John Sikking: STAY AWAY!! Ordered 20 folding chairs for delivery, called and tried to confirm because the internet process is sketchy (either pay by check - as in give your ban account information or have cash ready). Couldn't get in touch at anytime that day (never picked up the phone). I drove out to Hyattsville, as I assumed they were not going to deliver. Arrived and got the "We're sorry were all rented out". In the two week prior they never thought to call. My bad, I was desperate for the chairs, should have known better. At least I only spent my time and not my dollars as well. Will not use again - I wouldn't even direct an enemy to them.

Bryanna Green: The one star is a lucky star! I used to love renting from USA Party Rental, but this experience has greatly changed my perception of the business. Communication with the company is nonexistent. When you call the office, you are redirected to the website or email with the option to leave a voicemail. However, they do not reply to any of the above. After 20 attempts over 3 weeks, I finally received a call after stating I will not pay until my order was corrected. During the phone call (which was only 2 days before the rental), the delivery time was confirmed verbally. The order was needed by 1 PM, and I was reassured by Paola that I would have it well before then. In addition, the website also states that deliveries are made between 8 AM and 1 PM. I left the conversation feeling reassured that everything was in place. The day of delivery arrives, and the order is still not at the location less than 3 hours before the event. Because the phone does not connect you to a person, I had to drive to the location for an update. The employees looked confused when I approached them about the order, and they contacted Paola. She proceeded to tell me that the order was out for delivery, and the gentleman in the shop will be able to provide an update. The order was not out for delivery but still sitting in the warehouse. I was informed the order would be delivered 30 minutes before the event because the delivery window in between 8 AM and 7 PM. This was not discussed during the call just 2 days prior where I was reassured the order would be delivered by 1 PM. With the news of how soon the event started, the gentleman started preparing the order and delivered it one hour before the start of the event. Now, the order is still sitting at the venue, and I cannot get in contact with anyone to pick it up. Moreover, the next day of operation is a week away. The customer service leaves very little to be desired! There was no remorse or compensation for the lack of communication, inconvenience of having to visit the warehouse, or delay in delivery. I would not recommend renting from them!

Remembered Events: While the minimum for delivery is high, the products are fabulous. We did rent our own UHAUL to make this delivery but totally worth it. Maria Sanchez: We knew we wanted to work with Something Vintage from the moment we visited their website. They had a bit of everything for everyone. While browsing online was great nothing compared to the service we received after we visited their warehouse. It completely shifted our plans and had our imagination running wild. We worked with Lauren who not only made a few recommendations but also went above and beyond when our plans shifted because of covid. Our wedding venue closed during the pandemic and had no set reopening date. It also turned out we were able to buy our first home during all of this and so our plans shifted to having the wedding at our home. We opted to have a kitchen extension and well by the time our wedding month came around we were still under construction. This is when the something vintage team really came into play. I emailed them a picture of the area I wanted to conceal with one of their green walls but wasn’t sure how to go about it. They took care of it. They even emailed us days before to assure us they were working on a plan and doing some test trials. Our wedding felt like we were living a dream. Not once did it feel like our home was under construction. We felt at peace because our backyard was completely furnished with the most decadent couches, tables, bar and signs. We didn’t have to do a thing. The something vintage staff handled it all. They came in with rentals that morning and just like that were gone. We miss all the rentals because our backyard will never be the same again. We are so thankful to Lauren and all of the something vintage team for handling our last minute challenge and for making our backyard a dream for our wedding day.

Leah Freeman: Cannot say enough good things about this company! They worked with my husband and I as we navigated event changes throughout the pandemic and never hesitated to be flexible and work with us. Truly, the best vendor experience we had during this hectic time!

