Medics USA - Primary and Walk-In Care: what do users think?

Laleh Pedramrad: It is awful urgent care. I had an appointment to see the doctor and I arrived 10 minutes earlier. The place is not crowded at all as you can see in the picture but I need to wait for ever to see the doctor and put me in the patient’s room for ever. OMG I will never ever go back to this place anymore.

Latoya Domino: I will never go back to this place. They are extremely unprofessional, incompetent folks. The doctor was great and he didn't take long to see me but upon waiting to get my blood work done and to have my medication called in because it was my first visit... I had to wait a whole hour just to get blood work done. I had to go in the hallway to find out what was going on and why no one came to draw my blood or even attempt to check me out. Their attitude was very rude and lack of care and they didn't even know what was going on. In my opinion I feel the whole staff needs to be replaced with folks that care and have compassion and knowledge of their skills. My advice... Go here at your own risk. Reading these reviews I see I'm not the only one that feels this place is full of incompetent staff.

Nunu Loedrr: This doctor cursed me out about a mask. He was one of those radical pro mask activist DO NOT RECOMMEND this place the Doctor John Spargo he’s tall Caucasian man that looks like hank hill. He smell like liquor and his eyes were bloodshot red as if he just took a long lunch break at a bar. DO NOT SERVICE THIS ESTABLISHMENT because if he talk to me like that in my face there’s no telling what he saying about you to yours. Good day

Ryan Fleming: Apart from being remarkably rude in general, and for of course long wait times, Medics USA had two other things going against it. First, they failed to process the insurance claim correctly which caused problems. Second, the physician made pretty disparaging remarks about minority populations which was a bit shocking. In general both doctors I saw had horrible bedside manner, but being casually racist is beyond the pale. I would highly recommend that you go anywhere else.

Noah Slosberg: Really awful experience here, believe the other reviews. I scheduled an appointment for 1:30 at 1, and was told I could come in immediately. When I got there the wait was 1 hour!! The front desk told me it would only take 30 minutes, which was a blatant lie because the receptionist in the back said it would be more like an hour!! I currently have Covid and desperately needed a prescription, to which the doctor sarcastically told me that I should go to the ER and get monoclodial antibodies! It was really incredibly rude and an awful experience. I really recommend skipping this place and going literally anywhere else. Why would they tell me to come in if they then clearly were overbooked?? Especially when I knew I had Covid and told them this and they said there they couldn’t help me! Really awful experience. And they were incredibly aggressive about it too and told me I wasn’t wanted when I was just following their instructions!!

Nicole Ward: The make it incredibly difficult to get a prescription refill and have not been accommodating during the pandemic. I have asthma and have needed refills for my asthma medication. During the height of the pandemic, before vaccinations, they expected me to make an appointment for a refill. I was in the office 6 months ago and the doctor wrote me a prescription with zero refills. I now need a refill and they won’t give me one unless I come in for a full physical.

Bernardo Berges: The only thing this place did well was diagnose me with the flu. Everything else was horrendous. I called earlier in the day to schedule an appointment for later in the evening and confirmed with the person that the appointment was scheduled. I gave them all my information and was ready to go. When I arrived 30 minutes early to my appointment, I was disappointed to find out that there was no record of my appointment on their system. I showed the front desk agent my call and the info I had but I was put on the list as a walk-in. It's fine I thought, these things happen sometimes. After waiting for about an hour and a half, I was finally seen by a nurse. I explained my situation and the symptoms I was feeling for two separate issues. He did two tests, one of which was the flu test. The other test was not the one that I needed so I still have to visit another doctor because he did a blood test instead of oral test even after explaining to him that my symptoms were with my throat and was explained at another place that I needed the oral swab. After the tests, I had to wait again before the doctor saw me. The doctor spent some time with me and informed me that I had the flu. He said he put in a prescription to my pharmacy and that I should go pick it up tonight. However, because of the large wait times from the appointment not being properly booked and then waiting for everything after, my pharmacy had already closed. He said he would resend the prescription to another pharmacy close by that was still open. Feeling extremely sick from the flu and wanting to go home after the 2+ hours I had spent, I forced myself to go to the new pharmacy. Lo and behold, they had not sent any prescriptions to that pharmacy and could not find anything in their system for me. I tried calling Medics USA but because it was now past their closing time, I was met with an automated answering machine and no way to reach anyone who could help me. I had to go home and wait for the next morning to get my medicine. The next morning, I went to the original pharmacy where I expected my prescription to be ready. Unsurprisingly at this point, they were unable to find anything in their records for me. After a little bit of research, we finally figured it out. They had indeed received my prescription and it was ready, the only issue was that Medics USA got my name, phone number AND e-mail all wrong. In other words, they screwed up every single piece of identifiable information. I had to call them to update my info and make sure that I could register for their web portal after this because I had not received an email since it was sent to the wrong address. This place deserves 0 stars and judging from the amount of reviews here, I am not alone. If you have the option, I highly recommend finding another urgent care center as this place is simply not acceptable. I will not be returning.

David Pansegrouw: I have been going here for a few years as my PCP. Very satisfied. Members of my family have come here at times also and have always been treated well. Dr. Rashid and his staff are excellent.

Julie McCune: I brought my friend to the R St NW location for a few stitches to her forehead after a fall. The front desk service staff were very helpful and friendly. We were walk-ins without an appointment and only had to wait 45 minutes. However, I don’t feel confident that my friend received the best care. Based on a form we filled out, they said she probably had a mild concussion. But they didn’t check her pupil dilation. They also didn’t ask follow-up questions or check her head for injuries to her scalp or facial bones. My friend got three stitches but was not given any instructions for wound care until we specifically asked for them. The PA who did the stitches told us that we shouldn’t get the wound wet or apply Neosporin for 2 days. After the PA left and the nurse came back, the first thing the nurse did was swab the wound with water, and then recommend that we use Neosporin. It shook our confidence to be given opposite instructions by two different medical staff. I was also a little concerned about the hygienic standards. The office was clean but the PA and nurse both wore gloves and touched many surfaces in the office, even the door knob, and didn’t change the gloves before treating her. Overall, I expected a higher quality of care and clearer communication. In the future, I would try a different clinic rather than go back to this one.

David S: Urgent care, no frills! I got seen when nobody else would take my appointment. Doctor listened and helped me with get diagnosed. Called my insurance beforehand so I didn't have any issues.

One Medical: what do users think?

Annie Piper: I honestly stayed away from one medical for so long because of the membership fee… but after an emergency medical situation and desperately needing an immediate appointment with a good doctor I caved. And let me tell you it is worth it hands down. I saw my doctor on time and right away—the whole appointment was spent with the doctor from the moment I was called out of the waiting room. And Dr. Gannon was so professional and was able to diagnose correctly what two medical staff from an urgent care had falsely diagnosed. She was very sensitive and caring. It was super easy to stay in contact with her via the app after the appointment as I had questions. She also made sure I got the offsite testing I needed right away when they were going to make me wait three days. I can’t recommend one medical and Dr. Gannon enough.

Ray Wang: Possibly the worst one medical location ever; the front desk staff is rude and act like they are working in the DMV instead of the the doctor’s office; when I was late due to a snowstorm and wanted to reschedule for the same day and also schedule labs they told me there is no availabilities and I need to come back; I opened the app and there were several openings… They have the attitude they just want to get you in and then out of there like a factory.

RoRo Gingy: Dr. Elizabeth Gannon is the BEST DOCTOR! She has been my doctor over 6 years and is Absolute professional, personable, caring and takes every effort to heal whatever is the problem. I recommend her to the fullest.

redbulls828: In the three years I have used him I’ve had a total of four different primaries. It takes several days to a week to get seen and when you do it by a nurse practitioner or DO. They never follow up And honestly could care less about what’s going on with you. They are more concerned with getting you out of the office in order to get the next one in then anything else I kind of feel like a fraud. If you’re looking for a nurse to give you a Z pack prescription when you have a code go ahead and waste your money. But if you’re looking for a doctor to really analyze and help you with some thing don’t waste your time.

Alexa: I am new to the area and wanted to find a PCP before I got sick. I wasn’t excited about the idea of paying for a membership- but it seems to be well worth it. One medical is a great concept! They make it so easy to get care quickly- they have lots of doctors available at several locations- so it is really easy to get a last minute appointment This will be great for when my job starts next week and my free time will be VERY limited. They also are “virtually” accessible 24/7. I am slightly concerned that there are a lot of PAs and NPs (I had to look up what they are) that work there, and I would be most comfortable with an MD. I was able to schedule my intake online with an MD though, so hopefully that will be the case in the future as well. Everyone that I encountered there very kind and attentive!

Matt Prezioso: I started to receive emails noting that I needed to update my credit card for my upcoming membership renewal. I called 3 times and sent a message through the app to ask questions related to the membership and find out who my new provider would be (mine apparently left). Each time I was on hold for more than 30 minutes. I left VMs and never got a response. I still haven’t gotten a response in the app. During this time, their corporate admin group managed to charge my card for the updated membership, even though they sent messages saying they needed updated info. When I finally did get ahold of someone through the corporate group from a number on my receipt when I was charged, they noted that they were sorry, they’re opening new offices with reduced staff, and it may have contributed to my wait. So ultimately, they’re more concerned with growth than current patients.

Mya Ferguson: The staff is professional, courtesy, and knowledgeable. The office is nicely designed. I can't say enough about Dr. Atwater. She took time to speak with me about my family's medical history, made suggestions about concerns I had, and to understand what was happening with my body. At no point did I feel rushed or like she was thinking about the next thing to do. She was completely in the moment and that doesn't happen with every physician. In addition, they were on time for the appointment and there was no wait. I am so glad my insurance company sent me information about One Medical.

Robert Bear: The main reason I love this place is that the medical staff is well-qualified. It is not easy with most insurance plans to find a good primary care physician and you only need to take one look at the online CVs of the doctors to see that it's easy to find a good doctor here. Secondly, they always keep the appointments. I have been to so many offices where you spend all day waiting hour after hour well beyond your initial appointment time. Very professional in everything they do. Lab work is really easy too. It costs a little out of pocket to join every year, but you can put that on a defined benefit plan, and it's well worth it.

Reginald Green: When I say the best Doctors office ever I mean it!!!! Great Staff from the Front Desk to the Doctors to the person taking blood yes even the lady with the big Needle is great. Everyone is great and the Access to your Doctor or any of the well Qualified Doctors is unreal. I used the online portal to ask my Doctor a question and she answered back in 15 minutes do you hear me she answered back not a assistance she answered and was able to help with my situation. Did i mention that on my Birthday yes i had a appointment on my birthday they all greeted me with a happy birthday wishes which made my day.

Veronica: Having just moved here from Canada I was hesitant and nervous to find a new doctor. I had a bad experience with another office in DC and I can say by far this is the best office and team I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. This office is better than anything I've seen in Canada. Honestly. They are highly professional, on-time, listened to everything I had to say and maintain a modern, clean office. The staff is VERY competent.

Providence Health System: what do users think?

