Washington Sports Clubs - DuPont Circle: what do users think?

G L: Supports individuals following members and blames the victim for the harassment they endured. Canceled their membership for documenting the stalker following them and still charged them for the membership. Very unprofessional on the phone when this situation was being discussed and stated that the victim should have talked to management as if them being followed is something they would address. The company would not address the stalker and that is very clear. It is important that everyone feels safe and comfortable at the gym and they did not create that sort of environment for the victim. I would absolutely not suggest this gym and believe all current members cancel as soon as they possibly can. You are not safe. You will never be safe in this gym. They do not care about their customers…

Jesse Bacon: I was in town three days for a conference and needed a gym to workout in… when we asked about daily passes the staff was super friendly and helpful in allowing me and a colleague to utilize the facility… I was able to complete all of my CrossFit workouts for the three days I was there. The facility was spacious and had everything we needed. Would totally recommend to anyone in the area looking for a gym home or those passing though on business. I’ll visit again whenever I’m in the area.
Response: Hi Jesse! That's amazing, we are so glad you were able to enjoy our Dupont Circle facility and what the club has to offer. We really hope to see you again in the future! Thanks again, HereToHelp@tsiclubs.com

Michael: It's a great gym, I really don't get why the rating isn't higher. Perhaps the former management can be blamed. Juayla could not have been more welcoming. I can recommend this gym 100% Not too busy It's clean Good variety of equipment Big lockers (gotta bring your own lock) A nice, respectful crowed
Response: Michael, WOW! Thank you so much for your 5-star rating of our Dupont Circle location and kind words about team member Juayla. We appreciate you taking the time to leave this review. We hope to see you again soon. If you ever need assistance, you can always reach us at Heretohelp@tsiclubs.com. Thanks again, Here to Help Team

J Heather: Very friendly front desk staff and cleaning staff. Location is well maintained (cleanliness and equipment). The location can get crowded especially during rush hours (around lunch and at the end of the day). The other WSC nearby shutdown so their members automatically transferred to this location. Bathroom/lockers may be spotty at times but it depends on the time of the day. They offer membership discounts if you sign up in person (just a warning regarding the annual fee- they cannot waive it).
Response: J Heather, We're thrilled that you were satisfied with our Dupont Circle location. We are happy to hear our team members are meeting your expectations. Your feedback is appreciated, and we are here should you ever need help in the future. You can always reach us at Heretohelp@tsiclubs.com. Thanks again, Here to Help Team

Linnies World: I give this gym -10/10. A facility were the staff don't care about your safety is not a place to be. Not to mention taking people hard earned money when they were protecting themselves. Let not mention the unprofessional person on the other end of the phone. This makes no sense honestly they guy needs to be fired.

Whittney Dents: A club member was being followed and recorded the interaction to protect himself. Instead of the manager being understanding, he abruptly canceled the members membership and would not give them a refund. In a society where you truly don’t know the intentions of people, recording yourself for protection should not be punished. Shame on this establishment and the manager.

Nesi Smith: This gym feel as if it’s ok for a member to be stalked and you terminate them because they’re recording for their safety!!! As a former law enforcement officer I felt the need to record was justifiable and due to the fact that he didn’t report it shouldn’t matter. You have all types of weirdos working out so the need to report is slim to none unless that person actually starts following and stalking you to point where every move you make they make!!!! Refund should have been given as well as an apology.

Micha-Re Newton: This gym disregards the safety of its members and instead punishes them for taking precautions of their own safety. A recent member had just posted an interaction on social media of how he was followed by a man throughout his entire visit. The man would move to every corner that the member did. Even down to preforming intimidating acts by setting his belongings directly next to the member. WSC then decided that they would suspend the members membership for “recording and posting. & should have taken it to management” yet no actions have been taking on the predatory behavior of the man that was recorded. I can’t imagine how they would treat a woman in this same situation if this is how they treated a gentleman.

Carmen King: Unprofessional. Member felt unsafe and recorded the man following him. The stalker told the manager & the manager canceled the victims membership and refused to give a refund. Didn't ask the victim his side or anything. Not good business & you should feel safe in your gym. 0/10

Tiana Stewart: This club does not care about the safety and well-being of their customers. Your membership will be terminated if you vent about the gym on social media with no refund of your monthly payment. This gym is not safe If you are attending alone. If you do go to this gym, please go with another person so that you were not followed around the gym.

Washington Sports Clubs - Glover Park: what do users think?

My Comment: Great neighborhood gym. Staff there -- Mahlape, Olga, Luis -- who are there in the mornings are friendly and quick to help if you have questions. You get a neighborhood vibe from the place as compared to the nameless big gyms. Especially during the pandemic you can see the extra effort they put in to keep the place clean, open, and welcoming. They make you feel part of a family. Glad to be a Glover Park member.
Response: Judd, We can't thank you enough for your 5-star rating of our Glover Park location. It means the world to us and lets us know we're on the right track! We are thrilled to hear that our team members are always welcoming, as we strive to deliver the best customer service. We are always happy to help should you ever need assistance in the future. You can reach us at Heretohelp@tsiclubs.com. Thanks for being a part of Washington Sports Clubs. Thanks again, Here to Help Team

Jason Yeung: Been a member for several months now. I’ve haven’t had a negative experience with team members. The people that workout here are also very respectful and friendly. In response to a negative review of a team member I wanted to share my experience with her. Towards me, she’s always been friendly and hospitable. She does her best to remember everyone by name and notices when your workout buddy isn’t with you, even to the point of asking if they’re ok. The lack of a 5th star is not because of the staff. I wish there were bumper plates, another squat rack, and high quality barbells. That’s most likely a corporate issue.
Response: Jason, We appreciate the time you took to rate our Glover Park location. Thanks for acknowledging our team members daily efforts. We would like to thank you for your constructive feedback. We are continuously working to make improvements when it comes to delivering the best fitness experience. If you would like to share any additional feedback, we are here to listen with care. You can reach us at Heretohelp@tsiclubs.com. All the best, Here to Help Team

Ricardo Martinez: I must disagree with a previous review. Malape is a value member of the gym, she is courteous, polite and nice in general. If there is a piece of equipment that is behind the desk, she would gladly point it to me so I can grab it (due to COVID). Luis is another great asset to the gym, he always looks to have everything ready and clean for us to workout early in the morning, always say hi with a smile and good attitude. I am appreciative of their work.
Response: Ricardo, We always enjoy hearing what our customers have to say. Thanks for shouting out our awesome team members Malape and Luis. We're glad we could be of service and that you had a great experience at our Glover Park location. Thank you for taking the time to leave this review, and we appreciate your kind words. We are always here to listen with care. You can reach us at Heretohelp@tsiclubs.com should you ever need assistance in the future. Thanks again, Here to Help Team

John Byrne: This is a great sports club with a friendly neighborhood atmosphere. Mahlape has always been an incredible asset -- friendly, professional and knowledgeable -- and Luis keeps everything extremely clean. The club was renovated a few years ago, and there is great equipment and a lot of space. Also, very easy to get to on Wisconsin Avenue.
Response: John, Thank you for being a loyal member of our Glover Park location. Many thanks for thinking of us and leaving a 5-Star review. We would also like to thank you for recognizing our team members Mahlape and Luis. We're grateful for your trust, confidence, and business in choosing Washington Sports Clubs as your fitness provider. We hope to continue to exceed your expectations. You can always share feedback, or should you ever need assistance; you can reach us at Heretohelp@tsiclubs.com. Thanks again, Here to Help Team

Alexandre B. Sagna: I love ❤️ being part of Washington Sport Club Glover Park. The whole staff is friendly 😊. Brought two of my buddies to train with me and they loved it. Yes it’s tiny that’s true so if you don’t like being close to each other I recommend not to come around pick time 😊.
Response: Dear Alexandre, Thanks so much for taking the time to share such positive feedback! It is truly touching to know you think so highly of us and are sharing this experience with your friends! If you ever need anything please don't hesitate to reach out to our team at HereToHelp@tsiclubs.com. Thanks again, HereToHelp Team

Joao Pedro: Very friendly staff and great customer service! I also want to kindly disagree with what was said in the latest review since I believe that the “older black woman”, as she was referred, is actually a valuable member and a very nice person who contributes a lot to the gym with her nice work. I only have great words to say about the whole team that works there. The gym is always super clean. The machines are well maintained, and there’s a good number of ergs, so I don’t have to wait to do my cardio.
Response: Thank you for the kind words, João! We’re so happy your membership experience went so smoothly. We love to provide great service to awesome members like you. If you ever need anything please do not hesitate to reach out to HeretoHelp@tsiclubs.com. Thanks again! Marc Digital Member Relations Manager

Will Wu: Great budget gym in Glover Park. Been a member for almost a year and never had any problems with them. Would recommend

