Medics USA - Primary and Walk-In Care: what do users think?

Laleh Pedramrad: It is awful urgent care. I had an appointment to see the doctor and I arrived 10 minutes earlier. The place is not crowded at all as you can see in the picture but I need to wait for ever to see the doctor and put me in the patient’s room for ever. OMG I will never ever go back to this place anymore.

Nunu Loedrr: This doctor cursed me out about a mask. He was one of those radical pro mask activist DO NOT RECOMMEND this place the Doctor John Spargo he’s tall Caucasian man that looks like hank hill. He smell like liquor and his eyes were bloodshot red as if he just took a long lunch break at a bar. DO NOT SERVICE THIS ESTABLISHMENT because if he talk to me like that in my face there’s no telling what he saying about you to yours. Good day

Ryan Fleming: Apart from being remarkably rude in general, and for of course long wait times, Medics USA had two other things going against it. First, they failed to process the insurance claim correctly which caused problems. Second, the physician made pretty disparaging remarks about minority populations which was a bit shocking. In general both doctors I saw had horrible bedside manner, but being casually racist is beyond the pale. I would highly recommend that you go anywhere else.

Noah Slosberg: Really awful experience here, believe the other reviews. I scheduled an appointment for 1:30 at 1, and was told I could come in immediately. When I got there the wait was 1 hour!! The front desk told me it would only take 30 minutes, which was a blatant lie because the receptionist in the back said it would be more like an hour!! I currently have Covid and desperately needed a prescription, to which the doctor sarcastically told me that I should go to the ER and get monoclodial antibodies! It was really incredibly rude and an awful experience. I really recommend skipping this place and going literally anywhere else. Why would they tell me to come in if they then clearly were overbooked?? Especially when I knew I had Covid and told them this and they said there they couldn’t help me! Really awful experience. And they were incredibly aggressive about it too and told me I wasn’t wanted when I was just following their instructions!!

Nicole Ward: The make it incredibly difficult to get a prescription refill and have not been accommodating during the pandemic. I have asthma and have needed refills for my asthma medication. During the height of the pandemic, before vaccinations, they expected me to make an appointment for a refill. I was in the office 6 months ago and the doctor wrote me a prescription with zero refills. I now need a refill and they won’t give me one unless I come in for a full physical.

David Pansegrouw: I have been going here for a few years as my PCP. Very satisfied. Members of my family have come here at times also and have always been treated well. Dr. Rashid and his staff are excellent.

Julie McCune: I brought my friend to the R St NW location for a few stitches to her forehead after a fall. The front desk service staff were very helpful and friendly. We were walk-ins without an appointment and only had to wait 45 minutes. However, I don’t feel confident that my friend received the best care. Based on a form we filled out, they said she probably had a mild concussion. But they didn’t check her pupil dilation. They also didn’t ask follow-up questions or check her head for injuries to her scalp or facial bones. My friend got three stitches but was not given any instructions for wound care until we specifically asked for them. The PA who did the stitches told us that we shouldn’t get the wound wet or apply Neosporin for 2 days. After the PA left and the nurse came back, the first thing the nurse did was swab the wound with water, and then recommend that we use Neosporin. It shook our confidence to be given opposite instructions by two different medical staff. I was also a little concerned about the hygienic standards. The office was clean but the PA and nurse both wore gloves and touched many surfaces in the office, even the door knob, and didn’t change the gloves before treating her. Overall, I expected a higher quality of care and clearer communication. In the future, I would try a different clinic rather than go back to this one.

One Medical: what do users think?

Annie Piper: I honestly stayed away from one medical for so long because of the membership fee… but after an emergency medical situation and desperately needing an immediate appointment with a good doctor I caved. And let me tell you it is worth it hands down. I saw my doctor on time and right away—the whole appointment was spent with the doctor from the moment I was called out of the waiting room. And Dr. Gannon was so professional and was able to diagnose correctly what two medical staff from an urgent care had falsely diagnosed. She was very sensitive and caring. It was super easy to stay in contact with her via the app after the appointment as I had questions. She also made sure I got the offsite testing I needed right away when they were going to make me wait three days. I can’t recommend one medical and Dr. Gannon enough.

Ray Wang: Possibly the worst one medical location ever; the front desk staff is rude and act like they are working in the DMV instead of the the doctor’s office; when I was late due to a snowstorm and wanted to reschedule for the same day and also schedule labs they told me there is no availabilities and I need to come back; I opened the app and there were several openings… They have the attitude they just want to get you in and then out of there like a factory.

RoRo Gingy: Dr. Elizabeth Gannon is the BEST DOCTOR! She has been my doctor over 6 years and is Absolute professional, personable, caring and takes every effort to heal whatever is the problem. I recommend her to the fullest.

redbulls828: In the three years I have used him I’ve had a total of four different primaries. It takes several days to a week to get seen and when you do it by a nurse practitioner or DO. They never follow up And honestly could care less about what’s going on with you. They are more concerned with getting you out of the office in order to get the next one in then anything else I kind of feel like a fraud. If you’re looking for a nurse to give you a Z pack prescription when you have a code go ahead and waste your money. But if you’re looking for a doctor to really analyze and help you with some thing don’t waste your time.

Alexa: I am new to the area and wanted to find a PCP before I got sick. I wasn’t excited about the idea of paying for a membership- but it seems to be well worth it. One medical is a great concept! They make it so easy to get care quickly- they have lots of doctors available at several locations- so it is really easy to get a last minute appointment This will be great for when my job starts next week and my free time will be VERY limited. They also are “virtually” accessible 24/7. I am slightly concerned that there are a lot of PAs and NPs (I had to look up what they are) that work there, and I would be most comfortable with an MD. I was able to schedule my intake online with an MD though, so hopefully that will be the case in the future as well. Everyone that I encountered there very kind and attentive!

