Zaytinya by José Andrés: what do users think?

Tilak Kalaria: Had an excellent experience at Zaytinya by Jose Andres. The food was very tasteful and unique. The cocktails were delicious and so was the wine. The menu was expansive so our large group decided on a tasting menu and it was awesome. The tasting menu was vast for the price, we got to try a little big of everything and it all tasted great. Service was slow at the beginning but after we got our first round of drinks the attention to detail picked up. I would normally comment on the dishes I really enjoy but I tried so many things it would be hard to choose. Definitely a spot to check out for some Mediterranean cuisine and I highly recommend it.

Maria Rock: Wow! 🎶 Everything was fantastic. I can’t remember the last time I enjoyed such a wonderful meal. We had a reservation for an afternoon lunch. Upon arrival, we were greeted and seated immediately. The wait staff was courteous and efficient. We let our daughter, Julia, order for our table; everything she suggested was delicious and cooked to perfection. The pacing of the dishes was nice as well; a few dishes were brought out at a time. We weren’t rushed and plates were cleared away between courses. We were there just over an hour and even had dessert. I can’t wait to go again. ✨

Julia Cheung: Food is really fresh and the portions are decent. But it’s a crowded and loud restaurant and when we got to the table for four, which we had reserved, I couldn’t even fit into my seat and I’m not overweight. They had to shift the table for me. Then the food just didn’t fit onto the table top. Since it’s small plates, I would expect there to be more space for all the small plates to fit. The vibe and decor is pretty cool, but I just expected a more polished experience for the price. That said, the food is really well flavored and fresh and I would go back if I were looking for a convenient happy hour place or just needed to meet up with someone. But not for a special occasion.

Yuntian Lu: The food was absolutely amazing! We ordered several small plates and my favorite were the seared halloumi and the taramosalata (cured carp roe spread - trust me, you will think this is ice cream if no one tells you this is fish egg in the first place). Although the portion was small, they were not pricey and we were able to try many different options. The server was very friendly and made recommendations for our first visit. I’d definitely come back and recommend this restaurant to anyone interested in cuisines around the Mediterranean region.

Alicia Bentley: Delicious outdoor lunch during Restaurant Week! Plenty of heaters. Very attentive service staff. They were great with my gluten-free friend. The only issue was the water spilling off the side of the tent, but that didn't affect everyone sitting outside. Only the unlucky few near the edge! Highly recommended.

Gene Farberov: Great restaurant, always packed, reservation recommended. The food is really good its a mixed Greek, Lebanese and some other country kitchen by a celeb chef. The food was really good, the presentation and the taste is a must try for sure. We got good service and really liked our waiter, he made some recommendations on the cocktails which we enjoyed. I will be back on my next trip to Washington DC.

Djordjiana Buric: Mediterranean restaurant by famous Jose Andres, with authentic music in an open high ceiling beautiful space. Food has special spices and therefore different tastes. Warm tin bread with dipping in olive oil to start. Ship with garlic , octopus is delicious so is the chicken soup not traditional taste but different with lemon and egg. Great to try all these completely different tastes. Service is kind but a bit slow so make sure you are not in a rush. Once ordered food comes quickly.

Lyl Rose: I’m a huge fan of JA and determined to eat at every restaurant he has if possible. This was the third I’ve tried when visiting DC. Definitely did not disappoint! Everything top notch. Nice non alcoholic beverage selection. Fresh ingredients in unique dishes bursting with flavor and richness. Can’t go wrong. Service was great. Decent portions and reasonably priced. Easy to eat too much! One day I’ll save room for dessert.

Genesis Christina: This is my absolute favorite restaurant in Washington DC, my fiance and I were so fortunate to stumble across this place. We tried the tasting menu and it was so amazing that we went back on our last day to try more entrees. The service is unmatched and the servers make some great recommendations. Definitely would recommend this cute spot!

Nik Lathia: Wonderful restaurant! The food was fantastic start to finish. We loved all the mezze dishes and the kebab meats were so well done. The Pides were also delicious. We tried multiple cocktails and they were all very good. My favorite dessert was the chocolate rose. Our server was very polite and friendly as well. Can't wait to come back for round two!

Mezè Restaurant: what do users think?

Pandora White: I stopped here for brunch. I got the spinach omelette. The wait staff was amazing. I felt so welcome. The food was so yummy. The atmosphere was super chill and the music choices were nice. It was the type of place, you want to hang out in. Would recommend this to everyone.

Saminda Wijegunawardena: Enjoyed a nice lunch here with another family a couple weekends ago. They have a very solid middle eastern menu with every dish made with some of the freshest ingredients I've seen, it really shows up in the flavor. I had the chicken meatballs and they were quite good, definitely worth a try. Service was very friendly and accommodating, we never felt rushed. Location is good in that it's right next to the only garage, so definitely take advantage if you're driving.

Sezgin Arslan: Best turkish restaurant in washington dc, amazing mediterranean food. I felt so welcome. The food was so yummy. The atmosphere was super chill and the music choices were nice. It was the type of place, you want to hang out in. Would recommend this to everyone.

Nisha Desai: Had an amazing experience here for my bottomless birthday brunch for 14! It was so easy to make the reservation and they kept in touch with me to confirm everything for the day. The waiters are so friendly and professional. They kept the drinks and food coming and overall made my birthday amazing! All 14 people were satisfied with the food and drink options as well as the service, plus the brunch was a great value at $43/pp! Highly recommend!!

Khalil Rahman: The Iskender kebap here is phenomenal - the best I've had outside of Turkey itself. The waiter, Hassan, gladly accommodated my request to prepare the dish the way I'd had it the first time I'd ever tasted it, with tender, juicy chunks of marinated lamb. I was instantly transported back to my vacation in Istanbul. Cozy setting and authentically delicious food. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

Forough Forozanfar: Good service & tasty food! entrées were on the small side for the cost! Very expensive!

Mohammad Shouman: The service here has really improved. The food is fantastic. The kunefe for dessert is a must-try.

Rashaun Parks: Not completely disappointed. My date only ate two bites of her entree. The waitress noticed, and instead of offering a refund or a recommendation she offered her a hot tea. That was the moment that put the 😒Meh in Mezè. (See what I did there?) I thoroughly enjoyed my selection. I recommend the Iskender, although I would probably request that it be prepared over rice next time. I’m willing to give this another chance because I love their (Hot and Cold) drink menu.

Anwar Sadek: I tried the fried calamari app and definitely I will have it there again. The Sis Kebab was just fantastic. Land was just and flavorful. Above all they have the best kunefe I ever tried. Most places have their dessert very sweet but this place has the right balance. That made their bakhlava mouthwatering. Overall loved everything about this place. Excellent customer service!

Merrill H: Had a very nice dinner here on New Year’s Eve. Outdoor seating was warm with a good heater and a solid canopy holding back the rain. The waiter had excellent recommendations and was attentive without intruding on a romantic dinner with my date. The food was great!

Dolce Vita Coastal Mediterranean Cuisine: what do users think?

Lina Abisoghomyan: Unique and well-crafted cuisine with good variety. I will say the portions are small for the price point. Staff was extremely attentive, but sometimes too much so. We paid $200 for two people, getting 3 appetizers, 1 entree, and 1 dessert and we were not entirely full.

Mohammed Al-Marri: I went there last night to have dinner and I must say that the food was the highlight of the place in addition of the ambiance. I got the Truffle Risotto and the Moussaka which both were divine! I have to say that the only thing that bummed me was the price value of such small portion of the food. Other than that, great experience and I’m definitely coming back again!! (just not starving)

Yosvel Blanco Sanchez: What a nice way to end our DC weekend getaway with this amazing culinary experience. La Dolce Vita is a beautiful restaurant with a great atmosphere, by far one of the best fine dining restaurants that we have ever been to. The staff was very attentive to our needs and even though the place was full the food timing was perfect, no delays. We sat next to the kitchen and had the pleasure of meeting the Executive Chef Elier Rodriguez, the presentation of his dishes is unparalleled and everything was delicious, what an artist! Highly recommended!!

Pierre: Excellent experience. Beautiful restaurant and overall ambiance. Julio was a fantastic server. He make specific recommendations for my dietary restrictions and to accomodate my special requests. 5/5 for sure!