Bei Heir: The rudeness at the front desk is uncalled for. It's a shame this place used to be thriving with patients --to closed and low rated. We want change in the community, then yet keep hiring those who could care less about it.
Response: We understand your frustration and would sincerely like to give this situation the time and attention you deserve. May we ask that you please call us at 202-854-4025 (Mon-Fri 8 am-4:30 pm) so that we can address your concerns? Thank you. -Providence Community Manager

Crazy Chicc: It’s a shame that this hospital is closed now. I received the best treatment. I Was comfortable with the people who worked there. A very trustworthy hospital.
Response: Thank you; we appreciate your feedback! -Providence Community Manager

Tiyende-Tose Nyirenda: The lady at the front Judy/Ruby is rude. Took time off work to come for an appointment that was scheduled by them in advance just to find out that my insurance isn’t accepted there. Waste of time.
Response: Thank you for taking the time to leave us this review. We would appreciate the opportunity to work with you directly regarding your review. Could you please reach out to us at 202-854-4025 (Mon-Fri 8 am-4:30 pm) at your earliest convenience? Thank you. -Providence Community Manager

MW 7: I always received the best care here when it was a hospital. In the past it felt like my treatment plan was being executed by a team of angels, amoung them Dr. Lawrence, Dr. Mark Johnson, Annie the nurse, and others. They even use to have a copy of a healing or encouraging prayer for you to read or take with you. The gift shop and cafeteria were awesome. This was a first class hospital for 186 years. Now as an Urgent Care Center I received the same great care for a recent health concern. The waiting room was clean and appropriately modified to ensure social distancing. The receptionist, nurse and Nurse Practitioner Beale were professional, compassionate, kind, and thorough. This is a much needed christian-based health care resource for the hardworking, taxpaying American residents of the Northeast quadrant of the District of Columbia. The decision to care for and minister to the health of the people of this community by offering this serve was indeed an ethical and important decision.
Response: We think we have an incredible staff too! It's always nice to see messages like this. -Providence Community Manager

Krystal Baez: To start off positive I will say the staff is friendly and has good bedside manner. Cons: As a whole though, terrible. They are obviously understaffed as the wait times for everything is almost unbearable. Waiting in the waiting room? Over an hour. Get called back and Waiting to be seen by the doctor? An hour until you actually see them. They NEVER answer the phones to the point that even if you have a question you just have to go up there. I've been on the phone waiting on anyone to pick up forever just trying to get a referral for a serious issue that they should've but didn't give me upon my discharge. Did they pick up? Nope. Just endless hold music. No option to have them do a call back or email, but since I've got to hold I've got the time to leave reviews on all platforms about their lack of assistance. That picture is 2 hours of just HOLDING I've NOT yet heard 1 live human voice in regards to my concerns despite multiple calls, emailing and sending a dm on their fb page which they left on read.

Dina Floyd: I developed an abscess that spread to my entire cheek area, before my scheduled dentist appointment. Based on the previous reviews I've read, I went to Providence's ER with great trepidation. It was the best ER experience of my life! Albeit, there is nothing fancy about the facility. However, the entire facility (the waiting room, the intake area, the examining room, and, yes, the public bathroom) were ALL sparkling clean. I was in and out within two hours - this included a diagnosis by the doctor and the dispensing of necessary medications, my prescription write-up, and receipt of my discharge papers. Mind you, I arrived at 11:30 am. Everyone I encountered displayed a respectful, professional, and upbeat demeanor. Last, I didn't have to pay for parking. No complaints here concerning today's visit, only accolades.
Response: Dina, thank you for sharing your observations with us. Feedback helps us know what we’re doing right or where we need to improve. - Providence Hospital Community Manager

for for: This has to be the worst place ever. I’ve literally sat here for 2 hours for absolutely nothing. Nurse and Doctor came and told me to do two completely different things about my injury without even touching or evaluating me. For the work they actually put in here to actually helping people you could hire 4 year olds here. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE WITH YOUR LIFE ESPECIALLY TATIANA

Zuri Jordan: I have been trying to get my health records for months. I have submitted the paperwork and haven’t heard back. When you call they dont pick up. This hospital is trash. And then someone responded to this review, I did what they asked and they never reached out. Im sick.
Response: Thank you for the feedback. We would like to work with you directly, so could you please complete this form ascn.io/patientfeedback and we will reach out? Thank you. -Providence Community Manager

Jilly McNeal: I usually have nothing but great things to say about Catholic run hospitals. I have always admired how they give to the community, go above and beyond to assist patients and their families and the employees are usually just as dedicated to the community, patients/families and to the hospital. I'm not sure what happened at Providence hospital (D.C.) but when a friend was admitted over a month ago I often felt that he would have received better care from a veterinarian. He was moved 4 times without notice, the nurses that I dealt with were rude, mean, nasty and lazy. These were bottom of the barrel nurses. My friend had a difficult time speaking and this was not news to the staff, I would press the button for the nurse just to see if someone would come to his room or if someone would ask "can I help" and wait for a response from someone one who could barely speak or if the nurse would just not show up......the latter always happened. I was left with the impression that the nurses enjoyed having a patient that couldn't be his own advocate. Where did you all get these nurses? Would no one else hire them but Providence. Did you get 5 for the price of 1. I would be more than happy to point out each one! I'm very familiar with HIPPA regulations and the nurses would not give vital information to authorized family members and the doctors weren't any better. No one was communicating with the family. The patient pool seems to be made up of poor to lower income people and that's how they are treated. The Sisters or Daughters of Charity need to close this facility. It's a disgrace and shameful that people are treated this way. I wouldn't leave my dog in the care of this place. I feel bad giving it one star because that's one too many. The CEO and all of upper management needs to be blamed for this, collecting a big pay check on the backs of the poor while giving less than sub-standard treatment. I could go on and on and on......... Please don't respond to this with the hospitals obligatory "I'm sorry that you or your friends were not satisfied" response because what happened at this hospital was beyond dissatisfaction.

Drew Hall: I have been to Providence Hospital twice, and have had negative experiences in each instance. The first was for a yearly checkup. The doctor was nice enough but the women doing his billing sent me the same bill months after I had paid it, and it nearly went to collections. I left her messages numerous times and she never returned my calls. I finally had to call the doctor's office again and personally emailed the doctor a copy of my check that had been processed by his office months before. Only after this ordeal did the billing woman call me, sounding irritated, as if this was *my* fault. The second time I went to the emergency room for feelings of vertigo. After being processed, I did a blood and urine sample. The nurse who gave me the urine container vanished for about a half hour, with me keeping my sample with me embarrassingly until I had to confront him in the hallway and give to me. He had totally forgotten. After my CT scan, and was sent to a hospital room where no one checked on me until I was told I was discharged. They asked if I had seen the doctor or a nurse to go over my results, and I said I had seen neither and would sign nothing until they met with me. Only then did I speak with a doctor for about 3 minutes. He gave me a prescription and told me to follow up with a neurologist, which I am doing. I am very disappointed with the lack of care and scatter-brained attitude of this hospital. I do not recommend it to anyone.

Washington Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine: what do users think?

Eugene Turk: The experience of Dr. Pharrell is otherworldly. He worked with me on a complex hip issue which did respond well to PRP. I was able to avoid surgery and though it still does hurt a but has improved tremendously. Thanks Dr. P!
Response: Thank you for the 5-star rating. We appreciate it!

Lynn Choquette: Dr Melvin was efficient and compassionate. He reviewed my images, offered options and clear explanations. He was unhurried and receptive to all my questions about knee replacement.
Response: We appreciate your 5-star rating!

Linda Bridgman: I am considering foot/ankle surgery by Dr. Magur to remove what's called Haglund's deformity ("pump bump") causing injury to the Achilles tendon at the back of my heel . Dr. Magur carefully and patiently responded to all my questions concerning surgery risk, procedure, recovery time and much more. I greatly appreciate the time he has taken to address and resolve my concerns.

Amanda Norton: Dr. Starr spent time with us diagnosing our son's injury. He was very kind and thoughtful throughout the process.
Response: Thank you for the positive review!

Dermatology Biologics: Superb care! Thoughtful kind attention by all staff members. Dr. Patel's explanations were understandable and empathetic which was comforting considering the pain I have been experiencing. Could not recommend someone more highly. William Sawchuk

Ms Ma: For your orthopaedic needs, don't look any further than WOSM. Quality of care is second to none. Most recent visit was with Dr. Barth. He provides a thorough explanation of your condition, and treatment options, and makes certain that all of your questions are answered, prior to leaving.
Response: Thank you for the kind words. We strive for excellence!

Anita Gottlieb: Dr. Klimkiewicz is a terrific surgeon. In addition, more than any other doctor's office I have seen, Dr. K's staff answers questions quickly and completely. While having rotator cuff surgery isn't easy, this is as good as it gets.

Tom Foster: Dr. Starr is great (he'll be even greater after he fixes my back.). He's empathetic, quick, funny and, frankly, nice. I don't always find that to the case among top-flight professionals. It's actually been a pleasure dealing with him.

Eric Fox: Dr. Barth is the finest hand surgeon in Washington and probably everywhere else as well. He is always thoughtful and easy to deal with. He is outstanding at explaining his diagnoses in layman's terms.

roger kaplan: dr. barth was excellent in his review of my finger issue.
Response: Thank you for the 5-star rating and the positive feedback. We appreciate it!

Medical Cosmetic Enhancements: what do users think?

Allegra B.: I have had a positive experience with laser hair removal at Medical Cosmetic Enhancements. I found the laser much more uncomfortable that I expected, but the treatment is working very well for me after 3 sessions and it is worth the temporary discomfort. Most of the staff are friendly, and each technician has been thorough, efficient, and patient in the laser process, answering any questions and giving breaks as needed. The office is conveniently located, and they are punctual with their appointments, which is much appreciated.

Eden Siskind: Had a super great experience with Medical Cosmetic Enhancements getting underarm laser. It’s super quick and honestly not that painful. Was able to see results after the second session and the price is amazing. Just finished my sixth session and I’m very happy with the results. Would recommend!

Zeinia McGrath: I come here for laser tattoo removal and am so glad I found this place! my tattoo was so much noticeably lighter even after just the first treatment! I got done with my second treatment today and Adriana is absolutely amazing. My tattoo was a difficult mix of red ink, black ink, and bumpy skin but she was so patient, kind, and super skilled!! I’m so thankful I chose medical cosmetic enhancements, and excited to see so much progress already with this tattoo removal. thank you all SO MUCH ❤️🙏🏽

dsou: I heard about Medical Cosmetic Enhancements online and started my first ever laser therapy treatments there in July 2021. At first, I was very nervous about receiving treatments, but the staff is extremely professional and knowledgeable which put me at ease and allayed some of my concerns. The facility is pristine and is conveniently located in West End part of the District of Columbia. They are also wonderful with last minute accommodations for appointments and really strive to provide client satisfaction. I just finished up my third round of laser treatments in two small areas and have been very satisfied with the results so far. I plan on doing other areas there over the next few months!

May Y: I first went to MCE last year to inquire about skin tightening treatments. Dr Varano listened carefully to my concerns and when I’d finished he said the results I was seeking from the laser treatment would not be satisfactory to me. So he recommended another type of treatment. He advised purchasing a series in order to see the best results. Like all treatments out there, you’re hopeful yet skeptical. I took a chance and it was undeniably worth every bit if my money and time. The results were significantly noticeable. I use the word significant because after my 4th session, my husband noticed with an appreciative eye. I returned for another series of the same treatment but for a new area of the body. 4 sessions later I had impressive results again. The office and treatment rooms are extremely clean. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and I always look forward to a visit. I highly recommend this office for a variety of services!