Matt Prezioso: I started to receive emails noting that I needed to update my credit card for my upcoming membership renewal. I called 3 times and sent a message through the app to ask questions related to the membership and find out who my new provider would be (mine apparently left). Each time I was on hold for more than 30 minutes. I left VMs and never got a response. I still haven’t gotten a response in the app. During this time, their corporate admin group managed to charge my card for the updated membership, even though they sent messages saying they needed updated info. When I finally did get ahold of someone through the corporate group from a number on my receipt when I was charged, they noted that they were sorry, they’re opening new offices with reduced staff, and it may have contributed to my wait. So ultimately, they’re more concerned with growth than current patients.

Reginald Green: When I say the best Doctors office ever I mean it!!!! Great Staff from the Front Desk to the Doctors to the person taking blood yes even the lady with the big Needle is great. Everyone is great and the Access to your Doctor or any of the well Qualified Doctors is unreal. I used the online portal to ask my Doctor a question and she answered back in 15 minutes do you hear me she answered back not a assistance she answered and was able to help with my situation. Did i mention that on my Birthday yes i had a appointment on my birthday they all greeted me with a happy birthday wishes which made my day.

Providence Health System: what do users think?

Crazy Chicc: It’s a shame that this hospital is closed now. I received the best treatment. I Was comfortable with the people who worked there. A very trustworthy hospital.

Tiyende-Tose Nyirenda: The lady at the front Judy/Ruby is rude. Took time off work to come for an appointment that was scheduled by them in advance just to find out that my insurance isn’t accepted there. Waste of time.

MW 7: I always received the best care here when it was a hospital. In the past it felt like my treatment plan was being executed by a team of angels, amoung them Dr. Lawrence, Dr. Mark Johnson, Annie the nurse, and others. They even use to have a copy of a healing or encouraging prayer for you to read or take with you. The gift shop and cafeteria were awesome. This was a first class hospital for 186 years. Now as an Urgent Care Center I received the same great care for a recent health concern. The waiting room was clean and appropriately modified to ensure social distancing. The receptionist, nurse and Nurse Practitioner Beale were professional, compassionate, kind, and thorough. This is a much needed christian-based health care resource for the hardworking, taxpaying American residents of the Northeast quadrant of the District of Columbia. The decision to care for and minister to the health of the people of this community by offering this serve was indeed an ethical and important decision.

for for: This has to be the worst place ever. I’ve literally sat here for 2 hours for absolutely nothing. Nurse and Doctor came and told me to do two completely different things about my injury without even touching or evaluating me. For the work they actually put in here to actually helping people you could hire 4 year olds here. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE WITH YOUR LIFE ESPECIALLY TATIANA

Zuri Jordan: I have been trying to get my health records for months. I have submitted the paperwork and haven’t heard back. When you call they dont pick up. This hospital is trash. And then someone responded to this review, I did what they asked and they never reached out. Im sick.

Eugene Turk: The experience of Dr. Pharrell is otherworldly. He worked with me on a complex hip issue which did respond well to PRP. I was able to avoid surgery and though it still does hurt a but has improved tremendously. Thanks Dr. P!

Lynn Choquette: Dr Melvin was efficient and compassionate. He reviewed my images, offered options and clear explanations. He was unhurried and receptive to all my questions about knee replacement.

roger kaplan: dr. barth was excellent in his review of my finger issue.

Medical Cosmetic Enhancements: what do users think?

Allegra B.: I have had a positive experience with laser hair removal at Medical Cosmetic Enhancements. I found the laser much more uncomfortable that I expected, but the treatment is working very well for me after 3 sessions and it is worth the temporary discomfort. Most of the staff are friendly, and each technician has been thorough, efficient, and patient in the laser process, answering any questions and giving breaks as needed. The office is conveniently located, and they are punctual with their appointments, which is much appreciated.

Eden Siskind: Had a super great experience with Medical Cosmetic Enhancements getting underarm laser. It’s super quick and honestly not that painful. Was able to see results after the second session and the price is amazing. Just finished my sixth session and I’m very happy with the results. Would recommend!

Zeinia McGrath: I come here for laser tattoo removal and am so glad I found this place! my tattoo was so much noticeably lighter even after just the first treatment! I got done with my second treatment today and Adriana is absolutely amazing. My tattoo was a difficult mix of red ink, black ink, and bumpy skin but she was so patient, kind, and super skilled!! I’m so thankful I chose medical cosmetic enhancements, and excited to see so much progress already with this tattoo removal. thank you all SO MUCH ❤️🙏🏽

dsou: I heard about Medical Cosmetic Enhancements online and started my first ever laser therapy treatments there in July 2021. At first, I was very nervous about receiving treatments, but the staff is extremely professional and knowledgeable which put me at ease and allayed some of my concerns. The facility is pristine and is conveniently located in West End part of the District of Columbia. They are also wonderful with last minute accommodations for appointments and really strive to provide client satisfaction. I just finished up my third round of laser treatments in two small areas and have been very satisfied with the results so far. I plan on doing other areas there over the next few months!

May Y: I first went to MCE last year to inquire about skin tightening treatments. Dr Varano listened carefully to my concerns and when I’d finished he said the results I was seeking from the laser treatment would not be satisfactory to me. So he recommended another type of treatment. He advised purchasing a series in order to see the best results. Like all treatments out there, you’re hopeful yet skeptical. I took a chance and it was undeniably worth every bit if my money and time. The results were significantly noticeable. I use the word significant because after my 4th session, my husband noticed with an appreciative eye. I returned for another series of the same treatment but for a new area of the body. 4 sessions later I had impressive results again. The office and treatment rooms are extremely clean. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and I always look forward to a visit. I highly recommend this office for a variety of services!

Victoria Pena: Very comfortable environment. Not from DC so was looking for a place that was in my price range and found medical cosmetic. They scheduled me right away and had amazing service. Would recommend for laser hair removal!

Rosa Alejandra Hernández Gómez: I did some sessions of hair laser and in the beginning when I started to go, three months ago, I saw good results and the staff was professional and friendly. During my last 2 sessions I stopped seeing results and decided to cancel the sessions. I tried to explain to the girl in the phone and she was super rude, she basically hung up to me.

Christina S: I received 6 treatments for laser hair removal and was pleased with the process and service I received. Everyone I interacted with was pleasant and professional and I was pleased with the measures put in place to reduce exposure to covid.

