Dawn H: I guess I didn't get as lucky as the rest of the people with high ratings. My experience was good at first. The agent got me a temp position and provided me with the start date. I received an email stating they no longer need me for the position the day before I start! I only received an email about this after I emailed the agent submitting the requested documentation. I should have gotten a phone call as well to make sure I received the message. To me that was unprofessional she apologized and said she would find something shortly due to the company deciding last minute they no longer need me to cover but haven't heard anything since. This is my first time experiencing this with an agency.

PDK International: We have had a great experience using Whitman Associates for our temporary and temporary to permanent staffing needs. The staff, and especially Julie there is very flexible in attending to our needs, responsive and will work with you to solve the inevitable conundrum. We have asked four temps become full time out of almost 10 temps in the past few years and while there will always be a temp that doesn't work out it was never because of Whitman. The rates are good, the temp to hire fees are reasonable and more so, the waiving of the fees for the requisite number of hours are reasonable as well.

Victor Pattianakotta: Hands down, Whitman Associates is one of the best staffing agencies, if not the best, in Washington, DC. I had never used a staffing agency before, and this was a pleasant experience. I found Whitman online late last year and decided to use their service after not being able to find a job on my own. Julie and her team were very helpful, responsive, and professional. After sending my resume to Whitman, I received a call for an interview with them a few days later. During this job search process, they called me about several positions that matched with my qualifications. Tony: While Randstad is a large company, local matters. I was able to get a placement at the National Academy of Sciences quickly through their Alexandria, VA office. I had opportunities to temp throughout The Academies and eventually was hired full time. Ms. Debra Campbell was the recruiter and a great motivator for success!

Dawn Johnson: I’ve been employed with The Midtown Group since February 2021. I was immediately placed in an assignment upon interviewing with my recruiter! The thing that influenced my decision to pursue this agency is that it’s a small owned woman business! I’ve worked with many larger staffing agencies where you’re just another employee and they barely know your name. The responsiveness and professionalism I’ve encountered from my recruiter Molly as well as the care consultant Gena have been top notch!

Sue Moreno: I started working on a project for The Mid Town Group in mid May as a call agent. The staff is very professional and friendly. The staff is prompt to help with any issues that come up during on boarding. Training was fun and I learned quite a bit of new information. Pay is competitive and they are up to date with today’s technology. I would recommend them as an employer. I have enjoyed working with them thus far.

Brittany Golding: I can say that I am extremely appreciative of the Midtown Group. I have been working my temp job since August and I love it. It makes me a bit sad that it is a grant contract and we are coming near to the end but I gained experience and met incredible people along the way. Jacqueline Fuller: This agency is not as good as it used to be a few years ago. I applied for contract work and had virtual meetings with two of their recruiters that did not follow up. Recently, I had two recruiters contact me and one scheduled a meeting. The recruiter did not follow through with the meeting information. I followed up about it and then sent another email to withdraw my application. It is very unfortunate that their customer service is awful now and has not improved.

Dana L.: I would not recommend this agency for employment. They are very unorganized and will give you incorrect information when they find an assignment for you. For example, I was told over the phone to report to an assignment at 9:30am which I did. I was on time. When I get to the assignment, the organization they sent me to is livid and tells me I'm late! They said I was supposed to be there at 9:00am! Clearly, Robert Half has a communication problem with their clients and the only person who it affected was me. I was working on an assignment for over 5 months when I got the news that my father unexpectedly passed away. This is when I was working from home due to Covid. I had to immediately leave DC to plan my father's funeral and deal with his estate....all on my own. I offered to bring the laptop I was using to work from home back to the office, rather than sending it back (at my own expense - as they suggested). They refused my offer so I let them know I needed to leave DC to deal with my father's death and would return the laptop when I was back in town. They then threated to file a police report on me over a laptop I offered to return right away before I had to leave town. Imagine having a family member pass away and being threatened with legal action and the police by a company you're working for. Even after they knew my circumstances, they showed zero compassion. Not to mention, they are completely unorganized. I wouldn't waste my time here.

I was sent the wrong info for an assignment and you have to constantly call them or email just to get a response. I withdrew from them immediately. Look at the reviews before you work with company. london queen: The worst company ever to work with, they don’t care about they’re employees they only care that you slave for them. The girl Aisha is very rude, doesn’t communicate effectively since interviewing with them their hiring process was off everybody giving out different information, then blaming you for being mislead. the school I worked for had carona virus they asked why I still didn’t show. Ben is also nasty and has been off this whole time, he gives misleading information and blames you as well. This whole process of working with them is a waste of time .. don’t waste your time know your worth and jus apply directly.