Victoria Pena: Very comfortable environment. Not from DC so was looking for a place that was in my price range and found medical cosmetic. They scheduled me right away and had amazing service. Would recommend for laser hair removal!

Rosa Alejandra Hernández Gómez: I did some sessions of hair laser and in the beginning when I started to go, three months ago, I saw good results and the staff was professional and friendly. During my last 2 sessions I stopped seeing results and decided to cancel the sessions. I tried to explain to the girl in the phone and she was super rude, she basically hung up to me.

Shweta Agnihotri: After I pre-paid for my entire laser package- full legs, bikini & underarms- 6 sessions, they call me 7 months later- saying.. oh pay us more, you paid for 6 sessions for the underarms and just 3 for the legs- so unethical and greedy! like seriously? 7 months later, you "checked your books" is it? I hope people read this review and save themselves the trouble of this spot! ( also 1 of my sessions, my entire leg had burn marks! thats how bad the laser was- my physiotherapist remarked that my 'trauma' marks on the legs looked like an untrained technician performed the laser on me'
Response: You paid $990 for 3 full leg sessions which included 3 free bikini sessions and paid for a package of 6 underarms . We are very transparent on pricing as this is listed on our website https://www.medicalcosmetic.org/specials You being unaware is not our fault. Lastly you experience cupping from the laser hair suctioning not burns as your physiotherapist suggested

Christina S: I received 6 treatments for laser hair removal and was pleased with the process and service I received. Everyone I interacted with was pleasant and professional and I was pleased with the measures put in place to reduce exposure to covid.

Demarco Fleming: Medical Cosmetics is simply the best!!! I've been a patient here for about two plus years now. I love the friendliness and the professionalism of the staff. Awesome results every time! I am about to schedule for another procedure soon. I highly recommend Medical Cosmetics. Thumbs up every time!

The Retina Group of Washington: what do users think?

Angel Jackson: I have really bad anxiety when it comes to medical procedures of ANY kind. They were patient with me, even when it almost seemed like I couldn't get it under control. They gave me time, water & thoroughly explained the procedure that was going to take place. Dr. Huang was really nice & thorough. Don't think I'll be as anxious my next visit

princess abudabah: The office staff are friendly and typically greet you by name as you enter the door. I miss Dr. Spellman’s personal touch though. Even though he was always busy he took time to speak with you and remember things about you. Since he is retired I now see Dr. Venkat. I have no complaints about the excellent service she provided. I do wish she were more personable. After waiting for over 45 mins for the office visit, her actual examination felt rushed and perfunctory.
Response: Princess, thank you for sharing your feedback with our physicians and staff.

roderick johnson: The assistants were helpful and courteous. The time at the clinic has improved from 3 hours down to an hour and a half. Superior service would be in and out in one hour.

Jacqueline Hancock: My experiences here are truly outstanding. Dr. Sonya is the best ever. Staff is constantly cleaning to keep clients safe. Thanks for caring.

Xenon Booth: The wait is always quite long, but everyone is very friendly. Dr. Bryant is amazing and as well as all the nurses.

Dab B: The staff was very personable and professional. Dr. Bryant was very patient explaining the issues and provided options as necessary. Very professional.

Richard Greene: An overall good experience. The reviews indicating that there is a wait time are true. I had a 2pm appointment and did not leave until 4pm. That said they have a lot of patients, which means there’s a slight delay in appointment times. That aside I felt the staff was professional, courteous, and had a good bed side manner as they explained everything they were doing and answered all my questions. The doctor (can’t recall her name at the moment) was also good and gave me confidence that she knew what she was doing, which is what you want when someone is messing around with your eyes!

Laura Scharfenberg: I am uncertain how to rate my visit today. I had to leave the office after waiting for approximately two hours. When I asked when I might expect to be seen, the receptionist said it may still be another 30-45 minutes and that when coming in for an appointment, I should plan on allowing 3-4 hours. I have high regard for Dr. Spellman, and appreciate his willingness to be thorough with his patients as well as the fact that he has a number of emergency patients each day. However, I do not appreciate spending 3-4 hours in the office, the vast majority of which is in the waiting room. There must be a better system. That said, his staff is very considerate and professional and I have great respect and confidence in everyone I have encountered in the office. I am considering making a follow up appt with his colleague for whom I was told the time in the waiting room is not nearly as long.

Brian Niemiec: Had a really great experience. They were able to see me the same day, which was awesome. Dr Huang did a thorough exam and helped me understand what was happening. It alleviated my fears. I would highly recommend Dr Huang at RGW.

F Slacum: Great customer service from the start! Thank you Dr. Bryant! And thanks to your entire team!!

Comprehensive Primary Care: what do users think?

Olivia Kerrigan: This is the best doctor's office I've ever been to in my 28 years of life! The doctor I saw, Kathryn, was wonderful. She listened to my concerns and was very helpful. She also did a full blood panel to make sure I am healthy. It is easy to schedule here and the wait time was under 5 minutes from check in to being seen. Highly recommend them!

Kelsey Harding: I moved to the district a few years ago and CPC was the first, and only, primary care office I tried. Since I started I love going there. I’ve never had to wait long for an appointment or for the doctor. The front office staff and nursing staff are all very nice and make the appointments easy. My doctor always takes the time to answer my questions and make sure I’m doing okay. The telehealth options are also great.

Debra Brown: What a great team! I found this group when I looked for a primary care doctor it was a trial with the intentions of trying seldom. Since I have been with this group I can not imagine going anywhere else. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for confidence in their doctor for proper health care. Thank you!

Iván Torres: Dr Mendiratta is amazing and deserves a review so here goes. To understand how good she you gotta understand how crazy and intense I am. It's half a joke, but check it, I'm from NYC where everything is intense, moved down to DC and guess what? Still intense, and with a family and general life stresses it began to take a toll on me. When Dr Mendiratta stepped in she was open to listening first, and really taking in what I said, and she would really take the time and walk me through the treatments she recommended, and helped me understand how it would fit in with my lifestyle and needs. It's important to note I am a marketing professional and have worked with some of the biggest names in pharmaceuticals so I don't even really trust the drug-game. Dr Mendiratta knows this and we still managed to make me comfortable being open with telling her my crazy. I think that's what matters most when trying to get help. Thanks Dr Mendiratta and team!

Jonathan Alfuth: Have had a great experience after a couple of visits. I appreciate how quickly they are able to get you in to see a doctor, as well as the mix of in-person and telehealth options depending on the situation.

James Stevenson: I had a great experience. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. A great place for checkups and GP visits

Haley Rasmussen: alison donovan is probably the best physician i've ever had. absolutely love her! in addition, the staff is always available to answer questions and are super nice. great office!

Sarah Morgan: I always have a good experience - scheduling is easy. Staff are kind. I have interacted with multiple doctors at the U Street location, and all have been great. Added bonus - I almost never have trouble finding parking.

Elizabeth Kirby: Everyone here is so kind. They really listen and want to help. Plus, I was able to get an appointment scheduled quickly and had no wait time when I arrived. I feel so lucky to have found such great professionals!

Olga Akulenko: Love my Dr. Morcom at Comprehensive Primary Care. She is all you want your doctor be - professional and personal, caring and responsive. She takes time to listen, examine and discuss various approaches to diagnostics and treatment. Outside of in-person visits, Dr. Morcom is great about responding to the questions though the online portal messenger and following up with a phone calls from her and staff. I am grateful and happy to be her patient. 100% recommended!

National Center for Weight and Wellness: what do users think?

Anna S: I have had the great pleasure of being a patient of Dr. Kahan for a number of years. Working with Dr. Kahan and his team has been a life-changing experience. They are by far the most caring group of health professionals I have worked with. Long term weight loss is tough and can be very depressing; Dr. Kahan remains positive when I may not be, and he puts weight loss ups and downs into perspective. Most importantly, he makes it clear he will never give up trying different approaches until one is found that works. I appreciate that he advocates a holistic approach to health care, recognizing that weight loss is both a mental and physical process. The team he has put together has diverse areas of expertise and there are a wide variety of supports in place--from individual to group work—to help. In all my years I have never met a doctor who is as compassionate and concerned. He gives 200% to help ensure your success.

Kendall Almerico: Dr. Scott Kahan at NCWW is one of the most caring, knowledgeable and professional physicians I have ever met. The entire staff is great, caring, and make you feel welcome and comfortable every time you visit. When I needed to drop a few pounds and just couldn't seem to make it happen, I reached out to NCWW and Dr. Kahan after receiving several glowing recommendations from friends and co-workers. Immediately when I first met him and his staff, they put me at ease and helped develop a safe and effective customized program that helped me to lose the few pounds I needed to lose, and more importantly taught me important lessons on how to keep the weight off, which I have now done for several years. I wish every doctor was as supportive and effective as Dr. Kahan. I also wish every physician reminded their staff to treat patients well as they are a reflection of the practice also - and Dr. Kahan certainly has done that at NCWW. I highly recommend Dr. Kahan and NCWW if you have health care/weight loss needs. You will not regret the decision. They are top notch!

J Co: If you need to lose a lot of weight, and it seems like you've tried everything, consider calling for an appointment to meet with Dr. Scott Kahan at the National Center for Weight and Wellness (NCWW) in DC., and just go from there! I first saw Dr. Scott Kahan on a Ted Talk and thought he was amazing -- and then I was able to see him in person, and he is in fact absolutely wonderful. He's non-judgmental, so supportive and extremely knowledgeable! The NCWW has an incredibly fun and supportive staff and there are a number of really interesting sessions you can attend throughout the week (from weight management classes to yoga -- to food shopping skills). Invest in yourself, give them a call!

marc machlin: I have great respect for the work of Dr. Kahan and his entire staff. They are extremely supportive and knowledgeable. With their advice and support, I have lost a substantial amount of weight and have reduced my blood pressure significantly. I am having success and I feel energized. I am extremely grateful to the entire team for their guidance and support.

Beth Jeans: When I stumbled across Dr. Kahan's Center, I was excited about the NOT-one-size-fits-all approach and myriad of activities and options. But "why even bother" haunted me. After all, trying program after program, *this-is-the-one* inevitably morphed to stumbling/gaining/giving up, with the customary emotional fallout . I was exhausted, and my health was bad. But slowly it became evident - the Center's approach is different: sustainable, life changing and life saving, if you are open to what the amazing staff offers. After reading another review, I'd like to mention that the Center has many plans and a la cart selections. Trying to explain it all via phone would take an awfully long time, not counting the inevitable questions. (I had a ton.) So orientations are held every Thursday and once a month on Saturdays. (No pressure, though.)

Erica Rothman: Dr. Kahan has not only been a great doctor to me the past few years, he has really become a friend that I look forward to catching up with. He is always positive and keeps things in perspective. When I moved from DC he made it clear that he would still always be around for me if I needed anything. We have had phone appointments to keep me on track and they have been really helpful. I cannot say enough good things about him!

