Maria Fishere: I decided on this company based on the reviews and they did not disappoint. They sent 3 guys and a large truck. The company was very nice as were the movers. Very professional and honest. We were moving from one house to another so we had a lot of stuff including heavy items. My only regret was not requesting 4 people which would have been better for our move because even after 6 hours we still had more and ran out of time. I would definitely use again and recommend to others. They work really hard.

Jerrod Hudson: Excellent price and extremely helpful and service-minded staff. I am so impressed with the quick and great help. Movers showed up on time, dismantled the furniture, and loaded the truck very quickly. Both were extremely helpful and polite, and I have never experienced a better moving company before. Nothing was damaged or scratched, and at the new house, they placed all boxes in the correct rooms and re-assembled the furniture.
Jeremie Ferry: TriState Moving was fantastic. Carter was very responsive and flexible. On the day of the actual house move, they were in and in around for a 2 bedroom, 2 story flat, and dismantling the bed. The team was great on the other end, putting all our boxes exactly where needed them, putting the bed back together, and even moving the furniture around for us. We would definitely use them for moving again in the future and recommend them.

Nicolas Purdy: I have used TriState Moving on three occasions now, and each time I was very impressed with the services offered by them. As I work from home, it is important for me to be able to set up in a new place as quickly as possible. It is possible if you use their services. As well as getting the usual service from a moving company, they will collect and put your new furniture together, mount shelves, curtain rails, blinds, and do any other odd jobs there are to do when setting up in a new place. I was only left with unpacking the personal stuff.

It took a little time, but only because they ensured all the appliances and furniture were safe and efficiently packed in their moving truck. I was amazed at their ease with moving all the heavy stuff. The cost was reasonable, and the workers were amicable, friendly, and professional.

Molly Adamson Gilbane: Gentle Giant Moving Company did an outstanding job with our recent move. They were responsive, quick to schedule and book, and communicative during the weeks leading up to the move. They arrived right on time, both for packing and moving. All of the gentlemen were friendly and professional. They completely our entire move in less than 12 hours and took extraordinary care of our previous belongings. Journet Shaw: This is the 3rd time I have used Gentle Giant to move, but the first time using their storage services. I have used storage before so I was nervous, but the crew who arrived was excellent. I actually saw a familiar face with Ian who had helped to move me in my last place a few years earlier. I was impressed by how organized Dex, Dakarai, and Ian were. Everyone was very friendly and professional. Dex took pictures of everything going into storage and I received an inventory with those pictures for my records. I felt confident that my furniture would be carefully packed and stored. The moving and storage prices are extremely fair for the great service you get. Great company that I highly recommend.
Elise Moore: The entire experience with this company has been phenomenal from start to finish. The coordination was good, the packing crew was on time, very courteous and very careful with our goods, and the loading crew was also super careful. We had white walls in our condo and they were freshly painted, and there was not one mar or scratch! Amazing! I also loved the way the inventory is bar coded and tracked. High value items are photographed and tracked separately. I have moved many times and this was by far the best and least stressful experience I have ever had. Great job! Highly recommend!
Danielle Saroyan Ashbahian: We recently hired Gentle Giant Moving Company more than three years after our last move with them in 2018 and they were just as wonderful as we remembered. Elmer, P, Ricardo, and Amal were professional and efficient, and took especially good care of our fragile items. The movers wrapped everything up and were thoughtful in how they were stacking the large objects in the truck. They worked with our schedule, and showed up right on time to get the job done. They successfully hauled a heavy china cabinet with glass and mirrors over the deck outside from the second floor since it did not fit down our townhouse stairs. They came prepared with extra material to wrap the china cabinet, extra strong ropes, and tools. They also helped set up the china cabinet and tested the lights to make sure it was working properly. Overall, they went above and beyond to ensure that we were satisfied at the end of the job. We hired them twice, and would hire them again in the future. We highly recommend Gentle Giant Moving Company for any future moves.