The Retina Group of Washington: what do users think?

princess abudabah: The office staff are friendly and typically greet you by name as you enter the door. I miss Dr. Spellman’s personal touch though. Even though he was always busy he took time to speak with you and remember things about you. Since he is retired I now see Dr. Venkat. I have no complaints about the excellent service she provided. I do wish she were more personable. After waiting for over 45 mins for the office visit, her actual examination felt rushed and perfunctory.

roderick johnson: The assistants were helpful and courteous. The time at the clinic has improved from 3 hours down to an hour and a half. Superior service would be in and out in one hour.

Jacqueline Hancock: My experiences here are truly outstanding. Dr. Sonya is the best ever. Staff is constantly cleaning to keep clients safe. Thanks for caring.

Xenon Booth: The wait is always quite long, but everyone is very friendly. Dr. Bryant is amazing and as well as all the nurses.

Dab B: The staff was very personable and professional. Dr. Bryant was very patient explaining the issues and provided options as necessary. Very professional.

Richard Greene: An overall good experience. The reviews indicating that there is a wait time are true. I had a 2pm appointment and did not leave until 4pm. That said they have a lot of patients, which means there’s a slight delay in appointment times. That aside I felt the staff was professional, courteous, and had a good bed side manner as they explained everything they were doing and answered all my questions. The doctor (can’t recall her name at the moment) was also good and gave me confidence that she knew what she was doing, which is what you want when someone is messing around with your eyes!

Laura Scharfenberg: I am uncertain how to rate my visit today. I had to leave the office after waiting for approximately two hours. When I asked when I might expect to be seen, the receptionist said it may still be another 30-45 minutes and that when coming in for an appointment, I should plan on allowing 3-4 hours. I have high regard for Dr. Spellman, and appreciate his willingness to be thorough with his patients as well as the fact that he has a number of emergency patients each day. However, I do not appreciate spending 3-4 hours in the office, the vast majority of which is in the waiting room. There must be a better system. That said, his staff is very considerate and professional and I have great respect and confidence in everyone I have encountered in the office. I am considering making a follow up appt with his colleague for whom I was told the time in the waiting room is not nearly as long.

Brian Niemiec: Had a really great experience. They were able to see me the same day, which was awesome. Dr Huang did a thorough exam and helped me understand what was happening. It alleviated my fears. I would highly recommend Dr Huang at RGW.

F Slacum: Great customer service from the start! Thank you Dr. Bryant! And thanks to your entire team!!

Comprehensive Primary Care: what do users think?

Kelsey Harding: I moved to the district a few years ago and CPC was the first, and only, primary care office I tried. Since I started I love going there. I’ve never had to wait long for an appointment or for the doctor. The front office staff and nursing staff are all very nice and make the appointments easy. My doctor always takes the time to answer my questions and make sure I’m doing okay. The telehealth options are also great.

Debra Brown: What a great team! I found this group when I looked for a primary care doctor it was a trial with the intentions of trying seldom. Since I have been with this group I can not imagine going anywhere else. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for confidence in their doctor for proper health care. Thank you!

Jonathan Alfuth: Have had a great experience after a couple of visits. I appreciate how quickly they are able to get you in to see a doctor, as well as the mix of in-person and telehealth options depending on the situation.

James Stevenson: I had a great experience. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. A great place for checkups and GP visits

Sarah Morgan: I always have a good experience - scheduling is easy. Staff are kind. I have interacted with multiple doctors at the U Street location, and all have been great. Added bonus - I almost never have trouble finding parking.

Elizabeth Kirby: Everyone here is so kind. They really listen and want to help. Plus, I was able to get an appointment scheduled quickly and had no wait time when I arrived. I feel so lucky to have found such great professionals!

Olga Akulenko: Love my Dr. Morcom at Comprehensive Primary Care. She is all you want your doctor be - professional and personal, caring and responsive. She takes time to listen, examine and discuss various approaches to diagnostics and treatment. Outside of in-person visits, Dr. Morcom is great about responding to the questions though the online portal messenger and following up with a phone calls from her and staff. I am grateful and happy to be her patient. 100% recommended!

National Center for Weight and Wellness: what do users think?

Anna S: I have had the great pleasure of being a patient of Dr. Kahan for a number of years. Working with Dr. Kahan and his team has been a life-changing experience. They are by far the most caring group of health professionals I have worked with. Long term weight loss is tough and can be very depressing; Dr. Kahan remains positive when I may not be, and he puts weight loss ups and downs into perspective. Most importantly, he makes it clear he will never give up trying different approaches until one is found that works. I appreciate that he advocates a holistic approach to health care, recognizing that weight loss is both a mental and physical process. The team he has put together has diverse areas of expertise and there are a wide variety of supports in place--from individual to group work—to help. In all my years I have never met a doctor who is as compassionate and concerned. He gives 200% to help ensure your success.

marc machlin: I have great respect for the work of Dr. Kahan and his entire staff. They are extremely supportive and knowledgeable. With their advice and support, I have lost a substantial amount of weight and have reduced my blood pressure significantly. I am having success and I feel energized. I am extremely grateful to the entire team for their guidance and support.

Erica Rothman: Dr. Kahan has not only been a great doctor to me the past few years, he has really become a friend that I look forward to catching up with. He is always positive and keeps things in perspective. When I moved from DC he made it clear that he would still always be around for me if I needed anything. We have had phone appointments to keep me on track and they have been really helpful. I cannot say enough good things about him!

Bernie Robinson: The female and male professionals who staff the National Center for Weight and Wellness genuinely care about those of us who reach out to them for advice, counsel and timely assistance. Our prospects for achieving our goals are totally within our reach and are our responsibility. The short and longer term benefits of working with the men and women of NCWW is access to their banks of knowledge, practical experience and their flexible willingness to custom tailor a program that works best for each of us !!! Bernie Robinson May 23, 2015

K Santora: I have had a terrific experience at the National Center for Weight and Wellness. I am a long-time patient and find the doctors and staff to be professional, competent and caring. They care about me as an individual and have made a difference in my life and my approach to health. I am ever grateful.

Allcare Family Medicine And Primary Care: what do users think?