Bernie Robinson: The female and male professionals who staff the National Center for Weight and Wellness genuinely care about those of us who reach out to them for advice, counsel and timely assistance. Our prospects for achieving our goals are totally within our reach and are our responsibility. The short and longer term benefits of working with the men and women of NCWW is access to their banks of knowledge, practical experience and their flexible willingness to custom tailor a program that works best for each of us !!! Bernie Robinson May 23, 2015

Rod Aminian: NCWW offered the most well-coordinated, comprehensive weight management program I've ever encountered (and I've been through a lot of them). They help you approach the issue from all angles, including nutrition strategies, monitoring your bloodwork, cognitive behavioral therapy, specific meal plans for your goals, etc. Services are offered both in one-to-one appointments, group work, and even some exercise classes (yoga). The staff are some of the most empathetic and knowledgeable people in the field of weight loss. I wholeheartedly recommend NCWW to anyone who struggles with weight/eating issues and seeks a long-term solution.

K Santora: I have had a terrific experience at the National Center for Weight and Wellness. I am a long-time patient and find the doctors and staff to be professional, competent and caring. They care about me as an individual and have made a difference in my life and my approach to health. I am ever grateful.

Clay Katsky: NCWW was exactly what I needed because Dr. Kahan and his colleagues focused on my individual needs, rather than trying to indoctrinate me into some sort of one-size-fits-all program. There is no "do this," or "do that," only "let's figure out what works for you." That's why they are the real deal.

Allcare Family Medicine And Primary Care: what do users think?

JL: Earlier today I made an appointment to see a physician because I was not feeling well. When I made my appointment I noted my symptoms as loss of appetite and discoloration on my tongue. When I arrived at the office the young lady at the front desk was extrude and short with me. When I noted this her attitude changed and she stated that she did not see what her height had to do with anything. She then proceeded to ask me to complete a form. She took one look at the form and told me that I would need to see the doctor via televisit. When I asked her why she stated that because I had a headache and abdominal pain coupled with the loss of taste that I could not see the doctor. She wanted me to go outside in the cold and speak to a doctor in the middle of the street. This was my second poor experience at this facility.
Response: JL, we are committed to our COVID-SAFE policy, which is meant to protect not only our staff and other patients but also yourself. --- IF we allow everyone with sore throat or other Covid-like symptoms to come in and get tested inside the office, BY CHANCE ALONE you will be exposed to Covid-19 while in waiting room or exam room where the previous patients was getting seen for sore throat... --- We hope you can appreciate that these measures are for health and safety of not only our staff and other patients, but also your own HEALTH AND SAFETY. --- Thank you for understanding.

Jordan Dias: I went early hoping to get an emergency rapid covid test and they had a sign on the door telling me to go to 1050 K st NW for testing. I go and the concierge at the new location and she tells me they’re not doing testing in the building at all. I call ARC 4 times and they never picked up. I had to go to 3 different clinics in total and even though I came early to District Urgent Care there is a very long line. If there are location changes, please make sure the staff at the different building are made aware of this so that patients are not crowded waiting outside one singular testing site.
Response: I’m very sorry to hear this! Our entrance is on from the side - no need to enter the building !!! And you cannot get tested without telemedicine appointment first !!! Please read our website !!!!

Liam Mulligan: I have been going here for nearly a year for regular appointments and always receive great care. Emily Johnson is a fantastic medical professional who always makes me feel at ease and thoroughly explains all my options and any procedures. She has a great bedside manner.
Response: Liam, your positive feedback is greatly appreciated. It’s always a pleasure to serve our patients.

Chengyan Zhang: Worst medical care experience ever. I scheduled an in-person appointment for checking a swollen tonsils. Was told that this could not be in-person because it is upper respiratory and concerns for COVID. I offered to provide negative COVID test result from the day before, but was told it didn’t matter and they can only see me virtually. I told them the physician would not be able to see my tonsils clearly, and this would be meaningless, but they still would not see me in person. Fine. I was too painful and accepted the virtual appointment. The physician of my appointment was late for half and hour, and a practitioner nursed showed up and told me the physician of my appointment was running late and could not see me….. the appointment was very brief; the NP told me she cannot diagnose because she couldn’t see my tonsils- exactly what I told them when I insisted a virtual visit would not work. I received the bill today. For this experience, they charged me $475?!?!?! With insurance, I still need to pay half of that. Seriously?! For an appointment that the physician was late and didn’t even show up I’m charged $475. What kind of health care is this? How is this not fraud? I highly suggest you avoid this place at all cost. I will never come back again and will tell everyone I know to avoid this place.
Response: Chengyan, we are committed to our COVID-SAFE policy, which is meant to protect not only our staff and other patients but also yourself. IF we allow everyone with sore throat or other Covid-like symptoms to come in and get tested inside the office, BY CHANCE ALONE you will be exposed to Covid-19 while in waiting room or exam room where the previous patients was getting seen for sore throat... Manuel Santiago: Avoid this place. My experience was terrible with one of their attending physicians. I went with excruciating lower back pain and it was clear he does not care about patients. He gave me a pain medicine prescription without even trying to investigate the cause for it. I eventually requested an MRI after talking to another physician outside DC, and ended up realizing the cause of the pain and finally got treatment and therapy for it. But the physician in Allcare didn't even care about helping. His evaluation was just as good as going to a pharmacy and getting over-the-counter ibuprofen.
Response: Manuel, we are sorry to hear about your experience. Please contact us directly at feedback@allcarefamilymed.com for us to better understand the details of your visit. Rest assured, we will take the appropriate action to make it right. We take great care in delivering an exceptional healthcare experience for every patient.

Katie Kohn: I highly recommend Dr. Talavari from AllCare. He is the first doctor that I have had in my 38 years of life that I feel has really listened to me and wants to help. Appointments are easy to get and they are almost always on time. Blood draws are a breeze. I will never go anywhere else for primary care.
Response: Katie, thank you for your kind words. We are grateful to you for choosing us 🤗

Sarah Hughner: I saw Yousef Talavari virtually (had received a negative covid test). He was late to the appointment, extremely short with me, and unhelpful. His only recommendation was to get tested for strep throat despite me not having the symptoms of strep throat. I told him I would get the test and asked about what other possible diagnoses would be if the test came back negative. He immediately got defensive, wouldn't answer my question, and accused me of not knowing how medicine works. Throughout the whole appointment he was rude and dismissive; he spent less than a few minutes listening to my symptoms and would not answer any of my questions, preferring to tell me that I did not understand his profession.
Response: Sarah, please contact us directly at feedback@allcarefamilymed.com for us to better understand the details of your visit.

Shay Collins: Not a complaint with this location, but rather with Allcare generally. I had a Telehealth appointment with one of the doctors at this location yesterday and, based on my symptoms, he ordered testing for me at Allcare’s K St NW location. I get there and fill out their text prompt to let them know I’m there and no one comes out to get me like the website said they would. I tried the door and it was locked. I then called Allcare and they said that the location had closed. When I pointed out that one of their own doctors had told me to go there one day prior, the person on the phone said, “we just found out it closed today, we just found out it closed two hours ago.” No sign on the door, no contact to patients to let them know the location had closed. Just left me—while I am sick enough to seek urgent care—to go to their location to only then, and only because I called, find out they had closed their doors that day. I asked the person on the phone if they could order my tests to be done somewhere elsewhere in DC (since their other locations were in Maryland and Virginia) and she told me they could only order tests to their own locations. Wasting a ton of time and money driving around trying to get the tests they ordered because they apparently closed shop with no heads up to any of their staff and didn’t even bother to put up a sign in their storefront. Shameful.
Response: Shay, we are sorry to hear about your experience. Please contact us directly at feedback@allcarefamilymed.com for us to better understand the details of your visit. Rest assured, we will take the appropriate action to make it right.

Savannah Klein: Doctor YT was not sufficient, just did some blood tests and told me he couldn’t figure out what was wrong, over several visits. Really not knowledgeable. Allcare charged me hundreds of dollars for 10 minute visits and somehow found ways to both mess up the insurance handoff and improperly bill me. Do not recommend at all.
Response: Savannah, we are sorry to hear about your experience. Please contact us directly at feedback@allcarefamilymed.com for us to better understand the details of your visit. Rest assured, we will take the appropriate action to make it right. We take great care in delivering an exceptional healthcare experience for every patient.

Billy Wood: I scheduled an appointment over the phone, and specifically told the person what procedure i was looking for. When i arrived, i told them again what procedure i needed. They admitted me, charged my copay, then told me they didn't have the tools available, so they sent me to a second AllCare location and told me i would be able to walk in. Upon arrival, the second location was booked full (which they had told the Rhode Island Ave location over the phone) and was not able to admit me. Genuinely a very frustrating and unprofessional experience; I'll be avoiding the Rhode Island Ave location in the future.
Response: Billy, we are sorry to hear about your experience. Please contact us directly at feedback@allcarefamilymed.com for us to better understand the details of your visit. Rest assured, we will take the appropriate action to make it right. We take great care in delivering an exceptional healthcare experience for every patient.

GW Immediate and Primary Care: Cleveland Park: what do users think?

Orielena Lopez- Williams: I have been going to this urgent care for 5 years now. The doctor that saw me was very nice and had a great bed side manner but every time I have to refill my prescription is a nightmare. I followed the steps they have to call or use the app or whatever the protocol is and it never gets refill. I called a month ahead an nothing gets done. When I call today the receptionist told me that I have to go in, pay for a visit and then they will refill my prescription. I am sitting here without medication for my diabetes management... this is just unacceptable. The level of stress and anxiety that refilling a prescription causes me increase my blood sugar levels tremendously. I have been experiencing panic attacks and everything. This is wrong.
Response: Hi Orielena, thank you for sharing your experience with us. As a patient, your concerns are important to us and we would like to learn more about this issue. Please feel free to reach out to our Patient Experience team at patientexperience@mfa.gwu.edu or 202-677-6620.

TC TC: I might broke my rib, because it was really pain and internal organs move around Pain,I called in advance, no answer. this clinic was extremely rude.no one there only front desk and 1 guy back. no other patient. they tell me no doctor, no x-tech. I ask just quick, if can wait for next day x-ray will be ok. the physician assistant guy refuse to do so. told me to go GW hospital ER. I told them I don't want to go GW hospital ER b/c COViD risk! but they don't care, not providing service. 2 days after visit GW ER, my covid19 test become positive. DO NOT GO THERE EVER! This is place doesn't help people only put people to sick more!

Jason Sousa: This place is almost completely useless. Terrible communication for follow-up information. One thing they don't mention at all on their website is that if you have a sinus infection or any kind of upper respiratory issue, they will not even entertain the idea of seeing you until noon when they start doing COVID tests. And that window only lasts until 3 pm. So you will be competing with the backlog and the people coming solely for COVID testing before you can even think of receiving any care. When I did finally get seen for my sinus infection, they found every excuse they could to not prescribe antibiotics. After a visit to my primary care and a total of 4 days of suffering, I finally got antibiotics that cleared it right up. This place does not care about helping people. You definitely feel like you're a burden to them while they just try to clock their hours for the day. Use as an absolute last resort.

