Insomnia Cookies: what do users think?

Kiara Lewis: Attempted to order a delivery last week and after an hour and a half with no update, I cancelled the order. Tonight, I ordered another delivery. Asher about an hour, the status showed that it was delivered, but unfortunately it wasn’t. I called the store and they were nice and sent out the cookies for redelivery. A few minutes before my order was delivered, the delivery driver called me rudely telling me to be downstairs because he wasn’t waiting or walking around the complex. Won’t be ordering again.

Andy kim: so the place was amazing, don’t get me wrong, dc is beautiful. their cookies, i got a six pack of 2 m&m’s, 2 white chocolate macadamia nuts, 1 birthday cake, and 1 double chocolate chunk. the m&ms were decent, though they tasted like subway cookies; the white chocolate macadamia ones were wayyy too sweet for me, and the other two were probably the best. this place is cool, if you’re not the sweetest person or have any other options, i would recommend getting a smoothie or something elsewhere. but hey, i’m coming back to try the brownie next so :)

Shelby Spann: One word: wow. The cookies are amazing and every flavor was great. I love that the cookies are warmed up when you get them. I will most definitely be back for more. Note: I recently had the cookies delivered to where I work after my original visit and the whole experience was great. They found me right away and the cookies will still warm when I got them to the break room.

Ruth Bonacci: This place has more than a few types of cookies. We got a six pack with six different flavors of cookies. You can get ice cream to take home and have with your cookies.

Edie Young: The cookies are great!! Staff is sometimes friendly!! I have gotten cookies here a lot of with my family!! When we get delivery, it is crazy slow and almost never warm.

KK KWOK: I always ordered their brownie and macadamia cookie—a great place to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Insomnia Cookies: what do users think?

Dan: Simply love love love the energy from the crew that worked tonight. I had a long work shift and crossing over from Springfield, VA just to make it in time and receive some warm cookies made the start of my workweek great. The vegan cookies are wonderful and so are the seasonal flavors. I enjoy my time here chatting with the other guests and workers. Definitely my go to spot for a late night sweet tooth. Keep up the great work!

Lane Martin: Awful delivery service. Did not come when promised. Left cookies outside in dark street even as I buzzed him in and he had clear instructions. Just dumped them on sidewalk, with no warning or alert. The only reason I knew the cookies had come, was that I happened to walk into a room that had a view of the street at that moment and saw him coming along with the box. Otherwise they would’ve been out there for ages, with whichever rats, humans, or roaches happened to partake of them. Took very long time to get cookies a few blocks. They had been promised “on the way”, ages earlier. Why lie???? I’m a few blocks away from store.

Ashlee A: Nice & small location, no more than 2 people at a time. Snicker doodle cookies were amazing as always at any location I visit. They even asked if I wanted to assemble my sandwich myself or they make it.

Christopher Walker: Shoutout to the new management!!! She made this experience better then all the previous times I visited this location. The cookies were warm and soft. Also, you can tell the new manager really cares about the customers experience. She is really trying to turn this location around!!!

Jennifer Dillon: First off cookies are great. If you can, dine in, DO NOT DO DELIVERY!! Back in April I placed an order around 1pm that never showed. I called the location, twice no one picked up, and the third time someone just picked up and like set the receiver on the counter with no answer. It took weeks of emails back and forth with “customer service” to get a refund. Their idea of “recovery” of a dissatisfied customer was a $10 gift card, halfhearted at best IMO. Against my better judgment tonight, 6/23/22, I decided to use the promo code and place an order for delivery. The order arrived pretty quickly but I soon realized the milk on the order wasn’t there. I asked the uber eats driver if he had it and he said “that’s all they gave me.” One strike against him for not double checking but I’ll save that complaint for another day. I call the insomnia location at 9:15 and the guy who answered says “we don’t have any drinks” and that I have to call customer service for the refund, that he can’t process the refund (which I know not to be true because I’ve been through it before). I asked him that doesn’t he think he could’ve at least called to give me a heads up about the missing item and what my next steps would have to be. This unhelpful representative of the brand then says (and here’s the kicker) “don’t you think that’s your job?” I told him that doesn’t even make sense then got hung up on. Bottom line: save the headache, most everything’s a little bit s*#tier now, and insomnia cookies is amongst the fallout. Now I have to go start the 3 week process of getting my $3.50 refund for milk… -Jen’s husband