Joe Fendrich: I see a lot of good reviews about Jason - too bad we didn't have the pleasure of meeting/working with him. My wife's experience: I called on June 8th inquiring about 90x156 white rectangular table linens. The gentleman told me they had over 100 available for June 12th, but I would have to pick them up due to delivery being unavailable. No problem - I can pick up. Gentleman told me it was $28 per linen because it included the cleaning fee. Highest price in the area, but the only place who had them available, so I called back and requested for him to send me the agreement/invoice. I gave him my name and my email address - which has my name - and he said he would send it. Next day, no email. So I call back and he said "sorry, my email has been giving me problems, I'll have my coworker send it right now." Okay, great. HOURS later and now it's almost 4:30, their closing time, and still no email. So I call again. The lady discovers that he spelled my name and email address wrong. So she sends it. I read through and called again the next day to go over all the extra fees and how to move forward with payment... since it was clear no one was going to follow up with me since they're short staffed, according to the lady who answered. She also disclosed that the first gentleman I spoke to did send the email - but he told me he was having email issues? So really, the most logical thing would have been to confirm my email address when I called him back after not receiving the agreement/invoice the first time. They have a high CC surcharge, non-refundable damage fees, and charge 7% tax as opposed to all the other rental places that only charge 6% AND give you your damage deposit back once products are returned and checked. I guess they don't know what Shout is for stains (but I'm paying to have the linens cleaned upon return already?) or thought that I was going to take shears to the linens because it was made clear to me that I wasn't getting my damage fee back. After discussing the surcharge, I was told I had the option to wire money. Being able to wire transfer with no additional fee, I went that route. My mother in law picked up the linens on my behalf on the 11th for the event on the 12th. To my dismay, they were oblong rounded white linens. I asked for rectangular, but I guess I should have disclosed that I was expecting the linens to have 4 corners at 90 degree angles, or the salesman could have disclosed that all their "rectangular" linens are oblong and rounded. I called them immediately regarding the issue; the number sent me to a recording because their office was closed. The linens did not work for what I needed nor were they what I requested - I ended up safety pinning to try to make them 90 degree corners. This of course took far too long so I was not able to use half the linens I rented. Upon returning, the lady just kept questioning what I meant by rectangular... not sure how 4 corners and 90 degree angles can get any more simplified. She gets the Manager, Salem, who apologizes and tells me that all of their linens are like that since new ownership. (Fine - but it wasn't disclosed to me when I put in my request for rectangular.) So, I discussed a refund for 6 linens. I paid for 14, intentionally paying for 2 extras in case of spills, but only wanted a refund for 6 out of the 8 unused. He told me he would refund me the 6 but did not know how to do the wire transfer back and his accounting manager wasn't in; so he took my information and told me he'd call me the next day, June 15th. Never got a call. Let a day go by and called them - accounting manager didn't answer so I left a message. Waited for a return call and didn't get one. Called again, no answer. Called again and spoke to sales, who forwarded me to her voicemail. Called again because I wasn't leaving another voicemail; sales sends me to Salem, who is there, but also doesn't answer, so I left him a voicemail. NO RETURN CALL. NO FOLLOW UP. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. It's now June 30th and I have yet to hear back... go figure.

JT G: Got the job done in a hurry but the salesperson never confirmed what I asked for (granted I should have looked) but considering this is their business you might want to check the order is straight before leaving the showroom. 2 table cloths I asked for were left off and that could had been avoided if the company check-out process was tighter. When I noticed the error in the back pick up area they couldn't help me out they told me I had to go all the way back to the showroom (even though there is an office back there) inefficient process, again.

