Shade Lanz: I had a very horrible experience here and wish I never made the trip! I went in to treat sunburns that I got from vacationing. Dr. Alster took a quick look at me and said I was "INNATELY DARK" and she could not help me until I was "no longer exposing myself to sunlight"... in what world does that happen?! She then recommended a face serum, eye cream, and sunscreen powder, which were completely ineffective after using it for over 2 months (I bought the serum and eye cream). This is besides the fact that I was treated like a lab rat with student doctors perusing my face. I am still traumatized by the VERY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE I had here. It was a total waste of my time and money.

Candice Ellis: This is one of those places where they won't tell you the actual cost of treatment until you've spent $250 to see a doctor for a five-minute "consultation," and get you in the door by providing misleading/incorrect information at the time of booking. I called on 10/22/2021 at around 1:00 PM to inquire about laser tattoo removal. When I asked about the cost, the woman who answered the phone explained that they could not give me an exact figure without first seeing the tattoo (understandable), but that sessions started at $350 and went up to $1,000. I figured my 2x3” tattoo would be somewhere on the middle/lower end – this isn’t a sleeve we’re talking about here – and felt okay booking the $250 consultation to determine the actual cost and next steps for removal. So, given that I was under the impression that the high-end cost per session was $1,000, imagine my surprise when the doctor quoted me $950 – $950!!!!!! – per session to remove my TINY 2x3 INCH tattoo. When I expressed my surprise at landing on the upper end of the range I had been quoted over the phone (what do people with sleeves do?), the nurse told me that they shouldn’t have quoted a price at all, and that the cost per session for laser tattoo removal can (and often does) far exceed $1,000. Not sure why I was told that $1,000 is the max if that’s just the starting point for “large” tattoos, but it got me to book the $250 consultation so good for their bottom line, I guess? And on that note: I never, ever would have booked this place and spent the $250 consultation fee if the folks over the phone had been honest about the cost. It's not like their method of determining cost requires the expertise of an MD, either, as the doctor I met with told me it’s based on size of the tattoo, not the complexity. Anyone can make that calculation, so why charge people $250 for a consultation? To get people in the door, maybe? Overall this place just seems super shady and dishonest. In retrospect, I should have tried to get a refund for the consultation fee given that I was misled when initially booking the appointment, but the whole thing was just so off-putting and upsetting that my main focus was to just get out of there ASAP. For those looking for laser tattoo removal in the DC area, check out the Center for Laser Surgery. They’ve got MDs on staff and will provide a quote via email for free :)

georgeann ballou: growing "mature" is inevitable but with the help of Dr Alster we can age gracefully the only products i will use and the only office i will visit even though it's a plane ride away thanks for the TLC and always being there for questions and continuing to produce great products

Bradford Burke: Words cannot express how wonderful Dr Alster is. Of all the doctors I’ve ever been to, her bedside manners exceeded them all. She greeted me with a smile in her eyes (mask was on) and proceeded to explain the procedure in detail and wrapped her spiel by asking me if I had any questions. She exhibited a level of concern & compassion unmatched by any other physician. During my procedure today, she verbalized exactly what she was doing every step of the way. She even went as far as sharing some recent adventures she had been on. I left feeling confident in her knowledge, abilities, and professionalism. What a class act Dr Alster is. I’d recommend her to anybody.

rachel katz: Dr. Alster was recommended to me by a dear friend. My skin is aging and I wanted someone who was knowledgable to help me look better.....more like myself. I was pretty nervous going in to the appointment. I didn't know what to expect. First of all, I got there a bit early and they actually saw me early. I didn't wait at all. Dr. Alster made me feel completely comfortable right away. She is warm, friendly, smart and professional. Clearly she knows what she is doing and I knew I was really good hands. Her office is a special place. The staff is warm and happy. You can see right away that they love the office and what they do. At the end of my appointment I'd forgotten some post procedure instructions and one of the women actually ran down the stairs to catch me before I left! So nice. Sue did my initial consultation and booked a 5 session package after she explained everything and made sure I was comfortable with proceeding. Nina Wieczorek: I had such a wonderful experience with Capital Laser Hair Removal. I highly recommend them, especially if it is your first time trying laser hair removal. Sue and Liz were both extremely kind, respectful, and always exhibited the highest level of professionalism. I had never really had any cosmetic procedures done in the past, so I was a bit apprehensive, but Sue and Liz did a great job of putting my mind at ease. The offices themselves are actually quite beautiful—very modern and clean. I also want to mention that as a trans woman, going into cosmetic procedures like this can be pretty anxiety-inducing, but I could not have felt more comfortable each time I had a session. I have no doubts whatsoever that this would be the case for any member of the LGBTQIA+ community :). Regarding the treatments I received: I purchased a package of five sessions for my face as well as the front of my neck. The results were pretty amazing! Although I still shave daily, it is so much easier to do so, and I really don’t even get a 5 o’clock shadow anymore. I still have a few stubborn hairs, and since I want them all gone I will probably do electrolysis somewhere to finish things up, but I will definitely go back to Capital Laser for other parts of my body in the future (when I can afford it, at least)! I think there are somewhat cheaper options out there, and maybe those are acceptable, but if you really want a great experience, awesome results, and peace of mind, It’s worth it to go here. Briana Lanigan: Highly recommend. I decided I wanted to get laser hair removal because I was becoming frustrated with my underarm hair growth cycle. I would shave and about a day or two later the hair would regrow so you could see it, but it wasn't long enough to shave again or else I would get really bad irritation. I landed on Capital Laser Hair Removal because of their reviews, they are specialized in this field for 21+ years, and they consistently have promos. I just finished my second session (out of 5) for both my underarms and bikini and I can't be happier. I am seeing great results so far! As for the pain, the underarms - easy peasy. Barely feel a thing. The bikini area is definitely more sensitive and it hurts, but only while the laser is being applied. Otherwise, the recovery time is maybe 5 minutes compared to waxing which I would feel at least a bit of pain several hours after the treatment. Again, definitely recommend. Ellen Jo: I have been here for dermaplaning and chemical peels. The service is top notch, the facility is clean and peaceful, and I leave every appointment glowing. Maybe it's the level of peel I get, but the post-peel is not bad at all, i.e., I can go out in public, and yet I still get all the post-peel glow effects. Can't wait to schedule my next appointment!

