    Erin Harkins: The folks at this UPS Store were beyond helpful with a quick turnaround print project I needed for work. They went above and beyond to walk me through the process and get it done much faster than I expected. I will be returning the next time I have a print project- hopefully with a bit more lead time and less stress on my part!

    Paris C: I usually only drop off with prepaid labels, so can only attest to limited services. However, this location like others in DC will charge you $3 per strip of tape to close an open package, or suggest you purchase a full roll of packing tape at an inflated price. Also, their holiday hours are not reflected online, and I am currently waiting with other patrons for them to open, which is pretty inconvenient. Their "temporary hours" sign also doesn't give a duration, so good luck guessing for how long these are applicable. M-F: 9:00 - 6:00 Sat: 10:00 - 4:00 Sun: Closed

    Ido Simyoni: Got to the ups store just before they closed. I had a label already that I needed to print and the cashier (G......) told me She can’t print it for me and that I have to use the shared computer in the corner of the store and print it (minimum of $3 for being online + extra for printing + extra charge per minute+ I had to log in to my gmail account+ nothing to sanitize the keyboard or surface). I asked again, are you sure you can’t help me print it and she said “no and I have to close soon”. I’ve been using the ups stores services twice a week in more than 5 states for the last 11 months (my company has an account with them) and this is the first time and first branch that they wouldn’t give me an email address to send the label to and for them to print for me. Take in mind that they were also more expensive than any other ups stores I’ve been to (I bought two padded envelopes).

    Patrick R: I’ve visited this place twice and both were extremely negative experiences. VISIT #1: The store decided to close earlier than their posted hours. So I ended up wasting my time going there. VISIT #2: They tried to nickel and dime me. I read the negative reviews before going but thought they didn’t apply to me because I had a straight forward Amazon return - NOPE. They told me I didn’t package it correctly and would need to charge me a fee. I refused and repackaged it myself. The employees are obviously trained to inconvenience the customer as much as possible. AVOID THIS PLACE IF YOU CAN. If you can’t, be prepared for maximum frustration and bring your coin jar for when they inevitably upcharge you. I’m honestly expecting an invoice any day now for the oxygen I breathed while in the store.

    Wendy Yu: The worst experience ever - this store is a SCAM...steer clear of this store if you have an alternative store option. They over charge everyone and even charged us individual 6 inch piece of tape (What???). If you are considering this store just be ready to pay A LOT for the most ridiculous stuff (like tape, and $30 for a small box).

    Patrick Polk: I used this establishment for a simple packaging and UPS drop off with a pre-purchased UPS label. Somehow the label that was created was never used a d the package went missing. The tracking number I received from the store displayed a shipment to a random address in a location that was not my sending destination. At the end, my package was never delivered and no one at the Establishment except fault and therefore we're not reimbursed me.

    Chelsea Ridenour: I go to this UPS store on the regular and they are so kind, welcoming, and always willing to lend a hand. I’ve done numerous online shopping returns AND they even helped us print some of the stuff for our wedding. Ken is a super star and always makes my visits easy and straightforward!!     Daina Agee: The staff at this store was incredibly helpful & kind. I called to confirm they were open, the call was answered by a human (no voicemail or phone tree), & they told me about parking options (a garage next door or the loading zone out front). There was a mistake in my shipping address and the staff was so so nice to fix it for me over the phone and run the paperwork out to the curb. THANK YOU so much. The store is off the beaten track but well worth going to SW because the staff was so nice about everything.

    Nateese S: Very disappointed in how the lady conducts herself as a business women. The lady that works there is very rude and disrespectful. This is my second time having a situation with her. Every time she is there she messes up my packages for return to Amazon. I am still waiting on a refund from Christmas. Yesterday 1-15-2022 around 5:30 I wanted to return something back to Amazon. Which only takes 2 to 4 hours to receive and refunded back to me. Today I still haven’t received anything . I decided to go back to UPS to ask her a question about the package. When I arrived she was listening to something that was very loud and did not turn it down at all. I asked her about the package and I didn’t receive confirmation. She told me to contact Amazon about my package. She dismiss me several times and was very rude by cutting me off and having a loud background. I am not sure if she is the manager or not but I have an issue every time She is there. She picks and chose who she wants to pay for tape. I had a package that required a little bit of tape and she wanted me to pay. Another lady comes in with a package that needs to be tape . She never said anything to her. This UPS does not deserve any service from visitors. Very dissatisfied with her work ethics . It’s ridiculous

    Ho LEE: had a great experience yesterday with Leslie. There was a disconnect between the return code the company shared with me and it being recognized by the UPS session. She was friendly throughout the process of figuring out the disconnect and helped me solve it in a short period of time.     Lord Brain: I've been coming here for 7 years, I'll even drive out of my way in DC traffic to use their shipping, mailbox, printing, and notary service. Yesterday, I had to ship my whole company inventory to California last minute, otherwise I would have lost the whole sale and dump my inventory in the garbage (thanks covid). I expected to be turned away because I needed time to bring everything in after they closed, and the other store's wouldn't take my business. Thank god I came here otherwise it would all gone in the trash, $20,000 of merchandize and a good chunk of my own equity. The customer service rep's were extremely knowledgeable helpful, gave me tips to work around the system to get there on time, and even set me up with insurance. This is the best store in the area, and I wouldn't go anywhere else, yet alone the post office (UGH!). Knowledgeable, helpful, reliable 10/10 I feel bad for the people working here, the customer infront of me were so rude and demanding, I know it's DC culture, but some people have no manners, and then make reviews on being inconvenienced 2 minutes for the store to open LOL. Don't trust these other reviewers, mental illness is 10% our the US population or 40 million Americans, probably higher in DC haha. This location is 10/10, and I've had my fair share of shipping the last 20 years. Thanks again guys, I definitely will do business again.