Lauren Hunt: Absolutely incredible brunch! The food was fantastic as well as the service (shoutout to Tony)! The plating is beautiful. We got the social brunch for two: Provocative Caprese Salad, Souvlaki Steak & Eggs, and Flan (not a part of the special). My only complaint is the price of a bottle of prosecco on it's own. I would have liked to purchase an extra bottle but it was ridiculously expensive on it's own (more than the whole deal). Will definitely be back.

Charles Hood: This place has it all. Ambiance, decor, atmosphere. You will feel whisked away into a place that you never knew you needed to experience. The service was spot on, the food elegant and deep with authentic and unique flavors, simple with the right ingredients shining all by themselves. Highly recommend the Salt Crusted Dorade. The manager even prepared it table side. Last time I experienced that I was in Venice, Italy. Thanks to our server Tim and to the Manager Ahmed. You made my birthday one to remember.

Jessa L: This place is absolutely stunning. Modern, chic, and even better when the weather is warm and they open up the front of the restaurant. Great happy hour. The bartender, Amber, is exactly what you want when your having a solo drink! She is very sweet and wonderful to talk to. I can't wait to try more food & drinks.

Jackie Ellis: The restaurant is beautiful. It has a unique layout and design. As soon as I walked in there was a band playing music. It gave an old school jazz club vibe which I loved. Our server moved quickly at first but he eventually slowed down to pay attention to our orders. The food was ok, the steak and eggs weren't as flavorful as I would've liked but there were various dipping sauces it came with that made up for it. The potatoes were really good though. My friend had the Crabcake benedict, and again it was ok. Their signature cocktails had a list of which country they were derived from such as Italy or Morocco which was cool.

Jesse: What a great start for this restaurant. Very impressed that they are at full capacity for only being opened for 3 days. Service was very organized, great ambiance, and the food was exceptional.

Sofien Ben Salah: It was our first dinner over there, and it was a wonderful dinner, we liked the food, the service, the servers. it was my wife's birthday and they surprise her by a small Tiramussu chocolat egg, of course it was deliceious too, so this Medeterranian restaurant is Really a WOW restaurant and I recommend Evrybody to visit. thanks Staff, wait our second visit :)

Agora DC: what do users think?

Junaid O: Do you like Mediterranean food?, do you like bottomless brunch?, Well it doesn't get much better than Agora DC. The food is overwhelming in a good way, with the amount of varieties. Everything tested pretty good, fresh and even looked pretty. Perfect for large and small groups, no wonder this restaurant is one of the busiest on weekends for brunch. They could improve the service a bit, I understand it's busy, but one shouldn't have to seat with empty mimosa glass for more than fifteen minutes. Overall highly recommend!

Rajiv Dewan: What a nice place. Sat outside on the patio. It's definitely a happening place. The service was good, even though they were slammed. The food was amazing. Every single dish. Absolutely awesome. The beef sheesh kebabs were particularly great.

Abby Rose: My friend and I are always looking for a unique dining experience and love exploring ethnic cuisine. On a quick trip to DC to see the Cherry Blossoms, we discovered this amazing restaurant. As soon as we entered, there was a subtle, smokey aroma. The ambiance was perfect. Low lighting, an eclectic mix of Indie music, great service- we ate at the bar, gorgeous cocktails and of course the delectable food. We ordered several small plates so we could experience an array of flavors. We stuck with seafood offerings- scallops with caviar, calamari and octopus. We drooled over every morsel. I wish they would open a place in Pittsburgh but for now I have to dream about Agora and can’t wait for my next trip to DC so I can eat there again…Sorry no pic of the scallops- we devoured them before remembering to take a photo!

Rebecca Boulanger: Came here for bottomless brunch and it was INCREDIBLE! For $45 you get bottomless mimosas or bloody Mary’s and bottomless dishes. The staff were super helpful and brought us out one of each dish for the table without us having to ask and the service was prompt - there wasn’t a dip that we didn’t like and the French toast was also delicious! There was never a moment our glasses stayed empty - honestly this place was a steal! Definitely would come back!

Alexia Moran: Amazing amazing food and drinks! The General manager was amazing, she made sure we were having a good time, super friendly. The waiter Lucio was super attentive and gave us delicious recommendations! It was my graduation celebration, and he made sure we were enjoying our meal and brought me a red velvet cake 🎉🎉🎉. Kudos to Lucio!!! 10 out of 10 . Highly recommended. I can’t wait to go back and have the lamb chops, so juicy and tender (and many more drinks)!!

Paolo Verzani: Truly an exceptional restaurant. The perfect balance of hospitality and service. This place is obviously a local favorite—you can tell by how busy it was! It attracts such a great crowd of folk, people who already love Mediterranean food and also those who don’t. The meals are not massive but they are very filling. If you’re a big eater like me do not be worried, you’ll feel full!

Dennisse Carrasquillo: This restaurant is amazing!I have never had this type of food and let me tell you everything that our group had, was great!Lamb chops,Siz Kabobs,Octopus, pita bread, spread sampler!the cheese which they flambe amazing!I dnt even know how to stop complementing this restaurant 🤩.Highly recommend it !

Mark Konings: We spent 6 days in DC for our daughter’s GWU graduation and ate at 6 different restaurants for dinner. The bill each night was pretty similar except for one much higher. Of the six, Agora was my favorite (and it wasn’t the most expensive).

Jorge17C: My experience here was really good, I tried the brunch and basically you can try everything, appetizers, deserts, entrees and deserts. Bottomless mimosas or blody Mary is included in the price ($42 per person) the Greek yogurt parfait and the salmon egg Benedicts were my favorites, is a busy place so you have to make a reservation if you go on the weekends

Emma Rose Wooten: Looooved my birthday experience at Agora. We started with the “sampler” which came with all of their dips and warm pita. That bread was to die for, clearly house-made and a perfect, chewy canvas for the delicious dips. For my main course I had the Adana kebap – once again, fantastic. Everyone at the table ordered a different thing and all loved it. Then for dessert I got the birthday red velvet cake (on the house). The frosting was not sweet, which I actually really liked since it didn’t make us feel sick from all the sugar. The best dessert, though, was that rice pudding!!! Amazing!

Iron Gate Restaurant: what do users think?

Tai Tran: Let me first start off by saying I came to this restaurant from my stylist that morning who hooked me and my date up when I asked, "what's a romantic dinner spot you'd suggest in DC?" And after ordering the delightful meal for two we were given a diverse selection of plates from the first course offerings and additional tasty extras from the chef throughout the dining experience. My hot date and I were celebrating a 6 month anniversary which in some queer relationships is either a really long time or a really short time still worth celebrating (they gave us that cute ice cream at the end). This was a wonderful meal and we were even seated right next to the inside fireplace. Bison tartare, the salads, chef extras, and of course the company of my cute partner made it one of the best meals of my vacation thus far. A great place for a classy romantic dinner.

thomas green: I absolutely loved my experience at Iron Gate last night. This was my first time dining here and I was blown away by the ambiance, service, quality of food and overall amazing location. I would absolutely recommend this as a special or romantic dinner location.

Saeed Mohebbi: Amazing service by John and even better food. The drinks were amazing and the food was absolutely incredible. We went for brunch and we were not disappointed. We can’t wait to come back for dinner. This is a must visit!

Alex Lewis: Went there for a group event. Absolutely amazing food and staff. We had the three course meal and they were hyper conscious about food restrictions and accommodated accordingly. Staff was also super personal and continuously checked on us to make sure everything was taken care of. Also highly recommend their outdoor eating option. It was very warm and beautiful. Cannot wait to come back...

Tony Bliss Taylor: 🙌🏻💥❤️💥🙌🏻 Support local!!! Iron Gate is outstanding and a MUST stop when in the DC area! The atmosphere is romantic and dimly lit! The food is incredible- the photos speak for themselves! Whatever you do in DC - eat here. “Iron Gate chef Anthony Chittum's menu is inspired by his travels through Greece and Italy, and pay homage to many of the incredible local farmers, makers and artisans that hail from the bountiful Mid-Atlantic region. “

Madelon Christiaanse: Great food. Cute location. The chefs menu is actually a great value for money, you get so much food (come hungry)! We loved everything. We requested veg and they brought out fish twice, so that was a mix up.. they were apologetic.

Bianca: This spot has me gasping for air! Last night a GF and I were on the prowl for evening dinner and stumbled upon this enchanting establishment. After passing this spot up for another restaurant up the block, we decided to come back after being mesmerized by the dessert menu. I ordered the Strawberry-Rose Semifreddo, and my pal ordered the Ode to the Opera. Both were divine, and the staff were charming. We felt like we were in a fairytale, how the team engaged with us and how well the food tasted. I am excited for my reservation later next month!