Patrick Bell: Not a very good place to work. If you need a quick in-between job for a few weeks then yes. They don't care about their staff. It is better to just apply to the schools, daycare, nursing facilities, ect on your own. Communication is horrible. Money isn't worth it. They will lie when it is beneficial for their needs. Definitely the worst place that I have ever worked. I do not recommend. I had no recruiter for months and was never informed that my previous recruiter was no longer with the company. Once I applied for unemployment since I they were no jobs offers coming my way, they sent a spam email to make me ineligible for unemployment. Even though phone has been my primary source on communication. They are very shady.

Jilltraci King: Three months ago I was unemployed and in need of a job. I put my Resume on Indeed and I was called in for in Interview. My experience with Align Staffing is great. Once I passed the interview and completed the hiring process within a week I was working. The first day I was put on an assignment that allowed my experience along with my personality to shine. There on I have been dedicated to my assigned assignment. When there are issues my recruiter Tyree resolves it in a timely manner or if there are any questions that needed to be answered he answered it or he directed you to the appropriate person. I have recommended people that are qualified to my recruiter and will continue to do so.

Alexandra Borden: I applied to be a temp through this agency in the summer of 2019. I had several e-mail conversations with the recruiter, and went in with the documentation necessary. My recruiter was Calvin Brown. After having a meeting with Mr. Brown I was told to wait in the lobby to continue processing paperwork. Mr. Brown left the area and I sat and waited for the receptionist or someone to give me directions. Mr. Brown came back around the corner, whispers something to the receptionist while shaking his head "no", and leaves again. Then the receptionist tells me I can leave and I never heard from them again. Ridiculous.

Frankie Galvan: I have to say that Catherine Mitchell is a Godsend. I relocated to the DC area in September and posted my resume on DCJobs. The next day I get a call from Catherine who really took to the time to understand what I was looking for in my career. She also took to the time to make sure I was prepared for my interviews and would follow up regularly. Less than a month later, I was able to secure a position that was exactly what I was looking for. She was a joy to work with and I honestly cannot thank her enough.

A Jenkins (Everythang LiLi): Long story. After 10 years with this company as an exceptional talent. This client was new to them and had an high turnover rate with this position. One clients viewpoint caused me to have bad mark on my record with NRI. This was conflicting info of what the client told me. I called agency to ask why I had a bad remark. I felt it was one sided. I talk to the VP and let her know all I went through but that didn't change anything.

Charisse Bland: I have worked with NRI on and off since 2014, and I have ALWAYS been satisfied with the jobs and with the staff. Kristianna Tyler went above and beyond for me. Whenever I hear someone complaining about their job or not having a job, NRI is the one Staffing Company that I refer them to, they are amazing.

Philip Brown: I used Lucas Group to get a job after leaving the Navy. I've never tried to get a job before and I had no personal network to try to find jobs. Lucas Group got me over 30 interviews for great jobs. I ended up going to 3 onsite interviews and finished with 2 job offers that I was very happy with. I'm really excited to land the job that I did and the interview experience I got along the way was invaluable. Meanwhile, I didn't pay Lucas Group anything. and I got a lot of personal attention from Lee Cohen specifically and his team. In addition, Lucas Group didn't restrict me from looking for jobs through any other resource. I can't recommend Lucas Group highly enough.

I continue to receive letter of interference of personal life from them. Which kepts stating that I have to speak to someone downtown at building 441. Frankly I'm really tired of it. This group made me pay a Company ChartWell Thompson a Subsidiary of Compass Group. The amount made me laugh but than I became angry, The "ChartWell" left DC public in 2016 and ready leave 2015 base upond a Law Suit the Lost for Unfair Labor Practice. They had me paying for over payment 2011 to a company that Left 2016 . My best when speaking any of them is go Downtown first and come back and say nothing to them.

Thomas J Horner lll: I placed over 300 application for a job and received No enter views at all and to make matters worst,they place in court twice. Then they penalize me for over payment. Ada Marie: I was contacted about a job three weeks ago and was sent an email . I responded and got the same email over and over. Nothing further just the same email. I asked if we could set up a zoom call rather than a direct line because my phone had broken and the guy will not listen to what I'm trying to say and he has done nothing but ignore me. I have worked with Aerotek before and they have NEVER been this rude before.