    Kim Min: Wow the lady works at this location was incredible. She was so helpful with my shipping boxes and patiently helped me. I visited couple of other places to ship this large size art but she finally figured to ship with 60,000 insurance covered.She was so attentive and accommdating. Highly highly recommend this store.

    Robert Genovese: I'm having the same complaint other people are having with the guy working at this particular UPS store. I get it's hard to find good workers but this guy is a liability to the store when he challenges a customer on UPS shipping polices and when he is proven wrong he becomes argumentative. Please pay your workers more and get competent people to work for you. You guys are bleeding business because of poor customer service.

    Brian Hasbrouck: Charged me $8 to notarize a document in violation of DC law last Thursday morning. Called the UPS store hotline and was told I'd receive a call back within 48 business hours. Still waiting and will likely just dispute the charge. Look at the owner's reviews below - this place isn't professional. Avoid this store! Update - the store just refunded me and the owner was very friendly. She told me there was a mistake by her employee.

    G H: The sign clearly states 8:30am - 7pm. It’s 8:32 am and they are not open. At 8:40am this man just strolls in to open up the store, no apologies to the customers standing outside waiting on you. While inside, he had his baseball hat on, pants hanging off his behind (with no belt on) and sunglasses. He had this nonchalant attitude, like he just rolled out of bed. I don’t recommend this location to anyone!

    Nils Hünerfürst: A little bit goofy but staff is friendly and the copy service works great.

    Evie Callis: Consider carefully selecting a notary at this location who will actually do their job correctly. My experience is that a particular notary decided her need to be right (when she was absolutely wrong) outweighed her ability to do her job correctly, or even allow for a simple correction to fix her mistake. She totally botched up a very very important legal document that needed to be recorded by not signing her own name correctly and cost many people a lot of stress, time and money. Overall, she had a bad and surly attitude and it did not even occur to her to offer anyone an apology. In addition, no effort whatsoever was made to correct this egregious error - which was actually an option. All that was offered was arrogance and contempt.

    Jenny Richardson: I was having trouble locating a package I sent from Georgia to D.C. Matthew took the time to listen to me and help me even tho his store was not involved. If I lived in D.C., this is definitely where I would give my business. Matthew knows what he is doing and is willing to be helpful in a world where no one wants to offer personal customer service any more. Many thanks!!!

    Nicole Azimioara: So Imma be real, I became the bane of these people's existence for a solid two hours and they were still the sweetest most helpful people possible. I was filling out my student visa forms, needed a couple of them notarized, and needed to make copies. I had a couple kinks here and there but they still helped me out. 20/10, can't talk them up enough

    Tarah Celestin: Mya was extremely helpful and understanding. She worked with me to get all of my large moving boxes to my new home safely. She took extra care to reinforce the boxes with tape and her patience put me at ease. I felt worried about my packing and moving with such large boxes, but working with her made it so much better. I’ve been shipping from this location throughout Med school and it’s nice to end my stay here on a great note! All the employees are kind, personable and accommodating. Extra kudos to Mya.

    Zoe Lu: Update: package delivered several weeks later.. still don't know why glitch happened but the store manager apologized profusely. Appreciate this follow-up and revised rating. Original post: I was waiting to leave this review to see if the store would be reasonable to help me resolve this issue, but it seems they refuse to take accountability for their part. I had a package shipped here since my building has been experiencing package theft. I went into the store to pick up my package a few hours after receiving the notification that it was ready but the store was unable to locate it. Their system showed some weird error so I had to pull up the information on my end which showed that an employee named Matt scanned in. Said employee claimed he did not scan it in and someone else had logged it under his name. Since they couldn't find the package they assumed it was accidentally loaded onto a truck for delivery. I waited two days and they never called me back to say if the package came back in. When the clerk looked it up, system now claimed recipient refused the package and it was on a truck somewhere. He also mentioned that I was the second person with this issue that week. I called UPS customer service as instructed and it went nowhere. The automated system told me package was returned, when I got through to the customer service rep she couldn't even locate the tracking number and despite repeating the digits, she had no record. She told me to contact the store again or ask for the shipper to resend. I contacted the store again and they tried to pawn me off on UPS corporate even though it was an error on their end. A manager has yet to return my phone call regarding reimbursement. UPS corporate refused my claim because of "store error". In the end, the shipper is resending the package and filed a complaint on my behalf because THEIR system shows a delivery delay. Frustrating to know the store refused to acknowledge their role and claimed that since they're "independently owned" they shouldn't be held liable. What is the point of access points if our packages won't make it to us?

    Dave Thienel: Don't waste your time, go to FedEx on 14th. Three employees stared at me blankly as I walked in. They were terribly inconvenienced by needing to pack my items I had brought in and couldn't figure out how to package them. I took then to FedEx and was done and out in no time.

    Ras Sammiedread - DJ Morefire: Was hardly pressed and running late to get 4 photos edited and uploaded on 12 pages application and submit, then download the application and print them all within 45 munites. This lady in there was very professional and extremely helpful. Willing to do anything to make this happen. She said use your own computer to save some money and asked me to email the photos to her so she can edit them to save time whiles she was helping other customers at the same time. I am really grateful for people like you.

    Richenda Van Leeuwen: Horrendous. Avoid this place at all costs. I used to go here periodically without issue, but for the first time encountered the store manager, who is also the notary, who acted like a petty tyrant. After I'd been waiting in the store for 10 minutes for service he refused to take the 30 seconds to notarize my document because he saw I was parked (to avoid blocking other cars) "in front of HIS door" during a torrential rainstorm. To be clear, there is no sign saying this is not allowed and I wasn't blocking anything. Despite my asking him to just take care of the document so I could be out of there within a minute (and then I would have driven away), he refused until I moved my car which was in the one parking place that didn't block other cars. Just because he could. I let him know what I thought and left. I work with small businesses and believe me, this is no way to treat a customer. There are other notaries and UPS stores in the area. Use them. The staff at the one in Bethesda Row are great.