Stephanie Kazakoff: I saw Rhema and can’t recommend her enough. As a first time aesthetic patient with her, i was immediately put at ease. She took the time to thoroughly explain the service I was getting. When performing the service she took her time and was thoughtful on placement based on my day to day activity I told her about. She even had the practice aesthetic director come in for a second opinion which I appreciated. It’s my face so It was nice to be reassured that everything was done tastefully. The practice itself is very modern and clean as well.

I love how my skin GLOWs after seeing her. Laura brings my skin back to life, especially during the cold/dry winter season.

Anitra White: My experience with the Cultura Surgical Center was very miss leading. I was told I will see results in the treatments. This is my forth treatment, and I honestly don’t see any difference in my skin, this treatment was around $1500 I’ve had treatments from Dermatologist in the past, I honestly expected more or to say the least better results. In my experience, this was by far a waste of money and time, NOTHING has changed since coming to them 4 months ago, when I expressed them my concern that the treatments aren’t working, they then added I will need more treatments costing over $3000.00 Why would some pay for extra treatments if you’re not seeing results in the first 4 treatments?? Don’t waste your money! On a few positive notes, The office is very clean, people are nice, welcoming and professional. Parking was easy to find, great location. There is this one employee I would like to mention by the name Ashley, I wouldn’t bother having her do ANY of your valuation for treatments, she caused ALOT of confusion and was very messy, energy was negative, She’s the reason why I did receive all the full treatments needed. When I addressed this matter, they all tried to cover for her lack of professionalism. You simply can’t trust establishments that allow their employees to not hold themselves accountable, Mrs. Battles decided to do the treatments, to diminish all that occurred, I enjoy her, sweet, personable and gentle. However, I don’t feel like all the Area’s have been treated. This is why you don’t pay first, just in case you’re not satisfied and allow them to make the adjustments, but I’m sure if I haven’t paid already they would have denied treatment and so would I, Nonetheless, Black owned Its so difficult to support our own. Lia Burrell: I had a great consultation for cool sculpting with Chastity. She was very friendly and transparent about the procedure. I had to reschedule my original appointment but the receptionist was very understanding. Finally on my appointment day I was very relieved to see Chastity again. She performed my procedure and answered my questions about other procedures I am considering. I will be back!!
Alicia Manning: Dr. Tamara Lowe is phenomenal! Her attention to detail is bar none. She also consistently provides a thorough explanation for questions I pose concerning various treatments and what's best for my skin. I drive 3 hours each way for appointments at Cultura. Dr. Lowe makes it worth every bit of the drive.
Brittnee King: I have been receiving treatments from Cultura for about 5 years and I continuously applaud this practice for being an amazing place for specializing in the care of melanin! In my experience, the staff has always been professional, honest, and friendly. I highly recommend booking your next appointment with them.
Habitually Hilari: I always get a great outcome from Cultura. I continue to go here because they are results oriented and intentional about the treatments and methods. If I could change one thing, it would definitely be the demeanor of the office staff. They have recently hired more personable people since the early days but there are a few people who work in this office that must lead a miserable daily life. I wish them well, but I truly hate encountering people with toxic dispositions in the service industry. It’s very disruptive to my energy and unprofessional at best.
linda riggins: I was late to my appointment, somehow i put the wrong time in my phone. I drove an hour to get there. They were extremely professional and were able to accommodate me anyway, whew, because I had only been waiting two years to get through COVID to see them. Afrika greeted me and was so sweet and when I told her the meter wasn't working in front of the building she said she would keep an eye on my car just in case. I saw Sally for my complexion blending. I've never had laser treatments before, ooh it hurt because my Hyperpigmentation is bad. I was very pleased with the service I received and although I have a few more treatments, I would highly recommend them.
Raquel Punter: Very friendly and helpful. I had questions about a reaction to one of the creams that I was given. And upon the aestheticians investigation, it was found out that I was using them incorrectly. After setting me straight, we continued on with my appointment. I'm so thankful for the instruction and how they take great care of their guests
Linda Johnson: Great experience! Very happy with the service and staff. My experience was wonderful! Ms. Leslie is Amazing! She’s very knowledgeable of her job and very professional. I felt really comfortable with her. My case was recently transferred to Monica; Really nice and professional. I only had two treatments left with her. During my last treatment, it was founded that I needed to take a break after undergoing 8 treatments, my skin was very sensitive to this last treatment. I will take a break and finish my last treatment. I have definitely seen a change. All in all, I love ❤️ the staff. Great Team! I will definitely use other services I feel I need.
Mo Ev: I have been a client for over ten years on and off. Recently, I had a bad acne outbreak and made so many mistakes trying to fix it the past six months. I made an appointment with my favorite, Tamara and in less than a week of applying what she prescribed, I am already seeing OBVIOUS results! The price for the services offered by Cultura are certainly worth it based on the return.