Vinicio Aguirre: Wsc Glover is a gym that I highly recommend to the neighborhood or anyone looking to go have a good workout. It’s had major changes since the original Covid transitions. The people there are welcoming and enthusiastic when it comes to its members. If you are an individual that is somewhat of a germaphobe, there is an employee by name of Shanica who works hard keeping the cleanliness of the gym to its highest standards. She makes sure the antibacterial wipes are always stocked and the workout rooms as well as mats are cleaned daily. Overall I believe you come to the gym you’ll agree with my review.
Response: Hi Vinicio - thank you very much for your review of our Glover Park location! We are so thrilled to hear that you are enjoying our club. We appreciate your continued loyalty and if there is any further feedback that you wish to send us, please contact us at HereToHelp@tsiclubs.com. Thanks again, HereToHelp Team

Bernard Holland: I have not been to WSC Glover Park since the pandemic and plan to rejoin when things quiet down. Before that I was there most days for ten years. The elderly black woman Lizzie was referring to is Mahlape who has been there for more than 20 years. Mahlape is the glue that holds that club together. All the people I know that attended the club adored Mahlape. I cannot imagine her being rude undeservedly to anyone. Moreover I have seen a few altercations between staff and members in my time at the club. Invariably it was the members who were at fault.
Response: Bernard, Thank you for taking the time to rate our Glover Park location. Your satisfaction is our priority, and we take pride in delivering exceptional service. We look forward to your return and continuing to support your fitness journey. We are always here if you ever need assistance in the future. You can always reach us at Heretohelp@tsiclubs.com. Gretchen Whitney: Washington Sports Club in GloverPark is very convient for me, clean, cost-effective, etc.. I always appreciate being welcomed by Malape (spelling?). The yoga and exercise instructors are excellent. I don't like wearing a mask now but appreciate the club's attention to the requirement and safety. I recommend it!
Response: Gretchen, Thanks for choosing our Glover Park location and leaving such a great review! Feedback like yours reminds us why we do what we do. We are thrilled to hear that you love our group fitness instructors and that team member Malape is delivering you a great experience. We look forward to seeing you again soon. Washington Sports Clubs - Columbia Heights: what do users think?

Kuntal Sen, MD, FACMG: My poor review is due to following reasons: My trainer left abruptly without notice. I was charged for cancelling my session with him even though it was their fault. I have disputed the credit card charge. They are infamous for wrongly charging customers and fraudulent activity. They implemented covid vaccine card policy which was nice but didn’t inform customers. I and others was treated very unprofessionally by front desk during this day.
Response: Kuntal, We're sorry to hear of your less than satisfactory experience at our Columbia Heights location. We hope you will accept our sincerest apologies. We are committed to providing a great fitness experience, and we would like to make things right. Please send us an email to Heretohelp@tsiclubs.com so that we can determine how we can provide you with a solution. We value our customers' opinions and thank you for bringing this to our attention. All the best, Here to Help Team

April: Personal Training - Thomas Harrington After being out of the gym for a while, Thomas was much needed. He is kind, engaging, patient and knowledgeable just to name a few. What I really like about him, he takes the time to explain the whats and whys. It doesn't feel like he's just "doing his job". Thomas goes above and beyond to explain the mechanics in layman's terms. After each session I walk away having learned something. He loves what he does, and he's happy to pass it on. Thomas gets 10s from me.
Response: Hi April - thank you for taking the time to submit this positive review of Thomas! We love hearing that our team is making a different in our member's lives. We have shared this feedback with the club team. We hope you continue to love your sessions and we will see you around the club! Thanks again, HereToHelp@tsiclubs.com

Luke Brown: Thomas Harrington was the trainer I needed! Thomas has revolutionized my workout regimen and level of fitness. Not only am I noticeably stronger and more toned, I also have greater self-confidence in the gym, better kinesthetic awareness, and a bevy of workout routines will demonstrated results. Thomas has been a strong balance of expertise and care for me. He frequently spent additional time showing me an alternative exercise, checking-in about my hesitations, or demonstrating an additional stretch for a lingering ache. I actively looked forward to our time together, and I will apply his instruction for years to come. I had been hesitant to pay for a personal trainer, yet investing in my time with Thomas has been a massive personal victory. I would recommend Thomas to anyone hoping to build more effective workout routines, prevent or recuperate from an injury, or develop their confidence in and around the gym. Whether you are looking to fine tune your workouts or turn more heads, I'd invest in time with Thomas.
Response: Wow Luke! Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review for our Columbia Heights location including amazing feedback for our trainer, Thomas! We will be sure to pass along the feedback to Thomas and the rest of our team. We hope you continue to enjoy your time with him and we will be seeing you around our club! Thanks again, HereToHelp@tsiclubs.com

Conor O'Reilly: I had a personal training session with Phil and he did a great job! He taught me a lot about free weights and stretching. Now I feel more comfortable to use the more advanced equipment. They also have a pool, sauna, and basketball court. Love this place
Response: Conor, Thank you for taking a moment to leave such a positive review for our Columbia Heights location and sharing your experience with our personal trainer, Phil. We are pleased to hear you enjoyed your personal training session with him and feel more comfortable with using the equipment around the facility. If you ever need anything, please do not hesitate to reach out to HeretoHelp@tsiclubs.com. Thanks again, Here to Help Team

Terry Chasteen: I joined on a special rate, maybe it was 2018. Due to my own fault, I never used the gym ... not once. I cannot blame that on anyone else, however I would have thought with a new client in a business like this, someone would have reached out; invited me in for a tour, found out why I was paying monthly but never using the facility. No one ever contacted me for the full year that I was billed. That is not the worst part, however, Even though it was NOT in the contract, they automatically renewed my membership without my approval and not only at my original rate but almost $30/mo above. This went on for a year since I never used that credit card and it was paid monthly automatically by my bank. Only bc of sething else on the card did I notice the fraudulant charges and they were too old for my bank to recover.
Response: Terry, Thank you for reaching out regarding your experience at our Columbia Heights location. We’re always looking to make things right. We do truly appreciate the feedback as we’re always looking for ways to improve our member experience. Thanks for taking the time to leave this review and we hope you will provide us with an opportunity to do better. Please let us know if there is anything we can do for you by emailing us at Heretohelp@tsiclubs.com. All the best, Here to Help Team

Benyam Ephrem: Scheduled an InBody scan a week ago (as a non-member), came in prepped for the scan (no breakfast) at 10am - front desk said they did not have an appointment asking if I received a confirmation email (I said I got no calls or emails), then made me scan a QR code on a banner to schedule for another day since apparently the person doing the scans would be in at 5pm. Frustrating experience. Will not be coming back to the gym.
Response: Benyam, We are terribly sorry for your experience at our Columbia Heights location. It is because of customers like you that we can continue to learn how to improve. We are most certainly sad to hear that we fell short. We want to contact you and learn more about your recent experience. Please feel free to send us an email with additional details to Heretohelp@tsiclubs.com. All the best, Here to Help Team

Gregory Alan: Critical: QualityMediocre at best. See attached pictures below. The equipment is not well maintained and does not justify the cost of membership. Also the club hours are terrible on the weekends.
Response: Gregory, thank you very much for your feedback. We take our member's insights to heart, and we apologize for not providing you with the best possible experience in our clubs. As you know, the pandemic has presented a unique set of obstacles for most business but has especially affected the fitness industry. If you are open to discussing further we would love to connect you with one of our Customer Relations Managers at heretohelp@tsiclubs.com. All the best, Here to help team

Thaiz Alicia: Do not come to this gym!!! They do not care for your safety!! They will cancel your membership for protecting yourself from weird men that will follow you around ! Stay safe and go to a gym that will help you out and help you enjoy your gym experience instead of canceling your membership!

Mahvash Edrissi: I started going to gym a month ago, first it was difficult to come out after so long time lock down. But after few days I got used to it now i want to go there everyday. Friendy staff, and clean place, and all equipment makes this place great. I do my exercise, take a shower and saunas, afterwards I feel great about myself. Thank you wsc
Response: Mahvash, We're delighted to hear about your experience. We truly appreciate your recommendation of our Columbia Heights location. We will work hard to continue going above and beyond. As always, our team is looking forward to your next visit. We are always here if you have any additional feedback or suggestions. You can reach us at Heretohelp@tsiclubs.com. Thanks again, Here to Help Team

Bita Kh: The worst customer service I’ve ever seen. Nobody takes responsibility for the actions. They charge me with new fee membership that is more than the original one because of the mistake that made by themselves. I’ve spoke with customer service and sales department several times, everybody already aware of this problem but no action. When I follow up they send me to new person. This is absurd.
Response: Bita, We're sorry to hear of your less than satisfactory experience at our Columbia Heights location. Harry Thomas Recreation Center: what do users think?