    Christine Lazare: Horrific! As incredible as it sounds to the educated and sane, the store manager, who also happens to be the notary public, refused to notarize my signature today on the pretense that he could not understand the document to be signed!!!!! What he does not seem to understand is that a notary service is to certify that the person who signs the document is the person providing a proof of identity, not the validation of the content. In the past 30 years, whether through adoptions in Asia or official paperwork for my native country, I have had countless documents notarized at the local pharmacy, the bank… and of course today, at the next UPS store!! It is the 1st time I meet a notary public who is so obviously obtuse. One can only wonder if there is another reason for treating me the way he treated me… misogyny and xenophobia come to mind.

    Shams TK: Zero star. I tell everyone don’t go there. I don’t think what they do correct. I bought a small box for $8 while other UPS store sells same box for $4. I asked them and they said each store has different price. I checked several UPS in NW DC, they are all selling for $4. And this UPS is closed on Sunday when other UPS are open….I wish I knew they are not same UPS.

    steven solomon: I rented a box here for more than 5 years. During that time they lost two certified letters with checks inside. To my surprise, I found they take no responsibility for lost certified mail that USPS showed was signed for. When I asked who signed for it they said they don't actually sign for them, they get too many. Well, what am I paying for then? Over the years, the annual 5% increases add up (for a small box they wanted over $400) and what you get is the box, no actual service, no notifications about mail (the only way to find out without going is to call), no responsibility for certified mail delivered, nada. For $10 a month I can have an electronic mailbox company scan and email me the contents of my mail when it arrives and for a few bucks more even make deposits. Which is what I just switched to.

    Unhappy Customer: AVOID. The people who work at this location are extremely lazy. I came in today and asked the man taking care of me if he could pack up a shipment for me (a service that is clearly listed on their website as something they offer at this location). After laughing in my face about it and getting a good chuckle with his colleague, he expressed hesitancy to even do it for me. I tried to convince him to do it to no avail. It thought to myself - I’m the customer. Should I really need to convince or beg an employee to perform a service for me? Isn’t asking enough? I also inquired as to the price of such a service. I asked three times and was ignored each time. Finally, agreeing to do at least SOME work, he printed a shipping label for me. I asked him to please put the shipping label over the existing label on the box so that it would get to the right place. Rather than doing so, he said something along the lines of “You should leave now.” Now I have no idea whether my package will get to the right place, nor whether the contents will arrive undamaged since he refused to pack the box properly. The workers here really need to just do what the customer asks and stop being so lazy/unprofessional. It’s customer service 101.

    TJ Johnson-Torres: Got totally screwed at this place. They asked me if i wanted an estimate for shipping, i said no, the shipping turned out to be $25 - totally reasonable, right? However, them putting my two serving plates in a box, the box itself, and some bubble wrap - wait for it, was an additional $50 - or twice as much as it costs to actually transport the box from DC to NY. UPS: if you are listening, this is absolutely obscene. It took them 8 minutes to package a box and that cost TWICE MORE than the actual transport of the box the 220 miles to its destination. I totally understand having to charge me for packaging (maybe $10) but this is a perfect example of customer exploitation. Never again.

    Robbie Thomas: This is by far the most efficient, well run ship store I've ever visited. I've sent multiple packages from this location and am always impressed with how fast I'm about to get out of there even when I come in with unboxed goods.

    Office Manager: I use this UPS store instead of the post office because they are dependable, nice, and experts at what they do. They also handle your packaging and related needs efficiently. I have been coming to this store for years, and would recommend them highly.

    Catherine Vial: This location has three notaries on staff. Plus, unlike my bank, they authorized to witness signature of documents in a foreign language. Staff is pleasant and very professional. Rarely any Wait time.

    Mary Danzi: Sorry I could only give 5 stars. I recently moved to NW DC. I had to call Comcast to cancel and return my TV equipment. I spent over an hour on hold and when I did eventually speak with someone live, she was less than helpful. I was instructed to take my equipment to my local UPS store and they would return it for me. I was very skeptical it would be that easy. I was expecting another painful and time consuming interaction at the store. Well, was I wrong. It couldn't have been easier and it took maybe 5 minutes from beginning to end. I was assisted my a very friendly Irish man. Didn't get his name. He asked me to wait and he'd give me a receipt to show I had indeed dropped the equipment off. I also picked up a few greeting cards when I was in the store ( great selection too). Thank you to UPS for making this a very pleasant experience. I will definitely be coming back to ship things to my daughter at University. M.D.

Just a heads up that the US postal service rates UPS stores provide are higher than the actual rate you'd get at the post office. I prefer using UPS, but when I'm mailing something cheap and I'm in no rush, I still use the post office on occasion.

    Robin Reiss: Avoid this store if you're trying to print copies. They can't process print jobs submitted through the online portal. You'll pay online, arrive for pickup, won't be able to get your copies, be weirdly chastised for even trying to order a print job that way, and then won't be issued a refund, even though customer relations headquarters later confirmed that the order cancelation needs to be initiated by the locally owned store in order for a refund to be triggered. The employee's understandable frustration with the system quickly turned to rudeness towards customers, though.

    Lavonnia Johnson: It's a great store with excellent customer service. Packages are delivered on time. The store provides many services i.e scan documents and notary service.

    Annisa: The most helpful staff members!! Ran in here to print a few hundred copies for an event that was happening soon and they were so efficient and got me back to my event on time. Thank you all again!

    Sebastián Franco: Terrible service. I needed to print some documents. I did everything online to pick them up at the store. When I arrived, they tried to lie to me saying that the printing service was down. When I said that the order was already paid and confirmed since the day before, they try to give the documents (the printer was suddenly fixed). They were busy apparently, but trying to get rid of me like that was terrible. After waiting 30 minutes I left because I had to go back to work. No documents, no reimbursement, and wasted time.