Zaya Bold: Came in for a consultation appointment with Dr.Adrian and was seen in under 10mins in the office. I really liked not having to deal with old school paperwork etc, just used the tablet to fill out forms. Dr.Adrian was very nice and recommended few products, I look forward to seeing the results and finally have a clear skin!
Elisa Davoodi: This review is long overdue, as I have been absolutely delighted by the service here since my very first appointment in February 2019. The staff here are incredibly kind and understanding. I have received all of my treatments from Kathy, a dermatological nurse with decades of experience. Despite her years of expertise and knowledge, Kathy is incredibly accessible and easy to talk to. Every single time I've seen her (five sessions so far) she has gone well out of her way to ensure my comfort and ease. The cherry on top is that their prices are also very reasonable for the DMV area.
sigalit haderay: Extremely recommend this practice. Dr. Adrien was able to help me solve a problem that other practices have not been able to solve. This practice was very good. I would definitely go back.
Irina Serova: Dr. Thomas Adrian is simply amazing! I went with an acne problem which I had for the last 10 years and after trying 2 different treatment options 5 months later my face was completely clear, I am impressed with his work ethic and his knowledge! He also treats a ward on my feet which I had for a few years now and it’s almost gone after just several treatments! I am very thankful to him and his assistant Tanya, who is always helping me to prepare before Doctor, she is very helpful and beautiful person! And new front desk assistant- I believe her name is Emily, she was so nice and helpful to reschedule my appointment for 30 minutes late, since I was running late! Incredible Doctor and wonderful team! They do miracles there and I am happy to be their patient! Thank you all so much! You made me healthy, beautiful, happy and confident about myself!
Ian Poquet: Today was my first visit and I was coming ready for a facial. Their friendly staff checked me in quickly and Anna came for me within minutes. She was very kind and caring, and I felt as she was very honest with our consultation and made sure all my questions were answered. At the end, the facial I wanted was not the right option for me, but she suggested alternatives that were very well suited for what I was looking for. On my way out, I had a last-minute question about laser treatment and Melanie, the laser specialist, pulled me aside to address it without the need to come back for a different consultation. I am very happy with how I was treated and I would recommend this practice to anyone.
Ninerz S: The front desk staff were really nice and accommodating of a last minute schedule change I needed. Dr. Adrian was extremely nice and explained the procedure I was there for very carefully and put me at ease. The offices and waiting room are pristine. I was nervous about my appointment but it went extremely well because of the amazing staff and Dr. Adrian. I'm glad to have found CLS for my skin's needs and recommend it highly.
Helen Stull: Melanie is beyond phenomenal!! I have been to her several times for many different treatments and been satisfied every time. She is very friendly and knows her needle!! She is a perfectionist and it shows in her work. I highly recommend her! She really cares about her patients and it shows through her work.

I was expecting this process to be painful and stressful, but Melanie's approach and bedside manner have made the process so easy and painless. The people who work here are trustworthy, funny, and kind and I can't recommend the Center more highly. My feedback is listened to and Melanie is always clear and honest with what to expect. I've never had such a positive experience at a medical office and I'm sure the quality of service extends to other treatments the Center provides.

He took the time to help me understand my skin conditions and the various treatments he prescribed. They were also able to fit me in for a facial with their Aesthetician who was absolutely fantastic! I was greeted warmly by the front desk staff and offered water to make myself more comfortable. Thereafter, I was with Courtney for my laser hair treatment. I think she could sense that I was nervous as this was the first time I had done anything even close to a laser service. Throughout the process I probably asked her at least one hundred questions and each and every time she answered my questions with kindness and patience. She was very knowledgable of the technology and how it affects the skin and the hair follicles. The entire time I was receiving my treatment, I felt like I was in great hands. Tiffany Thompson: I've had a really good experience with LaserAway for lip fillers. Valerie is kind, knowledgeable, and did everything she could to make my comfortable while sticking a needle in my lips. The entire staff is great at making you feel like a friend and they do seem to know their stuff. They're all super nice. My only words of warning are that it does feel a little like they're constantly trying to upsell you on additional services, but it does come in the form of being genuinely helpful.