Antoinette Levon: Lovely place to eat. Limited but well crafted menu. Delicious cocktails accompany creative dishes that pair well with the season. We are outside in the courtyard. Even during the winter it's beautiful. The over arching vine must be gorgeous in the summer. The food was absolutely delicious and I would go again.

Tqteacher Peet: What a wonderful epicurean fantasy fulfilled! Just made a reservation based on Fodor's description. Expected nice, maybe "good." Walked in suddenly we were being pampered and cared for like few places know how to do. Do not even look at the menu, just experience the Chef's Table! Each serving will surprise and then delight you. This team of professional dream weavers will never allow your water glass to empty. They will change out your plates and utensils between each course so your palate is able to focus on each exciting nuance of the next course. Be sure to request the whimsical patio and enjoy your own flame 🔥 feature at each table. So romantic. So unexpected, so much more! The food is so well prepared, the presentation perfect, each bite a delight. Make this a must have meal any time you are within 100 miles!

Stacy Walker: This was such a beautiful night! We did the chefs table experience and it was SO good. They respected my dietary restriction (no pork) and made a different dish, which I really appreciate! Dessert was super good, and they brought a special treat for us since we were celebrating a birthday. I'm not a fancy food person, and they answered my questions with no judgement! Loved this place.

Maydan: what do users think?

Ian MacLeod: A great mix of middle eastern cuisine, while feeling completely unique at the same time. Eat here, you won't regret it. It's hands down one of the best restaurants I've experienced. food: beyond delicious, lots of variety drinks: unique and fun staff: wonderful atmosphere: perfect

arun varughese: Interesting high end restaurant for Arabic/Mediterranean cuisine but nothing that justifies the Michelin level prices. I tried Omani shrimp and lamb kebab. Both were excellent dishes. The lamb kebab was perfectly cooked and very tender unlike chewy lamb in other places. The shrimp had a very smoky flavor. Their bread was fresh and had a very unique taste. I loved it. The restaurant has the dishes of Arabic cuisine but not the grandness. Their dishes are small plates but the price is similar to large plates of other similar themed restaurants. Overall, It’s a wonderful restaurant with excellent dishes but the price is definitely not justified. They don’t use rare ingredients like caviar, truffle etc. like other Michelin restaurants.

Jassett M: What a experience! Maydan is everything I heard it was and even more! I went with a good friend of mine who's niece happens to work there and we felt like queens in there! Everyone was so warm & welcoming. We were very fortunate to have a table right by the open kitchen and everything smelled wonderful, but even more the food lived up to the hype! From the various spreads to the open fire roasted meats to the Center Plate & a surprised Baked Sweet Potato topped with Brown Butter. It was all next level! We will definitely be back again and working on our team from work having a holiday party at this venue. Just a wonderful experience all around.

Shamsher: Let me just start by saying this, I have been to several fine dine restaurants in DC and this is the only place that does justice to the money it asks for. What an experience! Let me say that again a little louder… WHAT AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE!!! Just everything is excellent. Excellent service starting with the utmost level of courtesy I have seen with the staff. Very emotional intelligent staff which is rare. The level of detail they all have in describing the food is beyond impressive. Their mindfulness is incredible. I wish I could give only the service 10+ stars. The food was incredible. Everything in this three course meal. The apps were fresh, crispy and each of the condiments were so distinct and flavorful. The lamb was amazingly cooked. Smoky and mild just the way I love a nice grilled piece of lamb shoulder. The kebabs were outstanding. Specially the beef kebab. The amount of taste and texture on that kebab was outstanding. The desserts were not super impressive but I can get down with that as I don’t have much of a sweet tooth. Maydan should be a must experience for all restaurant goers. Again, the only fine dining and Michelin star place I have been that does justice to the money it asks for.

Jacqueline Telljohann: A friend recommended this spot to us, but unfortunately, we didn't plan very far ahead for our trip, so there were no reservations available. I set an alert and was able to book one when it opened up last minute. We got the Tawle menu with the Grilled Butterflied Bronzini as our center plate. The meal is $75/person with your choice of one center plate. It was a lot of food, so I thought it was worth the price. My favorite things were the spreads (all 3 of them), the Halloumi, the Koobideh, and the Chicken Shish Taouk. I love that they give you as much bread as you want so you don't have to try to conserve a few pieces. I wish there were a cheaper option with no center plate because we were already full by the time ours came and I really didn't need that much food. We eat once a day and usually eat more than most in a single meal, so I would be surprised if most people finish the meal. The outdoor seating area is in the alley and we really enjoyed it. It was quiet since it was off the main street. Overall, we loved the experience and would definitely recommend it.

Abhinav Joshi: You don't go to eat at Maydan @ DC, you go there for the experience. The way it works is that they have a fixed "Tawle" menu which gives you a fixed course meal, but, with a ginormous amount of food. Everything we had was well done and looked amazing! DEFINITELY BOOK AN INDOOR TABLE. NEVER get the outdoor table!

Tala Mahmoud: Hands down one of the best food spots in DC. The meat was incredibly tender and full of unique flavors. The dips and condiments complimented the rest of the food exceptionally. Highly recommended.

Zeyu Hu: Eating at Maydan is a culinary journey. It is a journey into middle eastern cuisine that makes you satisfied when you leave. I highly recommend getting the Tawle, which is a 4 course meal and gives you a huge variety of food. You start off with things “From the Kitchen” which is a variety of pickled veggies, honey dates, herb plate, and cauliflower Tabboulet. In addition a variety of spreads including Hummus, Muhamarra, and Walnut Casik. These were an amazing introduction and each complimented each other very well. Next was “From the Fire” which included a beef and chicken kabob, halloumi, and seasonally roasted veggies (asparagus in this case). Wrapping these in the warm bread that was provided was so good. Finally the center plate - which we got lamb shoulder was phenomenal. It was fall off the bone and the meat melts in your mouth. It was a huge portion which we weren’t able to finish so had to take it back home for lunch the next day. When we thought that was the end of the meal, we got a surprise course of dessert. It was a nice cake and a great moose. It wasn’t that sweet so it balanced the end of the meal perfectly. Highly recommend visiting this place and the service was impeccable. The Michelin Star is for sure deserved. Be sure to make reservations right as they open as it gets booked out very fast!

Cecilia Tejeda: Every dish is made with such perfection! You can play, combine flavors and share with friends and family as it's plenty. My only recommendation is go easy on the bread it's delicious but if you can stuff yourself really easily just with that 😉 !!!

Gregory Moran: Thanks for your help making a great evening with both food and atmosphere! Maydan is now one of our favorite restaurants and we've made a list of friends and family who we want to bring with us when we come back! Everything on the Tawle ("Table") menu was phenomenal, including each of the dips. We're very much looking forward to eating there again soon!

Roti: what do users think?

Fábio Mariano: Awesome place for a quick Mediterranean lunch! Great options for all dietary restrictions.
Response: Thanks so much for the five stars and the amazing note about our food! We are so happy you were feeling the vibe. Come back again soon! :)

S “farmax” Rhee: Average mediterranean food. Falafels seem to be factory made from a supermarket. Service is horrible.
Response: Hey S! Thank you so much for taking the time to rate us! Please contact help@roti.com with any feedback or suggestions you may have to make your visit even better next time! Hope to have you back soon!

Latrice Basden-Clarke: I’m eating the Flip The Bird as I write this. The food is fresh and aromatic - very well seasoned! Truly delicious! The staff was pleasant and the environment was very contemporary but comfortable and laid back. The space was very clean as well - I’ll be coming back!
Response: Thank you for the amazing review! See ya again soon!

Raj Ch: Get ready to pay money to get disrespected. Food is average but first learn to treat your customers with respect and dignity. Just as few other reviewers have already pointed the female waitress was super rude to us. If you are working in a restaurant, learn what the titles of food you are serving means. I wanted "flip the bird" and I asked if it is a wrap or bowl as it says chicken roti (roti means bread/tortilla ). She replied in a very rude way. Throughout the ordering her responses were extremely rude and unwelcoming. I was pointing my finger as to which food I want (my fingers were probably not even a few millimetres off the counter top) and I was asked super rudely not to have my fingers to off the counter top. As a whole, if I were the owner of this place, I would not let her continue working here for me anymore if she continues to treat customers with disrespect. Remember, you guys are not giving us food for free. Being respectful is the minimum you guys could do. I would never ever come back to this place again an would not recommend it! Change in character/ behaviour is the best apology. You can't keep apologizing and continue to have the same people working for you. It just means that you don't care as an owner.