    Archbishop Dr Smith Abrams Almasi MDiv DD THD PhD: Excellent customer service a must go to place to rake care of all your small business need. They are the bomb.

    Thayse Lima: The best! Just the best service I have ever received anywhere. The employees of this shop deserve yearly bonuses. They are very kind, helpful, and patient. Big shout out to them.

    Johnathan Perkins: Usually alright, but if they print your label, ask them to put it on right then and there. They accepted a prepaid package, printed my label, and said they'd put it on after helping the next customer. I can only assume the next customer had my package shipped to their destination because what showed up from me is definitely not what I sent. And I'll never get what I sent back.

    Glen Bradley: The staff here are always great, professional, and attentive. This location will use their own tape for returns, which has been important for me. I’ll have the box or package slip for an online return, but I don’t have packing tape at home. Other UPS stores closer to me won’t provide tape as needed. This location does! Thanks!

    Catherine Tresslar: I have never left a review on a place before but I am so sad after this location switched the labels on a handmade gift I made for someone that cannot be replaced. An xfinity modem arrived at their door instead and now I am depressed and embarrassed and they have done nothing to help or refund my package. Never ship anything from here

    Julius Foster: The customer service was great and efficient. One small suggestion is if they could install and two-door push button for those in wheel chairs or individuals who might be pushing a babystroller, like one lady was with her baby on Sunday or the person with a cart. But again, great friendly service, fast and knowledgeable. I will alway visit this location. Cheers

I'm just flabbergasted that one of them is from New York, and didn't even know what Hamilton is. I get not having seen it or knowing much about it, but... Anyway. Good work!

    John Webb: The staff was amazing, helpful, intelligent, and kind. They assisted my every need whilst allowing my 3 year-old son to just be a kid. Definitely will be returning to this location for any of my future UPS needs. Recommended for anyone in the district.

    r Taylor: I had a great experience yesterday with Harry Smith. There was a disconnect between the return code the company shared with me and it being recognized by the UPS session. He was friendly throughout the process of figuring out the disconnect and helped me solve it in a short period of time. Great customer service!

You have to be careful at this UPS at every step or they may get something totally off.

    Temporary Variables: Literally one of the rudest customer service I have ever experienced. The lady was not patient and extremely rude. The experience was so frustrating that we decided not to ship one of our packages. I’m not the one to complain about these things because I believe that I have been given a lot of privilege in my life. And we all have bad days. Some patience could go a long way.
    Response: Sadly, our staff is not as diverse as we'd like, and is all MALE. I'm sorry you had an interesting experience at our The UPS Store given "the lady" that wasn't patient with you and was extremally rude to you is not one of our employees.

    nebur2k2: People are here to just collect a pay check with little effort. Had return process started on line all they had to do was scan, print lable and charge for the service. When they seen how many items where been returned the excuse " we can not process that". I am paying for the service. And no i did not get there just before closing time. It was three hour before closing time.
    Response: I'm sorry your experience in our store was so unhelpful. Amazon returns are often the most complicated transactions we process for near zero service fee or commission from Amazon however, we do try to streamline the process as much as possible to avoid delay and problems completing a return. For multiple items there's often multiple reasons why a return becomes complex and might result in additional fees we charge for our services if the item is not prepackaged or labeled according to the instructions given to us after scanning the return code. I'm disappointed you were told blankly a simple "we can not process that" without explanation...there's always an explanation, good or annoying it might be, displayed for the associate to rely. Please do remember when returning a product to Amazon you're dealing with Amazon and not The UPS Store. If the return is not a simple scan and drop, Amazon provides instructions on what steps you must follow prior to dropping off the return at The UPS Store or simply request us to complete the packing and shipping at the cost of materials and time.

    A Smith: No complaints... friendly staff, no wait, clean and organized, and there was parking. I found the process of showing up with 6 packages to be seamless.

    George Loving: Went here to process an Amazon return. The staff acted like they had no real interest in helping me. I needed a box and they I had to basically beg them to help me figure out the box I needed. Will never go here again.
    Response: Depending on the size and type of item we recommend using a poly mailer to help customers save money on their returns. I'm sorry we couldn't provide you with the quality of service we expect to provide. If Amazon requires an item to be boxed and labeled The UPS Store charges for all services to bring the shipment to a ship ready state - printing a label, providing a box, and adding tape. We endeavor to make this experience simple.

    John Leach: I went to return a tire and usually tires are shipped without boxes due to them being “simple freight”. While the store is very nice the current manager was not at all familiar on how the process for shipping tires goes (insisting I use a box), and he overall made my time returning my tire to amazon a hassle. Though his co worker was very pleasant, he (the manager) made my day just a little bit longer than desired. Just frustrating b/c this is the closest location to me. I was expecting a bright future for this store.

    Monica Amtower: Every time that I go, I am in and out quickly and my items are always shipped properly. The staff makes an effort to help multiple people at once and they are friendly. Not sure why they have received such bad reviews. I don't agree

    A R: This is one of the worst UPS stores ever. There is no management here. I walked into this store and wanted to get copies done of few documents. The ONLY one staff doing the work at the counter there showed me where the machine is and how to place the paper and then asked me to make all the copies myself and holler if it doesn't work. Oh the machine did not work. I hollered. She said try moving the paper around and I couldn't figure it out until 10 copies. I kept asking for help but she did not care. After repeated attempts of failing I figured out how to make it work. I made my copies and went to the counter. There was 1 customer ahead of me and 2 after. The staff member asked if I am done making copies. I said yes. And still she ignored me to go to the next customers. When she finally decided to entertain me I told her that I want to ship these copies. She asked for my address. I first told her my number and she read an address on the system which was different so I told her that isn't my address, but she said it is in the system and I was like it needs to change then. She told me I am rude and did not process the order and started raising her tone. As I was noticing the name on her badge, she realized that I was doing so and took the badge off. Eventually I went outside and called UPS customer care. They told me to go inside and talk to another delivery employee there which I did who started telling me why the other staff behaving rudely is right and I am wrong instead of helping take care of my need. The customer care guy eventually told me to leave without paying with my copies. The $4 bucks don't make a difference in my life and I so wanted to pay that but the staff there was hell bent in not processing. They even made fun of my accent. What a horrible and bullying store!!! NEVER EVER GO TO THIS PLACE...

