He has been actively involved in neurologic education and research for almost 20 years, facilitating international collaboration on medical education for international medical graduates, and is the recipient of the John J. Kelly Award for Teaching in his department. He was selected as Chair of the Committee of Undergraduate Medical Curriculum at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. He has been the principal investigator or investigator on grants looking at neuropathic pain, botulinum toxin for chronic migraine, postherpetic neuralgia, neurogenic orthostatic hypotension, Gulf War syndrome, carpal tunnel syndrome and diabetic neuropathy. Dr. Richardson has published several articles in the medical literature in journals such as Muscle & Nerve, Journal of Clinical Neurophysiology, Trauma, and Archives of Environmental and Occupational Health. Dr. Richardson has lectured regionally, nationally, and internationally. He has always offered his expertise to the community through volunteer presentations, lectures, and screenings.