Tracy Harding: Hi, I had to go back to this wonderful place. The workers are very nice and the manager helped me as I dropped my cup and gave me a new one. The food is just healthy.
Response: Glad to learn your experience was a positive one. We look forward to serving you again soon!

D Brown: Unfortunately not as good as the previous times I ate here. Paid $16 for a Rice Bowl where the portions were as minimal as possible and food was just not as flavorful, fresh or as warm as it should be. Falafels were too mushy for me. I prefer a more crunchy outside with a soft center and I expected them to be served warm. I hope this location steps up their game because this is usually a good establishment to enjoy affordable Mediterranean food.
Response: Thank you so much for leaving us such a detailed review! It sounds like we really let you down on portions as well as our falafel, which is just not okay. I will let the manager know! Please also email me at hello@roti.com so that I can refund you!

bloodlust red: Good food & Reasonable price for DC. Not enough meat but healthy & tasty & good portion. You can go for pita or rice bowl. My recommendation would be rice bowl. Variety of side & you can go for all of those side without extra charge which makes it a good portion. Recommendable for quick & simple supper.

Miguel Curiel: Healthy and tasty food and a great (affordable) price! Plus, great location in the heart of Foggy Bottom.
Response: We appreciate the positive feedback. It means a lot. See you soon!

Zakhe Chamane: My first time eating at Roti, I can say I wasn’t pleased with what I found in my food. A piece of plastic which was mixed with the lamb.
Response: Thank you so much for bringing this to our attention. I am so sorry this happened to you! Please email us the details at help@roti.com so that we can make it right!

Shaina Z: Great food! Fresh food!! Everything is prepared in front of you. The only reason I give it four stars instead of five stars is the service. The servers didn’t explain much and I kept finding myself asking questions, and they seem a little annoyed.

Sospeso: what do users think?

Katie Nathan: Not to familiar with the Area, but went after Van gough Experience. This was one of those hidden gems! Wonderful staff and chef brought food out himself! High quality food and service! If you’re looking for an authentic Mediterranean experience, go here! Loved it!

Josh Poland: Really excellent Turkish-centric Mediterranean food. We enjoyed everything we ordered and the service was very nice. There are some really small things that could be improved. They used cleaner on nearby tables with a strong odor. The lamb burger (which I highly recommend) was placed on a cold salad plate, so the bottom of the burger was cold. There were some particulates in the coffee. Overall we loved it but hope these things improve.

Marina Dmitrieva: Very nice and quiet place. I like the atmosphere and service. I’m not familiar with Turkish food but my octopus was burnt and bread also had black marks.

Hannah Solomon: Drinks were great, food was tasty. I loved the burrata especially (the octopus was good but i always feel guilty eating the smart buggers). Kudos to the bartenders who put up with the dude I was on an awful first date with lolllll. Also for not laughing when he asked for a quesadilla. 10/10 will just go by myself next time.

Jemutai Sitienei: The best bourbon cocktails I’ve had in town!!! Great for brunch and great vibes. The sandwich Lamb w harissa threw me off a bit - but my friends loved the shakshuka, omlette etc.

V Glenn: The Sea Bass was excellent. My companion's chicken was very good as well. I would have preferred if the entrees were accompanied by some type of side. But the what was served was very good and the atmosphere was nice too.

Matthew Gorham: Great brunch; creative cocktails and yummy food. Ended with the olive oil cake which was magnificent. Overall great atmosphere; staff was attentive and friendly. Highly recommend for a fun and tasty H st restaurant!

Martin Lucero: This is review of those Union Market fast casual pop-up. Delicious and authentic! Very fast service.

Mary Lynn Forte: Was looking forward to a great meal from reading the reviews. Mezze platter was small and mediocre. Instead of pita bread we got bread with burn marks. Dessert of baklava was stale and so tiny. Dessert was taken as to go or I would have asked for a do over. Warm water served. It was my birthday dinner and it was disappointing.
Response: Hi Mary, We are very sorry to hear that your birthday dinner was a disappointing experience. Have you communicated your complaints with our service staff?

Michael Huang: Take out from Sospeso! Grateful to have them in the neighborhood. The food is absolutely delicious and the restaurant staff takes great care to make it an easy experience: online ordering, cashless payment, curbside pick up, photos of the food on google maps. The people here are super friendly and make a great cup of coffee. Stop by.

shan gui: We got brunch here! Bottomless mimosa made me 70% drunk…We ordered different snack, egg, and dessert for our own and shared with each other, so that we almost tried whole brunch menu! The food is great and the environment is lovely!

Mark Orebiyi: My friend Jake and I went to Ala to celebrate him getting off the night shift as a PA. The Mediterranean style meal was exactly what we were looking for. The host and waiter were nice. The location was not to busy. We tried the red snapper and the lamb. I was impressed. Looking forward to coming back.

Nu S: Fresh food and coffee! During the week the coffee shop is open and during the evening and weekends the restaurant is open. Beautiful outdoor patio seating and a refined indoor dining area. The coffee shop has stuffed croissants and other small bites to eat like grape leaves and hummus. There is a small boutique in the shop where you can buy premixed cocktails to go, wine, beer, spices, and all sorts of lovely Turkish and Mediterranean products for sale! They helped me put together a gift for a friend.

Diyi Zhang: First of all, the food was exquisite, the best Mediterranean food I've ever had. All the dishes in the photos I provided are amazing! Second, The server, Ali, was the kindest server I've ever met. He even offered us some Turkish tea on him!!! Definitely will come back when we are back to D.C. again in the near future.

Gabriel Mata: I came here for a bottomless brunch, it was absolutely a great deal and I feel like I tried every dish that they had. The food was amazing and I wish I had captured an image of everything. We had amazing servers that were very attentive and even funny. I highly recommend it and I look forward to coming back again.

Kayla N: My friend and I came for unlimited brunch and oh my gosh. From reading the reviews I expected it to be good, but no. The quality was 10/10 hands down AMAZING. You’d expect for unlimited brunch the dishes wouldn’t be top quality but NO. They were TOP quality. You can really tell every dish they brought out how much detail and effort was put into the dish. The flavors complimented each other exquisitely, the ingredients were fresh, the menu items were so special and delicious. It’s rare to find mediterranean food like this, at least from my experience. Our waitress was professional and pleasant, and timed everything well when sending for the next set of dishes for us. The portions were perfect, as with unlimited anything, it’s easy to overeat or be so stuffed by the time the main course comes out you’re no longer hungry. I also don’t like unecessary food waste, so these portions were the perfect size to both taste each item, see what you like and order more, and keep food waste to a minimum. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who has yet to try authentic, unique, fresh and delicious mediterranean cuisine. For the price you pay, the quality is unbeatable. Side note: My friend is gluten-free and they were great at accommodating to her needs and specifiying which dishes she could have.

Abdul Nomad: This is by far the best restaurant in DC! I go out to eat a lot so claiming this is huge. The aesthetics/ design is so beautiful. I felt like I was transported to a garden! The customer service was perfect! Our server gave us great suggestions and was always checking in. The food was to die for! From the meats, to the pita and even the puffy bread they serve…perfect 👌🏼 🏻

Jarsips: The short ribs were INCREDIBLE, Mante was delicious, Feci - it was all fantastic. Best Mediterranean cuisine I have had in a very long time. Cocktails are also spectacular. Upscale atmosphere and a must eat if you are in the area.

Sergio Calderone: Our visit was on a Sunday / Bottomless brunch. The food was excellent, a variety of quality Mediterranean food. Desserts were also really good, especially the chocolate mousse. Bugrahan and the rest of the staff did an amazing job! Definitely recommend a visit

Geneva: Nice food, good service, and lovely decor. The outdoor patio is cozy and well covered. We sat outside during a thunderstorm and not a drop rained down on us. They also have a coffee bar that sells juices, wine, and snacks.

Honey: Great, quick Mediterranean spot. The original falafel is really good, not too much cumin like some people do.... and the fries are really good. Jasmine was wonderful and super helpful as I was placing my order. and this place definitely in my takeout rotation.
Response: Thank you so much! We are so glad you enjoyed and can't wait to see you back soon!