Taylor Treloar: WORST BUSINESS PLEASE AVOID! After entering my email to get more information on laser hair removal, I have received over 100 emails, texts, and phone calls from Laser Away. I have always heard good things about Laser Away and genuinely planned on booking multiple different services, but I am highly annoyed by the unrelenting harassment. After booking my consultation and subsequently receiving another Laser Away text, I decided to finally ask a question since dozens of emails, texts, and calls have encouraged me to do so, and I wanted pricing information to avoid wasting unnecessary time during a consultation if possible. So I was a bit frustrated to hear that 10 minutes after booking my consultation, I could "no longer receive information." I have never in my life written a bad review or complained to staff about a business. However, this experience was outrageous, and I urge Laser Away to stop relentlessly harassing potential customers.

Ryan Ackermann: I’ve gone to the Laseraway in Arlington several times, but for this treatment I went to the DC location. Usually when I go I get hair removal and Botox, but this time I got the Clear and Brilliant treatment. The nurse that performed my treatment was Kwedi and she was amazing! Super personable and did an amazing job. Such a sweetheart and explained the treatment as she did it. Additionally, the facilities were very clean and the admin staff was great!

Allegra B.: I have had a positive experience with laser hair removal at Medical Cosmetic Enhancements. I found the laser much more uncomfortable that I expected, but the treatment is working very well for me after 3 sessions and it is worth the temporary discomfort. Most of the staff are friendly, and each technician has been thorough, efficient, and patient in the laser process, answering any questions and giving breaks as needed. The office is conveniently located, and they are punctual with their appointments, which is much appreciated.
Eden Siskind: Had a super great experience with Medical Cosmetic Enhancements getting underarm laser. It’s super quick and honestly not that painful. Was able to see results after the second session and the price is amazing. Just finished my sixth session and I’m very happy with the results. Would recommend!

dsou: I heard about Medical Cosmetic Enhancements online and started my first ever laser therapy treatments there in July 2021. At first, I was very nervous about receiving treatments, but the staff is extremely professional and knowledgeable which put me at ease and allayed some of my concerns. The facility is pristine and is conveniently located in West End part of the District of Columbia. They are also wonderful with last minute accommodations for appointments and really strive to provide client satisfaction. I just finished up my third round of laser treatments in two small areas and have been very satisfied with the results so far. I plan on doing other areas there over the next few months!
May Y: I first went to MCE last year to inquire about skin tightening treatments. Dr Varano listened carefully to my concerns and when I’d finished he said the results I was seeking from the laser treatment would not be satisfactory to me. So he recommended another type of treatment. He advised purchasing a series in order to see the best results. Like all treatments out there, you’re hopeful yet skeptical. I took a chance and it was undeniably worth every bit if my money and time. The results were significantly noticeable. I use the word significant because after my 4th session, my husband noticed with an appreciative eye. I returned for another series of the same treatment but for a new area of the body. 4 sessions later I had impressive results again. The office and treatment rooms are extremely clean. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and I always look forward to a visit. I highly recommend this office for a variety of services!
Victoria Pena: Very comfortable environment. Not from DC so was looking for a place that was in my price range and found medical cosmetic. They scheduled me right away and had amazing service. Would recommend for laser hair removal!

During my last 2 sessions I stopped seeing results and decided to cancel the sessions. I tried to explain to the girl in the phone and she was super rude, she basically hung up to me.
Shweta Agnihotri: After I pre-paid for my entire laser package- full legs, bikini & underarms- 6 sessions, they call me 7 months later- saying.. oh pay us more, you paid for 6 sessions for the underarms and just 3 for the legs- so unethical and greedy! like seriously? 7 months later, you "checked your books" is it? I hope people read this review and save themselves the trouble of this spot! ( also 1 of my sessions, my entire leg had burn marks! thats how bad the laser was- my physiotherapist remarked that my 'trauma' marks on the legs looked like an untrained technician performed the laser on me'
Response: You paid $990 for 3 full leg sessions which included 3 free bikini sessions and paid for a package of 6 underarms . We are very transparent on pricing as this is listed on our website https://www.medicalcosmetic.org/specials You being unaware is not our fault. Lastly you experience cupping from the laser hair suctioning not burns as your physiotherapist suggested

Courtney Smith: I’m getting married in May and wanted to get my skin wedding ready, so I booked a bridal consultation and a facial with dermaplaning. This was my first facial and I honestly had no idea what to expect, but Sophia walked me through the process and I was SO relaxed! My skin felt so clean and smooth afterwards and I ended up purchasing a facial cleanser that was recommended for me so that I can continue to work on my skin from home. I’m looking forward to seeing her again next month and have a feeling that getting facials will become a part of my monthly self care!