Bobbi DeAnda: This is THE coolest park ever! I wish i had this park as a kid! There’s an AMAZING little kid park with a soft surface and big kid park and SWINGS! There’s so few parks in the city with swings - but there’s three kinds here. Also a big field with workout equipment, tennis court, basketball court, and the pool!

Polly Rodriguez: DC parks Rock!Sadly the beautiful pool is only open on weekends until the end of June, but it's a great park. Playgrounds for different age groups. Basketball. Big grassy field. Nicely maintained.

David Andrew Finkelstein: Awesome pool. Good mix of adults and families come here but I have always been able to find a chair even at peak times. Much prefer it to Banneker. Street parking can be annoying but it’s usually not too bad.

Annegret Hünerfürst: Best playground of all I went to with my 2 kids. Very spacious and a lot to explore. Swings for every age.

Rochelle Marie: I took my oldest son to football practice there while I let my two toddlers play on the playground. I loved the playground! the playgrounds are separated, so u have a little kids one and a big kids one. they have a swing set in the middle...with both baby swings and regular swings. They have a tennis and basketball court. I believe also a rec center. there was some litter on the playground but it wasnt trifling. I've seen worse. Parking is VERY competitive. overall, it's a great lil playground. we will be back!

Fabiana Perera: Beautiful pool with draconian rules. They close the pool for “adult swim” even when there are no child-free adults here. Instead of opening the kiddie pool at that time they keep it closed for no good reason. I have no idea what triggered the end-of-fun whistle but I hope it doesn’t happen to you if you come here with kids.

Luisa Parra: This is great playground for small and big kids! You can also go for a jog around it. Definitely a great spot to go with kids or even by yourself.

Rene Wallis: Nice pool, big swim area for bigger kids, ages 7 and up. Nice kiddie pool for toddlers. Shade is available. Icky bathrooms. Diving board is gone and lifeguards often won't allow people to swim in the deep end. Clean deck. Not crowded most of the time. Families, lower key pool.

Brett Syndergaard: This is the place to play some pick up ultimate fris. Scoober up broheim!

Caleb P: The playground areas are great. The little kid playground area is not shaded, but the rest are. The gardens surrounding the park are all over run with weeds. Too bad, cause I bet they were gorgeous when the park was new. Pool odd only open weekdays and Saturdays after 12.

Entertainment & Sports Arena: what do users think?

Bernie Blankenship (meanieBURN): First time there for a pro wrestling show. Modern arena. Really accessible. Laid out well with great seats for the 100 section. I don't think there's a bad seat there.

Joe Welsh: Nice area. Intimate in size and comfortable seating. Great sight lines. Bathrooms are smaller so there may be some waiting in line. I didn't check out concession, though from the looks of those around me it looks like classic arena food. Staff/security very friendly. My main reason for the review is to inform the event-goer about parking. Our show started at 7 (main show at 8) but parking took 45 minutes. It was a long line to get into the lot. Cost was $10, not too bad, but prepare best by getting to your event EARLY.

C M: The staff was super friendly and accommodating (I cannot go through the medical defector). The lines went super fast to check covid vaccine cards, Id's and tickets. The first day the hot dogs were super good, line was short. Merch counter line was long but quick. Second day the fried chicken and French fries were sooooo good and fresh. Taste like my grandmother was on the Fryer. The seats are not tight, also clean...thank goodness! Mask are mandatory and rule is emplimented. No comment on parking I took Lyft/Uber but it was an easy pick up and drop off. Although it is 45 mins from home, I would definitely go back to this venue again.
Response: CM thanks so much for you review and hope to see you again for another event.

Summer M: Great atmosphere, but wish the food options were better and the arena was slightly bigger. The comcast center was too big for them but I feel this arena is too small for them. It leaves no opportunity for the franchise to grow in the amount of people that come to games. They could definitely be selling more tickets especially with the sold out games.

TheJasonaut: 4 1/2 stars. 2 main great things, probably not a bad view in the arena, and the actual seats, even though they are plastic-type, are very comfortable. The only downsides are, the room in front of seats is tiny and there isn't much going on as far as concessions and such. But it's just a small building, even for the number of seats, so not too much you can do about that I guess. If you are parking in one of the three lots, you'll still have to walk down the main drag, not super far, but not as close as it may look on a map.(might be better in the future, looks like a lot of construction going on) And be careful, not much room getting into the lot, can get backed up easily.

Robert Rains: Visited here for an AEW wrestling television show in January. It’s a beautiful facility that does not feel too daunting. The restrooms were clean and there were plenty of exits in case of an emergency. Unfortunately, this complex exists pretty far from downtown DC, so if you’re leaving an event ending late in the evening have a plan for getting home.

Jeff Lucarelli: Such a great venue to see AEW!!
Response: Thanks for the review, Jeff!

Bethelehem Yirga: I’ve gone to the Arena twice now - once for the Mystics Championship Game and for the Global Mixed Gender Basketball. Both games were great experiences - and packed. The feel of the DC community is strong at the arena, and I love the serving of Hennessy at the bars. The arena gives you the feel of home in a polished, professional space. Excited to attend more events at this space.

Mrs. O'Neal: Ok! Can we say AWESOME! From the shuttle ride to the concessions everything was on point! Seats are cool, section 200 is on a major incline I don’t recommend this to folks with babies! But not a bad seat in the house! Can’t wait to go back for another event! My recommendation if you do use the shuttle leave a tad early free your event so you don’t have to wait long for a ride back to the car!
Response: Thanks for the review and photos! Looking forward to seeing you at another Washington Mystics game next season or any other upcoming event including Capital City Go Go and the Events DC Holiday Hoops Fest in December!

dionne davis: Awesomeness! Mystic Ladies represented

duc nguyen: Dont come to this gym unless you want to be kicked out for recording in a PUBLIC gym. They terminate your membership without refunding!! Unacceptable.

Mary Ola: Horrible staff, they would cancel your membership because your trying to protect yourself smh. If I could add zero stars I would.

Kristin Valdez: Cheap, but constant broken machines and terrible customer service. They've already been sued by the DC Attorney General. They charged members April dues when they were closed for COVID. And they will make it very hard to cancel your membership. This is the actual response I received when I tried to cancel my membership after they unexpectedly reopened in the middle of the pandemic (why they would require 45 days to cancel in the first place... nobody knows): As a member requesting a cancellation, we created the "45 day with no further billing." This eliminated the cancellation fee, as well as the 45 day billing window. Our local upper management, as well as our Corporate level management, worked closely with the DC Attorney General to formulate this COVID-19 offer. This offer, created in conjunction with the DC Attorney General, removes the April refund but also removes the $10 processing fee and 45 day billing window attributed to cancellations, per the terms of your agreement.

Adam Carlesco: After spending a year at the Silver Spring WSC, I got a new job in DuPont Circle. After looking at all the gyms near my new office, I decided to just transfer my membership to this location as it was the closest barbell gym to my office. It's clean, easy to get in and out in about an hour, not terribly busy during lunch, and the staff are friendly and helpful. I dock a point however because this gym is overloaded with useless machinery and two floors of cardio equipment, yet has zero deadlift platforms and only one squat rack. It's also $10/mo more than the Silver Spring location yet lacks a true power rack area for barbell lifting and does not have a lap pool like the Silver Spring location does. So, you essentially pay more for less due to location - but hey, this is DC. EDIT: WSC finally installed a deadlift area; though it still only has one squat rack.

P B: I thought I would review the gym after being a member for a year and a half. This place isn't perfect, but it's probably the best deal that you can find in the city if you work it correctly. In short, this gym addresses all yor basic workout needs: cardio, weights, circuit training, spinning/yoga/zumba classes, and personal training. At the end of the day, if you want more than the bare bones gym, head up CT avenue to their nicer, but pricier, location. Pros: - Multiple, convenient locations - Have nearly all the exercise equipment for most people - Saunas - Overall, the workout facilities are maintained and clean - Busy, but you can typically have access to your machine without waiting - Plenty of cardio equipment - Free body fat percentage tests - Put out free nutrition bars/snacks periodically Cons: - FEES everywhere. Activation fee. Cancellation fee. Fee if you change your membership. Even fees for towels if you have the basic membership. - No pool - You only get access to all locations with a significantly more expensive membership - Fairly regular turnover in management - Locker rooms are small, smelly, and there aren't that many showers - Make no effort to reward long term members for loyalty - Membership pricing makes little sense. When I registered, they had the $20 membership if you put down $150, a $30 membership if you put down $50, and a $40 membership with no money down. I was grandfathered into the $20/month membership, to my knowledge that's not offered anymore. - Most of the trainers aren't particularly friendly

1st Amendment: Clean gym, friendly staff and they have towels too. If you like solid weight and not the plastic stuff they have it here too. A little hard to find but what's not in DC, will go back here if I'm in the area because I know the weights are good and they have good machines too. The weight spread downstairs is nice too and it's been clean the last 2 times I've visited.
Response: Hi Arlen, Awesome! We're so glad that you're enjoying your time at our club and taking steps towards having a great fitness lifestyle! Thanks for taking the time to post a review. Andrew Coutts: It's pretty crowded and the overall cleanliness isn't great for a gym. The other location is very clean, but this one was bad enough that I left for another gym that is less crowded with more equipment to choose from. There is only 1 squat rack!!