Sasha Hays: I wish I could give 10 stars! Above all else, I appreciate that my recruiter, Luis S. was extremely responsive. There was not a day were I was left confused about the process. He updated me with new information about what was going on each day, and got me a job that matches my credentials in little to no time. I would definitely recommend this company for people who have backgrounds in specific fields and have specific career interests! Luis was extremely attentive to detail about finding me a job that matches with my background.

I was seeking a Design and Construction Owner's Representative position in the DC metro area after 16 years at my previous firm. Josh is an excellent communicator who lined up some interviews for me with some great firms. I'm about to start a contract to permanent hire position and could not be more excited. Josh is there every step of the way; he's highly organized, personable, and a real asset to Aerotek. I highly recommend both Aerotek and Josh.

Martina Braswell: My recruiter was very unprofessional. I applied for a job online and she made me come in for an “interview” just to tell me “hey this isn’t an interview for a position I just want to tell you about the company and what we do.” Mind you she said that multiple times. She was also about 30 minutes late. She also told me to bring in a copy of my resume only for her to already have a copy on hand. Are you kidding me? A complete waste of time. She then tells me I am not qualified for the position I applied for but she would get back to me if there were other positions I qualified for and I could also reach out to her if I see something I might be interested in. If I wasn’t qualified for the position and if there weren’t any positions open that I qualify for, why have me come in? I didn’t apply for a job online for history on a company! Since then I have seen some positions that I believe I qualify for and have emailed her and called her numerous of times about the positions but she has never responded to my calls or emails. What was her problem? That is very unprofessional! What kind of business are you running? Never again. This behavior seems to be pattern with “recruiting agencies.” I have yet to have any success. I need to make sure I’m not applying through a recruiting agency when applying for jobs online. When applying for the job I had no idea Aerotek was a recruiting agency. Aerotek needs to hire better recruiters. Recruiters that are actually here to get people employed not waist peoples time and have them come in just to make it look like they’re doing their job.

Mehrifuruzon: Some of the recruiters are not professional in this company. My husband was hired by Aerotek in 2019, his contract finished with Virginia Hospital. After some back and forth emailing with Daniel Sullivan, he just stopped replying to our emails. He didn't want to find any new positions for my husband, nor professionally reply to our emails. What a joke? Stuffing company? They should be after people to fill in positions and make business. My husband went to another stuffing company and found a job.

Stephen Haas: The Washington DC recruiting office excels in recruiting and I am very grateful to have had Senior Chief Simonetti and Chief Pereira to assist in compiling my packet for OCS. Chief Pereira was my primary contact. While she was on training and leave, Senior Chief Simonetti took over and maintained a personal interest in seeing my packet through submission. Both individuals made themselves accessible and answered every question throughout the process, whether that was through the phone, email, or an office appointment. Senior Chief Simonetti and Chief Pereira made the process enjoyable. The clarity of the operation made it both seamless and enjoyable. I strengthened both my knowledge about the branch and motivation to join. During my recruitment, I moved to a different state. Senior Chief Simonetti and Chief Pereira both ensured the recruitment process was smooth as All of my documents, MEPs, and Interviews were coordinated from afar. Bree Oakley: I decided to join the coast guard about a year ago. I was nervous at first to talk to a recruiter because of previous experiences with recruiters from a different branch. Senior Chief Simonetti was super nice and was always willing to answer the numerous amount of questions I had. She put me in contact with another applicant and we went to MEPS together which made the process less stressful and more exciting. She also put me in contact with someone who is currently in the rate I want to pursue to learn more about it which I am grateful for. To anyone in the area and interested in joining the coast guard, I recommend talking to Senior Chief Simonetti.

Matthew McGlynn: I applied for the Coast Guard’s SRDC program with the help of Senior Chief Simonetti at the Washington DC Coast Guard Recruiting Office. She quickly furnished me with all of the information that I needed to develop my application for the program. Senior Chief Simonetti would regularly work after normal business hours to answer my questions over the phone and respond to emails related to my application. She ensured that I met every deadline and helped me avoid anticipated administrative road blocks. I could not have asked for a better advocate in a recruiting office. Senior Chief Simonetti embodies every trait that one would want in a recruiter and her devotion to her job is evident in her work. For the record, I tried applying to the same program 6 years ago but never got my application off the ground because I did not have the support and guidance that Senior Chief Simonetti provided. Because of her, I will be attending Officer Candidate School.