Jacob Smith: I can’t give input on the cookies because i’ve never bought them for myself, but I have a few words about the customer service from the woman that called to check up on my order. I let her know that the person i bought the cookies for would be by later that day to pick the cookies up. As a member of the customer service industry, the way she handled that was totally unprofessional. She made me seem as if I was a burden and was very short with her explanation as to how things worked when it came to pickup (bc i’m out of state and i was buying the cookies for someone) It felt as if I was having to appease her when I was being completely reasonable and understanding. She may have been having a bad day, but it’s no excuse to have handled the situation the way she did. A little work on her customer service voice (attitude and detail) and everything would’ve been fine.

Roscoe Young: I would give zero stars if that was an option. I ordered for delivery and was maybe .7 miles away and it took well over 2 hours. Ordered at 10:30pm and they dropped it off t 12:30 without an alert or anything. I would recommend ordering from literally anywhere else as by the time the food got here it was cold and literally missing cookies from the order

Terry Dwyer: Spent $42 on 15 cookies, 12 regular and 3 of the higher price. Honestly they are like Subway quality cookie dough. Nothing special about the taste. The cook on them was abhorrent, which is what made them really inedible. Plus they were all compressed into a 8"x8" box. So not tasty, undercooked (except 1 was over cooked), and smoothed. Nice concept, horrible execution.

Insomnia Cookies: what do users think?

Safiya Parker: Insomnia cookie just goes perfect with a Saturday night out DC. We headed over from G st so it was about a 12 minute drive. Of course the longest part was finding a park. We were lined up outside to respect capacity. Ended up getting the ice cream sandwich with chocolate chip cookie, m&m cookie, plus vanilla and chocolate ice cream. Also loved the staff working that night, you could tell the make the time go by in a fun way.

Beatrice Parks: The customer service first and foremost was out of this world! Super friendly and welcoming, the cookies were fresh and good! We were visiting from out of town and will DEFINITELY be coming back, go check them out !

jbouguitar86: I love this H st location. They staff is always attentive and looking out to help. Shout out to the late night staff on 6/11/2022. Please give them a bonus corporate.

byron subero: One of my go-to for my late night sweet tooth.

Katie: Wish I could give this place 10 stars, they deserve every last one! Open late, check. FWERVERS Good location, check. Warm delicious cookies, check. Cookies filled in the middle with ice cream, check. Being able to pick delicious cookie flavors and the ice cream flavor for the dessert cookie ice cream sandwhich, DOUBLE CHECK!!

Ryan West: Ordered online, and they were delivered in 30 mins, still warm. What more do you need to know? It’s fresh cookies delivered at night…If you rate this anything under a 5, you’re a sad, unpleasant person.

Insomnia Cookies: what do users think?

Tasneem Mansour: This is my first time at insomnia cookies. Let me just say that since they make the cookies fresh onsite, be prepared to wait a while for the cookies to bake and cool off, but the wait is absolutely worth it! The staff was super polite and kept updating us about the wait times. The cookies are warm and fresh, and delicious!

Ienne Diloy: I went here for the 1st time to satisfy a pregnancy-related sweets craving. Worth it! My kids loved as well...make sure to eat the cookies warm!! Place was clean and not crowded when I went (830pm on a Friday night)

Alina Ayoub: The girls working tonight were so friendly and patient with the line of customers. The cookies were super yummy, warm, and fresh. These girls totally deserve a raise, 10/10!!!❤️

Krishna Bhavithavya Kidambi: We went into the store and ordered. They only let one customer at time which was nice as the store was small. We got the brownie with ice cream. The brownie was a little on the hard side but had a lot of flavor to it. The ice cream was also good. It a a nice place to treat yourself. The staff was very friendly too.

Christopher White: Order required 3 phone calls to check on the status of the order. This was over the span of nearly 4 hours. Best part was that I never received a notification from the driver that the ordered had been delivered, so I don’t know if it was ever delivered. Was told a refund would be issued but I don’t know what to believe at this point. Safe to say I’m not a huge fan of potentially losing $20 while waiting that long. Would’ve put 0 stars or less if possible. The biggest shame is that the cookies are actually great