Amy Friedman: Received courteously and efficiently. I was able to see the nurse practitioner withon five minutes of arrival. Both the tech and the N.P. were highly competent. The N.P. was able to identify and provide a solution for my symptoms. I am very happy with the experience and highly reommend this urgent care facility.

Megan Gregory: I’m going to start with a summary of this experience - The nurse practitioner I saw here displayed blatant incompetence to a point that I had to actually insist on X-rays to confirm that I had pneumonia. It was the most ridiculous interaction I’ve ever had with a medical professional. ** I went in with shortness of breath, extremely congested and coughing up dark yellow mucus. I was asked about allergies, I have none. She had me do a breathing treatment anyways and asked if I felt any better, I felt no different. She tried to tell me to get over the counter meds for allergies and send me on my way… Not only did the nurse practitioner not want to get x-rays done of my chest, but when I insisted she basically was like well I guess we can do that. After getting the X-rays the nurse practitioner told me she thought my scans looked clear but had to send them out, and continued to push her over the counter allergy meds. The X-ray tech actually pointed out where she saw signs of infection in my lower left lung prior to the practitioner stating she thought my scans were clear. The nurse practitioner called me 20 mins later to tell me I had pneumonia and I am “such a good advocate for myself”.

Renée Guerrero Pozos: The experience is horrible. I came today with a lot of pain on my throat and my ear. I need medicine soon. They kept me waiting for half an hour after the visit - just to tell me that they didn’t know why was I in such pain and that they need 3 days to let me know what’s wrong with me. Also, during the visit, they didn’t asked for any other of my symptoms. I just kept talking by myself because the woman there wasn’t even paying attention to what was I saying. Such a terrible experience. Do not come here if you’re feeling sick and you need help soon - they will keep you waiting just like me, that I cannot even stand my ear pain and I have to wait days to know what do I have and what do I need to do to feel better.

Brittney Harrington: The practice website doesn't allow me to make appointments with my primary care provider, I am directed to call but the phone is never answered. The only way I have been able to make an appointment previously is by physically going there, but the reception staff were rude and kept telling me I could schedule an appointment online, or through the MyChart app (which I still can't).
Response: Hi Brittney, thank you for sharing your experience with us. Your concerns are important and we want to help solve this problem in a timely way. Please contact our Office of Patient Experience so they may troubleshoot these issues directly with you: patientexperience@mfa.gwu.edu or 202-677-6620.

Ivelisse Cruz: This clinic rarely answers phone calls. On three separate days I tried to call for an appointment. On hold for 20 minutes each time, then switched over to the clinic downtown with no notice that I was being transferred to a different facility. Doctors appear careless. Came in twice for treatment. Two different prescriptions, neither worked. Had to go elsewhere for effective treatment. Last time in clinic for something different. No receptionist. Filled out information on a sheet of paper and they still attended to the person who came after me first. Since changing hands to GW, service has gotten worse. If I could give it zero stars, I would.
Response: Hi Ivelisse, thank you for sharing your experience with us. Your concerns are important and we want to help solve this problem in a timely way. Please contact our Office of Patient Experience so they may troubleshoot these issues directly with you: patientexperience@mfa.gwu.edu or 202-677-6620.

Solomon Alemu: I have never experienced such rude and rough conversation from the front desk, the most unprofessional and poor customer service in DC. GW should close this facility for the sake of GW itself.I had to give a star b/c there is no zero star.
Response: As a patient, your concerns are important to us. We want to help you solve your problem in a timely way. Please contact our Office of Patient Experience so they may troubleshoot these issues directly with you: patientexperience@mfa.gwu.edu or 202-677-6620.

Manik Hinchey: I’ve been on hold for TWENTY NINE minutes just to ask if they do walk-in Covid PCR tests, and how late they are open to get the test. Previously had experience with the doctors there, who were very nice, but impossible to reach by phone, and with enormously long wait times, so I see some things haven’t changed. Giving up now because if I’m on hold for this long just to ask a simple question, it makes me think maybe I should go somewhere else to get a five minute test.
Response: Hi Manik, thank you for sharing your experience with us. Your concerns are important and we want to help solve this problem in a timely way. GW Immediate & Primary Care - McPherson Square: what do users think?

Ashlee Winters: Do not recommend. Wish I saw all the reviews before making an appointment but I was desperate. Went in for a strep test on 4/29. Was told I would have the results in 24 hours. Called 24 hours later and was told the doctor gave inaccurate information, that it would be four days. Also took a Covid test and was given inaccurate information about results time. What is most problematic is the chart information that was typed up after my visit with completely false information such as the questions asked to me as the patient and the conversations that were had. They also completely lost my strep test which was the reason I came in in the first place.

Tony G: Awful experience. The Dr and nurse argued for about 5 minutes outside the treatment room. I heard it clearly and it was about each one telling the other on how to handle their job. The treatment I received was minimal and the prescription was under estimated. Also to note, the Dr mentioned my tonsils were swollen, however I mentioned I had the removed 42 years ago and her response was horrifying. I recommend somewhere else for immediate/urgent care. And GW really needs to clean up the practice.

Kayla J: I went in Friday 4/15 because I thought I had a sinus infection. I felt horrible, I had bodily chill and everything. The doctor was a short female and she seemed like she wasn’t taking me that serious. I asked the doctor to retake my temperature instead of the nurse because of my chills and she told me no she wouldn't because the ear test is the most accurate. Fast forward to 4/18 and I have covid and this clinic has yet to call me and tell me so. I received a call from the DC covid Team, not them. I’m a server and this weekend I came in contact with SEVERAL HUNDRED people and that could have been prevented if she could’ve retaken my temperature and told me I had a fever when I felt it but I couldn’t get off work w/o a legit excuse/reason. I will never go here again and the receptionists had the audacity to get loud with me and cut me off when I called today and told her I was angry no one has reached out to me. I was not nasty to her but she was to me, she took it personal I told her the doctor hasn’t called me yet and that was not her place.
Response: Hi Kayla, thank you for sharing your experience with us. As a patient, your concerns are important to us and we would like to learn more about this issue. Please feel free to reach out to our Patient Experience team at patientexperience@mfa.gwu.edu or 202-677-6620.

Charles Stanley: Went in an hour before closing (7pm). The receptionist was sure to tell me that they were “almost closed” and wanted to know exactly what I wanted treatment for. Then coincidentally her computer wasnt working and was unable to register me to be seen. After 2 attempts to “restart” she sent me away to another location further away. Not friendly nor professional. Definitely won’t be back.

Teresa Jacob: The front desk workers at 10:10am today were blatantly talking about me while I was in the lobby filling out my papers. I was so appalled that I returned the clipboard and asked for my ID and Insurance card back and left. Would not recommend unless you enjoy being ridiculed while seeking much needed medical attention. First doctors visit since I moved to the district and was not at all satisfied. Way to uplift a struggling single mother of an autistic pre schooler that's new to the area.
Response: Hi Teresa, your concerns are important to us. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. Please contact our Office of Patient Experience so they may troubleshoot these issues directly with you: patientexperience@mfa.gwu.edu or 202-677-6620.

Jeff Relyea: A few months ago I had a great appointment at this location with another doctor. This week, I had an appointment this week with Dr. Sahi. Dr. Sahi is impatient and unprofessional. Dr. Sahi called me "dude" several times. Dr. Sahi behaves as though he would rather be at home and does not want to be at work. He appeared to walk in the door in a bad mood and with an attitude of some sort. When I left, the staff readily handed me a card to file a complaint before I asked - I've never filed a complain on a doctor and didn't know it was an option until they offered. Apparently, complaints against Dr. Sahi are very common. I called the number and was connected with the voicemail of Warren Adams but I did not receive a call back. At the end of the appointment, the one passionate thing that Dr. Sahi said was, "you will be billed" and also gave me a sarcastic "good luck". No concern for the health and well-being of folks walking in the door but tremendous concern for billing. Avoid Dr. Sahi. I think the volume of patients is getting to him - he is certainly not behaving like a caring and compassionate doctor. Sounds like he's really into sports medicine though.

Ashley O'Sullivan: Wish I could give negative stars. Absolute nightmare of a practice - they do not care about their patients' well-being at all and make simple tasks like Rx refill, etc. near impossible. Avoid at all costs.

etayus: NOT open & NO care! McPherson Square IPC's receptionist claimed to be "at capacity" despite an *empty* waiting area and my appeals that it was still earlier than cutoff by 1 Hour (easily ample time for a few patients). Unfortunately, I did not get that Medical, although I made a special commute trip there in person. Sad they were too keen to close extra early, the big receptionist rudely *refused* patients already there. Extremely inconsiderate to patients and their time ~ Should change receptionist or list their real *reduced* hours instead of misleading patients, and scheming to turn away patients who came in, just to close much earlier than officially listed.
Response: Hi Eugene, thank you for sharing your experience with us. Your concerns are important and we want to help solve this problem in a timely way. Please contact our Office of Patient Experience so they may troubleshoot these issues directly with you: patientexperience@mfa.gwu.edu or 202-677-6620.

Jeremy McLane: I saw Dr. Joel Willis after reading numerous reviews of how good his care and attention to patients was, yet was unfortunately very disappointed. While his office provided an referral to physical therapy, the nurse interrupted me multiple times and rushed me through explaining why I was there. Additionally, Dr. Willis spent no more than 5 minutes with me before promptly leaving, offering very little medical advice beyond that they would refer me out for PT, and if I wanted more help from him, I should make a follow-up appt with his office >1 month later. For the cost that was billed to my insurance, it felt like a complete waste of time.
Response: Hi Jeremy, thank you for sharing your experience with us. Your concerns are important and we want to help solve this problem in a timely way. Please contact our Office of Patient Experience so they may troubleshoot these issues directly with you: patientexperience@mfa.gwu.edu or 202-677-6620.

Sivan Kromelian: I don’t think it’s possible to be less effective than the way these people operate. After sending us to all three locations around the city, we were finally told that in order to be seen at these so called walk-in locations, we need to line up outside the clinic an hour prior to the beginning of the testing to get a number. Once the testing starts, no more people can be admitted to be tested.

District Dental Solutions of Washington DC: what do users think?

Rohan Dalvi: I have been going to Dr. Arroyo for over 7 years now and I am very happy with my decisions. The staff is professional, the office is clean, and my dental care is absolutely top-notch. I have recommended this practice to multiple friends and plan to remain a loyal customer for many years to come.

Brent Troy David: It is not often you can have a great experience at a dentist office, but I am here to tell you if it’s going to happen, it will happen at District Dental Solutions. Drs. Arroyo & Arroyo (along with their amazing staff), are exceptionally caring and compassionate! They are non-judgmental and have definitely gone out their way to help me with my extensive dental issues, most especially caused by months of chemotherapy to overcome Stage 4 Lymphoma, which almost killed me. After years of not being able to afford proper care, they are doing everything possible for me to address my dental woes. I am truly grateful for their amazing service, compassion, professionalism, and integrity.

Greg Cooke: This is a terrific dental practice. Excellent care, friendly staff. Drs John and Jeremy are thoughtful and skilled as are the hygienists. The administrators are super helpful with insurance paperwork. I can’t imagine going anywhere else for my dental care.