Kate Downs: Senior Chief Simonetti has been an invaluable resource over the last year. in helping me navigate my interservice transfer during a pandemic. Communication and accessibility are more important now than ever without the ability to meet in person and Senior Chief is outstanding in this capacity. She is quick to respond, and quick to find out answers if she doesn't have them. I know the burden on her is high, and she deals with it flawlessly. I cannot recommend her high enough.

Adeeb Ahmad: Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful during all my interactions with them. 2015: Initial CG enlistment I was in DC on temporary assignment when I started my enlistment paperwork. The transition was very easy when I had to continue my application out of state. 2019: First OCS application The staff was amazing. This was right around when COVID started picking up and meetings turned to phone calls/emails. The recruiters were very clear and answered all of my questions. 2020: Second OCS application Senior Chief Simonetti, the recruiter-in-charge, was very knowledgeable and professional. She kept lines of communication open despite COVID restrictions and personnel transfers. Overall, this recruiting office exceeded my expectations. If you’re a highly motivated individual who’s considering military service, active or reserves, I highly recommend reaching out to the DC recruiting office.

Zena Suzuki: My process was super quick and easy with Senior Chief Simonetti. As soon as I told her that this is what I wanted to pursue and was no longer on the fence about it, she sent me papers I needed to sign and processed them as soon as she could to get my process rolling. Now four months later, I’ve completed my physical and medical and have DEPPED, anticipating my ship date in a month and she still helps me. Every question I’ve asked she’s answered or gotten an answer in a timely manner. Unlike other recruiters I’ve met for other branches, I’ve never felt like she was pushing me to do one thing or another. She went by what I wanted, and for that I’m beyond grateful for, which if you’re like me a single comment can make you completely reconsider everything. She also took into consideration how I felt almost alone during this process, as USCG is a small branch, and she put me into contact with one of her other recruits. Going through MEPS with someone you knew beforehand really helped my nerves. If you reside in the DMV area and are looking at the USCG as your next path in life, definitely go here and talk to Senior Chief Simonetti. She made my process extremely smooth and kept me at ease the whole way through.

Helina Daniel: An extremely kind, professional, and accommodating team. I worked with Senior Chief Simonetti who went out of her way to ensure my application package moved along despite COVID-19 delays. It made the process a lot less daunting, and now that I have completed the process I can now look forward to starting my career with USCG!

Josh Carter: I began my USCG Journey here in september of 2019, and was incredibly new to the whole recruitment process, and to be completely honest, quite nervous too! Having already met with recruiters from other branches closer to my home, I felt a little bit out of place in a recruitment office, almost as if the other recruiters from other branches were giving me a job offer, but saying this is what you're gonna get, take it or leave it. Well, not here! I had the pleasure of calling SKCS Simonetti my recruiter, and could not have asked for a better one! Me and my family had TONS of questions, many of which were seemingly repetitive or menial, but regardless, SKCS always answered clearly and concisely, really elucidating the whole process for me, making my introduction into this great force easier and easier with each passing query. As I write this from my first (also my dream posting in the USCG) posting, I cant help but look back at how this recruitment office changed my life, and how much of a help SKCS was! sidney paul: Has to be the worse government agency when it comes to following up. Made a fax request over a year and half ago for information about my former employment with the Federal Government and yet to get an answer. Furthermore, called the Call Center and took the option to get a call back after allegedly being told I was going to have a place in line on their cue but never received a call back. Good luck getting help.

Tori Doby: When you call OPM, and WHEN you get through, it will automatically tell you to call your agency's benefits department for further assistance. Which in turn, means little assistance. Good luck.

Kevin Boone: I am my 92 yr old aunt's power of atty. She's a U.S. Library of Congress retiree for whom I have tried a gazillion times (an underestimate) to get information on her Fed. Retiree ID number, health and life insurance plans, and W-2 Income statements...but no one answers the phone, the voice mail is of no value, and the OPM online information inquiry I wrote isn't accepted. Since August I've tried getting my congressman's office to intervene, to no avail, and it's now the middle of October 2021.Maybe someone can respond and point me in the right direction, as this shouldn't be happening. PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Tiffany Emmons: Okay, I’m only giving this rating 5 stars because I want everyone to know how to get through to OPM. When you call, you WILL get a busy signal or message telling you to call back. Immediately hang up and hit redial. And keep doing this until you hear, “Thank you for calling OPM” This has worked for me without fail every time and it hasn’t taken longer than a minute to get through. Do this. It really works.

Diona Bidwell: How can you contact the office if they do not have a working phone number. Unusual call volume and hang up has been going on for 8 months!