JL: Earlier today I made an appointment to see a physician because I was not feeling well. When I made my appointment I noted my symptoms as loss of appetite and discoloration on my tongue. When I arrived at the office the young lady at the front desk was extrude and short with me. When I noted this her attitude changed and she stated that she did not see what her height had to do with anything. She then proceeded to ask me to complete a form. She took one look at the form and told me that I would need to see the doctor via televisit. When I asked her why she stated that because I had a headache and abdominal pain coupled with the loss of taste that I could not see the doctor. She wanted me to go outside in the cold and speak to a doctor in the middle of the street. This was my second poor experience at this facility.

Jordan Dias: I went early hoping to get an emergency rapid covid test and they had a sign on the door telling me to go to 1050 K st NW for testing. I go and the concierge at the new location and she tells me they’re not doing testing in the building at all. I call ARC 4 times and they never picked up. I had to go to 3 different clinics in total and even though I came early to District Urgent Care there is a very long line. If there are location changes, please make sure the staff at the different building are made aware of this so that patients are not crowded waiting outside one singular testing site.

Liam Mulligan: I have been going here for nearly a year for regular appointments and always receive great care. Emily Johnson is a fantastic medical professional who always makes me feel at ease and thoroughly explains all my options and any procedures. She has a great bedside manner.

Chengyan Zhang: Worst medical care experience ever. I scheduled an in-person appointment for checking a swollen tonsils. Was told that this could not be in-person because it is upper respiratory and concerns for COVID. I offered to provide negative COVID test result from the day before, but was told it didn’t matter and they can only see me virtually. I told them the physician would not be able to see my tonsils clearly, and this would be meaningless, but they still would not see me in person. Fine. I was too painful and accepted the virtual appointment. The physician of my appointment was late for half and hour, and a practitioner nursed showed up and told me the physician of my appointment was running late and could not see me….. the appointment was very brief; the NP told me she cannot diagnose because she couldn’t see my tonsils- exactly what I told them when I insisted a virtual visit would not work. I received the bill today. For this experience, they charged me $475?!?!?! With insurance, I still need to pay half of that. Seriously?! For an appointment that the physician was late and didn’t even show up I’m charged $475. What kind of health care is this? How is this not fraud? I highly suggest you avoid this place at all cost. I will never come back again and will tell everyone I know to avoid this place.

Katie Kohn: I highly recommend Dr. Talavari from AllCare. He is the first doctor that I have had in my 38 years of life that I feel has really listened to me and wants to help. Appointments are easy to get and they are almost always on time. Blood draws are a breeze. I will never go anywhere else for primary care.

Shay Collins: Not a complaint with this location, but rather with Allcare generally. I had a Telehealth appointment with one of the doctors at this location yesterday and, based on my symptoms, he ordered testing for me at Allcare’s K St NW location. I get there and fill out their text prompt to let them know I’m there and no one comes out to get me like the website said they would. I tried the door and it was locked. I then called Allcare and they said that the location had closed. When I pointed out that one of their own doctors had told me to go there one day prior, the person on the phone said, “we just found out it closed today, we just found out it closed two hours ago.” No sign on the door, no contact to patients to let them know the location had closed. Just left me—while I am sick enough to seek urgent care—to go to their location to only then, and only because I called, find out they had closed their doors that day. I asked the person on the phone if they could order my tests to be done somewhere elsewhere in DC (since their other locations were in Maryland and Virginia) and she told me they could only order tests to their own locations. Wasting a ton of time and money driving around trying to get the tests they ordered because they apparently closed shop with no heads up to any of their staff and didn’t even bother to put up a sign in their storefront. Shameful.

Savannah Klein: Doctor YT was not sufficient, just did some blood tests and told me he couldn’t figure out what was wrong, over several visits. Really not knowledgeable. Allcare charged me hundreds of dollars for 10 minute visits and somehow found ways to both mess up the insurance handoff and improperly bill me. Do not recommend at all.

GW Immediate and Primary Care: Cleveland Park: what do users think?

Orielena Lopez- Williams: I have been going to this urgent care for 5 years now. The doctor that saw me was very nice and had a great bed side manner but every time I have to refill my prescription is a nightmare. I followed the steps they have to call or use the app or whatever the protocol is and it never gets refill. I called a month ahead an nothing gets done. When I call today the receptionist told me that I have to go in, pay for a visit and then they will refill my prescription. I am sitting here without medication for my diabetes management... this is just unacceptable. The level of stress and anxiety that refilling a prescription causes me increase my blood sugar levels tremendously. I have been experiencing panic attacks and everything. This is wrong.

Amy Friedman: Received courteously and efficiently. I was able to see the nurse practitioner withon five minutes of arrival. Both the tech and the N.P. were highly competent. The N.P. was able to identify and provide a solution for my symptoms. I am very happy with the experience and highly reommend this urgent care facility.

Megan Gregory: I’m going to start with a summary of this experience - The nurse practitioner I saw here displayed blatant incompetence to a point that I had to actually insist on X-rays to confirm that I had pneumonia. It was the most ridiculous interaction I’ve ever had with a medical professional. ** I went in with shortness of breath, extremely congested and coughing up dark yellow mucus. I was asked about allergies, I have none. She had me do a breathing treatment anyways and asked if I felt any better, I felt no different. She tried to tell me to get over the counter meds for allergies and send me on my way… Not only did the nurse practitioner not want to get x-rays done of my chest, but when I insisted she basically was like well I guess we can do that. After getting the X-rays the nurse practitioner told me she thought my scans looked clear but had to send them out, and continued to push her over the counter allergy meds. The X-ray tech actually pointed out where she saw signs of infection in my lower left lung prior to the practitioner stating she thought my scans were clear. The nurse practitioner called me 20 mins later to tell me I had pneumonia and I am “such a good advocate for myself”.