Colin H: This is a conveniently located, good tasting, Mediterranian food location right next to DuPont Circle. The food is tasty and unique, and the servers are very helpful to individuals who are new customers to the location. The various food, and flavors work well together. I would recommend this location to anyone who would like to go on a food journey around the world.

Andrew Windheim: I really liked this place. We had bowls, which were tasty and filling. I had the falafel, which is the founder's specialty and the springboard to the success of their first shop in NYC. And I can see why! They have two types (harissa and green), both were fantastic. My wife had the roasted chicken which was also good, but go for the falafel! Interesting, plant based desserts from Sweet Nothings, which were really good also. Highly recommend.
Response: Thank you, Andrew!

Jennifer Schneider: Ordered delivery and received 2 build your own bowls that each had ingredients added that we didn’t order. One bowl just had cabbage added - fine, but not ideal. The other bowl had a hard boiled egg added, which is actually very problematic because of egg allergies. Wouldn’t recommend this place if you have any food allergies.
Response: Hi Jennifer - We're so sorry to hear about this as we take food allergies very seriously. We will absolutely make this right for you. Could you please email us directly at info@taimfalafel.com so we can make it right? Thank you! Leslie

J Foodgeek: Decent Fast food falafel. They have chicken too. The falafel isn't crispy, but it's still good enough for a quick bite.

Tamanna joshi: Their bowls have the best portion of hummus I have ever had! I am taking a star off cause the delivery takes a bit too much of waiting for this delicious bowl! Good vegan options !
Response: We're so glad that you enjoyed the hummus, it is one of our favorite items! Thank you!

Will Shilton: Friendly and accommodating service. The food was excellent, very fresh and delicious. I did wait 10 mins, but I ordered 4 bowls with lots of add ons, so for a single bowl I would think it would be a lot quicker. I will definitely be going back.

P Takehara: The food is super tasty! Simple and delicious.

Erica Schneider: Positively delicious in every way! The falafels are little balls of perfection (both flavors). The baklava exceptionally flaky and gooey with honey. The bowls are filled with flavor and the selection of ingredients to choose from is fantastic! Pickles? Interesting and a fun choice. I had the couscous mixed with hummus as a base. Super creamy and filling. Perfect for a quick lunch or light dinner. Delivery was super fast! Bravo Chef, keep doing what you’re doing!
Response: Hi Erica, THANK YOU! It makes us so happy to see your review and know how much you enjoyed everything!!

Leandra Olson: Delicious, fresh Mediterranean bowls and pitas that are packed with flavor. Fast and friendly service. Can’t wait to come back!

John Hughes: Cava salads are always good, but this location often underfill on delivery orders compared to other locations. Salads are often less than half filled. Order from a different location.

Charlotte H: Always excellent food, always great attention to detail. There’s an employee named Elmer, who is great, speedy, and welcoming—he always remembers me and makes the process feel both personalized and efficient. Really appreciate how much he gives to his work and the customer experience!

Maxwell Hoffman: I've never written a Google review before, but Cava is a tasty, quick, healthy option with a very friendly and professional staff. As many other reviewers have appropriately noted, Elmer is a particularly friendly team-member who always goes above and beyond. A great addition to the community!

Nastassja Bourbour: I LOVE Cava. I finally got to have Cava again after living with none nearby for two years, and Elmer helped me fall right back into the swing of things with his welcoming disposition and helpful walkthroughs of all the delicious options. I feel like I’ve made a new friend! And I can tell by the other reviews here that I’m not the only one ☺️ I’ll be back for more soon!

Ethan H: Excellent customer service and delicious, healthy food! I always come here after working out and I'm consistently greeted by warm, friendly, and familiar faces. Elmer goes above and beyond and is very kind every time I come to visit.

Kaleab Getaneh: Elmer gave as extant service, I love Cava

Jacob Hollander: Great service, even better food! Elmer is very friendly and provides great customer service, thank you for a great experience, will definitely keep coming back

Elisa Navarro: Cava is a great, healthy, and savory meal option that never disappoints! Always leaves me full, and I can't seem to stay away for too long! The staff at Cava in Columbia heights is super friendly, it is always an enjoyable experience. In particular, Elmer is outstanding! He provides the best service and always takes the time to ask you about your day and how you're doing! His smile brightens our day as customers!

estefany rodriguez: This is one of my favorite places to go for a salad they have a very good choices and I love all of their dressings and also this girl Bertha always has a friendly service.

Joshua Darr: Wow! I am over the moon with this location! I moved recently to Columbia Heights from MD, and I was so excited that there was a Cava right down the street! This location has such a warm inviting vibe as soon as you walk in. I always get the chicken, but this time I got the spicy meatballs, AND THEY WERE WORTH IT! Not gonna lie, I've been back every day since! The staff is nice and even though they look busy, they take their time to cater to the guest. Thanks so much for making my experience amazing! Definitely check them out!

Yafa Grille: what do users think?

Melissa MacGregor: This is always one of favorite places to grab lunch to go. The food is super fresh and tasty. The staff is also very helpful and nice. Definitely check it out if you are in the area!

Louis Leo: Nice little place nestled under McPherson Metro - limited menu of salads, wraps and pitas. If they expand selection, 5 stars for what it is. You will be pleased with the wraps. While the meat filling of steak or chicken is very good, or perhaps falafel, the gem of Yafa Grille is the veggie toppings. There are nearly 2 dozen to choose from and they are all fresh and flavorful. You can nearly taste every veggie distinctly. The meat is almost a side thought but DO get a meat as all veggie is no cheaper. Very tasty, you will leave happy -wraps are good and large, try it!

Andrew Stacey: I work down the street and was looking for a good place for lunch to grab a bite that wasnt a burger spot. Shawarma sounded great. Yafa is a quick lunch counter style place that gets you in and out. The staff is nice and keeps the line moving. I got a rice bowl with lamb and added hummus and other vegetables. Very tasty and filling. I would go back. Only draw backs were the food could have been a little warmer and they charged for the pita bread (whole piece) which I thought came with it. Out the door my meal was $11 and change.

Zeynep: I loved this place! The staff was very friendly and helpful, they helped with my decision, as I was a little lost. The falafel was really good, the greens and sauces they put in where fresh and very tasty. The fries were very crispy and yummy. They also have different fountain drinks which I really liked.

Shrishti Pachigalla: My new favorite place for shawarma!! Loved every bite, a must visit! It tastes just as good as it looks!

Lou Fegans: Friendly staff and a great value right in the heart of downtown.

Teresa Day-Smith: This place is CLOSED. We arrived at 6:01 on a Thursday. Walked many blocks - but it is closed. Their hours are even scratched out on their door.
Response: Sorry for the inconvenience. The building had electrical issue and had to close early. Also our hours of operation have changed since the pandemic which is also listed. We will be closed for the 4th of July and reopen Tuesday. Sry again and have a safe 4th!

Brett Syndergaard: Their rice bowls are 10000000 times better than Chipotle's.

benflyin: The guy was super rude. We walked out without eating. Do not recommend.
Response: Sry for the inconvenience. Not sure which location but if it was mine we are still under staffed and working really hard to make sure we accommodate everyone because of the pandemic. I wasn’t being rude and I’m sorry you took it that way. 20 ppl in line and short handed I can only give my attention to the person I’m working with. Thank you and sorry again!

Brian St George: Closed when they said they would be open. I suggested to the folks working there that they should update their hours, but they did not seem concerned.

Byblos Deli: what do users think?

Josh Roberts: Byblos is a good little spot that you might not notice if you were just walking by. It doesn't call a lot of attention to itself but the food is tasty and affordable by DC standards. I had the Kafta Kebab and fries. The kebab was seasoned well and included exceptionally creamy hummus, as well as tomatoes, onions, and beef The fries were cut thick, lightly salted, and fried optimally (personally I don't like it when fries are super crispy, but these were great). Also a highlight (at least for me) was that Byblos carried Stewart's soda, which is some of the best you can get in my opinion, and is sweetened purely with cane sugar. On top of everything, the server was friendly, and the food was prepared quickly. I would definitely come here again if I wanted to grab a quick bite.

Lynn Adams: This place is the best! If you want a REAL GYRO this will satisfy your taste buds. I received a special order from here. GYRO meat with grilled onions & peppers. When I say it was fantastic there is no other reason to anywhere else.