Sarah Marshall: This is a great dental practice. They are skilled and gentle and thorough. Best dentist I have ever been to in a long life of dentists. I'm sticking with this one!

Yelena Skalinskaya: Dr. Jeremy - what an amazing dentist … I transferred here from another practice and have been very happy with my choice! I came in with butchered veneers which Dr. Jeremy fixed up as much as he could, but they were still meh… I kept nagging and nagging about new veneers, but Dr. Jeremy wouldn’t budge - we had to move my teeth first or it wouldn’t look the way I wanted, which we did (thanks Invisalign). I did have major PTSD from my first experience with veneers, but the temp veneers looked so great - I was willing to do whatever. I didn’t stop torturing Dr. Jeremy though, one of the veneers didn’t fit quite right and we had to redo it - but that was quick and easy (for me at least 😅). Also, full disclosure, I take naps at my cleaning sessions - so relaxing! The hygienist literally has to hook my cheek and move my head as I doze off 😂 There’s a parking garage right next to the building - get in before 8:30am and you get a discounted rate 🙌 Finally, they’re in the process of designing a whole new office - I’m sure the space will be hot - can’t wait to see it!

Angie Acevedo: Grateful to be in good hands for all my dental needs…. Loyal client for over fifteen years..Everyone is extra special from admin, techs, and doc’s. Thank you everyone on the team.

Jane Quenk: I have been going to District Dental since I moved to Washington DC in 1989. I have always experienced patient-oriented service with care and listening to my concerns. I highly recommend this practice.

Kim Borbely: Each and every staff member is wonderful with our kiddos. They make X-rays for the kids comfortable. Our whole family are patients.

Lynae Butler: I really enjoy coming to District Dental every time! From the minute you walk through the door, you are treated like family. Everyone is very nice, welcoming and friendly. They are very cleanly and the office is kept in wonderful condition. Carmen does my cleanings and she is very thorough and informative. She lets me know how I can take better care of my teeth and truly takes interest in my well-being. Dr. Jeremi is so nice as well. He makes sure to answer all questions and has a wonderful manner with his patients. I would recommend everyone to come to District Dental Solutions.

Jamison Moore: Great practice, lovely people, and easy to work with. No run around with billing, no surprises, and everyone is smart and nice. I have no dental drama, but my wife, who absolutely hates all things dental loves this practice. There is a parking lot under the office, was $17 for over an hour, so pretty normal for the neighborhood.

MedStar Health: Urgent Care at Adams Morgan: what do users think?

Monique Monique: This is hands down, the best urgent care I’ve ever been to. Last time I came and was seen in 30 min. This time I waited a LOT longer however the staff are just so personable and it’s like they really care! Melony Allen is on of the staff at the front desk. She answered all of my questions with such empathy and called me on two separate occasions to keep me updated about how long ir would take me to be seen. I’m all taken care of now. Thank you MedStar
Response: Monique, thank you for your kind words and for your patience while waiting for care. We appreciate your feedback and are delighted to hear that we earned five stars thanks to our team, especially Melony. We will surely share your feedback with her so that she can be recognized for her outstanding communication and service to you. Thank you for choosing MedStar Health. We hope you are well on your way to feeling better and wish you the best!

Anna Mortara: I am very disappointed at the care I found last time. I was not seen by a doctor and was told by the nurse that they would ask for a urine culture. I waited patiently for it to find out they never really asked for it. Instead, they performed an in-house exam that is not well reported in the 10-pages long documentation I got when I left the center. I refused a culture exam with my doctor afterwards as I thought they had asked for it. As a side note, the technician who applied the antibiotics injection I had was lovely, super humane, well trained and nice talking to.
Response: Anna, thank you for your review and feedback. We're happy to hear that you had a great experience with a technician at our clinic. On the other hand, we're very sorry that not all aspects of your visit were as positive. We take your concerns seriously and would like to reach out to you for more information as soon as we can. If you're willing, please fill out our secure online patient feedback form: http://bit.ly/mshpff. We hope to speak with you soon.

Salim Fayeq: Staff is all around pleasant and friendly but the patient experience was really subpar at best. My meeting with the actual clinician herself felt rushed and far too short in length. I barely could ask the questions I felt I should ask and it all around seemed like I was just seen for the sake of being seen, not for the betterment of my health issue at hand. I did not feel the clinician cared about my concerns and just wanted to get me out as soon as possible. Terrible health system in this county; and this visit was a testament of it.
Response: Salim, thank you for your review. We always want our patients to know that we care about them when they come to our facility. We take your concerns seriously and would like to reach out to you for more information. If you're willing, please fill out our secure online patient feedback form: http://bit.ly/mshpff. We hope to speak with you soon and are committed to doing everything we can to provide the best patient experience.

Miss Elena: Good experience at this location. Appointment was set for 11:30. Arrived and filled out paperwork. 20 minute wait to be taken back to exam room. Waited another 20 minutes until doctor came. Very nice Doc diagnosed my illness and wrote out a prescription. I was out the door within an hour of arrival. Highly recommend.
Response: Thank you for your 5-star review, Elena! While we never want you to be sick or injured, it’s our pleasure to do all we can to make your visit a positive one. Thank you for choosing MedStar Health Urgent Care. We hope you’re well on your way to feeling better, and we wish you the best of health!

S O: I waited over 2.5 hours despite having an appointment and still did not get treated because I had to leave before a medical provider could see me. The front desk staff was pleasant and professional, but there were not enough medical providers to meet the demand. The waiting room was so crowded not everyone could sit down, and there was absolutely no space for social distancing. A patient who seemed incoherent kept wandering around without proper supervision. It's clear this place is not focused on patient care. Avoid it if you have any other option.
Response: Thank you for your feedback. We are very sorry for your experience. Your feedback is important to us and would like to reach out to you for more information. If you’re willing, please fill out our secure online patient feedback form: http://bit.ly/mshpff. We hope to speak with you soon.

Maham Khan: Terrible experience. I called to find out if they do medical clearance for schools/colleges. The man on the phone said they do. I walked in the same day and they confirmed that they do this, I showed them my college forms and the receptionist and the NP both said it can be done. They did my TB test and told me to return 48 hours later for the physical examination. I have returned 2 days later, only to be told that they in fact do NOT do physical forms for school/college with no explanation except ‘we don’t do this’ repeatedly being said to me. Incompetent and rude clinic and staff. One of the girls at the front desk was the rudest woman I have met in a long time. I have now wasted 2 days and am incredibly close to my deadline for medical clearance. DO NOT COME HERE. And now as I sit here waiting for my TB result to be read I can hear the two receptionists talking about me. One of them is saying I’m lying and I was probably never told that my physical will be done. And that I’m back just to make up a story and try again :)
Response: Thank you for your feedback. We are very sorry for your experience with our team and would like to follow up with you. If you are willing, please send us your contact information by using our secure feedback form: http://bit.ly/mshpff. We hope to have the opportunity to speak with you soon.

Sharlie Goodson: I waited over an hour in the waiting room before being seen even though I had an appointment. Once I got back, the nurse informed me that their X-ray tech left early so they could not treat me fully. No one informed me of this when I checked in even though I had clearly stated a wrist injury on my intake form. Once I was in the patient room, I waited another 30 minutes to be seen by a doctor and get my X-ray order to take to a different one of their locations 30 minutes away. This is by far the worst experience I’ve ever had at an urgent care and/or doctor’s office. I will be staying away from medstar facilities from here on out.
Response: Sharlie, we are very sorry for your experience and would certainly be frustrated by this, too. We'd like to follow up with you for more information. If you're willing, please send us your contact information by filling out our secure online patient feedback form: http://bit.ly/mshpff. We hope to have the opportunity to speak with you soon.

Hector Zarate: The staff are friendly but this was hands down the worst urgent care experience I've ever had. After waiting for 2.5 hours to see someone, the service from the physician was just ok. It was clear that they're overworked. I went on a Sunday because I couldn't go during the work week. They ordered the wrong lab and told me I needed to come back in to repeat labs which was simply impossible with my schedule. I basically wasted an entire afternoon for nothing. Then, I had to also waste time trying to find the results of the lab that they did take a sample for. I understand everyone's overworked but maybe they should just not schedule as many appointments as they do.
Response: Hector, thank you for your review and feedback. We're very sorry for your experience when you came to us for care. We understand that mistakes on our part can cause additional stress. We truly apologize for any frustration and have shared your contact information with our team leaders to look into. We'd like to reach out to you for more information. If you're willing, please fill out our secure online patient feedback form: http://bit.ly/mshpff. We hope to speak with you soon.

Jane Sheehan: Went for covid test appointment: it took over 2 hours. I was swabbed after waiting 45 mins and the paperwork they showed me said they had my results 10 mins later. But they have a rule that you must see a doctor when you get your results - probably to enable more billing). I asked to leave and have my results emailed (i didnt need to see a doctor/ wasn’t very sick, just needed results)- not allowed. I complained of the long wait and again said i dont need to see a doctor and have been here 2 hours and one nasty nurse who spoke to me disdainfully several times told me they were just busy, I had to wait my turn. But the reason they were busy is the requirement to meet with the doctor. The doctor spent 5 seconds with me, gave me paperwork and that was it. Overall staff was unpleasant and the delay seemed to be of their own making. I would never go here again.
Response: Jane, thank you for your review. We are very sorry for your experience. We expect all members of our team to treat our patients with the highest levels of kindness and respect. It's disheartening that this did not happen during your visit, and we will surely share this feedback with our urgent care leaders so we can take corrective action. We're also sorry for the long wait to meet with a provider. MedStar Health is not a government testing facility, so while we are happy to serve our community in providing COVID-19 testing, we must abide by established urgent care protocols. Every patient, whether symptomatic or asymptomatic, receiving a COVID-19 test be evaluated by a provider in order to ensure their safety and accuracy in diagnosis. We'd like to reach out to you for more information and to see if there's anything we can do to help. Please fill out our secure online patient feedback form so that we can be in touch as soon as we can: http://bit.ly/mshpff.

Norma Canedo: The receptionist staff and nurses were wonderful. I just had a very bad experience with the young doctor whose last name starts with an A. As part of my visit, I asked for a pregnancy test. In sharing the results, he joyfully congratulated me for not being pregnant, without first asking me what I wanted the results to be. He was very happy and when he asked if that is what I wanted, I said no. My husband and I have been trying for months now. This response was very cold and unprofessional, as he does not know my medical history. Later, he kept berating me on a private medical decision I have made. He kept insisting, asking me about my decision. It was very accusatory and overall a negative conversation. Instead of having a normal mature conversation, I felt like I was being insulted by someone who does not know me at all. This was my favorite medical care center, but this completely changed my mind. I had to tell him he was making me uncomfortable and that the conversation was uncomfortable. It was a strange and awful experience. I pray he will realize that he should not let his personal views and unprofessional attitude get in the way of his serving his patients. I was completely disappointed.
Response: Thank you for your review and feedback, Norma. We are very sorry for your experience. We expect all members of our team to treat our patients with the highest levels of respect and kindness. It’s disheartening to hear that this did not happen during your visit. We’d very much like to reach out to you for more information. If you’re willing, please fill out our secure online patient feedback form: http://bit.ly/mshpff. We hope to speak with you soon.