Renée Guerrero Pozos: The experience is horrible. I came today with a lot of pain on my throat and my ear. I need medicine soon. They kept me waiting for half an hour after the visit - just to tell me that they didn’t know why was I in such pain and that they need 3 days to let me know what’s wrong with me. Also, during the visit, they didn’t asked for any other of my symptoms. I just kept talking by myself because the woman there wasn’t even paying attention to what was I saying. Such a terrible experience. Do not come here if you’re feeling sick and you need help soon - they will keep you waiting just like me, that I cannot even stand my ear pain and I have to wait days to know what do I have and what do I need to do to feel better.

Ivelisse Cruz: This clinic rarely answers phone calls. On three separate days I tried to call for an appointment. On hold for 20 minutes each time, then switched over to the clinic downtown with no notice that I was being transferred to a different facility. Doctors appear careless. Came in twice for treatment. Two different prescriptions, neither worked. Had to go elsewhere for effective treatment. Last time in clinic for something different. No receptionist. Filled out information on a sheet of paper and they still attended to the person who came after me first. Since changing hands to GW, service has gotten worse. If I could give it zero stars, I would.

Solomon Alemu: I have never experienced such rude and rough conversation from the front desk, the most unprofessional and poor customer service in DC. GW should close this facility for the sake of GW itself.I had to give a star b/c there is no zero star.

Manik Hinchey: I’ve been on hold for TWENTY NINE minutes just to ask if they do walk-in Covid PCR tests, and how late they are open to get the test. Previously had experience with the doctors there, who were very nice, but impossible to reach by phone, and with enormously long wait times, so I see some things haven’t changed. Giving up now because if I’m on hold for this long just to ask a simple question, it makes me think maybe I should go somewhere else to get a five minute test.

GW Immediate & Primary Care - McPherson Square: what do users think?

Ashlee Winters: Do not recommend. Wish I saw all the reviews before making an appointment but I was desperate. Went in for a strep test on 4/29. Was told I would have the results in 24 hours. Called 24 hours later and was told the doctor gave inaccurate information, that it would be four days. Also took a Covid test and was given inaccurate information about results time. What is most problematic is the chart information that was typed up after my visit with completely false information such as the questions asked to me as the patient and the conversations that were had. They also completely lost my strep test which was the reason I came in in the first place.

Tony G: Awful experience. The Dr and nurse argued for about 5 minutes outside the treatment room. I heard it clearly and it was about each one telling the other on how to handle their job. The treatment I received was minimal and the prescription was under estimated. Also to note, the Dr mentioned my tonsils were swollen, however I mentioned I had the removed 42 years ago and her response was horrifying. I recommend somewhere else for immediate/urgent care. And GW really needs to clean up the practice.

Charles Stanley: Went in an hour before closing (7pm). The receptionist was sure to tell me that they were “almost closed” and wanted to know exactly what I wanted treatment for. Then coincidentally her computer wasnt working and was unable to register me to be seen. After 2 attempts to “restart” she sent me away to another location further away. Not friendly nor professional. Definitely won’t be back.

Jeremy McLane: I saw Dr. Joel Willis after reading numerous reviews of how good his care and attention to patients was, yet was unfortunately very disappointed. While his office provided an referral to physical therapy, the nurse interrupted me multiple times and rushed me through explaining why I was there. Additionally, Dr. Willis spent no more than 5 minutes with me before promptly leaving, offering very little medical advice beyond that they would refer me out for PT, and if I wanted more help from him, I should make a follow-up appt with his office >1 month later. For the cost that was billed to my insurance, it felt like a complete waste of time.

Sivan Kromelian: I don’t think it’s possible to be less effective than the way these people operate. After sending us to all three locations around the city, we were finally told that in order to be seen at these so called walk-in locations, we need to line up outside the clinic an hour prior to the beginning of the testing to get a number. Once the testing starts, no more people can be admitted to be tested.

District Dental Solutions of Washington DC: what do users think?

Rohan Dalvi: I have been going to Dr. Arroyo for over 7 years now and I am very happy with my decisions. The staff is professional, the office is clean, and my dental care is absolutely top-notch. I have recommended this practice to multiple friends and plan to remain a loyal customer for many years to come.

Brent Troy David: It is not often you can have a great experience at a dentist office, but I am here to tell you if it’s going to happen, it will happen at District Dental Solutions. Drs. Arroyo & Arroyo (along with their amazing staff), are exceptionally caring and compassionate! They are non-judgmental and have definitely gone out their way to help me with my extensive dental issues, most especially caused by months of chemotherapy to overcome Stage 4 Lymphoma, which almost killed me. After years of not being able to afford proper care, they are doing everything possible for me to address my dental woes. I am truly grateful for their amazing service, compassion, professionalism, and integrity.

Greg Cooke: This is a terrific dental practice. Excellent care, friendly staff. Drs John and Jeremy are thoughtful and skilled as are the hygienists. The administrators are super helpful with insurance paperwork. I can’t imagine going anywhere else for my dental care.

Yelena Skalinskaya: Dr. Jeremy - what an amazing dentist … I transferred here from another practice and have been very happy with my choice! I came in with butchered veneers which Dr. Jeremy fixed up as much as he could, but they were still meh… I kept nagging and nagging about new veneers, but Dr. Jeremy wouldn’t budge - we had to move my teeth first or it wouldn’t look the way I wanted, which we did (thanks Invisalign). I did have major PTSD from my first experience with veneers, but the temp veneers looked so great - I was willing to do whatever. I didn’t stop torturing Dr. Jeremy though, one of the veneers didn’t fit quite right and we had to redo it - but that was quick and easy (for me at least 😅). Also, full disclosure, I take naps at my cleaning sessions - so relaxing! The hygienist literally has to hook my cheek and move my head as I doze off 😂 There’s a parking garage right next to the building - get in before 8:30am and you get a discounted rate 🙌 Finally, they’re in the process of designing a whole new office - I’m sure the space will be hot - can’t wait to see it!

Angie Acevedo: Grateful to be in good hands for all my dental needs…. Loyal client for over fifteen years..Everyone is extra special from admin, techs, and doc’s. Thank you everyone on the team.

Jane Quenk: I have been going to District Dental since I moved to Washington DC in 1989. I have always experienced patient-oriented service with care and listening to my concerns. I highly recommend this practice.

Kim Borbely: Each and every staff member is wonderful with our kiddos. They make X-rays for the kids comfortable. Our whole family are patients.