    Sarah Cammarata: Do not go to this store at all costs. You will deeply regret it. This store lost my passport and visa and is not helping with the investigation into how my package went missing. I had a mental breakdown at the store and even then, the employee provided no sort of recourse. Not to mention that they sometimes answer the phone, and say “hold on” and then never return and will hang up 45 minutes later. Or, they respond with an inadequate response and hang up. Very horrible experience with everyone at this store.

    Gloire Mbuyamba: I braved the gloomy weather walked 1 mile to make it before closing time of 17:00! It’s 16:40 and it’s already closed! The assistant inside asks me to look out to say that there is a new time yet on the door it still says 17:00 disappointed

    Kay DC: This is probably the worst UPS Store that I have ever been in. It's not just incompetence or poor customer service, it's actual negligence. This past weekend, I slipped on some ice on the UPS entryway, while trying to open the very heavy door. One of the employees did come out to see if I was OK, which I really appreciated. But when I suggested that they should salt the entry because even though I was just a bit bruised and sore, someone else could be very seriously injured. Both employees then quickly deflected and said it wasn't their job/wasn't their fault. OK... so to add insult to injury (literally)I dropped off my package and when I explained I had come there for the purpose of getting a receipt, was told that I "had an attitude." Fast forward three days later, I decide to get over my PTS from the experience and go back because I needed a document notarized. I made an appointment using the online system and even received a confirmation the day of the appointment. I show up and was simply told "the notary won't be here today." No suggestion about when to come back or why the appointment hadn't been cancelled if the notary wasn't coming. If you have the option to go to any other UPS store, don't choose this one.

    Patricia Davis: I recently did a phone payment to this store for my po box. Next thing I know, I'm getting all kinds of charges to my card -- Door Dash and others. A few months ago I was expecting a credit card and it never showed up. I'm very suspicious of the staff there. The franchise owner did nothing but cover her butt. I'm trying to reach corporate, no luck so far. Beware Note: I am referring to the 455 Mass. Avenue location.

    Kate O'Connor: This is bar none the worst place I’ve ever done business. I spent over $150 sending a package to Europe. It was never mailed and returned to me the next day at my home. I understand that mistakes happen, so I took it back to the store to resolve it. No one could figure out why the package was returned, or figure out how to mail it (which seems like the job of the ups store?). After going back and forth with them for over two hours, I finally took the package to FedEx where it was mailed without incident. That all was annoying, but, again mistakes happen. The real problem with this store is that I’ve been trying to get refunded for over two months. The manager, Jermaine, consistently refuses to call me back and is never at the store (I’ve left five messages and gone to the store four times.) I’ve also reach out to the owner via email (the only contact information they would give me) and they have not replied.

    Ekta chaudhary: Horrible store! The staff doesn't listen to you properly. I sent a shipment to India and they manipulated the item value. When asked, they acted like it's not their fault and were extremely rude about it.

    Brett Birnberg: Ran into the store in a rush after the DMV refused to take my forms and needed to print a few documents fast. Janisha was incredibly helpful and kind, working with me to get what I needed and get out the door. Great customer service!

    Marisa McConnell: Genuinely the worst customer service experience I've had in a while. I needed to print my shipping label and the employee told me it’d be a $4.99 flat fee to even email them the label for printing, an additional $2 per page printed, and that it would cost $2 to use their tape to affix the label on my box. Talk about penny pinching. Worst of all, the employee wouldn't allow me to recycle my cardboard box in their trash bin. To an extent, I can understand that the employee doesn't have much say over the charges, but refusing to let me throw away a box seemed unnecessarily unkind.
    Response: Thank you for your feedback. We process 200 to 300 returns a day. If we provide any service from printing labels , packaging or sealing, we do charge the same fees if you were paying to ship a package.     Glen Bradley: UPS store charged me $2 to tape up my amazon return that said “drop off at UPS and UPS will do the packaging for you. I was already here and didn’t have time to go to my normal UPS store in Columbia Heights that has never charged me for an Amazon return.

Scotty helped me very simply. I asked to buy a box to pack and tape and ship here. Explained how grateful I was when he put the ups box on the scale, asked me to drop the item inside, taped it up and put on my shipping label. The total $4.12! Scotty and UPS at American University ... PERFECT!

    Preston Bays: I went in with my wife, infant and toddler to sign piles of papers and have them notarize it. It was a long process, but Thomas was a true professional and made the process much better than it could have been otherwise. In between helping us, he assisted other customers but always made sure I was ok. Many of those customers also knew Thomas by name and we’re friendly with him, which doesn’t surprise me after my interaction with him. Shout out to his coworker Laila as well.

    Jennifer Simon: Friendly. Professional. Quick. We went to the Post Office yesterday to send three packages. The clerk rudely stated that my boxes were too busy because I had crossed out name brands, etc. on the boxes per the PO guidelines. She told me I needed to go buy brown tape and cover them up. So, we decided to just go to UPS 20 minutes away. And, wow, what a difference! Larry at the Van Ness store and his co-worker gave every single person a smile and always asked, "How can I help you?"     Dongxu Yan: Suggest you guys not dropping delivery package off in this UPS store, because the employees or the delivery man may exchange your item. I sent a pair of sneakers, brand-new air jordan 6 travis scott, to stockx to verify two weeks ago. But I was told by stockx that they received a old and disgusting fila instead. So it is not hard to find what happend in the delivery process :(

    iAm CMack: I tend to frequent here more than I'd like to admit for shipping purposes. Every experience is pleasant. With covid they do get crowded fast inside and outside. The cell phone reception in the store is not the best but the staff offers free wifi to customers that need internet. And its a well kept store that's always clean.