DC Health and Wellness Center: what do users think?

Omololu Majekodunmi: My experience at DC Health and Wellness Center has been excellent. I have been a patient for about three years and I have had the chance to see Jason Beverly, NP. Jason is always punctual with appointments. His vast medical knowledge is unsurpassed by any other healthcare professional I have ever had. My favorite part about our appointments is that he sits me down and uses words and sentences I can understand. If you are looking for a local healthcare provider that accepts state plans, I HIGHLY recommend the DC Health and Wellness Center!

Russ Russell: The most amazing public or private health service I have ever experienced. Extremely knowledgeable, friendly and compassionate staff. Also one of the cleanest and most accommodating govt facilities I have ever visited. Visit gave buddy and I immediate treatment and comfort. Thanks so much for the services provided. Congress and DC must continue to fund facilities such as this especially in the current environment of continuous virus outbreaks such as COVID, monkeypox, meningitis, STI’s, etc. Thanks again DC dept of health. I will be researching the govt reps that support public health and voting down ballot on that issue.

Deborah Johnson: My grandson tested positive for TB via blood test even though his chest xray was negative. He is currently under treatment for Latent TB - no symptoms but the germ is in his blood. Without treatment it could become active TB. The doctors and staff have been overly friendly and helpful as well as explaining the diagnosis and treatment from start to finish as they knew I was freaking out. Very very happy this is the office handling his treatment.

Donathan James: Had an appointment this morning at 10am, the actually got me started at 9:55. Everyone was super nice: The lady at the front desk, the nurse who took my blood pressure and temperature (Tanekia, I think), the supervisor who did my intake (Jason), and the nurse who took my blood. I was out of there at 10:45. No complaints!

Johnny Dollar: The outside of the building is a bit ruff but once inside of the office , the staff is really nice and fast. First results are preliminary in before you even leave and you get the rest relatively fast over a online portal. By accident the bill form the lab was send to my house instead of DC.gov which I thought I had to pay to my surprise , but after my initial review mentioning the bill they called me to apologize for the mistake and took care of it , hence the response on my review below
Response: Thank you for your feedback. I apologize that you have received this bill. If a patient opts to use their insurance, we will bill the insurance for laboratory work. However any fee not covered by the insurance should be passed onto our facility, not the individual. I am deeply sorry for this. Our staff will be reaching out to addresss this issue tomorrow and we will investigate why you have been assessed a fee from your insurance company. Thank you for choosing the Health and Wellness Center.

Mia K Arakaki: Im here for an several months for work and was turned away because I'm not a resident. I live in New York full time and we don't turn anybody away take health seriously. The website said they won't turn anyone away and yet I'm turned away they were completely refused to see me
Response: Hello, Thank you for your feedback. We try to accommodate everyone at the DC Health and Wellness Center, but unfortunately, due to COVID space restrictions and provider schedules we prioritize in person visits for persons who are either: currently experiencing symptoms, receiving on-going care for preventive services at the clinic, and those who live within the District. We attempt to accommodate all other individuals with either a tele-health appointment or when we have availability. I apologize about this and am available to talk further. If you have the time, please call me at 202-741-7692 and ask to speak to the medical director. A. Visconti, Medical Director, DCHWC

Salman Haji: They'll schedule you for an appointment but make you wait an extra hour in the waiting room. They don't really know what they're doing and often those mistakes will require you to make another appointment just to have to wait in the waiting room even longer. They never recorded my vitals on my first visit and had to do them again. Extremely unprofessional with no apologies for inconveniencing you. Choose another clinic.
Response: Thank you for your feedback regarding the clinic. I understand your frustration regarding the wait that occurred prior to your visit and apologize for the wait that occurred prior to your scheduled visit. As we discussed earlier over the phone, unfortunately we have unexpected additional wait times depending on the acuity of earlier patients. We appreciate the feedback to improve our clinic processes and I am sorry again for the inconvenience today.

Stanislaus Kahonde: Great place, staff always polite and will assist in every way they can.I'm particularly happy with my doctor, Dr. Bryce Furness ,an awesome professional man who handles his clients like gold. He is the main reason i have stayed at this place and thank you so much for your listening and care you provide sir.Keep up the great work
Response: Thank you so much for your feedback! Dr. Furness is truly an exceptional physician and we are glad that you're satisfied with the care provided at our site. Thank you for choosing the Health and Wellness Center.

J P: Had a telehealth appt scheduled same day. It was super easy and straight forward and Dawn was so nice and helped me feel comfortable and open. Thank you

Khamise Abdul-Jabbar: Ryan was polite and curteous! Provider Agnus is knowledgeable and gentle, she doesnt mi d answering questions and she is very encouraging. Jason (with the locs) ia always a breath of fresh air he is prefessional and non-judgemental. I always have a good experience.

Columbia Fertility Associates: what do users think?

L H: It was my husband and I first visit with Dr. Sacks and we felt so comfortable. He was very knowledgeable, patient and thorough. He provided us with very detailed options to help us make decisions on best next steps. We appreciated him very much.

Drashawn Gassaway: It was the best experience during this pandemic that I've had experience in a long time. I thank the entire staff that I encountered today they all are helpful, kind and I appreciate them and how they handle us today. Dr. Sack was just awesome, also LaShawn for providing us with needed information and for both her and Dr. Sacks making a exception for us today, we truly appreciate this experience, also thanks to the young lady that had done my blood work her energy was great

Maudess Fulton: Dr. Sacks is fantastic! He is knowledgeable and and has the best bedside manner in the business. He has a way of making you feel like everything will be okay and that is so necessary in area of fertility treatment.

Sherry Samuels: Dr. Sacks' energy was amazing from the start of our consult. He had a lot of information and we walked away from a conversation that we were a bit apprehensive about, feeling excited and encouraged. And even before the appointment, his office team made getting everything set up a breeze.

Christine AF: I've had one visit with Dr. Sacks and my husband and I felt respected, and acknowledged. He took the time to explain everything and wanted to be proactive about getting us started in growing our family. I'm looking forward to working with Dr. Sacks along this journey.

Laura B: I would really caution against this practice and recommend those considering making an appointment look at Yelp rather than Google reviews (maybe this says something about Google reviews being biased? The practice sends you a form asking for public feedback after your visit. They ask if it is positive or negative: if negative, you are rerouted to a private feedback form. If positive, you post publicly!). Yelp reviews are much more in line with my experience there, particularly with admin staff. In short, they are rude and disorganized. It's been hell on earth receiving my test results: no one would call me with them and when I would call to receive them/a copy they would angrily tell me there is nothing in the system and they have no way of even checking what was sent out to the lab. When I realized some of them were missing they told me I was supposed to come back on another day for that particular test (how could I know? no one had told me to when I was in the practice and I wouldn't have known had I not insisted upon it...). They can't even tell you how to check results. One nurse said she did not know. Another eventually said I should create an account with a particular lab. Really? How is this not more streamlined...? I did create said account, and never received results on there either. Never had a pleasant call: I always am made to feel like I am disturbing them and/or am being unreasonable for wanting a copy of results. Still only have about 30% of my labs. I hope they don't mess up my billing. The two stars are for Dr. Sacks, who seemed like a decent doctor. But I'm not sure this is worth the trouble: I can't imagine what this must be like if you're in it for some serious and complicated procedures (which some of the Yelp reviews describe) that require timely information.

Mommy Johnson: Just so no one has my experience take note ONLY THE DC OFFICE IS OPEN. THE N. VA AND BETHESDA OFFICES ARE CLOSED AND THERE IS NO INFORMATION ONLINE ABOUT IT. DO NOT BOOK IF DC IS NOT A REALISTIC OFFICE FOR YOU. Dr. Sacks is a 5 star doctor, but the office staff is less than. Rude, and after setting a follow up appointment then needing to cancel I was told my second appointment was never put on the books. I had to cancel because of the closed offices. Very frustrating.

Michele Dobiecki: Dr. Sacks is an angel! Incredible doctor with incredible bed side manner. He’s been a shining light throughout my journey!

Djeneba Kone: Great experience as a first timer. The staff was very friendly and helpful.Dr. Abbass' demeanor has really put me at eas e so i really recommend this clinic.

Shino Y: Dr. Butler is very nice. But I have had some communication issues with staff working there throughout. You can barely reach out to them by phone and email even if we are dealing with very time sensitive matter. I several times left messages to call me back, but I have never received any call back. It happened to me continuously. I saw other patients had the exact same complain as mine while I was visiting their office. They have some internal organizational and structural issues.

Washington Cancer Institute: what do users think?

Obianuju Efobi: The nurses are very nice but the pharmacy takes so much time to get the infusion bag ready. You need to include 3hrs in addition to infusion time.

Larry Howard: Some of the finest clinicians and nurses in the country. Works with in house and remote specialists from around the country to tailor care for the individual patient. Inpatient facility shows it’s age but the chemotherapy ward has attracted and maintains a staff second to none. When your oncologist calls you on the weekend to discuss your latest test results, you know it’s not just a job and you aren’t just a number. Complaints? Slow WiFi and inpatient food is not the best. Billing never seems to sort out secondary insurance until the second try.

M Reaves: Old facility that I hope I never have to visit as a patient. Typical big city hospital that deals more with volume than high quality care. Doctors have too many patients to efficiently manage.

Doctor Sunyak is very knowledgeable, very personable and is always willing to answer any and every question that you may have. The doctor and the staff are very down-to-earth they are very inviting and make you feel comfortable. I had slipped and fallen and landed on my back really hard and the pain was also felt in my neck. After several months of not feeling right, I decided to go to Kaizo Health and after a few neck and back adjustments and exercises I feel so much better, sleeping better and no more being uncomfortable. The neck and back adjustments are the best feeling that you will ever experience!!!!! Despite how it looks it DOES NOT hurt at all. I promise you will leave feeling like new money after you're done!!!

Aristides Pereira: The best and most effective chiropractor practice I have had the pleasure to visit. I suffered from chronic lower-back pain since 2003. I visited countless practices in two different continents, even tried acupuncture. Nothing really worked on the long run. At Kaizo Health in Fort Washington, they tackled my problem from a completely different perspective by merging physical therapy exercises to body manipulation. Now, after three months, I am pain free and getting my discharge from treatment. Their team of therapists are wonderful and made my journey to being pain free easier to reach. I recommend their services without any reservation.

A V: ***Trust Me, Please Read This Entire Review Until The End**** It is with every ounce in my being that I am more than impressed, happy and proud of my overall experience with this entire staff of this establishment. I first visited Kaizo Health Fort Washington in November 2021, as I suffered debilitating lower back pain/injury with my treatment and rehabilitation period took place from then until March 2022. I can honestly say that this was the most inviting, warm and trustworthy physical Chiropractic rehabilitation staff I have ever encountered. They all embraced me as a family member, with such warmth and effectiveness towards my recovery that I remain forever grateful. Dr. Kev is more than a Doctor, he is a pure master when it comes to trust, solid communication and nurturing effective rehabilitation with his clients. With every visit, he remained a profoundly trustworthy individual whose sole goal was the complete and careful recovery of my lower back condition with effortless communication of everything that will be done/practiced and accomplished to reward me with full recovery; which was delivered in full. That is just a precursor to his immaculate team of physical rehabilitation experts that operate with stellar precision and comfortable motivation towards every single patients' recovery and needs. The prestigious triple team of expert physical rehabilitation technicians who are Shavon, Shayla and Paris are unmatchable when it comes to patient wellness.(I absolutely love and miss you young ladies.) They are armed to the teeth with unique/effective expertise in techniques that will contribute to one's full normal functionality and even more. I want to thank you all for the blessing of care and rehabilitation that was accomplished in full. I'm a new and better Man thanks to ya'll! God Bless every single one of you, as I'm more than appreciative! You will be remissed to overlook this establishment for your Chiropratically physical rehabilitation and curative needs. ONE LOVE ❤️!