Lynae Butler: I really enjoy coming to District Dental every time! From the minute you walk through the door, you are treated like family. Everyone is very nice, welcoming and friendly. They are very cleanly and the office is kept in wonderful condition. Carmen does my cleanings and she is very thorough and informative. She lets me know how I can take better care of my teeth and truly takes interest in my well-being. Dr. Jeremi is so nice as well. He makes sure to answer all questions and has a wonderful manner with his patients. I would recommend everyone to come to District Dental Solutions.

Jamison Moore: Great practice, lovely people, and easy to work with. No run around with billing, no surprises, and everyone is smart and nice. I have no dental drama, but my wife, who absolutely hates all things dental loves this practice. There is a parking lot under the office, was $17 for over an hour, so pretty normal for the neighborhood.

MedStar Health: Urgent Care at Adams Morgan: what do users think?

Monique Monique: This is hands down, the best urgent care I’ve ever been to. Last time I came and was seen in 30 min. This time I waited a LOT longer however the staff are just so personable and it’s like they really care! Melony Allen is on of the staff at the front desk. She answered all of my questions with such empathy and called me on two separate occasions to keep me updated about how long ir would take me to be seen. I’m all taken care of now. Thank you MedStar

Anna Mortara: I am very disappointed at the care I found last time. I was not seen by a doctor and was told by the nurse that they would ask for a urine culture. I waited patiently for it to find out they never really asked for it. Instead, they performed an in-house exam that is not well reported in the 10-pages long documentation I got when I left the center. I refused a culture exam with my doctor afterwards as I thought they had asked for it. As a side note, the technician who applied the antibiotics injection I had was lovely, super humane, well trained and nice talking to.

Salim Fayeq: Staff is all around pleasant and friendly but the patient experience was really subpar at best. My meeting with the actual clinician herself felt rushed and far too short in length. I barely could ask the questions I felt I should ask and it all around seemed like I was just seen for the sake of being seen, not for the betterment of my health issue at hand. I did not feel the clinician cared about my concerns and just wanted to get me out as soon as possible. Terrible health system in this county; and this visit was a testament of it.

Miss Elena: Good experience at this location. Appointment was set for 11:30. Arrived and filled out paperwork. 20 minute wait to be taken back to exam room. Waited another 20 minutes until doctor came. Very nice Doc diagnosed my illness and wrote out a prescription. I was out the door within an hour of arrival. Highly recommend.

Maham Khan: Terrible experience. I called to find out if they do medical clearance for schools/colleges. The man on the phone said they do. I walked in the same day and they confirmed that they do this, I showed them my college forms and the receptionist and the NP both said it can be done. They did my TB test and told me to return 48 hours later for the physical examination. I have returned 2 days later, only to be told that they in fact do NOT do physical forms for school/college with no explanation except ‘we don’t do this’ repeatedly being said to me. Incompetent and rude clinic and staff. One of the girls at the front desk was the rudest woman I have met in a long time. I have now wasted 2 days and am incredibly close to my deadline for medical clearance. DO NOT COME HERE. And now as I sit here waiting for my TB result to be read I can hear the two receptionists talking about me. One of them is saying I’m lying and I was probably never told that my physical will be done. And that I’m back just to make up a story and try again :)

Sharlie Goodson: I waited over an hour in the waiting room before being seen even though I had an appointment. Once I got back, the nurse informed me that their X-ray tech left early so they could not treat me fully. No one informed me of this when I checked in even though I had clearly stated a wrist injury on my intake form. Once I was in the patient room, I waited another 30 minutes to be seen by a doctor and get my X-ray order to take to a different one of their locations 30 minutes away. This is by far the worst experience I’ve ever had at an urgent care and/or doctor’s office. I will be staying away from medstar facilities from here on out.

Jane Sheehan: Went for covid test appointment: it took over 2 hours. I was swabbed after waiting 45 mins and the paperwork they showed me said they had my results 10 mins later. But they have a rule that you must see a doctor when you get your results - probably to enable more billing). I asked to leave and have my results emailed (i didnt need to see a doctor/ wasn’t very sick, just needed results)- not allowed. I complained of the long wait and again said i dont need to see a doctor and have been here 2 hours and one nasty nurse who spoke to me disdainfully several times told me they were just busy, I had to wait my turn. But the reason they were busy is the requirement to meet with the doctor. The doctor spent 5 seconds with me, gave me paperwork and that was it. Overall staff was unpleasant and the delay seemed to be of their own making. I would never go here again.

Norma Canedo: The receptionist staff and nurses were wonderful. I just had a very bad experience with the young doctor whose last name starts with an A. As part of my visit, I asked for a pregnancy test. In sharing the results, he joyfully congratulated me for not being pregnant, without first asking me what I wanted the results to be. He was very happy and when he asked if that is what I wanted, I said no. My husband and I have been trying for months now. This response was very cold and unprofessional, as he does not know my medical history. Later, he kept berating me on a private medical decision I have made. He kept insisting, asking me about my decision. It was very accusatory and overall a negative conversation. Instead of having a normal mature conversation, I felt like I was being insulted by someone who does not know me at all. This was my favorite medical care center, but this completely changed my mind. I had to tell him he was making me uncomfortable and that the conversation was uncomfortable. It was a strange and awful experience. I pray he will realize that he should not let his personal views and unprofessional attitude get in the way of his serving his patients. I was completely disappointed.

DC Health and Wellness Center: what do users think?

Omololu Majekodunmi: My experience at DC Health and Wellness Center has been excellent. I have been a patient for about three years and I have had the chance to see Jason Beverly, NP. Jason is always punctual with appointments. His vast medical knowledge is unsurpassed by any other healthcare professional I have ever had. My favorite part about our appointments is that he sits me down and uses words and sentences I can understand. If you are looking for a local healthcare provider that accepts state plans, I HIGHLY recommend the DC Health and Wellness Center!