Mia Saponara: I see Sophia about every 4 weeks for a facial and I look forward to it every month. I have always struggled with a variety of skin problems and haven’t had anyone be able to address them or take them seriously until I went to see her. My facials are relaxing but also educational as Sophia walks me through what she’s putting on my face, why I need it, and how I should be taking care of my skin at hone. Would highly recommend!

Aya Farhat: I love this place! I have been coming to Hela for about a year for facials, laser hair removal, and microneedling and all treatments have been amazing. Sophia has been my esthetician for a few months, and my skin has never looked better. Sophia is attentive, responsive, and makes you feel comfortable no matter the treatment (even LHR!). She is honest with her recommendations, and I know my skin is in good hands every time I visit. Can't recommend Sophia or Hela enough!

Erica White-Ruffin: My initial consultation with injector Erica went very well. I inquired about lip fillers, the receptionist at the time was very pleasant and welcoming. The space was very clean and comfortable. When I came in to get my actual service, my experience was a little different. My appointment was at 10AM and on my way to the Spa I was stopped by law enforcement as they were doing routine checks on Connecticut Avenue( I’m assuming they were looking for someone). My mom called Hela several times to let them know I’d be exactly 10 minutes late. She called about 3 times and no one ever answered. By the time I arrived, there was a different receptionist, she wasn’t as pleasant as the first one I met. She barely spoke and when I expressed my apologies for my tardiness and that I called several times, she said she didn’t receive any calls... She gave me some forms to fill out and told me to have a seat. Another client came in, the receptionist attitude was completely different. She greeted the young woman, welcomed her, offered her water and came from around the desk to hand her the forms. My mom and I were both puzzled. Erica then came out and again, I expressed my apologies for running late and let her know that I did call several times, she said the phones were off the hook and not worry about it. Contrary to what the receptionist said, I believed Erica. She began to sanitize my lips and said I had beautiful lips and I really didn’t need the filler. I insisted that it’s what I wanted and my desired look. She proceeded. She did do a dental block to make the process more comfortable and it certainly was. I barely felt a thing. After she was finished I noticed a very subtle difference, she told me she actually used 2 syringes of restylane. My lips certainly did not appear to have two syringes and my mom said she never saw an additional syringe. I did like the results but did not love them. She said if I wanted more I could come back and do a lip flip. At checkout, the receptionist told me the price which was $250 more than what their website advertised. I had no problem with it. I noticed a week after my appointment, it was advertised accurately. Erica is great and is good at what she does and I more than likely would recommend her but I myself wouldn’t come back.

David Dreyer: I have been an extremely satisfied DC Derm Docs patient for years. After my first visit I was able to stop my scalp from littering my clothing with debris. In annual subsequent visits I've been examined carefully and thoroughly to ensure that the sun hasn't left any markers indicating cancer, etc. No news items there, thankfully. Most recently they made time for me quickly to get treatment for a nasty case of poison ivy. The only ointment they prescribed began working the next day. It is a warm, friendly environment with staff who are unfailing attentive to the needs of their patients and a gas to be around. They are A+ in my book.

Yasmine Arrington: I had to have a cyst on my back removed that began causing me pain, and I was desperately looking for a dermatologist office in Washington, DC. I notice that now many dermatologist offices have automated voicemails that send you straight to voicemail. However, when I called DC Derm Docs after holding on the line for an operator, Mimi picked up and greeted me. I shared with her my issue and asked if the office was taking new clients at this time and if they had any available appointments that same day or the next day. Mimi was so kind and helpful and booked me an appointment for the very next day! Dr. Pabby, who I learned transitioned from Kaiser Permanente to DC Derm Docs, was extremely kind and took the time to explain to me what the procedure would require to remove the cyst and she was able to fit me in the same day for the procedure. The procedure went so smoothly and Dr. Pabby and I had a wonderful conversation even while she was operating on me. One of the practitioner assistants, Lydia, welcomed me into one of the medical rooms and was so kind from start to finish. Lydia gently cleaned up my newly stitched area post procedure and patched me up nicely with hydrogen peroxide, Neosporin and a bandage and gave me instructions on how to take care of the stitched wound to ensure that it heals properly and allows for easy removal of the stitches in a couple of weeks. Lastly, I also spoke with one of the technicians, Daniella, about facial/skin care treatments. She was also very pleasant and recommended for me the Diamond Glow and handed me an informative brochure! I am excited to receive my first detox/revitalization facial in a couple of weeks! As I was preparing to check out, Mimi checked in with me to ask about my experience, as she wanted to make sure that I had a pleasant one! Also, both Mimi and Dr. Pabby submitted my procedure and payment information to my healthcare provider to request a refund for me! DC Derm Docs was a full experience! I sincerely appreciated everyone's kindness and excellent customer service! I will definitely be returning back to DC Derm Docs for skin treatments and other cosmetic procedures! My nurse was Jane, and I have to say, she is the reason why I will be coming back! J. D. Rosenzweig: I've been going to this practice for a few years, and have had several different treatments, and the wonderful nurse Le-Nhu is a big reason why I keep coming back. She always is upfront and honest as to how treatments are going to feel and explains what she is doing. She also makes sure that she completes the treatments in an effective manner by making sure she is fully executing the treatment and being a bit aggressive (in a good way!) to get the results that are desired. She's extremely confident and knowledgeable about the treatments in a way that makes the patients trust her.