Max Castillo: Fairly good gym. Gets absolutely swamped after work in the evenings and desperately needs another squat rack. If you can come during non-peak hours, you'll have the weight room to yourself. Pretty expensive for an average gym experience, but it is right in the middle of downtown dc
Response: Nice to know, Max! Thanks so much for taking the time to review our club! So glad that you're enjoying your fitness experience. Please don’t hesitate to reach out should you need anything. We can always be reached at HereToHelp@tsiclubs.com (please include your name, phone number and club location). Happy workouts! Best, The WSC Team

F E Downey: This is a gym, not a fitness center/spa. Front desk and support staff (Jessie, Hugo, Jose, and Sondra) are exceptional. They push 110% everyday and members appreciate and respect the high quality service they provide. Pete Mitec is a very knowledgeable personal trainer manager at this location. His personal training staff that I know (Ahmad, Adrian and Mike) are also knowledgeable and credentialed. Problem is training staff seem to be instructed by the Washington Sports organization NOT to assist club members UNLESS they sign up for private, personal training lessons. Sad, because often club members can be seen doing exercises incorrectly and no trainer is available on the gym floor to advise them that they might be injuring themselves. When personal trainers do not have private clients, the Washington Sports organization appears to instruct the trainers to stay in the staff offices, where they can be seen either talking with friends/clients or surfing the internet. It appears no daily, personal assistance to club members is included in the monthly membership fee (except for the annual fitness evaluation). Often on Sunday afternoons or evenings, there is NO personal trainer on site. Scary, if someone should injures him/herself. There are some serious club members working out here. Club members are polite and respectful of others. No attitude here. Refreshing and always challenging place to work out!

Henrique LIMA: Stay far away from this gym. They are specialized on hidden fees, all the prices are false. I payed 175 dollars for 1month and a half instead of 45+1$ as I was promised. As a non-native english speaker they abused all they could. Every e-mails or office discussions are just false, you heard about the fees from your bank account and not with them, they just keep lying and charge you as long as they can.
Response: Hi Henrique, We appreciate you taking the time to let us know about your billing concerns, we'd like to follow up with you personally. If you could please email HereToHelp@tsiclubs.com (include your name, phone number, club location, copy & paste your review), a member of the Customer Services team will get back to you shortly. Prince George's Sports & Learning Complex: what do users think?

K A: I walked in to create an account and to inquire about the aquatic center. The employee I spoke with at the activities desk was very friendly and courteous making the process seamless and also I was able to take a tour of the facility. It’s a very big and decent facility with various activities such as the fitness center, indoor track, gymnastics and athletic fields. I haven’t used the pool yet but I still highly recommend. Good Service✅ Very Friendly And Courteous Staff✅ ♿️Wheelchair Accessible Entrance✅ 🚻Restroom ♿️Wheelchair Accessible Parking Lot✅

Mark Eldridge: Impressive, modern facilities. We attended for a gymnastics competition. They have each piece of apparatus in duplicate. The organization of spectators was efficiently managed, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Annette Coomber: The entire building is fantastic ‼️ the gymnastics area is fantastic. The swimming pools are wonderful The karate rooms were great. The gym is outstanding. That's all that I saw. The place was bustling with kids and adults alike in classes. SUCH A WONDERFUL CENTER FOR THE COMMUNITY ‼️‼️‼️‼️

Walter Holmes: Clean, organized, a lot activities, and just a gem. I love this place.

Khoai Lang Sung: Big place with many events, although the event set up was not as good for Lego Fest as we expected.

David Dufresne: Nice facility. We were there for state track. Championships.

Anthony Baker: I visited the Prince George's Sport Complex to run in Potomac Valley Masters Track and Field Championships. It was an extremely nice experience. People were very friendly and helpful and the facility was wonderful. Track surface was very good and reasonably fast and comfortable to run on. I took a tour around the building and everything was modern and good. They have a full size weight gym with both free we weights and machines, a beautiful aquatic area, gymnastics gym, basketball courts, meeting room's. All were open higher level observation area and high glass windows and also has a Cafe. Very enjoyable.

Jack Burton: We went to get my 11 y/o son his first COVID shot. The process was smooth, glad to finally see our tax dollars in action!!

D Waldo: The hot tub has been out of commission too long.😒😔. Otherwise the pools are fine & their staff eXemplary!

Jack Harris: Nice layout...clean...awesome police personnel for the track and field events.

Equinox Sports Club Washington, D.C.: what do users think?

Daniel Caroe: Almost at the end of my year membership and will not be renewing simply due to the customer service. In my experience, a good amount of the staff are hard to work with and even snobby at times and its takes multiple calls and requests to get anything changed on my account. Here are a few examples of the troubles I have had: 1) I called twice over the summer to freeze my membership for a few months while I was travelling. They said this would not be a problem and that they would do it.......I called a third time about month later to find out that they did not freeze it and were still charging me. When I told them about the first two times I called, they said they had no recollection of this happening. Kinda a waste of money for me in that case. 2) I was having some trouble with my personal training scheduling and called to get in contact with the PT Manager. I called multiple times over the course of a week and each time they told me he was busy. They assured me I would get a call back from him but this call never came. (kinda annoying he could not take the time for maybe a 15min conversation) 3) I had to cancel a PT session due to illness (strep) which they said meant I would not be charged a cancellation fee for my session. They definitely still charged me, and again, it was impossible to get into contact with the PT manager. Overall, it's a great facility but I find the staff to be pretty inadequate and kinda rude (namely a front desk person named Shaniya and one of the club managers named Dwayne). I loved my trainer Evan (highly recommend) but in the end, I feel like I could get what I need at another gym with a nicer staff.
Response: Hi Daniel, we are very sorry to hear about this experience. It's definitely not what we like to hear. Please connect with us at concierge@equinox.com. We'd love to get additional details regarding this matter and investigate, allowing us to work towards making improvements going forward. Please be sure to mention your review so we can address quickly.

David Gershman: Today I signed up and had a great experience. Mike, in membership, not only showed me around- they answered every question with full clarity, gave me far more insight than I expected, and was simply very nice and sweet. I knew I was going to get a membership going in, but it’s nice to get warmth and comfort instantly upon arrival. Felt like I was one of the regular folks
Response: Hi David, thanks for the 5 stars!

June Wade: Scheduled a spa massage for my friend’s birthday at the Ritz Carlton/ Equinox (Foggy Bottom) location. The staff was courteous and the gym was clean. I was disappointed the spa does not offer champagne or snacks for special occasions, instead we were given “swag bags” full of gym advertisements and trinkets. If you’re not a guest at the hotel, arriving early is highly recommended (parking, etc). Must walk outside to enter Equinox since elevator access to spa is for guest only. My massage therapist was (Donna) friendly, courteous but chatty. I was not interested in talking about where I live, hearing comments about my “poor”elbows🙄 or asking why my shoulders were so tight during my 80 minute massage. Unfortunately , the massage was not good (technique). Ambiance was fair in the room, there was no soothing music or waterfall fountains, just dim lights, and a cool quiet room. The warm bed with robes was a nice perk. Not a fan of the massage lotion (dry paste) used, she had to continuously spend time stepping away from the massage to reapply. I’m giving this spa 3 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️since my girlfriend had a positive experience with her masseuse. In addition, they provided a quiet space and champagne glasses for us to enjoy our BYOB champagne post massage. Would not recommend, lacks luxury for the price. $500+ ( 2 people)

Lauren Arquette: As all the other reviews said, horrible customer service. The club itself is fine, but don't try to bring a guest and don't try to cancel the membership because it's impossible and no one responds. I was a member for all of a week and tried to quit because I was told when signing up a guest of mine could come if I gave them that guests info. Gave them my guests info- they never put it in the system and turned them away at the door without even trying to investigate the problem/track down the person who gave my guest the ok. Was also told they hard certain equipment for rent when they didn't. If this was a planet fitness I wouldn't complain, but this is a $200+/month club that markets itself as elite. Nothing is elite about their customer service. Per the customer agreement you get 15 days to cancel and get a refund- tried emailing the manager for my refund, tried calling the concierge and nothing yet. I'd love to know if they actually even answer the emails they get when they respond to these complaints "sorry to hear about your experience! contact us as at..."
Response: Hi Lauren, please connect with us at Concierge@equinox.com. We would love to get additional details that led to this review so we can investigate closely. We would be happy to discuss this matter with you further if you'd like to share additional feedback. Please be sure to mention your review so we can address quickly.