Washington Open MRI: what do users think?

Colleen Canter: If you are claustrophobic, this is the place to go!!! Dawn checked me in and was very pleasant and professional. Bitu, my MRI technician was great!! She made me feel relaxed and comfortable throughout the entire procedure. I will definitely keep them in mind for future use and will tell all of my family and friends about them.
Response: We are always available for you, and ANYONE with claustrophobia. We'll do our best to ensure that your needs are met! Wishing you good health. Thank you for choosing Washington Open MRI!

C Corson: I was very pleased with my experience at Washington Open MRI in Oxon Hill. Everything from scheduling the appointment to having the MRI done was done professionally and with ease. Jay made the check-in and check-out process a breeze. I was very anxious when I got there but the MRI Technologist, Renex, was incredibly patience with me and allowed me the time I needed to feel comfortable. I would highly recommend this office to anyone.
Response: Thank you so much for your kind review! Your satisfaction means the world to us. I will pass this on to iir staff in Oxon Hill!

Dr Lauren K Simmons: Jolie, Japava, & Renex were amazing! I use this location annually to support my wellness journey. If you want professionalism and A+ service, use them. If you require an open MRI, use them. It's awesome!
Response: Thank you, Dr. Simmons! It is our pleasure to serve you.

AG 678: The staff was super helpful and very accommodating. The receptionist was friendly as was the lab tech, and they both went out of their way to stay later and help us out. The lab tech was also very thorough with the imaging and kept checking on my dad in between. I would definitely recommend this place.
Response: Thank you! We always try our best to be courteous and professional. Your comments are appreciated and will be passed on to our staff.

Bev B.: I've had several MRI's here over the years. The techs were always nice and friendly, and the front office staff as well, with a few hiccups in past years. But my recent visits over the last 3 years have been a good experience. The only problem I have is not bring able to get an answer, or a returned call after leaving a voice mail when calling the office to make an appointment. I would recommend this place.
Response: Thank you for your kind and courteous review! We do all we can to ensure that your visit is a pleasant experience. It is a pleasure to serve you!

ray toler: The staff at Oxon Hill were great they were very professional and polite this was my 6th attempt at a mri The upright machine was a breeze so easy and the staff explained everything I would recommend it to anyone who needs to get a MRI . I drove 6 hours and would go back tomorrow . If you have any fears let me assure this is so easy and fast, give them a call and you won’t be disappointed.
Response: We are delighted that you had a great experience with us. We are the ONLY Stand-up/Sit-Down MRI in Maryland and we have discovered that in addition to the unique ability to scan patients in different positions we are the LEAST claustrophobic MRI in the world. It is a pleasure to be of service to you!

Bob Wood: I am being treated for a neck problem and could not be sure, due to what turned out to be five damaged discs, one severely, and pretty serious discomfort when lying flat on my back, that I could hold that position long enough under a regular MRI to complete the procedure. I actually did try to undergo one but had to stop it due to a neck cramp before the machinery actually started. Washington Open MRI allowing me to be in a seated position during their procedure solved the problem, along with the staff taking the time to make certain I was as comfortable as possible. Although my spine doctor had been concerned about the image quality an open MRI would produce, just as advertised, it was excellent and resulted in letting me move forward with procedures that have greatly reduced my neck pain.
    Response: Thank you!

T ToriD: First I just want to say how polite and kind this reception is when you call in. I’ve had the same lady twice truly exceptional warm and went out of her way to reschedule me after I mixed up my appointments, that day just a few hours later - now I gotta sit on oxon Hill durin rush hour, but with a smile on my face, and joy all over this receptionist that took my call. These are the people we need to clone but that’s just creepy
Response: Thank you, Tori! We always try to do our best to make our patients comfortable when visiting us. I will pass your compliment on to the staff.

Karen James: One of the few standing open mri's I. The area. Super helpful staff. Got all the prior Auth and coordinated with two doctors. Even informed me of things that the doctors usually include and to make sure My referral included it to make it easy on the doctor I was seeing the next day. It is not big and fancy but they have very specialized equipment that most of the fancy decorated dont. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because I specifically asked to have time before the images to set off the condition so it could be found. He said yes, but he was going to get a few regular ones first and then suddenly he said he was done and I didn't have time to set it off. Go to the back of the building. There is a huge sign across the front of the building but the actual entrench is in the back only accessible from the outside. See pic.
    Response: Thank you!

TazBoy07AbnR: There's a reason why we set appts. If a patient has one for 430pm, arrives on time. It doesnt mean, you're given the forms to fill out 20 minutes later. And as I'm sitting here at 505 pm typing this. I still havent gotten to the back yet. Last time, I had one last year at Rockville location, and everything was on time. We do have other places, things to go and do. Your lack of inefficiency is inexcusable, such as the receptionist whining about being the only there and have other things to take care of. This is why I begrudge coming to this location, if it weren't time pressing for a mri. I will be filing a formal complaint with corporate as well.
Response: Please accept our apologies for the delay in performing your scan at our Oxon Hill location. I checked with our MRI technologist and we had a patient prior to your scan who was very ill and required additional time to complete their scan. Why does this happen? We always try our best to ensure that patients who arrive on time are SEEN ON TIME, but we also have an obligation to properly scan our patients to ensure that their doctor receives the proper report and determines the best treatment for his patient. I hope you understand our dilemma in scheduling patients as efficiently as possible but in the medical industry these delays happen.

Capital Oral & Facial Surgery Center: what do users think?

Taylor G: I had such a fantastic experience getting my wisdom teeth out here! Everyone at the office was so kind and helpful setting up the emergency appointment and squeezed me in quickly. They walked me through everything that would be happening and detailed the financial aspects of the procedure, which I really appreciated. The procedure it self went really well and I didn't have any pain in the healing process. I was honestly amazed by how well everything went! I truly can't recommend Capital Oral Surgery enough!

Lena Jensen: I had an excellent experience here for my wisdom teeth removal! The whole office staff is so friendly, warm, and welcoming, and my surgery went so smoothly as did recovery and was so thankful for such an awesome experience. Dr. Rostami is incredible and so kind. If you're looking for a place in DC to get your wisdom teeth out, this is the place! So grateful for all their help and expertise.
Response: Thank you Jena for your kind review! Our entire team loved working with you. glad your recovery was smooth and we appreciate you sharing your experience! -Team COFSC

Brianna Brite: I recently got my wisdom teeth extracted with Capital Oral & Facial Surgery and had a great experience form start to finish. The front desk staff is extremely attentive and made scheduling, checking in and all payment related situations easy. The surgical assistant and surgeon herself are very friendly and made me feel comfortable by answering all of my questions and preparing me well before during and after surgery. Would absolutely recommend!

Stephanie Gray: This was my first experience with Capital Oral & Facial Surgery Center. Dr Rostami and her staff were incredibly professional, patient and provided outstanding care. I didn’t feel rushed and was provided ample time for questions and reassurance. They managed my expectations and provided a comforting experience. I highly recommend the practice.
Response: Thank you Ms. Gray for your feedback! we are glad you were comfortable with the care you received! -Team COFSC

Jennifer Umanzor: I am a skeptic of reviews in general but I believed the words of many before me on this review page when I was told my impacted lower wisdom teeth needed to be removed. I wanted something fast, easy, and as pain free as it could come. I’m still in disbelief that I got all three of those things with my leap of faith at Capital Oral. I saw the doctor, had my teeth removed the following week, was OOO the day of the surgery and, out of necessity, was instructing a fitness class the following day. Cannot possibly tell you how seamless it all was. If you’re antsy about dentists/oral care, come here and be prepared to be taken care of. (Also from reception to the hygienists/helpers/nurses/doctor, everyone was absolutely lovely!!!!!)

Drea Taylor: Hey this place had me come in for two or three appointments and the first appointment I told them I was a seizure patient they did not call my neurologist they did not do anything they just tried to give me Tylenol which doesn’t really do anything but make you sleep so I asked him if they can call a neurologist and they said no it would take up to three days which I think should have been done before they start performing The procedure &because I did not want Tylenol they refuse me as a patient but started my procedure numb me stuck me with Needles about 22 times . Me personally I don’t think it was about medication because after all these disagreements I told the doctor that I will take the Tylenol and he still would not do the procedure after numbing me with a needle 22 times I really think this was about me telling him he does not understand me because he is foreign I didn’t mean to be racist at all I just can’t communicate with foreigners very well so they left me numb without any surgery they called the police because I refuse to leave without service because it was just a simple disagreement The police came and I was not arrested The pictures are attached of my 4 wisdom teeth being stuck under my gums they did not try to put me to sleep or anything just numbing injection in my gums and oralgel on my gums & tried to send me home w Tylenol
Response: hello, you wrote the review for the wrong practice. we do not have you as a patient in our records and our surgeon is female not male. you probably intended to write the review for Capital Oral, Facial and Implant Surgery center, which is another practice not affiliated with this practice. we kindly ask you to remove the review and submit it to the right practice. Thank you! Team OFSC

Lucy Jackson: I had a very bad experience here. Right from the start Dr. Rostami did not take my concerns regarding my procedure seriously; I did NOT feel like safety and individualized care were her first priorities as I might have hoped especially from such a highly rated surgeon and practice. Over the course of several appointments, the office was increasingly not-accommodating and rude-- they were not willing to fit us into their schedule despite an emergency situation, and we continued to receive false information and diagnosis from Dr. Rostami, leading us needing to take our business elsewhere. Additionally, the office was not cleanly or well kept and we noticed dirt in one of the operating rooms. I highly recommend avoiding this practice for any dental//oral surgery needs you may have.
Response: Unfortunately Dr. Rostami will not advise you against her training. Dr.Rostami took the extra measure to refer you to other dental professionals and communicated with other specialists and your general dentist for your best treatment outcome. We take extra measures during COVID and are sorry to hear that the extra work that we have done and extra safety protocols that we have put in place has not been noticed by you! Our staff worked very hard to accommodate your every request and needs. We are happy that we were able to fit you in and you decided to cancel the appointment. We are happy that you were able to seek care at another office as it was recommended to you! -Team COFSC

Yihua Song: I had an amazing wisdom tooth removal experience here! I had all four of them removed under full sedation, and the recovery process was great without any complications! Would definitely recommend the doctor and her team! Five starts!
Response: Thank You Yihua for your review! we appreciate your comments!

Ryan Glasgow: Awesome staff and the doctor was amazing! Unlike other offices, they took my pain seriously and got me in quickly and my surgery scheduled immediately right after. I highly recommend them.