TM: Waste of money and time. I had the vbeam laser which was more than twice as much as other places and had zero results after a couple treatments. The place is clean and the staff friendly, but I don’t suggest this laser.

Al W: I had my second visit with Dr. Peters, and I will not be returning. Although my first visit with her was satisfactory and she gave me great skincare recommendations, her demeanor was rushed and slightly patronizing. When I scheduled a follow-up appointment, I tried to schedule with Dr. Tanzi, but she is not seeing any new patients. So I decided to give Dr. Peters another shot-- same issue. Even though she answered all of my questions, I felt as though she was racing through my exam, as though she had somewhere else to be. Not the feeling I am going for when I see a dermatologist or any doctor. While I have no doubt she is highly skilled and an excellent practitioner, if you are looking for someone with a more relaxed and measured approach, you may want to look elsewhere.

Suheyla Cavdar: I’ve had a great experience at Laser of Arlington so far! The facility is very clean. They are flexible with scheduling and have lots of availabilities on weekends and weekdays after 5pm (which is helpful since I work). I rarely wait before my appointments. Plus, the location is convenient for me. Everyone is super nice and knowledgeable. They answered all of my questions during the free consultation and let me split the payment into two after my first and second sessions. I’m doing 5 full body hair removal treatments and plan to come again for touch ups and maybe their facials too. It does sometimes get uncomfortable but the specialists always ask if I need a break or cold towel. I saw a huge difference after my first treatment, but the changes between the other sessions are not as noticeable. Overall, I’d say 90% effective. Definitely recommend!

Brooke Godwin: I have been waiting for years to get laser hair removal on my face. After having my appointments cancelled three times due to a “sick technician” I dared not schedule another appointment here. My initial appointment was on a Wednesday at 12:45 which got moved to later that day, at 1:40pm due to a sick technician. At 1pm I received a call that there is another sick technician. I was also told they have two techs who perform the service so I’m assuming they both were sick, but they could fit me in on Friday at 6pm. Which makes no sense at all. On Friday morning I receive a call that another technician is sick, so “can i come in earlier?” I explained to the person on the phone how frustrating this whole experience had been and she told me she felt bad and that I could keep my 6pm appointment. At 4:40 get another call saying that they are canceling my appointment. As a stylist and a person who works in a client based industry. I wouldn’t recommend. This place is not honest and does not value their clients time.

P S: Check-in is automated and easy to use. Wait times were minimal. The office is nice. Be prepared for parking fees in the garage or find street parking. The bedside manner of the doctor could use improvement. Even at a new patient visit, the doctor spent very little time with me and most of it was spent showing me a menu and price-list of treatments I could get. This is expected for a cosmetic practice but I have been to medical spas where they spend more time with you.
Tricia Scanlon: The entire process from initially making the appointment to the actual visit with Jacqueline Bourassa and then the check out were all quite seamless. The team is very welcoming, knowledgeable and just plain old awesome to visit with. I was there for full body scan as a precaution but the amount of options you can address or take advantage of here are abundant. Would highly recommend!!

Shonna Waters: The services themselves are fine but the policies and lack of customer focus are not. After zero warnings on the website when booking, I was told that my appointment was cancelled because the service wasn't with the doctor I normally go to. I chose a dermatological practice rather than an individual in large part due to the flexibility it normally provides - that's true with my general medical practice, my children's pediatric practice, any spa I've been to, and so on. Here I was informed that it's their policy not to allow someone to change even if their normal practitioner is unavailable. When I inquired as to why, they responded "it's our policy and the doctor's preference." They cancelled my appointment and offered to rebook me 2 weeks out. I rebooked with another dermatologist who got me in same day, closer to my house with a higher rating. Policies are necessary, but if they aren't customer-centric, they're going to hurt your business.