My partner and I moved in together, and our moving team was so fast and efficient at each location they went to for our move. Our movers, Dex, Dakarai, Carlos, and Ricky were friendly, flexible when parking was difficult, very careful with our furniture, and SO FAST! I’ve had bad experiences with moving companies in the past, but our move coordinator Dominique was responsive and reassured me throughout the whole process. Hilary Hansen: I used Gentle Giant for my move and storage while I renovated my house. The guys are amazing! Very prompt, courteous and quick/efficient! Dex, Ian, Pernell and Amal helped me move back and they couldn’t have been better. They found solutions to any issues and even put together a bed that had been shipped to my house (that is to say, they didn’t move). Can’t recommend enough! And with their own storage unit, they made it so easy to move out during my renovation.
Naomi: The best moving company. I had to put my things Into storage because of an issue with an apartment. Gentle giant made sure all of my things were wrapped carefully and cared for. When I got my things out of storage nothing was broken. The move out and in process was also pretty smooth. The only thing I would say to take note of, is that if you want to retrieve a few things from your storage unit with them, be prepared to pay a small fee. Gentle giant was definitely on the more expensive side, but they got the job done! I really appreciate this company for helping me out and I would recommend them to others.
Skyler Fordjour: I had an exceptional experience working with Gentle Giant! From my initial phone call with Matt, I knew they were the company I wanted to work with. We had a last minute local move with two toddlers so we knew we had to get help packing in addition to moving everything. Matt was very thorough! He had me walk through every room of my home to take inventory and give me an accurate quote. He was so responsive, even on the weekend, which we appreciated since we didn’t have much time to prepare. Javier, Otelindo, Ricardo, and Andrei took an already great experience to the next level. They arrived to pack early, worked extremely efficiently (with very little direction from me lol), and thoughtfully left things out for us to use for our last night in our old home. On moving day, they worked just as seamlessly while I was in and out running errands. They even executed a very impressive moving strategy when they couldn’t fit one of our sofas through the front door. The team finished earlier than Matt quoted me both days which is a big nod to their integrity and work ethic. Most of all, they were so warm and kind. My husband was working so I was at home alone managing the move and I felt so safe and comfortable with this Gentle Giant team. That alone is worth every penny spent!

Diana Hajali: I’ve moved twice with C&Y Moving and they have been great each time. The employees are respectful and listen to what you want. They also finish the job in a timely manner and will put together your furniture for you. We even had an issue where we didn’t know where the bed frame screws and pieces had gone and they offered to go buy them from IKEA and come back to build the bed the next day at no extra charge. I highly recommend this company!

The furniture was packaged, handled and reassembled with great care & attention. They were so efficient with their use of time so they kept our rates down, with no hidden costs. Angela Grieco: I asked Carlos and team to help me move in early August 2021 and they were incredibly efficient, professional and knowledgeable. They did everything perfectly, from wrapping all of my furniture securely to packing my car for me. I was moving my things into storage for the first time and they knew exactly what to do at the facility and helped walk me through everything. Their hourly rate is a steal, but hiring Carlos and his company is worth every penny and I’ll never move with anyone else. I thought my moving day was going to be much more stressful, but it really wasn’t at all thanks to C&Y moving!

Jared Bell: I reached out with a late request for help moving. They were booked that day but offered to come at 6am to help us out. Another appointment rescheduled and they reached out to offer a better start time a few days later. Daamon and his team showed up in the pouring rain and got the job done quickly and professionally. They were careful with our furniture and boxes, wrapped items that needed wrapped, and asked for our input when there were questions. Very reasonably priced and very friendly/professional. C Lowe: I must say out of the moves I have made this was the best this far. The team was quick, precise, had great attention to detail, and were so motivated to get me happily moved. The owner, sent text messages to keep me updated on the process and what to expect prior to and during the move which was very unexpected; and shows how passionate they are about providing a great service. The pricing stayed the same as I was quoted and the rate was great! This team will also assemble items in your new home at a future date if needed which is also amazing. Kevin Dolloson: Petro and his team arrived on time —mind you, our closing was pushed back twice and he was very flexible with adjustments. We anticipated a 6 to 8 hour move, but they had all the furniture and boxes in our new house in only 4 hours. Other than Anton dropping a couple of boxes, Petro and Joseph were on point. There were very minor scuffs on the walls, no worries though … because the builders already said they would come through and do touch ups. This was by far, the best moving experience I’ve ever had. I will definitely call EZMoving again.