Twila Rawlings: Answer the phone and help me. Months of someone stealing my retirement funds. I have a court ordered retirement settlement. OPM is in contempt of court. Now answer the phone so I can make an appointment. The office is open to public. Why is security sending me away!!!!

imam bey: I have been trying to contact them, every time I dial up customer service number always saying that line is busy call back later.It purpose suppose to serve the public. The worst service.

Ging Spiotto: Phone is always busy. We have one dependent and now dropped out because of age. I was advised to send a letter but until now 3 months no response and still taking the full premium of $650.00 a month for Medical insurance premium. Very poor customer service. Very poor……

J A Zambelli: Agreed with all above. You can get past the busy signal, by recalling immediately and immediately again until you finally get a ring. Then after many commercials, you finally get the call center person--a different one every call. If you have a good sob story, the call center person will "escalate" your call. That means notify the supervisor of your call. Not that you talk to the supervisor or receive any response. Mailing info does not work as "it takes 30 days for things from the mailroom." Quote from call center. So far 4 faxes, including two marked MEDICAL EMERGENCY, have received no resonse. We have been attepting to get proof of Health insuance since January when we changed policies. Each person we spoke said "You have insuance" They look in their computer. Recently, the young women even said after 4 months "You have insuance, you are paying premium, this is an easy fix" Of it is, OPM just needs to resend the enrollment information to the company which has had no record of his name, SS#, or birthdate. So I am sending, by fax, the thousands of dollars of medical bills AND informing each medical biller that OPM has all the insurance information. Might as well notify the health insurance company as well. That will, at least give 10 or 20 other people that OPM does not do anything. AND every correspondance must contain the retirees NAME, CSA # on very page, current OPM ADDRESS OF THE RETIREE, and BIRTHDATE or "they just toss the paper" Despite learning this after 3 months, I have never heard anything. "Let me check and see if the case has been assigned" Of course it never has. So despite all this useful information, I have no responses either.

Electrick Flame: It's been a year since my divorce and I have yet to hear from anyone as well as even talking to someone! I even sent off a complete package with all sorts of documents and I don't even know if its been received yet. Fortunately I live within range of this organization, so I think I will venture forward to D.C. and attempt a face to face interaction and see if anyone even works there or see if its outsourced to China or India! this will cost me time and money I don't have to waste on something a email or phone call could easily remedy! Sad!!!

Rebecca Staniewicz: I would give this negative stars if I could. I have unfortunately been deal the Baltimore Office of DOL. In over 15 months of trying to get them to do their job, I have received no responses, no correspondence, and every employee has tried to get out of doing their job by trying to pass me off to another agency who doesn't even cover this realm of jurisdiction. I have met many minimum wage fast food workers who have a much better work ethic than this lot. Not sure why this agency is even here for all the good they do.

Robert m: Waste of Tax Payers money Held my complaint for 2 year and Turn my complaint in to incorrect statement for a way not to help me, BEWARE Best To File with the Federal Court you stand a much better change with a Judge, if the court ask you to file with this agency first tell court you want to File Motion to waiver filing with this agency

Sam Odle: This six story office building, named after the first female cabinet secretary, offers amazing views from the 6th floor (outside the cafeteria) and contains a post office, a library, dry cleaners, and a gym. However it’s not open to the public so you need to know someone who works there to get in.

Jamilah Jones: Called the DOL Labor Standards for help on harassment of Muslim workers in the workplace. Nobody was able to assist. Seems they lack cultural sensitivity in dealing with minority groups. The Department of Labor is conspicuously absent when Muslim workers are facing labor violations in several industries.

Sett: If you have anything that is being managed this is the place to go for government help in mismanagement. If it's an emergency they can mismanage you in an expedited manner for a small one time fee of 2000% of normal mismanagement prices.

Susan O'Leary: Not a happy experience at all. Staff have tried to assist me, but owing to scammers my grant has been held up. Also I have paid out USD 17K in order to get the monies due to me. This is money I need to pay bills (urgent) and medical expenses for me and my son, who has Asperger's Syndrome. I do a lot of work for charity locally e.g. Can Assist ( financial support for people living in the Blue Mtns NSW who are currently receiving treatment for cancer); sing in two local choirs to raise funds for Can Assist and Refugee Support, as well as volunteering at local historical society (BMHS). These are people and causes who all need, and have been promised my help. I have kidney failure, partial deafness in left ear, have had two hip replacements (right side) and have chronic bronchial asthma as well. I cannot afford to pay out any more monies for delivery of my wins. In short, my situation is desperate.