    Maverick Clay: Great service, a little pricey. Not sure if the store sets the price or standard pricing for UPS. Overall experience was good; I would recommend this location.

    W Scott: I've been using this location for years to ship and return packages and never had any issues. They also provide good customer service.

    Regina L. Miles: I had the pleasure of recently visiting this store for the first time. The store itself is very cleaned and organized and the employees are very nice too. I was helped on the spot by one employee after I could not get a cell phone signal without being near their front door. I needed the Shipping Codes and because I could i, and wasn't getting a signal on my cell phone at the counter, I would have had to walk back and forth from the door to the counter and I am sure a lot of customers may have thought I was intentionally ignoring the waiting in line. The UPS employee then gave me a suggestion that I never considered before that would solve my no signal on my cell phone challenges in situations like this and best of all, this is something I can do at home and/or before I go to UPS to ship packages and I need my shipping code or codes. I really appreciated the great Customer Service I received here, and I look forward to my next visit.

Can't scan to email if someone using the only computer? Enable them on machine. Don't think they're using there space efficiently. Seems so cramped in there.

    Taylor: Today I went to drop off packages for a return. The package came to me damaged but that is the same box I’m returning the item in. One of the employees came to me with a attitude and said “We can not take this the box is damaged.” I told him I didn’t do it the box came to me like that. He then said “ Well you can pay for a box or go home and find one. That’s life.” I don’t appreciate the service I received.

    little froe: The owner told me to use my common sense when I asked him what time frame my package would arrive in. How rude!!! He told me I would have to call a customer service number or go online myself- that he didn't actually work for ups he was a private franchise owner so essentially he told me to F*** off because he was closing in 5 minutes and didn't want to help me- even though I had my package tracking number. I will be reporting this to corporate; he should not have a franchise license. I got more info from the website than the actual store owner.

    Mon Oubliette: I arrived to drop off a package, but I had forgotten to print off a label. Most UPS locations have an email address and they’re happy to print off a copy for you, if you forward it over. This location will also do that for you… for $5.50, “and don’t forget the .50!” as the employee said to me. Now, is $5.50 a lot of money? Not really, no. But, does it cost $5.50 to print off a single sheet of paper? Absolutely not, under no circumstances. If I had a code to scan, it would have been free! I would even pay $1, maybe even $2 (if I was in a hurry), for the convenience that most UPS stores offer for free. Fine. But, $5.50? Haha… no. Justification? An exaggerated shrug and “Hey, it’s Capital Hill.” Well, Capital Hill UPS store, to that I say, “There’s another location in the Navy Yard… Take care of yourself.”

    Sara Barrientos: Let me first say I love UPS and come to them for everything with shipping and notarizing etc, this particular time I came to get my fingerprints done something I’ve never done before neither. The staff is lacking good customer skills. Particularly a woman named Shannon with the pink and blue hair. Snapping at me and other clients, it’s not like any customers were being rude or anything, her attitude as well as the other guys was just completely unnecessary. After I got my fingerprints done I asked her if I was getting a receipt or any kinda paper confirmation to which she replied very agitated saying no and that’s it and to make room for the next finger print client. SMH..
    Response: Sara: Thanks for the feedback. Your concern was addressed with Shannon. The fingerprint system doesn't print any receipts. The vendor - Fieldprint - wants customers to contact them to confirm the transaction. This systems difficult, but it's part of the steps of protecting your personal information. Until you provide us your appointment information, we can't obtain any information on you, and once the transaction is complete, the system wipes your information.     Orlando Lindsay: Outstanding customer service from an outstanding team of young people. very friendly staff. I have had my mailbox at this UPS Store for years and never had an issue with the any of the staff members. The staff always provide professional and courteous service to their customers.

    Nancy Patterson: UPS store on Pennsylvania avenue is my default store. Easy for me to get to and the people are so nice. While it's a busy place, I seldom have to wait more than a few minutes. Amazon returns are so easy there. When I send packages (that aren't Amazon returns) the staff is pleasant, patient, and very clear about pricing, shipping requirements and delivery.

    Nora Tabori: Extremely inefficient, both staff the a automated messaging system provided inaccurate information about availability, especially related to their notary services. I have gone three separate times being told that the notary would be available and they have not been. Especially when trying to get legal documents signed this is a huge disservice. Do not recommend anyone tries to use this UPS for a notary

    Rac quel: The staff at this location provide the best customer service. They are friendly, helpful and attentive. This is the only UPS store I go to for mymailing needs.

    Kenneth Wiseman: It's small and busy, so a little wait is to be expected. You would think this was the cargo terminal at the airport. The staff makes the best of it. Not a wide selection of items and this is a place that a lot of local offices use for moving goods. Normal UPS prices and procedures, only reliable option on this side of the Hill. A little patience goes a long ways to getting things done.

    callmeari: I don’t usually do this but if your thinking of getting fingerprinting done at this location don’t! The guy told me to wait and it should take about 10 minutes to get it ready. I had no problem with this so I waited……..and waited. I ended up waiting for a whole hour when there was nobody even ahead or behind me. I had to reschedule my appointment but with a different location. I hope I have a better experience there. Oh and my appointment was at 2pm and I got there around 1:30pm so I even asked if I should come back at 2 and he said no so there’s really no excuse sorry