TPMT Associates: Love it here as usual - they take care of the place and most importantly, the people who works out here take care of the place and is clean and tidy and doesn’t trash the place. As usual, it’s the people who come to gyms that are the messy/dirty and this place doesn’t have those ppl - not that I saw anyways!
Response: Thank you for reviewing!

John Heinemann: You get what you pay for. This gym doesn’t make sense for everyone, no one is a better person for going here, and a free gym in an apartment building is going to do 90% of what Equinox does. But the other 10%? I actually look forward to working out more when there’s both a sauna and a steam room, a saltwater pool, luxury bath products, memory foam floors for stretching, and refrigerators full of Eucalyptus infused face towels. I go for the amenities, and then I just decide to work out because I’m already there.
Response: Thanks for the 5 stars, John! Glad to hear you are enjoying our amenities.

Lena Fleischmann: Lots of amenities (pool, basketball court, steam room, sauna, soulcyle bikes...), good customer service, they constantly make improvements by adding products in the changing rooms like razors, hair ties, curling irons etc. What I don't like about it (apart from the price obviously): it's pretty much packed no matter what time you go which is annoying - wish they had a gadget in the app that would tell you how busy it is beforehand. Also, showers aren't always very clean.

Izabella Ritz: The club has a pool with saltwater which is very convenient, covid safety is great, the thing why I didn't join is no natural lights in a building, which is very important for me personally.
Response: Hi Izabella, we appreciate you taking the time to tell us about your experience. Thank you for the 5 stars and we will be sure to escalate your feedback to the appropriate teams.

Gelila Sebhatu: I called to inquiry about membership packages and I found the sales rep, Erica, a little rude and she did not directly answer my questions, which was irritating. Based on the reviews here, I’m not surprised I received this type of experience. I guess I’ll be looking elsewhere. I just wanted a nearby pool 🏊‍♀️
Response: Hi Gelila, we are sorry to hear you had this experience. We hope that you will give us another shot to show you we are capable of better service.

Ebony Williams: Do not work at equinox if you have living situation or just a situation period the manger Duane don’t care if you have living situation problems he even told one of the employees that mid shift is childish because we all going through something sorry if you hired people who have living situation or who gave problems and be careful of the Towels and hand towels they wash them in hot water only no solution that why the towels look a little dirty Yess I use to work their and got fired because I was trying to find a place to stay the days I called out because I was homeless the cleaning manger is horrible at his job and HR needs to send a Secret Santana to see how they clean the place

Raymond Recreation Center and Playground: what do users think?

Razorfendown: Small park. But a great place to do my daily run. Grass was soft and reduced the impact to my joints that i often get from running on the road.

Malaika M: During the week is the best time to use the track. If you are lucky, you get to have the field to yourself except for a couple of runners popping in. During the weekends the centre is a little Crowded with everything from tennis players, runners, soccer and football players. This place also has a kids play area.

Shadawn Duncan: I take my son to the playground there. He goes to play, I play tennis and then we take a walk around the field. The perfect place for us.

Emmalynn “Big Gurl Lady E” Sharf: I loved how polite the staff are for one. On another note, i enjoy how the system is set up where you got alot of different options. One of my all time favorite is the computer lab. I have been only twice in here and its so quite i can enjoy myself more then a library.

Miguel Garza: Good area to play pick up sports. The tennis and basketball courts are in decent shape, but the turf soccer field is what really stands out. There's usually a group of people playing pick up soccer on any given day.

jaynuze: The soccer fields are really nicely done and maintained. The playground is great for kids as well, though it is focused more for smaller kiddos.

CHARLOTTE CANTRELL: This Recreation center runs an excellent soccer camp! And the front desk staff are the friendliest. It is a sweet place and a bit of a hidden treasure.

Trevor Diaz: After getting a DC license, it will be the best resource you have for non cross-fit fitness in Petworth. Bonus points for you if you're interested in running through DC to all of the other DPR facilities which will be free for you too. Hours aren't as convenient if your only day off is Sunday, but otherwise its a solid place for you, the family, and the rest of the soccer-loving neighborhood.

Dan Rosenbush: Great place to work out that is free for DC residents. They have free weights, kettle bells, various machines, pull up bar, cardio machines, and a basketball court.

johnny Cash: Very nice

Crystal Park Sport&Health: what do users think?

Jeannie Koulizakis: This is my favorite gym in the area. Great pool, great equipment, group classes, they validate parking, towel service. The only way it could be better is if I went as often as I should :)
Response: Hi Jeannie, Thank you for the 5-stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Kyle Manning: Very clean facility with ample equipment and diversity. Staff is extremely courteous and helpfull.
Response: Thank you very much for such a great review! We work very hard to make sure that we are offering the best experience. So happy to hear that our commitment was clear with you!

Anastasia Karimova: Initially I loved this club and the amenities but what they do is fraud. I bought an annual membership in the winter of 2020 before the pandemic. During the pandemic I did not go to the club. I had no idea that they extended my membership and they charged me for the services that I did not use after my initial contract expired. Nobody gave me heads up, nobody communicated with me that I will keep getting charged.
Response: Hello Anastasia and thank you for writing. We appreciate the kind words and we are also always open to constructive feedback. The experience you described sounds frustrating and we'd like to communicate with you directly for clearest communication as well as address any potential misunderstandings please. You can reach our General Manager, Virginia, at cpmgr@sportandhealth.com Thank you.

Apollo Jain: Local personnel here are great but I’ve had consistently poor experience with management and it is far too expensive for what it is.
Response: Hello Apollo, We’re sorry to hear of your less than satisfactory experience and hope you will accept our sincerest apologies. Being known for our great customer service it came as a surprise, and we would like to make things right. Please give us a call to determine how we can provide you with a solution that makes you smile. We value our customers opinions and would like to thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Christopher Nelsen: 9pm closing time will not keep me as a member.
Response: Hi Christopher, We set a high standard for ourselves, and we’re so sorry to hear this was not met in your interaction with our business. Please give us a call at (703) 486-3380 and we will be happy to discuss this issue further.

O S: This is the kind of gym that you want to work out at. It is very spacious (2 floors with variety in equipment and training space), super clean, and has the latest up to date sports equipment. There are jugs of sanitizer throughout the gym. And there also are dispensers near all the pieces of equipment so you can clean them before and after you use them. The front desk staff are always super friendly and welcoming! They go out of their way, when they can. There are plenty of fitness classes and the instructors are very knowledgeable and helpful. Management also rocks! I highly recommend this location and appreciate the staff’s kindness every day!
Response: Thank you for the 5 STARS and aligning positive words about your experience at the club! You made our day OS!

Gregory Smith: Small but great facility for swimming.

Jason Webb: They decided to implement a full mask wearing policy. No notification until arriving at the club. I didn’t bring a mask. They offered to sell me one which is of course a bit insulting at such an expensive gym, but even if it wasn’t I don’t take my wallet to the gym. I asked why I needed a mask as I had been to the gym many times before without one. They stated it was always the requirement since COVID started which was a straight up lie. They later admitted this and walked the statement back. I asked to wear a towel as a mask as I did not have time to return home to get one. Nope. Not good enough. Asked to leave so I did. Good riddance to poor customer service.
Response: Hello Jason! Thank you for writing and for sharing your feedback. We value your opinion and experience very much. Since we re-opened the Clubs, we've had to modify our process and protocol multiple times to adapt to new developments...all ultimately to protect our members and our Team as you can imagine. We understand how frustrating it can be to deal with inconveniences when you're just trying to get in for a workout in the midst of a busy day. We appreciate your understanding of the mask policies. Thank you again for sharing your feedback. We appreciate you choosing Sport & Health.

Jason Garris: Crystal Park Sport&health is the cleanest and safest club out there. I would highly suggest checking them out! From temperature checks as you come in the front entrance, to the extra sanitation stations provided throughout the club, to the new AirPHX machine that kills viruses and bacteria in the air, I wouldn't feel safer anywhere else. The staff is friendly and the price is worth it!
Response: Thank you Jason! Appreciate the shout out!

Fabrizio SCOTTO di SANTOLO: After one year having tried the basic membership and then a more 'robust' package including the personal training, I can definitely recommend this gym also to those who look for professional bodybuiding. Even if most reviews recognize the quality in the other areas, I found a very professional consulting and personal training to exactly get the results I am looking for. The sauna is not unisex as somebody reported and never crowded. The pool is very popular in some moments of the day. Locker rooms are in acceptable conditions even if too many lockers are 'booked' and sometimes it is hard to find a spot. Toilets could receive more attention.
Response: Hi Fabrizio, thank you for your review. We are pleased to hear about your positive experience, and have noted your concerns/suggestions. We hope you continue to reach your fitness goals with us and look forward to seeing you on your next workout!