Rebecca Kaniss: We used CPR for my sister's wedding. The initial process was seamless. As it drew closer to the event it became quite hard to get in contact with anyone other than the receptionist. As a planner, I prefer to be in some sort of communication with my vendor as various questions/changes come up. Our first issue was the size of the tent. In hindsight we needed to have someone come onsite before we selected the tent size. DEFINITLY HAVE A SITE VISIT TO START!!! Once that finally happened (months later), we had to make changes. We were accommodated but it was stressful not hearing what the end result would be until 3 weeks out; meanwhile we had started to contact other tent companies for fear of not having a tent. CPR became more accessible the days drawing up to the wedding. We still didn't receive our napkins but were able to scrounge some paper ones for the reception. Not ideal but it worked. Lastly, I paid extra to have the tent put up in the morning before our rehearsal dinner. Luckily I did, as it took the small crew they sent 8 hours to get the tent erected! Plan accordingly. Also, make sure you have the right size tables. Our tables ended up being too narrow so we had to change the entire configuration right before, which in turn caused us to order additional linens because the sizing was off. Make sure you are aware of your table sizing and as someone not in the industry, what that sizing actually means for table seating and room for centerpieces. For anyone looking to use CPR, things will work out in the end, but if you are a planner like myself, understand that there will be no communication for several months leading up to the big day. It will work out though, you just may be stressed for a few months.

Maya Byrne: My husband and I used Capital Party Rentals for our wedding held on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at the Carnegie Institute in Washington, D.C, as they came recommended to us by our caterer. Outside of 5’ and 6’ rounds and 5’, 6’, and 8’ rectangular tables that the Carnegie offered, we needed to rent all other items which included: Chavari Chairs, Linens, High Top Round Tables, Glassware, China and Flatware. Pros • Aisha who was our liaison at CPR was very friendly, responsive, and patient with all my e-mails • Flexible and accommodating to changes in our order • All items were delivered to the venue the day prior to the event and were picked up at the conclusion of the reception without issue • Large selection of glassware, china, flatware, chairs, linens, etc. to choose from (all on display at the Dulles showroom) Cons • All available products and pricing not available online (planned our wedding from NYC thus e-mail communication and online browsing was critical) • Having selected our linens 13 months in advance, I received a call the week of the wedding that 2 were damaged and they were unable to replace them. After going to the Dulles location and selecting a new ones, there was an issue with those. Although it was very frustrating going back and forth on something I planned well in advance Aisha was apologetic and gave us a discount on the replacement linens. As a super organized bride I was happy with our overall experience with CPR. However, if I was not so meticulous with my review of the order or did not create a floor plan showing exactly where everything belonged (and tying it to the order) I’m not sure if it would have been as good of an experience. I just caution brides to take initiative and review everything to make sure the order is correct and you have everything you need as you will be the only person to catch a mistake! Lastly, be sure to ask about ALL costs (delivery, fuel surcharge, setup, etc.) as these can really add up and break a budget!

Sarah Anderson: These guys are great. We rented A/V for an event we were doing at the Gaylord National Harbor and our exhibit house sent the wrong booth. The equipment we originally rented was too small for our larger layout. Our onsite tech came up with a video wall configuration that would fit and be supported by our wall and they had the equipment to the booth within an hour. I use AVR Expos across the country and I highly recommend them. If your are looking for a company that cares and delivers exactly what you expect these are your guys!

David Sullivan: I’d give zero stars if I could. We were having 30 people over for Thanksgiving. They were supposed to deliver tables,chairs,linens and glasses on Tuesday or Wednesday before Thanksgiving but they never showed up. We tried getting ahold of them all day Wednesday but no one answered. They never even called to apologize. Would not recommend this place to anybody.

Their prices are very reasonable, our orders are saved from year to year which makes reordering a breeze, and the customer service is always on point. Would highly recommend.

Sue Faucette: I rented a boomlift from Grand Rental and the manager was awesome. He advised me on the workings of the lift and did a great job explaining how the machine worked. He even made himself accessible by phone if there were any questions, and I did end up having to call him. I was a little late returning the lift but he worked with me on that as well. The machine operated just like he said it would and made my task of trimming the tree much easier.