    Lauren Grom: My boyfriend & I came to the store about five mins past close not realizing it as we had returned from CA that day and we were off on time all day (especially from the overnight flight).     Victoria A: Update: the store owner contacted me yesterday to apologize for my negative experience at this location. He explained to me the process of having documents notarized. He also offered for me to come back and have my documents notarized for free. In addition, he offered me a discount on shipping items. Mr. Shelton, I appreciate you making right my negative experience. Kudos to you. It was a learning experience for me and hopefully the employee. If could give this place a 0 star I would! I went here during my work hours to have some loan documents notarized. I have gone to another UPS store to have loan documents notarized and I NEVER have been asked to present my ID. Well maybe the other person didn’t follow protocol. Ok I get it. Well, the notary at this location that was working at 11:40 am today instructed me to sign and date my mortgage documents. I informed the notary that I had already signed the document but didn’t date it and he instructed me to sign under my name. I SPECIFICALLY asked the notary was this going to be an issue with two signatures. He said no. I signed as instructed by him. I dated the document as well. The notary proceeds to ask me for my ID, I told him I didn’t have the physical ID on me and that I had a picture of it. He said he wouldn’t be able to take it and asked if I had my passport. I told him I didn’t have my Passport on me. I told the notary that I was going To have to have my mortgage company resend me the loan documents via mail because I had already signed and dated the documents for today. He then tells me I can have my mortgage company “email” me the loan modification documents. I told him that it wasn’t possible and that these were LOAN MODIFICATION DOCUMENTS and they would have to resend them to me. Well the notary was dismissive and unapologetic. He was very nasty and unprofessional and said he couldn’t help me . I would like the store manager to reach out to me about this matter.

    Jada Ann R: I sent off a Baccarat glass and decanter set 2/13 to my father for his retirement gift, and sent it next day to ATL. Paid for insurance on the package everything just to be sure it would be covered. Of course when the package was delivered the next day every single glass AND the decanter in the package was broken. $1200 down the drain. I contacted the store and requested a full refund for what I paid in shipping.They assured me I would received a full refund and that they would open a claim and it would take 6-8 weeks for the claim to process and I should see a debit to my original payment method no later than 4/1. It's now 4/14 and I still have not be refunded the close to $200 I sent to ship this glass and decanter set. When I called the manager he told me a check would be sent to the store then when I told him he said I would receive a debit for what I paid in the store, he said he wasn't sure which one I would receive but there wasn't anything he could do because the claim was. "in progress." It felt as if the manager I was speaking with was giving me the run around and very dismissive. Why not just refund me when I had the receipt and you have a record to show what I paid. It doesn't make any sense. When I've checked the UPS site it doesn't show that there is even a claim found under my tracking number. I've frequented this location quite a number of times and sent business to them to support them but am utterly disappointed that 2 months later i still have not received a refund a s requested for a $1200 glass set that they broke up.

    Account Deactivated: Have you ever been stressed out running errands? The post office is the last place you want to be. Marcus and Mike have taken care of my shipping needs on multiple occasions - even taping up the boxes. They are efficient and work through the long lines, keeping everyone calm. I was quite impressed that they saved my wallet when I misplaced it and are so friendly when I bring one of my pups with me.     David david: I would like to say to all the employees of post office in general to look where they leaving the mail if is in the correct address. They left my mail in the next door or next 2 doors. Is like really? Why do they hire people that won’t pay attention to what they doing. I had my package delivered and wasn’t there at the address they might left it in the wrong address and I never get the package and all my mail aren’t delivered to my address. Can you please check the address before leaving the mail or how to fix this issue because is really annoying I’d like that issue to be fixed PLEASE!!!

    ASK Dee Fair: Just left this location and after standing in line a few minutes the female working behind the counter makes an announcement cash only....no sign visible etc...I went to the Takoma Park location and was advised this is a regular occurrence at this location however it's a game they play to do less...if they don't want to sit and work quit someone will replace you...management needs to handle this appropriately...asap!..Ask Dee Fair Common Sense 101/you tube.

    Crystal Brown: Our regular mail carrier is great and the person at the window is usually nice. But God forbid if you call and speak to those in the office. Rude, rude and ruder. No manners or customer service etiquette at all.

    Andrea Rodney: I have been having problems with this post office for years now my God I have never seen such a unprofessional dirty place before treat there customer as if we are there asking them to do something other than there job that they went and applied for, this behavior is unacceptable. went there to pick my packages up after my tracking information shows that they has been delivered there, gave them the numbers she went in the back just has she walked away I decide I was going to check my post office box where she and the supervisor was standing talking. she said I to him I found her mail then she asked him what was the problem, as she walk back out and tell me there was no mail and that she cannot find my mail with the tracking number, that I should call ups for them to give me there tracking number so that she can look it up

    Maseh Berri: The post office attendance (the bulky elder guy) is the slowest officer I ever met, he uses upto 20 min per client, and is not flexible at all. Please if u want a quick service DO NOT COME HERE. But if u have the hold day, then is the place for u.

    Katorra Christina: Adding to the 1 star ratings. I’ve never had any problems before receiving packages until recently and it’s unrelated to COVID. I believe there is either a theft problem or supreme inefficiency, both have caused me a loss of time and money. If you call don’t expect any help. Someone actually hung up on me while I was mid sentence explaining my package was never delivered even though the person said they did on two separate occasions.

    David Askew: Have not received mail on the 4000 block of Kansas Ave NW in 3 days. I was notified that the package I was expecting was just delivered. What a crock of_____! The reason I know for certain that it was not delivered was the fact that I was sitging at the front door, no mail person came even close to the building. What that person probably did was stand at the mail truck and scan it as delivered. A bull____ way to run a mail route.

    R.Derrick Thomas: Would give it zero stars if possible. Ive had the same experience as many others... Rude staff; a phone line which is never available or picked up; long lines because the desk staff chats casually behind the glass with coworkers or engages with gossip with customers after their transaction is complete. I've also had the mysterious "delivery attempted" notice come via email with no physical notice at my front door and while I was sitting at home waiting for the package. The USPost Master needs to take these complaints seriously.