Capitol Hill Sport&Health: what do users think?

Allison Nielsen: It's a good gym! Lots of equipment and levels so it's kind of spread out and the locker rooms are nice. I will say that the equipment doesn't seem that new and some machines could use some upgrades/repairs (things like the fans don't work on them) but overall I've always enjoyed all the times I've been here!
Response: Thanks Capitol Hill Sport&Health! We are incredibly grateful that you took the time out to leave us this note. Our company values put customer satisfaction as top priority and we are committed to our customers.

Edward Wendel: Great gym and great trainers. I have been using gym since its opening. I am now 81 (yes, I know, old). Have been training for several years with Razonte Dunn. He may be exceptional at training high performing athletes, but he also has a special gift for taking everyone seriously and taking them to the highest level they can achieve. He not only knows the mechanics of training, he communicates a desire to make you succeed that is contagious. This experience has been life-changing.
Response: Hi Edward, Thank you for the 5-stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Asher Allman: Great gym at an affordable rate. Helpful and responsive staff, both in person trainers and with online/email inquiries. All the equipment you would need, and a really cool atmosphere/space. Big fan!
Response: Hi Asher, Thank you for the 5-stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Paxton Helms: Love this place and have been going for years. Lots of room, trainers are great (if you want to use them), changing areas are large and clean, and price is reasonable. I don't do classes but do love that they have a counterweighted dip and pull up machine. They also have parking! Great neighborhood resource.
Response: Thank you very much for such a great review! We work very hard to make sure that we are offering the best experience. So happy to hear that our commitment was clear with you!

Rachael Hunt: I want to give 5 stars to Raz, one of the trainers. I’ve been working out with him in his group classes and it’s been a great experience. He is super enthusiastic and always plans engaging and effective workouts. He is a great motivator. If you are ready to push yourself, he’s the trainer for you.
Response: Hi Rachael, We are happy to hear you had a positive experience at Capitol Hill Sport&Health! We value your input and encourage you to let us know more details about your experience with us.

Flynn Chapman: Love Sport and Health. The gym staff are always friendly and the gym equipment is in good shape. I've trained with Raz for a while now and he's been an excellent trainer getting me in great shape.
Response: Hi Flynn, Thank you for the 5-stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Sam C: I do not recommend this gym, they have terribly dishonest billing practices. It borders on a scam. I requested cancellation of my account during COVID, and was told on the phone that "as a courtesy" they would instead freeze my account until I was ready to start coming back. 3 months later, they started billing me again. Shame on me, I only noticed this 4-5 months later. When I contacted them, they said "you are not eligible for a refund without proof of a previous written request to extend the freeze on your account." Despite the fact I was never told I would need to request an extension. I was never told I needed an extension, I was told to contact them when I wanted to come back. Reading through other reviews, it appears this is a common problem.
Response: Hello [NAME] If you’re open to discussing your experience further, please call us at (202) 234-5678. We’d greatly appreciate the opportunity to make things right and work toward earning back your business.

Lindsey Taylor: This review is specific to Razonte and his semi-private Explosive Performance (EP) Class. I have been taking Raz's EP class once a week for about 4 months and can see a real difference in my strength, how I talk to my body and my confidence in using free weights and the weight room. In total, I have lost about 20 pounds, and Raz's class and his wealth of knowledge absolutely was the catalyst. I have been a life-long fitness class attendee, and when Covid hit, I felt far more lost than I expect as I tried to come up with a consistent workout plan. As gyms in the area open back up I knew I needed to learn the basics of a weight room from a professional. Enter Raz. I couldn't afford personal training, but I could afford EP. I met with Raz and we talk about my goals, and after reviewing the body scan metrics, talked about realistic expectations and set a plan. Sure, the body scan said I needed to lose about 40lbs, but Raz said to me, "Realistically, where can you make small changes in your life that you can maintain to start to move towards whatever goal you have first? That is where we start". I still felt the fun, competitive aspect of group fitness, but I learned the correct form and how much weight I could really throw around, and saw a bunch of non-scale victories that I am very proud of. I think Raz's personality has a lot to do with my success. Each person in the class gets told what weight they should grab for each new movement and each person is getting personally coached or cheered on. You don't feel that lapse of attention, no matter how many people are in the class. There are times when he will push you because he knows you can do more, but never in a way where you feel like you are being yelled at or being called out. He listens to you, offers alternative movements before you have to remind him of your injuries, and all the while picking up on how you like to be motivated. From there he leans in to create a safe space for you to work hard (and it is hard) and push yourself to hit your goals.
Response: Hi Lindsey, Thank you for the 5-stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Andrew Kugle: I've been a member of Capitol Hill Sport & Health for over a year now along with the semi-private Explosive Performance (EP) Class. My trainer Razonte has been phenomenal in getting me back in shape and building more muscle than I've ever had before. At first, I struggled to finish the hour training sessions that I did once a week. But he encouraged me to keep at it and suggested several workouts that I could do on my own on the days I didn't have a EP class. Now, I am able to work throughout an entire session and have increased my classes from one a week to two. If you put in the work and time with Raz, you will notice a difference in your energy level, your strength and overall health. Every few months, we do a check-in to see how much progress we made and I personally have seen my body-fat percentage decrease and my muscle-mass increase over time. While Raz will push you to work hard, he is cognizant of peoples' limits and abilities, prioritizing one's health. He's also a funny and great guy, who gives out constant encouragement and will hold you accountable. In my opinion, the price for the semi-private classes is worth it. You get to workout with a small group of people and you will definitely notice results if you put the time and work in. The gym itself is clean and has all the equipment you will need. The staff is friendly and encouraging to everyone who comes. Highly recommend being a member and taking Raz's sessions. - Andrew K.
Response: Hi Andrew, Thank you for leaving such a wonderful review! We are so happy that you are enjoying your experience with us! It has been a pleasure serving you and we look forward to more great experiences at Sport and Health.

Devon Murphy: Love this gym! Best gym in the area by far. My only recommendation would be to add mirrors in front of ALL the squat racks. It is beyond me why half would have mirrors and half do not.
Response: Hi Devon, On behalf of myself and the team, we are so happy that you are enjoying your experience with us! It has been a pleasure serving you and we look forward to more great experiences at Capitol Hill Sport&Health.

William H Rumsey Aquatic Center: what do users think?

Edward Heid: Clean facilities and they just repaired the mens locker room showers. Still need to fix the entry doors. My neighborhood pool so I love having a “free” pool I can walk to. Bring a lock for your locker, don’t tempt fate. Limited Lap Lanes Monday, Wednesday, & Friday 11:00am-12:30pm 5:30pm-8:30pm Tuesday & Thursday 9:00am-10:30am 5:30pm-8:30pm

Rebecca Oldfield-Frey: A great free municipal pool! Would I eat off the locker room floor? No. But they do a good job keeping the pool clean and between 80 and 83 degrees. I love having access to this space.

Allison Melengic: Nice public pool. Clean. They have an area for family swim and lap lanes for competitive swimmers. The workers aren't very friendly but thats ok. Locker rooms are clean.

Ian Lever: Had a very good experience here on a Saturday morning. It was not too crowded and facilities were in pretty great shape. Nice to have a publicly accessible aquatic center in the neighborhood.

Bobbi DeAnda: Didn’t even take pics because we didn’t stay - broken facilities and freezing. We were told heater on the main pool has been broken for 2 months when we asked why it was so cold (I’m talking ICE BATH COLD). The baby pool is broken as well - for at least 2 years according to someone who works there. I’d consider trying it out again if they fix the facilities but as of now, we will not be back.

Kromeklia Bryant: I often go here to exercise during the week. Weekends can be busy. Avoid at all costs during the summer, unless you are a lap swimmer! Go early anytime before 10 am.

Michael Stern: Credit cards were stolen from my locked gym locker at this pool, and within 1/2 hour over $1,300 was charged on them. There was no security guard/staff checking people in, and the locked door to the men's room was propped open, allowing the thief easy pickings. When the police responded, the manager on-duty didn't know how to operate the security cameras to review footage. I later alerted Parks and Rec, who responded that they were not responsible. Yes, it's nice that we have many public pools in DC, but they should be staffed and secured like any private gym would be.

Tiffany Stevens: Me and my kids just started going here. Its a great workout. If you go early it's not crowded. Parking is a nightmare though. But if you dont mind paying a meter you will be fine. The bathrooms are gross though. Not toilet paper. The floors need to be mopped and bleached bad.