Russ Russell: The most amazing public or private health service I have ever experienced. Extremely knowledgeable, friendly and compassionate staff. Also one of the cleanest and most accommodating govt facilities I have ever visited. Visit gave buddy and I immediate treatment and comfort. Thanks so much for the services provided. Congress and DC must continue to fund facilities such as this especially in the current environment of continuous virus outbreaks such as COVID, monkeypox, meningitis, STI’s, etc. Thanks again DC dept of health. I will be researching the govt reps that support public health and voting down ballot on that issue.

Deborah Johnson: My grandson tested positive for TB via blood test even though his chest xray was negative. He is currently under treatment for Latent TB - no symptoms but the germ is in his blood. Without treatment it could become active TB. The doctors and staff have been overly friendly and helpful as well as explaining the diagnosis and treatment from start to finish as they knew I was freaking out. Very very happy this is the office handling his treatment.

Donathan James: Had an appointment this morning at 10am, the actually got me started at 9:55. Everyone was super nice: The lady at the front desk, the nurse who took my blood pressure and temperature (Tanekia, I think), the supervisor who did my intake (Jason), and the nurse who took my blood. I was out of there at 10:45. No complaints!

Johnny Dollar: The outside of the building is a bit ruff but once inside of the office , the staff is really nice and fast. First results are preliminary in before you even leave and you get the rest relatively fast over a online portal. By accident the bill form the lab was send to my house instead of DC.gov which I thought I had to pay to my surprise , but after my initial review mentioning the bill they called me to apologize for the mistake and took care of it , hence the response on my review below

J P: Had a telehealth appt scheduled same day. It was super easy and straight forward and Dawn was so nice and helped me feel comfortable and open. Thank you

Khamise Abdul-Jabbar: Ryan was polite and curteous! Provider Agnus is knowledgeable and gentle, she doesnt mi d answering questions and she is very encouraging. Jason (with the locs) ia always a breath of fresh air he is prefessional and non-judgemental. I always have a good experience.

Columbia Fertility Associates: what do users think?

L H: It was my husband and I first visit with Dr. Sacks and we felt so comfortable. He was very knowledgeable, patient and thorough. He provided us with very detailed options to help us make decisions on best next steps. We appreciated him very much.

Maudess Fulton: Dr. Sacks is fantastic! He is knowledgeable and and has the best bedside manner in the business. He has a way of making you feel like everything will be okay and that is so necessary in area of fertility treatment.

Mommy Johnson: Just so no one has my experience take note ONLY THE DC OFFICE IS OPEN. THE N. VA AND BETHESDA OFFICES ARE CLOSED AND THERE IS NO INFORMATION ONLINE ABOUT IT. DO NOT BOOK IF DC IS NOT A REALISTIC OFFICE FOR YOU. Dr. Sacks is a 5 star doctor, but the office staff is less than. Rude, and after setting a follow up appointment then needing to cancel I was told my second appointment was never put on the books. I had to cancel because of the closed offices. Very frustrating.

Michele Dobiecki: Dr. Sacks is an angel! Incredible doctor with incredible bed side manner. He’s been a shining light throughout my journey!

Shino Y: Dr. Butler is very nice. But I have had some communication issues with staff working there throughout. You can barely reach out to them by phone and email even if we are dealing with very time sensitive matter. I several times left messages to call me back, but I have never received any call back. It happened to me continuously. I saw other patients had the exact same complain as mine while I was visiting their office. They have some internal organizational and structural issues.

Washington Cancer Institute: what do users think?

Obianuju Efobi: The nurses are very nice but the pharmacy takes so much time to get the infusion bag ready. You need to include 3hrs in addition to infusion time.

Larry Howard: Some of the finest clinicians and nurses in the country. Works with in house and remote specialists from around the country to tailor care for the individual patient. Inpatient facility shows it’s age but the chemotherapy ward has attracted and maintains a staff second to none. When your oncologist calls you on the weekend to discuss your latest test results, you know it’s not just a job and you aren’t just a number. Complaints? Slow WiFi and inpatient food is not the best. Billing never seems to sort out secondary insurance until the second try.

M Reaves: Old facility that I hope I never have to visit as a patient. Typical big city hospital that deals more with volume than high quality care. Doctors have too many patients to efficiently manage.

Kaizo Health - Fort Washington Chiropractor: what do users think?

Aristides Pereira: The best and most effective chiropractor practice I have had the pleasure to visit. I suffered from chronic lower-back pain since 2003. I visited countless practices in two different continents, even tried acupuncture. Nothing really worked on the long run. At Kaizo Health in Fort Washington, they tackled my problem from a completely different perspective by merging physical therapy exercises to body manipulation. Now, after three months, I am pain free and getting my discharge from treatment. Their team of therapists are wonderful and made my journey to being pain free easier to reach. I recommend their services without any reservation.

J. Karla B: Never imagined that therapy sessions would be so much fun. Thanks to the team of Dr. Berch Fritz who has helped me manage my pains through the routines and other techniques they have provided me. Apart from the treatment they offer is the enjoyable environment that contributes to the healing process of their patients. Kudos to the entire team especially to the chiropractic assistants for their patience, care and thorough monitoring that helped me improve in every step of the way. Kaizo Health Fort Washington is definitely worth a try.

Shani Sutton: Staff is friendly and really care about their patients. It was my first time and everyone made me feel at ease. The Dr. was very detailed and explained everything that he would be doing to my understanding. I was comfortable and I have had some relief with my lower back from the first visit.

SALAI LAUAMA: I had an amazing visit today. The staff are friendly and exceptional. Plus, the place is very spacious and neat. The doctor took his time to talk and see what I needed to work on. I really recommend this place to anyone.

Laverne Barbour: What can I say about this staff? They are the bomb.com. Friendly, fun, attentive and always on time. I am a returning customer from years back, so this alone explains itself. I would refer this office over and over again. Thank you team KAIZO for a job well done. I want to say a special thanks to Dr. Berch and Dr. Kevin.