Vina O'neal: I don’t even know where to start. I have waited years for technology to catch up and address the needs of black women needing laser treatments for hair removal. After being burnt by lasers ten years ago for chin hair removal and the hair still coming back I gave up. And instead of looking like a billy goat, I had to switch between shaving, waxing and tweezers. My neck had these horrible dark spots and bumps because of it. I was plucking every three days!!!! Madness!!!! I finally found Izalia. Came in for my consultation and they ladies were incredibly warm and friendly. Annette walked me through the process during my consultation and prepared me for what to expect. I was still somewhat skeptical but excited. Summer did my service and it was over in less than 15 minutes with minimal pain. Let me tell YOU! I don’t know what kind of mystical magic they are doing in there but they got it right. My skin was smoother and the bumps started softening. A month later, I went back, same!!!! Four weeks later, which would be today, I am still in what they call the honeymoon phase and not in full bloom!!!! The marks from the bumps are getting lighter. I had to push my appointment another four weeks and that is a great thing because finally, FINALLY something works!!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Service: Laser hair removal

Lexxy Rae: I cannot begin to sing the praises of Izalia enough. I've only received my second treatment so far and already the difference is ASTOUNDING. What used to be very dark coarse hair that would still leave an embarrassing 5'oclock shadow after shaving is already almost just peach fuzz that took two months to grow back. Now even when I do have to shave there's absolutely no way to tell that I have hair growth in that particular area and my skin is even and smooth. I felt robbed that I had to tip for the aesthetician to do a good job, shouldn't it be expected that they will do a good job after paying $3,000? Also the owner who did my laser treatment one time, kept talking about politics and how the election was robbed...taking my business elsewhere with that non-sense. DO NOT RECOMMEND. Mojy's Darlings Child Care, LLC: At Vishka Skin Care Center, I have done things like Eyebrow Treatment, Waxing, Vi Peel, Hair Removal , Skin cares. Without any exaggeration, I can say that they are one of the cleanest and most professional skin care center and spa in the area. Their price is affordable and their quality is very high. Ms. Fay is very careful and good-natured and she has always given me the best advise and services. In addition, her colleagues in this center are also very kind and well-behaved. You will surely be happy and satisfied to visit this center.
Khanh Nguyen: I have gotten five sessions of laser hair removal for my underarms so far. I have significantly fewer hairs growing back and the few that do grow back slowly and thinly. Faye and Haley usually do the sessions for me and they are both very friendly and talkative. They make me feel very comfortable. I normally get to the office 10-15 minutes early and I am in and out very quickly. There is rarely ever a wait. I also really like that they send out email and text reminders about upcoming appointments. It is also convenient that they allow communication about scheduling over text (which is great for those individuals with phone anxiety). I highly recommend, especially for the great deals! Sab Rina: I chose Mi Skin Dermatology Center because I saw online that the doctor was a board certified dermatologist. The consultation was free and I met with a nurse, who told me she would also be doing the procedure. The nurse was great during the consultation and the procedure. I decided on traditional micro needling for face and neck that they charge $850 (thats for ONE individual session, I originally thought that included my first 3 sessions, it does not). I also had to buy a $200 serum. I’m disappointed after the procedure for a few reasons. I never even met the board certified dermatologist, which is the entire reason I went there. I would have loved if she would’ve at least looked at my skin and provided her input. I never received a call from the center to follow up on my healing or to even schedule my next appointment. I called myself multiple times and never received a call back. I’m disappointed in the lack of customer service. I paid $1050 for a 30 minute procedure and no follow up. I might as well have went somewhere else for the same procedure and paid less.

I have had regular annual skin checks, derm abrasion, peels and different laser treatments. For many of these treatments I have had Dr. Issac's technician, Laura helping. Prince Ole: I'll keep it short and sweet. Great experience from beginning til now. Morgan was very open and knowledgeable at my initial meeting. Currently 3 sessions deep with my laser hair removal for my scalp with the amazing Lauren. Also, had a birthday facial done by the amazing Ashley. (highly recommended them both) All the ladies there have great personalities and make it a good time every time. I leave every visit with the same ritual - a bag of gummy bears for the road!

She helped address my concerns, and came up with a routine for me to follow. It has been a month and my face is still maintaining its "glow". Veronica Smart: I can’t say enough about Morgan and everybody in his office! Morgan is professional but makes you feel like a friend. I went in for Coolsculpting. We had a very informative consultation, every question was answered thoroughly and then I came back to have all my areas done in one day! I’m a mom of 3 small kids and work in fitness, my stomach has always been a struggle for bc of all the weight I gained from having babies. After my coolsculpting my stomach is flat and I have so much more confindence!! I highly recommend Morgan and coolsculpting!! On to Ashley, she’s the best! She’s the esthetician. She gave me a wonderful custom facial and worked up a daily face care regiment for me. My skin hasn’t felt this great in years!! I also got my eyebrows laminated by her and it was AMAZING!! I received so many compliments, people ask me all the time for her info! If you don’t know about laminating your eyebrows you need to call ashley ASAP!!! I love every visit to this office, they make me feel like I’m their only client and that I’m a VIP!! Highly recommend!!!