Chris Lundquist: This is a pretty decent pool. It's fantastic that this and other city-run aquatic facilities are completely free as long as you're a DC resident. The lifeguards and other staff are friendly and helpful. I've really enjoyed getting back into swimming on a regular basis. Could it be cleaner (especially in the locker rooms)? For sure, and I hope they work on that. But still, hard to beat this kind of value for free.

cat wu: Rating is base on a Wed. 6-8pm experience. Bathroom was in a very decent condition, floor was not dirty and has soap and paper. There were 4 lanes open even with the team practicing. Pool doesn’t have strong smell and with comfortable temperature. Hope this is not a one time thing.

Nationals Park: what do users think?

Kyle D: Beautiful ballpark. Wide open concourses and plenty of good choices (very pricey though but that’s expected at at a ballpark no matter where you go.) Convenient location close to the Metrorail station. Coming from Boston, this ballpark doesn’t compare to the charm, history, and character of Fenway Park but it is nonetheless a great place to watch a game and it seemed like no matter where you sit, you have a great view.

Elliot Schumacher: National's Park is a classic ballpark, with no crazy field dimensions or other gimmicks used at other ballparks. It is super easy to get to. The metro rail has a stop within sight of the center field entrance. While the Nats do use dynamic ticket pricing to raise costs when playing league rivals or on certain weekends, there are still plenty of affordable options that still give a great view of the game.

George: Great first experience here in DC at National's Stadium. We are Astros fans and had a great experience the past two days, first day sitting lower level for a night game and 2nd day sitting upper level in the shade for a day game. Any/all staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. We ate everything from pizza, chicken tenders, steak of the union sandwich, french fries, hot dogs, and Dippin Dots. Everything we had to eat was good and there were multiple places to choose from, lines were never long when we went. Kids had a blast and we made memories to last a lifetime. Our hotel was within short walking distance which was very convenient getting to and coming back from the game.

Anthony Rinella: Nationals Park is a beautiful stadium, we bought tickets to sit in the PNC Diamond suite and while it was a nice experience and you have great views of the game it doesn't compare to the Legends seats at Yankee stadium. The food options within in the suite are good but not great. In any event, that is a beautiful park to watch a ballgame.

M. Scott Zimmerman: Great view from almost all seats although smallish for 6ft 1 and 230lbs. Food adequate but pricey and varies in quality between vendors. Love the concourse round the main level and the diamond club is nice.

Archbishop Dr Smith Abrams Almasi MDiv DD THD PhD: DC National's Baseball Park...Step into Washington, DC - USA...with 5,378,000 people who now call this region home...according to the 2020 US Census report. Just check it out and tell me what you think… Let's make it plain...straight talk. "DC " has a new makeover from Chocolate City to Ivy City. A new face of life is spreading all over the DC/Maryland/Virginia-Metropolitan area. Real Estate is king in DC.location, location, location. What can I say about this groundbreaking development? It is pleasant to look at. Good look, and good feeling for this new community. Upscale, quiet surrounding. 24/7/365. Close proximity to all transportation points: taxi, service to first class limo, as well as, top-shelf concierge service, metro bus, metro rail, to MARC Train, on to your plane… catching your flight right on time... Reagan International Airport, (BWI Baltimore/Washington, DC International Airport), and even Dulles International Airport. Pet walking trail, everything including for your best friend. Pet park, pet grooming nearby. Spectacular, spacious, fresh atmosphere... This is the feeling of excellence. Be the first one to rent or lease one of these dynamic spaces for your home or for your business. Very nice accommodation, state of the art amenities, galore landscaping. Just beautiful. Upcoming architectural design building for 2022. The surrounding area is also great with plenty of amenities such as shops and popular restaurants.

Cindy Luetkemeier: Great Game! We love the Nats even though they lost today, they put up a good fight!! Pizza was good & the beers were cold!

Christian Matlock: First time at this ball park. I didn’t have a ticket and didn’t know where to get one from. There was a helpful young lady at the front that walked me all the way around the stadium to help me get a ticket. Once I was in, someone greeted me from guest services and gave me a first time certificate and welcome pack. Such a great experience.

Juanita Barnes: I was there for Enchant, a winter display of lights. It also happened to be bring your dog night. Lots of people, cute and sweet, friendly dogs, hot coca, and vendors. Personally, it was nice and worth it, but a one and done kind of event for me.

Henry Garcia: Love the Stadium. And I love the atmosphere there! The people are so nice and the fans are very friendly.

Southern Regional Technology and Recreation Complex: what do users think?

Swii S: Quite impressed with this facility and the staff. If course, it's new but it's also very well maintained. The staff is helpful and Mr. Jermaine has been a rockstar with my kiddo for swimming lessons. My son was more than timid initially, but the each part of the lesson was fun and progressive, building and combining each skill. He looks forward to returning.

Wanye Gretzky: The facility is nice but I was very unpleased by the way they run their teen night program. I'm a local and always go to this rec center. I believe some of the managers don't want us to have fun in a sense because they always give us the short end of the stick when it comes to us. For example, they always close half the gym down and allow us to play basketball on the side where the rims are messed up and some courts are broken. Instead, they have events on the good side where the kids want to play basketball on. I don't think they want kids to really enjoy and have fun with the game of basketball this rec center.

Jay Wilson: This place is awesome for kids and adults. It has kids and adults activities every day of the week and weekend. I advise you to check it out. It's a community base area, the transit comes down this way and you have lots of parking so you don't have to worry about fighting for parking. They have rock wall climbing, indoor track where you can walk around, basketball court, lockers and all the types of aerobic classes. They also have a chill area where you can watch TV or read.

jacquie mcclure: Vera's Restaurant in Lusby is wonderful. Waitress, Mariah is great. Food was FANTASTIC!

Sharon Harper: I went to pick up my home covid test kit and the team WAS AMAZING. A well oil machine and I told each 1 I came in contact with

Denise Odom: Great. I received my 2nd dose of Mederna vaccine. Everything flowed seamlessly. All the workers were nice and personable. I needed wheelchair assistance and had no problem getting one and having assistance pushing me around to where I had to go. Just an all around great professional experience. Made me feel at ease! Even the nurse that gave me the injection I barely felt. Kudos to Southern Regional.

Bernie Rosser: Great place! Had my first Covid 19 vac shot here. After waiting 3 months. Good to know I'll have my second in 30 days. I think we all will be happy to put Covid 19 behind us. All be safe Amen.

Bellelay H.: Seem as though it was a really nice facility big, clean and lots of parking. I thought it very nice how the gym was setup with a nice variety of equipment. I went there for early voting. The volunteers that were there to assist with voting were friendly and helpful. They also had a lot of booths for voting. Let your voice be heard go out and vote.

Brownmagnus olivers: Wonderful complex with good equipment recreation activities

John Gilbert: Very nice complex. We were there to see the Wolfpack wheelchair BB games. They are from San Diego.

Michelle Lemon: Pool is fantastic for littles plus there’s a playground, basketball court and field!

maria johnson: Me and my grandchildren really enjoyed ourselves the field was beautiful and the people were so nice I love our city thank you DPR.

justrenia23: Big area for my daughter to ride her scooter, lots of seating and adult workout area, tennis court, basketball court and soccer field

MrandMrs Mateen: Perfect outdoor pool for small children, toddlers.

Saj Popat: Small field with track, basketball court, and kids playground next to the pool.

James Salt: Great little park with soccer field, basketball court, playground, indoor rec center with air hockey and restrooms. There is a small swimming pool open in the summer, but the staff is somewhat indifferent to customer service expectations.

Dre Hunter: The Life Guard is amazing very helpful Thanks For the Support today for my nephew's Birthday

Angel Myrick: There was bloody teeth sitting next to the poolside. Also bandaids in water and friend got an ear infection with tons of water in her ear after it.

Diana Delgado Vélez: It is very nice but some afternoons and during weekends are several teenagers smoking inside the park. They do not care about babies and children.

Paul Montesano: The pool (like a warm bath) is nice for little ones when it's about 150 degrees. Weird/thoughtless design makes for an unnecessarily crowded space.

Kennedy Recreation Center: what do users think?

Sassy Sauce: This is a great playground and recreation center. The splash park is nice and has plenty for the kids to run around and splash in. There is a kiddie playground ideal for kids 2 and under. Then there is a larger playground for the bigger kids. It’s separate areas but close enough to watch kids on both if needed. There are tennis courts and basket ball courts. The area is generally clean but sometimes you’ll find adults who leave food and drinks on the ground and don’t clean up after themselves. I only give a 4 out of 5 because the place usually has trash on the outside of the play areas near the picnic tables

Carissa Espinosa: This was a perfect playground for my 4 year old. It had lots of things to climb that we're appropriate for her ability level while still being fun and interesting. There's also a larger playground right next to it for older kids; the bigger part has a huge slide appropriate for late elementary age and also some climbing stuff for elementary age kids.