Catrice Barnes: I originally wanted the chicken wings special with fries&soda, but they didn't have the wings, so I settled for chicken tenders. I also got the barley soup, and baklava. It was all very good. The tenders were seasoned just right, and the baklava was delicious!!! I recommend this place. Very friendly cook. He did a great job!! Next time I'll try the Byblos special!! 👍

AB: As I handed over the $100 bill to the man over the counter after being handed over the sandwich, he looked at it disdainfully, looked at it against light and asked me, "Printed in India" ? I have to admit, not having gone through Middle School and High School in the US, I am perennially ill-prepared to deal with such verbal blows. And of course, my subcontinental identity is written all over me and the way I speak. So it was bull's eye for the man ! However, I mustered the courage and said, "No". He was not to be taken down. He tried next, "Printed in China?" By that time, I had collected all my grit from suffering twenty years of on and off racial abuse in the US and responded, "What makes you think it is printed in China?" He was probably not used to a response hurled back at him from brown people. Taken slightly aback, he asked " Do you want to hear a joke ?" And then proceeded to share some joke about how in Armenia (or wherever ) they had mass printed counterfeit bills. From the reviews that I see here, it seems that he is selective in choosing his target. Good for him and his business. Sandwich was good, 4 stars; sadly I can take away only 3 for the racism.

Libby Brungardt: Absolutely lovely place! The food was delicious, the worker (or owner, I'm not sure) was friendly, and the service was fast. My partner and I ordered falafel pitas, and a soda and spent $23 (with tax and tip included) in total. The owner brought out a FREE order of fries after we got our food too!! It was incredibly kind. I think it may have been because we were the only ones in the store when we went (4:30 pm on a Monday) lol. Definitely would go again!!!!

Ismael Alvarado: Byblos is delicious and worth the ride from Maryland into DC. Try their chicken shwarma as it is juicy with authentic sauces. I wish we had the Mediterranean weather here year-round to enjoy this place more often as the outside seating is lovely.

Franklyn Benjamin: We took our last summer intern out for lunch. We all enjoyed the food and felt that the food tasted very good and was homemade. The service was good, the wait for food varied for example the gyros came out quickly while the special took 5-10 minutes longer. One, thing that we were disheartened by was that they only had a 2 pieces of Baklava left while there were 8 people in our party. I will say I enjoyed the piece that I got.

Jennifer Parker: Really good food, but twice now I've driven all the way over there (or taken the long metro ride) for lunch only to find them closed when they were supposed to be open. Are they only open for dinner now??

Matt A: This place was bomb! Was driving around Northwest and saw the reviews on Google... Very impressed. The grape leaves were great, the baba was smokey and fresh, and the hummus was excellent and creamy. The gyro was also quite good but I will definitely give the chicken souvlaki a try next time. This place is awesome.

Brittany M: Awesome food - owner is a cool guy. The entire upper nw knows him. Just go, the food is great

Yayla Bistro: what do users think?

Mafudia Pek: I loved this place ! We just got to VA from NY and we were starving. We ordered food 15 minutes to closing but the gentleman was so nice , did not seem annoyed at all. And the food was FRESH , all the spices and seasoning. I would definitely go again . We had a dinner meal for two .

Omar Abdelrehim: First of all, this place is pretty popular and you will need a reservation if you're trying to go didn't active dinner or lunch times. The atmosphere is nice calm and relaxing with adequate lighting. The space is cozy with enough space between the tables. The service was great, our server constantly came to check on us, we never had empty glasses of water or lack of condiments, such as bread (which was very good) and the crushed olive spread. We ordered a platter with all of the meat options, which was very delicious and plentiful. Food was cooked as we requested and the presentation of the food was appetizing. Nonetheless we barely finished our food, not sure how we finished all that food. It will be a place that we visit again. We would recommend this place to anyone interested in quality Turkish food.

Rose Calegari: The food here is exceptional! Fresh, very well seasoned and an overall beautiful dinning experience. Would come as often as every week! Delicious!

yesim yilmazer: We love this place. Great food very reasonable prices and friendly staff. They have variety of selections from kabobs to vegetarian dishes. Make sure you leave room for kunefe (desert) and Turkish coffee. It is the best way to end your dining experience. This time of year, patio seating is very relaxing. Thumbs up. Five star all the way!

Kosta: Fantastic spot, great patio and atmosphere, excellent food, and great drinks (who knew Turkey made such awesome wine?!). Our waiter, Haze, was superb - attentive, helpful and just genuinely nice - service went above and beyond in general. Overall, excellent experience for all three generations of the family, will undoubtedly be back!

Coffeeloveronly Me: I came here 2 times and everything was great! Food, atmosphere, staff, service..! I tried Adana Kabob, Iskender Kabob (Saturdays only), Mixed grilled platter, Lahmajun, Babaghanous.. All of them were delicious! (Adana kabob was the best, the taste is like the one in Turkey!) Also, Melek is wonderful, she cared about my daughters comfort.. checked her chair, gave her a drawing paper crayons..She was so welcoming and friendly. Melek is doing her best! I can’t wait to come again! Thank you the owner and everyone who works in Yayla Bistro!

Kristine Schmit: Yayla was such a wonderful treat! We were looking for something new to try and found something absolutely welcoming and delicious. All the food was scrumptious and the wine was lovely. But complementing the fabulous menu was the gracious hospitality of the staff. Definitely recommend.

Chegi Farroh (TechnoCheck): I discovered this place two days ago and since then I’ve been here three times already! You guess how good it is 😊

Debra Powell: This is one of my favorite restaurants in my neighborhood it is definitely comfort food, the food warms your body and soul. I love all the entrées and especially the grilled calamari and the bread. The Turkish tea is a well keep secret where I have drank two large pitcher during a visit in the winter. The rice pudding is also my favorite dessert.

Meia Harris: I came here for the first time and I'm so glad I did! The atmosphere here was great as well as the food. We started with three spreads that all tasted delicious and fresh. The bread they bring you is so good as well. I had kofte for my entree which was also very good. It was light enough that I didn't feel terrible after eating it. The people I dined with gave rave reviews about the branzino, but I did not try it. We finished off with baklava which was good and the cream really added something special. the pistachio ice cream was also delicious. Their menu also has many items suitable for vegetarians, so if you or someone you are dining with is vegetarian this spot is a great option for compromise.

CAVA: what do users think?

R Lin: 4 words- party in your mouth! I love this fresh take on a Chipotle but almost Mediterranean style/ maybe a tad bit healthier. The line was quick and efficient and I had a great experience overall. I gotta be honest: I really don’t know half of what was in my bowl or what I was putting in my mouth. What I do know: it tasted FANTASTIC. Like I said, a whole party of flavors, sweet, salty, crunchy, creamy, leafy, all the textures and flavors and it just worked. Their specialty lemonade/ flavored drink things were also phenomenal and so refreshing, and super good for you. If I lived in the area Cava would be a place I’d hit up pretty frequently!

Clayton Meyer: This CAVA is generally pretty good. The line moves quick, the restaurant is clean, and the staff is pretty friendly. I probably eat here 2 times a week for lunch. I am giving 4 stars because the consistency of portion sizing varies significantly between servers, which is not uncommon among fast casual restaurants.

Tamanna joshi: This is my go to place. Their vegans bowls rock and are pocket friendly. Not only they provide good value but their food quality is amazing too ! Love it !

Fabian Malone: Its Saturday was in a rush & running late to work and managed to leave my wallet at home. Started to ask if they take cash app or google pay and started into my Phone the mgr Tayvon just say enjoy your meal. Its on us. That made my day much better. That was service above and beyond. I will be eating More Cava more often

Xavier Barnes: You remember when chipotle was new and exciting and every store was super hip and and the food was awesome? Imagine that but for Greek food. Cava is great, every store, each a different and cool design. Service is always fantastic, quick, friendly, and helpful. The food is great, can be healthy depending on what you order, and consistently delicious (unlike Mezze, Roti). Also cheap for the area and what you get ($10ish). Seriously, try it!

Chelsea Andrews: I love going to this place! When I need a nice healthy meal this place takes the cake. I love greens and I love grains. I love the combination option. Sometimes they can be a little skimpy on the toppings- like yesterday when I went and I kept having to say a little more please after each time. The worker was catching a slight attitude but since I am trying to be a better person I didnt call her out on it or let it effect my mood. Price is reasonable, parking can be tough. Love the place. Cava supervisor if you see this, please tell employees dont get mad if I want a little more banana peppers =) Thank you!!