    Preston Bays: Gave two stars because the post office employee was nice and polite. Website says this location does passports, but that is false. Brought our infant and was a complete waste of time. FYI the 900 Brentwood Road NE Post Office does, and also allows walk-ins.

    Geramie Ervin: So I’m a disabled veteran and I went here to mail something and the lady who helped me was busy watching her TV show after I was standing at the counter for a few minutes so I finally asked her how her day was going she seemed irritated to come help me it was difficult to understand her although my hearing is no longer the best and with wearing masks it makes it difficult to hear as she was giving me instructions on how to seal the box she angrily yelled at me “are you drunk?!” I’ve worked in sales and customer service a large amount of my life I was completely respectful of her and for her to treat a customer this way is completely unacceptable. She apologized only after she saw my demeanor change and I could tell she just didn’t want to get in trouble. Hopefully the manager or someone in charge of that post office will hold her accountable. Unfortunately I didn’t see a name tag and on the receipt it just says the person who did it was clerk 19.

    Alexah Rogge: Do NOT bring your wedding invites here! I put extra postage on my invites to have them hand cancelled (not put through the machine) and the lady assured me they would be. They were all torn from the machine and dirty. This is a pic of one, but other guests never even received them so I’m guessing they were so badly damaged that they weren’t legible. After hand-making all of my invitations and adding the extra postage for safe handling this was such a disappointment. Update: About a dozen of my guests haven't received theirs and several have been returned to my address because the shipping address was completely shredded by the machine.

    Kristin Roesch: The USPS constantly delivers packages and mail to the wrong mail boxes. My tracking numbers say delivered but I never received my packages. This has happened so many times to myself and others that live in my building. Our mailboxes are marked with our unit numbers and names so this really should not be an issue!

    Jennifer Sundook: They are closed at 2:35 on a Wednesday. No reason given. Their lunch is supposed to end at 2:30. This is not the first time they have been closed when their hours indicate they should be open. I waited 10 minutes and then a pedestrian told me he waited 30 minutes yesterday and no one ever came. Left without sending package.

    Justin Casey: I can’t say the customer service here is excellent by any means.

    Melissa Gray: There needs to be something on this page that states this is not a public post office and that's it's located in the Navy Yard and you need a government badge to access.

    Esfandiar Bandari: I felt sorry for the woman that answered the phone last time I called. This place is run by donkeys, no disrespect to donkeys. It is a UPS drop off, so not easily avoidable. I am holding back on contacting UPS and the people I know. They told my daughter TWICE that they did not have a gift I had bought her. I contacted the vendor and they put a lost or stolen tracking on it. She had the UPS ticket and I tracked it through UPS and it was there. When I called, them, the... guy... that answered was LOUD and asked me if I was sure that I have the right place, even before I asked my question!?! He did not want the ticket number or the UPS code, but my daughter's name! When I told him, he shouted if there is a package for her, and some other moron immediately yelled back yes it is! When my daughter went back they Again told her the package is not there! She said she is not leaving and Then they gave her the package. I called them back. They would not pick up the phone. Finally a young woman picked up and she seemed resigned with a bunch of 'ehhhems' and "ya"s. It's not that hard to have UPS not give them any business or go viral on their rear ends. But I really felt bad for her.

    Nicole Mitchell: I spoke to another professional in the PO Box industry that I have done business with for years. I am now out of state and he continues to give me great service!!! THESE MEN ARE THE NASTIEST PEOPLE. DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR MAIL. SERIOUSLY. THE HATE I FELT FROM THEN TODAY WAS SO HURTFUL. I WAS NOT WRONG TO BE UPSET THAT YOU WERE CLAIMING TO HAVE LOST MY MAIL. WHICH MIRACULOUSLY APPEARED WHEN I SAID IM GOING TO CALL AUTHORITIES! I’m going to do as promised and write the better business bureau about this company. Also consumer affairs. Your reviews all show that you lose mail regularly. Which probably why you don’t want to fix your messed up app issues! SHADY SHADY SHADY

    Brendan Lane: I used this as a UPS access point when my usual location was closed, and I will never be going back. The owner was incredibly rude and scolded me for waiting to be served. He was sitting in the back attending to other business, so I waited for him to have a free moment. He yelled that I should move over so that I be served faster (I am unsure what he meant by that). When I said I saw him sitting in the back doing other things, he said that I shouldn't tell him how to run his business. He clearly was just in a grumpy mood and was lashing out by assigning other meaning to my words. There is no reason to take out his personal anger on customers. I would recommend going to the CVS UPS access point on 1st Street NE. The staff are always helpful and willing to answer any questions I have.

    Rick Hendrik: Good Store. Owner is smart, sharp, and moves fast -- which can create a negative impression (unfairly though). Just be direct, patient, and polite, and you'll get fast, good service. Store is most convenient UPS drop-off location in H Street Corridor -- just make sure to get receipt when you drop off packages.

    Kiow_ Physics: We dropped off a UPS package and received a receipt. They lost it the package and it was never handed over to UPS. The owners were rude and could care less. They told us to wait a day and it would show up. Never happened. This is NOT the first time this has happened to us.

    Cheryl Lovelady: I dropped off my Amazon return package at this location. When I asked for a receipt I was scoffed at by the male employee. One month later, my return package has not been received and my money has not been refunded.

    Hannah Hudson: This place is a great place to send and receive packages. We constantly had our packages stolen from our house and now we have them sent here. They log each package in and I can see it on my app. Great and easy system that has solved a huge problem for us.

    TheMaster FAZ: The man who attends the store is disrespectful, he treats customers badly, it is the second time I pick up wish packages, the 2 times I went he treated me very badly, he has a serious problem I throw my packages in a display case