Pamela Vora: I had the pleasure of getting a facial from Ashley in February 2021. The last time I had a facial was October of 2019. I had a lot of concerns with my skin such as milia, dryness, and blackheads. Ashley assessed my skin and recommended a facial that was suitable for my skin type. Ashley was extremely professional and she explained everything she was doing. By the end of my facial my skin looked AMAZING! The milia and blackheads were removed and my skin looked hydrated. I loved the initial facial that I went back to see Ashley in April of 2021. At both appointments Ashley answered all my questions and concerns regarding my face. She also recommended I change my skin care routine as we transitioned from winter to spring. Overall, Ashley was professional, friendly, thorough, and knowledgeable. I highly recommend Ashley!

Jennifer L.: Aesthetic Artistry is the absolute BEST! I went in for a treatment with one of their new machines, CoolTone, and my expectations were far exceeded! Morgan knows what he's talking about when explaining the science behind the machine, and how it works to target your muscles. I have gone in for 4 treatments over the course of 2 weeks and I already see a huge difference in my abs, they look so toned! Not only do I see a difference, but my abs already feel stronger when I am working out!! I can't wait to see my progress after my last 2 treatments. I HIGHLY recommend CoolTone at Aesthetic Artistry, you won't be disappointed!
Kandi JW: Anyone else notice this new thing that “medispas” like Aesthetic artistry do where they harrass you with confirmation emails and texts in the days (weeks even) leading up to your appointment and then abruptly cancel 30 mins before said service…? meanwhile I pay a deposit and agree to a 48 hour cancellation policy for a business that doesn’t respect its clients time enough to honor appointments made far in advance 😒 weird. don’t waste your time on this place. There are too many other options in the DC area and the good reviews are usually fake when a place is as disorganized as this one… If I can block off a facial on my calendar and not cancel it last minute (literally as I’m EN ROUTE to the spa…)—I don’t understand why the folks who work here cannot do the same 🤷🏾♀️ Ok I’m done :/
Barin Jan: If you’re ever looking for an amazing injector Please go see Morgan. I’ve had lip augmentation prior with different surgeons or nurse injectors but this is the best my lips has ever looked and they look natural and plump. I’ve gotten so many compliments. The front office staff is amazing especially Sheila. She provides excellent patient care services and is always making sure the patients are taken care of. I can’t wait to go back for more treatment in the future.

Kelsey Drake: Sechoir is an hour drive from me and I would drive double that and still find it completely worth it. The front staff is so nice, the lobby is fun and welcoming and informative. Great start. Heather was my injector and she was such a great listener and educator and we found exactly what was right for me then and a plan moving forward. Exactly the type of experience you want when you’re messing with your face! 10/10 would recommend. My lips look phenomenal already!

Zain Alimam: The staff are all Friendly and welcoming. The staff were very knowledgeable. The manager Dina was very accommodating and helpful. She kept me informed on their products and services as I wasn’t sure what to go for. She checking on me to make sure I was comfortable. They showed professional etiquette throughout my visit and the person who took care of me was Amy, I highly recommend her if it’s your first time. I’ll definitely be coming back again in the future

Once I arrived I was a bit nervous, but when I talked to Vida she made sure to throughly explain everything, and answer all the questions I had. I was amazed at how gentle and pain-free she applied the fillers! She made sure from the second I arrived to when I left that I was happy and comfortable. I left with beautiful natural looking lips! Maddy Hay: I got my nails done with Vanessa at Sechoir in October and I had an amazing experience. I had trouble finding a good nail salon in northern Virginia and my nails were damaged from SNS dip. She gave me polygel tips and I'm in love with how they look and they didn't scrape my nail beds off! She was quick, professional and I've gotten so many compliments on my new set of nails. This is a photo of my nails a week out and they still look perfect. I'm coming back soon!

briana stephan: I have been here several times for lip augmentation with Vida. The staff and atmosphere are all very welcoming and Vida is absolutely the best. She treats you with respect and you can tell she is personally interested/vested in you being as satisfied as possible with whatever service you are receiving. I highly recommend having at least a consultation done if you are considering any of the services that they provide. You won't regret it!

Tori Doby: As a Lifestyle Content Host, I heard about Sechoir and decided to give it a try. About an hour after making my appointment, I called to reschedule due to a conflict. During my conversation with the associate, she unenthusiastically informed me I would be charged "$50 if I rescheduled again." This is a first EVER, and I've been to many Dermatology and Wellness Centers in the DMV and across the country. Haven't had my appointment yet as I just made it but hopefully, the appointment will go better than my booking! Update *** My appointment with Sechoir was great. Vita (not sure if I’m spelling her name correctly) was patient and understanding. She explained every procedure to my satisfaction. I arrived about 10 minutes late and the entire staff was understanding and patient. Will visit again!

I normally don’t do reviews but I’m doing it this time because I’m not just happy with the staff and salon overall, I’m happy that the results were more than what I expected. Vanessa who is the only person who does Polly Gel manicure was amazing. A truly artist and professionalism. She is very careful, I did not feel any discomfort the whole time it took to do my nails. She was training another nice lady that seemed to enjoyed it and learning so much from her. She was just absolutely amazing and I will recommend her to everyone that I know to come see her at Sechoir . This salon is clean, chic and super nice to everyone. Love it!