Samson Berhe: I am regular customer for cava ,when ever I come the restaurant this location make fun of my accent, treat me different very rude service

Khoi Nguyen: Great location. Amazing food and quality is always A+. One of the best lunch spots in the U street corridor

Justin Good: This location consistently fails to meet my expectations. If you order take out, check your order before you leave. This time, my order was missing lettuce and had a minuscule amount out of burnt chicken in the wrap. Often, they are missing things clearly printed on the order tickets (the dressing on the side, or will put on the wrong items-I.e. tomatoes and onions vs tomatoes and cucumbers-or just leave off things completely). With persistent issues, I wonder if they need new management or re-training on brand standards?
Response: Hi Justin, thanks so much for the review and for bringing this to our attention. We greatly apologized for the experience that you had and have gone ahead and raised everything that you mentioned to our team to look into.

Niecie Jones: Employees at this location left me preferring a few other locations. I will not return hear. I prefer to spend my hard earned money where it's not just appreciated, where I'm comfortable and the staff embrace Customer Service skills / appreciate business!

Lebanese Taverna: what do users think?

Victor Wang: Ordered a taverna platter with shawarma (lamb) and it was a lovely combination of rice, salad, lamb, and hummus. The free bread is beautiful and light/fluffy. Prices are reasonable and plenty of space indoors and outdoors. We even were able to stay until after closing to just chat.

Joe Gladstone: Last night was the second time we ate at Lebanese Taverna in DC. The food is outstanding. I ordered lamb shish kebab, the waiter asked me how I wanted the lamb cooked and I said medium rare. Well, the lamb came out well done. I mentioned it to the waiter and in a bothered manner he just said "Well I asked for medium rare". He didn't seem to care. Otherwise, everything was delicious and we will return.

julee wooley: The hommus and Baba Ghannouge were excellent! I had a favorite in Chicago and now I’ve finally found one as great here in Silver Spring Maryland. The pick your platter was the perfect option for me, it was about three meals worth of food! Very impressed with quality and quantity!

James Bacon: Lebenesse Taverna A lovely restaurant space with a vaulted curved high ceiling, nicely furnished and finished, airy and comfortable. Prompt friendly service follows smoothly, but with no pressure at all. (We were awaiting a 4th person who we ultimately did take away for - this was neither an issue or problem, and demonstrates a dynamic approach to customer service from Mustafa our server) The humus with lamb shawarma, baba ganoush and the arnabeet; cauliflower chickpeas, tahini and pine nuts starters was delicious and with hot pitta and oil a substantial starter. The chicken shawarma sandwich with salad was delicious, the chicken was marinated and in a lovely sauce. The chicken curry was mild but flavoursome, while the lamb and artichoke stew had a lovely fruity hint to it, and proved the unusual but very tasty surprise. To end they kindly brought us the baklava without ice-cream as we could just about share it. Loved this service. Excitingly they were hot, and very delicious. We will return here for sure.

krystal wilcox: It's the service for me, the vibe and the energy 😌 I had just left a really stressful place and as soon as I walked in the restaurant the aura calmed me all the way down. Two staff walked up greeted me and I felt welcomed and nurtured. The environment was very clean and it was absolutely gorgeous in the restaurant. I loved the lighting the white table clothes I was really impressed I want to have a dinner party or any type of celebration there. The food was excellent also.

Edward Amartey-Tagoe: Choose between indoors and outdoors. A good sport to have brunch and meet up with friends close to the mall. The food was great but the service/waiting did not match the cuisine. Parking around this area is hard to find. Consider ride-sharing.

Anna Barrett: Good food, good service. They have hand washing station right outside the bathroom, which works well during the pandemic. Their lamb was very tasty

Angelica Norman-Beltran: Delicious food! Started off with their a chicken samosas (3 per order) that came with a great yogurt sauce. The samosas themselves were cooked really well and we're not dried out which was really nice. For lunch I ordered the Mehshi eggplant, zucchini roll dish. It was perfect 👌 I'll be back again for sure

Tara McGee: Fabulous food, excellent service and atmosphere. I particularly recommend the Chef’s Platter and the Spicy Hummus. Yum!

Amanda: Thank you to Noor, my server. A great host, and friendly, who gave several recommendations to this traveler. The food was hot, delicious, and served within an appropriate time. The environment was clean and comfortable, the aesthetic dim and romantic, with just a dash of swank. Open, but not too open as to be left out in space. Cozy but not on top of one another where you have to keep your voice low - still enough privacy between tables. Bathrooms were clean and modern. A nice glass of wine, baklava, and a chance to try Ouzo were wonderful surprises. Thank you Lebanese Taverna.

CAVA: what do users think?

Jasmin Hollywood: I got a Rite Rice&Chicken bowl last Friday for take out and it was delicious. I love this location. They have a cute little outdoor dining area.. Variety of Juices/Juice bar and just all together a neat location.

Lou Costanza: The staff here are very friendly. The menu is pretty limited, but they do what they do well. I love the food, it’s very healthy and filling.

Iris: Super friendly service. The menu has about 6 items max... I had a falafel bowl which was quite healthy with lots of different veggies. The roasted eggplant was the best! Falafel tasted like it had been spiked with flour... not so great, but everything else was good.

Archbishop Dr Smith Abrams Almasi MDiv DD THD PhD: CAVA is working it in DC.... Team work. Kudos and thumbs up. Great food. Good job.

Trip Taker: Food: very good! Service: good Cleanliness: so-so - table were not wiped down, sticky residue. I would recommend this place but it would be nice if the dining area were given a little attention.

D D: I love the staff at this cava! Super friendly and great size in portions. However, my food spicy red meatballs were red, and when I went to eat them they red all throughout. Normally, they are cooked correctly but It has changed my views on the franchise now.

Carson Peck: Food seems fresh and have good options to customize your salads

Nils Hünerfürst: Always a pleasure to eat or take something out. Healthy food and even the dining in options are well and spacy.

Barbara Noordermeer: I generally love CAVA, but management has to step in at this location as it’s badly run. They source beautiful organic meat then grill it until it’s completely burnt and inedible. What a waste of great food. Staff at other locations are always cheerful, but here there’s a bad vibe. Tonight when I walked in the smell of garbage overwhelmed me to the point I just turned around and left. Such a shame as this is my local CAVA and I probably stop going there from now on.

Bill Lane: I'd avoid this place during lunchtime if you can. Obviously any place is going to be busy, but the quality/consistency is just so all over the place at this time. If you go in person, it's usually a 20 minute wait even though there's only 15 people in line. There's a ton of staff working, but usually only 1 person even making the orders. 90% of their staff is solely working on online orders, so they don't pay attention to who is there in person. Ordering online isn't worth it either because they constantly mess up your order. Wrong ingredients, terrible portion sizes (of things you paid extra for), and the food quality is sometimes off. Cava overall is great, but I wouldn't really recommend this location as it seems to be a bit poorly run.

CAVA: what do users think?

Dale Gluck: Always tasty. I especially like the falafel, which has a fresh texture (versus a dehydrated mix). But today's falafel wrap was the messiest ever. Excess sauce -- I'm now wearing it.

Erin Swan: Way too overpriced for how little you get but honestly I liked the food so much I went back a second time to a different location. That location gave me more food for less money. Although I was disappointed in the cost, I loved it so much my daughter and I would go back next time we're in town.

Mary Kashurba: Great bowls, pick your own healthy ingredients. Harissa chicken was really good. Lots of vegetarian options.

Gerald Richardson: Very clean and great customer service! My food is always warm and fresh. This will be my go to when I’mworking in the area.

A. Yik: Awesome food and spacious atmosphere to eat. Love it!

Liliam Villarroel: That’s the best cava around. I love all the people that work there and the food is amazing. Totally recommend

Ali Ibrahim: I love this place! I always take my out of town guests there! They end up loving it as well!! The layout, the food, the service and prices are really good! The quality of food and drinks are really good as well you can get a meal with protein and a drink for $14 .. quick in and out place

Oofio2461 (oofio2461): Very Nice food. I am getting used to Cava's food menu as this time order a great meal. The drinks were also very great compare to Pepsi and Coke. I hope I come here soon!

Sydney Britton: Great food! My favorite place to go to to get a quick, and yummy vegan meal. This location is roomy and has lots of seating.