LaShaune Lee: I had an AMAZING experience with the doctors and chiropractic assistants at Kaizo Health! From the first time I met Dr. Sunyak and Dr. Fritz, I felt like I would be helped with my issues and I really was given the best care possible. The chiropractic team that assisted me with my recovery - Paris Richardson, Shayla Gray, and Chavon Sturdivant were top notch! They were very funny, kind, and thoughtful. They really addressed my every need and helped me tremendously. I always looked forward to my visits because I knew I could count on great music, an energetic vibe, and really professional ladies who wanted to see me get better. We laughed while we worked. I always had a burst of positive energy when I left Kaizo because of this fantastic team! Dr. Fritz is the absolute best! I always felt heard when I met with him. We shared so many laughs. He made me feel comfortable. He was very attentive and an overall sweet guy! I highly recommend Kaizo Health - Fort Washington!!!!

Washington Open MRI: what do users think?

Colleen Canter: If you are claustrophobic, this is the place to go!!! Dawn checked me in and was very pleasant and professional. Bitu, my MRI technician was great!! She made me feel relaxed and comfortable throughout the entire procedure. I will definitely keep them in mind for future use and will tell all of my family and friends about them.

C Corson: I was very pleased with my experience at Washington Open MRI in Oxon Hill. Everything from scheduling the appointment to having the MRI done was done professionally and with ease. Jay made the check-in and check-out process a breeze. I was very anxious when I got there but the MRI Technologist, Renex, was incredibly patience with me and allowed me the time I needed to feel comfortable. I would highly recommend this office to anyone.

AG 678: The staff was super helpful and very accommodating. The receptionist was friendly as was the lab tech, and they both went out of their way to stay later and help us out. The lab tech was also very thorough with the imaging and kept checking on my dad in between. I would definitely recommend this place.

ray toler: The staff at Oxon Hill were great they were very professional and polite this was my 6th attempt at a mri The upright machine was a breeze so easy and the staff explained everything I would recommend it to anyone who needs to get a MRI . I drove 6 hours and would go back tomorrow . If you have any fears let me assure this is so easy and fast, give them a call and you won’t be disappointed.

Bob Wood: I am being treated for a neck problem and could not be sure, due to what turned out to be five damaged discs, one severely, and pretty serious discomfort when lying flat on my back, that I could hold that position long enough under a regular MRI to complete the procedure. I actually did try to undergo one but had to stop it due to a neck cramp before the machinery actually started. Washington Open MRI allowing me to be in a seated position during their procedure solved the problem, along with the staff taking the time to make certain I was as comfortable as possible. Although my spine doctor had been concerned about the image quality an open MRI would produce, just as advertised, it was excellent and resulted in letting me move forward with procedures that have greatly reduced my neck pain.

T ToriD: First I just want to say how polite and kind this reception is when you call in. I’ve had the same lady twice truly exceptional warm and went out of her way to reschedule me after I mixed up my appointments, that day just a few hours later - now I gotta sit on oxon Hill durin rush hour, but with a smile on my face, and joy all over this receptionist that took my call. These are the people we need to clone but that’s just creepy

Capital Oral & Facial Surgery Center: what do users think?

Brianna Brite: I recently got my wisdom teeth extracted with Capital Oral & Facial Surgery and had a great experience form start to finish. The front desk staff is extremely attentive and made scheduling, checking in and all payment related situations easy. The surgical assistant and surgeon herself are very friendly and made me feel comfortable by answering all of my questions and preparing me well before during and after surgery. Would absolutely recommend!

Stephanie Gray: This was my first experience with Capital Oral & Facial Surgery Center. Dr Rostami and her staff were incredibly professional, patient and provided outstanding care. I didn’t feel rushed and was provided ample time for questions and reassurance. They managed my expectations and provided a comforting experience. I highly recommend the practice.

Jennifer Umanzor: I am a skeptic of reviews in general but I believed the words of many before me on this review page when I was told my impacted lower wisdom teeth needed to be removed. I wanted something fast, easy, and as pain free as it could come. I’m still in disbelief that I got all three of those things with my leap of faith at Capital Oral. I saw the doctor, had my teeth removed the following week, was OOO the day of the surgery and, out of necessity, was instructing a fitness class the following day. Cannot possibly tell you how seamless it all was. If you’re antsy about dentists/oral care, come here and be prepared to be taken care of. (Also from reception to the hygienists/helpers/nurses/doctor, everyone was absolutely lovely!!!!!)

Drea Taylor: Hey this place had me come in for two or three appointments and the first appointment I told them I was a seizure patient they did not call my neurologist they did not do anything they just tried to give me Tylenol which doesn’t really do anything but make you sleep so I asked him if they can call a neurologist and they said no it would take up to three days which I think should have been done before they start performing The procedure &because I did not want Tylenol they refuse me as a patient but started my procedure numb me stuck me with Needles about 22 times . Me personally I don’t think it was about medication because after all these disagreements I told the doctor that I will take the Tylenol and he still would not do the procedure after numbing me with a needle 22 times I really think this was about me telling him he does not understand me because he is foreign I didn’t mean to be racist at all I just can’t communicate with foreigners very well so they left me numb without any surgery they called the police because I refuse to leave without service because it was just a simple disagreement The police came and I was not arrested The pictures are attached of my 4 wisdom teeth being stuck under my gums they did not try to put me to sleep or anything just numbing injection in my gums and oralgel on my gums & tried to send me home w Tylenol

Lucy Jackson: I had a very bad experience here. Right from the start Dr. Rostami did not take my concerns regarding my procedure seriously; I did NOT feel like safety and individualized care were her first priorities as I might have hoped especially from such a highly rated surgeon and practice. Over the course of several appointments, the office was increasingly not-accommodating and rude-- they were not willing to fit us into their schedule despite an emergency situation, and we continued to receive false information and diagnosis from Dr. Rostami, leading us needing to take our business elsewhere. Additionally, the office was not cleanly or well kept and we noticed dirt in one of the operating rooms. I highly recommend avoiding this practice for any dental//oral surgery needs you may have.

Yihua Song: I had an amazing wisdom tooth removal experience here! I had all four of them removed under full sedation, and the recovery process was great without any complications! Would definitely recommend the doctor and her team! Five starts!

Ryan Glasgow: Awesome staff and the doctor was amazing! Unlike other offices, they took my pain seriously and got me in quickly and my surgery scheduled immediately right after. I highly recommend them.