Steven Boyd: Splash pad and playground for kiddos in the city. Park service brought out dreamsicles too!

Melissa G: Really cool spot for the kids to play and get wet!!! We happened to see it passing by. My son enjoyed himself. 🙂

Shante Hawkins: Alwayssssss enjoy taking my boy's 2 the park. Its our favorite.

Eugenia Hernández Ruiz: Lately has been very dirty the playground area. If you go in the afternoon you will see ppl drinking, smoking (all) even having bb (not in the designated area) Is a pity, so many young kids, go there and to let all the dirt INSIDE BOTH playgrounds is just sad

Hernan Cortes: A cute park with good traffic and sizable proportions in a positive scale.

Tierra Foster: (My review is for the playground only because I haven't actually been inside of the rec) My kids love this place. They go to Kipp DC which is right down the street so they always insist that I bring them here after school. The playground by itself is amazing, but when they turn the water on then that bring this place to a whole other level. There's shaded benches that you can sit at to escape the heat while the kids are playing, and alot of time there's a lot of teenagers/grown people that hang around the area, but in my opinion they're harmless and never bother me or any of the kids. I would reccomend this place.

Juanita K: Took my 20 month old to the playground. She had a great time running around and climbing. Lots of things to do. Other children her age seemed to be enjoying themselves as well. The other parents there were friendly. My kid cried when it was time to go lol

Wanda Howard: Great! Noah, my 4-year-old nephew thoroughly enjoyed running around and playing on the various apparatuses (spelling?). I appreciate the "ground". Rather than cement, it's a soft, pliable black top that doesn't injure children should they fall. We also went indoors, where we watched as boys - about 12 to 14 or so - learning to play basketball with coaches patiently instructing.

Marie H Reed Center Pool: what do users think?

HK: Loved the pool, but the locker room lacks most of the amenities you need like towels and soap. And you also need to bring your own lock to use the locker. (Haven’t been to other pools in the neighborhood so not sure if this is normal)

Paul Nolan: The swimming community at Marie Reed is a joy. People are always willing to split the lane when it gets busy, so you can swim at your own pace. The pool is free for DC residents; that makes a big difference for someone like me who swims regularly for exercise. The pool hours are rather strange, so be sure to look ahead before leaving home. I’d love to see the pool open on Sundays too.

Khang Nguyen: My favorite pool in DC.

Rodrigo Fernandez: This is one of the best pools in DC, the location is great and not only is it clean, but the staff, with myriad personalities, are always kind and well organized. During the pandemic it was one of the pools where it felt safer as they followed their own protocols thoroughly.

K W: The pool is great -- 25 yards length-wise. It gets PACKED during 5-7pm -- sometimes three people lap swimming in each lane, with at least one lane left open for kids/teens/lessons. The locker rooms leave much to be desired. The floors are always dirty -- not a place you want to walk around in barefoot unless you don't mind having dirt and hair stuck to your feet. Not a lot of room to change your clothes. Last time, a homeless woman was in there to shower and was talking/cursing to herself -- which I didn't mind too much since she kept to herself. Overall, the pool is great. The services/amenities are extremely barebones.

Tracy Meehleib: Great pool and vibe. Lifeguards play cool music. Nice mixture of people--all ages, sizes, colors. Beautiful aquatic mosaic murals by local Ethiopian artist Amare Selfu.

Kourt DaDoll: nice pool they play great music i went during the evening pretty chill few bad kids but they left ! water is really cold i was in the pool for 20 mins still cold .

AnneKathryn Dalton: I went on a Tuesday evening and really enjoyed the pool. It's not huge, but it was large enough to accommodate everyone there. The temperature was perfect for lap swimming. I'll definitely be going back!

S: Amazing that this pool is free for everyone in the city! Clean and great facilities

Timothy Boudreaux: Locker rooms could use some work but the fantastic water condition makes up for it. Awesome place to swim!

Deanwood Recreation Center: what do users think?

Adriana Martinez: Today 6/17/22 the slide is closed and the waterfalls are not in service today. Last week the middle section of the pool was closed because the floor was peeling, Now Was it fixed? I don't know because today it's open. Why are the waterfalls not on? When will the slides be in service? And will the floors be fixed this fall or winter?

Krista Stormberg: Nice community workout room!

Anthony Baxter: I EMPEROR GOD His Imperial and Royal Majesty Anthony R. Baxter 👑Had a Very Educational ANC Ward 7 Deanwood Meeting experience with awesome customer service from security.

visage03: Nice to have a rec center east of the Anacostia that has everything in one. Gym, pool, library and outdoor turf field for football and baseball. I think it should stay open later though.

Mrs. Pratt: I Love the Deanwood Recreation Center swimming pool and fitness center! The staff is very nice and friendly. The staff does a "GREAT JOB" following the Covid-19 protocols! I had the opportunity to speak with Ms. Marsha Brown the supervisor for this center and she was very helpful in helping me meet all of my needs when I visited. The lifeguard staff is very professional and knows there roles while in service. I was Happy to get a chance to speak with aquatic manager as well very nice, patient, professional, understanding, an kind Gentleman! Warm Regards Deanwood Staff! IMPORTANT NOTES FOR DEANWOOD POOL: 1. The pool can only be accessed through the closest entrance due to Covid-19 protocols. 2.The Pool Is Closed from 1PM- 3PM For cleaning and staff training.

I SLAY ALL DAY TRAVEL The Solo Traveler: It was a great turnout by the Deanwood Day Care Carnival Day. I’m so glad to be a resident of this community.

Rosalind Ward: What a really great place!! Clean, professional, fun and safe! Just lovely!! Went to a neighborhood event here Friday 8/27/21 they had food, live music, kickball, face painting, doubledutch, cheering it was so nice!!! There is also a wonderful exhibit MEN OF CHANGE please if you get a chance stop by. Kudos to the city! I see the positive.

Patricia Stamper: Men of Change exhibit is on display now at the Deanwood Recreation Center!

Austin Graff: Deanwood Recreation Center and Library is a large center right across the street from the Deanwood Metro Station. The building itself is closed due to the pandemic, but the playground outside is open certain hours. I took my toddler there and she loved it. There's a big slide, swings and climbing stations that build confidence in children. It's gated and protected well.

Renita Lake: I have used it several times and I always am able to use the work out facilities. The staff is great, but I do agree that the security is kind of a joke. I have only been asked once to show my my ID contrary to the 100% ID check sign at the front desk, and the kids kind of run amok in the evenings - but they're teenagers and I think their main goal in life is to annoy adults. Other than that, it is a beautiful facility. I enjoy it and what they have available to the community. The support staff in general are all very nice and helpful. I will continue to take advantage of their programs and services as long as I'm in the area.

DC Department of Parks and Recreation: what do users think?

SIR Stock Is Rising: Had me on hold for 30 mins just for no one to pick up the phone. The HR department is a complete joke. The people who answer the phones have a huge attitude problem and make it seem like your bothering them when you call. And thats if you are lucky enough for anyone to answer the phone at all. Horrible experience and my questions still have not been answered.

Urban Capitol Photography: No one answers the phone and when they do the person you need to speak with happens to be at lunch and they don’t know when they’ll be back. How are these government employees? Very unprofessional to say the least.

Allison P.: No one ever answers the phone.. I’ve called twice and been waiting on hold for over 20 minutes each time.

MoneyCounter_28f: Very unprofessional I called to inquire about several positions this morning & been calling for a week to check the status of my applications & the customer service lady Vanessa I believe keeps saying the same thing they are reviewing applications. we are suppose to be helping our people & Dc is suppose to be uniting but they are not helping each other seek employment or going above & beyond to help or even do they job I’m so disappointed!

Andrea Williams: Have left several messages with DPR and no one has returned the call. I continue to call and get voicemail each time! Does anyone work there?

Olivia A. Chase: DPR takes on an intergenerational approach with my family and many families like mine. I am a grandmother raising a grandchild. They generate many programs that are suitable for this type of family. As an example, DPR has various Swim Teams in all 8 Wards of Washington, DC. DPR not only organizes Swim Meets each week; in addition, transportation to the Swim Meets is also provided making it possible for families to engage in the swimmers activities. This also allows families to participate as time keepers or to volunteer their time and energies in various other and sundry ways. Personally, I was ecstatic to be able to CHEER MY SWIMMER ON TO VICTORY!!

idell morse: Does anyone work here?? Today is Thursday 12/28 and I've been calling and leaving messages since Tuesday with no return call.

Eva Salvetti: Pools close because it's TOO hot? Not posted in your website. Always such a mess! When are you guys going to get it together?

Monica Sukhatme: I've called over 10 times and left messages. Nobody has bothered to call me back. Does anyone work there?

Gregory Jackson: I've had a great time at DPR, especially DPR Rec Day when we got to play Bubble Soccer for the first time! Thanks