Chris McDaniel: This place is totally inconsistent and I don’t think well run. Delivery is often cold and does not have dressing. You ask for x2 dressing on delivery and get no dressing. Even In the store it’s hit or miss a bit. The meatballs were cold last time I ate in store. They just are not paying attention. I’m hoping management starts managing. Last time I was there both bathrooms had no soap or paper towels. It’s still COVID folks and if there is no soap how are staff washing there hands when they work? Not a good sign. It was 3 in the afternoon. Wish they would fix. Hi I saw your response, it's been 4 weeks since you responded and your store continues to not put dressing on. What do I need to do to get someone to fix this? My next step is to track down the owner of Cava and start complaining to him/her.
Response: Hi Chris, thanks for the review. We're very sorry to hear that our team dropped the ball with regards to your most recent visit. That said, please know that we'll be sure to pass this message along internally to be addressed. We hope you'll join us again soon for a much improved experience!

Roti: what do users think?

Jessica St Clair: We visited Pita during our stay in DC. I ordered through grubhub and my order was quickly and thoughtfully prepared. The kids bowl was substantial and easily filled my daughter up. The bowl was separated by ingredients so a picky child could eat what they liked. Ingredients were fresh and delicious. I had a pita with kabob salmon. I especially liked the crispy chickpeas. There was plenty of seating outside on a gorgeous winter day. I also appreciated the reasonable prices. A kids meal for $6 is great. I completely recommend this stop for a filling, healthy, quick, cheaper option for families.

Ido Simyoni: Roti used to be my go to place in nyc but since I started working from home I stopped so I was happy to see them near my hotel. I got the salad bowl with lamb and it was just ok. Not as rich, fresh and exciting as I remembered it from nyc. Service was extremely nice and friendly.
Response: Hi Ido, I am so sorry you had a less than great time with us. I would love to hear more about your visit with us at our Pennsylvania Ave location. Please reach us at help@roti.com so we can make this right!

Paul Hendrick: The salads here are huge and delicious. The pita bread was warm and fresh, and the staff were all friendly too. Very healthy way to eat out, with loads of vegetables.
Response: Thank you so much for the great review! :)

Kris Morris: Tasty food, confusing menu! But the staff were helpful with getting my choices explained and helping me avoid over charges. (Lunch in DC is expensive.) The service is very quick. The bowl was delicious! I'll be back for sure!
Response: Hi Kris, I am glad to hear that our team was able to guide you on your Roti journey. I would love to hear any ideas you may have about how to improve our menu. Please email us at help@roti.com Can't wait to have you back soon! :)

Jacob Park: Tasty chicken bowl with assorted veggies. Bowl comes with pita bread for $14.
Response: Hi Jacob! I am so glad to see you enjoyed your meal with us!! Thank you so much for the 5 stars. We hope to have you back very soon.

Ian Kessler: good location and friendly staff, but completely don't understand why they charge a $0.25 COVID Impact Fee and TAX YOU on it without telling you about it. What's it for? Just raise the prices, right?
Response: Thank you so much for the review, Ian. We're glad you liked the food! As for the Covid Impact Fee, this charge is to help offset the harsh impact COVID has had on our ability to keep our doors open. We are using these funds to help provide a safe work environment and to maintain our standard of operations, which helps both employees and our customers. That being said, there should be a sign posted so I will check in with the restaurant! We thank you for your understanding and assistance.

Corrie Byers: Food was delicious and creative! You got a lot of food, well worth the price. Each item had it's own flavor but all worked well together. And the vegan soft serve was delicious and refreshing! The mango was smooth and creamy. Also the atmosphere and decorations were colorful and cool. And very friendly staff!
Response: Thanks, Corrie! We hope you come back soon!

Mattie Quigley: The restaurant is clean, the staff is kind, but what really matters is the food. Every time I’ve gone there in the past it’s been mediocre at best. But today it was just plain awful. They’re lil lamb shawarma, which isn’t even a real shrawma and it literally tasted like tuna. There was way too much hummus. Nothing was outstanding and I couldn’t even finish my food.
Response: I am so sorry about your disappointing food experience! That is not at all the kind of service we want to provide (and the lamb certainly shouldn't taste like tuna). I will be sure the manager sees this review, but please also email us at help@roti.com so that I can refund you for this meal!

Mike: Stopped in here for lunch while in town on business and had a nice meal. It’s like a Mediterranean version of Boloco with assembly line style food serving. The staff was friendly and they move fast. The ingredients were really fresh and delicious (the kabob chicken was my favorite). Overall a great spot for lunch (with indoor and outdoor seating) and I would recommend.

will alas: Holy Moses! Delicious Mediterranean fare, excellent value, and big portions. The falafel rice bowl is on point.

Roti: what do users think?

Carl Arthur: I have been going to this location at 1629 K St since they reopened after quarantine. Every-time I walk in Nika always greets me with a welcome and a smile. I’m not sure if she is aware but moments like that make a lasting impression on people. Roti, you have an amazing team member and I hope she gets the recognition that she deserves
Response: Thank you so much Carl! Nika is definitely one of the BEST! I will make sure that they gets acknowledged today. We hope to have you back soon!

Michele Orzan: Good food and nice personnel, BUT poor environmental concern: - unnecessary and unrequested single-use plastic covers on every plate even for in-store consumption - only single-use plastic cutlery and cups while they could easily be metal/hard plastic reusable, just like in more conscious restaurants - water in plastic bottles only - no environmental policy visible anywhere in the premises Running a business just in order to make money without considering the environmental needs is not an option anymore.
Response: Thank you so much for taking the time to write us some feedback, Michele! You are so right-- environmental consciousness is something every company should have on their radar and talk about regularly. There are things we do great-- grass fed beef, organic teas and juices, compostable bowls for catering and dine in, thoughtfully sourced ingredients --but there are things we can do better! Your point about plastic especially is a great one. I'll send your feedback to our leadership team. Thanks so much and let me know how else I can help!

Mad Max: I would give 5 start for their food quality but 1 star for the quantity. I think their price went up recently but at the same time the portion went down. They now have a smaller bowel too. I ate lunch there but left still hungry, half full. Their plates are the size of side dishes at other restaurants. Very little portion and small bowels. I hope they will change it and start dishing more food so that I will go back for lunches and dinner sometimes. I love their food but portion is very little. Are we supposed to order two dishes for lunch? LoL
Response: Thank you for the thoughtful review! I am so sorry the portions were disappointing. I will let the team know!

Eric Wilber: This is not the same Roti as before the pandemic, at all. To be clear, this rating is more about systemic changes than a reflection on this location specifically; it was clean, COVID protocol conscious, and staff was friendly and patient. But as someone who went to Roti 1-2x a week pre-pandemic, I was completely lost. The menu now prioritizes preplanned options vs build your own bowls and the new menu reflects this; it was near impossible to come up with something approximating what I used to get. Different rice, and had 3 different types of slaw for sides but no couscous or tomato based anything. No labels on any of the sides either, making it difficult to figure out what I wanted. And I was blown away by the price - what used to cost $10-11 in February 2020 is now over $17 in February 2022. It seemed like the bowls were definitely smaller than before too. Definitely de-prioritizing Roti for future lunch plans, which is a shame.
Response: Thank you so much for your detailed feedback about your last visit and your thoughts about the menu. I have sent on this feedback to the senior leadership so they can take a look at the pricing and menu structure as well as the sides we currently offer! If there is anything else that I can do for you, please feel free to email me at help@roti.com.

Ashlina Chin: My roommate and I grabbed lunch here for the first time yesterday and I enjoyed it so much, I came back today to try something different! Everything is so tasty and fresh. It may not look like very much food, but it's super filling! This will definitely be one of my regular lunch spots!

Nzinga Damali-Cathie: I love to get the salmon kabob salad. The salmon is always cooked perfectly and I load it with all the good stuff.

Andrew Chen: Good yum food and they give lots of proteins. I grab food here whenever I work in D.C.

OSCAR FLORES: The falafel bowl in this place is one of my favorites, to be a fast food chain the food is healthy and tasty! Portions are very generous, 100% recommended.
Response: Oscar, thank you for your review-we really appreciate it! We love hearing about our customers favorites on the menu, and our team is happy to know you consider us one of your personal favorite chains. We look forward to seeing you back again soon!

William Bowman: Tasty, but mediocre portions. I left hungry.
Response: I am so sorry about your poor experience and the small portions! I will bring this to the manager's attention!

Harshal Joglekar: Good vegetarian food. Indians can try falafal, humus, pita and green sauce (like chatni)