Kirsten M: Staff/ Customer service was fantastic from the person creating my event order to the staff delivering - 5 stars. 1 star for the actual rental items. Unfortunately the items I rented had a lot of wear and tear - way beyond what one would expect. Wooden chairs were all scraped up, paint chipped off, some wood was split in places. White linen was a burnt yellowish. To their credit, when I called, they rectified it and gave me upgraded chiviari chairs. They were much nicer but were still tired looking. When I placed the white linens on the table, one of them had terrible stains down the center of it. Hopefully it was because I had a small event and placed the order with just a few weeks notice.

H Cupp: Staff was friendly and helpful. Although the tables and chairs are dated, they are still very much usable, we also got the linens to cover them with. I would use them again.

Sally Gallena: We hosted an engagement party at our home and used Rentals to Remember for tables, chairs, linens, and dishes. It was a wonderful experience. We had an initial vision, and Chris Yapur took our ideas and ran with them. He went above and beyond to make it a memorable occasion. Drop off and pick up was seamless. Definitely 5 stars!

She is very organized with binders of different fabrics to help you choose what you want. Once you have picked different options, she actually dresses up a table so that you can see what it will look like! We ended up going with something completely different than what we originally thought! Highly recommend!

Common Scents: I am so happy with this place!!! We had ordered 40 chairs and 5 tables from them for my wedding with very short notice and they did everything they could to make sure I got what I needed and even picked them up for me when I couldn’t get a truck to get them back with very little notice. No attitude no issue was super nice to us . The girl also told us about other services they offer for holidays . I will absolutely be using this company again

Madeline Gentile: We rented beautiful gold chivari chairs for our wedding. They gave it a beautiful elegant vibe. We also were able to rent some pretty shimmery tablecloths for our sweetheart table and cake table. It really elevated our wedding!

Audrey Lester: Blind Customer: I increased shopping here during pandemic, as it’s in my community. On nearly all visits, I’m greeted at front door by a very knowledgeable staff member. I love how they know where every item is specifically located - like really! Upon entry, you’re on main isle. To your left are short isles leading to registers. Staff always escort me through store or to elevator where I’m met by another team member on lower level. Ayesha, General Manager, allows items to be opened for me when possible so I can feel item. I especially love their text message lime where consumers can ask questions before visiting store. Great Team!

Stephanie Sneary: Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. The store often carries products you can’t find at larger stores— for instance I recently had need for a shorter length of 14/2 electrical wire that I found here.

koura Gibson: Disappointed to be rudely treated for “walking into store” before opening. The door was wide opened and I entered only to be charged aggressively by the 3 attending employees, shouting for me to exit. I had to calm them down of their excitement to reprimand me for entering the store. There was no indication that the store was not opened. No hours were posted ether. Then the older guy rudely and aggressively closed the door as I exited. He then snarkly stated “I guess!” When informing him that 8:00 was in 14 minutes. It was really disappointing to have to endure such rudeness in the morning.

Al Boyd: Customer service, was excellent. But I didn't appreciate being mistaken for a thief. I had the receipt was in my bag. I am a retired police officer, I don't need too steal anything from anyone.

Nathan Deunk: Very convenient location, and they've really improved the store since they moved locations. Unfortunately, Fragers employees and contractors consistently endanger the residents of the surrounding community by illegally parking on both 11th SE and Pennsylvania SE. I can't support a store that cares so little for their neighbors, especially when those neighbors are their customers.

Stacy Holt: After being cancelled on last minute by a different company. I got ahold of this gentleman & he explained to me that he does not do same day rentals. I explained to him that the bounce house I had originally ordered from another company cancelled on me this morning for my 3 year olds birthday party. He told me he was in the field picking up a princess castle and he would bring it to me. It was more than I was going to pay with the other company BUT it was beyond worth it!!! They came in and saved the day!!! Delivered an amazing princess castle for my birthday girl and they did it with Grace. Told me they would not let my princess down! Needless to say I know who I'll be using from now on when I need any party rentals!!! Thanks again guys you truly did save the day!!!
