, professionalism, and the amount of time that he spends with his patients. Restorative Health always provides above average medical care that treats the whole person.

Julie Donahue: Dr Safayan is always thoughtful, patient, and thinks deeply about each patient. When I go to any appointment the staff and Dr. S take care of me like I’m family. It’s a pretty rare experience this have this type of care from your doctor in 2022. Thank you, much appreciated!

Staff MinoviDental: Dr Safayan has been my physician for years. I can not say enough about his care level and knowledge and due diligence. I have seen many physicians in my life as I am a health care provider myself. Dr Safayan ,by far, is one of my favorite people and an excellent clinician.

Donald Parker: Quite pleased with initial consultation. Patient, incisive questioning plus deep technical expertise produced an excellent assessment of my issues and treatment alternatives. Dr Safayan is an exemplary physician.

Teresa Morris: I received NAET from Dr. Safayan for a variety of dietary and environmental sensitivities. As result, I made it through springtime in DC for. the first time without using even an over-the-counter allergy medicine and didn't once experience the watery eyes, runny nose, etc. that the season usually brings. I greatly appreciate his willingness to use therapies that reach beyond pharmaceutical-focused treatment protocols so typical in the U.S. I've been extremely impressed with Dr. Safayan's scientific approach to alternative therapies, his explanations of every step of treatment, and his careful attention to answering questions thoroughly.

maziar far: I have been an enthusiastic fan of this office for over 15 years now. I appreciate the personal and attentive care from everyone in the office, in particular the always informative conversations with Dr Safayan about any tests or lab results.and health matters in general.

Roberta Brown: I have been a patient at Restorative Health for more than twenty years. Dr. Safayan has relieved pain with acupuncture many times. I dislike taking pain pills and appreciate his ability as an acupuncturist. He has used other alternative methods of healing, and there is a Naturapath and other specialists connected with the office. If a medical problem cannot be solved in his office, he recommends good specialists..

William Heron: I had severe pain from burns which followed radiation treatments for cancer. After the first acupuncture treatment with Dr. Safayan, the pain was gone. No need for oxycodone or NSAIDs. He is truly a miracle worker, besides being a gentle, compassionate and caring physician.

Peter Clamp: I receive clear, balanced, and timely advice from Restorative Health medical experts. The support staff are efficient and the practice takes full advantage of information technology to ensure efficient communication.

World Food Program USA: what do users think?

Anthony Saweres (tonirigatoni): I have always been hesitant on donating to various organizations out of skepticism of where my money is truly going, and if it is for a good cause. I have done extensive research on the World Food Program, and am proud to declare they truly are a legit organisation doing good work for people in need of food. They have tons of literature towards their mission and how they have been able to achieve their goals. I recently donated to WFP, and one thing I noticed that was different than other organizations was how straight forward the donation process was, and whether or not it would be a one time donation or a monthly/repeatable donation. I am glad to have been able to donate to WFP, and will continue to donate to them.

M: I have always been a big donor for the WFP. Have been donating for so many years, and will continue to do so. Keep up the good work. I request people to donate any amount every month, how ever small it be, just donate.

Mike Gordon: I made a 1 time donation and found that WFP was automatically charging my account every month for the same amount. I never authorized recurring payments and will never help them again. Mike Gordon

Christian Madonna: Been a monthly donor since April. Looking for the best way to beat world hunger for good? Keep supporting orgs like this one that are fighting the good fight.

Rossana Bouchaya: Great organization committed to feeding those in need. Have made a couple donations and plan to do so again in the future!

Maria Diaz-Myers: Same here!!! I made 1 time contribution and keep charging $50 per month for month. Shame on these people

Krista Hunsicker: Doing great work to help raise for people in crisis zones!