They padded and shrink wrapped all of my furniture, and used dollies and lifting straps I have never seen They even saw that I was short a few boxes and provided me with some extras that they had in their truck. The company helped me do it and it was done really fast – three days only. they arrived when they said they would at delivery. Patrick Malone: As part of my attempt to move a small number of items from one coast to the other, there was some confusion at the loading site regarding the contents of my contract. It resulted in far more items being moved then I had desired. In retrospect, I strongly recommend that individuals be present at the loading site when possible. It will help alleviate confusion and clarify any questions. That said, Ship Smart was able to reimburse me for the amount that was in question. Greatly appreciate their professionalism and responsiveness!
Kristina Brown: I’m still conducting business with them and I’m grossly unsatisfied. I’m moving my things from TN to VA and it’s been a hassle the whole way. I did the delayed service because I wanted my things received 3 weeks after packing them up. They charged me hundreds of dollars extra for “extra weight” (no proof shown or calculation explained) and I still haven’t received my things. They claim they are a couple weeks behind schedule and I have to suffer from it by waiting 6+ weeks for my things. Next move I’ll bite the bullet for a company that delivers without deceit. I’ll leave another review when I finally get my stuff Edit: I completed my business with them and am updating my review. I received all of my things a week earlier than the previously mentioned date and nothing was missing. There were, however, multiple damaged boxes (plastic and carboard). After speaking with customer service, they were very accommodating in moving up my shipment, reducing my price due to inconvenience, and reimbursing me for the damaged boxes. With all this said, I recommend using Ship Smart because 1. They are cheaper than most other companies 2. They rebox everything for you 3. They don’t lose your items 4. None of my items within boxes were damaged
Cindy GUTIERREZ: I was over 3,000 miles away from home and very overwhelmed with how I was going to get my belongings to LA. Ship Smart made everything really easy. I packed the boxes and they took care of everything else. I reached out multiple times with questions and always received nice, friendly service. Christina Vega: These folks are legit. My boyfriend called them 3 days before I needed to move after another larger company I had been working with for two weeks told me they were actually booked on the day we needed to move. So rude! These guys were available so we jumped on them without reading any reviews. On move day they showed up early and ready to work. They were super professional. Pointed out any existing nicks/bumps/scratches so there would be no confusion at the end. They wrapped anything that was breakable with their moving cloths. They even reassembled my bed once we got to the new spot! We not only tipped these guys but for their hard work we gave them some water and a plate of barbecue. They deserved it! Even though I hate moving I will definitely will use them again if need be.

Keatley Adams: Alan T and Melvin T were great! They were on time, really nice and professional, and super efficient. I would definitely recommend - it was definitely worth the money and cost effective, especially if you live in an apartment where there’s no bulk trash pick up. They carted everything down, including several pieces of furniture, in about 30 min, and were loaded up and ready to go about 10 min after that. Awesome service!

I initially was a bit nervous about the lack of prices on the website itself and the need for a call to get a quote, but it was extremely helpful in the end. On the day of my move, the team arrived at the stated time. They were extremely patient, given some extenuating circumstances on my end that caused the move to start late. The team was efficient, packing up my one bedroom apartment in about 90 minutes. They unloaded everything at the new location smoothly as well, even with the new location having stairs. And I appreciate the chit chat while waiting, it eased a lot of my moving say anxiety. My move ended up being 3.5 hours total, which included an hour for transportation to the new location. This was a bit lower than the estimate on the phone, which I (and my wallet) greatly appreciated. I absolutely would work with this company in the future.

His coworker was new to the company and Sean seemed to work well with him though he may have been taking on more weight than he was. We had a big job as we are a business but Sean had no complaints no matter how much we had to junk! Sean moved swiftly, with an upbeat attitude, sweating his butt off (and so was the other guy)!
